Probably long overdue story that we get to start off with here.
Thes Monday night streams.
Man, they have not been good for coach just lately.
Aziz, you confined that ****** knife fight.
And you are l there in the chat. Thank you, Henry.
But, man, these Monday streams have not been good for head coaches.
Just last week on Monday, we talked about Doc Rivers losing his job.
Of course, he was scooped up right away by the 70 Sixers.
But less than an hour ago, Adam Schefter broke the new Is that finally, the Texans have fired head coach and GM Bill O'Brien, as I just mentioned, I think This is a long overdue move.
Um, it looks like it looks like it's going to be.
I had his name written down here.
Uh, Romeo. Coronel.
It took me forever to find Romeo.
Cornell is going to step in as interim head coach.
Texans, of course, Trade away.
DeAndre Hopkins in the off season.
Bill O Brien said we don't need them.
We got all this other talent we can make up for it.
The Texans are Owen four sitting at the bottom of their division.
Um, even under the lowly, lowly Jaguars.
Guys, what do you think of this? Bill O'Brien firing? Was it the right time? Should it have been done before this? Did you do you think you should have? They should have let him run out this season.
I mean, it's not It's not like he never had a shot there, right? He's been there forever.
He's been the head coach, and the G m forever has never really been able to eclipse that.
That top of the mountain.
Um, with the Texans.
I mean, this was the right move, right? Yeah, definitely.
Um, whenever I watched the Shawn Watson and I feel like he's just out there playing like backyard football, and he's so talented that he can kind of do that and keep the Texans afloat.
But I was worried about Shawn Watson this year, losing Hopkins, because when you're out there playing backyard football and you're in a scheme, that doesn't really seem innovative, it all, um and then all you lose your best weapon.
It's like, Well, you can't do it all yourself If you're Watson and I've never been the biggest Bill O'Brien fan, it just just feels like there's no there's no creativity there in the offense.
And, like you said, he's had so much time.
Thio, try and turn this team around and do more with it, And this was kind of like if I was in charge of the NFL, this is something I've been wanting to kind of see happen for a long time.
So this was kind of like a non brand tanner move here.
Um, I'm excited to see what happens after this, Okay, Yeah, there's all that old saying.
Money can't buy you happiness, right? The Texans have the highest payroll of all 32 NFL teams, and they're sitting there going four and a lot of that seat.
Nobody to Shawn Watson, I know, but there's payroll obviously going to other places here on this roster.
There are other higher paid quarterbacks out there in the n f L a K Patrick Mahomes, and somehow Houston has a higher payroll in Kansas City.
I just heard that that's that earlier today.
So this is Ah, it's a long time coming.
The Texans disappointed me yesterday.
I thought, you know your own three.
You played three tough teams.
You're going home and you get a Minnesota team that I think a lot of us here at the site on these shows have agreed that they aren't quite a Z.
Good is even the market thought they were coming into the year on by.
A lot of us were a little bit lower on them.
Others so and they lose it home.
It it needed to happen.
It's good written, um, Romeo C****.
He was the head coach off the Chiefs, um, at one point.
So he does have experience in the the lead role on the sidelines.
I don't know if this season is possible to save.
I think this does have to give them a little bit of, you know, a bit of a firing up, I guess, in terms of the roster and the players, I'm assuming they'll play hard for Cornell, for sure.
Defensive coordinator getting promoted here to the interim coaching role.
But it doesn't make me any more excited about the Texans this season.
And it just, you know, it brings to mind how incredible it was if they put this guy in the role of not only head coach, but also general manager and some of the moves that were made pretty mind blowing.
And it almost feels like this team is gonna have toe kind of tear down here and rebuild around Watson in a way to me.
I don't know what you guys think, but the defense is bad, man.
I mean, they're gonna have toe.
They're gonna have Thio tear it down, probably to the studs, because, I mean, you're gonna bring in a new head coach.
And if you've got the highest payroll on a team that's failing year after year after year, and besides the Shawn Watson, who are the superstars who are the mega stars that you could name on that team.
There really aren't a lot.
So, Howard, how do they have the highest payroll? That is just asinine to me.
They're gonna have to find a way to either get rid of some of those contracts by either cutting guys or moving on from them.
They're probably gonna have to eat a bunch of money.
Probably gonna take some hits against their cap over the next couple of years.
So, I mean, this is a Texas team that we probably can expect to be at the bottom of the division for at least the next few upcoming years.
I mean, like I said, there are.
They're already sitting at the bottom of division behind the Jaguars, who everybody thought was trashed.
This we're gonna be trashed this year, but, um, there's just no way they say the season.
The Colts are already three in one.
Tightens obviously have only played three games because of Cove in suspension, but they're three.
And oh, there's no way the Texans air saving this season.
They're being outscored 80 to 126 right now.
Um, like this idea, like we all have been saying, Hopkins has gone David Johnson has been good, but he's not.
You know, he's not the type of player who is going to save your season.
So it's It's a mess of a year for the Texans overall.
Like I said, I think they're gonna have toe strip it down to the studs, and they're probably not gonna be good for the next few years.
And, oh, by the way, they don't have a pick in next year's draft.
In either of the first two rounds, they've traded those away.
The Dolphins have their first round pick, so as bad as they finished Azad as Houston finishes this year, the Dolphins, they're all for it because they're just gonna have a higher draft pick.
And they also don't have a pick in the second round.
This team has a third round pick a couple of fourths, and then everything else is, you know, they have five picks from the 57th rounds, so they don't even have an opportunity to rebuild in this coming draft.
Now that is, that is ugly.
So I mean, you're gonna have to hope that it on some 3rd, 2/5 rounders, then, like you said, you're gonna have to find a way to get out of those contracts.
Maybe by trading away guys, you can pick up some mawr, some more draft picks in years, down for a draft down the line in the future.
But also, teams around the league are gonna know the desperate position that the Texans are in.
And, you know, they're not gonna They're not gonna give them a favorable price.
You know, they're gonna be like we know you have to offer these players.
We know you're in desperate need for draft picks, so we're just not going to give you what you're asking, you know? And it's either it's gonna be a take it or leave it.
I mean, the Texans are in a very tough position right now all across the board.
It was interesting because the Jets were sort of the team on the hot seat this week and Adam gays, and it was like If the Jets lose, then Adam Gaze is probably gonna be out of a job, and they went ahead and lost.
Looks like Adam Gay is gonna be the coach, and nobody was talking about the Texans and then, like this happened and It was just very surprising.
I think nobody was talking about the Texans because everybody has thought for so long now, Bill O'Brien like, what are they still doing with Bill O Brien? And they just got to the point now where they're like, Oh, the Texans, they're not They're not gonna make a move.
They're not gonna do anything like we've seen this play out before.
But I guess oh, and four I'm not I'm not so much, you know, I'm not.
I don't I don't really know what the difference between winning this weekend and going one and three or O and four would be.
I mean, they're still gonna have a trash season.
He still traded away their best player.
I mean, he needed to be fired, so they made the right choice.
It's just it took them forever to make that choice.
So Romeo Crennel, as mentioned, gonna be the new interim head coach.
It'll be interesting to watch the Texans moving forward.
I will not be betting on the Texans, probably at any point this year.
I I thought about it this past weekend.
I had him in two of my 80 s pools and then I ended up changing them out.
And, uh, I was very happy that I did just bend down on the Texans all year and now without your head coach, even though he was a crappy head coach like, uh, still just more questions than questions and answers around that Texas squad right now, not Mawr.
Big news tonight is that Davante Adams is not playing.
Um, of course I heard rumors, and I saw some reports about he had sent a tweet out that got deleted.
I didn't see the tweet, but he said something about how he feels good.
But he's, um and he wanted to play, but that he's not gonna be playing tonight.
I ended up getting deleted.
So the Packers, it seems like, are doing what I thought they were going to do back in Week two.
After this injury happened, I thought, you know, they're rolling.
Their offense looks good enough.
You've got a by week in week five.
So why not just like Davante Adams, you know, take that full month off, head into the bye week on multiple weeks rest.
Davante Adams insists he feels good.
Wanted to play tonight.
The Packers decided to sit him down anyway.
Of course, they don't have animals.
So, um, just I guess what it comes down to is that they feel it's worth risking going three and one with your overall record than it is risking bringing your best wide receiver back early.
You guys think this is the correct move? Um, knowing that they're already down Lazard Just making sure to give Davante Adams these extra couple weeks Or do you think could be worth it to roll him out there and try and get a victory against the Falcons tonight? I think it's that definitely the right move.
The fact that they have the by next week and they're sitting here undefeated.
They're in a situation where they could totally do this and afford this, and they're still favored against the Falcons tonight, and they're definitely gonna have a good shot at, uh, beating them.
And I think this is just gonna ensure Erin Jones a bunch of looks tonight, and I definitely think MVS could be a really good play without any Lazard is going to be the number one there.
Uh, so that's kind of just an obvious pick, But like this is definitely the right long term move.
And I'm glad to see them doing this.
Yeah, give me all the MBS tonight because he's going to be the guy for the Packers.
And in a normal situation, I might be scared off and being like, Well, now he's not gonna have Davante Adams and Alan Lazard.
Uh, you know, pulling attention away from the defense is gonna be able to key on him and against Atlanta.
It all like this ****ing defense is terrible.
I fully expect Green Bay to still put up points.
Uh, looking at it from a betting angle, though, I think from if you got Atlanta at the 7.
5 7 numbers that we saw here throughout the week Congrats to you.
That's just that's a great play here in the sharp play has been moving Atlanta down here.
I'm seeing like, 5 5.
5, I think on the market at this point, um, out in Vegas.
But yeah, I think Atlanta has a better shot, obviously, to win this game Now I think it's a bigger and Jones game.
We could see a lot of Jamal Williams in this game and then Robert Tanya is the other name for fantasy.
If you're desperate and you need to throw someone in a flex tonight, that be the route I would be looking to go, Um, a Sfar is how I feel about the decision.
I mean, it's kind of conflicting for May it.
Davante Adams is saying he's good and the teams kind of, I guess, protecting him from himself a this point, you know, I guess for May I was, if an athlete saying He's good and he wants to be out there even if it's in a reduced role, you know, try and get him out there and e feel like that would be helpful.
But like you guys said, Green Bay, obviously not too worried about it. I mean, Atlanta.
They could be up 30 in this game, and from what we've seen so far, Green Bay will still come out on top.
So, um, but I think what this makes the the news of Adam's being out it just reinforces a play on the Falcons at that earlier number.
And then also, I'd be looking under in this game.
I don't know where the total has moved.
I can pull that up here, but I might be inclined to see about betting this under just if Green Bay is trying to slow the pace of play a little bit.
Offensively, I'm not sure how that will really play out, but it makes me more intriguing, given it was the highest total on the board.
Yeah, interestingly, 56 a half.
Accept what you have that.
That's what I have here.
I was just gonna say interestingly, it it really hasn't moved.
I think, Henry, when you and I talked on Saturday, 56 a half was the same total.
If I remember, I think 50 seven's maybe 57 a half of the highest.
I remember to like seeing even throughout the week.
So, um, yeah, it'll be interesting.
Atlanta's gotta win this game, though, right? So e think the stronger play here is Atlanta 80 s before this line move.
Now, obviously, with this sharp move down to the fives that we're seeing, it's a little well, I'm not quite as bullish on it as I would have been, but might still dabble in Atlanta a little bit tonight.
have broken my heart two weeks out of three here so far.
But, you know, we'll see.
Yeah, I was really You know, I was just, like, the fact that it's only 56 a half.
Like I thought I might have just been looking at, like, outdated information, and it hadn't updated.
I mean, you got it too.
So definitely surprising there.
Yeah, especially, um Well, I think one of the main reasons that really hasn't moved that much maybe is because Julio Jones and Kevin Ridley are both officially active for tonight.
So obviously that helps if you're down Davante Adams and Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones.
I mean, that point total is gonna move then for sure, but because they're only down Davante Adams.
And because the Packers have been playing without Davante Adams, Um, I guess.
Or they are. They are Donald Lazard as well.
But we knew that obviously early on in the week.
So I guess the lines makers just figured it wasn't gonna be that much of a difference.
I do agree with you though, Henry.
Um, even if you're not planning, I you know, throwing the ball to him 10 or 12 times or having them run 40 routes, you could still suit up Davante Adams.
You could still put him out.
There is a decoy, Um, maybe potentially throwing the ball once or twice, especially if he feels good instead of just making them sit on the sidelines for what's gonna be an extra two full weeks.
Now, you could just get him out there a little bit and have them, you know, like a particle part.
Um, excuse me like a partial participation in practice.
You could You could still have a suit up, do a little bit in this game.
But I do want to reiterate Robert Tanyon.
I don't think he's even a desperation play necessarily tonight, obviously, Especially if you have Davante Adams on who was in your starting lineup, and now you're scrambling for somebody to start.
I think Robert Tanya is a great play tonight.
The last two weeks, even with animals, art and everybody else on the field, he's had 16 points and 10.
Atlanta ranks 31st against the tight ends this year, so I actually like Robert Tanyon.
A lot is a play tonight as well as stern burger if you want to get and give him a look as well.
Robert Tanya, Obviously, probably the play between those two, but I don't mind either.
Packers tight end tonight, which is not something usually say out of packers tight ends is, um, you know, look for them to contribute in fantasy, but that that may be the case here tonight with both Italian and Stern Burger.
So, as mentioned, Julio Jones, Kevin Ridley, both gonna be active tonight.
And, uh, we will get back to kind of previewing this game along with the other Monday night game.
Just a little bit.
Mawr towards the end of the stream.
Well, right now we're going Thio, move on and talk a little bit about the top fantasy performers of the week.
Another thing that Henry and I talked about on Saturday night during the gambling show was Joe mixing.
Um, I said, you know what? Mixing is just He's not really a guy that that I want on my team all that much.
But he is not really a guy that I love or can rely on a week to week basis.
And what does he do? He goes out and just absolutely destroys the competition.
Uh, okay, but okay, but here's the thing.
So here's the thing like, it's not like he's never had a week like this before, right? My problem is, what's he gonna do the next two weeks? My problem is, he comes out, he scores 40 points the following week.
He's probably gonna score five or six points.
That's my big problem with Joe Mixon.
Obviously, he, you know, like I said he destroyed this week, was, I think, the second overall.
Or maybe even the first overall fantasy performer this week.
Eso his stock obviously skyrockets.
Um What What do you guys? What do you guys think now, as far as people who are who own or were maybe looking to trade for Joe Mixon, you think you kind of just hold on to him now or is there any, uh, is there any way you would still consider trading for him after a week like that? I mean, you're gonna have to give up a lot more now than you would have last week.
I probably wouldn't go ahead and try and trade for him right now, because, like I think you have tow Sell the farm at this point, but Joe Mixon was somebody that, like I still really loved going forward.
Like I think he's arguably.
I wouldn't say he's the best running back in the league, but he I think he's right up there with the best of him, like he's amazing.
And I feel like his biggest issue is he runs behind the bad old lines, like when you watch him get all the volume has been getting all year and doing nothing with it, it's he doesn't really have a lot of room to go.
And when I was thinking about this game, I kept thinking about last week when Myles Gaskin was getting all of the volume against the Jags, and it just felt like one move here there and he was gonna take it to the House.
And so Joe mixing this week, I was like, Okay, he's gonna be in that situation now and what somebody's talented as he is.
I was like, He's gotta have a good day, right? And then he went and just bald out.
And like his first touchdown, he had where he hurdled the guy, then took a hit in the end zone and still stayed up like I love watching, mixing play.
And I love that he went and produced this week.
I just think his biggest problem going forward is going to be lack of holes with that offensive line.
But with the Jags, they're kind of, Ah, team where you could move around a little bit on the line.
So I think that was sort of a big reason why you saw that this week.
And I think there he's gonna they're gonna continue feeding them and I like I love him going forward.
I wasn't too worried about it.
Um, it's interesting comparing him to Kenyan Drake because they were sort of both these high drafted running backs that people were having concerns about.
Uh and Drake had another bad week while mixing came out and bald out.
And, uh, I would definitely, at this point be a little worried about Drake.
Um, like I'm a Cardinals fan.
So, like I watched those games closely, and I think Drake is a very similar situation running behind a battle offensive line and chase Edmunds takes a good amount of the passing work, Um, and like Drake got so many carries in the red zone, and it there was just nowhere to go like it was like, How did he not get in the end zone? And it was like every time he's being forced out to the sideline and just getting and you can only really get one yard, there's not much.
There's so much to do with it.
But those kind of a long tangent on both of those players, I'm really happy to see mixing, um, come out and do what he did.
How are you guys feeling about those two guys? Well, I guess I'll start with mixing, uh, owning him in that one league.
That's about Jake And I started talking about him on Saturday because I was kind of like, What do I do here? You know, and, uh, at this point, I think I'm gonna be holding him.
And it's another Bengal who I'm gonna beam or looking to move, or maybe even part ways with all together.
And that's a J green.
We can maybe get so that in the wide receiver section.
But incredible day yesterday for mixing and those touchdowns to they weren't just your you know, your Jordan Howard one yard touchdown run.
Either they were, they were 23.
I think the other one was 30.
And then there was like a nine yard screenplay that he caught for a touchdown.
Um, and I think this Bangles offense, despite how bad the offensive line is, Joe Burrow is really good and some of these younger weapons that they have to Tee Higgins.
We're seeing him emerge a little bit.
Tyler boys doing his thing here each and every week through samples.
Not even a bad option at tight end.
I have a rostered in several leagues, even just the backup tight end eso if you need to fill that void on your team, for sure.
Um, I like the Cincinnati offense.
I think it's only going to continue to improve your the year goes along.
Uh, Borough is able to get better protection.
That's only gonna help him.
Tanner made a lot of good points.
There were just mix and struggling to run behind this offensive line, and I guess that is my concern.
So if you are a mix an owner, you might wanna be looking at selling him here after this big game And here's why.
The Bengals next six games.
They have the Ravens, the cults, the Browns, the Titans.
And then it's the Steelers and the Washington football team.
All right and off.
Of those 16 the Steelers, the cult's Washington, the Ravens and the Browns all five of them are in the top 10 in fewest fantasy points allowed to the running back position.
So as good as mixing is as talented as he is, that's that is a rough stretch and especially, you know, if you're a mixing owner and you kind of, you know, you've been waiting for this week and struggling here these first few weeks, getting a little bit less production out of that R V one R B to spot wherever you drafted him.
Yeah, man, if he doesn't come through in these next few weeks, you're going to be pretty up against it.
I would assume as far as making the postseason goes S O, that would be a case here in this situation where I would be looking to sell high.
I haven't quite made up my mind what I want to do in that one league, but I'm sure I'll have an update for you guys here because we goes on and then just on Kenyan Drake.
Man, I don't even know if is he gonna be out there next week? Because I don't think he returned to that game after taking the hit that he did And chase Edmunds, Uh, for my money.
He's a very good back, you know? He makes these very efficient with the touches he gets, uh, in a dynasty league.
I'm fortunate enough to own both Drake and Chase Edmunds, so that's kind of it's kind of like a major sigh of relief moment for me just having the back up there because that's been concerning.
And I guess I was a little worried about it, just given the, you know, Hopkins coming in and just all of the weapons in that offense on also, Arizona's line, like Tender said, is not one of the best in the league.
But Chase Edmunds has got to be.
If he's available in your league, he's got to be a major priority in terms of waivers this week, I would say for sure, just not knowing the status of Drake going forward, just like well, and I think like the most important thing out of all of that is again for Joe Mixon.
If you are keeping him and you're planning on playing him every single week, just again be aware that he is playing Top 10.
Defense is basically the rest of the fantasy season.
So if you're one of those teams right now who's like two and two, or maybe even your one and three and you're going to try and make a desperate push to one of the final spots in your fantasy football playoffs? Um, just be aware of that.
Like mixing might not be pumping out those massive numbers just simply because of matchups.
I do like I like Kenya Drake.
Here's my feelings on Kenyan Drake.
I like him as a back.
I think he's good, but I think owners this year across, you know, fantasy football all across every league probably kind of got duped just by seeing what he was able dio in those last few weeks of the year.
Last year in Arizona, he just exploded.
Um was so good for those final couple of weeks, but now I think we're seeing him revert back to who he actually is, who he was down in Miami on.
That's just a a pretty decent back.
He's not gonna put up those explosive numbers, especially on a weekly basis.
I do like Drake, but I don't know if I love him moving forward.
But this is what I've been waiting to share on.
Joe Mixon is all the talent in the world that has the ability to explode on a dime on any given day but dating back to 2017.
Listen to listen to his numbers in two week periods after he goes off for a week of anywhere near 20 or above 20 points.
This is typically how he follows it up all the way back to 2017.
5 points following week.
Five point to points.
Sorry I had to switch years here.
Week one of 18 2025.
9 points follows it up with nine points, 28.
Follows it up with 9.
5 points follows it up with 11 points, which is, you know, not terrible, but still you know you're cutting your numbers in half.
Um, here's more 17.
Follows it up with seven points, 27.
6 points follows it up with 9.
At least he finished that year with 30 point performance.
And then that leaves you are leads you up to this year.
Of course, last week, 42.
1 points and my prediction for next week is probably gonna be anywhere between seven and nine, maybe 10 points.
I mean, this is just what this guy has done, you know.
And over the course of his few year career now there have been strings in their strings in there where he goes to three weeks in a row, getting 15 to 17 points.
But when he really explodes, usually the week after, he immediately regresses.
So keep an eye out for that next week as well.
I guess, uh, if I had to make, that's really interesting.
I guess if I had to make a counter argument, counter argument for that is kind of touched on.
What Henry was saying is I think the Bengals offense is taking is moving in the right direction in a way that we haven't seen in the last few years since mixing has been on the team like with Borough at quarterback.
And I think Zach Taylor is a really good offensive mind, and I feel like Burrows Borough in this offense.
They're only going to get better as time goes on.
So maybe we start to see a little bit more consistency, had a mix and then we haven't seen throughout his career yet, you know? Yeah, totally fair.
And and like I mentioned, there have been straight.
There have been three or four weeks strings where you know he's not.
It's not peaks and valleys.
It is a solid, you know, 12 to 15 to 17 points in there.
But that's only, you know, my whole point is just when he really explodes, he usually takes an immediate regression, and then, you know, in the following weeks he usually climbs back.
But after a 42 point performance, I'm just not so sure we're gonna even see 10 points out of them next week.
Yeah, and the matchup again going up against Baltimore next week.
That's it's daunting, to say the least, but I mean, I don't wanna take away from what Jake has planned here.
But a guy who made me my words this week in San Antonio.
Ah, lot of people ask me about him going up against the Ravens, and I said, He's a bench for May.
He's I love him.
I'm buying on him like this.
He's rookie talent.
There's not a whole lot going on in this football team offense like Antonio Gibson's gonna have fantasy value the rest of the year.
It's just not gonna be this week against the Ravens defense that prioritized a poor run, uh, efficiency.
Last year they were up to number two through three weeks.
I was all invention.
Antonio Gibson and what's he do? He's the R P five on the week, 22.
8 points in people.
Did he have almost 100 yards receiving to like he wasn't just doing it on the ground.
He was, you know, Yeah, that's actually that's actually where a lot of it came from.
Only at 46 yards rushing into rushing touchdown would help, which helped him out.
But four catches for 82 yards and I think that just speaks a lot to the lack of talented pass catchers that Washington has.
They're playing behind this whole game.
Dwayne Haskins actually didn't have a pick in this game, which that amazed me to over 300 yards passing from Dwayne Haskins.
It must have been the the rumors of Alex Smith.
Or, uh uh, jeez, Kyle Allen that we were.
We were spouting off on this show Saturday night, Jake, but, uh, yeah, Dwayne Haskins came to play telling McLaurin had a huge day.
But this offense really is Gibson and McLaurin.
And I think after this performance, man, I might be like and Gibson into a weekly start.
And if it's like another defense like Baltimore, at worst, he's gonna be RB three or Flex, depending on the league this week.
Man, this was really impressive, I think, for the rookie, and he's got a lot of talent.
Where do you guys come down on that? That was definitely one of my bigger misses the week.
Yeah, I mean, I've That's what I think.
That's a really good point.
Um, like Gibson to somebody like I didn't even think about like it all this week.
Like I saw that Ravens matchup and I was like, No No, thank you.
I'm glad it wasn't just me that Yeah, definitely, But like, he totally just passes the eye test for me.
Like he just looks explosive and co quick when he touches the ball.
And if you could do it against the Ravens like this and the like, You said Haskins threw for 300 plus yards, so that's encouraging.
Um, I mean, it's definitely it definitely made a statement and, um, assed faras missing out on him like I did the exact same thing.
I benched him this week because, you know, I drafted him because of the potential.
I drafted him because I liked him going into this year, but that I think he was gonna explode early on in the season at all.
Especially not this week against the Ravens.
But, man, he did S o I.
I was wrong as well, doubting him.
But at least I have him on my team moving forward.
I actually this past week.
I, um, advised one of my buddies that's in a different league with me.
He was in a in a different league, but some guy really wanted Jared Cook, and he was willing to trade him.
No offense, and he said, You know, pick a player, make me a deal So I was like, Take Antonio Gibson.
He's just sitting there on his bench like he's not using them.
So, dude, literally trade give.
He traded Gibson and Noah Fan who? You know, fans hurt now, but who cares? Because he got Gibson out of the deal as well for Onley Jared Cook.
No idea what that guy was thinking, but apparently he really wanted New Orleans tight end down there the like, 40 year old Jared Cook.
But anyway, so my buddy was all happy because I I got him.
Gibson, I don't know if he started in this last week or not, but, uh, that was probably the best fantasy deal so that I've done in a couple of years, and it wasn't even for my team.
So I just thought that was kind of fun.
Gibson had 13 carries, and the next leading rusher was Peyton Barbara with three carries.
So I mean, he kind of looks like he might be the like the workhorse there.
Yeah, obviously establishing himself as the number one option they're showing he can catch the ball as well.
So I think he's a bit.
I think he's a good play going forward, at least somebody who should have high consideration instead of a guy who you're just stashing on your bench every week without a second thought.
Uh, number one thing I took away from this game is that RG three is now on my list.
Uh, I won't say he's on my most hated list, but he is on my very annoyed And I currently hate you list because that one ugly duckling interception that he threw from his own goal line, which why you gotta put him in on his own goal line? Can't you leave Lamar in there, pick up like 25 yards, something like that, get him off like, get you out of your zone a little bit and then put in RG three like that? That interception costs me three different bets.
It costs me the Ravens in two different 80 s pools.
It costs me Ravens second half live bet by Ravens minus six second half, and then it costs me.
The Washington football team team total under 15.5.
So that one interception cost me three different bets.
So I am currently not happy with RG three, but I guess that is neither here nor there.
Um, I don't know what you guys think.
That's a pretty moral of the story.
You gotta get ahead of that line, Jake.
It closed it for 14.5.
But, you know, if you got it earlier Well, so I hit my actual bed of Ravens minus 13.
But in two out of my three against, like, 80 s pools, you're not allowed to lock in your picks until Sunday so that everybody is on the same spread.
That's just how they That's just how they do it.
So by the time our commissioner sent, sent the sent the spreads around, they were at 14.
5, So cost me there.
I did push in my 3rd 80 s when I got them at at 14.
Like I said, neither here nor there.
That was just an ugly, ugly, ugly throw.
And I don't know why they put in RG three on his own goal line.
Cost? Uh, that probably cost a lot of people money.
Uh, a lot of people so, yeah, Thanks.
John Harbaugh, the other take away.
I just want to bring up from this game, I guess.
And you guys can chime in one way or another.
Your thoughts, this Ravens backfield.
It's just not it for fantasy football.
I think at this point, you know, like it's to me.
It just feels like a total crapshoot every single week.
You don't know who's gonna get the majority of that Carries.
Uh, you don't know who's gonna fall into the end zone because it seems like one of these running backs.
At least he's getting a touchdown each week.
You don't know which one is gonna be.
Yesterday was Mark Ingram, and he had fewer touches than the other two backs. I believe, right.
So you know I can't do anything with any of these guys.
I think if I'm holding anyone of the three, it's J.
But he's not a guy I could start, and I just looked out.
Mark Ingram in this situation, right? He had the highest draft capital of the three coming into the year, obviously, and if you want to keep him roster, that's all fine. and good.
But when are you gonna ever feel comfortable starting in and to me, that zone right now? Never.
So I just you know, it might be time to move on from this Baltimore backfield because I just don't see who's gonna have enough sustainable volume, and I know injuries.
They're piling up.
I know that changes the different outlooks for fantasy managers here week to week.
But given you know, other guys that I can pick up and plug in, even for some of these fantasy stars who are falling down where you starting these guys, I don't see it.
I took an Ingram in the fifth round in one of my leagues, and then I handcuffed him with Dobyns and my thoughts going into the season where the Ravens are the best rushing team in football, they're gonna put up a lot of points.
And I was like, I think we're looking at two running backs.
That could be fantasy relevant every week, and I've still stayed confident, like even going into this week that you might see a transition like you might see Dobbin start to get more passing work and make him playable or you're going to see Mark Ingram get the majority of the carries over Gus Edwards.
But Gus Edwards led the team and carries in this game, and this is something I'm really shifting my opinion on.
And it's really hard to trust like any of these guys like you're saying.
And the only reason Mark Ingram has put together two good fantasy weeks.
The out of the four is the two weeks he scored a touchdown and, like you don't really want to try and bank on that.
And I feel like it's going to take some sort of injury toe, either one of these guys, for it to matter, like I'm still holding on the Dobbins and Ingram.
But it's almost like I'm burning to bench spots, just hoping things turn around.
That's exactly my point is like you can hold on to them.
But can you? You know, for me, I I guess I'd be looking to do something better and like to your point on touchdowns to If you're playing fantasy football the smart way you don't wanna, I'll be playing it for touchdowns.
You wanna go chasing touchdowns, you jet, I just can't even see it being reliable week to week here from even Mark England.
Is my computer's freaking out here.
Can you guys hear me? Can't tell if I'm muted or not.
Um, so, yeah, a bunch of a bunch of stuff to think about their a bunch of great point.
Um, man, especially Tanner.
I think a lot of people, probably in the same boat as you.
It's just frustrating when you used to draft spots used to bench spots because you're confident in a pair of players or you think, you know things are gonna go a certain way, and then they go the exact opposite way, and then it's hard to cut.
Cut ties hard to cut loose.
I'm sure many people probably in your same position.
Um, that's so, Yeah, a lot of takeaways there from that game, even though it really was never that close.
Another game that was not close for the most part, but then was made interesting at the end was the Browns and Dallas, um, Cowboys game.
Almost the Dallas stars there, and I was like, That's not right.
The Dallas Cowboys game Man, we have a lot to talk about.
here like a lot.
So I'm just going to run through a few things and you guys could take it whatever direction you want.
Um, Kareem Hunt obviously has a boost in value.
It's not like you haven't been starting Kareem Hunt if you have them, right? I mean, he's been a solid running back RB two at minimum Flex.
Even like a eight man league, I would think you're starting Kareem Hunt.
Most of the time, he has outperformed, especially with last week after Nick Chubb went down.
I believe he's got more points to Nick Chubb on the year, but that is the whole point.
Here is Nick Chubb, now placed on IR with an M M. C.
So Kareem Hunt value boosted even Mawr.
If you haven't been locking him as a starter, 100% start locking him in Austin Hooper finally came alive.
I've been begging him for weeks, asking on the on these airwaves week after week.
What do I do about Austin? Hooper finally comes alive, finds the end zone.
I guess he earned himself one more week in my starting role.
B J breaks out for over 30 fantasy points for just the first time since Week five of 2018.
Let me repeat that Odell Beckham Jr has not had 30 fantasy points since Week five of 2018.
He balls out this last Hey, Balls out, Of course in this game had just a beautiful pass like our Excuse me.
A beautiful pass from Jarvis Landry.
I thought Landry was throwing that thing out of the stadium.
The way he wound up, I was like, There is 0% chance that the past is gonna be accurate.
I've never seen anybody throw a ball like that.
But, man, that was a missile right toe, right, Toby J.
And actually interesting enough.
This was his third best fantasy performance of all time.
Um, ranking back to 14 4015 where his to better performances when he was putting up, you know, performances in the thirties, mid thirties all the time.
He's broken 40 just twice in his career, but had 38 points something, um, this weekend.
So, you know, big day for Odell Beckham.
Third best performance of all time.
The Cowboys defense is really, really, really, really, really bad.
Um, I saw a video being broken down by Believe it was Daniel Jeremiah on Twitter.
I'll probably retweeted because he did A, you know, in two minutes he did a perfect explanation of you know why the Cowboys suck so bad and how they're sucking and lack of effort and stuff right now.
The Cowboys defense is last in points per game allowed 30th in total yards per game allowed, 23rd in passing yards per game allowed and 31st in rush yards per game.
So, uh, these top two worst in the league in all categories except for past yards, not looking good for the Dallas defense right now.
Um, CD Lamb low.
He looks super legit.
He looks really good.
He looks like the best pass catcher on that team right now, except for maybe Cooper.
I think he's gonna be very sought after in future fantasy drafts.
And then, finally, I posed this question to you.
Is this the best game that the Cleveland Browns have played since returning to Cleveland back in the nineties, or whatever it was? Um, I There you go.
We've got all of that to talk about.
So hit on whatever topics you want.
Take it whatever direction you want.
Like I said, Ah, lot to pick apart in this game, which, of course, Cleveland ended up winning.
Uh, Tanner, let's start with you.
What do you got on all these things and just this game on these two teams in general? Yeah, so definitely a lot toe.
Think about here.
But I had the Cowboys and our Survivor pool this week.
I was like the Browns on the road, the Cowboys air coming off a loss who I think are a good team.
I was like, I really like this pick and I just Stefanski is going to become one of my favorite coaches in the league because the Browns haven't been above 500 since 2014.
And then when they hired Stefanski in the off season, I was like, Is he actually going to do exactly what I want the Browns to be? Which is a run first team with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt? And that's exactly what he's been doing.
And they, like the Cowboys, could not stop the run or anything in this game.
I love that they're leaning on the running backs and the play action game.
Um, going back to that Jarvis Landry touchdown throw like that was a dime on the run, like he hit LBJ perfectly in stride like it was like a great throw, even for a quarterback, Um, left handed to it always.
You know, obviously, that's he's left hand dominant his whole life.
But any time I see anybody make a throw like that left handed, I'm just like, Wow, that's extra impressive.
You know, it just looks nuts.
Yeah, for a second, I was like, Did he Did he throw that with his off hand? Like I was like, No, that's that's not possible.
But like CD, like you said, he looks super legit.
Rest in peace. Michael Gallup.
Like I thought it was gonna take a little while for CD to get going, being a rookie receiver despite how talented he is.
But that's not the case at all.
Like he could finish this.
He could finish the year above Amari Cooper.
Um, as far as like, Dak Prescott goes like all those defensive stats you just read on the Cowboys.
That's only gonna be good for deck.
From a fantasy, perspective is bad for the Cowboys, but it's ensuring that Deck has these game scripts where he has to throw a bunch to keep up and they have to score to win games.
So I mean, he had over 500 passing yards in this game.
Um, he's gonna continue, like Thio, possibly lead the league in passing yards and continue to be great.
Um, for fantasy.
Um, this is the best Browns game I have ever seen.
I can't speak for since they came to Cleveland.
But for like the past 67 years, I can't remember a Browns game that was any more encouraging This and I'm honestly kind of excited for it.
And from Nick the Nick Chubb standpoint, though, I don't know what you guys have seen, but I saw that he's out for, uh, he's on.
He's on IR the short term I R.
And I saw that he's out for several weeks.
The official I saw six weeks, but I think he could maybe come back sooner.
It's obviously great for Kareem Hunt, but Yeah, I think that's all I got for you guys.
There's a lot, yes, certainly a lot to unpack from this game.
Dallas is defense.
Not pretty on drily, you know, if they don't have to come back against Atlanta there and the miracle on the on side kick this Cowboys team, Zohan four.
I will say one thing, though.
Dak Prescott is going to get paid because if not for him, they are owing four number one and number two there one and three.
It's a lot worse of a one and three because they would not have even been competitive in these games.
I'll start, I guess, with the Dallas offense, uh, CD land.
He is the wide receiver to here, and I like I think a lot of other people was wrong on this one.
I liked Gallop coming into the year, even if it was just MAWR attention diverted from him.
But they're really not using him in ways that he has a stable fantasy floor.
I guess it seems like he's always a target on the deep balls.
Uh, the the pass is that have a lower catch percentage to me, I guess just watching them and you know, we're seeing it it that's not a sustainable fantasy football floor.
I don't think I want to drop him just because of injury.
Somehow we're toe happen here to Cooper or C D Lamb.
Uh, suddenly Gallup becomes a lot more intriguing from a fantasy perspective.
Tomatoes so well, he's definitely has to be out of starting lineup.
So at this point, I think we can all agree on that.
I do want to keep him around just a za stash on the bench if I have the space affordable.
And I think, you know, for a guy of his talent, uh, they certainly will on Ben looking at the Browns man Odell Beckham, This might have been his best fantasy game of the year.
So, you know, while it's great to be an owner this week, uh, I don't wanna have my hopes too high that he's gonna explode like this in another week.
All season long, Cleveland, like Tanner, said, This is a run first offense, and that's you know how they need to play.
Uh, even losing Nick Chubb in this game.
Cream hunt we saw what he could do is the lead back, the guy in Kansas City, and obviously some off the field issues led to the dismissed.
They're from the Chiefs.
Now he's in a role to do just that once again here in Cleveland.
But I don't think it is gonna be all Kareem Hunt.
Uh, if you have the roster space available this week, I love me some.
The Earnest Johnson, Uh, he had, uh, several touches in the game yesterday.
The former Orlando Apollo's member.
If anyone remembers the Alliance of American Football Um De Earnest Johnson, there's a reason he had touches yesterday.
And while we know agreement can be the guy, I don't think that's what the Browns want to do.
Because Nick Chubb we know he could be the guy as well.
And yet we saw a pretty even split between Hunt and Chub here when he was healthy, where they were just both, you know, eating up carries, eating up yards and taking pressure off this passing game.
I think you're Johnson's gonna have.
He's gonna It might not be quite the Kareem Hunt role, but he's going to slide into a stable role there where he, uh, you know, we'll see going forward.
But he's a guy who might warrant flex consideration, depending on how things shake out.
He's definitely worth a spot on your bench because Kareem Huntsman battling a groin injury coming into yesterday as well while he looked fine if he were to suddenly go down.
You wanna have Johnson ready with the way this teams running the football on? Then there was one other point.
Um What was it? Oh, Austin Hooper.
This'll game still not putting me on Austin.
I'm sorry to break that to you, Jake, because I know you're still trying to ride with him, and he came through yesterday.
I just don't trust it.
I know the tight end position is you know, it's all that here in terms of fantasy football, we got guys getting hurt in such as, Well, um, he's still not a guy that I love.
See worth Roster spot. Yeah.
Uh, is he somebody? I'm comfortable running out there each and every week to get me.
You know what we say? A minimum of 10 points.
I mean, I don't love him moving forward either, but like, you know, stuck with him for this long.
You find they finally performed.
I would hate to stick him on the bench next week and then have him, you know, have a decent performance again.
So he's on a very short leash.
Still, you know, pretty disappointed overall with him.
But overall, I agree.
I think you should pick up.
Especially if Chub Chub is going to be out for 64 weeks.
I think I think you should pick up.
Kareem comes back up.
Um, I don't I don't usually like to play the hypothetical game.
Sometimes it's fun.
But, man, could you imagine Kareem wants still on the Kansas City Chiefs right now.
Like everything all the same.
So they still have Edwards layer all that stuff.
Like, could you just imagine e don't know they'd be They'd be probably unquestionably one of the best offenses ever.
And I think just to finish that tight end conversation, uh, well, I'm sorry, Uh, just to finish that tight end conversation, I think looking at the two tight ends in this game, I would rather have Dalton Schultz, then Austin Hooper going forward.
And I am 100% confident in saying that he's had a real role in this Dallas offense.
And that's the role that I thought Blake Darwin was gonna have, and Dalton Schultz has proven capable.
This week, another top five tight end showing off snooper was the tight end.
Five, according to the PPR numbers I have here and Schultz one up them again.
2 fantasy points from Donald Trump's The Tight End three on the week.
If he's not rostered in your league, I don't know what you're waiting for because he's a weekly, started the position and then that I saw the same thing.
I forgot to mention in that, uh, Nick Chubb.
That's what I saw six weeks minimum.
So that would give him two cycles on the i R.
The reduced I ar here a t least for this season with Cove.
It is three weeks eso he's on it for the next three, and then the only way he would be able to come back sooner is if they leave him off of it for the second cycle.
I'm I'm assuming they want to take their time about, especially when you have other capable guys here who could step up in Hunt and Johnson both.
I'm glad that you brought up Darius Johnson.
My two final thoughts on this are, uh s I was just, like, piggybacking off during this Johnson 13 carries.
I'm like, you keep interrupting, you guys.
Is that, um I mean, with Nick about like, I definitely like the play.
And he was making a lot of good place to on that that limited work he had.
Like, I was watching this game with my friend who's a Browns fan, and he was getting, like, super excited every time he touched the ball because it felt like he was just breaking a tackle every time and getting like really hard earned yards.
And, uh, also going back to how you were talking about my uncle gallops usage.
Like, I think you said it exactly right.
Like CD is getting this dependable usage you could rely on every week, like the way they're using them in the offense.
And gallop is just the odd man out who they take the deep shots on occasionally and like last week when you scored a lot of points, that deep shot worked.
But like more times than not, that's it's really not going to be the case, and it's you're definitely not going to get, like, anything dependable from him going forward.
I think 13 carries 95 yards for Johnson yesterday, 7.
3 yards per carry average that amounts to.
That is pretty **** good.
Um, and, uh, exactly what you said right there.
Tanner was kind of how I broke down what I thought the season was gonna be for Michael gal back in the pre season when we were writing fantasy football articles and, you know, turning out content for Fleury sports dot or GTA.
I wrote kind of my potential bust article, and I'm about I'm hitting about 50% on that article.
Um, I said Russell Wilson in that same article, I said Russell Wilson is gonna have a down year, so I definitely missed on that one.
But I perfectly predicted what exactly what happened and exactly what you said right there about Michael Gallup.
I just said he's playing.
He's playing in a a offense with an ocean of talent.
They're gonna wanna get CD lamb involved.
He's the young, you know, new talented receiver.
And then you gotta marry Cooper.
You've got Dak doing it himself.
You got Elliot like there's just an array of options, and now they have a tight end stepping upto to the plate and you know, playing really well as well.
I said, Michael Gallup is just gonna get lost.
He's gonna get buried in all this talent.
And that's exactly what has happened so far.
Eso at least that was right about you know, that one thing in that article, um, and then my other.
My other final point to going back to conversations that we had pre drafts and pre season was Dak Prescott is becoming one of those one of those top quarterbacks who it's okay and it's probably needed to go after in early rounds like it's okay if you want to reach for this guy if you want to take him in an earlier round.
Like I think I took him in like the fourth, maybe fifth round and two of my leagues, and I said it was like him and Josh Allen right now or where the two guys coming into the season that I might reach for a little bit outside of, of course, Lamar and Patrick Mahomes.
We're talking like obviously not first round guys, but guys you're gonna take early on in the draft.
And I think Jack is living up to that, and I think he's going to continue to live up to that.
I mean, the last three weeks he scored 39.
28 and he's thrown for 454 172 and 502 yards.
So I know Henry.
I think one of your concerns with do***ent it was act coming into the season was that Zeke was crying for such a big year and Zika he's gonna do so much and it's going to take away from death.
I said I wasn't I wasn't worried because you can throw the ball to see can he still gets those stats as well.
He could throw it all over the field because he's got amazing receivers across the board.
I just wasn't worried about that at all, and that seems to me panning out as well.
So Dad, moving forward I mean, he's a guy.
Don't be afraid, Thio to go up and get him in future years, especially if he can continue to run that he's on.
Ah, this year, I think we I think we've pretty much you talkto ad nauseum about that game.
If you have any other questions or concerns about that, Browns and, uh, Cowboys game shoot him to us in the comments or otherwise, we're going to move to the last top performer that I wanted to talk about this past week.
It is Tom Brady.
I know coach Kevin Schroeder, who who is part for the fantasy part of the Flurry fantasy team and does the streams of us, has had Tom Brady two weeks in a row as a sit and two weeks in a row.
He made him eat his words.
I was kind of joking with the coach on slack about that.
Tom Brady comes out.
He's the second overall Q B and fifth overall top scorer this week with 32.
He's now put up over 20 points in three out of the four weeks this year and has 11 touchdowns.
Guys, is it time to stop doubting Tom Brady? And would you even go as far as to say you're comfortable playing him every week because he did this without Godwin's.
Well, want to throw that out there? Just in case anybody forgot? No, Chris Godwin.
This past week, he goes up on 11 toll, little overall, 32 points.
What? So what are we doing with Brady here is to move forward.
Yeah, that's a really good point that he did without Godwin.
I was gonna bring that up, and at first it was looking really shaky in this game because the Chargers got out to a really big lead.
Herbert was looking great, and it was like this Tampa Bay really have the offense and capability to come back in this game.
And it's really encouraging to me that they came back and Brady threw five touchdowns and they like, and they somehow managed to pull out that win.
Um, just this Bruce Arians scheme like it's so fantasy friendly for the quarterback position.
It was like a big reason why I liked Brady coming into the year.
And if this game Brady needed to check it and he did, and it was nice to see that he can and he can gin and he can be the source of this offense and I really like the weapons that they have to.
Um, Mike Evans already has multiple touchdown catches on the season.
They have a really solid group of tight ends.
And when God one comes back, it's just gonna be extra firepower for this offense.
So I'm totally buying Brady just because I think he still has it.
I really like the weapons.
And I really like this Bruce Arians scheme.
I mean, Jamis Winston was the quarterback five last year for fantasy football, and they're all like, they they always put up big numbers.
Um, so I'm very encouraged for Brady going forward.
Yeah, he's definitely impressed here these last couple of weeks.
Um, I guess my concern with Brady going forward is just the health of these Tampa Pass catchers, right? Godwin's set to miss at least another week here.
Mike Evans is playing hurt, uh, there on a short week this week against the Bears.
So who knows who they'll have available? Scotty Miller.
Questionable going into yesterday.
And now they lost O J Howard for the year, probably to an Achilles eso.
The past catching cord just continues to be decimated for the bucks.
Assuming letter for Nets back for this game against Chicago.
And we would know, obviously, how the Bears offense has looked here and against a Tampa Bay defense.
Who is the strength of this team.
And I firmly believe that still, even after yesterday, I don't know what happened yesterday in this game.
This was one of the lowest totals of the week.
I liked it to go under, even at that total, and it's a shootout.
E guess that shows how much I know, but I'm still going to stick with that.
The Buccaneers defense is the strength of this team, especially given all the injuries on offense.
If for Nets back, that just gives Tampa Bay the ability to ground and pound, and I think that's what they're gonna want to do in a what should be.
I mean, I started last week against the Chargers.
There should be a defensive affair, I would think on Thursday against Chicago and Nick Foles in that situation with what they have going on there.
So I'm not starting Brady every week, But he he continues, he continues to get it done.
I will say that and Tana brings up a lot of good points there.
I think about the scheme is well, uh, Aziz.
Some of these, you know, injuries and such.
These defensive match ups and what you would think Tampa Bay wants to do against some good defensive teams as that continues, going forward in a negative light in a positive light is Brady still had to learn this playbook.
You know, switching teams its first new playbook.
He's had to learn in 20 years or whatever it's been, so he's only going to get more familiar with that.
It's only going to get more comfortable with weapons he has there.
And so on the positive side, there's that for you. Going forward.
Yeah, and I think you can credit.
Obviously, some of those picks six is even though, you know, people are saying that happened to him at the end of the year last year and, uh, and New England as well.
But I think you credit some of that pick sixes to just the unfamiliarity with three offense in the playbook so far and just the fact that yeah, he is, you know, he threw touch that he threw touchdowns of five different people, so he's trying to spread the ball around.
He's trying to include everybody, and sometimes that means you're gonna throw an interception, and some some of those interceptions are gonna be returned.
But overall, I think Tom Brady, as has looked good.
But I think the big key is that Tampa Bay defense and I think you can credit, maybe not this entire win, because obviously the offense had a great second half.
But you can credit, um, the defense for putting the team in a position to win.
They were getting killed throughout the entire first half.
People on Twitter were just tearing them apart.
Obviously, they were getting torn apart by Justin Herbert as well.
Then they create that turnover towards the end of the second towards the end of the first half.
And that's all you need.
You get braided the ball, they punch it in the end zone.
Now we got a 10 point game boom.
Bucks are off to the races, so you do have to credit the Tampa Bay defense a ton in this past week.
I mean, the game could have been entirely different if the Chargers drive down, even end up with a field goal, they're all of a sudden they're up 24 points instead of 10.
Or whatever the case, whatever the math would have worked out to be second half might have ended up looking differently.
So lots of credit there to the Tampa Bay defense.
Um, yeah, but I I think Brady eyes more of a situational play on a week to week basis.
But I'm gonna be now mawr inclined, leaning towards starting him or having faith in him than leading towards, you know, benching him in a questionable week.
He's just proven that, you know, even without God, when he's still gonna find a way to get it done And, uh, five touchdowns speaks for themselves, speaks for itself.
Coach, Thank you for the thumbs up there.
Thank you for the tip.
Appreciate anybody watching us, Especially as we lead up to the Monday Night Football doubleheader, Which we are going to jump into right now because I know kickoff is in about five or 10 minutes, so I just want to throw this out there really quick in case anybody wants looking for some last second bets.
Uh, the bets that I like tonight are over three field goals, paying plus 1 20.
This is for the Kansas City and New England game over three field goals pays plus 1 20.
I like the total first quarter points for both teams, so just the total points at 8.
5, it seems really low. To me.
It seems like the Chiefs, at least they're gonna put up a touchdown in the first quarter.
Then all you need is a field goal from either side.
So I like the over 8.
5 total first quarter points and then I like the Patriots first quarter over half a point.
Um, so I mean, there's many ways they could hit that.
There they could hit a safety, a field goal, touchdown. Anything.
All you need is a half a point s.
I like the Pats.
First quarter over half a point, and then the Pats first half over 7.5.
Those are my three bets for tonight.
Um, but now we could run it back a little bit.
Just kind of do a little bit of overhead preview for these two Monday night games, and then we'll hop off and let the people enjoy their football.
Of course, it is going to be Brian Hoyer starting against starting for New England because Cam Newton out due to covert reasons.
Um, just kind of funny to me, because Stidham, much like Jordan love has been a healthy scratch for each of the first three weeks, has not seen the field or padding in any of the first few weeks.
Just funny to me that people.
A few months ago, people legitimately thought that Bill Belichick's Onley plan rolling forward this year was to just try out there with Jared Syn.
Um, and you know, make the best of it and see what happens.
Like No, that was never the plan.
Obviously, that was not the plan.
They signed Brian Hoyer.
They bring them in Stadium hasn't even suited up until tonight.
So Brian Hoyer going to see the field tonight.
Now, I did not confirm this, but I heard this stat on two different radio programs, so it's gotta be true.
This is the Patriots biggest underdog since 2000 and two.
This is the biggest underdog they've been since 2000 and two.
Um, they were not a double digit underdog at any point the entire year that Matt Cassel took over for Tom Brady.
So it's been 18 years since they've been this big of an underdog.
Obviously, it's luck of the draw.
Instead of playing some average or crappy team this week without Cam Newton, they, of course, have to play the Kansas City Chiefs.
Still, I think they're only like 10.
I don't have a huge lean on this game one way or the other on the spread.
Of course, if I'm gonna pick one, I'm gonna pick the Chiefs to cover.
But, um, I and obviously like the Chiefs on the money line here.
But yeah, that leads me to those three bets that I just threw out.
There are four bets, actually, that I just threw out there.
Guys, how do you see this game? What do you think? We're going to see how to Brian Hoyer.
I mean, Brian Hoyer has been one of those guys that he's, you know, time after time after time.
It's like, Oh, Brian Hoyer is not that bad.
He's a he's a capable starter, and then Brian Hoyer's, you know, goes out and is Brian Hoyer.
So what do you think we're going to see tonight? Do the Pats stand? Any chance in this game? Give me your preview here, Henry.
We could start with you.
I'm curious to see how it plays out.
There's a couple things on the New England side I'm gonna be watching for, uh, one, obviously.
Is there a huge drop off here from Canada where I think you're definitely gonna see a drop off.
Is it worthy of the line? Going off the board at 7.
5, whatever it waas when Cam was ruled out or tested positive there Saturday morning and now being at the new, uh, it opened that reopened 11.
Got up to 11.5 in some places.
And I don't have the market numbers in front of my should.
Pull those up here before we go off just to see real quick.
But I've got draftkings open up game.
They took it off the board because the game must have kicked off her is kicking off.
Here we go. It refreshed 12.5.
Right now it's a 12.5.
5 okay, and it just 11.
So there's massive movement, right? I literally just watched it move. A point and a half.
So if I would agree with that movement, if you're going to give me that many points with Bill Belichick, I don't care whose 100 center.
Give me the dog Here, give me the underdog patriots.
Um, I know it's a road game.
I know it's a tough spot.
I know they're down.
Their starting quarterback defense is still good.
Um, there's I can't I can't lay that many points against Bill Belichick. I just can't.
And in the past several years, I don't have all the numbers in front of me.
I know it's rare to see doing would obviously be this big of an underdog Biggest underdog.
You said since so, too, but even just touched down dogs or whatever.
It was at the original line when it was hovering around 6.
Though that was a big line for the Patriots in the past decade, and every time I'm pretty sure that Belichick has been that big of a dog, I think it was going back toe.
09 or 07 Something like that, Uh, they've covered.
So I'm going to take the points here with New England's.
I may seriously regret it, but I like the Patriots is a plus dog here on a bigger dog at that.
Now, in this one with the line change and the other thing I really want to see here in this game tonight, Sony Michelle's been ruled out, and Damian Harris, uh, the young back out of Alabama that has hardly seen the field for the Patriots here so far in his NFL career.
He was activated earlier this afternoon off of IR, so he has a shot to be out there.
It's not exactly a great matchup to make his debut, but he might be a guy that you're looking to grab in fantasy leagues, depending on what he does tonight or even just going forward.
Michelle's at every opportunity to take this job as faras, the ball carrier for the Patriots.
I know you have James White as the past catcher, and we've seen Rexburg had to find things when whites been out a swell.
But for me, Sony, Michelle obviously has not stepped up to claim this job.
I don't have a decent game last week.
I don't make too much of that now. He's hurt.
Uh, Damian Harris is gonna have a shot here, and he's too talented back Thio for me not to believe in, I guess, or not give a bench spot to, uh it will be interesting to see how the snap share and what not play out here tonight.
The line line just moved to 14.5.
If you have access to the draft kings and you, uh, over a 12.
5, back down to 12.
5, back down to 11.
5, Man, this line is moving like nuts.
I'm watching it in real time on the draftkings app right here.
So if you are lucky enough for about those five seconds to grab New England at 14.
5, you might you might be having yourself a pretty good night.
The other thing you could think about doing as this fine just continues to move, not move to 12.
You might consider just watching and grabbing whatever the live line is after the first Kansas City possession, especially in Kansas City looks good or puts up any points on the board, that line will probably move towards the Patriots favor even more so you might be able to get him around 15 or something like that.
That might be the move right now with the line moving moving so much.
So if you are interested in live betting this game, be precisely watching this first or these first two possessions here as the line just continues to bounce tax in the chat, he just said the Chiefs get the ball first two.
So that would be perfect to play right into that theory.
If there's a question down there.
There you go. There you go.
So quick touchdown.
Or even a field goal that that line will probably briefly move another point or two.
You could grab a live line there for yourself.
So, uh, yeah, as we have 30 seconds into the first quarter now.
So it's all about live betting.
Uh, Tanner, you got the floor.
What do you think of this game? Yeah.
So, Jake, you were saying how you really like the first quarter points and you would have to imagine that the chiefs wanna get out, like jump out to a quick lead in this game and put the pressure on Brian Hoyer and the Patriots offense to try and come back.
So I'm sure they'll place a lot of emphasis on trying to put up points early in this game.
Not that that's what you're trying to do every week.
But, like, I definitely think that might be part of the game plan and going off of the fact that this line is so crazy to see the Patriots this like big of underdogs in Week two, it was against the Seahawks.
It was the first time I want to say the stat I heard was since 2014 that the Patriots had been underdogs, uh, in a game.
So we got to witness, we got to witness history in Week two, and now we're witnessing history tonight.
The fact that they're this big of underdogs, Um, in this game, um, I'm really roll tide.
I'm really excited to see Damian Harris, uh, out there.
He's one of my favorite players.
I've seen Alabama, um, Josh Jacobs being my favorite, and I think he's a really good player.
So, um, I'm really excited to see what he conduce in this game.
And if he gets a lot of touches, um, Brian Hoyer, I think it's pretty capable.
It's really gonna It's gonna be interesting to see how the Patriots move the ball.
Definitely think they're going to try and keep possession as long as possible.
I think that's the only chance they have at winning this game.
So I think you're going to see ah lot of rushing and trying toe run out the clock.
But I don't think that I really don't think the Patriots will be able to win this game, uh, without Cam.
But if there's anything that could recover from it against the Chiefs, it would be the Patriots.
So that's an excellent point.
Um, as, uh, Draftkings just took the game off the board, so they must be adjusting based on whatever is happening in the game.
I don't have the game on.
I'm gonna turn down as soon as we're done here, but yeah, I know that.
I mean, that's those are great points.
Um, I don't think the Patriots have any shot, but, you know, like you said, if it's gonna be one team, it's gonna be them.
It's gonna be Bill Belichick.
It's gonna be, uh, a guy like Brian Hoyer.
Who everybody, for the most part, like Brian Hoyer, Who cares? But he he might come out, light it up.
He knows the system he's been familiar with, you know, Bill for the last 10 12 years, however long he's been in the league.
But I would have liked to see Bill Belichick just completely flex to show how you know how big is nuts are.
Just roll Jared Stein him out there.
And not only like, of course, try and win the game.
But even if you could have covered the spread with Jared Stein, I'm like, you know, that's just so much more impressive than Brian Hoyer, Brian or does not excite me.
We've seen him in New England many times before, like we know he's obviously capable in that system.
I would have liked to see Bill Belichick roll the dice on stadium, but apparently he, uh, he didn't think that was the correct course of direction to go as a line moved back upto 14.5 now.
So, um, you're probably not going to get any better than that 14.
5 15 unless Casey just really starts to dominate.
But if you think there's gonna be a close game, it all grab that 14.
5 to Bill Belichick like you, said Tanner.
That's when you go six years not even being a one point underdog, and now you're over two touchdowns. Underdog.
Um, yeah, this line is just It's entertaining just to watch, because it's like it's there for 10 seconds and then it's completely taken off the board and then it pops up and it's 2.
5 points difference.
And that's completely say, now it's up to 15.5.
Yeah, so here we are.
Line watching live on SportsCastr.
I know it must be entertaining.
Um, anyway, let's move on to the second game of the Monday night doubleheader so that we can sign off and watch some football.
Of course, it is the Packers taking on the undefeated Packers, taking on the nothing but defeated at this point.
Give me some of your keys to victory to both sides.
Obviously, we talked about right at the beginning We talked about the fact that don't have the Adamses owed Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, both active Robert Italian.
We already talked about quite a bit.
I think I think both I think running backs across the board are gonna be a key to this game.
Obviously, Atlanta has the advantage in the passing game here tonight, but I think it could be a Todd Gurley and Erin Jones kind of battle the bets I like here in this game, our first quarter total over 10.5.
So its total by both teams over 10.5.
I like Todd Gurley over 64 a half yards.
This is probably my favorite toe favorite. Better than night.
Mason Crosby over 8.
5 and you're getting I think it's only like minus 1 20.
So pretty decent pay out there.
Crosby over 8.5.
I feel like he puts up at least two, probably three field goals tonight.
And then, of course, extra points count as well.
So lock that Crosby over 8.
5 in and then I like either Erin Jones or Aaron Rodgers as the first TD score obviously a massive discrepancy in pay out there.
Erin Jones Onley plus 3 50 Aaron Rodgers plus 3700.
So those are the bets that I like.
First quarter total over 10.5.
Todd Gurley over 64.
5, Crosby over 8.
5 points and Erin Jones or Air Aaron Rodgers to school for the first TD.
Guys, how do you catch this game? You think of, uh, has much more of a chance here in this game than New England does their game.
Packers could struggle tonight after three really impressive weeks on offensively could struggle tonight without both of the top pass catchers.
What do you see out of this game? I think you're definitely going to see a reliance on Erin Jones.
I totally agree with you from the running back standpoint.
I mean, without the two top pass catchers, like the run game has completely been working and clicking for them.
And they're just gonna lean on Erin Jones and maybe even, uh, Jamal Williams a lot in this game.
And I'm glad you brought up the Aaron Rodgers uh, first touchdown bet because I saw that somebody put a bunch of money on Brady to score and that I think I believe it was a Monday night game against the Bucks in the ST.
And then somebody put a bunch of money on the home to score the first touchdown last week in the Monday night game.
So I told myself I was gonna put money on Aaron Rodgers to score the first touchdown for this game.
Um, and I forgot.
I might go ahead and do that, but I agree.
I mean, I feel like the Packers have had very successful weeks in a row now and without the two top pass catchers like, you can maybe see them take their foot off the gas a little bit, like maybe they don't have the same motivation.
But then you're trying to play like a storyline there.
Um, I think the Falcons will make the definitely make this game competitive, and this I think it's going to be much closer than the other Monday night game.
Yeah, for me, Falcons have toe win.
So, like I was saying earlier in the show, if you got them around that when this line was hovering up around two touchdown.
I like that a lot, especially with Davante Adams being announced out.
No album was hard for Green Bay.
Atlanta's defense, too.
I'm not going to sit here and say that.
I think they're a good unit by any means.
It is interesting, though.
Just look at the adjusted efficiency numbers they do rank 20th overall, uh, in adjusted defensive efficiency, and that is with individual rankings against the past and run their 17th in both categories.
That's a little surprising to me.
I guess that's a little better than I thought Atlanta would come in, you know, metric of that, that ilk.
But I guess when you think about it, they have not been terrible for the first half of some of these games.
And then it's just fourth quarter collapse is even the first three quarters last week and against uh uh, shoot.
No, I guess they weren't that great against Dallas in the first three quarters defensively, but it's a little interesting there to see them higher up in that metric than I thought.
I think the Falcons are, Ah, live dog in this game to win outright as well as cover, Um, should Green Bay win.
Yes, but it will be interesting.
I think this game will definitely be closer.
Uh, than the first, uh, Monday night game here tonight, as the line would suggest.
Tanner, any thoughts, Any further thoughts on this Green Bay and Falcons game? I feel like you're I'm definitely gonna watch the Falcons in this game because I really think you're going to see what they're made of because, like, Henry was saying, this is a game that they have toe win.
And if they come out and just flop in this game on the road than, like, it's gonna look, it's gonna look really bad on their part.
So they're gonna be on the ball in this game and doing, and they're gonna pull out all the stops and do everything they possibly can to get a win.
So I really think you're gonna learn a lot about this team.
Yeah, totally fair on again.
You know, I think the packers, at this point, I think they're comfortable with where they are, even if they do end up three and one.
Obviously, you don't wanna lose this game.
But you already three.
You know, you're already the most dominant offense across the board right now, they don't have a single turnover.
I mean, things are going really well for the Packers.
So, um, even if they even if they lose this game, um, to a you know, beaten and beaten down Atlanta team who's just back into a corner and desperate for a win right now, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world, especially when you got in immediate bye week coming up.
So I'm gonna be, uh, I already said on Saturday shows, Well, I expect the Falcons to stay inside the number, obviously gonna be cheering for the Packers to win the game.
I don't have a bet on this game.
Eso I don't much care about the spread either way, as far as my my checkbook goes.
But if you're on the Falcons, I think it's pretty good, Pretty safe bet tonight they have pretty much their entire offense going, whereas the Packers absolutely do not.
Um, that Casey line was bet all the way down to plus nine and or that New England that was back all the way down.
And now it's back up to 11.
So that's gonna be a line to watch.
And you might even be able to get a few different live bets in before the end of this one.
And then again, we get to run it back in just about an hour, hour or so with the second game of the night.
