Doing this for the first time and trying to learn some lessons from from the playoffs as a Knicks fan.
Um, it's so much to talk about.
So much to talk about.
So, first of all, like offensive, you could tell that ball movement is a premium.
Of course, Um, when you think about the New York Knicks and the lack of ball movement that we have, um, it really is incredible, because okay, Tom Thibodeau historically has had some pretty good offensive systems.
And I really think that some type of hybrid between what Vogel is running and what, um, Erik Spoelstra is running could be achieved with Tom Thibodeau.
He does a lot of giving goals, so we're giving goals.
You're gonna see some of that bam action.
Hopefully, you could get Mitchell Robinson to do some of that given go action.
And he may not be the tape player toe actually be able to toss a good pass.
But Mitchell Robinson should be able Thio do give and goes without a problem.
He should be ableto thio actually survey the court and hit some mentoring shots that you're seeing Mitchell Bama at a bio.
Give, you know, give his offense with Miami.
Uh, when you think about Jimmy Butler can.
The question is, can Argie Barrett give you some of what Jimmy Butler gives you? That's a really big question going forward as a Knicks fan.
I mean, I have a lot of faith in what RG Barrett could give you, but what I'm looking at this team Arjun parent could do a little bit more than Jimmy like Jimmy is. Ah, shotmaker.
He's, um, he runs off ball.
I think RJ could be right on par with Jimmy Butler with the off ball movement with the survey in the court, the defense.
I think that RG Berry could do that.
But it was just all about capitalizing on on what? Who on what Tom Thibodeau is gonna ask him because, like this version of Jimmy Butler is a lot more advanced than what was asked of him in Chicago.
So you have ah, lot of questions that I gotta be asked from an offensive standpoint.
From a defensive standpoint, I think that it could be emulated.
I think that Jimmy Butler is way more defensively active in Chicago, then what we're seeing right now with Miami.
Now he picks his spots.
Now he does some things.
Um, he tries, but it's not the same as what he used to do in Chicago. Chicago.
Jimmy Butler was in your face.
Um, score right now, guys, is 47 Miami 57.
Ellie, Ellie just gave the ball up by what I just saw.
Um, So if you guys have any questions that you guys want to chime in, so to me, let me see.
Tell me what you all think about offense and what we could learn or what questions you all have about the way the Knicks could run offense based on what we're seeing here.
Um, I do have a million dollar question for everyone, and this is a question I've been asking for the past two weeks for these last four teams that were in the the conference finals.
Can any of our players actually play for any of these two teams? Are these for those four teams? Denver, I think.
No, I from the top six players.
None of our players could hit that.
All right, all right, Now, on that level.
But then when you think about L. A.
Maybe Mitch could actually give you some minutes there.
I don't know if he could be better than than Dwight Howard, but because Mitch doesn't rebound and he doesn't have the strength that Dwight Howard has.
I could see Mitch getting pushed out and also fouled out by guys like Yokich.
You gotta be disciplined to guard Yokich, and that's something that Mitch has to learn.
Let's see who else was in our starting five.
Alfred Peten, for **** sure can't make it.
Our agent Barrett.
He's just not ready yet to be on any of the four teams that were there.
Not Boston, not Miami and the I.
Q is not there with Randall.
Taj Gibson could be a six man somewhere.
1/10 man, maybe, but I don't think you could make it on any of those rosters like we have toe to get someone that could be somewhere in this mix of or worthy.
So if you talk about off season trades and the potential for that for the New York next Bradley bill, guys like that of that someone that could actually start or even play minutes for any of these, these teams that are in the finals is a good place to start to build.
Now, that's something to think about.
Way to start, the defense man like the New York Knicks.
I don't feel like we had a good enough system last last season.
Um, when you look at some of the tape that was done, there was an in cohesive or inconsistent way of running defense that than New York's Nick had Knicks had, and I know for young players they needed more consistency.
So you talk about, um, you find a lot of drop coverage that we played, Um, when you play drop coverage, you don't have a mobile Big man.
Mitchell Robinson is a mobile big man, and you would actually rather him not played drop coverage.
You would want him to play a a switch hable coverage because from the time the screen comes, you want the guy that's guarding uh oh, behind the screener to roll off and pick up the guy as he's cutting the ball handler.
So drop coverage puts Mitch at a disadvantage because a lot of these guys now they'll just pull up for three that pull up three vs Mitchell.
Robinson is tough because he could jump.
He could guard guys out on the perimeter, and he's quick enough.
He could clip off a lot of the the defensive drives and then also, he could sometimes played very well in the drop coverage.
If we play a drop coverage, Mitchell Roberts would actually get more rebounds.
Guys like Randall has to be, um, he has to be dropped coverage.
E don't know how Tom Thibodeau is gonna figure out how to use Randall defensively by looking at these two teams and the back and forth that they have or that they're going through.
These teams are adjusted quickly.
Julius Randle has never been a quick adjustment guy.
If he was truly dedicated to some degree, um, he would have made so many more adjustments to his game, and he would have done it quicker.
Coaching could negate some of that crap air exposure.
Like the reason why Randall can't, he could.
Essentially, Randall could replace in as cancer just fine and in as cancer did get starters minutes.
But in as cancer is not that he is not a guy that you want to play major minutes.
You could get away with it for a game.
You could get away with it for a half.
But cancer is a regular season player, just like so many guys that were really good this past regular season.
But when it comes to the playoffs, they can't play much money on their weaknesses.
So you find like Kemba Walker was week this past off season.
I mean this postseason, because you could hunt him out like we know his weaknesses.
And guys, they're just gonna put him a walker on on the block.
They're gonna eat them up on the perimeter because they could beat them there faster than them.
So, you know, like there's a lot to be learned by watching this playoffs and Miami is down.
A is up 59 toe 48.
LeBron Jez got blocked, Uh, two minutes to go in the first half.
Jimmy's got more on top of the top of the key hero with a screen from Crowder.
I was a movement screen that's ugly.
That was well defended by Ellie.
So the 11 thing that can help the New York Knicks that I actually because could steal by Jimmy Butler.
Pass the ball late.
It was a little scramble underneath the basket.
Ella came up with the steal.
Nope. They're diving at the ball.
L A jumble jumble.
Okay, I question, would Tom Federal employees the zone zone defense? Some of our guys are older, and you have guys like Taj Gibson.
You have the lack of defensive awareness from Julius Randle.
I really feel like those guys would struggle.
Um, heavy switching off switch, heavy switching defense.
And that's a big question mark.
I still gotta tackle more tape on that.
But Julius Randle, I don't know where his positives are on defense because he can defend, especially if locked in.
But he just There's something missing that he does not have that he needs toe add to his game.
Before, before I say that Tom Thibodeau could could deploy improperly, Anthony Davis would have done 61 41.
I mean, 48 Duncan Robinson.
A good hour for the three.
He missed 58 seconds to go.
LeBron LeBron walking the ball up the cord 16 seconds on the shot clock.
That's too easy.
LeBron is just man handling these guys.
Yeah, LeBron is just just killing these guys.
He's getting up eating them apart.
Um, and the reason why is because they just don't have anyone at the point of attack to take to take anything away.
So the real question is what they can.
They deployed the zone defense against L.
A and be successful at it.
And exposure sometimes holds out on running zone defense.
Still the last quarter to surprise the team.
A 48 Miami And then the Knicks have another question that you have to add.
How much do they want to get back to the playoffs? Like the off season moves each and every single move is based around the playoffs.
Their draft picks there, they're they're free agent moves and also the way to develop the guys.
I think they will go for the best the best way possible.
****, Jimmy Butler just just lost the ball.
Four or 54 or five.
Elijah scored again.
Jimmy Butler looks like he sprained his ankle.
Jimmy Butler's hurt, 65 48.
So do the next one.
Thio Spring Ankle? Yeah, that's a sprained ankle untouched him, that's where.
No, it was nasty.
So the next thing is health.
Um, his so many question marks for the next.
How do you develop this team? Because, like Mitchell Robinson, it would be nice for him to add a three.
But if he doesn't add a three, then can the Knicks win games without Mitchell Robinson adding a three point shot? He definitely can't play next toe.
Julius Randle without a three point shots.
So next next season is either Randall develops a better three point shot and goes up a couple of points.
Or Mitchell Robinson has a three point shot and goes, well, just as a **** percentage.
He has never taken a three for the team.
Took one mid range jumper last year, and it looks good.
I think the kid really complain, but hey, god****, make a freaking shot or take a shot.
How about that? So, for New York, I would like to see Mitchell Robinson take some shots he needs to expand his game, but the question mark is toe what degree? Because if he adds this game, it immediately makes um makes Randall better.
Because right now I don't see any frickin team that wants to treat for Julius Randle.
I don't know anyone like we don't want him.
I don't know who wants him.
If any of you have a **** idea got 13 people right now on the inside of, um view on me right now.
It would be good to know if anyone has an actual idea of who truly wants Julius Randle.
And I'm talking about someone that would want to get him, keep him and invest in him.
It's halftime now, guys.
I want to sign out.
I'll come back in as soon as half times done and then I'll take another break.
Come back at at the fourth quarter.
Thank you guys for joining me.
