00:02:45
Leggy Twitter in my last name spelled hot my my US seven thing for convenience cause a long one.
00:02:52
Yeah.
00:02:53
I mean, you know, Perry was hitting me up.
00:02:54
And why did Why jump on stream? And I was like, I just want to talk about because, you know, big I'm a big soccer fan.
00:03:02
Love us, soccer sort of low.
00:03:04
Other girl in the game here and four stars in the past two weeks have it just made the announcements after anticipation.
00:03:12
People kind of expected it that they're playing for 15 which is kind of surprising because the you know, the league here, the nwsl is growing so much so kind of a surprise in terms of like it happening, but sort of unexpected announcements, people, sort of what coming For a while, it seemed like it should happen.
00:03:31
So I just wanted to jump on here and talk to Perry round.
00:03:34
He says he's done some research, so, you know, I'm sure he's gonna blow me out of the water.
00:03:39
Impossible.
00:03:40
This is our women's soccer expert here and one of the biggest Houston Dash fans I've ever met in my life.
00:03:46
Of course, we were just talking about the thought of J. J.
00:03:49
Watt, who showed them some a lot of love matter.
00:03:52
What if we bought the team like he's got the money? He's got the ties to Houston.
00:03:55
He's a big supporter of women sports.
00:03:58
I think that would be a really, really fun thing to see on.
00:04:01
I think you're going to see a lot more if that's X N b A Players.
00:04:05
If that's ex NFL players, current players investing in women sports, if that means into ownership of teams, ownership of leagues, investing in new leagues, things along those lines, you're going to start seeing a big vamp in support.
00:04:21
We've obviously seen through 2020 not just through motivation and support like that, but with financial support as well, which you're going to start seeing, I think more 2021 people's wallets becoming a little friendly, where with the pandemic and stuff.
00:04:36
I think you're really going to start seeing some heavy investments that maybe we haven't quite seen in the past.
00:04:41
But with that being said, let's before we start into the topics I want a Houston dashi.
00:04:45
Really Quick on.
00:04:47
Thank you.
00:04:48
J Girl J girl 123 Just gave us a little trip of 20.
00:04:52
We very much appreciate you and everyone that Yeah, Isaac Sports.
00:04:56
Thank you for coming.
00:04:57
Joining our stream.
00:04:58
We're very appreciative.
00:04:59
You guys are in some of your Wednesday night with us from Houston.
00:05:02
Dash until a research on that for you too.
00:05:04
Okay.
00:05:05
Cash and the dynamo who share that stadium, of course.
00:05:08
The men's and women's soccer team was announced.
00:05:10
I believe it was yesterday, very shortly ago that you will be able to play in front of a crowd, fans, but to a limited capacity of 3000 people.
00:05:20
So that's something that I think they were waiting on and is now fully there.
00:05:24
Are you gonna be at Sam Houston Dash games this year in person.
00:05:28
Are you gonna hope? Waited out for next season? You know, I definitely think my fate I'm, you know, I'm living at home, my family just because pandemic, um, so, you know, sort of like we have definitely a group mentality of how we're handling everything.
00:05:42
So that definitely goes for a very select group of people in that kind of thing.
00:05:47
Houston, those only three hour drive I can make their and back on one tank of gas high, you know, could definitely show up, hang out in the back and you turned around.
00:05:58
I saw that in use today.
00:06:00
Yeah, I was like, OK, is this my move? I've never been to a game there.
00:06:04
I could be completely cool, Especially when it is actually one of the reasons that these players are going to England is that after this seven week little fall, Siri's, there's not gonna be women's soccer in the US and we'll maybe April for life.
00:06:19
It's really just the Corona virus outbreak, really hurting again.
00:06:23
And it's because I was looking obviously at some articles of some reasonings.
00:06:26
Why? And it's pretty public that Corona virus and the way that the United States has handled it with just in general.
00:06:33
But especially with some of these sports three, it's not hold them.
00:06:35
They've all went differently.
00:06:36
But if you're not willing to invest money into a bubble, which the N B.
00:06:41
A and the NHL did for a shorter amount of time, cause it's just finishing the season and in the playoffs.
00:06:46
But is a bubble feasible for a full season of any sports? We don't know the answer that it's pretty bad.
00:06:52
So with how we're handling this, we can confidently say We're handling it well, you know, And I think if I'm a player looking after my career in the prime of my career, you know, like these women are and they're fresh off championships, whole stirring up trophies, You want to take the risk that you sit out a whole year and and right now I'm seeing that they're being very flexible with.
00:07:17
If they call that loaning these players to teams right, Yeah, yeah, that's been really interesting because it happens all the time in in soccer, in all the different leagues across the world, loans are a big deal It's basically that we have a contract with one club, which is a team for somebody who's thought he's not fresh on those terms.
00:07:41
Ah, home.
00:07:42
And basically you can get loaned out to another team.
00:07:47
First period of time. Could be a season.
00:07:49
Could be a couple years.
00:07:50
Usually it's about a one year contract.
00:07:52
It could be for any reason.
00:07:54
You have some people, you know, marry somebody who, you know, happens to play on a different team, play on different team in different league, and they want to be in that city for a year or something like that.
00:08:03
You know, you know, you never know what it is and it could just be toe times.
00:08:07
They're probably like before a trade.
00:08:11
And so you could see alone.
00:08:13
And then a year later, you see a trade.
00:08:16
It's sort of like the other club was just testing out me.
00:08:18
However, that's interesting.
00:08:21
I feel like you being able to do that gives a huge advantage not to just see this player is talented enough to come help us win.
00:08:27
Are they gonna fit into our culture? Are they going to buy into the city? Are they gonna buy into everything that we are as a team in an organization.
00:08:35
Yeah, is just a question mark for every single player.
00:08:38
Like, how do you guarantee that someone that hasn't been in that environments gonna fit perfectly? Exactly.
00:08:43
And so you're sure And 11 player that people are really talking about.
00:08:46
She's not on Theo U S.
00:08:48
Women's National Commission on the English national team.
00:08:50
Is Rachel daily from Houston down? Yeah.
00:08:53
Went on loan to, uh, t.
00:08:55
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:08:58
And so you know she's gonna be there for a year.
00:09:01
It looks like everyone, except for Samantha Mu s is going to be on loan for just a year.
00:09:08
Um, how just seeing how we handle is because of what happens if we snap back into the normality in 2021 hour.
00:09:16
Yeah, and the reason that I think those five players especially have gone on what people were saying money because that's been such a big issue in the in the end of us, Ellen, with us Songer.
00:09:26
But I think the main reason is because again, because of how we've been handling the virus, all five of these players need to be Olympics ready by next year.
00:09:36
Hopefully eso you know, in soccer and same thing with running, you know, your conditioning goes away so quick.
00:09:42
Even used you.
00:09:43
They had really felt comfortable with how we've all been handling it enough to even go into the bubble in in May.
00:09:51
Didn't they opt out? Yeah.
00:09:53
Yeah, they did.
00:09:54
All well, racial daily was in for the dash, but that was the only person who went in.
00:09:59
And they ended up winning the championship in July.
00:10:01
Excuse me, the man but the man United People that Yeah, man, sitting in the United.
00:10:07
Yeah, the U S women's national team players who you know, most of them actually didn't go.
00:10:13
Um, you know what? You start surprising. Rosell Avellan.
00:10:16
Sam U S did, um and so they went in.
00:10:19
But then it looks like Samantha Mewes is thinking about long term being there for a while.
00:10:25
And we'd seem like Roosevelt Onley signed a one year, but the Washington spirit did trade her contract.
00:10:32
And so it is already which is a team in Seattle with me signals that they don't expect coming back anytime soon.
00:10:40
And that could just be again.
00:10:42
But not necessarily anything about the league or the teams, but how how the U.
00:10:46
S in general's handling Corona virus? No, it's just such a weird time.
00:10:51
And I think it's not a matter of preference now for people feeling not just comfortable for themselves but their families capital.
00:10:58
Because if you're not going to go toe play for man united, not go bring your family with you.
00:11:03
This is a full time temporary movement.
00:11:07
Notches for you, for your family's safety as well on really quick before you want to shout out some love.
00:11:12
Some love that we got in the comments eyes, exports, he said, Hey, Perry, its settlement.
00:11:16
Isaac, I know you are my family or an Austrian SportsCastr.
00:11:19
You do a lot of great work on here. We appreciate you, man.
00:11:22
This is Isabel, one of my favorite people.
00:11:25
Mind that we're so glad you could finally see our and her amazing work.
00:11:29
Funny name. Here.
00:11:30
We got **** for calves.
00:11:32
Interesting name.
00:11:33
I like that. A lot came and joined the stream shopping.
00:11:35
I very much appreciate the love as well and anyone else that's popped in throughout our conversation.
00:11:40
So far, we're talking women's sports women's soccer to be exact on, of course, the big news and is really a little bit of Corona virus in the United States.
00:11:50
But I feel like what stream can we really talk about nowadays without a little bit of Corona bar fluctuated in there somewhere? Okay, so let's talk some big names that you wanted to hiring Coben, Heath and Kristen.
00:12:05
Yes, let's hear your opinions on both of them as individual players.
00:12:10
And then what do you think about them? Cause I see they both signed with Man United at the female trend, of course.
00:12:16
And then there was a separate signing for Man City simultaneously on.
00:12:20
We'll talk about that one in the second, but I want to hear what you think about Man United's newest two players, both very accomplished U S women's soccer players.
00:12:29
So you know, they're both awesome.
00:12:31
They're actually they're roommates in Portland and so it makes sense, you know, they've been quarantined another, they would go together, and you know that's not using move for them.
00:12:39
They're both You're both about 3.
00:12:41
32 11 of them is crew.
00:12:43
Tobin is Christian, will be soon.
00:12:45
And you know definitely have a lot of time left in their careers, But it's Do you know they both loved the game so much? It makes sense to make a move where you're gonna be able to get the most amount of playing time in the end, the time you have left because you know Rose levels 24 I think, and time to talk tons of time left more.
00:13:04
Tobin Heath and Christen Press When incredible players who need to keep up, um, all of their athleticism for the Olympics, for another World Cup? Hopefully.
00:13:12
And so you know what? Getting in that playing time is so crucial.
00:13:16
Um, mainly want.
00:13:18
Talk about that is staring out.
00:13:19
So is today, but it's been expected for a while, So Tobin Heath, Weaken break her down first.
00:13:25
Incredible player Superstar Total Beast 21 c.
00:13:30
One a million championships like their Incredible She's incredible.
00:13:35
There went on to the national team, has won championships who has won gold medals, you know, just serve this unstoppable force.
00:13:43
One super aggressive.
00:13:45
I listened to a podcast with her on it, and she said that you know what's most important to her? It's not like is not famous, not clout.
00:13:52
And, you know, it's not even It goes beyond winning.
00:13:54
It's just that she wants to be one of the best footballers there is, and I think that's so crucial and goes into why she'd want to move.
00:14:03
She actually played in France for a while.
00:14:05
Say it was psst, correct, which is another massive name, like men it.
00:14:11
So she's used to the big lights of Big, Definitely.
00:14:15
And there's definitely a big push right now in Europe.
00:14:18
Four women's leagues because you know everyone here is Manchester.
00:14:21
United obviously thinks the men's team just for perspective, though online, even though the man United women's team is newer than the Portland thorns, telling the people lies for here in the States.
00:14:33
Portland thorns and insert have about a minute 100 thousands on Instagram women's team.
00:14:38
Man United Women's Instant Gram has almost a million followers and honestly might have passed into that check this morning.
00:14:45
So that just shows you even though that teams only a few years old, how soccer is there, how's Messa and you see how big soccer is in general and comparisons to the United States? Really, because I mean my whole family's from England for the most part.
00:14:59
Nice like So my dad is up at four in the morning watching Tottenham play English Premier League win stuff.
00:15:05
So he is just die hard.
00:15:06
He's totally in the women's soccer now on everything on those lines.
00:15:09
We were having that discussion a few weeks ago of E.
00:15:12
How big is getting in Europe with women's soccer? But not just that.
00:15:17
I think how that's showing that the standards being set for the United States toe were now if we were leaving coming to their, they need to step up their performance, their level of play, their availability to some of these players, or else who would stay in the United States to Chris to a game that's so heavily, you know, influenced elsewhere.
00:15:38
Definitely, it's definitely a time, thank you.
00:15:40
It's almost like the space race, but with soccer, because where we sort of lost our ground in the men's game is right around after world were one the you know, men's team in England.
00:15:51
They all went back and started playing soccer.
00:15:52
We started playing football and that's sort of where we lost feeling our team hasn't been good since that.
00:15:57
You know, we've made, I think, a couple World Cups and around that time Donovan Donovan and a few other guys 10 hours.
00:16:04
But it was not never like the team of destiny.
00:16:07
Never. And you know it.
00:16:09
Never at the peak that we had 100 years ago and because we lost all that ground.
00:16:13
However, what happened was that the women's team blew up Women's soccer is the biggest women's sport we have in America, and you know, that's pretty incredible.
00:16:22
What would be a second? What? What a second.
00:16:24
I'm curious Mini Jim Nasteex like, honestly, I can't think of wanton as the participation.
00:16:31
I think I think I think softball is pretty big, but that's more United States back GNA I think my on it, I mean tennis.
00:16:39
I would have to say tennis, canIs Yeah, tennis Too big.
00:16:42
They think I'm thinking like, you know, full team and not even you or quit individuals.
00:16:47
Yeah, Serena Williams, obviously the Williams sisters, obviously like, really put us ahead on that.
00:16:52
And but even internationally, I think tennis is also so they sharapova so many people that are like from from elsewhere, that I think international sports like I think golf is becoming one of the A lot of companies in other countries.
00:17:10
Yeah, I think it's also I think golf is probably a very similar thing.
00:17:13
What's happen with women's soccer, where it's that it became so super popular in the US and that allowed time while the rest of the world wasn't putting a lot of time into it for our women's programs to get stronger, us to get out of our stuff together on that and then, you know, over there it's sort of taking a little longer.
00:17:31
But the thing is now, with soccer, especially is the giant fan base of soccer enough that now that the women's teat women's games were getting bigger and bigger, is that just gonna skyrocket them past us, even though we've been putting in the ground work, so that's kind of tough.
00:17:47
Obviously, a lot of different things went into why they left and why, why they're going for a while.
00:17:53
And, you know, Tony thing, Kristen process, that kind of people were they like travel.
00:17:58
They've been traveling for soccer their whole lives, so and like you said, it's not their first and either of them.
00:18:03
Yeah, fervently, because I reckon if I'm wrong, But I believe press played in Sweden.
00:18:11
I think that, right? Yeah, yeah, and I think it's just internationally.
00:18:18
It's also like you said that different love of the game, but also about different level of safety right now.
00:18:22
So that's just happened. The coroner.
00:18:24
It's a no brainer in 2020 if you ask me.
00:18:26
Yeah, I mean, like, you know, as much as I would like to go to a dash game, it's like, you know, if you're trying to be healthy, to play in the Olympics next year, wouldn't want England to play where there's not fans, um, and you get tons of playing time.
00:18:39
That's the thing England's playing from now until May.
00:18:43
But what Women's soccer here ends in October, And so that really puts it in perspective on how much time the giant gap they would have between Nadelmann a lot before saying that maybe they'll come back to the States in April for playing, then get ready for the Olympics, go to the Olympics and I'm just gonna depend on how Carmen ST Environment do we have for these people to prepare for the Olympics and if not there, you could see even the U. S.
00:19:11
Team having preparation for the Olympics elsewhere.
00:19:14
And that's something, Burdeau.
00:19:16
But like you miss the Olympics for the United States, you're not gonna play on any lex of a standard people clean lots of its standard workout environment.
00:19:25
If I'm the U.
00:19:26
S.
00:19:27
Team and if it's that time and we still haven't gotten to a point where we can comfortably train and comfortably practice, why wouldn't you go travel to Canada or why you travel somewhere that's close, that you can go in train comfortably? I don't know what kind of rules that would be in that situation, because I really don't think that's ever had to happen.
00:19:45
But, I mean, I think that's a possibility that we have to throw out there, considering it's really been controlled on greased, tampered back, everywhere but here.
00:19:55
Definitely.
00:19:56
I think we're probably going to see a lot of players going overseas to train to finish out there training.
00:20:02
Um, because I just can you know, a lot of their countries would be right to participate in the Olympics and would be healthy enough, would have enough clearance is to do it.
00:20:13
And, you know, meanwhile, NFL kicks off tomorrow and all the team to traveling across the country to play each other, even on private jets.
00:20:20
That's that's That's what someone told me, said, Have you seen the numbers for the NFL offseason so far? They look good and I said, Well, I mean, it's isolated camps like of course, they're going to be good.
00:20:32
We haven't really put in the whole cross pollination kind of thing yet.
00:20:36
Where you're going from City won the city to, and you're touching door knobs and you're doing things.
00:20:42
And it's just how it is in 2020 you can't guarantee it.
00:20:45
And if you're gonna use the closest thing to it right now, which is baseball? Yeah, has it? Has it been perfect like no.
00:20:52
Has there been lives put at risk? Yes.
00:20:54
Has there been violations of the rules? Yes.
00:20:57
Or people taking this seriously, They should know there's Benjamin clearing brawls like there is.
00:21:03
They're not taking this as seriously as they should.
00:21:05
They're playing normal ball and you know it.
00:21:08
You see half the people wearing mass, but the master down here and stuff like that It's like, what's the point of even visit? First show? So it's that you remember that they're CDC guidelines, but you're not following.
00:21:18
And I'm like, because if you didn't wear the question, be work, do not have it like I don't know where the level of responsibilities but held its really with the owner of the leadership of the league, which is, you know, Manfred.
00:21:29
But then you look at Goodell and he's not the best, either.
00:21:32
But I have more confidence in the NFL on him that they can figure it out with the 17 weeks season, and we'll see how that whole plays out.
00:21:39
But I think with soccer, the one benefit that it does have is how big the fields are and lack of necessary contact.
00:21:48
Of course, you're going to get contact, you're gonna get slide tackles, you're going to get certain things.
00:21:53
People are gonna be falling over each other every once in a while.
00:21:55
All right, it's gonna happen.
00:21:57
But the majority of the game is such a lot a strategic game in such a cardio game who can outlast the other team, take advantage of the team when they're slipping, and I think that's where soccer in regards to health and safety, it has an advantage because I feel more comfortable and putting a full soccer game out there and knowing that the distance alone with half of the game play makes me feel better than football, where we say hike and we're, you know, we're the camera together were bleeding on each other.
00:22:27
I don't know how that's avoidable like, but, you know, so I think soccer's got that advantage there.
00:22:34
Definitely.
00:22:35
I mean, you've seen those, like those concept helmets where they have, like, the plastic wrap and ride.
00:22:39
It looks like it looks like a halo helmet, almost salad.
00:22:42
I don't know if they can breathe.
00:22:44
I've played sports in Texas my entire life, and I can tell you the actual air feels like you're gonna die.
00:22:49
So I can imagine that locks you have someone passing out and dying than getting crowed.
00:22:57
Iris like it that point you? I don't know if they could even play with that kind of helmet, you know? Yeah, I honestly So I mean, it's there's a lot of risk.
00:23:05
Obviously, a lot of people have started blowing off.
00:23:07
The The Nwsl was the first link to come back had zero cases the entire month.
00:23:13
They were there, locked down bubble, have successful championship.
00:23:17
No one got seriously injured.
00:23:20
Everyone was able to like, you know, each other's games, and they were going to actually have spent time together while stays.
00:23:25
But that's just the leadership of the league.
00:23:27
You know how hard it was like the string players and that they're taking this seriously and see the bigger picture because and you can't say that other leagues have necessarily done that.
00:23:37
And to see that I had such a successful restart, and not just that.
00:23:41
They used to dash one, which made you very, very happy.
00:23:45
And I think this is just setting the groundwork for when things do come back, you know, and the fact that it was great, because how many more eyes have been on women's soccer and that lead in particular during out with other sports leagues being out out of commission, There was forcibly more eyes on it and I thought that was amazing.
00:24:04
Yeah, I mean that actually they broke all of their records multiple times throughout the night.
00:24:10
I bet it is every time There was sitting there live like watching the where could break their PR departments just like, yeah, that was the best conditions.
00:24:17
But we're killing it.
00:24:18
You know, really, They literally made more money.
00:24:21
Not like not the individual team, because of ticket sales, but like it was per season.
00:24:25
They had a CBS all they had a CBS, Siri's and the Nwsl didn't have necessarily.
00:24:32
TV rights was strained, right? Yeah.
00:24:34
Yeah, they have extreme.
00:24:35
But they had the first weekend and the finals on TV and why was sweet And then they had it on twitch internationally, which also blew up did really well.
00:24:47
But I don't know, You know, I think one thing I've been really impressed with is the MBA in the W MBA have blown me out of the water with with how well they've done.
00:24:58
And I think it could really set, you know, speaking of another, you know, soccer player who didn't go maker.
00:25:05
Pena has been there on the sidelines, cheering on her girlfriend bird in her like camp poodles.
00:25:10
Are you have a whole outfit breakdown for us today? It was like I looked it out when he brought it up and I said look good, like I could not pull it off, but like she's racking it like it's so sick.
00:25:24
I say, like I mean top, top to bottom.
00:25:27
Everything that both leagues have done with black lives matter with Corona virus.
00:25:32
With voting like they're standing up for what they believe in, the leadership in both those leaks are fully backing them.
00:25:38
They've been on the floor run they've been Oh, yeah, it's been so vocal like they haven't held back with their public stances.
00:25:47
They haven't held back with their apparel that they've warned that made public stances.
00:25:52
Their comments like it only has become, since everything really got bad, that every leaks been able to give the flexibility and the voice to their players to just do what they want, say what's important.
00:26:05
But the WNBA's never censor their people.
00:26:08
I don't think this is This isn't like new for them, so that's why I like you see them coming in with those bullet holes like you know, the bullet holes on the charts and it's like That's powerful that hits you in the horror.
00:26:19
But they've been doing stuff like that, which is we're really, really noble and impressive.
00:26:24
You got to give a shout out.
00:26:26
I mean, they've never been scared of any kind of controversy.
00:26:30
Toe Make a stat.
00:26:31
Oh, no, you know.
00:26:32
Also another reason for Kristen present.
00:26:35
Oh, he's going to England.
00:26:36
They're both in Portland, which has been one of the most like, intense stuff like that.
00:26:41
It's Portland's crazy.
00:26:43
They are, They are.
00:26:44
They are holding it down for the United States of being, I would say, probably the most progressive state in the United States right now in regards to social first there.
00:26:55
But you can see why you know him and you can skinny wide to people who are there who are, you know, probably two of the biggest superstar athletes in Portland, you know, around all the time.
00:27:06
And they're now wildfires, and everything's getting on even crazier.
00:27:10
And it seems, you know, no.
00:27:11
And while you'd make this move, it's sort of in a couple months of talk, and it seems like you obviously now they're both signed.
00:27:19
It's announced they're going.
00:27:21
Who knows when they'll start playing My guess.
00:27:23
Is that the probably head over there soon, Um, and probably to quarantine for a couple weeks before they can join the Tomb Boulevard.
00:27:31
It's probably gonna be a month from today.
00:27:35
You're with the team, you're fully on and you're in the groove of things because you're going country the country to do like that's not an easy move in the pandemic.
00:27:44
Then you got a quarantine.
00:27:45
You can't even really get accustomed to everything around you and how you're gonna go about your routine.
00:27:50
And as an athlete, I think your routine is really important and your surroundings and how you prepare and they're gonna have to figure that out again.
00:27:58
Even though they're they're professionals, they have their own way of doing things they have been Like.
00:28:04
I said, they've been the Europe before, you know, they've done this before, but now it's just that added level of uncomfortable, you know, are being uncomfortable with the pandemic, right? Like that.
00:28:15
It's just such an unknown. Yeah.
00:28:17
I mean, totally.
00:28:18
It's gonna crush this because she went.
00:28:19
She went played in France and she was, like, a little bit older than me.
00:28:22
Couldn't speak a lick of French like just went and played.
00:28:27
Didn't know anybody, didn't know anything went by herself.
00:28:30
Her family wasn't even there right away, like Costa referees and stuff, even knowing what she was really upset.
00:28:37
Yeah, and so, you know, I think it's like it's a big adjustment, but like you said, I mean it.
00:28:42
Actually, these these women, they're just stuff pros.
00:28:44
Um, I'm really excited to see what that's gonna look like.
00:28:48
I also think it might help.
00:28:49
Ah, lot of American fans get really into the game across overseas because I think, sort of you see people sort of replicating those, like, you know, three major English teams.
00:29:00
That's kind of it hands, you know.
00:29:03
And then they rep the women's soccer team because our men's teams, I don't necessarily show up all the time doing that.
00:29:12
Other teams dio Oh, I think, And like you said, it's just been like that for her, for a long one.
00:29:20
You're getting a West Ham because, right, honestly, I was on Manchester United's about website today, looking at their jerseys.
00:29:32
Yes, correct, I might have.
00:29:34
I might have a jersey plug for you.
00:29:35
I got to Steve there.
00:29:37
They just were thinking about doing soccer, but it was like 40 bucks for professional jerseys.
00:29:43
I need it I'm gonna need one walking know something there, like their third jersey.
00:29:49
That's the other thing theme out of money that these So the deal with just about everyone listening.
00:29:54
I'm like, just talking to Perry, and I'm like they're people listening to probably also didn't respect my as much as we have.
00:30:01
Um, basically, even though these air the women's clubs over there, they're they're tied really closely.
00:30:09
Same thing like like Paris talking about earlier, the dash in the Dynamo like they're tied together.
00:30:14
But it's a little different, like there definitely is still a lot more money going into the men's teams.
00:30:19
But it's not that it's not separate them, right? It's not like the Sparks in the Lakers, though, where it's like there's a huge gap.
00:30:26
It's closer, but it's not as tight as man United ments men, United men's and women's because we in America have, like, you know, to jerseys.
00:30:37
They have sponsors all over them like NASCAR, and you know they have that, obviously, in Europe.
00:30:43
But it's not just, you know, basketball teams.
00:30:47
Also, there's men, city basketball teams, Barcelona basketball teams like you were that big of just a national entity which is what we go.
00:30:55
You you can get sprinkled your your name and somebody over there when it grow it.
00:31:01
Your powerhouse in the name of the fan days.
00:31:05
Definitely like the Seattle reign here in the US, and the Nwsl used to be the Seattle reign.
00:31:11
And then, oh, our is like a European collective.
00:31:15
It owns a bunch of teams.
00:31:16
They bought the Seattle Right now, they're the ol Rain.
00:31:19
If that just shows you like, it's a really weird world I've been digging into about owning soccer teams.
00:31:24
It's not necessarily it's not like the Dallas Cowboys.
00:31:28
There's not one.
00:31:29
But like you saw her owners groups is what you start to see.
00:31:33
Because the L A F c, for example, that men's league, the other men's Los Angeles Socrates besides the Galaxy that I think form like two years ago, it's Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm, Nomar Garciaparra, like you can the list.
00:31:49
It's a whole page.
00:31:50
You got to keep scrolling to see that the pictures of these Mr Groups and you're star struck.
00:31:54
You're like, How are all of these people on one and group chat? You know, you're like, Oh my God, like God.
00:32:00
They put all this money and it's immediately successful.
00:32:03
Like why? Because of the oceans And the resource is that you band together, use the correct name boom and it's just below is that kind of thing.
00:32:11
So I think it's just the marketing in sports is so interesting.
00:32:14
And now at 2021 I'm really interested to see out different teams attack different streaming sponsorships and you really, really take advantage of the new normal meantime while we continue to adjust.
00:32:27
You know, definitely.
00:32:29
I think that you were saying earlier.
00:32:31
I started.
00:32:32
This is interesting because, you know, golf was one of first force to come back Teoh and NASCAR and it was sort of this like not rebirth but, you know, arising of individual sports.
00:32:43
And America is very much based on team sports, and that's not necessarily true across the world.
00:32:49
And so seeing this like opportunity for individual sports and really take a big set for was really incredible, like you're saying about Soft and I have a kind of contact perfect window for soccer to take couple of step or two.
00:33:01
So I think that's something we're really gonna see in the next.
00:33:04
You know, who knows? Single probably two years were you know their time people back in Gillette, you know, and, um what won't sneeze and peace? But that's besides the shot.
00:33:19
It's how we roll.
00:33:21
Unfortunately, Yeah, so, you know, I hope in you.
00:33:25
I pray that, like those things get back to normal quickly.
00:33:28
But I think while there's this gap of what are we going to do, some of these other leagues can start taking steps board.
00:33:35
This could be the precedent of, like, you know, I need to say and I hate to say it cause it's not a real sport but E sports, which has a ready talk for a second.
00:33:45
I was like, No, no, no, no, no e sports.
00:33:48
It's electron exports.
00:33:50
Obviously it's blown up the last few years and you said it yourself, twitch.
00:33:57
All these things are right and live in that world.
00:34:00
One of the reasons why it's video games, sports, video games, all these different things.
00:34:05
Now you're starting to see it on different book use.
00:34:08
You're starting to see it.
00:34:09
Let's really get big.
00:34:11
And that's why I was able to bet on female soccer East works two nights ago at, like four in the morning, so I don't know how big that's gonna continue to get.
00:34:23
But I think that also is going to translate to more people becoming fans of the sport itself.
00:34:28
You know, you went a lot of money with the Houston Dash, for example, of theoretical Houston dash game ran by my Sarah leggy USN and randomly playing on twits.
00:34:40
Maybe I like in my heart.
00:34:41
I'm kind of a dash fan now, you know, like there's times that, like for gamblers, you're like, I don't give a **** about this team and then you gamble on them and they win in the most miraculous way.
00:34:50
And you're always a Kansas City Royals fan for no reason.
00:34:54
Just cause they have that were good experience with you, you know, and I feel like things like that.
00:34:59
It's weird how it sits with us, and I think that use force is something that it's weird.
00:35:04
I'm not gonna say I'm a massive fan of it, you know, But right, I think it's something that teams are gonna continue to take advantage of.
00:35:12
Their MBA has an official N B A to K leak that they're paying people $30,000 a year and putting them in an apartment toe playing video games for a official in New York.
00:35:25
Next back skee ball team.
00:35:27
Yeah, it's just Why wouldn't every sport dio question if that's the new fad? And it's also no risk, literally.
00:35:36
Why wouldn't you take advantage of that? I think you'll see virtual soccer duplicate teams of teams like the official Houston Dash e sports women's soccer team.
00:35:47
And maybe you have certain players that jump on and play every once in a while and stuff like I.
00:35:52
I see that that is just the easy marketing match for Who's the, um, Is it juju? Is he the player on the Steelers? Yeah, and he's a huge game or he's gotten a lot of people on.
00:36:05
I think you son, I think he signed with, like a group.
00:36:08
It's got these land like he's officially a member now.
00:36:11
Yeah, and he I feel like he came on a couple years ago.
00:36:15
It was sort of also the pivot point of like people were looking at E sports more.
00:36:18
It's like right around when Ninja started making like literal like rooms of money.
00:36:23
And so I feel like there was this shift and he was a part of it.
00:36:27
And then you see Matisse in the N B A.
00:36:30
You know, seven Ben Simmons. Yeah.
00:36:32
Name group is juju.
00:36:35
Yeah.
00:36:36
And you see, these guys like Matisse has a YOUTUBE channel.
00:36:38
He's blogging the bubble like iwas.
00:36:41
No, I love I love you So awesome.
00:36:46
I think like you're saying this e sports thing, I think the more players are they are gonna be involved online.
00:36:53
I think that's a really big opportunity.
00:36:55
O J J want super dope on Twitter.
00:36:57
I mean, that he was able to help with the like, the Houston hurricane.
00:37:00
And now he might by the Utah royal soccer team because this his wife places he's like, Yeah, I think I'm just gonna buy.
00:37:07
Would someone gave him, like, **** on Twitter about it where I'm here, Hope I can hum And someone was, like, on his grill and he, like, literally quote feed them was like, um hi.
00:37:20
Um, I'm gonna do it anyways, because I love this sport.
00:37:22
I have money.
00:37:24
It's not a cane.
00:37:26
Um, if you saw my signing contractors or rookie but he literally just That's the best from people who don't have the same amount of money as you tell you how to spend your money, right? And that's not me.
00:37:38
I'm not saying me or you have hit that point.
00:37:40
We haven't eclipse where we're sitting here curving on up $200 stacks for, like, what went through my head.
00:37:48
And I was like, Not me, though, to J.
00:37:50
J.
00:37:51
Warren, who are ****er you to tell JJ What? Not to do something with his money. You don't.
00:37:56
So, yeah, So we're bagging on Magic Johnson for, like, buying the Lakers and like, then quitting there.
00:38:03
Dude, you have no business being there.
00:38:04
It's like Did he's got throw much money, Do whatever you want, all right? Magic Johnson runs L.
00:38:12
A.
00:38:13
And I don't hear anything else because he owns that.
00:38:15
He owns the Dodgers.
00:38:16
He's got partial stake in the Lakers.
00:38:18
Still as advisory shares.
00:38:20
Yeah, owns the L. A. F.
00:38:23
C soccer team, and he is the creator of Fatburger, which I'm sure you didn't know which is super popular in Los Angeles.
00:38:31
It s so I'm sitting here looking.
00:38:34
I'm looking around in Los Angeles and everything I see has Magic Johnson's fingerprints on it.
00:38:39
And how do you not respect? He has the blueprint for How do you go from a successful sports career and turn that into becoming an entrepreneur? And it's just thinly saying to see.
00:38:50
And that's why I'm glad LeBron learned a little bit from him.
00:38:52
LeBron owns Blaze pizza.
00:38:54
He's doing all acting stuff, all the directing stuff.
00:38:57
And I'm excited to see how he involves different members of women sports into his gigs and stuff like that, because he's one of the biggest supporters of women's towards his Wells.
00:39:08
Like, I wouldn't be surprised to see a w N b a player on space job.
00:39:12
Yeah.
00:39:13
Oh, totally.
00:39:14
I think there will be.
00:39:15
It will be like, you know, it'll be like Schubert's Like it.
00:39:17
She'll be on.
00:39:18
Why not? If anyone's gonna do, it would have been Kobe, and then now it's it's gonna be abroad and then be if anyone's gonna make that movie, it's going to be, I mean, why the things it's been? I mean it.
00:39:31
I hear trying to you like the best wishes that getting like to emotional first drink.
00:39:37
Well, I grew up playing sports thinking like, you know, I like I like softball up.
00:39:42
I played it softball because I couldn't keep playing baseball, like, basically got to a point where they're like, You are a girl, though.
00:39:48
And here, like, but even though on every 6 ft tall maybe I'll make it And they're like your 57 and yeah, 11.
00:39:56
Some of my friends Thanks.
00:39:59
Not not technically And I'll be, though, get out.
00:40:02
And you know So you started at this point where you're like you're in high school and your high school teams win that many games, and you're like, I'm probably not gonna play in college.
00:40:11
And so, you know, I was like, OK, I guess, like I was going to stop playing for its not that sucks.
00:40:17
And so seeing, you know, I wish ports have been where they are now 10 years ago.
00:40:21
And I just, like, still admire the bravery of all these women who, like our my age and older, who have just kept pushing, kept fighting anywhere they were now and seeing all those guys in the MBA where the WNBA's hoodies wearing, I'm sure that was the number one piece of apparel in the world for things for a week or two.
00:40:43
There was the number one reason a barrel in the world like it was blowing up that weren't study.
00:40:48
And I think I was about to go get scorn shot when my paycheck.
00:40:51
It's because I saw someone on Twitter put like a dad hat on, and it was the orange.
00:40:56
Instead, I was like that so sick I didn't get that way.
00:41:00
Have a black one with Orange Loga Award about World War Saddle.
00:41:03
I think it could be meaning.
00:41:04
It's like wrapping that, like, kind of like it doesn't fit my color entirely.
00:41:10
Why don't you make it for me? It is about It will sweep It grabbed me and we're this hand and I'll just give him out in the network is like the most fire thing for like the cheapest price on fanatics ever like a Yankees cap Costas much it's did, if you envy anybody like it doesn't make sense.
00:41:29
But that's gonna change.
00:41:30
I'm seriously, I think I think obviously out of the year that we're putting in a lot of groundwork for social reform, for gender reform for so many things that we needed to take major steps forward is certainly like I grew up in California.
00:41:42
So, like I think I were in a very progressive state, myself and my families super accepting.
00:41:48
I just I've never seen anything beyond the kind of person that you are.
00:41:53
And I think that not enough people are like that.
00:41:56
And it's not necessarily sucks that its's normalized in certain areas around the country, of different ways, of treating certain people in certain things in certain leagues and just a certain misconceptions from the past.
00:42:11
So I think now we're putting a lot of things on the forefront, putting it in people's faces and saying, This is what the new way is.
00:42:18
This is what we support.
00:42:20
This is how it is.
00:42:21
And if you're not with it, it's no longer like everyone has an opinion.
00:42:25
Just get off the train.
00:42:26
Move aside like your opinions not relevant.
00:42:29
We don't want to hear the bashing like I don't want to hear that you could beat a W N B A player on a one on one game.
00:42:35
You would loose and score zero points and that is the reality.
00:42:41
I played basketball my whole life.
00:42:42
Other people.
00:42:43
I would not put up a point against here.
00:42:45
Cooper.
00:42:46
I would not even dream that, like, it's good luck having super school, you on how to play basketball like or any of these guys are any of these women that are just so talented and it's just what UFC look at these women fighting.
00:43:00
What, are you ****ing serious? I have got a sore.
00:43:03
When I was in a barber once I was getting a haircut, obviously pre pandemic.
00:43:06
And this guy who I just wanted to finish my haircut and just kept talking and talking and talking.
00:43:10
He was just going off about Not he wouldn't lose the one you have seen woman and how they're probably 55 And he said that Whatever.
00:43:18
Not just me.
00:43:19
Everyone is people that worked with them.
00:43:22
Every person getting a haircut is looking at this guy like, Do you wonder if you're asking black Stop like, first off? Stop disrespecting the professionals that do this for riser like, are you professional as about? No.
00:43:37
Um, I know, but these people got there for a reason.
00:43:41
Like, I don't know.
00:43:42
Some people just have the most screwed of minds.
00:43:44
But I think like I said, financial backing is gonna continue to get flown into these leagues definitely in the way that were doing things.
00:43:51
Hence different products of the league, like the Hoody that's gonna go up other things for 12 with inflation anyways, but just just pure popularity, which is a necessity.
00:44:01
I don't know why I have taken this long for us to get to this point, you know, I know.
00:44:06
I totally agree.
00:44:07
It's sort of it's strange seeing the shift all of a sudden because my whole life I've been like, you know, I'm the girl that guys always be like Isabelle. No sports.
00:44:17
It's like you know, the other girls I'm friends with also no secret lamb like it's right, I dio.
00:44:23
And can you not just accept the fact that is well in those sports without asking her who the starting lineup was for the 1994 Yankees when they played on a rainy night? And it's like, Why would you ask me that? No.
00:44:36
So why the **** would you have someone else that I don't know? That it So why would they go at it? Like what and me and Amber joke about that all the time.
00:44:44
Like when people had her back, like So make a comment about a sport and they'll be like So like, what was the weather where it's warm? Team won the championship in 1963 and she's just like what you like.
00:44:55
You know, my dad that we're talking about for who was even now.
00:45:00
But like we're talking about a new Notre Dame coach is in the news recently, and, um, my dad was like a ball while I was like to look, you don't know who that is.
00:45:10
And I was like telling that one degree the Wikipedia page like this.
00:45:16
You never know where this weird thing with, like, I feel like, you know, you guys like us to it competitively.
00:45:22
But if, like for women, it's like when I hear so I don't know about sports.
00:45:26
I'm reading in the car at home because I'm like, Okay, I don't want that.
00:45:28
I have one of better when I dedicate yourself, and I think that's just how everybody should be in the sports market.
00:45:34
I mean, no one that was everything.
00:45:35
And for me, for example, is women's sports. My forte.
00:45:38
No, it's not, you know, And I really take like I'm talking more from an ****ytics six point of view instead of a fan, and I'm covering stuff now.
00:45:48
I mean, we're on a stream right now talking women's soccer.
00:45:50
We're talking e sports things that I wouldn't consider myself an expert in educating myself.
00:45:55
I'm interested.
00:45:56
I want to learn more.
00:45:57
And now I would say after this stream and after my research, after doing things I've taken that next step, you know, have the actual And I feel like everyone should be open to all sports, every single kind of way that were doing things that even sports like for me.
00:46:10
I first I thought it was a joke, but now it's like I'm starting to see, like, you know, how there are people that are doing this, and it's a really cool way of going about it. It's it's different.
00:46:19
I'm betting on it just a little bit.
00:46:21
Just see if I get heart into it and be open there any sports.
00:46:25
And even if you have a misconception of something in the ask, you just need to be open to educating yourself.
00:46:30
And that goes for every single person in this sports market.
00:46:34
So for sure, I mean, that's just what you're saying.
00:46:37
It's so important to keep your your eyes in your heart open.
00:46:41
You know it just like, you know, keep learning things.
00:46:43
I think you know, I'm the kind of person you like.
00:46:45
I watched cricket, which is I'll say it not the most interesting always came within.
00:46:52
But, you know, I just love sports so much.
00:46:54
And I think we've seen how important sports art us right now.
00:46:58
Well, that Nike commercial, basically, like, you know, broke everyone in the world hearts you how oh, humming there was how beautiful sports can be in there.
00:47:07
You know, I think that's sort of what it's about, you know, as the world gets more and more more accepting and we're loving everybody, I hope that, you know, that also means that will be more more except the difference for it in supporting each other.
00:47:19
Because, of course, I mean, these people are incredible.
00:47:22
They're so talented and, you know, being able to be alive at the same time as these people were such an honor.
00:47:28
You know, being sports taken away from me like having sports taken away from me for the first time, my life.
00:47:33
I don't care what sport it is like I'm into it. I'm happy it's back.
00:47:37
I'm just appreciative of the league and the people that it takes to even make these sports possible, like the business behind it, especially being the owner of a network myself.
00:47:46
Stuff like I just see things so differently now.
00:47:48
And I just appreciate so many aspects of how sports are creating but also just executed.
00:47:54
It's just, and these athletes are just maintaining their, you know, athletic abilities throughout the year and providing us just a great product but also using their platforms for better.
00:48:04
I just think it's remarkable.
00:48:06
I'm and it's really something that's taken too long.
00:48:09
And it started with LeBron with the whole, you know, we will not shut up in dribble and then it just things things had to get so ****ed up in this world for us toe.
00:48:18
Just make it a normal thing, Teoh say what we feel is right before we say our opinion, you know, and I think that that is the most important thing because you can have an opinion on anything, but you need to know what's right and wrong and what side is morally correct.
00:48:35
Stand on.
00:48:36
So I think that's something some people are learning later, you know.
00:48:39
But I guess it's better late than never for society so But I think that's a perfect note to end on. I think together.
00:48:46
But I think we have some women's soccer and we had e sports.
00:48:49
We had equality across differently.
00:48:52
We had some social justice stuff in here.
00:48:54
We had the pandemic talk that we had quite an interesting stream, and it's been super super on Isabel, obviously, any time I get to check has to get talk to you.
00:49:03
I'm super pumped to do that.
00:49:04
Um, I'm a little that you pushed me into learning a little bit more about the specifics of certain leagues in different things, and I'm having so much fun.
00:49:15
And I know you are too anyways, well distributed job about a month ago.
00:49:18
So she's absolutely murdering the professional market right now and still staying active with us, of course, and doing unwrap sports stuff when she can.
00:49:27
So I wanted to make sure I put her on here and, you know, talk about some massive news that's happening on this stuff.
00:49:31
You know, we got talking about when we got it.
00:49:33
So but, yeah, let's send off for people for me.
00:49:36
Let him know where they could find you on social media.
00:49:39

00:49:41
This is been really fun talking.
00:49:43
Perry's always blast because, I mean, he really is just like so, But it was a good example.
00:49:47
Like what people can do when they actually, you know, just purely loves for reports.
00:49:53
Um, you know, I mean, like, nothing's cooler than having someone care about your investment time learning other things you care about.
00:49:59
So that's just so well, um, thank you all for lead coming.
00:50:04

But yeah, And you see what you got carried through.
00:50:22
I mean, Perry for the beast.
00:50:23
And like he works so hard all the time for the skin For so many people, Any orchestrates all bus and like I mean, he really cares nothing about sports but about us.
00:50:32
And like, that's just such a cool such a cool thing.
00:50:35
So I'm really grateful Gonna cry only ****.
00:50:38

00:02:42
Yeah, I definitely I'm Isabel. Sarah.
00:49:39
Yeah.
00:49:40
I mean, yeah, like Perry said, Thanks for joining us.
00:50:04
Hang out with us for a while.
00:50:05
I hope we can do this more.
00:50:06
You can find me. Isabel.
00:50:08

00:50:09
Isabel, underscore Sierra Leone Instagram my last names in my bio.
00:50:13
If you want to pull it out, it's the stuff.
00:50:15
One for sure You were there, right? Right here.
00:50:20
But yeah, And you see what you got carried through.
00:50:22
I mean, Perry for the beast.
00:50:23
And like he works so hard all the time for the skin For so many people, Any orchestrates all bus and like I mean, he really cares nothing about sports but about us.
00:50:32
And like, that's just such a cool such a cool thing.
00:50:35
So I'm really grateful Gonna cry only ****.
00:50:38
People first contents, second people, If you run anything in life, look at people first when their works.
