Welcome into the sports guy Mike Show KCB are 98 5 95 7 a.

Got my Chris brain.
What's up, buddy? Hey, man, what's going down? Like the hat.
You like that? Yeah, I can actually read it.
That's where a lot of people make mistakes when they get logoed stuff, right? Yeah. Read it.
What's that say? Hey, what is that? What is that? What is that? Is that we're low guy.
I know, actually, What's funny is look at that.
You're a caricature of yourself.
Actually, nobody is going to promote you better than you.
I even have a black one with steel colors.
So should I May 1 with my name on it.
Since I don't have a fancy nickname, you should just get one that says Chris brain live on it.
Or I could do my nickname I had in college Park your It'll your It'll is that, like to do a turtle? Yeah.
Yertle the turtle, you know, like right king with a pond.
It was a quiet little pond.
It was a neat It's a red hot chili peppers, right? And ah, yeah, I got that in college.
And it's funny because people outside of my see you boys have tried calling me that and they get slapped.
No, I I want to know when someone yells that to me from the crowd.
What group of friends that's coming from and always know.
It's my boys from up in the hill, right? Well, we're going to talk about your your competitor.
Well, really, your competitors.
But you know, your boys here in Colorado, there's some stuff going on at CSU, actually, that we'll talk about later. I rely competitors.
We don't write against them unless we play them right, which, you know, starting to become an issue.
Like I mean, even Michigan came out with their with their schedule, and there's not gonna be a Michigan no issue game this year.
We'll know so dumb that I mean target.
I gotta be honest with you.
Like I am exhausted of this.
Everything of Oliver, like all of it, dude, like, dude, I think you know this about me, I might drag my feet.
But once I make a decision, it's on.
Let's do it right Then I will check Trudge 100% head down into what I'm doing.
Then if I have to correct course, I'll do it right.
But like, Dude, come on now, man, kind of on.
I know it's crazy.
Well, training camp is open.
NFL fans across country are wondering whether they'll be able to attend the game.
So there's a couple, you know.
Obviously, every team has got their own deal, and I was looking through this this morning over on ESPN, and the capacity of some of these stadiums is just mind blowing like the like.
Energy stadium hopes 72,000 people, and they're not.
I mean, as of right now, says the Texas have not announced a plan for fan attendance.
But according to their team website, if there are fans at games, energies, capacity will be re to reduced to approximately 14,000 seats.
Speaking of the Texans, Brandon Morales, in the house, What's up, buddy? All right, what's going on now? You're doing good.
We're just talking about you know, this.
This is a big deal.
I mean, you're talking about 72,000 people at NRG that it holds anyway, 72,220 to be exact.
And there were the website over at the Texans website says if there's going to be any seeding, they're only gonna hold 14,000 seats, and the 1st 8 rows of the lower level will not be sold.
So I know Ah, the governor over there is allowing a 50% capacity at stadiums in the state, in the state, that's not 50%.
That's considerably less so.
You know, there's a lot of teams that are, you know, trying to abide by what's going on in their state and all that stuff.
I mean, even if I'm sorry in power field Ammo said my in power Fiat, we I stop with that, empower things like way.
Chris, can I tell you, since I've lived here in the beautiful state of Colorado, 10 since 2000 I've been here for 20 years, and I left for about five years.
What came back but my point being this stadium is at more names in 20 years of me being here.
Well, I've always called it my high.
All of those companies are now defunct.
Power will be going bankrupt here within the next five years.
Is this many investments? Stay away from Jo, Alice.
And so is there some kind of bad juju hanging over? Yes, because my honey mile high cause we paid for that.
We paid for that.
That's taxpayer dollars.
I voted for that arriving in Denver at the time I paid for Coors Field.
Which course fields Cool.
Brian, I paid for Mile High Stadium.
So yes, there is bad juju because this is B s.
We own it during my high and maybe like Mile High Stadium.
Pat Bowlen field something like that.
I mean, right on it.
We already paid for.
So it was a crappy deal.
I don't know if you thought they didn't get it yet.
Oh, I know So between your place branded.
And then, of course, Ah, mile high.
Always hold two TB exact.
Broncos president CEO Joe Ellis said this past week that no decision had been made if the Broncos would have a limited number of fans at their home games or no fans but that the decision would be made in conjunction with both local and state officials.
So what's good? Like, are we gonna have to just sit here and continue toe? Wait, don't you think that's kind of crappy that were there, These guys air in camp.
The season, in my estimation, is has started there a training camp they're working out.
Is this crappy that we still don't know whether when or if we're ever going to be able to even step foot in any of these stadium CB? You know, the funny thing is, is that, um the Broncos Air still holding on to all of our season ticket money.
We haven't gotten anything.
They haven't said We're gonna have fans and they haven't done anything.
And even people that put in for refunds haven't gotten any money back.
So here's the thing I was like, Why don't we think outside of the box? Because my eye is huge.
Instead of trying to fill 14,000 like they're trying to do down in Houston, why don't we put this out to highest bidders and people that work together or are together all the time? like family and lease something like that.
Hey, let's bid on a section.
You get the whole section you can together all the time, right? You have you.
When you go to the gym and stuff you can like, be with your wife and be with your family.
I go to restaurants, like why don't we do that? Why don't Why doesn't the NFL think outside of the box? Plus, we have a 1,000,000 of 1,000,000 boxes to fill up.
So those are already corporations, people around each other.
Let's let's think outside of the box.
This is just ludicrous that they can't figure out a way to get somebody in the stadium.
And if they only get 10,000 But all the sections air full and you get X amount, it might be 10 grand for a second.
I don't know why you something like that.
This is just stupid that they can't figure it out.
And I've already got, like, 50,000 ideas that would fit within the CDC guidelines.
Right, Fran? And what about you? I think look, it comes down to this.
I think what we gotta do is really look back now, is the time.
We're never gonna eventually gonna move on from all this chaos that we're in right now to But these owners have to start thinking about extra ways to make it money.
Look, the MBA bubbles been a good idea for it for a while and also to you.
Look at baseball stadiums being empty and you look at the tarps, that air covering all the seats out there, the sponsors air taking over now.
So you can't tell me that they're not making money by putting up virtual fans.
And I saw on one of the goals on the N B A.
I consider the bubble there.
So watch company is paying him a lot.
This bunch ship, they're getting logos on the court to right now.
So, honestly, an extra way to do this is to do exactly what the NFL is doing with allowing players to opt out.
And players want to opt out and forego this 2020 season to protect their family it.
So be it. Looking fans want to go to the game.
It comes down to fans paying the money to go to the ball game.
They could always work out and have ushers say, Look, this is considered six feet apart.
Have ropes have different things that are set up, you know, out there.
And let's let let's let fans get back to some type of normalcy to go to the games.
I was talking to my dad yesterday and I said, Well, look, if it's 50% and we're talking about sporting events, you haven't waive that rule since.
Almost what Almost April 1st April 5th somewhere and there You never went back on it.
Yeah, you scaled back on restaurants.
But look, man, people want to go to games to take a family four.
Then that's fine.
The family sits together, and then, like I said, the next road down or few rows down, let people get back to normal.
And let's let people we'll make choices, don't go into games.
They can still wear the mask and take them off when they're eating beverages or food I have.
This is ludicrous the way that people can talk about it one way.
Yet we have nothing in action or no plans in place to see what the next steps are gonna be, and I'm really kind of frustrated by its own.
If the NFL look, if the Texans want to do 15,000 that's 15,000 fans in the stadium that would otherwise not have if you didn't allow anybody through the door, so I don't understand.
Some money is better than no money and I'll tell you, Look, it's it's Ah, get to the point now where it's okay.
Well, now we're back.
We got action straight watching on TV.
But the protocol that's missing is the fans.
Yeah, look at Heinz Field is 68,400 seats to be exact.
Steelers air Planning toe have a limited number of fans and hunch field.
But that reduced capacity hasn't been determined thus far.
Not yet now fans who purchased single game tickets to games this season.
This is what's messed up thoroughly through.
Ticketmaster and other third party websites were recently informed their transactions had been canceled and refunded, leaving season ticket holders with the best chance of seeing a game in person at Heinz Field.
Look, I told you guys there is an algorithm that apparently movie theaters are going to be using where a group of people purchase a bunch of tickets, and then they block out enough seats around him.
Why can't NFL teams do that within their stadiums? Sounds right to me.
A group of 20 like Kerr said, pay for all these tickets.
Now you gotta square out.
Six feet or whatever you want to do around that group of people and just keep selling tickets that way and somehow find the semblance of getting to that 50% capacity here in Colorado.
That's where we're at.
We're at 50% or 100 people now.
Obviously, the stadiums, they're going to be different with that.
But, I mean, you can't tell me that somebody some I hate to use this word, but some computer nerd come to these NFL franchise and go a check it out.
Guys, I got the perfect thing for you guys to sell tickets and keep it just under 50% capacity.
You can't tell me that there's nobody out there that's thinking about if they're doing it for ****ytics, for baseball.
And, like I said, the things that we used to sit there and you know so they're played the shift.
And like I said, We're guys pull workouts at the opposite field and we're in a position.
Guys to play defense.
You can't tell me there's not a computer nerd.
Is it out there? And, like you said, sell tickets and get a certain percentage of fans and to sit in it in certain sections.
And my thing is, look, make it would make it all one ticket price.
Have all these different levels and stuff like that let people come in for I don't know, whatever your urine, a charge there for the different seats.
And honestly, man, look, the fans that may never have had a chance to sit down low.
Look, due to the cir***stances right now, don't make him buy seats in the upper deck.
Give him some seats down in the lower bowl. Let him pay.
Like I said, fair prices for it.
Let families go and have a good time.
Look, maybe I'm a season ticket nerd because I don't.
I need first dibs I've been put my money on.
You know, I agree with that.
I'm just saying otherwise, right? Yeah, that part.
Chris, I'm okay with you guys.
They're season ticket holders.
You should first.
Yeah, but I think re funding all these guys monies.
Oh, that it bought tickets to go see the Steelers.
I think maybe they should be put in like, a Q or something. Like maybe.
Okay, you guys already bought tickets.
We're gonna hold your tickets until weekends.
Kind of like what Chris is dealing with with the season tickets.
Like Okay, you guys bought tickets.
We're gonna hang on to you guys gonna put you in a Q, And then this stuff comes available.
You guys will be the first to get him.
Season ticket holders.
I like that, but I call shenanigans on Pittsburgh all the way around.
You're telling me that they wouldn't let the Blue Jays a team that gets tested every day for Cove it to co inhabit a stadium in Pittsburgh.
But you're gonna let fans in? That's BS.
They're not letting fans in.
And they returned that money because they know they're gonna have right.
And and I think it's gonna b'more.
We're going to hear more of that. It's common.
You know what I mean? Because we're still sitting here going.
Okay, What's going on, like like like like we have no idea.
So something is going to come out sooner then later, you know, And and the other thing is to it's still a concern.
If if you don't think that the NFL season is in danger of starting, you are sorely, you are living under a rock because more and more guys are getting out.
Guys air coming up positive, which don't get me wrong.
It's almost like the positive thing is, is one thing.
It's like, OK, testing positive guys, you're doing okay.
Doc says they're asymptomatic or they're symptomatic.
They have a fever, their little nauseated, but they're feeling better now.
These are top paid athletes.
You would think that most of these guys once they get it, for the most part.
From what it seems, most of these athletes air coming out of it just fine.
Now that's a lot of long term stuff we don't know about.
Look, Travis Benjamin just stood up and said, Look, I'm out.
I know I just got San Francisco and all that good stuff, but ah yeah, I'm out.
So this is It's becoming a trend, guys, they're concerned.
I really think that we are in serious trouble when it comes to thinking about whether or not this is going to start.
And that's not even, you know, that that's not even the bottom line.
The bottom line is they're going to do everything like Crystal, he says.
They're going to try to get there 16 games, no matter what.
We're going to try to do it because they have to make that money.
If they can't put Butts in the seats, they're gonna have to at least have these TV deals have the sponsorship deals.
I just think it's not going to be what we're expecting.
I think we're losing.
We're starting, lose a lot of talented players.
We're going to see, you know, practice squad players dressing.
We're going to see a lot of things that were not that we haven't seen since they had Scrubs playing in the NFL.
Wouldn't you agree, Chris? Yeah.
You know, they had some scabs, and there were some good scabs that could have actually play in the NFL.
The union kind of kicked him under the bus a little.
Oh, yeah, I'm I'm not worried about them being able to do it Here's my thing.
I'm trying to figure out like we all know these NFL players, their alphas, man.
They are all of them and I don't understand the fear like we don't hear that in the NHL.
But in the NFL, there's terrified.
They're like they're terrified, like the PJ the You know, the PGA Tour.
The PGA is this weekend.
I've heard of like people often now, unless they really had a health risk or something, going like I just don't understand it.
And I'm trying to figure out, you know, if it's because of the 303 $150,000 they could get, But some you know what? Let's be honest.
Like if you could take this season off, your body's taking a pounding for six years, and your your contract money is just going to be kicked the next year and you get 100 50 grand.
Make it a year, you know what I mean? Like, who knows? Could your body man, that's your That's your tools.
Yeah, I mean, and and I think a lot of that is is valid because these guys are like, you know what? This thing people still don't know, we still don't know what kind of long lasting you know.
There's people saying that it can cause, you know, liver damage over the next five years to people that don't have the great.
I mean, whatever it is, there's long term effects that it may have on you.
And these guys, like you said Chris, They're thinking you know what this is? This is my vehicle to make money.
This is my body, is how I make money.
If I get sick and this thing cripples me now what now what do I do? I can't provide for my family.
I'm you know what I mean? Look, one of this one of the strongest dudes toe ever play tennis raw from the doll.
He has even pulled out and said He's not going to be a part of the U.
Open because of Cove. It concerns.
I mean, these guys have genuine concerns.
I don't blame them for it, but I'm hoping that they're opting out for the right reasons.
Look, you're an athlete, dude, you're petrified of this thing.
Some of it's funny because everyone's talking about Texas and Florida in California and Arizona, Literally.
The last place on the face of the planet I would want to go is New York.
I mean, the death rates Rico bit into your anger is nuts.
But can I tell you, though? I was watching a thing on national news yesterday, and as faras Death rises, New York not involved.
Yeah, they already had.
There's their debt yet.
Their death rate is gunned down drastically.
There's no rise in death rates.
You know, another state that doesn't have, um, 22 more states that don't have depth toes going through the roof.
Colorado, Another one.
We've been doing good here, man.
I can't believe he shut it down again.
We've been cool, like, come on.
But just cause the death rate is going up doesn't mean everything is okay.
They're still fine.
You know what I mean? We're just not going up.
You're gonna have cases now until the day we all die.
And look, here's what I want to make sure we were seeing how this is pretty much just times that we've never seen in sports would probably hopefully never see again. You look at the outbreak.
We talked about MLB starting, but maybe not finishing now.
But you look at the Marlin seven to reconstruct parts of having an outbreak.
Needs something players to put on their through trades or free agent signings or just players scrubs everywhere like you, said Mike.
And it's going to affect the NFL.
The NFL does start on time.
September Tent with the Texas and the Chiefs were going to see guys come off.
The practice squad is put on the gear, put on the pads and get in game game mode.
They're trying to follow.
Learn the playbook is because they can.
It is not gonna be great football.
And also where this is taking a toll to this affected the entire MLB spring training.
I don't care what you say about summer camp, but you look at guys like Clayton Kershaw.
They can't stay healthy with the back.
You look at Verlander now down with a forearm strain.
Roberto Ozuna is now out for the season with Tommy John surgery.
We have seven rookies in our pen down here in Houston trying to get the job done.
Luckily, Cristian Javier Air has been a bright spot for a top prospect there, too.
At the same time, we're seeing more young guys getting that chance to step up and be on the taxi squads.
So injuries become a certain point in this not just go video over defective the entire spring training.
These guys probably were on no kind of throwing program during the down time of this one.
Baseball wasn't going on for the 90 days or so, so this is very just unparalleled times we've never seen before.
And I think right now it's causing somewhat from baseball.
So now football getting the nerves, basketball.
I mean, I'll give Adam Adam Silver, you know, credit there, too.
At the same time, they've done a great job inside the bubble, doing what they can.
No, no publicized tests have come out here and there.
But look, this is ah, you know one of those things, too, where guys are not correctly in shape to play the respective sport.
Michael, you make a great point.
They make a living with their body and they put their body on the line every day for what they do.
And that's the kind of money that they make.
And going forward.
They have to do what's in the best interest for themselves and for their families to at the same time.
And all this is really just piled up to as well.
And I'm still waiting back to hear word to see what happened with a Verlander.
If it is just a four, hopefully it's something where he could just have the two weeks rest and come back and get on some type of throwing program.
Come back is if they lose him.
Okay, how many rookies you bring into right now, that's That's a huge loss for the impression that there will be no World Series championship in this shortened 60 game season.
So let me tell you, before we go to break, Chris made a great point about hockey players being tough.
I don't know if you guys saw Tucker Pullman yesterday.
Do took a puck to the mouth, went down on the ice, blood all over the ice.
Dude came back in the game, bro.
You want Oh, let me tell you some.
I'm taking a puck to the mouth.
No for that game, I'm out.
No, taking that lacrosse ball to the back man, let alone a buck to the faith that stop ball to the neck.
And I've taken a baseball to the back of the head.
And it was like I'm done.
I'm sitting down.
You guys can go.
You know what? Yourselves.
I'm sitting down.
Uh, keep it a lot more to come right here on the sports guy.

It's another thing that's freaking me out.
Um, so this, I thought, was interesting.
I I spoke about Travis Benjamin a bit ago.
What are these guys going to do? Think about? Okay, so he's opting out.
He just went from the Chargers, got picked up by the San Francisco a one year deal and he's happening out.
Wouldn't that kind of I mean, isn't that also a little bit of concern or fear for you as a player you like? OK, I want to opt out.
Ah, I want to be safe.
I'll take the three fitty.
But now you gotta be like, Okay, they're gonna pick up, you know? Are they gonna pick me up for another year? Since I opted out, that has to be a concern for guys that decide to opt out that maybe not, you know, have any time left on their contracts concerned for me Because, honestly, you're going to go from one franchise to another.
You want to make an impact on your new team, and the fact that it is a one year deal does draw concern and also to not just guys opting out.
But there's guys like Nick Markakis opting back in Victor Oladipo back in to the MBA Global to at the same time, because they do feel like they want to help their team reach the goals and trying to win championships or get those playoff seedings for their respective.
It's safe to that.
Yeah, but I think it's it's huge concern for me.
I know that again.
You want to do what's best for yourself in your family and people around you and not contract this thing.
But I think at the same time, no one you're gonna be back on the free agent market would be instruments.
See if there's any kind of clause in that contract.
If there's any kind of things that are written down there saying, you know what? You opted out.
You got the 3 50 Can you come back the next year? Will the team offer me another one, too? But you had no way to prove it to the team by getting out there on the field to at least play 23 games and that kind of thing and then say it up. I'm done.
Did my work, that kind of thing.
I'm gonna get my money.
So you have to me.
If you're a one year deal and you're gonna be out, there is a free agent.
Have to say you can't get another big contract, should you chance to prove it with your new team.
Got just drop concerns.
I think, uh, well, the the 40 Niners, like Goodwin goes, So they signed Travis Benjamin to fill that spot.
But I think both of them have opted out at this point.
And you know what? I I agree with you guys, but I don't think a lot of guys we're looking at it that way.
I think they're looking at it as they get a push their money to next year.
So this the situation they're in this year, they're going to be in next year and they can have a little bit of time off with a little bit of money.
I mean, and I think that's the way they're looking at it.
And that's what kind of drives me crazy.
And you know, we can get into the semantics of opting out on all this stuff, but I think it will have an effect on them.
A little bit like Jawan James for the Denver Broncos, he basically give gave Vic Fangio the middle finger for calling him out.
Last year, your income into all the workouts with with Drew lock all the 11.
The 11 c did everything.
And then it was Ah, he was even up in the Valenti's like, Man, I'm not gonna play.
And, um, so the $50 Million man, the highest paid right tackle at the time for the Denver Broncos, this still played lesson like 60 plays.
I think so, Yeah, I like for him.
That's a horrible narrative.
Like everybody in Denver thinks he's like just a whim now, right in a little off.
And I think with some of these other guys that have really, like, calm Peco.
He opted out for the Broncos, but he had riel reasons.
He's talking about that with him.
So I just think that some of these guys were just kind of living afraid.
And I just don't I don't live my life like that.
Let me let me let me piggyback off of the Bronco thing.
First of all, what is he doing with his hair? Why does he look like care cop? Yeah, and it's any And he's got, like, the Stephen A Smith thing going.
He might just go on Mike.
It's the new von do to stop it.
So if anybody should opt out, it should've been von Miller.
He already had Cove it.
This is a dude that, you know if you watch this at all, and Jeff Leg will wrote a great piece over on ESPN about it, this is a guy who has asthma, who regularly uses his inhaler in game and on the sidelines, and in practice.
I've seen no wrote to him on the field mean too.
And I'm like, This is a guy who when he said he had Kobe, I was like, I might do that.
A respiratory, you know, virus for a guy who has frickin asthma real asthma to right.
This is not this stuff that people have exercise induced.
I can't wear a mask.
This is a guy who actually has really like threatening asthma.
And he came out on the other side and he even said, You know, I thought about it.
I thought about all of my family at took serious consideration and the things that could possibly happen.
It's not 100% bubble like basketball, so there are always going to be holes.
But I feel like the job the Broncos were doing to keep us safe was enough for me not to opt out.
That is a guy that you got to go.
Okay, if von Miller is not opting out and the dude already had Cove it and he's an asthmatic well, and Mike, if you if you keep reading on that statement, he also talked there like Bond Man, he actually, if you look at him.
He looks the best that he's ever put on, a lot of muscle, taking all the fat off, just incredible shape, and you know where that came from, he said. I was.
I was watching the Jordan do***entaries, The last dance.
Really like I asked myself, Am I doing everything that I can to lead my team in every way I can? And he even said, I'm not Am I doing what Kobe did? Am I doing what Jordan did? And he I think he did it.
So on top of the Koven thing, von Millers finally realized he's the leader.
He's a race to the Broncos.
He has been for a long time, have taken that really seriously this year, and I'm excited about it cause I love on Miller, and I think that that's gonna help the locker room.
They're like nobody was surprised.
You want James opted out like I wasn't right.
I already knew that was coming.
He's a borderline guy.
That's a lot of guts because he doesn't even know if he has an NFL career anymore, right? I give him tons of credit.
That's that's a ballsy move because, you know, he wanted to play, right? Yeah.
So but what Von Miller is doing in the Broncos organization I mean, I don't know what else they could do, to be honest with you, like, yeah, and he is. He is.
Look, you made a great point.
He is to face of that franchise.
He has been for a long time.
As much as we're not Bronco fans, my wife is a huge Aggie fan.
So we've been fans of Von since his sop****re year.
A All the speeding tickets.
So you know, it's it's nice to see him step up this year and actually embrace the role that he knows he's had for quite some time.
But now he's actually putting his arms around it and saying, A I'm not opting out.
I had the virus.
I came up on the other side.
I'm gonna help lead this team.
We're going to get back and play, you know what I mean? It's just that's good to see when you have a guy like that, I mean, talk about an example.
It doesn't get more lead by example than having the daggone virus and being an asthmatic and saying, I'm not opting out, made a great guy all these soc Aggie days, No doubt about it.
He's always It was a captain on the field, man.
Just a part of the Wrecking Crew defense.
They had down here, too, as well.
And, you know, competing for championships right there.
You're not just back in the big swell.
I mean, this was a guy just led by just example after all, defense and play this position to the core.
And we've seen it translates at the pro level despite, you know, incidents here and there.
But all pro athletes do You have their little skeletons in the closet to at the same time.
And here's the God's gonna step on the field.
Have a chance to live up to the make a contract that he signed two by being the leader of a team leader in the locker room and a guy that can take young players under his wing and show him how the NFL is done and how to be a protocol and, you know, attend all the meetings and be on time and stuff like that to, you know, I think it just reminds me of a little bit of like, I think a kid who's kind of coming into his own now and watching some of the basketball on the bubble is bam out of Iot, the Miami Heat man with kids shows up on time.
He's getting into the Jimmy Butler category, but I think just a better all around player.
I watched you make Kentucky for a few years and just watched you kind of lead by example.
Just spent the one year, but the kids stepped on the pros.
Erik Spoelstra loves him a lot, too, and there's others out there, too.
But definitely just watching some of the NBA action.
You know, like you made a good point on the contracts to, because this is also a big year for baseball coming up with some free agents that are gonna drop this year. They had to play.
And speaking of some of the guys in my hometown, Josh Red****, Michael Brantly, George Springer.
The whole outfield is gone, looking for mega contracts and multiyear deals, so they had to play, you know, 50 60 games to put up some stats.
Otherwise their services may not even be needed so they had to fight through this thing.
We're dealing with a covert now to play whatever.
How many games would get into a swell? Because a lot of these guys are playing for contracts in these respective sports to for next year.
All right, let's switch gears here.
Let's talk about it.
Because I found this really interesting.
It's always funny to see how guys respond to, um, media, how we talk about them guys at ESPN, guys over at Fox.
And you know, NBC and CBS.
These are you know, sometimes these guys don't take it very well.
Perfect example was, you know, um uh oh, my God.
I can think of his name. Allyson.
Um, that from the Cleveland Browns? No, Um Garrett.
No, the quarterback.
I can't think of making me feel better.
So we saw what Baker did last year.
Yeah, he took a dump.
And he took everything that the media said and just boot on everything.
He got into it with Rex Ryan.
Like, really? You got into it with Rex Ryan over your performance.
Let me tell you something, Pau.
You had to look into the mirror to see that Rex Ryan was on point.
You were stinking up the joint and he called you out on it.
You didn't like it and granted, he came back and said, Look, lesson learned.
I'm not going to get into it with guys like that again.
And I'm going to be a better leader in a better quarterback in bullet block.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, We'll see whatever.
But Jimmy Garoppolo now is saying that he is unfazed by the criticism that he got during the Super Bowl.
And just to give you an idea.
Because I even though I watched this game and I was very enthralled by this game, if you look at his stats, they weren't very impressive at all for a Super Bowl.
20 to 31 one touchdown, two picks.
I got to say, Look, I didn't criticize him.
I just knew that this wasn't gonna be his Super Bowl now when they came out and they were beaten Kansas City, I wish I would have at halftime bet a gang of money on Kansas City like this dude better.
$100,000 ended up walking away with, like, a 1,000,000 bucks.
This game could have been won by San Francisco, and I do think that he kind of crap the bed.
He didn't have his.
As Chris would say.
He didn't have his **** in a group that day.
But do you think that a lot of the criticism that he's gotten for his Super Bowl performance was warranted? CB yeah, absolutely.
And, ah, the big factor in that game was him.
V Patrick Mahomes at the end.
Right? Patrick Mahomes Rent rose to the occasion and Jimmy Garoppolo didn't.
But I think the thing about it is, if you look, I mean, Garoppolo had a couple of nice games throughout the season, but that was kind of what I expected from him in the Super Bowl.
To be honest with you and what's it kind of got away from him.
I knew that was a rap.
I had no faith that they were going to come back.
Yes, so 100%? Yeah, absolutely.
In fact, I give him more grief than I give Baker Mayfield maker.
Mayfield's just Baker.
Mayfield. You know what I mean? He's nothing.
He's not going to the Super Bowl or anything.
But Jimmy G was.
And yeah, I think if Colorado Kyle Shanahan had a quarterback that was had a little bit more experience and had a little bit more moxie, they would have won.
I don't think Jimmy G's that guy. Just don't.
This is the Shanahan takes the blame for that loss to them.
Oh yeah, absolutely. 100.
He's blown to Super Bowl.
Let's just put it that way.
Put a lot of money in my pocket when he was offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons.
I really appreciate that 10 minutes left and crapped the bed. Brandon.
Chris makes a great point.
Look, news, flash your professional athlete.
You're gonna have criticism Everywhere you go.
It's not a surprise when it comes down to it.
Aaron Rodgers is drawing criticism.
Watching first day yesterday to is what can he be A leader? Can he lead by example? Is he gonna finish his career with the Packers? Oh my God.
They asking a 1,000,000 questions.
So honestly, this is something hardly agree with Chris.
I mean, honestly, Mahomes rose to the occasion, took the Chiefs where they hadn't been in 50 years.
And honestly, you're sitting as a quarterback of a franchise that you had made it NFC title game and what seven or eight years and even in that and won a Super Bowl since the nineties with one of the best young head coaches in football.
And you're playing on the grandest stage of them all the Super Bowl and you sit there and put up 219 yards passing.
Are you kidding me to fix one touchdown? You mentioned things like, what, 20 or 31? I mean, there's their bottom line is they have the players and they were kind of the team expected a win going into the football game.
They had a three headed monster at the tailback position.
They were running the football with Raheem Mostert all over the field and couldn't get the job done.
Something honestly, look, inability to execute drives through the quarterback, that your job to find the sticks, get the playmakers involved.
You have great great wide receivers on the outside, you have probably the hottest youngest head coach I loved here in Houston, I thought would take over with the Texans before we hired Bill O'Brien out of Penn State to as well, so honestly guess, 100% agreement.
Krista's criticism was all on Garoppolo.
And look, it's one thing to be a regular season quarterback, and we've seen that.
It's kind of like, Here's my thing about its usual.
I love Justin Verlander.
But he sucks in the World Series.
He is a deadbeat.
He's throwing six in the World Series.
He keeps playing come exactly.
So there you go.
So, honestly, when you step on the big stage for a regular season to a postseason and you have all these career accolades, it comes down to What have you done for me lately? Yeah, What has he done? He didn't win anything.
Okay, I've got a conference championship.
But now, if you're the pro athlete, you're gonna rise to occasion.
You've got to step back up, you know, put that behind us a man.
Look, whatever kind of season we're gonna play this year, we've got the talent.
We know we can compete and probably are the team to beat in the NFC.
Because, look, that was a Packers team that was not a 13 and three Green Bay Packers team either With Aaron Rodgers.
They have so many injuries they should have won the NFC title game.
And the way they played in the NFC championship game there to get to the Super Bowl really surprised me that Garoppolo and Constand hand to drop the ball you've got about.
And I think we all forget the scared overthrow that Jimmy G had to Emmanuel Sanders in that Super Bowl.
All right, Open like right.
He couldn't have been more wide open behind the defense.
And once he overthrew that I was like, game over.
That was ridiculous.
Yes, he I mean, he was sitting out there eaten, you know, eating and which in that era wets in the middle of the field.
He had so much freakin time I am.
Then you overthrown by 10 yards.
He's looking five or six yards behind the defense and overthrow.
But 10 yards, he's like and that's a fast dude.
Get to the ball.
Oh, my horrible.
If it'll fire, you have to come back to win a championship.
Whatever kind of season they get this year, it's you're not a professional quarterback.
I would love to be his shoes and have a chance to prove that I could go out there with a Super Bowl championship to knowing the teams got better in the off season with the draft in the free agents that they made.
But if you're any kind of a great quarterback, you're defined by championships, and I tell you right now, So May I was sitting talking about life.
We're looking listening to some my stuff yesterday with my folks came over, and I really feel like Aaron Rodgers has to win one more title to go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
It took Peyton Manning a while to win it.
With two different franchises expected.
There is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and the same with the live Tom Brady, of course, all that Terry Bradshaw.
But you've got to have at least multiple championships.
If your quarterback right now and Jimmy man, it's a big goose egg, dude, you've got to kind of come back and prove yourself that what happened in Super Bowl this past year was a fluke.
All right, we crock MLB an N B A.
On the other side of the break And when we come back, I gotta ask you guys what you thought about Allen Iverson's quote about LeBron and Michael Jordan, who he thinks is better.
I'm gonna ask you guys, would you think I got to talk about that? Yes.
You think too, bro? Yes, we will. Talk about PCs.
You hoax the cove it hoax on the other side of the break out.

Sports Got my Chris Brayden, Brandon Morel.
The reason I I thought that that was so funny.
One because obviously Brandon works in the school system and to during the summer I was able to go pick up like they're like, Oh, you go get your kids lunches.
Go pick it up at this elementary school during the summer was great was like 11 to 11 30 go they get sack lunches were the first day we got it so hilarious.
First day we got it.
I'm like, OK, and open it up.
It's got, like milk and cereal and it's got apple sauce and on my cool.
And then there's this warm piece of Reynolds wrap or cellophane or whatever, and I'm like, huh, Wonder what's in there? So kids open them up and it's this bun, and I'm like, Oh, cool.
You guys got like a hot dog or something.
Joey pulls it back and I swear to you, it looked like a broke piece of a McRib.
Yeah, so many goes, Oh, look, Daddy, it's ribs now, mind you, my son Vinnie loves ribs, loves him, and he thought, that's what any looked.

What do you weigh? Get busy up there from time to time in all the meetings, all the classes we have to do. So honest.
Look, man, you have a school lunch account, like Chris said, What, do you know what you're paying? Like only like, 2 53 bucks.

I'm more of a regular milk do than chocolate.
Come on, your white milk.
I just don't like chocolate milk, man.
It's They had put too much serpent.
Wow, I can eat a All right.
So So on Tuesday.
Miles Bluhm Hard.
Yes, that's his real name of the Fort Collins.
Colorado reported that multiple Colorado state football players in University Athletic Department staff are claiming the existence of a Kobe 19 cover up within the program.
Players said coaches have told players to not self report.
Corona virus symptoms threaten that those who quarantine or self corn or self isolate will loose playing time and even modified contract tracing reports to keep players on the practice field.
How ridiculous is this? Crist.
Come on now did.
It's funny I didn't even get to talk to you about the Pac 12 mandate from the players and stuff.
Let me ask you this.
This is just crazy.
With all these players complaining, How come this hasn't happened in the SEC? Here's why.
Because Nick Saban could walk out of his office, shake a tree at 20 blue chippers are gonna fall out of you ready to play.
I mean, like, this is ridiculous for me.
I know these coaches.
I know that they're doing their best for the players. They're trying.
They're trying the fact that you're telling me that they're trying to cover this up at a Mountain West school.
Come on now, when players.
I ducked some research on this.
They are having some of these guys isolate in one dorm, right? But they're not telling you know what? Like they're probably have their protocol, and when they come to practice, they ask him the questions that and go through all their protocol.
They don't want to go outside of the system.
I think is more of it than anything.
And that's what me reading into it rather than anything like Don't be going telling everyone I can't is there are gonna freak out and then none of us can practice right.
I totally get that.
Just keep it internal on what that means is go through the protocols they have set in place.
Let's go from there.
And I know these coaches have their best interests at heart.
They don't want these kids to get sick.
They want to play football.
And the fact that this is coming out of Colorado State just just chaps me like no irritating to me, it's look even joke.
Parker came out and said, Who's theeighties up there? Said that this student athlete population is the most tested population there is here, But obviously some feel that is not good enough job to make them feel comfortable regarding their health.
If that's the feeling, we will need to amp it up now.
The guy at the Colorado also added that 11 CSU football players 16 student athletes in total have tested positive for the Corona virus as of this past Sunday.
So rising, nobody, really.
It has happened on on every campus.
Yeah, I mean, it's it's everywhere, but the fact that there, you know, and and that's the thing when they said, Hey, let's keep it in house We go through the proper protocol.
Don't talk to anybody outside.
Leave that up to us.
We will report it when its necessary.
These idiots went out and talk to freakin miles and blue this thing up and made it look like a conspiracy.
We totally agree with Chris on that, too, like having been a coach, and you guys have been there, too.
There's just some things you keep in house and you internalize.
You don't let out to the media.
You don't leave and let out, too.
Like I said, the company you work for two at the same time, I think there's a lot of questions to be asked here.
You like you said a reporter gets ahold to something, puts out the truth.
And honestly, I think just keeping it tenfold and really just trying to be the best head coach you can for your players and orchestrate practices and want the kids to stay healthy like Kristen to get out there and get his made practices as you can in but totally bogus, totally ridiculous.
And I don't know what why you had to communicate that to the media to.
At the same time, I don't know enough about the story and Chris and you guys gnome or considering it's happening there in your home state.
But, man, if that happened down here, I'd be pretty much just just livid at that time because this should never let the cat out of the bank.
Their quarterback even tweeted saying coming from a player with a compromised immune system.
I never once felt like CSU football ever put me in jeopardy and Terry McBride, their tight end, said The coaches have done a tremendous job at keeping the health of the players and staff a top priority.
The plan they have is to keep the players safety in the center very inaccurate about this whole scandal.
So I look, it's it's just stupid.
Just absolutely stupid.
Um, OK, so, MBA, they're doing a phenomenal job.
I will say this.
The Nets upset the Bucks yesterday.
Completely blew my mind.
Wow, complete The only the only one that I the only upset I had yesterday or the sun's over the Clippers was the only one there balling out.
No, I called it.
Yeah, they upset him yesterday.
1 17 1 15 And the travel lasers actually beat the Rockets.
Estimated one in the 102 Wouldn't like a bucket.
Rockets coming off a big win with with Milwaukee.
You know, Sunday night to at the same time coming from behind there.
And like I said, it's been a cast of players, man with Daniel House to playing coming off the bench, Robert Covington to being a wing guy, picking count on and let's get a bit more from three point line after the Rockets are going to sit there and throw up more threes than anybody the league.
I want to say they had 55 or 60 attempts in that lost last night. Useless.
I just get tired of them throwing up threes, take the day bowl to the basket, draw the foul, get to the line and penetrate to as well if you're James Harden.
And that's exactly why things in the past of different players I mean, you look at Oklahoma City and the Thunder playing well in the bubbling Chris.
Paul having a great game just his 33 days ago, Still shooting well from the field out there.
Believe in the 40% range or somewhere like that.
So I mean, the Miami look really good, too, right now. Yeah.
They beat Celtics as I was once by six.
That's my home, not of the East.
I don't if you remember, Austin know the it is the Brandon.
If people, though, watch the rockets a ton watching them not be afraid when they're 12 down because they know that they can close that like, two seconds.
It's crazy toe watch and everybody's drop in threes.
You're like, Wow, this is this is this isn't what Golden State did this is like a whole new level of you because they weren't even worried there. Never worried.
They're like we're still knows no stored up.
Can I? Can I say something about James Harden's beard? You can't even see that dude's mouth anymore? No.
Can you trim that thing like, how does he eat, bro? It looks like a Afro on the bottom of his face, and he can't use his lips are like this big.
It's just it's really ridiculous.
I'm like pro, All right, anyway, a guy that knows who he is, I love it.
And he's a phenomenal player.
You got the Sixers and the Wizards tonight.
Deadly Take the Sixers.
After that, well said they had to deal with Nuggets and Spurs.
I like Denver toe win.
But don't be surprised if the Spurs take on Spurs all day, man, because nobody yeah, San Antonio to tomorrow's play a little bit better inside the bubble to visit that they need him made him to be a leader and to score early and often to at the same time.
I like the Spurs there you were talking.
See, they're taking on the Lakers tonight.
Um, you know a bet man would take the thunder.
You know what? You think LeBron is gonna will them to that victory tonight? You okay? And then you get Is that me? A DS playing off the change.
I love the way that laying there goes to the other night.
The double double 40 points.
And honestly, I take another team with dangerous there in the East right now you take Oi, Leonard.
Put him on any other team you want to, but that's right.
Now he's looking to him good, and Fred Vanvleet does not get enough credit as the credit he deserves from a point guard position.
Had another career high with 36 points.
It's a couple days ago, too, so I love what Toronto's doing.
I love **** nurses as possible for your hair, too, By the way, look, they take away among her dominant player, and the Raptors are still tender.
It's well, that's a team's team, man there, put doing it together.
It's really cool.
They are, um, Phillies.
Yankees got postponed yesterday, um, broke my heart, but, um, real quick before we get out of here, who looks the best in the MLB to you guys right now.
You know, I know.
We're all Astros, Yankees, Dodgers.
Who looks the best right now that you've seen that maybe you didn't think we're going to be as good as they are right now.
Well, I picked I picked the Rockies in the West to be number two and that young pitching in the bull pin point.
They're doing a great job, and I think obviously the Yankees air exceeding expectations.
But that NL West, the Padres look great, too.
So those were the two.
That, like the Padres, probably is the most biggest price.
Okay, Brandon, I think for me like a safe for our division, we gotta be worried about the Oakland Athletics.
The Oakland Athletics have that young pitching see with a young lineup Matt Chapman models since two of the best young players in the game right now to Marcus Simeone to playing well, getting contributors all and down the line.
After seven and four, they played one extra game, 1/2 game in front of us.
Right now we're six and four legs dimension with seven guys in the bullpen.
I can't believe out.
We've treaded water, even with one of the deepest lineups in baseball.
But I'd say right now early on through 10 or 11 games, my pick still for the World Series is the Dodgers and the Yankees.
To Gerrit Cole's.
Been what? Gary Cole, which all signing for saying, I'm Aaron Judge.
Five homers in five straight games, which is doing and baseball.
So I mean right now with the Dodgers getting Kershaw back, Hopefully, he's healthy.
We get thrown under back here another week or two.
If it's not Tommy John reports early on said it was, I'd say Dodgers Yankees Right now.
Two good teams to look out for should be in the World Series.
Don't be surprised if there there is the Atlanta Breaks.
Let me tell you, the sneaky team is the Minnesota Twins that I know I hate.
Saying that Chris picked me out of my mouth, almost made me vomit a little bit in my mouth.
Nine into their playing, phenomenal baseball.
All right, um, I got to say Happy birthday to the greatest one of the greatest centers of all time, at least for me.
Patrick Ewing turns 58 years old today. Happy birthday.
You all right? Anything you want to say before we get out here? Chris? Patrick Ewing was awesome.
Shacks number one.
Anyway, thanks for having me.
I'm like I got a buddy buddy. I'll see tomorrow.
Brandon, I appreciate you having me on my show is coming up next to we had a great day off.
Yesterday was my wife's birthday.
Took her out to the beach.
Enjoyed the day.
And so I just get away for five or six hours and a couple shows today a couple of Australian country artists coming out today he lives in National Troy Kemp.
