00:02:17
ladies and gentlemen, What's going on? It's your boy, Brad.
00:02:20
Back at it again with another broadcast today.
00:02:24
Now, today, guys, we will be talking about the three reasons why LeBron James should have won the 2020 n b.
00:02:32
A.
00:02:33
M v P award over a honest antenna. Campo.
00:02:36
And sure, why not James Harden as well? So we got the news last night or this morning depend on where you live that Yonas has a second N b a M v p.
00:02:47
Back to back and to say the least, I am not a huge fan of Yannis.
00:02:53
I'm not a huge fan of LeBron, but I do really feel bad for LeBron and this because LeBron James has done so much in his career at the time. I'm recording this.
00:03:04
He's 35 years old.
00:03:06
Yana Santana combo is about 2025 26.
00:03:10
And just to hear a 35 year old being a conversation of winning an NBA M V P Award is just crazy.
00:03:20
And what's crazier is you almost beat out somebody who is averaging 30 14 and six a game.
00:03:27
Which is incredible to me now.
00:03:30
With that being said, we'll go ahead and jump into it today.
00:03:34
My first reason why LeBron James should have one n b a M v p over Jonah Santana Coop.
00:03:40
Oh, was he had better advanced an impact statistics than Yanis.
00:03:46
Now, when I say advanced and impact statistics, I do not and I definitely do not mean the points per game, the rebounds per game in the assists per game, we will still talk about.
00:03:57
There's though, um, but I would like to talk to you guys about the argument of being an n b a M v P.
00:04:05
Because it's very messed up.
00:04:07
It's been messed up for a while, and they just haven't come around to fix it or even think about fixing it in the first place.
00:04:16
And I would like to give a big example.
00:04:18
Now, let's just say, out of 100 the argument should be 50 50.
00:04:23
It should be 50% should be from statistics to back up your evidence.
00:04:29
So it's actual evidence that's not faulty or that's not incorrect or fake.
00:04:34
So 50% of your argument maybe a little bit more 60 70% should be statistics.
00:04:40
The other 30% should be you know how they actually played on TV or how they actually impacted the team without stats.
00:04:49
Did they make? Did this guy make it this team better, or did this guy make this team worse? This guy make this team teammates better.
00:04:58
This guy make this teammates worse, you know? So you could take that in consideration.
00:05:02
And I really want to do that with this.
00:05:04
But let's just take a look at an example here because I was just researching a little bit and I came across Russell Westbrook when he won his MVP.
00:05:13
That was when Russ absolutely decimated league.
00:05:17
Had a crazy year statistically.
00:05:19
I mean, he was the best statistic player.
00:05:21
They've been the last 10 years or so guys averaging triple doubles night and night out, and he was absolutely crazy.
00:05:29
Now the result was he won M v P.
00:05:31
Obviously, unanimously, I think maybe, maybe not.
00:05:36
And then in the playoffs and get stumped up 31 and they lose to the Golden State Warriors.
00:05:43
So if that doesn't tell you how much of a regular seasonal word this is, I don't know what will, and it really sucks.
00:05:51
That's a regular season award because even if it is and they have an NBA Finals M V P Award, they should have a playoff MVP as well.
00:06:02
Because no matter how good you did in the playoffs, if you averaged, let's say 40 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and your team loses on Game seven of the NBA Finals on a game winning buzzer beater, they're not going to give you any credit.
00:06:18
Besides, Oh, yeah, that guy played amazing, and I really feel bad for him on TV.
00:06:22
That's the only credit you'll get.
00:06:24
You'll never get a trophy to remember how great off how great your playoffs were.
00:06:30
And I feel like that's gonna be the problem with LeBron James because we've seen this problem happened, you know, every year, maybe not every single year.
00:06:39
But we've seen it happen at least four or five different years where he's been quote unquote, robbed of the M V P.
00:06:46
So we'll look at some regular stats and then we'll go into the advanced stats.
00:06:51
So some regular stats for LeBron James had 25 where let me start the games.
00:06:56
So LeBron played in 67 games.
00:06:58
He had 25.
00:06:59
3 points per game, 7.
00:07:00
8 rebounds per game and 10.
00:07:02
2 assists per game.
00:07:05
He shot 49.
00:07:07
3% from the field and 34.
00:07:08
8% from the three point line.
00:07:11
SPR, which stands for player efficiency rating, was a solid 25.
00:07:16
5 and the standard is 15.
00:07:19
So, overall, that stat line looks amazing and you know you could easily when n b A M v p with the kind of numbers I mean 25 8 and 10.
00:07:31
It's pretty solid going to lie, especially on a team where you're still relatively new to the system.
00:07:37
It's a new coach and Frank Vogel, and you're getting a bunch of new players onto the team like Anthony Davis, UH, Dion.
00:07:45
Waiters J. R. Smith.
00:07:47
They're JaVale McGee, Danny Green.
00:07:49
There were a lot of new players on this team that LeBron has never played with in his life, So, you know, I feel like you got to give Liberal more credit than he actually has gotten.
00:08:00
But for you honest stat line.
00:08:02
He played In 63 games, he averaged 29.
00:08:05
5 points per game, 13.
00:08:07
6 rebounds per game, 5.
00:08:09
6 assists per game.
00:08:12
He also shot 56 or 55.
00:08:14
6% from the field and 30.
00:08:17
4% from three.
00:08:20
And it's player efficiency rating was 31.9.
00:08:26
Those were really good numbers.
00:08:28
Absolutely crazy.
00:08:30
Um Yanis.
00:08:32
I mean, you could possibly get more credit than he actually deserves, depending on which way you look at the situation.
00:08:40
Yeah.
00:08:41
I mean, it's crazy.
00:08:42
The average 30 points a game, even with a bad stat line throughout the rest.
00:08:46
I mean, you'll still get a lot of credit for that.
00:08:48
Be honest.
00:08:49
Average 30 14 and six.
00:08:53
And he shot pretty good from the field.
00:08:55
55% is pretty solid.
00:08:58
Obviously shooting downtown is not great, 30%.
00:09:01
But he can obviously improve that.
00:09:03
He's a big man, so I have no doubts in that.
00:09:06
Those were the stats. Those were the regular.
00:09:08
Any bitty stats that everybody knows, obviously we can see with this.
00:09:13
Yanis had ah better stat line.
00:09:16
He didn't have such a way better Stat line.
00:09:18
I mean, he only averaged four point s'more uh, six rebounds Mawr and he actually had like, four assists.
00:09:26
Lesson LeBron, which we'll get into in a little bit.
00:09:29
LeBron was an absolute freak, assisting the ball or passing the ball. This year.
00:09:35
He was absolutely crazy killing it.
00:09:37
Now I'll take a look at to impact slash advanced stats that we must look at, or at least one and then explaining another one.
00:09:47
So the first one is on the floor points per game, so we'll start with LeBron.
00:09:53
So while LeBron was on the floor, the Lakers are plus 11 per 100 possessions.
00:10:00
While LeBron was off the floor, the Lakers were point where, plus 0.
00:10:05
0.
00:10:07
1 which was an increased by 11 points per 100 possessions.
00:10:10
So, basically, while LeBron James on the floor, the Lakers do amazing.
00:10:15
While LeBron is off and sitting on the bench, they're basically mediocre.
00:10:21
Um, 0.
00:10:23
1 is not great per 100 possessions.
00:10:27
That's not great, even with Anthony Davis, even with a bunch of these young stars on this team.
00:10:33
Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green.
00:10:35
I know JaVale McGee isn't young by any means, but they have a lot of stars on this team.
00:10:40
So that's how much of an impact LeBron James has.
00:10:44
Even the stats can prove that.
00:10:46
As for Yannis, the Bucks were plus 16 per 100 possessions when he was on the floor.
00:10:52
While the while Yannis was off the floor.
00:10:55
The Bucks were plus five, so it was also an increased by 11.
00:10:59
But we can already see when Yanis sits.
00:11:01
The Bucks are still good.
00:11:03
There's still a plus five with Chris Milton as your best guy on the floor.
00:11:07
When LeBron sets and ideas are best guy on the floor, I struggle even if it's not like negative four points per 100 possessions, which is really bad.
00:11:19
It's right around zero to negative one.
00:11:21
And that's not where you want to be as a team that can compete for the N B A Finals.
00:11:26
And that is at the moment against the Denver Nuggets.
00:11:29
So it's really it's a problem.
00:11:33
It's a problem for Yannis, in fact, because this really glorifies the argument of why LeBron should have won M v p.
00:11:41
Even the stats show that LeBron is, um, or valuable player to his team than Yanis is, and it also shows that Yannis is team can win, not necessarily in the playoffs.
00:11:54
without him.
00:11:55
Meanwhile, when LeBron is not playing, the Lakers really struggle and they need him.
00:12:01
Um, this one thing before we get to our second argument, LeBron was actually the best passing player in the entire league.
00:12:08
Was better than Chris Paul.
00:12:09
Better than Trey Young.
00:12:11
Better than whoever else you can think of.
00:12:13
Ricky Rubio is a great passer.
00:12:16
LeBron was the best guy out of everybody.
00:12:19
LeBron had 26.
00:12:20
5 assists, points creative per game, so that means off of his passes to another teammate or assist.
00:12:27
That's how many points were created per game.
00:12:29
That's 26 really solid.
00:12:31
That's really good.
00:12:33
As for your honesty, at 15.
00:12:34
4 assists, points created per game.
00:12:37
Once again, the stats don't and they shouldn't tell the entire story.
00:12:42
But obviously, we can see that Yannis dominates pretty simple stats, as you're seeing on the bottom of the wind share player efficiency rating points per game rebounds per game.
00:12:53
Yanis dominates all of that.
00:12:56
But what LeBron dominates is some of the Mawr telling stats such as, you know, points per 100 possessions when he's on the floor or off the floor, and then, as well with the assist points, create a pre game.
00:13:10
So that's my first argument.
00:13:13
You know, LeBron did have better advanced and impact stats that actually glorified his game vs Yanis having a Russell Westbrook type stat line.
00:13:23
So with that being said, that was our first argument.
00:13:27
Our second argument is we really do need to define what M V P means most valuable to their team or to the league, depending on how you look at it.
00:13:36
So Wikipedia's definition of an M V P is an honor typically bestowed upon an individual as the most performing player or players in an entire league for a particular competition or on a specific team.
00:13:51
In many sports.
00:13:52
M V P awards were presented for specific match in other words, a player of the match award or in the season.
00:13:59
So obviously, that kind of sums up what everybody has been saying.
00:14:03
It is.
00:14:04
It's the best player in the league, and it's not.
00:14:06
It's not the best player in league.
00:14:08
It's the most valuable player in the league.
00:14:11
If we're going off of the best player in the league, then Yana should go back to back in most in the best player of Lee.
00:14:21
I tried to spell that out of my head.
00:14:23
It didn't work.
00:14:24
But Yanis has been the best player in the league for the last year to now.
00:14:30
Now he has been the most valuable because, like we said and the last reason we could look at the, um, player efficiency ratings, yes, we can understand that Yannis dominates that.
00:14:41
We can understand.
00:14:42
Yanis dominates everything.
00:14:44
Accept the fact that per 100 possessions while they're on or off the floor, that really glorifies.
00:14:52
Like here's LeBron and how little the Bucks really need Yanis.
00:14:57
Um, I think the M V P is the most valuable player in the league or the most valuable player on the team for the Bucks.
00:15:08
It's Yanis for the Warriors and Stefan Curry.
00:15:11
For the Sons, it's Devin Booker.
00:15:14
And for the Lakers, it's LeBron James.
00:15:16
You know, those were just an example off team envy.
00:15:20
Now we have to take all of those team MVPs and we have to really think about which one is the league M V p and many people, said Yannis.
00:15:30
And that's why we're in this video today, discussing why he shouldn't have been.
00:15:35
And what makes this argument even worse is the fact that but a regular season award and it's not a playoff award.
00:15:44
It was a playoff award.
00:15:47
LeBron James had definitely won this.
00:15:49
I mean, he should have won, even if it's a regular season one.
00:15:52
But if you're giving the M V P Award to somebody who couldn't carry his team past the second round against the Miami Heat, and you don't even get it to six or seven games, you losing five games and it really would have been a sweep without Chris Middleton doing his thing for look, Yanis just under the big pressure.
00:16:17
When was the last time LeBron James cracked under the big pressure? I can't remember.
00:16:21
He could have cracked in that 31 lead that Golden State had over him.
00:16:25
Yet he came all the way back all the way back toe win for Cleveland and to get them their first NBA Finals championship banner.
00:16:34
Help, um, hung in the stadium.
00:16:38
Why, I couldn't say that.
00:16:40
But with that with the Miami Heat and yes, I understand he Hey, he had help.
00:16:44
He had help in the form of Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in Miami.
00:16:48
But that doesn't that doesn't mean anything, especially when LeBron has helped.
00:16:54
Now, in the form of Anthony Davis, players can't win by themselves.
00:17:00
They can't.
00:17:01
They're just not good enough to be five other people.
00:17:04
They can't.
00:17:05
We've seen that.
00:17:06
We've seen that with LeBron.
00:17:07
We've seen it with Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
00:17:10
So I'm not saying that Yannis needing help is going to not make him an M v p.
00:17:16
But when you can't win a second round matchup.
00:17:21
When you said that you had enough help and that we all believed you did really not an M V P.
00:17:27
You're really MVPs don't get eliminated in the second round.
00:17:33
They just don't unless with a major injury, happened to them or to their team.
00:17:38
And it just wiped their depth or whatever.
00:17:42
I don't know, I really don't know.
00:17:43
It's kind of a wacky argument.
00:17:45
The second one is, but we really have to define it.
00:17:49
If you're defining it as the best player in the league, then it's the honest.
00:17:52
It might be honest every year for the next eight years, but if you're defining it as the most valuable player to their team or to the their league, and it's LeBron.
00:18:02
It's LeBron.
00:18:03
I really don't know what else to say with that.
00:18:06
But finally, for our third and final argument, it's not really necessarily an argument.
00:18:14
But it's talking about LeBron as the washed up king who many people were calling him reports and articles.
00:18:21
I saw a lot.
00:18:22
I just typed this end and a bunch of stuff popped up, and it was like, Why would you even call them that, right? First of all, that's disrespectful to the guy who's played 17 seasons in the N B A.
00:18:33
And he's dominated on multiple teams.
00:18:37
When you, I mean, you know, put yourself in their shoes kind of thing.
00:18:42
Eso with this entering 2020.
00:18:45
It was the 17th season LeBron's 35 years old, and many thought that this would be the end for the king.
00:18:52
LeBron was also coming off of his worst injury in his entire career.
00:18:57
That was what sidelined him for maybe the bulk of the entire year as his first season as a Laker, and there were many young superstars coming up in the league this year.
00:19:09
We could see Luca Dotage, Trae Young, Jayson Tatum, John Durant, Devin Booker.
00:19:15
And I'm sure there's plenty of others that you could name is, well, Zion Williamson.
00:19:19
I know you're saying that, but we haven't seen a lot of him yet.
00:19:24
And despite all of this, you also have, you know? Well, I forgot the word.
00:19:32
You have other players that are teaming up to form super teams or to form really good teams that are already superstars such as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and L.
00:19:43
A.
00:19:44
Who many thought, including myself, that they would be the 2020 MBA champions.
00:19:49
Looks like that's not gonna happen.
00:19:51
And then also in Brooklyn with K D and Kyrie and with the Nets.
00:19:56
I mean, they could be the N B A Finals champions next season and then with the Miami Heat Band out of Bio and Jimmy Butler, and they have a ton of young talent on that team.
00:20:07
Despite all of this, LeBron was once again doubted his ability to lead a team was doubted once again.
00:20:15
And I guess that that washed up King narrative.
00:20:18
It's just completely gone.
00:20:20
I really hope it is because LeBron James took a 37 wind team from last season and made them into a one seed contending for the Western Conference finals Right now, as they're facing off against the Denver Nuggets and they could possibly punch their ticket to the N B A Finals, where they would either face the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat.
00:20:45
So after all that guys, you know, it's it's, ah harder argument to make for sure that LeBron James should have won M v p.
00:20:56
I really think he should have look no disrespect to Yana Santana champ.
00:21:00
Oh, I think that guy is great.
00:21:02
I love him.
00:21:03
He's a great player.
00:21:05
He needs all the respect that he can earn right now, as he has just been absolutely incredible.
00:21:11
Toe watch.
00:21:12
An incredible to just witness.
00:21:15
But we really have to take in consideration that he may have not deserved this as much as LeBron James did, or vice versa.
00:21:24
LeBron James had himself maybe not a career year, but he had himself one of his best statistical seasons in his career, and he also had one of his best seasons as a team leader out of position.
00:21:38
I totally and didn't even mention that This was his first year playing point guard and averages 10 assists a game, drops 25 points a game around six or seven rebounds per game and barely makes it into the nominees for the M V P Award, which is crazy to me.
00:21:59
But it is what it is.
00:22:02
I don't think the amount of M V P votes that he got was enough.
00:22:05
I think it should have been pretty close that they weren't going to give it to him in general.
00:22:10

ladies and gentlemen, What's going on?
00:22:10
But with that being said, guys, thank you all so much for watching us always tell me down in the comments below.
00:22:17
If you think that LeBron James should have won M V p or do you think they should? They made the right decision by giving it to you.
00:22:24
Honest or a heck, talk about James Harden if you want.
00:22:27
I really don't care.
00:22:29
But with that being said, guys, thank you all so much for watching is always make sure to keep God number one guys and peace out.
