Just waiting on Gary.
Too hot in here and we can get, um get rolling.
See, Rdp isn't a disaster.
So far this year.
Nothing's really going as planned.
And if you guys are following Gary, there's getting defensive Channel or on Twitter.
You know that he is.
There's the man, The myth, the legend.
So e you get in with you.
I can't hear you.
Can you hear me? Let me see here.
Let's make sure, All right? No cut off of us.
One thing or the other.
Gary is live from the dungeon, E man.
Story of my life.
That's what I said.
It looks like the audio and everything's good to go.
All right, say something for me.
Yo, yo, there we go now.
Well, we don't know that for sure, but you know, we're gonna roll with what we got going, right? Yes, sir.
Hello, fantasy football fans.
My name is Gary a k a.
The I. D p. Tipster on Twitter.
I'm senior ****yst for defensive players on gridiron ratings dot com.
I have just joined over you guys might have actually knew who this fella is.
For the fact that I think you've been broadcasting on the GR Channel with Kyle Jeff is, uh, Jeff.
Everyone who's followed our channel knows Jeff.
He's the guy who started gridiron ratings.
But Jeff not get on twice on Sundays.
And then we'll be back on tonight for a general fantasy recap before the Monday night game.
And then you do your thing as well, and we're merging everything now under this one channel.
So, like getting defensive for the slate.
All these D EFS shows started.
Just have it all through this one stream here, but just hopping in today to talk about some defensive fantasy football with you.
And usually, you know, you guys that have caught the programs last hit, Miss Times, that I've been able to try to do this because you guys know that I got a lot of my play.
Uh, anyways, Johnny, the Greek won't be joining us this week, but hopefully he'll return possibly next week.
Hey, had unfortunate things come up that he he just couldn't be here, but and I like to kick it with John, But I know, Ronnie knows his stuff, and I'm hoping to have running on here just as much if he's available on Mondays too, Which might seem like a weird time.
But, you know, it is what it is.
We only have so much time to get things done in life.
Yeah, I'm trying to share this thing, and I am just just, you know, and any of you all that just follow me or anything.
You know that I am like, technology is a challenge to me.
A moment so sad to say, right.
And again, the normal disclaimer.
There might be a little bit of foul language, adult humor, and I smoke, so I apologize.
But the words, Yeah, I always put that disclaimer out there for him.
You're not gonna offended me? Yeah, but I think that if you're if you are, if you're well put together enough to know how to play fantasy football, I d.
P You also need to be somebody that's walked the beaten path a little bit.
A little wear and tear, maybe.
So maybe, um, Ronnie were talking earlier about what we will be talking about today.
and I think that a great topic.
And I think Ronnie agreed, was talking about the inconsistency of I.
Piot the moment um, Man John hit on a little bit last week, but you know, when we look at it, uh, instead of things leveling out in Week three, you know, because we usually have a rough period just start out with and with no pre season in the cove, it situation and we have this pile of injuries happening.
Things were even worse than normal for the first three or four weeks.
And, you know, I work on my work on my start set charts if you guys haven't checked those out there at gridiron ratings dot com for our members.
But it's a very lengthy process to go through reports and all the data that we have to run.
Those and I have been doing it actually, over a decade.
I made this up or I did these things for myself when I was before I started writing about four years ago, when I brought these out, started sharing them with the public, and I can tell you that just the amount of drama and I D P right now is the most that I've ever seen it in my life for this time of the year.
And I mean, it's always had some inconsistencies at the beginning of the year, why they figure out what they're doing, But it just seems to be so so deep right now.
Um, what do you think about e? Think the thing that's Ah, my my experience looking at the landscape so far, 90 p.
And generally, just to take a step back from Lyons, I build my I D P rosters the same way that I think everyone kind of advises you to.
Obviously, leaked scoring can become a factor in how you actually handle things, but typically, you want to go get your core linebackers.
And then, if you're in defensive line, required leagues or edge leagues, get those guys and then play with defensive backs.
And the funny thing that I've seeing so far this year is that defensive backs and cornerbacks are kind of having field days, and then you're linebackers and your ends are all over the place.
And then a few guys like Aaron, Donald and Grady Jarrett, a defensive tackle, are actually playing like the most valuable defense of alignment right now.
And so it's It is my philosophy and I.
P is to just punt defensive backs because I can always find somebody on the waiver wires, and I'm not sure whether I think that's like the best strategy you could have had this year or if I feel like that's actually the wrong strategy, because DBS are blowing up and they're usually really kind of inconsistent and unreliable.
All right, I'm glad you brought that point up because I actually went through this morning and looked through snap count information, and I consider a full time player.
It used to be about seven or eight years ago to be considered a full time player.
There were so many players left on the field all the time, and they didn't have all these multiple packages that 90% snap count would qualify You.
I mean, there was that big of a difference, and now because we've had to adjust, I actually consider 80% plus to be considered full time because the numbers trunks so much because of the packages and a major thing that is really contributed to that was the fact that there are so many mawr three safety sets used consistently this year.
I actually I can't remember it. Waas.
I think it was Minnesota week to started and played five defensive backs for 80 plus snaps are 80% of snaps arm or for the whole entire game.
That's that's That's a lot I mean that that staying that above the 80% to I mean, it's not weird to see five on the field, but from all of them to play that much, So it zone evolving landscape.
I think, uh, you know, they really a few years ago when it comes to I. D. P.
They handcuffed the defense by changing the rules about, you know, you can't touch a receiver, you know, stuff like that.
They did this for a reason in the rial NFL, so that they could get more scoring that way.
We don't see these 7 to 3 games, you know, they wanted to open up the offense, make it more exciting for the for the NFL fan, and that's that's great.
But what it did, was it handcuffed the defense.
So they we've got more players coming out of the NFL or out of college ranks that are these defensive back type storm or hybrid types, or they got to be better in coverage because of the past attacks.
You know it as an offensive guy.
You know what I'm talking about? I mean, the landscapes changed.
The landscapes changed, probably about the time that Belichick introduced two tight ends that could do whatever they want the field at the same time, It kind of seemed like it.
It was that point to me, but I was a running back in high school, so I'm a running back type to do myself.
So I didn't really care for it at first, but it is what it is.
And it is definitely made the game a lot more interesting and help PPR.
So what that being said? I mean, I looked at that stuff this morning, and when I looked at the amount of players that got 80% or more of the snaps in, uh, what you might call it in week three, Uh, what was the number? I'm thinking it waas slightly like 55% and we're defensive backs.
Well, there's cornerbacks or safeties or whatever.
So, uh, it's just it's really put a handcuff on I.
D P owners that did not get those lucky, lucky players like, You know, you got to Tampa Bay Bucks.
You got White, you got Von David.
You have Jacksonville.
You have some, uh, jack and school, but there, But there are so many teams this year that there linebacker corps is either beat up.
There are only using one when normally, when they would have to full time guys because they're bringing the defensive back then and then the injuries were just saturating everything even worse.
Yeah, it's, um, when you look at when you look at the top scoring depending on your league settings, and I play in a league with Jeffy patio gridiron ratings like founder and scoring settings, there factor in a little bit of everything, and it's a hybrid i d. P. Scoring setting.
But the idea is in that league that, like the best defensive tackles, the best safety is the best linebackers, the best defensive ends, all of them.
If it's an elite player at that position, they should be scoring the same as the other elite players at other positions.
And so you get this really interesting clump outside of the top 12 where it typically in years past, has been all over the place.
You have linebackers, defensive tackles.
That's what it should look like.
It should be healthy.
I'm looking at our top 27 or a top 30 and scoring right now, and it is almost all except for eight players.
It is safeties and cornerbacks.
And so just to allude to what you were saying, and it reminds me a little bit of what the charges were forced to do last year with all the linebacker in front of injuries that they had, they were playing six defense backs within games almost a regular basis.
But it seems like this year it's almost where at least it has been the year of the defensive back so far.
And part of it to me if I was gonna put like my money on why that is.
I think it's the last lack of camp and the fact that passing offenses with continuity in particular or having field days right now and so teams to counter act that are trying to load up the backfield because they don't really have any other choice.
What do you think about that? Oh, I think you're dead on.
I mean, it really is it.
It's like they've treated especially the first two weeks, but they've treated the first three weeks like pre season.
Yeah, and I think that they I don't know if the offensive offensive game planning is predicting or managing what the defense is air doing.
But you gotta have the defensive backs on the field.
You know, it's just you.
If you're no longer have very many linebackers, that can are your complete guys that stop the run shed blocks and can cover.
You know, it just It's the nature of the beast this year, but it's costing I d be players big time because we've all set up our rosters based on what we know from last year in a year before, and it just it's devastating.
Just it's like, well, just coincidence here.
So Pierre Louis last week he turned around and he got 100% of the stamps for Washington.
You come out, he close it up, right? So then we have these injuries and guys were like, Oh, I gotta get a guy off the waiver wire He lit it up, you know? So I go get him when you do this week.
He ended up dropping clear down to 70% and recorded like three tackles.
You know, and it's those types of situations, and it's just that's just one.
That's those types of situation.
And all of a sudden, okay, people are freaking out in Week one and week to my guys hurt or this guy's not producing and I need to fix this and you make a judgment call real quick.
And next thing you know, it's costing you because then he flops like Pierre Louis did this week.
So it's making it even worse this year.
I had it happened.
A. I chased points yesterday.
I was like, Okay, did my did.
My church did my formula.
I know what's going on.
All right, I need to plug in.
Kaiser White, Peter Lewis Guisewite.
You did all right, Pierre Louis.
Nothing, you know, And then I'm sitting.
I'm sitting with KJ right on my on my bench because he had been basically just pushed to a part time player and I know that he was coming in on the field with Bruce serving her, and and they lost that Blair the previous week.
I knew he was going to get rolled, but I think you can't trust it, so I didn't trust it.
So what happened? All those points he got sitting on my bench, you know it z a double sided sword this year.
It's definitely a cutting both ways.
I think that when we were talking before this episode, you brought up Um, one of the goals of us talking about this was to make people feel better, that it's not just them that's dealing with it and everyone and I also I mean, as a good example, if you look at just like generalized, I D. P.
Scoring linebackers will traditionally have been the core of your I d be roster on.
And if you did not draft Blake Martinez or is that Cunningham this year, a za one of those like top early guys, it's been all over the place.
I mean, you're looking at like Devin with these other guys were having respectable years so far.
Devon White, Eric Kendricks, drone Baker, but they've been really inconsistent.
There hasn't been that reliable, consistent kind of plug in play top seven or eight linebackers that were used.
What I would say, though, is I think that that will happen eventually.
The NFL instead, we're in the first four weeks of pre season.
Right now, things will return back to normal.
But it's been chaos.
Yeah, usually it would be.
I can tell you when I do my charts, I usually tell everybody I need when I 1st 1st week.
You're using information from the prior year.
So you get a weekend and you have something to add to that you have up to date data after trends information we to a little bit more about we three.
Last year altogether.
This year I forgot last year, week to I was like, This is it was so far off comparing what was going on.
I was like, Okay, this is not going to do me any good.
I've got to concentrate on what's happening right now, even though it's very limited information, you know, and then you cross check that with all kinds of reports, and you go you just put all this effort into it just to watch some of it go, You know, it just goes wrong.
It just goes wrong.
I'm sitting there telling people yesterday.
Okay, so Washington, since they since they've changed to this new defensive scheme uh, Josh Allen and I'm gonna hack his name Ryan itis Is there a way we wanted we to both of them because they both are basically the same guy there Boast does.
I don't know how they're not finding a way to put these guys on the field 100% of the snaps, but they put these two guys in their rotating them 50 50.
That's what they're snap counts for week, one week to were.
So it was limiting their opportunities when they normally last year was seeing a lot more snaps.
When they play playing 70% 75 that makes a big difference.
And get the wear down the offensive lineman.
They get Thio, you know, just just get their game plan, put their skill set into practice a lot better as the game goes on.
So what happens? I've warned everybody don't play.
These guys were getting you know this is it's happened for two weeks in a row.
It's eliminating them.
This isn't a good matchup on paper, Bob.
Bob, Bob, what happens? I and I just goes down.
Josh Allen gets to play all kinds of snaps and he scores like 20 you know? And it just adds to the I d p owners aggravation, because here you are listening to guys like us.
What do you dio? What do you do when we're coming? You're asking They meet your help? Well, this is what's happened.
So when you really figure it out, you give them try to give him good advice.
The fantasy football gods, they just they just laugh at, you know, so and ah lot of it.
Ah, lot of it this year, guys, we're gonna have to realize like you said, What what I had brought up before.
Um, I have I have seven teams and that's the most that I played in the last few years.
I quit chasing rosters a long time ago.
I used to be one of those fellows that would do 30 40 50 leagues, you know, back in the heyday.
But now I cut him down I have, like, 45 last year.
This year I got seven.
So, out of all those I have one roster that I drafted.
I believe I might have Devon White or Levant.
David on there and in Kirksey is my four starting linebackers.
And I have enjoyed good solid production until this week when Kirksey got hurt.
Right? But unless you got lucky and you've got in that small percentage of consistent players are decently consistent players at the beginning of the year, you're just running around with your head cut off, because so much is not usually lost Van dress. You lost.
You know, uh, tranquil went down.
We have Kowalski probably hacking it up.
Thio Little Littleton owners, air sick, you know, Littleton and owners.
And And I wrote some articles and I tried to warn about this.
If he's moved to the weak side, which was where he fit better, and for the Raiders, he's not gonna get those opportunities as he was the one middle linebacker on the Rams, which Kaiser? He's been enjoying that position this year.
Up until this weekend, I had a question right before we come on I tried to answer.
He played 100% of the snaps, but you can see that the defensive line dominated.
So they were, you know, that limited his opportunities, and then that probably forced them to throw down the field over his head.
So we see guys like John Johnson, you know, getting the opportunity their closest to the area of the ball.
So it's just chaos.
But people need to realize don't freak out.
If you didn't get those guys, just hang in there, it's gonna level out.
You're gonna have to play the wire.
You're gonna have to keep doing this and just hoping for the best.
But you're not alone.
It's not just you.
I would have to take a wild guess right now that probably I'm gonna say two thirds of the I.
Landscape out there is in chaos, and there's a lot of everybody just got a lot of it or you didn't because you got lucky.
Yeah, pretty much what that boils down to me for, but it's it's something that, um, it's actually interestingly, it's kind of mirrored in offensive fantasy right now.
I've got there have been so many injuries this year that have screwed things up.
And you've had these nice surprises, like James Robinson.
Um, but then, from an i. D.
P standpoint, you have, like Mike Hilton, for example, Mike Hilton for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He's playing the kind of Desmond King of old role so that he's playing nickel corner blitzing, yada, yada yada.
His snap shares like 46% but he is the number one defensive back in fantasy right now.
Eso It's just little things like that are a microcosm of how the season is gone.
He reminds me of the Logan Ryan of the last couple of years.
Yes, yes, I brought that up, actually, with Jeff on our show Sunday, Zach.
What? But I was just in there and he's in a prime position.
He's put in that position by scheme, and it's just going his way.
That could change.
Somebody actually hit me up just yesterday before the games, and he knew he was part of, uh, I had the i d.
P tipster dot com last year, and I've talked to this guy a lot, you know, he was a member, so I know I'm really well, and he knows that I do not like cornerbacks and I d.
P I'm almost reconsidering that I'm working, considering that, but at the same time, he reaches out because, man, I know said, But what do you think about help? And you know the only reply? Waas.
Dude, it's crazy right now.
If you can write that train, you know, that's my answer.
If you could ride that train, right that train until that goes off rail, if he's producing right now, grab it anymore.
There's no other real consistency.
I don't know what Fuller did, but I see Taylor rap turn around after being benched and not getting anything for for the Rams.
All of a sudden, he produced yesterday, Yeah, right after I dropped him, right, right.
And so that's the move everybody is making.
That's the kind of things everybody's doing because you only got so much face unless you've got one of those super deep, deep, deep leagues and then you're probably still not playing the guy because, well, he's not doing anything.
He's gonna be on my bench.
I did not look at those snap counts, but I'm kind of afraid Everybody knows I got crap in it and I'll lose you guys.
So But I'm really curious of how that one if if four was benched, which is the rookie, or if rap got all the snaps or if they just kept playing if they kept playing three.
If they had a heavy three safety snap type thing going now by the Roi Kaiser didn't get **** either.
I can, actually, I can tell you, um, I could tell you Weaken tweet about it.
I don't feel like looking up.
Uh, pull that up quick, but if I started skipping or something, I should be all right.
While you look that up.
I'll give it a fun case study on kind of what people are dealing with right now on fantasy and for people that are watching right now.
You know, Gary and I, we are amateur experts, right? We're not getting paid by ESPN to tell you this stuff, but I'm in leagues with people from ESPN and I beat them.
So it's one of those situations where, like, I don't think I'm the best fantasy player in the world.
Gary doesn't think he is either.
But I feel pretty confident in my abilities, and the all the resource is more so than myself that I have out there.
People like Gary and over the years of playing fantasy football for almost 20 years now, just this role, it x of people that I trust, that I didn't make my decisions based on their collective consensus, and it helps me lead into the right direction.
This week as an example, I'm in a super deep dynasty league. It's an I.
P League and I was looking at Do I start Jordan Hicks, which, like before the season started it would be like you had? Uh, um, do I start Jordan Hicks? Do I throw in Kevin Pierre Louis or Jon Bostic? Which one of those guys do I pick, Um, or do I go against everything I've ever thought about I. D.
And do I play Troy Hill and Mike Hilton? And I just looked at what's happened so far this year and was like **** it, I'm just gonna throw in the cornerbacks because they're scoring more points right now and ended up working out for me.
Uh, right, and it's eso to that guy that asked you that question? I think that really maybe, for the next few weeks, even until things start to settle down.
If there's if you're if you're looking at matchups.
I hate saying this, but my opinion right now is that if there are cornerbacks that air getting a high target share on waivers right now, like Troy Hill for the Rams Bond, you are kind of struggling on what to do with your your starting lineups.
Just go pick up a highly targeted cornerback playing a passing offense and plug them in.
And you can probably be okay for the next few weeks until things start to settle back down yet.
And I can't argue with that advice at this point.
You know, it's like when I talk about cornerbacks and I'm asked about cornerbacks.
Usually, you know, we have the If you're a shutdown corner, you don't get targeted as much as the guy that's across from him.
So that's your target.
Target because they're gonna go after him, or somebody like Hilton, which is put in packages and put in that position on the slot receiver.
Uh, he's just in a more of a productive area, the field 90% of the time.
And then the guy, it's out on the island, on the corner, Uh, looking at looking at the snap count.
So, yeah, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, wraps get got 40 Almost 45% of the snaps and the kid that they've been starting for 100% of the snaps.
Prior, he went cut it down to 72.
So the Tracy Walkers Situation Tracy Walker, which happened to be one of my breakout calls prior to him breaking out.
And he turned around.
It was killing it other than when he was hurt.
He was hurt for a while, but when he was in there, he was just killing it.
And then next thing you know, the Patriots event of sea lions, Patricia decides that he is gonna play the card where I'm just gonna stinking guys where I want him on.
And he's screwing the I.
P. Community out of this great player.
You know, there's so many little things out there going on right now, and I think we could do is just do our best toe Hang with it and go with your gut.
That's, you know, I I have a saying that I've said for years trust the charts.
D. P. Start, said Charts.
And I have to brag a little bit that the consistency of hitting is high right now, if somebody is asking me questions about my charts, I'm like, Hey, man, this is what I know.
Go with your gut because because it's so off the wall it is so crazy and again it's gonna level out.
We'll probably see teams and I D P leagues that are in probably offensive all offensive, which I haven't done in years.
But I'm gonna guess that we're gonna see seven, seven and five and eight and 16 is making the playoffs.
It might only be one might be, too, but I think that that consistency of you know what I'm saying coming out of my leagues right now is that there there is probably not gonna be anybody that is going to go 12 and oh, e I mean, unless you're in a dynasty league and you've got a super team this year, right? Right.
Something along that line.
Yeah, right, right.
so your i d piers, you know, just hang in.
It's a crazy year.
You're not on this island on your own.
The majority of everybody out there as have, is having the same exact problems you are.
So the odds are as this levels out, if you're say you're starting out zero and three, you're our odds Aren't that bad? You'll be three and three by mid season, You know what I mean? So just just hang in there, do what you could do, keep working the wire.
I'm going to start advising at this point.
If anybody asks, it's really dangerous.
Start chasing points and a player that I'm gonna point out this week if anybody's listen.
Thursday night, Gregor Hill went off, okay? Went off.
He stacked up all kinds of points, can't read.
It was playing a linebacker.
Dude had, like, 30% of the snaps.
So whatever his situation Waas and he got in there and got all those points, 30% of the snaps is not gonna cut it for next week.
It would be a miracle if he could repeat that.
Okay, So unless we hear that, all you know and I'm approving guy.
So I would want to say, Let's see what happens to begin with.
But unless we hear that he is getting 100% of the snaps next week, his baker's herd or something along that line, you know, don't go reaching.
You've got to know these players stat counts on top of just your gut feeling.
Just don't go buy those tackle numbers because those usually it will let you down, you know, And like the Pierre Louis thing to do was getting 100% snaps.
And here, Wham! You know it's not there.
It's just crazy this year.
I think you said something about before we take off.
Did you have a couple of players you were thinking about asking me about? It was helping the guy.
Um, yeah, actually, here.
I'll throw three at you really quick.
Let me pull this back up.
Um, all defense.
So I'm looking at this on the assumption that we're talking about leagues that are ahead of the curve and they're playing with edge and interior defensive line.
Um, as it is right now, Alden Smith is the number one defensive lineman in fantasy, and yeah, kills me as the Seahawks fan that we went and we paid people like Vincent Viola twice as much money as Aldon Smith.
But anyway, um well, this Smith kind of he would be a billionaire right now if he hadn't have done what he did.
Definitely, like got lucky there in Dallas with him turning things around.
But when I look at that, I am.
You know, my question for you would be if you look at defensive line right now, a keen hips is a guy that has come back from injury has been great.
Grady Djair and Aaron Donald.
Not the flashy position that you normally love, but at defense tackle.
They're both playing is top five defensive lines in general right now for fantasy and Aldon Smith.
So if you were gonna pick one player that you think is going to finish the year outside of the top 10 out of Aldon Smith, Grady, Jarrett, Aaron, Donald and Akeem Hicks, we're just talking full defensive line.
Which one of those guys do you think it's gonna be quickest to fall off? Oh, well, I mean, I gotta go with Hicks, and I don't mean to pick on Hicks.
But, I mean, the guy is older.
He has had the reason he fell off the map the last couple of years.
His injuries, you know eso and it is because he's older.
You know, it's great to see the guy back into the pool.
You know, the I d people players that we can start concentrate on.
I think him are.
You know, Aldon Smith.
Smith could get busted smoking a joint next week.
We don't know risk faster, right? I love it that he's back in, you know, I think, and I support that.
He's cleaned up himself.
And I got to give kudos for the Cowboys.
Jerry Jones and him and Randy Gregory.
You know, he's got Randy Gregory sitting out there to just imagine what this is gonna look like if Randy Gregory can get reinstated.
You've got Golden Smith.
Lawrence got Lawrence.
And you have, uh, old Yeah, Griffin, the old veteran.
And you throw in Gregory.
Oh, my goodness.
If they could get that all combination on there right now, that would be I mean, that would be outstanding.
But, you know, I have to say, probably hicks, um, I as the season wears on being the older guy it's gonna wear on him on.
That's a really manages his snap count.
So I would say I'd have to go with him.
I'm a huge Grady Jared fan and you're talking about him.
There's a consistency, you know, one of my first out loud break up calls in, like 2017 that, Hey, you got to get this guy.
He his dad was, you know, football player.
He's better on paper than you would ever imagine.
And boom, There it is.
And he is disconcerted. Stint.
He's one of those guys with my charts.
It's a week, or it's strong matchup for the week, you know, based on what comes out on paper with Grady, Jared is what I call, uh, matchup proof, right? So even if it's weak, he's in there.
He's in there because he's going to overachieve each week.
His consistency of beating the odds is just there.
Aaron Donald's another one of them.
Chase Young Chase.
Young was on his way and look at him now.
It's just that's kind of year we're having.
I mean, luckily I think I heard it was a groin injury, but that's still gonna be a couple of weeks.
Probably, right, right? Yeah, it's really unfortunate.
Um, e love that you said that about Grady Jarrett.
I've been in the same camp before.
I even knew you a few years ago.
I waste in this league and he's just a guy that he's like the not flashy, reliable.
He's like the Frank Gore of defensive tackles.
He's just doing it every year.
Doesn't ever look pretty.
But by the end of the year, he finishes his top six defensive tackle when he does it every season.
Yeah, cracks, too.
I mean, I think, What do you get last year? Nearly 10 I think.
Yeah, yeah, he's just a stat hog.
That's pretty much it.
And it's I can't imagine how much better he could even be if it land.
I figured out how toe, you know, get the crap in a pile. Three.
Only other question I had Houlton Hill was the guy that I saw brought up by a number of people as a like stream now candidate at cornerback.
And I know again you and I both are in agreement, right? I never wanna really roster cornerbacks unless it's like a weekly waiver kind of bye week.
And they've got a good matchup.
But holding hills, one of those guys.
That is why I part of why I hate cornerbacks and I d p is because the best cornerbacks and I d p are typically the guys that are the worst players in the NFL because they just get thrown at a time.
Holding hill is that guy right now.
He is terrible on my question For you is how many more weeks do you think we have of holding hill before he gets benched, right? Yeah.
I don't know what it looks like behind him on the depth chart that that is your problem.
Sometimes these NFL teams, they don't have the depth.
So that might be the worst guy out on the field.
But they ain't got anybody better.
I've seen them go the entire season.
You know, they go without replacing that guy until the next draft, or they don't do anything about it.
They just you know, they don't have a choice.
Uh, perfect example here.
I can't answer that.
I couldn't take a wild guess.
Don't do cornerbacks.
And as you know, I don't bull**** either, so I honestly don't know.
But every time that they put that guy in there, they're gonna or an I D p owner uses them better.
Keep it in the back of your mind.
Bench me, you know? So you better kind of do your due diligence on trying to, you know, find out reports or contacting somebody like us.
I don't do cornerbacks that, you know, get ahold of somebody and find out what's going on.
Um, not to change your subject, but the yesterday I had a somebody reached out to me on Twitter and they asked me about Curry jury in Philadelphia.
I am not high on Gurry went high on Gurry coming into the season went really high on any Philadelphia linebacker whatsoever.
Because in that wide nine that they like Thio use or basically use, they don't do it As much as they used Thio.
Their linebackers have never been They've all been a rotation they haven't had.
Even last year, Gurry averaged anywhere from 60 to 70 snaps a game.
All of a sudden, he's came out and he's getting 100%.
He's their guy, Okay? And this person said, I know you're not high on him, but you know what? Your take on this, we'll shoot your 100%.
There's a such thing as productive by default and to prove that this is the productive by default.
Now I know it's only a grade, but the Pff grade on him right now in season as I looked yesterday, was in the twenties that is the poor of the poor grade.
I think that coming out of 2019 he was in the thirties, which is poor of the poor.
They've got a guy.
He's getting every snap.
He's being fairly or a good productive, and he's no good.
I mean, he's not good at his job.
He's just there for the opportunity.
So he got to roll with what you got, E.
I told him, Write it out, Write it out until further notice.
I mean, Preston Brown was a perfect example in Buffalo, you know, for like, 23 years.
I think one year even had, like 155 combined tackles.
Soon as he Buffalo replaced him with Edmunds and released him or let him go and he went to Cincinnati.
I started throwing red flags.
Everybody bail on bail on bail on.
It's not really it's not riel because he kept he wasn't that good.
He was just put in that position, you know? So it happens and like you bring it up, this cornerback, you would think that you're wanting to do something.
A trade could be made.
Maybe somebody coming off the practice squad, something to replace them.
So it does have its downfalls.
There's not much you could do about it.
I would suspect, you know, just ride it out until just know that it it might happen, you know? Well, I appreciate that.
Yeah, it's Ah, it's a great question.
I don't really care about the Eagles linebackers, either, although I do have a couple shares in Dynasty of Davion Taylor and I think that, you know, he could be something you might not be.
But there certainly has the athletic attributes to turn into something potentially.
But when I hear Pff grades about the guys they're using in front of him right now and there's that poor like all right, you know, I'm keeping them on the taxi squad for the year.
But at some point, they're gonna move on from the other guys they have, whether it's Davion or someone they bring in, who knows? All right, But he's one of the guys I like on right now.
I guess I guess I could throw a bone here.
Something I noticed this morning.
But since if anybody is tuning in right now, I'm gonna I'm gonna let you in on something and I can't make too much out of it.
At the moment, we look up so well.
Edwards has surpassed Duke Riley in Philadelphia as the second linebacker getting the most snaps.
Keep an eye on Edwards Curry.
Suck if I don't know what grade is sitting on right now, because I'm afraid Thio But Edward, if Edwards continuously starts getting more and more over the next week or so, curry can all of a sudden start dropping it will do just the opposite.
So just something little bone out there for somebody that might have had Edwards or is looking at him sitting there If you're if you're hurting just a little, just a little meat on the bone for I D p to think about because Gurry is not that good.
And it just really depends.
Sometimes coaches could be stubborn.
We've seen it with Preston Brown forever.
Yeah, so you know, But just take it for what it's worth.
Um, I actually I'm running out of time here.
I gotta go back, get back to work.
On a few things.
