I'm here with my man Laurence Owen.
And welcome to sports Caster News NFL Edition.
The Sunday Night Football pregame show.
Ladies and gentlemen, what a day of football.
Just some scores.
Predictable, some unpredictable.
Some of the things going on in the world.
The NFL right now is just crazy.
Before we get into today's stream, let me give you sort of an update on some of the scores going on during today's game and some of the results that we saw.
And as I say that I am freezing out hacking out Lawrence is frozen, Lawrence and my frozen on your end because you're hacking out of mine.
And I think, you know, I see everything fun.
I see and hear everything just fine.
I'm just wondering if it's a me issue right now.
When they go look on SportsCastr.
See how it looks.
According to this, we didn't even connected the SportsCastr yet.
So this is, uh hopefully you guys all see me because I'm just I'm just spinning their We are.
Yeah, yeah, we're on there, and it looks clear his day.
Hello? Can you hear me, Lawrence? Yes.
Disconnected my WiFi and tried to reconnect my wife.
I It looks like we're on the air.
What? How do I look? Everything is fine.
Everything is fine. Everything is good.
Good. Okay, well, we'll go from there.
Well, I was gonna give some updates and some scores.
Oh, there we go.
The website finally loaded eso right now with 13 07 left in the fourth quarter.
Seattle in Dallas 32 28.
Dallas Trying to be another team to battle back.
They were down 32 15 at one point.
Tampa Bay's doing what we thought they were gonna do 20 to 10 over Denver with 3.
56 left in the game.
How about those? Detroit Lions 23 all with 4 49 left in the fourth quarter in Detroit has the football.
Of course you have.
The Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Houston Texans 28 to 21.
Cincinnati and Philadelphia.
Neither team got their first win of the season, tying 23 to 23.
The San Francisco 40 Niners, with nobody on the team, beat the New York Giants with nobody on the team, 36 to 9.
The New England Patriots beat the Las Vegas Raiders, 36 to 20.
Las Vegas second touchdown Coming in garbage time.
Tennessee came all the way back after looking like and Royal Ass kicking against the Minnesota Vikings.
And they win that game 31 to 30.
Predictably, the Cleveland Browns defeat the Washington football team 34 to 20.
All eyes now on Chase Young is he left that game injured.
The Buffalo Bills to the credit to Now what? Now that I've seen it.
A very weak pass interference Call Josh Allen.
No, on the second opportunity makes it happen.
35 to 32 despite allowing L A to score 29 unanswered points.
Chicago came all the way back on the Atlanta Falcons, defeating them 30 to 26 there is now a quarterback controversy of who's gonna be the starting quarterback Nick Foles or mixed Robiskie.
The Carolina Panthers made easy work of the L A Chargers, winning 21 to 16.
The New York Jets defeated the story.
The New York Jets were defeated easily, 36 to 7 by the Indianapolis Colts and of course, on Thursday Night Football, the Miami Dolphins defeated Jacksonville, 31 to 13.
So Lawrence a an interesting slate of games today.
Interesting things happening.
Seattle that does have the football back.
Just so everybody knows with 11 44 left in the fourth quarter, and we'll have to see what happens as we go forward in this game.
But let's talk about what I think could be the most interesting Sunday Night football game of the season.
Possibly the most interesting game of today and the most.
And, you know, and I, in my opinion, more interesting than the well, the heavyweight belt between Baltimore and Kansas City.
Tomorrow night you've got the two and O Green Bay Packers and and Aaron Rodgers, who's playing with what appears to be a chip on his shoulder against a New Orleans Saints team that well looked a little bit suspect of time last week.
And Drew Brees at times looked like a 40 year old quarterback, which I think surprised a lot of people.
Lawrence, Let's start with the New Orleans Saints.
What did you see last week against the Las Vegas Raiders that you think they need to correct for this game today.
I think Breeze needs to find his weapons.
Hey, does have other weapons besides Michael Thomas, right? I mean, he's got guys out there that he could dump the ball off to and use in orderto make plays on the field.
Uh oh, my goodness.
Um, that backup quarterback of theirs, Taysom Hill, who likes to blind up everywhere on the field, had two touches the entire game.
What happened to him? He usually has a few touches all over the field.
And that kind of keeps defense is on the guessing right that that really helps an offense out when the defense don't know where a certain player is gonna be.
At what time? On the field, I I was questioning Sean Payton's decision on how they used him.
Um, Camara became basically the one guy, you know.
It became the Christian McCaffrey of the New Orleans Saints.
And you can't have that.
You've got to be able to spread the ball around, spread the wealth.
That way, a defense can't focus on just one guy.
Okay, now there is.
I don't know if we know for sure yet if what Tae Adams is playing for the Packers.
But if he's not, that seems a very concerning going against what is a very good New Orleans Saints team.
But I'll tell you what I saw last week against the Raiders.
That didn't happen this week against the Patriots.
Um, Tony Romo was expecting the game between the Patriots and the Raiders to be the quickest game of the day, and there was one.
It was one of the slowest of the day.
To be honest with you, it's We are in a situation where the difference between a loose week zone off defense to Amanda Man defense.
It's hard to pick your guys out when your best player, Darren Waller, gets two touches on the day that's going to affect your team.
Last week, I believe the Saints gave Derek Carr all the time.
He wanted to make plays and the A team like the Green Bay Packers, though they have Aaron Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers is not afraid to take what you give them.
You gave it to Derek Carr last week, and he made you pay.
Even if they Vontae Adams doesn't play today.
If you give Aaron Rodgers, he'll take what you give him.
He'll throw to the running back.
He'll throw to the Open guys, the middle, the field.
He will 89 yard you to death and he'll put a little play action and he'll hit you deep.
Something Derek Carr really couldn't do.
Um, I think Sean Payton, on, especially on the defense, needs to make sure his team is playing a tight, aggressive defense.
You can't play week like you played against the Raiders last last week, or it's not just gonna be a loss.
It could just be an embarrassing loss.
Oh, yeah, on the flip side, what do you like about the Saints team heading into this Green Bay game? I actually do like their defense.
Um, they do have a very strong run defense.
And even though Jacobs really ran the ball hard, he didn't have, like, high yards per carry that he just had carried the ball a lot.
I think that really Aaron Rodgers has been kind of leaning on that on that running game over in Green Bay the last couple weeks, uh, to be able to open up to his shots to Davante Adams and another players down the field.
So the Saints can really focus on getting that Runde even Mawr secure.
Oh, then it has been over the past couple of weeks.
I think they really have a They have a shot.
But like you said, you can't just stop it.
Stop in the run.
If you're gonna send five guys to stop that run and Aaron Rodgers decides, you know what, I'm going to keep the football.
Don't back that this guy up.
Keep him going in there after Rodgers, right? You blitz, you blip.
You run bullets first.
But if that ball doesn't go to the running back, you just keep on going.
So, Davante Adams has been officially ruled out for tonight for the Packers, so he will not be playing for the Packers.
Does that change the way the Saints play defense? Or do you think that they need to continue that same the same way I still think? Oh, most definitely you continue to play with pressure, especially without devante Davante Adams is that deep threat for them.
It also means that now they don't The Green Bay really does not have that really special wide receiver.
That you need to make sure you have an over under, uh, defense defensively.
Ah, cornerback under a safety over high.
You don't need tohave that on on a wide receiver out there right now, so you can legitimately send five man blitzes at pretty much at will and just keep good, strong man to man coverage against the rest of the receivers.
And I think that with Adams out, it's going to slow this green bait offense down a bit, especially playing this this New Orleans team now.
I think New Orleans is going to be motivated this week.
This and I think that for Green Bay, you have Thio keep in mind you're not playing.
Excuse me, the Detroit Lions.
You're playing the New Orleans Saints.
Um, now Aaron Rodgers didn't go ballistic last week against Detroit like he did the week before.
He was 18 for 30 for 240 yards, but again, no interceptions, no fumbles to passing touchdowns.
But, well, green bacon run the football a little bit.
You know this Erin Jones fella apparently knows how to carry the ball.
Um, Erin Jones, 18 carries for 168 yards.
Lawrence last week, he averaged 9.
3 yards per carry.
That's unheard of.
I think the Saints need Thio to be successful.
Need to do what they did last week, holding Jacobs to 27 to 88 really holding in, uh, keeping those run yards down because we all know that Matt LaFleur wants to run the football, right? He wants to run the football.
And if it could be successful, that sets up a lot of things for Aaron Rodgers and Aaron.
Rodgers wants to win, so he seems to be buying into winning.
If the runs not working with no Davante Adams.
I fear for this Packers team a little bit, and this could be a saint, and I believe this will be a motivated Saints team.
They know what's being said about them.
They know what happened last week.
Uh, they're not gonna want to repeat, and they're gonna want to prove that they should be where they need to be with Tampa Bay winning again again, that division so tight between the two teams, I think that that's what we're gonna see.
Just a bit of an update here with 58 seconds left.
Detroit still has the football still 23 all 7 35 left in the Dallas Seattle game.
Dallas has the football back and the only other game going his Tampa Bay in Denver.
You know, don't need an update on that.
Let's just call it now.
Tampa Bay wins, um, couple upsets, Bruin, but upsets? I did not expect.
And there was a lot of things that it was a weird day, you know, And I got bogged down watching the Patriots game today, and all of a sudden I started looking at some school.
I wasn't even really reading the group text that we all have a group chat. We all have.
And so I wasn't really getting any updates.
And then all of a sudden I started looking some of the scores and I was like, Whoa, whoa, because I saw the Steelers getting beat up by Houston.
I saw all this stuff happening, and then the comeback start the upset start, You know, my upset.
You know, the Giants turned bad really quickly.
Um, you know, And then as we got into the later games, I was sort of watching Red Zone, flicking around there at the same time trying to watch replays and catch up with the games from the one o'clock games because they were so good.
And now I'm seeing that were just, you know, we're missing some pretty hefty good afternoon games.
So it's Ah, it's a weird, weird day in football today.
It's gonna be interesting what's going on? Just so we know there's 12 seconds left and I'm trying to figure out where.
Detroit It says Detroit has the ball.
I'm trying to find out where they have the ball right now.
Um, m four seconds left.
Now they are current.
Drive Detroit nine play 67 yards.
They must be within field goal range.
If they went in 67 yards, they got to be force.
They probably Yeah, they probably, uh, called a time out with four seconds left yet they just one.
They won the game.
They just kick the field goal 26 23. Here it is.
So Detroit upsets Arizona and goes from Oh, and to toe one and two. Wow.
And I apologize to the 15% that I made fun of today.
Who picked Detroit toe win that game, or was it 7%? I think it was seven.
I'm gonna look now because I think it was 3% that people picked, uh, the Jets.
The Jets? Yeah, And I asked who that crazy 3% waas.
Detroit 5% pick Detroit toe win this game.
5% of viewers on your players on ESPN picked the Detroit Lions.
And what was your score prediction for your game? Do you remember? I didn't have a score prediction, but I said they'd cover the 10 point spread.
I remember saying that, courts, we're gonna win 35 to 10.
And it was 36 to 7.
Yeah, pretty close.
I I didn't given actual score predicts or the spread was 6.
5, and he said he wouldn't take the spread in that game.
He thought it was gonna be tight.
And I said I would take the spread if it was a 10 point spread because of patriots Gonna win by at least 10 points.
And they want Yes, sir.
So it was Yeah, It was an interesting, interesting day.
And I think that, uh, I'm happy.
We're gonna find out if Keith is happy here in just a minute.
Um, Well, in four minutes, 23 seconds, I guess.
There's a lot of ah lot of cool stuff that happened today.
Sorry about that. Real life.
Real life in real life for me this morning.
Real life for you today, right? Yeah, that's right.
You know what? I picked a great one o'clock game to watch.
I'll tell you what.
The Tennessee Titans and the Minnesota Vikings was such a fun game to watch. Live.
Tell us about that game, Lawrence.
Oh, my goodness.
So everyone remembers how Minnesota just looked absolutely terrible.
Gets the Indianapolis Colts last week.
And everybody picked, you know, picking the Titans to just completely come in and just dominate this game.
And Minnesota look like the Minnesota of last year.
And they were out there making big play after big play after big play.
Um, I think, uh, we'll see.
I think cook ended up with something like eight yards a carry.
Uh, Justin Jefferson had, like, 120 some yards receiving or something.
150 yards receiving something like that.
Um, cousins looked really good throwing the football, but Tennessee, I mean, it came down to the wire in Tennessee, kicked a field goal at the last few moments, toe win the game.
It was a very fun game to watch from beginning to end.
I actually thought Minnesota was gonna have the upset going into the fourth quarter.
Yeah, I thought they were gonna have it, too.
I mean, I didn't see the game, but I was looking at that score going.
Who? How did Tennessee pull that off? Yeah, Good defense of Stand in the end.
And, Henry, you know, Henry and Tannehill actually played very well.
They were very, um, just productive.
You know that your your chunk five yard carries your six yard carries your little quick over the middle's with Tannehill toe, tight ends and receivers.
Um, they just They just kept the chains moving in the fourth quarter rather than, um, ending up half in the punch.
And that's that's how they did it.
They figured out the offense, figured out the Vikings defense a little bit and was able to continuously move the chains, whereas on the flip side, Tennessee was ableto kind of cracked down a little bit on, um, the pass Is there a the end a month? So just update everybody here.
We have a 2nd and 13 for Dallas on the Seattle 24 yard line, and Dak Prescott is going to come out of the shotgun here and pass it.
It's going and it's incomplete.
So Dallas is pushing the air and fuel goal range to take a one point lead.
And the way things were going, if they don't pick up the first down here, all you're going to give Russell Wilson about three minutes.
I mean, that's an eternity in the NFL.
I watched the Las Vegas Raiders score a touchdown in 34 seconds against the New England Patriots toe end out the first half today, so it happens that you can score quick in this league three minutes.
I always think when you are trying to drive toe win a game is the most difficult number because you can clear a field in a minute and a half and you don't want to give a minute and a half to the other team to come back.
But at the same time.
I remember, um, listening to an interview with Tom Brady after they came back against the Atlanta Falcons.
And they said, you know, were you trying? Were you worried about the clock where you're trying? Because, you know, you get the ball back with a minute left? Were you trying? And Brady is like, we're just We wanted to score, you know? Yeah.
We don't want to give it back, but we want to score.
Like and you if you had the opportunity to score, you score.
And Dak just missed a throw in the end zone, so it looks like they're gonna be lined up for a field goal, but yeah, man.
So the Texan or the rate Earth hold, I'll call this field goal for everybody.
It's a 42 yard attempt on the right hash.
The snap looks good to kick, is up to kick is right down the middle.
And with three minutes and 59 seconds, the Dallas Cowboys take the lead, 31 to 30 and they're gonna be kicking the ball back to Russell Wilson and the Seattle offense.
I have a question for you? Yes, sir.
Stephen Gostkowski was five for five from field goal range today and kick multiple kicks beyond 45 yards.
What did Kostovski signed for? Uh, probably Peanut.
Look, because we were talking about this the other day on my show, Stephen Gostkowski, Because the kicking situation is not good in New England right now.
And we were sitting there is talking about why did they get rid of Stephen Gostkowski? And the Onley thing that came to mind is, Hold on.
One year, two and three quarter million dollars with a capital 2.
On Lee. Yeah, only five.
Well, 500,000 guaranteed it. Signing.
Yeah, it's it's sorry.
And advertising just blared in my year.
Um, yeah, but still, it's still a $2.
5 million debt or cap hit.
I don't think the Patriots could afford that.
That's what we were talking about the other day.
Um, you know, and we're trying, But let's not forget that after the draft, the Patriots didn't have enough money to sign their draft picks, right? Like they had, they had to move some money around in order to to be able to sign their draft picks.
They were broke.
They had $20 million in dead cap.
You know, with 13 million of that coming off of Tom Brady s O, that was our thing because we looked at and said Yes.
Kostovski has struggled the last couple of years more than he has in the past.
But, I mean, he was a better option than Nick folk.
You know, Um, I also think the patriot, the kicking, the thing is, is the kickers were actually very strong in this year's draft.
Again, Rodrigo Blankenship should be the kicker for the Patriots.
But he missed a kick today, and that's the book on him is that he can, he can.
He can be a little bit inaccurate, but we used, I think, 1/5 round pick to get this Rawson, Wasser or whatever his name is.
And he's on the practice squad and we've got Nick folk who we don't trust past 35 yards.
You know, like God forbid the Patriots get into a situation where it comes down to a 45 yard field goal.
I don't trust them to make it and I'll tell you, Here's the thing they did today.
Now it all became nothing, cause the Patriots Strip sacked Derek Carr in the end zone and got a touchdown.
But the Patriots scored a touchdown with about seven minutes left in the game, and Nick Folk missed the extra point, which kept the game a two score game and not a three score game with three score game with seven minutes left.
I could go walk my dog. The game is over.
I feel happy and healthy and life is great.
A two score game with seven minutes.
That's an eternity you could very easily score caused Force a three and out and score again.
We saw New England almost do it to Seattle last week.
His missed extra point was the difference between a three score game and a two score game and that zits becoming a problem.
It's becoming a problem here in New England and I'm sure that Belichick probably wishes he had his money before people like Kostovski signed and all that other stuff happened.
But who knows what it is? Um, So what's your score prediction for tonight, Lawrence? Oh, uh, I'm actually expecting a kind of a defensive game.
You know, I'm not expecting either team to really get too much over 300 yards offense.
I could see I could see a close one, actually, 21 17 maybe.
Don't know exactly which one is it? I'm gonna lean towards New Orleans just because Aaron Rodgers his his receiver Adams is out.
Now Rogers is still Rogers.
He's still gonna find ways to get the ball out to other people.
But I I think this is a This is a comeback game for New Orleans.
Is Michael Thomas ruled out for tonight? Well done.
Now let's look here saying looking.
They got Jared Cook trick, Juan Smith, Emmanuel Sanders and obviously Taysom Hill.
So that's my concern.
Is can they make the adjustments that need to be made and try to find somebody outside of Michael Thomas? Because they couldn't last week? Uh, the game can't run through Camara.
Yeah, I mean, it can't.
It showed last week.
What? 200 yards and rushing last week and it resulted in a loss.
They need to open up.
They need to get the ball out to other people.
Um, I like Aaron Rodgers right now.
He seems like a man possessed that Green Bay defense ain't too shabby.
I'm gonna actually go 24 to 17 and I'm going in favor of the Green Bay Packers.
It's fair enough I could see it going either way, But I'm gonna I'm gonna go with my saints, okay? Just because I feel like this is a game that they really want toe win and need toe win, or they're gonna end up falling behind in the division.
Can I just point out that Russell Wilson is on another four touchdown game like we could? We could see the touchdown record broke this year like we're Week three.
What does that 45 and four? Oh, something like I know that Russell Wilson.
If if If he is that your m v p for the NFL right now, you ain't watching football? No, Somebody is down for Seattle right now.
It looks like Carson.
Carson's down for Seattle.
They're already over the 50 yard line of Dallas.
By the way, all they didn't do is kick a field goal.
When it's over, there's still time to kill.
In that clock, though, there's still like 3 14 and they moved.
They move up the field fast here, but losing Carson would be a hit for for Seattle.
Their run game is already uh, no Carson not running back. Yes, he is.
No, Carson's out there running back, is he? Yes, he is.
The running game is already an issue in Seattle, and Carson gives you the best chance toe to run that football.
And if he's out and there's Ah, there's a lot of trainers lying around him right now, it doesn't look good.
You know what? You know when you know it's bad when all the players on the field with their helmets off, like you know this? Yeah, this'd isn't just guys. Yeah.
Now they've cut to commercial.
This isn't just guys a guy getting treated and guys getting ready to play.
Everybody looks concerned right now, which is too bad.
Now I want to talk a little bit about Greg Olsen.
What has been your thoughts on Greg Olsen this season? I know you're not following the saints the way you follow the colds, but I know you're aware of things that have happened with them.
What's your overall thoughts with Greg Olsen? Because there is a lot of people that thought he should have just called it a career after Carolina.
Um, you know, in him, I guess.
What did they say? Decided they mutually decided to cut ties.
And there was a lot of Patriot fans who believed Lawrence that perhaps New England should have went after him.
They were in desperate need of a tight end, and my thing wise is we just got away from untold beat up tight end.
The last thing we need is another old beat up tight end, but he goes to Seattle Hmm, and he's got four catches for 24 yards.
He's a reliable target, right? You throw him the football, he's going to catch it, you know, like, kind of like Jason Witten still out there, right? I mean, he's been playing well.
Is he good? Break one on anyone know, but he's gonna effectively run block for you and he'll be a reliable target if someone forgets that he's on the field.
And so I they didn't see.
He is four for 50 today.
E mean, that's not bad for a tight.
That's not bad for another broken down tight end right away.
Now, if you could still produce and help a team win.
Keep playing. I mean, Suggs.
Suggs doing it For how long? A zoo? A defense defender.
I ain't never seen a year.
We got 1/4 and three with to 37 left.
Yeah, seven at the 47.
Even if you know, let me call it.
Russell Wilson is in the shotgun.
Bye bye. Locket.
Look at that to Greg Olsen.
Who do you go to in that situation? You go to Greg Olsen.
Oh, this is this is gonna come down to the wire, go to the guy you know is going to catch the football.
And they are going to run a play before the two minute warning.
I thought at this point they'd let it run down to the two minute start.
Back up, running back, get seven yards.
Yeah, right guard.
Ran the football.
Two or seven laughed.
Carol is trying to get them in tow.
Carol is trying to get into the line.
I don't understand why.
Um, they're they're now they're gonna go into the two minute warning.
I mean, for me, it's at this point or you're not trying to kill as much clock is you can You're in field goal.
Range of field goal wins it.
Why give Dallas a minute and a half? Well, if you score a touchdown, then you force them to score a touchdown, then it's different.
But for me, it's now you're going for the win.
Now it's It's try to get the wind.
Well, two minutes left in Dallas, I don't think any of us We don't think we expected this game to be a blowout, either.
Which way but two weeks in a row. Now, this game.
I got to say something, OK, and this is where I'm concerned about Seattle, and I'll tell you the truth.
And this is why I'm now now starting to Lena's.
Maybe they're not the best team in the league.
Okay, Yes, Russell Wilson could come down here and lead them to a game winning score.
This is two weeks in a row that they've had a two score advantage of going in, you know, in the fourth quarter.
They're trailing now.
They almost lost the game last week.
When you think about it, if Cam Newton scores and they don't score now, this team could very much be one and two instead of on their way to being three.
And oh, that, you know, Is this a situation of just coincidence? Or is this well, Seattle, at some point, can this come back for me? It's like you can't sustain this kind of thing.
You can't keep blowing leads at some point you have to close out of football game.
Well, I mean, they're blowing.
They're doing that against really good teams.
Uh, if they go up against ah, Carolina or something and they don't just, you know, put a foot down on the throat in the fourth quarter, then I would say, start worrying.
But when you're having close games against really good teams that have been there and done that and know how to handle themselves, you know, then I wouldn't really I really wouldn't worry too much.
I mean, Dallas Dallas is a talented team, you know? So is this possibly more of a situation that we need to see them play a bad team to really get a read on them.
How weird is that to say? But I think so.
Because normally we talk about these measuring stick games, right? Like the Rams and the Bills were a measuring stick game today.
And now it's like, Okay, we need we need to Seattle to play a bad team and just absolutely dominate them.
Because if they don't or they allow the other team to come back, it's gonna be, uh So let's talk a little bit about those bills and rams.
Yeah, because no, because it was a measuring stick game, right? I'm trying to kill time, Lawrence, but I want I want us to be on air ones.
No, but it was It was a bit of a measuring stick game, right? It really waas I mean, you can't see the jets and the call.
It was a measuring stick game for the colds, But this was a measuring stick game for these two teams.
So you have the bills, you come into this early lead, then they blow it.
Then you have Josh Allen and I get weak.
Pass interference game could have been over your right, but good players take advantage of breaks, and he took advantage of the break and scored the touchdown. Joe.
So, um, my thing is, did we learn anything about these two teams this week? Or will we get Mawr out of Buffalo next week when they play the Raiders, who the Patriots just played to maybe try to make a comparison? Well, look what? Okay? First off about Josh Allen.
He still had to get the team, drive the team down the field to be in that position in the first place.
And it takes someone with solid character and the will to win in order to do that and not turn the ball over, because, I mean, that's a very high pressure situation.
So for Alan to even get there, let alone with the, you know, the P I call blah blah.
Who cares? Because he got him there in the first place.
So, um, you really have to look at what Josh Allen has done this year and be like, you know what? Just like from his rookie year to a sop****re year, he made a big jump.
He's made some improvements in his third touchdown. Seattle.
I told you as long as they score a touchdown, that's what they'll be going for a touchdown to.
Guess who? The freak D K.
Metcalf that looks like about a 25 yard passers.
So they're going for two.
That's five, right? That's a five point lead.
Going five touchdowns now for him.
Yeah, they're up by five and it's a five touchdowns for Russell Wilson. Unbelievable.
Just a beautiful arch.
Just felt I mean 14 touchdowns in three games.
Yeah, DK Matt Calf beat his defender, but, I mean, that just fell into his hands when you got a quarterback who could just arch it, man, he didn't even have to try.
He just had to put his hands out and they fell right in.
So this will be the big one Now.
If Seattle doesn't get the two pointer here, then Dallas has a chance to score just a touchdown.
They don't even need the extra point win this game.
Russell Wilson's gonna go out of the Oh, Seattle was forced to take a time out.
The clock ran down here, everyone.
No, I get it now.
I'll tell you a couple of my concerns about.
I saw about Josh Allen and I didn't watch the game.
I watched the 14 minute highlight package or whatever, so I was only really seen the big plays of the game.
So but that final drive, first of all, hold on.
First of all, he fumbled the football again today on, you know, and that was brutal.
The worst part about that, too, was was that was back to back sacks.
Now it was Aaron Donald, best guy in the game, but Josh Allen was even prepared for it, You know what I mean? Like, he got caught by surprise twice a pressure coming right up the middle.
You can't not see the pressure coming up the middle of the quarterback.
You can't be stripped by a nose tackle.
You what? I mean, like, if you're gonna get stripped, you get stripped from the left.
You get stripped from the right, you get stripped from the blind side.
You don't see the guy coming normally on a strip sack.
It's the quarterback is back talking the football, his The ball was in his hand and he got strip sacked by by Aaron Donald.
It's unacceptable in my mind.
Okay. Something happened here. Hold on.
So I think they call the pass interference.
Olsen got tripped up on what looked like an uncatchable football to me.
So I guess still get a second shot at a two point convert.
Uh, andan on that final drive, he took a bad sack that put him like a 3rd and 25.
Now, he got the first down and he almost fumbled the football again.
He bobbled it, and he just happened toe to re secure it.
And if he wouldn't have bobbled the football, he actually would have thrown it away.
Never would have taken the sack.
So there's still I call it the Josh Allen Effect.
You know what I mean? Like, he still does thes things where you're like, Dude, that didn't cost you this game.
But that could cost you the next game.
And I think that when you have a quarterback who can cost you a game, I'm still concerned.
And you know what man I've been throw to? They got it.
They picked it up to Hollister, gets the two point convert dollars a gallon, or Seattle goes up seven points with a minute, 47 left in the game Chase.
This is a good game, but that's my concern.
Is Josh Allen could cost them a game this year? Oh, yeah.
I mean, but most quarterbacks can cost somebody a game, but what I mean is the mistakes he made hasn't hurt the team yet.
But if they continue story, not he, they could.
He will cost the team a game.
You can't keep making these mistakes.
You will cost your team again.
How? How often, though.
Here's another question with what he does.
Really, Really Well, how many games can you put it on him to say, Hey, you know what? They've been in a game worth one a game because of what he's done? Oh, no.
I completely understand what you're saying.
Yeah, there's kind of a given take.
Their there is, But you can't keep fumbling the football, you know, like his interception.
I don't know if you saw his interception he threw.
I don't even know how that was an interception.
The guy caught the ball, went to the ground.
It looked like he stripped it out of his hands when he was on the ground. They called interception.
I don't That was probably the worst call the year.
Just so you know, like that was I hated that call.
I don't know how that was an interception, so I'm not gonna put the interception on him.
Even if it was a clean interception, his guy caught the football.
You know what I mean? I'm not gonna put it on Josh Allen, but I'm gonna put that fumble on him.
Yes, your offensive line got blown up.
But you know, the guy coming up the middle took the football from you.
That can't happen.
Well, like I've said before and many, many times in a 43 defense, the defense of tackle is the most dangerous man on the field.
I mean, that's why the Colts gave up a first round pick Pressure up the middle.
It's so scary, Thio, any quarterback.
But wouldn't your natural instinct be to protect the football like, is this an experience or get rid of quickly either, Or like how many times you can't take? He's taking, like, 12 yards sacks like he's not even taking, like, you know where.
He's just going down like I saw Cam Newton today.
Pressure came right up the middle.
He went right down.
He knew he was getting sacked.
It's like any kind of dough forward, like I'm also a veteran.
He's been there, he's done that. He knows it.
You know Josh is starting his third year.
I understand it's his third year.
He should be knowing this by now.
But at the same time, when you're one of those guys that just don't want to give up and you know and believe that you can win every there's a way toe win, every play, Uh, you don't learn that.
Hey, sometimes you just need to take the loss on that one.
Play until a certain point in your career.
I don't think Josh Allen has reached that point yet.
Maybe you're right, but I think he should have reached that point by now.
No, probably probably usually usually by your sometime in your third year.
I think quarterbacks generally start to realize that.
Yeah, and I think you know, again, I know every quarterback and cost you a game. Absolutely.
Can Cam Newton can Philip Rivers can cost you game, but I think you look a Josh.
I don't look at the Philip Rivers and think he's going to cost the call.
It's a game, you know what I mean? I look at at Josh Allen, and you know, I want Josh Allen to succeed.
I've always said I think he's better than Sam. Donald.
I always said, You know, I've said all these things, but it's like I watched him today and I was like, One day you're going to cost this team a game And Dallas is moving the football.
Ladies and gentlemen, like if you thought this game was over, this game is not over.
Dallas is moving the football there at the 49 there, at their own 49 yard line with a minute.
11 a minute, 11 left, second and eight.
They have all three timeouts.
Are you watching this game, Lawrence? So you just know I'm right at the No, I'm not watching it.
I got Yeah, I got the live stats going and there's a throw, and they're gonna Oh, it's gonna bring up third down.
Caught by Amari Cooper.
I think it's time to take a time out here in McCarthy You're only at the 50 57 seconds left.
Prescott going No.
Huddle in the shotgun.
There's confusion on the top of the wide receiver list.
They don't know what to do.
This could be a problem for Dallas here.
He throws the football cut for a first down of the 40.
Okay, so, Zeke Elliot only has 14 carries for 34 yards in this game.
You know how that Prescott has thrown the ball well over 50 times this game.
Now, could this be the They've been trailing, though, right? So I don't think they've had that happens a lot with Palace.
But then again, to be fair, uh, see, Russell's got, what, 40 attempts this game? Yeah.
27 for 4315 yards, five touchdowns.
Just got a quarterback rating.
That Prescott has got a 103 So you got two quarterbacks with 100 ratings.
You know, it's a good game when you see that.
We got 43 seconds left in this game.
Dallas has the football in Seattle territory at the 39 yard line.
They have any timeouts left? I can't see.
They got two timeouts left.
They just took their first one.
Completes the pass and they're going to get down to about the 31 yard line, not taking their time out on No.
Now they're taking their time out.
They ran up to the line.
I'm like you have to catch by Ezekiel Elliott.
I mean, this is just drama, drama drama, and again, this is the Seattle team.
You're doing it again.
You know what I mean? Like again, It's not sustainable.
Your defense has to make a stop here.
You can't let teams march on you.
I know it's good teams, and it's funny, cause I think you're right.
We need to see what happens when they play a bad team because it's it's just not been sustainable play.
And the whole thing is, even if it's like, well, it's been good teams.
When you get to the playoffs, you're gonna play good teams.
It was like Kansas City.
You can It's not sustainable.
Next playoffs to be down by 20 points again, every game or temple, a Kansas City will argue the point with you, they seem to do that every week.
Second into Prescott in the shotgun, Elliot out to his left, full list of receivers.
There, Prescott in trouble, dumps it off to Elliot.
There's a flag on the play with 28 seconds left.
I wonder if that's gonna back up Seattle or back up the backup. Dallas.
Now, what do you do if you're Seattle here? Do you let him go for third and two or you back them up and give him another shot at second down? Oh, no, no.
At this time, you wanna put us much distance between them and the end zone as you can.
You back him up.
Ineligible receiver downfield.
That's what. A five yarder? Yeah.
See, I always wonder that sometimes it's like, Man, do you want to give them the down? First down, it's a first down.
So right now, another penalty second and seven with 31 seconds as Lawrence.
So he told his a penalty on the play.
I'll tell you what happened here.
Prescott in the shotgun.
I don't see Oh, I see a hole there.
Illegal use of hands.
Yeah, two guys just attacked.
I can't see who they attacked the attack.
Somebody on Seattle.
They hit him high.
No, that would have brought him down to the 20 yard line.
And that had by the time they made that play.
Oh, it's on Seattle.
Oh, I thought that was gonna be on Dallas.
It's on Mawr of Seattle.
Illegal use of hands to the face because five yards automatic First down.
Oh, see, from the when I from a live shot, it looked like they came in and put a head to head.
The other linemen came in and put a head to head on him.
Oh, wow. So they are now on the 22.
Prescott in the shotgun, pointed down the field over the top catch made incomplete.
Probably better that Wilson dropped that ball.
That only would have got him three yards and that would have had to kill their last time out.
Oh, what do you do here? You got one time.
I was 22 seconds.
I think you try.
You have to get a 10 yard chunk play here and then two or three shots of the end zone.
That would be my view I would put I will try to get to about You don't want to put yourself out of room.
Oh, I'm gonna shut up.
Prescott in the shotgun.
Ouch! And he goes down, and now they're gonna have to take their third time out.
He goes down on a sack.
That's gonna bring up third down.
No timeouts. Laugh.
That's gonna have to mean two shots to the end zone now.
Or one quick shot to a sideline somewhere.
Yeah, actually, 16.
You could still go over the middle seconds and spike the ball.
I wouldn't take that shot.
I if if If if if someone's not open around or just beyond the goal line, I would take a shot at somebody along the sideline.
Yeah, but that just made life back.
You can't take that sack, man.
You can't take that.
And I again Lawrence, that's to me.
The difference between a $30 million quarterback in a $40 million quarterback.
Tom Brady is not taking the sack in that situation.
He's getting rid of that football game's over.
Lawrence already told his game is over.
Another sack the Prescott.
Prescott stays on his feet.
Let's get intercepted.
Intercepted in the end zone.
I mean, Prescott was dead to the water there.
Got out of it like I mean, dead to the water.
He almost should have taken the sack.
After you see that result there, Onda Richard Sherman lookalike picks up the, uh interception and Dallas falls to Seattle and again, Lawrence, I'm gonna say it.
Just like the Patriot game last week.
Yeah, that's exactly what it was.
They survived a couple of bad sack.
Ah, bad penalty by Dallas And this game could have been a lot different.
All right, so the Seattle Seahawks win.
Lawrence and I went forties or fifties.
16 longest, three minutes I've had in a long time, 16 minutes over.
