00:00:03
Welcome back to sports headlines, essays, prime time.
00:00:07
He's back at least a three game show.
00:00:09
Welcome back on Sean Davis wrapping my Lakers tonight, joined by Warners, and we'll be joined by the founder across over 3 65.
00:00:18
All went in.
00:00:19
There he is, Lakers Central, Alex Holland or Hollings.
00:00:21
Is the Holland like it? All right, Collinsworth man, how's it going? Good.
00:00:25
Thank you for having or thank you for joining Rather and really quickly, really quickly before we get started.
00:00:33
I saw your tweet about the mama mentality, but how far you into the book? Because I started not too long ago.
00:00:39
A swell. I mean, like, 60 pages deep.
00:00:42
I think I'm somewhere around like page 101 Man.
00:00:45
I've had it for a while.
00:00:46
When I every now and then I go in there and I read a few pages.
00:00:49
And then I just happened to be downstairs.
00:00:51
My wife, she was reading a book and I picked it up and just started going through it.
00:00:54
Man, I figured tonight was a great time. Thio.
00:00:57
They go ahead and open up Kobe's Bookman and hopefully we get this win and close this thing out and get to the Western Conference finals.
00:01:04
Yeah, give you as much rest as possible.
00:01:06
The Clippers are a team.
00:01:07
You don't want to get them rest, too, But let's get right into it here.
00:01:11
So Game five tonight.
00:01:12
Lakers Rockets been a weird Siris of Game one. The Lakers.
00:01:17
The Rockets beat the Lakers, Uh, in Game one, and then the Lakers have looked dominant.
00:01:23
Games 234 Alex, we could start with you on this one was what had been most impressed about from the Lakers in this series so far.
00:01:32
Their adjustments. Man.
00:01:34
I mean, Game one.
00:01:35
The Rockets came out and beat us, right? And I.
00:01:38
The Rockets were going to be a difficult matchup because their style of play is kind of unorthodox.
00:01:43
The Lakers run to run three.
00:01:44
Big three. Big lineup.
00:01:46
The Lakers, the Rockets, Don't they run? Basically, anybody at 65 and smaller, right? So I figured that they would be a difficulty, um, matchup.
00:01:55
But since that that Game one, you know, Vogel's went to playing a team or at the five, even though Anthony Davis, if you notice when the game starts like the last game 80 is not listed as the center.
00:02:07
Markieff is listed as the center, um, for whatever reason, but eighties playing more five.
00:02:13
They were playing more marquee.
00:02:15
You know, you're saying coups play a lot more.
00:02:18
They're playing small.
00:02:19
Well, small for the Lakers, right? I mean, right, 86 10 Marquita, 69 LeBron is 69 You know Casey pH 6465 Danny Greece, 67 So even when we go small, we're still significantly bigger than the Rockets.
00:02:38
Yeah.
00:02:40
Yeah.
00:02:41
I want to say kudos to Frank Vogel for finally finally realizing that finally reason that realizing that the two big lineup really three big line about you point out, uh, was not working at all.
00:02:56
Um, but, you know, it's it's just the As you said, the adjustments that are that are key in a series like this.
00:03:04
I think there's got to be a lot more to come, especially into clippers.
00:03:07
Migrating, um, from a team like Houston to a team like the Clippers, and it's gonna be a big test for this Lakers team.
00:03:17
Yeah, what's really impressed me in this Siri's is how the depth that really talked about well, people say the Lakers have no death.
00:03:29
Well, they kind of shut people of this.
00:03:31
Siri especially gained four.
00:03:33
Where LeBron didn't need tohave.
00:03:35
UH, what was his game 37 with 36 like, 11 or what? He didn't need to have that for them.
00:03:41
The win game point.
00:03:42
It was a wider wire when except that terrible fourth quarter by the Lakers.
00:03:47
What Caruso pitch named 16 playoff Rondo is a real thing.
00:03:53
If you've been living under a rock for the past seven years, he's a real thing.
00:03:57
Um, Cal Koosman hasn't been terrific, but he still gives you quality minutes.
00:04:02
Um, Danny Green and Casey.
00:04:05
People like four from eight from three in Game four and then a d.
00:04:08
Obviously doing his thing as well.
00:04:11
So I'm all the way that everybody is like, really played well, this Siri's and they they've had to, because Harden and Westbrook have are two of the better guards in the league, and they've done a great job defensively after Game one, adjusting to Alabama, say the speed of the Rockets, Um, but has also Frank Google's you guys have already mentioned.
00:04:33
I mean, like you said man Rondo, like so I'm not a I'm not a big fan of the playoff Rondo thing, but I will say this.
00:04:42
Do this play well, since he came back from injury, he's been great, and you've got to get credit where credit is due, man, and so shout out to Rondo.
00:04:50
He's come back.
00:04:51
He's controlled the pace.
00:04:53
He's played well and honestly, you know, left You, said Warner.
00:04:57
Vogel's adjustments, whether it be going to kind of a smaller lineup or trapping trapping, Ah, James Harden.
00:05:04
The Rockets have had no idea what to do with the Lakers double teaming and trapping James hard.
00:05:10
If they're complaining, you know, I see a lot of Rockets fans on Twitter complaining that the Lakers are double teaming him.
00:05:15
Well, like, you know, I'm a huge Kobe fan, right? Like you don't just like Kobe go for 50.
00:05:21
You didn't just like Jordan 50.
00:05:23
I mean, you had to double team them.
00:05:26
Now.
00:05:27
The difference between James Harden and Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, is that well, you know what? It's funny.
00:05:33
Let me step back for a second.
00:05:34
I was reading amount of mentality book right, and Kobe talked about that three pointer he hit on the final.
00:05:40
Siri's against Detroit.
00:05:41
The only game that we won against Detroit? No, for we end up losing that Syria, but the one game we won, Kobe said.
00:05:47
No matter what happened at the end of that game, he was going to get that last shot.
00:05:51
He was gonna do whatever it took to get that shot.
00:05:54
What you see, what you see in this Rocket syriza's that when James Harden gets double team, he passes the ball and he doesn't fight to get the ball back at all.
00:06:04
Like he passes the ball off and then he kind of stands at the three point line.
00:06:08
He just like, What do I do? He doesn't.
00:06:11
I mean, if you're a great offensive player and Harden is a great offensive player, but if you're a good is like he thinks he is, you go get the ball back, man.
00:06:19
But the Rockets have had no idea what to do with the Lakers trapping James Harden, and it's worked.
00:06:25
And so I'm curious to see if the Rockets making adjustment tonight against the Lakers.
00:06:29
But so far the Lakers have just been too much and one more point.
00:06:32
I wanna make Anthony Davis guarding Russell Westbrook.
00:06:36
That's crazy.
00:06:37
And it's been effective.
00:06:39
Like how many teams have a 6 10 guy that can garden explosive guard like That's crazy.
00:06:45
Hey, Sean, remember when I mentioned something about Anthony Davis being the guy who had to stop Westbrook in the paint when we were talking about our recall? You saying that you're going me saying that? I just want to point that out a little bragging point of view really quickly.
00:07:03
We mentioned this on our episode thinkers yesterday.
00:07:06
Anthony Davis.
00:07:07
They like to play nine games in the playoffs so far, 7 80 s head, at least 25 points and 10 rebounds.
00:07:15
That's the most since Shock did it back in.
00:07:17
04 so let's go to the other L A team really quickly.
00:07:23
I almost died watching that Nuggets game last night.
00:07:26
I hate watching the Nuggets play.
00:07:28
They don't play defense and offense is all tough shots.
00:07:32
But anyway, Alex, is there any real chance Denver wins Game six and we get a Game seven and even Denver potentially wins Game seven in the Clippers 50 year conference finals.
00:07:48
I guess not going.
00:07:49
Their streak continues there's always a chance.
00:07:54
I mean, Denver is a good team, you know? I'm saying like the Clippers screwed up last night because the Clippers behave like a franchise or like a team that's actually 1 16 championship.
00:08:06
The Clippers act like the Lakers should act right, like the Clippers run this whole campaign streetlights over spotlight.
00:08:12
Yet they act like they won 16 championships and they have not.
00:08:16
Right.
00:08:17
So, you know, Marcus Morris gets into it with, uh, with one of the players from Denver last night on and, yeah, Paul Millsap get to the park.
00:08:27
And then that kind of that kind of turned the game around right? And so Denver can get hot, man.
00:08:33
I mean, even though they've been outclassed, this entire Siri's, um, Yokich has completely been better than than big zoo.
00:08:41
Trez can't do anything with them.
00:08:43
They can't do anything with your kids, right? Murray has been a bit weak, this Siri's.
00:08:48
But as we saw in the Utah, Siri's Murray could go for 40 or 52 or three games in a row.
00:08:54
And then what? Right? We've also seen a Paul George.
00:08:57
He can go really quiet for three or four games in a row also, so you don't want to get in a shootout for Denver? Um, look, I think the Clippers win this Siri's.
00:09:07
But Denver has a shot.
00:09:10
You know, I'm saying like the Clippers should have closed them out last night.
00:09:14
Should be about 20 last night for being honest, to not close them out.
00:09:19
I mean, if Denver forces a Game seven gotta be nervous, the covers have to be nervous, man.
00:09:27
Foreign, especially with that kind of lack of rest.
00:09:30
I mean, it's good to get the action in, but you know, the Lakers there would be hot off beating the Rockets in at most six games of Houston.
00:09:38
Takes the tonight's game.
00:09:40
Um, and and you know, they've got some rest.
00:09:42
But it's not like they had, like, you know, they in the NFL.
00:09:46
They benched the starters for weeks 17 and they got a first round bye.
00:09:50
They haven't played in two weeks.
00:09:51
These guys just played like, three or four days ago, and they're they're well rested. They're anxious.
00:09:56
They want to get into this Siri's.
00:09:58
They want to show who is the better l.
00:10:00
A team really.
00:10:01
Shut up the Clippers.
00:10:02
As you said, the Clippers are acting like they've won, uh, multiple championships, 16 as you said, which they definitely haven't.
00:10:09
And they have definitely been the smaller of the two l A teams for a long as they have existed.
00:10:15
And I think that's kind of banging on a little bit of the Lakers nerves.
00:10:19
And, you know, it's just it's a detriment to them, um, their their death line.
00:10:25
I really didn't play together in the regular season, which I think is hurting them a little bit in the playoffs.
00:10:30
And once they, you know, play this well oiled Lakers team, Um, in the comments final, Assuming they don't get beat by the Nuggets, then I think they're really gonna be in for in for something.
00:10:41
Um, you know, I think everybody would say that the Lakers are much more well oiled, cohesive team than the Nuggets.
00:10:48
They play smoother and just more cohesively, and I think that's that's gonna be a little bit of weakness for the Clippers.
00:10:56
Look, man, one thing.
00:10:58
One thing people overlook on the Clippers see me quite has been too multiple championships.
00:11:03
Right? So Hawaii has been there.
00:11:05
Everybody else? Yeah, e mean Doc has been there, but Doc's teams have underachieved.
00:11:12
It's Celtics.
00:11:13
Seems that that Boston team acts like they won three in a row.
00:11:16
They want one.
00:11:18
Yeah, they behave like they won three in a row.
00:11:21
They won one time His his lob.
00:11:23
City Clippers didn't win it all back.
00:11:26
They didn't win one.
00:11:28
They they never got to the finals at all.
00:11:32
Right, So Doc Rivers teams has underachieved and then you look at the rest of that Clippers roster.
00:11:38
Nobody else has been there.
00:11:39
I mean, Paul George, certainly.
00:11:41
You know, the Indiana Pacers battled LeBron and, you know, in in the Eastern Conference finals.
00:11:45
But as we've seen in the playoffs, Paul George he gets really shaky in the playoffs, right in a game situation.
00:11:52
So if you get into a Game seven with Denver, it's a toss up, man.
00:11:57
Like you've got quiet.
00:11:58
And if you've got the y, you should be good to go, right? But do you really want to get in a shootout with Denver in a Game seven? I don't know if you wanna wanna go down that route and thank you, Alex, because I look like the bad guy on her show constantly Because I said, Alright, Paul George is not a top 20 player.
00:12:17
He's not.
00:12:18
Yeah, I think e think he's a top 20 player.
00:12:23
Okay, okay.
00:12:25
Wait, wait, wait. Don't have my list on me.
00:12:27
If you don't mind.
00:12:28
If you don't mind, I'm gonna read off 20 toe like 12.
00:12:32
And if you disagree with anything, let me know.
00:12:35
So let's start for 20.
00:12:37
Where'd you go, Bear? 19.
00:12:40
Bradley, Bill 18.
00:12:42
This was before the playoffs and before the playing games 18 Jayson Tatum, 17 Chris Paul 16 Trae Young 15.
00:12:51
Klay Thompson, 14 Westbrook 13 Jimmy Buckets 12 Nicola Yokich 11 Kyrie 10 n b.
00:12:59
Alright, So here I would say this one take play out because he's interested this season.
00:13:03
Take I really because the injured most of the season, Westbrook, I'd say Paul George is better than Westbrook right now.
00:13:08
Um, well, yeah, M b and B.
00:13:10
Certainly better, I say and beat the top 10 player.
00:13:13
Um, Trey, I take Paul George over Trey, man, I mean trade.
00:13:20
What year? Year, too.
00:13:22
I take Paul George Betrayed, like in a play.
00:13:26
If you're building a team like a decade out you take Trey.
00:13:28
But, like, right now, I think you take Paul. George.
00:13:31
But Paul George is the top 20 player, man.
00:13:34
I could probably make an argument.
00:13:36
He stop.
00:13:37
I was I I agree with you completely, Alex.
00:13:41
And I was smiling because Sean got got into it a little bit about Paul.
00:13:46
George is playoff success because you guys were making them out to be like I wish is completely appalled, George Hayter.
00:13:54
When we were we had interview with Sabrina Merchant from, uh, Dangle wasn't silver screen and roll.
00:14:01
She also does stuff for explanation for the Clippers side.
00:14:04
I just said that he has not played well in the playoffs, sent his earlier pacers there.
00:14:12
All right, thank you.
00:14:13
But that doesn't That doesn't mean that he is not a top 20.
00:14:16
Put like sometimes guys just better is like number two than number one.
00:14:20
Like he, he has the skill set to be number one.
00:14:23
He just is not a number one.
00:14:25
That's just the thing.
00:14:26
You know, I'm saying, but it's hard.
00:14:28
I can't imagine to be 20 guys better than Paul George.
00:14:31
Like he is a bad boy.
00:14:35
Sean might not have felt it this year because of all the kind of clippers not liking the Clippers.
00:14:41
Okay, Way isn't biased joke.
00:14:47
But Katy is the second best player after a torn Achilles when he's healthy.
00:14:51
But he's not going to be the same player after Achilles.
00:14:55
Okay, whatever. Whatever.
00:14:57
80 Katie, 80% is the top five player.
00:14:59
I don't care what you're talking about.
00:15:01
All right? Okay.
00:15:02
A Katie, 80% top top five player.
00:15:07
Yes.
00:15:08
Oh, no, my friend.
00:15:10
80%.
00:15:12
80% can help.
00:15:14
Player healthy.
00:15:15
Katie is a second best player in the NBA, Right, But at 80%.
00:15:21
So let's say 80%. Katie.
00:15:23
So you've got lebron you in any particular order, and I'm not saying in 125 just any particular order you've got.
00:15:30
LeBron, you've got Johannes.
00:15:32
You've got Katie, right? So I mean, LeBron Yannis, and quiet those three automatics, right? Anthony Davis is top five.
00:15:41
I think you can like toe.
00:15:43
I had been at least eso.
00:15:47
Um who else? Who else? We, um I leaving out.
00:15:49
Um, you gotta put Steph for Damian Lillard in their game.
00:15:53
Top five.
00:15:54
No game is not top five.
00:15:56
Healthy step is top five.
00:15:57
I think I e.
00:15:58
I think Harden is top five.
00:15:59
Also, like hard might be hard my playoff struggles.
00:16:03
But Harden, you can't have a 38 points and not be a top five player like that's not.
00:16:08
That's not, You know, I'm saying like that's not easy.
00:16:12
So he don't have to say he's benefiting from the D'Antoni's system a little bit.
00:16:17
I mean, he's lethal score, but I think his numbers might be slightly inflated.
00:16:22
No, I agree with that part.
00:16:24
I just 80 80% So 80% k d eso.
00:16:30
Let's put it this way, man.
00:16:32
We still what Kobe looked like.
00:16:34
Obviously, Kobe was later in his career, 57.
00:16:38
At that point, I mean year 17 when he tore his Achilles.
00:16:42
But when Kobe tours Achilles, he was averaging 27 5 and five, and he was willing the Lakers to the playoffs.
00:16:48
He had 12 game winners that year was killing it.
00:16:51
He tore his Achilles, and he never looked the same.
00:16:53
Katie is 7 ft tall, like when a seven footer terraces.
00:16:58
Achilles like DeMarcus cousins, cousins.
00:17:00
One of the most skilled big man in the NBA has doesn't look the same.
00:17:05
It's slightly different, actually.
00:17:08
When buggy came back, he looks good.
00:17:10
And then he towards Quad Z leads to other issues when you're that size.
00:17:17
So it's not like Katie is, like, 66 where? You know, I'm saying, like at six at 6 11 7 ft.
00:17:24
I don't even think he played 50 games next year.
00:17:27
You're You're carrying more weight.
00:17:28
You got me on you more and more from the injury re injury.
00:17:33
Uh, Katie, it does have that polished game where you can shoot a three from 40 ft out.
00:17:38
Or he can He can go ahead and post, arise somebody.
00:17:41
He will, people.
00:17:43
He will be able to shoot over anybody.
00:17:45
When he's 70 years old, he can shoot over anybody.
00:17:48
But what makes him special ways he could shoot over you and get to the basket.
00:17:51
And once your Achilles goes, you lose your ex some of your explosion.
00:17:55
And if he loses his explosion, he has no way to top five player.
00:17:59
I don't want to see what I hope Katie goes dropped 28 next year so I could look like this morning.
00:18:06
He does freaking person on the planet.
00:18:08
I hope he does that.
00:18:10
But I'm a Katie fan, man.
00:18:12
I hope.
00:18:13
I hope he comes back healthy.
00:18:14
I really do.
00:18:15
But 80% Katie, top five.
00:18:18
I mean, because where does that? Where do you put Luca? True Luca next year.
00:18:23
I mean, if he keeps improving to this pace.
00:18:25
Yeah, I mean, Luca, next year, I And even if LeBron takes a slight dip, LeBron still top five.
00:18:33
I don't see where Katie fits into that point.
00:18:36
I think you're underestimating the severity of an Achille Sean.
00:18:39
If it was like, yes, yell. Okay.
00:18:41
Hey.
00:18:42
Might be just like Alex.
00:18:45
Carry the whole argument.
00:18:46
And that was like, Yep, that's absolutely right.
00:18:49
I don't think your stop.
00:18:52
I've been saying this stuff for a while, but it's time you hear it from a different mouth.
00:18:55
So you believe? Sure.
00:18:58
Um, let's switch back to tonight's game of Game five.
00:19:01
Lakers rockets.
00:19:02
Um, let's sort of Warner Warner.
00:19:04
Who would you say is the biggest X factor for both teams? And I know Daniel House, as Warren has made very clear in our team group chat, I swear.
00:19:13
I've just, like, had a mute it.
00:19:15
It's getting very I don't even know what the word is.
00:19:18
Well, wonder who's the biggest X factor for both teams tonight? I think if Daniel House was playing, you would definitely be House.
00:19:25
And I think the lack of houses really gonna affect Houston.
00:19:28
I've got to say their biggest X factors still gonna be James Harden, even though, you know, he's kind of obvious answer like, Why don't you pick somebody who's who has a little bit less of a role, See if they can step up.
00:19:42
It's going to fall on the shoulders of James Harden, as it does every every playoff year playoff series for the Rockets.
00:19:50
And if he doesn't perform, um, to, you know, his you know, 30.
00:19:57
We're making, you know, good good passes, not turning the ball over and maybe creating a few turnovers himself.
00:20:04
Then, um, I think the Rockets have a really good shot to win this game.
00:20:09
But if Harden, um you know, let's let's the Lakers kind of trap him, doesn't fight for the ball back.
00:20:16
Um, then then you know they're gonna be able to limit him in some way.
00:20:20
And while he might score 30 points, it's still gonna be a different game, Um, that the Rockets are trying to play, and they're gonna be playing from behind all night.
00:20:29
What about from the Lakers side of things? Um, from the Lakers? I think it's gotta be.
00:20:36
I think it's gonna be Danny Green.
00:20:37
We've seen KCP and Green both kind of turn, turn tides, Um, after, you know, not shooting and then missing all the shots.
00:20:45
Now they're starting to hit those shots that were taken.
00:20:48
Um, I think it's gonna be, you know, if one of those two can really, um, you know, catch fire.
00:20:54
I think the Lakers would run away with this game, even if Harden really, you know, plays like regular season harden.
00:21:03
Well, that won't happen because it's the playoffs.
00:21:05
I'm joking. Go ahead, Alex.
00:21:07
Eso for the Rockets, man.
00:21:09
I agree with one.
00:21:10
I think Harden needs to step up like he he needs some help.
00:21:13
The other guys need to hit some shots, but unfortunately, with the NBA comes down to the superstars, and either the superstar carries the team or he's the one that gets bashed that they lose.
00:21:24
So I think it comes down to hard on the Laker side.
00:21:27
Um the The X factor is the Lakers bench.
00:21:31
LeBron and Anthony Davis.
00:21:32
They're gonna be LeBron Anthony Davis.
00:21:33
They've shown off Syria's Houston can't do anything with them.
00:21:36
Um, but there's not one player on the Lakers bench for me that needs to be better than the rest of the bench players.
00:21:43
But what you did see, you've seen markets. Mark Keith. More.
00:21:46
Step up.
00:21:47
You've seen Alex Caruso have a good game.
00:21:48
You've seen Rondo have a great game like they're They're kind of doing it as a committee.
00:21:53
And this is a game where the bench, you know, the role players, so to speak, me to come out and get some shots play defense.
00:22:02
Because last game, Houston was like shell shocked. They were demoralized.
00:22:06
They were stalking like they looked like they wanted to go home, and the Lakers need to get need to come out with that same intensity tonight and wrap this thing up early on, knock him out.
00:22:16
But I want to see the benches. Some shots.
00:22:18
I don't want to see LeBron have to play 40 minutes, have to come back in like he did the other night, when when the game kinda got away from the Lakers and Houston kind of went on a run.
00:22:27
I want to see the bench step up.
00:22:30
Yeah, from from the rocket side things you guys both said hardened.
00:22:34
So I'm gonna try toe divert from that, pick somebody differently.
00:22:37
Here, Um, I think that's a couple of options.
00:22:41
Robert Covington has to step up, I think, to give Harden some support.
00:22:45
He played big time in that thunder. Siri's.
00:22:48
Can he do that tonight? Eric Gordon is another guy.
00:22:51
He will get myself that game, too.
00:22:53
I think the Lakers were out big, and in that third quarter it was the Eric Gordon Show, late night with Eric Gordon in the bubble, and he really kept them in that game.
00:23:03
Lakers did eventually pulled away, but was really Eric Gordon.
00:23:06
They kept him in that and Ken Russell Westbrook look like he's a superstar.
00:23:11
Players still, and I've said on numerous occasions that is not hardened.
00:23:15
It's rust that benefits from this five out isolation ball the most, because if Harden drives gets double teams and Russ is right there, he's gonna get the ball on the catch.
00:23:27
He's driving towards the room and it's either a kick out on the corner or it's a dunk.
00:23:31
Or Russell Westbrook.
00:23:32
So, um, can rush plays like a superstar tonight and for the Lakers side of things? Um e think kcp maybe kcp the Danny Green's.
00:23:43
I guess I kind of agree with Alexa's well, here.
00:23:45
Um, you know what? Lebron's canoe while the way LeBron and close out games? Um, they're 14 and won their last 15 close out games, and he's averaged 29 9 and eight in those close games.
00:24:00
So we know what LeBron's gonna dio mean. No.
00:24:02
80 has been doing in this playoffs.
00:24:04
It's everybody else.
00:24:05
What are they gonna need toe closes out and give them? And at least an extra day arrest opposed to the Clippers? So, what do you guys corporations? Mhm.
00:24:19
Yeah.
00:24:21
I don't know, man.
00:24:22
It's weird because, you know, the game could kind of be high scoring.
00:24:24
Or it could be low just depending on the shooting.
00:24:26
Um e mean, I think both teams break 100.
00:24:30
Um, but over to 16.5.
00:24:34
All right.
00:24:35
Oh, okay.
00:24:40
I'd say over I think I think over over by a lot over.
00:24:47
It's personally Houston wants to win over.
00:24:50
I don't think Houston is gonna win.
00:24:51
I think it's gonna be over.
00:24:52
But not by that much.
00:24:53
Maybe 8 to 10 points.
00:24:56
Um, yeah.
00:24:57
I think the Lakers gonna take this one in advance to the Western Conference finals Just the way that they've kind of handled the Rockets these last four games or three games.
00:25:06
Just, you know, the Rockets have to show me otherwise.
00:25:10
If the Lakers can get out to a double digit lead in the third and maybe take that to the fourth e.
00:25:15
I mean, at that point, the Rockets will pull their starters and the game will be over.
00:25:18
So, um, that's that's That's what I hope happens.
00:25:22
I don't want, you know, I want the Lakers to win under every cir***stance, but I want them to blow them out and get this thing over with.
00:25:30
Yeah, what? One of the final questions.
00:25:33
Rather so in the East, the Eastern Conference finals matchup a set for that.
00:25:39
He and the Celtic men wanna We're talking about it.
00:25:42
Pregame are free.
00:25:44
This? Yeah.
00:25:45
Um pregame.
00:25:46
Pretty pregame.
00:25:48
Um who would you rather face out of the Celtics in the heat? They're both tough matchups and schematically.
00:25:55
I know who I would rather face, but who would you rather face in that seriously, as a Lakers fan? I mean, just as a as a fan man.
00:26:04
Boston L a Celtics Lakers.
00:26:07
I mean, that's the NBA would probably love that, you know? So I'd say that, um, we beat the heat.
00:26:16
We beat Boston this year.
00:26:18
Both teams are gonna be tough, no matter what.
00:26:20
I mean, they both play defense.
00:26:21
They both have athletic wings, their shooters there, I think Boston and the heater going to be in a dog fight.
00:26:28
Um, I could see that Syria's going six or seven games.
00:26:32
Um, but it just as a fan, And I don't like Boston at all.
00:26:38
I'd like to see him get bounced out.
00:26:39
But I love Jason Tatum.
00:26:41
I hate the Celtics.
00:26:42
Yeah, I think from a historical perspective, I think that the MBA would love to see a Boston, you know? Ah, Celtics, Lakers finals.
00:26:49
Yeah, um, for me, it's also gotta be Boston.
00:26:53
But for the Lakers have gone through probably the most dangerous eighth seed in N B.
00:26:57
A history to the rockets with do of harder than Westbrook Thio going through potentially the Clippers.
00:27:05
And then they get ring number 17 for Kobe, beating LeBron two greatest rival ever and the Lakers greatest rival ever. To get number 17.
00:27:15
That's got to be Boston.
00:27:17
Yeah, I think that might shut up Warren a little bit on.
00:27:21
LeBron had an easy path to the finals, too, but for my pick, a za fan and as somebody who you know, watches the NBA and enjoy doing it, got to say, Boston just because you said the historical precedent.
00:27:35
But if I'm the Lakers, I want to face the heat.
00:27:38
And there's really one reason why I think a D can have more of an impact against Bam than he can against Thais.
00:27:46
And Bam Bam played a larger role is what I'm saying in the heat.
00:27:51
Then Thais does in the Celtics and also that he don't have as many guys that can, you know, create and dropped 25 off the dribble.
00:27:57
Any given night like the Celtics do.
00:28:00
Um, I will say I will say this, however, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it be the perfect end of the season to see a team like the Heat you just went all in and win Now mode.
00:28:13
Come in In this competitive, um, you know, season, you have LeBron coming back from injury with the Lakers not making the playoffs last year? No, really, a bunch of star, a bunch of teams with two stars, and I think it would just It would be a classic way to end the season and tough down to the wire.
00:28:34
Seven game.
00:28:35
Siri's maybe a few overtimes in those seven games, and I think either way, either team that we get is gonna be a great end of the season.
00:28:43
Yeah, the heat, the heat.
00:28:44
They've done a great job this year, man.
00:28:46
And you still got the LeBron Miami connection because he used to play there.
00:28:49
Pat Riley used to coach the Lakers.
00:28:52
You know it.
00:28:53
Whatever happened, if the Lakers make it to the finals, Um, it'll be a phenomenal story for the MBA.
00:29:02
Yeah, yeah, I'm looking forward to that Eastern Conference finals.
00:29:07
Much.
00:29:08
I make the tab ITM or the Lakers Clippers because I knew Lakers Clippers was coming and I think spoke.
00:29:13
The fact that he wasn't a finalist for Coach of the Year is disrespectful.
00:29:17
as ever.
00:29:18
He's yes, just disrespectful.
00:29:20
Um, we're gonna do flip the table.
00:29:23
We haven't done in a while.
00:29:24
Eso wanted to explain what book the table lists as we close the S H pregame show.
00:29:30
Yes.
00:29:31
So basically, whoever we have on the show can ask Sean or myself for both of us.
00:29:36
Any question? Really? It could be about the show.
00:29:38
It could be about sports.
00:29:39
It could be about personal life.
00:29:41
Eso go ahead and put the table for us.
00:29:43
Warner typically tries toe flip his table and normally fails miserably just for reference.
00:29:49
I don't want to mess up the set up, man.
00:29:51
That's that will take a while to get back together.
00:29:54
Yeah, well, ask you guys, man.
00:29:56
Well, um, alright, in both of you, just historically.
00:29:59
Who's your favorite basketball player of all time? I think LeBron the generic answer bubble goes my favorite player besides LeBron Chris, Paul outside of LeBron Chris.
00:30:10
Paul's the guy that got me in the basketball just watching how he controlled the game in his prime and got everybody involved offensively then.
00:30:21
His prime, uh, constant, all MBA defender.
00:30:25
All n b a defensive teeny player.
00:30:27
So, Chris Paul, one of my favorite players Will Shaun's more in the basketball than I am? I'm going to preface that by saying by saying that, um, I think my favorite player right now is probably Damian Lillard.
00:30:42
I just love the way he plays the competitive fire.
00:30:44
He asked, um, and especially a little banter he had with the Clippers.
00:30:48
That was That was amazing.
00:30:49
Um, when in this great I was like Dagget, clippers, they do next three games.
00:30:58
So 60 45 50.
00:31:01
They get ready to face us in the first round.
00:31:05
The president, I think he's my favorite player right now.
00:31:08
And then I think, um, you know, not not too old school.
00:31:14
I think I got to go.
00:31:15
I know this might offend you both because you're both Lakers fans, but I think I got to go.
00:31:19
Larry Bird.
00:31:20
I think he's a little bit under appreciated, um, in and kind of how much you mentioned the MBA, Uh, being being that real wing who could shoot from anywhere he was.
00:31:30
He was a really underrated passer.
00:31:33
Um, and you know, I think a lot of guys he gets outshined by a lot of guys and I'm not sure he deserves it that much.
00:31:41
That's because he played in the air with the greatest point guard of all time.
00:31:45
True in the second greatest point guard of all time.
00:31:48
So that's that Bird Birds of bad Boy.
00:31:52
He's one of the greatest players of all time, whether the Celtic or not. Man Bird.
00:31:58
Bill Russell, two of the greatest players of all time.
00:32:00
In my book, I I think, well, it's better than Bill Russell.
00:32:04
Still, despite the rings well, you know Bill Russell did play with six Hall of Famers at one time, and that's Ah, you know, that can't be understated.
00:32:14
So Well, what will did that? That's just crazy. Special.
00:32:19
Yep, Open invitation.
00:32:23
Jason Kidd.
00:32:24
If we won the title this year, I'm sending you an email, All right, but so I'm assuming everybody got Lakers waiting tonight.
00:32:33
Well, I got Lakers wait tonight.
00:32:35
Obviously, um, Lakers need to close this out because they, the Lakers and Clippers both finished The Siri's often six reminded the Clippers get an extra day of rest opposed to the Lakers, so must win game.
00:32:50
Maybe it stretched with the Lakers.
00:32:52
I would love standing finish off tonight.
00:32:54
Game five, Lakers.
00:32:56
Uh, Lakers Rockets.
00:32:58
Go watch that Now, on ABC and essays, primetime will continue.

00:33:02
Hopefully shortly.
