All right, way our live.
What's going on, everybody? My name is Kyle.
And welcome to the slate, a new DFS show.
We're on Week two Episode six I believe episode five or six so thank you guys.
So much for joining.
And today we're gonna be talking running backs, um, for draftkings DFS slate for Sunday.
There is 13 games this week for the Sunday that is excluding the Thursday the Sunday evening and then the Monday game.
All right, one second.
Get this pushed out real quick, and we will start talking running back special go over some player news that came out today regarding specifically running backs.
Anything else we find interesting to share out to the world That is important to RDF stakes for the day.
So one more second hand, we will get going.
Good news, though, is actually what is top right into it.
Let's talk about news for today.
So far, it looks like my old Sanders practice today.
He is on track to play for Sunday, so that is really good news.
They play against the Rams.
Who, if you watch the Sunday night game, um, play, you know, Zika, I'll let you know, played really well, did okay on the ground.
I think 22 carries for 93 yards, so that's something to keep an eye on.
Unfortunately, didn't see Boston Scott last week and do his thing.
But you know, Miles Sanders practicing? That's a That's a very good sign.
UH, James Connor.
His ankle injury.
He did not practice today, so we will have to monitor that Benny Snell, which is a guy that I'll talk about a little bit later.
Some of the values that you need to watch later on in the week he's priced at 4500 right now.
He looked phenomenal after having a really good camp and all the coaches talking him up.
So he may be a guy to keep an eye on ast faras running backs.
Crazy Marlon Mack Get put on IR so you can fire up those Jonathan Taylor shares.
I think it's gonna be very good. Safe PPR floor.
But yeah, as far as running backs, that's it.
We will talk wide receivers on Friday, so I'll save all news then and what kind of go over the quarterbacks and running backs a to Friday Saturday.
At that point in time, so s so, Like I said before, we're covering the DFS slates for draftkings.
They are the Sunday slates.
There's two of the big ones that air featured.
One is a $20 buy in with a million dollars to first place.
The other one is a $3 buy in with 200,000 the first place, so I'll be putting a little bit of both in one.
The cool thing about the, uh, the $3 buying is it's only a 20 entry limit, so that's very good.
It kind of knocks down the variance a little bit for those people who just, you know, want to throw the max.
I think last week it was the $5.
I think the max you could do is like like 100 or something.
I mean, so it was a ridiculous amount of entries.
You know, a lot of variance in those big ones, but so for the $3.
1 I think we'll Seymour of the the people that put the homework in.
I think you'll you'll definitely get your money's worth this weekend.
Someone hopefully wins, wins a big.
So let's go ahead and dive right in and start talking Running backs.
I'm gonna hit over these two my favorite ones real quick, just because, um, like they're the top to your players that zika all the versus Atlanta and Derrick Henry against Jacksonville.
I'm not gonna spend a whole lot of time on them.
All I'm gonna say is put them in your lineups if you can't afford it.
So if you know, news comes out that certain players like if James Connor is gonna miss and you can throw Benny smelling, there's your RB two to pair with Zika Henry, you know, definitely do that.
I'm trying to get these guys, you know, in 50% of my lineup.
So where I have at least Zika or Henry in half of my line was because Henry's playing Jacksonville last week.
You saw he had 31 carries on Monday night against the Denver Broncos for 116 yards.
He actually had three targets on Lee 15 yards.
What? We've seen him take those targets on a screenplay and take you for a 60 yard touchdown.
You know, he's process the RV four.
So when you're talking Christian McCaffrey, a 10,000 Barkley at 84 then you have zika 82.
You know he's priced at 79 so he's not at a discount.
But he's at a manageable figure where you can put him in your lineups.
Um, and if you look at what they did last week, you know, Jonathan Taylor didn't look great on the ground here.
4 yards per carry on his limited work.
But he had six receptions for 67 yards, Heinz average four yards on the ground and Matt in his, You know, his six carries or eight carries or whatever was average 6.
5 yards per carry.
So it you know, it's Jacksonville.
You're gonna be able to run on them, and this team wants to run the ball.
Ryan Teen healthier at 46 times against Denver.
I just don't think that's gonna happen.
So, you know they're gonna wanna is even split as you can.
So you could see 32 carries and 32 pass attempts in a game like this, where you know, Tennessee should win, But you know, I thought the Colts were gonna steamroll Jackson the last week.
So we'll see then, then is equally against Atlanta.
I just got the feeling watching that Sunday night game, but they wanted, like last year was definitely, you know, was Dax year, his real coming out party of like like I get talked to your passing quarterback and the top tier quarterback in fantasy.
But watching that game, I just felt like they really wanted to get sick involved.
He had 96 yards, he had 22 carries.
That's pretty pretty standard for him.
Had four targets, and that's really good is the targets because the average 3.
44 receptions per game last year.
So if you can get at least those 34 receptions, get those targets in the four or five Ranch.
I think you're gonna be very happy.
He had one receiving one rushing touchdown.
So, like I said, I'm kind of done talking about them right.
There's Eacott 8200, as the RV three and Henry Jacksonville's are before.
I'm trying to get those guys in my lineup impaired with some of these cheaper guys. If I can.
So I'm gonna double down here on the guy that I really liked.
I was like he was a mid tier guy over someone I like, and I'm gonna double down on him.
And I liked him a lot this week as well.
That's Erin Jones against Detroit.
He's pricing a 71 100.
So about 800 cheaper than their Kennedy here before you pressed the r B seven.
So, you know, Vegas or Draftkings.
You know, whoever you want to take your over over unders from, You know, they believe that what they saw Mary Rogers and what they saw from Matthew Stafford is true.
And they think it's gonna be a high scoring game, one of the highest scoring over unders of the week.
You know, I'm looking at the Detroit defense, and I just think the narrative is gonna be Aaron Rodgers is going to tear this defense up, and I think he's going to have a solid game.
But I just I think it's going.
He's just Aaron Rodgers, this price too high for me, which is why I faded him in my quarterback episode yesterday and why I'm liking Erin Jones because that already seven Montgomery, who was a fine okay runner last year, like four yards per carry, its 64 yards on 13 carries.
Tariq Cohen had 41 yards on seven carries, so they were tearing up this defense overall.
You know, I think we can expect Erin Jones to continue the market share that he was getting.
You know he had 16 carries for 66 yards, had six targets, which led running backs.
You know he has his 16 rush attempts to the 12 for the rest of the field so that A J Dillan fear is not coming true.
Maybe later in the year, he might get more involved.
Jamal Williams was just kind of there on passing downs, but Erin Jones got everything on the ground, and that is fantastic.
So I think what we can expect here is, you know, Erin Jones just needs one, right.
He needs one big run.
If you look at the place from last week, if you watch that Packers game, Aaron Rodgers had ah one yard passing touchdown in a five yard passing touchdown.
Those easily could have been handoff.
So I'm just I'm banking on the talent of a guy who was second in the league last year in fantasy and who had, I think, like, 16 touchdowns or something like that, something crazy and outlandish.
But I could see it again, you know, happening double digit touchdowns, because I think this Detroit defense is really bad.
They got Tora by mental Robiskie, which is very embarrassing.
And then you look at Aaron Rodgers and what he did, they're gonna have to try to stop the past.
Like if I think they will let the running game kind of develop.
And that's where I'm hoping Aaron Jones takes advantage.
So let's move on to my next guy Here.
It's Jonathan Taylor versus Minnesota.
The only reason I'm mentioning Jonathan Taylor here.
He's gonna be a pretty highly owned guy, but it's worth it because he's priced at RB 16 at 5700 and then he's playing against Minnesota.
And as I start bringing out these stats in these next couple of guys, you'll notice that we're talking about almost the same couple of players of like well, this this guy did it versus this team, and now they're playing this guy.
And so bear with me here.
But trust me, you know the stats. All interchange.
If you look at what Jonathan Taylor last did last week against Jacksonville, didn't do so great on the ground but has six receptions on six targets for 67 yards.
That was the major concern.
Philip Rivers is who we think he is.
He's just going toe throw the ball to the running backs.
He's going to throw the ball into the line of scrimmage.
That my Paris Campbell had such a phenomenal game.
That's why I thought Jack Doyle was gonna have a better game than he did.
But all those targets just went to Campbell in the running backs.
Six targets for him, you know.
And then you look at the overall when you count Mac and his three targets that he had in Hinds and the rest, the running backs had 17 of the 46 targets, and now there's no max, so I can see a true 50 50 split.
And those two touchdowns that name Heinz got yesterday, yesterday on Sunday.
I could you know, that could be Jonathan Taylor.
That easily could have been Jonathan Taylor out there.
And now that Jonathan Taylor proves that he can, you know, work well in the open field as a viable pass catcher, I could very much see him, you know, having a big blow up game this year.
If you look at what happened last week against the Packers, they allowed 141 rushing yards to the running back position Indies favored by three.
Which e think Minnesota is gonna win the game? So it's kind of odd that they have, you know, Indianapolis favorites.
They must know something that I don't know, but you know, and it's going.
It's 40.5 over under.
So I think you know Jonathan Taylor is gonna get, you know, 15 16 carries.
And if you can see you know, the 456 targets that he saw last week, you know he's a top tier athletes sake.
Want Barkley top tier athletes at the running back position, so I'm firing them up.
Like I said, if you get sick and Derek entering your lineup, compare him with a guy like Jonathan Taylor.
I think you're gonna be pretty happy with the outcome, talking so much, making my mouth dry.
That's why it's nice to have a co host on Saturday where I can take these breaks.
All right, all right.
Another guy that I don't.
It's hard for me to buy into David Montgomery, but, you know, I kind of talked about him with Erin Jones a second ago.
But I like this price at 5600.
He's right enough. Jonathan Taylor at RB 17.
I'm seeing something in coming off the growing injury, right? We weren't sure if he was gonna even start the season and he looked pretty good.
Like, I'm not gonna lie like I was a little impressed by what he was able to do.
They play the New York Giants.
Have you watched that Pittsburgh game against New York? You know, James Connor didn't do very well, but he could have been injured on, like, the very first play of the game.
But Benny Snell 113 rushing yards on 19 attempts.
Benny Snell looks really good.
David Montgomery looked pretty good and and for the Giants, you know, I could very well see this being a back and forth game where they like.
If you look at what the Bears want to do, I think they want to control the clock and not put Mitchell Torbinski in a position toe.
Lose the game, even though he looks great last week.
Um, and you hear the whole Allen Robinson thing about him wanting a new contract and not being happy.
But he's he's happy to be in Chicago.
He's not happy with the situation, you know, I don't I don't know how much they wanna put on. Travesty.
Um, they could force feed Allen Robinson.
Totally take away this David Montgomery play, but I like David Montgomery a lot.
He had 64 yards on 13 attempts and he had three targets.
Now Tariq only had two quarter I'll Paterson.
I just get him off the field, but he only had one.
So the fact that Montgomery essentially led the running backs with three targets That's something that we knew he was going to get the 250 carries.
We weren't sure if he was gonna get the targets.
And so three targets.
You know, that's that's nothing to just blow off.
You know, that's good so that he's at least getting involved and coming off the potential injury out of training camp.
So I think, like I said, they're gonna want to control the clock.
Their defense is decent enough where they might get some Daniel Jones turnovers just because he's pronto throw some interceptions, some boneheaded interceptions.
But I like him a lot at his price.
This is a guy that's maybe gonna be in, like, you know, 10% of my lineups.
I'll probably throw him in 12 maybe three lineups and just kind of gets, um, you know, some variants on him because he could blow up for a big game.
If if the cards, you know, kind of go the way we think they will cards, I don't know, ignore me on that.
My last running back.
I'm gonna talk about that.
I'm kind of buying into.
Here's Ronald Jones vs Carolina.
He is priced at 5200 as the R B 20 on this is totally based on the Carolina defense.
You know, we can look at first at first the second half, but Josh Jacobs the first half had 56 yards, averaging 5.
1 yards a carry in the touchdown.
He was torching Carolina.
They had to tighten up a little bit.
They slow them down a little bit in the second half.
Only 37 rushing yards but two touchdowns and one of them was a beautiful six yard rushing touchdown at the end of the game to win it.
So I like Ronald Jones.
He led the running backs and targets, so no LaShawn McCoy, Derek Google has gone.
Leonard Fournette hardly saw the field.
He had five carries for five yards.
He just did not look good.
You know Bruce Arians? He's really hard on the coach speak, but he said, Ronald Jones is our guy, and so I kind of have to believe that this when you give him 17 carries for 66 yards and the thing about Ronald Jones is, you can say what you want about him.
But if he gets an open field on breaks a big play, that guy's gone, you're not catching him.
So he's very athletic, someone I really like a lot.
He easily could have had the touchdown on the one yard line where Brady went in for the quarterback sneak.
So you know, if he has that touchdown.
It's It's a completely different game that we're talking about for Ronald Jones.
So I just I like him for the price of the 20th running back and against Carolina.
Who I think you just start your running backs, unfortunately, has to be Ronald Jones to speak.
You know, maybe maybe Ronald Jones has a bad game and kind of gives you that sneaky play Week three.
But whoever you're like, the running back is playing against get Carolina's defense.
You need to be throwing him into some of your lineups in that RB to flex range because they could, you know, easily blow up for a big game, and no one's going to stop them.
So I got a couple guys here.
These are guys that are on the cheaper in someone that if you're trying to put Christian McCaffrey or Barkley or Z and Henry, these guys and you have some other wide receivers and quarterbacks, you like that, you can try to throw into your lineup.
The first one is cam makers.
He's priced at 4500 place Philadelphia.
I don't love the matchup against Philadelphia because they basically shut down that Washington running game last week, but he saw 14 carries for 39 yards.
He had a target.
He was pretty inefficient.
But you can see how all it takes is a breakout game, right? And I like Malcolm Brown.
You know, I like the story of him.
You know, coming in and working hard is a veteran, and now he's really showing out looking really good.
But, you know, can makers can easily, you know, siphoning touchdown away.
So he's one that I like it 4500, and then you have Benny Snell.
He's priced at 4500.
If you know a lot of you don't have to worry about these guys practicing on Wednesday, and I mentioned it earlier in the show.
But you know, the Wednesday practices, you know, guys get those rest days.
But if he doesn't practical on Thursday, and then if he doesn't practice on Friday, you know, just fire up Benny Snell because even then James Connor is going to be limited and he has it, you know, they have a decent match up, and but he's priced at 4500 along with those guys and they're playing Denver.
We saw the Denver couldn't do against, you know, Derrick Henry.
Derrick Henry ran all over them, you know, had over 100 yards.
So I like many smells like a cheaper play, but that's something you have to wait and see.
That's why I don't really create my lineups until, you know Saturday when I get all the information that I can.
That way, I'm not going back and, you know, going through 20 lineups trying to figure it out.
And then the last guy, I'm gonna go over its Antonio Gibson again.
And the only reason I mention Antonio Gibson he was.
He was really underwhelming Week one, and I actually kind of forgot about him as I was going through these 4000.
He surprised at 4300, so his price jump isn't too big.
He's playing against the 40 Niners who allowed, you know, 95 receiving yards, three most who had that big receiving touchdown.
So I like the potential upside but again, 10% of lineups.
You know, I wouldn't throw him in a ton.
This is more of a flex play like if you really want to get Christian McCaffrey in at 10,000.
This is the guy.
Offset the price at 4300.
Um, I just think athleticism.
Eventually his athleticism is gonna win.
Eventually, he's going to get into that starting job, and they're gonna be tired of Peyton Barber and his 2.
8 yards per carry.
But until then, you know the pricing is gonna be low enough.
You're gonna have to catch the Gibson game, and that's that's the unfortunate part.
You're not really gonna be able to predict it unless Gibson just has an injury.
Uh, Barbara has an injury.
You're gonna have to just kind of throw Gibson in your d efs line ups every now and then.
You know, I would I would do one or two a week, and hopefully it pairs with the rest of your lineup.
That's gonna go off, because eventually Gibson's gonna have a blow up game where he has over 100 yards and two total touchdowns.
And then this price is gonna jump into that 6000 range.
Most likely eso Until then, You know, you you just you just put him in and then look away.
Um, some other guys, I guess we could go over some of my fades.
Usually I try to wait till Saturday to go over here.
But some of the guys I'm fading, um, at their current price.
E don't like Clyde Edwards aware matchup against the Chargers.
I don't really know what toe take of it.
They shut down Joe mixing.
He didn't get any targets last week.
You know his pride.
He's sandwiched between Erin Jones at 7100 and Dalvin cook at 7600.
And James Robinson actually looked, you know, decent against that Indianapolis defense with that I thought was gonna be a lot better against the run.
So, you know, I think if you're trying to put Clyde Edwards a layer into your lineup, and if you look at this pricing it, it's really Do you think he's going to get the 25 carries, like, do you think because they're gonna probably shut down the charges like that defense is gonna shut the charges down? So do you think that he can get through that charters defense and give you that pricing? Because if you do, then he's had a pretty good price blowed out and cook.
But that's where I'm kind of drawing the line.
I'm not gonna have a ton of Clyde Edwards whole earlier this week until they kind of show me that they're going to give him at least more than two targets like you got to give him something for him to be valuable.
And obviously 6800 for James Connor relied on James Connor pretty much.
If he doesn't practice Thursday, I'm done.
If he practices Thursday and he's healthy by Friday Saturday, I'll throw him in on Lee because of the Denver matchup.
Um, Austin Eckert, 6500 until they, you know, put Justin Herbert in or they start targeting him, putting them out, why they actually force feed him in some screens, which they could do this week.
I'm just going to avoid that and then one other guy that I don't really know what to do with and I'm I'm pretty much avoiding and it's It's the Bills backfield with Devin Singletary, ANZAC Moss because it's unfortunate.
Devin Singletary is priced at 5200 and you would assume he would be the past catcher.
But Zach Moss actually kind of took over that role, and he's priced at 4800.
But you know they have a decent matchup against Miami, but I'm all in on Josh Allen.
I think Stefanek is gonna have a real blow up game this week because John Brown is I'm practicing and I'll probably talk more about digs on Friday.
But you know, I'm avoiding that backfield until further notice.
And same for Boston.
Scott like, if Miles Sanders doesn't play, I don't know if I want to throw Boston Scott in there.
That will be another guy in that Benny Snell cam makers area that we'll have to watch and wait for injuries.
So all right, guys.
Well, thank you so much for joining me today.
Um, pretty quick episode only 20 minutes.
Uh, talked quarterbacks yesterday.
If you want to go back and talk about, you know, listen on that, um some of the guys I was talking about Josh, Allan Keiler, Murray Jared Golf.
You know, I think there's a lot of good matchups and good pricing for some over Ohio runners for the match up this week on Then.
Today I talked about Z versus Atlanta.
Derrick Henry versus Jacksonville.
Erin Jones vs Detroit, Jonathan Taylor against Minnesota David Montgomery against the Giants and then Josh Jacobs or Don Josh Jacobs.
Ronald Jones vs Carolina Who Josh Jacobs torched on Sunday.
So thank you guys for sticking around with me.
We're getting better at this, um, fifth episode in so thank you guys.
And thanks for too **** 56 for the tip.
And hopefully we can get some guests on here starting next week.
So I'm really excited about DFS and way this is going so thank you guys so much.
We will see you Friday.
