Ladies and gentlemen, we are live.
I am about to drop the link, Um, for the live conversation.
It is officially in the comment section.
If you would like to join the show, all you need to do is click on that link.
We don't want anybody who's coming in just to chill and hang out.
We're trying to talk football.
I wanna know what you think about the team.
I want you to ask questions.
I want you to be interactive.
If you want to join the conversation? If not, I could definitely do all the talking.
It's all good, but I'm gonna keep dropping the link.
If you want to come through and talk, we can do that.
Somebody already as should have played to a in garbage time.
Um, I would have loved to have seen that, but at the same token, it's fits his game.
You know, in the NFL is hard to determine what garbage time is.
It is really hard to actually determine what what constitutes garbage time.
Hold on. YouTube rejected your comment.
This is fairly common.
Hold on, y'all give me a second.
He didn't drop the link.
You give me one second.
All right, Let me put it over here.
E don't know why he rejected it, missy.
Alright, there goes the link.
Sorry about that.
I don't know what went down, but there's the link.
The link was just dropped, but in the NFL is hard to determine what garbage time actually is.
Alright, so and then we have some stalled drives and they were moving the ball in the short amount of time, so there wasn't really any garbage time and then on top of it when we start running the ball to seal the game and all of that, you don't want to disrespect the team and just bring to out.
It's irrelevant at that point, if you know what I mean.
Let to learn as much as he can from the Harvard man.
Um, that's just a statement that I personally disagree with there.
I don't think there is much that, too.
We can learn from fit.
Okay, Fitz is who he is.
Um, they have two different games.
By the way, you'll have to also understand that they have two different styles of play, you know, two.
And then at the same token, everything that fits does.
Even at this point in his career, I think two is gonna be better at two.
Is gonna be, um, or accurate quarterback who places it on the run.
Um, the only question is the tool will make all the right decisions scrambling and getting out of the pocket like Fitzpatrick.
So that's something that maybe he can learn from, but we got Donald rocking with a decision Script.
Hold on just a moment now. You're good, man.
I'm I'm answer this other question I get Gaskins is doing really good, but I think if Rita gets a chance, he'll run all over people with that speed.
I don't doubt that, Joseph.
I don't doubt what you're saying, but it's not about that.
You have to number one, Show it in practice, which Gaskins has showed.
A breeder obviously hasn't as much.
And then even if you get limited reps in the game, you gotta be able to show it.
Then again, the Miami Dolphins do not run a running back.
Who is gonna be one yard to yard negative to negative four and then break out of 30 because we put before we break out.
The Miami Dolphins don't want that.
They want a consistent back who's gonna be productive on every down.
And that's what Gaskins has pretty much been.
So I I agree with you that braider can definitely get out, But at the end of the day, talk is cheap.
You know, you started.
You said you started your but with I think I think that too.
But talk is cheap.
He has to go out and show it possession at the possession.
And you know what? He's not on a consistent basis, but yes, yes, sir, if I can add to what you're saying, The one thing that I think that is underrated about Gaskins is this.
Even on the first hit, he doesn't go down and to me once that first initial contact is avoided or either plowed through, then you can Onley go positive from there.
I don't know how many times Gaskins were hit was hit at the line of scrimmage or even behind it, and after the first contact, he bounced off either with straight ahead or got more yardage than was anticipated.
Especially that the way he sealed the game, that was just beautiful.
You're running back. Exactly.
He caps it off with a 15 yard run.
And then Joseph also added Donald, just now that I get it, he's really showing promise.
But he's kind of small, kind of worried.
He's gonna get hurt if he's not careful.
No, I mean, I don't think we have any concerns about that.
If he gets hurt, he gets hurt.
But this is the NFL.
You go all out and whatever happens happens.
You don't play hoping that you don't play to minimize the players.
Exposure of injury.
Nobody does that.
No, no team except us when it comes to two.
Or maybe I don't know what's going on with that.
But you know, no one really cares much about that.
What's up, Ronnie? Panel? What's going on? What's going on, man? It is up to you.
What's your thoughts, man? Ah, man, Dude, it's good to see a team that actually can throw touchdowns again, man.
Like, I mean, it's been so long because I've been watching the fin since 2000.
I started watching.
I haven't missed a game since about 2005 and I've seen when they had a dominant defense and they had no offense on then I've seen when they had, like, good offense and good defense when they had Pennington, Chad Pennington and then for like, many years now it's like they just didn't care about the offense.
Likas faras the offensive line.
They didn't address issues that were very obvious on then.
You know you had Tannehill who who always show promise, and then they you know when he had a healthy line like the three games he had him, you know, It showed really good promise, showing that we could do something and then get rid of Tannehill.
And then you get Fitzpatrick and you're like, around.
Let's see what this guy could do.
And then you got five games last season where it was like this guy is fun to watch.
And then he showed it These last two games, he showed us like there's a lot of promise for this team because if he could if he could get his brain inside, too, within with the skill set, that too, has Oh, man, this team is gonna be fun to watch for years to come, man.
We need to get some more more pass rushers like they showed a little bit last night.
But I want to see more of that, you know, pass rushing and stuff.
I agree, man, This on offense in the passing game has really been explosive, and I think we could and he only had 160 yards.
But it still feels very explosive gasket because Gaskins is providing the balance that every time we catch a ball.
It seems like it doesn't feel like fits had a 350 yard game.
Oh, man, I would even look at the numbers because the way he played was phenomenal, like it was the 90.
But I mean, the the completion is what I would be looking at because he made the right place at the right time.
There was just one thing that I question is when he took that sack.
But I'm like, I think he did it for time or he thought he could have made the guy.
But that's the only question I would have on that game because other than that, he ran perfectly when he needed to.
It was like, Dang, that's what I'm talking about Fitzpatrick eso fund of what many great decisions? E.
But doesn't it feel like he threw for 350 yards on? He only passed for 160.
That's what you call efficiency when it feels like he threw for 3 50 but he only did 1 60.
It's crazy and I'm telling y'all it would.
A lot of people don't realize Gaskins is the individual to credit for a lot of that.
He kept the balance that made it feel like moving down the field was easy.
We must be throwing the heck out of the ball.
But a lot of those plays were running plays and even the around by Jack Keane Grant real quick before I go to you, Donald, I want to let everyone know.
Um, this is the sixth or seventh stream today, and I know that YouTube doesn't send the notifications after the third one, But today they haven't sent notifications just about it all.
But I don't know what's going on.
I hate when this happens.
It usually takes, like, a week before they start acting right for me.
But they didn't send any notifications at all, man.
So y'all bear with us.
I'm gonna still be going live.
So y'all check the channel from fresh new videos.
But if you haven't seen the videos earlier, please go check about, um, there's some good videos.
I like him release, but I want to continue to drop the link as us gentlemen continue to have a conversation.
If there's any ladies out there, they want to join the conversation.
Please come through as well, right? You're on your cell phone.
If you could turn into the side for landscape, it'll give a better view.
Appreciate your homie.
You say, Hey, TV something that I wanna just chime in That is conducive.
Thio fits his, uh, consistency throwing the ball as well as Gaskins running the ball.
We got some dogs on that lying man.
That offensive line.
Austin Jackson and Solomon Kinley play.
They do not play like rookies.
Those two gentlemen, they remind me a Richmond well, in Sims in the day with Marino, they really do.
And I'm telling you, when I saw Jackson stand up two miles Jack the way that he did, even with his hand and he was like, it was like All right, Young Philip e only called one way.
Oh, my goodness.
Yeah, but let me tell you something.
I like to grit, though.
Even even the plane they gave him a personal foul.
Yeah, they got it one way on that, because the guy was grabbing them all in his face mask, so he power drive him to the ground and basically gave him a little, uh, extra and they called the the personal foul, but I wouldnt mad about it.
I was mad about it, man.
Sometimes you gotta listen, getting your point across, crosses the line some of the time and cross it with pride, man.
And he does it the right way.
Hey, London, B G.
I see you backstage, but we gotta be able to see you to bring you on, bro, because I've been burned before with people coming on without being able to see him.
And then they put some ridiculousness on the screen.
Uh, it was worth a TV.
That was a 15 yard penalty that was worth it, because it is setting the tone for our old line going forward and we have to get now we have to start winning not only this upcoming game against Seattle in nine days, but we also have to get back into the division on because that's the thing about thes three games that we've played thus far.
The first two were division games were oh, in two in the division.
So now we know we got to play the jets later on, but at the same time, we still gotta play them same Patsy's and Buffalo, and I've been watching the fiend since 1969.
I remember when the patsies were the Boston Patsy's.
They weren't no New England.
They were Boston.
That's how long I've been watching this team.
And I'm telling you mhm Don Shula the way he started, this team is started from the inside out.
You had to get your old line and your D lines together before you begin to do anything else.
And right now I am very surprised, especially with no training camp or anything else.
Our old line is actually ahead of our defense.
We gotta keep in mind that Boyer is on Lee, playing Ah, court are calling his third game as a D.
So I'm That's the reason why I can give him a pass somewhat, but I want to see Flores when things aren't going right, go to him and help correcting because teaching has to be on the job.
It's gotta be Hey, look, you gotta call this now, so to help him to get better at the cause.
And I think right now this was a good win for the fans, but we would learn a lot about our team come next Sunday.
I agree, man, before I get to your bone is if you're on a cell phone if you turn it to the side and put it in landscape mode or to give a better picture for us, bro.
Um, but y'all hit that like button so we could bring more people in the building.
The more the more you all hit the like button, more people will be able to bring in.
Shout out to my brother Sees a vein in the building.
Man, I appreciate your rocket letters, homey.
Bonus brought to its man.
Well, im talk to the bone ass bones.
Bones were doing good.
Keep saying boat. This boat.
You correct me? Where? I'm wrong.
Acknowledge me. What? I'm right.
I always said what? You've been saying it for a long time.
No TV, uh, that when they start clicking, they're gonna start clicking on.
All I could say is, all I could say is, and I'm just keep it, Really? You know, when everybody was talking about blockage, I said Gaskins was gonna be mad.
I said that You know what I'm saying? And he probably turning out to be the man.
I thought he was gonna be shocked when he comes.
You wanted a few people that saw that.
Yeah, I can honestly say, Long as they keep, they keep knowing.
They keep knowing them.
Kinda receivers chest and let him play, man like man's own.
Everything will be alright, man Offenses clicking defense.
They started clicking at it.
Uh, I say in the fourth quarter, like the boys start, I don't know what they was doing on that defense line, but when they started switching people in Yeah, man, man, man, What's his name? Van Ginkel.
Giggle game with game, too.
They need to put Zala and more.
Man, you that fool rush up in the middle, Man, some of these guys, man, I would love to see them make even more of a name for themselves, but I think that they have the right snap count.
I think, actually, they're still figuring out the right snap count on the defense inside of the ball and went to play certain players in and and I think they did a good job.
See, that's something I will give the defensive coordinator a big ups to I think they did a good job managing who was in and when they were in on the defensive line in that game because some of those fresh legs came in and provided a spark in key situations when you thought your big name God would be in but it end up being Zeiler.
It end up being Van Geico in those type of guys, man.
But I wanna I wanna **** this conversation, Thio 10 days from now, nine days from now.
If Byron Jones is healthy, you know, this is gonna be a really test for the Miami Dolphins, not saying we're gonna win.
And I'm also not saying we're gonna lose, but when you really evaluate the game that we have coming up, we have 10 days to prepare for Seattle team who is about to go toe war.
Okay with the Dallas Cowboys.
Very physical game. That should be.
And they'll be traveling to Miami Coast, the coast.
So they're gonna have a limited amount of time to actually prepare for us.
Because, you know, after Sunday, they're gonna have their Monday off.
They're gonna prepare Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
They're gonna travel Saturday in short week for them.
It's almost like playing a Thursday night game to some regards because they gotta come across the pond.
But actually to be fair, they might even travel Friday because they got to come across OK, The country, Um, they have, ah, good defense.
They have a good offense.
They have a defense that's going to give us a test on that old line and they have a defense that I mean, they have an offense that's going to test our secondary and the line, and this is the test that you need if you're the Miami Dolphins being one and two because I'm not going to say that we're going to win the game.
But a victory by Miami against Seattle you'll tell me if I'm off base is here.
Hey, that thing this team has the potential to still win 10 11 games.
We beat Seattle.
Everybody gonna be scared and you already see.
And then you have San Francisco with their injuries situation right behind it.
Look, man, I'm I can't wait to play San Francisco.
I go through it with my cousin that work everything all day.
What the Oh, what do you think about the Seattle matchup, though.
What? Like I know it's early and we'll get to that next week.
But that's Seattle matchup, man at home, might I add, Go ahead.
Well, you know what TV? What? What I would say is this.
I think this is setting us up for something in the future.
And what do I mean by that? Do you notice? The last three games we played three straight mobile quarterbacks.
Russell Wilson will be number four.
Yes, yes, indeed.
And now on top of that, with Garoppolo being out, Mullins is mawr off a mobile quarterback than Garoppolo for Frisco.
So now you're talking about If our defense can learn how to play against mobile quarterbacks, I think it's gonna be a totally different thing when we see Buffalo and New England again, as well as when we go later in the season and have to see the billion dollar man in Patrick Mahomes.
And if we get a chance to get to the playoffs to see ah, Lamar Jackson, this this could be trial by fire.
But it's at the same time preparing things for the future.
This kid, Yes, for sure, because That's the new NFL now, too mobile quarterbacks.
That's what you're going to me. That's what we got.
He could get past the ball, but it could also run.
So I mean, it's what you want in a quarterback.
Then you want your defense to be prepared for that.
And you know, these young guys, they're already playing on the best receivers.
I mean, digs last week.
That's one of the best hands, you know, One of them.
Um and you know, we had our young guy on them.
Okay, Not not necessarily 100% by by design, but by design, once Peyron got injured.
So you know, it's It's one of those things that happens.
But these guys were already getting that experience right now.
So when they do come playoff time in the future, you know, they're already gonna be a ready for it, you know, right from day one.
Hopefully, it's this year, but one last thing, one last thing on the way, nor even agony played on deeds.
I wasn't that bad at the way he played it, and the reason behind it is I'm so used to send our DVDs playing off the receiver toe, whereas when they catch the ball, they running the ball for additional 20 to 40 yards.
A soon as digs touched the ball.
He was right there.
He was right there to make the stop.
That's trial by fire for rookie.
That's on Lee going to get better.
I was glad to see it.
People have to keep people have to keep it 100 man.
People got to keep it on.
Hunter in this regards we play.
The Patriots had a terrible game and we only allowed how many points? 20 or something, you know? And we played Buffalo and we literally still had a chance to win the game way.
So, yeah, if X would have had his third and we should have had his third interception by now because that was an interception, they would have turned the whole game around.
That's what was impressive about fits his game last night.
He didn't even have the almost interceptions.
I mean, hey, played a good game, but listen, we oh, well, true to I wish you'd turn it into Moorman.
E didn't even think about that.
Fits did catching on fast back down.
Back to that was pretty funny, man.
So the Seahawks air coming up, man.
And I'm gonna be anxious about this game because even even in a loss, I want to see us compete in this game.
And I think that we can win.
Man, I think that this team, if we're coached the right way and we're on our A game coaching, we can win any game in this league because we have the talent.
We just gotta put our players in the right position to make plays.
But they also have to make those plays.
Um, I want to get your thoughts on something real quick.
Do you like? Okay, we know we have assets going in the next season, right? Mhm.
And a lot of these guys are on two year deals.
Who do you think on this roster? Right now? The active 53 is no longer here next week next year, like shift out because that's what you know.
Sometimes I sit back and I think we got so much talent on this team and at the very bottom, there's not really too many bottom feeders anymore on this roster.
I mean, we know it's a few guys that are probably gonna be out, but there's not too many, but we're looking to probably have about an additional what? You know, 10 guys on this roster next year.
Um, you know, I mean 20.
Honestly, it's just who makes the cut, you know, but because in the draft alone, we still gotta have assets galore.
We're still gonna have a free agency where we bring people in and give them guaranteed money.
Where do you all see? Like, who do you see not being around next year? Jessie Davis.
Interesting one. Wow.
Good hit right off the back.
Why is that? This is all this gang play, man like, it's just it's too.
How How would you put it? It is too easy thio to people's game.
And you know what I'm saying? You know, as me being the ex football player, you know, like being a cornerback and the safety like watching, knowing them, you could tell that they're getting better.
You know what I mean? But Jessie Davis, he's doing a little bit better.
The only thing that's keeping him around is he trying to learn all the positions other than that other than that baby in Hey, getting his chance right now.
But sooner or later, Hunt don't come in to take a spot if you ask me if you think.
But when you really think about that first off, baby, I'm actually you know what? I'm gonna use that against you, Bones.
I'm gonna use it against you real quick.
And here's why I'm with you on Jessie Davis.
But your case actually means that he is more likely to stay, in my opinion.
If Hunt comes and takes his spot, that me Hunt is playing exceptionally well.
To take that over, Jessie Davis would be a good guy to still have on the roster tow back up multiple positions on the line.
My, uh, because he's now you got a guy who can start.
That would be the backup.
Would that not be valuable to keep? Yeah, but like you, like you once said in your previous shows, you know, if they could go pick somebody up for justice, cheap is him on.
They could do just as much.
Now he is dough, and you are right.
But being that he plays multiple positions.
It's not gonna be as easy as one would think.
Yeah, well, I got five, but, you know, I don't know.
You know how they you know how weighing floor, saying you're not able to play most positions.
You're not on this field.
You know what I mean? So special Florence, especially Flores, because he likes the multiple position players.
They could move around.
So who else y'all got? I got five of them TV to president one at a time.
Jordan Howard by they paying it made much compared them too much, showing what the production is going for right now.
I e I just wanna put this little staff on everybody's mind right now.
You know what the do you know what the NFL percentage off winds are for? Teams that run for at least 125 yards again is over 90%.
And that's that's the reason why fits needs somebody to run the ball.
Even if we're not successful, the play action will only be as a zoo.
Uh, be as effective with a running game, Jordan, how it ain't cutting it.
That's the reason why you know I'm like with insanity TV.
You know who I'm looking for to get as a running back here for the Miami Dolphins next year.
He's at Alabama to Nagy.
Harris? Yes, indeed.
That would be awesome.
Yes, that's crazy.
Hey, I'm with you on the Jordan Howard.
That's crazy that you can bring that up. Interesting.
You give me another one, man. Wow.
Well, one more terrace, he's gone.
A caress the center.
He's gone because that's the weak link on the line.
He is the weak link on the online he is.
And I'm telling you, I'm telling you who's gonna take his place, believe it or not, the one that you said that should be gone.
He could play center because that's what they were dealing with him doing training camp.
And if not, Michael Deter.
So now you've got 2,000,002 players taking that position.
If carats goes down, they ain't gonna miss a beat.
They're not gonna make me care.
Is making more money? Yes, he is.
Money talks, you know, they're gonna try to clear out space.
And that's what the guy who could do just as good of a job.
What else you got? Give me some more, Devon. Gotcha.
Shall you better not go? I like God shall, too.
But remember, it's a contract here for him.
This is a contract here for him.
And you got silent.
And you got the rookie that you just drafted in the draft.
Raekwon Davis right there.
And both of them showed out last night.
I'm telling you right now, you make a good point, but oh, man, I love that man.
He's good fun to watch last year.
Listen, the man didn't even play 50% of the snap he's already might be facing.
You talked about it today? Well, I would like to see Jordan.
Are Xavi in Howard? Go.
To be honest, I e.
I wanna be honest.
Like I love him because he got its interceptions.
But he's injury prone and you don't want, like, we don't need that. We had Jones.
You know Jones was injury prone.
He was He was the best corner, our safety in the league.
But injury pro means nothing for us staying in the game.
And last night, even after he got that interception.
He was grabbing the back of his leg.
I was like, Oh, no, Here.
Hey, was alright, though. He was all right.
Hey, was I mean, I like his talent, but he's worth money.
Now, Leo, let me tell you, let me tell you something.
That's the person who y'all really? I mean, a lot of people may not see it potentially happening, but he is the one that could be out of here via, because, let me say this.
He has a dead cap of almost seven million next year, so next year wouldn't be the year, but it still could be a trade.
Yes, but I wanted to back up for a second, uh, TV.
I'm gonna get back to you.
But the person with the highest probability of a trade right now is divine Gotcha.
Being on a contract year for a team that struggles up the middle.
If you know that you're going to move on from him next year, if we determine that God Child could be traded at any moment this season with designer playing the way that he is and Chris Christian Wilkins playing the way he is and Raekwon Davis coming on, getting better and better.
That could be a legitimate thing.
He is on a contract year, y'all and he's not gonna make pennies.
He ain't gonna make top dollar, But he also ain't gonna make pennies.
And listen, this is the again.
Y'all I hate to say this, but this is the patriot way you're supposed to.
This is the right way.
I know we hate it because we love a player, but you're supposed tohave their replacement playing behind them on their contract.
That's a matter of you.
That's how the Patriots been doing.
A matter of fact, you're supposed tohave his replacement playing behind him two years before his contract year so that you can trade him.
And then another team can play him for a year and decide if they want to re up or not.
That's good, child.
Rivard, Man, listen, I questioned God.
I got a question for you. TV.
And all you guys Brandon Jones are Bobby McCann? Yeah.
Who? That's a course.
Randy Need to be out there, man.
Thought you meant on the team e.
I've been a home team.
That's why I said it was unfair because I thought you just met on the team.
But, yes, it's time to go ahead and bring the Bring the young guy back in that secondary.
I know Flores is gonna go with what you trust.
He's going to go with.
Bobby has played a little bit better in this game now, don't don't know, that's that's that's be fair.
He played a really good game.
He's not even he's a slot man way.
We know that, but I don't think Flores.
I don't think Flores is ready for Jones back there yet.
E you seen it, though? I see this e this early in the season, I said Jones will end up back there by we 12.
E said that, but it ain't time yet.
It's not time yet.
He's getting reps, and that's all that matters.
But it's not time yet.
Bobby does need to go back to the nickel, but here's the problem with Bobby and the nickel. Now.
Byron Jones comes back exits on the opposite side, nor is in the nickel.
No, this This is how me me looking at the defense.
This is how I line it up on Mad.
So I have exactly I have a Xavier Kona.
Uh, I have branding at strong safety.
E have Byron Jones at free safety and then I'll put.
Then I'll put the Ricky at the other corner and Bobby put Bobby down in the nickel like, Oh, man, that's a killer defense.
To me, that's a killer D Here's here's nothing getting in sync.
Here's the Here's the problem with that.
Here's the problem I have, but that I actually love the creativity of it, by the way.
But it takes away from Byron Jones strength of short, down and distance, being right there with your with this guy, you know? But I like the like the thought of having him at safety, But I don't think you maximize his product, and maybe it does maximize the team Productivity's eso.
I see what you're saying.
Eso I see what you're saying.
I don't think you will maximize Byron's productivity, but it would maximize the team's productivity.
And if x X gets hurt or something, you, Bobby e.
I mean, Byron, come back down.
Yeah, and then put cavon friends are scheduling back there.
Put one of them boys back or move Bobby back.
You know what I mean? E e The fact that Bobby Place so far off the line, man, he placed so far back at safety.
It drives me crazy, bro.
It drives me nuts.
Like e know, if you've been listening to the live streams, I'll be screaming into the top of my lungs, man, listen, maybe maybe that's Onley because we're waiting on X to get 100.
Yeah, maybe because I think it's just, you know hey, Bobby helped him out.
Don't let nothing get over the top.
Noah's young don't let nothing get over the top.
We can live, We're getting beat, you know, and living living to fight another day.
But we don't want to give up the big play.
But I think when X you know you can see the 100% in him.
Byron is healthy.
No, and I think that that will change.
And then that box will be more aggressive.
The middle of the field will have less activity in the defense the way we have been on the place or if they play, the same side is gonna be one side of the field is gonna be, You know, not.
It'll be like they don't go that side of the field.
And they started attacking the other side, because if they stack them, you know, like with their strengths, like saving and Byron.
I mean, that's gonna be you're not throwing outside.
It's not happening.
But they think about it like this, right? Think about it like this.
I told you I play cool.
Think about it like this if you have.
Because we've been saying you've been saying it on your live screens for the past two games.
If you have a Xavier Howard.
Uh, no, it monogamy on that line press coverage, right? And then you put Byron over top of it monogamy because he's a veteran and he has good field coverage, right? You put him over top of him, and then you put Howard down impressed.
Let him press because he's a good press coney.
And then when he come off, you have you have your extra safety.
In the back is the rookie.
He could come up and make tackles? Yeah, he could make tackles exactly.
how I miss it on that side and on that side, he's there to help protect.
That boy has been flying around and feel like a e umbrella.
You keep the umbrella and then everything in the middle.
He could just have a field day with the linebackers.
Let me throw one wrench into that.
I don't like Byron Jones.
Physicality versus a tight end or running back or anything.
And what I mean by that is coming and absorbing contact.
He's a great cover guy.
He's gonna make the tackle, but something coming across the middle.
I don't like Byron laying the hit that George the ball out, you know, or even making a sound tackle right there.
Guy running at him.
I don't like that aspect of Byron.
I like Byron covering and keeping up with his guy.
If it is a catchy right there to make the tackle or breaking it up, that's the thing.
That's the only thing with Byron in the safety.
He's probably moved Where what movie? Oh, but then it's like you got to slide guys on this roster and Noah and Bobby now they get to a point, though. Hold on.
Uh, in the Getting the hot with the slot would be pretty nice because he's that's the That's what his highest grade in the NFL is is distance between the office of player he's always right there with.
It's so many s o the beauty of this defense.
There's so many different ways you can slice it and you gotta figure out the best the best way and time is gonna tell a lot.
I just hope we get creative and show some things that we find that optimal lineup.
But again, none of it.
Here's why we're gonna always be not always.
We're gonna be behind for several weeks when it comes to finding the optimal lineup.
Because Byron is hurt.
Yeah, if we find something that works, you know, it did better this week next week and could do even better.
And all of a sudden, Byron's back.
Now we got to shift people again, and we gotta get that cohesiveness.
Eso it's gonna take a while just because of his injury, trying to get back into a cohesiveness of what We're already trying to figure out what's best.
So it's gonna be tough, man I wouldn't.
I wouldn't even I wouldn't even be.
I wouldn't Even I would even go this far to say Put Nick Needham at safety.
I would do that because he's a nice feel.
He's a nice outfield cornerback to you know what I mean? He breaks on it, man.
If you're putting them at help, I'm all for.
But the problem is it's just a waste because you still got guys like Jones.
You always have an extra guy to go to before lead them.
That's serviceable back there.
You always got a guy on and I'm gonna be honest.
This was his first game starting at safety because we ran a lot of cover to people, made a lot of notice that because we were single high the first two weeks this week, we ransom cover to, um, press Man zone and different stuff.
But don't give up the big play.
That's why they were playing.
But role played.
This was his first started the safety and, you know it was good.
But at the same token, I would prefer him to be a backup corner.
Go back to where he was originally.
Yeah, You look like you're going to say.
Well, I'm just looking at what you're saying.
That's for as potential trades.
You see, divine gods, how you're saying Okay? You're saying divine God shall I'm saying Xavi at Howard as well.
But I'm also gonna get put one more out there and you'll tell me what you think.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Jeroen Bakker was let go and no reason.
Oh, that's our middle back guy. No way, man.
Yeah, but there's two things that I have noticed in these three games with Jeroen Bakker.
Jerome has been running over the field once they get past the line of scrimmage, which has been great.
But once he gets behind the line of scrimmage, especially if it comes on a blitz and he has to hit a person behind that, he misses the tackle.
It's like he runs.
They got him in the wrong position.
Yeah, well, that's what Inside linebacker, he's an inside a middle linebacker.
A everybody else let him stay in that middle and watch the run on.
Watch the quarterback like a spot.
But in the middle, that's the middle man.
But who played the middle last night? and showed up and got a sack as well as they Aziz, Well as Krugel, he'll both of them did that.
And so, like I'm saying to me, I love the wrong baker, but wrong on his miss tackling.
If he doesn't address that, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go because he's gonna be getting ready to come upon the contract to.
So I'm looking at all of us.
Will contract not only him, but also Eric Flowers.
He do a little over pursuing, you know, just too fast for itself.
That's it. Just too fast.
Food and stuff he's got down to control.
Yeah, anything with his size.
With his size and his his ability, I moved him from linebacker.
The strong safe.
You know what I mean? Because fast you could cover so he could put you could put him on all the tight ends.
You could put more the reason to have them in the middle of with the short little doing up the middle.
A reason happening.
Yeah, but that's the thing that got me Was Van Ginkel as well as cruel.
He'll once they tried to start running up the middle, that running ceased.
They weren't able to come up the middle cause they were plugging the gap to keep that running game off balance for Jacksonville.
And that's something again that don't get me wrong.
I think Baker is.
I really believe he really likes him, but at the same time, the one that's playing that position a little bit better than he is because he really is, should be in the middle middle.
Those guys larger and they plug it and they missing pieces.
Still, I think we're missing like one or two pieces still on defense anyway, as it is.
And once we get those pieces, you moving back to the middle.
Now you just dominant.
You know, let me say Let me say that. Let me say this.
I want you all to put things into context with Baker because I know he belongs in the middle.
But when we went to the three tackles in the middle, well, that's what I feel like.
It is running three tackles and two ends.
That's what shipping him.
Okay, if we were in the 43 he would be in the middle.
Hey would be in the middle It's the way.
It's the way our defense alignment is right now.
Um, that's why he shifted.
So because you're gonna understand, really, you got I mean, if you really wanna call it what it is, you kind of got Vanoy and oddball on the outside.
Really? He's still technically somewhat.
You just have to understand the formation.
He's still somewhat middle.
It's just the way that we run five guys.
It depends on the plane, of course, as well.
Okay, because I've seen us in a 43 and some sense is well, but that's what you That's mainly What you're talking about is when we run those three guys in the middle clogged up in the two outside guys standing up on the outside.
That's when it doesn't look that way for him.
But if we're going to run that kind of system, I hate to say this to some of y'all, but go ahead and trade him for an asset now, because you're not going to get the most out of him in that type of set.
Well, they disguise their sets to like for I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you get the most out of him in the current set that we're in.
But if we're in a 43 I think you get a maximize because he either gets exposed or he makes planes.
That's just my take.
That's that's because you got too many guys. They're talented.
And Van Ginkel um Gruber Hill.
All of those guys, man, I don't see the drop off.
I don't see where a baker got hurt today.
And you put in man Ginko Gruber Hill.
I don't see the drop off.
Maybe you all do.
No, no, I don't know.
So for me, looking at guys that are a little younger and going to be cheaper than Baker's riel, is he not coming up on the contract here next? Yes, sir.
That's the only reason why I put it out there.
I follow the money, and that's what I'm looking at.
Because if the truth be told and just like you do with Tannehill TV, I'm doing the same right now.
I love Fitzpatrick, but at the same time, when it comes to dollars and cents, he should have been cut before Rosen.
With the dollars and cents.
I had rather have 2 23 year olds.
I'm trying to teach the position of quarterback to that.
To sit up here and paying for a 37 year old is making 10 million.
He's worth it, but at the same time, I would have had to.
Foot's going back and being at that position for the next 10 years, I wouldn't have to worry about it.
But I wanna you make a good point, but I wanna make sure I'm clear on this Baker thing.
What I'm saying is, in a knock or Baker, I'll actually love Baker's game that the system we're running out doesn't maximize him, though, doesn't and somebody said, you know, But he has the most tackles on the team.
Sometimes that ain't always a good thing.
Now you give me.
He got the most tackles for loss. We're talking.
But if you allowing 12 yards to your side and you on the trail position, clipping him by the legs and tackling them all the way down, we still giving a place.
People think tackle is the end all be.
Sometimes tackling more tackles could be a bad thing now It does show that depending on player who's tackling because Jones had the most tackles on the team for years, you know, and that's a bad thing.
He's their guy in the booth.
But that was good for Jones, coming from a safety position to be making so many tackles unless we just suck that bad and they got to his level every time.
So, yeah, which is true, but I like Baker, but I think that we gotta utilize him better in our system.
I now let me tell you something.
They use Baker in this game the right way.
They had him sometimes on the line of scrimmage.
They had him actually on the line of scrimmage on the outside.
Even if he didn't rush.
He bailed out of that to be a fun.
And then he went back into coverage his own in a lot of cases.
But I don't know, man, that's a delicate situation that I'm gonna be honest.
I don't have the full vision on because I haven't paid enough attention on film on that, But y'all got my eyes open and wanna go Look now because Baker is a mystery.
He's coming up on a contract year. We need to know.
Yeah, but I don't see it as everybody on a contract.
You're gonna be going, obviously.
And you wanna build, You wanna build like the foundation like you're building this new defense, You know, we're starting to build it now.
And you want centerpieces, and I see him as a centerpiece.
I see him as a centerpiece of this defense s.
Let me let me keep let me keep it 100.
Alright, What does centerpiece mean when I mean, that is like you got your players that are not like, Yeah, you're building around these type of players that you want.
Like, this is what you vision as your defense and hence in the middle.
So I wanted to I wanted Thio.
I know that was the definition.
I'm glad you're spot on with.
So y'all it's fine to dollar.
It's fine to it.
But not not when Ronnie said he's in the center.
That has nothing to do with Centerpiece.
No, it let me say this.
So you're gonna see here and tell me Jerome Baker is a guy you wanna build around That a true definition of a E.
I'm talking about here.
Another good piece, E o.
But is he a guy that you build around as if this is our staple and we're gonna build around here? If we would have got the guy number five that you were talking about Isaiah Simmons, that's the centerpiece.
That's the centerpiece that society Jeroen Bakker is not a centerpiece.
He's a He's a good P good.
He's a good piece that we have right now, but I guess I e mean he's a very good piece that we have right now.
He's a very good piece, but he ain't a centerpiece because, like I said before, you take your own maker out of the game right now.
Is it that big of a drop off from Kruger, Grogan Hill in Bendigo? No, no e what you're saying, E, see what you're saying.
We could definitely get a better centerpiece, for sure, but the boys sound like outside linebackers.
Don't they play outside linebacker E O Bacon you to be in the middle, Man Baker is a middle linebacker.
He's a middle linebacker.
It is not an outside linebacker, e middle linebacker.
That's What? The same argument.
You could have a centerpiece.
Any position on defense like we had Cameron.
That would have been awesome.
A defense like this like it would be a builder.
Pieces are guys that that are going to dominate dominant position and you bring pieces to complement them.
Yeah, Drone based Wilkins is the centerpiece right now that they're trying to build around with is the centerpiece.
He is the center around him, like Raekwon, Zeiler the corners.
Listen anything except for see what they say about whether or not Jeroen Bakker is good or not.
We already know he's a good player, but we're We have to put the whole picture together.
Money contract here.
We got guys that can play behind him right now.
You know, another guy who's been getting a few reps that we didn't hear this thing much, but he got there playing football.
Mom, You want E? Yeah, that ball on the two yard line last night.
What happened? But he hasn't been having no snaps in the first game.
I believe it was like none.
He got snapped last night.
And down the ball on the two yard line on that putt, so it's a lot.
It's a lot of guys that.
But listen, Jeroen Bakker I'm gonna tell you all now it's going to depend on his contract.
If we overpaid on Jerome Baker, I am not gonna be happy.
But if we can respect him to give him a good deal, but not over pay, I'm all for it.
He's a good piece of this defense to continue tohave long church, but it depends on what his agent what What does the market say that your own Baker could get? And is it two million a year more than we're willing to give? That's what it's gonna come down to.
Yeah, that's the reality.
E think beggar, gonna be more of, ah, team player and take take a negotiable contract state that you feel E unless he gets American Thompson.
I don't even know about that, bones, because it's hard to say that for a player who isn't considered top top five betters position, and on top of that, he's not the biggest name out there, and a team that would actually want you and pay you more money and give you a four year deal.
Who's not gonna taste the extra two million a year when your career could be gone like that? Yeah.
E one injury and weak for away from his whole value being shattered.
Think about him.
I hate this happened.
Think about him having a season in in the injury next week and will be replaced out for the season.
And then next year is his contract year.
And he's actually come trying to come back to form.
Yeah, it's done.
Hey, is correct money standpoint.
So these guys like him that don't have a big name, they will always take the money.
They will always say the money Okay with NTD, I'll tell you another one that has already taken the money.
That is probably not gonna be here next year.
Jack Keane, Grant Eric Flowers.
I think Jackie grants a great little asset, but he's too small because he's going to get injured.
It's gonna have small let small language things.
You King Grant doesn't have the heart.
If he had a heart like to re kill, he would be a beast.
You know what I mean? He doesn't have.
He doesn't have that animal in him.
But everybody you see a lot because he had some amazing catches last year.
Amazing for his side. It was amazing.
He fought for that ball.
But you know, last night, just like you saw him having the wherewithal catching that ball, getting up, running for some more yards, that's you.
That's something that you need as well as doing that end around those things that they if they put him in the right positions to do those types of things, yes, but at the same time, I believe that this roster, the way that the way things are going, and if Preston continues his development and Isaiah Ford is doing what he's doing, he might be replaced.
I see Grant going for sure, like eventually wear out eventually.
If we 12 is here or we 13 and we're out of well, when? Whenever the trade deadline is.
If we're out of playoff e, if it looks like we're not going to actually be vying for the playoffs the week of the trade block, I could see Grant getting traded for a six.
Yeah, I could see I could see us gathering the six for granted.
Saving the money? Yeah, you could do.
Let me tell you why.
Let me tell you even Maura.
Why Way just got from Oakland.
He hadn't even played yet, hasn't yet.
But even beyond that, everybody is forgetting about one thing.
Everybody is forgetting about one thing next year.
Um, what's his name again? I don't know why I just forgot it.
Um, Britt? Oh, my gosh.
Albert Wilson is guaranteed next year.
Okay? He's guaranteed.
He he opted out.
Do the cove it which pushed his contract to 2021 guarantees we're at We might be at a logjam at the receiver position going in the next year.
Uh, and they're gonna wanna bring in young new talent.
There's no question about this.
You always gotta have one or two young new guys at the position.
So somebody, whether it's Isaiah Ford or Albert Wilson, could be expandable.
No, not Albert Wilson, because he's gonna be here.
He got to guarantee money next year.
Yeah, I'll be back.
Appreciate your roof.
He got a guarantee money.
So that's even more reason why.
Ah, guy like Jack Keane Grant, who holds more value than in Isaiah four, could be on the trade block if we're out of contention later in the season, right before the trade deadline.
Would not be surprised.
Him and God chow him, God, child And even Howard, um could be could be on the block.
Even Ted care is for a team that loses their center or something in their playoff bounding needed.
E could see it so things.
Two things to think about and they remember.
I said, If we're out of contention because if we're in contention, you need Grant.
He's that guy that can if you get in the playoffs, he could be that decoy.
Make that huge play for you at a moments notice.
So change the speed.
He's got a lot of speed, but I don't know if Fitzpatrick has the arms, still the throw to him deep, deep, but that Z.
But even if he doesn't, that's why you use him the way that we use them.
And then you gotta use more runaround from across the middle.
Yeah, but you also use them or crossing routes for a man to man coverage.
You find a team that plays, man, you want to use them or crossing routes.
You wanna lying about why? But the problem is you can't lie about why? Because you got Preston and Parker playing a lot of snaps.
All right, well, I will put this can be out there, so Yeah.
Yes, I agree with you.
I think I think Preston need is stepping up.
But I put this case out there.
E believe Jack Keane watch the trade deadline and see if the Dolphins don't make a play to get O p J down to South Florida so that he could be you.
Safety valve for two.
But he's got e think that I don't think they're gonna do it.
I would like me personally.
I would like to see that, but I don't think they're gonna do it.
I think they're gonna stay young at the position, and they're not gonna be Oh, yeah, and I don't think they're gonna go high salary.
They're gonna continue to try to find press depressing Williams of the world.
You know, those type of guys.
They're gonna continue to do that what? It turns out, but I would like that.
I would like to see that happen for Thio Have that one guy that you know is your God.
Well, we got a second man.
Kosecki is turning into that as a tight end tour is gonna make just secular pro board.
Yes, he's got that got away.
It looks like he has to wait on tool because two is going to be able to throw those middle of the field posts.
You know, those posts that you run a post from the tight end, position off the line, he's gonna be throwing those posts and stuff right on top of the defender, dropping it right into those hands, man, nobody's gonna be able to stop it.
He's gonna make just say he has the potential to make just sec'y Mawr athletic.
Travis kills a faster, speedier agility Gronkowski a mawr Physically gifted Jason Witten.
I mean, Giesecke is more talented physically, he just saying is strong is coming.
The other guy, that one handed catch on.
My goodness, man.
Yeah, your hands, man. Those.
He's got hand, so you get the right quarterback to him.
It's gonna be nice, but I gotta go, guys.
It was fun time.
Well, I might get out of here to e.
I forgot y'all had Antonio Callaway.
