What's up? Our body today.
We're gonna switch it up a little bit.
I know we talked a lot of football yesterday here on Jigsaw, sergeant, but today we need to talk a little basketball Wednesdays.
I'm gonna use Wednesday's.
It's to change things up from time to time to transition from football to either basketball or baseball.
And today we have to talk about our Philadelphia 70 Sixers.
We have to figure out what is actually going on with this team.
Uh, I have to ask.
You know, obviously we are all talking about the head coaching search we're all talking about who will be the next coach off this team.
Well, I have to ask, What is the infatuation with Mike D'Antoni? That's I have to ask.
And the reason why I said, Listen, I'm a fan of like D'Antoni's offense, but for all the people that swear that all of a sudden that Mike D'Antoni is gonna come into this team and automatically make Ben Simmons a different style player, I just I I don't see it happening now.
I have my own theories.
Excuse me about why you know that the Tyronn Lue talk was basically smashed.
Okay, I'll be honest with I think there is a power struggle going on right now in the front office.
Uh, you know, with with the owner and or owners, I should say, Josh Harris and Elton Brand.
I really think that, you know, Elton Brand may of jumped the gun and automatically hits his wagon, the Tyronn Lue.
And I think right after that I think what happened was, you know, ownership stepped and said, Whoa, pump the brakes Here were that's not That's not that we didn't talk about this stuff guy we wanted.
So I think there's something going on internally, which is why we haven't really heard too much.
But now Keith Pompeii, who is a a highly respected reporter beat reporter for the Philadelphia 70 Sixers in Philadelphia, is saying, That's Mike D'Antoni's job.
You know, I I mean, listen, uh, Mike, What's up, Mike? Good morning, jigsaws Judgment.
I haven't follower.
I appreciate it, Mike.
Always checking in Mike E.
V. And he asked a question.
I was asking last night when I watched the Denver game with the Clippers.
Is Doc on the hot seat now? Another collapse that's not good, Doc Rivers.
That's not a good listen.
That team looked lost last night.
They got punked by young team.
And I'll tell you what.
Say what you want.
Kauai, Paul, George.
They gave up, They packed it in in the fourth quarter.
I mean, it was ridiculous.
Some of the shots, everything went up hitting side of the backboard.
I mean, they got they got the punk card handed to him last night.
They really did.
I'm a very, very, very avid follower.
All the Denver Nuggets seen.
I really like Denver.
And I'll tell you what Denver is another reason why I get so upset when we talk about the Sixers direction.
Because I just feel again with with the Sixers, you know, I'm upset.
I Am I watching the guys like Jason Tatum last, like bawling out who should have been on this roster, right? You know, I really, really was surprised.
I mean, yeah, like, I was surprised to those guys completely gave up.
And that's not a good sign for Doc Rivers.
It's not, but, you know, this is what I mean.
When we look to the future for Philly, you know when we look at could we hang with the Denver Nuggets? Could we hang? I mean, how about Jimmy buckets, man? Jimmy Butler.
I mean, I still cry every time I watch in Miami Heat game because Jimmy Butler should have been the guy here.
Jimmy Butler and I.
Whatever the reports are, I don't really care.
All I know is you.
You find a way to make it work.
You find a way to make it work.
And Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy May is well win a championship this year.
You know, he really may.
Well, I mean, we have no high volumes who are like Jamal marry. Absolutely not.
That's a problem.
Who on his team, We don't even have a high volume shooter like Chris Harris, right? We don't have a we don't have ah, yoke.
It's on this team, you know? Obviously, people might say that's Joel Embiid, but he's not playing up to it.
It's not playing up to those capabilities, so there's so many different issues with this team, and I'm just curious on who this head coach is going to bay, and on top of that, who is going to be able to fix these problems, and I don't know if it's Mike D'Antoni.
I don't think we have the players to run on Mike D'Antoni.
System You think about his play and coaching style is predicated on shooting ability.
It's predicated on space.
There was a reason why they brought in a row.
Uh, Todd again on a Monday morning.
But there's a reason why they brought in Russell Westbrook.
They brought in Russell Westbrook for a reason.
Russell Westbrook and get to the whole.
He is tremendous in space, and he space to Florida.
Okay, they got rid of Clint Capela.
They went small, right? They went through all small lineup, but running gun kind of team that was gonna dictate what was gonna be dictated by James Harden, Obviously.
So who is he going to do that with? Here is my question.
Mike D'Antoni is not going to be able to do what people think he's going to be able to do here. I'm sorry.
It's not gonna happen, Trevor.
What's up, buddy? As always, talking about six or today switching it up.
You know, you look at Mike D'Antoni in Phoenix, right? Mike D'Antoni in Phoenix, lost in the conference finals in 4 2005 05 and six lost in the conference finals 0607 Lost in the conference.
Lost in the first round.
Do you see the pattern here, Right? Do you see the pattern of Lakers in 12 13? Lost in the first round.
Missed the playoffs in 13 and 14 right? I mean, Mike D'Antoni to me.
I don't say I just don't see the infatuation and you see what he started.
Houston, four years lost in the conference semifinals, lost in the files that lost in the conference semifinals.
Lost in the conference semifinals again.
Listen for any team in the West, this this is your year, right? This is your year where Golden State does not have the dogs, right? This was your year to flourish.
This was almost like, you know, basically what Houston did when Michael Jordan retired.
This was a Rudy Tomjanovich era for anybody in the West to be ableto win a couple championships and listen.
Somebody's gonna take advantage of it and looks like the Denver Nuggets are going all in, and they are going to give these Lakers team fits.
I'm telling you right now, the Lakers are not gonna have an easy time with the Denver Nuggets. They play.
Mark Malone has got these guys are Mike balloons. Got these guys bawling.
He's gone playing tremendous defense.
Listen, the biggest thing is they're hitting high percentage shots right there, hitting high percentage shots.
And they have guys that people forget about.
Listen, Michael Porter Jr has been electric in the bubble.
Paul Millsap is a a savvy veteran who's able to do so many different things on the court.
Mason Plumlee is another guy that could come in and spell yoke.
It's and play that center role.
They have a lot of guys on the Nuggets that people forgetting about.
The Nuggets are probably the deepest team beyond the Lakers and the Clippers, and they just knocked off the Clippers, which is very, very interesting.
So Travers asking.
So where do you see Billy Donovan going? Bulls, Sixers.
I love Billy Donovan.
I like I like your style of liquid.
He stands for I like the culture it brings to a team.
Yeah, I like him being coming from the college ranks will be able to transition his coaching style in order to be successful.
And, yes, he listen.
Billy Donovan was successful, okay? He didn't know what to do.
So I like Billy Donovan.
I still haven't heard Nate McMillan's name mentioned, which I'm very surprised.
I still think Nate McMillan got a raw deal.
I'm not a Tyronn Lue guy.
You guys already know that.
I'm not talking about Tyronn Lue.
He's not my guy.
I like Mark Jackson.
I really dio I think he's another guy who's not getting talked about.
I like Sam Cassell.
Sam Cassell is another name that people aren't talking about as well.
So there's a lot of coaching candidates.
But so for me to sit there and say it's Mike D'Antoni's job to lose.
I'm highly disappointed in that I am because I I don't want Mike D'Antoni here.
I don't and it's no disrespect, Teoh.
You know what his credibility is.
I just don't think he's the right coach for this team now.
Depends are, well, the Sixers go and change the entire makeup of this team.
Is it even possible for them? To Todd, The entire makeup of this team can they figure out a way to get a guy like Devin Booker here to be able to listen.
You watch the Celtics right you want.
So I am a huge, absolutely huge Marcus.
Marcus Smart, to me, is the epitome off a poor man's Jimmy Butler.
Okay, he really is.
Marcus Smart plays hard all the time.
Marcus Smart is the guy that he's the baseball player that comes in and takes, takes the pitch, takes one for the team, gets hit in the thigh by the fastball.
97 miles an hour.
Smart guy who who gets run over on the floor, whether he flops or not taking the charge in crucial times in the game.
Marcus Smart's the guy who will sit on the bench, shot his mouth, come in and play a tremendous role whenever his number is called.
Marcus Smart is a guy who does everything the right way when it comes to preparation.
He's a guy I would love to see on the 70 Sixers.
Marcus Smart is not talked about enough. He's not.
Hey, listen, he is that guy.
He's not gonna get the superstar credibility, but he is a fantastic player.
And he is a guy that keeps that Celtics team going.
Listen, when Gordon Hayward got hurt again, everybody started packing in a little bit.
Everybody thought, Wow, because Gordon Hayward was having a hell of an MBA bubble season.
He really was. He was.
His shooting percentage was up in the, you know, 50 to 60% range.
So he was He was playing very, very well.
And everybody thought once they lost him, that was gonna be, you know, he was that secret weapon Boston had.
Guess what? Didn't matter.
Marcus Smarts, that right into that role.
And he played huge.
And I'll tell you something watching that clippers game last night and watching Paul, George and Kawhi basically give up and watching those two guys just come up very, very small on a very big stage.
I'll tell you what, If I was the owner to, I'd be highly ****ed off right now.
You know, you spent a lot of money to bring Kawhi Leonard in here and you spent a lot of money thio and capital to be able to bring a guy like Paul Georgia here because your superstar Kawhi.
Leonard wanted that guy.
I mean, listen, it's almost the equivalent of Bryce Harper saying I want J.
Rowe Muto here you need You need to sign him because I'm the guy who runs the roost here.
I'm the guy who controls the team so I can understand why you know why the owner would be highly ****ed off because that's a game you need to win, man.
If you're the L A Clippers and you're going, you have two of the best sixth guys in the n B. A.
What I mean by that is they have to six man on that team in Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams.
They have both of them on this team that a lot of people would die toe have on their squad right now.
And they got shut out by a kid in Jamal Marry who nobody gave a chance being drafted where he was at a Kentucky, said he you know he needed to develop a game.
He developed a shot.
He was on point man, joking.
Everybody talked about the Joker saying he lost too much weight.
He's a lazy player.
He doesn't look, I'll tell you, man, you know, with with Mary and joke.
They are a tough team to beat.
They they have a really good nucleus, and they have a really good role player system around them.
And I'm very excited to see them play the Lakers.
But to get back to the Sixers, you know, I I don't know where the Sixers go from here.
You know, I took about a week off from talking NBA because obviously, you know, with all the fantasy work that I do in the NFL work that I really had to get down and get ready for Week one.
But now that I get back into the Sixers talk and I get back into the coaching search, they get back into these ridiculous contracts of Tobias Harris being maxed out, you know? What are they gonna do with Josh Richardson? You know, do they let let's listen for all kinds of purposes? If this Josh Richardson last year, I'm not gonna cry about it. I'm really not.
It's not really gonna bother me.
You know Tobias Harris.
If they could find somebody to take that contract, please take it.
But I highly doubt that that's going to happen so that that the Sixers made a lot of bad money, moves a lot of bad money moves and hit him right now.
Uh, yo, listen, I'm with you, man.
I do not want Antonio here and be will never touch the paint.
Listen, right now, that's it.
That's the perfect comment for this show.
You know why? Because if people follow me, that's one of the things I yelling story about all the time.
You know? Listen, Joel, listen, I I understand the new game, and but you start to play to strengths on Joel.
Strength is in the paint.
Say what you want.
His strength is in the paint.
Not because he just has to post up all the time because he's unguardable.
He is unguardable.
If he would play Thio to the way his body is perceived and the way his position is perceived, he is unguardable.
Shock has said it.
Barclay has said it.
And if Mike D'Antoni comes in here, there's a reason why they sent away Clint Capela because they want to go small because they want to run and gun that does not fit in to the Joelle and be mold.
So basically, if you're gonna bring Mike D'Antoni here, say goodbye to Joe L and B.
Say goodbye to Joe L and B.
Right? Listen, I'm 100%.
I mean, listen, Jo Ellan beads role is to work the ball down to get it out.
See this? The what? His team is so, so poorly constructed.
And I've said this again.
I'm gonna get in this conversation right now.
I don't need Ben Simmons the shoe, but disagree, Agree.
Whatever you want.
I need him to finish. That's all I need Ben to dio.
I need Ben to be decisive with the ball.
I need Ben when he goes coast to coast to stop getting up in the air and kicking out for a three.
Take the ball to the freaking hole, dunk it, finger roll lighting.
That's all I need him to do.
I don't need them to shoot a 20 footer.
I don't need them to shoot a three point shot.
It doesn't matter if Joel plays his role.
If you If you construct a system where Joelle is getting the ball down on the block and be able to work the ball back outside.
And if you had a couple shooters, that could actually knock down shots.
This is a completely different team, completely different team, 100% completely different team.
And and that's why.
Listen, look with D'Antoni.
System did the biggest guy they had in the lineup this year from Mike D'Antoni, Which P.
Tucker, okay, and P.
Tucker Just listen all due respect to him, he did what he could dio.
But if Russell Westbrook wasn't hitting shots, if Eric Gordon wasn't hitting shots, especially when he was injured, they didn't have it.
Didn't have its presence in there, but James Harden was coming up small.
Who else was gonna overtake them? I mean, you had Robert Covington who was out there getting shots, you know, as once they could, getting blocked shots on the glass and that was basically like your center in the playoffs.
Uh, Joel Embiid isn't going anywhere.
Listen, Andre, I agree, but I will tell you something right now, and I'll say this every single day.
If there is an opportunity, if there is a tremendous opportunity to take Joel Embiid send him elsewhere in a package deal that gives us another presence and a tremendous shooter from the outside.
I am in all day.
I will keep Ben and I will get rid of Joel 10 out of 10 times every day.
Just my opinion.
I don't want to get rid of any of them right now.
What I want Joelle to do is grow the hell up.
That's what I want to do.
I want him to stop chirping on Twitter.
I want him to stop chirping on Instagram.
I want him to start worrying about his game and his conditioning and not worrying about telling Jimmy Butler.
He's proud of him.
A writing, cryptic message.
This is on Twitter.
Listen, this is the one thing I have no problem about you, L and B.
He is not a leader, and I understand that.
But when you get paid that kind of money and you're on that and you come out, listen, it's not just about the money.
It's about the way you portray yourself.
You know, you're talking about how this is my team, right? You're talking about that Well, you need to be about it, not just talk about it.
And Joel came out very small after they lost.
Didn't have much to say.
I was highly disappointed.
The way disrespected breath brown, in my opinion, because this wasn't just on bread Brown.
This was on the players as well.
As much as I I agree with the move.
I wanted Breath Brown going two years ago.
I still think Joel could have been a lot mawr ah, lot mawr to show that he's ready to take that next step.
So if you're asking me Joel a Bent, it's been all day.
Let's get Buddy.
I'll tell you what I would love.
There's a lot of people were talking about, buddy.
Hell, man, that's a name that came out a couple weeks ago and he is fired, man.
He is. He is fired from the outside.
He is the guy Where? Listen, Ben Dr. For Body.
Ben, listen, just bend drive, right? That's all I needed to do it.
But now buddies that guy.
So it Ben does, even though I don't want him to do it all the time.
But if he were, if you were to be able to kick the ball out if Joe Allenby was able to get the ball down the block.
Who now he has somebody supplies.
Harris isn't that guy.
I would love to get Buddy Hild here.
Think about this.
Just thinking about the difference of lineup that you get if you bring a buddy healed here, I really, seriously, I mean, the guy's shot is tremendous.
Uh, it really is.
And it is something that we definitely need.
We've been Molly checking, and we've been asking for Joe out a girl for too long.
If losing the rafters didn't make it happen, it's not ever going to happen.
Um, listen, I agree.
You know, there's something Joelle is gonna be Joelle and he's gonna have to be baby, and that's something I can't stand.
I you know, I understand that he did not come from a tremendous basketball background.
He's learned a lot on his own.
You know, when you give athletes young athletes, I should say a ton of money.
We see it all the time in every single sport, you know, it's it's hard for them to comprehend, and I don't know what Joel's you know, support bases right now, I have no idea.
But I think on the court I was expecting Al Horford the comment and and be that kind of mentor to Joel Embiid.
I was expecting him That basically explained to him What needs toe happen on and off the court.
And it's something I didn't I didn't see transpired this year.
And I'm telling you I was highly upset.
I was I should say I was disappointed.
Andre checking in.
Here comes Here comes Andres.
My A bomb guy, man.
If you don't know Andre, he is my You know he's jigs, all judgments, heat ratio, sports.
He is the guy that that comes in, and drops are six or sources for us.
And he's saying right now a few players weren't happy.
We're taste the thigh bone.
Harris combo felt missile.
I'll tell you what.
You know one thing about Brett Brown I think we can all agree on his rotations.
I have no idea what his rotations were.
I have no idea what he did or why he did what he did, I should say.
Um, you know the rotation of thighbone.
Harris combo, this is Listen, this this, this is this is what happens, right? You have a guide.
Al Horford, who you pay a ton of money for.
You have a guide, Tobias Harris.
Do you pay? It's on the money for it.
No matter how bad they stink, no matter how bad did not produce.
And unfortunately, because you're paying them a ****load of money, they have to be on the court.
And that gets in the way of some of your decisions.
So don't don't Don't think for a second that prep Brown.
It wasn't hinging on his mind that, you know, we're playing Tobias Harris a ton of money here.
We're playing him and Max out contract.
He needs to be on the floor, even with rookie, even though the rookie is out playing him at times.
Okay, because Matisse is going to be a tremendous player in this league.
It didn't matter at contract and money talks, man.
Very tired when a GM left at that.
See that again? The GM left at the last G m because here's the thing.
And and please explain to me this scenario and tell me if you guys feel the same way, I I really think, let's say Andre, the GM wasn't happy with that and Brett didn't want to change.
When Brett didn't change, it was told to change the turmoil.
Yeah, I see there was a lot of stuff going on, Andre, I think you're absolutely right.
A ton of stuff going on And here's Here's my thing Elton Brand.
Is getting a lot of heat right.
E b is getting a lot of heat and I get it.
I understand he's getting a lot of heat for bringing Al Horford, and he's getting a lot of heat for letting Jimmy Butler go.
You know, you get a lot of heat for Max out.
Okay, but here's the thing.
I really think that, you know, Al Horford again was not signed to shoot up 25 threes again.
That's not what he was signed for, right? The vision off what Elton Brand had when he signed Al Horford was not dictated on the court.
And listen, you could go back and you can.
You can listen to the pre season you could listen a week one where Al Horford sat in front of a microphone and said he didn't understand his role.
Here's a 30 plus year old veteran whose one playoff games single handedly in your you know as your rival with the Boston Celtics telling you he has no idea what the hell is going on.
That's a problem.
That's a problem.
So I I think the struggle is riel, and I think it was happening all year.
There's no way Elton Brand envisioned that lineup to be the way it Waas when he signed Al Horford.
There's absolutely no way he visit Al Horford to be playing down low.
He visit Al Horford to be the screen guy on a pick and roll.
That's what he did so well so eloquently in Boston.
He was used a completely different way here, a completely different way.
And so I am not gonna pin this on Al Horford.
I want Al Horford to be used the way he should be used and let's see what happens.
And I think that was the problem between breath Brown and Elton Brand. I dio.
I really think that was one of the issues.
I think Bret wanted who we want it.
I think Elton gave him what he could but said, Listen, it's your job as a head coach that take these pieces and make the work and put them not to quote Andy Reid, but in the best position toe play, right? This is what you have to dio.
And unfortunately, breath did not do that.
He didn't He did not do that.
Miley checking to say she loves he be think everyone needs.
It's showing that you be told us in the postseason press conference he didn't have full control and needs more basketball minds.
Well, there's a telling sign if your general manager is telling you he does not have full control and needs more basketball minds.
That's exactly exactly my issue.
What? Have you tried to shoot off? Yes.
Listen, Andre, this is my point.
And I've been arguing people all the argue people all year about this Al Horford, which completely misused Al Horford did not just wake up and lose his game.
Okay? And say what you want.
I don't care if you've been in the league for 15 years or two years.
when your mental psyche is challenged and when your mental psyche is not upto what the capability is, you indirectly are gonna fall short on expectations and your abilities are going to suffer.
And that's what happened to Al Horford.
I don't care if he was a veteran.
He was lost in the system that did not fit him.
Which brings us back to Mike D'Antoni.
So why the hell would you want Mike D'Antoni here? He is not this system.
I want Jersey rocket.
Alright, I'll say that.
Look, this is my Ray Allen Sonics jersey right here.
All right? I You know, I love I love the basketball jersey figure talking about basketball today and throw out that Ray Allen, one of my favorite shooters of all time.
Uh, you know, Listen, listen, I don't know if it's Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, but if I'm getting the last shot in Game seven of the NBA Finals, you know, I'll tell you what it's it's a toss up between right Allen? Reggie Miller.
I might I might have to go, Reggie.
I'm gonna have to go, Ratchet.
Just because you know I just think that, you know, Reggie is one of the best years. All times.
Well, O Neal checks and no real Vera.
The Sixers are joke.
Listen, I'll tell you, man, the Sixers are becoming a joke, and it's a shame, you know, we went, we went through a lot.
Ah, lot of, you know, attacking this process.
And I'm telling you right now, man, it's an absolute shame.
What's going on? I just have to say, uh, my oldest son's You come right now because of right, Alan, Like, say, uh props to him, man, that you kind of like that.
He Listen, man, that's great.
He's got a hell of an education and a hell of an athletic background right there.
Congrats to you, man.
Um, Molly, checking in joke is a little extreme.
Well, you know what, Molly? I see it.
You know Neil, She you know, she's checking in, saying that basically, what's going on right now is a joke.
You know, maybe we can We could change that a little bit.
Uh, change the context of that.
So I kind of agree with that.
The sixers have been a joke.
since the Iverson ended.
So you know, Frank, Listen, man, you know they've been a joke because in Mali this I think this is what they mean.
They put a joke because, you know, they had the direction set, right? Let's let's face it, Sam Hinkie was ousted because he got inside the MBA system and he made a mockery off everything.
The MBA stood far from a draft capital standpoint, and from a revenue standpoint, when you go, you know when you're running a NBA franchise.
So he had to g o you know, in the MBA's eyes.
And then you bring in the Colleen's Low Brothers who listen.
Bryan Colangelo did nothing for May. Absolutely nothing.
And And when you come out with a burner phone conspiracy theory and you know things of that nature that that's what makes your organization become a laughing stock around the n b A.
And don't think for one second that you know Jimmy Butler didn't see something like that.
And don't think for one second that other MBA players didn't see that.
And you know, the word around is that there's a lot of dysfunction in upper management, and, you know Andre.
Checking in with the A bombs is kinda, you know, basically, he he is submitting the fact that this is legitimate and this is a legitimate concern.
Listen, here's the thing.
Your MBA owner in Josh Harris.
I don't need you, you know, drinking crown and Coke.
With all the players in the press box acting like you're bullies.
That's not your role, man.
Listen, there's only one guy, in my opinion, who could do stuff like that.
And that's Mark Cuban man.
Mark Cuban's a real deal.
Say what you want about Mark Cuban, but I love Mark Cuban.
I love everything he stands for.
Think he's the best own in the n B A.
So if anybody's gonna have drinks with players is gonna be Mark Cuban.
And I think that's the reason why I'm okay with that is because I know he's not playing into a game.
I know he's being 100% authentic, which is something that Josh Harris will never be.
So that's one of my biggest things.
You know, Frank exactly nothing of essence. Zero.
He did absolutely nothing are the Sixers and worships.
And now that yes, Justin, 100% the Sixers or, you know, 100% worse position right now because they have a bunch of contracts they can't get out of.
And they signed the wrong guys.
They signed the wrong guys.
And again, Listen, all you need to do is see Jason Tatum, Play all you need to do a C Mikael Bridges play.
And again that draft a tray.
Miquel bridges for Zaire.
Smith, Zaire, Smith Island.
Listen, I'm gonna tell you something, man.
Zaire Smith can't play.
I don't care what you say.
You could tell me anything you want.
You could tell me you're a MBA scout right now.
If he could play, he'd have been on the court.
He can't play another wasted draft, another wasted draft.
And and that's the shame of it.
That's a shame of it.
That's how I feel. Like we are cursed going forward.
And now we were in the worst position.
Shake my head. Forgot desire.
Smith even existed that that's the thing.
Andre Allen was a huge cultural icon.
The only way to overcome the big figure when it changes.
Like the Eagles, it or McNabb.
Listen, Andre your first statement.
Allen was a huge cultural icon.
I say it all the time because he was What did Allen Iverson represented? The MBA When Allen Iverson came out of Newport News, Virginia and came out of Georgetown when he came to the Philadelphia 76 years, What did he bring it? And listen, it wasn't the Fab Five.
I noticed that if I were the first, you know, we Chris Webber toe wear the baggy shorts.
Okay, but listen, this this was Allen Iverson represented a hip hop culture into the MBA.
He brought that culture.
He brought the cornrows and the tattoos.
He brought the the image of Yo, it's okay to be authentic.
It's okay to be who you are on the court, just like you are off the court.
He brought that to the MBA, and ever since he brought that, remember, ever since he brought that kind of style in that culture to the MBA, it has caught on, and it's tremendous.
I am a I am a 100% hip hop fan.
I've always been a hip hop fan.
I continue to be a hip hop fan and he brought that style of culture to the NBA, and he will be forever remembered for that.
So if anybody ever you know, when you're a half time, you hear the hip hop music in the background.
That's what Allen Iverson brought.
When you see the guys, the tattoos, you know, whether they symbolize something or not, personally or culturally, that is because of a I.
When you see nobody wearing, you know, Speedo shorts on the court and actually looking a little fly when we're playing basketball, that's a I.
That was all a I.
And one thing about a I was people couldn't separate.
See, that's the difference in Philadelphia, you know, or I should say, in the MBA.
Unfortunately, people could not separate the Allen Iverson off the court that Allen Iverson on the court.
And I will say this, Alan, obviously you see his jersey behind me, one of my favorite players of all time, not just Philadelphia, 70 Sixers, but the MBA.
And the reason why I say that is Andre Texan, he says.
Authenticity made exactly.
It's okay to make mistakes.
Even the cameras were rolling.
And you know what, Andre? The one thing about a I you'd never question is great.
You never questions effort.
You never question. It's hard.
That man put everything on the line, no matter what I get it. There was issues.
Listen N B a NFL major league baseball players ain't perfect.
Players are still human beings, man, you know people.
You know, I I love Charles Barkley for always saying, Listen, I'm not a role model, right? I understand that.
I understand that there's a fine line to saying MBA players and major league I say professional athletes have a role to be role models, but we, as parents, also have a role to be role models.
So you know, it's our job to say, You know, what? I explained to them that maybe what he did here off the court wasn't okay.
But look at what he's doing on the basketball court, right? Look at what he's doing there.
That that's what I want you to emulate.
I want to emulate that effort.
So ah, lot of people Ah, lot of people forget about that.
Uh, spoke to Mark Cuban, you know? Listen, uh, listen, Andre is the NBA insider for heat ratio sportsmen.
Guess he is the real deal, man. I love listening.
He gets it done.
Leader that works in today's league listening.
He's vocal and he's visible on right and he's riel. That's the thing.
You could be vocal.
I say this all the time.
You guys know that.
Just don't you know, Just don't talk about it, be about it.
And that's one thing you never have to question with Mark Cuban.
Talk about it, Be about it.
That's one thing he 100% has to dio off that he made it perfectly okay to make mistakes even when the cameras rolling Fridays on City ad Uh huh.
Hold hands, man.
I'll tell you, Hold hands on oxygen checking love those days.
