in Houston and we are back.
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ray Route.
That man over there is Connor Carney.
And together we are D p n commentary coming at you again.
Here live on Thursday night on SportsCastr and YouTube.
You can find it every Tuesday and Thursday, 9 p.
Connor, I am in a good, good mood today.
How are you, sir? Good, good.
Always good when we're both good.
So do the Patriots play the Raiders this weekend? No longer Oakland now the Las Vegas Raiders.
Thea Undefeated Las Vegas Raiders.
Dude, if I would have told you at the beginning of the season that the Chicago Bears and the Raiders, we're going to start this season to a no.
Would you believe me? Probably not.
And also it's only two games in so far.
But Bears and the Raiders wouldn't be two teams that I would pick to win both games right out the gate.
And I like I like this matchup the Patriots have.
Yeah, I am so confident going in this game, we'll get into it.
But I am to looking at it just today when I was looking at it.
And we'll break this down when we get into our predictions later on.
But there's a you can tell, though.
There is a lot of respect between these two coaches and Jon Gruden and Bill Belichick.
These air to old school hard knows football.
I don't know men, you know, football loving.
Yeah, like they.
And there's a lot of a lot of old school love between these guys and, well, let me tell you what Jon Gruden said about the Patriots today, and more specifically, he was talking about the New England Patriots and Cam Newton.
And you know, Cam Newton is he's a problem for teams, right? Cam Newton is a problem.
You have to figure out how to defend Cam Newton.
And the problem is, you gotta defend Cam Newton and you gotta beat the coaching staff with the New England Patriots.
Eso let me tell you what Jon Gruden said about this combination.
A little bit of double, double, double trouble, whatever you wanna call it.
So Gruden said, quote.
I haven't seen many guys walked through my door that looked like Cam.
I call him Slam Slam Newton.
That was the nickname I gave him.
He's a power forward playing quarterback.
He's oversized for the position, but he's gifted so much athletically.
It's incredible what he's accomplished.
And his durability is really impressive.
And I'm glad to see he's healthy again.
I mean, look, first of all, I do not want slam Newton to become the new Cam Newton.
I'm gonna be honest, not a fan.
I'm not digging that Nick.
No, man, I'm not.
That's just just know who's going to give him a nickname.
He's given nicknames for everyone else.
Now he needs one.
Well, I mean, if you're going to give names like little, but you've gotta be prepared for a bad nickname back.
Yeah, so yeah, man.
So I mean, like, it's I guess it is what it is on that front, But yeah, brother, they called Slam Noon, but I agree.
Man in Camden kind of talked about it himself, right? He's a phenomenal athlete who happens to play quarterback, right? Like that's exactly what it is.
So I think that I'm okay with this. I'm okay.
with him, you know, with Gruden's and assessment of Cam Newton.
Obviously, the respect that, but But Gruden goes on, my friend and keeps keeps talking about the Patriots.
Cam looks like he Cam looks like he's the usual cam.
He's a threat to do a lot of different things.
It's a credit to the Patriots.
It's a credit to their coaching staff to be able to change gears fast that well.
I guess you'd expect that from the Patriots coach in Skuta, but it's impressive in the way that they change gears is very impressive as well.
We do have a pretty good backroom background on what Cam's been able to do, but also we have an expectation of where they're going with certain personnel groups.
But it's a tough operation.
It always is when you play against Cam Newton and the New England Patriots and now they've joined forces is double trouble for every defensive staff, every coach and every team that comes in there.
Dude, we're talking about a Patriots team, a Patriots team that in March, when Tom Brady decided to sign with the Tampa Bay Gronk a nears Tom Baker Buccaneers, they were dubbing our beloved patriots to be tanking for Trevor Lawrence.
There was that talk.
Yeah, Now they're sitting there talking about slam Newton.
They're sitting here talking about it's double trouble with these two together.
Dude, it's like I get why people hate us.
I get why people hate us because it's it's hard not to be an arrogant Patriots fan. It really is.
Yeah, I see a lot of you telling me in corner that we gotta be a little humble and stop pumping the tires of every player on this team.
F you man, not until it's actually warranted.
It's not warranted yet.
F you, man, I'm gonna be asparagus.
I want I the the National Football League.
Connor has not given me a reason to be humble about the New England Patriots.
When's the last time they won less than 11 games? I don't remember.
Do you know Oh me? How many games of the win in 2000 to 10 e, I think in 2002 they won nine.
I think they went nine and seven, but that was also 18 years ago, so that would have been the last time they went last in 11 games.
So 18 in the past 18 years they've won 11 games or before they won 11 games of Matt Cassel.
They did? Yep, they did.
So I mean, nobody in the league has given me a reason to not be arrogant about this New England Patriots team.
And I'm telling you, what did they get against the Seahawks? Last Sunday has given me even more reason to be arrogant about this being a New England Patriots fan.
And there's the truth behind it.
You know what I mean? I mean, we're just telling the truth that the Patriots gonna be a very good team.
They're always a very good team.
They're good year after year after year.
Yeah, and they're good again this year.
And at the end of the day, man, we're on this podcast.
So we're on this show.
Whatever you wanna call it.
We're talking about football.
Like we're not talking about solving world hunger or global warming.
We're talking about football people.
Just have fun, man.
Have fun is we talk about the greatest game and, yeah, greatest game in North America and the greatest team in North American sports.
Just enjoy it and have fun.
I mean, look, those Raiders, man, they beat the saints anywhere.
You about them, the more I think about it.
No, I mean, I don't think their offense is gonna be that great.
Darren Waller is a stud.
But you know, Belichick takes out the best player every time.
I think that they're going to contain Josh Jacobs.
And who are the receivers? Hunter Renfroe.
And what's the other guy? I forget his name begins with an R.
But it went It went throughout.
No, he's not out.
He's gonna be out when he has to be covered by either J.
Jackson or stuff on Gilmore.
I just don't see their offense doing that much against us.
I think the Patriots is gonna be able to contain him, and I think can do is going to score a good amount of points.
So, uh, Patriots ar minus 6.5.
I think they're gonna cover What kind of game plan are you expected? Um, that's a good question.
I really don't know week to week what to expect with what they're gonna do on offense.
I think it's gonna be a mixture of what we saw week one and week, too.
I think they're going to run the ball more than they did last week, but not as much as they did Week one. Yes.
Yeah, I've been tourney.
I think we're gonna Seymour Oven offense that they put up against Miami than we saw against.
But maybe it'll be more of a mix.
I mean, I think only through the ball 19 times or something against Miami.
So you might see, like 25 to 30 passes.
I couldn't see them running unequal 30 and 30 something of that nature or 32 31 depending on how many offensive place they have.
But, yeah, I I expect him to run the ball.
The Raiders, You know, the Raiders air Funny team, dude, Because going into that Monday Night Football game against New Orleans, I do the pre game over on SportsCastr 7 p.m. Eastern time.
I was on there tonight at 7 p.
Do the pre game for Thursday night when I was on there and Lawrence and Keith and I were talking about the game and I said Listen, Jon Gruden is going to run the football.
Yeah, whether it's working or not.
And he ran the football.
Um, the I forget the guy's name, but the back of the Raiders ran the ball 27 times for 88 yards.
Right? Josh Jacobs, Josh Jacobs.
He averaged, like 3.
3 yards per carry, right? And yet Jon Gruden just nickeled and dimed them, trying to set up play action didn't get away from the run.
And I sat there and said All the saints and I said it.
All the Saints have to do tonight Defensively is have your front ready for the run.
Stop it and play man to man coverage.
If you do that and don't bite, because when you're playing man to man, it's hard to bite on play action because you're covering man to man, right? And all of a sudden, the Saints just played this soft zone defense and all the credit in the world to Derek Carr.
He made them pay. He did.
He did, and really like he chunked him in like 789 yard passes over and over and over again.
And at the end of the day like the Saints number one gave that game away.
Credit to this To the Raiders.
Credit to the Raiders.
Not gonna be that guy.
Not gonna be a little punk about a credit to the Raiders, but I'm just sitting there going like, What the hell are you doing? Like, Do not you have the personnel to play man to man? Yep.
Play man to man.
But they didn't in Las Vegas.
I mean I mean, basically, Derek card was fat Darren Waller? Yeah, pretty much e.
I mean, him 18 times or something.
Yeah, he's he targeted 16 times.
Catches, 103 yards, One touchdown.
His touchdown pass.
The Saints didn't even cover him off was wide open. Oh, my goodness.
Yeah, He was wide open.
He could have under handed it to him.
Here's the thing, man.
I know we saw a lot of zone defense against Seattle last week, but they don't fear Derek Carr like they feared.
That zone defense was so Russell Wilson didn't run all over them.
The page is gonna play one, the one they don't have.
Who's gonna bully Stefan Gilmore? They don't.
Yeah, I don't I don't see how their receivers, they're gonna, you know, succeed against our secondary.
Unless Derek Carr and Henry rugs suddenly come up with some connection.
Even then, I don't know if they have what it takes.
And here's the thing, man.
The Patriots have guys on this team who can cover tight ends.
Agent Phillips can cover tight ends.
Kyle Duggar can kid cover title.
This is a game that Patrick Chung would have been fed.
Man, that's very true.
That's very true.
This might be a game where we do miss him.
Although they have.
A lot of people were able to fill the shoes.
So far, it seems they dio.
And here's a big one, man, and I don't know what's gonna happen.
I'm gonna be watching this like a hawk on Sunday.
Is off the injury report.
Is he? We've been waiting.
So we may see the debut of Josh UCI, which then gives Adrian Phillips and Kyle Duggar a little bit more room to do some man to man coverage out there.
You expecting him to start? I don't know.
I mean, I don't know.
I've read a lot of things about him.
I've read Stay patient and this and that.
And I'm just like, Bro.
I want to see Joshua J.
Play football man.
But yeah, he's off the injury report.
So is Dalton Keen? Oh, there we go.
I've been wondering about the tight ends, man, because Devon Asi Asi hasn't got a lot of snaps.
And when he's out there, he's playing more like a blocker.
Dalton Keen is more of their athletic tight end, and I wonder how much the Patriots will get them involved in the game.
It's funny because there's not really any involvement.
And I think Ryan is oh was like three for three on catches this year.
Yeah, yeah, he's had a couple of grabs.
I remember the week one.
He had a pretty long catch in the beginning of the game.
He had two catches against Seattle.
What? I mean, like, I wonder if when Dalton King comes back, if they get him more involved in the game and especially since he could play that h back position I mean, with Cam Newton there, you could do a lot of really interesting things with that combination, right? But bro, I mean like Cam Newton already came out and said that he, uh he's comfortable with the receivers that he has.
I don't know if he read that this week, came out and talked about.
Yeah, we may have talked about a Tuesday.
Yeah, a little bit. Yeah.
So and I got a little piece there that we'll get into a little bit more.
Um, but, you know, here's the thing, man.
So I was preparing for this show today, and I was, and I knew we talk a lot about the Raiders, and I got Gruden's comments on the Patriots and how he feels about the New England Patriots.
But I also got what Bill Belichick feels about, um, the Raiders and Dude, I got, like, a page and a half of quotes from Bill Belichick.
Let me let me tell you why I love Bill Belichick.
Number one, the way he dresses for his press conferences like, I mean, I want him to be in that shirt every single time he's there.
I thought that was awesome.
He just does not care, man.
I've never seen or experienced a person who just doesn't care as much as as he or as little as he does.
That dude is a is a billionaire, right? Right.
He his furniture at his house is from the early nineties s so true it waas You know, you're showing all these coaches, like was was it Sean McVeigh who was, like at his place with the lighting behind him in the big screen? And you? Yeah, you know, like all these, like, just perfect, like setups.
And then Bill Belichick's in his kitchen.
Everybody else is like in a in an office or this or this week.
He's in his kitchen with furniture from the nineties.
With his dog sitting in the chair.
He shows up with holes all over thistles.
The guy that's just like I'm here about four and isn't it? Is it? Let me ask.
Bill Belichick doesn't do anything without thinking about it.
Like he didn't just sit there and go on.
There's gonna throw on any old shirt like he thought about this.
Is it a coincidence that it comes? He does this the day after he Cam Newton says, If I hit all my my incentives, I get to dress the coaches.
Is that is that what he said he did.
Oh, I didn't included Belichick.
Really? Now, that will be interesting, man.
Oh, my goodness.
We know all what all of his incentives are.
Well, on his way to weeks, Yeah, I'd have to look at all up.
So he'll probably make his close to his five million or whatever he's guaranteed this year if he hits his incentives.
But, I mean, Bill ball checks the man.
Imagine Belichick and his attire.
Uh, what a visual e.
I want you all the magic, you know? I know there's some photo shoppers out there tweeted at me at d p n underscore Ray or even on instagram at d p n underscore, Ray, you can also find corner on Twitter at corner commentary and on instagram at counter commentary.
All of y'all that air good at at it's at, uh, Photoshop and all that kind of stuff.
If you can Photoshop Bill Belichick in a Cam Newton suit, I know we saw the one with with, you know, it's the picture of Bill with the scarf in the hair, but I want one of just, like a good a good Photoshop.
Don't give me no crap Photoshop You people who don't know how to use Photoshop, But anybody who's good send it to us at DP and underscore Rare at Connor commentary on Twitter and Instagram.
Uh, dude, we'll share it on the show.
We'll give you a show that will share it on the show on Tuesday.
And, uh, I'll rock that thing, bro.
I mean, let me see what we get here.
I'll pin it on my tweets.
It reminds me of the dumb and dumber suits.
Oh, yeah, The bay The powder blues. Yes.
So there's the challenge to all the DPM commentary fans out there.
All five of you, please.
Someone gonna do What do you five have to be good at Photoshop coming up? Joe's got it pretty good at Photoshop, does all that.
He must be right.
He seems like he's good at all.
This kind of stuff he does.
He does some cool stuff, man.
He like, I don't know.
He, like, put me in a like a huddle in spirit.
And I was like yelling at the Patriots was great.
I love this. That's sick.
Anyways, back to what I was saying so I looked at three quotes about the the Raiders from Belichick.
They're all literally a paragraph long, like we're talking a couple of words there.
You could tell it was those, like, long drawn out.
Bill Belichick answers, right? And he said, Absolutely nothing.
Now let me read this to you, Okay? You want to get some insight on what the Patriots think of the Raiders defense? Quote.
I think Jeff Heath really helped him.
Cornerback, he said. Nixon.
So they've got a good group of guys they're on.
Then defensively the players that they've added the pass rush the last couple of years.
There's Max Crosby clean Farrell, and you know the guys in the secondary with Jonathan Abram and try Ronn Mullen and Damon Arnett to go with LaMarcus Joyner and Eric Harris.
Very experienced players back there.
Uh, they've got a lot of experience.
That linebacker with Corey Littleton and Nicholas Morrow and those guys Nick, quit a Kwiatkowski.
Uh, if he plays Jonathan Hankins, Uh, inside tough guy to block it will be a big challenge for us to compete with these guys, but, you know, we're getting ready for it and looking forward to it through that guy literally listed the players on their defense.
He gave zero insight into that Raiders defense.
He sat there, enlisted players.
That's all he did.
They got this guy, They got that guy, they got this guy and they got another guy and, uh, you know, the water boy, You know, like, he just list players.
How can you not love this coach, man? One of his lines every week to is they got a good group of guys.
They got a good group of guys we're looking forward to.
This is gonna be hard to compete, like I think that they could be playing a Pop Warner team and he'd be just, like, lifting the lineup out like 101 100%.
This is what he did last year.
I forget what it was I think was either like Miami or the Jets in the beginning of the year.
And he was like, We're gonna need to bring our A game.
It's gonna be a tough one.
And everyone in the world who they're gonna roll over.
And we were, like, 42 to nothing or something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he gives, Belichick believes that you can give away a game plan.
You wanna hear what he has to say.
A Raiders offense? I'm very curious.
It's even longer than his defensive explanation.
Yeah, he had to talk about the backup offensive lineman, right? Well, way quote.
Certainly the Raiders mix them in there.
Like everything they dio together a lot of different looks.
Coach Drew Gruden does a good job using multiple personnel groups, multiple formations, different looks, different play concepts, but all within the framework of doing things that are fundamental and what principles embedded into their system.
So they executed high levels.
The quarterback reads are the same, but the play looks different to the defense.
He does a great job of doing that of game planning and changing up looks, but at the same time having a higher level of execution on the offensive side of the ball because of the continuity of the techniques, fundamentals and quarterback reads in the passing game.
It's the third time you said quarterback reads yes on in the running game as well.
Um, it's a lot of the same players, but the looks are different the formations are different.
The play's appear to be different, but fundamentally, they're really the same.
But it's very hard on the defense to recognize what they're doing until a lot of times.
It's too late and it slows you down half a step.
What did he say? Hey, didn't say anything he wants, Quarterback reads.
He's like he basically, like, should have went like they have plays.
Yeah, they throw the ball, they throw the ball, they run the ball.
Um, they get in the huddle.
They you know, they have a two minute drill.
Uh, sometimes they kicked a field goal.
Sometimes they don't, um, but they get a touchdown.
They'll normally kick an extra point unless they need a two pointer like e.
I love this guy like he keeps like that.
Was that, Dude, it's literally this long on the E on Ariel 11.
It's an entire paragraph.
I could have handed this in as an English project.
It's that long and I read these quotes four times and he said nothing right? He just keeps saying the same things over and over again.
So then they asked about John Cruden, and all of a sudden Bill Belichick has something to say.
Here's what he said about Green, he says.
I think that Coach Gruden has done an outstanding job really pulling this team together in a short amount of time, both from a personnel standpoint, coaching staff and just the way he's been able to get the players to do things that I know he believes in and what he wants them to do.
He's rebuilt the offensive line, the skill players on offense, in the running back position.
And I'm like, You know, basically, you know he's put in a game plan.
I had some people hire some staff, got some players, just done a great job.
The guy gets says nothing, Absolutely, like he says Nothing.
Called what? It could be three and 13 and he could be talking about how great of a job they've done.
I have just for the last seven minutes they're talking about Bill Belichick quotes.
What did you learn from those? I learned that when they play defense, they like toe play good and when they do offense they try hard and they're really good and we need to prepare for them and their coach hired people.
And, uh, he's done a good job, and they've done a good job.
I mean, if you don't have a better insight on the Raiders by now, you never will like you never will.
I mean, if Coach Belichick didn't explain it Thio Exactly.
He just told you exactly what was going on with the team.
All right, listen, man, we talked a little bit about what the Patriots game plan is gonna look like.
Here's the thing I love about the Patriots this year is that we're actually going to sit here and discuss what we think the game plan could look like.
Because for the last 20 years we've known what the game plan is gonna look like.
Um, Tom Brady's gonna stand in the pocket.
Brady's gonna throw the football more than likely Gronkowski Edelman, Randy Moss, Oradell and or, um, Welker are gonna catch it.
And, you know, Sprinkle and six Super Bowls.
Serious? Seriously, um, we knew the game plan, though.
Put it for a little loop with the heavy running, especially going into the playoffs.
But you know the game plan is gonna be.
I'm excited about this year because we're talking.
Are they gonna be a run team on Sunday against the Raiders? Are they gonna is not gonna come and throw for 400 yards again? You know, like, what are they going to do on Sunday? Because what Cam Newton showed us against the Seattle Seahawks is that mother effort.
You can still sling the football man 100%.
He can still sling the football.
Like, how impressed were you with him standing in the pocket throwing the football on Sunday? Very.
That was honestly, exactly what I was hoping for.
I didn't know if it was gonna be that, like, accurate as he was.
And him and Edelman had serious, uh, chemistry man.
That's what I couldn't believe is.
They were right on the money and only the second game.
They won't work. Then they're playing together forever.
Two receivers had career days in the kill Harry with 72 yards.
Julian Edelman with, like, 179 yards.
Yeah, which is nuts because Edelman's been doing this forever.
Cam Newton sets the record for the most Russian multiple multi rushing touchdowns.
Yet um, like it's There was actually a lot of different things that happened that game, but kind of got overshadowed by a disappointing loss and how we all celebrated loss. Like a championship.
Right? But I was reading our good friends on the ball at The Boston Globe today.
And I was a little surprised, man.
Read a story from Ben Volin.
Okay, Normally, I could normally I'm ready for him just to have some stupid take.
That's That's the thing with the Globe.
It's the other guy.
Shaughnessy who, uh, reading still the dynasty.
How many bad takes that he have? Oh, my God, man.
How does he still have a job? It was like, It's like every every time.
It's like all the way back to Bill Parcells.
Every take that guy has ever had has been wrong.
Funny you say that because I got an email from The Boston Globe today.
Did you? I did write, Dear Raymond, for those of you who don't know, my name is Raymond.
I guess I used my full name when I signed up for my subscription of the Globe.
I didn't think I did, But dear Raymond Hello, I'm sports columnist Dan Shaughnessy on, and I'd like to welcome you to the Boston Globe.
Wow, I grew up reading the globe because of its sports department.
The gods of my youth were not only yeahs coups rustling or but also Ray Fitzgerald.

That's part of the That's part of the fun.
Now I read and laughed when I got that today, because there's nobody that condescends its readers and condescends like the Twitter followers more than Dan Shaughnessy, right? Seriously and God, you're right, man.
Because the dynasty you hear how many bad takes it keeps being him.
It's like over and over again.
I'm like, Oh my God, I was like Dan Shaughnessy again, and I remember him from having bad takes recently.
And now I'm like, Wow, he's been having bad takes its before.
You know what he puts himself out there. He does.
Guy was writing for clicks before clicks existed.
Right? Like he invented Clickbait.
As far as I thought, it was some of those articles that he was declared back in the day.
It had to have been something they were trying to sell newspapers.
God, Have you got to the part yet? Oh, so they won their first Super Bowl.
You've been there, right? Oh, yes.
Yes, I They've already lost the Super Bowl to the Giants the second time.
How how do you feel about Belichick holding a grudge against ESPN and with they? When they tried to interview them, he wouldn't interview with, um, Chris Berman had to conduct an interview.
And then he told what's his name to f off? Yeah, that Who was that? Uh oh, I forget is that he was a former tight end in the league.
He was a former former player, and he came out and said, It's funny because he came.
The Patriots locker room was actually in shambles, right? Belichick had traded away.
Lawyer released Lawyer Milloy.
You know Bruschi was mad.
McGuinness, the leaders of that room.
Where past right? And they just got trounced.
Yeah, and they got trounced of the Bills that Bruschi wanted out of town.
You know, he talked about how in college they were a team.
They're not a tightening.
You can't build relations in New England.
And then that guy comes out and says, Bill Belichick has lost the locker room and the boys got so mad that he did that just, like took it all out and he brought them together.
And then Belichick he ship went on his hand.
It says Congratulations.
And Belichick says, Fufu.
Yeah, honestly, there's been a bunch of those times where it's like they've come out with those types of things happening.
And then that's when the Patriots takeoff actually was just 2014 where I'm reading it in the Kansas City Chiefs game and keep keep feeding it right.
Brady was reading the lines, and and Robert Kraft was sitting in his office smiling, knowing that that was just gonna fire Brady up right? It's I love it.
I wonder if Drew Brees is gonna get fired up after his **** poor performance on Monday night because I'll tell you, man, Drew Brees the first two weeks of the season against the Bucks and the Raiders.
Dude, he's looked like an old man.
He does look like he's falling off the cliff.
He looks like he's a 40 year old quarterback at this point.
He struggled in both of those games.
It was kind of tough to watch, and it sucks cause I've always been a breeze fan.
I've always liked Drew Brees.
I've always thought he's been a nice guy.
Him and Sean Payton have always been complimentary to Brady and Belichick.
Sean Payton supported Brady when he got suspended.
Um, the only coach has ever spoken out against Spy Gate and basically said, It doesn't mean anything.
Is Sean Payton you know, like it's so I've always had a lot of respect for those two guys and tow watch Breezes falling off that cliff is you say you're looking like an old man.
I mean, without Michael Thomas, they looked lost.
It's sad because he's going to start to look like Peyton Manning in his last season, which Peyton Manning was obviously always a superstar.
So it's kind of sad to see them at the end.
Just look like a shell of the former self.
So I hope he doesn't turn into a full on Rainbow on like Manning was at the end.
I'll be honest, man.
I didn't feel bad watching Manning's career come to an end.
I respected Manning.
I didn't I didn't respect him the way I respected Drew Brees.
You know, I thought, Man, he was a little bit disrespectful to the Patriots.
I mean, he just took a shot at the Patriots on Monday Night Football talking about how the Patriots, you know, some places they cut off the communicated like taking a shot at the Patriots.
You know? Yeah, all that type of stuff where supposedly on the sidelines, nothing works and all that.
The dude thinks he's a comedian now.
He does like Pat McAfee talks about like Peyton Manning.
He's just like this bigger than life personality, right? I'd have no problem telling a guy who looks like a thumb what I feel.
It looks like Hey, does Peyton looks like a thumb with that big forehead.
He looks like Look, Peyton Manning anyways, dude.
So we've digressed a lot here.
What I want to talk about is Ben Volland.
I wrote this piece.
I didn't obviously don't read the whole article, but I I read the whole article, but for the show, I pulled out a couple of things here that I want to read to you.
Um, and and this is what excites me about Cam Newton.
Okay? Newton's Week one performance against Miami was impressive as he completed 15 of 19 passes.
But the Patriots jumped out to an early lead, ran the ball 42 times and used to play action of 11 of 21 passes on 21 passing place.
Which makes me laugh because he was 15 of 19 but he play action for 11 21.
Which one is it been, but which left some wondering myself included whether Newton could be effective throwing from the pocket without play action or scramble place.
He certainly answered the call Sunday night Of Newton's 397 passing yards, 312 came after halftime, with the Patriots trailing almost the entire game, and while play action was still heavily involved in the game.
26 of Newton's 46 passing plays were on straight drop backs without play action, 25 of them coming out of the shotgun on his straight drop packs.
Newton was a respectable 16 of 24 for 244 yards.
My dude, that means that Cam Newton doesn't need play action.
That boy could say hike, get, take a drop back and throw the football and put up 44 yards of passing.
We got a dual threat quarterback, my friend.
A legitimate dual.
We knew we had an arm, but they were talking about Sunday night.
We're talking about The Patriots are working on his throwing mechanics and you're starting to see his accuracy get even better, right? And that's exactly what it is.
He really is gonna be such a dual threat because he could sit back there and throw in the pocket like he's a pocket passer like another quarterback.
But he can also get out there and run men.
They're gonna be able to do whatever they want week to week, depending on what defense they're going against.
Do you believe the Patriots need another receiver? Or do you think that they can compete with the receivers they have? I mean, they can definitely compete with what they have.
I'd be kind of happy to see them get somebody else.
But if they don't, I still think they're going to succeed, whether they do or not.
So Thomas Cara net A of musket fire? Yep.
Hey, believes that the Patriots don't need a receiver.
I think if they don't get one, they'll still be all right.
I want to see what happens with the tight ends to once they get healthy.
I just think of the prospect of Odell Beckham Jr on, and I know it's I know it's wishful thinking.
Ideo like I know that this isn't like I know.
It's more than likely not gonna happen.
Yeah, but I just I don't know, dude.
I I I want him so bad, right? Him or Alan Robinson, one of the two that I mean, that would be awesome.
I would not be upset if they did that, but now I've heard I've heard that there's interest in that guy from Detroit.
Which one? The receiver from Detroit.
Marvin Jones. Yeah.
I've heard that there's rumors that that could be a week.
Six trade? Yeah.
Would you take down with that? Yeah.
Yeah, You'd be good with Marvin Jones.
I would. I wouldn't say no to Marvin Jones.
Do you want me to tell you why current doesn't believe that the Patriots need a receiver? Yes.
Let me let me tell you his reasoning.
Then you could tell me whether you agree with him or think he's an idiot.
We're not going to sit here and pretend like an upgrade in the form of a number one receiver.
Or perhaps an actual real NFL tight end won't drastically improve the Patriots.
But when Newton is spreading the ball through the air, avoiding pressure and picking up yards on the ground, it kind of doesn't matter who's on your team.
Unless you're trading for, like, Julio Jones or something.
The Patriots won't be getting their hands on any top tier talent like that.
Odell Beckham is not happening, So camp might be right here.
The answers are in the locker room.
Noone spread the ball around. Very good.
Against the Seattle defense, Nikkila Harry had eight catches for 72 yards, the mere Bird at six for 72.
Julian Edelman had a career night with eight receptions for 179 yards.
Rex Burkhead held in four for 47.
It'd be nice if a tight end could get set up for the Pats.
Maybe that's coming in next.
In the next week or two, J. J.
Taylor looks like a promising rookie.
James White will hopefully be back next week.
The installment of the Patriots offense might not blow you away on paper, but if we've learned anything over the last two decades, it's that the system in New England that breeds success.
If all goes, if all these parts could successfully undertake role, then what we saw in Week two could be a sign of things to come.
If that trend continues over the next month, do not expect Belichick to execute any significant trades.
That kind of makes sense.
I mean, that's what I'm kind of thinking.
If they don't go out there and get like a top tier wide receiver, I mean, I take someone like Marvin Jones But like I said earlier, if they don't get somebody, I still think they're gonna be successful.
So what do you think? The differences here between this year and last year? I mean, Dimier Bird is not an upgrade over Josh Gordon.
E think he's pretty much Philip Door set.
Hey, might be in a He might be an upgrade over door set, but he's definitely not an upgrade over Gordon.
And then you're still running with Jacoby Meyers, Nikkila Harry and Julian Edelman e right.
The only difference, I guess, is that Cam Newton can actually scramble on groove, the football on the ground and honestly, right now, he just looks like he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Yeah, and I think I I think I said this last night.
I said, I'm listen, maybe at the end of the year will turn around and say, Hey, Tom Brady was the best quarterback or the better quarterback than Cam Newton this season, and I can accept that if he is.
If Tom Brady continues, you know, to do what he's done, you know his entire career than fine, we can concede.
He went on a team that had better weapons.
He executed better.
He played well, you know.
He's still to go. Whatever.
I'm not going. I won't argue it if it's true.
But I will argue that.
I believe Cam Newton was the better quarterback for this team.
Yeah, and I think the Patriots needed a Cam Newton.
They needed a guy who was going to come in and have some swag, have some positive attitude, not have a miserable eight.
No quarterback, you know, build some confidence with Doughboy, like, you know, um, what an awful nickname, too.
By the way for your quarterback to call you dough boy.
Yeah, seriously, I hope it's like dough.
Like money. Yeah.
If not, it doesn't that insinuate that someone's kind of overweight, right? Yeah. I don't know. Doughboy.
Isn't that like the Pillsbury Doughboy? That's what I went, but maybe means money.
Or maybe it's a slang that you and I don't know.
Yeah, that could be too, but yeah, you know, it's Ah, I do like it's I think they needed Cam Newton.
They needed something.
Just looks different.
It feels different. It feels more revitalized.
I don't know. I feel like it's exciting.
It's definitely a different feel.
We're about to get into our week three picks here.
By the way, how's your mom doing this year? Um, she came in second place in the league that I'm in last week, but I didn't announce him.
I did him yesterday, but definitely good.
I have to go back and look definitely better than me last week.
Yeah, I didn't have a great week.
Last e I forget what I had.
I went with some long shots.
So last week I was I was trying to find the upsets.
I I had four games wrong. Yeah.
In a week that a lot of other teams had had better.
Better games are a week that people had ah, lot of things.
Right, uh, watching on YouTube.
But everyone on the feet is having issues with the feed lagging.
E guess we're lagging on YouTube. That sucks.
Do you have bad weather up there? No, but I got bad internet today.
Sorry for the lagging guys.
Um, we're way behind on the livestream there. Oh, my God.
Really? Like, dude, I just clicked on the YouTube live stream.
That's apparently live at this moment.
Yeah, and it's we're still talking about the dynasty.
Always way behind.
Yeah, eso I don't know if I think we're skipping.
I think we're jumping parts here, boy, I don't know.
They've got 32 minutes of live stream and we're at 43 minutes.
So there were, like, 11 minutes behind or something? Yeah, Or were or were just losing things.
Maybe you missed some good stuff, but before we get into the week one, that's you know what? I don't want to say it, but it Z I don't think it's lagging on SportsCastr.
I'm watching it.
We're here and we're to the were literally a two second difference between what we're saying live toe.
What's broadcasting on SportsCastr right now? Because I'm listening to his bullet talk.
It's not a screwing me up because it's a double different thing, so I don't know.
It's Ah, try it over here on SportsCastr.
Come on over and thank you, Joe, for pointing this out to us.
Um all right, so we're gonna get into our week One picks here in just a second.
But I do wanna get you with a couple quick hits here.
Okay? So you tweeted out to me.
What could have been? What's the tweet of the year candidate? You? It caught me.
It was one of those ones.
Like I like that caught me.
But the fake Bill Belichick on Twitter posted a picture of that wonderful outfit yesterday that Bill Belichick war.
Yeah, um, with, you know, the ripped up shirt and all.
And I said I got attacked by a bear on the way to the press conference, and you quote tweeted it and said the bears, out 6 to 8 weeks e check would somehow strategically beat up a bear.
Right? I think that look, I'm not confident in our coach that if he if Belichick had to fight a bear Yep, I am confident Bill Belichick would beat the bear.
That's all that would come.
The bear just scratch up is shared a little bit.
And then Belichick would fight him off and go to the press conference like nothing ever happened.
Start talking about next week.
I agree. A million million 1%.
He would be gone to the Raiders.
Well, the bear was he put up a good fight, put up a good fight.
You had a lot of good things to show, but we're just focused on Las Vegas right now.
All right? Dude, man, I don't know if you saw this Julian Edelman take a shot of Tom Brady on Instagram.
What did he say? So he posted a picture from last week Of all the teammates together in the tunnel.
And the caption was Quote, you need to stay close to your people that were there when others could have been.
Kind of sounds like he did.
Now, Julian Edelman is known for his quotes.
But the story today or the last couple of days is is did Julian Edelman take a shot at Tom Brady? I never look into social media posts like I don't care that kind of thing.
I know unless, like, there's direct fights like I love watching Michael Thomas on Twitter because, you know, he's just gonna have a meltdown and just called blob.
But, I mean, the messaging is definitely something that you people could interpret.
The picture didn't include him and Cam Newton together.
It was just him and the whole Patriots team.
Do you believe that? That was a shot at Sir Thomas Brady.
It sounds like it was a shot at somebody saying that they could have been there.
I mean, it certainly sounds like he was trying to put some message out there.
It was an interesting one.
Um, I'm not prepared to say he was taking a shot of Tom Brady.
I'm just prepared to say hm like he was trying to say something.
Let's file that under your right on last question.
Do you think the Patriots defense will bounce back after getting beat up pretty bad in Seattle last week? Yes.
I think they're gonna hold, uh, the Raiders.
I keep on to call them, uh, Oakland, the Las Vegas Raiders.
I think they're gonna hold them the 20 points or less.
I'm going to say less.
I'm gonna say less.
Dude, who would you have taken tonight? Would you have taken the Miami Dolphins with the Jacksonville Jaguars? I am in a pick him cool.
And I took the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I think they're losing.
I I took Jacksonville as well.
They are losing.
I believe it's Yes.
21 to 7 at the How A lot of games for the Miami Dolphins.
We're not seeing Minshew mania running wild tonight.
Uh, but I would have taken Jacksonville is Well, I am perfect this year on on Thursday Night Football.
Oh, no, I hope that I go to three, you know, today, but 21 7 lots of football left, but big start.
All right, You ready to go through these games? I'm ready.
Let me just, uh maybe if I pulled them up, that would make sense.
Say, yeah, we go, you know, pick the games that are, actually we can actually see.
So, like I said, I didn't have the greatest weeks last week.
I got four wrong, but let's start with this week. Interesting.
Eastern time on Fox, the two and oh, Chicago Bears air traveling to Atlanta to take on the Oh, and to Atlanta Falcons.
73% of players on ESPN are taking Atlanta.
Are you going with the crowd or you going against the grain and take in Chicago.
This is such a tough one for me.
We're going to really see what Atlanta is made of after they blew that huge lead verse.
The Cowboys last week.
What? What a horrible way to lose.
I think the Bears were the better team.
Uh, I'm gonna take Atlanta, E.
I think that this is a game that's going to define both these teams seasons.
I think that this is a proven game for both of them.
I think that Chicago has been playing over their head, and I'm gonna take Atlanta to win this game as well.
All right, the other one o'clock PM Eastern time.
Game is another test.
And this is, I think, the test, um game.
The Los Angeles Rams under two.
And, oh, we're traveling to Buffalo to take on the Buffalo Bills.
60% of players are choosing the Bills to defeat the Rams.
Who do you got winning this game? Another really good, really close game.
Uh, I'm gonna go the Rams.
I just think they're gonna have a bounce back year, But it's gonna be a really good game.
I went against the grain as well and took the L. A. Rams.
I think that the Bills have had they played the Jets and they played the Dolphins.
Um, I will call them on their schedule because they called the Patriots on their schedule last season.
I think that the Rams have been tested and came through, and I think that they're gonna be hungry for this game.
Josh Allen has played well, but I think the Rams have something to prove both these or something to prove.
I think the Rams walk away with this wind.
Uh, then you've got the Cincinnati Bengals going on against the Philadelphia Eagles, both teams owing to Carson Wentz has looked off, but 76% of players are taking the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Cincinnati Bengals corner.
I'll start this one.
I believe in Joe mixing.
I think Joe Burrow is gonna get his first win. I think a J.
Green's gonna go off.
I think they're gonna sack the crap out of Carson Wentz.
I'm going against the grain.
I'm taking the Cincinnati Bengals.
I am also taking the Bangles after I heard Joe Burrow say he's never lost two games in a row, And I think the Eagles are Dumpster fire right now.
They look big, Brutal thing.
This one shouldn't look interesting, but it could be interesting.
You got the football team football team facing the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland.
Both teams one and 1 82% of ESPN users are picking Cleveland.
I am going as well with the Cleveland Browns.
This is a tough one.
We're going to see what Baker Mayfield could do.
I know that the Washington football team has a very good front seven.
I'm gonna take the Browns too, though, just because they're at home.
And like my boy chases there, my boy.
Uh, Dwayne is there, you know Oh, s u the Ohio State University.
Um, cheer those guys on, but I think the other I think the real Ohio team's gonna win it today.
Herb winning on Sunday.
I think it's a Cleveland game as well as I said on.
And then we got another interesting one is the two and no Tennessee Titans taking on the Oh, and to Minnesota Vikings Last night when we did what I did these pics with Joe, it was almost a 50 50 split on who was gonna win.
Yeah, The users have now gone 77% choosing the Tennessee Titans to win this game on with the in crowd.
I'm taking Tennessee.
I'm gonna take the Vikings owing to they have to win.
You can't goto on three.
One thing I said to Joe last night, Waas Every time you want to count the Vikings out, they always have a game.
That kind of sucks you back into maybe making you believe that there a decent team and this could be a week.
But I'm with that, But I'm still going with Tennessee.
So you have record in your pick and pull, right? Yeah.
And I have my pick and pull your too.
So perhaps you and I could Next week we'll look at you who we picked, and we'll see who got more right.
And then we'll see if your mom beat us both.
We'll see. We'll see.
This one's a super interesting game to me.
Ah, lot more interesting than I think some people think.
But the San Francisco 40 Niners No Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Bosa.
Most of our no kittel are facing the shaquan.
Barkley lists New York Giants, 87% of users are taking the 40 Niners.
I have gone against the grain here and went with the 13% and I'm taking the New York Giants because as soon as shaquan went down, the Giants offense changed and my boy Adam Albright tonight from is from SportsCastr News set it to, and I thought it was perfect when a bad.
Sometimes when a bad team has a star player, he can be more of a hindrance.
Whereas when a great team as a star player, he pushes them over the edge to win a Super Bowl.
I'm going with the Giants.
I'm gonna stay with the 40 Niners.
But that's gonna be a tough game, just with all the injuries.
And the Giants are bound to win one soon.
The Las Vegas Raiders air taking on the New England Patriots.
We've broken this game down a lot already today.
Only way to go too much into it.
74% of users are picking the Patriots.
You **** right it should be 100% or 98.
Let's, um, let's, um, Raiders homers.
Patriots win this game.
All right, man, you got this.
One is an interesting, interesting game to me.
I think that they're showing a little bit of disrespect to the Houston Texans.
But they're facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
85% of pick of of users are picking the Steelers to win this game.
This is a tough one.
This is a tough one to may.
I'm gonna take I want to take Houston just because they're going to And the two games that they did lose to where? The Baltimore on the Chiefs.
But this is gonna be a really tough game for them.
I'm gonna go with Houston.
If they lose, I think their season's over.
Tough way to start your season, right? Start with Kansas City, then go to Baltimore and then go to Pittsburgh, Right? I wanna pick Houston so badly, e.
I have to go with Pittsburg.
They've looked good. Their defenses looked sharp.
I know they struggled a bit at the end of the game with the Giants, but I think they're better than a lot of people.
Think I'm gonna go with them as well.
Here is the one that I think is the funniest.
So Lawrence eyes is you know, Lawrence.
He's a Colts fan, and so he does the same way I do My Monday podcast on the Patriots.
He does a Friday podcast on the coals for SportsCastr talking to, you know, pre games and all this kind of stuff, not podcast live shows, e.
I don't know why you call on the podcast.
Our live shows on SportsCastr eso.
He's asked me to come on tomorrow.
He can't get a jet sky.
So he figured since I'm a fan of a team in the division and gives him insight on the Jets, I don't even what I'm gonna say tomorrow, the Jets or just really bad colds gonna win.
97% of users have chosen the Indianapolis Colts to beat the New York Jets.
Are you one of the 3% or are you one of the 97%? I'm one of the 97%.
I think the Jets were gonna win a couple games this year, and they're going to surprise us randomly.
Thio, pick the Jets yet, though.
Did you see they're trying to get Adam gays fired? They're trying to get out of gays fired.
And now, though, but ah, bunch of Patriot fans.
And I want everybody to do this.
We need to get this trending hashtag extend Adam Jace by Patriot fans on we're calling upon you.
Call calling upon them hashtag extend Adam gays.
I can't remember where I saw that first today, but it made me laugh so much.
All right, buddy.
Now we're getting into the four o'clock games.
Really, really tough game to pick here.
The Carolina Panthers versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Oh, man, that is a really tough game to pick.
92% are picking L.
Really, Um, yeah, I, too.
I'm gonna pick L. A.
I mean, I told I called Anthony Lynn.
By the way, Just so you know, this offseason, him and I got a tight relationship.
And I said, Why are you hiring a doctor named Herbert, right? Why you hiring a doctor? Herbert, Did you not see who you just drafted? He's gonna sabotage Tyrod to make sure Herbert gets the play.
And sure enough, he did.
Um, I say that tongue in cheek.
Obviously, Anthony Lynn has no idea who I am, but like I figure.
Most people don't know who I am.
I am assuming that 99% of the people watching us right now we're sitting here going Who the hell are these idiots? Z and for all of you calling us stupid and calling us dumb and that we don't know.
We know we're stupid and dumb.
You know that, Zatz? The best part, the best part is is we're stupid and dumb and we get paid to talk to do this and you're watching.
You're watching you all take yourselves to serious.
It's football. Relax.
Um, I'm going to L A. I'm going with Justin.
I think he could leave these guys to a playoff in the next couple of years, right? I think so too.
One was the one and one should be owing to Dallas Cowboys air going against the deservingly, too.
And, oh, I survived the New England Patriots Seattle Seahawks.
88% of users are picking Seattle to win this game.
I think that they're disrespecting Seattle with the other 12%.
I'm going with Seattle.
The Beat Dallas.
I'm gonna take the upset.
I'm gonna take Dallas.
You have to explain yourself, sir.
I feel like Seattle by to put it all on the line there on Sunday night.
And after that enormous comeback Cowboys gonna be riding high.
I think there's gonna be big offensive explosion, both sides of the ball.
Well, we're deaf.
I'm definitely expecting a shootout.
I said this to Joe yesterday.
I said, I kind of wanted to pick the Cowboys.
Yeah, because the Cowboys came back and stole the game from Atlanta.
They really did.
The Seahawks survived the Patriots, you know, and that's two different mentalities.
You know, it was like, You know, I remember watching America's game after the six Super Bowl talking about the Miami miracle.
No Patriots player walked into that dressing room believing they lost that feeling like they lost that game.
I mean, they knew they lost their disappointed, but they knew they basically one, so they felt good about themselves going forward.
All right, so you're going with Dallas on the upset.
I'm still gonna go with Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. Eastern time.
The top obey drunken ears off.
A big drunken ears are going against another beat up team in Denver.
No, Lindsey, I forget his first name.
Von Yeah, they still have Doha still of Jerry, But I gotta go with with Tampa Bay.
What about you? I am also going to take the drunken ears and that one.
Yeah, and we're going with 93% of users as well.
I made a bet this off season with Joe a blueberry pie bet.
And the loser at the end of the season has to put an entire blueberry pie in their face on camera.
And I chose that the Detroit Lions would make the playoffs this year.
Oh, boy, I told Joe I'm ready to put the pie in my face now.
Yeah, pretty soon. Yeah.
Just concede, head.
They need to trade, match Stafford and let him play for a competitive team.
And give that kid a chance to do something in the NFL.
Because you've wasted what's, in my opinion, a top 10 talent in the NFL.
They're playing the Arizona Cardinals.
Kyler Murray is a stud.
I have a man crush on him.
Yeah, he's throwing the ball to DeAndre Hopkins.
It's disgusting watching like they're like kids.
They're, like, two of, like, the top athletes in the school, just like playing with everybody else at recess.
Right? And I think they're going to destroy the New England Lions or the Detroit Patriots.
Whatever way. You wanna look at it, I agree.
I have the Cardinals wholeheartedly there.
And hey, Detroit just signs of ball shared.
So they're really becoming the old Oh, my goodness.
Did they really? Yeah, but I think Arizona's gonna smoke them. Yeah.
Then we got a couple of crackers, buddy.
Sunday Night Football, NBC catch the pregame show here on SportsCastr exclusively on SportsCastr news at 7 p.
Eastern Time, Where me, Joe and, uh, me, Joe and Lawrence, they've changed up our whole schedule.
So you always forget him with me.
Joe and Lawrence had the pregame for that 7 p.m. Eastern time.
Here, Live on, SportsCastr.
You got the Green Bay Packers going up against the New Orleans Saints.
A 58% of people are taking the Packers, so it's It's a pretty close piece.
Oh, we'll see what the Saints are made of.
No, Michael Thomas.
Yeah, and I heard I learned something interesting yesterday or the day before.
So Michael Thomas is injury is being treated by the Green Bay Packers doctors.
They specialize in the injury that Michael Thomas has.
That means that the Green Bay Packers doctor has to sign off Michael Thomas whether or not he can play Sunday night against the Packers.
Yeah, he's sitting out.
Um, I think even if he comes back, I still got the Packers. Aaron Rodgers.
It was like a man possessed, right? Aaron Rodgers looks like he's in his prime right now.
I'm gonna have to take the Packers to, you know, it was phenomenal is you see how Russell Wilson's playing? You see how Aaron Rodgers playing still Kyler Murray is playing, And yet there's still Buffalo Bills fans screaming that Josh Allen is an M V P candidate.
And then the Monday nighter buddy, a game that I am excited, excited.
I predicted that this game is gonna end 34 to 31.
Sounds about right, the Kansas City Chiefs, too, and so are traveling to Baltimore to and oh, yeah, dude, Lamar versus Mahomes.
This is very much the Brady versus manning of this generation of quarterback percent.
Who you got, man? I am going to Thio Baltimore.
I've got Baltimore winning this game 2.
This is Mark Jackson game where he is going to need to prove this whole team needs to prove that they could do this.
If they beat the Chiefs, do you crown them the top team in the A F c? Or do you still have the chief sitting there? They still have to come through New England.
So you got New England sitting at the top thing.
This is no no car.
This is why I love you, man.
This is why I mother effin love you because I'm talking about who's now who's number one, Baltimore, Kansas City, and you're like they haven't played New England yet.
No one is talking about the Patriots right now.
Man, I've been written off all of a sudden.
Well, I had the Patriots after signing Cam Newton is number three in the sea.
I don't think that they I don't think they got ranked in the top five in power rankings this week.
A little disappointing, but I had a scan this city because of the defending champions Baltimore in the Patriots.
Kansas City, Baltimore Patriots.
It's gonna be Two of those teams are gonna be in the A F C championship and you're putting New England at the top.
Ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first.
If you ever wanna ask me when people ask me, Ray, why did you pick Corner To be your co host? You could have picked anybody in the world.
You had people banging at your door to be your co host.
This is why I picked corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's now time to go through the long list of what Connor and I do every single week.

And on top of all of this stuff, man, I have a full time day job during the day.
Time day job, a wife, two kids in a puppy and a puppy.
But I do I have when people say to me, you know, and I gotta look, I gotta give Joe a big shout out Joe, formerly a d p n.
Even though he doesn't, he's no longer on the payroll.
I still consider him a part of d p n.
I consider him a close friend.
He's been there for me when I need it.
And he wrote me on Tuesday night after we went through the list of what I do during the week and worried about me legitimately worried about me.
I love it because nobody else worries about me, you know, they all just kinda Well, look what you dio you worried about him.
He told me, Take time for yourself and calm.
It's what I do, man.
That's my Fridays and Saturdays is what I do.
But at the same time, I've got the best life in the world.
I got a family who loves me.
I got a puppy I love.
I'm not sure if the puppy loves me, but I love it.
Yeah, I got a good job that pays me too much money during the day.
Yeah, and then, Yeah, I work a lot and I do a lot of double and triple shows, and I got commitments I got to do.
But, dude, I get paid to talk about sports like who else? You know, like, I'm not gonna complain.
It's not like it's not like my second job is stocking shelves or lugging brick or, you know, doing something that's actual work, where you know people who actually work.
You put in the hard work.
I get to talk to people like you.
I get to talk to my boys on SportsCastr news.
I get to interact with audiences, and SportsCastr pays me a handsome salary that I don't deserve either to talk sports.
So yes, I'm very busy.
But I love my life, man. It's good, man.
It's gets better than not being busy and have nothing to do, right? Well, exactly, man.
And you know what? If you're not working, you're not making money, you know? That's very true, you know? Absolutely.
