baseball if you want it.
And big time golf for your golf fans out there like myself.
But to be awesome, it is gonna be awesome.
And the bad part is I don't really remember the specifics, but a weekend two years ago or so I remember Masters.
Maybe there was There was a day I was thinking of.
I can't remember what it was, but it was like that where it was just so stacked.
And I remember just kind of being giddy.
And, uh, it's nice to have Ah, weekend like that, especially, or a week? Yeah, a weekend.
Especially during these times.
I know you're talking about two.
I forget how that lined up, but I know exactly what you're talking about.
And we talked a little bit about and chat.
Tell us what you think about the weekend.
What game are you most excited for? What are you most looking forward? Thio.
I would suspect something football related, but we'll see if we have a diverse shot.
Maybe we have a diverse sport chat.
I'm a diverse sport guy.
So I am, too. And chat.
A Joey asked me that question I would have said Friday night.
Well, seven PM tip out here, I guess you know, it's like six PM Tip out here.
Lakers Game one baby Nuggets got to set the tone early, so we welcome all all sports here in the game time stream and before we hop in, you know, this is just a random topic for Max.
But what did you think about that Game seven.
Clippers? Nuggets? That was what I mean.
I thought for sure, the Clippers we're gonna win.
The fact that the Nuggets did win is crazy joke, which I like laugh every time I watch him play ball and not even because, like, he's a bad player.
But it's literally just like a seven footer shooting loon balls and throwing passes behind his head.
Uh, I don't know that I'm a Lakers guy with the with LeBron.
Feel bad for legit.
Feel bad for the Clippers because I think quiet and Paul George a good dudes.
But that was that was a choke if we ever seen one of NBA basketball.
Yeah, it was not pretty and especially, you know, led by Jamal and Jock itch.
You know, not anything against those guys.
But when you think of quiet, Leonard, this is a guy who you would watch him and he would just take over a game.
It seemed like, really, at any point he wanted Thio.
He was just kind of like sitting there shy and then, you know, he'd be like up.
I guess I'm gonna go in and, like, win it and just hit the most clutch shots constantly get to his spot, play incredible defense, and I don't know.
It seems like one off balance three from Jamal Murray around, like up 10 or up 13.
And it kind of slipped away pretty quick.
And then it was, uh, well, I guess this thing's over right in front of Doc.
One last note before we move on to the football stuff.
Yeah, it's like a tale of two stories to the Clippers Air literally built to guard LeBron and defend that defense and the Nuggets.
I think that's a dream matchup for the Lakers.
Lakers have two centers they can throw at Yokich, and they have Crusoe, the bald eagle that can literally just focus on Lee on defending Jamal Murray.
Yeah, favorable matchup, but I don't want to get too ****y.
We'll see this weekend how it plays out.
What's up, y'all? What's up? We got what up? Oh, you could see that I can Now? Yeah. I don't know what's up.
Really? Oh, interesting.
We've been looking at the submission.
I thought I had this stuff.
It's my mistake, But, hey, that's also cool.
You got to see the chat join.
McGuinness is with us.
What's up, y'all? What's up, boys? Welcome.
Welcome to the Hunt Day Wednesday Stream Brought to you by Max Brown Just gearing up for a big sports weekend, baby. A lot of good topics.
Breaking down some film tonight.
Pump for it. Full slate.
We got a little bit of a different show coming at you. Clippers.
That's what we were talking about.
That's what we were talking about.
Crazy Man Co y I mean, you're or Jay McGuinness? Who's, uh, who's your MBA squad squad? Who's the squad? Exotic GM.
Let us know the squad too.
Um, but yeah, gonna be a different stream.
Let me get back to that real quick house.
Housekeeping, where they call it housekeeping stuff for the stream, But we're going to be doing segments two segments.
Then we're gonna hop to Cem player film.
Then we're gonna go hop to more segments.
Hot back to some film rinse. Repeat.
You get the picture till Max wants to leave, and then we're out for me, you know? So, uh, that's just crazy.
Clippers choke shaking my head A We've been talking about it and you guys keep talking about it in the chat, but we're gonna hop in to the regular schedule program.
Max, talk about the decision heard around the world today.
The Big 10. Exactly.
Know, that is the talk of the town today, as I've told you guys.
Jay McGuinness Exotic Jim.
You guys know I'm West Coast.
There's a lot of pressure on the Pac 12 real quick.
Real quick, not to interrupt you. I apologize.
But Joey responded. Laker nation.
I knew you would appreciate that.
So I wanted I wanted you to know that I'm glad you did.
No, you're good.
But not its big time big time news.
And to me, I think it was the conclusion are the factor we always knew that money trumps all kinda prevailed today, and I think the president's and the chances of those Big 10 schools they folded.
That's what it waas right.
They tried toe try to set an agenda about six weeks ago.
And the money, the pressure from other conferences, the pressure from the president of our country, the pressure both financially for these schools eventually reached the point where they gave in.
And I can't say I mean, I probably would've done something similar if I was a chancellor, so I can't blame them, but interesting news to me.
It's just it's the most interesting topic is what everyone's talking about, right? It's Hey, if they have a full season, how does the timing work with the SEC with the A C. C.
With the Big 12? In terms of making a championship layout? People are making a huge deal of that like it's gonna be that the world's ending.
If the Big 10 gets a team in, I'm not like that to me.
If the Big 10 plays their slate of eight games like their allotted right now, yes, they're gonna have to less than the other teams.
But that's just a distant.
That's why you have the Human Community Committee.
Right? Is hey is an eight No Ohio State better or worse than a nine and one Notre Dame.
Make that decision.
Watch the film, make that decision.
To me, that's a very interesting factor.
The most interesting factor.
But I don't think it's like the end of the world, and I think that's why we have the committee.
And that's that's the beauty of maybe not having the BCS like we used to have.
And so interesting time admission to see how how that translates the Pac 12.
But the whole alignment of schedules and timing eyes super interesting to me.
I agree, I think interesting things.
The watch you pointed out Pac 12.
What are they going to do now on board? So much pressure is gonna come from players within the Pac 12.
You know, players at first they're told they're understandable, you know, their understanding, their reasonable.
But now they're seeing conferences where it looks like players were definitely a part of that change, right? They had impact.
They were heard to some extent.
Obviously there were money things going on, but I think it's also a reason for them to justify it is because how bad the players want to play a zoo, would I? But I think the other e one.
Another interesting tidbit as well is, uh, when you kind of dive into the weeds a little bit about the protocols.
I saw a stat that if a team in the Big 10 has a, um, what's the word I'm looking for? A.
If they have above 7 7.
5% of their team has Cove, it is diagnosed with covert at a time they can't practice for a week or, I believe, play for a week.
5% is not a lot.
That's literally let's see how my math is these days.
But you have a roster of, I guess you have a roster of 100 guys.
If eight guys get it, you're out.
And to me, that is going toe happen.
And so how does that translate? We'll see.
Maybe I read the stats wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what it says in the ESPN article on.
That means it's a head coach.
Your number one message is gonna be guys locked in on the **** quarantine.
Don't mess around, focus up.
And that's gonna be most important over filling the beat gap in a certain run run scheme or something like that.
It's gonna be make sure to keep everyone healthy, and it's, I mean, been hard enough in a bubble.
There are a bunch of bubbles that aren't bubbles.
It's just people living their normal life, and I think it's gonna be tough.
But that's the interesting thing.
I'll finish up real quick so we can move on.
But, um, if things do get shut down right and now you have the Big 10 who you know, some would say prematurely, I don't know.
Or maybe they This was their plan all along and they just wanted to wait.
And obviously, these are uncertain times.
So I don't think anybody's gonna be that tough.
But say the season does get canceled and it goes from this big thing that it's coming back to now it's getting canceled, you know? I think it makes them look a little bit different from everybody else.
What do they without a doubt? No, I'm, uh I'm right with you.
It is a weird, weird world we're in.
And, uh **** the N c a.
Could use a centralized commissioner to say the least we really could, but moving on to I mean, still a continuation of the conversation, But the sixth consolation games, uh, going on in the big 10.
No, this is, uh this is interesting.
And this is like, these are all like the side factors for sure.
And I know for me once again, being on the West Coast, the idea of a spring football season was very plausible because the weather doesn't change as much out here, right? Especially in California.
Yes, it's colder, but it's not night and day different.
We talk about the Big 10 and you start creeping into Christmas time.
You start creeping.
I mean, it turns in November, so don't get me wrong.
It's still gonna be gnarly.
When you talk about Christmas time into January, a game in the big house, you're running the rock 40 times and that game is gonna be two hours.
You're not throwing the rock much.
And so that, to me, is kind of the fun.
Part of it is how does it translate with weather on some of these rivalry games.
But, yeah, I got a look at the ins and outs of this scheduling.
It'll be fun to follow, but I think any time you have a Big 10 matchup, it'll be good.
And the the end date as it is right now, if they fit in all their games is December 20th.
And to me, that's fine, right? That's that's a couple weeks delayed from the normal college football schedule.
But if you start creeping anything past Christmas and you start creeping in the new year, then I think that's what really impacts timing.
And you're gonna have to ask these other conferences toe weight, which that's gonna be a huge ask, especially when you have other conferences, like a like who's gonna be a Cust? Maybe like a Texas who might be a cusp college football playoff team.
They're not gonna be like, Oh, yeah, we'll wait around for the Big 10 toe to join the party.
We're gonna wait.
No, they're gonna say, Screw you guys, you decided to leave.
Give us the C F P spot.
And so all those factors on timing and the consolation games and all that will be will be fun to fall.
Jim says, Come to Chicago.
Will show you called in my head.
I kind of have it.
You know, Michigan.
I think it might be because Tom Brady, right? But I see Michigan in January.
Reminds me of like a New England Patriots five.
I don't know why, but just seeing like if the big house was covered in some snow, I don't know why, but that's kind of what comes to mind.
Would be interested in your spot on an exotic GM I.
I spent new years two years ago in Chicago with negative 15 degree weather so experienced, different, like four days you're experiencing.
It sounds like where you live, so every day or every day in the fall.
But I do not envy the quarterbacks that have to deal with that weather.
And speaking of quarterbacks and Tom Brady and Michigan, I saw Dylan McCaffrey excuse me, who was potentially Michigan starter this year.
Christian McCaffrey's little brother, hey, is opting out of the season as well as Michigan's number one receiver on blank on his name right here, right now.
But the opt outs.
Those will be interesting as well, because you're seeing a flood of a few opt opt outs.
Like you, said Joey, about the Pac 12 players.
There's a flood Literally.
Every quarterback in the Pac 12 tweeted the exact same thing last night of deer get Thio.
Uh, Governor Gavin Newsom, whose California please let us play.
And like, it was a little behind the scenes there for sure, coming together.
But, uh, yeah, man, So many storylines.
So Maney intricacies Gear up, baby gear up, gear up.
We are just cruising on.
We're like a reckless Corvette in, like 87.
Just like just please start.
Please start revving the engine like every ride, your every week, every ride.
You're so grateful The thing started up.
No, exactly now, but it will be interesting.
I'm curious. Chat.
What team are we most excited about? Tow watch from the Big 10 and I'll leave you with that Max.
As we close this out and we move into some player reviews, that is a good question.
That is a good question whom I'm most excited about.
That's my job is to try to ask a question.
That's what you do. That's what you dio.
I mean, Ohio State is the cop out answer.
But I just think they are the most interesting because they could mix everything up right.
If they take one of the C F P spots, that will be interesting.
Who else is out there? Michigan State is interesting under Mel Tucker.
I did a video segment earlier this summer saying he had the hardest job in America because he really started in arch with no spring ball and, uh, does the extra time help him? Does he? How does he do in year one? Uh, and sure I'll go with the I'll go with Minnesota.
That's my final answer.
I think you got P. J. Fleck up there.
Uh, Minnesota's used to the cold.
They're used to the gnarly like kinda ugly, ugly games.
They have a great quarterback this year on.
Can they take the next step? They've been role in the past couple years.
Can they take the next step sneak in and maybe a Big 10 win or a Big 10 Conference championship? Haven't done that in forever, and I think P.
Fleck is a top five coach in college football.
Eso keep riding the Gophers.
Who knows about what's going on up there in the frozen tundra? Minnesota.
That's a hard nosed ball, hard nosed ball.
You gotta respect it from the Gophers and the chat.
We got Ohio State, my boy Justin Fields Ohio State again in a fighting a line, I shout out.
You know, Champagne, Illinois.
Champagne, champagne A.
But on the whole, everybody can agree.
Mawr Football is something to celebrate.
So, yeah, I can't see the chat.
Whoever was the Illinois guy? One of my former scout team guys when I was at S c Josh a mortar baby.
He's Illinois number one receiver, I guess.
One of their playmakers out wide. He's a stud.
Look out for him to have a big big year transferred from USC.
Look out for number nine.
So moving on and hopping into some athlete highlights in the middle.
What is this? Brand new.
You know, we're switching it up, but we can do that.
I'm clicking on the buttons.
We got Michael Jackson the third and I've used this as a reference of a great looking profile for all you people at home.
But today we're actually gonna be diving in and reviewing him.
We got a player right after a swell uh, M J three.
Are we in the chat? Where we at? Where we at? Let's hop in Desert Pines, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Max Ah, wide receiver and the cornerback.
Guess where? What do we got? Does that say it's blurry? I'm seeing Oregon.
Oh, that's right.
That's I'll leave the stream real quick. Yeah, take off.
That's the Trojans, man.
Giving some love outlook A Giving Some love.
Giving some love.
Also giving some love to Clay Helton.
Gavin Morris, Kevin More.
Hey, Gavin's The SC is recruiting guy if you wanna get offered by U S.
Kevin Morris is your guy. Really, I have.
He's a legend of the recruiting world.
He kind of He kind of runs, runs, runs things.
Yeah, he's the Southern California recruiting dude.
It's a It's a good lesson to, uh, I'll say at one point Gavin was literally like in deep with all the seven on seven leagues.
He was like the seven on seven dude in Southern California and USC is like, Alright, this guy, he knows everyone that we want to know on the recruiting front, we're just gonna hire his ass.
Excuse my language.
Sorry, but that's literally how we made it.
So for so for you guys, especially in this climate, where you're not sure how you're gonna get recruited or whatnot.
There are guys that in your communities, in your leagues in your area is your cities.
Whatever that college coaches trust that have a voice, have a platform, make sure those guys know who you are.
So when a clay Helton calls Gavin and says, Hey, I wanna who's the next who's Who's the guy that no one's paying attention to in Southern California that I should know about when I'm a Fresno State when I'm a cow looking for a last minute scholarship, those are the guys that could be difference makers for for those of you guys looking to get over the hump, no.
And we have ah, recruiting segment a little later, talking about some pro tips, and I think that was an incredibly valuable one.
And you know what I like about that, Max, is that was totally organic.
You know, we're going through the Twitter feed, and these things are valuable to know.
And these air insights that that you gain experience, that that's why we're doing this.
That's the only reason we're on here is to give those little tidbits back in any which way that we can on the highlight you.
Because because you deserve it.
But we got the Twitter feed.
Obviously, everything's in one place.
That's what it's all about.
That's what it's all about.
I think we've got to start.
I think we gotta go with the highlights.
What do you think? We got some.
We got some wide.
I'll leave it up to you. Dealer's choice.
You know, we got some wide receiver drills, route tree, some athleticism.
Best clip highlights.
Let's see what Gavin Morris is looking at himself.
Well, I guess let's just I guess I mean, we get this ad got eso.
Everybody knows this isn't our ad.
Okay? Don't yell at us.
Huddle for running ads on my highlights.
You should write a letter.
Say, where's my money name? Image like this? It's coming up.
Seriously, Cash Co contact Coach, right? Like a little highlight thing.
Nice burners, Boom burners.
Quarterback stream! Ooh, that's a Bishop Gorman, your mind.
This is the new wave in U.
C s offense will fit in there.
They got five wide like no one's business, four wide.
Most of the time, you can see why he signed the dotted line, or it's going to sound like the dotted line there.
Oh, yeah, MJ three.
He's so important when you're receivers or running your routes to Just always keep in mind that keeping these DP's guessing always running.
I mean, it's kind of a no brainer at full speed, but always have the vertical route foursome vertical allowing the foot, his hips and whatnot.
It's the way to do it.
You got some moves.
My man little wheel route in the shot.
Camera guy got him way.
No, he got in Does.
Does USC have a prototypical wide out? Do they have, you know, kind of Ah, a frame, a type of wide receiver.
Oh, that's a good question.
Um, two of them.
And I guess there you go.
I would say historically, I would say SC has made their money on bigger, more physical receivers.
You talk about juju? You talk about Mike Williams from two decades ago.
You talk about Dwayne Jarrett from a decade ago.
Um, but now they've got Mawr quicker, guys.
And that goes because of the spread offense.
So MJ three he'll fit in there big time.
But, like right now, S C s best receivers.
Simon Ross State Brown who's got a similar mold.
Thio MJ three Right here.
He's probably a little bit stock here and bigger and can withstand things.
If he left for the NFL draft would be probably second or third round pick this upcoming year.
He's hoping for a big year if the Pac 12 could have some ball so he could be a top guy.
But SCS receivers were loaded.
They have, like, four or five guys.
Tyler Vons on my favorite old teammates, another scout team guy used to play with when he was a true freshman.
Uh, he's a stud as well, but that s C is loaded.
And they've been stocking up on receivers like MJ three right here, every single, every single year in the past couple years.
And I'm gonna pause it real quick, Max, because you are watching my film again.
Let's go, King Solo.
Oh, I think we've got I think we've got MJ three in the building with us.
King Solo bottom brother.
Congrats on the commitment.
And we got Maxwell, Maxwell says.
What's up, guys? Been a minute.
Uh, Maxwell? Where you been? Maxwell? Where have you been? He's been salty, honest ever since Jalen Mill Row accidentally lost to tie Thompson in in the top 10 because he's a Texas guy is a long one guy, but he's asking who are watching.
We're watching Michael Jackson.
The third uh, you asked me, Do I think Brew McCoy is gonna get run this year? I think he will play, but I think him and Kyle forward are gonna battle to replace Michael Pittman as the fourth receiver or the the additional receiver.
Uh, we'll see that? Good question.
But we are watching Michael Jackson.
The third committed the U. S. C.
King solo in the chat, but yeah, just watching some ballers, As always, Maxwell, we have seen our fair share of awesome slot receivers.
Three is obviously up there.
But a lot of quick guys in this new age of spread offense give me MJ three, man.
I mean in the slot.
Absolute mismatch for linebackers.
We've seen us. Quickness.
We've seen a strength.
And then you were seeing a little up top well out wide Nice.
I have a feeling you're still in here at M J three.
I'm excited to see you because I have a feeling you're a lot stronger than then.
Maybe at first glance just on on basic size.
Not saying you're small, but in the slot, more shifty guys, you don't always think those guys the strongest dudes.
I've seen a lot of these plays where guys air coming in and really bouncing off your torso as you're spinning around.
Keep that up, man. Good work.
Body control, T rich in the house.
We see a big fella.
The 63207 quarterback.
I remember that.
I think he's playing a bishop Gorman.
A couple of these clips.
One of the nicest high schools in the country.
They That's why tape Martel went For those of you guys that are in the recruiting ranks deep, it's like the Vegas spot.
Unless things have changed in the since I in the past couple of years e like this, though, move them around inside outside yards after catch.
Super important dynamic.
What number is the rocking? What number is gonna line up with at USC? I don't know.
Uh, M j three Michael.
What? What number? You're gonna be rocking at USC? You may not know exactly, but what would you prefer? And U.
Has this problem. That's why I got lucky when I was there.
They have so many numbers retired.
You might miss out on your go to number if someone wins another Heisman here soon.
And they have, like, legacy numbers.
Hey, there's been, uh, superstar after superstar walk through the Coliseum.
Like what is offensive coordinator is doing to What do you like about it? Tell the people just mixing them up, right? If you know you have a stud receiver and you have like, he is the dude.
This is something that my high school didn't do, and we did find so whatever.
But for high school defense's, uh, they only can install so much, so much defense, right? And so if you're moving your best play around, it just forces guys to communicate.
It's really hard to have high school defensive backs communicate, move around, say all right.
He's in the slide. He's outside. He's to the boundaries.
To the to the wide side of the field.
Just puts a lot of pressure on the defense when they have a surefire star player.
Great catch right there. I love that.
It's one thing to operate in the slot and be shifted with your body.
But the over the shoulders and the deep threat that's that next level that honestly separates the kind of just Hey, I'm faster and quicker than you slots versus the legitimate big time receivers.
I, uh, and J three said, Hey, wanted number three, but it got retired for Carson Palmer.
Three. That stuff.
You're not the first due to miss out on three.
His coach, though, is, uh, his coach.
Feature coaches was number three right before Carson Palmer literally was the last receiver to wear it before Carson Palmer.
Old carry Colbert, former Panthers receiver.
Carrie might help you out.
I don't know. Might hook it up. Good. Dude.
How has Todd Orlando been so far for SC in practice? Questionable higher? I am.
That is a good question.
I haven't been to practice.
Given everything that's going on, I actually like the higher.
I didn't think it was a questionable higher given.
Where I see was at Tara Orlando.
I felt I got a raw deal at Texas when he got can there.
He was there for three years.
Um, and they were decimated by injuries last year, so I think any defensive coordinator would've would've struggled there, but getting some routes on air footage right here.
Yeah, some routes.
I'm doubling down on my steak of the strength stronger than I think from my end, and I'm not.
Should not have been anything but from the film.
He This is the strength.
I was guested you could tell by his lower body.
You can see it right here of guys bouncing off.
This will serve him really, really well.
Uh, looking into college.
I think there there is kind of a density as weird as that sound.
There's a density thing with wide receivers in terms of guys.
You know, to me, in basketball, I think of a guy like Drew Holiday, an elite defender.
Just a tough, dense dude.
You can't move them off the block.
You know what I mean? That's Ah, that's That's a big factor in terms of athleticism and ability to translate.
This is super interesting, too, because I'm gonna be frank with him, especially we still in the stream.
He kind of looks like I'm in raw ST Brown.
And for those you guys, I don't know.
He's kind of STD's like dude This year.
He's the stud receiver, big time recruit.
Back in the day, it kind of looks like he's built like him.
Kind of runs routes like him as well, and if he moves on to the NFL, there could definitely be a void for M J three.
Thio get some early playing time next year when his opportunity arises.
But as we're seeing here, super smooth and out of his cuts like I talked about, it's one thing to be bigger or just quicker and faster or than everyone but these these cuts right here he is that those comebacks we're seeing out route right here.
He is smooth out of those breaks, which that's what separates maybe a three or four star recruit to that four or five star recruit.
When, When? When Kind of projecting to that next level.
He says he gets it a lot in terms of that reference.
Swaggy goes to you on that e this swaggy I like it.
Got the got the earrings into showing out Michael Jackson the third.
Let me see Maxwell Maxwell recommended a guy.
I feel like we we Oh, we oh, Maxwell, though, like, you know, do a search for him.
He wanted to see Quinn Ewers film fired up.
You heard of him? I'm not Quinn viewers.
We got him here.
Is he? Uh that's so funny.
This is, uh, one of my best friends.
That's his home turf.
That's where he played high school.
My one of my college roommates, that dragon in the middle of field that it's Southlake. Carroll, Texas.
If I'm not mistaken, South Lake Carol, that's a legend.
It's the stud quarterback.
This is the number one quarterback in the class of 2022 if I'm not mistaken. Yep.
I believe he just committed to Texas.
I could be wrong on mixing up names.
That Z Maxwell had let us know that.
What is this? Highlight these air Single games.
Um, Maxwell had let us know that he, uh, Jalen Mill Road had flipped from Texas to Alabama because when Evers, uh, viewers excuse me, he committed to Texas.
So interesting it.
And that is why colleges are sometimes hesitant to offer younger guys.
I'll never forget when Washington offered me.
Uh, this is a fun story for you guys.
When Washington offer me coach, Doc, say we're gonna offer you.
But do you mind not telling anyone? Uh, right away.
And so I'm, like, super pumped right on my 15 year old kid.
I'm like, Jack out of my mind.
Don't tell anyone because we're hot in pursuit for this quarterback.
Arizona named Brent Huntley Really want to get him, but don't want toe, uh, scare them off from the youngster guy.
Obviously, Brett Huntley's in the NFL.
I I didn't make it.
So Brett Huntley did did something right.
But that was the That was the conversation back in the day of old Washington not wanting the youngster to nip the but in terms of recruiting the five, the four or five start senior at the time.
And that is the thing. That is a thing.
And there's a thing to be aware of pay attention to.
So I gotta say, I'm not I'm not angry at it.
Hey, they did what they had to dio, and I hope this is OK.
This is the type of dude I was at 15. I didn't tell anyone.
I told my family which I was allowed to dio.
I told my best friend.
So I guess I cheated there.
But I wasn't in this day and age of social media, that was I was a lock box.
I was I was a SEAL.
They totally didn't expect you to keep that secret.
E no, that's that's one thing and not to get sidetracked.
I'm sorry, but like when you're in it, it's like you don't want to disappoint the coaches, and you don't wanna do that. Don't want it.
They didn't care.
Like, I mean, they were.
They would gladly accept me being accommodating to them, but yeah, they don't care.
No, they would forget, Like, 5, 10 minutes after that.
Yeah. I mean, just like talking.
They're just they're dudes talking guys talking about.
But he probably did.
But it's good to know, man, you're a loyal, trustworthy guy.
They knew that when you're coming in, you're like, man, this guy is This guy is a trustworthy guy.
He could be in the circle, right? Ended up playing for the dude when things came full circle, like, five years later.
So hey, everything comes back around.
Let's check out.
We gotta watch this again.
Huddle. Come on.
You're killing me.
You're really killing me.
But in between that, we want you.
But we don't really want you.
They just wanted They wanted both of us right there.
Dream scenario was all right.
We'll get the hometown kid and Max Brown a couple years down the road.
We'll give Brett Huntley out of Arizona now and have ah Stacks Q B room.
But that is and we'll get into it like Joey said in the last segment of the show, if way, if times allowing.
But those are the ins and outs those of the game.
That's the game of recruiting right is kinda seeing which teams really want you.
Which teams may be giving you lip service, and that's the fine line for sure.
The game within the game.
This this kid is the talk of the town man.
This is a big time Texas high school in South Lake Carol, one of the best high schools in the past two decades.
And when it comes to football, he's a stud.
Obviously, Texas is big time, and he's first to throws.
He's showing why he's he's big time.
Yeah, I, uh, I'll be honest is the first time I'm hearing about him, but I'm intrigued and I'm gonna watch, so we'll see right away.
It Zed this comment last week.
You can tell he's naturally gifted and wired to throw the ball with touch, which is super useful at all levels to layer the ball, but I get the sense that he's got a canon of unarmed when he wants to.
We got a little flavor of it right there.
Fit in the post route, low, low and protecting his receiver for six.
But I could tell right away he is comfortable in the pocket and he wants to sit back there and throw the rock.
That was a nice It was nice to right there.
Yeah, I want to see.
I forget if he's a dual threat guy.
Obviously, Texas has had Sam Ehlinger for four years now.
Let's see. Let's see.
All right, he's got enough.
I've been feeling you might have some Cem Loki burners here, but all right.
Maybe not Vince Young.
But all the mobility you need, I can tell why people are excited about this kid.
I'll tell you what, Max.
It's getting me fired up.
How fired up you are right now.
It There's been a lot of, like, just natural dope moments today.
And I can't wait to get off this dream and text my group chat because it's like Southlake Carroll Dragons baby like that. My buddies.
So prideful of of the high school awesome that this came on today.
Tell them the whole chat is watching South Lake that last throw.
Go back to that last throw if you can.
I would move this up.
All those, all those clips or money.
That's why he's a five star, five star guy, but an out route over the linebacker under the corner.
This linebacker should pick this ball off.
This defensive coordinator is going back to this linebacker and saying, You're right there.
You're dropped into coverage.
Have some awareness. Pick this ball.
He fit it into a tight, tight window.
This is against the sideline.
This is into the boundary.
There's, like three defenders there.
And you could technically talk about 1/4 defender with the sideline being that guy, Um, that's a big That's a done that that's big time.
And those of the throws that, especially looking to the next level, makes him next level.
Yours name to remember, Queen.
I'm getting used to it right now because I feel like I'm gonna be saying it for the next four or five years, maybe.
But all right. Okay.
We can't give them too much.
We can't give them too much because you know, he's not here.
And we've got people here.
And, uh, but at the same time, Maxwell, thank you for that.
That was a pleasure watching it, and we're still going to step it up.
We'll get it to Quinn, But awesome stuff.
Love to see another Q B coming through to bring Bring back some glory.
Told you what happens to if there's d commitments going on.
Tom Herman is on the hot seat, maybe not as hot as a clear helping at USC, but he's on the hot seat.
And so usually, in my experience, find recruiting it.
If you're a Texas guy, you're a Texas guy, no matter who the head man is.
But if Tom Herman were to move on or whatever go elsewhere, how does that impact a big time recruit like Quinn? All and all interesting things to follow.
I feel like being at Southlake Carroll, and you could ask your buddy in the in the group chat, but that's somewhere there, like they're the most prideful Texans.
And to bring glory back, told you T.
I don't think for for a Texan, you know, it gets any better. Exactly.
And early playing time.
Opportunity with Ellen, you're moving on all awesome factors from an Quinn.
I'm gonna put this to the Put this to the chat and exotic Watch my Pro Day shoot.
The Link will watch the pro day right now.
But follower, baby, I was gonna ask that.
Do we want to go to back to segments or do we want to stay on athlete highlights? Max, what do you think? And then I'll hear from the chat as well.
I'm good with whatever.
If I think we had we had the H for athlete highlights last week, I can I can stick with those.
I love talking the segments.
Those are always fun, But let's go segments calf and when exotic, when exotic GM gets his pro day link over here, when, when it's natural, we'll get back.
Back to the segments will put four on the clock and Max lead us off the home field advantage.
I would say home field Met advantage matters the most in college football than any other sport out there.
I don't care if you're on PGA Tour, even NFL.
That's why I'm hesitating right now.
I'm trying to think cause I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan and don't get me wrong.
If you're an opposing team going to Seattle, that might be the one Asterix that I might might hold up a little bit.
But college football? It's for a couple reasons, right? Uh, football.
You have to communicate, right? It's 11 guys.
You have to talk to each other.
You have to have the play, the fans air right on top of you.
There's tons of fans.
There's that in play.
Also, the reason college football over NFL is NFL.
They're professionals, right? College, your these air kids, man, these air kids that are having to deal with fans on them, that crowd noise for some guys like true freshman redshirt freshman, those air young dudes that are having to get that.
And so they arm or susceptible to momentum swings and college football momentum.
We all know what we all see it.
That's a huge factor.
And so uh, yeah, I mean, you talk about going on on the the old way stadium.
Joey talked about it last week.
Joey loved it as well.
But there's a certain level of energy that works against you and works for you in college football.
Home field advantage certainly matters, but and I'll let Joey come in here in a second.
But But I will say the last week I did not think home field advantage or the lack of crowd noise was as big of a factor as I thought it was gonna be.
Um, don't get me wrong. It was still a factor.
But watching the games and seeing the players and how they operated, I still felt like there was a good amount of energy in there.
And the lack of fans and noise was not as big of a deal as I thought.
Don't get me wrong.
Still a big deal, but not as big a Zion initially thought it was gonna be.
Yeah, no, Keep going.
Then keep going.
You were on a roll. I'm not going to slow you down.
Are you kidding me? The people are here to hear your Utah, and I'm here to hear me.
I'm just the the guide, the guide through through all the bids through all the segments.
But I completely agree.
And I think on top of that, you know, I'm just going to say it.
But being in college and being at home and knowing that I'm about to play this game and then we go back to the dorms, I'm gonna go back to the house.
I'm gonna go back to the apartment and I'm gonna hang out.
There is absolutely, at least for me.
I don't know about you, but knowing that the family just knowing because you're in your rhythm, you're in kind of your whole group and just having the whole schedule the whole day in college, I would think even more than the pros.
Because you have a family, you're you're getting older.
There's more outside factors.
Your whole purpose in your job is playing sports in college.
It's kind of still, you know, you're still kind of just going through it as a student athlete.
And so I think for that reason as well, I would agree, uh, it's the It's the biggest advantage in college football, period.
And the story without a doubt.
And now I'm running through a list of sports in my head like MBA.
We're seeing it right now, the MBA bubble like it's still intense.
There's still tons energy, but it's a different ball game.
If you're saying I guess if we would have had the Lakers, Clippers, Siri's and the Clippers had to have seven road games in a row, being in L.
A like that's a that's a night and day difference than if they had to play in the bubble.
So those are interesting.
I think home field advantage in baseball is not nearly as big of a deal as NHL NHL Home home.
I respect that crowd. You can, you can.
You can spark some players up in NHL uh, baseball.
E got a hot take here in baseball.
I think it's the most individual home field advantage because if you think about, you know, maybe lefty hitter in a stadium like New York, when you even get down to the stat line, everything right individually per player for the whole team, not as much.
Yeah, no doubt no doubt. And don't get me wrong.
It's still matters for sure.
And now, as I hear you say that, like if you're in a slump and you haven't had any runs in six innings.
The crowd can definitely lift you up and be like, All right, we got this.
So definitely still a factor.
I'm trying to think in home feeling home field advantage matters in all sports with college football bucket I'm saying the most important, completely agree, completely agree.
Um, now away games in college football.
We know that we just talked obviously about home field advantage and the effect that that has.
But we also talked about away games in college. For me.
I feel like in college you're still kind of green, your fresh your new.
So you get Teoh a stadium you get to U C L A.
And you're kind of you have a certain sense of respect for it.
And, you know, it's enjoyable.
You're going to cool places that you've probably watched on TV.
Without a doubt.
I love this question.
I love talking about it too.
Yeah, we are fired up.
Today is the money dream things.
This is my favorite stream so far.
And it z already 45 minutes in its been flying by no doubt s o.
I played in three, I guess four kind of but 33 The most famous atmospheres at Virginia Tech at Oregon and, uh, sort of brain ****.
Who was the other one? Average detect at Oregon.
And come on, Max.
Oh, at Penn State.
I got them all during the day, unfortunately.
So if you had those at night time like good night that I played Penn State at night, Yeah, that beat Penn State at Penn State at night during a wide out, sold out crowd.
And I think it might have been a Friday.
So your story is cooler than mine.
Yeah, I I lost that game.
But all three of those electric electric environments, like for me, the kid and me comes out of like, those of the games you watch as a little dude.
So those were awesome.
Who was the loudest organ? That probably 55,000 is absolutely deafening.
And in Penn State, uh, they're allowed to.
But it was It was day game, so I think they go to a new level when it's kind of nighttime.
Joey having to hear snap counts comprise attest to that.
But then Virginia Tech, the coolest walk out I was in a sling actually play there. That's actually right.
When I got hurt, even it was kind of a random A C C game at that point.
But Virginia Tech enter Sandman.
I'm kind of a nerd for this stuff, like I'll go on YouTube still at 25 years old and watch.
Enter Sandman, Virginia Tech, but like that is the most hyped intro.
And I was so hyped Azi opposing fan at Virginia Tech.
When you turn the corner out of the locker room, the first retired jersey you see is Mike Vick, too.
So, like that was kind of cool.
Uh, so those environments were awesome.
Most underappreciated environment, I think, is at Washington, West Coast.
People know all about that.
They called the greatest setting in college football, and I'll agree with that.
It's on the water.
It's the Seahawk fans that all football fans know about.
Well, water Seahawk fans doing on Saturdays.
They're going to you get up games.
And so it's the same fan base on the water.
People drive their boats up to the game.
Uh, it's super loud. Their new stadium.
They have these, like stands that air angled so it literally keeps all the noise in, um did that environments awesome? And the most underrated environment ever played in is at Utah.
The youth you You get him on a Friday night and everyone in the Pac 12 gets up for USC.
But Utah, those people go crazy for their football like, Hey, let's let's let's call it out is Utah.
There's not a lot of party and going on in Utah because of some stuff going on, so they get up for Utah football.
And no, it's a dope setting, for sure.
No, you gotta get up for something and nothing better to get up for than some youth football, baby.
But no, I love we're both nerds about this because I love stadium so much stadiums are there was growing up.
I was the biggest Penn State fan.
My uncle would hey got his doctorate degree and was a professor at Penn State.
Eso I remember like, you know, my dad's identical twin brother, so I'd go up and visit and we go to Penn State games and then, you know, even being there to walk through it the day before or whatever was just kind of like, Oh, my goodness, this is This is crazy.
I'm glad you said that.
That walk the walk through it the day before we did the same thing.
A pit, the coolest walk through.
I did in college, Like outside of where you're at setting wise, just literally walking through that.
And just like this is college football like that was that was awesome. 100%.
That was the first time to me you could, like, feel the history.
And I think I said that that day I was like, You could, like, feel the history here. It's it's crazy.
And then we played them in Ireland, too, but nothing like being at their stadium.
Um, I know the segments run out, but I love this topic.
So I'm going to give a couple that were my faith.
Um, I love I love when you say underrated, because I was I was listening to some athletes.
I think it was JJ Red**** or something.
He was saying, There's always like the famous and recognize things, But then there's like the things that Onley really the athletes would know about.
Like some sports and topics and the underrated places is like, I I totally I totally agree in terms of, like, you know, just, uh the concept of an underrated kind of atmosphere and and stadium.
But let me see if I have to rattle off a couple.
Um, and I think this is totally cheating, but I'm gonna say it because, you know, whatever.
But the Fiesta Bowl that wasn't in away game Technically, it waas.
But for me, that was kind of like that.
That was one of the most incredible experiences, really, The whole Fiesta Bowl experience.
Um, but that game was like, Thursday night prime time.
I think it's the like, still the most watched Fiesta Bowl ever.
Even including that Boise State crazy Statue of Liberty.
So that that was crazy.
Just from, like an experience standpoint.
Away stadiums, though, Man, I'll tell you, my underrated one is East Carolina.
The pirates, uh, the old land of once upon a time, Gardner Minshew.
What? They're set up like, Hey, So this is what they dio.
This is their thing right here are, But it's in Greenville, North Carolina.
And when you stay there, you're staying at like a bed and breakfast.
It's kinda It's kinda cool.
It's kind of cool.
Usually you're in like a standard Helton or something, but, well, you got something better, but yeah, running in the boys in the back.
And that's That's another segment.
We should dio the worst, best and worst, like housing set ups for the away game.
It's a surprise, you guys. My answer.
I'll give a little sneak peek Notre Dame.
Okay, Notre Dame awful.
I could see that, though.
Yeah, see, But, uh, chat.
This is what you need to know is what you see is what you get when it's like old historic college or even like a duke, and then you go there.
It's like, Oh, you know, this is like older in that story.
You know what I mean? Like, yeah, yeah, you gotta You gotta have your away games, like in Los Angeles, where my home games were, because then you get some some big time hotels.
But then I guess, as I say that we started a hotel the night before games, so we were staying at the Manhattan Beach Hilton or whatever.
So no complaints on my end, we can also get into the Friday night meals.
I'm sure you have some stories.
Uh uh, a zone offensive lineman taking advantage of the full buffet or whatever.
I don't know what you're set up was, but I'm sure it was sure it was nice.
Should I get into it? We're talking too much.
This should be future segments.
I feel like this should be future segment.
This is gold, Scotty.
Let's hold onto those for the next next stream and do, like one final breakdown.
One final breakdown.
I know exactly who I'm going to.
It's gonna be a pro day.
Uh, it is exotic gm exotic GM, Giovane, but J butts, baby JJ, but let's check it out.
Oh, this is awesome.
So we've seen his highlights a couple times.
The swaggy fit where we go, Waguih fit looking Cut to the tank to Bill.
I see you show all right not to go.
Know that? E love it.
I can tell you, I did not have this wagon high school.
So you already, uh, give me like the eyes.
Let's start that from the beginning.
It's some little right.
It's not pretty groundbreaking to you, Javon, but it shows a lot of the coaches.
It shows that you know what really football is.
You're not going to just go to that guy straight away every single time, right? You're displacing linebackers.
You're asking them to shift over your opening up that window for yourself, which routes on air.
You didn't have to do that.
But you did, because you know real football and you're showing the coaches that you're wired as an elite quarterback should be.
You know, I like that.
You follow the directions.
You were seeing your leadership.
We're seeing your, you know, your aura on the field.
That's just a much a part of this, as you know, edited clips, if you throwing the ball.
In my opinion, yep, it's got a quick release to like I was getting the ball out of his hand quickly.
I also love how you're having Buddy snap to you.
Little things make a big difference for me.
It's forcing you to operate as a real life quarterback, versus we've seen some tapes that just they haven't done that and that matters to me. Oop.
All good. Let's see how you respond.
Let's see how this next throw is.
My favorite is the friend just walking back and forth reading the script.
His placement of it.
Guys that we have talked about briefly on the stream and I guess we had Trent on the stream.
But Trent Joey who? Joey Roberts.
We both know they are huge on how you respond after incompletion.
They weirdly I don't put words in their mouth.
They almost want to CNN completion Just toe have the data point of Alright, how did you respond so? And they're not alone on that with coaches, right? It's never gonna be perfect.
It is never, ever, ever perfect out there under under center.
How could how do you respond? So good work there.
Good work there. Nice throw there.
Some touch showing the arm strength that popped off on the film to the ability for the ball to jump off your hands showed right there as well.
Giovanni, I want to know where the buddies at.
Are they on the chat right now? Okay, I thought that was happening.
Go back to my man here, rocking the one air pod.
Just I think it was like last play comes there.
We'll get air pod right here. Just one.
Just one air pod can wait.
That Z stuff right there, Giovane.
Let let Air Pod now way.
Want to review his film? We want him in the chat.
Put one in and check us out on Twitch.
They chillin Loki.
Tell him to get high key with us.
Slot scene inside by receiver on four birds.
I like this squad.
They've got some players.
Another great job with your eyes.
My man didn't catch the rock, but another good job looking the safety off, you're You can tell your smooth man there is not any glaring like, Oh, you're missing this.
You can tell your coach.
Well, that's his boy.
Devante James, Tell Davante we said What's good, Javon? What? I Oh, that's a nice throw right there.
What I want to know is are you guys just texting each other and saying, Hey, let's go do this.
Let's go get working because this fires me up man, This gets me excited.
You're taking time out of your day.
You and your buddies, they're going to the field.
And this is valuable tape.
And I love that you're taking time to do this. Thank you.
But little coaching point here in your drop, you are fundamentally sound. You're perfect.
I would love to see a little bit more urgency with your drop.
Because when you have a real life offensive line up there when you're taking a five on time of five, no hitch and this ball has got to get out.
I don't think you have time, especially if we see another clip here on your third step.
I don't get the sense that there's a sense of urgency And you don't need me in a rush.
Don't be in a hurry.
Don't be out of all sort of out of whack.
But I'm I would love just a beat Mawr quickness Because I know you're quick.
I've seen it. I know you're fast.
I would love thio.
See a little bit more of that in your drop as a as a cube evaluator.
Valuable info from Max.
This is why we watch the tape.
Oh, that was a laser, though.
It was telling the arm strength is there 100%? You're gonna see that laser again? Oh, I love this Joey jmc Guinness shorten an exotic GM toe ex GM.
I love that we got nicknames for each other in the chat.
This is how you get more footage.
Exotic GM have your receivers, but they're highlights on here we break down your receivers.
Oh, by the way, we're also looking at you.
Hack the system.
My crew puts in that work every day.
I love it a share, more videos.
Put more videos on your game time profile and we'll keep watching, I'll tell you that.
Little things that clip right there.
Do that in the first two clips of you guiding your receivers and showing them where they should route run their routes where they should break, because that shows me leadership.
That shows me that you're not afraid to tell your friends and your buddies what to do and not every quarterback will do.
That doesn't mean you need to be a boss or like a bossy or a **** or anything like that.
But if you have leadership and your guys respect you, which I get the sense that they dio show that early to evaluators two coaches.
Because once again, I'm telling you, play with a lot of quarterbacks.
Not every quarterback has the ability to do that.
The great ones do 100%.
And so show that little subtleties in your film.
Jordan Mills says.
It's fun and we have dreams.
I love that. Go chase those dreams.
Go put in the work.
Put in the work.
What position is my man here with the clipboard put exotic jam when What we got? Yeah.
What is What is clipboard? What position did you play? Get some routes.
I need this kid's footage.
We need it. We got his name. We got his name.
That's right, Monty.
You need to be a leader and get your boys in the group chat on the stream and need to get them with game time profiles.
Give them the upload, their film because we want to check them out too.
Oh, yeah, I knew I liked this squad, he said.
Javon said his man plays linebacker.
That's exactly how I was in high school.
One of my best buds linebacker would come to the routes and just hang out with us, and he would do exactly that.
Just, you know, help out the squad.
That's valuable. Yep.
So if I was the center, I would snap, you know, did all the time.
I would just come out and snap and get my things in, and I would bring a defensive lineman.
I'd usually bring out a freshman, and I would just they would know after weights, like one of the defensive lineman's got to stay with May.
It's kind of weird, but, you know, Yeah, I'm like, Hey, you, you You said that we had Marcus Martin who? Uh, I think you still May NFL or he just retired.
But he was transitioned to center when I was a true freshman.
And so he I knew that he wanted me to stay after every practice so he could get snaps in.
So he took the freshman quarterback and I was cool with it, right? I had to make the adjustment from a shotgun quarterback to go under center.
I'll take the reps with the veteran offensive lineman and get on his good side.
Uh, Joe McGinniss really wants some recruiting advice. Next.
It's 902 there's no basketball tonight.
We're telling what way could go to recruiting some recruiting stuff? Excuse me.
Hey, this is the flow of the stream right now is out of control chat.
Tell us you know what you're thinking.
But this is, uh this has been a great stream we've enjoyed.
It s oh, thank you for hanging with us, but recruiting.
Give us, um, pro tips and Giovane.
Great work, man. Awesome stuff.
Tell your friends, upload their stuff, will watch all of them.
But leave us with some recruiting advice for John McGinnis.
Yeah, I think it would be kind of devil's advocate here a little bit, but the virtual visits, they're awesome.
They are great to get an inside in your programs.
Great to contact coaches, but I would be very wary as a high school recruit of not getting enamored with just the video tours with just how the weight room looks with just all the fancy stuff, the uniforms and all that.
And be sure to ask some of the tough questions that are easier to do in person when you have that one on one time when you are going to lunch with the coach, when you are just shaking the coaches hand that you might not get that opportunity to dio with the virtual visits beat, make sure to at least keep that front of mind and thes video footage is what game time? What we're doing is game time is great and it's an awesome resource.
But keep in mind that it's not every piece Thio the pie kind of thing.
And so I leave it, leave you with that, and I also I like what we talked about earlier in terms of in this new age of recruiting, which I don't know exactly how it's gonna pan out.
We literally just talked about the Big 10.
Conference is not is supposed to end on December 20th.
I believe early signing day last year was December 19th, like something's got to give their like I don't know what that's gonna look like so I would just make sure you are utilizing every resource possible that you have because the reality is a lot of guys.
We're not gonna do that.
A lot of guys gonna say, Oh, I'm screwed.
I don't have a season.
Uh, it's not a normal season.
I don't know what to dio, but if you are a guys says all right, this is the hand I was dealt.
Let me see what I could go do and call and get linked up with the big recruiting guy in your era, our era, or get linked up with your high school coach who has some free time now that you might not be playing as much or something like that.
I know every state's different, but just don't lay off the gas with your recruiting, especially if you are a cusp guy.
And like we like, we've talked about a bunch utilized game time.
Utilized resource is Thio.
Just get your footage out there and if you're working out anyways, like we just saw what Javon film it, you never know what what that could do.
My best, Bud, the guy that's gonna be the best man at my wedding got offered by Eastern Washington off a shorts and T shirt.
YouTube bid that he asked the kid in this video production class.
Hey, can you mind staying after and just holding the camera and help me out? I threw for him.
He pieced it together and I exaggerate a little bit.
That was one of the resource is that helped him get offered, but it literally literally leave a t least help.
So take advantage of everything that's out there.
I love it. I love it. That's great advice.
Um, Jordan Mills dropping his YouTube.
George, we're gonna have to check you out next time.
We are going late.
This is late night stream.
Technically 906 we just I feel like the disco lights or whatever.
Got to come out.
This is late late night GMT em right here, but recruiting advice for you Eyes be as active as you can and get your stuff out.
Get it out, get it out.
Where a platform.
We're trying to do stuff.
