Uh, Jerome is involved in a lot of stuff over here, man.
He is the, um, CEO of J A B sports.
Um, he is a writer for unwrapped sports.
Uh, sports lover, NFL, Twitter, MBA, Twitter.
He's in that he's involved.

So they could definitely get you involved and get rolling here.
It's the best time, not NFL's just started.
So it's the best time to start, right? Perfect.
We're in the sweet spot, man.
We got the start of NFL tonight getting the ball rolling on that N b A playoffs in full swing, but right around the corner from the conference finals in both conferences.
I mean, this is primetime, man.
This is where is where you make the big bucks.
Right here, buddy. Time.
Uh, but Jerome, man, it's time to get in depth with what we got going in the NBA playoffs.
So, um, as we all know, we had an epic second round.
Siri's with Miami, Milwaukee on Lee went five games.
And those people that are on Twitter saying heat and six man, they look good right now, like I do not even have Miami went in the Siri's.
And I mean, you took bucks.
I took the bucks.
I took the bucks.
I had him in six.
I was trying to be a realist man.
I didn't want to get caught up in the sauce and the bias of wanna keep it even killed.
So I gave Milwaukee the benefit of the doubt, and it went the other way which I mean, if you look at, if you really think about it, it's a win win because, you know, I picked the bucks and you know they lost.
But, you know, my guys moved on.
So, e guess I ended up making out. Either way. It's all good.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Came out on top.
But specifically, man, what I want to discuss from the Siri's is Yannis in particular, Um, and specifically his future.
Because Yanis is one of the faces of our league and everybody is taking a microscope to his career right now.
His game or what he's lacking in his game.
He's taking a lot of shots here on all airwaves on Twitter.
Heavy is the head that wears the crown, man.
I mean, and And he did that to he wanted a crown on.
So exactly, And do you feel like if he had the crown that he was de crowned after how this series unfolded? Honestly for me personally, like I actually just went on my podcast and said, Yes, I want the people that think honesty is overrated.
Yeah, I think, And just off the crown comment you're saying the like the accolades are excellent.
The MVPs and almost likely to meet the two time M V P.
But the performance doesn't follow the athletes defensive player of the year.
You know the MVPs, the all NBA first team, like All Star team captain like those are not really matching up, right? Exactly when it comes to me and Bob Johnson performance in his future, Um, I just think, Well, he had a lot to think about.
You know what I mean? The team is kind of strapped players talking about retirement here.
You know what I'm saying? Team didn't really perform players around you, Honest.
Jonah's didn't perform, you know, he shows that he's extremely flawed.
Hey, has a lot to his game.
So the crown comment.
I think he's been deep round.
I never crowned him personally, but yeah, essentially, Yeah, for that performance.
Yeah, yeah, man.
And I think the biggest issue, like I went on Twitter earlier, and I just basically said that e he's got a lot of flak right now.
He does deserve some criticism, but I think a little bit overblown because he was fantastic.
You go back and look at this averages.
I mean, 27 14 still about 50% shooting from the field.
That was still lighten it up, right? It's not like you just drop the debt every game.
My issue with him where he came up short was the closing minutes because it was close in that Syria's one through five.
They all came down to, like what the last? Maybe minute, within five points.
Either way, time and the big stat I wanna highlight for him is his free throw percentage in the fourth quarters.
So I went down to basketball reference narrative down to fourth quarters.
Or actually, I think the n b a dot com 41% free throw shooting in fourth quarters like there's no there's no way you could be reading a crown, shooting like not under 60 not under 50 but, like almost under food.
Yeah, what I'm saying, like, there's no way because we're talking about people who you know, King James King James has a crown, you know, all the top players and you could go top five top 10.
Nobody in that range that I can think of has dropped that cynically.
Is shooting percentage right in clutch moments, especially where you know the game, getting tight, they're going to want a foul.
And I haven't really seen teams bring out the hack of shock.
That kind of was like, almost like it feels like a thing of the past.
Almost like, you know, I haven't really seen averaging a while because of the penalties that come along with that.
You know what I'm saying? It now it comes to the cost, but it's almost like Is that something that's going to be used against in the future? Also are the lesser skilled teams might do that? Because often the bubble is only the top teams, right? So it's kind of like Okay, the whole team and I'm not gonna kill you, honest.
But the whole team struggled since they got to the bubble.
True from the playing games until the playoffs.
So what do you think that is? Do you think they just lost their momentum? They had going during the regular season and then, you know, that break kind of messed with their minds a little bit like it could be both because, like at the same time, like, um, when you're when you're when you're Hooper.
When you're hoping your Hooper, you kind of want to stay in a routine.
Can you want to stay in your flow? So, you know, taking a week off or getting a break.
That's one thing to relax yourself like cool your body down, kill the bumps and bruises.
But 34 month hiatus where you know you heard looks that I haven't touched a basketball in months.
And up until maybe the last game Game five in Game four.
You could honestly believe it and that kind of thing, like, did not nobody on that team touch a ball like, did anyone? You don't think because the whole team e I think we're seven and nine or something.
I think record and those like, Yeah, man, they got explaining to do because you're looking like a regular season team to me.
Yeah, every every year, man, it's It's just it's almost like a repeat of last year like that's almost momentum going into the playoffs.
Top record in the conference.
One of the best records in the league best the best.
They were on pace for winning 70 games this year.
But remember that Yeah, those kind of, uh, you are basically with 70 games on.
That's how you go out.
It's just It's a tough way to go out, man.
Especially for Coach Bud, another guy who's taking a lot of flak right now, the big issue for him.
I'm not happy with the man.
It's like you go back and look at the minutes that he played on.
He didn't even hit 31 per game, 30.
8 for the Siri's.
That's our guy, that is your pillar.
And even though the Milwaukee performed very well in those like the game and a half that Yannis missed with ankle injury, there's still a different team with him on the court like that's your M V P.
You got to give them opportunities to kind of get out there and do what he does.
And when you kind of take him out of the action for that long because you you do the math a little bit, you do some calculations.
That's like, what, 16 17 minutes a game? That he was not on the court? That's a hit man that's a playoff serious and and the thing that God is like as much because I've never really been too visible phantom coach.
But even Atlanta, we see him win 60 plus games in Atlanta.
So I'm not too big uncle, but because I think that's just be honest old power, you know? But it's almost like again I don't keep them back.
The top players quiet.
We all know he load manages.
But when Quiet's engaged, quiet engaged.
True when LeBron's engaged, LeBron will play from the tips to the last trip reserves on the clock in the fourth quarter.
But you need to be asked to begin.
Well, you know what I mean.
That you're not taking off the court.
I think I think Yanez is at that stage where he is.
He definitely has that.
The ability and the credibility to be like, you know, Coach, uh, I gotta do what I gotta do.
The teams in dire need unless you got five fouls and you're about to file out, stay in the game.
And I think you're honest and you know, everybody says, Oh, thanks for saving me.
But, you know, you look at KD where he's like, I want to who? Mhm.
Maybe it could be the Achilles and it turned out worst case scenario for K.
D. So that's almost like a bad example.
But you still see kitties like Yo, my guys, you know they need me.
So I'm gonna come out and I don't see you have you know, he doesn't proven to me that he's that type of dog yet, so, you know, Well, see, I don't wanna blame all on Coach, but I think John is gets over the two.
But I'm a fan of coach, but either he he needs to figure something out.
Just like to switch up the mentality.
He's gotta be willing to make adjustments.
You look at Nick Nurse.
Last night was a personal example.
He went out there and he played O G and a newbie at the five.
He plays a box and one defense.
We'll play zone.
Go, go small like keep just switching things up.
And what do you know? It's like three.
Like they were down to Whoa! They have a chance tomorrow to go out, and there were five seconds from being at 03 and that probably would have gotten out, because I don't know if they were to come back from 30 No, that'll be a rap.
You know, it's a little different, but the nurse obviously like you know what? Whatever doing is not working.
We got to switch it up because what? That's **** our season? Because he just looks too cool for school.
Like he's like, Yeah, I got you honest.
But it's kind of like now the heat and like, the bucks have come out and you probably leads to the bus, will come out and said, you know, hey, you know, he he's not at risk from business job.
He's here for another.
But you don't know what's gonna happen if if the roster is gonna be very different that the box is gonna be a team, that I'm actually looking at crazy next year because because he's gonna be healthy.
But KD and Curry back in Brooklyn with Steve Nash coaching, you know, that might have been the The Eastern Conference is year for no for some fun because next year it's gonna be a road man.
People sleeping on the East like it's not a cakewalk.
No, Toronto, Boston, Miami It's not Brooklyn.
Yikes, man, that doesn't assure you of anything.
With all the teams on a tear, I like the same tear the same level.
It comes down to the small things, the details exactly, like you gotta win around the margins.
So if you're not bringing in these games where it's like every game is like within five points the last five minutes, every time you know you have to perform in very specific cir***stances.
E don't see that from coach, but I don't see him being ready for particularly.
Yeah, he just kind of throws the same strategy.
Regardless of what's going on on the court, as we've seen in this Siri's, that's not gonna get it done for you, you D'Antoni, because D'Antoni was a cool for I was like, Okay, we all know what kind of offense he runs.
He runs and guns, you know that that's that's his bread and butter like that's how funny, like great coach, I hear you.
But as much as he has, like downsized, you can see the team 100% buying into the product.
You know, I'm saying like everybody knows games hard, never played defense, but now it's like, you know what I mean, like he's.
He is really buckling down, using his hands before, like he just playing the passing lanes.
Now he's biting up.
You can't really post him up size man.
Yeah, you get into the 20 man like he's sturdy.
You can see when the team buys it.
And when I look at Milwaukee, I don't know how much they really bought in or if there's even a system aside from a driving kid.
Um and you know, I think I think when teams said, Oh, like, you know, we have a player and just surrounding with shooters, you know, like as good a static.
That is like I'm actually working a little article to see, like, What is that really a good strategy? Because, like we're seeing all the teams inconsistent, you're not going to hit 100% of your shots.
So it's like every team's almost living and dying by the three.
With that one person you could get into the paint.
Yeah, but that one person could get in the paint, needs to be able to also create and with the honest you're not seeing being ableto has no handle.
He has no jump shot.
So it's like if they do lock down on the shooters wall out for that wall and and we're seeing it comes in a row, the playoffs.
It's like, You know, you can get away with that with the bad teams with team championship aspirations, that's not gonna fly.
And we've seen it with Toronto last year.
Remind me this year.
Same story next three in a row, you know? Yeah, it's tough to see that, man.
At some point, you got to say, like it's just really working that z kind of what carries me into My next question is like, Can you really win there? And I want to go back to your comment before about Katie because when I was going through this and I was making some notes, I put in at the at the bottom of this.
Is Janice at Katie or is he a Dame? Dollar? He's a dame Lillard.
Hey, he'll ride the wave, man.
He'll ride away with Portland today he dies 80.
You know this ain't work, and I gotta I gotta skip town.
Which side of spectrum is he on? Like? I kind of feel like he's gravitated more towards the Damian Lillard side of things from what seeing, looking at his comments and like the way he conducts himself.
But he said the same thing back in O pe see, like what? 2000, 11,012 13.
He's like, I want to be here for life.
This is where I wanna be here, up in there.
So I don't know, man for me, I think like because Katie, I think has obviously they have actors.
I don't know how much MVPs or Kitty, I think you have the M v P.
Before he left, he got everybody.
You see, it was 14 right? Um and then I think when he decided to left, they had made the finals.
They arguably had they arguably they had Rust Harden and Katie, right? So I think when Katie left, it was a bigger thing, and it was I got when I was miss him and him and rust and he said, Okay, James left, And James James is doing this thing.
I think that for my career, the best thing for me to do is leave, right? And I don't I think that that was Ah ah career move more than anything.
And that people just like Okay, like you just jumped on Golden State.
But, like, essentially, who wouldn't want to play in Golden State? You know what I mean? And for for that, you're honest comparison.
You honestly gonna have to think about it really hard because it's like, mellow What? Melo went to the Knicks.
Melo should have been in Miami when it was Bosch, when instead of Bosch had weighed.
And Bron it should have been mellow.
But no one wants to give the Knicks or he wanted more money, didn't want to sacrifice stay with the Knicks and end up taking Bosch.
Bosch was in the first choice.
Aim is a guy who is again he's gonna have to make a decision to because that roster is essentially the Bucks rosters like you're not You're not getting over the hump with that roster.
Yeah, what you want is really have thing.
Okay? What free agent can I get here or is this team do we have actual tax that winning is gonna You don't have to put a lot of working because it starts and ends with him. Essentially.
He's got to put a lot of work in, get her jump shot and fix himself, because at this point, I don't think there's much that game can do, right, right? I think game I don't see.
He's capped out as a player, but I don't know what more they could do to help poorly.
You saw a superhero acting the bubble where he's going out here throwing up 40 point three threes.
Yeah, like there's nothing like I don't know about more **** and do but for you and it's just like there's so much more room for improvement.
So does he have that confidence in himself? Thio.
You know, try again and maybe go for another run.
But, ah, five year deal.
That's a long time.
Do you go through? Ah, one and one Like Broad used to do.
Don't go year by year.
Do you find the Supermax? You know, man, for the second contract? Uh, well, really, it's his third now.
I don't know, man.
If they're throwing that Supermax at him like they're talking about this summer, it's hard to turn down whatever that contract is gonna be.
200 mil, you know, Plus like that.
That's a commitment.
You know, it's like it's huge. It's huge commitment.
But years passed.
That doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna be there for five years, because in this day and age, players have more power than ever before.
So if they throw some hints out there, they can force their way out by your three.
And that's what do you think you're honest? Is that type of guy who will be like a man like ST really work for me? Because essentially, that means he's gonna take the money and run, you know? And then that that's what paints the image of.
Okay, Now you're a bad guy because you gave us the hope that you're gonna be here.
You signed a five year contract and you're living after one.
You're leaving after two.
George got lucky because Paul George didn't really get that slack.
Yeah, that's your max and left after you.
You did cut off low key.
But be honest, be honest, is way more in the spotlight than Paul George because of the actress, Right? Big time.
You get that kind of criticism.
That's the thing.
So you can take it is what you're gonna do it all the president, what his heart wants and how much he thinks he can improve and how much he wants to improve and how much she improved.
Because, you know there's so much more for improvement, so we'll see it'll be toe because it's self evaluating.
And with I'm not gonna like after the Katie thing like I've I've outed myself.
I'm never going to convince myself that guy's 100% in the state because it doesn't matter if it's Devin Booker, Koran, Anthony, Towns, Yanis.
I don't care what they say.
All it takes is one playoff.
Siri's All it takes is one mistake by management, and there could be a change of heart because grass is always greener on the other side.
Man, it's crazy to see if people would do when the time comes.
That's just a just in a general statement.
What people do when the time comes is you really can't put nothing by nobody, especially after you know, like you want to put yourself in the best.
I want the best for myself.
There's no way I'm gonna possibly sell myself short.
Exactly why your wife like you, honest, if he knows.
****, uh that he can't wait a Milwaukee.
Why Earth people by here You don't wanna be here.
You know, like people quit jobs.
You know what I'm saying? People quit.
So yeah, it'll be interesting to watch, though.
And I'm thinking about moves they can make to improve that roster.
Ron Yanis first guy that comes to mind.
So years in a row, he shoots mid 35% in the regular season, gets to the playoffs.
He went to 24% from three.
This year was 25% at least insisted, Right, e like blessed.
So I like that will come out of Kentucky.
I like That's on the Clippers.
I like to my Phoenix like I was a fan of I was a fan of vessel until he came to the bucks.
Okay, that's when I just became He's just another guy because off See, in Phoenix, he was before Booker came.
He was that guy.
And when it was him and Booker Yeah, on Milwaukee, He's just I think he's just totally out of he's nothing more to someone that almost brings the ball up until his defense, um, like he treat him like a poor man's Rondo.
I see that I could see that, you know, it's like they took all of his and obviously he still drives and kicks for, like, again, this whole driving kick, things like how much I wonder how much confidence that's what has himself.
Because I had a coach on my podcast and he was like, You know, it's really all about rhythm and confidence with ballers, you know, you could be I'm all the best bachelor player ever, like you know what I'm saying.
But when I have people on my side, you'll shoot that, you know, you don't think about what you know what kind of Oh, my God.
Like if I missed, they're gonna tell me to sub off the court that that's where the mistake is made.
Yeah, is that Well, I wonder how much confidence they're instilling in blood cells, how much free Randy let him have.
And I think that if he is to get treated because his contract a bit big, you can't really do much with the contract uh, in the team wise, but I I won't be surprised if that's what does get traded.
And he does go to new situation.
And you know what I mean? It's like, Oh, where was that? Same with Chris Paul.
People who thought Chris Paul was garbage all of a sudden, it's kind of like if Chris Paul some rain and you know what I mean.
I'm not saying that's what Chris Paul? Yeah, you know what I mean? I know exactly what you mean, man.
It's all the situation you got look like garbage.
Like you said at one team, you switch out their cir***stances around him, switch the systems. Which the coaching.
They look like a new player.
Man, you put you put it where he wants to be put in with some, you know? No. Yeah.
No trouble with the coaches anymore.
No butting heads.
No, no, that's all window.
It's all of you.
Is it a coach? But I don't know what's what's coach, but doing.
Yeah, I'm not sure, man, but, I mean, they have some options.
Blood was definitely a trade piece.
Yeah, you know, they have some some salary they can throw in like a like a ilyasova e.
Marvin retired so they can't really do anything with him anymore.
I know he's I think I e going to take some time to think about the decision, but yeah, e look very different next year. Very.
I'm telling you that they're not all pasted with no 70 games this year, that's for **** sure e feel that man a lot has to go right? Like the urgency of just some great things happening for you to get to that milestone.
But let's transition to the Western Conference here.
Real equipment because we have some serious in progress, one that's about wrapped up, one that's still in the thick of things which is wrapped up, which is wrapped up Klitzman clips and clips clips.
Took that last night.
Quite Ain't gonna let him lose three.
Quiet closer, man.
He's no Yanez Ugo s way.
Start with them man clips clips here in town they have the opportunity to close it out next game.
Basically, what I wanted to look at is the some things have changed.
Milwaukee was one of the big favorites to make the finals, possibly when the finals that look out.
So basically, I wanted to take some stock or just look at where the Lakers and Clips stand now that we're kind of maybe like Halfway is through the playoffs to see where they stand in regards to their odds of winning a championship.
So clippers specifically, I still have them winning it all because you look at the supporting cast.
Um, they do some great things for you.
You got a guy like Lou Williams or Marcus Morris when he's not slapping people upside the head injected, Uh, that could go out there and dropped 23 25 given night in addition to, um, Paul and CO y and then quiet.
But who I might be the most consistent, eh? NBA player in the NBA? 20 points, five boards, five assists every game.
So set in stone.
Yeah, it's good when you have to say when you have players and you have that confidence Kind of like, you know what people are coming with? Yeah, the same thing with the Lakers.
You kind of know what they're coming with.
You know? You know the bronze giving you this, you know, eighties giving you that.
You know, Khloe is give you this.
You know Louisville is going to give you this.
You know, Paul, George is going to give you that.
Paul George is one of the guys who like he.
You know, he does have his up and downs, but you know what I mean? Like, they have yet to really flipped the switch and they have yet to be challenged.
I would have liked to see them with against Porzingis because they would have had to play with almost essentially the back against the wall.
True, True, right? I don't think you've actually seen that.
And then again, you know, it's just this Maybe this round where you're starting to see players really, like, started fit together because before the season co I was in and out of lineup.
Paul George didn't up the lineup was in and out the lineup.
You know what I mean? They never really faced together.
Yeah, I couldn't gel.
They don't have time together.
They used the Dallas and now the Denver stairs to kind of like jell.
Yeah, so you see, e think Well, yeah, That's it.
It's over to wrap.
Yeah, because they're finding themselves now.
You, Marcus more specifically.
Yeah, Like when Marcus Morris.
Like I looked at his numbers prior to the bubble.
I mean, the man was awful, like shooting percentages were in the tank.
Uh, didn't look comfortable.
Hey was so used to just being the focal point of the offense in New York.
Hey, plays with guys that command the ball so much mawr.
They're used to hitting players.
I have to say it took some time for him to find this place.
But now they just kind of settled in.
And you can consistently go out there and give 15 20 play some solid defense.
Just another switching defender out there.
Big, strong body.
Uh, that changes That flips the script for the Clippers.
Now, that's what you're talking about.
They're getting there like I agree they haven't really flipped it, but you can tell they're they're they're peaking again on and they know they know what's going on.
They know what's next.
You know what I mean? I think I think both teams know what's next.
That's why I think he Lakers would have got the sweet, in my opinion, but just because the fact that they had a week off and Houston was coming off a Game seven, she says, they were kind of, as people say, Oh, they're tired, Exhausted, But you're in.
You're in a rhythm At that point later, a week off, you know it's hard to get.
It's just hard to focus.
Yeah, move in Game one.
But same thing with Clippers criminal lost a game, too.
So I think at this point now you're saying Okay, you know what? Like we both both teams know what's coming.
We kind of expected this off season.
It's come to fruition, and Marcus Morris is a player that's gonna have to play big minutes, right? Right.
And I think that you're seeing that even even with Rondo coming back, Ron is gonna be guys who think who's gonna have to play big minutes next.
Siri's, um, Guzman.
I think you're gonna start to see them kind of wrap up Cruz with play, too, because, uh, you're just gonna be a smaller Siri's.
You know, aside from Zoo Bosch, JAVALE might play a little bit more.
Dwight might pay a little more but I think it will still be a smaller Siri's.
I could see that.
And then yeah, and then I think you're going to see both teams have to go at it.
But I think you're seeing both teams starting to buckle down and prepare for, you know, the inevitable.
Which is Clippers.
Lakers West Farms.
So with Rondo specifically this playoff Rondo, man, I mean, this is something we've seen We saw in New Orleans were going in Chicago when the Bulls were What was it when they were up on that? My finger playoff.
Rondo when he went against Boston? Yeah.
I'm still I'm still upset, man, that he got hurt in that stories.
Like he broke his finger or something.
Your group they had about the ropes, man.
They had Boston, like, in trouble for Riel.
No, it's just really Yeah, I got short, but, you know, he's got another opportunity to go out there, and a lot of us just kind of like dismiss Rondo.
I was one of those people before he came after the injury.
I was like, You know what? What is he going to do for him? He can't shoot.
You know, he might be a little bit of defense.
What is he? Because I hear Dr Like what, four or five threes.
I'm like, Alright, man, you got bad.
I Sorry I doubted you.
Yeah, playoff was really man.
And I didn't I didn't really think he had it anymore after the injury, because this is, I think, the second year he I believe he did.
He hurt his thumb early in the season.
Or, like laughter.
Yeah, something frail fingers.
I don't know what he's like.
Things that I used to, like, get his fingers up.
But yeah, just the injuries.
And I'm like, You know what? He's gonna come back, E.
I don't know how much he's gonna practice like, Is he quarantining? What's going on? Is there going to be a spot for him? Because I really thought waiters were gonna be utilized more.
I thought Caruso's have ah, you know, a little bit more important role.
But Ronald came right back into a slot, and it's like he didn't miss a B.
And now it's the playoffs.
This I think that he knows this is his best shot at a championship.
Especially with these Lakers? Yeah, in the rest of the league is starting to catch up.
I don't know how much if the Lakers are gonna be able to hold off teams again for a full season next year or just be a favorite, I think it no longer the favorite after this year.
So I think, yeah, yeah.
Rondo is a veteran, E I know where my I know my age.
I know my career is going, and this is if this is gonna be it for me at least in terms of, like, really championship aspirations.
Hey, I gotta go all out.
So I think you're seeing now.
Yeah, we have some comments here.
Um, if during our podcast and it's, um I mean, this is exactly what we've been talking about.
He's got a rain.
He's been here before.
Um, you know, the championship mindset that makes the whole is it makes the world, and he knows who he is as a player.
I mean, he's been around for long time.
Man, we're talking like what? This is like, what is 13 14 season now? Yeah, he's been around the block, so I mean, he knows exactly what to do when he's on the court.
He's not out here.
Um, he still he still got them hands, man, I think.
Wasn't it like, um, e? I don't know if it was, it was Game three, but then he had, like, a four steel game, maybe like game to almost quick with his hands, man like he's always Obviously, we always been a great defender, are pretty much his whole career.
I just think I'm like, he probably lost a step.
Players are much quicker now.
He can't really do anything, but yeah, way West was loose with the ball.
Yeah, aside from Westbrook, your heart and North Korea creates.
So yeah, this is This is a private station where I want to get, like, his feet.
Way for sure for sure, because you're playing a Houston team that I think he has a lot of prime opportunity just to kind of showcase where you could still do out there.
He's not against ah, freaking Paul Georgia kuai or market, or is that's just gonna, you know, find them in the post and back him down because the rockets, that's not what they do.
It's a pace in space.
We were talking about earlier driving kick, so we kind of pick his spots on defense, not be exposed quite to that extent.
Just get in there.
Wreak havoc, man.
That's what Rondo does best.
But yeah, I like.
I hopefully we'll get a good chance that winning man, he's just go out with the bank.
Yeah, he's been one of those just like smart, just great, like solid veterans for for many years ago.
And that has me thinking.
Rondo has been very good for them since his return, and you mentioned coups earlier with his impact much improved defensively, which I think some people are haven't really noticed so far.
That presents the question.
Who is the Lakers third best player, is it? Solidified doesn't change e like it changes like KCP had a few games in there where he was.
E feel that Because, like, you know, if he has 20 points and five threes, one game, what's gonna do the next game have won 12 point? Yeah, so it's definitely not KCP, so I mean, at least not consistently.
So what I was thinking is like. Maybe it's K C.
P. One game. Maybe it's Rondo in the next game.
Maybe it's coups.
Maybe Danny Green finds that finals magic.
What's up with Danny Green? Man? That man I remember 2013.
He could not miss against 2013 out when e like, ever since.
It's just like he's not the same guys.
It was like, e even when, um, it's funny because I'm being on Twitter and I've seen, like, raptors fancy Oh, my God.
Danny Green with Danny g retire seems to come back. Toronto.
I'm like, What did he do here? Yeah, Green hasn't been good since he left the Spurs.
Yeah, And then the last couple of years, he wasn't really saying much before the finals with the way he hit the correct amount of threes for the time being, you remember? Very well.
Yeah, it was like, Is he ever gonna miss? Like, uh, but he's Yeah, he just low.
I think the league caught up to him really quick.
Um, I think that he's being highlighted as this locked out shooter like he can shoot.
I'm sure if you leave him in the gym, he doesn't get more than half those shots.
It you know what I mean? Definitely.
But he just I don't know.
I don't know what I can't put my finger on it.
He just doesn't have it anymore.
Like, I think that because he's on the Lakers and because it's brawn passing the ball.
The l a light is different.
Like, you know what I'm saying? Like these air shots that, like, you know, you may hit.
You may not, but it's almost like, yo, Daddy being hit that brown brown passes the ball that goes back Pressure was kind of like, You know what I mean? When you have clears that pass the ball like, yeah, man, you missed.
Don't even worry about it. We good.
And then you have guys pass the ball.
It's like you're not now. I'm looking you off.
You better be on the bench.
Yeah, like you know what I'm saying, e You had your chance.
It could be a lot of things, but not Danny needs to find out.
He's gonna need it for the next series because I think even now you're seeing a but next serious.
But he's gonna have to guard.
You know, guys like y and he probably gonna be left open a little bit because you have to pick your choice, pick your poison with, you know, the 80 posting double team.
So there will be open shots next.
So I like to get going.
So next year's he has a rhythm because if he thinks that up next, Siri's it's gonna be a problem.
You know, you don't wanna if they lose because of David Green's lack of shooting like this bitten, you know, they could get away with it for now, but it's gonna come from where you can't sacrifice it for sure, man.
And of course, LeBron is gonna be there.
We know what to expect from him.
Uh, a D This is a tes time to shine.
Yeah, Eddie on point last game.
It's fallen for him.
Hey, has no problem getting a shot off.
I mean, those arms and Houston doesn't have.
They have some defenders.
They have some fairly lengthy guys.
But no one can really bother his shot.
I'm getting like Katie.
You think What? Katie just want support.
He's gonna pull up.
He doesn't even see your hand.
He doesn't see you in entity.
So with a D kind of rediscovering that that jumper of his at mid range game, I really hope that sustainable.
But I think it's somewhat sustainable just because he's always been a solid shooter, at least from mid, like the three I'm like, Yeah, you know for sure that little face up, You know, that's that's gonna change a lot for him because, you know, you go to the next Siri's and Aziz.
Big and physical as he is, the Clippers have guys to throw at him that can match their physicality, match a lot of this size, so he's not gonna be able to do just like, you know, paint consistently.
So that's That's the important facet of his game that next year is interesting because I wanted the match because I think in the regular season we saw Paul George go up against a D.
Uh, right now we've seen predate, talk to go up against a D work A D has a quickness advantage.
I don't know, is gonna have a quickness advantage next, Siri's.
So you're gonna see a background.
Paul George played back to the basket.
That's what I was saying with Danny Green, because it does have to post up Paul.
George, you're gonna get a double your Yeah, and that's my local guy.
So I think as long as Lakers are able to knock down shots and played a high clip, that will be okay.
But it's gonna be a d fighting the guy because they're gonna be able to.
Obviously, LeBron will always get his.
You know what I mean? LeBron always get his definitely time.
They're gonna neutralize LeBron and put the pressure on a B.
So it's interesting to see what 80 does.
Yeah, I mean, that's that's the game plan.
That's probably going to give you the best chance of success when you force uh, Anthony Davis to make quick decisions.
That's one part of his game, where he struggles a little bit because he's comfortable operating one on one, especially if he has a size advantage in the post.
Send them with the situation where he has to kick out of a double team or something like that.
Reads like he's not a natural facilitator.
No, I know he played Yeah, he's not that because he didn't pay garden high school, but like, yeah, but he's just not a natural facilitator.
Not is a big not your, right.
So that's definitely a part of his game you could exploit.
And it definitely gives you a chance for success, E.
I think that's what the Clippers they're gonna target.
Uh, you know, if that ends up happening, they go against each other here, but going back to the Clippers for a second.
I mean, they have so many pieces that they can rely on from night tonight, which is why I give them the edge of the Lakers.
Just because they have that bench, they have that consistency across the roster.
Oh, who is that guy? Because I look at them as having a bench mob.
You have to six men of the year.
What a blessing that is. Off the bench.
Huge, huge contributors off the bench.
Um, Reggie Jackson, You know, a former, like, legit starting point got off your bench blessing, um, Sham it, You know, it could be knocked down shooter at times.
Who is the biggest X factor there? Is it Lou? Is it Reggie Jackson? It's gonna be high form you can account.
I'm gonna take a difficult route because the answer would be Louisville or Harold.
That's what Will Lou will is gonna.
Obviously he's gonna need Thio.
He's gonna have to make his offense counteracted defense because every time he's on the court to going at it, yes, I'll leave Louisville aside.
Okay? Mhm, I think.
Shannon Honestly, because I think he plays good enough defense where he's playable in the Siri's.
He's a good enough shooter way again.
He's playable in the Siri's.
So he's somebody that I think, but and of course, you're always gonna walk ball handlers so I can see why Reggie would be playing right.
But I think Shannon is gonna be a key, because if you can come in and play solid defense, run around switch and hit the open shot, it might be one of those Danny Green type of performances where you just catches fire the right time.
True, true comes in and just stroke, stroke stroke and you have thrown in the Lakers because he might be the for gotten guy because when you have quite cooking Paul George cooking, you gotta watch for the pick and roll you have. We will.
And that could be a small lineup.
Would be would be What? What I just say. Louisville.
Yeah, quite a home, George and Harold.
If that's your small five, Shannon would be the one guy that you feel like you could leave mhm.
So if you could come in and do what you know, like in 2013 Danny Green did.
That could really kill the liquor.
So sure have my guys.
The not the easy route I go, Shamblin.
And the way I think about Sham it is I mean, you could definitely have, like, a Danny Green type performance.
But let's not forget last, uh, last season before he was traded, he was under JJ Red**** like he was learning from one of the best off ball movers and shakers in the league.
And I think he's He picked up some of that insight, JJ, that's done it at a high level for a long time.
So I look at him as like JJ Red****.
Yeah, two point.
Oh, because he's been there and he see what JJ does.
E I totally forgot about that that they were there together.
You think he's looking at that? Like, Dang, They could really use them on that trade.
Really backfire form that.
Like that. I came back bad.
That's exactly who you needed a like, Where is the help? You need him.
But I went to you on that on that on that X factor.
Man, you really kick the Lakers.
He really could. You really could.
You really could.
Like, he's definitely underappreciated.
Just because of the team that he's on.
Uh, that spotlight, Uh, so I could definitely see that.
I don't know what his contract situation is like.
I know he's a maybe second or third year in the league.
No, through its contract is.
But let's just say this is a contract here or, you know, shooters are always gonna be in high demand.
So as good as he doesn't just playoffs team, they're going to start coming to look for people, you know.
Who could we get? Everybody wants a piece of the championships go out.
So hey, maybe a sham available can be find a way to throw money at shot mint where, you know, because shooters are gonna be now super high demand in the off season and coming up so true that we'll see the only thing you performs.
Yeah, I think they're gonna be safe on that front for now.
Because the shaman, I believe, is the second year player.
Uh, so he's stolen his rookie contract.
So they have two more years of team control after this morning, which is very nice, because they're gonna have a lot of money flowing through that trays And Marcus Morris, I mean, they're gonna have their hands full.
So it's nice that they could kind of put shaming on the back burner for a little bit on Bacon, Focus on some of the other guys.
Um, someone else that's going to get paid when he comes out like the Clippers.
I don't I feel bad for first for Steve Balmer.
He's got a lot e.
Yeah, it's definitely gonna hurt because don't forget about zoo botch, Vika Sue botch like Yeah, my guy Shane Young on Twitter.
He doesn't hesitate to let people know how good zoo botches like he covers the Clippers because so he's seen zoo bots in action.
He knows what he brings to the table as a center.
Not just some throwing, not just some big body that runs around like good hands.
Yeah, I like what he brings to the table.
And he's perfect for that team.
He gets a situation is perfect.
Situation is perfect for me.
All you got. You don't gotta worry about too much.
Away and grab rebounds.
You'll get you run before you get the ball defense.
Protecting you solid.
That's what he is.
The purpose situation.
I think sometimes players get caught up in okay.
I can make money. I can go.
Very what? But sometimes people leave good situations and end up in worse situations.
So situation where? You know, if he fits Perfect.
I'm I'm sure they respect him on the team.
I'm sure they let him know how much he is necessary and how much is needed.
No doubt. You know what I mean? Yeah. He watches the guy.
He doesn't get the credit.
Um, Casuals wouldn't know him.
He's not a household name, but watching it and you watch the game of basketball at a high level.
You know what I mean? You know the little things that he does in that players do that, you know, is necessary for two months.
You know, a tip here.
You rebound there a block here.
I like how he brings that aspect to the team.
Because a lot of people say if you go around Twitter or you look at these shows, they're like, What is the Clippers weakness? They don't have a rim protector.
Hold on a second, Zuba.
Field goal percentage.
A lot at the rim.
I don't have the exact number, but it's pretty good.
It's pretty low.
Like you're not just gonna lay ups over this guy like he everybody likes.
Everybody likes the block to the third rule.
You know what I mean? Everything next that sometimes just so you know, you handle business different.
Those European guys don't come in and make a lot of noise.
You know, nice were not joke.
It's really have, like, I kind of distance cause I'm like, yeah, is he a dog? Doesn't really wanted He doesn't have that manners, and he's really hyper excited.
But Zoo botches the guy who comes in and he just does his business.
But that that whole Clippers squad besides that bed, nobody really talks heralds.
Okay, Harold, you know he does this thing, but he talks quite doesn't say much, but not with that team fighters.
You know this handle business.
Let's get in and get out and go home.
They know what they know what to do.
I mean, a lot of veterans on that team, a lot of guys that mentally 568 10 years.
So that's a huge benefit for Doc Rivers.
You have to go in there constantly, Coach these guys like Come on, guys, come on, guys, Hey, knows that these guys were to go on perform.
I think it was not this last game against the Nuggets.
I think it was whatever game that was game is that Game three of the of the next year's or though I mean, I think it was a game.
They lost okay, but I know the Denver was going on a run and I think it was like a 10 run or a 12 run.
He didn't call a time out like you watch him on the sideline.
He's just sitting there, hands cross, just looking because he knows his team is going to adjust themselves maturity about them.
They have the experience to kind of go out there and do what's necessary, and that's huge for a team like this.
And that's why I think that, um that combined with their depth on everything else, allows the best championship.
So you So you study Clippers. They're gonna win.
You have clippers, right? Well, who we'll get over who I had? Said Milwaukee.
I had said Milwaukee before they got bounced.
I e Before bed guard hurts, I feel you waiting to battle way Both took some elves, man our brackets air busted like I have bad little kid.
As soon as they got eggy and Crowder because I used my God, my Golden State guys when I got a pretty like, Yeah, this goes, let's go eat.
And then now you see on the big they will. Miami.
They they're getting good matchups.
Yeah, that's a good matchup.
That's what's out sometimes.
So you end up on the right side of the bracket.
Yeah, you can't win a championship without good skill and some luck.
You know? Look, it's apart.
Every run, man, that's so true.
But I think we about covered it, man, I think going through Janice's future Lakers Clippers, it just reinforces the fact that, like this bubble, is different as it's been, has been a huge success.
You know what you think about, man? Let me ask you that what you think about the bubble? Oh my gosh, I e.
There are times where I noticed the lack of fans, and I really miss having the fans going wild after, like, a crazy three point or something like that.
Could you imagine fans in attendance for that game last night? Wraps E.
You would have been.
It would have been in Boston, because again, yeah, I would've been Yeah, see? Well, people tell Ponting fans that because they would have been like home court Game six TD Garden would have been, but with the top would have blown off.
The whole could've been God, that would've been awesome.
I'm checking my timeline to see all Celtics fans tomorrow because those guys were from 45 seconds First potential sweet to be This happened, um, Tate of rookie year with Boston when they face the lake created with bronze.
Yeah, there are three to your back and lost, you know, like, here we go again.
Now, you started talking, you know? Is it youth, or did they just have enough to get it done and mind they're missing Hayward.
Another good veteran president? Yeah.
So s I want I'll save that for later. E.
It's all good, man.
Um, unless you got anything else, man, I think we're ready to wrap up.
Um, sorry again for your guys.
I know you would love to see Golden State in this scenario in this bubble environment, do you think, like, how weird is it? Like we're missing the most one of the most fun teams with Golden State and I just like the playoffs.
As good as the bubble has been in terms of like just having basketball, like I missed seeing Katie play, I missed seeing Kyrie play, and I'm like Kyrie fan.
I missed seeing Golden because they I just can't wait till next season.
People really thought this season on before often covert hit.
Um, this season at the beginning, it was just like the best season ever.
No more, No more super team is it is, um, quiet And, um, Paul George LeBron a a D Clay.
Um, it was just duos.
You know, there wasn't a super team, and I think the season was not even close to being as good as it could have been.
But I think going into next year, if there's fans in the stands with a healthy Brooklyn team with the healthy Golden State team, you know, player movement was happening.
I think next season is gonna be, like a really good season.
But that's just, you know, I'm hurting, though they understand.
It's just a gap year, man. You'll be back.
It is a gap here.
Uh, because I got I got a buddy that some warriors fan and I was sitting right there with them through all those finals runs, and I saw it all happened.
So honestly, I am mad, man.
I e heard that all I'm like, Yeah, you're going to that.
You're off you had, like, five years. You're the finals.
Yeah, home And cut it with those with those, um, those e Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
