with the, you know, packers and Saints game.
Kind of what we all expected.
I am joined here today by my fellow US and family member, Michael.
How are we doing on this late night? Doing pretty good.
Little under the weather.
Sorry if you can see some red under my nose.
I've definitely been using the toilet paper quite locked here lately.
But we got the sniffles off, I say on a little congested.
That's what it is.
It's not the Rhona. So we're okay.
I was gonna say no role here.
Oh, I like that.
No, I think we're all good there.
It's just a head coal and just got a lot of drainage, so we'll push through talking football.
Maybe a little fantasy on that is always fun.
And we can do it all right here a few times before of we jump into the game tonight and you know some stuff down the road.
As I like to say, we have to pay the bills around here so we'll get into Our sponsors are first One, of course, is my book. You got a G.

I know that I was very, very locked into the Bangles and eagles, which turned out to be a terrible game.
But I watched all the way to the end.
I watched all the way till the end, hoping that the Eagles would come out on top for my parlay and, of course, did not happen.
But you know, we'll scoot on past that.
The code us and 100 doubles your first deposit.
You can, of course, followed bets unwrapped over there.

I just came in to say 333 and Oh, baby.
Three and oh, they are.
Now, you know what? We can jump right into the game now that we got sponsorships out of the way.
And of course, now that Matt is here, well, that definitely will help us out of here.
Um, you know, watching this game.
It was It was very interesting.
I didn't, you know, catch every single second over, like I'm sure Matt did.
But, you know, you just start going down.
This stat lines it was it was pretty solid.
You know, Aaron Rodgers is 21 to 32 to 83 3 touchdowns, no interceptions.
Erin Jones did his thing, you know, not quite like last week.
We had that crazy game with over 250 all purpose yards, but 16 carry 69 yards a touchdown.
Alan Lazard was huge tonight.
He had six catches for 146 yards and a touchdown at that long 72 yard catch.
So, you know, with the absence of Davante Adams, he certainly came up big for everybody.
And then Erin Jones, out of the backfield, had two catches for 17 yards.
Robert Tanyon had five receptions for 50 yards and then you go over to the Saints team if I can scroll down and finally find their stats, which it is not looking like I can for some reason.
But what I do know is that this man, Alvin Kamara, was absolutely worth the contract because let me tell you, he is playing out of his mind right now.
He is absolutely playing fantastic.
And I don't know why I can't find the stats where it's only showing Green day on ESPN.
Come on, you're really killing.
I'll tell you a quick Hey, had six carries, 58 yards averaging 9.
70 God, I just had to refresh the page.
Okay? Obviously made a wonderful knots in receptions.
13 receptions on 14 targets.
139 passing yards with two touchdowns.
I just want to say, Oh, hold before we dio Where'd you go? Where'd you go? I just saw that, Uh, my man Josh was in here, but he disappeared.
If you're watching, you better come back.
My fellow bullets boy partner E will say the one play that that made that made me lose my **** during the game was when Alvin Kamara caught a simple check down and he made six Green Bay Packer players looked like fools.
I was definitely when they tied the game up at 27 27.
The way you saw how Alvin Kamara, which is all shifty and make guys miss I'm like what? What are we doing? But you know Green Bay's three, you know, I mean, not a lot of people would have thought of that before the season.
I I didn't I actually didn't think I mean, I know I sent the picture of Michael of me having Green Bay winning this game.
But when I did, when I did the stream with Sam, I thought I thought we're gonna lose the game just because we didn't have Kenny Clarke and Davante Adams.
I thought it was gonna be a situation where you know all Alvin Kamara is gonna break loose and we could and we can't stop the offense.
And I have a Camara did break loose, but our offense kept up like with the Saints.
And this this game really shows like the potential that Green Bay really has this upcoming season of, you know, being able to compete with with the top dogs in in the NFC.
You know it Zvehr e.
I'm very proud of the way how Green Bay played against the New Orleans Saints.
Obviously, that run defense is a very huge concern.
I mean, Alvin Kamara just had himself a day whether it was carrying the ball or catching the ball.
It was a bad day, *******.
But you know, other than that being ableto keep on scoring 30 plus points for three straight weeks, this has been an impressive run.
And you know, Green based next opponent is against the Atlanta Falcons, and I expect that to be an easy cakewalk victory.
So wise Cheese is very satisfied with a three and a record, and and I know this is, ah, NFL related baseball related.
I wanted to congratulate all of our favorite baseball teams from making the playoffs.
Dodgers have one seed, Yankees click the playoffs, and the Cincinnati Reds have their playoff berth.
And what about you, Josh? I know you just came in, but what's your favorite? Uh, MLB team? I don't follow baseball a lot, but I've always been a Cubs fan.
So Well, congrats on the Cubs in the NL Central.
All four over teams are All four of our teams are in the MLB.
Put all wish you guys the best of all and the MLB postseason, but back on to getting it back to football real quick.
I dio just wanna I wanna ask you guys a question.
You know, we obviously saw tonight that the big stars for both teams were out.
There was no Michael Thomas.
There was no Davante Adams, you know, And then you start looking at it in a weird way.
I can almost feel like and I don't know where you guys will win on.
This is Well, it's almost a good thing for teams sometimes to have their stars out.
Because now you look at what we're going back to before You know, Alan was, are definitely isn't doing this.
When Davante Adams is probably in the game like we said, six catches, 146 yards touchdown, the long 72 yard catch e.
I mean, he averaged 24.
3 yards per catch, so I almost look at it and wonder if and you know, you could even go over to the Saints as well.
Emmanuel Sanders finally got a little bit more involved with his four catches.
Alvin Kamara had 13 receptions for 139 yards.
I mean, that is just unbelievably had two touchdowns through the air as well.
So my question is, do you think that sometimes when star players out, it can really be a addition by subtraction? Almost sometimes, Josh, I'll start with you since your your newer into the Into the stream.
Hey, Josh. Yeah, Michael.
What's up, Michael? Nice to meet you.
I mean, we talked a little bit back, but, I mean, I don't know.
I think sometimes it's good.
I think tonight it was good for both teams, I think being able to see what Aaron Rodgers conduce do with his receivers outside of Bonta Atoms, obviously, man.
I had the Packers tonight, too, so I'm really happy that one.
Lazard stepped up their tight end on who was, but he was wearing 87 J by another pass.
Catchers wearing 87.
Yeah, He stepped up a little bit. He made a couple big place.
I like to see that.
I like to see what offenses could do when they're number one.
Options are out.
And, like, I don't even think the saints are really struggling without Michael Thomas.
They're still putting up points.
Their offense is still getting down the field and in scoring points.
But there is not able to keep up with other offenses without a big threat like that.
And when it came down to the wire in the fourth quarter, they just didn't have anyone to really go to.
They were just looking for Drew Brees to make big plays, but I think both often to his did really well tonight without the number one options out there.
Erin Jones did really good.
I still would like to see him get the ball more.
I mean, he got it a lot tonight, but like, he's a workhorse.
He needs toe just grind out the yards for them.
But, I mean, I like what I saw from both offenses, especially without their stars.
I was impressed with with both Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers without Adams and Thomas.
Michael What about What about you, my bad man? We'll get you next, man. Don't you worry.
I know that you've already Oh, yeah, you got me.
Oh, don't worry, Michael.
What you think? Thank you.
I appreciate it.
Well, I was super stoked for the game with fantasy involved on this s o me and Connie is actually playing today.
Well, I'm playing against Connie, and Connie is just kind of got teams out there.
I'm kind of just there.
I'm not actually playing.
Uh, yeah, and I actually have less hard on my team.
And I was iffy about starting him just because I thought, you know, like we're talking about Devante is not there.
Will they double team him, shut him down? Kenny even thrive in the spotlight on because he is their best receiver at the moment.
But I went ahead and stuck with it and thank goodness I did, because six receptions 146 yards on a couple big bombs hunt touchdown.
We actually, uh, err fantasy leagues in the sleeper.
And if you all have ever used Sleeper, you obviously love it.
If not, please do.
But he got me 26.
6 fantasy points and it was wonderful to get that, especially because I have ah cook on my team to for the Saints.
And I was like, Well, surely, goodness, somebody's gonna get a touchdown because cooks obviously he's not gonna be getting a lot of yardage, But he's, ah, goal line presence there, big time.
And then he went down with an ankle injury and I was a little nervous.
But then all of a sudden it was like that 50 yard pass with Lazard and I was like, Okay, I've got this now I can put my phone down and not keep checking this app and actually just enjoy the game.
So sometimes, sometimes I love when the star players aren't there because we can't see.
Like Josh said, See these guys shining in the moment and it's a league over the next man up.
But sometimes it also looks bad.
But then, if you think back to the Jets and it looks like they're number one, options are always worse than everyone else's fourth string.
So we won't talk much about the Jets on that.
But so, yeah, it was a great game.
I was worried with it being on Monday Night football game what would actually go on with some of the stars out, but it was definitely worth watching.
Now we got a runny nose.
I'm gonna step over to the side, Matt.
We'll hear your thoughts on, you know, missing the star players.
The opinion here, the the unbiased opinion.
Well, I was recently just talking toe Sam, another another Green Bay man as well, and he made a great point, he said.
He said This game really show this was a game where Green Bay had to make a point of not drafting a receiver was the right decision.
And this game show that it was the right decision of them not going up the receiver in this draft just because because of how great Alan Lazard Waas.
I mean, he had he had what was it like seven or eight catches over 100 yards and a touchdown, So he looked great.
Stern Burger was definitely better this week than last week.
He was terrible against Detroit, dropping every past known a man.
I thought he lost his spot to dig Wara, but Stern Burger definitely bounced back.
And how about how about the big dog Mercedes Lewis, like he's in, I believe his 16th year and and you know he's I mean I mean, hey, at least at least the Green Bay Packers aren't one and two Michael, unlike the Dallas Cowboys, So I would I would, I would remove.
Your Packers are overrated.
Group one and two is not bad.
One and two is one of two below 500.
They had a chance to be three.
Sometimes sometimes you get to a slow start.
Start how you finish.
You're gonna be different because there's no preseason games.
So this really is still preseason? I'm pretty confident.
I'm pretty confident the Panthers could go 14 and two e my person.
I know you're my co host.
I know you're my co host, but I might have to remove you from the street.
E I'm saying is, all I'm saying is, Christian McCaffrey wasn't there.
And that offense Look, he won't be there the next 3 to 5 weeks.
And we looked really good without Z.
Really good with All right, All right.
We're not going 14 that.
Let's get back to business, boys.
Back to business.
We'll get Don't you worry.
At the end of this, we're gonna go around to talk about our favorite teams, but for now, packers and saints.
Now, I'll let you finish up real quick cause I do have another point over over.
Over all our offense stepped up big, especially with Davante Adams.
I mean, even last year, like when Davante Adams without four games last year with this turf toe injury, we went or no, and we're just perfectly fine without him.
This game just proved to show that, you know, one Aaron Rodgers is still a bad man.
And to you could do well with no matter what kind of weapons you have, and in front of him, he could just find a way to do things.
I mean, you saw him do well with Erin Jones vs Detroit Lions last week.
You saw him do good with Alan Mazar This week, MVS made some great place overall.
Great way by the Green Bay Packers against against a very good New Orleans Saints team.
New Orleans Saints definitely look better this week than they did get on Monday Night Football.
All things that you know, Green Bay not being in the South tower tomorrow.
But you know it's not how you start.
It's how you finish.
We finish the game strong, and that's why we're three.
Cheese is a very happy man with the Green Bay Packers.
Yeah, you mentioned Alvin Kamara and this is what I kind of wanted to eat into next way.
Obviously saw how important he was to the Saints tonight without Michael Thomas, you know, 13 catches out of the backfield is, you know, as this will make Josh happy Christian McCaffrey like, but that that kind of leads me into this.
You know, we look at there's two.
There's really two types of running backs.
In my opinion, there is the Derrick Hendry's the ZX, and then we have McCaffrey, an album.
Camara Se Kwan. People like that.
And everybody is kind of iffy on paying their running backs.
I think I would lean more towards paying in a running back like album tomorrow.
I mean, Derrick Henry is, you know, kind of ah, North South runners gonna take a lot of punishment.
I don't know how long that is going toe actually last, which is the only reason it scares me.
You know Alvin Kamara and people like McCaffrey or, you know, you can even look at you know David Johnson in his pride.
You know, Arizona days, if you were a GM hypothetically, obviously are.
Are you looking more for your Christian McCaffrey or you're looking for a Jack Kennedy? I know that there's a lot of you know, different types of people out there, but I think I personally Onley give that big contract to, you know, a person that you can use in multiple ways.
Because if not, you don't see Derrick Henry in the past game a lot.
That's when you know they bring in.
You know, when Dion Lewis, when he was there, they would bring him in for passing situations.
So with the, you know, debate on giving, running backs, big contracts, Where you guys on that? Who would you really pay? I'll start off with you, Matt.
I'm going with Kush. McCaffrey.
I want a running back that could run the ball down the field and I could receive passes. I mean, Derrick Henry.
Yeah, he's great bulldozing it, But can he be able to catch passes out of the outfit and, uh, being able to catch passes? We'll have to find out and see.
But if I'm paying high money for running back, it is definitely going to be for a Christian McCaffrey type of player and also kind depends on where you draft him.
Like like the Giants they drafted.
Barkley at the numbers to overall pick it doesn't matter what kind of form he is.
They're going to have to pay them because you don't just draft running back at the number two overall pick and not pay him.
That's that's just not how it works.
Maybe if you do have to running back in the fourth or fifth round, maybe you could think of it a different way.
But even with Christian McCaffrey, when Christian McCaffrey got drafted by the Panthers, I believe it was either the seventh or the eighth pick.
You kind of figure they were gonna pay him that big money just because he's a top 10 pick.
You don't just let a top 10 pick walk away just because he's a running back so overall to pay big money for started running back, it is definitely going to be a Christian McCaffrey type of guy just because we know that he could do both.
We know that when needed, he could run the ball down the field.
And when you need a big pass play, he's gonna be ableto perform.
Well, uh, Michael Yes, I get to go next.
Yeah, I don't like Josh.
Josh, I'm sorry.
Love the posters by the way great next.
But e, I will say this if I was the GM, as you're saying, and I had the choice to pick between two players of what I wanted, Obviously you have to assess your line.
What kind of offense that you have already there, your X's and O's.
But if none of that was a factor, I would definitely want a past catching and running running back for the fact that I think the longevity if that word is right, uh, it's much better for with them because I mean wide receivers. Yes, there.
If they come across the middle, they could get killed on those passes.
We know that concussions, whatever, but they still opportunity where they could get down and survive and live for another day.
Uh, if I had to take Derrick Henry E one.
Hey, Derek, I just want you to know that, right? Forces at work, they have this A Let's see here they drive this partnership that they've got with Rx hemp.
If you use the promo code, we are, you know, asks us in for your body.
You might be able to live a little bit longer in the NFL.
So that's my My spot on it is I'd rather have a passing them back.
Uh, Camara figure, just because one he could create his space from the back.
He sees the whole, so he's moving up well on his feet.
But at the same time, if you get him in open space, he could create quite a bit of extra yards after catch.
But also, he could get down and just basically do the baseball slide or to get out of balance and not take the beatings.
I think he actually looks for the contract.
He is a truck looking to run something over, and I just every time I do a show that we talk about, I always say Derek Kitchen and I think it's got three or four years maximum that he could still produce what he's doing because, man, they used him for four years or three years solid at Alabama, came in and just kept on rolling like this.
I mean, how much longer can he do this? How about you, Josh E.
I mean, I think there's really only three running backs in the league that I think are worth an extension and worth investing a lot of money in on.
I think that's McCaffrey camera and honestly, I think it's Derrick Henry.
I love sake Juan Love Joe Mix.
And I love all those guys Melvin Gordon.
But all those guys, like it's tough to really, really commit to them for a long term future and think they're gonna be able to carry you.
It may not be the best pass catcher, but he is tough to bring down.
He like he's just a monster out there.
I mean, it's there's not a lot of running backs in the past that really could compare to him.
And then, obviously, with camera McCaffrey, they could do everything.
Catch it on the back field.
That could be the best receiver on the field any day.
And they can also be the best, the best running back in the league any day.
So, obviously, in my opinion, McCaffrey's best running back in the league, tough for me against that camera is right there just because of his his shiftiness and open field.
And for me, that's what it comes down to is can you make the plays in the open field.
When you get past the line of scrimmage and you're in the open field, can you make those big plays? And that's what I think All three of those running backs really exceeding is they make those.
They make those short yardage situations in tow.
So I think those three winning, I wanna ask this with you, Josh, if you had like, if you're starting a franchise right now, I mean, yes, I think Derrick Henry is by far top match, one of the best running backs in the league just because of its power and what he does.
But if you had a perfect dynasty that you were going on, would you consider taking cook over Henry? Just to think that you could actually have a franchise on that, I'd probably still go.
I like what Dalvin cook does.
I mean, he's really not really not a big threat in the passing game.
He's a hard runner.
He does a lot of what Derrick Henry does, but Derrick Henry just has a lot more strength, and he's just proven more to me.
From what I've seen, especially in the playoffs, I mean getting it done in the playoffs is also a very big part of of being a franchise running back.
And that's why I think they're Kennedy belongs in that category of those running backs there, just above everyone else.
Yeah, it's definitely it's definitely fair now.
Another thing is, you know what? The Saints dropped down to one and two now.
Obviously, they've lost their last two games.
I don't think I'm ready to panic on them.
I think you know, Michael Thomas comes back and the offense, you know, because, like, you know, we've said they haven't really been struggling.
I don't think that they look, you know, perfect by any means.
But I don't think it's time to, you know, panic per se.
Are you guys losing any faith in the same e? I mean, I think they also have to tighten up the defense a little bit.
I don't know what's going on with that.
I thought that there would be a ah little bit better over on that side.
But, you know, like I said, when Michael Thomas comes back, if album tomorrow is gonna continue playing this way, that's gonna be a big problem.
He's definitely earning that contract that he just signed for Sure.
And then if you can get people like Emmanuel Sanders involved, if Jared Cook is gonna be all right with that ankle, I know Michael said that he went out, But are you guys, you know, panicking on the scenes? We obviously saw them win Week one against the Bucks, But that was kind of, you know, a new system for everybody over there in Tampa Bay.
So we don't know.
Obviously, since then, they've they've been to a no saints, lost to, ah, Raiders team at the Patriots, just absolutely manhandled, uh, this week and then lose this week.
Thio good to a good Packers team as well.
Obviously there's three, and also there's nothing to joke around about but is, you know, panic button time in New Orleans.
I'll start off with Michael.
Well, I'm a Cowboys fan who is wanted to, and I'm not panicking for them.
So I Let's be honest.
The New Orleans Saints is a lot better team than cowboys from offense and defense.
I'll say that offense.
I put a cowboys up with anyone, but they just struggle right now.
Whoever they struggle for like the 1st 2.
5 quarters, and also that they just throw 400 yards and they come back anyway.
So, no, this this season is just completely different.
There's no preseason games, no one to get any rust off, and then they're just throwing straight into the the lines then and go with it.
So if anyone that I would have the least amount of worry with would be Drew Brees leading my French fries, I mean, he's just a veteran who's ready to go. Always.
All he does is win.
But no, I and you're losing to Green Bay now.
I would be iffy about the Oakland loss, but Oakland, they look decent now again.
They did lose a path through The Pats are definitely a team that everyone's surprised about.
We didn't expect this from Cam at all, so oh, of course, jeans did.
But that's just and I think out of all the teams that would be one or two, the New Orleans Saints is the least amount of anyone's worried about still finishing out like this.
What are your thoughts, what you say? What do I hear? Crickets somewhere that's very possible.
The crickets outside of my house or unreasonably loud.
Yeah, I live right by field crickets out there all times. E.
Let's get on the phone, E.
Yes, that problem, too.
But you're so focused, man.
No, like I'll be on Xbox and I'll literally have people like bro, would you have, like, a cricket farm or something? And I'm like, I just I don't know what the problem is.
But Josh, what are your thoughts on what we were discussing? Yeah, as a Panthers fan, I would love to say it's panic mode for the Saints, and they're just kind of crumbling.
But that's just really not the case.
It's only three weeks, and they really haven't played that bad.
And they have obviously been dealing with their number one weapon.
Well, number one a number one b is tomorrow and Michael Thomas.
So when you're missing one of those guys, obviously your offense is gonna lose production.
It's gonna be tough for to make plays in the passing game when there's no attention on a guy like Michael Thomas.
So I don't I don't think it's panic mode for them.
People were going crazy saying, Drew Brees.
His arm is dead and everything, but he looked good to me tonight.
He was making good throws down the field, so I don't think it's panic mode for them.
I think when they get Michael Thomas back when a couple games in a row, nothing to worry about for them.
You know the only thing that they scare me about your breeze and Michael let you go right after this, and then we'll obviously get the mascot.
I did see something that Drew Brees hasn't completed a pass over 35 the air yards since 2018.
So that is, uh, you know, there's a lot of talk around a lot of the league that this quarterbacks losing arm strength, this quarterbacks with arm strength.
But when you're not completing passes, that Aaron the air for that long, you're definitely losing something.
So that's the only thing that I would really look at.
We've kind of seen that throughout the year, like the last year, in particular that beginning of the year.
Drew Brees was fantastic and then it's kind of like that.
End of the year.
It seems like he's almost getting tired.
Struggling in the playoffs, things like that.
I'm definitely looking as well.
But Michael, I'll let you say you're a quick point.
Then we'll get some map on the, uh what Camara? That could be why Camara had 13 catches tonight.
You know, there's no deep threat that where he can throw that.
But what I was just gonna say is, as far as the Saints there next week, they play the lines.
If they were to lose to the lines and then I'm panicking, S o, I will say that.
I think this week No, but if they were somehow lose to the Lions, who loses, everything loses everything, then I'm panicking, but kind of the same way with the Cowboys were one and two.
And we're playing the Browns, whose two in one if we lose to the Browns, which Brown's is a wonderful offensive team.
But if we lose to the Browns and I think we're panicking too, so my bad, it's all wanted.
Added Yeah, Now it's up to you.
Yeah, I agree with most you guys saying I'm not panicking and find the same span. I'm not worried.
I mean, you don't have Michael Thomas and you still put up 30 points like that's That's pretty impressive, man.
I'll even going to further the next four games that they have.
They have the Detroit Lions, which is next week.
They have the Chargers.
They go into their bye week and then they got the Panthers and the Bears.
Well, if Michael Thomas comes back Week four against Alliance, I'm smelling four straight victories.
I don't I don't see honestly, the Saints losing those next four games, and they're right then back in at five and two, going up against Tampa Bay, and then it's like, Oh, like, why would we panic in the first place, right? I just simply think, you know, with Michael Thomas being being out, Drew Brees started to get up there in age.
I mean, there's really no need to panic at all.
Four. New Orleans.
I mean, you look at there's still pretty much in second in their division.
I mean, the only team that's ahead of them is is the Bucks at two in one, but you're just a game behind them and then Carolina being one and two in Atlanta being on three year, you're right there, like in the division, There really isn't anything to worry about.
But I will say Michael does make a point.
If the Saints lose to the Detroit Lions next week, that is when the panic button starts to press on and be like, Um, why are we one in three? Why did we just lose to the Detroit Lions? That would be when, like Michael would say, I would push the panic.
But right now, one and two, obviously, I mean, we've seen a lot of teams start off one and two and then finish off the season strong.
I mean, I remember in 2014 Green Bay started off one and two, Rogers said.
Those famous words relaxed, and we finished the season 12 and four and go on the answer championship game.
So obviously, like we all say, it's not how you start this season. It's how you finish.
I expect the Saints to finish strong once promise gets back.
I expect to breathe to be back to form, and I expect the Saints to be a team that's gonna be competing for the tough NFC South division and and forcible this season.
So no panic button for me for the New Orleans Saints.
But if they do lose the Detroit, that panic button is being hammered down.
If I don't know how I would feel if they lost the lines like you guys said, I think that would definitely be, Ah, big red flashing warning that that there's kind of something wrong there.
But like we said it, Michael Thomas comes back.
You know, that's the only reason I think you can really not panic right now.
I think if they had Michael Thomas, I think if they were at full strength completely all around and this was happening, then I'd be a little scared because you have, you know, arguably one of the best, as Michael shows off his beautiful Gatorade bottle.
But if you have arguably one of the best wide receivers in the league and you're still at one and two after playing these teams, I would be a little concerned.
But he's out, you know, album Kamar is literally putting the team on his back at the moment.
It just seems like it's not enough at the moment.
I don't know what just happened there.
Oh, they really wanted to see my Gatorade.
I'm sorry, guys. There.
No, it Z something.
Listen, whoever just hacked us, I know it's a beautiful body, but or body.
I said body e a pause.
Right now, I need a Texas sized pause.
So But e think me, Michael, are, you know, kind of built the same, so I just saw a lot of myself in him.
What do you mean, a lot? Beautiful? I mean, because I think I am.
Well, okay, a lot.
We're way off subject here.
Football state block of football.
Anyway, is there anything else before that? You guys want to talk about this game in particular? Because then I think we were just gonna hiking on over to our favorite teams.
May break that down a little bit, but is there anything in the Sunday night game that really caught you guys? I before we move on just a tad bit.
Just how great Aaron Rodgers looks in year 16 playing in the way are not we're not doing We're not doing this because if I have to hear Aaron Rodgers, listen, I have to hear Aaron Rodgers, your 16 like I've heared like I've heard LeBron your 17.
I'm never watching football.
Last I checked, my team has the best record.
Out of all, you guys just teams in the stream, so I have the right.
I got, I got I got Aaron Rodgers winning MVP this year, so I'm e what's gonna happen? Russell Wilson is gonna come and drop kick him down there.
You know, Anthony, you guys want to know who Anthony had his M v p Go ahead.
Carson, Carson, Wentz, Carson Wentz.
Oh, God, That way had after with Anthony, I bet with Alex saying he has to shave his head of Cam Newton wins EVP I've never been I've never been less scared about something in my life way.
Take another time out real quick.
Did you really have wince e I love once, bro, I think one of my camera.
Well, listen, I think I think if you gave when's the proper talent instead of the one of the worst old lines and no receivers, he's the top five quarterback.
Well, I mean, he was 2017 when you get me the best.
If it's a lot of best weapons with the creepy e No, no, listen, you're wrong because I said I said if he had adequate talent instead of the worst, I never said best.
I guarantee you right now if he was on Dallas, they would be in the fifties and they have that M v P caliber.
He should be able to just deal with what he's got to take him there.
Rodgers years wrestled with for years.
Let's look at Erin.
Listen, I was wrong.
What? We owe a formal apology for that pick e the rest of the year.
Carson wants to throw to 30 touchdowns or interceptions and win that quality.
Every day, at least twice a day, I message Jason way.
You guys are getting me off track again and which is probably gonna never let me host this ever again.
It's okay. It's okay.
Way all make mistakes.
That one was a big We have discussed, you know, mass favorite team the Packers this whole time, so I guess we'll throw it over to Josh.
I know you probably watch that Panthers Chargers game, and we were talking about a little bit, so we'll just get into your thoughts about that.
We're gonna Michael with the Cowboys and then, uh oh, no, we have Well, we will.
What were your Panther thoughts? Yeah, I mean, everyone was.
Everyone pretty much doubted us this week, saying Christian McCaffrey is gone.
It's gonna be a rough week.
But if you watch a blitz, boys, you know, I picked the Panthers this week.
I really like I need a pause on this one, too, because you picked the Chargers and I convinced you to take the Panthers.
No, You convinced me to take the Broncos.
I picked the Panthers on my own free will.
Are you sure? I'm 100% sure I picked the Panthers on my own free will because I said keep a link.
We're gonna need a link if you're also so we can find that out.
Make sure I All I know is I picked the panthers and I picked them.
And I'm not pick them without Anthony convincing me because I know you're right, because I called e just stupid.
All right, but I picked the panthers because the passing attack is It was really impressed with the first two weeks, Week two against the Buccaneers, both Robby Anderson and D.
Moore went over 100 yards and eliminating Christian McCaffrey kind of makes it.
It makes it obviously very tough for the offense to find a way toe to move the ball down the field.
But it also makes it tough for the defense because it's been a couple of years since they play the Panthers without Christian McCaffrey, usually the focal point of the offense.
So being able to have Mike Davis step in and he was really good today, especially in the passing game, getting in the flats, creating creating yards and just moving the ball down the field.
Robby Anderson courtesy area were big even.
And Tom has got involved today.
So I was really impressed with everything today, especially the defense defense really stepped up for some fumbles.
Put pressure on Justin Herbert.
Obviously, Dante Jackson had that big pick, but late game I was I was really upset with the play call about six seconds on the six seconds on the clock in its 3rd and 15.
They have to score a touchdown and we blitz five guys like, Why not just send 10 back? They need to touch down the way if they need it.
So why are we blitzing five guys and having all three of our linebackers in zone coverage? Just put everyone back.
They I mean, if Austin Heckler catches that lateral, he could've backpedal, did a cartwheel and scored a touchdown to win the game.
Like it was that close for us to blow in the game.
But outside of that, I really liked what I saw this week.
So I'm gonna ask you, I'm gonna ask you one question, Josh, or kind of going back to what we were saying before, with McCaffrey out, that's obviously the Panthers.
Big star Mike Davis obviously showed out in this game a little bit.
I picked him up in fantasy.
I benched him, of course, Um, because I'm not very smart, but do you think that this is another thing that we were saying, you know, addition by subtraction, that maybe when the Catholic comes back, we can see, you know, two back sets Mike Davis more involved? What do you think? What do you think is going on with that? No, I think I think Mike Davis will go back to his original role.
If McCaffrey needs a break, he'll come in.
I don't think, Mike, this is I mean, I like him as a running back.
Obviously, he fits what we need, someone that can catch the ball and also run between the tackles.
But I think when McCaffrey comes back, it's It's just gonna be him in the backfield in short yardage situations.
Tomorrow will get the ball is a fullback, but now I don't see Mike Davis being a big part of the offense in the future.
On the Catholics back, I wanted to add it on, and that's kind of what's touching about.
Do you think that Mike Davis will keep up with this? Uh, I have him on my fantasy league and he actually got about, like, 19 fantasy points.
I mean, he led the league in target, but it led the league lead this team and targets with nine.
And, of course, he had eight receptions, 45 yards with a touchdown.
Do you think it's good? Do you have to keep him playing and starting lineups? Yeah, I think he's going to keep it up.
He's a workhorse.
He was in college and he proved to be that when McCaffrey went down in the fourth quarter against the bucket years, Mike Davis came in and was making plays in the passing game, and obviously he was.
He was a big impact today on the game, so I think he's going to keep it up longest. McCaffrey's out.
I think he's gonna be a big part of the offense for as long as we need them to be.
That's all I wanted to add.
What do your cowboy thoughts? A cowboy thoughts.
I would rather talk about any other game than the cowboy.
I'm very interested in the cowboy game.
I'm sorry, but before we get into cowboy game, I have to add one more thing about the kind of panthers I will admit, Josh, I was wrong as well.
So I'm sorry, I I did have the Chargers winning as well.
I thought it was.
I thought it was gonna be a landslide victory.
But, hey, you know what the thing about the NFL is? You expect the unexpected And Carolina definitely proved me wrong.
And you know what? Kudos.
Kudos to Carolina.
I mean, without Christian McCaffrey, I thought I thought it was over.
I'm just like, Oh, Caffrey's done 4 to 6 weeks.
It's a rap, you know? Expect the tank for Carolina toe go full steam ahead.
But they played. They played pretty good.
I mean, you're you're you're a dire Panthers, right? So you kind of understand more about the Panthers than I do.
But, you know, I I was I was very impressed with what Carolina was able to do.
And, you know, it's a good win for them.
First win, ever from that rule as a head coach.
So being a rookie head coach, finally getting that first win under your belt is definitely a huge and, you know, let's see if they could continue that momentum going going forward throughout the rest of the What was the head shake, man.
What z What's so? I don't know nothing.
I was I was talking about Michael's name.
I hate this guy.
Okay, on to the Cowboys.
Excuse me, everyone in our in our unwrapped sports, Chet has bad mouth deck all day long.
Yes, he threw two crucial intercept win the big game, but yet his passing rating was 93.6.
He 472 yards don't matter.
Three touchdown passes and l is an EL, but your defense gives up 38 points.
It's hard to win that game well, so when does? And not only that.
Who is the best player in the Dallas Cowboys? If you had to pick Zeke, Zeke Elliot had 14 carries for 34 yards, an average of 2.
4 yards per carry.
Looking like Joe Mixon out there? Yeah, so I want to know this is a line's fault.
Or is Zeke's fault what's going on here? But Deck almost outrushed him.
He had 26 yards on six carries, and some of those and two of those were sacks.
So I mean, take away that as well.
So when a man throws 472 yards, which was way more than Aaron Rodgers through has three touchdowns.
But the two interceptions were so crucial.
Uh, actually, excuse me.
I actually took my kids on a walk when we were down by, like, 10 points because, like, we're all sick.
So they're gonna my nerves trying to watch the Dallas Cowboys.
Let's just leave.
I'm tired because I actually thought about throwing the remote through the TV is I can't do that.
Uh, but, uh, this is gonna be a everyday thing.
Now, Connie, you know that we're always going todo absolutely, but I come back in and it was 31 30.
I was like, Oh, my goodness, The cowboys have come back again.
We're doing it again.
And the very play I watched, we threw another interception.
I said, I'm turning it off.
I'm not watching no more. Maybe we'll come back and win.
So I mean, when you're a Kentucky football fan, you learn to have moral victories.
I'm glad to see the two back to back games.
We had a great fight to come back into it.
Seattle is a wonderful team.
We lost to a team that we're supposed to lose to if we wouldn't have her interception or turnovers.
When we did, it could have been a different story.
So I'm not panicking.
It's some stuff that we could work out.
We've got to get Zeke getting mawr than two yards per carry.
Like Zeke should be averaging 6 to 7 yards of carry, and that shouldn't have to pass nearly as much.
But I mean 93 passages rating.
I think for me, from what I've seen, because I really only watched the second half of the Cowboys game or like the fourth quarter late third for me, it really comes.
I don't like the play call for the Cowboys really at all.
It's like they're they're really not opening up anything for Zeke.
They're running a lot of short passes and just a lot of they're not really looking to take shots downfield.
They're really making plays in the passing game like they know when they're going to give it to Zeke because they give it to him every time.
They're not really helping them out a lot, and, like we all agree, that seeks the best player out there for the Cowboy.
That gets all the hate.
But you need a running game if that's going to be able to produce.
And when six getting all those carries, they gotta help him out in the passing game.
Try to open things up, opening up.
The passing game opens up the wrong game.
It's it's vice versa.
They help each other out there.
I just happened like the Cowboys play called it just hasn't looked good to me so far.
We'll hurt the Cowboys to, you know, just watching that game.
Zeke must have dropped four passes.
It was not a pretty sight for Zeke in the passing game today.
So just to throw that one out there as well, Yeah, that's actually was that was That was actually because, like, there's a couple plays back to back where they're trying to get Zika to the flats and either a zika is a horrible route running or the play was designed horrible, like there's one.
He was running to the right, and by the time he turned to the left, it was already coming to us, right? Like he would have to turn completely away from where he should be going.
And I don't blame **** for a bad pass.
Like the way he ran his route was horrible, like you would usually running back.
They're not gonna run like a slant, and then out, you know, it's gonna be like a e.
I think they call it a wheel route, usually get him out to the flats.
That way, I'm just like, Is this designed to run that way with TV t on, uh Or is this just Zeke not being very involved in passing in his whole career that now he's trying to figure this out and it's lacking.
E kinda wanna pull up to see how many passes he had and how many incomplete.
He had 12 targets on six catches for 24 yards.
12 targets is a lot of targets for running back.
Like we just talked about it tomorrow and you see how much better tomorrow was.
But it's not flat flat passes for tomorrow.
It's five and around the line.
Get it to him in the middle of the linebackers.
Now go out and create.
I feel like Kelly.
I think it's killing more.
Is trying to make Zeke play to this new era running backs.
When Zeke is a Derrick Henry style players.
Still, so there's my opinion.
Yeah, well going.
Oh, never mind that E.
I'm sorry about that, but I will.
I will say that that that was the classic Dak Prescott game where he's bad in the beginning, too costly picks and just has crunch time yards.
That's why Michael always pulled him over the head forward.
33 passing yards in 93 passer rating.
But in Ellison l If Jack doesn't throw two interceptions, it's a different ball game.
That's the difference between this guy Rodgers and his guy Deck.
Rogers doesn't turn the ball over and he wins ball games.
Jack Prescott wins old participation award.
At least we made a good effort, I think, as we made a good effort coming back in this game, E I mean I mean, come on now.
It's like it was like, Yeah.
I mean, if you want to go that route, Yeah, I mean exactly that.
But he lost it doesn't I mean, Tom Brady threw for 505 yards and a Super Bowl and lost, and nobody talks about Oh, did you see Tom Brady throw from 500 yards in that Super Bowl, though? Jane, What a great game.
Yet it was an l.
Nobody talks about that.
E I 100% agree with you on that, But is it Dad's fault? No, no, of course not.
And this is going well and this is classic.
You know back this.
This is classic Mike McCarthy as well, Mike McCarthy's final couple of years in Green Bay.
The offense just wasn't creative and moving the ball down the field, man.
When and and I will say, like you mentioned, Zeke had 12 targets, but only cost six months.
Zeke just has toe.
Zeke is a guy who just runs it down people's throats.
I don't know what what Kellen Moore is doing.
I'm thinking that he's a patch catching guy.
When Zeke was a rookie, all they did, which is handling the ball like Zico, create B B a man.
And if you need to catch a pass and just a little screen pass, I don't know, let him eat.
Don't let him go out and try to get exactly like like when they handed off to seek his rookie year.
They won 13 games, and they when Zeke was a guy, and ever since then they try to make Dak Prescott that guy.
They haven't been that same 13 win team ever since they've won.
I believe it has been nine games 10 game at the past.
Let's just going now we have to talk about that, but yeah, overall.
Now I will say, uh, yeah.
Passes what the cowboys live in.
Every year we're winning the Super Bowl.
You can ask Perry on that Z.
94 96 e don't really gotta Here, Over here in Carolina, there's not really a year.
There's a lot of past present future in that one.
I don't really want to go back to that, Uh, a 2003.
Honestly, uh, 40 clock, big fan.
Anyway, speaking of 2003 wall, switch over to my Patriot game real quick.
Um, obviously, yeah, we obviously know that Josh is the biggest Cam Newton.
Apparently since I like Tom Brady, that means I'm not a Patriots fan.
So since you like Cam Newton, you're not a Carolina fan either, anyway.
00 yeah. Oh, yeah.
No, we're going.
We're gonna get into this tomorrow into this Tomorrow.
We're gonna get into it tomorrow.
You gotta gotta feel right now.
We've got to save the No, no, no. We got to save the content.
But listen, you know, Rex Burkhead apparently, is the new Alvin Kamara Christian McCaffrey with three touchdowns today.
It was an unbelievable performance that he had.
Michael is always trying to stir up the pot real quick. No time.
But, you know, Kim had a few good places that he obviously need a really bad interception.
But you know, there was a play where he escaped the Russian the pocket and scrambled for a first down, which is, you know, the Cam Newton that we're kind of used to of old.
The defense showed up.
I was a little scared going into this game.
I I picked the Patriots win this game, but I was definitely a little scared because of Josh Jacobs in the Darren Waller connection.
But Darren Waller was absolutely blanketed the entire game.
I don't think he didn't get a that, too, Darren.
Well, I didn't have a catch until about five minutes in the fourth quarter, so he only had two catches for nine yards.
So that is definitely not the Darren Waller that we saw last week, where he was running up the Saints defense, and then Josh Jacobs, you know, did what he does pretty well.
I believe he had maybe like 70 yards on the ground and then beginning the game, It looked like it was gonna be a very big game for him.
Every single oh, God, who has the feedback that was? May know that was actually alive.
That's trying to share it.
Probably too old for technology.
But, um, where was I? Guy seemed likely making me mess up.
Now, e know, I'm just too boring for everybody else, But listen, they look pretty good.
Uh, yeah, that's what was Josh Jacobs you in the beginning of the game, and he was kind of gashing the Patriots defense.
You know, it looked like it was gonna be a six, you know, or seven yard gain every time he touched the ball.
But the Patriots, you know, quickly kind of shut it down.
And then I think the turning point in the game it was late.
It was in the fourth quarter, I believe.
And the pages were only up by 10.
And there was definitely a chance for them the Raiders to come back.
But I believe it might have been a pun.
It was either a ****ed kick off that the Raiders had at the one yard line.
And then there was a safety that they turned into at first.
They didn't know if it was gonna be safety or just turn over, and then they ended up calling it a touchdown for the Patriots.
So that really put the game out of reach.
But it was definitely a very good all around game.
The offense showed up.
Um, the running backs played a huge role, and obviously, you know, we know the tragic news about James White and his family.
But when he gets back, it's gonna be even better because that, you know, running back room can definitely do a lot of things out of the backfield.
But I was excited when the Patriots drafted to kill Harry.
I finally thought they were gonna get a wide receiver.
He hasn't even shown up.
I don't even know if the Patriots.
No, he's on the team yet.
Um, he's definitely not doing what I thought he was going to Dio and Julie Edelman is doing what he's doing.
He's Superman at the moment.
He's doing absolutely fantastic.
But it was a good all around game for the Patriots, so I don't know we if you like.
I know before we started that you wanted to go.
You want to talk a little bit of fancy.
You could do that real quick before we we had off.
Well, that sounds good.
Does anybody want to add anything about the Patriots game? Real quick.
So, like I, Cam Newton and I rarely pick against them.
Pick the Patriots all three of these weeks So far.
So, uh, I was surprised, though, that they didn't use his legs as much as they have the past couple weeks.
He didn't run the ball nearly as much, but, I mean, he still produce kind of a good game.
Early on the game.
The Raiders Raiders made it very tough for him to throw the ball, forced him out of the pocket and made him made him try to make some tough throws That just turned to that Abram interception and name towards the goal line at the end of the first half.
He made a stupid throw then, but it's Cam Newton.
I knew who was gonna finish the game off.
Strong Raiders defense is not a lot there to hold them, So, uh, yeah, can be someone.
Tell Anthony too.
Well, someone tell Anthony to start believing in his own team's quarterback.
Yeah, believe it.
I mean, I also as you could help with my name Bill Belichick greater than t B 12.
And that's a fact.
And and Bill Belichick showed why.
You know he he is the reason why the Patriots are successful.
He he hasn't can VP Newton and their two and one, and they look just fine without T B 12 and Tampa Bay, T B 12 can have all of us he wants in Tampa.
But all all Bill Bobs he basically called Came was like, Hey, Cam, like a $2 million well, turning into M v P Candidate would be to in one way M v p right now, bro Josh.
Right now, Now, odds wise, he's seventh.
So quit acting like he's the worst seventh.
We're talking about something like in front of them were talking about.
We're talking about Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen like What do you mean? Do you wanna You wanna be in seventh place and things every team that needed a quarterback pass this guy up.
They say they traded the Bears, traded for Nick Foles over signing Cam Newton.
Hey, E did look thio falcons let them thio.
I want to say, Michael, What do you mean by that? Looks like moldy cheese was My impersonation of Bill Belichick was terrible.
Uh, moldy cheese.
Uh, plead the fifth.
Hey, guys, Did you know there's this thing called fantasy football? Let's talk about that a bit.
Shout out to Rex Burkhead.
I started in one of my fantasy leagues, and he gave me almost 35 points.
So, you know, I was like, we're not, You know, I changed my mind.
We're not talking fantasy because I know what you're gonna bring up.
So we're gonna have a show here, guys.
Well, let's let's just let's talk about one thing to Would you believe that I actually offered a trade of Lazard to a team and the guy will not accept it? Wolf? No.
He's He's born to me because he wanted Hopkins.
I ain't giving up Hopkins.
Well, there was more in with it.
It was just those two.
It was a good deal.
He even got hurts in the traders will, because he's down the tithe e.
Hopkins. You listen.
You could pull that off.
I would start calling that bill.
Brian, Let's see here.
Let's actually pull it up because it should be on the chat.
Actually, no, Here's Here's what it was I would have toe Well, he wanted me to You show me what it was. Michael.
I didn't I didn't like it personally.
He wanted me to send Larry Fitzgerald, DeAndre Hopkins and Zach Paschal for Jared Cook.
Devante Freeman Brandon cooks.
Animals are exactly That's not that bad because we don't know what we're getting from Freeman, and he is a cheese lovers s.
Oh, yeah, I declined because I'm not giving up DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald for Ellen Mazar e Larry Fitzgerald is on the bench.
Guarantee he's e.
I know I don't care about Gerald, but it was, but it was DeAndre Hopkins.
I just thought that you actually cared about Green Bay.
But those are the number one If now if I had Davante Adams and there would be a different ball game.
But couples in all I know is I loved my fantasy Day because me being the type of person who goes to sleep at four in the morning every night I didn't really wake up at, you know, the last time you sat my fantasy lineups.
So I was you could have, you know, seeing the shock in my face.
And I realized in my very important money league that Julio Jones was still starting.
So I was a little upset in that one.
And I still somehow managed to score 154 points because I do have Tyler Lockett.
So shout out your three touchdowns.
I have Dalvin, cook, shout out your 184 rushing yards and a touchdown, and I also have keen and out.
So it's looking like I might get the win.
I might get the win.
He's I It's 1 54 toe like 10 no, no.
30 something Right now, I I saw his team today.
Did they lose today? And if so, do they lose to today? You know who you play for? Uh, Anthony, It says you lost.
Well, you were talking about the dining.
Listen, listen, I'm in, like, 10 fantasy leagues.
Well, let's let's talk about our sleeper league.
Uh, Connie Chat is playing.
Who's the moisture than most? Oh, that's me, That's me and a family friendly.
Can't say those words, so I'm gonna have to remove you.
Sorry, What's wrong with that? Hair is moist is good now, like a name.
He got 142 fantasy points where I'm out 1 62 right now.
And still with players playing, I'm projected to get 1 70.9.
Listen, this man is going to score the most points in the league this week.
Probably you want me to be upset about it.
And I had Jared cook on my team who only got four fantasy points.
Let's hear, Let's just check up here.
Jonathan Tailor, 13.
Lizard, who someone passed up on trading before, had 26.
Then Cook had four, and then a Kenyan Drake only had 8.9.
Of course, I did have Robinson for Jacksonville and who got me 30.90.
So I've got a J.
Dobbins left to play, and Derek Carr only got me 13 points in the two quarterback league.
So I mean, I'm kind of happy with that victory.
And I think, uh, more I think about it that really, when it comes to fantasy, call me.
How many leaks did you win this week? Well, let me tell you right now.
Well, if we're talking just us and I might have gone over to Oh, but if we're going, you know, all the round I'm winning in this league.
Is there anyone else in here other than us? N No, I never I've never felt more hatred towards me in my life.
Besides, when Alex and Joshua and the chat together e my own co hosts the biggest hater bro e.
But you never You never shot me up being the support.
You just like e don't know.
I haven't seen any of the support yet.
Then you're just not looking.
Just not like oh, a e 03 am terribly.
Oh, it was It was not a great Michael.
You know what? You want to beat me this week, but guess what? We got the same record there, pal.
So here's the thing I have been I have had bad luck the last the last two weeks, I had to go against Aaron Jones against Detroit, and I had to go up against Alvin Kamara against Green Bay.
So I called bad luck.
The last two weeks I called.
I know you're not much into records because you're a Cowboys fan, so it is usually your thing, but yeah.
Michael, don't listen to a man.
I appreciate e mean, obviously my team grow this week.
Looks like you put a little miracle grow on your team this week, right? Right way.
Michael, you gotta You gotta better record than the boys.
Um e you have the You go ahead, Michael, that you get this last point and I'm gonna go math on it.
And I'm not trying going to do that.
What is it? The reciprocal the opposite of it of the Green Bay record.
You know what that is? That is true.
