I think we're life guns.
You guys, What's going on? It's your boy, Brad, back at it again with another broadcast.
Now, today we have got some breaking news.
Is the first video that I've ever titled breaking news before so it might catch you off guard, especially seeing this on my channel.
But with that being said, we did get some pretty bad news yesterday that Washington football team's head coach, Ron Rivera, has been diagnosed with squat, um, a cell cancer.
I believe I'm saying that correctly.
Um, this was first reported by NFL Network's Mark Mark Mike, Mike Gary.
Follow her Washington football team spokesman.
Now, obviously, this isn't your usual daily NFL news or just any news that I break my channel.
But I am a football team fan.
Um, this is one of the most likable coaches we've had in a long time.
And, to say the least, hiring Rivera was one of the best things we've done all year.
As you hopefully know, we have went through a lot of heart hardships.
Um, Jay Gruden was let go because he was a terrible coach.
Dan Snyder had lawsuits against him with um, sleeping with some of the cheerleaders on the team.
I will not get into that.
We do not need to discuss that on an app like this, But there's been a lot of incidents much like that.
Darius Guys was one of the best running back prospects we've had in a long time.
We had to cut him because of off the field issues that I don't need to get into on this video.
And then, besides hiring Rivera, the only other good news we had is Alex Smith coming back from all of his surgeries, all 16 of them, and potentially has a chance to be the week one starter.
So, obviously, as you can already tell to say the least, this has not been a great start for the football team this year.
It's really hasn't, and I don't know if it's going to continue like this.
It probably will, uh, you know? Yeah, guys, to get tricked cut for being an idiot.
You're right, Josh s O.
Regardless of that, I mean, a lot has not had a lot, has not went the way that the football team has wanted it to.
But we did get some good news within this incident, if you'd like to call it that.
Rivera is 58 years old, but he will continue coaching this season in a statement released by the team.
Rivera's cancers in an early stage and is considered very treatable and curable, which provides a good prognostic frog, which provides a lot of hope for the organization.
Rivera himself and fans just like me.
So we can already tell that Rivera is probably not ruling to die from this, which is awesome.
Ah, but it will definitely affect him one way or another.
I mean, just getting a sickness like this is bad enough, but getting it in your late fifties to your early sixties, that's even worse.
So, you know, I really hope for American recover as quick as possible from this because this is not This is not good.
It's not good to get when you're this old and when your immune system is not the best shape it's ever been in.
So Rivera is in a tight spot.
Ah, just like the Redskins are not.
I did not say it, just like the football team's organization from the last decade.
They're both in tight spots, and they both could use a lot of help.
Now the team did announce a Plan B.
If Rivera has to spend a lot more time in the hospital.
Dealing with this with treatment and all that good stuff Plan B is that Rivera should take some time off and that they would have an intern coach and that intern coach for the football team would be Jack Del Rio, which is our defensive coordinator at the moment.
So I guess that he would be handling defensive coordinator duties while being the head coach for the time.
Rivera is taking off, and then our offensive coordinator, Scott Turner, will stay offensive coordinator.
They'll keep that duties, but dough Rio will have a bigger impact and it will have a lot more power in our organization if Rivera takes time off.
So that's our Plan B.
Hopefully, we don't have to resort to that Plan B.
That's the worst case scenario.
Hopefully, we just stick with playing a and all goes well.
That's what we're all hoping for.
But if we do have to go Plan B, it's not that battle Plan B now, a bit of insight on uh, schooI knows self cancer.
I think I really hope I'm saying that right.
But this type of cancer is a common form of skin cancer that develops in the squad Imus cells that make up the middle and outer layers of skin.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Although this is not considered life threatening, the cancer can be very aggressive in some stages of its development.
Now, we do know that this is in the early stages.
So for Rivera right now, this will not be as bad as it might be down the line from a couple months from now.
So we have to keep that in mind.
Ah, you know, he could have had a lot worse happen to him now.
This didn't even happen.
This didn't even have to happen to him in the first place.
But at least he has something that's not going.
Teoh take his life at least.
I mean, it's really sad when you think about it that if this was a little bit more threatening, if Rivera was a little bit older and he had a little bit worse oven immune system, this could potentially take his life, which is not not good at all.
Even if you're a Cowboys fan or an Eagles fan that just hates look, football team.
I mean, you don't want to see cancer.
Take this man's life.
You really don't mean is one of the best coaches over the past decade or so Great Carolina.
And he's been involved in the NFL for over 35 years.
That doesn't mean he's been coaching for 35 years.
He was a former second round draft pick out of the University of California, Berkeley.
Rivera played nine years in the NFL as a linebacker for the Chicago Bears in 1984 2 1992 which included a win in Super Bowl X X.
I'm not sure what that stands for, but you want to see parole regardless.
So Ron Rivera was not just a group good coach over.
His timeline in the NFL was also pretty solid player.
Rivera's coaching career would also jump start in Chicago, where he became the Bears defensive coordinator in 2000, 2004 and then 2004 onward to 2020.
Even coaching for 16 years.
And I think he's a great coach.
I admired this man in Carolina with what he did to get the Panthers to the Super Bowl on that 15 and one season with Cam Newton.
Obviously, they couldn't close it out against the Broncos.
But getting to the school is a whole lot better than not making the playoffs like Carolina was supposed to that year by many ****ysis.
So you know Rivera doesn't get enough credit as much as he deserves it.
And just best of wishes for you, man, I really hope that this guy heels up as soon as possible.
I hope that this doesn't have that this cancer does not like most likely won't take his life.
But I really hope that it doesn't affected to the point where he can't coach anymore, because from a fan standpoint, this is the best coach we've had for a long time, maybe since Joe Gibbs.
I think that this this is one of the best coaches we've had in our existence of the franchise.
So losing a guy to a type of cancer, it's going really stock and I really hope that that doesn't happen.
We'll have to see, though, Um, the Washington did hire Rivera in late December after 8.
5 year season tenure with the Panthers.
As I previously mentioned, Rivera would lead the Panthers to Super Bowl 50 where they would lose to Denver and Peyton Manning.
Now there were a lot of tweets that did come out about Ron Rivera getting the cancer, and they did announce this yesterday, and I might be a little bit later on this video as well.
But it seems like a lot of people are really caring about this, and that's always a good thing.
Uh, just a few things.
The Washington football team official Twitter, I think, tweeted out.
Riverboat Ron Head coach.
We're all with you, Stephanie and Christopher and Courtney guessing that's his family.
And then even Carolina tweet out.
Keep pounding after about Ron, head coach, Um, that was on Twitter.
Chicago did the same thing, and those are the three teams that have been involved and reveres entire career.
Jack Thompson, the Panthers linebacker praying for Coach Ron in the Rivera family.
Sending your love? No, Ron gonna beat this.
You know, there's just a lot of good support for this, and that's awesome.
to see around the league.
I'm sure plenty of other coaches have come out and said something about this matter and they wish the best for him or whatever the case may be.
It's socks, I understand.
But you know, as a football team fan, the organization, the fan base, which there might be five people left at this point, we all have to get through this and we just have to be able to come together.
I don't make this sound too emotional, but this is a very serious matter.
This is not anything to joke about.
And like I said, you know, some people whenever they're in a tight game with their rival and their rivals, best player gets hurt and they end up losing the game because of that, like it's not okay to say, Let's go, you know, good job.
I'm glad he got hurt or hurt another guy that's not OK and then getting it to the point where you might say it about somebody who has cancer now it's even worse.
So overall, I mean, I wish you the best, Ron, I really hope this guy heels up.
Assume it's possible.
This is not This is not a matter that anybody needs to go through where that has to.
It just happened to him, and I really I'm going to pray for the best for Ron Reira.
But if you're is winning and you didn't already get the gist of the video, our breaking news is Washington football team's head coach, Ron Rivera, has been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer.
Ah, so with that being said, guys, make sure to send a prayer up for Ron.
I'm sure he'll appreciate it, and I really hope this guy recovers as soon as possible.
But with that being said, make sure they keep God number one guys and peace out.
I'll catch you guys in the next broadcast, guys.
