turn on clothes capturing.
And with that, we welcome into that.
We got Nets Channel right here on SportsCastr, your official affiliate for the Brooklyn Nets, and we come in just a hair Lee 60 run to start things off your top of the key for the Orlando Magic.
So they got that six solely going some different players out there for the Brooklyn Nets.
We kind of expected this.
I was just having a conversation with Macro Scott Chios, a Tyler Johnson of Busa out there on the Anderson as well.
So they switched it up here.
The Brooklyn Nets did kind of It's again, kind of anticipated this thought.
You get a look at some of these younger guys actually TLC out there, not Martin.
Starting things off with makes more sense.
Um, this is what you anticipated in a lot of ways, because I think from the Nets standpoint, you want to give Joe Harris Jared Allen, Caris Levert a little bit arrest.
This game doesn't have any meaning.
It's the Orlando Magic.
They already locked into the seven seed Orlando's in the eighth seed, so there's nothing really to gain or lose here.
You can still have an incredible benefit in terms of some of these other players and then getting a chance, Aziz, far as seeing what they look like overlord or minute shares, Um, and maybe getting a little bit deeper into your bench.
I didn't take a look to see what the double check here.
And just to clarify TLC is out there along with Martin.
So Martin is there as well.
Um, it's going to be interesting to see here where Jacque Vaughn goes as far as the bench, remember, Not a tremendous amount of depth.
You're going to see hole in this one for sure.
You're going to maybe see some Lance Thomas just because if you're not going to use Jared Allen at all, then obviously you're gonna wanna have some flexibility there.
Karube started at the five, though, so you could certainly just bring in whole to spell him and leave it at that.
With no Lance Thomas, we'll go ahead and take a look. Aziz.
Well, just over on the ah, the update here as far as injuries, injuries and players that are inter out and see, there's any movement there for the Brooklyn Nets specifically around Jamal Crawford, who came in very, very briefly and then, of course, went out with that hamstring.
Haven't seen him since.
So Jamal Crawford is day to day.
Will not play in the game.
He got Garrett Temple.
He's getting rested.
You've got Caris Levert out.
Ah, they're gonna call that guy Can thigh contusion for him.
Grueling contusion for Joe Harris.
He will not play.
Ah, sprained left ankle for Jared Allen.
He will also be out.
So there you go.
All the big players, the big three, at least plus Garrett Temple.
Ah, And then also Jamal Crawford will not be available here.
Currently, a +64 is We hit the 8 46 mark here in the first quarter of action That started out there a little bit slow, as you might expect, given the rotation of characters that you're putting out on the floor.
Familiarity with one another, especially on the offensive end.
But this will be interesting to see how these units look on again.
As we know over on the other side of it, we can take a look at the Orlando Magic and understand that they're also dealing with some of their own injuries as well.
Unfortunately, let's take a look at them as we dive in here on the action for their injury report.
You've got Ah, Mo Bamba.
He'll be out for this game.
You're also gonna be without Ross.
You're going to be obviously without Gordon Carter Williams out as well.
And then day to day was 40.
He is also going to be out for this game.
So we are getting the Motley crew on both sides of the bull.
It makes me regret not being in on the Clippers game, Obviously, unfortunately, especially around the MBA action and how much we seen of it over this.
What has been 14 days, eight games per team, just a ton of action.
As we know, the slates have been enormous in terms of all the games that we get on a day to day basis.
So we missed out on the Clipper going to call that Clipper action, but I did get to watch it and certainly love every second of that big game.
So we'll talk about that a little bit as well.
We had come in and done that broadcast here, just recapping that game recorded our latest podcast episode short off front Rin There for the Brooklyn Nets.
And that was a T L C three attempt sweeping through the lane, getting fouled by Karubas tried to stay in front of but could not.
So one do will go to the line and shoot to hear again.
That's crews picking up the foul there.
This will be one of those games where you probably avoid every single betting line, because there is no way that you can understand what the expectations should be around this game.
I know I personally be staying away from it.
Some of the things that we talked about just just before with that Brooks and I, though, as we see Jacque Vaughn speaking with Anderson, can bang some of those conversations with the expectations for for our for him out there on the floor, these air learning.
These are teachable.
There's a very teachable game for some of these young players.
Specifically, you think about a ah Anderson, even a Caruso we're all familiar with, and then we'll wait and see.
I would like to see some hole in this game because again, as we highlight a couple episodes ago on the podcast.
These are the kind of games these aching restart where younger players are ones that can benefit and getting value out of it.
Nice cross court pass their knocked down as TLC doesn't chase waterfalls, but he knocks down threes.
That'll do a 9 10 excuse me.
Deficit here As the Nets forced turnover on the defense event Outlet pass Find themselves with their first lead of the game.
Shout out to comfy socks.
Thank you for joining the broadcast.
Thank you for following fan of the show.
Fan of me, friend of the show.
That's what you get to be now as you join the we got Nets Troop of of Brooklyn Nets supporters and just just MBA supporters in general as well.
Back the other way.
Anderson off the mark there from deep back iron haven't I haven't been blown away.
Relatively speaking by Anderson and what we've seen from him, you listen.
The size just isn't there? Um athleticism.
You know, I think he's just a poor man's version of a lot of other players.
You might look at around the n B A.
Can you move the needle.
Certainly, he was benefiting there.
On that last sequence, he got the assist.
Following the crude steel, however, Cruz gets hit with his second foul there.
So already a little bit early foul concerns here again, knowing what players are going to be out for Brooklyn.
You start to look into that bench.
I would assume whole be the 1st 1 to come off here.
Let's talk a little bit about news and notes around the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando.
Magic, even though, as we know this is, Ah, not the teams you would have seen during the regular season.
But it will be the second meeting in the bubble for them.
Ah, 1 28 1 18 was the victory for Orlando over the Nets to start this bubble back on July 31st and boy, have the Nets come a long way since a blowout loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
But other than that, four wins, including, obviously, the big victories over the L.
A Clippers and over the Milwaukee Bucks along the white.
So this has been a very positive set of gains for the Nets and again to touch on some of the things that we were talking about with Matt Brooks just a moment ago, the Nets was a couple of things at play here because we're looking around the Western Conference, and obviously we know how congested it's getting at the back end there.
Can they make that final push? Mets could arguably end up playing with an opportunity to be a spoiler there in the final game on Friday, Thursday night there against the Portland Trail Blazers, who, in order just to lock themselves in.
They currently are there, but the sons are right behind them.
The Spurs or percentage point behind as well.
If they can come in there and play upset, special for the Portland Trail Blazers and hand them a loss that allows the sons to get ahead of them and get into that playing games scenario against the Memphis Grizzlies that would end up being three really big games Bucks, clippers and in this one where it would be full strength.
Obviously, Portland Trail Blazers everything to play for.
So that would be really interesting for the Brooklyn Nets to be able to come out of this bubble regardless of what happens in the first round of the playoffs.
Not expert not expecting little wind that's neither here or there to be ableto hang those winds with a roster that you've had down there.
It's big for Jacques Vaughn and his coaching candidacy to stay as the head coach for the Brooklyn Nets, and we've been an advocate for him on the podcast.
And then beyond that, you know, Joe Harris has moved the Neil for himself.
Um, you know Caris.
Levert has look incredibly strong.
Jared Allen has improved and created these new fools to his game that had been very impressive.
So there's a lot of things toe like about what Brooklyn has accomplished here in this bubble when coming into it.
Expectations were, as they highlight the field goal percentage on layoffs, where the Magic are third in the league, behind only the Nets at 69% and then the king's at 65%.
This is Ah, excuse me inside the bubble, by the way, So that's doing an incredible job in and around the basket, coming care of not just carried out in that work, but one lumber Joe, who's done a nice job getting into the lane off the baseline, penetrating down the middle and giving himself an opportunity to have success as well.
So, um, again, coming into a bubble where the Nets over under, I think was Senate 2.
In terms of wins, they've already exceeded that with four.
They could arguably get their fifth here today and just further cementing what we think should be affirmation that Jacque Vaughn will be the head coach going into next season.
First foul shot is good there for Brian.
2nd 1 coming here, and this will give Orlando a 12 11 lead if converted, which it is moving on now to the game for the Brooklyn Nets, along with Chios up, Anderson still out there, TLC still on the floor, and the last man is Tyler Johnson.
So just Cruise gets pulled out there with two fouls trying to preserve.
And so, again, very interesting, though they don't go to Hall, Uh, Jacque Vaughn goes over to Moussa, and, by the way, as Anderson shock, it's partially blocked there in the corner.
Fantastic defensive effort there by Take a look there who got that official tip there missed opportunity. There the rack.
Moussa flies and can convert.
Moose is a great example of the player, though, who hasn't seen a lot time here in the bubble, and this could be a big game for him, just in terms of 21 years old.
Still, Young didn't see a lot of action during the regular season.
Just feels like still needs time to develop or possibly just confirm or deny whether or not he has a future with the Brooklyn Nets.
So on that basis, he's going to get a nice run here is probably expected, maybe, to spell some players along the way.
The foul trouble for Cruz opens things up and Jacque Vaughn Allex try to stay small all the way through here, as opposed to risk.
You know, Leader one, leaving outcry groups or going with a young player and whole someone that has not been with the team as Moussa works the baseline.
Little reverse lay up there is good, and the Nets pulled themselves back within 1 14 13 of the 5 23 mark here in the first Vucevic's is playing.
He sets the screen shot in the lane there, and one, it looks like and that's gonna send right back to the line there for D.
Augustine was at the liner before a foul cold there on Chios.
A. So he's having conversation with the referee.
Chose A is just as saying, Hey, listen, you lean back into May.
I was out of the way.
Augustine will go right back to the line with a chance for a three point play and to extend the early lead for the Orlando Magic to 17 13.
It is through untrue and a four point advantage for the Magic.
When this started out as well, you think about the matchups.
Obviously, we know the Nets did beat the Bucks.
They pulled a couple of their starters in The Honest and Middleton at the end of the first half there, as TLC is smooth from three another three ball there for Timothy Lulu Camero and that will pull the Nets right back within 1 17 64 53 mark here in the first quarter.
Augustine, off the dribble beat moves into the who, but couldn't get it to go now shows that running one on three drops it often.
Moussa Moussa wide opened.
Where's Bullwinkle when you need him.
There's Moussa knocking down the triple, working on some calls for him.
He hasn't been around the team a lot in terms of getting on the court, so we gotta work at it.
Ah, where's Rocky? Yeah, Where is Rocky? As Rusa Just pulling for the three.
We'll work it out in the chat box there, miss.
On the offensive end, its 1917.
Now, Moussa drives kicks back outside.
Tyler Johnson pulls from three straight on through Tyler Johnson, who started out strong initially in the bubble.
Then I thought it a bit of a low there.
The last couple of games for him, though, have been very solid here, obviously, with starting look as a time out is cold by the magic as well, and the Nets get themselves right back out in front, back to back possessions with threes.
Nay uh, three possessions in a row, TLC, Moussa and then Tyler Johnson with the bucket.
And here's a nice job by Moussa drove into the lane, got himself caught in the air, but did find Tyler Johnson kick it outside for that triple effort.
So as we were talking about some of these players making a case for themselves tohave off spot on this roster.
This is the way that you do it.
This is how you start.
You start by coming in and playing sound basketball, protecting it, facilitating for your teammates.
And if you're Moussa, you now knocked down 23 You've had a nice up in under scoop driving, baseline throwing assistant.
There is, well, so success early for Moussa as he's inserted into this game, replacing the ah foul troubled kooks.
Who again, I think it showed us a nice things.
I talked about it the last time.
Unfortunately, the four turnovers was a big red flag in that last game.
You did everything else like like they have done like he has done.
Excuse me, Give.
You know he's giving you that 7 to 10 kind of points.
He's giving you 45 rebounds, three or four assists, a steel or two here and there and gets a steal early in this one as well.
But the turnovers he had been avoiding, I've liked his defensive effort, energy, the bottom line being in spite of the early foul trouble for him not overly concerned about him moving the needle.
I I think he's done that for himself.
You'll see him on the bench next year.
You'll see him with an opportunity.
Get small minute shares, probably initially, because again, if we think about as we'll go inside the box, score here and just give you a quick run down.
If we think about the line up in the roster for the Brooklyn Nets, you know, let's examine what? How that feels going into next season, right? You're going to be talking about.
And they have this posted up a little bit, a little bit out of whack here.
So we'll have to do our best to kind of shuffle the cards in order.
Um, you're gonna be talking about, Let's say, Kyrie, Irving along with Caris, Levert a look and Kevin Durant houses.
Maybe you're but Kevin Durant and there the power forward.
And then let's just say Jared out.
Right now you're talking about, though, Cruz gets to spell Kevin Durant or maybe even down lower.
If you want to get a bigger size matchup, don't know athleticism and quickness on the defensive end to stay in front at the at the small forward position but flexibility for him there.
You're gonna have Garrett Temple.
He's going to be your first selection behind Joe Harris.
Most likely where the story on Prince fence, These mixing characters as well.
And then you think about obviously having DeAndre Jordan to go along with, um, you know, and then TLC is probably going to be there.
So you see how Cruz is going to have his minister.
I think it may take him a little bit of time, depending.
Or if you're Jacque Vaughn.
From what we can gleam here, I think he likes it, likes utilizing it.
I think that you seen a better, more confident, more fluid player in Kukes over this bubble then you had seen during the course of the season.
So she feels pretty cemented.
But Moussa and whether or not he's going to be up on the N B.
A roster start season or down the Geely, I don't think that he's gonna be able to do enough for himself over these last couple of games.
Gonna come down to training camp off season moves, etcetera.
That will dictate that.
But more than likely, you would think that Moose is in a role where he's gonna have to continue to develop himself and then wait for an opening based on injury or the way he plays down in the G League to get himself a coal up again.
You know, a guy like she o za.
I don't see him being on the roster.
Just from a numbers standpoint.
You could be in the G leak potentially.
But when you talk about having Kyrie Irving having Caris Levert having Spencer Dinwiddie, and then even you can throw in saying that We'll Garrett Temple could handle both.
Joe Harris could if you needed to.
Kevin Durant can handle it often will.
So it makes the value of a point guard of his size and skills that which is primarily that passing that he brings to the high energy.
It's gonna be interesting to see if he would be able to hold that position going into next year.
Miss on the inside but re gathered kicked out front.
Therefore Orlando straight up the middle off the mark, 25 17.
Brooklyn's now asset eight point lead.
Tyler Johnson thinks about a deep three, then kicks into the lane fires from the elbow any smooth and true.
A 10 point advantage here.
This is probably what you should expect.
You know, um, again, you got a mixed bag and really just no starters out there for the Brooklyn Nets in terms of the regular season inside the bubble, Cruz has had start.
So you would say that he did start this game, but everybody else shows.
Got a couple looks there as well.
And this is TLC driving the lane, getting at the rack, taking the foul and heading to the line for two.
So, you know, how are you supposed to gauge his expectations on this game? I based on what we've seen so far, where the Nets had played above what our expectations were and where they were able to get a big victory even without some of their big name players on the roster.
Uh, in the game, at least so so far, maybe meeting exactly the expectations words the Nets left to go five and two in the bubble, and I highlighted this as well.
If they can get this win here and then depending on how they approach that final game against Portland you could be looking at a chance for the Nets to go six and two on the bubble and maybe more importantly, symbolically as I called for this in the regular season, saying that I thought we gave our game predictions on the We got That's podcast.
I thought the Nets could be a 500 ball club.
I thought it was reasonable to set that benchmark for them.
If they could go six and two here in the bubble, they will achieve that at 33 33 albeit, but they will have achieved that goal of this eight game restart.
I think again, this is an organization that believes in those kind of benchmarks.
Otherwise, they would have gone the route that a lot of fans, frankly, we're calling for as Orlando misses but gets the long rebounds.
Second chance looks here have come for Orlando foul and one opportunity.
As Birch gets inside their dishes, it off the false false goes to the hole strong and will go to the line looking to finish off a three point play and bring the Orlando Magic back within single digits.
Um, yeah, there was a part of the fan base who really felt comfortable saying that the Nets just tank, Why bother in the bubble? You know, Go ahead and get that Minnesota draft pick back.
Put yourself in the 13 spot.
A lot of reasons to not be a fan of that one.
Just if you're out there playing.
I think first of all, convincing players not to make enough to have effort not to have hustle for an organization.
It's private itself on that and some of the tenants of it, that's a risk.
Um, beyond that, though, players, if there on the court, are going out there to win, as Anderson Penetrate gets to go off glass and if one and one deserves another Anderson, 31 20 a chance to make it back to 10 point lead.
That isn't what you dio.
These players are going out there to give maximum effort, and that's exactly how they approach this bubble.
It was important for a lot of individuals important for the coaching staff and again, I just think that this further cells, you know this further sells the Brooklyn Nets organization to Kyrie two k d.
And in that vein, maybe it helps to also sell, uh, you also help sell Jacque Vaughn, so there's no reason to go that way, on top of which it's a beak draft class.
This year, everyone said that, right, You're not going to be in the upper two or three.
You're not gonna have a chance to do with the Golden State Warriors 10 which is ditch out of that top selection and maybe find an opportunity to bring even more talent after their injury plagued season.
If you don't have that chance, you might as well play hard and play with hustle.
That's what still picking 20 in the swamp that they'll have with the Philadelphia 76 years moves on the drive.
Kick out to the corner to Anderson has did on the three, then drove baseline.
Hall is checked in the game.
He'll grab that rebound.
This weirdo sideline camera doesn't allow me to see that one almost flew out of bounds.
She was trying to save it, but one over to Orlando Hustle play from Moussa.
He gets the steal, turns it around, dries the length up off glass ugly.
Look there, though, couldn't finish.
Unfortunately, yes, they are.
Devil, Thank you for joining me on the other broadcast.
Thank you for stopping it on this broadcast.
The Nets are looking sharp in this one, as you would expect in spite of Moussa missing there comes right back down from three, and that's TLC.
As we say, man does not chase one falls, but it does knock down threes.
That is, I believe his third of the games look very crispier.
Pocket picked, thereby.
Chios, a TLC, came away with it, but then turned it right back over looking outlets of Moussa Mismatch There.
On the defensive end, however, Birch cannot hit from the perimeter.
It's a 34 to 20 game, 14 point advantage as we come inside of the final minute here.
Nets started one of 10 from Deep have knocked down five for five since.
Okay, nice little fake there on the dish from Chios A.
And although he does spill the ground missing up off glass too strong, back the other way of the two for one chance foul call on the interior.
Anderson will pick this one up here, and that's going to send Orlando back to the line, and that will be Justin on the on the charity stripe for two.
Looking to close this gap down to 12 very strong first quarter performance from the Brooklyn Nets.
We remind you that the Nets are foreign to in this bubble.
As we said, their only losses came against Orlando and Boston.
They shot 39 nearly 40% from three point range, making 17 threes on average per contest.
And that has been excuse May Ah, 28% from behind.
Kahane apologized and therefore, winds.
While they've only knocked down 28% in those two losses, so the three ball is important.
What do you know? The three bold matters in the N b A.
Friends. That's what you would expect to hear.
Moussa brings it down here effectively.
The last shot of the quarter about a one second shot clock, two game clock difference.
Moussa will size up is he backs Birch down towards top of the key.
Let's take him off.
The dribble gets around.
Um, they'll call this foul it think on the floor, so it will just be a side out here.
Not bad, though.
Not a bad job thereby, Moussa used his quickness, got around the corner in a hurry.
Seven seconds to shoot now on the trigger and from Shiozawa, Moussa again takes it, protects its scoops.
It can't get it to go off the mark.
No call is Moussa looks towards the referee. There.
It will be a 34 to 22 1st quarter lead for the Brooklyn Nets.
All of the backups look sharp in this one.
Let's give you that.
Run down on the box score.
Then we'll take a little step away.
Come back in as the second quarter gets under way and give you continuing coverage of the Brooklyn Nets inside the bubble.
Taking on the Orlando Magic looking to get that fifth when? Over the 1st 7 games.
Okay, on the Nets side of things.
A short burst, five minutes, four road eons.
Kooks who only came away with a bucket had two rebounds.
It was the personal fouls that hurt him so again, as we highlighted the top, those numbers are nice, right? Even in just five minutes of action, having a couple of reasons that is playing out of position at the five.
So rebounds should be at least more opportunistic form there.
But if you're talking about giving a two or three steals in the game and giving you seven or eight rebounds to go along with eight or 10 points.
That's that's right where you want it to be living.
Unfortunately, foul trouble got beyond that, though.
This team is being led by the absolutely exquisite shooting from one downtown and also hit on both of his free throws.
17 points to lead all scorers in this contest, he supplemented thereby.
Tyler Johnson, who in 10 minutes of action went three or four and two of two from Deep, gave you a rebound and two assists to go along with it.
And his eight points have been a nice little once.
You punch to go along with TLC.
Other players of note here despite not having any points.
Geos A does have three assists on the day with in 12 minutes of action.
In spite of being OO four from the field to this point, Nets have protected the ball three turnovers there in that first quarter.
Not great, not terrible projecting.
I have 12 turnovers like a state rate on that 10 number for the game over.
Also, protect that a little bit.
And then the ah so far, Dante.
Whole two minutes of action had a turnover and a personal foul to go along with his rebounds.
So not a great start from him.
The final player to note here.
Five points to a four from the floor and seven minutes Action gave you a rebound.
Gave you three assists as well.
Had a steal to go along with it. No turnover.
So very strong performance from him.
Let's see how he can carry over the opportunity with foul trouble around Kukes.
48% from the fields.
40 from deep on six of 15 only two or three limited opportunities at the line.
The Orlando Magic.
I want to say here they have three scorers, all with five.
That's Vucevic's wound.
Do and Augustine Augustine look sharp there early, but one of four from the field in spite of knocking down all three trips at the line, has three assists as well to go along with it.
Five turnovers in that quarter spread out across five players, but the turnovers will come back to bite yet just 26% from the field overall and 28% from deep.
Eight of eight of the line, though, so they have gotten to the line, and that's gonna be something to watch for here with a relatively thin bench for Brooklyn.
How are they going to approach managing some of the issues in terms of foul trouble? As we highlighted, they show it on the broadcast.
Thursday night, the final game of the eight game restart for Brooklyn taking on the Portland Trail Blazers.
We'll see how that one fares on, and then, as it would stand right now, I wish already know this Monday, the 17th Friends.
The playoffs officially begin against the Toronto Raptors back to back to start that Siri's off on Monday and sorry on Tuesday and Wednesday night, 17th and 18th.
I'll confirm that that's Monday or Tuesday there, but 17th and 18th of for these teams and for the Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs haul out there on the floor, so we'll keep an eye on him as a offensive foul cold there.
Moussa took the charges.
The screen was trying to get set down there on the low block.
So another nice play for Moussa.
He gets it here on the offense.
Event gives up the dribble, kicks it over the works its way around to Caruso, checked back into the game to start second quarter.
Moussa once again now on the floor with Cruz, as we can see, and Cruz goes front rim on a three ball, no interior effort for the offensive.
Rebounding back the other way.
We will reset thes lineups in totality here for you as there's a couple of different players out there, including one Lance Thomas.
So here to start the second quarter nets go with the quote.
You're going to have Lance Thomas at the Four Hall at the five, and then you're gonna have the small forward being Karube s with Moussa making up that backcourt as he gets called on the offensive foul here, 34 22.
Just nearly a minute gone by on.
Then you've got Jeremiah Martin in there in the backcourt.
So here's another little is a nice little sample size to take a look at what this contention he could be.
Now you take out Lance Thomas and put in Jared Allen, Possibly more than likely you're never going to see this again, but it's still interesting.
The highlight whole stands his ground, but it will be the magic getting in at the rim there and pulling themselves within 10 34 24.
That's Birch on the inside, Moussa once again triggering the offense.
Here he works over to Martin.
Martin pivots back outside to Moose of Moussa, drives, kicks Martin again, shuffles the feet from beyond the arc, gets down low, looking for Lance Thomas, picked off there and going the other way in a hurry.
Let's get back defensively in transition, however, and we'll see what Orlando can do here is they get.
I got a single that it's no Excuse me.
Ah, and that will be full to have this steel on Jeremiah Martin in that last possession and then, looking to get it down low there, couldn't find the connection on the offense.
Event remains a 10 point lead for the Brooklyn Nets.
My Martin's a guy that I like a guy that I'm keeping an eye on.
I think that he's the kind of player that could find his way onto the roster potentially out of the G league next season.
Nice inside out work from Moussa to cruise to Martin's.
Yes, a lot of time is from the corner on.
That's three ball.
We've seen him miss a number of those along the way here.
He knocks it down.
Great feed from Martin.
The flip up and then from faults will not count the fouls on the floor 37 24.
But again, the fouls are continuing to carry over from the first to second quarter.
Great little drive and dish there from Martin and Lance Thomas.
Toe tap splatter knocks it down from three.
Yeah, Geremi Martin's the kind of guy that I'd rather see on this roster and say that she owes the next year.
If I was going to go one for one, I'd rather see Martin in and she owes out because I just think that he gives you more defensive, obviously, prowess, better size, the upside for him and the way that it can complement it contribute to the roster is a little bit better to me.
I better fit to me.
She owes a driving, kicked the top of the key from Crewe routes to Moussa off the mark on the three rebounded there.
Who's Kourou swiped at that one? Got to be careful.
Nice recovery there.
That was Mr Dante whole coming back from behind. Absolutely.
Just destroying that one there.
And now we're gonna take a bit of a beat here and seals and got a foul cold there.
So the natural athleticism is there for whole.
He's had some ups and downs of foul trouble in the previous game, but here is Lance Thomas stood his ground, tried to drive on the inside and a great help effort from whole hustling back on defense, he now steps aside as we saw a three second violation.
Moussa connects on the charity stripe and now of on coaching up, whole having discussions with him, trying to improve his game.
Will you see him in the playoffs against Toronto? Ah, you know, be interesting. I think.
More than likely, the ship that you'll see is if Allah never got into foul trouble, then the Nets will just go with their small lineup.
We talked about this before, even though Gasol will be a difficult one with his size, not the athleticism, not the biggest concern there.
Ah, Siachen was going to be a nightmare matchup as well.
But within Fleet Lowry there as Moussa hands that one right over to the Orlando defense is if you just wanted to take it right off his hands and they did, uh, that will be interesting to see if they just go small because Van Fleet, Larry afford the ability to do that.
And again, maybe, you know, it will be interesting to see how those matchups come in terms of Revert on.
Then what is she chose a look like in the height friendly match up for him.
Drive and kick from Moussa over two kooks.
Fires back to Moose in the corner.
Try to take his man off the dribble.
Elevates from three off the mark once again slapped away there.
Lance Thomas trying to get involved on that rebound.
But it will stay with be Orlando Magic.
38 24 8 26 mark here in the second quarter.
Now we've been trying to throw somebody's out from time to time.
Let's gauge that poll.
Just go straight question right.
Let's start here with just who When simple is that is it Orlando? Is it Brooklyn and Yes, I chose to say the Nets, and then I chose to say, Orlando, I don't go regional for both.
I pick and choose on that poor little wind down.
Hop on in there if you want to.
As we said, announce it.
I'll blasted out on social media.
I encourage you to come on in here, Devil.
If you're still in on the broadcast, you man of being one of the biggest beneficiaries of this.
The swag will be offered come playoff time.
So if you're a fan of the Nets will offer it up at with some Nets opportunities to get some great items.
If you're a fan of another team, we will supply you with that.
So all of those details will be coming out here over the next handful of days before we get into the start of the playoffs next week.
At which point, by the way, all those broadcast I will be play by play old away.
Every single game wired a wire so we'll get those scheduled on here in advance so that you know when we're going to be going live and I'll be here every step of the way will be doing? Of course.
The podcasts supplemented when Doug and I'll break things down and see what kind of positive takeaways upset victories we could have.
Nobody thinks they're gonna win.
This game is going into the tie.
You guys with the pool come up? Ah, but we will.
Yet we will be covering that.
Obviously, the podcast wrap ups on, then in between here, usually we don't do a ton of on the podcast.
We stay. Ah, very game centric.
Here in between, games will come in and talk about post game press conference.
What? Coach Bowman has to say what some of the big names talk difficulties or areas that they thought they saw some success.
So that'll come along the way as well.
Time out here on the floor as the Nets continue to carry a lead right now, 38 26 7 36 marking the second we take a brief step away here and come back in with continuing coverage of the second quarter.
The Brooklyn Nets down in the bubble, taking on the Orlando Magic and right now, doing so in style, looking for win number five back here.
And so the second quarter action as the Nets connect from deep, moving it here to 41 26.
Excuse me in favor of Brooklyn, so the success continues here on the interior looks no good.
Karubas protects that rebound.
Well, forces up the court kicks the moose.
A moose defines Martin in the corner.
Martin thinks about driving, then pulls back out or recruit.
Swings it around the corner to Moussa Moussa, back to crude.
Stop the key three off front rim, unable to connect.
But again, one of the things that we can talk about here with the Brooklyn Nets and we said it all season long.
It's just it's nice to see the consistency.
That's ball movement.
That's what it's predicated on for them on we've really seen.
In spite of the fact is that Rebound is grabbed by Hall and now moved up the floor to loose a by way of Lance Thomas.
You know, we just seen that as the foul will get cold here on Ah, Marquel folds out front, but it's been, you know, it.
Sorry is I just adjust of.
I mean, it's been nice to see consistency in terms of what the organization is preaching right, And even though you've gone from one head coach to the next, you have a very random cast of characters here.
There's no guarantee that everyone's gonna have continuity.
I think maybe those first couple of games were representative of that.
In spite of getting one of those, one of their four wins, their little spin move on the interior from last Thomas and then coughs it up.
So another turnover there for Brooklyn, 41 26.
It remains as we approach the midway mark of the second quarter, driving up off the mark, but two Nets that is going to be Cruz and Martin could not combine to grab that rebound.
So 14 on the shot clock and the Orlando Magic will have a chance here.
Try to get themselves a little back in this game, trailing by 15 right now and what has been a fairly Nets dominant performance thus far.
Lose a ***** off the elbow short but grabbed there by Orlando.
Nice job flying in to grab that rebound there, then try to find and did get Augustine, who almost lost a man just to regain his handle.
He'll be, well, nice job there.
This one's off the mark.
Rebounded by Orlando, though in the put back will be good.
So some of the rebounding on the defense event, obviously an area that they're suffering in without having Jared Allen out there.
And this is really when you think about that matchup regards of who it is is Martin does a nice job taking his man off the dribble drives into the chest of loose.
Eventually get this one up in off glass, 43 28 Beyond Jared Allen.
You know, Lance Thomas is not that guy.
You're not gonna put him at the center role and have tremendous success as whole Menges to tip this one off the rebound over to Moussa.
That's what you're gonna need, though You're going to get someone like whole who fakes the past, drives the lane and hits the floater.
Nice little touch there from the athletic youngster.
Good instincts there is.
He looked to go to Moussa, but the defense was ready for that and found himself a clean 8 to 10 feet of air space in front of them and utilize it well.
Kickball off the foot here of crew roots and they'll reset side out 45 28 as the advantage remains for Brooklyn at plus 17.
Five minute mark here.
We will take a big, healthy step away over the course of halftime.
When we come back into, the third quarter will go over.
The numbers will talk percentages, and we'll think about the guys that have looked strong here and some that have struggled a little bit.
Hall gets hit with another foul here, unfortunately, and so far going back to the previous game.
That's probably your area of concern for him, But again, he's shown me enough of us in the sample size is to say, love toe, Have this guy down.
The G League working, getting better, getting stronger.
One of them, By the way, I talked about the death earlier.
I didn't mention Nicholas Klaxon.
It'll and I'm not saying that he's going to be an immediate impact player, but he will be on the bench next year, and I would expect him to get some small minute shares as well.
Over the course of the season difference between a young team, let's say the Atlanta Hawks, whatever where you want to just bring everybody out there and let them take their lumps versus a team that has championship aspirations, as we believe the Nets will next season.
As once again, Martin finds a little jumper for himself and continues to put together a solid performance.
Had that little turnover hiccup earlier but outside of that has looked very strong on the offense, event and defensively has kept himself in front of the opposition.
And here we'll get that offensive foul, coal, the nice job there.
That's what I really liked about his game.
And that is why I think he can have a rule weaken, be defensive past that you bring in situation Alley, take on one of the guards of the other team and really irritate them.
And don't be a even though we talk about looking ahead here, Foul called there on the offensive end where Martin gets his leg swept up underneath.
Looks like that was Augustine underneath him.
So Martin will go the line and shoot two, and by the way, with two made free throws, they will extend the Nets lead out to 20 little slap, thereby Augustine.
That was okay and then just kind of got up underneath his back. I don't know the cold.
If he goes to the line here.
Ah, which he does.
I wasn't sure they're gonna call it on the touch foul trying to reach in as he swept around.
Oh, extend your issue.
And now it looks like technical foul will be assessed here.
So Moussa goes to line rattling out, though unfortunately, So Martin is going to now shoot to on that foul, which was in the act of shooting.
Wasn't sure what was happening there.
But Moussa wants the line on that Tech unable to convert.
He's been there twice now and gone one of two.
Martin clean through on his free throw attempt there with one more coming, we turn our attention over to the box score. Friends.
Let's see how Brooklyn now looks here within the dance card off the mark.
There on the 2nd 1 So wanted to for Martin.
Ah, kooks Again.
Now, though, the rebounds He's done that for him.
Ah, not on. Let's speak about offensively.
I've liked his game on the defensive end state in front of his sit in front of his man.
Right now, Blue ceviche has whole on his back battling.
But from deep the connection is made, and that will pull it to a 48 32 scoreline here.
And we'll take a look real quick here as Martin Goetz.
Sorry, that's life Thomas that gets inside there and has that look go.
He'll go to the long with an opportunity at a three point play.
That was and is the third knocked down that deep three bowl there on the last possession for Orlando and 51 32 19 point advantage.
Inside the numbers.
We go as we were saying, Let's talk about Martin here for a minute in nine minutes of action.
He's three of three from the field.
He has converted on one of his two free throw attempts, knocked down his only three point shot as well, giving you two rebounds to go along with two assists and just with one turnover and one personal foul.
So eight points for him.
It's been a nice game for him so far, and right now, in terms of this team, Moussa has been on the floor for this big extension of the Leedy is plus 19 foul call inside here, going against the Nets will take a look and see.
I believe it's going to be whole again picking this up, and this is again.
We're youth just needs time to get experience because that will be found under three for him.
And so far, 10 minutes, giving you three rebounds as come what you blocks as well.
But as a turnover and now the third personal foul, unlike in the other game, wouldn't be surprised.
Maybe if ah, Jacque Vaughn just says, Go ahead and play this out because you old alternate Lance Thomas will turn to Karube.
Um, I don't know who else to turn to after that, but really, there's no protecting him at this point.
And right now they continue to run out this large line up with Thomas Coo roots Moussa Thomas.
Ah, and then haul.
With Martin learning a point for them.
It's interesting and different look, And you know, in some ways this is an opportunity again for John alone in this game.
Just so look at what are some other combinations along the way.
In a seven game series upcoming against the Toronto Raptors, you may need to look to spell liver and Harris and Alan.
And how are you going to do that? One of the big this one of the big questions for them is How are you going to spell those guys and give them a chance to get a little bit of rest in these couple of pockets and at least tread water against the opposition's? That's what you're seeing here. To me.
This is saying, Hey, we understand what Lance Thomas doesn't give us offensively, but what does he give us? Defence Sidley as, Ah, the Nets.
Turnout 53 34 as we approach 3.
5 to play here in the first half, and this is a great defensive line up in a lot of ways.
You like Martin.
You know the Thomases primarily gonna do defensive work for you.
Foul called here against Moussa look like he had a pocket picked there for Vucevic's, but instead the foul coal will go against him.
I'm not getting the bonus, though.
Is Orlando so a nice job here, just in terms of balancing things out? We can look inside that box, score one more time and see the Nets or seven attended the line 11 or 12 for the Magic.
So much better job by the Nets in the second quarter, avoiding shooting fouls as folks goes up and under with a pretty reverse lay up there.
In spite of some personal foul issues around hole, it's a good job avoiding sending Orlando to the line for free trips.
Moussa fights through many bodies with faults in toe, kicks back outside.
The Martin takes on the three.
Now gets it over the whole whole.
The reverse lay up is good.
Nice job by whole gathered and got underneath.
Avoided boost ceviche.
And put that one through remains a 19 point lead as we come upon to 45 now blue ceviche into the lane.
Little floater won't go off the mark.
Kuhr UC's lance time is combined to gather that rebound.
Then and now, over to Mark Martin will have to switch against Vucevic's.
This one gets tipped away by boost.
Eventual will stay with possession for the Brooklyn Nets. Time out.
It looks like I believe for Orlando, and we will step aside of the to 31 mark.
So beyond that, the shooting numbers overall ugly for the Orlando Magic just 28% from the field, 30 from deep, 11 12 at the line.
They have eight turnovers.
Had five in the 1st 3 in the second.
So good balance there for the Nets.
Five in the first.
Just to so sorry.
Ah, three in the first and four so far in the second.
So they've gotten better on the fouling side of things not so strong in protecting the basketball, but 51% from the floor and eight of 11 from beyond the arc.
Adam eight of 21 good for 38% from beyond the arc.
Doing a nice job there as well, checking in over on Twitter.
As we often like to dio, Let's just take a little peek and see if there's any Doug Nuggets on the line now the last one that we had from Doug Nori.
Unfortunately, he's doing a lot of nb a work over these last handful of days.
Waas this little Doug Nugget remember, when at Adam are Brecht Yours truly, uh, thought the Nets would be terrible in the bubble, but Doug Nori saw good things coming.
That's a joke, Friends.
It wasn't the podcast.
I've been screaming positivity.
I called for a 500 record for them.
They've obviously already achieved that goal.
So I like what we've seen from that standpoint.
And now it's about what? What else can you do to move the needle on how this organization feels about some of the supporting cast around your superstars going into next year? Let's talk notes around these two teams if we can.
We mentioned the matchups.
We mentioned having its have looked from deep in their win, so good signs there as they're shooting a solid three point percentage so far in this one.
Orlando has lost four straight games, one shy of their longest losing streak of the season, which was five back in January at in January, there from the 22nd to the first.
Orlando scored 130 points per game in their 1st 2 games and the bubble both winds but have averaged just 107 per game in their four losses.
Obviously, without Aaron Gordon, that has an impact.
Let's take a real quick look here, you know, and not that there was big expectations.
You know the deal wasn't gonna play.
Ah, But when you think back to the standings and I'm just curious, injuries obviously hit Orlando here.
Ah, as you know, the Wizards.
Oh, around behind the Hornets, As a matter of fact, the Wizard or 7.
5 games back, maybe seven, following this one if Orlando were to lose as we come upon the final two minutes here the first half and Morton on the ball works inside lane while a nice little push floater.
They're just off the outside of the foul of the paint.
And officially, a 21 point lead, now 57 36 as we have the final two minutes about to commence Foltz from about the same spot is Martin.
Jumper won't go, though.
Moussa gathers that rebound and the other way we go cross court to Kukes groups.
Euro steps through, kicks it out to Lance Thomas.
He drives the baseline, drops off the whole hall into the lane, back outside to Martin Martin O off the mark on the three, but again tremendous movements, worked it all the way around in and out of the paint and found the solid look coast to coast for the most bucket for Orlando.
There, Nice game in transition.
The 1957 38 Still strong advantage for your Brooklyn Nets.
There's a world where, if, say, Bradley Beal had played as muscle, pulls it back outside and then kicks it out to the corner.
Now the wing, Where When's Thomas is off the mark and boost ceviche taps this one over the Augustine who bounce pass is a bit of a dribble bounce over there.
A couple of chances to get across court now, top of the key to Vucevic's off the mark on the three ah, shot that would have gotten them back within 16.
And even though that may seem like a big number when you've been losing by as many as 21 getting down to 15 or 14 before half would be an achievement.
At least give you something to shoot for there in the second half of this one.
Martin off the mark in the lane as he floats through in the little floating jump shot, won't go Augustine on the ball.
Now, Lance Thomas on the mismatch hole back up there against Bruce Ceviche.
Good cross court and swing into the corner, rattling up, out and down.
A nice shot there for Ennis.
Who knocks that.
I think it's 2nd 3rd 3 pointer of the game so far, and it is now a 16 point advantage.
Good work there from Martin takes his man off the dribble.
Shields protects the ball up off glass.
59 41 18 point lead.
As we have in each second shot clock.
Two game clock difference.
The Nets could get one more possession here, depending on what happens in this sequence.
Folds drives in against Lance.
Thomas gets it tipped away.
There's he looks for Vucevic's.
Martin acted with his hands, and then Moussa driving probably could have bounced past off to Martin and rewarded for the defensive efforts.
Instead, he'll get fouls and we'll go to the line shooting, too.
67 for Martin wanted to from Deep wanted to with the line two rebounds to re assist one steel.
Just the one turnover and 12 points.
Moussa, uh, crack that front room and then bounces that one hard back to the ref.
In a little bit of frustration there, Moussa, who is one of ER, is important for him before the break, which he does so solid there.
He'll move to four of seven so far, and Orlando look to get the last shot.
Trailing by 19 can get it down to 16 potentially, which again, I think 14 14 13 points would have felt okay for them.
Instead, the foul call here on the runner for Fults.
He'll go to the line and shoot two with 3.4.
And that may be whole, picking up what would be his fourth foul of the contest.
So his struggles continue over the last couple of games to avoid foul issues.
We'll wait and see if it's officially on him.
It's the first and, by the way, discarded right discarded from the Philadelphia 76 ers cast aside.
And yet Marquel Foltz has played 13 minutes, only to attend and over two from from beyond the arc.
I thought Marquel Foods and a better game than ah, is that so sorry? I was gonna make a eloquent point about how Mark Marquel folks any has.
He has done a better job for himself down in Orlando, but in this one with just now for ah, three turnovers just seven points along the way.
Mid court shot full, or Barton little bit quick there, look like he could have fired out there to the wing and got it over the Lusa, who was standing wide open.
Don't know the word of enough time.
17 point advantage.
60 to 43 in favor of your Brooklyn Nets. Take a breed.
Grab a beverage will come back in and do the second half action as we go wired a wire on the Brooklyn Nets in the bubble, taking on the Orlando Magic looking for win number five.
Welcome you back in as we prepare to head into the second half, but I thank you over to coach a coach.
Thank you for doing the broadcast.
Thank you for the tip.
This is, of course, game number seven in the bubble for the Brooklyn Nets.
They are up against a injury depleted, partially depleted early.
Now this is a game that means nothing to either squad in terms of seeding.
But as we've seen in other games, it really doesn't matter for the Brooklyn Nets, and that includes the blowout loss to the Boston Celtics that game was also important, the relative to what they want to accomplish, which is just continue to get better.
So we've seen a couple of those along the way.
But listen, they lost the first game against Orlando when things started off, and that's all right.
They've turned it around tremendously here and find themselves comfortable comfortably in the lead.
Down in the bubble in Orlando.
Take a look here and see if we are about to get back underway in the action.
Another fun one that we could take a
