This is your host, Alex.
Valid is joined by Caleb.
How you doing, Bud? Go ahead.
Brother had a birthday yesterday.
So, you know, get a comment getting settled back into the group of everything nowadays.
Um, are today got back around, you know, four o'clock this afternoon, do nothing but watch sports and get back into the grind.
So really happy to be joining me Tonight was an awesome Sunday night football game.
They were able to watch, came down to the wire.
So really cool stuff.
Well, for sure for sure.

Um, when you first sign up, And by the way, I am looking amazing and I feel so bad for like our team because I keep on winning on my book piece.
Looks like I feel like I'm going off all our algorithms.
But anyways, hey, let's, uh, let's dig into these games in.
I just want I want to mention this has been I don't know if this is a cause of no preseason or what it is, but we have lost so many players, so many players early on.
I mean, I'm sure not having a preseason.
I have something to do with it, but wow.
I mean, there's so many teams that are like being dismantled right now.
Yeah, and you can't necessarily blame it all on one thing.
But I think not having a preseason definitely have something to do with that.
You're not getting the conditioning that you are used to Azan NFL player.
You're not getting caught up on the speed that you're used to of the game after an offseason that you're not playing.
And not only that, but you learn not to put yourself in certain situations during the preseason.
So all those combined really having effect, in my opinion when it comes to these injuries, but this is more than we've ever seen in quite some time.
I mean, this week alone was heavy with these injuries and their big guys, like big name guys just going down left and right.
I mean, see, when the both brothers getting knocked out, I mean, pretty much the whole 40 Niners Stevens applying.
Um, just knocked out in Kansas City's defense, Going getting knocked out left and right.
I mean, Paris Campbell going down.
He might not be over the season.
Se Kwan Barkley Possible easy out there.
I mean, it's just left them right.
You have to write.
Remember, I was checking my sleeper app, which, if you guys don't know what sleeper is, it's just a fantasy football app.
Kind of like Yahoo, ESPN, whatever.
But they're update your real quick.
So anytime anybody went down, it was like, Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom One after another.
And I was just like, losing my mind.
And it wasn't We saw kind of.
It happened a little bit in the first week, but this week was a whole other level.
Let's go to the first game.
Buccaneers, Panthers, the Buccaneers.
Their first victory of the season, 31 17 happens to be Caleb's team in this game.
McCaffrey hurt his ankle.
Uh, gonna be something to monitor next week.
I mean, that's him and say, Kwan, that's already two of the possible top three picks and fantasy.
Uh, but overall, with the Patriots, I definitely was expecting a little bit more from Scott Miller after he dropped that touchdown.
He kind of just fell into the not the Belichick doghouse, but I guess the Brady doghouse because they don't really look his way.
But Mike Evans was back on his usual, uh, his usual, you know, workload.
Seven receptions, 104 yards a touchdown.
That's what you expect from Mike Evans.
Uh, I mean Panthers.
I know a lot of people were saying This is a trap game with spread, but I didn't think so.
Like like you said on the panel.
I mean, Tom Brady and the beginning of the seasons always kind of figuring things out.
So I was never worried about this team, but against this Panthers defense, I thought it was gonna be easy money.
What were your initial thoughts? Pre and post game.
Um, well, this whole divisions could be tough this year.
I mean, you've got the Saints.
You've got the Falcons, which we will most likely get to later.
Um, And then you've got the Panthers new quarterback, new head coach.
You know, a whole new system that they're running, but they still have, You know, the guys like CMC coming through and everything like that. And you got the bucks.
Who are the retirement team is what everybody likes to call him. Everybody.
Everybody moves to Tampa to retire, so But I didn't think of it that way.
I think they're gonna have to figure some things out, but I don't think Tom Brady came here.
Toe relax on Dhere kind of proved that, especially early on in the first half.
Hey, looked extremely extremely.
You know, old Tom in the first half of this game, really swinging it, really putting the ball in spaces.
I mean, I even think in the second half, he did very well putting the ball.
We're supposed to be very accurate.
A lot of things came down toe wide receivers not making, you know, the catches or defense playing very well.
So, um, it was a closer game than I expected.
Up until you know, Leonard Fournette with this 12 carries in two touchdowns in over 100 years.
They broke it open in the game, throwing out their their whole team.
Right now I have a buddy magnetic guy.
If you're listening, shout out to you for listening.
But **** good teams.
We're ****ed with all your Ronald Jones.
Yeah, I have one Ronald Jones share.
I thought about taking more, but once, you know, Leonard came on board, it was kinda hard to do that.
Um, but yeah, I think he's gonna end up getting more touches now that we kind of scene What can happen now when you give him, you know, are you give him a passing game toe work with? Um, he kind of called out his old quarterback, but we see what Gardner is doing now, So, uh, just mhm, you know, just just half his team's just got to give a little bit more comfortable with each other.
Um, there's gotta figure out a little bit of kings here and there, but I like their chances of, you know, maybe coming out of that division, uh, trans playoff spots.
No, I I definitely have the books.
Is like my division winner, even though it didn't seem like that was a consensus in our panel.
But, yeah, that was I.
You can't doubt to go next game.
A team who refuses to just sit down and tank the Jacksonville Jaguars Titan, 33 30.
I had Jaguars with the Spread and let me tell you that 13 point fourth quarter by garden mentioned the Jaguars was so good to watch.
I mean, I had people telling me like, Oh, you took the spread all the time.
They're so good that it I'm like, Yeah, it's not.
My picking of the Jaguars with spread was no detriment towards the Titans.
It was just Gardner.
Minshew is making it happen.
I mean, I'm impressed with when he can do what he did last week against a time, his defense or excuse me, a cold's defense that is extremely highly thought of entering the season after what they did last year.
And then the Titans defense, which is pretty much the exactly exact replica of the coach defense.
You think you would be the same thing.
But after seeing what Gardner did last week, didn't I was like I would ride that 8.
And after all, the A J.
Brown injury situation, Um, you know, everybody thought I was gonna be the Cory Davis show.
But man, John Smith for receptions, 84 yards, two touchdowns.
I've been on high on him fantasy wise, and a lot of people told me, you know, someone in particular Perry send the Earth Smith better than John Smith.
And I would like Thio have hold them accountable for that right now.
But yeah, John Smith.
When he when Tannehill came into the starting quarterback position for the Tennessee Titans, his targets went up like I think he was averaging at least six targets a game.
So to me, I was like quarterbacks, best friend tighten, and it was a parent and it was great.
And then Corey Davis.
Three receptions to 36 yards a touchdown, a little bit of a quiet game for him, but fraud purposes.
It's good to see because Cory Davis was, ah, highly drafted a receiver you start exactly exactly, and and to see him last week have ah, hell of a game against the Denver Broncos on then this week.
Thio, you know, still come through with a touchdown.
I have this big performance, I think, as a Titan Span and as, uh, for the Titans in general toe.
Have a number two receiver, a tight end to pair with a J.
Brown who was phenomenal last year, having a little bit of of a slow sop****re slump.
Slow start to begin with this year, but very impressive there.
Derrick Henry, 84 yards on the ground, averaging 3.4 yards a carry.
E was shocked that Tennessee was able to put up put up 30 points with Derrick Henry only having 84 yards and his longest run of the game being 14.
So, uh, that's where I was.
Kinda kinda gotta go, but yeah, go ahead, continue out.
Yeah, no Channel four touchdowns with 239 yards, you would think would be more of a passing on slot through through the air based on what you're saying.
But yeah, and then Robinson for the Jaguars, 100 yards rushing, 6.
4 yards per carry.
A touchdown low, viscous should know is getting involved in the running game and the path in game. I mean things.
Jaguar's team is not like like they're sucking a tanking like they look like that.
Granted, not a scary team, but like a fun team to watch.
Like, yeah, I mean, I mean, there won in one.
Yeah, I would expect after they got rid of everybody.
Yeah, it was a great day of football.
Besides, all of you know, the injuries.
That was kind of a downer on then.
Obviously, the news of James White's parents was kind of Ah, a huge down or, you know, and the game and cap that went off.
So but other than that, yeah, it was a great day of football.
But I'm talking about this.
Drags in times game we were just talking about you know how big of an addition for that is to the Tampa Bay Bucks offense.
But how big of subtraction is it for this Jags offense, man? James Robinson.
Really? Come on here.
Really explosive running back.
I mean, I never would have expected it ever.
Just, you know, looking on paper, Um, looking at film.
I mean, you could have been oppressed coming out of college a little bit but he's not one of those dudes that you kind of like key in on what? That's the thing with this Jags team.
I feel like they've all got the same mentality.
Um, they've got this chip on their shoulders.
You're like everybody expects us to tank, but we're not gonna ****ing tank were coming out here to win.
Games were coming out here to compete, and that's what they're doing.
Um, love what I see from government, you probably one of the best quarterbacks that avoiding beside Aiken the just constantly gets away on Ben back over to the Titans.
Um, we're talking about John Smith.
He's got three touchdowns in two games.
So dude is everything that he was supposed to be last year.
I mean, we saw him occasionally, you know, do some things last year and everything, but nothing to the level that we're seeing him do now.
And and it's honestly exciting.
I mean, I know there's tons of leaks that I'm in that he's not even still hasn't even been picked up in, uh, there's tons of people were still looking still looking toe.
Yeah, it's a shame.
I mean, you could start him like you might even have another top tight end on your team.
Like like a kid who or Kelsey, you know, run a too tight end said at this point, I mean, I think maybe one more game you wanna look at him and be like, is it for rial? You know, you just wanna maybe get one more just to see.
But I think this guy is the real deal.
He's gonna be the real deal.
And, um, it's cool to see that Tannehill can do more than just be a game manager here.
Um, he like you said four touchdowns.
What is it? 200 239 yards.
Hang, um, it doesn't blow you away, but it gets the job done, you know? So, uh, it's good to see him be able to do more than just have, like, 100 and 70 yards passing game and hand the ball off the Derrick Henry 30 times for 200 yards.
So, um, testy titans are slowly starting to come together.
I want to see a defense improve, especially with my bedroom.
My Rabel as their head coach But yeah, it was.
It was an exciting game.
Definitely turned into earlier today.
Next game in the in the lineup.
We have the Chicago Bears going against the Giants.
17 13 both starting running backs.
Did not finish this game.
One is out for the season.
I don't think it's, uh, as bad as, say, Kwan, but, yes, they Kwan tourney.
See how they're gonna do a few more tests, but it looks like this season is done.
Montgomery believe it's an ankle injury, some sort of injury.
Um, so he already was dealing with the growing issue before this toe.
Have that happen again? It's really tough on for the running backs in this game.
But e mean hey to biscuit guy have done.
He's got the pressure on back.
He's gotta He's gotta win these games.
He wants to keep that job.
Nick Foles is behind him, breathing on his neck.
And even though statistically he wasn't the greatest he made, he made the throws when they needed to is timely. It was time.
Yeah, very timely.
I mean, what a victory.
And by the way, what do your thoughts on Daniel Jones because I have a lot of friends who are Giants fan and they're already championing Trevor Lawrence.
This early with Danny Dimes is two years removed from being drafted.
It's a little early, in my opinion.
I think Danny is gonna be a hell of a quarterback at some point.
I don't know if it's gonna be soon.
I think he does.
I think he needed a little bit more time to learn.
Obviously, that was in the case.
They moved on to a lack pretty quick.
E think he should have spent a little bit more time to learn.
I mean, maybe not.
I mean, we've seen a lot of these quarterbacks succeed when they were thrown in and thrust into the job pretty quickly.
But we also see guys that don't need that.
So this was kind of a battle of the two guys who needed that who didn't necessarily get that.
And, you know, that's what we were down our hand with.
I don't know about the e.
I mean, if the Giants, uh, I don't expect much out of them now, especially if the same coin Barkley News is true.
Eso you know Why not? Why not take whatever? I think Trevor is more of the NFL ready type guys.
He's not, You know, Danny Dimes, who needs to learn more than he needs to just get out there and have some, you know, some time, you know, to just get, you know, acclimated to the speed of the game.
But, um, e have no idea what Christians saying that about E talk about that game, that Christian I thought he was going to say Danny Dimes with that.
All right, Christian, we'll pull up that comment real quick.
And once we get to that game, it's super sad news to hear about Psycho Wan.
Everybody's been bashing him really early on in season, not only when it comes to the running game.
I mean, he average almost less than the yards per carry last week.
His past blocking has been absolutely ****, Um, since he entered the league, it's not been great at all, so I mean, he's had areas to work on, but he's also this absolute elite playmaker out there, you know, so it's sad to see him go down with this type of injury because it's not something easy to come back from.
It takes a real strong headed, you know, play air.
And, you know, just person as a whole to do that.
So you hate to see it happen to somebody, like, say, corn.
Especially when he's got He does everything else, right? You know, he knows how to speak to the media.
He knows how toe be a great teammate on and off the field.
He doesn't mess up when it comes to that.
So hard to see that happen.
Um, but I think the Giants problems are a lot larger than just that.
So I mean, that's what that is when it comes to giants.
But when it comes to the Bears be, you know, like David Montgomery just coming off that groin injury, we don't get to see him a whole lot.
You know, last week because he was kind of probably taking it a little bit easy for when we saw him this week.
He was snapping.
Hey, was going off here.
He had almost 20 points.
Uh, you get what you get when you when that happens, Christians don't know.
We'll see what? But with the bears, you know they're going to rely on their defense.
You know, monsters midway times, three times for whatever you wanna call it.
But but David Montgomery was, you know, just starting to get into his rhythm early on in this game, he almost had 20 fantasy points coming in the first half before he got hurt.
And it was just unfortunate for him.
I mean, hopefully it's not something serious.
Hopefully, it's just, you know, like a slight little ankle sprain or something.
But it's one of those things.
He's one of those guys that I was talking about earlier just popped up on your screen.
Another injury that was like cheese.
I've got, like, three shares of David Montgomery.
I'm just dying over here.
I'm just getting smacked with injuries left in white, right in my fantasy league.
And, um, that's the last thing if you're the Bears that you want to have him because ultimately David Montgomery is the guy you lean on besides Alan Robinson and that Bears offense.
So yeah, yeah, something to definitely monitor.
Near and dear to our one of our co founders.
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Atlanta Falcons 42 39.
And, boy, was it a game and shout out to Matt for jumping into the stream.
Well, who pay that man bag? Get out of here. Yeah.
So what? What a game.
I mean, I'm gonna be honest with you.
This I've seen some cowboys fans, and I'm not talking about Perrie.
Some Cowboys fans say, Yeah, I'm like, hold on.
You can't say that after this game.
This game was great, but you can't say Super Bowl team from being letting the Atlanta Falcons with no defense.
Uh, right give you a 20 piece and you're not even put up a punch.
I mean, even Perry was joking about me playing corner for the Cowboys at halftime.
I mean, like, it was brutal. It was brutal.
I mean, but kudos to the Cowboys.
As much as I'm sure Christians gonna have some hilarious comments in a second, even the ugly games you gotta win.
And this game was an ugly one.
I mean, you let Matt Ryan Cook and Matt Ryan is cooking, and unfortunately for him, he's owing to, but he's putting up the numbers left and right.
Calvin Ridley is gonna be a fantasy God.
This year just the way he's been performing.
I love that absolute peace.
And, you know, Dak is leading this team in rushing touchdowns, which is insane.
That's great for my family teams, but yeah, don't give it to Zeke, but I mean, hey, you get it in the end zone, however you get it.
I mean, kudos to the Cowboys, but this is a great wind to, like, Lee nonsense and like way had to come back.
But I don't know if you could say this is, uh this is gonna be one of those games that, like get us get us rallied up.
It's like Well, you shouldn't have been down that bad, like to begin with, like on paper.
This team is is so much better than what they play for it.
I mean, and I know they had Vander s and and strongly Botham went down.
I mean, injuries have been ra***ing them, but yeah, next man up.
Even with that, the Cowboys 42 39 I mean, good victory here.
I hope for their sake and for Twitter sake, they get it together.
Or else it's gonna be like NBA Twitter with the Clippers after this one.
I mean, it was all over.
I mean, I already have my my Perry cd.
I'm ready to go. I'm gonna keep on posting it anytime.
It seems worthy, but, I mean, I I don't I'm not believing cowboys.
I mean, the falcons defense.
Okay, I'm not gonna say anything else.
What do you think about the cowboy? Um I mean, it's a huge win for them.
Let's not get that wrong.
They needed Thio win this game and not go down.
Oh, and two to start the season.
Because, like you said, uh, the Twitter would have been all over them.
So they definitely needed this victory Brought in my opinion, it's nothing that they did.
They didn't do anything.
Is the Falcons in them? Typical Falcons fashion.
Just given the game away.
And that's ultimately where we're at with this, like it's your up 20 and you give it away.
I mean, cowboys from the get go should have been put the ball in the air.
You don't put the ball in the air, you consistently run it on first down, you know, the Atlanta Falcons secondary is week one of the weakest in the league.
Um, in just 30 pence period, you should be taking advantage of that with what is supposed to be the number one offense this year, after being the number one offense this year with a better coaching staff, better coaching staff and quotes.
Uh, but, uh, s O I am actually extremely critical of this Cowboys team at this point.
Um, just because of that, you should be dominating a defense like the Falcons.
They're not a good defense.
I know they might have a decent line, whatever, but take advantage of it.
You know, their safeties, their corners, or week go after they put the pressure on them to be able to do that.
So, um, and their schedule doesn't get any easier.
They play, they play like Mattis saying they played Seahawks next week.
So, um, if they want to prove all the naysayers like myself and you wrong, who don't buy the Cowboys, then they need to go and win that game.
We just saw what the Seahawks were able to do, um, tonight against the Patriots and this Patriots team, although they lost a bunch of pieces had a bunch of guys opt out.
Um, they said we're at Cam Newton.
Um, he's proven me wrong.
So far this year, I was a Doubter.
Um, he's proved me wrong.
So Seahawks, a good team, patriots a good team, and you're gonna have to face Russell Wilson.
And that's not an easy task.
So, um, prove it to me next week.
Maybe I'll change my mind here, but, um, it's unfortunate for Atlanta.
First off, how in the hell as a special teams player do you sit there and watching onside kick roll seven yards and nobody just even tries to jump on it.
I find that I know that a little bit for toe, not make it 10 yards and be a penalty.
But yeah, but I mean, still, if you even see it come within two yards, you gotta jump on that.
You can't just I assure you that that was You can't extreme that either one is not going to go that far or two.
It's going to go out of bounds because there's a game on the line here.
I don't care who you are as a player.
You had a jump on that like I'm not even.
I'm not in play in the NFL and I know that.
Get on the ball, get on the ball.
There was one point in the replay there.
It was a solid circle of people around the ball, just watching it roll across, just watching it.
I was blown away that that even happened.
I mean, Cowboys got lucky on that.
I mean, not that Cowboy's got lucky, but that was a situation that, like I mean, that really said the Cowboys up because, I mean, who knows? It's defensively.
They would have gotten that same result, but yeah, right in, In my opinion, that that comes down to coaching.
You gotta let your players know this is what's gonna happen if the ball is here.
It s so, in my opinion, that deserves a little question of when it comes to Dan Quinn's job.
And I'll just leave it at that.
Yeah, A lot of people have already mentioned.
How do you allow this guy to keep his job with another monumental collapse again? It's not the Super Bowl, but collapses.
Air happening e mean, but next game we have Indianapolis Colts Minnesota Vikings R I p to all fantasy owners who played a lot of fab on the him Heinz and he only got one reception for four yards. No carries.
Um, yeah, I'm glad I only spent like, $15 fab on him because at least e just on the bench.
But, uh, you know, the Colts kind of got set up in a situation where, you know, Jonathan Taylor gets to be the guy now without having to worry about, you know, Mac being the in in the midst of, uh, getting the carries 26 carries, 101 yards, a touchdown.
I mean, be honest with you.
I'm disappointed with the Vikings because I thought they would put up a bigger fight on this game.
But I'm honestly, really disappointed in Philip Rivers.
Two games in, uh, I know he had a noodle armed last year and everything with that, but he has a running game.
He has an offensive line.
I would think he would be performing a little better through the air, considering he's always been a gunslinger.
I mean, Mohali Cox stepped up this week for Jack Doyle, which was great.
Michael Pittman got a little bit more involved, but I just I'm blown away that he hasn't been able to kind of break out or have, ah, bigger game.
All the all these pieces around him.
What do you think? Yeah.
So, ultimately, the storyline, um, in this game here has been, you know, the absolute awful play of both of these quarterbacks.
E mean, you could say Philip Rivers played okay, but in my opinion, at 36 point two Q b r is not okay. That's awful.
E mean, you have one touchdown, one interception, equal each other out or whatever, but at the other day, healing there for 214 yards, I mean, you played your completed 19 to 25 passes, Okay? But you didn't make any game changing plays here.
Um, and more almost more than half of your actually.
More than half of your hard to go to your tight end.
So where is the passes? Were the deep throw? You know, too.
I hope he's gotta be that lethal threat.
I know parents. Campbell got her. Please don't.
Michael Pittman Jr.
The running game was, you know, hint It's highlights today with, you know, Taylor being the guy, which we all know he would be, um, just coming out of Wisconsin, being that type of player, That's who he's gonna be.
He's going to run the ball.
He's gonna run it well, so e mean, that's the concern.
When it comes to Indianapolis, do defense stepped up much better than they played last week against Jacksonville.
So that was nice to see is well, And the question when it comes to the Vikings is why is down and cook only getting 14 touches? Um, that's a real concern, in my opinion.
I don't know if that's because Stefanski is over her in, um, Cleveland now as their head coach and you got a new O.
I don't know what to deal with.
I know Madison got three carries, but I mean 17 carries between those two guys.
That's not gonna get the job done.
You know both of those guys airplane makers.
I mean, Dalvin, period is one.
He's got some of the greatest vision from a running back in the NFL, in my opinion, and I was in Madison, just, you know, back set up with his power and how quick he is.
So when those guys air between the two of them only gets 17 touches, that's a problem.
And then not only to mention that, but your starting quarterback that you just paid a hefty sum of money what two years ago or last year has a Q b R of nine point. What, 69.3.
Excuse me? Um, that's pretty pitiful.
And, yeah, they're gonna have to figure that offense out.
And it all starts with giving your running backs the ball.
I don't know how you how you have Dalvin cook on your roster and you're not making them the focal point of your offense.
I mean, help your quarterbacks out.
I mean, if you have a running back that can command and be the guy and make plays, I mean, Dalvin Cook is a phenomenal runner.
You're not winning football games.
If you're not putting the ball in his hands in some capacity next game, we got the Buffalo Bills.
Miami Dolphins a closer game than most would expect.
Some people may attribute that to the thunderstorm delay that kind of made a longer halftime.
But you know Josh Allen with the second career 300 yard game? Yeah, he's, uh, he's been hearing what Cory's been saying.
So, uh, I think for the Bills I mean, this is encouraging to see Josh Allen kinda, you know, have consecutive great games through the air.
Uh, for the dolphins.
Uh, e mean they made this a game.
They made this more of a game than than I'm sure a lot of us were expecting.
Um Myles Gaskin.
Brita, he added.
Maher is not a monster at all.
E thought Jordan Howard would be a lot better this year. He has not.
I think he's averaging like a Arctic, maybe under a yard carry, which is gross e.
But you got that? Yeah, so that he started to turn into, like Peyton Barber.
Like Peyton Barbara Stat Line is always 17 carries, 38 yards and two touchdowns for some reason, like he always finds his way in the end zone.
But for that, that Dolphins offense just the highlights.
I mean, Kosecki.
Eight receptions, 130 yards a touchdown in a hell of a gravity of sideline.
Isaiah Ford, seven catches, 76 yards.
Five catches, 53 2. Touchdown.
I mean, there's some pieces here on this offense that I like for them long term.
I'm one of those people that I'm saying the Dolphins could be a team that could compete in about two years.
I think they need to kind of stay on the track.
That force has them on and, you know, keep on building.
I mean, kudos to Josh Allen.
417 yards. Four touchdowns.
Uh, it's getting kind of hard to slander.
What do you think? Yeah, so very promising.
Showing here from the dolphins.
Like you said, they got pieces.
I love their pieces.
We see, um, Kosecki is the real deal, and that's what we're waiting to see.
He bawled the hell out today.
E mean, you get, you get 11 targets, you catch eight for 130 yards and nasty stag there on the sidelines.
And e mean, absolutely phenomenal.
I love Devante Parker.
I love Preston Williams.
The question really comes down to What are they gonna do with that backfield when it's time for two or to take over? So I think that's kind of the next piece there waiting on.
And, um, I was very surprised that they were able to hang in with this Bills team, especially with the type of defense the bills have, um, coming over to the other side.
Dolphins have probably, you know, top five secondary in the league.
And, uh, Josh Allen throws for 400 yards for over 400 yards for four studies.
It's like if that doesn't shut up any of the haters and then I don't know what does.
Because the Dolphins secondary scares me.
I don't know if I really want, you know, my guy and Tom going out there and throw it against the Dolphins for, you know, 35 attempts and for 400 yards.
But e mean, I would love for that to be the case, but I don't that would not happen.
S oh, I think it's time to put you know, those things to rest.
He's got it figured out, in my opinion now, and I think the Bills are ultimately, you know, the team to look out of coming out of that division.
No, definitely, I I think the bills in the in the Patriots We're gonna have a fun, fun season trying to go back and forth on it.
I definitely think that their matchups now we're gonna be that much more important.
Uh, the next game Injuries man.
40 Niners Jets 31 13.
Garoppolo goes down at half.
We got 4 to 6 weeks.
Most hurt had 96 yards in the first half out for the next week or two, depending on his injury.
Uh, Kittel, you know, he had his He missed this game.
I cannot believe any.
The Jets were even worse because I think Paramount even got hurt, Which means, like, there's just two came out receivers out there.
And you have Frank Gore like who was who was alive for, like, the Civil War, whose like carrying the load for the Jets like this? This Jets team is so gross.
Get Adam gets to **** out of there, Get the GM out of there for this case.
Like the fact that this is a team that's performing on Sunday, like as an owner.
If I was the owner of this team, I would be upset.
I would You need to do a fire sound.
Just get rid of all these guys because Adam gays, too busy sniffing whatever salted is that opens his eyes and won't let him blink for seven hours.
I mean, it's it's embarrassing, and Sam Donald's gonna get burnt because of it, because somehow they're going to just blow this kid who has who has Cem Cem talents and intangibles that he could be a good starting quarterback.
He just happens to be on the the New York Jets, which is looking like to be a quarterback graveyard.
Now, just because I don't think Sam Donald's talent supersedes what this team puts in front of them.
Uh, but before I let you go, I'll let you start.
49 has got the victory.
This NFC West is very tough this year, and all these injuries they have.
Yeah, I'm sorry, Mark.
This is looking kind of rough.
Unless unless Nick Mullins can can kind of get some of that magic he had before Jimmy G showed up, or that you're Jimmy G was out 40.
Niners looked to be the odd team out in the NFC NFC West, and the Cardinals, Rams and Seahawks are all very competent teams.
You can't afford to lose anybody right now.
But what do you thought for this game and the long term? Yeah.
So? Ultimately, um, that division already was hard and I was a little on the Rams before season even began.
And now that's completely changed Roles.
Rams look legit.
They look like they're title contenders like they were a couple of years ago.
So you lose your two guys who are your guys on the defensive side of the ball? Both Tosto injuries.
They're gonna be out the rest of the year.
That's a huge issue.
Solomon Thomas is just coming into his own.
And Bosa we all know what he's been able to do and what he is.
So those were huge bosses, huge staples in your defense.
Not to mention Richard Sherman's getting older as the day goes.
Um, and then you have a high ankle sprain with Jimmy G.
George Kendall missed this game against the Jets.
Albeit but it's gonna be a real question. Marks.
Seattle looks legit.
Rams look legit.
Arizona looks T J s.
Oh, it's gonna be really tough.
Go around 40 Niners and I pray for my boy Mark that it doesn't turn out the way he doesn't want it. Thio.
So, yeah, that's just what it is for the 40 Niners.
But But when it comes down to this Jets team, um, it's the definition of a dumpster fire.
I was hoping, Sam, Donald, you know, would just be able to turn it around for them.
But that's not gonna be the case.
Unfortunately, just because it is the Jets organization, um, it's chopped down. It's just awful.
I think they need a completely just redo everything, get a whole new ownership in maybe, like, even go that direction.
So, um, you know, just get a whole new brand.
Ultimately, you need Thio reinvent who you are as a whole team, and that starts from top to bottom.
So I don't want to spend too much on them because they're not working about maybe, yeah, you know, they're not next game.
On the line up, we have the l.
Rams beating the Philadelphia Eagles 37 19.
I mean, I I got to give it to the Rams.
Uh, then I'm going back to that up tempo offense.
Robert Woods, who you know, was everyone's like diamond, not diamond in the rough.
But They're like, they're They're Cinderella for the Rams offense, you know, with the 12 man personnel that has allegedly been spoken about.
But this team, I mean, they have a trio running backs.
They have Malcolm Brown, Darryl Henderson, and they have comic who can makers, unfortunately, got injured.
I don't know the extent to his injury, but their running game is gonna be fine.
Their passing game, I mean, Jared Goff.
Three touchdowns, 267 yards.
E mean they are as impressive as I thought.
Maybe the Eagles were gonna be.
And Eagles air now, owing to the season.
Uh, he's not injured, but he's having a rough time.
He started off very rocky, but he finished off strong, which was encouraging.
But man, this ego seem, is going to underperform this year, and I just think that offensive line is just I mean, look, you can't you can't You can't expect the quarterback toe to perform well with Aaron Donald's 100%.
That's like two men.
It's like it's like 30 horsepower.
Just coming at you like that man is insane.
Um, but yeah, kudos to the Rams.
I did not believe in them at all.
I'm sure Christians gonna clip this and remind me that I didn't believe in them.
But yeah, no rams look fantastic out there, and the Eagles are on the opposite end of that.
And I'm sure Eagles fans were getting kind of quiet now with the cowboy slander.
Because I don't really have much to stand on right now.
Yeah, we already knew from the get go that this Eagles offensive line was gonna have troubles with all the injuries that they've endured early on, even in the early practices before the season started.
So, um, we saw that be really tested in their first game, remember who they played, but, um, they were ra***ed.
Yeah, they're reading alive.
Um, then So I picked up the Rams defense just expecting the same thing.
And guess what? I e think, Um, there's no fans in the crowd, and Carson Wentz was still getting good.
So that's one way.
Was that game in l.
A or result in Philadelphia you don't like Wait.
So that was in Philadelphia.
Yo, y'all Ph and your your guys, this p a announces air sick.
Why would you do that? You don't have to dio really sports from its territory, so But honestly, it's not all his fault.
You can't do anything.
So, um, not to mention your wide receivers air out Your best wide receiver right now is a rookie.
And Jalen Rigor and just Sean Jackson s o.
Um, and even those are probably your best receivers.
Miles Sanders is probably the best arrived receiver and your best running back right now.
So, um, you could only do so much when it comes to the Eagles.
I think they're gonna have a very bad year now.
Starting off phone to is not good for the morale of the team.
Especially when you have a high expectations.
Like you were saying.
We all expected, um, the Rams to be, though in two team after this week, Not the Eagles.
Um, and that's leading to that as well.
Is that I'm very surprised at how the L.
A Rams were playing.
They look legit, like I was saying earlier.
Um, there three headed monster at running back.
I know we haven't seen much of cam makers yet, but he is a force of nature that I expect to be dealt with at some point during the season.
Especially when it comes to catching the ball in the backfield.
Eso Malcolm Brown stepped up huge.
If division and going down there wide receivers, it just like you're saying back up to their up tempo offense.
It just looks so much better.
Jared golf Looks like you did two years ago.
He doesn't look like it was hard for him to figure out like it was last year.
Like he was trying to learn something totally different.
So, um, really excited to see where this l a Rams team is gonna go 100% Next game.
We have the Pittsburgh Steelers against Broncos 26 21.
This'll one was a little near and dear to my heart because true.
Yes, we're both on the Drew lock season.
Corey, shut up and I can already hear you.
And you're somehow listening to this.
Um, I definitely I'm still on the Drew lock season.
Uh, get out of here with the Jeff Driskel talk, Corey, because you almost you guys almost hearted Jared Stidham and you were.
Just stop doing that.
Stop trying to make those quarterbacks a thing.
The steel curtain is just, you know, it was it was a little wrinkly today, but But they definitely got the job done.
When? When? When play needed to be made.
I was happy with the performance today.
I was disappointed a little bit with the defense.
You know, there was some place where I think they kind of over committed stuff that you just you know, you're gonna have games like that.
But overall, I mean, James Connor looked a lot better out there.
Thank goodness I was getting tired of everybody.
I was hearing to me me nicknames of James Connor.
I'll tell them to you off air because I don't want to repeat them on air, because there that ****ed up.
Uh, Denny, that's for you.
Case you're listening.
Nickname Don't never They never call him that again.
Um, but yeah, I mean, sucks for the Broncos to have drew lock go down.
I think you know he has a bright future.
Uh, you know, there's just something you're gonna have the weather for.
now, but I was just super excited with the Steelers and honestly, as a Steelers fan, I'm going to just soak up as much Steeler football as I can because I mean, who knows how long Ben Roethlisberger gonna play for and a Z I've seen with some teams finding the next quarterback after it is gonna may take some time because I don't believe it's on our roster.
I don't believe Mason Rudolph is our future.
As much as some fans will try to convince me, I don't eso I'm going to enjoy as much Big Ben as I can.
300 yards, two touchdowns, one interception.
James Connor had a game to deonte Johnson.
Uh, he's a second half player.
Perry stopped, like relax every every first half.
You freak out in these last two games and second half, he comes back and finishes the job, so just breathe.
It's a it's a four quarter game, not a to quarter games when you just stop tagging me and saying text Deontay because first of all, Deante is a middle Games in volume text.
Um, I do have his number, um, but he had a he is like the possession receiver.
I feel like for this team.
I think juju is going to be kind of like the kind of break out and be the deep threat, which I mean some receptions for eight yards.
Not really the deep threat.
We were thinking, Uh, but I do want to put a spotlight on Chase Claypool first.
Bigly touchdown in a hell of a play kept his foot inbounds.
Uh, like the Steelers way, which, by the way, I think that might be one of my next tattoos.
Is that Santonio Holmes to attach like the silhouette of it? Just because that's such a memorable ah moment in my fandom.
But, yeah, I was encouraged by the Steelers game.
I think they could have done a lot better.
But again, just like the Cowboys, you just got to be happy as a family.
Got the leading man.
Yeah, so I think Pittsburgh's defense started off extremely well.
I think they came out ready to play on bond there.
Honestly, one of the best defense is in the league, in my opinion.
Top five, for sure, I think they were ready to play.
They were ready for that drew lock, you know, show that everybody wants to see s o.
I mean, like you and I were saying before is we both love him.
Uh, it was unfortunate to see him go go out so early.
But I think once Driscoll came in, they were kind of they let off the gas pedal a little bit.
You don't necessarily have to try as hard as we usually have to do.
But ultimately, I think that was a smart decision on their part because you don't want to see anybody get injured by playing their hardest against, you know? Ah, former back up quarterback at the University of Florida to eventually ended up losing attack.
So, um, there's no you don't need to stress that much over him.
He did have a decent day, but he's not Drew lock.
So why do you need to go out for that? But when it comes to the Steelers, I say, watch out for that tandem of Deontay Johnson and Chase Claypool because they're getting ready to run.
Jude, you out of town real quick.
In my opinion, if you have each of those two guys one on one side, one you have? Yeah, guy on one side, He's gonna burn you based off of his route running his just pure, great hands.
Or do you want the big guy who's gonna come down within anyways? Who do you wanna do you wanna match up with? Because either way, you're gonna have to let one of them get free in Either way, one of them is gonna harm you and get out there.
So, um, it's exciting to see those two guys, but, uh, that's gonna put the pressure on juju so we'll see what he could do, but yeah, it's good to see James Cook finally get another 100 years or 100 yard game under his belt in the second game.
I know he was feeling the pressure to, you know, perform a little bit, too.
Especially after last week.
Yeah, I know that.
That that definitely was Major and Benny Snow.
Three carries for five yards.
So sorry for everybody who started him.
Snow, snow and high winds.
Both huge waiver wire pickups last week and does Yeah, and and pregame coaches were talking about they were gonna split carries it.
Next game we have the Arizona Cardinals beating the Washington football team.
I'm gonna I'm gonna always slip up and accidentally say the other name just because it's forever ingrained for the moment.
I thought this was a trap game with the spread, so I kind of stayed away because of that defensive line, you know, but Kyler Murray man, he the way he runs on the football field, it's almost like he's on Madden like those quick stops and turns like Incredible and his connection with DeAndre Hopkins so encouraging.
I mean, I mean, this team is scary.
I mean, if it wasn't for their defense being such a huge, gaping hole, I would, you know, be a little bit more of a favorite for them for the for the West.
But, you know, they're sneaky team on, then, for the washing football team.
You know, Haskins made some place, but again, Haskins still very raw prospect that you know it's gonna need more than Cherry McLaurin on that offense.
Thio to make some noise.
But what do you think, man? Yeah, it's like I was saying in the panel that we did a couple of weeks ago.
Is that Hoskins is taking, you know, a little bit of that next step.
Not a huge leap like we've been wanting to see from him.
But he's taking a little bit of a step.
He just needs more.
I think that away from his teammates around him, but also from the coaching staff.
Well, hey, didn't necessarily performed very well, but when your only weapon is Terry McLaurin scary Terry e s were supposed to do.
And you're constantly pressuring your face and it zahhar thing to do when your young quarterback and not everybody could do it.
So, um, that's what it comes down to for him.
I'm lucky that I've got the one good player for Washington on my team.
And that is scary Terry on my fantasy team.
So I'm luckily for me.
So that's good for me.
But looking over the other side, um, like I said, this Arizona Cardinals team is gonna be very scary, Especially with their offense.
Um, definitely don't know.
Um, what else you can say about Kyler? Murray? Just He's so young, but he's so good.
He stops on a dime.
His connection, his vision.
Um, he just he gets the game.
It slows down for him so well.
And he's, you know, one of those another young quarterbacks like a Russell Wilson tied for, um, you know.
I mean, you could say Baker Mayfield small with Baker has, but I want to get the job done yet, but you know, he's another one of those small quarterbacks that you know aren't your prototypical NFL quarterback.
But he knows how to play the game, so it's really encouraging to see him.
I mean, have over a 90 q b r Kenyan Drake starting to get things going a little bit, too.
I mean, he doesn't even like focus in on him.
So I mean, when you can spread the ball around, give, um, Isabella chunk yards, you could give Kirk chunk yards.
You target fits just about as many times as you target Hopkins.
You're really gonna be able to spread that offense around and get people guessing on defense.
And that's a huge thing when it comes to the NFL.
Yeah, and then also real quick before we get to the next games.
I keep on seeing this tweet saying, and y'all wanted him toe get ground balls in Topeka.
Uh, but I think I think he would have played well in baseball, too.
I mean, he's just an athlete, So yeah, 100%.
But next game, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, 33 15.
Um, yeah, honestly, what? Every time I would change to that game, it felt like I would always see to Shawn Watson running out of the pocket or running away from somebody.
That shouldn't be the first memory I have of my 160 my $160 million quarterback.
Like, I think that ridiculous.
I mean, they're paying Leterme tensile.
He's the most well paid, the tackling and the NFL.
He might be one of the most lucrative lending contracts to which again is Bill O Brien, Bill O'Brien, and, um but yeah, I mean, I expected a little better from the from the Texans, you know, that's two straight weeks where I'm sure a lot of people had the hope for a shoot out because of, you know, DeShaun Watson as a quarterback in his own right.
But, I mean, Baltimore Ravens.
I mean, they're one of the gatekeepers of the FC.
They're gonna be the somebody's gonna have to get through Baltimore in Kansas City.
Those those air, in my opinion, still two of the marquee teams here in the a f C.
They handle business today again against the Houston Texans.
They made it look really easy.
Mark Jackson continues to improve as a passer.
I mean, he's he's a heck of a quarterback.
And I just love to see it, man.
Yeah, there wasn't a question my mind about who was gonna win this game.
It was just found by how much? Uh, we saw how Houston looked last week and their opener against the Chiefs.
And then right after that, you got the rave.
And so good luck.
Um, everybody was raving about how David Johnson looked in his first game with Houston.
He did not look anything.
A shell of that this week.
Um, you got to Sean throwing for 200 some yards, but he's also got a Q b r under 50.
So you really paying this guy to do that when you're not trying to help him out? I know you got It's just, in my opinion, this is all Phil's fault.
I know he made the right, the right move in pain there, John Watson.
But you got rid of his guy in DeAndre Hopkins, and you go and get David Johnson from Arizona, who has been kind of washed, and she's had his injury.
Eso very questionable moves on his part, and I think that's ultimately what it's gonna come down to.
I think Houston is gonna win some games that we don't expect him to this year.
But when you start off with the two games that they had, it's not gonna look good, especially with no, you know, preseason or anything like that.
But, uh, never need to talk about the Ravens because the Ravens are the Ravens.
And that's just how they're gonna dio exactly next game and one of the more fun games to watch.
Can City Chiefs defeat the Chargers in overtime? 23 20.
Taro Taylor ends up missing this game with a chest injury.
Um, just never comes in.
And I'm gonna be honest with you.
I was fading the **** out of er vor every capacity.
I didn't think he was ready.
Um, you know what? In one game, now again, he could come back.
Uh, and **** the bed the rest of the way and I'll be right.
But so far as of today, Justin Herbert made me look like I am a dumb ass because he wasn't afraid to spread the ball out there.
I mean, he has the weapons.
Uh, I wanna pull up this question to Just because it came up earlier might be too early to say, but who are you want impressed with Joe Per or Herbert? Will you answer that in a second? But Herbert took advantage of his weapons.
I mean, he's blessed to have Keenan Allen.
Mike Williams Hunter.
Henry Ecker finally was getting the ball at the back.
I mean, he is The way he was playing was like when I play my career mode and Madden and, like, I'm just the the mobile quarterback just throwing it all over the place like it looked that unreal e even He even took a shot from a linebacker and was the one that got up after it, which was impressive in its own right, but yeah, Herbert, I mean, kudos to you.
What? What? What a heck of a start.
Whether you know, it was planned or this injury was this freak as it was being reported, but very impressed with the Chargers and with the Chiefs look as like, I'm literally in the middle in the midst of writing an article about how I think the Chiefs were gonna be like, the gatekeepers that the Patriots, where the last decade this and it sucks that it's gonna have to drop after this game because I'm sure we're gonna get a couple of comments on that.
But, you know, it's It's like the situation with the Cowboys.
It's like sometimes you're gonna need to get these ugly winds.
And, you know, Pat Mahomes wasn't Pat Mahomes.
So the fourth quarter, but he was Pat Mahomes when it mattered, so that was encouraging.
But I am very impressed with Justin Herbert.
Uh, I will give him a little bit of an edge to burrow Onley because his weapons are far superior than burrows.
I mean, you have to startle receivers.
You have a great tight end.
You have, you know, a great running back running back.
You have an offensive line, you have an offensive line, which, you know, borough has somehow has not made too many weird faces at which is insane with how many times he's been under pressure.
But so far, most impressed, I would say, Herbert, but that might be partly because I didn't expect very much of him.
But I mean, two great young quarterbacks.
So it's always exciting when you see the new chapter of the NFL and love to see it from these guys.
Yeah, and I'm going to start on.
I'm gonna get the praise to somebody who doesn't normally get a lot of the praise.
And that is, um, the kicker for the Chiefs and Harrison Bucker.
Um, now 3 50 yarders in a row.
One you get a false start on the first one is 53 yards.
Okay, back that one up the 2nd 1 58 yards.
You get frozen by a time out from the other team, but you nailed both of them.
So you gotta come out a third time and it's another 58 yarder and you've pump it right through like it's not a not a big **** deal.
It all like that is impressive.
You don't you don't see.
I mean, you get kickers.
Do that all the time, and you get one shot at a 50 yarder.
And that's just way off.
So, dude, perhaps to you for the brand, you know, love that.
Congratulations on bucking for being able to do that, but, um, e should have think either I'm frozen in your sorry.
So obviously, the story here is the performance of Justin Herbert.
Um, make your saying, Alex, I was not expecting this at all.
I didn't think he was ready.
Um, and after he had that collision with the linebacker and he just pops right up in the linebacker was just laying there.
Still, it was just like, shocking to me.
I was like, he's a rookie and he just took that shot and he just hopped back up like it was no big deal.
Like it looked like he got murdered.
Hey, just popped right back up after that.
And then even after that, he just turned it on.
You started swinging it, um there were a couple of throws that were questionable, in my opinion, that I think his players bailed him out on.
I know there is one re where Keenan Allen caught the ball and it was it was supposed to be like a back shoulder or like a deep, long throw on King Island.
Stopped on a diamond shot in words because the past was inside instead of out.
So he definitely got bailed out there.
But, um, overall a very, very good first game for, you know, the young Justin Herbert.
I I think he's gonna be good for a long time.
And I hate you know, doing that after one game.
But that is the defending Super Bowl champions in the Kansas City Chiefs.
And it's a legit team.
Another defense isn't.
You know all that.
But I am very hard on Herbert after this game.
Yeah, super impress.
Kudos Thio, that young man in his in his rookie start and then Sunday Night Football.
You got the Patriots Seahawks Seahawks coming out of Victor's 35 30.
Now, you re cap me in the first three quarters of the game because your boy here it took a little bit too many drinks to the face and I e first half.
Yeah, it was It was a really fun oneto watch.
Dude, Um, unfortunately, that you were able to turn in.
It was tied after the first tied going into halftime, and then Socks came back out of it in the third and came out hot.
And then, you know, Cam Newton does Cam Newton things and put Patriots back in position to be able to compete to get this one.
Eso and the Seahawks planned plenty of chances.
Thio had plenty of chances to, you know, stop them from doing it.
And they just for some reason didn't I know there's multiple, um, instances where they could have put it away, and it just didn't happen just timely placed by the Patriots, whether it be on offense or defense.
But over almost a fantastic game, I loved it.
Um, I must have down on camp, all preseason, all before this, and he just continues to sweet continues to prove me wrong.
And you know what? If that's what it takes to see Cam Newton became doing again, I'm excited to see it.
Russ again had a great day, probably the best backyard football player I've ever seen.
My life threw for five touchdowns tonight, So, um, it was a hell of a game first Sunday night, and I kind of expected that coming in but we've got ourselves a show.
Yeah, and and looking at Camden Stats Stats.
34 44 397 yards.
I mean, he was put in a position where he had to throw the ball and a lot has been made of his accuracy.
Kind of like, you know, the same kind of regard of Josh Island of like, hey, you know, like his inability to kind of hit players in stride.
But he made some nice throws.
Now I did wake up for the fourth quarter, so I did get to watch that, and there were some very impressive throws.
I was very impressed with Bird, who really wasn't a factor last week stepping up in that fourth quarter Julian with a career high 179 yards and kill Harry.
Uh, eight receptions, 72 yards.
I mean, you know, only rushed it 11 times.
Uh, e definitely enough ever starting of Patriots running back ever this year Looks like E.
Yeah, and But I do want to give Cameron is credit.
I mean, he three yards away from a 400 yard game that was impressive against Russell Wilson, who, like you said five touchdowns.
He is on another level.
And that one interception that was for a touchdown was literally Greg Olsen tent hopped out of his hands.
Yeah, so very impressive like this. Just like the third.
Play the game. E.
Don't think you've got a reception after that.
He must have been Russell Wilson's doghouse, but very impressive for the Seahawks.
J as, um sorry, Tyler Lockett, and became really forming a really solid duo for Russell Wilson.
And, you know, that was one of the things to with Russell Wilson.
He didn't have, like, a marquee receiver, and now he's got d K.
He's got Thai Lockett in impressive that he's ableto pass it around.
And he had five separate guys catch touchdowns, which I mean, yeah, just like Connie said.
If if Russell Wilson is in at least in consideration for M v P, is it true? I think I heard that he's never gotten a first place vote that sense that I'm not I'm not 100% sure, but I'm That's the rumor mill, which is shocking based off of what he is able to do on the field.
Oh, look, here comes Connie never got M v p. Poet in general.
And after the first game, this is kind of what I was thinking is that they've always kind of, like, leaned on the run a little bit, just play calling wise, and they kind of let Wilson Wilson save the day in the fourth quarter.
I really hope that play collars allow Russell Wilson to kinda air it out because, I mean, he he deserves to kind of have that opportunity to kind of allow them to kind of just passed without having to run the ball like he's earned that, right.
I mean, last week, that dime to D.
Metcalf in the end zone, where it was literally like a rainbow.
I mean, like, this guy can make every throw.
The fact that he has never gotten an M.
V. P vote is sick.
I'm gonna look at who's gotten M V P votes before, just to see how much of a blast from this situation and this is.
But wow, Yeah, Russell Wilson family ***** here that that would be great to see, especially after never hitting a I mean, yeah.
I mean, last week's last week's game was Chris Carson's toe have two touchdown tons of yards on the ground.
Uh, so to follow it up with Russell Westbrook this week Yeah, uh, you have to follow it up with Russell Westbrook that this week is, uh it should send a message to the league so that hey, we're not playing around.
