Big played a alongside the coach.
Our new audio guy, Chris MacNeil.
What's going on? My man? Victory Monday.
Nice with that, right? Right.
We got sounds company all day long, folks.
What is up, brother? We are seven and three.
Seven and three for the first time in a long time.
We're gonna in for a good one tonight, my friend.
First time in your life, right? Oh, for sure.
No question about it.
Oh, yeah. No kidding.
All right, we've got a great show for you guys.
What's going on? What's going on in the comments? So we got already, Please.
No gum tonight from Jared, Kev says Brown's town John's pumped for victory Monday.
What's up to the regulars in their appreciate you guys is always eso tonight on the show power rank Monday.
Favorite things about Thanksgiving, Turkey day pump to talk a little turkey day.
Uh, then we'll get into our featured interview with Browns reporter Jake Trotter, one of the best out there from ESPN.
Pick his brain on ah, bunch of different topics with our brownies on.
Then we'll get into this week's Cleveland headlines.
Brown's improved to seven and three.
That is not a typo.
Thank you, Nick Myles Garrett out again, which is? Ah, protocol.
Put it up to 2020.
Uh, calves draft Isaka, Kuro.
We're gonna probably lean on Nick for this one.
E think he'll be all right.
Yeah, And then we'll get into a big place of the week presented by my bookie.
Brown's Jags will look a tsum prop.
Bets for that and then give you are bold predictions for the week.
But let's kick it off with some power rank Monday.
Cool power rank Monday.
Yeah, we got a rare Facebook comment.
It's my wife was like, She doesn't watch this show.
I'm sure she already left power egg.
Monday e was like, First of all, we never get any Facebook comments.
No one watches on Facebook.
And then I was like, Oh, that must be like my grandma.
Now it's my wife.
Grandma with your wife? That's no ramifications there, I'm sure. Alright.
It is officially Thanksgiving week.
So we are going to power rank the best things about Thanksgiving.
I will kick it off with my number three.
And gentlemen, I am going with the beach.
This year after this show, we are off like a good Ohio boy to Hilton Head, Ohio, like everyone from Ohio.
Oh, Dave, Dave, we've got a caller here.
Oh, do we now? Yeah, Yeah.
Mike DeWine is calling in right now.
He wants going on this trip.
Go ahead and bring him through days going, Going just on the down low.
I think we just keep him on hold.
Hanging recipes for us from from France.
I thought you had a sound clip.
No, that would have been nice.
Yeah, I really should have prepared for this.
And I thought you did.
And then I was like, Oh, wait. Now Tokyo.
I'll get some Mike DeWine for next week There.
We dio Yeah, heading down the Hilton head, Uh, shortly after the show going to go Take in some turkey and stuffing in the 70 mid seventies weather.
And here's Mike DeWine.
My parents are very, very corona down there.
Yeah, they're they're very scared of it.
So we took tests were quarantined before relieving.
So we're good to g o.
But what time Given what time should I be over with my suitcase again, Right.
I'm just gonna be pulling out with the white minivan.
Padan at the end of my driveway, My kids were like, Who is this guy? Oh, that's that's my co host, Nick.
He's coming with us.
Probably not next time, Nick.
Next time. All right.
Uh, my number two sides and extra gravy love the sides.
Yeah. Broccoli and cheddar casserole.
That's not number one.
No, it's not. Number one.
What's the best one of the best one.
Mashed potatoes and gravy and then stuffing is a close second.
Stuffing It depends on how it's done.
Could make nothing.
Elite. That's my whole contention.
Stuffing could be elite that, like oysters in there.
I mean, that's good stuff. Some sausage.
Yeah, My mom makes like a carrizo stuffing super good super good elite stuffing right there and you could tell a lot about a family by their stuffing.
I've got a great family.
My my number one defensive now, after talking with his wife, my number one.
Hopefully, my wife isn't watching anymore drinking and Xmas sale after a bunch of bud lights and eating food all day and passing out on the couch watching good old football games do that, you'll wake up Monday.
Nothing better than that.
You have a Christmas sale and all that trip defend.
Oh, man, you ain't waking up for a while.
You're gonna be Oh, that's all right. I'll be on the beach.
I'll just pass out on the beach.
We got Chris Top three.
What ball? Come on, The great American pastime Football on Thanksgiving.
There is nothing that goes better.
And, uh, apparently the NFL, though I mean the first two games or just crap.
Did you see the first two games? I mean, there's nothing there that I wanna watch, but that's that's kind of typical, right? It'll well, you got the lines.
So I mean, what do you do with the lines? Every year you got Dallas who thinks there's something, and by this time they're usually nothing.
So when that division Chris, they win it right off the bat with those two games and has for about 20 years.
But the late game, of course.
You got the Ravens Steelers, potentially depending upon how the cove it goes.
Of course, because that may derail some plans.
But, uh, there's a code of music Colvin Music.
Gotta watch the cove and they're gonna get the Ravens.
Yeah, that's okay, We're in second place.
Keep getting the Ravens.
So that's That's my number.
Three, though, is football my number two.
I'm with you, Dave.
Obviously, I put just the general Let's not overthink it.
Just overall the food.
I'll give me turkey.
Give me all of the sides.
I'll take them all.
What's what's your favorite side? Uh, stuffing Stuffing.
Elite stuffing is great.
Is that Is that a grand e? I go pumpkin pie first and then I'll usually go back in rotation of of the pies.
I'll have multiple pieces of pie if I do it right, but you have to make sure you don't overload early that you have to watch.
Don't peak earlier Thanksgiving, cause you peak early, then you're not there for the optimum pie time later on.
So you drinking the Christmas sale? After all that trip? Defend your gone.
I passed out before dessert.
You're passed out and I'm there with, like, three pieces of pumpkin pie.
Just loving life.
My number. One thing about Thanksgiving.
The Browns Air seven and three.
Who cares about right? Who cares? Who cares? Were seven and three talking to, You know, less than 10 other people that are in the room with you for Thanksgiving and just talking about how great our Brown's out there.
Seven and three were second in the division.
Well, Chris, we'll get into, like, the how wild that is. Later.
It's pretty wild.
What he got? Alrighty.
So here it comes, because I'm gonna get ripped apart both by you guys and in the comments.
I'm not that big of a Thanksgiving guy.
What? What? Yeah, I don't know.
And maybe I could hear me out.
So on Thanksgiving, you know, we eat, you know, celebrate the pilgrim's and eat turkey and stuffing.
Why don't we just do the Pilgrim's.
We're celebrating the Pilgrim's kids.
Why don't we just do a 2nd 4th of July and have, like burgers and ribs and steaks, Cam and ideo like Chinese food either the day before the day after Thanksgiving? Like why is it gonna be turkey? Why is it gonna be like dry turkey? Dry stuffing You have to down the mashed potatoes and gravy do like gravy.
Yeah, See, I'm kind of picky.
My dad makes a really good bacon covered turkey every year.
So that's that's one thing that I have to look forward to.
So okay, let's get into my very sad list before you get into the sad list.
We've got polarizing comments in the comments section because we've got camp saying Thanksgiving is disgusting, that that that there you go, chemistry level 100% and then I've got Jared out there saying, Kick him off the show, Who both ends of the spectrum both ends of the spectrum.
We've already gotten a couple of messages to some people, pretty upset about your Thanksgiving take.
Let's go here to, uh oh, man.
Rizzo seems pretty upset about it. Wow.
He is really fired up about your Thanksgiving takes.
I think you'd be okay.
Because I'd rather have a Mabel steak.
Okay, My number three.
Because I will fight you.
I'm gonna go with the Bahamas.
The one year I really like Thanksgiving.
I was on the beach in Nassau, the Bahamas.
There's a really beautiful Thanksgiving on a cruise boat.
My dad actually one.
So it was a lot.
It was a really cool trip.
Celebrate Thanksgiving in a definitely a different way.
Did you eat turkey on the cruise ship? Oh, yeah.
Turkey on the cruise ship, along with many other things.
Endless ice cream cones to It's the best.
Yeah, it was honestly sickening.
Like my brother.
And I joke about that all the time.
Like, you know, how bad and I see we do have a comment.
Bacon covered turkey.
Give it a try. It's all of the hype.
All right, Number two doing maybe.
Maybe another reason.
I'm not the biggest fan off this holiday football, but with the sound off.
I have a very interesting individual in my family that refuses to listen to sports commentators So we have to listen to the TV on mute.
And I know that's something that a lot of people e no, that's like people dio.
But we have to just, like, sit around the TV like kind of in silence and just watch the game and think about it because this one person in my family refuses to listen to this.
Is this specific to Thanksgiving or just in general? This is in general.
So, like, you know how when the Cavs would play on Easter and Christmas Day.
Games like this is, Yeah, this is I had a I had the same thing, actually, Thanksgiving.
My father in law used to do the same thing, and really, and I divorced his daughter.
You think I turned it all the way up on Thanksgiving? I don't even care.
So that is really a deal breaker.
Eyes, That was, it was giving.
I got to be able to listen to commentators on this Detroit Lions game.
Wow, it's just awkward, like it's so awkward watching sports with no like commentators at all.
Like I'm not sitting there hanging on Joe Bucks every last word, but it just makes for how you're used to watching it, so it's really insane.
All right, Number one, the best part about Thanksgiving is you're 29 days away from Christmas, which means 34 days away from my birthday to really holidays that are worth celebrating.
I asked, kiss his ass.
You would figure out a way to get your birthday in there.
Well done. Thank you.
All right. And that is power rank Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and gals out there cooking on.
Now we're going to get into our featured interview and talk some brownies.
Um, seven and three.
Brown's with the one and only Jake Trotter.
Let's bring him on in.
We will be back in 30 seconds or so, people.
Okay? Back already on the line.
We've got E s P N's NFL Nation team reporter for our Cleveland Browns Theory one and only.
Jake, Welcome to the big play Reef Logs show, my friend.
How are you? What's going on? Fellas were seven and three, seven and three, and I attribute almost all of that to you.
Jake, I think I have a Let me add this in my head.
I'm 500 in the city of Cleveland because what? Six and 10 last year? Four games above 500 this year.
So I don't think that's too bad.
And a lot of winnable games left on the schedule for me here.
You are part of the winning culture. Congratulations.
So we oh, don't lose to the Jazz.
So God, no, not many people dio So it's been a weird 2020 to say the least. Hope.
Hope you in the family.
What? What's it been like to cover a team in the NFL in just such a such a weird year? A lot of these I can't even count how many zoom calls I've been on this year.
I mean, it's gotta be hundreds A.
To this point, um, it's it's definitely challenging.
You feel a little bit disconnected more than you want to be with somebody you know who wants to cover the team for you. You know, for the fans.
Um, but, you know, everybody is making an adjustment this year and trying to get his much information, you know, on zoom calls and other means is the job.
So, you know, I've got used to it.
Um, it's not as fun as it.
It was last year in terms of doing the job, but that's all right.
Zef really fun to cover a team that eyes playing well in winning games, that's for sure.
And you've got your rap a poor slash Schefter bookshelf in the background.
Kudos to you, sir.
Yeah, working on it.
That's my That's my home Studio TV set up there.
So I actually got made fun of, like, my earlier days was like, five years ago.
Six years ago, I did a SportsCenter hit.
When I before I moved to Cleveland and I had, like, a weird I didn't put a lot of attention into it, and it just wasn't a great set up, and I can't even remember why I got made fun of it.
But I like it was busted coverage or something like that.
It's not fun to wake up or get off a plane on Saturday like you're all over the Internet.
Get made fun of that.
What you have back then? I've actually really, uh, put time into making sure that I have Ah, ah, bookshelf that that is not gonna get made fun of.
What did you have in the background? Do you remember? I'm trying to remember.
I think it was like I had some kind of, like, background for Jake.
Yeah, it was It was like a chalice.
Or like an urn of some kind s.
So it was It was got something that I don't know how we ended up with, but it was on, like one of those decorative you know, shelves that your wife puts together in a, uh, in a living room and e think very quickly.
I was just throwing.
I didn't have anything to put on there, so I was just like, What can I throw in here? So it's not just a yellow background way moved in this house.
The ba*****t originally was mus**** yellow, and I think the urn or the cop or whatever it was, was I mean, the whole thing was a disaster.
But, um, I think I think that got circled or focused on.
I think they I think that the term they use was, uh, you know, live from my live from his his mom's ba*****t or Grandma's ba*****t or something nice.
Like my ba*****t.
It looks like a grandma.
You've made it. Congratulations.
One other question about covering this team I had for you.
The past three weeks have been just atrocious weather wise in such a weird here.
Are you Are you traveling with the team? Like, are you going down to Jacksonville? Are you covering it remotely? And then for the games here, How How has that been watching? Watching the team, given this this just nasty, nasty weather we've had.
Yes, I just three with Yeah, I disagreed with Baker.
I thought the Raider game was worse, but I also wasn't outside for the national anthem.
Um, in the Texans game.
So I don't I don't know if any of you guys were at that either one of those games, but it was like watching a scene out of sharp NATO from where I waas natural anthem.
It was your starting to get kind of worried because, you know, the national anthem is actually kind of a long, um, you know, a long rendition.
And it was like, five seconds in, you know, the hammer came down and I mean, it almost felt like people were gonna blow away.
Their ponchos certainly were, um, so that was that part was crazy.
But, man, the Raider game, it was like, you know, it was freezing.
And the wind was just right in your face.
I mean, it was 40.
You know, I'm from Oklahoma, so I've seen some windy days, and that was like a legit 40 mile per hour wind.
And it's so funny.
You see, people, you know, Baker the passing game, like I mean, you were not throwing the ball, uh, in that in that game.
And quite frankly, really, The last two games, either.
So the Browns air seven and three right now, as you well know, for the first time in forever, what makes this team so different from the last couple of seasons? Do you think Kevin Stefanski makes that big of a difference here in the locker room and the strategic re and everything that he's doing or already did? A tribute to more than just just a change of head coach.
Yeah, Chris, I mean, I think there are a lot of factors that go into it.
I mean, we kind of made fun of it back in January, February.
You know, the has limbs and other people using this word alignment over and over again, let the buzzword.
But, I mean, it actually was an appropriate word because they were not in alignment last year across the board.
And, you know, this predates me, but I think have not been in alignment, you know, really much it all going back to 99 you know, with different owners and different general managers and head coaches and coaching staffs and quarterbacks.
And, um, you know, just to turn over at every level has been constant.
So I mean, I think they were very smart about what they did this offseason.
You know, getting a coach and a general manager that that we're on the same page with DePodesta with ownership.
Um, you know, last year was almost like they had to independent front offices.
Um, that weren't working together.
Yet your ****ytics swing on.
You had your scouting wing under Dorsey, and it was like they were two different entities, but yet the same front office.
So, um, they got that right.
You know, everybody's on the same page on Ben.
They had a plan this offseason.
Which waas? Okay, we got a better support.
We have got to improve the offensive line, and they addressed it in free agency with Jack Conklin.
Andi? Then in the draft with Jed, Rick Wills.
They went out and signed, uh, the best tight in in free agency in Austin.
And you know, really, Baker has always thrived when he's had a reliable, um, you know, tight end.
I think that you're going to see more Austin Coopers.
We go forward in the passing game.
Um, it's been kind of hard these last three weeks because of the weather, but, you know, having that, you know, safety blanket over the middle of the field, I think is gonna be huge for this offense down the stretch.
And even even so far, you know, Hooper's made some key catches for them.
And so, you know, they had a plan about what they wanted to dio.
And then, you know, they found the offense that really complemented some of their pieces.
Um, you know, starting with the running game on then baker Mayfield in play action.
So, you know, on down the list, everything that they have done has made sense.
And, you know, I know at times last year, in a week to week you didn't really know what kind of often say we're gonna run or they're gonna be five wide.
Are they gonna be Understand? Er, you know, try to run the ball this week, and they're gonna try to pass it.
We know what the Browns gonna do every Sunday.
They have a offensive identity that's been in place from the beginning, and it's weathered some injuries.
And, you know, the defense is a little bit underwhelming, but they've got a star cornerstone in Myles Garrett and another one to a lesser degree and didn't award.
And, you know, they've had some guys step up, including Sunday with, you know, Olivier Vernon and and talking.
I mean, he's not even though he was a first round draft pick, I would not put him in the young cornerstone conversation anymore.
So let's talk about one of those young cornerstones, you know.
I know you're from Oklahoma.
Covered Baker a little bit throughout his college days.
now up here with him in Cleveland.
Ah, lot of people are down and out about Baker in Cleveland, especially, you know, a couple of years ago how how quickly we changed.
We were really riding high with number six, and it was live or die with Baker.
Where do you fall in all of that? And what have you seen out of Baker and his future in Cleveland? Yeah.
I mean, this year, he's improved.
He's better than he was last season.
I think part of that is him, Um, you know, putting in the work in the offseason.
Uh, I think part of it is the Browns, you know, giving him a better offensive line, putting him in an offense that gives him a better chance to succeed.
I mean, he's been up and down this year.
He's that's, um, really low moments.
He's had some unbelievable moments.
I mean, the second half against Cincinnati.
Um, you know, it was incredible, and I know it was the Bengals, but, uh, you know, you complete that that many passes the row in the NFL against anybody. It's impressive.
It's really tough to evaluate, you know, we're just talking about the weather.
I mean, um, it's hard to evaluated either way, just based on the conditions that he's played in the last three games.
So I'm really curious to see how he plays against Jacksonville.
I think he'll play Well, um, you know, Tennessee is gonna be another interesting game, By the way.
It feels like the Browns have, like, no home games left.
You know, it Z, Monday night football and then not another one until January.
Um, so I think we're gonna find out.
I mean, I think the jury is still out, I think I think, um, this could be a big stretch for him.
Uh, you know, he could be there, you know, franchise quarterback of the future.
Or, you know, it might not go that well here down the stretch, but I think that, um, Baker is a real opportunity, and I'm interested to see what he does with it.
And I think he's looking forward Thio showing what he can dio not to say, showing what he could do without Odell Beckham.
But I believe that without Odell, um you know, Baker is just gonna run the offense, go through his progression, and I think, you know, we could argue whether the Browns will be better off, But I do think that Baker is gonna be a more efficient quarterback.
You know, without Odell in his head, which I you know, this is my opinion.
I'm just speculating.
But I think you know, that is, uh, messed with him at times and in his rhythm and is confident and just kind of doing what he should be doing on the field, which is just playing ball.
Yeah, definitely looking forward to seeing Baker and some 75 Sunny on Sunday.
Um, you torture me every week, Jake, with your weekly ESPN FBI playoff percentage chances.
Knowing what you know.
Now, though, about this Brown's team that we have now won without Myles Garrett, we've won without Nick Chubb.
Does this kind of have the feel of a team that if they just get in as a wild card, could make some magic happen? Kind of like the Jags a couple years back when they crack that a f C championship game, I mean, you get the playoffs, anything can happen, and it's a weird year.
I mean, who knows what might happen in the playoffs, you might open with, you know, Kansas City.
And all of a sudden, you know, they have an issue, you know, with the virus.
I mean, like, anything is possible, uh, in particular this season.
And I mean, I think they have an excellent chance to get there.
You know, they could go 10 and six with just one victory over a team with that's over 500 that finishes over 500 which would be incredible to be the Colts.
Um, so I mean, I think it would be a huge disappointment if they didn't get their, um, you know, it's hard to.
It's hard to call it a 10 and six season in Cleveland of disappointment, but if they don't get to the playoffs, just given where they are, given the schedule that they've had the benefit of plane.
Um, and just given how well they played at times that they don't get in the playoffs, I think that would be really disappointing.
And they're probably gonna have to go 10 and six, because the Colts are on fire right now.
You know, I think Tennessee they've shown they're gonna bounce back.
I don't believe that you know, Baltimore is done by any means, and you've got the Raiders who are playing good balls.
Well, so, um, you know, you could you could be 10 and six and be the 18.
So I mean it Be crazy to think about it, Uh, that you go 10 and six, and in a year, they expand the playoffs that you would miss.
But that's just the way.
It's kind of shaking out where you have eight, maybe nine teams.
If you count the Dolphins that you could be right there with nine or 797 or 10 and six records on D still be on the outside looking in.
So the Browns have gotta win the games that they should win.
I mean, listen, if you don't be Jacksonville, you don't get the Giants and you'll be the Jets.
Um, you probably don't deserve to go the playoffs, so you know it's gonna be on them thio to deliver against teams that they're just way better than and they should be.
Is Andrew Sendejo really that bad? Or is it just opportunist trolls like me? Do you think we're being unfair to him? Well, I mean he's had a rough season, you know, They work not counting to him to be a starter.
They were count on Grant, help it to be a starter.
So I mean, it's hard to really.
It's hard to fault the Browns for the way things have kind of fallen its safety because it's not what they were planning.
I mean, if they thought grant up, it was gonna be starved for them.
I mean, um, you know, talking to people in the building, you know, going into, you know, free agency, it really felt like they were gonna wait to the draft to really address safety.
And clearly it needed to be addressed after last season. And you saw them.
Kind of makes some moves on the margins with Sandy Who with, you know, with Carl Joseph.
Um, but they're they're big addition was was delp it? And, you know, that's a guy that could have been, you know, a top 10 pick if he, you know, did you know did have some problems tackling due to the injury his last year.
L s U So, um, you know it's a problem for this year, and it kind of might be a problem long term because we don't know what kind of shape dealt that is gonna be in coming off the Achilles injury next year.
S o you know, they've tried to patch it together.
You know that the Harrison trade, you know, red wines got some or run there.
It's just not a position of strength right now.
It's not just Cindy who, um so they're just gonna have to do the best they can.
And you know, they did okay on Sunday.
You know, they didn't, um, you know, they made some plays and it didn't get beat too badly, except for the, you know, the one Carson Wentz touchdown, which I think went over the head of red wine.
But, you know, everybody's got an Achilles heel.
That's that's Cleveland's, and you know, it's sometimes that's what happens in the NFL.
You just have a key injury, and it's hard to overcome.
Speaking of that secondary guy who played pretty well yesterday, Denzel Ward heard he may have been a little bit banged up after the game.
Do you have any kind of an update for us? Yeah, he's getting He got a memory today.
You know, we'll probably know more tomorrow.
You know, it's kind of strange that it's not something that anybody noticed really? After the game.
I mean, he did a zoom call, uh, postgame zoom call after the game yesterday.
So you know, we'll have to wait and see.
I mean, you have You would think that.
Okay, we're playing Jacksonville.
You know, you think maybe you can if it's close, you can get by without him.
It's it's been a You know, the greedy thing has been a killer, too, because, I mean, you know, and I get asked about him every day, Like, I'm just sort of counting on him not playing this year at this point, I don't know.
Um, other people feel the same way.
But, I mean, he just very first tackling drill in training camp on he was out and hasn't been seen since.
And I just don't think you can count on him at this point.
So, um, but if if Denzel, you know is it kind of feels like this is not gonna be too serious.
You would think that that you know, he might be all right, But if you have to rest him a week.
But, man, you know what dens awarded Myles Garrett? It's You know, I opposed the question in the Cincinnati game.
I think it was like, where would this defense be without those two guys? We might We might find out we might have to talk about the hard way.
No, no, I can't let you leave on that.
It's a short term basis because, you know, Miles is coming back here.
Um, you know, eventually, but yeah.
So what is the update on Myles Garrett? What can you tell us? Yeah, so the you know he's had symptoms? Um, he if you if you If you test positive, it is a 10 day window from the moment you report symptoms.
Um, before you can rejoin the team.
So that would kind of put him borderline for the game.
Just from a procedural standpoint, You know, Saturday, um, if you also have to, uh, within that window, um, three days with the team.
You know, we're not with the team, but with, uh, you know, doing doing conditioning and exercising, making sure you're okay.
So, you know, he's showing symptoms so that, you know, he might It's too fancy.
Didn't really give anything specific update on how he's feeling.
But, um, you know, he was showing symptoms last week, So, um, you know, it might take some time for him toe bounce back.
And, um, yeah, he's a guy that they're gonna need, obviously, uh, to have any chance.
So, um, you know, the hope is that he would be able to come off the list.
Next, we go through the three day conditioning without any hitch and and be ready to go for that Tennessee game.
Jake, before we get you out of here, we had a live question come in here asking about Baker's press conferences with the rap lyrics they want to know.
Did you catch on during those? Did you did you over the weeks pick those up? And what is Baker going to do because he's been playing, you know, pretty average, maybe a little above average.
What's he going to dio in these practice conferences when he's playing lights out? Well, I mean, I've seen I've seen Baker.
Uh, I've seen I've seen ****y Baker in the press conference, went feeling dangerous.
Um, I s so I caught the Wu Tang one for sure.
Like I knew it instantly.
Um, or was it what was the d m x? I can't remember DMX.
I think it's DMX.
DMX? Yeah, I got the d m X one.
Uh, right after that.
I knew he was quoting a rap lor yesterday, but I couldn't quite, Um, he said together, even though that's my rap wheelhouse, like late nineties or early 2000 were on the same boat.
Yeah s Oh, yeah.
I mean, I I knew he was quoting something, but, you know, sometimes in the zoom calls, you're kind of like after, like, 10 minutes.
You're sort of like, you know, you're not really like that locked in.
So I don't think I caught the beginning of whatever he was saying.
So I was I was off my game there, but I'm gonna be I'm gonna now.
But it's definitely a trend.
I'll be ready to g o after the Jacksonville game to really now down.
What? He's what he's referencing now.
Could you maybe go in there with a rap lyric of your own in a question? Throw him off his game.
Yeah, that's a good idea. I might.
That's not a horrible idea, e.
I'm like I might I might do that.
Timing has got to be right.
But I might I might You know what sucks about the zoom calls is you sort of lose the, you know, the It's hard to be kind of personal.
You get one question, you get muted out.
You can't really have a back and forth.
But I'll, you know, I'll see what I could do.
I got I got Baker to trash Oklahoma State, which they put on Game A last week.
So I'll see if I could get him, catch them off guard with a rap lyric.
Pretty soon for you guys.
Awesome stuff is always we greatly appreciate your time.
Keep up the awesome work.
We follow you on Twitter and you know all the articles I know Nick loves those as well.
So appreciate your time.
And what? We'll talk to you soon.
Thanks. Around you guys. Take care. Thanks.
The one and Onley.
Fantastic stuff from him.
We'll get into a few of the things he mentioned, but Let's get into Cleveland headlines and talk some more brownies.
Brown's one Browns beat the Eagles yesterday.
Feels like it was a week ago.
22 17 to improve to seven and three.
Chris, I was pretty close on my prediction.
By the way, what was your prediction? I don't remember.
Or 21 e I'm right there.
I'm right there.
That's not bad at all. Well done, sir.
We're gonna have toe.
Do you have any, uh, sound effects? Round of applause for yourself? I should I should.
Let's say here, I gotta get quicker with these.
Obviously, that's good.
Eso a lot of takeaways from yesterday, but what? We're not going to get in too much of it.
But what was the most encouraging thing for you from a take away from that game? Oh, it's got to be the way the defense kind of rallied around the fact that Miles wasn't there.
I mean, Olivier Vernon has been very quiet this season, and that's putting it nice.
He's been quiet since we got him from the Giants.
Let's be honest, we really expected a whole lot of that guy being on the opposite side for miles.
And, uh, with miles not there.
He really showed up in a big way, and we needed that.
I mean, that safety was huge.
Um, that was able to supply in a game.
That e mean, we knew it was gonna be anemic from the beginning.
You see, that weather assumes you wake up and you look at Cleveland and just the tarp on the field right up until game time.
You see what they're dealing with, You know, it's gonna be just one of those just slugfest type of ugly ball games that we've had now a few of.
And with him setting the tone on defense, that was really huge.
I think that that helped both sides of the ball and, you know, hat tip to Olivier Vernon for showing up.
Yeah, Nick, what was the biggest take away for you? Um, it's definitely the defense, too, but just toe be a differential invoice.
Something else that stood out to me was just opportunistic.
Baker, obviously the one that will look back to is the Miss throw toe Austin Hooper.
In the end zone like that was the one that really bit in the one that you'd like to have back problems.
I'm about the throw to get you to that point, you know, play action.
Rashard Higgins Right up the middle.
He had a couple nice throws to Darryl Hodge, who had his best game is a Brown.
I thought Baker played a better game in the rain than he had in his previous two.
And just just finding guys and, you know, going through progressions better.
It was definitely a little bit more refreshing it, Like I said, outside of the Miss throw to Hooper, that was That was a brutal, brutal miss throw.
But yeah, I'm with you.
He actually he's frustrating, man, because like, he shows that he could make all of the plays and he'll do it for, like, three or four passes and drive 95 yards and then, like completely within, like, two huge throws like basic basic throws.
And you know, that's something that I actually talked to about with Kurt Warner back a couple of years ago when I covered the Super Bowl.
That's a that's a name dropper.
It is a name drop But listen, it actually makes sense because it's an interesting story.
And I was like, This was No, this is This is right after I got him upset here day.
No, I'm not upset.
It's like I actually thought it was interesting because it was after Baker's rookie year, right? So we all thought he was gonna win the M V P the next season.
But Kurt kind of saw it coming, and he's like, Listen, Baker right now thinks that he's that dude and he could make every throw in his head, you know? Oh, I could just fit this ball here, fit this ball here.
How about just taking the easy throw and taking the easy dump off? That's something that Baker has been better at this year.
But last year, man, he never did that.
So definitely something that needs to be addressed.
Because Dave, like you, said that throw the Hooper in the back of the end zone that that's as easy as it gets.
And he had a couple masterful throws to get to that point.
Yeah, that is true.
So Chris last week and I was hanging out with Troy Aikman, Bernie a couple other people and we pay.
Was there, honey, I think that we're sitting at the same restaurant.
I was there with Joe Montana.
Yeah, it was a nice brunch.
You know, I kind of enjoyed ourselves, you know? Just talked a little ball.
I mean, that's what you doing that makes sense.
Then that makes it Isn't that a that a fair thing to bring up? Keep keep doing it.
Keep name dropping.
We're just making fun of you.
Where does make it funny? Um, Dan Marino stopped by.
It was good to see Dan again. 73.
Chris, He was selling his Isotoner gloves.
I already made some good buffalo chicken dip.
It's awesome for Thanksgiving, but you hate Thanksgiving.
Todo That is true.
That is true, Chris.
Seven and three doesn't feel riel.
So where do you Where do you come out on this? Because like you'll be on Twitter 47 and three year pro.
Seven and three. Yeah.
Are you sure? Yeah.
I wanna be very clear that I am for this.
It's much more than three and seven.
Yeah, but like you.
So you'll be on Twitter I'm sure you see the same thing.
Like people still *****ing about the Cleveland Browns, who are 73 even after the game.
Like what is wrong with these people? People have never seen the Browns anywhere close to seven and three are *****ing about a team that seven and three. Yeah.
I mean, in their lifetimes.
They haven't seen a team that this this quote unquote good, and they're still complaining about it.
That's that's social media right there.
I'll tell you this, though.
The Browns get to the playoffs.
My God, man, that would be just insane.
Just absolutely insane.
How How great would that be Just to end this? You know, 2020 With everything else going on, we end up with the playoffs at the end.
Don't talk about playoffs.
You kidding? May playoffs.
Yeah, we're talking so we can win a game with this week.
Remember how toxic Twitter would be during like a Cavs first round game versus the Detroit Pistons were poor.
Imagine of Brown's wild card game and Twitter leading up to that.
Uh, he's so good.
It really, really would like the city on fire, Basically.
I mean, like, social media on fire.
I mean, it would be so it'd be so great.
Just all worth it if we make the playoffs.
I mean, everything that we've been through, everything that we've gone through, all worth it. Browns in the playoffs.
No kidding. I'm with you there, Chris.
Who would you give the most credit to on this on this football team? I know it's a collective effort, so that would be your political answer to follow up your That was your last one.
But who are you kind of giving the credit to for this year? If you had to pick someone, Andrew Sendejo.
Everybody has to work a little bit harder when he's around.
So, uh, how about that, huh? Yeah, that's true.
That's the motivator.
You know everyone who's ripping him on Twitter, But he then, like, right after he made a tackle on people like Oh, yeah, You're gonna rip him now.
I was like, he made a tackle like, Come on, this is where we're at.
That's what you're supposed to do, is Chris Rock would say, Come on, he's supposed to be making tackled.
No, I mean, quite honestly, I I've got to get the credit to Stefanski.
I think you saw it on Sunday versus him verse Peterson who? They went away from the run way too early.
That's something the Browns have done in the past.
There were some questionable play calls, the same thing that we've seen in Cleveland, and it's nice to see the other sideline making those kind of strategic missed aches and it not being on our sideline.
So I'm going to give some credit and some due to Kevin Stefanski.
Plus, as we all know, he's a dreamboat, right? Absolutely working in fancy dreamboat Nick who you give the most credit to.
If you had to pick someone, mine was gonna be so fancy, too.
So I'll back it up a little bit further and say Paul DePodesta, because what could have been what could have been had we hired Kevin Stefanski last season, and this is, you know, Baker second year in a Kubiak offense since the fancy second year as a head coach slash play caller, it's been a lot of fun.
We made so much of going into this season because of Freddy's in aptitude of being both head coach and play caller like is too fancy gonna be able to do it? Should he give it to Van Pelt like Kevin Stefanski? This made being a head coach look really easy.
It's amazing what having basic organizational skills could dio, and I'm a big fan of him and he deserves all the credit because we like we talked about with Trotter.
Man, you know, Baker has been up and down.
He's had bad moment since the Fancies, quite frankly, had to coach around that at times.
And he's done a remarkable job.
So, yeah, Paul DePodesta is who I give the credit to from La Jolla, California Look at that drop in the references.
All right, Nick, I gotta Would you rather for you? We're not doing this segment, but there's quick one.
Would you rather talk about the Cavs drafting Isaac Kokoro and trading for JaVale McGee or skip the calves and go straight to my bookies? Bets against the Jaguars? We could talk calves if if you guys want to, I could talk calves.
I know me and Chris absolutely do not wanna talk calves, probably But I am curious your thoughts on a coral because you were You were covering it that night on Padoan.
My kid, take 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
So I was going in really expecting it to be either Denny at via from Israel.
You know, the over put sees player or obey Topping.
Who? Kobe Altman kind of put the smokescreen out from Dayton that he was really in Toby Topping.
And then he turns around and takes Collins ***ton's au teammate and Isaka Curro.
Super interesting, but it's an instant fit and it's a fit.
That's like, you know, looking back, it's like, Why did we think it would be Obi topping of power forward or a project small forward from overseas, like we already have in Jedi? Osmond, Isaka Curro definitely made the most sense because he's gonna be the day one starter at small forward.
And I was a big fan of the pick solely because of Oh, be Topping doesn't play any defense, and you can't continue to take players in the top 10 that just don't play any defense and magically hope that they pick it up overnight.
So I was definitely a big fan of the Isaka Crow pick.
Nice in the comments without Obafemi on Twitter, says Brown's such Eagles Nation Owen Eagles fan that's still mad.
And they can't even spell Brown's.
I think you were trying to say Brown suck, learn how to type, learn how to type ego Carson Wentz.
How about that? Oh, burn, Burn.
All right, let's zoom real quick.
Nick, what do you think of javale McGee? Yeah, I was upset.
The Tristan left.
Truth be told, I mean, he I thought Tristan had he played in Cleveland one more year, you know, brought him back for another year or two.
He would have kind of taken over that Mr Cavaliere title.
So it a little bit on Twitter when he left.
Like you didn't see one bad thing.
He's hustle. He's great.
You don't win 2016 without 13.
Put that on a T shirt where I'm from, but E was upset to see that happen.
So javale McGee.
You get a 2026 2nd round pick as well for Alfonzo McKinney, who played Ah good amount last year but was nothing, you know, besides a role player Jordan Bell, who didn't even have a number registered with the Cavs because he didn't play at all.
So you no love lost losing Jordan Bell for the Cavs, and you get a much needed depth center and a rim protector on an expiring deal.
So, possibly at the deadline? JaVale McGee is a guy that you could see involved in trade talks in possible Kevin Love packages under a Drummond Packages and other guy who's on an expiring deal to get more picks in Cleveland.
But overall, I like it because I think it fits the vision of guys that have a little bit more athleticism and that could run and use their feet.
And yeah, it definitely fit.
We got a sound effect here.
You hear that? Za quiet.
Deli baby Deli Labs to javale McGee.
We're gonna be on shocked in a full every night of the week.
Yeah, Andre Drummond chucking three.
Alright, It's not coming through very well.
Let's you know, let's let's move on to some Brown's jags with oh boy and some bets.

Let's talk some bets.
Let's talk some Jaguars because Brown's covered second week in a row.
You know, they say good teams win.
Great teams cover must mean we're a great team.
They are the Browns, 6.
5 point favorites on the road against the Jaguars.
We talked with Shawn Green Big better last week.
Eagles fan about the Chris, the three points home in a way not as big of a deal this year, Chris, Do you think the Browns beat the lowly Jags by a touchdown this week, or we're going to continue to cover that spread.
Yeah, I think this is one where you see the offensive merge after being kind of co**** for a couple of weeks For a few weeks now, with some nasty weather and things not being totally 100% with obviously chub being out.
And, uh, you know, you had Wyatt.
Uh, not any either.
So now you've got everybody kind of together.
This is another week where everybody is together.
You're gonna have better weather.
And so I think we're going to see the Browns offense.
Finally put something together.
Yeah, Nick, what do you think? I mean, no miles, no LBJ Ward.
Who knows? How do you How do you think we fare in this one? Yeah, I think we cover Aziz.
Well, it's the Jaguars.
You know, I don't want to spoil too much, but Jake Luton throw threw four interceptions.
Gardner Minshew is still questionable with that hand injury.
I just the Jags air rebuilding team.
They are what we have been the past three years for five years in Cleveland.
So I think the Browns win convincingly and yeah, kind of unbutton it a little bit in Florida.
Open up that offensive more, Chris.
We're gonna start putting some points up on the board and the nice Jacksonville weather, or we're gonna have another 17.
I don't think it's gonna go that high.
I don't think we're gonna go 49.
Uh, I think I think I think it's gonna be under 49.
I mean, it's tough to Brown.
Bet the Browns over right now.
I know a lot of that's weather related, but Nikki going over 49.
I'm gonna go over 49 solely.
You know why? Because last week was the first time in a while we've seen them utilized the big play play, play action.
You know where they found Hagen's? They found.
Boot like the opposite? Yeah, the opposite.
Yeah, they finally busted that out, and that was in the rain.
And neither of those went for touchdowns either.
So I think this week is gonna be the week for that toe.
Find its way into the end zone.
And Jarvis Landry, who hasn't found it yet either needs to get in there, too.
But I think they find a weird way to hit the over in this one.
Hopefully, I don't know.
I mean, the Jags put up 20 points a game.
That's got to be one of the worst out there, right? I mean, we put up almost 24 a game and we've we haven't scored a touchdown in God, I don't know how long.
So, yeah, I'm with Chris here.
I think I'm gonna go with the under, but I think it'll be closer than we think.
Hopefully, this game reeks to me.
11 year ago tomorrow, the Browns played the Miami Dolphins.
That 1 41 to 24.
That's kind of what I'm feeling. All right.
God, I would love that.
That would be so fun.
Nick mentioned earlier.
Luton threw three interceptions against the Steelers.
Will the Browns? This is a prop.
It Will the Browns defense get a turnover? Actually, Will they get two turnovers? The over under is 1.5.
2 turnovers during this game.
Uh, this is tough without Myles Garrett.
If we knew he was definitely back, I would pound that over Olivier.
Vernon does it again.
This time, he's gonna force a force A turnover.
We're gonna get another linebacker with an interception.
That's going to give us too.
So I'm gonna go over.
That's Yeah, I think the strip sack ninja in there.
It's a lot of stuff.
Bad anymore, That stuff.
Well, our friend Mac Wilson, get his, uh, get a turnover this week.
He almost had one last week.
You got screwed out of it.
Taki Taki, though. That's right.
I have one taki when you could have Taki Taki go.
Talking of T shirts.
Um, I want to get ahead of ourselves.
But Brown's 13th best odds to win the Super Bowl plus 4000 playoffs.
Don't talk about playoffs.
You kidding? May playoffs.
I just hope we can win a game.
Did you hear that one? Oh, yeah.
That was perfect. Plus 4000.
Chris, does that seem about right? Do you think I don't know.
What does that mean? What does take me through that once again? Plus 13th, 13th best odds to win the Super Bowl.
Do you think that's about right? So we're middle of the league? Middle of the pack? Essentially.
The only thing that, you know, it's kind of interesting.
Here is the A F.
C vs NFC e mean the fact that we're in the A F C North were struggling to get out of our division but were playing the NFC East and the NFC East.
Is God awful, you know.
So, man, it'd be wild if we were in a different division.
And that's what makes it kind of tough.
But sure, right in the middle of the pack.
Why not? I'll take that as a Browns fan going in the season.
If you told me how the 13th best odds at the Super Bowl.
Where do I sign up? So I don't think sitting here at Thanksgiving with those same odds, I'm changing that.
It also Yeah, I love it.
Now here's one for you because we've got an interesting game this week.
Who are you guys rooting for? A tie? Yeah.
Oh, look over right, I don't know.
Actually, that's a That's a good person thing to root for him.
They just don't get does.
If it gets canceled, there will be a Week 18, which would pretty much shoe the Browns in because then the playoff gets expanded.
Toe one MAWR team on both sides.
So if it goes 18 weeks because of a canceled game, Brown's we're gonna be in.
Screw the Dolphins.
Screw the Colts.
John on Twitter.
What's up, John? He says, uh, last year were 25 to 1 to start the season.
Um, all right, let's get into some bold print.
What's up? Oh, no. We're doing baseball cards.
We're gonna play some baseball cards like baseball sound to come through our baseball cards sound, which is me.
Can you hear me? Yes.
Can you hear me? Over the music.
Can you still hear the music? Where's it gone? Yeah, we're good.
Okay, so I've got two identical packs this week.
I'm gonna open yours first.
I will open mind. Second.
Oh, I didn't get to pick. This is rigged.
Which one do you want? You want the one I just opened with a Philly sticker on the top or the mystery pack? Dave, I'm going to switch it up.
Mystery pack with the mystery pack.
You're sticking me with the Phillies logo to start way Got notice.
Chris Hammond from Red Bill Clark from the Tigers are Gardner from the Expos.
Oh, we've got a guy by the name of Ken Griffey Jr.
I ruined everything.
Stay You familiar with this player? Never heard of them.
I'll put him in my starting lineup.
Then we've got a guy by the name of Jose Conseco.
Jose Conseco once took a ball off his head in old Cleveland Municipal Stadium for our home run against your Cleveland Indians.
I'm gonna have him on my bench right now.
E got Dave Oaxaca.
Hark! I don't know how to pronounce that.
I think you nailed it.
Get out of Pronounce that my intern.
No, it does not know how to pronounce it.
Hey, Former Indian David Siggy way Oh yeah, First base back! Back when the Indians hadn't all start every single position, David Saggy was our first baseman.
Al Newman Ill Landra! Eddie Murray.
That's a winner, Tribesmen.
That's a good one.
That one's gonna dio Greg Myers.
Mike Jackson, our closer.
Remember when, like, yeah, he was fantastic on Bill Long.
How are you doing with? I'm gonna go with Eddie Murray on a guy by the name of Ken Griffey Jr.
Let's see what your pack has got.
All right, turn the music down just a little bit.
Just a little bit.
It sounds like we're at the circus E Ballo the clown to emerge your first card.
Tom O malley from the Mats and Alexa Doug Jones from your Cleveland Indians.
Remember Doug Jones? No.
No, the music ended.
I know I'm doomed.
I'll keep going.
Maybe his distant relative.
All right, Do a back flip.
Ah, guy by the name of Julio Franco.
Why? I believe it's still playing right now in an independent league.
In Japan, 67 years old.
Still going through.
This one doesn't count.
It's a split card.
You got Bobby Bania, who's still getting paid by the Mets.
And you've got Barry Larkin, who Reds fans will talk and nauseum about got Joe Baker.
No, you've got Von Hayes Von Hayes.
I need a Grand Slam card in here.
Charlie Lee Brandt's looking for now.
1991 checklist or team logo.
So it looks like your best right now is Julio Franco and Ozzie Smith.
Would you agree? By far? And that's up against my Eddie Murray and Ken Griffey Jr.
Nick who you like? Yeah, give me Chris in this one.
And Chris, is this your first victory? This is like my second in a row idea.
Okay, that, my friends, is what we call a winning streak.
So it has happened before.
Uh, you juked me out of it, Chris.
I should have had that locked up.
I thought you were screwing May.
Thank you. And Eddie Murray.
Let's do some bold predictions, home brother.
All right, Nick, you got a bold prediction for us.
It was going to be the back Oz, resigned Matthew DellaVedova.
But they did that today.
Yeah, I saw that they had a deli back Thio Veterans Minimum contract.
So my bold prediction for this week let's just go with Let's go.
You know, we always say it and it never happens.
Let's go with the Baker.
Mayfield four touchdown game for passing touchdowns.
Nice Baker Mayfield in Florida.
That would be phenomenal.
Uh, Chris and no over there.
One thing we didn't touch on during the show that I thought was amazing from the stats was Kareem Hunt.
Do you know how many yards cream Hunt rushed for in that game? I feel like he had, like, five.
You had 11 believe Baker Mayfield had nine way talk about the tandem and how they're awesome.
And then I looked at the stats.
I was like, Yeah, and he rushed for, like, 12 times for 11 yards.
And but you gotta You gotta count his vertical yards.
He was up in the air, at least six yards Air Jordan style.
That was That was something else.
That was something else.
But this week, I'm gonna go with Nick Chubb getting over 100 yards and Kareem Hunt over 50 yards.
So those two gentlemen are going to account for nearly 200 yards between the both of them.
We'll see if that happens.
I'm going to go with the boldest of the bold, and then I will go back to Noah.
Andrew Sendejo is going to get an interception.
It has happened before.
He just said no.
I just said you took Hiss.
That's how bold it waas No one would ever think of it other than intern.
No, I thought of it.
Yeah, I did not see that coming.
Oh, no, no, it's all bold it out.
Scrambling? What about a Buckeye? Who are the Buckeyes playing? What? Do you even talk Buckeyes? Yeah, You got a Buckeye prediction for this week? No, Uh, it can't to beat Buffalo.
Noah there on the road, sneak by Indiana last week.
Kind of on the Buckeyes.
28 a half who we're playing Illinois.
Illinois? Oh, God.
I forgot about Illinois.
The battle for the wooden turtle, right? You're Terrapin.
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.
While we're waiting on Noah, John says bold prediction.
Schobert interception on Baker.
It's called the ill a buck.
Really Nice red wine interception.
What did you have? No one says Okay, He's going to spread.
You see? Ohio State covering the spread.
Illinois, covering the spread against Ohio State.
Illinois showing up this season.
They're going to cover the spread against your Buckeyes, bringing the show down here a little bit.
No, Uh, I don't want to see that.
Let's see the Buckeyes roll, man.
