That energy felt like when we were in the playoffs.
But yo, um, anyway, back to the topic at hand.
We're talking kicks now.
I once upon a time was a big sneaker head.
I'm not anymore, because if you're gonna be a sneaker, head is going to be expensive, and it's got to be a passion.
It's got to be something that you wake up thinking about and you go to sleep thinking about and you scour the Internet for and you really are just like living your life through your footwear.
Once upon a time, I did that, but not so much anymore.
Honestly, I have sold probably 70% of the Jordan's that I used to have on, um, I will speak on the Jordan's first because we're talking about Allen Iverson and James Harden coming together to make a new question shoe.
Um, James Horan is in a D.
This guy, I'm sure you guys know that, and I'm sure you remember when Adidas sent him, like, 200 shoes to his Ah, his new spot in Houston when he signed his deal with Rockets.
Most of you should know is a Reebok guy.
He's got a lifetime deal with Reebok.
Actually, when he hits 45 I think he gets an extra $1,000,000 from the deal that he, um No.
I think he's 45 now, So I think when he hits 55 he gets an extra $1,000,000 from that deal that he brokered with Reebok.
Right now, nobody wears Reeboks.
Maybe you see people in the all white Reebok classics.
Uh, but nobody wears Reeboks on the court.
He had it and he had it.
Maybe three iconic Allen Iverson shoes.
You had the ah honey comb Reeboks with the Reebok logo in the two honeycombs.
And then you had the, um, ai ones.
I think there were the answers, and then you had the zip up ones.
Those are the three big ones.
And he said he's gonna collab with James Harden because they're similar.
They have a similar mentality.
He's a killer. He's a dog.
Ah, he was quoted saying.
Why not? He's an assassin, a killer on the basketball court, and I like to think my name would come up when it comes to that to I'm a big fan.
James is going to be legendary, definitely going to be a Hall of Famer.
Hopefully, he'll win a title.
So honestly, it's just an honor, you know what I mean? We all know Allen Iverson didn't win a title.
He also said that, too.
And, um, he said, Ah, it's his mentality.
You know, I'm me and this is what you get.
All I can be is me, and all I want to do is be me.
He loves that about him, Iverson said.
Ah, he's, Ah, comfortable in his own skin.
So look out for those a collab of the old school Reeboks.
The question Mido G meats Ogi with Adidas.
But I want to talk about just like some of the top basketball shoes and sneakers of all time.
Basketball and hip hop culture almost are synonymous with the sneaker world and sneaker culture that kind of, you know, cross worlds through footwear.
You see rappers where shoes that MBA players where and they wearing for style, not for athletics.
Um, number one is obviously the Air Jordan one.
Don't mind these dusty air Jordon ones that I have these air, actually, the All Stars from 2016.
All Star, maybe 2017 All star Every year.
When all star comes out, Jordan debuts.
Um, you know, some special air Jordans of Toe honor All Star weekend, and these are from, I think, the 2017 weekend.
I remember I got him in foot locker.
Times Square in NYC overpaid for him, but I didn't care.
I just thought the metallic like green on him look cool, black and white school.
And they also came with different laces.
I think the Air Jordan one is the number one basketball shoe.
The number one hip hop fashion shoe to come from the N B.
A world of all time.
Also, a lot of people talk about the Jordan taxis, the Jordan Concorde's the Jordan Lowell Evans.
I don't have those with me right now, but I do have in other color way, um, in the navy blue color way.
The same shoe you would see these, uh, with black on the bottom and white on the top.
The Concorde's that everybody loves.
And I think nobody ever is gonna rival Jordan.
LeBron has a great line of sneakers from the time he entered the league.
To now King James has a great you know, sneaker every year, but he's never gonna get on the level of a Jordan Kobe Black Mamba of rest in peace.
He had some great sneakers with Nike that you still see players like the Martyr Rose and where I think book wears them as well.
Kobe's got great sneakers.
Kyrie, the Nike family, you know, going from Jordan, the guys I'm naming now.
Great line of sneakers.
He's got about six different pairs of sneakers out of drop that we've seen in their always school.
They got either a strap on them or they don't.
The Kyrie Zehr always clean.
Katy loved Katie issues.
Katie's got more kicks in. Kyrie.
Um, I think he just signed with Nike sooner.
He's a Maryland guy, and I remember they rumored that he was going to sign what under armour.
But that's not Jiggy, bro.
That's not cool.
Nobody wants to wear under armour shoes talking to you, Steph Curry talking to you.
I don't even know who else wears under armour shoes in the MBA.
I know like Cam Newton does in the NFL and Bryce Harper does in MLB, but nobody wants to wear under armour shoes.
Besides Steph Curry, they gave him the bag, so it makes sense.
But back to the Nike family.
Paul George PGS.
I got these P G's.
They're pretty cool.
They're pretty cool.
That pretty cool. They're comfortable.
Um, you guys might remember when Zion bust his P G's open.
He had the blue and white special Duke additions, and they didn't go so well for him.
Ah, he ended up missing some time and blew out.
His PGS is that boy's a freak.
Um And then he had of getting a deal with Jordan and Jordan.
Brand now has a line of sneakers.
Also who else is on their Jordan brand? CP three.
Carmelo Kawai was with Nike Jordan book.
Kawai wears new balance.
I don't know why Kawai wears new balance.
They gave him the bag.
Um, who else was under Jordan? Once upon a time, Ray Allen were Jordan's as well.
Jordan brand and ah, Nike.
I don't know if you guys remember when Derrick Rose War Adidas and he messed up his knee.
Also around that same time, Rondo got hurt would Adidas on and people were saying, and I don't wear Adidas Toe Who? Adidas basketball shoes.
They're not the way you see hardening him now.
Um, just made me think of another guy that wears Jordan's Russ wide knots.
Russell Westbrook, Jordan brand.
Um but yeah, the n b a world, the hip hop world, the sneaker culture.
It's something that's never going to go away.
You see guys like, Ah, wow, I can I think of his name right now.
Flex in and he's got all of the shoes and his closet is like the same is like a D J.
Cale it or Odell Beckham Jr.
It's crazy when you see these guys like Tiger, you know, rappers with all of the different shoes Nick Cannon.
And then you see ball players like an O.
Tucker with all the shoes.
Like I said, it's something that's got to be, ah, passion of yours.
It's got to be something you think about all the time shot to my guide.
Jesus, I know decencies not a rapper or a ballplayer.
He's a comedian on air talent.
My God, Jesus has every shoe wall a another person with all the kicks, all the shoes.
Fat Joe, Another guy that's got a bunch of kicks and a bunch of shoes.
Um, what other shoes were Dope Shack Shack? I had some decent Reeboks, but now you got the Walmart shacks.
Don't ever buy a pair of Walmart shacks.
They're not cool.
Probably break on you.
Probably 15 books like the Marbury's, The Star Berries.
I know you guys remember the star Berries.
Those had a quick run.
The and one shoes, uh, never had a pair.
And one she was actually got a free pair and one shoes never wore them.
Um, now I'm thinking Charles Barkley's Sir Charles Patrick Ewing.
Patrick Ewing still sells his sneakers.
He's got his own Ewing sneakers.
That kind of looked like to change sneakers.
Two chains has his own line of sneakers.
I think with for Sochi.
You know, the sneaker game has gone from shattering the expectations of the N B.
A player being able to have a shoe like a Jordan, and even before that converse putting guys like Dr J and then Ah, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson into their shoes to now you have entertainers with shoes.
Kevin Hart has his own Nikes.
You got skateboarders Paul Rodriguez with their own Nike so you can have your own Nike to Maybe one day they'll make Nikes for a SportsCastr like me on air talent on Air Person podcaster sports fan.
Maybe they will make me some shoes to go stomp around the Barclay Center Yankee Stadium and not be cool.
I can dream, right? You should dream to.
Thanks for watching.
Make sure you keep your kicks clean.
Use a toothbrush and ah, don't crease him up.
Take care of your kicks and, um, make sure you get the Nike app.
Stay on top of that check out kick deals.
Ah, there's a bunch of places online to get cheap shoes and fresh shoes and stay on top of your kid game and ah yeah, that's all I got for you.
Keep McPherson for SportsCastr talking MBA talking about Allen Iverson and ah James Harden coming together to make a shoe and talking about you know, the top shoes of all time and hip hop in MBA and fashion and then just pop culture.
I did that all off the top of my head.
Thanks for watching Talk to you soon by.
