Feel Saiful take a bit of knowledge.
If you're just joining in, give me a second here.
I think I actually closed everything out.
Uh, total total bomb there on the first attempt here for the show tonight, man, What a waste of an effort that was talking about Vince Velazquez and that total train wreck of what he is doing so far.
Um, not my best stuff for my apologies to anybody.
We're gonna wait to see if anybody joins back in here.
I was given that my best shot.
There been a long day.
It's been a long week.
Yeah, not like best effort.
My apologies for anybody that was watching and lost Lost that there, Bringing up everything else that I need on the screen right now, as we, uh, get this back going here.
All right, So Anyway, as I was talking, um, Philly's Vince Velasquez not a great effort as I was talking right before I accidentally cut it off there.
You know, you have four relief pitchers pitched in game one.
There a raise were 5.
Oh, you're not you're not winning any games as a ah, as a team when they're your when your best relief pitcher as a 5.
For ah, the game, it's just not good.
Um, outside of that, outside of Mr Velasquez is deceiving numbers.
It looked like if you look at his box score that he did pitch of that bad today was a seven any, you know, double header game, which I'm still not okay with seven inning games.
It's just weird.
Um, it just doesn't just doesn't It's not baseball. I'm okay.
I can accept the designated hitter for this short season.
I can accept the the extra, you know, playoff teams.
I can accept those things.
I cannot accept the Ah 17 double header games.
It's just not right.
Um, thanks for joining the broadcast.
Appreciate it, trying to get everybody on here.
If anybody wants to join in and talk with me, just let me know in the comments section, or, if you have any questions, let me know.
I'll try to address them, but anyway, so Game one was obviously a rough 52 loss there for the Phillies against the Braves.
But Game two is the game we really cared about today.
Game two is where Spencer Howard, the Phillies number two prospect.
But in my opinion, because pitching it's such a premium in Major league baseball, it was it was really the game to look forward to today.
It was a game I've been looking forward to since last year.
I've been ready for Spencer Howard to make his debut.
I think he's been ready for us for a pretty good period of time to make that debut.
And they waited till today.
The second part of the doubleheader.
Um, he hasn't pitched in spring training.
Um, the numbers look worse than Vince Velasquez is debut.
I mean, he went four and 2/3 innings.
Spencer Howard gave up seven hits. He walked the batter.
He gave up four runs and struck out four batters through 81 pitches.
Paper. That does not look good.
Um, but when you're thrown a picture out there in his major league debut, a 24 year old kid knowing that the offense is not clicking at all at the pictures have to press.
They have to get every out.
They can't give up a single run.
There's issues, and that's a lot of pressure to put on a pitcher, knowing that he's only got about 85 pitches to go.
If he pitches perfectly today, the bullpen is gonna come in and most likely blow the game again.
I mean, we had two more pictures in the second game telling you, Davis, they're er is at this point in the season, 10.
88 On top of the fact that three of the four pictures in the first game had over 10 year raise and the only good picture today in E.
Wise out of the bullpen had a five point, you know, plus e R.
You know Spencer Howard was forced to press big time.
Um, not what you want to see for a young guy.
He got out of a jam in the first inning.
The second inning, he was lights out.
He gave up a home run the second inning.
I believe that was the Freddie Freeman.
I'm almost positive that was to Freddie for yet Freddie Freeman, who I pretty much guarantee nine out of 10 Phillies pitchers have given up a home run to Freddie Freeman at some point in their career.
Um, it's just even guys that played 20 years ago.
It feels like giving up a home run to Freddie Freeman.
Um, it's just the way it is.
So I'm not going to get down on Spencer Howard, um, losing his first outing.
It's not like it's Vince Velasquez has been around for four years now and ****ed in the 4.
8 to 5 point whatever array for his career.
No, Velasquez. We know who he is.
He's not that good of a picture.
He's a very inconsistent picture that will occasionally threw up some good numbers.
Um, when he's on his game, he's striking out batters, but he just doesn't put people away.
His pace is super. So's.
I can't understand why no one's gotten into his head toe pick up his pace.
That would make a huge difference.
That's that now.
I think we got a touch on the Phillies offense, but Philly's offense is just not consistent at all at this point.
Um, after Game two in Game one and Game two, we've scored scored a combined two runs.
Not good, not good at all.
McCutchen drove in both runs in Game one game to nothing.
You got Reese Hoskins, who after two ST two hits in the first in the second game, it's God's average up to 1 72 I know the guys walking.
I know he's an on base percentage of 4 29 The guy just can't hit the ball.
He has literally zero confidence right now when he's at the plate, and I don't understand why Girardi keeps throwing amount there.
He's at the point now.
I saw stat somewhere online earlier today that since the All Star break the last season, it's close to 262 170 at bats.
He is somewhere in the neighborhood of a buck 50 hitting That's not good.
That's not like a small little stretch that he's struggling in.
That is no a consistent, you know, proof that he's in a major slump, somebody most likely last year.
Gabe Kapler and company got into his head with the whole, you know, launch angle on all those kind of, you know, statistical ****ysis numbers ruined his swing.
This guy was poised for a 40 home run 120 r B I type, you know, average season career in a career season, you know, average.
And now I mean, there's there's nothing to him.
I mean, he's on the breaking point of completely like losing his career and Joe Girardi and company.
They really need to sit him down.
I know we're only in a 60 game season where 10 games into it.
So we're were were in the back half of the season already, and we don't have time.
Teoh, get out of the slumps here.
You know Phil Gosselin Complete first space.
Jay Bruce could play first base, even J T Realmuto.
You don't want him at first base, but he could.
And you know my personal opinion.
Yeah, I'll say it over and over again.
Alec Boom is ready, just like Spencer Howard is.
You know, this is a special, weird season that we're playing in baseball.
It's time for them to just bring up spent Alec Bone.
Let him play first base if they need to, or put him 1/3 base.
Put Jr Jean Segura first base.
Rearrange that infield and get him in the lineup because Hoskins just doesn't have it right now.
I understand you like those walks, and he's like, right up there in the league league with walks, even in our, you know, minimum Brazier.
What 17 games played where 10 games played.
Well, I know Hoskins is still leading the league or right up there in the league league and, uh, walks, but it's it's timeto consider moving on from him in that team to whole right now.
And if you're not gonna Ben Trees Hoskins, you might as well at least take him out at two whole.
Take the pressure off of them, put in the seven, hold the eight hole where there's a lot less pressure on him, and maybe he might not be pressing as much.
In the first game, one of those his first at bat, he got up.
He was down to O. R.
He was up to a with me in the at bat.
He took a breaking ball literally, smack, dab, overplayed, a pitch that in past before his slump you to put in the upper deck.
But he took the pitch.
Next pitch you found off next pitch right down the middle of plate, literally a pitch that anybody could have hit that's in the major leagues, and he popped it up into the shallow left field.
It's just it's just not good.
Um, and he really either needs a new voice in his head.
He needs to get out of his own head, and he really needs to figure those things out.
Um, outside that I mean the Phillies offense.
I mean, Andrew McCutchen.
I said it before the season started.
I said it before the season got stopped for Cove it that not to expect a lot out of him, because, I mean, he's coming off of a C L surgery is 33 34 years old.
You can't expect him to come back instantly.
And his number show he's Ah, 133 average.
At least Hoskins is getting on base with walks.
I mean, McCutcheon's on base percentages.
206 He's slugging 1 67 I mean, McCutchen, you could just tell there's something not right there.
Adam Hazel. He's hitting the ball.
Well, if you're gonna platoon hazily Bruce and a rooming Quinn in the office demise will admit coaching to that.
For now, let him get a little bit more eased back into things you might want to see Heasley in left field.
Quinn in center field one day, Bruce in left field.
Hazily, you got to give a little bit of, ah, breathing room to Andrew McCutchen.
I know he was the key to the team last year, you know, and that leadoff spot before he went down.
But it's just not working right now.
They were really gotta work on that.
All right, so Phillies frustrating to be there four and six, you know, it is what it is with them.
It's a short short season.
We've got a lot of games coming up over the next couple weeks.
I mean, I mean, we're playing something like it feels like 30 games the next 10 days.
I mean, we've got so many doubleheaders coming up so much going on, Um, but, you know, it is what it is with this short season we got We got a land again on Monday night, but then we got Baltimore, New York, Boston, Toronto.
We've got some winning winnable games before you see Atlanta again on the 21st of August.
And with our pitching staff Nola Wheeler, I know I bash, eh? Flynn and I know I Bash Velasquez area That looks really good on Saturday night.
Thanks for following me. They're Super Sam.
I appreciate it.
Got any comments, questions about the Phillies or attacks on the Flyers and Sixers shortly? And obviously the PGA Championship was something that I want some money on today.
Um, we'll get back to that, all of it in a bitten off.
But with the Phillies, they've got some games coming up that they can win.
Their pitching is not bad.
It's just up to their bullpen to not below it, and J t.
He's playing out of his mind.
Bryce Harper's playing pretty silently.
So far, Jay Bruce is hitting the ball for a bit.
Didi Gregorius proving to be a huge signing.
They have the opportunities there to win some games here while they play some of the lesser teams that they're going up in the short season.
So it's up to the bullpen toe hold their own.
It's up to Joe Girardi to really be the key there, because that's really what the problem is right now is the bullpen and Joe Girardi's using guys he's using what guys he has.
I've seen somewhere that Victor Rano will be Ah, coming off the d l shortly and he hasn't pitched in a while.
But, I mean, what is he really gonna dio? So I mean, we're 10 games into the season on our best pitcher. Hector.
Nurse has only pitched in three games so far.
So that really says a lot about the bullpen, cause we're behind a lot right now, so the offense keeps clicking, keeps getting better.
Girardi twin tinkers with the line up a little bit better, the starting pitching and keeps pitching.
Well, I think we're in a good spot.
It's just up to the bullpen.
He's really gotta figure something out.
They got some young arms in that camp in Lehi, that taxi squad in all, it's time to switch some things up.
I don't want to ever see Cole Irwin daily. Sorrento's.
I don't want to see any of these guys, you know.
You know Morgan, he's got a higher.
Yeah, but he's when I can't.
He's okay, but correra, You know some of these guys that that they're thrown out there, they're just just terrible.
They don't belong.
The big League club. So it's really up to the Phillies organization.
This bullpen really comes down to Klentak and John Milton to are not spending the money improve this bullpen.
Tommy Hunter, Adam Morgan, Jose Alvarez and, ultimately, Victor Rana.
When he comes back, that's your key bullpen right there.
But it's just not good enough just yet, So they really got to do something there.
So we're not gonna talk about the Phillies much anymore.
We're gonna close out those tabs on my thing.
We're gonna touch on the Sixers next.
You know, six displayed the Blazers tonight.
You know, they were three along, coming to the night in the bubble.
We all know that.
You know, Ben Simmons is pretty much done for the year.
Um, it's basically the end of ah, you know, Hiss season.
Hopefully, it does not mean that their season's over, and hopefully it does not mean that Ah, they give Ben Brett Brown another year at the helm because, no, he didn't have his full team for the playoffs.
Went down tonight.
I'm trying to search Twitter right now to see if there's any news from the press conference.
Sixers coach Brett Brown.
Injury job. Eve.
I'm going to learn more.
I don't know enough to comment at this moment.
So basically, there's nothing.
Jobim debt went down with an ankle injury.
Hey, thanks for joining hockey guy.
We're getting to.
The Flyers are very shortly.
We're talking six years now.
We already talked. Phillies.
Um, John B went down ankle injury.
Didn't seem to too serious.
But with six years history of being extra conservative, I would not expect to see him much in the Lex three bubble games.
But that doesn't mean that we can't win the games.
And I have gotten into some arguments tonight with some people on Twitter and on social media, A big toe device.
I think Tobias Harris is this teams Chris Bosch.
I know he didn't have a great team.
They shot 7 to 19 from the field, scored 16 points, seven rebounds, three says he was my seven from, you know, plus minus.
It wasn't his best game, but he is the silent leader of this team.
He's the guy that can hold this team together Offensively.
There's a reason he got a max contract.
Even if the Sixers didn't give him that Max contract, someone else would have.
Sorry, I'm parched.
I needed a drink there.
Um, Tobias Harris can be that guy, that side leader that knows his role.
Sometimes it's gonna go out there.
He's going to give you, you know, 30 points, some nights, some nights when Joe and Bebe, Ben Simmons or whoever else the other big guys on this team, he's going to step back.
He's gonna do his thing, it's gonna get his shots.
I mean, he's a very, very important part of this team, and I don't regret that.
I obviously regret the contract out.
Horford Al Horford tonight.
15 points in 22 minutes.
John be going down.
We paid out Horford for one reason to be the backup. T.
Went down, Al Horford supposed to step up and make the difference that that that's why he's making $100 million over the next four years or whatever it is.
I know Josh Richardson is taking a beating from Sixers fans in the last couple of weeks, months all year, but he stepped up tonight, put 34 points on the game.
There's no way we keep this a three point game.
We lost 1 24 to 1 29 1 21 to the Portland Trail Blazers, who had, you know they had C.
They had Damian Lillard, probably one of the most underappreciated point guards.
Only Carmelo Anthony put up some numbers tonight, still in his, ah, older age.
Ah, but you know, just Richardson really stepped up his games, and I showed why we got him in that deal with, you know, Miami For Jimmy Butler.
There was a point where he was the the main Kagame at Miami Heat offense last year.
That took them to the playoffs.
So he's got it in his system toe.
To be a leader, to be a score, to be everything that he needs to be just on a team.
When you have been Simmons John B.
You know Tobias Harris.
There's only so many shots and go around, so sometimes he forces all of it.
But once those two guys are out of line up, you see, he led the team in minutes 38 minutes.
He shot 13 of 20 from the field.
He shot 60% from three tonight.
Had five rebounds, six assists.
It was a really solid outing for him.
He really stepped up his game looking at the rest of the box score from tonight.
With all those guys missing, you know, least prepare me to slight adjustment.
Give a lot of minutes toe Alec Burkes, who put up 20 points.
He looked really good.
Glenn Robinson got 17 minutes.
Didn't really get many points.
But you know he's noticing that Randall Netto Furqan Court mas there.
Not the way to G 33 minutes for Titan Amendment's Teibel.
That's a bit much for me. Only put up two points.
Got nine rebounds.
I got three steals and a block, which is really good for him.
Um, but thanks for the tip.
Their hockey, I promise.
I'm gonna talk flyers for, like, literally 30 seconds.
I promise I'll get there.
Um, the six year season's not over the Sixers.
As long as John Bebe is healthy enough for the playoffs, Sixers will not just lose every game the rest of the bubble just because of Beaven.
Simmons aren't there? It's gonna come down to the rest of guys that they're paying big money to, that they expected to be there to step up, um, to make that difference.
I think I know they can.
It's all I've said it before I said it on.
Ah, the Scotty Talk sports YouTube show This team will go a Sfar as they dio despite bread brown bread.
Brown needs to go no matter what happens.
But they could still go far, even despite Brett Brown, because there's so much talent on this team, so we'll see what happens.
I'm still hoping to see something on my Twitter feed here as we're talking, um, to see what You know what they happen to say about, Ah, you know John Beaven going even type in here, you know, search here, see what comes up here.
I really like to know more information while I'm on the on here, but ah, at this moment doesn't look like much is coming up other than he's hurt.
Yeah, nothing really. Here.
It doesn't really know.
Josh Richardson was quoted after the game saying that he does not believe the injury is serious.
Kind of nervous, but hoping it's not too bad breath.
Brown obviously said what he said, but you know, all said and done, The team is not done.
The season's not done.
They're not good enough to go really deep in the playoffs.
That's obvious, but there's still good enough to make it into the second round.
They're not gonna lose in that first round, in my opinion, depending on the matchups and all. But we'll see.
That would be a really rough conversation on here if they dio.
But that's that.
Next, what's Ah, let's touch on the Flyers for just 1/2 a second.
You know, I promised I would touch on the Flyers, but ah, you know, I don't I got disconnected earlier.
So all my cabs I had up or not there, um So flyers last night beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, Um, card your heart.
A phenomenal outing against what most reporters said was the best team in the Eastern Conference given forming a one goal on the power play, which was my fault because I tweeted out after they went for their eighth straight penalty kill.
They were going on their ninth penalty, I think his seventh or going on their eighth or eight going on nine.
I put out there, I said, flat out.
There's no that this amazing Watching them go just shows so much ice in the veins of these young kids. Carter heart.
You know, all the defense, All the players on the team there, 24 younger that they can go eight for eight killing penalties.
And then they give up the family just like that.
You know, Penn, our penalty are a shorthand that losing my train of thought here.
They gave up that goal on while they were shorthanded there, but anyway, still great job.
The locked up the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, they are poised are gonna play Montreal.
I believe it is more was Montreal or whoever they're playing.
Let's see if we have that official numbers here.
Let's Yeah, the Flyers airplane. Montreal.
Yeah, that's Ah, that's how that's going in the first round of the plenty official first round, in my opinion, the playoffs.
Now some of those other teams were eliminated.
Um, Carter, how it's got ice in his veins.
He's done a great job in the short, you know, bubble round Robin.
Whatever you wanna call it? Um, prove Ralph.
Um, you know, Konecki ghost despair.
I mean, has played rate on some of our main guys that you expect the board, the Jerusalem could he airs Sean criteria.
I'm really struggling here at this point.
The night on a on a Sunday night, almost 10 o'clock, struggling with the names.
Some of our best players haven't scored a goal in those three games.
That says a lot right there.
So we're good to go.
I wouldn't I'm not worried it all about the flyers at this point.
Um, fires are poised to make a deep run, and that's all I got to say that because otherwise I'm gonna butcher more flyers names at this point.
But if you stay tuned for a Scotty talks sports YouTube show, we will definitely touch deeper in that.
Maybe I just needed a drink to clear my throat.
So we're gonna touch on the P G. A championship.
Finally, today was the first major of the year for golf for the PGA Tour.
It wasn't supposed to be the first major of the year, but that's what it was, anyway.
Um, Colin Martin, Colin Morikawa won his first major.
23 year old kid.
I was one of two guys I picked a win it.
My main pick, uh, Bryce and D Shambo.
Muscles finished tied for fourth at minus 10.
Common Mark Mark our finished mind starting to work in the event.
It was an amazing display of golf from him shooting six under in the final round to win that event.
He was going up against some major vets and Paul Casey, Dustin Johnson, Tony Female, Jason, Jason Day, Justin Rose.
These were all guys that were right there.
Patrick Reed Even entering the day, Um, and he was able toe put them all down.
No problem whatsoever.
He made an eagle on.
I believe it was the 16 told a short part for Yeah, it was 16th hole.
Did a great job there.

I jumped on the fantasy golf, you know, bandwagon Right away I took what I knew from fantasy football.
