Who are there for you, for all your roofing needs.
Listen, we to death.
We are going to talk, Sixers.
But before I even get the Sixers talk, I have to say one thing.
Two things I should say.
I wanna I wanna give a shot out.
Rest in peace to Road Warrior animal who has passed away for all my W w wrestling fans out there.
The road warriors were synonymous in my foot in my wrestling background, I started off as a wrestling journalist.
I wrote for he wrestling news.
I I've done a lot of work for, you know, w W and impact affiliates and Road Warrior Animal was one of the nicest people I've ever come across.
Hey was very transparent in his views.
Hey, was very up front and center and again, one of the best tag teams of all time.
When we talk about, you know, World Wrestling Entertainment or, you know, goes back to the N w a days with the four Hor***** and, you know, when they were synonymous for their cruise.
So well Ah, big big loss for the wrestling community today and Mr Laurinaitis out there in Rhode War Animal.
But he is with Road Warrior Hall right now.
What? You know, they are connected and they are in peace together.
Uh, the other thing I would like to say is, And this this is only gonna be for people who understand.
And it's not for any of my followers.
It's probably for the trolls that at sneak into my stream, and they have things to say in certain environments.
So just so everybody knows right now, if you're watching, you know I'm not stressed right now.
You know, your stress is a A a thing in certain situations So if you think you know what you're talking about and you think you know about what's going on, maybe you should think again and realize that you shouldn't be opening your mouth when you're not asked to add your opinion.
Just just just wanna just wanna call that out there right now, But let's get right into and high.
I see everybody out there watching, too, and those people knew I'm talking about.
But let me just let Let me just throw this out there right now.
The Philadelphia 70 Sixers lost, in my opinion, one of the guys that I was looking at.
Okay, I like Billy Donovan.
We did a great show last night.
We did a heat ratio episode 1 28.
So if you have not listened yet, please make sure you go check it out.
Replay the video through the download, give us a rate, give us a review, check us out. We had a tremendous show.
What about an hour and 30 minutes last night? Talk.
All things great.
Philadelphia Eagles discussion. Great Sixers.
Great Phillies did some national subjects of Eagles trivia.
A lot of stuff popping off last night when we look at the 70 Sixers coaching search and I'm gonna wait for hopefully my my boy.
A bomb checks in pretty soon because he has all the insight for us here in the heat ratio.
Bill Donovan was a guy I was intrigued by.
I think Billy Donovan was a prime candidate.
Well, here's what scares me.
And I matched this on the show last night with the Heat ratio was basically, you know, I really I think that the Sixers are in love with Mike D'Antoni, and I think they were in love with Mike D'Antoni before, and now it has become available again.
I think they're in love with him again.
And one of the problems I have with Mike D'Antoni is I.
I have a feeling that this is where all the CP three trade talk as being derived from.
It's no doubt coming from the simple nucleus off Mike D'Antoni and CP three.
It's almost like a package deal, and that's what it seems like it's going today and I'll be honest with you.
I am I love CP three.
I've talked about him in nauseum.
I think he's one of the best players in the N B A.
That's not talked enough about, But I also understand I mentioned all the time about father time.
He's getting older, his body is breaking down.
He cannot be the CP three that you're expecting him to be.
And I am not willing to give up Matisse.
Taibo Any trade as a young, ah young player who is ultimately our best defender away.
For a guy who's at the later stage of us off his career, that's not the trade I wanna make.
And Mike D'Antoni is not the coach that I want to see here.
This is not a Mike D'Antoni system.
You can't run this system.
Listen, you know what I I think you know, Coach Dixon said.
A great last night on the heat ratio where you know, he interjected and said, Listen, if Mike D'Antoni comes here, said goodbye to Bend, say goodbye to Joel.
I mean, you see, with Rockets did they went completely small.
Tucker was the remain guy in the middle.
Robert Covington was coming up with tremendous defensive plays in the middle.
They got rid of Clint Capela.
Remember that because they wanted to go small.
They brought in Russell Westbrook.
They relied on guys like Eric Gordon and Austin Rivers.
I mean, this is This is kind of what they did out there in Houston and and I'll be honest with you.
It didn't work because it showed that.
You know, you need some kind of a presence and I'm not saying that presence has to be, you know, one of your biggest you know, productive guys when we talk about the offensive side of the ball, but you need a presence down low, you need the other teams to think about what you're trying to accomplish when it comes about calling plays and and right now that that's why that's not the coach to me.
And I'm curious to see what's going on because you know, it came out with the Tyronn Lue interest, you know, right off the bat.
And some highly credentialed reporters had mentioned it right off the bat.
Some highly credentialed reporters have mentioned exactly what I'm talking about here.
They had said that Tyronn Lue was set to become the next head coach of the Philadelphia 76 years and they got retracted really fast and I I still keep saying the same thing.
I think this was a power struggle in the front office in the sense that I think basically what happened was Elton Brand was ready to make that move.
And the owners that we have in the upper management that we have, that that have no clue on how to run an organization.
We're like, Go Listen, we need to draw this back because that's not who we want now.
I don't want tire on a little either, but I'm just saying it's showing you that there is a power struggle going on up in that office.
There's a power struggle going on between E b and management and upper management.
I should say, because E b is management, so there's a big issue going on and we need to fix that.
First, get everybody on the same page.
I think that they're in love with D'Antoni.
Okay, I dio and I think Elton Brand is not in love with Mike D'Antoni.
So I think right there, right there what you should do If you are a new organization that has the right formula for success, you should get rid of both of those names out the back because neither off use can agree.
Okay, And it's only going to send you down a bad road because no matter what happens, somebody's gonna help the other body.
The other person, you know, in hold the other person accountable is what I'm saying.
So listen, it's a no win situation.
So if you if Elton Brand says, noted Antoni, and you know they hire him and he becomes successful out Brand looks like, Hey, you know what? You can get the job because obviously your talent evaluation is not good, so you need to hit the bricks.
But if Elton Brand besides that, he does, you know we're not getting D'Antoni and he hires Tyronn Lue.
The same thing could be said about him when we talk about Josh Harrison management.
So I mean, this is a This is a slippery slope, but but I I really think that the Sixers air hiding something, they're hiding an ultimate playing.
Not sure what that ultimate plan is, because it's been way too quiet right now.
And I know football season always takes precedence.
We know that we understand that completely football will always take precedence when we talk about all the other three sports in Philadelphia.
But right now, I will still say I will continue to say that this is one of the most historic off seasons that I can ever remember in Philadelphia.
70 Sixers history.
This next coach is a tremendous, tremendous piece that's going to show.
Are we going to remain competitive for the next three or four years, or are we going to go into a completely different direction where we need to rebuild an entire team once again? And I'm really not sure what that direction is, You know, obviously, they're gonna try like hell to get rid of al whoever and his big money contract that that is gonna be the, You know, that is gonna be the ultimate goal.
I think for Elton Brand this offseason.
If Elton Brand is still here, I still think that's gonna be ultimate goal.
You see, Listen, you see some of the scenarios walking around like buddy healed, and you see some of the scenarios.
You know, the standard around Drew holiday and either one of those guys work.
Okay, Either one of those guys work.
But I'll tell you what this team right now.
I don't care who you bring in.
I don't care who you hire is a Coats.
Unless somebody can get Joelle MBI Thio to play the way we know, he's capable of playing to be the leader.
We need him to be on the court, to be the guy that offenses and defenses alike are scared to go up against that coach.
That's what that Coast needs to be.
And until somebody could do that, this 70 Sixers team is never going to go to the next level because right now all your eggs were put in the Joel Embiid basket.
That's not Ben Simmons.
They're putting Joel Embiid basket.
They are because you're building a team around Joel Embiid.
And the problem is, here's the problem.
You didn't build the right team.
You picked the wrong guy and, you know, again, Tobias Harris is not the guy you hitched your wagon, that Tobias Harris and he was the wrong guy.
And unless Tobias Harris completely rewrites his story line and completely re reinvents his game, he is gonna be exactly what we know.
He is right now, and what that is is not good enough It's not good enough for this team.
This team need shooters on the outside.
This team needs to work the ball in to get it back out.
They need shooters and I'll tell you what, This can work.
If Joelle would learn how to play the game and be the dominant force that we know, he can necessarily be.
And Ben Simmons? Kids just finished.
I don't need them to shoot.
I just didn't wanna finish.
If bank can finish at the rim, you will have acquired two or three shooters on the outside.
If they can knock down shots, this can work.
But again, you have to build some pieces off the bench.
Pieces that are not are not like Scott pieces that are not Raul Neto.
Okay, pieces that are Matisse eyeball right? He is a piece.
Look, look what the Clippers have built out there and I'm not saying that we're going to be the Clippers.
But when we talk about their bench of mantra as Horrell on Blue Williams, I mean, they're two guys right there, two guys and I understand that the Clippers lost, but what I'm saying is at least they had, Ah bench that they dio and get production from Houston under Mike D'Antoni, Onley ran seven deep.
They had two guys and one of those guys was Eric Gordon.
So if Eric Gordon was not able to play now you're down toe one.
That's not good enough.
Not in this league.
Not in this league.
When you have guys like Joe L and B who can't go for 40 minutes, it's not good.
Ben Simmons will go for 40 minutes, but Joel will not.
He he needs to be spelled, and I'll tell you one guy I would love to grab, and I know it's not even possible.
And I understand that people hate Boston, but I love me some.
Marcus Smart Marcus smart to me 100% is one of those guys that we need to go get if possible.
Uh, you know, if you could get a guy like Marcus, Smartness is willing to do everything.
Listen, he is like T J.
McConnell on steroids, right? And what I mean by that is it's his heart.
Marcus Smart will dio everything he needs to do on the court to help his team win, and he's very talented, and he's very underrated, not not only from a you know, a shooting standpoint, but from an ability standpoint to be able to get to the whole.
He takes the charge.
He's not afraid to get his body dirty.
He's not afraid to get all up in somebody's face and play tremendous defense.
That's why Boston is still in the Siri's.
Because guess what? When Gordon Hayward went down and Gordon Hayward was balling people, he was finally back for that injury.
He was averaging 22 23 points per game, you know, until he went down in the bubble and that was a tremendous blow to Boston.
But again, they have two things.
They have a deep bench, and they have a tremendous coach who was able to insert Marcus Smart in that starting line of and they didn't miss a beat.
Now this Siri's against Miami.
I still think Miami comes out on top.
I still think Jimmy Butler is going to the N B A Finals, and it will be interesting to see what they're able to do against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Now I know I love the Denver Nuggets.
We've you know, we've talked about that team before on this show.
I think they're very young.
They're very talented, and the one thing that is certain is that we're going to see the Denver Nuggets for many years to come.
Think about all the teams that passed on Jamal, Mary and Michael Porter Jr and think about.
They lose money with with guys like Paul Millsap, who's making a ton of money, which means they could go out and spend MAWR money.
Chris Harris has heard he comes in and he doesn't miss a beat.
I mean, I'm telling you right now, this team in the West, there's a real deal, man with the Joker and Jamal marry leading the fright right now, I'll tell you, man, they're gonna be Mike Malone has done a hell of a job in Denver, and he continues to be another up and coming coats that nobody talks about again.
The coats at the Philadelphia 70 Sixers don't have okay.
I mean, that's the thing.
If you look around this NFL, the NBA landscape and you look around the MBA bubble, you know what teams do you say to yourself? right now that, as constructed, the 70 Sixers are better than there's not many.
There's not many at all, and and that's one of the biggest issues.
One of the biggest issues we came into this season thinking that we were superior.
We came in thinking that we had one of the best teams in the East.
We came in thinking that we could compete for an MBA championship, and we were sadly mistaken.
Now, is that completely on the coach? Not sure it remains to be seen.
And and I've said this before and I'll say it again.
I'm not ready to trade these two guys yet if they prove that they want to step up and produce under a different regime Now, if you hire a coach and right away Joel has an issue, then that's when you start talking about trading Joe L and B, and that's when you start talking about changing the format of this team around.
That is, that is when you decide to change course, but until that time you have to go full speed ahead with these two generational superstars and figure out if they can play in another system.
If they can play in another format.
That's what you need to do right now.
Listen, other teams have done it.
Other teams have shown it is absolutely possible.
And the one thing that you have to dio is you have to be able to draft.
The MBA has turned into the diamond in the rough, so to speak.
When we talk about the second round picks, second round picks are are not trash anymore.
If you can scout and you can, you know you can evaluate talent up to, Ah, tremendous standard.
You will be able to get very productive players in the second round.
And that's something that the Philadelphia 70 Sixers couldn't do it.
Listen, let's be honest.
The Philadelphia 70 Sixers couldn't even produce first round talent.
I mean, listen, Desire Smith, McKell bridges.
Things still puzzles me.
Don't know what was going on with that.
We still wants Zaire.
Smith can't play.
He can't play, man, you know, it just can't play.
You know, the mark mark how folks things will will haunt us for many years to come.
Not only because we had to watch Jason Tatum play on the other side of the court in the Eastern Conference.
But because we know what we could have had, we know what we could have done.
You know, even when I see a guy like Carson Edwards plane for the Boston Celtics hitting shots, hitting those 40 footers, I mean, listen, that's another guy that we talked about.
That's another guy that we said, Listen, if they could draft a guy like this, it could be tremendous.
They could at least have some kind of death, but instead we have guys coming off the bench that just can't play and again, like all brings us back the whole same hinky process.
The reason why it was started was to get us as mock draft capital to be able to make moves.
It was started. Also.
We could get tremendous draft picks that build our talent based on controllable assets.
Right control, Hubble assets.
Uh, What's up, Molly Molly seconding, As always, she's part of the Heat ratio team, and she says, We can't switch.
We could switch out sixes and eagles in any conversation.
Almost at this point, can trap.
Stars are playing their potential coach or players fall Same story line.
Listen, Molly, you're absolutely right as always, Molly checking in with a great cop because it's true.
You know it is absolutely true.
And it's one of those things that we we have seen over the entire landscape of Philadelphia sports we have.
We we continue to see it over the entire landscape.
And I'll tell you what.
It's **** right concerning it.
Is it Z definitely concerning because we deserve better.
And I'll tell you what.
As a center fan base, we deserve more transparency than we're getting right now.
We deserve mawr than you know Keith Pompeii coming out.
And you know, because he has some insight and explain us what he thinks is goingto happen.
We deserve Mawr and and we haven't listened to Sixers have been in hiding on.
And this is what I keep saying about the Tyronn Lue stall because ever since the Tyronn Lue talk service, ever since that report came out, the Sixers have been in hiding.
This is what they have been in hiding about.
They are not being transparent when it comes to their coaching search.
Our man Andre checking in our our Sixers insider for heat ratio sports, the that the, uh, the A bomb, so to speak.
Which we're getting ready for. James.
What's up, James? Checking in.
Good morning heat ratio.
Good morning to you.
Thanks for your awesome awesome commentary.
Last night on the heat Racial Pockets Episode 1 28 Which again, please go.
Subscribe rate review.
We are on the verge of something big.
We have a bunch of cup.
Ah, bunch of announcements this week.
You know, we've added a couple players to the to the fold.
Uh, tremendous tremendous talent that they're gonna be doing live videos on YouTube on our social network again, if you're looking for somewhere to build your brand in the heat ratio, sports is a network for you.
Hit me up and see what we can dio Andre, what do you have for us? Come on, Andre.
You hit assault with the you hit assault with the teaser yesterday.
Man, you hit us up with the teaser.
And Molly says, Well, I Philadelphia team not being transparent, that's a first.
I'll tell you what transparency is definitely not the name of the game in Philadelphia.
We definitely, definitely know that.
Unfortunately, you know, maybe the flyers.
Who knows? But I I don't really, really get inside off the flyers mantra, so I don't know if they're transparent or not.
I'm always saying Yo, a bomb.
Where is the A bomb? A bomb? I might get banned from the six years, but I gotta give it to you.
Uh, listen, you could get banned, Andre, If you get banned for the Sixers, it's all good.
You could come right on board with us, man, you're already part of this brand, so let's go. We're building.
We're building something big over here.
Thr so get on board.
I got to Let's go a bomb.
I have a feeling that we're gonna hear something that we're not expecting right now and, you know, breaking news, right? We gotta get some breaking news.
And you know what? What? What is going on? Who was gonna be the next coach of 70 sixers? Andre, Let let us know what you got right now.
We got way even give you a little hold on way.
Give you a little breaking news.
Sound right? Come on, Andre, We got you right there.
I'm trying to bring it for you, man.
I'm trying to bring it for you.
So what I will say right now is I don't know of Andre was upset as I was with Billy Donovan going to the Bulls.
But that was a guy on my list.
That was a guy I really liked.
And I know, I know Molly liked it too.
So listen, way got suspense here.
We got suspense on the heat ratio.
We got the breaking news and we're waiting for ons.
Thio, Let it rip.
I have a feeling that we may be talking about a female right here, and I'll tell you what.
That's one thing that people aren't talking enough about is listen, the rise of women in sports.
Whether we talk about sports journalism, whether we talk about sports athleticism, uh, when we talk about, you know, sports in general.
I mean, the rise of women is really and it needs to be.
Listen, you need to take hold of this for real, because I'm gonna tell you something right now as a way for for honor to be checking back in is, you know, I've learned and you guys know I do a lot of fancy football talk, especially the fancy firebox Fox beats all Gambler is where you get it.
Remember something? I have done a ton off shows with some highly intellectual women that are so on point when it comes to the fancy football community.
Um, Michelle and Kate Magic and football, you know, from the fancy footballers and ball place dot com.
They are tremendous.
Loren Carpenter, who at Step Mom Lauren, check her out.
I mean, she does tremendous, tremendous work.
And I'll tell you what they taught me.
Rosalie Michaels, who doesn't work from from draftkings.
Listen, they have taught me some tremendous some tremendous insight, not only to the fancy football industry, but the way you look at statistics and and And they don't get the credit that they deserve. They don't.
And you know what? Be honest with you.
It's gotta be tough. It does.
It's gotta hit hard.
And I'm glad that I'm glad that right now that we're changing the narrative and and that we're bringing them or into the into the forest, so to speak, because this is something we have to dio, uh, here we g o a bomb? So your boy, Elton hit up sand Sea.
So the text and the meeting was supposed to happen at the Four Seasons.
Also, Elton has reached out the Dawn Staley and wants to bring her back home to Philly.
Yo, no, listen, listen, toe Andre dropping enough.
We don't need Adrian.
Whoa! Janowski on the heat ratio.
We don't need the woes.
We got the A bombs mine and Andre dropping some serious serious noise on the heat ratio today on jigsaws judgment.
Listen, I'll tell you what I am all about saying, Cassell, I am I am all about saying, Cassell, I love saying Cassell, I think he could be tremendous as a head coach on this team.
I think he is definitely, definitely the right move. 100%.
And and they have temples.
Own Dawn Staley, Philadelphia's own back, having that female head coach on the sideline.
Yo, let me tell you, man, for everybody joining in right now, Andre has just dropped some serious serious knowledge on us.
So again, we're gonna say this again.
Let's do it again, and I'm gonna give you a proper I'm gonna get proper drumroll.
There it is right now.
We got the breaking news, and for those who did not hear it, Elton hits off Sam Cassell meeting.
Supposed to happen at the Four Seasons and has also reached out to Dawn Staley to bring her back home.
And again, Molly, Right? Gladly.
Take a piece of don't stay over the sixers.
Uh, you might need to be a little careful with that statement.
I'm just kidding.
All no pun intended.
But seriously, listen, don't Staley, Becky Hammond.
I mean, these air to people again that I've been all in on, I really have.
And I think the Rises riel, I think.
And this isn't again.
This isn't a pity a pity thing at all.
This is because I really, really think that the change on this Philadelphia Sixers team that could happen under some female guidance, I think could be tremendous.
I really dio And don't discount the knowledge that a Becky Hammon and at Dawn Staley have do not do not discount what they could bring to the table.
Um They're also weighing out watching the social climbing around Philly.
The goal is to bring the culture of the Sixers grit and toughness back.
Listen, I Yeah, I sure hope so, Andre, because this was a soft, soft, soft team, okay? And it was led by Mr Softee himself.
And that was my biggest issue.
Tobias Harris is the reason why he was kicked around from team to team.
So he definitely wasn't the guy that I wanted on this team at all.
Especially if he wasn't gonna be able to elevate his game, you know, because of what we needed him to be.
And that was not what we signed up for.
Uh, Molly's, uh all right.
It was worth it differently at first.
Yeah, I bet you did. It was perfect.
But now, seriously, Dawn Staley don't sale.
He's one tough S o B man.
Dawn Staley is tough row.
Seriously? I mean, that's the thing.
If you think and I've had people hit me up on social media, I've had hit me up through it through Tax master to say Jason, what do you think it with a woman head coach.
It's not gonna happen.
You really think that Joel and Ben, if they didn't listen to break ground, they're gonna listen to Dawn Staley or a Becky Hammond? 100%.
Let me tell you something.
When when you mix up that the culture a little bit when you throw a different direction and somebody and those that direction is boom like right up in your face, I'm gonna tell you what I not only do, I think their work, I think they're gonna excel right off the bat because I think what happens, especially in a male dominated sport what you're talking about.
You know, basically, the players run the roofs, so to speak, because they are.
They are the complete, uh, you know, driving force behind this global entity.
Okay, they get paid way more than the head coaches, which makes it really hard for the coaches to be able to coach. Let's be honest.
But when you change up the direction and you get somebody of a different voice, different background, you know, you know of a different culture, so to speak, sometimes that's threatening a little bit, and sometimes that makes you think twice.
Listen, I was, you know, as a parent, I've always said one thing to my kids.
I know they're going to make mistakes and they learn from their mistakes, right? But what I want them to do is I want them to have the ability to sit there and think for one split second before they make that mistake thinking for one split second, if they can give me that split second, I'm doing my job.
And I think that's what a Dawn Staley brings or a Becky Hammond brings.
I think they give you that split second off thinking maybe I shouldn't say that.
Maybe I should believe what she's talking about.
Listen, they are very, very capable 100% capable off doing this job, whether it be, as you know, as an assistant or even as a head coach.
Man, I'm being honest with you.
I you know, I know a lot of people are saying a sense of Becky Hammon paid her dues.
Okay, in the MBA, say what you want, but Becky Hammon has paid her dues, so she deserves the be a head coach now.
Dawn Staley, maybe has to be a number one assistant first.
And maybe that's why Elton Brain has decided to reach out to that specific female.
And I know Andre had mentioned a guy like Alvin Gentry Thea other day, who, you know, I thought was given a role deal.
I'm still talking about guys like Nate McMillan, who I thought were given a raw deal.
I like Sam Cassell.
I like that name.
I still like Jason Kidd.
I still like Mark Jackson.
I think these are the names we need to look at.
I really, really do think these are the names we need to look at.
And I'll tell you, man, you know, I really, really am intrigued about what a Mark Jackson could do.
But like my co host Mike Matter Act, he said last night, It's really hard because he's getting paid a ton of money by ESPN and, you know, and all those big networks to be able to bring his commentary to the MBA bubble.
So it's really gonna be hard to get him out of that shell.
So you know Sam Cassell, who was an ultimate weapon, right? An ultimate weapon, Uh, that that completely waas you know he was a guy, that he was a killer man.
He was a killer on the court.
And and again, he's another guy.
When you talk about, you know, the guard play in the n b A.
The way the direction has changed, you know, it has completely changed.
And they have a guy that's on that, you know, the forefront off that change could be, You know, it could be tremendous.
I mean, really, Dio, listen, it could be tremendous.
Now, you know, I I see again, break 12 checking in.
We're talking about, uh, our Cowan checking in.
What's up? Our thanks for checking in Shaka Smart.
You want to go to college? You know, he's another guy.
University of Texas, right? You know, obviously he's a flashy name and again, I would not be opposed to it.
The only thing I get scared about is with this team specifically is you know, when you bring a college head coaching, usually it's a guy you bring in to start to build a nucleus and build a foundation to get people you know, you're starting from the ground up.
I should say you don't usually bring in a college coach to take over a team that's in win now mode.
That's normally not what you dio.
So that's the only reason why would be against a smart move.
But I understand why you would mention his name because listen from 2015 on, he's had a very highly productive career in the coaching realm.
So in the n c double A.
So I mean that that that brings us back to you know, That's why Jay Wright was in that conversation, and that's why I didn't want J.
I want an MBA coach.
I want an MBA style of coach of somebody who knows exactly how it works.
I am not ready to rebuild again.
And if we are going to rebuild that, we better be getting rid of all the money on this team and completely changing course here because I am not not ready to do it.
Uh, don't rule out D'Antoni. Ruben.
Listen, man likes him, but not mutual with other owners, and that could be a problem.
Ruben loves him some D'Antoni and again, Andre.
I don't know if you checked in earlier, but that's exactly why I think the CP three Rumors Air coming about because you know, we're talking about, you know, revisiting the Mike D'Antoni's TP three love affair and to see if we can make that come back right.
And I think that's where all this talk is coming from, Which is which is making me think that D'Antoni is a front runner right now.
I really dio Erica, I agree, but I don't think this team is in win now. Mode.
They aren't built for this n b a.
If they If they can't move forward for the Harris, they're stuck.
I Eric, I couldn't agree more.
Honestly, they definitely aren't built for the style MBA.
What I will say again, and I I'll make mention of this I've said it on previous shows is I still think Elton Brand did not envision the way this team was constructed on the core by Brad Brown.
I still think what he brought in Al Horford and paid that kind of money for Al Horford.
I think the reason why he paid that type of capital for God, like Al Horford.
What specifically to be able to say, Listen, I want this guy here to not only mentor guy like Joe L and B, but I want him to be able to play when Joe L and B can.
I don't think he envisioned both of them to be on the court at the same time for most minutes.
And also, I don't think he envisioned Al Horford being turned into a three point connoisseur.
Okay, He's never been a three point connoisseur.
Okay? And I say that, you know, no pun intended, but let's think about it.
Al Horford had a tremendous career of Boston, and the reason why he was listen to high pick and roll.
He, like, invented the high pick and roll.
He was tremendous.
Or, you know, at that 15 ft range, and then you take him and you insert him into this three point mantra.
It just didn't make any sense whatsoever.
So, listen, I Listen, Sean, I know you're checking Sean saying Al High for Al Horford stinks of the capital s.
I Listen, I I disagree, man.
I do show, and I really do.
I think I think you need to get Al Horford a chance to show what he can do in a system that fits him, which is why he was brought here and and they didn't run the right system for him.
This is a veteran.
You just don't automatically lose all your talent.
He is a tremendous player if he's used the right way, in my opinion.
So I am 100% ready to see him, you know, in a different system, unless we can move him for somebody who helps us more.
So I will give you that.
If there is a way like Aaron saying like I mean Aaron.
Eric, I'm sorry, Erin, but if there's a way like Eric is saying to be able to move Al Horford, especially Tobias Harris, all that kind of money, which I think is gonna be extremely hard Uh, you know, I think this team could excel, but right now I feel like they're stuck.
Man, it's a ton of money in today's MBA, a ton of money, especially coming through a pandemic where revenues were probably down across the board.
It's gonna be really hard.
Thio reinvent some kind of magic in order to get those players somewhere else.
Uh, on their 2nd 2nd, Cp three would have to wear number two or 13.
Also, remember Elton was ready to train with Horford, but it was really interfere with his position as GM.
His own ambitions? Absolutely.
Andre, I remember.
And I, you know, I remember you bringing it up before to which is which is great.
I love it reiterated.
Let the people know, man, because it's the truth.
This was not the way Elton Vision, this team, now that the Elton Miss was Tobias Harris, that was the missed, you know, that's 100% on Elton, you know, I know.
I've seen people say, You know, I don't care how much money they were given Jimmy Butler.
He was not going to sign here.
I think that's 100% role.
I think Jimmy Butler had all intentions of signing in Philadelphia, but I think they rubbed him the wrong way.
I think they were not ready to give him the amount of money at his age.
I don't think they thought that he was worth a Max contract.
I don't think they were thought that so I think right off the bat that was one of the issues that led to, you know, our reverse and strategy And that's exactly where that's a Bias Harris move came from. Exactly.
Responding to calm.
Want to know about CP three? Yeah.
This is this is rumors, you know, specifically from, uh, Twitter man.
I mean, there rial.
I can tell you that, man, they are 100% real.
So, uh, you know that the CP three thing for Andre Andre, right? Hey, would definitely not be wearing number three.
Only have we only have one number three in this town, right? And we know who that is.
Uh, Sean says, I don't know, Tony.
I don't think Harris is that bad.
I think they definitely overpaid, but he's a guy.
Could do big things for you from 18 in.
See, Here's my problem, Sean.
The more I watched the bias, the more I feel like he's very, you know, Is he too hesitant because, you know, he's in a system that that didn't fit him, Was he not used the right way? I'm not sure, but my issue is Even when he had the open shots, man, he just was not consistent enough for May.
Not consistent enough.
I need consistency when you're gonna be a listen when you're gonna get paid, that kind of money, you need to be the God to be able to hit down the shot all day long.
He was signed to give you a really good three point percentage, and he shot the lowest in his career.
Okay, the lowest in his career.
So, you know, I really think he was signed because, you know, the old adage of his You know, you work the ball down low to guys like Horford and Joel on when they get double team.
You have a guy out, you know, out the flat.
I shouldn't say flats a football term.
But outside the perimeter, outside the top of the key and a guy like Tobias Harris ready to hit that open shot and he just didn't hope he didn't hit it consistently showing not for 180 plus million. I'm sorry.
It's just not for May I, you know, Listen, if he could if he could respond this year, it would be great.
Cole, had issue playing with playing time with Butler and off the court.
It was a mess and and that's a problem, man, You know, Listen, Tobias should not be running rough shot here.
Tobias is not that player.
Tobias is a piece.
It almost reminds me.
And I hate to say it because I I really like E.
But always reminds me Andre Iguodala one we maxed out Iguodala even knowing the Andre Iguodala was not the number one guy, right? And Sean Texas.
You can't fault a guy from taking money.
I completely agree.
If they're gonna throw money, I absolutely some big sponsor comes my way and says we're gonna throw you x amount of dollars.
Yeah, I'm all in.
I'm not turning it down, right. I understand.
Well, you know, no matter what the product is, I'm gonna promote it. I get it.
I completely agree with you on that, But what I think is they paid the wrong guy just like they didn't, Iggy.
Because they got back to the world corner.
They looked at it and said, You know what? We can't lose two guys, right? We already lost Jimmy.
We can't lose Tobias too.
I may I? You know, I I changed this direction of this team.
I think it was saying he had all his draft capital.
He changed the entire landscape, so he had bring back somebody.
And I think that's where it fell into his lap.
When you talk about a guy, Tobias Harris, uh, a lot of comments coming again.
Brett is a major fault.
This applies correctly.
I completely agree with that, Eric Cohen says.
Give up thigh ball, Horford and two second round picks and take back the terrible Harrison Barnes salary and body heal.
That's That's an interesting scenario right there, Eric.
Very, very interesting because, uh, I I get it. I see.
You know, I see it, but I'm not ready to give up thigh ball, man, I'm not.
I'm not trying to say he's untouchable, but you know he's not.
He's our best defender, and he may be the one pick that we actually got right, And I'm just not ready to give him up.
I want to see him.
You know, I want to see him in different rotations.
I want to see him on the floor.
Maura, I wanna Seymour off what another coach could actually utilize him in in this offense.
It's It's an interesting scenario right there.
Uh, thio what you're talking about show, but we're agreeing he was overpaid. Yes.
I'm just saying service of God, nobody's gonna turn down money.
I agree with you showing 100%.
I'm with you, man.
Supposed to be moved, not Jimmy.
The problem was organized.
I didn't want a player that was too vocal fax.
They didn't want a guy was up, you know, up front and center.
They didn't want a guy that they couldn't control, right? They could control Tobias Harris.
They can't control Jimmy Butler.
Playing is simple.
You can't folder got.
Yeah, we talked about that.
Ever checking in? That's a common today right there.
I forgot all about Kenny Thomas.
Contract from Billy King equals Harris.
Contract on Believable.
That's a great name.
Great name Kenny Thomas.
Bias for that mentality comes in the organization.
Listen, you know, as we wind down here for the last minute and a half, what I will tell you is, you know, it's gonna be interesting to see you know who these interviews are.
who's gonna be in the Final Three? You know what kind of moves this team can make? Um, listen, I'm intrigued.
