All right, there's my lengthy intro.
Sorry about that.
I was just gonna say I'm ah.
Unfortunately for myself, I I put some money on the jazz in game six and seven and unfortunately did not cash out on a bet.
I mean, I would have put the money on it, too.
Obviously, it's gonna be a tough subject to really get into with you guys being on the losing end of it.
But at the end of the day, I really think there's a lot to feel good about from this syriza lot to feel good about about certain players on the team.
We're going to really dive into all of this jazz coverage today.
Obviously, you see, he's still staying true to my, you know, colors into my my team.
I got my Lakers Garon, but the end of the day, this is gonna be more of a jazz center extreme, you could see.
And by the way, that has to be top three jerseys of all time.
Oh, yeah, My In my opinion, I think any any kind of version of that or the Grizzlies jersey from back in the day have to be to investors.
Yeah, and we even have the matchup of the mountain jerseys versus the old school grizzly jerseys in the bubble this year.
Tooth and I was not I mean, I feel like a this point.
The Jersey innovations are pretty cool with the whole New Jersey every year from the team that's inspired by someone.
So I'm excited to see the different spin offs, For example, like the Miami Heat jerseys.
Those aren't really throwback jerseys, those Air Onley ones they've done throughout the last five years.
And they might be some of the cleanest verses I've ever seen.
Miami Vice Jersey.
So we'll see what keeps come in and to get credit.
Denver The Denver city jerseys they had were really We're really clean with here, too.
So they were. I saw.
But no, I'd give to have a credible let's let's give never a lot of credit.
For what? A lot of something that this year like it.
You know, Jack Twitter Right now, Jazz nation not feeling great.
Um, uh, and you know, part of I think is now they can't make 31 jokes to the growth it wears anymore.
But Perry, we live in a bubble right now, right? The devil is in a bubble.
Things are just different.
Um, after Game four, there's a lot of optimism on with jazz fans because, you know, once you got pretty one, that's usually a death sentence for the other team.
But we talk about this.
Ah, pot was your various people about how being in the boat was different? You know, there's no travel days you're paying.
You're playing every other day.
I think Body Box even talked about how if there was a time to do it, to come back from 31 The bubble situation is, but there's no home quarter that they don't know fan noise in the battles that you hear is it? Then you know there's not that energy.
Oh, and it's It's interesting, like you said, because with the lack of home court advantage, of course it's going to make it more of, like an au style, more of a March Madness style.
Although March Madness still has that same feeling with the crowd that it would be more relative to the every other day, feel where you have to keep suiting up and keep going with that tournament style.
So it's interesting to see and you're 100% right.
There is much higher chance for those 31 upsets in this kind of neutral state without you being able to do your normal rituals, anything along those lines.
You do have some of your family there now if you requested it.
So I guess some of it is becoming a little more normalized for some of these players.
But still, it's different.
You're in the bubble.
You need to adjust differently.
You need to play differently.
So it definitely is a different mind set, a different feel.
I definitely agree with you.
And I think losing 31 here isn't quite as bad as if it would have been you losing 31 Having you know, home games that you're just fumbling in front of your home crowd.
I think that's a little tougher in the more traditional sense.
So I for the Jazz would feel less bad about how this one went down because of the neutral site.
I really do feel like it's anyone's ballgame.
Every time you go out there, there's nothing that's gonna end your way.
So I agree with you.
It's a very interesting dynamic, and I'm but really excited to see how many more things like this happen for the rest of the bubble.
Yeah, I mean, I'm ah, right now.
Milwaukee and Miami are are engaged in a battle right now. Right there, There.
Ah, Miami already has.
The one stole the first game against Milwaukee.
Um, you know, they went tonight, then. That's okay.
In that situation, you still the first two games, you to go back to your home, your home court home crowd.
And, you know, um, happened to the Jazz? Like gave five.
The the the Nuggets were down like the Nuggets so that they were out like it like that.
They have given up their down 31 It's over.
And then the last quarter and a half, Jamal Murray, you're allowed to mom or, um uh, turn it on.
It's really been Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell for the most of this series.
And that's something we really need to talk about because they put up numbers that were really unlike any other.
And we'll start with Donovan Mitchell.
Since you know works focusing more on the Jazz will give our props to Murray, of course, who just put on an absolutely insane performance.
Has he proven that he's a number one and needs support around him? Has he proven that he needs more help like I'm really curious to hear where your head's at with Spider.
Considering he did say he was interested signing an extension with the Jazz, which is great news for Jazz Nation.
If there's one destination needed today, feel good about that.
It's got to be that, you know, he's locking in long term.
He loves worries at which is really, really great to hear because he's really dedicated.
He was slept on.
He was picked right at the end of the lottery or, like one pick outside the lottery, something along those lines.
So he wasn't completely slept on.
But the Jazz took a chance on him, and he's really, really ran with it.
So what's next for Donovan Mitchell? What's next for him and the yellow? Because, like so Donovan's like timeline, right? Came in as a rookie.
Ah, you know, every thought.
He was going to be good and then, you know, a quarter into the season, he just went nuclear.
Whoa, you know, like even people like while this dream that every thought that he was going to be this good, he was he was a late lottery pick.
Some of the jazz trading up for some of that came into the league, you know, with the flaws.
But like, Oh, you know, he's got the four because of his defensive ability in his late And he, you know, showed you know, he was very close to give that rookie of the year workers.
Then he had a sop****re.
Slump slumps right where he actually improved, but he didn't like, make a leap like every now and every kind of thinks that leaps are what you know.
You keep making leaked as opposed to incremental like hops on.
You know, he got better in the second year, a little more efficient.
And then this year, the third year, it was more of the same.
Like he was good.
But like you just didn't see that like that, you know? And what's interesting is that, you know, the just were off from March Tau Argus, right? That's the lace oven off season.
So this is almost another option for you guys.
Don Mitchell, que passionate about the playoffs start and you know everything we think we have.
No, this feeling.
He just keeps raising it.
And it was almost like 1/4 year player when you put it that way where he's like entering his fourth year when you're going into the bubble like where he's had that extra time and just really quick.
Want to appreciate Penguin Fan? 0072 senses a whistle.
So thank you so much.
And everyone else that's came in and see Jane and Steph haven't seen that name in here before, very much appreciated on.
So we're gonna keep moving on here.
But, like you said with Donovan Mitchell, he has improved every year.
I know you said this year was more of the same.
It was pretty much practically the same.
It was like 720.
2 difference, you know, an improvement.
So it went from 23.
8 to 24 you know, assists jumped up from 4.
3, so practically the same rebounds went up from 4.
So, like you said, very small jumps when you start off the way that you did because he didn't come in and put up 11 point per game, you know, to rebound one assist kind of line for his rookie year, he came in, he put up 20 points a game and you know similar rebounds and assists.
So he said it pretty high standard for himself, Which is why you thought this guy's ceiling is right there.
He's already coming in a little bit older than the younger prospects.
He's already putting up these numbers.
He's probably out where he's going to stay, and he has still taking those boosts up and I think is well deserving of a contract extension.
What what's the Jazz next move without him? If they don't write, like, I think that there was some because Jevon Roads put it in the universe and, you know, just ****ation.
You know, the world was me type ever since, Uh, 97 98 happened.
But, uh, yeah, there was talking.
People were worried that he would take the quality being offered because, you know, New York always puts out there.
You know, Donovan, if Michelle is gonna be a nick at some point, and that would be a stupidly unprecedented move to not take the rookie extension.
You know, everybody takes working extension just, you know, like so, Remember the year that Donovan came into the league with the year that Gordon Hayward left the Jazz.
Yeah, I got lucky.
You got an opportunity.
Well, I mean, I know only that, like I was supporting the dot have been Jersey after his rookie year.
And everywhere I went, every was like, Oh, my God.
Like, do you think that it is going to stay? And Jonathan were still burned by Gordon Hayward.
And I also a total body like, Hey, look, you have seven years.
Yeah? Get over. Get over it.
I just You have a rookie contract.
You have his extension like Is that Central? Was never in doubt.
In my mind. Yes.
Um I mean, if anything, like if if everything just goes really badly in the next two years, he'll astra trade and everything was really badly.
Yeah, he probably deserves to be traded, you know, like, but I think that the more interesting thing I'm gonna ask is I think Mitchell's future with the jazz is pretty certain.
What about the players around him? Like, what does he need to take them over? And I'm not saying that they this team could have beaten the Nuggets, right? This was a tossup.
This a seven game series that shot almost went it like this was a very competitive series.
But what do they need to take them to a perennial contender around Donovan Mitchell? Like Do they need another star and get, I guess, more of a weaker bench in return? Do they need to continue with the more team basketball friendly? Think is Rudy, Go bear in the future like I'm part of your thoughts.
So first went like, I think the Jazz have a second star like Rudy Gobert off That regal bear is really underappreciated, And I can look.
I mean, look at the game last night.
Like that second taproot ago, Bear was just dominating like Denver was Nevers defense.
Our offense could not get because Rudy was guarding two players at once, you know, off the pick and roll.
He was stopping whoever was coming off the off the pick, I think, getting back to to make sure the shots at the rim were being defended like he was playing out of his mind.
Um, unfortunately, this year that Rudy had some lapses where he just hasn't been totally focused in every game on and you see the fallout that him and Mitchell had At some point, it seems like they put it back together in regard to e guess. Keeping in PC.
I can't really I know you can't even no one can really speak to how serious the problems were or if they're completely that.
Does that make Rudy want to leave? Do you think preparing for the future? I think they're I mean, when there's smoke, there's fire.
But I also don't know.
It would seem a little overblown.
Like Rubio, Bear was outed as the first corroded by his patient patient.
And, you know, like we saw weeks after that, people were not being named like it was like one of his, like Elway by the radical Bear has total buyers, and every took ad and reasons itself like, Oh, my God, Rudy, go bare shutdown.
Really rude ago, Bear, uh, is the you know, patients, you know, when we don't know where he got it from.
But he has got it from any one of those players.
I think more just interrupt on that.
I think it was more of that public showing that he did in that press conference.
It was unfortunate.
It was really just joking about it and then going in touching stuff.
So I think that were the public perception is a little deserved for how I guess it was originally handled.
I'm not gonna lie and say that I, like Luke grew to go bare the exact same as a person after that.
But then when he apologized, you could tell it was genuine.
You're gonna hold a grudge against someone that didn't have necessarily the knowledge, I guess from this.
But at the same time, I'm a kind of guy that's been taking this serious from the jump, like from the jump.
Like was like, I'm taking three.
So I'm not gonna speculate too much on.
And so it's hard for me because it's unfortunate mistake.
It was hard for me to the in March, like people were like we there was talks about it.
But I mean, if it wasn't for that incident, it wasn't for the bay shutting down.
People were masking up, you know, half the public were still like, Oh, it's just the flu, you know? There I mean, there was just I mean, you know, But then that's that.
And now I won't speak to more towards.
But let's go back to the parent.
So what did the Jazz have? So they lost.
We are Bogdanovich this year, right? Put a 20 point for game scored a big loss.
The other thing, though, is that last year the Jazz were one that was not the best.
Like the top three defensive teams in the league, Radical Bear was a two time defensive player of the Year.
This year, they gave you know they lost Ricky Rubio, who was a plus defender.
Derrick favors Jae Crowder, and you know they got better offensively.
But they gave up a lot defensively, and, you know, like I ought to get your Mulberry props for exploiting that, like Jamal Murray, who had not been known as a consistent model player, has because assistance teams in his career, let's see how he does when he play.
The Jazz defense was pretty horrid.
This playoff against the Clippers.
I mean, they got Clippers probably have the best perimeter defenders in the league.
When it comes to Paul George Kawhi Leonard and Pap Everly, who seems to be healthy going into this. Siri's right.
So it's gonna be we'll see what it is like people, right? I don't think I don't say this, you know.
But Marbury's got prove it against the Clippers.
Like, be guy, I got in trouble.
He would have to prove it against those guys for me to say, OK, you know, back as a top I player in the n b a.
Like Don was not there yet, you know? Um, so, yeah.
So you gonna go down, Donovan? Because a lot of his younger the jazz have this would know, But if the Jazz want Oh, if the jazz was just wanna win a championship, we need to do it this next year.
You know Mike Conley still on the books for another year. Boycott.
Bogdanovich has a couple of years left, but he's also going to be, you know, past 30 suit.
Um, you know, Rudy, go bare A on his last year before the you know, the Supermax extension.
The jazz will have the mid level exception this this summer.
So how did my annual exceptions every day they have the number 23 pick in the draft.
Right, um and and don't have the birth during Clarkson.
So I'm just I was gonna say I'm a big fan of Jordan Clarkson, obviously from a guy who saw him come from really nothing on the Lakers and seeing him at a great time for him because the Lakers were struggling in a big way.
They needed points and they needed opportunity.
And for him, he came in.
He took advantage of that, made a name for himself, and you see him continue to mature with his game.
And when he got to Utah, you Comptel, he just became such a reliable bench player for you guys.
Whenever he came in the game, it was very Jamal Crawford. Ask.
It was very Lou Williams asked where? Just a media energy A microwave is when I like to call it like hot in 30 seconds, they come out.
You just immediately could expect that from them.
And that is so valuable to a team.
Because when you're looking for a second unit, you need to have not just a leader but immediate energy, because when you're facing is somebody else's second unit.
That's the time to take advantage.
That's why guys like Lou Williams have feasted in their career.
They go out against guys that they feel they're better.
That second stringers.
Technically, when Lou Williams would start on any team, Jordan Clarkson should be starting on half the teams in the N B A, depending on which team he lands on.
But I think right now him being coming off the bench in Utah is something you guys need to hang onto for a while because he seems to be a great fit.
Ah, perfect backup behind Donovan Mitchell.
And he can handle the ball at times, too.
He's been considered a point guard at different times to this career, but he's a natural to He is a score first kind of guy, but he can handle the ball if you really need him to.
Also, he's a very interesting piece off the bench.
You've got ah, lot of guys that I think are very slept on coming off the bench that are good pieces for the like Tony Bradley needs to get cut.
I think Joe Ingles is I think Joe Ingles is a good player.
I think he's interesting.
You like what he brings with the energy, but I just don't know if if he's the right guy.
I don't know if there's a way to move on from him in the future, but he is on the older side like you need to see how you could continue to get better defensively as well.
You mentioned they did lose a lot of good defensive pieces last year, and that's true, even though they did get a lot being the return like there was a like losing all of those guys at once completely changed the team.
And I think that Quin Snyder is such a slept on coach.
This guy is a seriously good coach, makes the most out of whatever players that he has.
He's not completely a players coach because he's got a good system, but he still brings the most out of every player that's there.
It gets them to buy in.
And you know, I think he has a lot to do with the Jazz success in his tenure.
Yeah, this this office is going to be because I serve number one.
I'm a getting boy are back because when the Jets had ball Young this year, they were very, very good.
Uh, the jazz hit, you know, I would say, Hit on my call and believe in Bogdanovich did it, did it.
Why? Conley had a kid and came back and just went off.
He said, I'm the fifth inning.
I'm the joke, you know, instead of hold my beers that I hold my baby.
Um, but I must My collie and Julian are going to be their starters next year.
Right? Joe Ingles and maybe Royce, You know, off the bench, the Jazz are gonna need to get somebody to play that fort.
But those parliaments with the Jazz this year, they got Jeff Green, and you may be moved a on the cheap.
And they also got Ed Davis on the cheap.
And those three lose didn't work out.
They went over three. Which sucks.
It's true, because I'm you know, you you would hope At least you hope that all of you guys possible.
You would hope at least one of those guys would've Yeah, and some sort of contribution.
Yeah, Jeff Green is not a bad player.
Like look what he's doing for the Rockets.
He just didn't fit well with the Jazz at Davis, who for years has been a great defender and rebounder.
Um, just can't stand the floor for the Jazz like, I mean, he just got lost in the scheme.
Um, and you know that for some reason, they can't make it work.
And so this year the job's gonna have, you know 2313 more pieces, about two more pieces to add.
And hopefully the problem is that to get some quality players, so you have the mid level exception.
That's probably be some veteran who's going to be on the last contract.
Navy Derrick favors if he wants to take a pay cut.
Maybe Marc Gasol, Who knows? I was gonna say a guy like Marc Gasol or someone like a big guy that's on that last contract, like you said, that could bring that veteran presidents bring that toughness down low with Rudy Gobert, Take a little bit of pressure off him.
I think that's the key right there because I don't have your perimeter pretty set.
But the problem of Jordan Clarkson is that the jazz eso if the rumors are true that the cap stays the way it is, and the tax line goes up.
So teams aren't like in a real mess.
The Jazz will be pretty close to the tax rush, our threshold so they can get the drop A they can get, you know, a couple of session players, maybe.
Ah, some on veterans minimum.
And then, if Jordan Carson feels like he fits with the Jazz and she feels like I really feel like he's found, I think he feels like that.
If he feels like he can bickmore next offseason, maybe we'll sign a one on one, you know.
Ah, and give the Jazz a discount for this year, see how it go, see if it works for the whole year and then and then try to go next offseason where feel radically, they'll be because they're not that many teams who are who have cap friendly, um, budgets this year.
So not about a lot of free agents are going to be making a lot of money.
It's gonna it's gonna be a little bit of Mormon untraditional offseason to Obviously, the timing is a little bit different, and you can see the bubble is gonna be seen a little bit differently.
I think for me, I look at it like with the You look at Kemba Walker.
You look at Collin ***ton, all these guys that had good years in college, but they made their name in the tournament like they went out there and they put on a show and that's what boosted their draft stock.
And it's not gonna be the exact same thing with the bubble.
But I really do feel like the bubble has that weird, isolated feeling, a little bit more eyes on it, especially because of the pandemic and the fact that there are more eyes on it.
Unless things going on, I really do feel like certain players.
Their mistakes are magnetized, but their success is air going to be blown up a little bit more on this kind of scale, and then that might carry into an untraditional off season.
And I don't know if that means that money is gonna be flying around like 2013 and you know, stuff like that.
But I really do feel like certain players are gonna make their money and maybe have to take pay cuts and have to take more team friendly deals because of a good overall bubble performance or just a complete flop in the bubble because there was all that time off you come back.
I think that's gonna be the sample size that teams are gonna be judging you from for the most part, and I think that's interesting.
Let me let me ask you now, um, a couple questions for you.
What do you think? The most exciting person Siri's that the playoffs was? It's got It's got to be nuggets and Jess.
It's definitely got to be, in my opinion, and then rockets and thunder.
Regardless of how tonight goes, I think that both these teams don't matter who wins.
It's been a great Siri's, but I think jazz, thunder, sorry, jazz and Nuggets was just exhilarating.
So that s so you.
Both teams, like bookies, have problems.
Both teams were the bodies were not here of like they're fun, but they're probably not charity contender yet.
Like like I don't think the Jazz, that's why not too heartbroken about the loss, because I think they were gonna lose second round regardless, you know.
So they they lost couple certainly it is what it is.
But I'm like Denver show you something new that you didn't expect it to. Joshua.
We knew that you'd expect.
No, I mean, I think we we kind of timed on a little bit was more of the star power of Donovan Mitchell and Jamal Murray.
At the very least, the heart of a number one like they definitely have the heart of a number one, and you're gonna want that competitive drive on your team.
My Yokich, That doesn't look like a champion.
To me, it doesn't look like it's not even like an appearance thing.
It's more of his energy and what he brings to the team.
I don't ever see him demand something.
I don't ever see him go out there and just control the room.
Go out there and control a game.
Control a Siri's when you're needed most.
You see the guys that have that dog in them and have that heart, and I think Donovan Mitchell and Jamal Murray just proved that.
I think Rudy go bury like you said is one of the most underrated players in the league.
Were you just looking it from a performance standpoint He's a walking double double, of course, but it's not just that, Like you said multi time defensive player of the year and even when it's in off year for him, he's still in contention for defensive player of the year.
The more support you get on that team, the more players like him are going to be able to focus on that craft.
Focus on defense, and it's gonna be a perennial defensive player of the year if they can get the right formula on that team.
I think the pairing is good as long as all of that.
You said there's smoke, there's fire.
There was problems as long as those air patched up and they are good to go and they're looking at it from the bigger picture.
It's a bigger picture.
You play basketball, you suit up together and you make the right moves.
Like you said and you look at this as maybe not just the next year project, either the next two or three years with the extension of Donovan Mitchell.
This is our time table.
We need to get it done in that time and for the Nuggets.
I don't think anything.
They have no chance against the Clippers.
In my opinion, I would have honestly given more of a chance to the Jazz.
And I people disagree with me a little.
I think when I talk to certain people about that, But I really do think that jazz with Rudy go bare facing with zoo bots, an undersized Harrow.
You know, those kind of right.
And I think the second that you get Donovan Mitchell on a guy like Lou Williams in that second unit.
He's fried chicken.
I'm sorry in Pep, Ev.
I hope he comes back.
I don't ever wish for anyone's injury and stuff, but he hasn't really been playing.
He hasn't been consistent.
You can't bank on it.
There's just a little more question marks with the matchups for the Jazz.
There, Yokich is, is a perfect match up for Zuba.
So it's so sad because I hate Zuba so much, not just because he left the Lakers.
I just don't know what I hate about his game.
He's just it just seems like he's just bouncing around and he doesn't leave the floor when he jumps, and it's just he seems like he walks that line of finesse and then you see a small amount of power.
But Zuba is a productive player.
Don't get me wrong.
But if there's a matchup for him to be ableto dominate, it's gonna be against Yokich.
Come on, A Mason Plumlee is the only one that's going to be ableto bang with him and the on the one that's gonna be able to put a true body on him.
Rudy Gobert would of dominated in that Siri's and Mitchell would have found his way, depending on the matchup, because when he's getting guarded by If that was Kwai, certain times capped.
At certain times, Paul draws a 42 ft.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying? It's all about the coaching and this scheme at that point, and I really think the Jazz would have, at the very least, stolen a couple games from the Clippers.
The Jazz would have maybe taken into six, even seven, like you saw what just happened in the last series.
So I really do believe that the Jazz would have had bunch of been better chance than the Nuggets do Right now.
I'm just not sold on the Nuggets.
I was sold on some of the pieces that they have.
I think that the coaching is always going to be good.
They're just like with the Jazz.
I'm a big fan of both the coaches.
I think both the bullet teams love playing for their coaches.
I really think that certain pieces for the Nuggets work.
I think my Michael Porter is really, really intriguing.
But he gives up more points on Devalue and he puts up.
He was almost unplayable, some pliable.
It's it's tough.
It's tough to watch certain things because you see it.
You're like, Oh, Bull Bowl and Michael Porter Jr.
You see these things happen, You see these flashes of greatness.
But then you see why they shouldn't be on the court for more than 20 minutes sometimes, and you're like, Well, it's gonna take some coaching or it's gonna take some really, really savvy moves or just amazing rotations for all of these things, toe work on a consistent basis for years to come and become a championship contender.
I'm more confident in the pieces that the Jazz have with just Mitchell and go bare and keeping, you know, Clarkson, right? As I think those are the three that are must keep.
And there's other guys that I think are critical to team success off the bench that I think show more off the box when the Yang is a guy that when I watch him play, I'm like he just hits timely shots.
He gets to have one of those in a while.
I I see it in the playoffs.
Even I was like, I see him getting to his spots And I think there's just times that I see him coming off the bench and I'm like, OK, well, that maybe a guy that does more for the team.
But I also don't see a lot coming from defense, so it's just the defensive problem.
It's hard because the Jazz were just You are losing bogey, the judgment very.
They have a very deep pension, scared to to begin with.
So hopefully adding bogey back next year and you know, hopefully adding two or three offseason pieces short.
Think Clarkson shouldn't even be a six now.
I think Carson should probably your seventh race tonight.
You should probably have like if Jeremy Grant was available.
You're not, You know, Jamie got with this.
Just seems like a guy. That's the tough defenders.
And if you put him in the corner to shoot three will do that.
You know, like Royce O Neill, But taller.
It's what? When I was, you know, Bruce O Neal's been really, really nice this year to a like I said off the box score a lot of the times to just place he is there, Jae Crowder, I think this year. Yeah.
And then I got he like, he will shoot when he needs to.
And I'm He usually takes the toughest side whether it's, you know, Ashleigh Davis or yolk attempts that sound for domination one.
I was going to say he came guard two through five.
Yeah, he rethinking guard.
I don't think he couldn't handle the point.
Unless you're running with someone that's doing a point.
You know, I really think force, right? So, yeah, on hard at the same time, to some of the centers nowadays to you go up against the Clippers, I truly think you could have putting up him against Montrose Harrell if you needed Teoh. Yeah.
I mean, maybe he plywood keep firewood taken quite appalling towards, you know, And that is that he is the best perimeter.
So if the Jaschan find I don't know, the just couldn't figure out to get a couple of perimeter defenders.
You get three Royston deal types in there.
I just rotated them in and out.
You know about the game.
Ah, and maybe even through.
I mean, that's a pretty tough defense, you know? I mean, even even getting a guy in the draft like or even out of the draft.
Like Lou Door, for example.
On under, he's a guy that's already bobbing up James Harden and people want to throw well, James Harden still put up 30 points State, But look at how many fallacies getting How many times is Lou Door in the game.
How many times he switched off and whenever I watched Lou on pretty much anyone, he's got the body to bang.
He's putting in the effort.
He's always, always going 100 miles an hour, and even though the threes for sometimes in the playoffs, we're all like blue door stop shooting threes, but like to see that confidence from a rookie to see him continue to shoot and making some timely shots and and him continue to keep his confidence on the second on the other end of the ball.
Like that's a guy that you can get out of the draft like, you know, if you if you just get lucky with a couple guys that fit the Quin Snyder way and can play defense, even guys like lewd or have the lowest price tag, that's a perfect jazz.
If the desk it like if it doesn't even hit one out of the other three actors in the summer last summer Ed Davis, Jeff Green or Moody A Who knows, you know, But I'm hopefully only would make the Nuggets.
Yeah, Hopefully the Jazz number can fix that up this year.
And, you know, and Donovan showed like Man Donovan on the graph stages, man, you just sometimes ever he plays really big.
So right now, I think that's what you look for in the start.
You look for when you when it counts, who's gonna come through right away.
I think that he showed that so as a Laker stand on.
Who do you want to face in the next round? You want pace, Chris, Paul and the thunder Or face out that that really, uh, interesting Rockets team? Yeah, give us the thunder.
You know, there's no way they're gonna be able to handle him.
There's no way that I handled the Lakers, but with that being said, the Lakers were sitting there at the hotel.
They're feeder kicked up right now, watching both these teams battle it out in a seven game series just like just keep getting more tired.
You keep just duking it out.
So I think right now the Lakers air in a good spot because of the rest.
The fact that this Siri's went long, that's very emotional.
This Siri's is very emotional with all of that, you know, beef and all of the past moves between the two teams.
I really feel like there's gonna be two months left on the table and this Siri's to compete seven games with the Lakers that I think the Rockets, if they make it their they can shoot lights out or they're gonna shoot themselves out of the arena.
So I think they're gonna shoot themselves into a victory or two.
They'll take it to six, probably, but the Lakers air just the far superior team, especially with Anthony Davis.
Like good luck like putting P. J. Tucker.
And you know never on Anthony Davis first getting more confident about the Lakers defense because the Rockets has played in a style that nobody else name a place.
Just spread them all out and you'll take away.
No, they try to make you play their style.
You know, I'm not confident in the Lakers defense as a whole.
I wouldn't say I'm not confident because they definitely have shown that they have the skill to compete defensively in vocal is a really good defensive coach but losing Avery Bradley's way there than people expected.
Caruso is one of the best defenders in the league, and he does not get talked about.
Look at his defensive efficiency.
Go around the numbers.
Go run the ****ytics, go do everything you need to do the guys putting in work defensively on the no.
You blame bleacher report for that.
All right? And all the shows, his dunks all right there about the dunks.
I don't care if he put up three points a game and play defense the way he did, that's enough when they're playing with stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis and certain spot up shooters.
So I'm looking for that end of the ball and FBI gave it.
Should have one defensive player of the year, so absolutely, the defense has its areas of strength.
With that being said, the Rockets are very unorthodox.
They shoot the ball like crazy.
They run a fast paced style, but the Lakers could run fast paced, too.
So I really think they'll sack up.
They'll figure it out.
LeBron will take the, you know, matchup with James Hardin for most of the time, I believe, because he's just gonna want to do that.
And then they see guys like Caruso and different guys switching on to Russell Westbrook and different guys like that.
I think again the Rockets present a weird matchup for anybody but the thunder.
I think that's money in the bank.
If they play the Lakers, I think it's Lakers and five.
Yeah, there you go.
Um, and you know, I hate that I can't disagree with all of that.
You know, Lakers makers are like everything.
Like really started farming place.
I mean, if they get past the clippers, then, uh, yeah.
I mean, because the east is eating itself right now, so, you know, way thought the East was gonna be the bucks, But the guy, just that particular time the Celtics are gonna, you know, take the Raptors, you know, at least, uh, maybe a street, but five or six.
I mean, so who knows its basketball? I think that's the beautiful thing about the bubble.
I was expecting there to be Maybe elapsing gameplay, whatever may have been.
But I think that it's exciting.
There still a good atmosphere.
We're still seeing great gameplay.
And I think some of the first the trend was Oh, they're just going to score so much because without without the crowd and then it was Oh, no, Maybe without the crowd noise, that's better defensive game.
And then it flipped again.
And then you see a game like the last one with the Jazz and the Nuggets, where it was more of a defensive battle.
So I don't even think there's trends you can pull from the bubble.
It's just any given day.
These teams go out there depending on how they slept in the hotel that night, with the kind of, you know, those kind of moves.
There's really no other factors.
It's just who goes out and is feeling better that day.
I think that's really it. It's interesting.
Yeah, Yeah, I agree.
Uh uh uh, you know, the bubble has been really great for them.
I mean, you know, this is probably too far ahead, but, you know, probably never happen again because some of the players in stamping away from their families for that long and and baseball and baseball, football or looking like they're doing it pretty well right now, you know, we're keeping there, you know, test numbers lower or so for all but the season has actually started.
They had a couple of clips, but you know that they've done all right the season not cancelled yet, So I mean, I think that was a 50 50 shot.
So you're right, right? Yeah, Well, we'll see what happens when Ah, MBA restarts whenever.
Probably 2021 right now, because, uh, you know, hopefully we get through this fall man, that that's that.
I mean, we just got to stay strong, obviously.
But I'm really excited that we at least got bubble basketball to talk about.
You know? That's all we got for you guys today.
