you okay? I'm crazy about the way fresh looking about Carla Paparazzi.
It's never going to float.
Was never going to be back.
Dignity, Respect my cut from the O Way.
Our travel plans Way profits.
Way back A ways your can say Wait, everybody Wait.
What? I want out.
What? Ah, back again.
Up in this business.
Switching sports up like none other.
You guys already know how the wrong boys got you covered.
We dropped some football today.
Got basketball today.
Gotta drop some baseball because you know how it is.
So what's up? Cheers to me.
Cheers to you all the wrong boys and girls.
What to do? What up? You guys, um, wanted to drop this.
I've been kind of thinking about this last couple days.
Finally got some time to actually sit down and go over with you guys.
So this MLB wildcard race is wild, huh? Um, we got a couple teams that are pretty locked in that we expected.
We know that are gonna be in there, but at least the NL I mean, it is pretty open for a couple different teams that are looking to get in there.
So I just want to go over teams that are pretty much a lock on go over teams that are looking like they're a wild card contender and possibly who maybe could squeak in there and beat out Team Thio play in October still, so we're gonna see what's good.
Just want to go over everything with you guys baseball wise, see what's going on.
So currently, at least current standings.
We'll start with a Oh, because that's how it is.
Astros are on top of the West, 78 wins there, looking solid.
I mean, there they're the Astros.
You more than expect them to be in the playoffs, especially now that they just improved what was already a very good pitching rotation going to get Greinke in a wind.
Now type move, given up prospects going to get the guy to pretty much finished off that rotation.
So Houston is looking like they're gonna take that w again.
Almost 80 wins already.
Speaking of 80 wins the Yankees running absolutely running the east one of the 1st 2 teams to 80.
They're looking good.
I mean, they're eight of their last 10 so Yankees Air Pretty surefire thing to make it as well as Houston.
Look for those to the lock up, just divisions.
Big question mark in the A.
Minnesota is technically, I suppose, technically winning right now.
Um, Onley by half a game, though.
Cleveland is that team? Cleveland, Minnesota, In my opinion, basically, whichever one of those teams win the division, the other will win the wild card.
So again, Minnesota right now by half a game over Cleveland and Cleveland didn't look like that kind of team to start the year.
I mean, Minnesota look like they were running away with it, then easily over 10 games ahead off their division, and we're taking it by storm.
It was absolutely no problem.
Cleveland turned it on.
Jose Ramirez turned it on himself and looks a lot better, to be honest with you.
So, um, Cleveland's pretty hot right now again on Lee.
1/2 a game behind Minnesota, but a game and 1/2 ahead of the wild card for that first wildcard spot.
So regardless, I'm thinking whichever one of those squads do not end up winning their division, they do take that first wild cards by at least a wild card spot, for sure so best and help me get into the A l.
So we're gonna see what's up against so clearly just saying there.
Cleveland at the top of the wild cards, about 72 wins game and 1/2 ahead Tampa baby is right now that second wild card spot at 71 wins.
Not sure how I feel about them holding on to that spot.
Um, they've been pretty good this year, but maybe a little shaky.
Definitely a better second half here, um, played pretty well on the road.
Actually, they're one of the few teams in the MLB that's actually got over 35 to 40 wins on the road, which is rare and especially since they're not doing super well at home, just over 500 at home.
So Tampa Bay, if they can get some more confidence at home and win a couple extra games at home, they're already very good again when being faced out of their own stadium.
So damned bacon. Hang in there.
The couple to probably two teams.
I'm looking at behind those guys in the A.
L is gonna be the athletics.
They came pretty oughta know where.
Didn't really expect them again to be one of those teams to be contending like they are.
And here they are now just two games back from Tampa Bay for that second wild card spot.
I don't at all see them even getting close to Houston there, 10 games behind Houston.
So then that the West is pretty well locked up for the Astros.
But the Athletics have the chance to come to squeak in, maybe play Cleveland for that wild card spot, a team that I really was hoping would be in the playoffs.
And that is not not looking up.
The car is the Red Sox.
They're really the only other team that you see again, just possibly even being able to make it with about 40 games left.
For a lot of these teams, Red Sox are down seven and 1/2 games from the wild card and not look and sue hot.
You know, nothing has me like they could do it.
They can push it. They could win.
You know this many straight, but it is the Red Sox.
They do somehow seem to always turn it on towards the middle of seven beginning middle of September.
But that's usually them expecting playoffs.
Don't know if they're expecting playoffs now again, being back this much like a 0.
0% chance they win the division.
They already have to catch Tampa Bay.
Not even close to catching the Yankees.
So it's between those two.
Tampa Bay is gonna be a major major, major baseball games coming up in the next couple of weeks, and Tampa has that wild card spot now seven and 1/2 games ahead of Boston.
If they could knock that back a little bit, maybe the Athletics don't do super well in the next couple games.
Maybe you see a spot for the Red Sox to just just kind of squeaking in there.
I don't really think I'm gonna go ahead and say it's official because it's definitely not a thing.
We're going to see how the Red Sox do.
I'm rooting for him, though, not only for you know, our Northeast Division, but the Red Sox are just the team you want to see in the playoffs, and you want to see what they got in the playoffs because it's the Red Sox, so that's really it's a L.
Is not a major fistfights slugfest for the spot.
Like I said, there's only three teams that are really within striking distance Red Sox.
I'm not gonna put them in striking distance, but opportunity is there.
So right now it is gonna be between Cleveland Tampa Bay in Oakland again.
I think one of them guarantees the spot just because that division has been good.
Both those teams have been good and could easily win their division.
It's very close for those two.
So I'm putting between Tampa Bay and Oakland.
I'm like I'm like in Oakland, to be honest with you.
Like I said, Tampa Bay now is to go against a pretty against defense Boston team, you know, in the next couple of weeks and I'm just not sure which Boston team's gonna show up.
So that's a pretty 50 50 for me.
But L is pretty set in stone, at least division wise assigned from, you know, checking out that Central.
So stay tuned for that's gonna be good.
What I really want to get in was done.
A beauty, eh? No, because, my goodness, there is something's going on in in the NL.
Gotta start with the Central Cubbies division because this is the definition of a slugfest.
Not on Lee is are the Cubs and Cardinals tied right now for the division? The Brewers are just a game and 1/2 back from both of those teams.
So all three of those teams could end up winning the division, obviously hoping it's the Cubbies.
I think one of the other central teams will be the A L Same thing is what I just said with the Twins.
Indians, I think either the Cardinals, either the Cubs and again, I can't knock the Brewers out.
The Brewers have been fantastic this year, obviously, behind the big bat of Christian Yelich.
They're having a great season as well.
Again, just a game in about a game and 1/2 back from the Cubbies.
Right now, um, two games, maybe, but within striking distance, for sure of not only the wild card, but the Division Central is all over the place.
It is honestly gonna be a tragedy to see one of these three teams not make it because there's a couple of their big squads up there that are hanging onto its, um so Central Cardinals lead it now.
Cubs tied with them.
Another extra game.
One extra game loss.
Milwaukee hunting right now looking good.
Six of their last 10.
So can't even try and help tell you is gonna win that division again.
Just hoping it's the Cubbies.
But it is what it is for the West.
The Dodgers are running away with it.
They're looking like they're gonna bring in home field advantage in general for for the NL 81 wins again.
One of the only other two teams is the Yankees In them, the whole team's been great walk offs are just the name of their game.
My shot for M V. P.
Again, him and yellow is just kind of duking it out right now, but they look like they're pretty shoo in for that.
Diamondbacks are, like 20 gains, pretty much behind them, so diners are coasting the rest of the way.
There congrats them nine of the last 10.
They're absolutely the squad to be in the NL.
So it is what it is East.
The Braves are rolled it down right now, actually, and that's not too bad.
They do have to go up against the Nationals.
Nationals are the top team to take the wild card right now.
They're looking good there ahead of the Cubs, even by a game for the wild card spot right now.
So I think the Braves are another one of those teams to take it.
I think the Dodgers in the brave can go out and just accept that they're gonna win their division, Um, and and kind of be happy.
And Costa's long as nothing really goes bad for either of them.
The Braves maybe need to figure out there bowl kind situation a little bit more.
Who their clothes is gonna be beheaded the playoffs.
But they're looking pretty shoo in to make the playoffs, which obviously is your first step.
So thinking they both got it for the wild card.
This is the conference that is crazy.
Washington leads it right now.
Cubs technically have the second spot by just a game and half again over the Brewers division's always stuck to go against each other.
The Phillies are just two games back from the cuts they have actually been one of the colder teams in baseball, though, Um, they're playing against the Cubs here later tonight in the next couple of days, so we'll see how they do.
The Cubs have not been very good on the road at all.
What so ever? I'm talking like way under 500 they played in Philly.
So we're going to see all those two kind of Duke it out.
We could see them switching positions in the wild card race very quickly in the next couple of days.
So I'm kind of losing faith in Philly, To be honest with you, I did have quite a bit in them to start the season.
I thought maybe they'd be good.
Your team to go with area.
Taking some injuries on now doesn't work like the Phillies are gonna hold on to it, especially with the Mets being that team coming in hot.
The Mets are just a game behind the Phillies.
I know how crazy that division sounds again.
That's another one of those Central type divisions.
Atlanta, the Nationals, Phillies and Mets all pretty close again.
Atlanta has a good seven game lead over all these teams But between the nationals, the Phillies and the Mets were talking within about five games.
Mets have been the hottest team in baseball season, the absolutely seven and three in the last 10 starting to come just up in general.
They do have a huge couple games coming up against the division leader, the Braves.
But I honestly, I'm really rooting for the meds.
I think that they just continue to stay hot, get that pitch and continue.
Just get it rolling.
Stroman comes in now.
We'll see how that ends up working out in the long run, but I'm really hoping the Mets end up taken.
You know that other spot from the Nationals Don't kill me, Robbie J.
It is what it is, but that's a tough division matchup.
That's a tough race again.
Within three games, they could definitely strike and take over special with how hot they are.
Baseball right now.
A couple teams that are our mention Herbal are mention.
Herbal is the D Backs and the Giants.
Technically, both teams are just hanging on to a little over a little under 500 right now.
D'backs, obviously no.
One of the division Dodgers, clearly have that by 20 games, but again, they're just three and 1/2 games back from the wild card striking distance, for sure, after not having Goldschmidt and now Greinke, you know it is. It is what it is.
I don't expect them to hold on to it, and I expect them to kind of fall a little bit and not make it so.
It is what it is, but again, a great season by them for us not expecting them to do a whole lot.
And the Giants were kind of that team.
They were like, you know, will they trade Bumgardner? What's going on here? You know, there was a whole lot of confusion going on with them, and I can't see them making the run for the playoffs, either, Just because again, there's a lot of teams in between them that they have to go through, Man, the Mets are one of the hotter teams in baseball right now.
Dude, it's it's It's a thing.
I mean, it's not anything I'm happier proud of either.
I'm I'm not a Mets fan, but I would love to see what they can do in the playoffs.
I'd love to see that pitching staff in October and see how it goes.
Um, so we're gonna see what's up.
Um, we're gonna see what's up.
Cubs, huh? That's funny.
You've got the Phillies.
See, we're going to see how the other copies fillies doing the last couple of days in the next couple days.
Sorry, because it's been a pretty back before things so deaths most of what's going on in the wild card right now.
Again, I'm about to just be glued into it and see what the hell is going on here, because I think it's gonna be good at least the next couple weeks.
We've got about 40 games left for a lot of these squads.
So most of them like this, that are pretty shoe in at least division wise.
Aside from like this Central basically in both conferences and then just the wild cards were kind of wild.
So again, Nationals, Cubs, Brewers, Phillies, Mets.
All of these guys are within a couple of games and definitely could be doing some work in the NL.
And a lot of these teams play each other Cubs playing the Mets in the next couple of weeks again.
Cubs play the Phillies currently, um, Brewers playing the Nationals in tomorrow.
So all of these top couple teams are playing each other and are gonna be really good games and good games.
You guys wanna watch and pay attention to see who wins them for the oil? We already said most of these are pretty well set.
Kind of a lot shorter of a division race.
But you never really know.
Hopefully there's some shake ups going on, and you could see some teams, you know, change it up.
Minnesota is gonna be awesome to wash.
See who wins the division.
So that's kind of all there is to it.
Um, you know, just wanted to drop.
Maybe not necessarily a prediction piece, I guess.
I mean, I kind of threw a new life thinking hope is gonna be there, but still, 40 games left a lot of baseball to be played.
A lot of these teams have secured it.
A lot of these seams are fighting for their spot, at least trying to get in that wild card.
So a lot of good baseball to come in the next couple of weeks and excited to cover a lot of it for you guys, so stay interested in it.
I hate the nationals.
Yeah, I I hope the brewers lose a couple games.
Um, I need the brewers to lose a couple games because they're they're kind of on the cub's trail at this point.
Like very close.
I also need I need a lot to go on for the Cubs, but it's gonna be a lot of fun.
It's gonna be really good.
I'm staying tuned.
To wash this Phillies game is gonna be awesome.
Yes, my dude, I actually gotta make a run to the airport.
It sounds like to drop the lady off, make sure she has a good time.
