What's up, everybody? Welcome to ball is live.
A ball is left Livestream.
I'm Brian s calling Stephen Lee Clark here, and we are brought to you by the crossover media network.
Now what we're doing today, slc you're gonna walk us through week two of the NFL.
You're gonna make some people's a lot of money.
You're gonna make a lot of money for people today.
Um, I would you know, I would definitely be careful about promising that I went 14 last week, but weak one.
You know, everybody knows about week one s.
Oh, yeah, it's It's all good.
I'm feeling good right now.
So this week, let's see here.
Let's check out the lines.
I pulled them up this week.
There's some good stuff going on.
It was a little surprised at the Philly laying 1.
5 over the Rams.
Okay, Now, we definitely saw an approach last week by the Rams that we were not.
We were not expecting.
It was like a very run heavy game.
I think they're like pacing out their offense and they wanna like, you know, that passing game is definitely going to pick up as they go, which was really funny, because the first, like, four plays or something, all went to Robert Woods.
But then they just, like, decided to run also.
I mean, Malcolm Brown, they were right in the hot hand because Malcolm Brown had a good game and they just kept giving the ball.
So this week, I'm going to take the Rams plus 1.
Um, Carson Wentz definitely showed flashes of like, uh, you know, I think it was 2017 like, really ****ing good looking Carson Wentz.
I mean, I personally, dude, he his arm is unbelievable.
Just, like, flick of his wrist.
And it goes ****ing 60 yards or whatever, but he does do things like hold the ball too long.
And who's the last person you want to do that up against Aaron Donald in that rams defensive line.
So I definitely think that the that the Rams are absolutely going to cover with plus 1.
5, Um, another one.
This was tough for me because, um, as we all know, uh, 16 weeks in the regular season in the NFL, teams that go down.
It's something crazy.
It's like they have, like, a 10% chance of making the playoffs if they go on to um so I was a little, like, sketched out by picking this, but also, um, gambling is, you know, 30% for fun.
So when I saw that Dallas was laying down three over Atlanta, I said, You know what? **** it, Dude.
Matt Ryan and those wide receivers for Atlanta looked so good last week.
Uh, Julio, who's like, I think the best receiver in the game had, like, 147 yards.
Obviously had no touchdown because that's Julio Jones in the Falcons thing.
But like Julio had 147 Calvin really looked really ****ing good.
I think Calvin really could be a number one on another team.
And then they had that guy gauge, and there's, like their new water receiver, something gauge.
I can't remember his first name, but he looked really good.
Um, so that team, uh, that offense, I'll say, looks like they're rolling.
And, um, Todd Gurley was looking good last week, so all they need to do is get into the red zone and give Todd Gurley the ball.
So I'm gonna take Atlanta minus three over the Cowboys, or I'm sorry, Atlanta plus three over the Cowboys.
Um, next year, I'm going to ride this team because I really liked how they look.
You know, Josh Allen had a couple like Josh Allen moments, but I ****ing love Josh Allen.
I think that kids winner, um and, you know, if he overthrows a couple people, that's fine.
He's gonna figure it out.
I believe that he's gonna figure it out.
But that mobility and that, like, aggressive nature that he plays the game with, um that is something that you ****ing can't teach.
So I really like Buffalo.
Buffalo is minus 5.
5 over Miami, and it's Miami.
So, yes, I'm gonna take Buffalo Giving 5.5.
Um, I would say that the Ryan Fitzpatrick, like Ryan Fitzpatrick, is the ultimate curveball.
You never ****ing know what he's going to do.
He could throw four touchdowns, five touchdowns or he could throw four interceptions.
But I'm gonna lean towards this really good defense, giving him problems all day, so Yeah, So I'm gonna take Buffalo laying 5.5.
This one is really close to home.
Um, and obviously you all know what I'm going to do with this.
But the way the Raiders offense looked last week, I was really, really encouraged.
Now they did suffer some injuries on that offensive line, but what happened? Josh Jacobs still came in there.
I mean, that injury Trent Brown went down there, right tackle Trent Brown went down three plays into the game.
So then they brought in their secondary right tackle and that full got injured, too.
Um, and then sorry, my cat scratching the **** at some ****.
But after that, they still ran the ball so effectively, because that offensive line is one of the best in the NFL, even if it has, like, you know, one injured player.
So I trust in that offensive line more than anything.
And, yes, the Saints defense is really good.
But we will see if Henry rugs playing.
I think he's going to pull through and play.
He had some limited action in practice yesterday, so I think it's looking good.
And if he does, that's a huge thing because he can like, took up martial on Lattimore.
Um, and and I think that that offensive line on the Raiders will be able to protect their car and make holes for Josh Jacobs.
So do I think they're gonna win? Yeah, sure.
But I definitely think they're going to cover a plus six spread.
So I'm gonna take the Raiders plus six.
Um, the Raiders air known for keeping all these ****ing games close, at least for the past few years.
Andi, I do think it's gonna be a good game.
I think Alan Kamara is gonna go off in the Roomba.
I kind of do too.
But I think Josh Jacobs can keep up with him.
I mean, Alvin Kamara is the best eso besides Josh, Josh Jacobs.
Eso next, uh, two powerhouse quarterbacks that we were talking about earlier before we started streaming Thio quarterbacks that I love quarterbacks in the future.
I love to see what they're doing.
Um, and unfortunately, one of them is shackled by Bill O Brien in his unimaginative ass.
So of course I'm talking about Baltimore in Houston.
Baltimore is giving a huge spread.
They're laying down minus 7.5.
But the thing is, um, we saw what they did in week one.
They look like they're humming on all cylinders.
Lamar Jackson is ****ing rolling, I think.
Yeah, he's so ****ing good.
And he done it just like last year with in week one.
He did it with his arm and so that combined with that running game, they have combined with how ****ing God awful Houston's defense is and their God awful.
Um, I am going to take Baltimore minus 7.5.
Now that seems like a lot.
But if you recall last year, I'm pretty sure it was something like 41 to 7.
Baltimore 1 41 to 7.
There's not much difference on these rosters except for Houston losing ****ing DeAndre Hopkins.
So it's gonna be, um I think it might be a little bit of a bloodbath in there, so we will see how that goes.
But those are my picks for the week and, um, yeah, Mm.
I hate to see it with Shawn Watson because I love him so much.
I think he's a great, great quarterback, and I think he's going to be legendary.
I just think that he needs pieces around him, and it seems like Bill O Brien has just ran that **** into the ground.
So here's my question for you because, like the one I'm watching is Detroit Risk.
Detroit has the longest losing streak in the NFL a 10 games.
It has to end at some point, right? Is there any chance for the upset? I mean, with Matt Stafford, there is always a chance.
But I'm looking here and it says Green Bay is giving 6.5.
I'm gonna be honest.
Like the way Green Bay looks last week.
Um, I might take that because a big one of the big things is, um is Detroit and Matt Stafford does not have their number one wide receiver Kenny Golladay.
Who is the man? Kenny Golladay is a playmaker.
He really gives, uh, Matt Stafford that, like down the field outlet now Marvin Jones Jr is really good, but but, you know, he's Is he a number one receiver? I think he thrives.
Maurin, that number two position where, um, the best corner is taken up by Kenney Holiday so and honestly, the way they The way Green may look last week wherein, and Rogers was ****ing slinging dimes.
Dude, it looked, um it was It was very impressive.
Do I want it to happen? Sure.
I love Matt Stafford.
I'm Matt Suffer truther.
Um, but I don't see it happening this week on.
I think they're losing.
Unfortunately, are you excited for Tom Brady's, uh, debut in Tampa Bay? Or as some people are calling it, Tampa They know.
Oh, it's definitely Tampa Bay.
Wait, Let's see. Let's see.
What are they reporting this morning? He showed up at, like, eight in the morning just to walk the field.
Yeah, I saw that.
I see that the spread is minus 8.
5, and I'm going to say that, um, Carolina's offense did look really good last week.
Now, was that a product of the Raiders defense being very soft? Probably.
But Carolina's offense look good.
Now I'm looking at the spreads minus 8.5.
That seems like a lot.
But as we talked about before, do I think any Tom Brady team is going to go down 02 to start out the season? Probably not.
So I would I would take Tampa Bay in the money line.
But I think I'll take Carolina to cover because that offense looks really effective last week.
You never count out Christian McCaffrey.
He could have ****ing 300 total yards today.
All right, Anything else you're keeping an eye on week two? Um, no.
I think I'm anxious to see how Josh l'm looks again.
That that's pretty much it for me.
I would see I'm looking to see if Indianapolis bounces back because Philip Rivers did have a game.
But he also had, like, Philip Rivers **** where he threw two interceptions.
Andi, I think if Indianapolis configure their **** out there, gonna be a powerhouse.
Another thing is that Minnesota defense looks really bad in Minnesota is always been known for their defense.
Now, they had a lot of turnover in that roster on that defensive roster.
Um, but we'll see.
I'm anxious to see how that defense turns out against Indianapolis, who for all intensive purposes, is a good offense.
So I'm ready to see that.
Dimes look pretty good last week, and I want to see how he how he does against a pretty good Chicago defense.
Um, se kwon had a game where he rushed for, like, four yards or no six yards or something like that.
And like that, I would say, is an outlier.
Um, and I'm ready to see him bounced back in what he does against Chicago.
How do you feel about Russell Wilson saying he's the best quarterback in the league? 1000% agree with him? He's amazing, and he doesn't get.
He doesn't get the respect he deserves, because if you just watch him play, it is absolute perfection at the quarterback position.
He and he's always been like that.
I mean, he's, like, unequivocally like the most fertile NFL in the league, Right? Uh, I mean, that's debatable.
We could go into fertility because I do have a fertility power.
Rincon's and here somewhere.
Um, but, dude Well, Russell Westbrook, I mean, I'm sorry.
Um, Russ has been Russell Wilson has been held back by that, like scheme in Seattle for so long and is, as we see, if you just let him throw, he's going to put up points.
I mean, I I for a long time has thought I have thought that he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Um, absolutely a top three.
And yeah, I mean, well, in a Patrick Mahomes less universe like, yeah, he's the best in the league for sure.
And and and it's worth saying that In an interview this week, Bill Belichick said that he doesn't really see any player better than Russell Russell Wilson in in the entire league.
So that's high praise from someone that doesn't really say **** unless it's about like, subway sandwiches.
They're ****ing Oh, are like Lawrence Taylor.
Wait, Does he have, like, a super opinionated outlook on subway sandwiches? No, He just started doing like he just did a commercial.
That will never does commercial Jews really ****ing weird to see Subway man will get you.
Yeah, they got me and ****.
Anything else? That's it for me. Cool.
