between the Jazz and the Nuggets.
Really, from Game four on have said this in a couple streams now, but it was just miraculously like it was absolutely miraculous.
Every single word you could use to describe something that makes you feel great inside.
That's how that's how I would describe this jazz Nuggets finale.
So let me start by saying this.
Um, it definitely felt like that game itself.
I mean, the Game seven between the Jazz and Nuggets, and I'm just gonna get straight into this right now.
It felt like a Game seven.
We've seen a lot of Game seven in the past.
Um, you know, just kind of move slow teams.
They're sort of stuck in the mud offensively, guys air, nervous guys or fatigued.
They've played, what, seven games in 14 days? I mean, they're time.
They're very tired, and it's been a really gruelling back and forth serious.
So, you know, these guys come into this game a lot of heavy legs.
Um, Jamal Murray was was solid, sort of.
He came out hot, and then he started missing some shots.
Um, you know, and the jazz.
I mean, they were missing a ton of open threes.
Royce O Neill was really all over the place and just couldn't find anything that game.
So, um, you know, you run into a position where a man like people point out Game seven of the 2016 n.
A Finals is one of the better game sevens ever.
You look at that game before LeBron's block and before Kyrie is three.
And it was actually a pretty ugly game.
I mean, that game itself really was like one of those situations where neither team could buy a bucket.
And it's, you know, it's a lot of back and forth, a lot of mysteries, guys settling.
So, um, you know, I just in general, it really did feel like a Game seven yesterday.
Let's start off with a couple of the storylines.
God, Evan Mitchell was was good again and just kind of showed that he's got a real go to ability.
The way he splits defenders is just so explosive.
And, you know, like every game of this series dead, you know, Denver didn't have a solution for him.
They don't didn't have anything to throw at him, so he was just absolutely wonderful out there.
Rudy Go Bear was really nice in the second half.
Kind of limited Nicola Yokich in the post as he's been doing all Siri's, but really, really kept things strong from the inside out, which was important because both of these teams were missing every single three they took.
So he was just, you know, doing his job and doing a great job with it and scoring on the other end.
You know, not necessarily the best hands in the league.
I would say with Rudy go bare, but, you know, he was catching passes.
He was catching lobs.
Andi just cleaning it up and doing the little things for the jazz.
Um, you have I mean, a couple, as I think, deserves some praise for for the Nuggets.
And one of them is gonna be Yokich who I thought his control of the game down the stretch.
I just I was impressed.
He obviously had that weird fall away shot and then, like, well, the spinning like hook shot, which was just like, where did that come from? He's such a strange player to watch and that you have no idea, really what's gonna come next from him, but miraculously, he makes these shots that look horrible.
So, um, so he had a nice shot of the end, and then Gary Harris was just wonderful, like just absolutely wonderful in in in really key moments.
I mean, he had that little poke away on.
I think it was Donovan Mitchell who then laid on the floor and didn't get back on defense and actually may have lost himself the opportunity to get the last shot of the Siri's.
But Gary Harris started all of that.
I know they didn't make the shot on the other end, but a big play by him and a testament to how important he's gonna be for the Nuggets going forward against this Clippers juggernaut.
So I overall wonderful Siri's.
I don't mean I don't really have any thoughts on this A.
Just like in terms of the Siri's itself.
Uh, you know, it's only fitting that this went down to the very end in the last shot of the Siris was a three that went in and out because I'll say these teams were really, really even there really, really even, And I think if you played five more games, we'd probably have a last second shot.
Um, between both of these teams, you are or between these guys to close it out.
I guess he added five more.
You'd be looking at an even number.
But my my point remains.
Essentially, this is a great Siri's, the best one of the first round, one of the best Siri's I can remember in quite some time.
So definitely a a one to remember.
And unfortunately, I think what we're going to get next is not gonna be such, um, fun.
Watch the Clippers Nuggets is right now I have the Clippers winning in five.
Um, I don't know.
I was trying to think about matchups yesterday.
I think you put Gary Harris on Paul George and you just say, Hey, play really physical with him and just try to poke the ball away from him.
He's a really good ball handler, and he could shoot over Gary hair, so maybe they have to put like a Tory Craig on him.
But I think you need to save Torrey Craig and Jeremy Grant for Kawai.
And I guess some possessions between Paul Millsap is well.
But I'm a little worried for the Nuggets.
I just don't think they have the perimeter Defender horses to really make this a strong Siri's.
And, you know, I think they have better weapons for Kwai than then the Jazz because the Jazz would just be throwing Royce O Neill, I guess, and I don't even know who after that.
I don't think that they can get away with that, obviously.
So I think the right team advanced in terms of making it a Siri's between the Clippers and the and whoever the next competitors gonna be.
I think the Nuggets will probably give them a better fight.
But even so, I just still look at this and I'm like, I just really don't know.
I really don't know what what the The Nuggets conduce to slow down Kawai.
I just think he's gonna be faster than Paul Millsap.
I think he's stronger than Tory Craig.
He's definitely stronger than Jeremy Grant.
So you're kind of in a position where you're throwing a bunch of guys that can sort of slow him down hypothetically.
But I just don't really see that happening and then, of course, you've got a secondary offensive player in Paul George.
I haven't even mentioned Lou Williams.
Who? I guess they're gonna What are they going to do with them? They're gonna put Jamal Murray on him.
I mean, they're gonna run a pick and roll between.
I guess Mantra is Harrell and Lou Williams and they're gonna shed Jamal Murray.
I think pretty quickly I mean, the Williamses, a guy that's got every finishing the book, he's quick, He's Ah, he's shifty.
I just see that being a tough matchup for Jamal Murray, who, by the way, is going to carry the load on the other side.
I mean, there's a ton of pressure on Jamal Murray right now.
Did you really great things on the other end.
I think the only advantage right now that they have is Nicola Yokich at the moment.
And even that I'm like, Look, if if Doc does this correctly and I think they finally kind of realized that Zuba just way more important than Mantra zero in the playoffs, he just is.
He is, He's taller, He's bigger, He moves.
I I honestly think he's moved better defensively.
We know what you're getting from Trez hero on offense.
That's why he's a six.
Man, he's off the bench.
Um, you know, he is that kind of instant spark, you know, not necessarily the traditional instant spark that we usually see from, like, a backup point guard or something like that.
He's an instant spark plug type of guy, and they're running him as the backup center.
But when it comes down and defending a top notch center like Nicola Yokich, I think what you do is you do the exact same thing that they did last Siri's with zoo botch and have him show high and just sort of try to make Nicole Yokich take you off the dribble.
Yogurts could do it, by the way.
I mean, the one thing I will give Yokich is that he doesn't have to worry about this size disadvantage that he saw against Rudy Gobert, who I thought was excellent at running him off the line.
And still, you know, essentially staying stride for stride with him in contesting.
Is that rim shots? This is a different situation, obviously.
So much is is just and to be frank, shorter.
But I thought he's moved really well in terms of his what's known as a show where you go up to the pick and roll, You actually stay level with the screen and you try to slow down the ball handler and then you're gonna recover all the way back to the rim.
I think zoo watch has been really good at that.
That's something you can watch for in a lot of these games.
I guarantee you they're gonna deploy him that way.
But yeah, overall, I That's kind of where I'm at right now.
I just Oh, man, you're gonna need a lot from Michael Porter Jr and just a lot from secondary scoring, because at the moment, man, this Clippers team is probably the best offensive team in the bubble.
Right now, I just and I don't even know if it's always fun to watch.
They just have so many weapons to throw at you.
Um, and because of that, because they have so many weapons and just things that they can throw it you.
Denver has not been a good defensive team, even though they sharp, you know, they kind of tighten it up a little bit in these last couple of games against the Jazz.
This is a completely different juggernaut they're going against.
And I'm worried.
I mean, look, you know, might not be the best syriza I've been wrong before on this stuff.
Ah, I thought the Clippers, We're gonna take care of the Mavericks pretty quickly.
I also didn't foresee Luca Dontre taking an elite into like a top five player over the break since we last saw basketball.
So, um yeah, I think the drop up between Lucca and Jamal Murray is significant, and I just I think this is gonna be pretty easy for the Clippers, and you even see some of the clips coming out today of Kawai.
They just they're gonna take care of business.
They're not a flashy, fun team, that's all about the who, Ron, You know, all that stuff.
Um, they just kind of take care of business.
Yeah, they have some outspoken characters and Marcus Morris and Trez Harrell as well.
But, um, you know, in terms of their top two guys, especially their top guy in Kawai, just business as usual.
And I expect that to be how this Siri's goes.
But anyways, let me know what you guys thought of this.
Siri's let me know what you think of the Clippers? Nuggets? Um and and maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe this is gonna go more than five, but I'm just curious to hear other opinions.
