all right, What is going on? Everybody excited to talk some d efs today, some wide receivers and tight ends.
Let's get this, Uh, oh.
We can start going.
Can't believe Week two is already year crazy.
It's not my *****.
Thankfully, I had a good Thursday night game.
I was ableto get off work just in time to watch that Brown's looking looking better.
If anything, I think it says more about how good the Ravens defense is versus you know how bad the Browns offense looked last Sunday.
So that'll be interesting to see one of them.
Or by Week three, we can start really getting a feel on these teams.
And you know what's what? Who's who.
Who is the real deal, who's the Pretenders.
But okay, welcome in everybody.
This is the slate.
A new grid irons rating production coming in talking about D efs.
I was not able to talk in DFS recently were taking call, you know, working surgery.
So been really, really busy.
But I think on Tuesday it was I talk quarterbacks Wednesdays I talked my receivers so hurt talk, running backs.
And so today I'm gonna talk wide receivers and write down a couple of titans that I like.
It's gonna be a real quick episode today, So I thank you all for being with me here today and joining in.
So I'm gonna go over kind of some of the news that's, you know, really pertinent to d efs this week.
Michael Thomas just got downgraded. Toe out.
Chris Godwin is out.
A J. Brown is out.
Kenny Golladay Jamison Crowder.
So a lot of big names, almost.
You know, most of the guys were disappointments.
So, you know, if anything kind of save some cash there, you're able toe.
I think there's gonna be a lot of interesting players that break out this week.
The only of those guys that really had a good game last week was Jamison Crowder, ironically, and then another name to keep an eye on his golden Tate. He is questionable.
He missed last week.
We got that my favorite guy, that Dari Slaten breakout game.
So that's something we need to keep an island to see.
If Golden Tate actually plays this week, I think it'll affect Slaten a little bit.
Nothing too crazy.
We'll talk more about Slaten later so um, if you guys just if you're curious, I'll kind of go over all some people kind of shuffling in.
I talked about quarterbacks on Tuesday.
My favorite for Josh Allen versus Miami.
Uh, Jared Golf against Philadelphia.
I think Jared Golf kind of gets those touchdowns this week.
I think I have a very good game.
Kyler Murray vs Washington on Matt Ryan versus Dallas.
You know, very high scoring games.
I think those guys, they're gonna be medium owns.
So, you know, obviously, deck, you're gonna wanna fire him up out there.
So that's why I kind of like to go the opposite of Matt Ryan there.
He's a little cheaper than deck, Um, and then as faras ah, running backs.
I think you have to fire up Zeke and Henry and every line up you can get in this week.
You know, they're pretty pricey at 82 7900, but they're totally worth it.
I think the matchups are fantastic.
So, um, try to get those guys in there.
I think we have some big weeks out of them.
Much like you know, I thought we were gonna have a big one out of Josh Jacobs like this week, and we certainly did, uh, Erin Jones vs Detroit.
He's getting the targets.
He's getting the opportunity.
It was just an Aaron Rodgers game.
I don't know if he's just back or if this is just kind of like we saw last year, where Aaron Rodgers had like, the best UM, game by quarterback last year was like 45 points.
He was like, top here.
You know he has a He has a breakout games where he kind of surprises everybody.
Jonathan Tailor versus Minnesota and David Montgomery versus the Giants.
Also like Ronald Jones.
A lot vs Carolina, especially with God went out.
They couldn't stop Josh Jacobs last week, and I think Ronald Jones is definitely the guy.
Toe own their Tampa Bay.
Um, so, yeah, let's go ahead and start talking about wide receivers.
I have four guys here that I'm gonna get really in depth about.
These are the guys.
When I do these episodes, these are the guys that I'm locking in tow like 50% of my line up.
50% of my lineups are gonna have some sort of variation of these guys and then I have a couple that I'll Sprinkle in about the high upset because you know what you're going to get from a majority of these players.
So these are the ones that I'm gonna break down the fax for you and kind of give you an idea of why I'm putting these guys in.
So the first one is juju Smith Schuster versus Denver.
He's finally back with a healthy Big Ben, but there's a little more to it and versus in this matchup against Denver that I really want to get into.
He's priced at 6500 as the wide receiver nine.
So I think you're getting good quality right there.
Last week, he had six targets caught all six for 69 yards and two touchdowns.
If you believe in juju and you bought low when you could or you put him in your lineups, you were very happy.
Eso some information age a Bouvier the corner that had to break out with Jacksonville and then where he was with, you know, the Texans and went to Jacksonville and had a down here.
He came over to Denver.
He is put on IR.
So for at least the next three weeks, he's going to miss.
But the biggest thing here is that juju and weak one play 43% of his snaps from the slot, and that was a team high.
So he's back in the slot, where he is very successful.
He succeeded with Big Ben, his rookie and sop****re area sop****re year.
We had the breakout, uh, and the interesting thing is that Corey Davis, who we saw, have a lot of success on Monday night versus Denver.
He had 45 of his snaps from the slot, which was a team high.
And, you know, I have to think there's some correlation there that you know Corey Davis, who has been known to kind of, you know, disappoint fantasy owners and I'll have a break out game every now and then.
But, you know, he saw his targets from the slot and he had a really good game in a J.
Brown, for the most part, still healthy during this point.
Eso you know it pits favored by seven.
It's a 40 a half over under its it's not gonna be a high scoring game, but you have juju back in the slot versus a team that gave up a lot of points to the slot last week.
You know, you're gonna you're gonna have Deontay Johnson and James Washington and Claypool on the outside a zoo, long as you can keep juju in the slot.
And I just think he's happy.
I think him and Big Ben have that real good chemistry at someone who's gonna be targeting.
So I'm really excited about that.
Um, let's go on to my next wide receiver.
It's a Marquis Cooper at 6300, and I think this is gonna be a pretty, almost sneaky plays price at the wide receiver.
I don't know how people feel about his week.
One game he had 10 tart at 14 targets.
10 receptions, Onley, 81 yards.
So he was really mawr underneath.
Riel secure, trying to get those first down passes.
There was a driver he had like 33 targets in a row.
I just think that you know, they paid him the big money.
Dax, looking to get paid.
Put it in your best wide receivers hands and and the best wide receiver is Amari Cooper for how inconsistent he can be and, you know, hurts fantasy owners.
He offers the number one overall upside that you need on a weekly basis for your DFS lineups.
You know, Blake Darwin's on IR The sorry blanked out there, uh, you know, Jared Golf last week against Dallas completed 65% of his passes, I think, you know, and they wanted to run the ball there at the end of the game, so I don't think you're going to see that from from Atlanta.
So I think you know Matt Ryan's gonna tear up that Dallas defense a little bit through the air and we can see a real shootout.
You know, the over under is 53 a half.
I think it's the highest over under of the week.
Dallas is only favored by four, so they're going to have to keep pace with each other.
Um, I think you know when you when you look it from the other side of this, you know, Atlanta defense.
That played against, um, Russell Wilson in the Seattle Seahawks last week.
Russell Wilson completed 31 of 35 passes, and he only took three sacks.
And if you look at the ground game.
They I mean, Chris Carson only saw six carries.
Carlos Hyde saw a and they didn't really need to do anything on the ground.
You know, they were doing whatever they wanted that will.
So while I think Zeke is a really good play this week, you know there is an opportunity where they just have to keep passing the ball because it's a shootout and they could do whatever they want.
The running run stopping defense for Atlanta is better than their past defense, which is non existent at this point.
So I like a market Cooper here.
Next time I talk about his Hollywood Brown.
He was a guy I talked about a lot last week.
He's, you know, kind of everyone's break out.
I think we need Thio.
Continue on with Hollywood as he saw a 26% market share last week.
Only 25 passes from Lamar Jackson.
So but that But as long as you're two guys right Mark Andrews and Hollywood round, or at least getting you know that 20 to 25% target share, that's what you're gonna be happy with and you look at, you know the pluses of this matchup.
Baltimore favored by 7.
5, but it's still a 50 point over under.
He had six targets last year.
Five seconds for 101 yard.
So he's averaging 20.
2 yards per reception.
And if you look at this averaged at the target, it's 19 yards is average depth of target.
So it's the, you know, play action or scrambling out a little bit out of the pocket.
Look for Hollywood ground deep because he's going to be putting those one on one matchups, and you're gonna mostly have single high safety on a lot of his opportunities.
And like we said before, you know you're looking for the guys that have the big blow up breakout opportunity, like in a Marquis Cooper can give you in Hollywood Brown.
You know, I think he can also fly under the radar because while he put up solid numbers at five for one on one, you didn't really do anything, you know, four.
You were to make you say wow, but we saw it last year.
He's fully healthy again.
If you look at what Mahomes was able to do, the Houston.
Last week, he went home Mahomes.
But Lamar is in that same tier of category right now.
We're Lamar just completes passes like That's just what he does now, Whether it's because the defense is focused on the running and they're allowing one on one opportunities, it doesn't matter.
That's just what he's getting.
He completed 24 of 32 passes Mahomes did last week versus the same team on the You know, the opening night of Thursday Night Football.
So I expect a lot from Lamar Jackson and this Ravens offense, and I think Hollywood Brown can hopefully get you.
And I think you can get you that touchdown this week.
I'm gonna talk about, um and I wish he was in the Slates last week because it's my favorite player, probably like in the world.
It's Darius Slaten.
I'm a Broncos fan at heart, but I'm just a big fan of Darius Slay and I have been pushing out articles about him all off season.
Um, if you go to the grid irons rating page and scroll through, I think I put it out right before the season started about various Slaten I just think he is in a phenomenal position for a big play athlete.
You look at what he did.
Week one had nine targets, six receptions, 102 yards and two touchdowns and he was making plays out there.
He was getting those jump balls.
He was beating the corner, you know, down the left side of the field, Daniel Jones was hitting human stride.
If you look at what Daniel Jones did last week last year, I want to break down a little bit of Daniel Jones because toe understand why Darius Leighton is such a phenoms for me.
We have to break down Daniel Jones and what this offense provides.
So last year, Daniel Jones and every game he started had at least 31 attempts and one touchdown.
So that's good, right? We have a we have a baseline.
At least 31 attempts in one passing touchdown.
Last year, he had 40 plus attempts in five games, and he already has one.
He passed 41 times against Pittsburgh on Monday night.
You know there's an opportunity because they're gonna be playing behind ah lot, even against Chicago, which I think David Montgomery is gonna have a good game this week.
They're probably going to be playing from behind.
So you look at 2019.
If you would have, you know, the games that he started, which I think was 11.
If you have pasted out, have been 4300 yards and 35 touchdowns already this year, he's pacing.
I know it's one game small sample size.
Don't leave me for this, but 4400 passing yards and 32 touchdown.
So he's pacing almost what we projected last year and in those games, those last five games where Darius Slay and played at least 80% of the snaps because he got hurt a little bit towards the end and Daniel Jones was on the field.
We saw the breakout nine targets per game.
He was, um he was targeting Darius Laden at a higher rate than Evan Ingram than Golden's hate than Sterling Shepard.
And I know a lot of people wanna be like, Well, you know, they got a hand the ball to say Quan, Well, that's fine.
But if you look at what you know, Barkley have 15 carries in nine targets in this game, so I don't think there's, you know, just because someone's gonna have a good Russian game, the targets can shift one way or another.
I think there's plenty of room for Darius Layton to still be able to feast here.
And if you look at what Dad Prescott was able to do throughout his career and even last year when Jason Garrett was, you know, the head coach.
But offense coordinator seems to be a lot of the same philosophy.
He had 30 plus attempts in 14 games and had 40 plus attempts to seven games.
So they're going to throw the football.
This is just how the NFL is now.
So I think you know, you look at what he was able to do a 26% target share.
Week one, he had nine targets, and this is what you know.
He average in his last five games, and you look at this matchup vs Chicago while they were beaten on the ground, Matthew Stafford was also able to produce through the air.
And so I don't think, you know unless they get the sacks which you know, the Steelers got after Daniel Jones a little bit and got the sacks on him, but he didn't fumble the ball right, like those drive killers of where he fumbles.
It's a second down, you know, a second five and he, you know, get sacked and fumbled the ball.
Those were those were no longer hopefully an issue.
He protected the ball.
If you go back and watch the game, it's two hands on the ball.
When he feels the pressure and he's getting sacked, those drive killers air, hopefully no longer an issue.
And we continue to push the ball down the field of Darius like so, and he's practically at 5000.
I don't know if I mentioned that. You know they're playing Chicago.
I really like the matchup a lot.
There's that crazy stat of anyone in 15 games.
So it's the 14 last year and one this year.
Darius Slay has four games of two touchdowns.
I mean, he either gets two or none, but we're off to a really good start.
I think he's gonna be, you know, used in the offensive a lot more.
Hopefully, he's that Amari Cooper that, you know Jason Garrett sees that he had in Dallas.
That's what I'm really hoping for you know, hopefully for more consistency this year.
Um, and I could go over some of the values real quick.
There's a five guys that I like down here.
That's gonna be pretty good values if you're tryingto, you know, pair with, like a Davante Adams who's you know, the number one wide receiver for good reason this week.
Or, if you really want to get Ju Ju Anna Marie or juju in Hollywood brought in your line ups and the price in the six thousands.
Um, you know Corey Davis is priced at 4000.
I tweeted out this morning.
I was I said, You know, Corey Davis at 4000 feels like the biggest trap in the world.
But I'm still probably gonna you know, I understand what I get with Corey Davis.
I was never Corey Davis truther.
I don't have him in any dynasty leagues.
I have him in, like to my you know, region athletes right now.
Just because he was on the waiver and you need those spots starts every now and then, but A J.
Corey Davis Look, I mean, he profiles is a hyper athlete.
He looked OK, so you know, hopefully you know Henderson. Carlos.
I think Carlos Henderson is his first name.
You know, the rookie that they have.
Hopefully, he doesn't travel with slot because, like I mentioned, Corey Davis played 45 of the snaps in the slot last week.
Eso if he doesn't, you know, Cory Davis could have a decent game.
And, like I said, I'll put him in one or two of my lineups, Uh, kind of see what I got.
There is an opportunity that, you know, Jacksonville is just had a really good week one and they're not who they think they are.
And they let up some opportunities.
Another one I want to talk about here.
Mike Williams is very interesting to me, somebody I might be targeting.
Um, he's more of a definitely a DFS play.
They play Kansas City's price that a really good price of 4200.
He didn't have a great game last week at 69 yards on 44 receptions, but I think that's very telling because he had nine targets.
So you're getting the yardage right over.
I think it's what, like 17 yards per reception or so.
So he's getting the deep targets, and he's getting Mawr targets.
And Keenan Allen, you know, nine targets, I think the Keenan Allen six or seven.
So Tyrod does this.
This is what Tyrod Taylor does While he's not a phenomenal passer.
We saw it in Buffalo with Sammy Watkins.
He's pushing the ball down the field.
Mike Williams is a guy that you know for 4200 at that third wide receiver or flex spot he offers.
You know the upside.
He averaged over 20 yards per reception last year, his rookie year.
He had 10 receiving touchdowns.
If he could just kind of put it all together.
You know, you could be looking at a guy who can average, you know, at least 18 per reception, 10 touchdowns.
And if he can get over 1000 yards like he did last year, you know he's gonna have those games where he blows up so interesting against Kansas City.
Even though Kansas City, I think, is still kind of an underrated defense, that is, you know, going to torture a lot of people this year.
Another one Russell Russell gauge.
I just throw them in there just because I don't want people to think that that wasn't a mirage.
He had it decent games last year.
And if you know, we think Dallas is going toe win and put up points are favored by four, and it's a 53.
Those guys are gonna have to get involved in Russell.
Gauge is one of those guys that can, you know, just he can, because he's the third wide receiver or the fourth.
If you count Hayden Hurst or the fifth.
If you count Todd Gurley, you know he's the guy that's going to get left open.
He's gonna be the, you know, facing the third defensive corner or defensive back in the safety of life.
But he's gonna be the guy that's going to get the opportunities because you have Julio on Cowen, really, who profile as you know, top tier wide receivers.
And then there's just Russell Gauge.
And, of course, you know when he gets 12 targets for nine and 1 14 1 of those can easily go in for a touchdown.
So I like him still this week at 4800, as long as you know they're playing, you know, Subpart defense is which I think Dallas is just a middling defense.
You can continue to put him in period lineups.
Jalen Regular Price at 4100.
Well, the reason I'm mentioning this is the only only only had one reception for 55 yards last year, but had four targets, and he's getting those downfield throws they play.
The Rams should be a decent scoring game.
Jalen Ramsey should be on the Sean Jackson.
I would be very surprised if he shadows or just, you know, Jalen Raker.
But, you know, I definitely expect him to be on, um, Sean Jackson for this game and he gets beat a lot.
So even if Jalen Reagor is getting shadowed by Ramsey, Ramsey gets while he's a good wide receiver.
I think when you start running against while he's a good corner, when you start facing these, you know, elite speedsters at wide receiver he tends to get burned a little bit because he wants to be physical at the line of scrimmage and make plays.
And and sometimes he he stumbles a little bit.
But you know, that's the It's like Marcus Peters.
That's just the price you pay right, either Marcus Peters is gonna pick it off or he's going to, you know, jump the route and miss it.
And then you're letting up a 60 yard touchdown.
So at 4100, still think he's prized.
He seems to be healthy now with another week away.
Last wide receiver.
I just want to mention Scotty Miller 4100.
Hey, had we had a decent, you know, kind of breakout week, had five receptions for 73 yards and on six targets.
Um, with God went out this week.
He's just the next man up to being a ****.
And that's we see how valuable the slot is, you know, from Julian Edelman to what Chris Godwin did last year.
And it is a blend of both of those guys you know is priced at 4100.
So you know, there.
If you wanted to make these lineups where you have Jalen Reagor and Scotty Miller at both 4100, which you know is plausible, you know, you can stack them with guys like Derrick Henry and you know Erin Jones.
You know those two big, highest price running back say Kwan Barkley, you know you can you're able to do that with those opportunities.
Let me get a drink real quick, and we're gonna go over some tight end real quick.
E didn't go over.
I'm gonna kind of talk freely about these tight ends because I just wanted this to be a real quick episode about the wide receivers.
Just very busy week. So I apologize.
I wish I would have put more effort into these tight ends.
Um, Tyler Higbee a 47 100.
I think you're going to see his breakout game.
I think that Philadelphia is going to do well against the run, Which is kind of why I'm avoiding Malcolm Brown and came acres.
And, you know, you can see what they did last year.
Peyton Barber, Antonio Gibson.
They just couldn't get anything going, and you can base it on talent or offensive line.
But while the Rams offensive line is, I think it's just decent, and Malcolm Brown is just a decent running back.
I think we're gonna see a really good game out of Jared golf, where those touchdowns those one and two yard rushing touchdowns from Malcolm Brown could easily turn into, you know, pass catching opportunities for all these guys.
So I'm firing up all my Rams this week against Philadelphia.
Surprised at 4700 Logan Thomas had a good game last week.
I think he had four reception on eight targets and he had the touchdown.
He had 37 yards.
So you know, Logan Thomas is a is a quarterback converted to tight end, but he's pretty athletic, and I think he'd be, you know, profiles well enough to the weakness of this Philadelphia defense that, hey, we can have a very good game.
And also, the biggest thing is, do whatever.
It was, uh, injured.
I forgot to look up to see how he was doing, but there was a chance that he might miss the game.
So, you know, keep an eye on that.
Check out the injury reports tomorrow morning, and, you know, if if it looks like he's gonna miss the game, fire him up, you know, tired of him.
He's a very good time.
You know, we saw what you could do at the end of last year.
As of right now, he's still questionable, so we'll still have to wait and see what his status is Johnny Smith.
You know, if there was my, you know, to my top five guys, it's Terry Slater and Johnny Smith.
I have them everywhere.
A big fan of him. He's priced at 4200.
They're playing Jacksonville.
Last week, he had seven reception or seven targets for receptions, 36 yards and a touchdown.
He got that touch down pretty early.
That's all you really needed from him.
Um, they didn't really need to do anything else against Denver last week.
If you go and look at like his 2019 highlights and there's not a ton of them because I think he's just a sending guy or if you watch the Denver game and he caught that screen, he is like a running back playing tight in.
He looks phenomenal.
He has a very good athletic profile.
He's in an offense that is dictated on the run.
So play action is what benefits him and they're playing Jacksonville.
When you look last week, um, you know Jack Doyle? He was doing fine, but yeah, you know, three catches for 49 yards, so you know there's off before he got injured.
So there's opportunities there for the tight end to make a big playing with A J. Brown out.
I think, you know, if they somehow fall behind the Jacksonville of Gardner, Minshew pulls out the magic.
They're gonna have to throw the ball, and you got to put it into your playmaker's hands. And that's Johnny Smith.
So I like Joni spent a lot O.
J. Howard at 3900.
All these titans air pretty cheap.
You know, these are the guys that your low ball or if you if you go high somewhere else, you know kinda is usually the position that you fade.
Howard versus Carolina offers a lot of upside opportunity, especially with Chris.
God went out Hey, had six targets last week.
So against the New Orleans Saints, and they didn't, you know, they didn't throw the ball like 100 times, you know, they were they were even.
They gave the ball lots of Ronald Jones, so I don't think you know him being the second target, even behind Mike Evans here the third after Scotty Miller, That's how you wanna put in.
Gronk did not look like he was comfortable being in there outside of blocking on if they're gonna run those type two tight end set, that's the guy.
And he is a, you know, super athlete outside.
And he was a red zone threat, obviously, because he's, you know, the third target.
Um, and it's always easier for those tight ends to get those touchdowns when they're coming off the line of scrimmage coming off of a play action block and then going out, which is what you saw last week.
So I'm excited for O. J. Howard.
I have him in a lot of spots I have about Scott Fish Bowl.
I'm like, If you want the confidence of me, I'm firing up.
Um, you know, have have Travis Kelsey and Hayden.
Hurst is a super tight and premium, and then I'm firing up.
Howard is my tide in three, you know? So I think he's going to have a fantastic week.
And then one of the very bottom his Mohali Cox I mentioned Jack Doyle was injured.
You know Jack Doyle have 44 targets, three receptions of 49 yards.
Mohali Cox had two receptions for 20 yards. This is more of a touchdown.
Upside play? Um, he's not like, super fast, but he's very strong and he's a very big guy.
Eso I think you know, he usually the opportunity to have the secure safety belt because he's not gonna be running those big seem rounds.
He's not gonna be running those, you know, corner routes.
He's gonna beam or of, you know, quick turning Hitch.
You know the option tight end plays so he could end up, you know, with with seven targets.
I wouldn't be surprised about that.
We already know that Philip Rivers uses his tight ends in which you know, anything close to the line of scrimmage.
Philip Rivers is gonna dio.
You know, you saw Jonathan Taylor, you know, nine Heinz Paris, Campbell.
They all had good games.
And I think Jack Doyle was well on his way to having at least a decent game when he already had.
You know, his three receptions of 49 yards, you know, it's 7.
9 points already for it.
A tied in that stays in the line of scrimmage.
So thank you guys so much for joining me.
That's that's pretty much it for me.
Maybe I'll hop on tomorrow morning.
There's always a lot of content coming out on Sunday mornings, and I like toe get everything situated so I can watch all the football that I can, but, yeah.
Juju Smith Schuster, Mari Cooper, Hollywood Brown and Darius Latent.
I'm very fine firing them up this week.
Um, hopefully, you guys, you know, enjoy the content.
You know, I appreciate you guys sticking around.
I'm still getting used to all this, You know, we're on the second week of, you know me live streaming.
