Good morning fantasy football fans.
My name is Gary, aka the I D P.
Tipster on Twitter.
Senior writer handless for ah, defensive player football on gridiron ratings dot com John, if you're out there, everybody, we're going to go ahead and roll this way this morning.
So if you'd like Thio join in at some point here.
Lovely John, at this point, camera situation is not gonna work.
So we're going to do this a little bit differently this morning.
So if you guys give John moment to join me, I believe we're live and rolling.
You can join in anytime you like, buddy.
So John will be joining us here.
Hey, hey, hey, E Guess I'll put these on so I can hear you.
Yeah, you got me.
Good. Hopefully, yeah.
Yeah. And it looks like we're streaming. Okay.
You hear me now? Oh, no.
You gotta be kidding me.
I can I can hear you.
Yeah, I am not in.
Or can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear You can hear me, but I can't hear you.
****! ****ing piece of ****.
Can you hear me now? Yeah.
How about now? Testing test their radio.
All right, so it's always something.
Yeah, but, you know, I mean, John had to talk right before, and I've been having some camera issues.
What I've been trying to do is fly by and using external camera, which apparently works well when I'm doing this by myself.
But if I decided to bring somebody in, it's not happening.
So you guys get this view that you've got here instead of the view that I really like to have.
But, hey, you know, it is what it is.
So, yeah, I'm glad to have this situation.
So last time John was on with me, we spent about an hour talking about a pretty, pretty heavy topic.
And as far as we know, we were live at the time.
But then afterwards, uh, this video was not available.
So, you know, if you happen to join us, then yeah, it probably it probably had something to do with my, you know, probably had something to do with my set up here and trying to use the cameras and certain situations.
So what does roll with it here? and I'll figure it out.
Eso took a little hiatus last week.
If you know, my wife just recently had breast cancer surgery, So, uh, that was why we kind of came on.
We did what we did get a little frustrated.
So plus, uh, need to take some time off to make sure that the wife was recovering.
All right, So and anybody out there that happens to be on Twitter and his phone, all that support and sent great sentiment my way.
I really appreciate it.
It's really helped get through this since she's been diagnosed with it back in the spring.
So, um, on the football, let's do this football thing, John.
What do you say? Yes, sir.
I'm glad the surgery went well, by the way.
Yeah, it's remarkable.
We were actually it would have been a different thing if she'd have both done.
She had one done so and then lip nodes and stuff.
So but yeah, I mean, she's She's downstairs back toe work right now.
Things this morning just just had that, right.
So she had it, uh, two Thursdays ago and she's already back to work.
I mean, she's not like, you know, down there it is flying away, but she's doing pretty good.
So luckily, you know, right now she's been working from home because this covert situation So I appreciate you.
So I kind of want to share this out on Twitter here.
I just don't know how that's gonna G Oh, yeah.
I'm stammering through this if you guys haven't gone over and you checked out Gridiron Ratings Channel here on SportsCastr um, Jeff and, uh uh, Kyle, They've been rolling on some good DF stuff, so I'm actually probably gonna join this channel with that channel.
So we're all just kind of located in the same spot.
And now it looks like I for a There's no I still got you.
Um, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, it was a good deal.
It was a good DFS Day yesterday, man.
Well, is it? Yeah.
Yeah, I know you And you.
And how was it? Is a Bobby know Bobby's way over there? Yeah.
Yeah, I wish I could.
Yeah, I wish I could pull it. Bobby.
So you guys got a DFS thing going on over there. Yeah.
We we hit pretty big last night, too, because we had Erin Jones, Calvin Ridley, Dak and Matt Ryan and all are super flights tickets.
And you know how that went? Yeah.
Yeah, Well, apparently, right.
Dude, I don't know.
I I've got myself so wrapped up, going one way or the direction with this whole situation, though I am not completely up on everything.
I just know that I looked this morning, and I just this consistency thing, I mean, John talked a little bit yesterday on the phone, and I mean, it is almost thio, in my opinion, at least on the defensive side of the ball, it's almost like this is pre season right now.
It's really, like in a lot of situations.
We have even mawr inconsistencies than normal.
Uh, you know, usually me and John spend the first part of the season telling everybody, you know, for like, the first 2 to 3 weeks or even mawr.
Relax, relax, relax.
But, man, it just seems so more relevant this year with the whole situation with no no pre season to begin with, you know, we threw out a couple of examples one of mine were is e.
I don't know what the snap counts are right now because they're not available, but, um, Week one, it's like the Minnesota Vikings, their defensive lineman.
They had, like, one guy with, uh, 50 plus snaps, and then they have one with, like, 15% snaps.
And then they had, like, five others with 30% snaps.
And it's like they're really trying to figure out what they're doing and using these first few games of the season to get it done like a preseason.
Uh, it's making it even harder for the fantasy football community.
Yeah, it's it's all over the place.
And there's a lot of weird stuff going on.
I saw this this morning.
Uh, Tracy Walker only played 53% of snaps yesterday.
Yeah, that's so crazy.
Yeah, I I did See, I think I've seen a little blurb about it, and maybe it was yours.
I'm not really sure, but I mean, it is crazy, you know? It's like, you know, Will Harris happens to be one of my breakout calls.
He's getting last.
I seen he got 100% right.
Deron Harmon got 100% and Harris and Walker got like eighties.
But, yeah, Harris had way more snaps this week. Yes.
Than Walker, huh? Yeah.
I mean, even is the guy that made that call.
I mean, how do you take Tracy Walker? You plays that what they call the Joker safety up there.
And how do you take after what he did last year? And, you know, and all of a sudden starts sitting this guy and I feel guilty because somebody said somebody Should I be worried about him? Like, you know, last week.
And I'm like, Oh, no, don't worry about him looking his production.
Even with that, you know, it'll it'll it'll be there.
And then this happens.
I said, I said the same exact thing.
Man, I said the same.
I just It just makes no sense.
And I'm looking on Lions, Twitter, and everyone's like they don't get it, either.
That's their best defensive player like him.
Or Trey Flowers.
Yeah, like that's it.
Yeah, well, I mean, arguably Collinses could hear, but same time, he's a little long in the two, so I mean, but definitely traced to Walker.
What is he doing? Even sniffing the sideline, You know Z so crazy.
So and then the injuries.
We have injuries killing on both sides of the ball.
And, you know, I don't like talking about the dirty.
Oh, but Jesus Christ, Excuse my language.
By the way, people, uh, some light like, Like don't, uh, theme here with the smoking and stuff.
So just gonna warn you now.
But either way what? I was going fine, man.
I mean, it's like all these All these people are just getting wiped out.
I mean, what happened to San Fran? Ais it that Super Bowl loser? You know, hangover? Or is it just karma? Eso Ah, lot of the San Fran players yesterday tweeted after the game.
They said it was that turf it MetLife because I actually ah, guy.
A guy that was one of my clients at work, Um, was a turf science engineer or grass science engineer.
Whatever it iss, you know, like he was Yeah, yeah, his like his his career path and his dream is to end up in Fenway Park doing like the grounds there.
Right? So this guy knows a lot about that stuff.
And he said, All this new turf, this fake grass astro turf stuff with little rubber pellets has no give whatsoever.
So when you plant and your foot doesn't give, you blow it a c L.
And it's like we're seeing that we're seeing that so often now, like it's starting, you know, it's really starting to rear its ugly head. It's crazy.
Hey, I know what you mean by those beads.
You can always see it whenever the ball or when.
You know, you see that it looks like dust coming up, but it's not dust.
It's those beads they're they're speaking of.
And I think that they were maybe blaming it on the running back, saying Barkley What they want they blaming that his injury to.
But I think he's just an ankle.
No easy, easy cl as well. He's done.
Is it Solomon Thomas has done, um, dude.
And and that's just the ones we know right now.
Like there's there's more.
There's plenty more, you know.
And then it's crazy that something like that could take out people, you know? I mean taking I put a tweet out yesterday.
It really late last night.
I'm like, you know, sitting here thinking Okay, who makes the Super Bowl this year? Whoever has 50% of their starters by the end of the end of the regular season, you know who managed to stay healthy? Apparently, Uh, yeah, that's absolutely true.
And and that's I don't know if you watch hard knocks this year, but that's something Anthony Lynn said in the first in the first week.
He said, He said, This is gonna be an insane crazy year.
You gotta embrace the chaos and whichever team can survive the shenanigans, the best is gonna make it to the end.
And he's absolutely right.
Yeah, I mean, I can really see it.
I didn't catch that, But I mean, that philosophy being that way ahead of this.
I mean and and fantasy football owners are gonna have to embrace it, too.
They you know not only NFL fans, but the fantasy football people are just gonna have to.
I mean, it's, you know, like like we started out talking about this.
It was about consistency, you know, and it usually develops within the first 2 to 3 weeks you see, you know, consistently, it's all over the board.
The board is gonna remain all over the board this year, you know, and it's really how how kind are the fantasy football gods or to you and your roster? You know? I mean, I think that's really what it's going to boil down to this year.
It's a really gamble.
So anybody out there this gambling on this, uh, you know, I mean, if you put a bunch of money into these leagues before the season, you better be on your, uh, accusing piece and get get your waiver wire.
Whatever the hell it is you gotta do.
You better be on that to support your money because, you know, other than that, DFS shouldn't be affected too much because it's just going to throw a bunch of different players into the pool.
But, you know, it's still that's that's still a solid base, but it's gonna be a crazy year.
E no, man, and it really it really just boils down to this.
You've you've got two choices.
You can either pack it in and say, This is crazy.
I can't handle this or you just keep going and you plug you plug the holes where you can You do it, You can you fight, you scratch your claw your way into playoffs.
And if you make it to playoffs, anything could happen.
Oh, yeah, that Oh, that's in any given year.
So it's even mawr, especially given this year, you know? I mean, you see it happen all the time of the the one thing that I want to reiterate, and and I know it happens to all of us.
There are guys out here, uh, you know, giving advice like you do your start sets.
There's Look, folks, this is gonna be one of those years that you're really gonna have to cut some people some slack.
I'm not asking you cut me slack.
Keep me whatever.
Hold me up to whatever bar you want.
If I if I don't get the job done for you and your that just satisfied and stopped listening to me, that's fine.
But I see it out there.
Quit giving these guys that are out here on Twitter or wherever they are SportsCastr and trying to help you.
You know, they are doing, and then it's just you got to kept them some slack.
If if we were all pros, we would be in Vegas right now making money, real money and not sitting here trying to do this and help and help people and do what we love to do to begin with.
And it's like, you know, at the end of the day, fantasy football is supposed to be You are the coach or the GM making these moves for your fantasy team, you know? I mean, if you're really just going to copy what someone else is gonna start, Sit.
What's the point of playing? Right, Right.
Right before the game starts, they announced that every Williamson is is going to go ahead and he's gonna play on.
I'm thinking in my head. Okay.
There is no way I went and changed my lineups in a different place is how in the hell is he not gonna produce? How in the hell is he? You know, if he's healthy, they're saying it.
He actually wasn't, like, so hurt last week.
He just kind of healthy scratching away.
How the hell do you not have him in there.
You know, that's like a gold mine.
So I had a guy reach out to me, and it was right before the game started.
And he goes, Okay, I need I need to pick between Williamson Oka loon on.
I think he said maybe Duke Riley, I can't remember.
And you know, you got philadelphia.
You have You have, uh it doesn't matter what teams, but either way, I'm pretty sure those who are the players and I automatically I'm a big Oakland fans, you know, John And but he only played 75% of the snaps on the way.
Hey, didn't really produce that much, so I'm thinking, OK, so that's gonna be the case this week, you know, man Williamson, Williamson, get Williamson in there.
So what happened? Okay, okay.
Loon just He went off.
He had a really good game, at least on most formats, and scored really well.
And comparably Williamson ended up with, like, a third or quarter of the points.
And I'm like, I had to go.
I had to search and find the guy and go back and say may and my bad, you know, And he was like, it was not cool.
You know him? He actually came back, but it's going alright, and and that's an automatic to, Especially in that matchup.
You figure SANFRAN is going to run the ball 50 million times.
They're, you know, they're gonna smoke him.
It's gonna be a time of possession. Bloodbath.
Like, of course, you play Williamson.
It's a no brainer.
Yeah, I did the same thing, and then I saw today this morning.
Actually, he only played, like, 38% of snaps, so they were They were They were screwing with us, like, yo, Yeah, he's good to go like, No, he's That is always so good to g o dude.
L l ick Ogletree had more snaps, you know? Oh, Oh, yeah.
And it has signed him, Like, to the practice or something.
Yeah, Todo it makes no sense.
It makes no sense at all.
Uh, well, whatever you got to go with, that's the thing, though.
The processes you go with what makes sense and then just hope it works out.
Yeah. At this point, that really counts.
I mean, it's just, uh it's just crazy.
Uh, you throw in the gays factor up there, and it's gonna make it even worse, you know, um, Marcus may still, he's still produced.
He went off in week one.
He still managed to produce.
But there were players that I was looking this morning real quick.
I got to sleep in for the first time in weeks, so I haven't done my complete due diligence.
But I noticed that, you know, that we do have a few players.
Martinez, Kirk ski.
Some of them are staying consistent already early.
Don't be shocked if that doesn't happen next week.
You know, I mean the way This way this is going, you still got to get your dues.
You don't sit these guys, but, you know, don't don't throw your hands up and go running and screaming at somebody because all of a sudden something changed.
These guys, they're using these first few weeks just like they would in the priest season.
Evaluating what works, What doesn't work, what kind of adjustments have to be made.
And it's all just a shooting gallery.
You know, maybe you hit.
Maybe you don't.
I mean, that's that's all fantasy is man is just making educated guesses, putting yourself in the right position and then just praying to the fantasy guys and hoping it works out right. And that's north.
And that's in a normal season, you know? So, yeah, all of a sudden we got this Covic season going on, and this is just crazy.
I mean, they can even it's like Olga Tree putting him on their practice squad two weeks ago.
They Yeah, that's you can't do that in a normal season.
They know it's going to be crazy.
That's why they could do this.
So, um, you know, change subject here.
John's only got so much time this morning and this is my first time back or bringing him back on and getting himself getting us out here, Uh, I'd like to start doing these every Monday.
At least I'm gonna be doing these every Monday and pinning his his schedule.
Um, I think maybe next week I might have a guest on with me and John, so we'll see how that works out.
My computer starts smoking and Internet modem starts. It's buzzing.
And yeah, so it we'll see how that goes.
But either way, I want to bring up Chase, young man.
I don't know if you've seen that tweet I put out, but is he gonna be matchup proof? It certainly looks that way so far, man, like he's as advertised.
I mean, you know, if you if you get 10 sacks out of a rookie defensive end, that's that's an incredible season.
That's a Nick Bosa last year season.
That's a Josh Allen last year.
Season like that's a slam dunk, and he's gonna it looks like he's gonna go way past that.
I you know, I'm gonna advise anybody to listen to me, you know? Yeah.
You know, he looks matchup proof, and I brought that topic up in my start sit charts this week.
I'm like, we got to see it.
Let's see it for two or three weeks.
Well, **** here's to.
And that that match up against the Cardinals offensive line was on paper.
Ah, lot tougher than what he had going up against a beat up Philadelphia, I think in 11 in Philadelphia or whoever it was, right, right where they all feasted, right? So I mean, Carrigan even went off and he had, like, 30% of the snaps or something, right? That's right.
But, uh, you know, on that subject.
So So we'll wait this out.
We'll wait this out.
But it does look like because And I feel bad because I don't feel bad.
But I'm a Buckeye fan.
And to me, I liked Simmons better than I liked Chase Young on.
And I thought I really thought that they would use Simmons as a rusher because he didn't do that in college.
But I guess I didn't go enough love Chechens way before the season, I had my doubts.
I just I guess there's a Buckeye fan watching them all the time.
I've seen lapses, so I figured that would translate over.
You know, we'll see what all that goes and and see how this consistency is.
But, you know, for those of you that I mentioned that I liked Simmons better here, we got Simmons sitting on the sideline.
Not only what he did yesterday played eight snaps.
123 provides 678 That's it. E.
Even even throughout a brain ****, I was like because they just they lost their starting strong safety week one a brain part, I thought, and I just, you know, trying to trying to stow some love Simmons way.
I added it in the notes.
I'm like, you know, is this an open window for him to be able to get some snaps by playing strong? Say she should.
Did you imagine having, you know? But the reports coming out of campuses actually struggling.
Yeah, he's struggling with the playbook.
He's struggling, and that's probably got something to do with it.
They're giving him his time to develop.
I suppose you could say right there was no, there was no no preseason games either for him to get really world experience like so now they've got So now they're just They got to Andre Campbell, which is just like, you know, coming off a career season.
He knows what he's doing.
So they're just, you know, going with him.
But when I saw that, Yeah, deonte Thompson was that week one and Chris friggin banjo, whoever that is played all the snaps.
E was like, What is this? What is this? You got ideas? Chris Banjo.
Who is that like, Yeah, Banjo Played with the saints.
Ah, few years back for a few years, and he was always like bouncing around for the third Safety and special teams.
Yeah, you know, all of a sudden he's is relevant.
I don't Did he end up playing yesterday? He start for him.
A strong safety? Or do you know, I don't know.
I haven't looked yet at that one.
I saw, I saw I saw Dave, Andre Campbell played, I think, all the snaps again and had a really nice game again.
Which is weird, because now he's out producing Jordan Hicks a couple weeks in a row now to like.
That's also weird.
Yeah, I give myself a little paddle the back.
I'm kind of happy.
Back before the sign skull burnt down in Jacksonville, I had mentioned Man, that Myles Jack was actually set up.
I I know a lot of people were down on him last year because he got thrown into the middle linebacker position.
He didn't actually do that. Well, got hurt.
You know, that just created problems that I've seen his his ADP at the time is really low.
And I was like, Man, this is perfect, you know? I mean, you look at this guy, This kid, this kid is you know, he's no slacker.
He's he actually had great numbers and and everything graded well beforehand.
So I wrote that dime job and I said, Don't worry if they signed somebody and move him to the weak side linebacker position in the back of my mind is I said that I'm thinking that's where I want him because he is a lot better coverage type linebacker than he is that that guy standing in the middle likes Colbert.
And now, for two weeks in a row row now he was just barely because everybody loves Colbert's.
Colbert was going so high and drafts.
I mean, he was set up, you know? It still is.
Don't get me wrong.
It's not that he's not getting it done.
It's just that Myles Jack for two weeks in a row, Zeile produced him barely this week.
But, I mean, just hanging up there is just great, you know? So, yeah, it's just it's a crazy year, you know, it's just another thing, Um, back on the Washington, Have you seen the snap counts for Josh Allen and which is I'm gonna name John Yeah.
Jonathan Allen and I unite us.
Yeah, I have not.
I have not, But I saw an itis did. Well, again.
I don't know what Alan did.
Um, do you know? Um, yeah, the Yeah, I had seen it in a flash this morning s so I'm assuming not knowing the snap count right now.
Weak one. They went 50 50.
That's all they did.
They did both played around that 50%.
A matter of fact, I think Dionysius or whatever.
He actually only played like, 43 or 45 toe.
Alan. So they've got these two guys in rotation.
And now with what you're saying, this is two weeks in a row that it's Alan, which should have been the main, you know, in everybody's brain.
You know, Jonathan Allen should have been a real big producer, and it should have been I n itis or whatever his name is.
That was kind of the guy left out.
If 50% of snaps, I mean, that is low for even a rotational good defensive lineman on any squad.
Normally, you know, usually you got those guys anywhere 60 to 70% right? Yeah, That's what I look for, right? Yeah.
I could probably open up fantasy pros here and look this up.
But I'm kind of scared to or I'll lose.
You know, I just I just I just looked so Jonathan Ellen, I don't know the staffs, but he had four solo tackles and, like, a tackle for loss, which is fine.
Um, and I and itis had, like, three combined in a tackle for loss, which is Okay, um, the thing that that just blew my mind Kevin Pierre Louis, 15 combined tackles s.
So that's the second week in a row he's blowing up.
He's playing like 90% of snaps.
Oh, yeah, last week.
I thought last week he only got, like, a tackle.
No, no, no, no, no.
I can check both.
I could check both, but he's one of those guys that I was like, Hey, who the heck is this guy? Uh, be like, How long is he gonna be around for? Because, you know, Thomas Davis will be healthy at some point.
Fosters and I are tilt.
But he's a good linebacker, like, Yeah, well, I actually happened to know him because I I see a couple of years ago, uh, I missed out on a call for him.
Um, I actually made a call, but he didn't work out.
I think it was when he joined Kansas City.
He originally was like, uh, part of the Bears crew, and he actually had showed some flashes and did some things.
And then he got himself in some trouble.
So then he's bounced around.
I think he spent last year with K.
And I really thought that Casey would take advantage of him, considering that Hitchens is kind of lackluster in coverage and everything else.
But I thought when he had seen in reports and camp reports that he had been playing alongside Bostick in camp.
Uh, and, you know, I could have swore last week that he played 100% of the snaps, but he ended up with, like, maybe one, 90 99% of snaps week, 14 combined tackles and maybe something else.
Yeah, it wasn't enough like that.
And then you you're doing this Thomas Davis factor.
You you know, I mean, he is a Riviera guy.
For years in Carolina.
So you kinda gotta think that he was going to come in and take away from some of that.
So I didn't pay a lot of attention to that, Of course, how you can't hit on everybody, but yeah, that's that.
He's gonna be a hot waiver wire, add, you know, just like everybody else was last week.
I mean, we've seen four for the Rams.
Um, I really thought Brandon Jones from Miami.
I mean, he only, uh, strong safety rookie Week one.
He played 50 50% of the snaps, and he recorded, like, tin solo tackles, you know? And then you look at it on paper with Buffalo this week.
I'm thinking, okay, there's no way they're not gonna give him at least 50 to 60%.
Buffalo's a really good matchup for safety's, especially the strong safety position, you know, And I didn't go as far as telling people a man go get him and put him in.
But keep I was, like, just a prediction.
He's gonna be a really hot wire waiver wire at he did.
You did nothing.
Kevin Pierre Louis 97% of snaps this week.
Um, Jonathan Allen, 65 Rhinitis 55.
Yeah, but seriously, Pierre Louis isn't.
It's probably because I paid attention to him before it and swung a miss on him at K.
Um, he actually has some skills.
He just he went through some problems.
Yeah, he got in trouble off the field.
And I think it was probably things that it really cost him in Chicago.
You know, those types of domestic violence or something? Don't quote me.
I can't remember, but it just threw them off the map.
You know, I think they released him.
He might have not even played for the rest of that season or something.
And then he just kind of bounced around after that.
But it will be interesting in and again, he's gonna be hot.
There's still that risk next week.
You would think, you know that he is good.
Now, we haven't watched any tape on this guy.
He might have just been productive by default, you know, overall.
So nobody go running out and say, Well, those two dudes told me to go get him because, you know, way we've already seen.
It happened once already this year. So check this out.
Nick Vigil last week.
85% of steps this week.
Did you get in there, Kaiser? I think Perriman, uh, tranquil and one other wasn't tranquil.
I know One of them tranquil went down, man cried.
That's the Okay, so that's the ankle guy.
So it z Murray Perry, chairman, and I forget who the third was.
But it wasn't Nick Vigil after 85% week one.
So this this craps already happening, you know? And here's the big thing, because I I've caught crap about this before, right? So we don't work for the NFL.
We don't sit in on defensive team meetings.
If someone's gonna pull nausea good or if someone's gonna pull Nick Vigil, they're not gonna tell us, okay? Yeah, we don't know.
Actually, nobody even knows if you can work for the NFL.
You can work for the **** team that's gonna do it.
Unless you're those head coaches.
They don't tell these guys this crap halfway just right before you go.
And guess what You're starting.
You know, way had to turn in our depth chart for the for the game, You know, for them to put on TV and you're you're you're gonna start your get your shot this time.
If people knew, say, like Adam Schefter, chef or whatever.
Even these guys that work for the NFL network and stuff you don't think they would be taking advantage and trying to tell people, you know, we don't know this stuff, you know? It's all uneducated guest.
And sometimes that guest is just based off of what you know.
You know, it's crazy.
It's gonna be even crazier.
But But the thing is, you know, the further we get into it, the more we learn, the more we we we do the eye test with these guys, you know, we're watching the games.
We see if they suck or not, Um, like, like Isaiah Simmons.
If I didn't know that he was a rookie with a lot of draft capital and this huge all star that's supposed to be great.
When I saw him got torched by receipt, where he most here week one, I would have thought this guy sucks.
He's never gonna play in this.
You know what I mean? If if I didn't know who he waas, I'd be like, this guy is never gonna play. He's terrible.
You know, speaking of this, it's kind of the scenario.
We did this me and John and a few other I.
D p writers, some of this veteran type guys.
We did an article on Jamal Adams.
Okay, so the main reason we did this because there was a lot of love about how much higher and much better that he's gonna be in Seattle and I Still this is way early and granted, they are using him like, perfectly.
And basically, I can't say it's any more than what the Jets did with him.
You know what? You better do, right? Right.
And check this out.
The Jets air so bad on offense this year.
I think if you were still on the Jets, his numbers would be bonkers, even way better than what he's doing in Seattle.
Because the Jets air terrible.
They I don't know what their time of possession looked like yesterday, but in week one, they were on defense for 42 minutes.
A It you know, it's making Marcus May and Bradley McDougall look like all stars.
And sure, they're good.
They're not Jamal Adams.
If you were still if you were still in New York, he would be Oh, my God, I couldn't even imagine could not even yeah, right.
Well, the part is flooring me is that they've chosen to take a J.
R K J right the field and give and and and running these three safety sets arm or D V sets or whatever it is they're doing.
And they're taking a wildly veteran that is produced for them and been a good, solid player.
He is in his last year of his contract, by the way, folks.
So but either way, he it really is astounding to see that they went that far.
That that's the guy that they took off the **** field for.
To get Adams in position to make these plays and and I think marquees Blair.
I know he got hurt last night.
I thought it was an a c l.
So to digs, so I wouldn't be surprised if writes back in there next week.
Oh, it's not a saw.
Something else interesting, too.
So last night, patriots, when targeting Jamal Adams and coverage.
Six throws, six completions, 158 yards.
So, as as good as he is, quote unquote, he's not that great in pass coverage.
Uh, he's a good He's a good run stopper and he can blitz.
Yeah, that's it.
E actually saying I had to laugh to myself.
I chuckled E when he got beat by the fullback.
Did you see the replay? Okay, so there was.
It was down on the Patriots down on the goal line.
It looked like Cam was gonna run it in, but instead the fullback, instead of blocking it was Jamal Adams that the fullback kind of pushed him off to the side and Jamal thought, Oh, ****, I'm free.
And then there goes that ball.
But he realized it before Cam released the ball to the full back over, and you could see it in Adam's head.
It happened to Adrian Phillips just later on in the game.
They what? The fullback.
But they did exactly the same thing.
Now the funny thing is, I could imagine the fan going well.
Adrian Phillips messed up there.
Hay Adams did exactly the same thing on exactly the same type of play.
You know, nobody now and Adam Adams is going to be a tier one.
We nobody arguing.
No one said otherwise right? It was just the fact that all of a sudden his he was supposed to be better than what he what.
He was already in a top tier I D P. Asset.
That was really what that was coming from.
And like you just mentioned with these injuries with Seattle, do they change next week? Now, Right now, I keep right shouldn't be in anybody's lineup.
But if you've owned them or if he's been dropped and you've got room, Hey, there's an opportunity.
You might want to pick him back up.
He might be right back to his normal, normal play like he had in the past.
He's been borderline line back, low line back, one in games.
He's way and he's Oh, he's always been so consistent to That's the thing, like for years and years and years, and he's always dirt cheap.
So it's like whenever I make the edge rush linebacker argument, I always use KJ.
Wright is my example of of a cheap tackle floor guy that I would rather have because it costs nothing.
You're getting, you know, 6 to 8 combined tackles a game, and you don't have to worry about if he's going to get a sack or a splash play for his points.
You know, like e mean, obviously this year he's not playing yet.
But, you know, for years writing these articles, that was the guy used is my example, because he's always been really reliable.
He's always been good man.
If Pete Carroll knew that he was going to do this instead of trading away to first for Adam's, why didn't he offer them right? He done drafted Brooks.
He done had Barton on there.
If you're not going to use these guys, you could have had some guys step in and play this 40% or whatever snaps that he's getting.
You know, you could have gave him in a widely better, but maybe he did.
Maybe they didn't want him, who knows? But if I was, if I had been the Jets under like so e, they could sure as hell use them mostly is gone.
Jesus, it SSM s u it, Aziz Muchas people out there love Hewitt and Cashman and stuff.
There are some that jet fans that think they're better than they are.
They're not people.
They're warm, but they're not there.
Yeah, there they're warm bodies.
Is production by default.
But, hey, that counts And I d p So, you know, in a situation like this, the Jets again this year. Crap.
The Chargers air pretty well in a mixture flux.
Right now, I about cried, You know, Tranquil was one of my breakout calls.
First half hold their first week of the game against the Bengals.
Made the first hack.
What, uh, went out there in the next Siri's.
Yeah. Went out there in the next Siri's.
And there goes that ankle, you know, I'm like, ****, I'm just glad to hear that he might come back.
So you save some face on that.
If not, I'm right back on that bandwagon next year.
If he's healthy because I really think that him and Murray next to each other were, was the answer for the Chargers.
Yeah, all right, folks.
Well, I know John's got some business to take care of.
