seven, Mr Covered Finals week.
Just the two of us.
The day without basketball.
While everyone else is true, That feels weird because it's been every day for a month now.
All right, I'm gonna share this, uh, in the chat real quick.
I think that's right.
And so I guess we Let's go ahead and start, You know, let Zoe could wait.
Maybe get people in here.
I mean, I got I got time.
I'm not doing much tonight besides watching football eventually.
But I need Derrick Henry to give me, like, 300 yards to win my match up this week.
So, uh, I need I need Evan Ingram to catch a ball.
Um, he dropped, like, two passes in the first quarter, and, uh, one of them was for a touchdown.
And I need six points toe with Yeah.
I don't know, fantasy like fast couple years.
That's really struggle.
I finished third and two leagues, and then the league.
I care about the most.
Obviously, I'm gonna finish, like, seventh in, so it's It has not been good.
I need Thio and I've keepers have good keepers.
Is like Travis Kelsey Derrick Henry.
Uh uh, Calvin Ridley I kept, but anyway, all right, so we're gonna go in the spirit of football, we're gonna discuss basketball.
So, uh so but, yeah, we're gonna go through the Eastern Conference finals preview and then look at Game seven of tomorrow's surprising.
Probably the bigger story line right now is three Los Angeles Clippers are in a game seven.
Not in the last two rounds.
I'm gonna throw it over to you because you already shaking your head.
Eso I mean, what is your take on this Siri's? I mean, the Nuggets have been pretty resilient.
Overall, I would say I mean, there they've been down 31 before and and even dating back to last year, where they beat the Spurs and seven like, they should have probably one that anyway.
But they face elimination so many times where they're so used to it.
Um, it doesn't really phase them.
And when teams are in positions of power, it's like everyone folds except for them.
So what's your take? Kind of, you know what? What do you see tomorrow? Do you see the Nuggets going three in a row against this Clippers team because otherwise I I don't know.
What do you think? I I want to go back a little bit.
What you said, like the Nuggets have a T least with Jamal Murray and Nikolai Yokich.
They have only been in game sevens and every playoff series that they've been a part of together, which, yeah, I mean, it's I saw that today.
I thought that was pretty crazy because they went.
They got to the second round last year, went to a Game seven with the Blazers, who ended up winning.
But, um, the Clippers looked like a completely different team in the second half of that game.
Because the first half do you look at it? Uh oh.
I had 14 on five of eight shooting.
Paul George had 17 on 6 to 10 shooting.
John Michael Green. It was four for five.
Montrezl Harrell was two for two, and in the second half, CO y and Paul George combined six or 21 it's like, What? What changed? What happened on then? Yoke.
It's just started going nuts.
Completely insane. First half.
First half, he only had I mean, he had he had 15 in the first happened.
He had 19 in the second half and he was hitting some stupid horse shots.
Um, like, fading away from three hitting, ridiculous, ridiculous shots.
I I think if Jamal Murray and Nicole Yokich continue to do what they've been doing, the Nuggets have a shot.
Clippers, I think, are obviously the on paper.
They're the better team, but they've been so and we've said it on the podcast so many times.
There's so **** inconsistent every game, like you don't know what Clippers you're going to get right.
It's not even just they lose handily.
They they're up by nearly 20 points, and he's one of these games.
So it's a little concerning an alarming if you're Doc Rivers.
If you lose this game, he's probably fired, right? I mean, well, who really knows at this point? Because because the Bucks aren't gonna fire Budenholzer so that, you know, e think if they did, then he would definitely get fired if they lose.
And you know, we had Brad in the chat, said Co is gonna be magical, and I think he could be.
He shows up in big games.
Situations like that, it's a matter of are they going to continue to be complacent? You know where they're up? 60.
What was it like 68 to 49 or something like that? They are blowing this lead, and it was pretty quick, like three minutes later, it was a 10 point game again.
So I don't know.
This Nuggets team plays their best when they're against the wall, and maybe that's the best way to play.
If it works, it works.
But I don't know if I sent it in the chat earlier today.
It was talking about, um, this was way back.
It was Lakers Celtics when Doc was with Boston and Phil Jackson was like, miked up.
And he was like, talking about, um, the Doc Rivers and Celtics is like they know how to lose in the fourth quarter.
So I mean, it's pretty.
That was 10 years ago, over 10 years ago.
So, um, but I don't know.
I mean there it's just magical that they've gotten this far, I think, because everybody's gonna count him out against the Jazz even.
I mean, I had to not get sweeping the jazz, so that was like, slap in the face to me because they looked really good in Game one.
I was like, Well, you know that, Mitchell.
You know, he's got 55 they lose in overtime.
We can go ahead and make this a sweep, but I don't know, nuggets just like to make my my blood boil.
I guess so, Yeah.
I think the biggest thing is, uh, if Paul George shows up, I mean, he's been inconsistent.
Much better, I would say lately.
I know Bailey in the chat here is a Paul George certified hater.
Um, so but I'm starting to get there.
Really? Is it just I like Paul George a lot, but the Damien Little thing really, like, turned me away for a bit this year.
When when he was kind of talking trash about Willard and it's like he dropped, like, 70.
Yeah, I don't know.
That's that was was odd to me, but, I mean, the Clippers have, like, four public enemy number ones.
It seems to rotate every night between Marcus Morris, Patrick Beverley, Montrose.
Harold, Um, is there 1/4? One thing to do when I consider Paul George part of that group? I don't know.
Probably a lot of people don't care for him that much, I think, Yeah, I mean, he definitely takes, I think in, like, his last, not the last year in Indiana.
But you know, when they're in the Eastern Conference finals and they were, you know, doing pretty well.
They lose to LeBron in seven or something six or seven.
And that's just kind of how things went.
And he doesn't really return to that relevance sense.
So I'd say his his his last season in O.
Was up there because he was like third in MVP that year.
But other than that, yeah, you're absolutely right.
Yeah, and I don't know if it's a matter of fit, because, I mean, even though teams are very good overall constructed, sometimes it does take a little while.
And the Clippers is highly highly touted as they've been.
You know, let's say they lose to a Nuggets team that you know, has been together for a while, and they've they've they know their system, you know, they don't have Will Barton.
That's been a huge hit.
But, you know, with Gary Harris back in the lineup, finally, you know they start toe, have what they had.
And, you know, being that team that wins, what do They went 55 games last year.
Like they're very good team.
And I think they just get a bad rap when it comes to you know, that regular season on Lee, um type team.
I'm trying to look up the last year because I'm pretty sure they won.
They were like a game behind the warriors.
Um, for first last year or yeah, Okay.
So, yeah, 54 wins.
So again, they're not.
They're not a team.
That's, you know, casual fans.
They're going to go out and say, Oh, the Clippers or the any l A team is gonna you know, uh, train wreck you.
It's like, Well, no, this is a really solid team.
And they have, you know, fundamental defenders.
They're not gonna have any superstars outside of your kitchen.
You know, budding star like Jamal Murray.
But, I mean, this team is is not something to be no lightly taken with.
It's almost like, especially when they're upset.
Because when Jamal Murray is playing upset, he's hitting step back threes on anybody.
He does not care.
Patrick Beverley included, right? Yeah.
So, any time that he's.
And again, we don't have home court, which I'm not sure how much that comes into play for this series specifically because we still really know if the Clippers have a fan base.
Um, yeah, I was disappointed because, you know, I wanted to see Lakers Clippers in the same building.
Um, because obviously, when the Clippers air the home team, the Lakers, they're gonna have that advantage of probably still feeling at 60 40 at a minimum.
Eso maybe we let the way you're crossing fingers.
Hopefully, um, but yeah, So I guess any other thoughts on that game seven? Because I think it it is going to come down to the wire.
It's not gonna be like that Lakers Game five or they just steamrolled the Rockets and were up by 30 most of that game.
I mean, what it's gonna be I'm thinking it will be pretty close.
I'd say within 10 points, probably.
I I'm gonna pick the Clippers, though just because Paul, George and Kawhi Leonard mostly Kawhi Leonard like they he knows how toe winning big games like the sixth game last year, most notably the I mean, the shot that he had, um that shouldn't indict his entire big game success.
But, I mean, they were in the finals like he did what he had to do.
And I think he could do the same thing with the better supporting cast.
Maybe a better supporting cast.
Not really sure, right? Yeah, I think I'll go with you.
You know, I'm gonna pull for the Nuggets, but I think my pick will be the Clippers, because I want to see you.
Since the Bucks air the bucks, Twitter's all on fire, and it's calmed down a little bit over the past couple of days, but, um, I want to see another, like, high caliber fan base go nuts.
That's gonna be That would be entertaining especially.
I mean, if it was, the Lakers would be much better because they just always really pretty erratic.
And they don't e was helping Sandy upon 20 the other day.
And e was like, Man, these guys were just nuts on Lakers Twitter because something else so but yeah, we'll see.
I think that's an eight o'clock start central time tomorrow.
And, yeah, I'm hoping for another Game seven like we saw against Utah where it came down to that final shot that rimmed out, man, that was That was one of the more classic game sevens.
I mean, they had the low scoring affair was, you know, nobody could have shot down the stretch.
And then, you know, Yokich did step up when he was needed, but I don't know.
It's gonna be crazy.
So I guess any final thoughts before we jump ahead to E C f.
I don't think so.
Eight o'clock tomorrow on that Western Conference semifinals, we're moving over the Eastern Conference finals.
That again, we're kind of we're not really connected, you know, like the East.
The Eastern Conference is ahead of the Western Conference, which, you know, we'll see how that comes into play at the end of the Siri's.
But they're starting tomorrow.
Game one, it's Celtics heat.
Um, is disappointed as I am in the bucks.
Um, I'm gonna take the Miami Heat in the syriza, you know, even though it seems like the Celtics match up better, Um, it's almost like this triangle of the Celtics can't beat the Bucks.
The Bucks can't beat the heat, and then he can't beat the Celtics.
I'm still gonna take Miami.
And this just because I think Jimmy Butler, um you know, he doesn't need to drop 30 each game for them to win.
I think it's a committee job and he comes in and you know he's still gonna get attention, even if he's not that Number one scored baggage, made it hell for the Bucks.
And he was, you know, doing things that it was.
It was really difficult to accept that they were going in, you know, like they you just these impossible shots where Brook Lopez is reached out 100% and he's still getting them.
He's still getting them to drop, and he's dropping, like 25 a game, so I don't know.
I'm gonna go ahead and take the heat.
I'm gonna pick him in six.
Um, mainly because I just don't want to see the Celtics get any further, so we'll see.
I mean it, Z, I'm curious.
Here you take and I know Cory and I probably have differing opinions on this, but I'm taking heat and six.
What about you? Uh, I've gone really, really back and forth on this Siri's, because it's so so close.
There's the Celtics have the two ISO scores that can kind of get it done, and the Heat have more of the collective like culture unit with Spoelstra and that kind of stuff, judging by someone who's watched Jimmy Butler in person, single handedly take down good teams in the final minutes of games, I would say Miami and seven, Um, since since they started playing like when they when they started that that Buck Siri's I was like this.
This is the best team in the East.
You might not want to hear it.
I think they're I think they're the best team.
Jimmy Butler is one of the best players in the N B A.
He solidified himself like Not that he's doing everything on offense, but he's impact in the game so much.
And that's hard for me to say because he was just going to say, I can't imagine that's easy coming out of your mouth with? No, not at all.
Corbyn's on here, giving me giving me crap in the chat about the bucks, and I, uh you know what, man? It's, you know, I could sit here and say, Well, home court advantage probably played a factor, which I mean, you can't deny it.
But ultimately, this is what we're given, and they just they weren't able to show up long overdue. Yeah, okay.
We'll see how far the Lakers get here, buddy.
I mean, either way, they they're gonna have some fine tuning to Dio.
And I don't personally, I thought Budenholzer should have been done.
Um, you know, it's two seasons in a row, but I think there are teams that treated it like, you know, for all the coaches that got fired, you know, you had the Alvin Gentry, Nate McMillan, Brett Brown.
This was all treated like it was a normal playing field, which I want to say if we're in normal cir***stances and this happens, I think Putin holders job is a lot less secure, and and this is how I think it should be.
You know that you can't quite evaluate guys when you don't have home court like the Sixers, for instance.
Yeah, they would have.
They would have still been on the road for four games, but they were the best team at home, you almost look like Well, they lost two games at home during the regular season and probably, you know, if we send it out, maybe they lose an extra game or two.
But if you make it three or four losses and you have what, 38 wins instead, like, they're probably personal Celtics more than a sweep, honestly, so and I don't like getting into hypotheticals like this.
Um, it just sucks.
Basically, did not.
Not to be able to see, you know, people playing, you know, you earn home court advantage like, you know, not even just Milwaukee but Toronto to like their fan base is nuts.
I think that might be a different Siri's, even though it did go the full distance, Um and yeah, I don't know.
It's It's something that will again, hopefully be back to next season whenever that starts.
But, you know, I think the key matchups, I guess, was what I wanted to jump into um, next is if Marcus Smart can contain drug Ege and if who the Heat are going to really throw at either Tatum or Brown because how they game plan against Yannis was Let's just build the wall and then make somebody else beat us.
But can you really build a wall against Tatum and Brown? You can't, so I don't know what I mean.
If you had to pick a key matchup, what would that be? They come down to the airport.
Yeah, up a second.
Hey, it's a lot of what can me do.
Ugly working defensively to actually alter the over that experience.
Like, uh, you had Miami at all.
Uh, but you can't do that first video game.
Besides, Houston are part sometimes.
That's my, uh, pressure.
Prefer clear on player man Joe man.
I'm not the smart 20.
He retired by success, like as much as you floss and does all that stuff.
He's super impact, like a block that he had against Trump was huge.
And if he whoever else Miami, throw on offense, Hurry along, my brother, Um, a huge theories and a they will because we're gonna have a so you're cutting out a little bit? I got most of it.
I heard you say the coaching matchup, and that's very true.
I think you know Brad Stevens has been around for long enough where this could be it for him.
I mean, I don't like saying that because, you know, he is pretty highly coveted out there.
Maybe not by the fan base, because they seem to want for him to be fired in the middle of the rapture.
Siri's after their up to nothing, but that's just Boston fandom for you.
I'm not going to really dive into anything deeper, but, yeah, I think Erik Spoelstra shown time and time again that he's going to contend no matter who's who he has.
And you know, he did miss the playoffs here and there.
But he's one of the few coaches that's been around long enough to see full circle success, no matter who is on the roster.
Yeah, it's gonna help to have LeBron James on your team for a couple of years, but you know, he won one previously.
With D Wade in No.
Seven, I was seven.
I think six was six was cabs.
I thought that loss in the finals, Maybe maybe it's other way around.
Either way, it's one of those, too, so, you know, he's had plenty of experience with that.
He knows what it takes to win.
So I think that's the difference for me.
Because, you know, perhaps Stevens is good as he's been.
And it's also the other thing is Gordon Hayward.
I'm not sure I missed that when you were talking, but Gordon Hayward might be returning late in this.
Siri's potentially, um, he's gonna be out to start.
I've seen, but otherwise I mean, he's the biggest factor.
I think that's why the Raptors took it to seven.
Him not being there off the bench forces you to go.
Probably think Grant Williams absorbed his minutes.
Who again? You know, he's a kind of a gritty guy, but he doesn't produce a whole lot.
Um, so, I mean, Gordon Hayward would take the rest of his minutes and then see where we're at there.
But yeah, I think Miami they've had, you know, no serious injuries to worry about.
Had a couple guys banged up Kelly Olynyk Mr Game against the Bucks.
But other than that, nobody else missed any time, so that should be fine, I guess going back to back here, uh, tomorrow game one is gonna be first. I think at 5.
30 and then, um yeah, again, That came 78 o'clock.
So it should be fun.
And then if you're going to take, so we'll get you picked the Clippers.
That means we're moving on toe.
Lakers Clippers in the Western Conference finals.
Who do you take at that point? And and then we'll go and say the Nuggets swim.
Andi, we'll take a prediction there.
What do you think, Baker? You kind of like it again.
Try refreshing once and then I could maybe talk for a sec.
So I guess for me, if if I'm picking Lakers between Lakers Clippers, I'm going to go.
You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Lakers because they've been just consistent and not for the Clippers have been fighting.
You know, Dallas took him to six.
Denver's taking him to seven.
They've had enough rest where I think there's gonna be difficult to, you know, really stop LeBron and Anthony Davis.
I just can't see them doing that, you know, It's still a great matchup, I think.
But I'm still going to take the Lakers in that game.
Now it's Lakers Nuggets.
You know, obviously the Lakers gonna be heavy favorites.
No matter how you skew this Siris on how you look at this preview, Um, but I like to have the Nuggets given to games where, you know, give the Nuggets two games rather and say, the Lakers and six Just because there's always a random game from Yokich and there's always like this.
Enough consistency from Jamal Murray where you know they could get you a game, especially early in the Siri's, where the Lakers they've dropped both game ones so far.
So I mean, I think that's good.
Very, very possible.
Ah, Cam, I guess.
Go ahead, see if you're that's understandable.
Yeah, I said the Lakers for both as well.
Um, I think it's It's the LeBron and 80 thing, man.
Yeah, and I mean, the rest of the rest is obviously really playoff.
Having Rondo is really huge, Which for which surprised me because the first half of that Rocket Siri's I was like Jesus.
And then he started playing defense.
He started passing the ball smarter.
He started making jump shots, which is kind of important for him to dio um, Caruso was fantastic.
The other night made a couple huge plays.
And then when you have it, where it's Anthony Davis on Montrezl Harrell or Zoo Back, I mean, zoo box is going to get destroyed, Just shredded by Anthony.
My only question is they? So they didn't use JaVale McGee or Dwight Howard much at all, and that's because the Rockets were small.
Do you think they go back to that where they Anthony Davis goes back to the fore, and then or is it like a matchup by matchups? Type of thing where? I mean both teams.
You got your kitchen zoo bots? Um, they're not gonna e mean zoo bots is obviously not as impactful as you know.
There's no question about it, but, you know, do you still give him minutes where you know, Montrose becomes that backup center? The seventh man six man, I guess because he wanted six man off the bench.
Um, I don't know.
I still think they can fend off to an extent.
And if you know, this is the battle for L.
A, which in the regular season it was the Clippers that won two out of three, right? Was two out of three or 3 to 4 to three.
The Lakers did win the last one.
I'm pretty sure right before shutdown occurred, but, um, you can't take a whole lot of stacking of that just because, you know, that's a long time ago at this point.
But that is what we have to look at for matchups and and how they try to exploit each other.
I think you look at the coaching matchup of that, too, with Vogel doing a pretty decent job, you know, without, you know, they lost the game ones, whatever they adjusted.
And there was no other, uh, bumps in the road after, So I guess.
But, you know, Mike Malone has done a fantastic job, no question about it.
He, uh he's really shown that this team is, can contend with anybody.
I mean, they're the favorite against Utah, but they're down 31 They're not gonna bow out.
Even if the Jazz head of 10 point lead, they still found their way to get to a Game six in a Game seven and win it.
So I don't know.
I'm super excited for tomorrow's game.
It's gonna be another good game, said we haven't had a bad game seven yet.
So I think this is what, The third one? Yeah, because it was wrapped her Celtics and then, uh, Jazz Denver.
Everything else was six or below, I believe so.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I think you know, thunder rockets.
So for Yep, yep, that's right.
For that was a good one, too.
I mean, the thunder really blew their chance down the stretch there, but, you know, again, it was all very, very entertaining.
And everything goes out the window as soon as you know, if you're not making adjustments in the second quarter, you're toast.
Yeah, Um, I guess if you're not making the right adjustments, I should say, But then again, you know, the nuggets gonna raise a 20 point deficit, whatever they want.
So, yeah, I guess.
Any final, Any final thoughts? And we haven't done this every week like we used to, but I guess if anybody's listen, has a question in the chat, throw it in there.
You asked earlier about JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard and seeing if they're gonna be coming back, I think I think they will stick with what they've been doing for the time being, at least for the first game, just to feel it out, see what happens because their offense has been.
It's been way better offensively for them.
Toe have 80 running the five Morrison before.
Um, e mean, not even if he's not starting him coming off the bench and shoot threes doing that.
What are the odds that Morris twins I switch uniforms? Oh, uh, uh huh.
That would be interesting.
The problem is, they don't quite shoot the same.
So you can tell You can tell Market has a different sort of shot.
But I've always wondered.
I've always wondered if they've ever done that.
And if anybody's ever noticed because they play together in Phoenix, Um, yeah, there's been multiple times where I don't know what.
Did they go to college together? I'm assuming they did.
Probably because that's what they have. The same tattoos.
They wouldn't be recognizable.
There's just no way you couldn't you couldn't tell.
Um, but I don't know all that aside, the Morris twin zero take the hell out of me and I Marcus worse than Mark Keith.
But they but they both got into stupid technicals and stuff like they're always looking for trouble.
I still think they should be heavily fined or suspended because somebody's gonna get hurt at some point.
You saw it with Luca, where it was just really unnecessary.
And especially when you have a track record like he does.
If it's somebody, if it's literally anybody else, it's probably nobody cares about it or like Oh, that Z kind of weird, you know, we'll monitor it.
And then he's constantly continuing to double down, triple down, no matter what it is.
And at what point do you not just get clocked for that? I'm surprised.
I'm really surprised it hasn't happened yet.
Um, for all you know, Serge Ibaka throwing punches, you think he'd run into him or somebody just takes one, and then it takes one wrong guy to push, and that's like you're getting ejected.
You're gonna be suspended.
So I don't know.
We'll see Jackson today.
That's a good one.
Well, I was with the Bucks this year.
I was waiting for, You know, Robin Lopez or Finn.
OSCE is to do something crazy because they've both been in their history of fights, but it didn't happen once.
So Robert there's almost almost fought Jared Culver after Jared Culver dunked on him.
That that's the closest thing.
He's like our enforcer, and he's he doesn't take any.
And a B s from no, especially Rookie who shoots 46% from the free throw line, right? So I don't know, Um but I guess we don't know.
I guess other MBA stuff, you know, it's we don't know when the draft is gonna be, even though they've kind of tentatively said mid November and then free agency after that, I guess the one last thing before we get out of here, um, the start of next season.
Do you have a date in mind that you could predict and put a bet on for opening night? I think it would have to start because they said December was their initial wanting to start time.
But now it's Christmas Day is the earliest.
I'd say I'd say march because the Corona stuff hasn't gotten better since it started in the U. S.
So I don't think there's away unless they're going to go back to the bubble with all 30 teams, which first month of the season. That's not happening.
You can't do it.
Yeah, it's just not that's not gonna work.
So I understand that they're trying to do, or they're trying to postpone it as much as possible so they can have fans, you know? And I know that's a That's the lifeblood.
Ticket sales are the lifeblood of athletics and sports.
Um, but the disappointing part of this is they've already had a four plus month off season 48 teams that didn't show.
Um, you know, six more teams played eight games and they were done.
You know, I said this before they started.
It was Onley half of these teams and probably less are playing 20% of his nether season.
And then they're off again for months.
I wanted to say you should try to start it on time.
Um, you know, because I I understand the finals goes to like from a month away.
Let's say you do that, and then you could try and do something where you started like November, so you can try and do, like, a shortened season to get back to the normal calendar.
But I do understand you need ticket sales.
I know that Z to keep everybody afloat.
That's why the NFL, I mean, you see that stadium last night.
If you watch Sunday Night Football, My God, that stadium is That's one of the best things I've ever seen, and no one is there.
Nobody's got except for Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.
So it za $5 billion stadium that it's gorgeous, like they showed.
Yeah, and they got this already, too.
I mean, there there's a lot of stuff going on where you know if we're the longer this goes on, the more bleeding that occurs.
The more this the ramifications that come from the cap next year, Um, in any sport, you know, it's just, you know, the honest extension, all that comes into play if he doesn't wanna get to Supermax extension like, yeah, the Supermax extension is great.
But if it's half of what it was or whatever, like, it's just gonna prolong everything right to the point where it's not worth it, right? Yeah, so for him, because he's what he's going to get 200 58 or something.
Yeah, which is That's absurd.
But he'd get if if everything keeps going the way it is and the cap decreases.
We don't really know what that number is going to be for the cap decrease, but is he getting more than half of that? Honestly, I don't They don't have projections yet, so right, It affects the Supermax.
It effects the soft cap luxury text for sure.
Um, probably all the exceptions.
You know, they're going to play.
Yeah, but I don't I don't give you a date tonight.
I said I said march because I just don't think there's I don't think there's enough of an off season if you start any earlier, right? So But then they have to shorten this season, right? They can't just go and play 82 if they're trying to get back on schedule.
So and I mean, I am glad that they ended up finishing this out because I could totally see a nightmare with the c B A and a lockout.
And just like going back to 2012 I was painful.
Yeah, but yeah, So I think if I had to give you a date, I'm gonna I'm not gonna go with Christmas.
I'm going to go with I don't like saying this, but I'm gonna say like, all star break February, Um, and maybe, you know, they do what the NFL is doing with certain teams again.
You can have 20% or whatever the allowed threshold is.
I think it was about 20% for Kansas City.
Yeah, so they had, like, 16,000.
And that translates to maybe what, like, 3 4000 in an NBA arena? Because you're inside.
That's much worse than being outside.
So yeah, I'm not maybe 3000 tops and then you've got to spread them out.
And even then, like, you're not making any money from that.
Yeah, No, I mean because the the operation of having the game is going to cost more.
And that's the thing with the NFL.
They can maybe kind of get away with that because they only have 16 games, not 82.
Well, can they? That that just means it's that much more impactful.
Like you look ahead to the Super Bowl Super Bowl in February.
That's we're not looking good unless there's a vaccine.
And even if there's a vaccine, The mass distribution delays everything and yeah, it's just man.
And then, you know, you see countless videos of people trying to defy orders and everything, and it's just sad because we can't you think it would **** people off to the point where you know we're We want to get back to a regular where I could go to a concert.
I could go to a sporting event and not worry.
And some people don't worry, which is just how things are, Um, but you know, and I've been the stance of If you people really wanted to care about coronavirus, they would they would stop playing football, you know, they would stop.
They would stop altogether.
Say, Hey, we can no longer operate as is because it's not safe and we don't have were not allowed to because it's not safe.
So I don't know.
That's my unpopular take.
I think of the day is stopping all football.
I get it, but it's tough, man.
I mean, you saw with N b a, um, a couple weeks ago, where they decided to, you know, not play, and that was really turned some heads for a huge issue.
I just don't see this being much different.
I know the whole aspect of it is different, but the impact, the general impact, I think would be really, um, really moving, people like.
Okay, well, now I can no longer watch football.
Like what the hell? Let me get out here and let me, you know, it's really affecting everybody at that point, so but e don't think that would ever happen.
Yeah, it would definitely cause us cause havoc.
Yeah, people would be very, very upset, I But I'll leave people whose we're watching with this.
I don't wanna try to force anyone to do anything.
That's not where I am as a person.
I'm only 19 years old.
You're probably older than me.
Um, but wear a mask when you're going places, people.
People have said it doesn't work like but because they're not doing it.
That's why it doesn't work, right? Like there's so many people that are actually wearing the mask and they're going to parties.
They're going to social events and stuff.
That's part of the issue.
Um, so just, you know, just do it.
I know it sucks like you might not be as well, but for the greater, but yeah, yeah, I I just wish things you could get the rewind button, kind of go back and watch reevaluate things, and then I don't know, It's it's just kind of it's all come crashing down here, then we're the light is nowhere near the end of the tunnel, so All right.
Well, on that note, I think we're all excited for Game seven of the Western Conference semifinals to see what our Final Four is gonna look like.
We've got three out of the four slots filled.
Um, Game one of the Eastern Conference finals starts ahead of that game seven.
Um, I think they're both on ESPN.
If I'm not mistaking one of our they're split or something.
I know the last ones on ESPN that's gonna be a Mike Breen bang fest.
Um, which I that does that never get there.
By the way, they both are ever know my the first one that I remember was the reality shot.
And then it started to become this phenomenon after that.
And that was that was pretty cool. No.
Even just where the bucks don't get enough of you know national coverage, and then they finally get on here.
And just to hear him do a bucks bang is like, Yeah, I've never heard of temples, so I'm holding out hope for towns with a mic.
Yeah, Yeah, I'm open.
You guys get, you know, some type of a decent offices, and Malik Beasley gets his money, and then oh, you could maybe hunt for playoffs.
But I think it's there for you.
You know, you have a lot of questions with Houston.
They have a lot of questions with Oklahoma City.
And there's spots are open.
Even though people say the West is tough, man, there's there's always room to slide in there.
So already that's gonna be it.
Usually the roll around.
That's gonna do it for us.
