dear Pats Nature What's going on? It's your boy, Ray, and welcome to my little show here on D P n.
I'm coming to here live on sportscaster and simulcasting on YouTube.
You confined here on sportscaster every Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m.
I'm also here for premium post games.
I'll be doing a pre game before the Patriots.
This is a stream and a YouTube channel.
Four Patriot fans by a Patriot fan.
Here's the lineup for today.
Every watching on YouTube.
I'm gonna be talking about the Patriots and versus the hot take media and the hot take doubters and Brady haters and Patriot haters out there.
Everybody that's going to come over to sportscaster stick around on sportscaster.
I'm gonna give it a little bit of an update that Harry injury also an update on the Damian Harris injury that we some of you may not a note about.
I'm also gonna talk about Philip Door sat despite getting injured himself today and how he's a roster lock for this team before I get really into the meat of when I talk about today.
Just a little quick update as they said Philip door set injured his some today, going out making a really great diving catch from Tom Brady.
The good news is this.
Wide receivers can usually play through thumb injuries, and that's what he heard was his thumb just like Juliet Oven's broken thumb.
If this was, you know, Week seven, Week eight, both those guys would be on the field.
But you know, at this point of the season, there's no point of Russian it not being cautious with it.
Ah, Maurice Harris also left practice injured.
I don't know at this moment what he did, maybe you guys do.
But he was seen on the sidelines with his cleats off taking a knee.
Ah, he didn't return the practice after being attended to by the medical staff.
And I don't know if you guys saw this. You probably have.
But Danny at Lean was actually claimed today by the Atlanta Falcons.
And just like yesterday, when I announced the news that Danny at Lean had been released, your life will remain exactly the same.
Um, so hey, guys, do you remember last season when the Patriots lost to the Tennessee Titans on November 11th? Do you remember that and number After the game, former Patriots running back Dion Lewis had this say when he said, Hell, yeah, it's personal.
That's what happens when you go cheap.
You get your ass kicked.
I remember that.
I always remember his little, Ah little tweet after the game.
Somebody forgot to remind D on that.
I guess he's been away from the Patriots for too long that you don't win the Super Bowl in November.
And after not making the playoffs with the Titans and he was at home watching the Patriots win the Super Bowl, he's now backtracking from his comments.
Here's what he had to say today.
When he was asked about it, he said, Quote, I'm just happy I'm here trying to get better going against the Super Bowl winning team.
The only thing we can do is come out here every day and just try to get better, and I'm just blessed to have the opportunity to go against these guys in practice.
It'll definitely help us going into this season.
I still love those guys.
It's fun seeing those guys today.
It still feels like I'm there.
The relationships that I built with those guys has been great.
I love everyone on that team. End quote.
Well, you know what, Dion, You aren't there anymore.
You're not a part of Pats Nation.
You left Pats Nation in the worst way any player could leave.
And the reason you're not talking smack is because How can you talk smack to the champs? And also, you have to acknowledge that the Patriots upgraded their running backs after you left.
So Dion Lewis, please enjoy your time practicing with the Super Bowl champions.
Who did it on the cheap, I guess.
I just don't like when guys leave like the way he laughed.
And the hell with Dion Lewis.
I'm so speaking the hell of people.
Let's talk boat, all them media folk who come out and talk about the New England Patriots and try to take the hot takes and use Tom Brady's name to try to make a name for themselves.
Also, don't forget anytime you're tweeting about any of those idiots, especially a guy like Rob Parker.
Please use the hashtag inconsistent Rob Parker.
It's driving him crazy, and I want to see it trending.
If you haven't seen the clip yet.
Parker was making another terrible Brady take, and he was talking about all of Brady.
Brady starts going down, and Eric Mangini owns Parker starts the hashtag and consistent Rob Parker.
It finished with the greatest one liner and hot take journalism, which was, You know, what's going up? Another Super Bowl banner and that exchange yesterday was actually the motivation and for my topic today and was also another article I read, um, on, you know, hot.
It's it's called on the Patriot and Hot.
It's by Alex Chain on Pat's pulpit.
If you haven't even ready yet, I suggest it'll read it.
It's a bit of a laundry.
That's a really good article, and it breaks down.
Why we hate and love.
The ridiculous Patriots takes that people have so like if we look at things like the Max Kellerman cliff right, that's, ah, normal one for us.
Um, and we all claim to hate Max Kellerman.
Everybody and pats Nation despises Max column, and that's what we claim.
And you probably do, um, his cliff take from 2016 when he said that Tom Brady was gonna be a bomb.
In short, order has aged horribly.
The Patriots have been to three Super Bowls and won two of them since he's talked about it even to this day, he still argues that Brady's on the decline.
He gave Bill Bala check all the credit for the F C championship game in the Super Bowl, and we hate that Cliff take so much that as a group, we never stop talking about it.
That's all I ever see on Twitter is the Max Kellerman Cliff and I'm just as guilty.
But I talked about the cliff on a daily basis leading up to the Super Bowl.
I did a video into the Haters Guide for the L.
Rams because, you know, they had fans for, like, six months.
So I had to teach someone how to hate in the NFL because as Patriot fans, we love being hated.
And we should love being hated because that means the Patriots are relevant.
Let me tell you what Shane wrote his article here, and it made a lot of sense to me, he said, quote, You may say that you hate it, and it takes away from your enjoyment of the game, You may listen to Max Kellerman make the cliff prediction for the fourth year in a row now and wonder to yourself how the hell that guy's still employed.
You may be able to put it together.
An entire coffee table book of Internet comments and tweets and posts using stats and factor.
This proved the latest Brady is a system quarterback dribble.
Ah, but how many of those same people those hot take haters can't get to their computer fast enough on the heels of the Patriots win or deep playoff run? Just to watch these guys squirm to hear them try and spin their way out of it? How sweet is it? Watch Kellerman have to eat another Patriot Super Bowl victory? Or watch Rob Parker resort to the fact that Tommy be didn't win the Super Bowl M V P as the only evidence of Brady's decline.
Now you can lie to yourself and say that you didn't watch any of that if you want, but you all did, and you all loved it and you all know it.
Maybe you even left a comment somewhere, hating Rob Parker as he failed to spectacularly backtrack.
I loved it because it basically summed up my life because I have a hate affair with Rob Parker.
Okay, that's what I call it. I call it a hate affair.
He's not a guy I love to hate.
I have a hate affair with Rob Parker, and I took great pride last year when Rob Parker blocked me on Twitter because I made a comment that Rob Parker used to with no I made a common said that Rob Parker was a failed journalist who now plays one on TV, and he blocked me and it.
I was so proud of that block.
And then it drove me crazy that he blocked me because when the Patriots beat the Chiefs in the A F C championship game, all I wanted to do was tweet it.
Rob Parker and ask him when he's moving to Mexico and I couldn't I had to create a burner account, just the talk crap to Rob Parker, and he blocked me on that one, too.
And I just didn't have it in me to make 1/3 burner account just so I could talk to Rob Parker right as Patriot fans, men, we feed off the hate the same way the Patriots feed off that hate.
How many times this year have we heard the Parkers? No way, no how statement that he made back in 2000 and 11.
How happy we were.
We when we saw Kyle Van Noy as he on a live broadcast was taking shots at Max Kellerman, and all Kellerman could do was keep uncomfortably laughing as Carl Van Noy kept throwing his words back in his face.
We loved it because the Rob Parker's the Shannon Sharpe's and the Max Kellerman's of the world as Patriot fans, they fuel us.
Alex Shame summed up Rob Parker beautifully.
I thought it was beautifully written, he said. Quote.
Rob Parker has been adamantly insisting that the Patriots won't be heading to another Super Bowl, and Brady is done for the better part of 10 years.
That man simply refuses to give Brady any credit for anything, no matter what Tommy be does.
And he never hesitates to bring up a cheating scandal scandal when given the opportunity at this point, God himself could come down from heaven until Rob Parker that the Patriots never cheated and that Tom Brady is the greatest ever, and he'd accused God of looking into the through.
You're looking at the NFL through rose colored glasses.
Rob Rob Parker is the kind of reporter who makes a decision and sticks to it.
Regardless of what his I show him.
He'll adamantly insist that it's not going to rain tomorrow.
Is it going to rain? No way, no how.
And then he comes into work the next day, soaking wet in the middle of a downpour, and he'll try to spin it, accusing everyone else of being a prisoner of the moment and feeling to see that it's actually a thunderstorm, not rain.
And he was totally right in his prediction.
I love it because it's so true.
Guys, sports sports is entertainment, Okay, it's intended sports His intention.
Intention is professional sports is for us as fans of the games of the teams of the players.
Whatever it may be, it's to experience different emotions, just like the Patriots are the villains of the NFL.
Because people hate us.
Don't get me wrong unless you're in New England. Patriot fan.
Some of them might respect us, but they hate us.
Just like the Patriots are the villains of the NFL.
Parker, Kellerman and Sharp are the villains of the New England Patriots.
It's all part of the entertainment.
That's why when I'm on here, I never quote characters.
You never hear me quoting Rob Parker.
Max Kellerman is Shannon Sharpe, because I don't take what they say. Serious.
I quote Riel journalists, but that's why you guys come on here.
You don't come and watch me for my expert Patriots knowledge because God knows most of you are probably smarter than me.
I'm a character.
Even though I'm me, I'm a character.
I'm Ah, Homer, that's gonna come out and I'm gonna pump up the Patriots.
Kiss the rings is one of the best smack talkers from all the football fan base is out there, but it's it's all about entertainment.
Him and I have talked about it.
It's all about entertaining people.
We represent Pats Nation.
I somehow dumb Lee fault, you know, fell upon a a platform and you guys follow me and I love and I appreciate you for that and I try to be as accurate as I possibly can. Absolutely.
I'm not gonna come out here and give boldface lies and make things up.
And, you know, if Tom Brady throws the interception, say you guys saw it wrong was actually touched down, But I'm always gonna be Ah, Homer, I'm always gonna try to find the bastard the Patriots, I indirectly, cause they couldn't look me in the eye and do, But I indirectly got called out by somebody you guys probably know as being too positive and too optimistic.
And if you know, basically, if you know if you want, if you want fluff pieces and come to my channel.
But, you know, people don't knock Luke Skywalker.
People don't knock Batman.
Why am I gonna knock the New England Patriots? Enough people knock the New England Patriots.
Enough media people, fans, Twitter birds, Whatever the hell you want to call them, they come here in their hateful towards New England Patriots.
So why would I take that route? Because of the end of the day, the Patriots are the easiest targets in the world Pats nation.
We need to have fun with it when you win a lot or your really good or you're always in the conversation or you're always going to championships.
People are going to hate you.
Just ask LeBron James or Kobe Bryant or Golden State or the City of Boston.
People hate because of envy.
As most of you know, I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Toronto Raptors one The N B.
A championship This year.
That was our first championship since 1993.
Not just championship victory, the first time we even went to a championship since 1993.
How envy is people in Toronto are of the city of Boston and how deep the respect runs here for the city of Boston.
And there's nothing wrong with hating the city that wins all the time.
There are people young children in Boston who think it's their birthright to watch a Boston team in the finals year in and year out.
And there's nothing wrong with that because you're the Boston Sports franchises have allowed them tow, have that attitude.
That's why I don't argue with trolls now because we're out there.
The Patriots have become enemy number one for Chiefs fans, and they're constantly throwing out the bait, and we constantly keep biting.
It to keep hooking pats Nation in.
I'm just ignoring it.
I'm just waiting my time.
I'm remembering every tweet I'm seeing, but I'm just waiting my time and I'm just smiling and shrugged my shoulders because calm the A f C championship, we know what the results are gonna be.
There's a reason that I have a petition that the A F C championship should be called the Tom Brady Invitational, so we'll get the last laugh.
Just like the sixth ring was the last laugh for us.
And, you know, the Jags were going to dethrone the pages from the A F C.
Philadelphia ended the Patriots dynasty.
The chief's kingdom was sending out invitations to Tom Brady's retirement party.
What happened there? I'm gonna be worried when people stop talking about the New England Patriots, because when people stop talking about the Patriots when they stop trashing them when they stop coming up with these ridiculous arguments, that's going to mean that the Patriots stranglehold on the A F C is gone.
That probably means that Tom Brady has long retired.
Yeah, A few people out there who have got a disdain for the Patriots have grown a disdain for the Patriots.
They're gonna try toe rub salt in the wound.
But all we can do is look at the last 20 years and smile, Pats nation this run that the Patriots are on, whether you want to call it an entire dynasty.
I don't care how you define it.
We're never going to see it again.
I was 13 years old turning 14 that summer, the year Tom Brady was drafted into the NFL.
I had my heart broken a few years past when Brett Farve beat the Patriots.
My heart shattered the pieces when Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury and our six round draft pick was taking hope for a quarterback.
And I know the Michigan fans knew what they were getting.
But let's face it, Patriots Nation wasn't sitting there at that time the day Tom Brady came in and said, That's the kid that's gonna be the goat That just wasn't the That's not the reality of it.
And now here I am, at 33 years old, I'll be 33 years old this coming Monday, and I'm still watching Tom Brady and Bill Belichick win championships.
We need to stop arguing logic with the trolls because they don't care everybody and I need it.
Everybody wants the New England Patriots to fail, but we need to do is enjoy it when they don't don't hate the haters.
Don't let them get under your skin.
Just embrace it because it's just gonna make them hate even more.
And really, how special is that? And Shane really summarizes what I'm saying perfectly, and it's a It's a long quote, but I think it's perfect.
It says quote, If you really don't like it, don't engage.
It's really that simple, and nothing will make these guys go away faster than being completely ignored for some of you.
Okay, a lot of you that's gonna be a Herculean task.
To see someone chirping at the Patriots of Tom Brady and not respond will be your version of keeping a straight face.
As your emperor talks about his best friend.
You hear someone who hates on the patriots, and you just have to clap back.
Keeping your mouth shut gets you all twitchy and your blood pressure goes through the roof.
So if you can't resist and fair enough, but just know that Every time you do that, you give the very people that hate a massive win.
They're just dunking all over you, setting up shop in your brain and stuffing you right into a locker every time you engage in some way.
Even if that engagement completely dismantles their argument and makes them look foolish, do you honestly think any of them care about getting taken down on Twitter? How do you think that they even read their mentions? Of course they don't.
They just say what they're going to say.
Person purchased some oceanfront real estate in your head and sit back and enjoy their career boost as you stew and make their lives very easy.
So this stuff really gets to you.
Well, first, I'd kindly invite you to take a long, hard look at your life and priorities if you let some talking when you're fast six time world champions.
But if it does really get more people that will realize that per perhaps that last, the anti Patriot well has run dry and they'll move on to the next because it won't be long before Patrick Mahomes is an overrated system quarterback doing Jared Goff rapidly closing window.
And when I see do we're all gonna look back very, very fondly on the day's game was so good that the ideal gas law was national news for seven straight months.
Like I said, it's a fantastic article.
I only gave you little tidbits of it. Go read the whole thing.
It's just to go again.
It's called On the Patriots and Hot Take journalism.
It's by Alex Shane on Pat's pulpit.
It's such a great read.
Ah, and for those of you on YouTube, I hope you enjoyed what I was talking about tonight.
But this is where I have to say goodbye.
Ah, here's what I'm gonna be talking about on sportscaster going forward so you can come over here and see me here.
I'm still gonna be talking about the new kill Harry and Damian Harris.
I'm going to be talking about why Philip Door set is a lost ah lost her a roster lock.
Ah, so please click the link in the description.
It will take you over to my profile.
You can click on my life video if you can't come watch it now you can watch the replay later.
I got to take off.
Come forcing me on sportscaster.
Take care, CIA and I'm off YouTube by my stats.
It doesn't look like many people are interested in my little rant there, but it is what it is.
You know what's going on. Thanks. Coming.
All right, guys.
So let me give you a little injury update here.
Harry, obviously, we know it has been practicing.
I'm just gonna read to you what ah Henry McKenna wrote today, He said a New England Patriot receiver, Nikkila Harry, missed his second practice on Tuesday with an injury after leaving the team's first preseason game.
Series issue is very minor, According to the Boston Globe's Chris Price, Harry has been dealing with a minor problem heading into the Patriots preseason game against the Detroit Lions last Thursday while making a second catch on his third snap of the game here, he seemed to get rolled up with Fender and came up limping.
He tried to line up the following play, but the Patriots ushered him off the field.
He finished the game with two catches for 36 yards on three snaps.
So I don't think we should expect him to be doing anything in Tennessee if he's even in Tennessee right now, Um, he definitely won't practice.
He definitely won't play at this point of the season.
I see no reason to bring the keel Harry back, Um, and then occurred, according to Ah, burnt Buckmaster of Pat's pulpit.
Here's what he had to say about Damian Hairs because I didn't even know Harris was injured until today, he said.
According to the Athletics, Jeff, how the 87th overall selection of this year's draft is dealing with a hand slashed wrist injury.
The issue, however, is considered to be a minor and to be minor and shouldn't therefore not affect the Alabama's product.
Ah, long term availability is adept option for the Patriots offense.
Harris is still participated in practice despite the ailment, but no longer seem the same number of raps he did earlier Drink camp, of course, the reemergence of Sony Michelle, who also might have played a role in that with Michelle looking so good as the lead back despite missing most of the off season after undergoing a minor knee procedure, it appears as if Harris is roll.
A CZ primary that is primarily that of depth is an emergency player at this point. End quote.
I disagree with Black master there, and I don't disagree often with him.
Him and I used on the same page, but I don't believe that, um, Damian Harris is just gonna be there for emergency.
I believe the patrons were taking it easy on him out there, given Sony Michelle the reps he needs after being injured, and two of them will be playing um together and taking a lot of joint snaps this year.
I've already talked about that.
The deaths on We'll talk about it now.
Um, okay, So before I get on with talking about Philip Door Sat, I want us to go out and support some hardcore Patriot fans.
So everybody in the New England area, please come support RTW media and the spiking during the tattoo party.
He'll be joined by Fitzy and the Patriots Silver Bullet on August 22nd at six strings before the game.
The party starts at 3:30 p.
And they will be there for the duration of the preseason game against the Panthers go see the unveiling of the Super Bowl 54 Tattoo.
Remember, It's not a prediction.
So the spiking got a tattoo last year of Saint of Super Bowl 53 champions prior to the season starting.
He's making the same spoiler prediction this year and get it revealing his Super Bowl 54 tattoo, predicting that the Patriots will win their second straight Super Bowl.
So anybody in that area, please go check it out.
All right, so I've made this prediction a lot about Philip Doorstep being a roster lock.
But I've never really given you my argument.
So my opinion is that not every receiver can play wide receiver for the Patriots.
We've seen that multiple times, but Phillip Dorsett can, and this is gonna be his third season with the Pats.
He's the second most experienced wide receiver on the team, and I completely understand that his stats are not Hall of Fame worthy.
In 2017 he made 12 catches for 194 yards and 2018.
He made 32 catches for 290 yards and three touchdowns.
Now his playoff starts in 2018 looked a lot better with his five catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns before the playoffs.
Last year I talked about Philip Thor set, and I predicted that he would be a secret weapon for the New England Patriots.
And the truth be told, is he really came through when the Patriots really needed him and he doesn't get a lot of opportunity with the Patriots.
We know that, but when he does, he deliver.
Here's what Tom Brady I had to see about Philip Door set, he said, quote.
Whenever he's been called upon, he comes in and he makes plays.
Whenever the ball is in his hands, he's dangerous.
He gets hey, gets running with the ball.
He's really is a really Chris Route runner.
He can play all the positions and just so impressed with how he's handled everything this year.
I really love playing with Phil.
He's done a great job for us. End quote.
The Patriots system for wide receiver is so complex X, but not everybody can do.
Its countless players have failed in New England, and by no means is Philip Door set ever gonna be number one on the depth chart from New England Patriots, but he's a really player inside of the system.
He understands with Tom Brady's expectations are of a wide receiver.
Okay, he gets used in big situations.
We can look at the NFC championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs when he caught a touchdown or his catch against the charges when it looked like he was running home after the play.
There's a trust level between both and even Philip.
Door Set understands that not everybody can do it.
Here's what door set had to say about being a wide receiver on the New England Patriots, and this is where he understands the team.
It's advance, and that's why a lot of guys can't play here.
It continuously evolves.
You got guys who complete inside and out.
If you're versatile, you can play in this offense.
It's easier to play here when you learn it.
Conceptually, Instead of learning one position, I think that that's what makes it hard for a lot of guys.
It takes a long time to learn.
You get in what you put in.
If you take time and study and learn it, you'll learn it But if you put it to the side and come in and just do what you're told, you won't you won't learn it.
And you gotta put in the work end quote.
I butchered that.
I could've made that so much prettier.
But that's what you know.
That's what separates to me Philip doorstop from other people.
The Patriots need role players like Philip Door set.
Okay, because Phillip Dorsett doesn't write.
He answers the call.
Whenever he's called upon, he will accept any assignment that's given to him.
He puts in the work to learn his role.
He's not afraid of competition, and he doesn't care about his stats, that he's got that perfect petri mentality where the only starts that matter is the wind wash record and the fact that Phillip Dorsett has chemistry with Tom Brady.
I already said he's built.
His trust in chemistry is so important as trust because as a wide receiver, you need to know what Tom Brady's thinking.
That's what's made Julian Edelman so successful over the years that sonar that him and Brady have together and Phillip Dorsett is not Julian Edelman, but he understands what Tom Brady is looking for and right now with Julian Edelman, injured Doris, that also understands, especially in these practices, in these competitive practices just how important he is to the Patriots.
Michael McCann of Nason wrote an article.
Here's what he wrote about it.
I thought I'd put parties That door side has caught 44 passes for 448 yards or to season with the Patriots.
He also caught touchdown passes in the NFC divisional round against the Los Angeles Chargers and in the A F C championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Entering his third season in New England, Doorstep believes he has entered Brady Circle of Trust and revealed how he got himself there.
He said It's going out there and making plays door set told the gossip, The Boston Globe's Jim McBride.
It's thinking like him being where he thinks you're going to be and showing confidence that you know what you're doing.
I believe right now with one person that Brady contrast or sat added, obviously we've made some plays in the past.
We've made some critical plays in the past and I feel like we have been keeping going and I'm just trying to get better each day.
Honestly, he sees me working hard and I'm never gonna stop working hard end quote.
So barring that, the thumb is OK, Doris, that's actually gonna be pretty important to the Patriots team this year.
He may not be a big part of the game plan.
I'm not saying that they're gonna be creating games around Philip Door set, but he's going to be there when the Patriots need him.
And at this point time, I have no doubt that he's a roster lock and understanding Tom Brady isn't valuable.
Here's what Door Set said about understanding and respecting Tom Brady.
That's my last quote of the Stream guys, he said. Quote.
I understand what it is to be playing with Tom Brady.
It's definitely an honor.
I loved him before he got here.
He was my favorite quarterback.
Now I've got the chance to know him and had a chance to play with them, and it's definitely been an honor end quote.
That doesn't help my argument at all.
I just wanted to share it.
I don't like making roster predictions.
I'm not as smart as I try to act.
I don't like being wrong.
Um, that's why I won't predict a lot of roster locks.
It looks like I've already made one.
I made one real prediction this year with Dontrelle Inman, and it's already blowing up in my face.
But I can honestly say that I know I'm not wrong about Phillip Dorsett.
I know that he's gonna be a roster lock.
I have no problem locking in door set as a member of the New England Patriots this year.
And that's it, guys, that's all my notes, Thank you.
