Walker Kimbrough? Yes.
And Skylar Diggins Smith made a heck of a path.
That was an excellent pass.
I mean, digging Smith in, uh, Paris really brought them there with all the shot making down the stretch.
Yeah, I mean, little for fast Asian games, but anyway, fire, fire.
So I actually talking about this earlier? I'm I'm hoping to get back on here regularly for general MBA coverage using a locker room for my w coverage.
E I went live on the block room Monday in an earlier today with Corey and talked of you, and so it went pretty well on there.
So I'm hoping, toe, you know, make that where I do that because I've been looking for ways to cover it.
Um, I've been I've been Really I don't have subscribed.
I have a teeny to cover it.
I've actually reached out to places like Okay, I just write a couple of bits, like, just like I'm itching like I want.
And so I mean, sadly enough, I'm selling, uh, selling 1000 here, but I've been kind of having a bad mental stretch.
Um, Melissa husband in a tough spot.
So I was that's that's been one thing.
I've had a lot of drive, like a desire to cover them and looking for that.
I'm actually I'm type stuff in my word.
Docks just have it.
And it's just sitting there like no one's reading it, but it just felt good.
This is that I need to get locked in the vault.
E o need to turn out a few of these pieces for the Grizzlies.
I've got in mind.
Um, you know, I've got, like, three or four in the draft that I can knock out of and planning for a while, but she's been, uh, I've been having itself tough. Go of it lately.
So I'm sorry, man.
The text me, You know, I stuck with it, but I'm here, Aziz.
One of them, my social media platform.
And I'm on that.
The knob in John reaching out support system. You know, it's important.
And, yeah, we're here, you know, basing fax.
Yeah, e no, Eric.
Eric Just mad because his bucks got and I came on Monday when he came on just to give him some flak about it because he needed to know and I'm glad I was able to, but stop! Stop it, Eric, Like there is the best team in the N B A.
Just have my Lakers as is.
I mean, the Nuggets.
The Nuggets playing the Nuggets are gonna listen if the Nuggets win this how hi I am on Denver.
If the Nuggets beat the Lakers and go the NBA Finals.
As disheartened as I would be as Lakers fan, I wouldn't even be mad.
They came back twice from 31 They make it that way.
They deserve it.
You know what I mean? They deserve it.
I'm not gonna Who am I to stand in front of that And my family? Beside, They went down 31 to Utah.
Came back in a tight game in a tight Siri's 31 So the Clippers the same thing if they do it on the Lakers or if they beat the Lakers, Okay, Respect, Like respect.
That being said, I expect it.
Nah, I mean, Milwaukee.
LeBron James is gonna choke like Yannis does every year why things happen.
But I didn't expect it to beat the Clippers.
And you know what? I didn't but the end of the day Clippers are gonna be clippers.
The clips gonna clip.
You know what I mean? Yeah, I didn't think that that that was That was I might, I might say, even as the Warriors friend, That's the biggest joke I've seen.
Yeah, I mean, Onley Onley way worse.
Only thing worse than being a Clippers fan right now.
And there's not a whole lot, I say.
Actually, it's not worse.
Being a Clippers fan right now is like at the top of, like, one of the worst things.
But right below that is being a bucks fan because way Stop talking about you.
We start talking about a week and a half ago.
Yeah, I was the best team.
Knows all these things about all the best record you are on pace for 70 wins and a well known you are on pace for 70 wins in the second round exit.
I'm sure the whole dialogue would have been different.
17 70 wins in a 70 wins and a gentleman sleep at the end of the heat and and they're one win was basically without Johannes and they won with the honest without their best one without Johannes and by the way that dude isn't even I'm Chris Milton.
The guy who loved him isn't even all n b A team.
And for those saying, Oh, home court, the Lakers haven't had home court.
They're doing just fine.
The Nuggets haven't had home court and keep falling down 3 to 1.
They're doing just fine.
They're doing just fine.
If the Bucks were on track for 70 wins, some of those run other people's courts.
So you're saying you can win on your home floor and you could win on the away floor, but you can't win on neutral floors.
That's so I'm sorry, kryptonite that in the lack of a jump shot from your team.
But that's all I got.
Sorry, waiting first.
I'm happy back with y'all.
You say that because earlier today on locker room, I set through Logan debating a guy for an hour and 20 minutes about Yanis location in the MBA rankings.
Eso the amount of bucks talk that's in my head right now.
So much higher than thank you.
I mean, they're going, They're not, they're not.
No, they're not relevance anyway.
Let's be inexpensive worse.
You know what? Yeah, but listen, as the next family, I didn't even have a future where we are expecting this year of 15 power forwards e 20 wins.
I'm not saying it to be under.
I'm not trying to come at you like that Fast talking.
All the UNIX fan Hornets, the Bulls.
You know where you're gonna be at e a your third overall pick.
Not even make it all rookie.
Thank you, E Hey.
Wasn't even a thought though.
I was looking back.
I'm looking at the draft trying to pick my thio.
Anybody pick 20 seconds.
I miss like, yo, like Tyler Herro p r J.
Barrett, Terrence Davis.
What? ***? Like what? It was like E never would have projected route.
How'd you might be saying team already? Not not, Not not.
Not especially if you said he was gonna do it over RJ Bear.
Jokes write themselves, they dio it was like the whole team was like, We'll pick you and you and they see are right there.
And they're like, Is there anybody cans? Davis? Yes, E Rooney, Is that you? 11 points a game.
Yes, second team, second team marketing.
And then at the end of like, dang RJ, we just It was such a talented pool.
Just ran out of money, Not They're gonna tell RJ Bear what they told Chris Middleton.
You received folks.
They guard and forward, so they cancel each other out.
There you go. Exactly.
You know what? With the way they were playing, I'm surprised that he didn't receive votes and power for with the rest of those next guys.
Oh, man, I e made over RJ.
Yes, Cam Benson.
If they would have reached back and went, Yeah, do that.
Most improved and rookie second team, rookie year for his fourth year.
Why not? Oh, man.
It's like that sweet RP your rookie, But I'm different.
A tad Kendrick Nunn.
Yeah, look, Kendrick now and is unplayable right now for the trash while we're going because we're just excited to get in this week.
What are we gonna talk about the clippers right now? We're gonna talk about the heat where we going so I can jump in with you because I wanna be a tenant right now.
Everyone that needs to be roasted like Patrick Beverley.
Oh, my good e It is a symbol rocket way When we played them opening night and Oracle, he goes, Hey, man to step He's like, Oh, do I got the next five years Their mind step Just last night I was like, Oh, aren't you 31? I love That was like a gold blind e came back and I was like, E, this is gonna be hilarious.
Yeah, that they dio e didn't realize how much we needed the clippers to blow 31 like this The content on Twitter for the last.
Like e Honestly, I was just sad that could why performed poorly because I was so ready for the Paul George slander fist that was about to take.
But I was like I was just like, foaming at the mouth.
Wait a side of the backboard e my locks.
That's my locks in Right now.
I have a live photo e m committed to the booth that was like what I do when I'm like losing Detroit E.
Brooke's pandemic P and like that's going to stay for a while like that.
That's how people are shooting in two K right now.
Oh, man, That was gold Deserve all this.
But I'm happy that Oh, I had a bad game.
You know why? Because now you don't get away from this either.
You could have stayed you.
You're supporting Cast you, Paul George, as your running mate.
And this is what you can guess.
What? You would exempt from this too.
Because unlike your comparison to LeBron, you ain't LeBron.
You were the best player on a title team that is different than being a good player all the time.
Like, you know, the Clippers had a lot of talent.
Quiet's top five easily.
But there's some There's some tears in that top five.
And I say, LeBron James, you honest, is a couple steps below, and quiet is right there with them.
Because if your best players will lead you to second and exits and can't be relied upon, if they're not on their home court, then I mean a man.
After this, I'm putting staff up there over choir.
Right now, I take Steph in an elimination game.
Just clutch playoff series.
Right now, I know there's one game, but I can't hear you like chopped? Nah, uh, got you, but e kind of get back what you need.
Yeah, I just Yeah, it was just It was That was, um it was bad.
I'm like, how do you go over 11.
Your two star players in the fourth quarter missing down by, like, five or six. The end of the third.
I'm, like, eight at the end of the third.
And then 20 plus right.
Like how? Yeah, exactly.
With all his great defensive skills.
House out two minutes into the fourth quarter of game six because his great defense is just what? What? Had it right when he said that.
Pat Beverley, be fooled. But we do.
You can play super aggressive when you follow people.
You could pour Jamal Jamal, Jamal Murray's HBO yesterday.
A cheap shot, a cheap shot down 20 points. Exactly.
You know, loose, like humans think their trash and and and And they have the street lights over spotlights like bro team.
You are exactly what you're saying.
You not You don't want to do all the glitz and glamour.
You were the ones that were talking.
All this smoking and the mess around people And yeah, Mauritian there too.
Man, I'm in. Uh oh.
She's up there as well.
You know who I'm happy, but I feel bad, But I also don't feel bad.
Thank you. Good. Deep.
That was perfect for you.
You thought you could join LeBron, but you decide.
Because they all flamed out like that and the heart wasn't there.
They just thought they hold up the ball and do what they do.
And the fact they lost her team does more cohesive was great.
But honestly, I hate to say it actually, don't Eric here.
Bucks fans should be really happy right now that the Clippers have this because they can just look like they didn't just get disappointingly from out the door because the rockets were different.
The Rockets lost to a very good Lakers seem like.
Yes, they find out they were supposed to make it quote unquote tough for the Lakers.
But it was when we talk about that Syriza how close that was like that I didn't exactly rather was coming from the quadriceps injury.
And you can pick nits and go at James Harden and go at others.
And now Mike D'Antoni.
But that wasn't a serious.
They were supposed to win Milwaukee over Miami.
Even I had Milwaukee in five.
That was a joke.
Clippers over the Nuggets.
So those two teams people of the Clippers, they are going to get a lot of attention, rightfully so.
My question to yall is what do you think they do with, well, three of their free agents? They have mantra.
Howl, Of course, Marcus Morris and then the Michael Green pick up that player option.
And honestly, like, I would just try to get to Michael Green back if I were the Clippers.
Yeah, I mean, they they're Sally.
I was listening toe What? It was first take.
They're talking about, like, the salad crapping stuff.
And I if, yeah, like, what are you gonna do? Get rid of Monterrey's and trends? Probably gone like he's gonna get a bigger contract somewhere, Lou.
Will, would you really pay me? Is what, 32 33 now, like he didn't have a good bubble like stint.
I think he's still gonna be the fight another two years or so.
He's still contract.
Yeah, e like they Michael Marcus Morris.
You know, and Marcus Morris, 31.
John Michael Green. Hidden thirties.
So the thing is like, Yeah, they need a point guard, and then I just just running back with the same thing because I still think this Clippers team is a championship team, like one second. Put it together.
E feel like a lot of it falls on Doc, man like Doc.
He got out coached against the Mavs, but they were just injured.
They really early outcoached by Mike Malone in the last, like the last three games especially, but just the entire series, like the Nuggets, should have won Game three to like they had a plan and they were.
So I think dogs got like, really, I don't know.
I don't think you should fire him just because I think I still think is a good coach.
But he's not showing up in big moments again.
And he's like the only coach to blow 33 311 back with the Magic and Tracy McGrady used to go with the Rockets.
Yeah, but like, there's nothing and it is so weird.
But do we not see the parallels again? I'm not even reaching, you know, conspiracy theory here.
Do you not see the comparisons between the lake, the Clippers and the Bucks Right now? Two teams that were supposed to continue that did, too.
Coaches that massively lost any mindset of how to coach maybe actually play with the best players more than 32 minutes a game.
Yeah, maybe I shouldn't play Montrezl Harrell more than 25 skin.
These were obvious coaching decisions.
What e like? Just the only difference.
I'd say it's personal.
I was like going like the heat like the I mean, it's the Bucks, like on paper like, Yeah, there's good team, great regular season team.
But like in the East, you were like, You know what? There's like four or five teams I could like confidently say I could see him when coming out the East.
It was like the books, the heat, the Raptors something what, like Lakers Clippers.
For me in the West, I was like, Yo, it's Clippers or Lakers like those are the two best teams in the West Clippers.
On paper, I think are still better, but you're not gonna see it because they just know that's like? Yeah, those conversations, like automatic.
The warriors would be better if they were there, but they're not that.
So I'm not even gonna like trying like like that was spoken.
But e c is like the Clippers.
If they just read, like, just come back with the same roster and just I know P d was using an excuse, but, you know, maybe this year wasn't champion.
I think it was championship or bust just because of what they gave up.
But if they're able to keep this core together and just kind of it would be like the 2011 heat, man, They put everything together, lost in the front.
They made it the finals, first of all, But they lost, came back, retold, just stuck with same core and ended up winning back to back rings.
And I could see the Clippers doing my next day.
I'm not gonna say they're gonna win the next two.
Yeah, they got They have the opportunity to do it like the West devoted.
Yeah, Lord, an opportunity.
They missed a golden opportunity.
But yeah, like future wise, I take the Clippers over the bucks as of right now.
I mean, here's my thing.
I got to disagree on Lee because, okay, so, like the 2012 Miami Heat, fine.
This is my heart In the first round, they played the New York Knicks team that year.
That wasn't up to the level.
They had just gotten mellow.
They had a Mari, but little else.
That was pretty simple, right? The next one they had was the Indiana Pacers.
Pretty much the same thing.
Paul, George, David West were Hibbert, but they were just They weren't nowhere near what they would be. 2013 2014.
And then you had the 2012 Boston Celtics on their last legs, the heat where the head of the class the entire time.
That was without perspective.
The Clippers were arguably the head of the class this year with the Lakers next year, you see the Nuggets obviously get the Clippers trouble.
You could say neutral quarter, Whatever.
The Mavericks are only gonna get better.
Teams that weren't even in the grid is gonna get better.
I'm not saying they're challenged them, but they'll be in the mix for a playoff spot.
Rockets, the Jazz, the Warriors you have teams down at the top, the lake, because they're gonna be back the same.
So it's four or five teams already.
I'm not comfortable putting the Clippers over them.
I think it's a crapshoot again.
This is why I'm going to say about the Bucks, the Bucks and when we're talking about this is the same group, all of three, ah, couple of months back.
It seems like a year ago talking with the M V P race.
Be honest this and honest that the teams on pace for this, the teams on pace for that.
And now all I'm hearing is, well, it was kind of a crapshoot.
We didn't know if the Heat or the Celtics, all those teams were good.
But from what I heard, it wasn't just the honest statistical problems that put him over the edge.
It was just how dominant bucks were.
Now it seems like everyone is rightfully saying what I was saying, which is the Bucks were very good regular season team.
Things were tighter.
No, we were talking about this before and we were like bucks or a really good team.
They were supposed to get through this at least Eastern Conference finals.
And even then, the difference maker was someone.
Team has the M, V, P and Honest and the other teams don't.
And that was supposed to be the deciding factor.
Now, mind you, your M v p, they go down.
You know, in Game three, I will say of the Siri's, you already lost both, too.
And he had, like, the most meaningless numbers up there.
But in general, a Sfar as having the easier path I felt bucks had of this year.
And I would put the bucks over the Clippers next year because the West only gonna get tougher.
And with the East, you're gonna have the same team is coming back.
You know, the Celtics still be very good.
The Raptors depend on what they do.
Still be very good.
They might have a hit depending what happens to vanvleet, and you know, other free agents Ibaka and Marc Gasol.
But they'll be right back.
But the Bucks should have done just what they should have done this year.
Taking care of business, I don't know.
And you know, I'm gonna try, and I think one thing that's interesting to me about the bucks in the East.
Is that those top teams Celtics? The Raptors? The Bucks were not necessarily bucks but Celtics and built to beat the Bucks, then opposed to anything in the West being specifically built to beat the Clippers.
In my opinion, like the Lakers Clippers were built to beat the Lakers.
But there's not teams being built to beat the Clippers.
So you're like, Really, Clippers? Lakers are the two you expect to see.
But I always thought the East was more built to beat the Bucks to stop the Bucks.
Like we've seen that over the past few years.
And Logan, I see him in the chat.
Had this our 20 minute debate with this guy about like how Yanis can develop and become that guy and help the Bucks a next step.
But, like, you know, he could comment.
Maura's the Bucks fan, but to me, the Celtics are well equipped to beat the Bucks, the heat or relative because we seem to beat the Bucks, the Raptors, if they held everyone together or retool how they do it or well equipped to beat the Bucks.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets beat the Clippers as we saw, but they weren't built to.
Like specifically to beat the Clippers.
They were built to be a cohesive, deep team to compete, regardless of who they were competing against.
Uh, like the Clippers were built to try to beat the Lakers in l.
A. But now they're not even a chance toe.
That's honestly yeah, e don't know if I could say that better.
Just show any heart they wouldn't beat the Lakers if they did not like it was a mental thing.
It's not even about.
And And the guy the guy Logan was talking earlier I can't remember His name was talking about how even though Kawhi Leonard shot like six of 20 you have to give him credit because he kept shooting.
And I'm like, No, Are you being on waiters? Are you like I would rather see somebody because, you know, that's what they're doing to K.
Maybe, but right, But so just for fun, like, yeah, I'm playing five on five.
I normally get that.
I'm going down shooting because that's getting me right.
That's what I'm saying.
So you know, and you talk about the different narratives, especially like with Johannes and for before and after they lost.
And all this stuff like E.
I agree with you Corbyn like there's just a lot of hypocrisy and doubling back and flipping everything.
And the thing about it is thes.
People are prominent national media members.
Receipts are readily available.
Whether be on Twitter, ESPN, CBS Sports whatever.
Like you can find them in a matter of five seconds on Google Search.
You know, it'd be one thing if you and I sat here three months ago and talked about how you honest was the MVP run away.
And now when we come back and say, Well, you know, nobody connected to go back except for us and find that but yeah, but the prominent guys just flipping back and forth.
It's just like, you know, just own it just on the even.
If you want to say Yannis is the M V P, which I still agree with now because again, regular season award.
But he's still very limited as a player, and e got exposed right and the team around him is not perfectly built as it needs to be to take him to that level of winning rings.
And that's not all on you, honest.
But again, the guy Eric Logan was talking really talking about how Where's that game? Where you honest goes off, like 42? Because he just is an attack mode all game.
He's not let anyone stop it.
We've seen that in spurts, but he doesn't like I think about that game against the Pistons or LeBron.
Just what craziest.
What was it like, 19 straight points or whatever? Yeah, like that was his coming out party.
You know, he was already really, you know, well known for being high school, being the Children, whatever That was his like. Okay, I'm here.
Honest. Hasn't had yet.
Yonas tried it with that stupid corny can write corny little king Anything against the Lakers? Like when he happened to walk into five threes.
They even took that stuff right back next time.
That's what I'm saying.
So, like, and I agree with the guy I was talking about on that regard, like, you know, he hasn't had that, But I also agree with Logan was saying where it's like you looking like Jimmy Butler with the heat, and he's surrounded with better complimentary pieces.
Um for his play style.
In my opinion, that's what they were born back and forth.
About a lot was about like the Heat.
Have better, uh, off both threats around Jimmy Butler than than the Bucks do around Johannes with the Beetle.
A hero Duncan Robinson, J crap players and like you get a bam Jimmy pick and roll.
You know you have better threats.
But then, if you look at what Logan's arguing about, honest, like you've got Air Blood, so not a great shooter.
Brook Lopez has made strides, but it's still openly, not a great shooter.
Consistently, you've got Donte DiVincenzo.
Who again solid, solid young player, not the best shooting like Chris Middleton is not the greatest catch and shoot shooter.
He's more of a shock creator.
Eso mid range post, whatever.
So team as we Mrs Construct to be a great regular season team.
But in the playoffs, when things change, their very limited.
And that is to me again, not fully on your honesty shoulders, but also, like sometimes it didn't seem like he just checked out Well, he is my thing.
I mean, the best player in this series, even if you're gonna lose.
We've seen that happen.
A lot go down fighting in a way that I mean, he came down injury that we go.
Okay, You know what? Yonas did his thing.
You know what I mean? At the end of the day, we can.
All that was known for eons when he was playing was how little he was doing in the fourth quarter of both of those games in Game one to game.
To how he was avoiding the defense of challenge on Jimmy Butler.
Then saying that the coach didn't put him on him.
So he didn't do that as a as a great player.
You take that on.
I see a lot of people saying the whole mano a mano thing, but no for the good of the team.
Jim Wallace cooking you guys, You're the defense player of the year.
That's what you dio.
If not, then you make your presence felt in the fourth quarter.
Yonas did neither.
He just sat there, let it happen when they asked him what happened to deflect it and went to the coach, and it looks bad on him.
Then he gets injured and four, They win that game and these out in Game five.
And so the one game that they actually the positive impact on, he wasn't even a really good part of unless you want to call the rallying around him, Which is weird, because that's what you had him for three games that you just gave those all the way.
So I don't accept that.
But it's so interesting to speak about because I see Andre talking about the Heat system.
Doesn't work at Butler, doesn't have a job.
Jimmy Butler is not a great jump shooter, you willing jump shooter.
That's the biggest secrets being.
Be honest, you, honest, is still working on that pool of game or that game in general.
You talked about how you walked into five threes.
Yeah, like if you're honest, it's five threes in the night right now.
It's kind of like it was kind of fluky here.
You know, I'm doing the best that I'm gonna look it up right now while we're talking to one of the best of one time.
He hit five threes.
A game against Lakers was the only time he did all season.
I would be surprised if you could find as like, more than a few other games where he attempted five times.
You know, I will.
I'm not Erickson Bucks guy.
Follow them very loyally.
I I followed them as an NBA fan, but not as hard.
So the most reads honest something.
The game well, the last two years was eight.
Um, he went the this one was that five or eight game he had against the Lakers, and then he went looking at it.
Now, one second, um, seven a couple times.
I'm trying to see how many he makes in these, because now it's telling me how many attempted 55 is most makes.
He's a times, and this was the high of the year of of his career.
Every other year, the most he made before that was he had four in the game, back in 2015 2016 against the Celtics when they lost by and he went four or five from three.
Well, that's actually efficient.
You're honest game aficionados games.
You honestly? Yeah, for five from the then he had a game with 33 pointers in one game the next year and the year after that.
Then he came with five against the Lakers and that was it.
And see, the thing about that is like, Hey, King, me, hey, doesn't have to shoot a lot.
We're not talking about shooting a lot.
We're not even talking about, like being a, you know, an elite.
He just needs to be more willing with at times.
And if he learned how to pick his spots effectively, his he's gonna be far and away the most impactful player and lead.
It's all about just learning when and where to do it, because what you always did within the paint and download incredible.
No, no, there's no one that could do anything with him.
But once again in the playoffs, when you're shifting the defense to eliminate that and effectively doing so right, you have to alter your game, especially when your team doesn't necessarily have the personnel to pick it up for you.
And, you know, I talked about I saw once again I'm referencing this lower thing a lot because it's on my brain.
I learned a lot about Yanis and thought about things differently.
You look at like LeBron back in the day.
LeBron didn't have a lot of great shooters around him or a great options.
He had some decent ones.
You know, like you look at like a Mo Williams or Daniel Gibson or Yoga Oska's and their first like they're not terrible players by any means.
Like they're not Chris Middleton.
You know, they're they're No, they're not.
Chris Milton wasn't all NBA player.
I don't care how you put it.
He just got screwed up because the voting system, I mean, listen, they gave it to Russell Westbrook.
I'm as the Russell Westbrook fan.
I'm not going to say that he should have gotten it.
But you say that, right? Right.
So But But to me, like again going back to that like and of course, the game.
The game was so different and everything.
I mean, that's 13 14 years ago, but again, LeBron just did what he had learned.
That I feel like like knowing your that, like you think you're the best friendly.
You gotta be ableto carry your team regard.
Like we've seen people like LeBron Kobe m j like a wide staff.
Katie, like we've seen all that guys that we consider superstars a some point, then, like put their name on the back and carry them to whether it's past the SYRIZA or to a championship or whatever it is like.
I haven't seen that from your honest yet like ever like it was a similar after having a 20 lead.
Not outhustled by Jimmy Butler This year on and to me, we saw a similar thing with Toronto in past Karsiyaka.
We saw that he wasn't quite ready to be that guy.
And one thing thing thing, it's just, you know, every year.
And like I feel like the we have a very like, especially in like the media right now, like there's always, like, got you.
You want the person to deliver, like today and I might not be you.
Honestly. Still, what, 25 or something? E.
Just 26 25 way had 26 ft that pretty soon remember 20 like he's still super young like guy.
He's not even barely entering his prime right now like that.
It's scary to think about.
We're talking about this right now.
In the 20 cities will be 26 in December right and making music December.
By the way, you make a point like there's nothing wrong with finding a ceiling a player, especially for a player like Yannis, who essentially has a limitless one.
There's nothing wrong with finding this is like and one thing I think about the bubble, that's very interesting.
That is a lot easier to see that from my team personally, like a especially speak from my experience.
Like I think this bubble well, I mean, we knew this going in, but it had a much strong impact on the younger teams than the more established team.
That's why the Portland Trail Blazers scorched through and made the eight seed and weigh faltered it.
But again, I mean, we had injuries and things, but still like, we just never looked right.
I wrote about it.
We talked about it a lot of like we never looked like I was expecting basketball struggles.
I was expecting to be, you know, a little stymie, no offense and have a harder time establish our game.
But like we just were not here.
The entirety of the bubble, that was what shook me.
But But, you know, you think about that.
And like Pascal Siachen as well.
He's a young guy.
He just started playing basketball, like seven years ago or something crazy like that, like, you know, like like So you just look at that and you look at the bulb into me.
I think that's one of the hidden prose of this bubble is just the fact that you could really sit back and establish your team.
You're taking away home court advantage you have.
You could just sit there and watch your team play.
You can assess your coaching.
You can assess pretty much your entire team without any type of influence from anything else.
E think that will help a lot of teams going forward like we talked about the Clippers.
They need a point guard.
It's not really something that was really thought about by.
I never see a lot of people talking about it.
I thought about it, but I thought maybe they could make do, but they couldn't.
They need a point guard and I think you know, if they had like a Ricky Rubio type of guy because you saw what he did for the sons and if he could elevate the sons to the level he did with them.
Imagine what someone similar to due to the Clippers, who are already an elite team, and the Bucks are in the same boat.
They can see how they can retool to continue their dominance and take that next step.
And there's nothing to me.
There's nothing wrong with that. Of course, you want your team to compete.
Of course, you want your team to win it all, especially when you have such a dominant season with a dominant player.
But again, people are flipping out about shortcomings, and to me, that's the opposite of what you should be doing.
You should be crazy.
You should be like, Okay, here's where we are.
We know it's definite.
Um, there's no you don't You can't talk anything up there anything like Really, you just You saw the game and it's arguably its purest form.
It's the best way, like e mean to me like that.
That has been hidden pro to me for the bubble.
Just watching it.
I was curiously, how would watched with all the fake fans or virtual fans in the crowd knows whatever, and it's watched beautifully.
Uh, it's been a seamless transition, but like I yeah, knowing that there's no fans, air and stuff like like the intensity.
So they're like, That was my biggest thing.
I was like, our our players gonna be as intense and I'm not gonna I like e can't even argue to say that.
It's been like some of these games have been the closest stuff I've seen, like And of course, you can always say like, you see, people say, like the Nuggets don't come back from 231 deficits in a regular playing Staples? Absolutely not.
But at the end of the day, like seeing that is incredible, like not even just like they came back, being down by double digits every game like that.
If they were down 14 15 at Staples in Game five, that's a wrap they and it also ties into something else.
We talked to the outside stone earlier, and I heard again going back again this Logan conversation I spent an hour and 20 minutes listening to various points, some of which were slippery slope, some of which were not good arguments, whatever.
But like, I think another thing, it's pointed out, is that some of these coaches need Thio, don't want to say retire or be fired for saying, But like, I think it's time for some head coaching changes.
And Doc Rivers was one they spoke about.
Uh, and the point the guy logos talking to it was like, I don't think Doc Rivers **** retired and not be a coach at all.
But I think he should swap places with high loop.
You know, let someone else come in a little younger, a little more fresh like and just and just, you know, uh, change of the Guard is how he put it, because look at some of these younger coaches in the league.
Nick Nurse Bret Stephens.
My great coaching opening a fun job.
Cases like we're going to see some.
And he talked about Nate McMillan as well.
Like Nate McMillan has a very good track record, a proven track record.
But at the end of day, like if it's timeto step down to assistant coach or whatever, because I think native Bill would be an excellent, especially defensive assistant coach for its Heat e.
I think he made a lot happened in Indiana with very little, considering they're loading a four or five seed like you wanted the radar the entire time, right? And I think that should be awarded.
I don't think he's nestled in that boat.
Would be like someone like Doc Rivers.
Doc Rivers left Boston to avoid a rebuild, and since he left Boston, they've been to the Eastern Conference finals more than Clippers to the Western Conference finder like That's crazy to me.
He gets Blake Griffin and Chris Paul DeAndre Jordan with a great supporting cast.
I mean, they've had JJ Red**** a long time as my because that's wow and it's just one.
And it's just one like we have one and they've been around for 50 years like it's just zero.
And I like Doc Rivers.
I think he's a good coach.
But Nick Wright was so funny this morning.
He said, Doc Rivers.
Doc Rivers has lost a 31 deficit under Bush Obama and out strong.
It's just like just like if you want someone who is a three one lead every presidential term hired Dr I was just like insanity.
Oh yeah, that's hard.
I mean, really ripped is welcomed by well, but yeah, I mean, I would like I guess I don't And I think the Spurs are absolutely gonna do that.
I think Pop might retire completely, but you're gonna see the like, whether it's Becky Hammon for even I don't think it'll be ahead.
But, like, I think Becky Hammond should absolutely be in the running for some of these opening spots like she's been around for, like shooting coaching for five years, right? And with all with all due respect to this higher, if Steve Nash could just walk into a job, I mean, I know who's been working with the Warriors and behind them, like at the end of the day, like doing what he does and jumped ahead.
Coaching is two different animals, especially for a team that's gonna have the same championship aspirations, especially in the East.
With Katie coming back regardless of what you get from him.
I mean, Katie could come back at 80% and you're still gonna have that same because they're looking to make a move for through holiday breath rebuild type of got.
They've got Ah bonified young star to me and Caris Levert.
They've got a good supporting cast.
They've got all the keys they need.
They've got everything they need.
And now they've got Steve Nash was a great basketball mind.
Oh, I see what you're just like saying Like it the There's a lot of qualified coaches with experience out there like that could have done.
I mean, you know, I'm not gonna hate on the dude until he I see See him coaching or whatever.
But as of now, um, subject change.
Subject Thio to adjustment.
Um, yeah, I do this this commerce final is gonna be fun, but completed already looking like it's gonna be a fun one.
That bam Block was incredible.
I mean, uh, somebody pointed out I've been on the bandwagon so hard right now.
And the nuggets, if that's the finals, I would be the happiest place because you're looking at two very unique place styles and play unique but very similarly constructed team.
Yes, Gray head coaches like I think it would be like just a very pure form of I think it would be phenomenal to watch.
I like both coaches.
I love both rosters.
E no, I see what Corporates doing.
But, uh, you've got to similar constructed Ross is just not the elite.
Because I'm saying see, my my thing is like we've been We've seen it already, but it doesn't matter if you gonna leave roster If you can't play in the bubble.
Listen, but you can't go against LeBron James.
He is not a youngster.
It is not a y, Leonard.
He is not a Nicolai.
Yo, kids is brawn James way? You know LeBron skin.
Well, he's playing Well, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna I mean, he's only been the finals the last 11 years.
Might have, like one like he's up there.
But he's he's he's no, I will never count on LeBron.
But I just got pumped the brakes before because the Nuggets Clippers.
I mean, nuggets, heat.
I'm not a pure game of basketball.
I mean, he I'm gonna dream.
But lebron, if LeBron can't win this ring, dude, that's gonna tell you hit.
This is the easiest path he has right now.
They're not gonna lie.
If I look back on the annals, annual annuals of LeBron's opponents, and I go okay, you know what losing to the tough San Antonio Spurs.
That was wild, you know, losing to the **** and ill expected back in the day.
I get that I get Spurs.
That Mavericks team got you once, but they were really That's the only one I'd say.
That was a veteran team.
Those words great.
Yeah, those words.
The Cavs Alright, then one year you were injured.
Okay, you got the Denver Nuggets.
I can't I can't just go ever like Michael Scratch like you look at the Great Western Conference opponents and I'm gonna bring them to 2020 nuggets in the 15 17 The bubble sons Dio Yeah.
For and and honestly, I don't even want a couple reasons.
What? The Lakers to lose one.
I mean, I've read from two.
I think they're the better team. Three.
You see how quickly the excuses came from the Clippers side assumes they lost.
They were so tired and fatigued.
Or someone Lakers, if a loss happened, would say something that the media would sit up on on more than likely would be already what LeBron said the beginning where Oh, the fans not having the fans really made an impact like bull like I just don't want to get.
I don't wanna get Lakers an opportunity to say something that I have to hear the latest from progressive offseason.
Yeah, and it's It's so funny.
You said that corporate going back to where you started your there.
You sound just like my dad.
My dad is not a big LeBron fan, but every year the playoffs come and I say, Hey, he doesn't for other reasons you're talking about because he's so good.
My dad says the NBA is not gonna let LeBron loose.
I mean, they literally have the last three.
But but no, I think you make interesting point about LeBron.
It's funny because I've done the 1 80 with LeBron in the past five years.
I used to be a very anti LeBron fastball fan, but I've come to really I wouldn't call myself a huge fan.
I gave a lot of respect, got a lot of respect for LeBron and I appreciate him more than I have in the past and I kind of hate that because I feel like I almost robbed myself of, Ah, respect.
I still have him below some all time grades, but you know, we won't talk about that.
I definitely I definitely have gained a new respect for the bomb.
But I think if he gets to this ring, I think it will be very I don't think it will be.
I don't think it's the easiest one, per se, but I definitely think again.
And I I think Logan said it well on the slack chat like this year's ring will have an asterisk.
But not that it's better or worse, just different.
Yeah, and I think e think that's how it will go down in the case of whoever wants it.
But for LeBron, that would be even a bigger effect.
I think for LeBron would be more of a negative ass trace, especially with Clippers losing.
You know, the path he had to this finals, Um, like he's been through some tough for Rose, so like if they win it and they deserve it, obviously.
But, um, I feel like you're all you know either a young Heat team or a young dog team and they're playing a young Nuggets team to get to the finals.
There's gonna be a lot of critics out there that, like, already probably thinking of of ways, uh, be LeBron down for this and it's gonna be it's gonna be I go and say there's gonna be some very unfair coverage.
Whatever happened with LeBron, it was like it was like, It's gonna be like when the Warriors won in 2015 and all the coaches and everything.
Oh, they didn't play the Spurs.
They didn't play the Clippers or whatever the Grizzlies were.
You guys didn't make it.
Like what? What do you want me to say? Like we played who was in front of us and we took care of business who was on the court? That's what I think, LeBron and I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a yeah or whatever, All right, But I can already just see it now.
It's just unfair narratives that come from it, and some of them will be.
You know, some of them may have some legitimate basis, but I could go ahead, say, from just from what? Because they're gonna be skewed, You know, if you wanna point out like let's say LeBron loses in the finals.
Let's just have to say if he gets the three and seven, no one's gonna say and and and once again, this was me in the past, no one's gonna say, Wow, LeBron James really took two teams to the 10 finals.
That's incredible, was gonna create.
No one's gonna appreciate that because he lost seven times.
And while I get that, I also think that's not the coverage that needs to be had.
I'm not saying be like Nick right or someone who was just LeBron over everything.
LeBron is the greatest thing ever.
LeBron's so far ahead of everyone, even though there are times when LeBron yeah, it is so far ahead, Everyone but like but like LeBron could come out and go four for 18 from the field and have, like, 13 points, whatever and Nick are Nick Wright is still going to go down just swing.
I mean, just really trying everything.
LeBron went four of 18 because he's the best player in the league, the best player on the lake and he has no help like that's e.
That's the one thing I don't want to see.
You know what I see is funny.
It's so funny because that was the one thing you guys player got a solid bench.
Lakers should easily win this like It's so funny, though, because, um, I am still just not sold on Anthony Davis as the running mate.
Uh, I think Anthony Davis is a good player, but I think he gets severely overrated a lot.
Um, I think he put he has put up Ah lot of great numbers in his career, but as he saw a New Orleans, he can't really be that guy for a team.
And he's done well as a second option besides LeBron James.
But at the end of the day, there's not any players that wouldn't be good as a second option of LeBron James e mean, for what it's worth, e mean he was.
I mean, he Andres and they're like what? Anti Dave's did what he has always done.
He's been a great defender defense played the your candidate.
He's been a unicorn before, the unicorn for popular.
I mean, I will give him his credit as a good player, but me trying to see how that translates like in game against the Rockets.
The last game against the Rockets.
He had, like 13 and 11 on, like four of nine, right? And to me, if you're 7 ft Anthony Davis and your matchup is 65 p. J.
Tucker for no disrespect to P. J.
Tucker. He's very strong, very smart.
You know, he's not a bad defender player like you gotta eat him alive.
Meanwhile, LeBron had 29 11 at seven like it's one thing to differ.
But it's another thing to just, you know, just not do anything.
And in one of my friends is a Laker fan.
But he just also talks about this man.
His preferred expression is Anthony Davis is soft, his dog ****.
But, uh, and I have had doubts all the year about the Lakers role players, and they have stepped up like I have been surprised what Cruz was done in the playoffs before, before the public started like this is what he's gotta do it off.
He's played very well, where always that he's very comfortable.
He's played some high energy minutes.
He had to dio, he's making good plays like I'm I'll be the first one of those Cal charisma, but he's he hasn't quite well. E.
I don't care what anyone says.
I said this when I talked to Corbyn.
Rondo is a real thing playoff.
Rondo is a contributor to a championship team.
I've said that on home.
I don't think it's something you wanna fringe your team on, but like having him back, having him back is a plus and not having a negative like it's that simple.
You don't wanna build your team around that anymore.
But, I mean, that's a fact.
And then you look at I don't I don't think Danny Green is still playing that well from what I've seen.
But like he's still a championship experience.
He's got you know, this the president you can You can count on him to be open, to hit a shot.
You be there in the position, do it So I mean, dude has the finals record for threes made.
You cannot take that away from him.
It was, you know, six years ago, however, long ago.
But he did that and he still can't do that.
Even though he's in a But, like I said, he's gonna be on the court he's gonna Players were always gonna move.
He's gonna draw the defense, And that goes a long way.
Gonna take, Like, for the Lakers.
And like, actually like loses like it would take, like more than just the A D.
With LeBron playing pedestrian can get them to this championship.
So it's gonna take a collective choke toe Lose this to lose this rig.
Um, we've seen them before.
I mean, we've seen it.
We literally just saw with the Clippers collective choke.
So maybe the nuggets and coming out joking everybody so Yeah, very true.
So let me show that starts tomorrow.
Yeah, Okay. Sweet.
Go Nuggets game one day.
E mean, I will, too, because, you know, all the Lakers wake up from that.
I'm gonna get numbers.
Are they always like to go down? Was and then winning five.
You know exactly exactly what I think we're doing.
And then they come back or the Lakers take care of business.
There's a Game six.
I'm taking nuggets all the way for you.
In that respect, Assad's are Oh, boy, this is another fun one eyed man so good to be back.
Yeah, Keep going.
Um, Wednesdays at six, man.
Yeah, I'm definitely down to continue.
Like so. I would love Thio.
