00:00:11
And hello, everyone.
00:00:13
Welcome back to another broadcast today.
00:00:15
We're gonna be talking about the Denver Nuggets.
00:00:18
As they came up with a big upset over the Clippers in the Western Conference semi finals.
00:00:26
We're gonna pretty much give a recap.
00:00:27
I know it's a little late.
00:00:28
My article Technol article came out actually on Wednesday, but I didn't do the broadcast for it.
00:00:34
So I'm doing the broadcast today.
00:00:36
Uh, we'll talk playoffs and stuff like that, and then I'm on vacation.
00:00:41
So when I get home, I should be continuing.
00:00:43
Jube, the MBA broadcast MLB.
00:00:47
Hopefully, the Celtics can win some games.
00:00:50
They're down to nothing against the heat.
00:00:51
It's not looking too good right now, but after what happened in the locker room, I feel like they're going to get ah lot Mawr energy going into Game three.
00:01:00
But, um, other than that, let's get right into it.
00:01:03
So the Denver Nuggets, they were down 3 to 1 to the Los Angeles Clippers.
00:01:09
They were able to win three games as they rolled past the Clippers, and we're just going to take a look at pretty much what happened here.
00:01:16
So obviously the Clippers, the Clippers.
00:01:19
They have had no consistency in the sky bubble, Really.
00:01:22
I mean, they had absolutely no consistency against the Mavericks as they lost two games in which Paul George scored only 23 points in both of those games, 23 points of one game for Paul.
00:01:34
George would be okay not into.
00:01:36
So that's definitely not good.
00:01:37
And the then the Clippers went up against the Nuggets, and any consistency that you could have said they had before was 100% God.
00:01:45
As they went up against the Nuggets, they won Game one, lost Game two, and then the one games three and four and then games.
00:01:56
Just in hindsight, it just became a very important game.
00:02:00
If the Clippers win, they would avoid any chances of the Nuggets coming back and winning the Siri's.
00:02:05
And what? Why did they lose this game? I would put the blame on Lou Williams.
00:02:10
They could comes rock for during the broadcast in Game five.
00:02:13
I'm putting the blame on Lou Williams and Montrose Harold Harold, he just 1/6 Man of the Year award and the man who's won it, three times and should probably have the award named after him.
00:02:22
Lou Williams can only score 10 points combined with Harold in this game, so that's definitely a problem.
00:02:29
They bear loss that would have closed out the Siri's and then the Nuggets.
00:02:33
They went to more games and closed out the series.
00:02:35
So when Kawai and Paul George put up good numbers, there was nobody on the bench to help them and vice versa.
00:02:41
When the benches good, the the shots from the Stars were not.
00:02:44
So, there was literally no consistency from this team and that clearly proved to be very fatal for the Clippers.
00:02:51
Let's go over the Nuggets because the Nuggets, their offense has improved in a lot of ways.
00:02:56
When we looked at the Nuggets last year, obviously people saw Nicole Yokich and then you know Jamal Murray was a good point guard.
00:03:03
And you had, um, so other guys like Millsap and um, Grant, you know? Okay, they had the pieces, but it really didn't come together until this year.
00:03:14
Uh, they wanted to see if players could step up and what would go right, because last year they were the second seat.
00:03:19
If you remember to the Warriors this year, when you have the Rockets and the Jazz and the Mavericks, and obviously the Clippers and Lakers and all those teams, it becomes a heck of a lot harder to keep that consistency that you had last year.
00:03:34
So they needed someone to step up.
00:03:36
Did anybody think that Jamal Murray would be a leader when they went into the postseason? No.
00:03:41
And he ended up scoring 50 points a night in that series against the Jazz.
00:03:45
If Jamal Murray did not step up and become a leader, that they would have lost that Siri's, that's because Jamal Murray played like a superstar in that Siri's.
00:03:57
He played great last year.
00:03:58
He played in him even better this year.
00:03:59
He continued to show his growth.
00:04:03
Excuse me as a player.
00:04:05
Paul Millsap, who is one of the who's in one of the last years off his career, showed his value to the team in crunch time throughout the series with the Jazz and the Clippers and Michael Porter Jr.
00:04:17
Who didn't play it all in 2018 come up big this year despite only playing 16 minutes a game is averaging nine, almost 9.
00:04:26
And this team and this offense has matured in a ah great deal since their dreadful performance in Game seven off the Western Conference semifinals last year.
00:04:35
So you know, this Nuggets team has improved so much and they've done so good.
00:04:40
So here's a game by game.
00:04:42
Look at this, Siri's, uh in Game one, the Clippers won, 122 97 what would be the biggest margin of victory for either team in this very, very well thought and close Siri's.
00:04:54
The Clippers offense performed well in in a victory in which not one, not two, not three, not four but five players scored in double figures for the Nuggets.
00:05:03
No one seemed to know what to Dio, and no one scored more than 15 points.
00:05:07
So that was a tough game for the Nuggets to take coming off of, Ah, Game seven and that reward for beating the Jazz wise.
00:05:13
You get to go up against the nut against the Clippers, so that was terrible for them.
00:05:17
Game two that was a bounce back game for the Nuggets is Jamal Murray and Nicole Yokich led the way in a 110 to 101 win and the Clippers consistency problems showed up.
00:05:29
Here is they lost by nine disappointing effort from Kuai Leonard.
00:05:33
And in Game three, it was a very back and forth game that came down to a clutch fourth quarter from the Clippers to take a lead on the Siri's 2 to 1.
00:05:41
Paul George led the way with 32 points Kuai He had it down night, but he was able to could still contribute 23 points, and he grabbed 14 rebounds.
00:05:50
The Nuggets played hard but came up short late when it matters the most in Game four.
00:05:55
This was just a well played game from the Clippers in the 96 to 85 when the Clippers uh, they held the Nuggets the only 85 points they played well, and they took Game four to take a 3 to 1, commanding commanding Siri's lead in Game five.
00:06:10
Like I said, this is a must win game.
00:06:12
They lost came up short and it was just terrible, terrible.
00:06:18
Start to the end for the Clippers, if you know what I mean.
00:06:23
He played like the leader we want to be.
00:06:25
The Clippers bench was definitely like I said to blame for this one.
00:06:28
They couldn't find a rhythm in Game six.
00:06:31
The Clippers came out firing.
00:06:33
They literally went out with I don't know what fired.
00:06:38
I mean, Doc Rivers had to have the best pregame speech of all time because they came out so good and they went out with their heads down.
00:06:47
It was so disappointed.
00:06:48
It was like they thought they had won the lottery and they came out and they realized that the numbers were actually wrong and that they had, uh, that their ticket was not actually the winning ticket.
00:06:59
And that's what happened. The Nuggets.
00:07:01
They were down by 16 at the half and they came back.
00:07:04
They battled back and one, I mean, seriously, they came back in a huge game.
00:07:10
That's like when your buddies playing, you're playing football on your bedding and, um which you should not dio unless you, you know, know what you're doing, because if not, you might lose a lot of money.
00:07:19
But and then your team was up by a lot, and then Okay, well, you just failed after being up by 16 at the half.
00:07:26
That's that's how that feels for the Clippers.
00:07:28
That feels like somebody who lost a lot of money on the Clippers in that game, So that was very disappointing.
00:07:34
Yokich came up big down the stretch for the Nuggets.
00:07:38
He scored 34 points, well deserved to come back when in the Game seven, it all comes down to this.
00:07:44
Could the Clippers finally went and close out this Siri's? Or was it all matting up to this comeback for the Nuggets? The first half it was tight.
00:07:51
The Clips were up by two.
00:07:53
In a very tense game, however, the Nuggets came out into the second half again with a strong desire to win.
00:07:58
Jamal Murray scored 40 and the Nuggets prevailed in a huge wind close their second straight 31 comeback in the playoffs.
00:08:05
Thank you, Billy Man, 9 to 8 for during the broadcast.
00:08:09
So this was a huge Siris for both teams.
00:08:12
The Clippers, obviously the title favorites that was well known around the league, that they were going to be the team coming out this year and maybe being able to win the title most likely, and they can't even get to the conference finals.
00:08:24
And that's just very disappointing.
00:08:26
So my one piece of advice for the Nuggets is to go into the conference finals, and please do not go down 31 again.
00:08:33
I mean, you don't wanna have gray hair is already.
00:08:36
I mean, that is so stressful to be down 3 to 1 in another Siri's.
00:08:39
So I say they win the first few games and then they close out the series against the Lakers Lakers.
00:08:44
They're gonna be a heart opponent, though.
00:08:46
I could see this one going to six or seven.
00:08:48
I mean, this is seriously two great teams that can really do a lot.
00:08:51
So that's my advice.
00:08:53
Tonight, the Lakers take on the Nuggets.
00:08:55
That's at 9 p.m.
00:08:57
So I really do believe it's gonna be a close Siris for the Nuggets against the Lakers.
00:09:01
Because the Nuggets, I hope they don't go three down 31 again. Although that would be great.
00:09:06
All my predictions were right, except for this one.
00:09:08
But I'm glad it was this one.
00:09:09
That was wrong, because I really wanted to see the Nuggets battle back again.
00:09:13
But if they come out and they win this game, uh, the series against the Lakers and they win the NBA title, then I would say that the Nuggets, I would say that might be one of the most greatest postseason comebacks off all time if they come out, even if they win the rest of their games, I would considerably say that, and I would love to see Nuggets and heat in the finals, but at the same time, I hate it because that means the Celtics won't make the finals there down to Oh, I'm not mad.
00:09:40
I'm disappointed.
00:09:41
I need I need Kemba Walker to continue to play like you did in that last cape.
00:09:45
And they literally up like 13 and 17 actually in the third quarter 15 3rd quarter and they could not win against the Heat for the second straight time.
00:09:55
Dragic is a great player, scored 20 plus again 23.
00:09:58
I believe he had in the first game, 25 in the second, like he's just playing with a with a desire to get the heat back into the finals like they were in 2010 and everything, so I really do believe it's gonna be a great Siri's with Lakers and Nuggets.
00:10:15
This was a great Siri's between the Nuggets and the Clippers, the Nuggets upsetting the Clippers.
00:10:20
But if the Lakers go, if the Lakers go up 3 to 1 in the conference finals, they can't do with the Clippers do, which was relaxing to a point where you're letting them come back bets with the Jazz and the Clippers both do.
00:10:33
You can't let off the brakes at all.
00:10:35
You gotta You gotta put the brick on the brakes and you can't slow down.
00:10:40
You just can't slow down whatsoever.
00:10:43
They gotta keep pressure.
00:10:44
Game five, I would say if they go up three nothing or 3 to 1 game five or four.
00:10:48
Those air, that's the most important game of this series.
00:10:50
You have got to win that game.
00:10:52
Do not let the Nuggets get any mo mentum.
00:10:54
And for the Nuggets, don't go down 3 to 1.
00:10:57
Just win the first game.
00:10:58
Come on, do not go down 3 to 1 again.
00:11:01
Going to give somebody a heart attack over here If you keep going down +321 Jamal Murray is gonna have a full head of gray hair, if that.
00:11:08
If they go down 3 to 1 again.
00:11:10
So that's all I have to say.
00:11:14
Siri's between the Nuggets and the Clippers, and I will see everybody in the next broadcast.
00:11:19
Currently, I am in an RV right now, so it is not very easy to broadcast going down the road with WiFi and everything.
00:11:27
But I'm trying to make the best of it, and, uh, hopefully we'll be able to broadcast soon again.
00:11:33
Maybe the Celtics.
00:11:34
He came on Saturday.
00:11:36
If not, I'll try and broadcast.
00:11:38
I get home this upcoming Thursday and then hopefully I'll be able to broadcast.
00:11:43
