Now we had cut a podcast.
The file corrupted.
We didn't do bad at the predictions, but not that I was saying that some things are We're a surprise, but I think Roman Yosi off the Nashville Predators winning the Norris caught both of us off guard.
Especially with all the Hedman love going on right now as well as John Carlson having a great year.
But you know what we had said on the last podcast? We cut that there wasn't a bad selection when it came to the Norris Trophy, and it ends up going to Roman Josi in Nashville.
What are your thoughts on that? Uh, I did say on the pod.
There's no way they could have made a mistake on that one if they gave it to any of the three defenseman.
I wasn't gonna complain.
I wasn't gonna start a riot.
Roman Yosi is one of the most offensively gifted defenseman in the NHL, and he also complained defense.
He's one hell of defensive defenseman as well.
He's the complete total package.
Any team would be lucky tohave Yosi.
Uh, it's kind of a bummer that he's in a market like Nashville.
That's not like quite as big, and we don't get to see him as often, but he is a hell of a player, and he's not like a Tory crew that's like just offense.
Or like a just like Brenden Dillon, who's just a defensive defenseman.
He's the complete package.
Yeah, man, I mean, one of those all around great hockey players on the back end.
You know, things haven't really panned out for the Nashville Predators the way that I kind of thought they were going Thio.
I thought that the Predators would have won a Stanley Cup in this window with all that they have, you know, the last 7 to 8 years.
And, you know, you saw the loss against Vegas the other year.
That was tough on them.
And then they end up moving.
James Neal out and he ends up going to Vegas.
And that was crazy.
And, you know, um, I'm happy for Roman Yosi.
They couldn't have made a mistake there, um, moving it onto the Calder Trophy.
My car runs away with it over Quinn Hughes.
I thought, maybe only because Quinn who stayed healthy for the whole year, that would give him a shot in the Canadian market thing.
But now it was Kale, my car all day long and twice on Sunday, he brought home the Calder Trophy for the NHL's best defenseman are sort of best rookie, Uh, as a defense in which we all know in the NHL is super hard to do.
That's the hardest position you can play.
Uh, as a young man in this league, I think it's grueling.
These guys were so big, so fast, and the way that he held it all together and the performance he put on in the bubble.
I know that doesn't matter when it comes to the voting, but just further validated.
The point of like, Kalma Car was the NHL rookie of the year this year.
You gotta love to see that, although Quinn uses pretty good in the bubble two.
Hell, yeah, both of the man, which is crazy.
And you know what? Even all three guys that were nominated were defenseman.
To see in itself public from the Chicago Blackhawks was the third was the third nominated guy.
He finished third place in voting.
I mean, I think they made the right call with Kale my car, but just the defensive talent in the NHL right now.
It's pretty unbelievable.
Yeah, so many young defense.
And then you have high skin.
And obviously, in the Stanley Cup finals here, he's young, too.
Yeah, man, it z gonna be a run for the Norris soon and not the colder.
That's what I mean.
It could be a soon as you know, usually the second year and defenseman or a little is a little challenging.
I'm interested to see how both guys handle that.
The sop****re slump tends to come for players on the defensive side of the ice.
I think that you being a Boston Bruins fan would understand that with Charlie Boy.
I think he had a bad second season.
Um, I want to say, Shout up, Thio Cubs fan and hiding.
Thanks for being in the, uh, in the stream today, but yeah, man, I think that we'll see how everything goes for those guys.
But like you said, these were gonna be the Norris conversations for many years to calm. Kalma car.
Quinn use Google League.
There's a ton of young guys Charlie McAvoy, we just mentioned will probably jump in to erase here sooner rather than later, because I think that his career will start to explode.
But all things considered pretty cool.
Then you go on over to the Vezina Trophy.
Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets brings home the Vezina Trophy this year, led the NHL and shout outs.
Took a very story defensive team into the playoffs into the bubble.
Um, didn't really work out the way you wanted it to.
And to be honest, I thought to cure ask of the Boston Bruins was gonna win that award.
I thought the goals against me in the top, the same percentage being the top up there and wins.
And his team finished first.
I thought was he was second in shut outs as well.
Like, I know that he was playing in front of a much better team, but Connor Halibut gets it.
I I was just glad that both of us saying that Andrei Vasilevskiy should have been third place in voting.
That is how it ended up.
So, you know, you see some of the votes and you wonder how these blue check marks get get a vote in this process because of some of the guys that you see.
But I was glad to see that they took that award seriously.
And it wasn't just in Andrei Vasilevskiy love fest, which we were both concerned about. Yeah.
I was very concerned about that, and I actually had picked held back and I thought, Hell, bec should have won it, because if you look it those heat maps of where the shots came from all season, it is like dark red directly in front of hello back.
His defense was atrocious.
They with that Sorry team.
They shouldn't have been in the bubble.
The only reason they were there was Connor Hellebuyck.
That team was awful without him.
Yeah, I tend to agree with that man.
I really agree with that.
I think that if Connor how Buck wasn't a net, they would probably have been in the last frontier sweepstakes.
So I was that good this year.
And I think, Yeah, I mean, when you really factor in the terrible team that he played in front of our behind story the team that played in front of them, I think that they went with the right call there.
I personally like it.
Um, moving on Thio the gen.
Or what was it? The Ted Lindsay Award went thio to the Leon dry cycle of the Houston Oilers.
What a season he had 100 and 10 points.
Led the Oilers 1.
55 goals up points per game this season.
In this modern day NHL, that's almost unheard of rate.
You know, if he would have got the full season and he would have really went after, but Kucherov did this season before, so scoring is back in the NHL.
Seidel voted as the players consensus.
Best player of the season.
I don't think either one of us had a complaint about that.
No, I was worried that that wasn't going to go to him because I knew that everyone knew he was getting the heart.
So I was worried that they were gonna go with ****eryn.
And I think he should have finished third in that which I believe he did.
But, uh, yeah, but absolutely.
I mean, Dr Title deserved it.
He stood, He stood up when MK David went down and he carried that Edmonton Oilers team.
He showed his value to that team without Connor McDavid's and he didn't play much with Connor.
This year they separated him, so he showed what a good player he really is.
It's not because of MK David.
Try said it was just that good.
I said it was just a **** good player, man and absolute **** good player on then, of course, the Hart Trophy was brought home, of course again by Leon Dry Seidel.
It was dry Seidel, Pasternak and Panera and that were nominated high end a bell.
Welcome to the podcast.
It's Pasternak, It's ****eryn and it's dry.
And the way that it ended up was it went dry.
McKinnon finished second Panera and finished third.
Pasternak finished fourth.
Now here's a question I want to pose to you, and I'm a big believer in Nate MacKinnon.
And believe me, I think that there's even an argument to be had the McKinnon MK David.
I'm not kidding.
I think he's that good.
But based on the season, then the guys nominated and everything else do you think that some of the writers let this playoff bubble and the play of MacKinnon influence their vote? Because, I mean, for a guy not nominated to jump into second place in any award is pretty remarkable.
Or was that just a case of the NHL? Made a bad call with their nominations off the hot.
I kind of think the NHL made a bad call with their nominations because if you watched this season, I think like read the stats out of it.
The best players where Connor MK David MacKinnon too.
They were one and two and I mean, I just I think the NHL made a bad call.
You can't watch Nathan MacKinnon and not see how he carries that Colorado Avalanche team.
He is their offense.
They, you know, and a lot of people.
A lot of people forget Jack, not to cut you off.
But when he had his resurgence, when he wasn't playing so great, McKinnon Landeskog was almost dead.
They almost shipped him to Boston for Brandon Carlo, and Don Sweeney pulled out of that deal.
Landeskog, you see, look, Landeskog and ranting.
And now I agree.
It doesn't matter that they're on a that they're on a big line.
It matters that he makes those guys better.
It's like the Patrice Bergeron effect.
You can't fault him for playing with Marshawn and Pasternak because he's the guy who makes those guys better.
Same **** thing, in my opinion, absolutely.
Landeskog has a tendency to to sleep for weeks on end.
He's not a consistent player, but when you're playing with Nathan MacKinnon, you don't have to be that good toe look good.
You just gotta gonna get to the net, put your stick down and and, you know, buy into four checking.
And he has He's done a great job on that line.
You know, with the Pasternak, Bergeron and Marchand line in Boston and a couple a couple other lines across the NHL.
You could maybe make the argument, but those were the two bass.
What are they putting in that water And Halifax with Sidney Crosby, Brad Marchand, McKinnon All coming from the same little town right there.
That's well there from Coal Harbor.
Which is? No, just outside. Yeah.
I mean, I don't know.
They breed hockey players out there, man.
It's a different way of life out there to like, the life that I live in.
Ontario, Um, is much different than the life.
You live like candidates, crazy man.
Because it's such a big country, right? Where? The second biggest country in the world as faras Masco, um, population way down.
Which makes it pretty sweet, right? So out that way, like, it's really small town community stuff.
Sitting McCann in our our great friends.
Marshawn, they all trained together when you saw the Canada Cup team and you saw Sidney Crosby playing with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand.
That was Sidney Crosby going to the Hockey Canada guys he had Sidney Crosby a single handedly made hockey Canada respect Patrice Bergeron when it was back.
And I think, what, 2010 when the when Bergeron was first on the team, and that was Crosby like he was like, This is one of the best players in the game and Claude Giroux A little fun factor.
People watching at home.
Claude Giroux will never play for Team Canada as long as Sidney Crosby's playing because Sidney Crosby make sure that Claude Giroux ain't there because he hates it.
****ing guns legit.
That's why he wasn't and he wasn't even on the last Canada Cup team cloth through.
You're gonna tell me he couldn't have been on the fourth line center role or whatever.
Are the last World Cup Thio? That's because Sidney Crosby hates his guts and he wouldn't even play on the same.
And he doesn't even want to be in the same room. Is Claude Giroux.
They broke each other's wrists and ****.
That one playoffs.
Remember the slash on the rest, Crosby broke his wrist.
E did not know that guide sometimes, bro.
Yeah, he broke his wrist in that last playoff series, and I think the I think the Flyers actually ended up winning.
That is a couple years ago.
But moving on here, Jack, I want to talk about the NHL.
Put out a hype video yesterday highlighting the sacrifices that these guys make the win.
The Stanley Cup.
It was highlights of guys, block and shots.
I saw Clutterbuck, who's just from up the road, and well into her Paul Bissonnette from shoutout Thio.
All well and hockey players.
Well, and there's something in the water and well and that breeds crazy hockey players like Clutterbuck Bissonnette.
Nathan Horton played his junior there.
Guys like that, right? And I think it's all the mess that gets hard.
Guys, hard nose guys, man.
Exactly. And they were.
So anyway, the NHL puts out this video on their Twitter page.
They're highlighting all these great blocks and and just saying like, this is what they've sacrificed to be here right now.
And it was a bunch of guys coming off hurting whatever.
And let's bring her up here because I don't want to say her name incorrectly.
So give me one second, because it is difficult and I have a hard time pronouncing ****ing common names.
Anything that gives me an H or J.
I'm gonna have a little bit of Ah, a little bit of a tough time with if they're together.
So give me just half of a second year because I really want to make sure.
Um, I really want to make sure make sure we mail it home, so Yeah, her name is, uh, Hammel.
Have Ari, I'm going to say Hm. Olive Ari.
She's a sports and pop culture writer at U S.
Today, Um, and she works on their show for the wind.
She used to work for politico.
So you can tell what side of the aisle she kind of goes on as faras um, Where were thought process would be coming from.
And she retweeted it and said that the NHL was quote unquote disgusting for putting out, um, that kind of video and showing them get injured.
Um, first off, what are your thoughts on? Just just that in general.
Um, she said, hold on.
This is so gross about them saying this is what it takes to win the cops.
I'm going to get there was another quote within their that she gave that I thought was just ****ing secular.
Um, Now I'm gonna talk about some of the bad responses I saw, too.
Which don't ****ing help.
Um, she says watching these guys, whether in pain on the ice, is actually sickening.
That's not the appeal of the playoffs.
We need to work towards making the game and safer to play and not holding tight.
This toxic bs hockey fan boys and mentions blocking shots is what it takes.
Pain makes you a real man.
Ryan Kesler, actual NHL player, ended up ****ing blood 30 times a day because of pain management.
Um, so I don't know what that's about with Ryan Kesler and if he takes bloody ****s or not.
But certainly you're never gonna find an NHL guy that wouldn't lay out, Man.
I play in a men's ball hockey league, and if we're playing in the playoffs and someone's even if it's not someone's rifling a shot from the point like I'm getting in front of it like I'm gonna it's gonna I have bruises all over me.
When I play that sport, man, my chest.
I've taken him up in the face like I don't wear a cage.
You're a ****ing shield.
I do wear a Bucky in case I take one off the side of the head.
I'm not trying to get knocked out, but certainly, man, what the **** is going on with these people? If you love hockey, shout out Robert.
Thanks for the follow brother.
What's that? If you love hockey, you love this sport because they're the toughest guys on the planet.
They will do anything to win the Stanley Cup.
Patrice Bergeron played with a punctured Wang.
He couldn't even breathe.
And he's out there trying to win the cup because that's how much he cares.
These guys aren't going off because they have a cramp or this or that.
They're playing through it because it matters to them.
And that's why hockey fans love hockey.
I think she clearly doesn't love hockey, because how can you love the sport and not respect with these players are willing Todo Thio conquer the ultimate goal.
And when the Stanley Cup is a team, they will have each other's back.
They will play through pain for the guy to the left of them, for the guy to the right of them in the locker room.
They'll do whatever it takes.
And that's why I love this sport.
How can you say that's gross or disgusting and watch this sport in love it.
How do you How do you cover the game? How do you cover the game and not like that? How do you cover sports and not understand that nobody forces these guys to do that? Nobody told Clutterbuck one day that you have to throw your body in front of a shot.
He understands that that's what it takes to win the Stanley Cup, and you wouldn't find a guy that wouldn't do that in the league.
They wouldn't be there if they didn't want to do it.
I mean, I think it makes Patrice Bergeron and inspiration that he went out there and he played with a punctured lung.
Or that's a day No.
Ciara had his jaw wired shut so he could stand there on the blue line for his teammates and give it one more shot and he wasn't going down.
He said he couldn't live with himself if he didn't at least go out there and try like that's someone that I look up Thio.
Yeah, and that's the passion these guys have for the sport.
They play man and and like, you know, I'm not going to be one of those people.
That's like, Oh, I don't feel bad for guys making millions of dollars because believe me, man, it doesn't money doesn't buy you everything and being on the road and being away from your family There's still real world problems that all of us face, Uh, that that make it challenging.
So they get the money.
But you know what? It's a it's a matter of.
When is the attacks on hockey and the culture going to stop from these people that never played hockey before? That never played this sport that probably have hardly watched sport.
When is it gonna end? I don't understand.
Like what is there what is like? You see the people for the athletic or the use a today's and and and and even to a lesser I think, even far lesser extent the TSN s and the in the sports nets.
But the athletic and use a today these these papers seem to really hate the culture of hockey and everything that it stands for, and I don't like to bring politics into it.
I really like to keep politics out of hockey.
I've always maintained that, um, that hockey has enough politics, but it's almost like it's almost like it's just it's an attack on Thanks, Robert, shout out.
Um, it feels almost like an attack on, just like guys being guys.
Like what? When did this become illegal toe wannabe masculine and play a sport and be a man and go out there and do what you gotta do? When did that become toxic and bad like nobody made? You have to be that kind of guy.
There's a for everyone NHL hockey player.
There's ****ing, like, you know, 100 million people working in a ****ing desk like What the **** are you guys like? I don't understand what the **** they're talking about.
Yeah, and I am going to say that some of the comments she received are absolutely disgusting.
And they also have no place in our agreed Agreed she didn't like and like some people were out lead to anything like that.
I would apologize, but like I looked into those people that were saying the bad stuff and they don't follow us.
So that ain't on us.
Yeah, like referring to her as this ***** snowflake and stuff like That's just a bad, if not worse, it probably worse.
I don't like fighting those people with, like, ***ism and misogyny, and I don't You don't need to do that that the girl just clearly isn't qualified and and shouldn't be covering hockey.
That's enough like that's enough for people to say.
You don't need to go after her outside of that because I don't know, man, I just I don't play that ***ism.
Uh, bull****, like I don't like that she's wrong because she's wrong not because she's a woman as a that because believe this great women hockey writers that have come out and also said she's wrong.
So don't just tell me that women don't have a place in the sport covering it, because I can.
I can name you some great women that right about this sport to follow.
If you want me thio, I mean, what do you Murray right out and said, like they don't show a single dirty play in that video.
It's a part of hockey.
It is what it takes.
You have to play through pain if you want to win the cup.
So those comments get out of here like that.
Go at her for her bad take because it is a bad stocks or take sucks like like her take is garbage.
She's like they treat the players Body's like they're disposable goods meant to be sacrificed for arbitrary goals.
Yeah, athletes are tough, but it's disgusting to glorify.
They're paying for our entertainment and our consumption.
Has anyone ever told this girl about boxing or MM a.
Does she know that those air active sports in North America right now that you could go toe on event usually when there's not ****ing coronavirus where we legitimately put men in cages and they boot each other in the head and choke each other out and elbow each other while they're down and get on top of them from behind and try to break, they're ****ing arms and break their ankles and rip their ankles out of their sockets.
And she's worried about a video of guys blocking shots in the NHL and talking about how their bodies air used.
Why don't you taken issue with another ****ing sport first off and to like, do you not know that these other barbaric sports exist? And three, they exist because they're ****ing awesome and nobody makes those guys go into the cage.
Those guys are all that man.
Mike Tyson said if he wasn't a boxer, he would have been in ****ing jail.
And that's the escape.
That's the tough reality that it is for a lot of these guys.
You fight or you end up ****ing belonging to the streets where you fight and end up getting in trouble.
Um, just, ah, horrible take all around and you know what? It's it's unfortunate because I'm sure Hommel is a nice girl as a person, but these are the people that are making podcasts and online platforms like our our sites doing so great in the hockey space.
It's because people are sick of hearing this stuff like this.
This doesn't belong in the game of hockey.
Like shut the **** up.
No, it's not like just shut the **** up when it comes to hockey.
Then if you don't like it, why do you cover something like you're a journalist? You could go work for anywhere you could cover the news, you could cover this and that.
Why is it like your mission to come into sports and just stamp your agenda on it? Like I'm just gonna I'm just hearing hockey to change everything about it, Like, shot the **** up and get out of here.
If you hate hockey, you shouldn't be covering it And exactly the way people that do.
And that's not a woman issue, too.
For all the ***ist ****ing guys that were in there D m I could name you are ****ing 1000 soy boys at the ****ing athletic that hate hockey more than that girl does.
So relax on the ***ism.
Yes, she's wrong.
Because believe me, there is a bunch of ****ing sissy writers on the male end of things.
Uh, that probably outweighs the cringe level of any female writing and not there's some bad ones.
So everybody, let's pump the brakes and turn it to something positive.
Game three tonight is under.
Will be going down at what, eight o'clock? Yeah, time.
Yeah, it's going down from Edmonton, Alberta.
We have the Tampa Bay Lightning in Dallas stars deadlocked at one game apiece.
Game three is tonight.
Jack, Who's taking Game three? Why are they taking game? I think Dallas has been the best in this playoffs at adjusting on a game to game basis.
I I think Rick Bonus gets those guys on a different game plan, and I think they take it.
I think they take it with their defense.
I think they continue to keep Tampa Bay to the perimeter as they have done, even in their losses.
The Siri's or lost.
But there was just one bad period.
They had one bad period.
So I think I think Dallas will continue Thio do their game.
I think they figure something out on a fence.
I think they change up their offensive strategy a little bit, but I think they play that same defense and I think they take it.
But I think it goes down to the wire.
I know you said earlier in a tweet that you're expecting some OT tonight.
I'm going to double down on that.
I say to one Dallas in O.
T Yeah, I took the Stars in OT tonight, 3 to 2.
I think it's gonna be another tight Dallas Stars defensive snooze fast.
I think we're gonna be falling asleep on stream.
I think it's gonna be rough.
Um well, you're predicting two more goals than May. Yeah.
And I wouldn't even be surprised to see your prediction come to light.
Honestly, I think we're going to see a low scoring game.
If you're into betting, I would go over to my bookie dot a g and put in the promo code types offseason, snn, SCN doesn't matter, but disease, we're going to give you a 100% deposit bonus on every dollar you upload.
I would put smash the money on the under tonight.
I think it's 5.5.
I don't see that.
I'm on the under.
I know Barstool sports is all into the overs club right now.
I'm on the unders club tonight.
I'm taking the first period under.
I'm taking the game under, um, my bookie dot a g tarps offseason SZ N.
S, Zedd and tarps off season my bookie dot a g.
You don't have to just gamble hockey to you could gamble tons of hilarious **** on there, man.
You can bet on like the presidential election.
You can bet on like they're starting to get props out for a debate and how many times Joe Biden will **** up and there's a bunch of awesome **** that you can bet on across the Internet right now.
So go on over to my bookie dot e g types.
We have a game tonight.
Game three goes down, goes down a Tampa Bay Dallas man, I think last game, you know, the Stars had one bad period and the rest of the way, I thought they all played Tampa where they will shoot him in the second period, 18 to 5 or something like that.
It was like it was pretty, pretty drastic.
So we'll see what happens tonight.
I think I think we're gonna I don't know if here's what I'm gonna say.
It's a low scoring game.
If Dallas wins, however, if Tampa happens to win, I think they're gonna blow the doors open.
Yeah, and did we have a trade today? We did have it.
Well, you have a trade today.
We don't even know you, Kevin.
And then, um so we'll talk about it.
Kevin Weeks of NHL dot com, which is funny reported that a trade between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Florida Panthers went down.
That saw Patrick Corn fist of the pits Berg Penguins shipped to Florida for Mike Matheson, the defenseman.
They just locked up to a super long extension.
I think that was what, 2017 2018? They locked Matheson up to that deal.
Eso he still has multiple years left at about 4.
8 million, and I think Hornqvist was at about 5.
8 this year, so they save a million dollars in caps face if this trade goes through.
There was some problems going on with whoring fist in the no trade clause and and everything else, but we'll see if they end up getting through that glitch.
As it was said to Elliott Friedman source, um, that they're having in the deal, we'll see if they could get through that.
But let's assume the trade does go down.
And Pittsburgh ships Patric Hornqvist, guy who's been there for the last six seasons.
Pretty good player for them, had some injury concerns.
I I don't think they're wrong to move on for them, but to bring in Mike Matheson now you got $8 million combined between Matthew Johnson on your back end.
Is that a good idea? No.
What is in that math? I think that maths in contract is borderline bad right now.
I think it becomes awful.
And next, after next season, his modified no trade Matheson kicks in.
So you're not gonna be able to even move that contract, which is, I believe it's around 4.
Uh, that's a tough one to take on.
And if it goes sour, good luck getting rid of it out.
Yeah, No, Definitely, definitely.
So some breaking news in the culture aspect.
But I think this goes across sports as we saw the MBA and then a child shutdown games and for the police brutality stuff, I guess.
A grand jury indicted Brent hand skins on three counts off.
Wanton endangerment, no other.
And so for Briana Taylor.
I guess the cop got charged, but I don't think he got charged for murder.
So we'll see what response we see from that.
I think that will have an effect across all the sports leagues because that's such a big deal to everybody.
And I mean, I don't know tales of all of that.
But we'll see how that affect sports the rest of the way.
Going through, I know that they were gonna have a decision and I could see some protests going down if it's not the call that it should be, which sounds like these guys should have been charged.
But I don't try.
I try not to get that ****.
I try to just keep it to the ****ing sports.
But, um, one thing I wanted to talk about to you before we get out of here.
Waas Alex Pietrangelo Cam Janssen came out today and said that the offer that the blues and latest put on the table the last offer they put on the table eight years and 64 million no signing bonus, though just $8 million this season.
And that would lock Alex Pietrangelo up till he was 39 years old by the time the contract runs up because he's gonna turn 31 this summer 30 Or is he just turned 30? Either way, you'll be 38 or 39.
My question is, I'm with Cam Janssen.
He came out and said, Buddy, if you wanna If you wanna leave and go to Toronto for an extra $1 million or 30 year old defenseman? Go to die.
You're gonna leave this team for the Toronto Maple Leafs? Good luck.
Um, do you agree with Jansen there? I mean, is he wrong to kind of be grinding out for a million box? Like, I mean Vegas in Toronto? Each can't afford to pay up more than nine.
Certainly they can.
I totally agree with him.
And doesn't he love it there in ST Louis? He He's such a big part of that locker room.
He won his cup there? Yeah, he's the captain.
And he won a cup there.
Why would he not want to stay there for a million dollars? Less look like guys like Patrice Bergeron are taking for a pay cut like Nate MacKinnon home.
Nathan beginning to Yeah, Nathan MacKinnon said his next contract.
He'll take less to ensure they can still win.
Exactly Like what? Like what's a million dollars toe out the trans alot? Nothing is dog ****.
It means nothing, especially when he's got to pay tax in Ontario.
It's probably the same money budget.
I think he should just stay in ST Louis, and I think that could still happen.
I just think that he is very upset that this wasn't dealt with earlier.
I think his agents kind of probably saying, Well, let's see what's out there because you know what? You might get a crazy mother****ing team.
Remember when tomorrow's went toe went to free agency? Toronto had offered him, like 10.5.
Boston had offered him about 10 and then San Jose came in and offered 13.
And that's why the least had to end up jumping up to a million because San Jose came in and offered 13.
So, like, we'll see if a team gets crazy with Alex, Petra Angelo.
And like the Calgary Flames, for example, if they can clear some cap space there, they love building from the back end out.
Hammer ducks gone.
Um, they're gonna be looking at defense.
Oh, yeah, Alex Pietrangelo.
They love big name defenseman Mark Joe Daniels getting old.
They will be looking for a centerpiece back there.
Calgary Flames makes sense.
Vegas Golden Knights makes sense.
Toronto, me believes, makes sense.
But the most sense to me go back to ****ing ST Louis.
I think he should He should.
We have a little money on the table.
And I mean, I get where maybe hey was upset about it because they did bring in Justin fault and they traded, admits sent out of the locker room they brought in, Falk signed them, and then they brought in.
Who else did they bring in? They brought in someone else and signed them to hold on.
I want to make sure I want to make sure that I have the right guy here. Let's see.
Um, they signed.
They traded for another defenseman this year, too.
I'm gonna get it.
I'm gonna get it.
I'm looking fat.
That's exactly it.
They brought in Scandal A and ended up, like so, where they brought in Falk and brought in scandal A.
I think Petry Angela feels like they kind of already started to put the pieces together of him leaving without ever talking contract with them.
I think that's the issue that he has went down in ST Louis.
Well, I think there'd be a lot stronger if they added those pieces and kept him.
I mean, look at the blue line of the Dallas Stars.
That's what's gotten them all the way to the Stanley Cup final here.
I don't think that's a bad formula, chaps.
And you see, Look at look at ****ing Tampa Bay's defense to you got Hedman.
Circuits have nicked on Shattenkirk all playing good hockey right now.
Chur next, putting in reliable minutes.
Hell, they're getting nine or 10 solid minutes tonight from ****ing Luke Schenn Because of the guys that they're able to put around him, he hasn't even been bad.
He honestly doesn't.
I can't think on the ice with some good players, though.
No, he is, of course.
But what I'm saying is, like, they're fine enough to even protect a guy like ****ing Luke Schenn back there because of the ****ing players they have on their different When you build up four or five guys like for solid, solid players like you can have one guy that's completely ****ed.
Is your extra defenseman up there? Because they've been loving that seven the, uh but we'll see what happens.
Steven Stamkos, Everything I've heard, I think he's close.
I don't know if they're going to make the call tonight, Because if they I don't know, I think he comes back tonight.
Man, I just got the feeling I'm a little over 50% about tonight.
But if Dallas wins this game, put me in a 80%.
He's in the next game 90.
I'll go. I'll go to 1900.
If they go down to one tonight, he doesn't play.
But I'm thinking I'm about 60% tonight.
That Steven Stamkos? Yeah, I put myself around there, too.
I bet, like he's gotta be chomping at the bit to get out there.
But we'll see what happens because he saw early on the way that these guys had been off for so long when they got to the bubble.
Um, we'll see how Steven Stamkos is.
A condition is B um, how everything holds up for him.
I mean, it was what, a hernia or something like that.
He had That was the original injury.
And then they say there was a new well, our body injury, a new one, a different one.
I don't know if I believe them.
Could it be a near a leg or something? I mean, I know we broke that leg back in the day when they rammed him into the post by an accident.
They locked skates or whatever.
I don't know. We'll see.
I think that there's He's the captain.
He's been chasing the Stanley Cup.
He doesn't want to win the cop, not playing one game.
No, no, Nobody wants that man like nobody wants to be like Marc Savard on the 2011 Bruins are ****ing e.
Think you are going to see him 100% before this? Siri's is over.
I just don't know how close he is to 100% and I don't know either.
I think it's pretty far away, and if Jamal was here, she would say, That's ****ing, uh, that's that's gross that he's playing.
Yeah, it's Gross said he wants to win the Stanley E College gross if we want.
