What's going on, Guys? Ray route here and we're coming back at you for the SportsCastr new NFL Team edition of our Sunday Morning, I guess week we call pre game.
But it's like our weekly pregame when we break down all the games of the weeks.
I'm joined, of course, by Joe Nouveau, Keith McPherson and Lawrence O.
And all the regular characters here to enjoy this game or to enjoy this breakdown today.
But boys, before we get into our predictions, we always cover story.
And today, I think, is the most relevant.
One is, does the NFL need to adopt a bubble plan to save this season? Look, we already had Tennessee in Pittsburgh game postponed until a later date because the Tennessee Titans there now have a full out outbreak on the team is more and more players and personnel test positive as we go through it week by week.
We also have now Cam Newton, who tested positive for Kobe, 19 as well as the scout team quarterback on Kansas City yesterday.
That game is postponed.
It looks like till Monday or Tuesday, what a great matchup that's gonna be.
That's gonna draw eyes.
Brian Hoyer versus Patrick Mahomes.
Paul, you're the destroyer.
And what we've seen is now is a also on top of covert.
What we've seen is is a widespread of star players being injured across the league.
Um, and there's nobody to blame but the NFL and the NFL p A and guys, please.
I ask everybody, Don't let the n f l p a fool you and put all the blame on Roger Goodell over this thing because they're just very Justus, much responsible for what's happening right now.
They thought that their players were impervious to shorten conditioning times.
They thought they were impervious to not needing a preseason.
And you're starting to see stars going down all around the league.
The NFL, on their hand, was hell bent on starting the season on time.
I think they were so arrogant that they thought that they were bigger than a pandemic.
When a bubble was suggested, it wasn't researched.
It was just dismissed as impossible.
But now the NFL is saying that they're considering putting teams up in hotels and creating local bubbles.
Don't fool yourself, boys.
This is not me being a sensationalist the NFL season is now officially in jeopardy of finishing this year.
We're now officially there.
We've now had multiple teams.
We had a false negative last night in New Orleans.
What happened if he would have been positive? This is where we are now.
On top of that, if we go through the way it has to be.
The Chiefs have to play three games in nine days.
Kansas City and New England want to play two games in a five days span.
We have no idea when Tennessee is gonna be back on the field because there's more and more people test positive.
That's another two days.
Another two days, another two days.
What we're gonna tell them you could start practice on Thursday for your game next Sunday.
Come on, the NFL, guys, I'm gonna tell you right now, the NFL needs to shut down right now for two weeks.
Create the bubbles and start again, because if you don't the season, you guys just say no.
And you guys might.
You think I'm crazy on this panels.
But when the season shuts down Week 11 and it's over, it's gonna be the worst.
I told you so in the world.
We watched the n B A shutdown.
The NHL shut down Major League Baseball shut down, and what could happen is the NFL stays open.
Maybe some teams have to drop out.
Maybe like Major League baseball, some teams don't play the same amount of games.
Maybe the playoffs are predicted and created by winning percentage rather than actual winds.
And let me tell you this right now, as far as I'm concerned, Major League Baseball World Series this year is *****ed.
You didn't play.
Not everybody played the same amount of games throughout the regular season, and it's not fair to the champions, but it will always have an asterisk beside it.
And if the Super Bowl champions win this year and there was teams like let's say, Kansas City, Mrs three games with the Patriots missed two games or a team doesn't make the playoffs who played a full 16 game season? But a team who played a 12 game season makes the playoffs.
That's Super Bowl.
Be aspect as well, and or what? If you lose a team like Baltimore because they just too many guys get it? The NFL could very easily fixed this problem in two weeks.
We gotta go two weeks without a season, and we're back at it.
And I'm gonna say this right now.
Money was not the problem.
It was the motivator.
Arrogance from the NFL and the NFL, p A and all the owners was the problem.
I think we need to go to a bubble system or this season could be over before we know it.
Uh, peace will start with you.
Where would you suggest the bubble be like? What state? What city? No, I think you could do localized bubbles.
So New England, you put New England in a hotel.
All their personnel, all their staff, all their players Onley.
That play team is in that hotel.
You take a team bus to the facility, you take the bus back to the back to the hotel.
You're not involved in public.
It's the same way as being in a like a one state bubble.
You can get on your private jet.
That's all been isolated.
Fly to the stadium with the other team that's been in there with their local bubble on the other side, you can isolate every NFL team from the world in their own states.
You don't need to do it within like an MBA bubble.
You could do it properly and just say, you guys don't leave the hotel.
All the staff were vetted, and I From what I understand the bubble.
All the staff that are working in the bubble have all been bubbled as well.
You make a deal of the hotel, you find teams that and poison or doing it, so you could very easily do it.
You don't need to do a state where it's everybody goes to New York or everybody goes to Texas.
Everybody goes this.
You could do localized bubbles and keep your players safe.
Your Dallas Cowboys did it during preseason.
They were all going to hotels.
We're all gonna keep ourselves safe.
I just get the idea that the NFL doesn't want to do that.
They don't want to shut down.
They don't want to create bubbles.
They had the most runway out of all of the league's to figure out a plan, and this is a plan that they went with.
We're not canceling any games.
We're gonna cancel the preseason.
We're gonna roll through all 16 and we're gonna push through and not one player.
And not one team is bigger than the shield.
And there there's almost zero chance that they shut down for two weeks and create a bubble.
There's a high chance that they have to shut down because of the government.
Uh, you know, if the coronavirus, uh, test the positive spike, they might be forced to shut down, But I don't think they're shutting this thing down.
Thio, think of a bubble strategy now.
They had, Like I said, they had the most time, the most runway to figure it out.
They're gonna push ahead.
They're thinking about adding a week 18 you know, pushing on.
I guess these games, if they, you know, this week gets washed.
And if they can't figure it out, what the by weeks pushing the season to an extra week? I don't know. I just look at it.
It's like it's the NFL's arrogance.
The NFL is king.
They own the day of the week.
And, uh, you know, this is America.
America loves football.
Everybody stops what they're doing and plays fantasy football and gets ready Thursday night and something like, I think the NFL is just gonna push through.
We're gonna see teams and players come up with positives.
I'm still kind of questioning some of these tests in the preseason.
There's a lab in Jersey that they had some false tests that were all wrong.
Like there's just a lab that had a bunch of wrong test.
So, you know, we're not even sure of the validity of the tests.
I think the NFL is gonna push forward with with what they have now.
I don't think there will be a bubble.
I think there might be a week 18 but we might.
It might get crazy, it z interesting to see that the NFL is a quarter of the way through, and now the coronavirus is starting to affect things.
When you said the MBA had to shut down halfway through the season, MLB had to shut down during the preseason and figure things out for a few months.
Theo NFL had all of that time and they said, No, we're gonna do 16 weeks and we're not gonna create a bubble, and these guys are gonna be allowed to travel and go around their cities.
And who knows? I think they're They're investigating Tennessee right now.
They probably want to figure out where those people all went, whether they went somewhere together, whether they party.
Nashville is a crazy city. Crazy town.
There's plenty of places to go get a drink.
Uh, I don't know how many master worn out there haven't been a natural in over a year, But I think the NFL is investigating what went on that 18 people on that team have come up with positive.
Well, and I'm looking at the same a scam.
Newton. You live alone.
Your family is in California.
You live alone at the facility.
Apparently, all you do is leave the hotel and go to the facility.
But the thing about Cove it is you can get it at the grocery store.
You know, he could have went toe whole foods or whatever.
You know, vegan store.
He went to and picked it up there.
That's the issue.
Joe Lawrence alternate to you guys now because this is an exact scenario that we talked about all offseason.
What happens? Where does it go? It's the season in jeopardy.
I think all of us were kind of saying, we hope this season and finishes, but we all weren't very confident.
And this is us after anything.
Lawrence and I were both complement in the NFL of how well they did during training camp.
But now here we are in this situation.
Joe, I'll go to you first, man.
So forgive me, because I just woke up.
So I'm still trying to form thoughts here, but, uh, yeah, it sucks, man, because, you know, I think we were all trying to just including the NFL.
I think they were just trying to push through it like Keith said, and just say, Let's just try to go all 17 weeks and see what happens.
You know, I think that that that's what the NFL's plan was.
I actually don't hate the idea what Ray brought up to.
Just take a two week break, figure your **** out.
That way we can actually have the full season, but I don't think that they will do that, just like he said.
I just I just don't see them doing that, Um, but I do think it's a smart decision, and also I don't I mean I hate that this has turned into like a political thing because it's not.
The facts show that if you wear your mask, you don't get Cove it.
Why is that so hard? Like to compute for Americans, man, and I just don't get it at all.
But, hey, it's whatever.
So it just just to defend the United States of America, we It's the same here in Canada, right? It's It's all over the world.
You have massacres, anti massacres.
You have people who tell me this is just the flu.
You know, like it's it's you have that everywhere.
D says that masks only help prevent the spread of it by 18 percent.
They don't stop anything.
I mean, it helps some.
It helps 18% chance to help.
Yes, and and it's to help keep it from getting some exactly.
You know what seat belts don't guarantee you'll live through a car action, but they increase at least yeah of surviving.
You know, people still die wearing their seatbelts and car accidents, so I think it's, you know, it's it is what it is.
We don't want to turn this into a whole political No, that would be political.
But no, I look, the NFL in general, I think, had a good system going with the whole testing on a daily with the whole band thing.
To be able to go back and backtrack and test people that they found, you know, in case someone did come back because people were bound to come down with it, no matter what.
Even if you're in a bubble, people will come down with it at some point.
Uh, it's just not the NHL or MBA.
Not one single person is caught in The NHL.
Didn't have one single case after how long they have been in the bubble? No, they're sitting in the bubble, and I think that nine weeks or something, they were in the bubble before they finish in the in.
The NBA is on, like a 10 week.
No one should be in the problem about Yeah, but we're talking about, like, 32 individual bubbles is what you're talking about, right? Yeah, but it will still work.
You still have people bubbled.
Well, I mean, you're still gonna have outside influences coming in you're gonna have delivery drivers giving food.
You're gonna have, uh, the people in the hotel, the hotel staff, interactions with other people.
They'll be bubbled to like the MBA, All this house work.
How do you get everything That that everyone in the hotel need drink supplies, toiletries? Because there's no way.
Yeah, there stuff coming in.
Still, So you have a contact list delivery the same way when I order my, you know, skip the dishes or uber eats here, they leave it on my front porch.
Like if they have the covert and they just leave it, you still touch the thing that grabs it.
You're picking up with Lawrence.
I mean, you're you're arguing like the little things that we've just seen it successful twice.
We've just seen two different leagues put up a bubble and not one single case come out.
Yeah, we're talking weeks.
The NFL thing NFL might be able to do a playoff bubble, but like there's no way now that we're four weeks in, that they could just bubble these guys in hotels in their cities like the NBA bubble.
I paid a lot of attention to.
I would think the individual teams would have to do that in in effect if they wanted to do something like that.
Like, actually drop their whole team into a hotel.
I don't wanna live in hotels unless they're on the road.
Especially if you have families.
Yeah, I'm not I'm not saying that.
How great do the Tennessee Titans feel right now? Going home to their families, knowing that them not being bubbled and going back and forth is now just brought cove it into their house, You know what I mean? Listen, guys, this is the same is like helmet to helmet hits.
This isn't Somebody needs to die.
You know what I mean? Somebody needs to catch it.
That's the only time.
When anybody No, I'm not killing people.
Like like no, none of these players.
They're going to die from it.
I'm not wishing death on anybody, but it's like everything in the NFL.
Somebody needs to get seriously hurt.
Somebody needs to die.
Somebody needs toe, have CTC tea in order to make a change in order to make a change.
And guys you know what? I Okay.
I am not an infectious disease specialist.
Okay, I am a mental health specialist, though it's what I actually do for a living.
And now I'm thinking about these Kansas City players in these Patriot players who not only dealing with the mental languages, somebody on their teams testing positive Kobe people they've been in huddle with and all that kind of thing now having to try to focus on a game which is already heightening your your mental health stress because the numbers of mental health and the impact of Cova is staggering right now, suicide rates have doubled, mental distress has tripled.
Right? These guys like Let's stop talking about the league for second start talking about the human beings that put on the pads and put on and and have flesh on their bones.
And so there's more than just getting sick or dying or anything like this.
You know what I mean? And we already see guys like Josh Gordon who his mental health has gotten the best of him.
We've seen guys go downhill and start going into drug and alcohol addictions and cove in 19 and the impact on the mental health across society not just United States.
But the world has been gigantic.
It's way bigger than just physical health.
And that's my concern with the bubbles.
Because just can you imagine these guys staying in a bubble for three months, maybe four their mental, but you're not.
You're not isolated by yourself, though, right? You're you're not.
You've got lots of people around.
You guys gonna start opting out? Yeah, well, you don't think you don't think some teams right now they're sitting there going on three.
Don't think Matt Ryan said and they're going The hell with this.
You know what I mean? The hell with this.
I'm just gonna take my losses and I'll be back next year.
We might see that.
We might see that we might start seeing star players say, The hell with this.
You know, injuries.
Even with the injuries guys we're looking at, like everyone's got a groin, a hamstring, if not a a CEO or an ankle.
Guys, they're gonna start looking at it and saying it's not worth it.
It's getting cold out now.
We're getting closer the holiday season.
People are gonna really start making some decisions.
And I don't know, I think what really frustrates me, and then we'll get into the predictions.
But what really frustrates me and I think it was like a Keith of Joe.
Sorry, I can't remember who but the NFL has had since March, when they watched all the other leagues shut down to come up with a solution.
You know what? We test 40,000 people in my province every day.
We're still getting ah, 1000 cases a day.
Testing just tells us yes, I have it or I don't And I need, you know, isolate.
But you did nothing to protect your players.
Besides, put I'm not like the masking is a joke to me in the NFL.
Well, the coaches are getting fined for not wearing masks on the sideline yet.
None of the players have it on.
You know what I mean? They're all they're all touch each other and it's all optics.
And I think what frustrates me is you could have looked at bubbles.
You could have looked at things.
You could have made people feel safe, and maybe some guys opt out.
And maybe some guys who did knocked out Dont'a Hightower opted out because he's got a baby at home.
Maybe if there's a bubble he looks at and goes, You know what? Maybe I will place.
I'm not bringing it to my child.
If his wife's good with it, that's a conversation you have with your family.
And we saw hockey players and basketball players opt out of the bubbles.
And we saw guys who had three months, three months olds at home go into play the playoffs and go into into the bubble, right.
We saw it around the world or around the league so we could have seen you could have a much different league right now.
Fact of matter is the NFL did nothing.
They pushed forward because again, it was their arrogance.
They, the NFL, I believe, thought they were bigger than the coronavirus.
The Shield is bigger than everyone and everything, man.
Watch how they try and push through This season.
We're gonna We're an interesting rest of this season.
I think what scared me scares me the most was von Millers explanation of the coronavirus e and when he said This is a guy that suffered some serious injuries in the NFL, who came out and said he's never been in a much pain as he waas And even if nobody dies, if Cam Newton gets really sick, if he gets the pneumonia gentlemen, from someone who had pneumonia in January, it doesn't matter how fit you are, how great your lungs are.
That thing lingers.
When I when I started healing from my pneumonia, my doctor said, You're going to see residual effects for a year a year.
It took me three months to get my wind back where I wasn't running out of breath walking up the stairs.
So, yeah, he might be back in five or 10 days or two weeks, but his physical conditioning could be awful.
So not only are we losing stars to injury, you could start losing stars because of this, and not just for two weeks For a season.
The NFL is completely and utterly and the n f L P A.
I'm putting it on them, too.
They have dropped the ball.
The players in the league dropped the ball.
This is not just Roger Goodell.
I'm seeing a lot of blame on Goodell right now and yes, he's the face and he's got to take that accountability.
But the NFLPA and its players are just is responsible for what's happened right now.
What? They're a bunch of players that did wanna opt out.
And then when they went to the facility, they said that, you know, they felt really safe because of the precautions that the teams, well, how they how they separated everything up the way they were.
Uh, so in distancing also, yeah, everything optics.
It's not necessarily stopping anything.
This virus isn't gonna just stop because there's a glass panel next to Lamar Jackson's locker.
Like I've seen the Ravens lockers all have those. They have every.
I think every team has those.
But unless you're sanitizing every minute and a half from what I understood, every time a player ended up contacting something, they sanitized instant like like when you're in a training room.
Like I think three people are allowed in the training room at a time and you're not allowed to be within 6 ft of each other.
And then those three people end up leaving.
They sanitized the entire room and then let three more people in.
So the meat packing factory down the street had similar, almost looked like an NFL facility the way they set everything up, and everybody decided to go back to work because it was really safe.
And they couldn't believe that the steps the company took and after 120 people contracted covert three weeks later, they realized, No matter what precautions you put in, it's a It's a virus.
It's AARP articles.
It lands on your shirt.
You touch your shirt and rub your eyes.
You have cove it.
It's impossible to stop the spread unless, like a lot of us did earlier.
You're sitting in your house, not leaving.
You know what I mean? And and on Lee and bubbling yourselves and isolating yourselves.
And it's the only way to.
The only way to prevent it is not be around it.
Yes, masks will help.
Gloves will help.
Hands washing, help, all that kind of thing.
But yeah, they do all that stuff and then you go on the field and, you know, I'm thinking, if I'm a Minnesota nose tackle who's lining up face to face with the center against the Titans last week, I'm thinking, Jesus, this guy is breathing on me, coughing on me.
You know, and you've got these guys just cough on the field because they just, you know, they're they're out of breath because of a run.
Ah, lot of things that that could go wrong in this system.
And the NFL did nothing.
They tested every day and put up some plastic.
If you're on the field, you should be negative.
If you're on the field, no one on the field should have co vid.
The thing is, when you're off the field and we're looking at 32 different teams in different cities, different states, different rules, different guidelines you mentioned MLB.
I'm watching the San Diego Padres fans the other night.
It looks like they're having a World Series parade after the Padres.
When I'm like, this would never happen in New York.
Did you guys see Georgia yesterday? Does the stands in Georgia for the oh yeah, for all u G A.
So that's what I'm saying.
There wasn't even a seat between them.
You don't care anymore.
It's been it's been half a year with this more.
It's been half a year with the coronavirus, and you can't police everyone You can't tell everyone what to do.
So many people are just moving on with their lives.
But there's an NFL season going on in the NFL, but in the NFL could have policed itself.
That's the The NFL could have done a lot more.
I honestly was back then.
I was like, Man, the NFL is gonna crush it this year because they have so much of a runway to figure out how to beat this thing and you could and they could have easily.
And guys, I'm We're getting short on time, so we'll finish up here.
They could have easily looked at the best state.
I mean, look, I know Texas isn't doing the best from a population standpoint, but you could have easily created a bubble in Texas.
You know what I mean? With the amount of stadiums they have their they they didn't even change the schedule.
The schedule that came out last year they were sticking.
Thio mean Texas has high school stadiums that our NFL caliber at least on the field and facilities, and maybe doesn't.
And if you have no audience, it doesn't matter how many people that can hold.
You know what I mean? Yeah, easily.
Could have put in things.
I mean, the Toronto, like the major league baseball, the adaptions.
I mean, the Toronto Blue Jays got booted out of their own city way, kicked him out of Toronto and said, We don't want teams coming back and forth If MLB is not gonna, you know, bubble and isolate.
They ended up playing in Buffalo.
You can make changes now.
You know, Keith had a big problem. Buffalo.
It's a story for a different day.
I see a huge I see your sweets.
I saw your e your tweets, But alright, guys, let's get into the games now.
Um, Joe's got about half a now, er, before he's gonna run off to his other pre games, so we'll fly through his best we can.
Let's start out, boys.
The Jacksonville Jaguars versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
I'm gonna throw it right here. Upset alert.
They're gonna bounce back after last week, I'm taking Jacksonville to beat Joe Burrow in Sydney this week.
Key to start with you, man.
Uh, they're not the favorites here.
They're the underdogs.
2.5, definitely taking the Jags.
I think there are better team on.
I think that Minshew is gonna have a little chip on his shoulder to not go out there and lose to Joe Burrow today.
Give me the Jags.
I agree. Lawrence.
I still don't see anything positive really? Coming out of Cincinnati.
I don't even like the look of Joe Burrow so far.
I think Jackson is gonna win.
I don't think it's gonna be an easy game.
I think it's gonna be a hard fought game, Joe going against the grain Here, give me the bungles.
I'm saying bro Borough is gonna figure out how to throw more than five yards today.
This is going to be the game.
He's gonna He's gonna toast C J.
Henderson is gonna gonna be beat on some double moves there.
All right, I'm gonna throw it 70 times.
He's gonna he's gonna throw for seven yards today.
Today is the day that I finally feel confident picking the Dallas Cowboys as they square off against the Cleveland Browns.
Keith, I'll give it to you, but I'm taking How about them boys? I have to go with your Dallas Cowboys.
I'm scared, man, because we should win this game in Jerry World.
We should beat the Browns, but they can run the ball.
Uh, Odell Beckham versus our DBS like they should get Odell Jarvis.
Those guys active.
I'm taking the Cowboys to the spread for Dallas was It's four.
That's a tough spread like the Cowboys defense will find a way to mess this up.
But, like Tyron, Smith is back on the line, removing Zack Martin back to his original position.
He shouldn't have to play right tackle this week.
Cowboys do not mess this up.
But I know the Browns are gonna go in there trying to compete, and they will.
Lawrence, I honestly think that the Cowboys should win this game.
But I said last week that if the Cowboys don't win, I'm not picking them anymore.
And like three times this season, I'm done.
I'm gonna pick the Browns because I right now I think the Browns are arm or consistent right now.
And then what? The Cowboys are, uh, Joe.
I think this is a shootout in the making man.
To be honest with you.
I mean, to high powered offenses and both teams that like to pull themselves out of holes that they themselves put themselves into, Uh, this.
I definitely think this is gonna be a shootout.
And I do have the Cowboys coming out on top, but it's one that I could see going either way, to be honest, whoever has the ball less.
So you got the cowboys on top toe? Yep.
Well, I never thought I'd say this, boys, but we have the one and two New Orleans Saints going up against the one and two Detroit Lions.
Um, one team could easily be three, and 01 team could easily be owing 31 I'm gonna be two.
And to one of them will be one and three today.
I'm gonna go with the Saints.
I just can't take the lions.
They've disappointed me like hell this season.
I'm going with New Orleans.
Uh, they might have a little bit of, uh I don't not sure.
They had a really late night last night with their false negative covert tests.
I don't know if that's all the players.
One of the guys. I don't know if that will affect them.
But I still got to go with the Saints.
Keith, what do you think in this game? I'm thinking this is a week.
It's already been a weird week in the NFL, and there's gonna be some upsets.
And if you gotta taken up one that take I liked what I saw out of Detroit last week.
The Saints, I think, are on the decline.
They haven't shown me anything that makes me think there on the uptick.
It's a three point spread.
I'm taking Detroit plus three.
Uh, Lawrence, still no Michael Thomas now know Jared Cook.
Pete, I've gotta pick the lions here.
You guys almost convinced me, man, but I'm still gonna roll with the Saints.
I'm not feeling good about it anymore, because yeah, the fact that no Michael Thomas no, no other weapons besides Alvin Kamara right now the Saints offices is pretty easy to stop.
If you can stop camera, that's pretty much all you gotta worry about.
But for some reason, I'm just going to stick with my guns.
Man, I'm gonna still roll with science, even though I don't feel great about it.
Matt. Patricia, That defense.
Okay, Next game we got here, we got the three and oh, Seattle Seahawks, who, in my opinion, have not had a convincing win yet this season, are taking on the one and two Miami Dolphins.
And this could be Seattle's first convincing win of the season.
Even though Miami look pretty good against Jacksonville last week, I'm still gonna lean towards Seattle and Russell Wilson going to fordo.
Keith, what are you thinking? Yeah, the Seahawks should have beat Dallas by two scores last week.
Um, I'm taking Seattle minus 25 I think.
Byron Jones, former Dallas cowboy now on the Dolphins, is hurt.
They should have their way.
Tyler Lockett, D K.
Metcalf and Chris Carson is gonna play, even though Dirty player from the Cowboys twisted his ankle last week.
He's going to start.
I'm taking the Seattle Seahawks to roll.
It's funny you say that they should have beat them by two scores because they should have, but they also should have beat the Patriots by two scores.
Well, they just seemed to be a team that can't close out a game, and really it is.
And really it was Dallas offense and the Patriots offense that stopped them from losing you.
What? I mean, maybe the play call for for the Patriots and well back Prescott becoming Dak Prescott at the end of that game and the offensive line collapsing on them, Right? So But there's an interesting team to watch because, as good as they are and Russell Wilson is my M v P.
That's defense is so suspect I don't see them.
Is that legit? Three.
And oh, you know what I mean? It's it's weird.
It should have resigned. Clowney.
I mean, Jamal Adams helps.
But Lawrence, what's your thoughts on this game? Byron Jones is a game time decision.
Their secondary, if Byron Jones is there, is really good.
I mean, they that that is something I can say about the Miami Dolphins, their their secondary pretty darn solid between Saving Howard and Byron Jones.
And then you got Eric Rowe sitting back there.
A strong safety.
But I just Man, I think this offense is just too good for Seattle.
I'm gonna think Seattle, Seattle.
It is all right, Joe.
Yeah, rolling with Seattle is long as Russell Wilson is playing on the level he is.
But yeah, this defense is hella Sussman, like you guys said, almost 500 yards per game, giving up the worst defense in the NFL in terms of total yardage and passing defense, um so fits Magic should have a pretty decent game, but I don't think it's gonna be enough.
Russell Wilson on top man Seahawks, All right.
And then we got a very interesting game to teams who I think their fan base expected a lot more out of.
They've had a tough schedule to start their seasons, but you've got the oh, and three Minnesota Vikings taking on the O and three who still coached by Bill O Brien, Houston.
Texans must win.
It's a must win for both teams.
I mean, this is a game.
This is the season right here.
Because if you go to a 14 I don't know how you bounce back with the way you've been playing.
I'm gonna lean towards did Shaun watching today and And that Texans defense and I have zero confidence in Captain Kirk.
I'm going with Houston.
Yeah, I gotta go.
Houston, to, uh, I like that they were taking a look at Earl Thomas because I wanted the Cowboys take a look at Earl Thomas.
But they did for us, and they passed.
So I don't know who's gonna bring on Earl Thomas now, but probably knowing I definitely with all the covert stuff and everything else, but yeah, I got I got Houston and I got Houston cover that 3.
I think they get rolling this week at home.
I still just don't get what the Vikings are or like.
Like, they're just not good.
So I'm taking the Texans to win big today, Lawrence.
The Vikings Biggest problem is they have nothing to stop.
They could run the ball.
They can throw the football.
But man cousins gets pressured way too easily.
And you're sitting over there looking at J. J. Watt.
No, no, I I don't think that the Vikings is gonna be able to keep up once the text and start throwing a couple touchdowns on the board.
Cousins is going to get pressured a lot once he starts dropping back.
Joe, you changed your pic, Lawrence.
We both have the Vikings.
Well changed it.
I'm sticking to my guns then, man.
Because the reason for my for my picking the Vikings is that I trust Zimmer more than I trust Bill O'Brien in.
Oh, and three situation.
You need a game toe win.
But I do trust the Shawn Watson a little more than Kirk Cousins, but I'm just going to stick with my picks and roll with Minnesota.
Man, this does seem like a game.
Minnesota would win Thio because they usually win those games that you don't think they're gonna win.
So it's it's really there.
All right? This game, I thought at the beginning of the season could be intriguing, but I no longer think it will be.
You got the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Carolina Panthers, who are just beat up the hell right now.
I gotta go with my man.
Murray bounced back after last week.
They go to three and one.
Keith, what are you thinking? Yeah, Kyler Murray Hop.
I think Christian Kirk is gonna play today.
They didn't have him last week.
Isabella, They should get rolling on the car.
Carolina defense? I don't know. Carolina.
They stole that game out of l.
A last week, but that I think that's more of a product of, you know, l.
A now rolling with their rookie quarterback.
I still have no faith in that rule.
I think they lose today. I'm taking the Cardinals.
All right, Lawrence, I don't know.
Is it just me or when I closed my eyes and I think of an individual NFL team, I usually have some sort of picture that comes up for specific teams.
And when I think of Carolina, all I could do is get that panther in my head.
I can't actually think of a player or steam or anything like that.
So he's not there.
Okay, Z, that's a big black hole.
Uh, if you wanna talk about that, I'll pick just about anyone, except maybe the Jets against Carolina.
Oh, yeah? Well, I do also have Arizona bouncing back, man.
It was last week.
They just kind of let Detroit hang around.
And then, of course, if you let a team like Detroit hang around, they're gonna end up with wind there.
So Kyler Murray needs to play better.
The Arizona Cardinals.
I'm high on them this year, man.
They need to show why I was so high on them.
Eso I think that they come in and have a bounce back game against Carolina.
Get this dub? Uh huh.
All right, this next game.
Tom Brady is at risk of losing one of his top receivers, but he's facing the Chargers.
Um, and regardless of losing one of your top receivers, it should still be a comfortable win for, Ah, a Bucks team that I've watched every game who have been clinically good, but not great.
If that makes sense, the way I'm saying that they've been clinically good, but not great, and they have I nobody seems to be able to challenge them, or they have been able to face a challenge.
And I I'm stuck because I think this Chargers defense is good enough to shake them up a little bit.
I just don't know what the offense is good enough, so I'm gonna lean with Tampa Bay, but and I'm not.
I'm really I don't feel great about that.
Yeah, it's tough to because Tampa Bay's favored by a touchdown seven points and it's like I could see them getting into a game where they need a field goal to win it or it's close.
I'm still gonna go with Tampa to cover that seven.
I think last week they had a large spread and they covered it.
Um is for net out, I think, for net is her for net out and, God, one could be out.
I think he's a game time decision. Those air, too.
Big weapons for those guys that they're like Brady needs to help him score points against this charges defense.
It's gonna be a good one.
That might be one I'm I'm gonna put down maybe think about getting that upset, but I'm taking.
I'm gonna take Tampa Bay.
I'm taking Tampa Bay. Lawrence.
Joe, Who did I pick here? Do you remember? I'm pretty sure you pick the bucks.
I think I think so, too.
But I was very, very yeah. Nervous.
Um, like you guys say this.
This defense, I think, has the personnel to really hold back Tampa Bay.
And like you said, Keith, man, this could be a field goal game.
I think this is a game that you picked the under on.
I don't even know what What, what what the over under is.
But I feel like this is a game that neither team could hit 20.
But which is strange when you think about that Bucks offense, right? Exactly.
Doesn't 20 but yeah, No, I agree with you. That charges defense.
It's over under his low.
Oh, they're expecting when z 20 then.
So three of us have taken the box, but not felt great about it.
I guess you could say, Joe, what are you gonna do? Oh, I'm taking the bucks and I feel great about it.
Let me just tell, you know, but there is some breaking news.
I don't know if you saw this rate, but your game is supposed to be played on Monday is what I'm saying. It's Monday.
Yeah, that's what they're saying.
So a Monday night football game? I guess so.
That's the plan.
So? So Koven outbreaks and you go from a 4:30 p.
Eastern Standard time Sunday game Thio Monday night. Primetime.
Oh, yeah, without our starting quarterback E.
But anyway, next game next game story I got lost.
Their, uh I mean, look, I don't want to say we don't have to discuss the game, but this is when we probably don't listen.
Baltimore, I think, choked themselves away from that chief's game last week.
That could have been a lot closer or for Baltimore if they could have played football.
Give credit to the Chiefs.
That took advantage of the bad play, Um, and played well themselves.
I like Washington.
You guys know I like Washington, therefore, my Ohio State Boys, but I just This will be a bounce back game for Baltimore, and I could see them winning by three scores.
Keith, even with that front of of of Washington.
Keith, what do you think in the Battle of the Beltway? Maryland, Baltimore versus D.
I think Baltimore rolls these guys I like.
I've bet Washington a couple times, and I'm not doing that anymore because Haskins in that offense like, No, you can't they're not gonna score enough points. Not with the Ravens.
So we're taking the Ravens to cover.
The spread on that game is 14 and I think the Ravens would beat him by like 21 say, I almost I think it could be three scores.
I'd almost go alternate like an alternate like 17 points, alternate spread.
And, like you said, balanced back game, These guys got embarrassed last week.
And after they had that **** punt return kick return, I'm like, Okay, the Ravens air in this one.
I don't know what happened there.
I think they send a message this week against their in state rivals.
Lawrence, what are you thinking? Oh, come on.
Everybody was also high on Washington because they had one good game, one good game and way all talked about how you know you don't get no, really, uh, look at a team, because that's basically their preseason games, right? We've won.
So that works both ways.
The team could look a lot better or team could look a lot worse, you know? So, uh, no, no, you cannot pick.
You cannot pick Washington in this game was just If you do, then you're just you're praying to God that you're making a ton of money on a bet.
I will say one thing to Joe, though about this game.
I hope because of that front of Washington, I hope that they hold off on a lot of the Shawn Watson runs because he could get, remarked Lamar sorry, Lamar.
Lamar Jackson runs because I don't want to see him get rocked by somebody who could rock.
And that's my only thing.
I'd rather see him roll them by throwing the football or handing the ball off or doing some smart runs because that front is pretty vicious for Washington.
He's gonna shake those guys.
Why are not gonna be They're not gonna be able to touch him and his his his young.
That's what I was gonna say.
Chase Young is not playing this game, so that's a huge boost to us as well as Matt Ryan.
Itis is on ir eso there.
You know that front seven is kind of missing some pieces here tonight. Now we are.
We might be without Ronnie Stanley are all pro left.
Tackle is well, so d.
J Fluker is gonna be taken over there starting left tackle duties.
But I still feel good about this game and I'll tell you what happened Race since you asked.
We passed the ball three times in a row after that kickoff return touchdown.
For some ****ing reason that I still don't have an answer for today when we could have just ran the ball because it was working.
But anyway, um, yeah, I'm expecting us to win by at least two touchdowns.
I would actually be disappointed if we don't cover the spread here.
Um, I think we're gonna be focused.
I think we're gonna be ****ed off.
And, Yeah, I'm expecting us to have a big one of our big blowout Baltimore Ravens games that we usually do.
So, speaking of a blowout, the New York Giants are hosting the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams, who, in my opinion, should be three and right now and got screwed on one of the worst defensive pass interference calls I've seen since since since they did it to New Orleans.
You know, since they did it to them, Um, you know, which is, I think, boosted up the credit of buffalo.
And when we get the buffalo, I'll tell you why.
I don't think there is great is that some people are saying, um and I heard something ridiculous yesterday that I know will **** off, Joe.
But I'll get to there.
I'm taking the Rams this game.
I think the Rams are a good team.
I think they got caught asleep in Buffalo early in that game showed what they're capable of.
The New York Giants are in a heap of trouble.
Um, you know, it's I mean, it's gonna be interesting, because I think they're gonna have to make a decision between Daniel Jones and Trevor Lawrence at the end of the year.
It's between the two New York teams of who's gonna, you know, get their hands on Trevor Lawrence first.
I'm taking the Rams.
Trevor Lawrence, you take no matter who you have, if you're picking one e don't know, But Sam, Donald, Trevor Lawrence, that's a tough pick to move off. Sam. Donald Now.
Hey, look at Kyler.
Look at what the Cardinals did.
They're like, Well, we drafted guy.
What? They draft Rosen like top 15? Yeah.
The problem with these New York teams, man, is that even if you do take Trevor Lawrence, you have so many other holes on the team that you're just not gonna be competitive for, like, three or four years, anyway.
You know? Well, I mean, if you're the giant, so you're trying to build If you're the jets trading away Jamal Adams.
So just the jets are just so key that you're going with the Rams.
You calling the upset Rams all day? My least favorite team in the NFL is the New York football Giants.
I am actually loving it that the New York football teams are the worst they've been, uh, because I get a lot of slack for being a Cowboys fan around these parts.
And I'm like, Listen, I don't want that misery that you guys go through every Sunday.
At least I'm 50 50 on Sunday.
Whether I'm gonna get a win or not.
You guys know that there's zero chance Thursday to eso.
Yeah, give me the Rams.
And, like you said, the Rams should be undefeated.
And I mean, we haven't gotten to the game yet, but I'm taking the Raiders over the Bills today.
I'm not with this.
This Bills team, I think there's a lot of hype.
I think I love it.
Wait, I just got this funny feeling that that Daniel Jones is going to know Aaron Donald's personal phone number by the time the game is over with eso.
Yeah, I got I got the Rams eso same giants suck straight up, Ramsar.
Looking good all right, so let's get into this Buffalo Las Vegas game, and I got something to tell you guys.
But I will say Keep them on the same page as you.
I got the Raiders winning this game.
I think they're being a little bit disrespected this game this week.
Let me tell you about the Buffalo Bills, and I know this will just throw Joe through the roof because it threw me through the roof.
So I was listening to Toronto radio today, and it's very Buffalo Bills.
Homer and I was listening to it earlier this week as yesterday I was driving home and they were talking about it.
And these guys have legitimately said that the Buffalo Bills are the second best team in the A F C behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not just from a record standpoint, by talent and how they play and how they play the game.
Courtney tell you what the Buffalo Bills have done.
They beat the New York Jets, which I think the four of us, if we got our bodies together, could beat the New York Jets.
They we're trailing the Miami Dolphins in the fourth quarter of of their game, and they blew a 28 to 3 lead against the L A Rams and should have lost on what was, Ah, horrible pass interference call to turn around and say that they're better than the Ravens.
Or they're better even than the Patriots with Cam Newton, who went toe to toe with Russell Wilson, who easily handled the Miami Dolphins and easily handled the Raiders, saying that they're the second best team talent wise in the A F C.
When you've got a team like Pittsburgh, and I know Joe doesn't want to hear this.
But a team like Pittsburgh, whose defense has been way more dominating them both close is an absolute joke.
And I think the Raiders had a bad week last week.
I think they could have challenged New England, even Mawr.
Then they could have.
I think coming off a short week and then having to play Cam Newton and the Patriots was difficult on them.
I got Gruden taking his boys over the Bills this week. Keith.
Yeah, I'm with that they're in their back in Vegas will be their second game in Vegas.
They're looking to go to a No at home in Vegas.
Buffalo is so much hype from Bill's Mafia.
I'm sorry if you guys air Buffalo fans watching this, but it's it's all Internet, like Josh Allen is the M v P.
Stop it, Stop it when you guys watch your own games like he's M V P because he's chucking the ball to come back.
When you guys air still battling the Dolphins or the or the Rams air coming back, you're trying to fend off the Rams.
Yes, Stefon Diggs has been a huge addition of that team, but, uh, like Josh Allen, make some bad decisions.
They're not as a solid of a team as people think.
I think a better coach team.
And, uh, Jon Gruden's Raiders today run the football on them at home.
Uh, they get Darren Waller going again, who last week got shut down by the Patriots.
Look for Darren Waller.
Have a big game today, and I'm taking the biggest Las Vegas Raiders. They're underdogs.
I don't see the Bills coming in. They're beating them by four.
I'm taking the Raiders to win and covered Florence.
I don't think the Raiders we're gonna win this game on.
The reason is is with Henry rugs, game time decision.
I don't know if they could pass the ball and stretch that bills defense because, yes, they got a terrible passing defense, but they're still ah, top five run defense in the NFL and they're actually good at stopping the run.
And I like Josh Jacobs.
But if you can limit him, then you got a chance because you're gonna put the entire game on the back of Derek Carr.
And I don't know if I would choose Derek Carr in this passing game over Josh Allen and the weapons that he has to throw, too.
So I'm I'm gonna pick the bills.
You know, I wish I could agree with Ray and Keith here, man, I really do, because you guys know I'm a big Buffalo Bills hater.
At least that's what they say.
They call me a Buffalo Bills hater.
But no, I'm not surprised that already that Buffalo Bills fans are already saying that because recency bias is a very real thing in the NFL.
Um, so anyway, but yeah, it all comes down to me is if Derrick cars you know confidence is shot or not.
If it's not, maybe he can come out, have a good game.
I like what the Raiders have been doing.
But if it is shot, you know, I think that the Bills win this game and I am rolling with the Bills men, even though I hate to say it, but yeah, I think they're They're gonna end up with the wind here in Vegas, Brian Edwards and Henry Rugs to receivers for Derek Carr or hurt, but they don't use them anyway.
So, like Darren Waller, they're gonna run the ball.
They're gonna get the ball of Darren Waller.
They're gonna throw.
We talked about Joe Burrow throwing 57 yard passes.
Look, look for Derek Carr to complete a bunch of 5 to 7 yard passes.
Yeah, because let's not forget this defense of the Bills is almost identical to a certain New Orleans Saints defense.
Who we said we're gonna roll all over the Raiders, right? And we saw how that blew up.
Look, this Buffel team is better.
I find it comical how last year they kept talking about the Patriots pancakes schedule and then they're talking about their schedule like, Well, they played that really tough Miami Dolphins team.
You know, when they beat the.
And again, I think there's a very much like Seattle.
Why I call them the most unconvincing three and oh, team is there's a difference between winning a game and surviving the game, right? And Buffalo survived last week.
Um, if you're you know, and if you don't get that d p I you don't know.
I think that group is gonna be ****ed after losing to the Patriots the way he did on and I think they're gonna be hitting hard and they're gonna be getting after Josh Allen.
And you know, he's good for two fumbles today at some point.
Right? Alright, um, now you've got the Indianapolis Colts for the Chicago Bears.
The three and oh, Bears, ESPN users 58% are taking Chicago.
It's the disrespect to your colts.
I see why I can actually see why there may be thinking that way.
But I'm so close to the jugs.
I'm still I'm still rolling.
I'm Yeah, I'm still rolling with Indy this game, even with their injuries.
Even if everything else they still got great tight ends, they could still run the football, and Philip Rivers could be a good quarterback when he feels like it.
So I'm going with.
I'm going with the Colts, Keith.
This game, I guess.
Being in Chicago, I guess.
Being Nick Foles first full week, getting the number one reps I was on coleslaw with With Lawrence this week talking about this game, I don't get why people think Nick Foles is.
I guess you know the Super Bowl, but, like, he's not that much of, ah, upgrade over, uh, Midst.
If he was, they would have started him from Week one.
He's actually been terrible as a starter in the NFL.
There's a reason he's a backup.
All we're going off of is Oh, he came back against the Falcons defense.
He brought him back.
The Falcons defense is terrible.
E even Don't get me started about the Cowboys against the Falcons defense.
I'm taking the Colts.
I think it will be close.
Uh, the spread is three.
I'm taking the Colts to cover that three and control this game and control the ball time of possession.
I think the Colts they're gonna go into Chicago outdoors it shouldn't be too cold, but I think they're gonna go into Chicago and surprise some people.
I don't know why people are so sold on Nick Foles.
Like in this offense all of a sudden, give me the colds, Lawrence.
I mean, come on.
Uh, Mitt Stravinsky got benched because of three picks.
Nick Foles threw one pick and then five other turnover worthy plays according to Pff.
And and two of them were obvious on tape.
Went right through the defenders, Hands on deep passes.
Fools is going to throw it deep.
Even if the guy's not open.
Right? So I the courts defense is good.
The Chicago's beat three week teams by four points each, each game, four points.
And they're like, Well, the Colts have gotta had a pancake schedule.
The teams, they be they beat by, like, three or more scores, right? I mean that there's a reason that yeah, they beat the Jets, but they beat them by, like, 30 freaking points, you know? Yeah, they beat the Vikings, but they beat them by, like, 20 freaking points.
Come on, now, Uh, at least they're beating the teams.
They're supposed to be beating convincingly.
I don't count the week one game.
I've said that all year for every team.
I don't count Week one because it was the preseason game for every team in the NFL.
So, yeah, I got Colt over over Chicago and I think it was gonna be ah, little more interesting than what Chicago fans think it's going to be.
You know, I love how Lawrence keeps fighting this week.
One thing and his teams two and one.
Guess what we say Lost Joe.
What you calling? What are you saying for this game? So the three and oh Bears have beaten a team with a win, whereas the three and the Steelers have not beaten a team with a win? I just wanted to say, Anyway, with the Steelers, anyway, you know, I have the Colts winning this game.
I was super high on the Colts before the season started.
As you guys know, their defense is gonna absolutely terrify the Bears offense and anything that they got going on.
I have the Colts winning, and it might be big. It might be bigger.
Yeah, all right, though.
The now Monday night game, the New England Patriots, led by Brian Hoyer, the destroyer taking on Patrick Mahomes.
Um, I do have a message, though, for all New England Patriot fans out there for everybody who's crying on Twitter right now that Brian Hoyer is getting the start over Jared Stidham.
Jared Stidham is the third string quarterback.
He wasn't good enough to back up Cam Newton.
The New England Patriots are carrying three quarterbacks this year, which a lot of teams don't do because they don't want to give up on Jared Stidham, but said this year he's not even good enough to sit on the bench.
So why the hell do you think he'd get his first NFL start against the Kansas City Chiefs? Coming off a week when he wasn't even getting second string reps all week, he was getting third string reps.
Um, listen, 98% of people on ESPN are choosing the Kansas City Chiefs.
I want to know who the hell that 2% is.
I think it's a 2% who forgot to go back and change their picks.
Um, I want to say right now I would have went Homer and pick the Patriots if Cam Newton was starting because I think it would have been a much better battle than people think.
The only chance New England Patriots have of winning this game is that the running game run for 250 yards and and you know Patrick Mahomes only gets five possessions the entire game.
Can it happen? Yes.
Will it happen? Probably not.
I got to go with the Kansas City Chiefs, Keith.
Yeah, it's the chief's.
Its's unfortunate, because I was really looking forward to seeing the New England Patriots led by Cham new and go in their full strength.
What Bill Belichick was going to cook up verse Andy Reid.
But yeah, maybe we'll get that in the playoffs.
Uh, Covert 19 takes Cam out of it.
Kansas City's going back home. They're gonna roll.
The reason why all those Patriots fans are upset is because, uh, in the offseason, Bill Belichick was throwing a load of crap to everybody in the NFL when they signed Cam Newton said, Jared Stidham is still fighting for a starting position.
That's exactly why, because they got him built up in their heads, thinking, Oh, he was a starter.
Come on, he's starter quality hay was starting for.
So is Brian Hoyer.
Brian won the job.
Brian Hoyer should be like 1/4 string quarterback.
For the Iowa State troopers, I don't know association.
Um, Cam Newton, I think would would definitely give New England, um, or of a wrinkle here and less chance of turning the ball over five times to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Then Brian Hoyer, Uh, I gotta I gotta take Kansas City and probably by 20.
Joe, you want to give your next three picks, since you probably can't stay the whole time? Sure thing s Oh, yeah, For this game, I wish Cam Newton was playing like everybody said, man, because that would be a battle.
Although I am interested to see how Bill Belichick schemes up his defense to deal with Kansas City's offense because, um, I mean, plain and simple Bill Belichick is going is going to be smarter than what we saw with the Ravens and the Chiefs and our coaching staff.
So I think that this could be a game, but with Brian Hoyer starting man all mad, if it was Cam Newton I would give you more of a chance.
But yeah, I have the Chiefs winning this game, Andi, just to go with the other picks here.
I still have the Niners over the Eagles, even though probably Nick Mullins is going to play.
And maybe that's better for the Niners.
Clearly, he's but they got all they got even more talent coming back.
So, yeah, they got Debo coming back, So yeah, I mean, I'm Kettle is Well, I'm liking the Niners here for sure, and I like Green Bay over Atlanta.
I mean, do I really need to give a reason for that? Let's be honest.
All right, Joe, Thanks for coming in again.
Sorry for us not being able to finish on time again.
No, it's all good.
It's It's my fault, man.
I wish I didn't have to leave, But thank you, guys.
I'll see you next time. I will see you later.
Alright, boys, let's get in the last two games.
So now we got the Sunday Night football game the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the San Francisco 40 Niners.
The Eagles, who brought us the first tie last week, uh couldn't give Joe Burrow his first win.
They had to pull off the tie.
Um, they're taking on San Francisco who are beat up, but getting healthier.
I was impressed with San Francisco last week.
I'm gonna be honest with you.
I thought they were going to struggle harder than they did.
So I have to go with San Francisco again this week.
What do you think? Yeah, I hate the Giants.
And I watched what they did against the Giants.
A bunch of backups when beat the Giants starters.
San Francisco's a well coached team.
They are beat up, but they have more talent, like even their backups there solid.
I don't know. They're a mess.
And I think Carson one shows us again today.
He's not worth all the hype.
Give me San Fran.
I hope Kittel gets going.
I got him in fantasy.
Um, Debo the jet.
Jerick McKinnon. McKinnon is another god. Quietly.
That's been impressing to, um, got to go, San Fran.
All right, Lawrence, what are you thinking? Well, the eagles have actually a really good run defense.
I could give them that, but outside of that, I just with Debo back and you still got Are you go out there? Kittel back.
Yeah, I just Yeah, I just I think that the Niners, like you say, they're just too deep and the the Eagles are just a mess offensively.
So, yeah, I'll take the Niners.
There's only one thing that makes me doubt my pick over the 40 Niners and that's is if you Google Philadelphia Eagles and click News Will Jalen hurts.
Start for the Eagles.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts could have increased role. Week four.
Eagles quarterback Carson went on the stress.
He and Jalen hurts, you know, Put on that.
Should the the Eagles bench Carson Wentz? Now? I'm not a Carson Wentz believer.
I I never have been, but this could be a game, and we've seen guys do this Where Carson Wentz knows he's possibly either fighting for his job or at least fighting for some public space.
Or he might be in a situation where he just wants to come out and give a big F you to everybody who's saying Start, Jalen hurts.
So that's my Onley concern going into this game is this could be a game.
We see Carson Wentz do what we've seen in the past too much, you know what I mean? Where he's trying to do everything and maybe comes away with the victory.
That's the Onley thing.
Any thoughts on that? I feel like like they drafted.
Jalen hurts where they draft him.
We all knew this was coming, and, uh, the Philly fans, I feel like the Philly fans were turning on Wednesday want to see it, and they're if they if they lose today or their struggled today, they have to go to him.
He did get a couple carries last week.
You start to see more of a role for him there.
I love it because it's just it's not helping them.
Jalen hurts is not the answer, but hey, go to him and I'll be sitting here in my Cowboys jersey, watching like cry. Eagles cry.
Jalen Hurts is not freaking ready to start in the NFL.
There's no way you gotta go with Winds E.
But do you think this could motivate went to maybe pull off the unexpected today? He don't expect them toe replace him with Jalen hurts, either.
I don't think I think that some of those stories is a load of, uh, you know, try to click Bait is what I think.
Um, no, I the fans want change.
I get that. I understand it.
What motivates an NFL player is toe win on their own.
I don't think they use a lot of outside sources.
I think it's self motivation most of the time.
I can't I can't promise that on Carson once.
I don't know the guy personally.
We haven't sat down and had dinner lately, but I think that they will be.
He's motivated enough to go out there and do his best on a on a week to week basis.
I just I don't see him doing well against the Niners defense this week.
You know that Tom Brady was purely motivated by out sort outside factors, right? Pure He was Yeah.
When they lost to Kansas City and everybody was saying he was done, he was taping up articles.
I just read the dynasty.
He was taping up articles of all the reporters, saying the dynasty was over and the Patriots were done.
He was fully motivated by what other people said about him.
There's a lot of guys who have external stuff.
Uh, you know what, though? Doug Peterson is also on the on the hot seat right now.
You know what I mean? Uh, yeah.
I always mix up him in the Jacksonville coaches.
Peterson, the coach of the Eagles.
Doug Marrone. Doug Peterson.
Which one is Eagles? Peterson. Peterson.
Peterson's on the hot seat is well right now, right? Yeah.
They won the Super Bowl in 2017.
They didn't look great last year.
They were a playoff team.
Last year, they just got in you.
What? I mean, um, it once got hurt in that game and people like he's fragile his glass and they go into the draft and they took a quarterback in your draft.
Jalen hurts and you gotta coaches on the hot seat.
No, Lawrence, I think when his job is on a lot more jeopardy than you think it is because you gotta coaches on it.
Coaches make decisions when they know their job is on the line.
And in football, 2017 was a long time ago.
You know what I mean? That's a long time ago in football speak because it's not.
What did you do for me yesterday? It's what you gonna do for me tomorrow.
And right now, Peterson and went their showing, They're gonna do nothing.
Um, and one of them is gonna be trying to save their jobs.
So either Wentz needs to step up today or Peterson to save his job.
Might have to make a decision he doesn't wanna make.
But he's in doing that.
He might end up losing his job completely.
If Jalen hurt, he puts Jalen hurts in their over Carson Wentz, and he stinks it up five times Worse than what? Winces.
What if he doesn't know? That's what? Because if he doesn't beget exactly, because if he doesn't, then everybody turns around, goes Why didn't you get Jalen hurts? A chance Went was awful, You know, by the time you put him in week seven, because what if he puts him in Week nine? Or he could easily say because because he looks 10 times worse than let's say, Wen's gets hurt.
Let's say Wentz gets hurt.
Week seven in their own seven and Jalen Hurts runs off five wins in a row.
They have a tie and sorry.
So there, there.
And Jalen hurts 34 wins in a row.
Everybody sitting there now going because of your decision to keep Carson Wentz and this team could have been competitive and no one cares about who did we play and what was the cir***stances and this and that.
At the end of the day, record dictates everything right, and Philly is a city.
Philly is a city that chased Andy Reid at a town.
You know what I mean? That chased Andy Reid that chase Donovan McNabb.
You know, guys who got them to a Super Bowl? Eso Yeah, no, Carson Wentz never got Philly to a Super Bowl.
Carson Wentz has accomplished nothing for Philadelphia.
Don't forget that.
They all know that they're Super Bowl M V P plays for Chicago right now, not in Philadelphia.
So there's not a lot of loyalty around there.
Besides, you know, from a fan based perspective and Phillies, a city where the fan base dictates a lot, it really does, and they've made decisions based on fan on rest in the past.
Now they're not in the stadium to throw batteries this year, but you know what I mean? It's there's there's things.
It's a weird, weird city, All right, Then you got the other Monday Night football game, the rial Monday Night football game, the Green Bay Packers taking on the Atlanta Falcons on ESPN.
95% are taking the Green Bay Falcons as a tie breaker.
You also have to try to pick the score, and I have picked 34 to 15 for the Green Bay Packers over Atlanta.
Keith, I'll go to you.
What do you think in this game? Yeah, I think Davante Adams is out.
We know Alan Lazar just had core muscle surgery.
I don't know who he's gonna throw two.
I picked up Marquez Valdez Scant ling and fantasy.
Just gonna throw him out there because that's just one guy that you know is gonna be there for him.
But Aaron Rodgers doesn't care.
I think he's closer. I'm not closer.
He's He's more comfortable in this offense.
We've heard him speak on it.
People are talking about Jordan love.
I don't think he's affected by Jordan Love at all.
I think it's just, you know, another year in this offense.
Look for them to run the ball.
Look for Erin Jones to get off Packers big.
It's a Monday night game at Lambeau.
They're gonna give you the pageantry, Um, Packers, I think our favorite.
I think they went by two scores.
At least Aaron Rodgers is a guy who could take over the game.
Doesn't need to Vonta Adams.
Montanans wasn't there last week, right? They put up 271 passing yards, right? Like it's It's Aaron Rodgers is on.
You want to talk about another guy who's on a mission from, you know, of outside sources right now and probably internal to Aaron.
Rodgers has a lot to prove this year, and so far he's proved a lot.
I think Aaron Rodgers, that's all internal.
That's that's all.
Okay, They went out and got did this to me.
I could do this because this is inside the building.
So Aaron Rodgers is gonna put 50 points up on Atlanta.
He could put he's gonna he's gonna do it.
He I think he could have done it with the Boy Scouts.
So when I said catching the football when I said 34 to 15.
Lawrence shook his head, and I thought he thought I was crazy, that I was thinking of 34 e went higher than he went to 50.
I think I think he's I think he drops a 50 burger.
I mean, this Atlanta Falcons secondary is God awful and has been since the beginning of the year.
Let me ask you a question.
So there's been a lot of talk about Kansas City.
Obviously, a lot of talk about Baltimore.
Talk about the Buffalo Bills.
You know who people aren't really talking a lot about the three.
You know, Green Bay Packers.
I mean, Tampa Bay gets talked about more than them are they kind of like a sneakily underrated three, you know, team right now, Or they an overrated three.
No team, and nobody's taking them serious.
If you take Aaron Rodgers off the team, then there.
You know where a lot of people probably will put him.
But you put Aaron Rodgers on any team.
He's kind of like Russell Wilson.
You know, you put either of those quarterbacks on teams and they go from being a Nate and 18 to look out.
They could be just about anybody in the NFL at any given time in the NFC.
In my opinion, it's Seattle and then it's Green Bay.
They have the quarterbacks.
They have enough talent around those quarterbacks to figure it out.
I feel I feel like people aren't talking about Green Bay enough.
They're gonna be right back in it again.
Uh, in their division.
Who do they have to worry about? No.
Detroit, Detroit, I mean, Korean.
Oh, Chicago Bears.
They're gonna cross the Bears.
I think, uh, think Aaron Rodgers definitely is on a mission this year to prove something, and it don't matter who he's throwing it to.
Erin Jones and Jamal Williams running the ball.
And they got that that back out of BC out of Boston College.
I can't think of his name that we haven't seen yet.
The Packers are set up.
I think their schedule isn't that crazy.
Look for Green Bay to keep rolling.
And as the season goes along, more people would be like, Oh, yeah, they got one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
They could They could do it this year.
Uh, they have in my opinion, the best quarterback of all time, not the greatest, but the best quarterback of all time from appear talent standpoint.
But yeah, I know.
I just find that Green Bay has been just kind of ignored this year.
And I'm like and I was writing an article about this the other day for tech my whole and went like, Why is Green Bay not being talked about like people are not people not taking them seriously? This could be the best.
He I mean, they've won more convincingly.
Every game in Seattle has what I mean.
Russell Wilson looks like a superstar right now.
Metcalf looks really good.
I would say the rest of Seattle looks good.
They don't look like mediocre, but they like they look good.
But to me, it's a lot of on the are on the arm of Real Wilson and D K.
Metcalf, causing the havoc.
It's really on two guys right now who are really elevating.
If something happens toe one of them, you could see a bit of a slowdown, whereas Green Bay, it's all on Aaron Rodgers.
But that defense has been holding up pretty strong, too, and I just think there's been a lot of I don't know if they just ignored Green Bay a little bit too much.
You know, they're definitely in my, in my opinion, the second best team.
But I would not be shocked if by the end of the year they like they had the best record in the NFC, you know, like I really wouldn't be All right, fellas.
Thank you so much for coming in again early on this Sunday morning, I will be back at 7 p.

Tried to troll Keith the best I could.
He's good at ignoring me.

You just really using Lawrence on one now were using coleslaw, too.
I got Lawrence O on NFL.
And then coleslaw is my other, All right.
You could just follow me here because they have integrated my two channels.
So it's just me Just ray route or deep piano score.
