and we are live Welcome in everybody to MLB baseball.
We've got the New York Mets in the Washington Nationals here.
Therefore, you owe this stream started really quickly.
It started quicker than usual.
I think we're just waiting on Chris.
But right now, we're just in the pregame.
We're gonna be with you guys.
So about 8:30 p.
Eastern time, it's gonna be a whole lot of fun.
We see Chris has joined the broadcast, so I'm gonna give him an invite.
We're going to see what happens here is he joins in any second now.
So there he is right there.
You got what? You should plug your earbuds into your computer.
Probably right? Oh, I don't know, Do you? Your echo? Oh, no.
I don't actually think we're find them.
I think it doesn't.
I think it cancel it.
Cancels it automatically.
Okay, so we're good then. So we will get started.
And this is again between the New York Mets in the Washington Nationals.
Patrick Corbin is starting for the Nats after they got there.
They got a weekend break after not having to go to Miami.
We'll see if they're rusty and obviously they've started off three and 41 Odo is coming back.
You think the Nats can right the ship here? Yeah, I read an article that gave me Martinez was a little bit frustrated.
The thing you Nats didn't get to play last week.
It's basically like an All star break.
I mean, they finally got their bats going.
They started off one and four, but they had two very good games to finish off the Siri's against the Blue Jays.
Then they kind of lost all that Momenta, my going on this huge break so overly having one Soto back and Patrick Corbin, who did really well in his first outing.
That'll help them.
Ah, get back on track and find that moment in that they had, like when they played the Blue Jays a few days ago, Yeah, I would assume Sodo is gonna He's gonna elevate not only the team like he's gonna elevate himself.
He's really well, obviously, but he'll also he should also elevate the players around him.
It's going to be really exciting to watch what he could do.
Thank you, Jimmy and the boys for joining the broadcast um, so, yeah, if you have any thing you want to say, you can put it in the comment.
Feet also, Chris, I don't know if I'm just going to say this, right.
Walked er has joined the broadcast.
I hope I said that. Right.
So, um and if also, if you have any comments, you could put them in the comments feed as well.
But, um, yeah, we're gonna get started.
Just a few minutes.
We're going to be with you guys for about the next hour and 1/2 till about 8:30 p.m.
This game is gonna get started in 6 to 11 minutes.
Probably somewhere in that range.
And so we're just with you guys for the whole pregame.
Um, and yet we're This is my first dream of the week.
And ah, Christians first dream of the Monday through Sunday week as well.
So it's gonna be a lot of fun.
And I also did a broadcast from basketball wizards and nets.
I did, um I guess that was just two days ago on Sunday.
So if you want to check that out, you can do so.
You can also check out our past trivia Thursday broadcast baseball, broadcast golf, broadcast weekly live show broadcasts.
It's kind of funny, cause we do just about everything on here.
We'll do some football.
Once that gets started, it's gonna be great.
So, yeah, it's seven o'clock Eastern time.
Four PM Pacific five PM Mountain six PM Centric And we're about to get started with some baseball.
So gonna be very, very fun.
And the Nets, the mast, the Nats are facing a division rival, the Mets.
Like I said, the next the Nats are facing the Mets.
Who starting pitcher is Mats? Yeah, even now Act Mets match.
The Nats, whose broadcaster just announced the Nets are facing the Mets and mats the net and ah, you see earlier, if you're watching on TV, you see Juan Soto warming up in the batting cages for 50 Eastern 1 50 Pacific.
Um and yeah, he was warming up there and again.
We're gonna see nice pictures.
Dual, not the aces on either team's, but Stephen matches Mattson.
Okay, I can't even say his name. Right.
Steven Matz and Patrick Corbin should both be doing very well this game.
I'm sure they're both excited to be out there for some baseball and we'll see if the Nats can write their ship.
I mean, I guess the Mets have started off pretty strong to, um I right about that, Chris.
They've actually started out quite poorly.
Therefore, no, Maybe I'm thinking of last year, man.
I'm kind of out of it.
All right, So yeah, I guess they haven't started out that well.
Oh, but even after my mistake, Jimmy and the boys sent a thumbs up for 20 ticks.
Thank you very much for that.
We really appreciate it.
So I think, um, yeah, Jimmy and the boys must not have been happy when I made that mistake.
So he demoted us to 20.
We really appreciate it.
Anyway, um, we're about to get started.
It's now 701 Eastern time.
And, Chris, any other thoughts before we get started? I mean, the Nats have had good starting pitching, but if their backs wake up, I think that's really the key for them.
Yeah, he is Thea the Nats 2019 record verse N L East opponents.
They were eight and 11 against the Braves.
15 and four against the Marlins, seven and 12 against the Mets and 14 IFAD and five against the Phillies.
Yes, so very interesting splits their They struggled.
The Mets were the one series when they thean famous are 19 and 31.
That record, you know, for the Nats.
Last year, uh, it it was coming right off a serious against the Mets, where they got swept.
So if the next you get swept this year's which I'm basically sure they're not going to get, then at least we'll know that there for a World Series win, right? Yeah, that's true.
I mean, I don't need that.
I don't think they'll get swept, either.
Um, so after this game match will have Rick Porcello facing off against Max Scherzer.
That's tomorrow on Wednesday, and it's gonna be fun.
That's going to be fun to watch us while seeing Max get back on the mound again.
Obviously, he's so aggressive loves to go after batters and a Patrick Corbin.
Really, The Nats have really got, like three of the best strikeout pitchers in the game, like shares or Strasbourg and Corbyn all up there in terms of strikeouts.
So it's really exciting to watch them play for sure.
What? You're just smiling? Okay, I'm I'm not sure what's going on with Chris, but, um, he didn't answer me.
He just started smiling at the camera.
So anyway, yes, um, that's about it.
The Mets And that's coming up in a few minutes.
So that was my dad came, okay? Christy were, like, smiling at the camera and not answering it was pretty funny.
Bye. Bye. Kawai, for joining the broadcast.
Um, I assume you're a raptors fan, so, yeah, if you, um if you wanna comment anything will be happy to answer anyone's questions.
I feel like we always say that, and no one ever comments.
So if anybody wants to comment at all, like basically anybody, I'm almost anyone.
If you want to comment, you could do so.
Wait, Chris, Is the scoreboard still on the screen? Yeah, it is.
You know, it's still she's showing up for me.
Um, we'll have a look behind me on the white couch.
You conceal like the different colors flashed behind me from the TV.
Oh, that's cool.
Is that going to get copyright? No, that won't get copies Don't worry.
Yeah, we can't show the live game action due to copyright issues, but I'm sure it's fine if Chris is having the colors flashing in the back.
It's like, Sorry.
So you has made all this money.
We're gonna take it away because of the color is washing in the back.
And what's giving away, like all of the game feed, you know? Yeah, like I'm sure you guys can tell what's going on.
I mean, well, office will keep you posted on what's going on.
So, Chris, do you want to start the first inning and play by play and I starting commentary or the other way around? I don't care.
Whatever you want to dio.
Okay, then I will start the first inning and play by play than Chris will switch off for the second and the third and Crystal do the fourth.
And however long we go till about 8:30 p.
Yeah, So I assume that would be a bowel Mm.
For 4.5 innings or so funny.
Because, like, I feel like I look make me look awesome.
Like, Look at me. E really look awesome.
So I have a look.
Like it, Like, move up.
I don't have that here cause I've got some windows open.
So I'm in the ba*****t.
Oh, but there are green, but it's like the light doesn't get down to the ba*****t for some reason.
Because of the way the windows are positioned in relation to the house, the way the windows are presented in relation to the windows are related.
The light refracts at a certain angle that causes it to not appear, is as yellow throughout the ba*****t areas as yellow throughout the base.
But you where you were going well for a while, then the as yellow throughout that I don't want to say so.
I just went back.
Chris, The hue throughout the ba*****t areas is caused by their aflac fraction of light between the, uh, the windows front cortex and the backcourt.
Anyway, um, it's 86 degrees at Nationals Park.
There are some clouds in the sky, but it looks like the sun's trying to peek out over there.
Yeah, that tropical storm just went there earlier today, so I think that.
Okay, I guess I'll trust you on that.
I mean, I thought I was coming through later as well, but I'm not really sure.
And that I a came through our earlier today. I compare.
There's still some rain coming through there, OK? Yeah, later.
So, the urn? Yeah.
I mean, that's is good that it's already gone.
The Nats park is ready to be played in, even in an empty stadium.
So, yeah, we're gonna get started with some baseball in a moment, and it's gonna be very, very fun.
Well, I just look it up That tropical storm ice iess killed four and, ah, cause life threatening flooding along the east Coast.
Well, did not realize that Lina Tornadoes.
Picture of tornadoes in ah, Maryland and Virginia in Alexandria.
Well, that's insane.
Um uh, and also I think it's easy E osce or something.
It's pronounced people were killed on this.
You sure you're on the good wife? I cause you're really your glitch ing out for me and you're going to Oh, Am I going? Yeah.
You're echoing a little and you're on the back.
You seem to be on the bad wife.
I, um So anyway, I'll talk about the next line up.
What? My wife lies on the right one.
I'm pretty sure it's just okay.
Now it's fun to the bars.
Okay, I think that.
All right, So Patrick Corbin is about two pitches now, seven away Eastern time, and, ah, Patrick Corbin.
Last start pitched six and 1/3 innings this his second start of the season, and he'll be pitching it in there to the Mets in just a moment.
My scoreboard didn't update on my end when I was looking before, but I think it updates on your end.
All be it May I think it's a little bit delayed.
So, um yeah, Patrick Corbin will be getting started in a moment.
Last year, he actually used the slider 37.
That was the most out of any of his pitches.
Used to sinker a lot, too.
And ah, forcing.
Fastball was third in the ****nal, and he's still warming up here, throwing in some light tosses.
And you see, the Washington Nationals is defense.
Uh, whose Harrison Oh, Josh Harrison is in left field.
Victor Robles and center at a meeting and right Turner And keeping our newly signed Harrison.
Yeah, Josh Harrison starting here a key.
Boom and, uh, key booms at third.
We got Turner at short.
I think Castro is at second, and Stains is at first.
Then we got the catcher.
I did not get Yang Gomez is the catcher along with Patrick Corbin? I believe I got that right.
Yeah, they always they always team up there.
Always a They come in a package, you get Corbyn, you're pretty much always getting non goes.
What do you think of Josh Harrison before we get going here? I mean, I don't know what tone about him.
Obviously, he's I guess he's a veteran guy.
Um, we'll see how he does.
I don't know if he's had a ton of experience starting, so we'll see.
I mean, I guess he has in his career, but not this season.
So Corbyn rocks kicks in.
The first pitch is low 88 miles an hour.
That's ball one to Brandon Nimmo, the leadoff hitter for the New York Mets this season.
He has a to 37 average, he said.
Three R three R B I's for a week on base percentage that 88 mile an hour slider is in there for a strike.
You see, Corbyn has already pitched two sliders, so he really likes the pitch both at 88 miles an hour.
Now that one's inside and it's a called ball two and one, I guess so balls your problem.
I'm my TV is really ahead of yours right now for some reason how to get ahead, at least for some reason when I'm when I'm hearing your audio or something, it's Corbyn delivers.
On the pitch is a called strike there two balls and two strikes.
I think you might be hearing my audio delayed that I don't think your TV would have just gotten way ahead.
We're ready. Sink it.
Thank you, little Lil.
All you OSHA for joining the broadcast 22 pitch coming into Nimmo swinging a strike three on the 80 mile an hour fastball that sends Nimmo back to the dugout.
Yet, Chris, I think you might be a little ahead.
You might need a pause a little sorry for my Yeah, I think you might have.
I didn't do you much anything.
So after that strikeout lead all strikeout on Nimmo on which Corbyn is known for their Yeah, yeah, and you, Chrystia echoing.
Can you get Can you get headphones? Yeah, Grab you to.
Here comes JD Davis to the plate.
He's sitting to 94 on the season, two home runs, six R B I's and the pitch comes in low 88 miles an hour again, that one's in the dirt for ball one.
So Davis, the second batter of the day, we see a shift with Starlin Castro, the second baseman going to the right side of the infield, or the left side from the batter's point of view, swinging a mess on a curveball that makes it one ball in one strike.
JD Davis, in 18 games against the Nationals, hit 3 73 with six home runs and 14 r b I's.
He has had a lot of success against this team as of late, and you see in the 11 pitched Corbyn delivers and Davis fouls that one off the right side and it hits the backstop.
So the count is one and two.
Davis steps out of the box, adjust his batting gloves, and Corbyn is heading back to the mound.
Once again, Davis is back in.
Um, so, Davis now stuff clothes from the plate.
Chris, you're bumping your mike a lot. I think.
I just said that Corbyn delivers and the pitches chopped off to the left side and foul once again.
One to count on Davis.
So pitchers count here.
One ball and two strikes.
Davis takes a practice swing and steps back into the box.
Corbett looking in.
He's pitching from the regular wind up with nobody on base in that curveball.
That's a junk ball right there.
62 miles an hour in the dirt.
I faced pictures in my baseball leaks that there faster than that.
That was just a junk.
More two bullets in two strikes.
Thank you, little all you OSHA for the tip.
We really appreciate it.
Um, but yeah, that was a curveball there.
Just in the dirt. Very slow.
Um, so two balls and two strikes.
Now on Davis Corbyn delivers that one's outside, gets it up to 90 miles an hour, but it's a full count now.
Three and 22 straight balls to JD Davis, who's trying to get the Mets the first base right there.
First base runner of the afternoon slash evening.
Three to count the pitches outside for Ball four.
Good corporate could not find this.
He could not find the strike zone after going getting toe 12 Davis is now on first and there goes the perfect game.
That's Corbyn's 12 pitch, and we now have a runner on base.
No, that was like, Take my JD Davis.
I think that pretty much most people would have been expecting a slider there and Corbyn through the outside fastball.
I think it was a little bit high, so that may be kept Davis off of it.
But, uh, yeah, definitely a good take.
Here's Pete Alonso, now stepping up to the plate with a runner on and the pitches in there for strike one.
So, Alonzo, I okay, Alonso this season, none of starting off that well.
He's hip Patty 1 67 That one was low in the zone, but in there for strike one.
So Corbyn, pitching from the stretch now swing and a miss are actually not my bad.
Not starting a mess. He fouled it off to the left.
No balls and two strikes.
That was that really looked like he hit that.
I mean, yeah, that's not even province fall guys that looked like like he just hit that.
But it looks like a swing and missed you, by the way.
Yeah, it really did. Yeah.
I'm not really sure why it looked like that, and it wasn't Oh to count down Alonso.
Who? I guess he led the league in home runs last year.
The pitch comes in swaying in a mess.
Strike three on the 80 mile an hour off speed.
Corbyn gets out Number two on another strikeout and the Nationals are closer to getting out of the inning with the cleanup hitter coming up for New York.
Yeah, Alonso was really early there.
I think that he was maybe expecting a fastball.
Yeah, he's clearly unhappy in the dugout.
August did Ballenger lead the leader and no.
Alonso led the league in Homer in seven years.
The former national Wilson Ramos hitting is a D.
H and now in his older age where he's not catching anymore.
Yeah, Ramos was good for the Nats for a long time.
I'm here for at least a few years.
Just look, at least a few years, I think then he actually got had a bad injury and I think he missed in season.
And recently he has signed with the New York.
Right, Five. Thank you.
I can't remember who he was with last year.
I'm not sure if it was the Mets he might have been.
Yeah, I don't remember.
But either way, it's 10 count now on Ramos after that pitch was in the dirt.
Corbyn looking in for the signs.
Now he sets and the delivery Ramos belts that one in the left center gap.
This one's going towards the wall, and it is caught running into the wall.
A nice catch there.
I guess that was, uh I'm trying to see who that was.
Chair first and made the catch there.
He was running into the wall.
That one looked like it had a chance to go out, but Josh Harrison made a nice play running into the wall and they will get out of the ending two strikeouts for Corbyn, and he's leading the Nationals to us scoreless, top of the first against the Mets.
So they are about to come to back in the bottom of the first.
We're going to see Juan Soto for the first time in the next inning or two.
Yeah, that's gonna be funded.
It's good to see him back.
I mean, one of the youngest studs going into this new season, and ah, definitely is in line for another good season.
It even better than last year's.
And he was so good last season.
I want I hope we get to see the Soto shuffle, Captain.
What do you think? Oh, yeah, that'd be fun if you guys don't know what the soda shuffle is.
Ah, it was became a big part of sodas games.
He kind of played mind games with everyone.
Ah, throughout the playoffs last year, where the Nats went on to win the World Series every time there was a ball, you do something, right? Step away.
He like he'd ah, what else would he do? He'd like a justice jersey and stuff.
And like and like pump his chest and stuff.
It was kind of funny.
Yeah, well, maybe we'll see that here.
Yes, Steven Matz is gonna come onto the mound in just a moment.
And Ah, so, yeah, I guess.
Josh Hairston making his first start for the Nationals, who are now three and four on the year.
They're trying to get back to 500 with a victory against the Mets.
They'll be able to do so.
I wonder, I guess.
The trivia functions probably working right now.
Well, broadcaster insights.
It's not letting me click on broadcaster insights.
You see one Soto sitting in this stands right now the bottom of the first inning.
He's back with the team once again, and I think on the broadcast away, I don't think he's playing.
Oh, he's not playing.
Oh, yeah, I guess he's not playing.
I mean, he's back with the team, but he's not playing trade.
Turner is leading off after coming after him is Adam Eaton and Kendrick Cabrera, Castro Harrison and Key Boom Gums and Victor Roadless, batting ninth in this order s Oh, yes.
Oh, no, Not back with the team very interesting, but Steven Matz is coming on the mound now.
He's a 62% fastball, Picture said to start this season 3 18 A and, ah, he will be facing off against Trey Turner here in the top of the first earned.
The bottom of the first trace out of goods has had a pretty good start, I think.
Yes, here's the pitch from Mats.
Turner fouls that one off.
He comes out swinging, fouls it off to the right.
So one count now entree.
That was a pretty good swing by trade.
I think he felt.
I think Matt saw that.
He would be passing up that first pitch, but he was ready to go.
Yeah, targets low match pitches that one's in the outside in.
Turner hits that one deep.
That's caught, though, by the center fielder.
It was not Nimmo.
It was, um, Gore Cordell as they show the physicians here, Conforto and Right Cordell and center Nimmo and left David Jimenez third onshore work Does your Alonso 2nd 1st and Neto is the catcher O Brian Dozier.
It's good to see him from the Nats last year.
He's no I'm joining the Mets. Heat.
He struggled late as the season went on for the nap a little bit, kind of went cold and then didn't end applying much during the playoffs.
Yeah, so here comes Adam Eaton to the plate.
That one is outside and low 86 miles an hour.
One account eaten.
Sitting to 96 this season, he had the homer and on opening day off of Garrett Cole.
Three R B I's Target is low.
Eaton hits that one to the left side.
It looked like he got a good bad on it, but it was to the left and out of play a little bit late on that 1 95 So solved speed ReMax a little above the league average.
Yes, he's eaten the lefty, Uh, a little late.
So hit it down the line, Foul down the third baseline foul target is in and the pitches outside and low.
But they it was a called strike.
That one was very close.
It was hard to see.
Very, I guess is borderline strike there.
So one to count on eaten good thing by the catcher.
I think that's what COPD over the young.
Yeah, he topped the plate there.
Here comes the pitch at one was in the dirt 78 miles an hour.
Well, to have had a lot of movement on it.
I haven't seen that look like Patrick Corbin slider right there.
Almost area or that 62 miler.
Yeah, that was I was like wood in the world.
So the 22 pitch coming into eaten and eaten swings and chops that one to the right.
That one is foul.
What's that pitch call? That's Ah, like the really slow pitch.
It's like Ybor something or something like that. I mean, there's a curveball.
No, there's like a really slow pitch.
Where they where you just kind of throw it out in front.
22 Pitch to eaten is swung on 96 mile an hour high heat.
There, that one was found off to the left, again eaten really fighting here to stay alive in this at bat.
He's making Steven Matz work when he went on the briefest e Ph.
It's really used to just catch the batter off.
Pitches, swung on and fouled off to the right.
Yeah, I didn't know that that was that school.
It's like so they're some of the throne.
It's It's normally like low fifties, sometimes even in the forties, like basically, you deposit in there and it's just there to catch the batter off guard.
And a lot of times actually end up missing.
Or if you thought it's a very bond till absolutely smack it.
But to pitch now eaten swing and a miss that is Strike three to capture, gets the tag on him is eating heads back to the dugout.
Two ounce now in the inning and, ah, Stephen Mask gets the strikeout he had to work for, but he got eaten. Eventually.
That one was a low pitch.
I guess that looks like a slider, I believe.
Um, so now eaten is out.
End third batter for the Nats is coming up in just a moment.
Two outs here in the bottom of the first inning, Mass is looking into face Howie Kendrick.
The pitch is right down the middle, strike 1 95 miles an hour.
To Kendrick, who hasn't started off that great this season.
He's been just to for 16 all year after his hot start and finished last year.
Matt's pitches low 85 miles an hour.
11 count now for Kendrick.
Yeah, I was surprised.
I expected to see Kendrick.
Maybe continuous moment.
Somebody isn't done too much sense.
Hopefully, after this little break for the nap, he could be back and doing well.
That pitch is low 74 months interest.
I don't know if he is batted third before, but the nap isn't very, is it? Look, the Nats batting lineup isn't too great of this year today.
Mats working quickly 95 miles an hour.
That one looked like a strike.
But the um calls it a ball high heat for three and one two outs in the Kendrick, trying to get something going.
Hey called matches low pitch, but doesn't go for the high one.
I guess he's caught a bit of a lower strike zone.
Yep, and Kendrick Kendrick also has the lower stance, so that might play into it a little bit.
Yeah, that's true.
Three to count on Kendrick after he fouls that one away.
Matt's looking in, going through the full wind up he delivers and Kendricks belts that one deep to left in getting what is all the way out of here.
That one is gone.
Howie Kendrick hits a solo shot in tow, left center and the Washington Nationals already on top one.
Nothing on the New York Mets.
So Kendrick, blast that one in the full count.
He was ready for that pitch.
It was low in the zone and he took it into the seats.
And that was his first homer of the season.
Maybe he is finally out of his slump.
You see anyone in the dugout there? He pitched that ball was on a one way ticket to the scoreboard right there.
Absolutely. Just a missile off the back.
Yeah, Kendrick absolutely belted that one.
He's sitting down dancing.
Oh, he's got the out of eating.
They've got the car.
Ah, that's the one thing that you kind of miss.
When you do a play by play, you are not people doing the play by play to put the people listening.
The, uh, that's haven't got dance going with the gear shift with Adam, Eaton and Kendrick.
They're both car fanatics, I think.
Here's Asdrubal career swing and a Miss by Cabrera as he steps into the box.
And Stephen Master that heater 94 miles an hour.
See how the pitch to Kendrick was a slider, I believe, 80 85 miles an hour or dipping low, and Kendrick saw it coming all the way.
Hit it 414 feet and Cabrera chops that one down the left field line, just foul over the family by the, uh, catch by the third base coach.
A little chopper bare hands it.
So Cabrera, heading to 22 this year with one home run nice, are already six R B I's and a home run.
Yeah, not the highest average, but he's D H ing today.
Oh, to count and Cabrera fouls that one off other and home runs through the MLB has all been like struggling in batting average.
Actually, a lot of the players are having low batting averages.
We've seen a lot less singles, and because he's an amount of home run a little bit more home runs than normal in a little bit less single so far, the target is inside.
Oh, to pitch Cabrera belts that one over the center that will land in front of Cordell for a base hit.
Cabrera rounds first, and he will stop there.
Stephen Max is allowed to straight hits and on pitch number 20 Cabrera takes him into center with a little blooper.
And just as you talk about having no singles, Cabrera bloops that one.
You're the guy who has a high average story. That's what I got.
Here's what I gotta do. Calvano.
There have been no doubles in the MLB season this far.
No doubles at all, you know.
Yeah, and we'll means Guy has a high average.
He's got a chance of doing it.
Starlin Castro's hitting 3 60 this season, and he's been solid so far in his short tenure with the Nationals.
Yeah, but there have been absolutely no doubles.
I mean, it's crazy, really underrated during the off season, I feel like and that was what a lot of people thought to that 89 mile an hour pitch is high.
Behind the ball sports for joining the broadcast.
Thanks for joining, I think first time Joyner for our broadcast.
So if you have any questions or comments, you put them in the comments.
One account to Cabrera or not. Cabrera.
Uh, that one's in there.
That one is actually a strike one and one, um, to Starlin Castro, who has batted third at times.
I think that he was swamped with Howie Kendrick.
Now he's batting fifth.
Howie Kendrick in the first few games had batted.
Yes, but yeah, the 11 pitch swing and a miss from Castro.
85 miles an hour.
Not one is in the dirt.
One to count and match looking to get out of the inning.
Hero looks like behind the ball Sports has left.
Castro was not was looking for a fastball there.
He fell to his knees on that one.
So Steven Matz setting up.
He's pitching from the stretch one to count.
That one is in the dirt.
Catcher Neto hops up looking.
And just in case, there was a stolen base coming Well, yeah, through the same pitch again.
Massed it And ah, this time capture was ready for it.
He Yeah, And then he has been very solid this season to two pitch Castro found was that off himself on the 77 mile hour curveball that was could have been a sweet pitch that was dropping right in his own.
Castro looking in hammer.
That's that He fouls it off himself, probably pretty frustrating for him.
See, that's the whole goal of like an And if it's like I was talking about earlier, those really slow pitches.
I mean, like, he was so ready to hammer that one that he was just, like, didn't make good connection because he was so excited, you know, like, yeah, he was ready to jump on it.
But he just missed the pitch from Matt's swung on, admits 77 miles an hour.
That was the same pitch, a little lower in the zone and Mawr inside, but basically the same pitch there.
So the Mets are out of the inning, but not without some damage being dealt.
Howie Kendrick sent that one to the seats in left center, so Chris will be back with the play by play by play after this commercial break.
So I'm running for the Nats.
Two hits, no errors.
So good inning for them.
Not a word but no hits.
Another one commercial might be a good time to plug our podcast if you guys like fantasy football.
Chris and I host a fantasy football podcast called The Second and Goal Fantasy Podcast.
You can find it on all major podcast platforms.
And on Monday just a few days ago, we released our actually, that was yesterday Pro my time.
Really? Well, like it flies, but it actually doesn't.
Yesterday we released a fantasy draft preview.
It has everything you need to know for your fantasy drafts, basically, basically everything I see literally everything, but not just getting in our positional previews episodes from the past few weeks.
We go more in depth, but everything you need to know at all the basics for your fantasy draft and ****ysis of eat every position, the main points in an hour in 38 minutes.
So it is jam packed.
That was by far longest episode, and it's still we had the jam packed with information.
It could have gone way longer.
Honestly, yeah, there's one episode that you need to listen to from our podcast.
That is, especially if you're into fantasy football and, like even more for beginners.
If you're even not even beginning.
I mean, it's good for experts to, but even more for beginners because there are so many tips just about like when two draft players kind of draft strategy, which more experienced player who's done more drafts, has a better idea of that.
But, uh, definitely for beginners, it's super helpful.
And then your experienced players can also get some important.
Yeah, I mean, don't get us wrong. I mean, more experience.
Players could definitely learn from this from there.
Could definitely get some tips from the podcast.
We got sleepers and busts at every single position, and, um, a lot of them were which you may not have thought about.
So, uh, we're getting back to the second inning.
And with the play by play here is Chris.
Yeah, showing off the gold jerseys for the Washington Nationals Right now, those are pretty sweet.
I guess I get them after the World Series.
When Patrick Corbin steps back up to the mound, I'm not sure who is in the box at the moment.
That might be Michael Conforto.
Yep, it's number 30 averaging 3 25 So a strong start, one home run for R B I's and a 4 26 on base percentage beers Corbyn with the first pitch of the inning.
It is grounded up the middle to Trey Turner.
I think that goes and throws how he fender for the That was out at second.
But, um, you know, I think he I think Castro stepped back.
I'm pretty sure they were in a shift.
Okay, with the other shift worked.
Well, in that case, Brian Dozier is talking to Iand Gomez.
Obviously they were on the same to you last year.
Smiles all around, so they're obviously talking about some have fun.
Looks like Brian Dozier is glad to be back in.
But I think he looks excited.
You know who's coming in since he left for New York.
Obviously no fans here.
Here's the pitch right down the middle.
I think that was a cutter from Patrick Corbin.
I'm pretty here.
I think I might be a little ahead of you.
Here's the pitch.
And it's popped up 65 MPH. Another slow one.
Looks like Howie Kendrick will grab that.
I missed the pause play.
Do you? Let's see, I'm gonna try to skip ahead.
All right, let's see if I could get this Resync again.
Here's the pitch.
And were these the first strike is taken by Cordell.
Yeah, I got really ahead.
I was like, Whoa, why aren't you calling justice Third season? And, uh, he's batting.
I think that said to await before what he can do.
He's not of, uh, name.
I'm very familiar with the pitch.
A slider, I think.
81 MPH into the bottom.
The teams have all the masks.
Uh, that one is down and inside and it's fouled back in the mask are vertical.
Wait, can you say when they go cut back to Corbyn so I could get it home? Corbyn Okay? Yeah, I think basically, I think we're basically things now.
The wind up the pitch.
Ah, high and away in 92 MPH, young guns had to jump out of his stance.
So I think that that one was a missed by Patrick Corbin One to count those.
So still a pitchers count.
Here's the pitch and it is popped up the middle.
What? A grab by Victor Robles came in I think he immediately felt that that one would be dropping it.
He'd maybe have to run for it and maybe make a diving play.
But it turns out he ended up having to run back with you.
Grabs it, got that nice blue and red glove that he were all of last year's.
123 And I was very fast.
That one went very rest.
Victor Robles definitely has a chance to be a gold Glover in coming years.
I mean, he is spectacular in the outfield.
And so we're in a commercial break now again.
Chris kind of got unlucky with the whole play by play thing as soon as he came in.
It's just very quick, Inning.
Yeah, I don't know, Chris.
I mean, I like color commentary.
I think I prefer play by play, but I like colors more relaxed, but like, which one do you prefer? I think I'm more of a play by play guy just cause I feel like I don't know, it's kind of more fun because you can kind of try and make up like different slogans and do different fun things and yeah, yeah, I mean the 1st 1 to talk about everything a little bit.
I think play by play used to be my favorite part, like of any kind of sports broadcasting.
And then, I mean, I still love it. It's still awesome.
But I think like I decided that I think I've more gone into the sports talk radio shows and I think podcasting is awesome.
I love podcasting.
I love writing Is so anyone any broadcaster will tell you that writing is so important in broadcasting like it's basically the most important thing to get, like a career, something in this field.
And it's like, I'm I like to write to.
So, yeah, if you want to become a broadcaster, learn how to write no other.
All right, so we're back.
But you're probably seems to be kind of explaining that play that he had there was a It was a kind of a crazy one.
I mean, they're showing the replay of it.
He totally thought this thing was gonna drop.
Started running towards the middle, had thought it went Oh, no.
I gotta run back that he started running back but made the grab.
It was cool that you were talking about the play and then it caught like right to the replay.
I think it's the second time that that's happened today.
That's, Oh, here's the replay again.
120 Nats As they step back up, it looks like the scoreboard isn't really updating.
So I guess that I think it's it's not updating on our end, but I think it does.
For the people, it's just a little bit delayed like so when it happens, it will be a little bit before the scoreboard up things.
But here's the pitch from matched into Harris in the new Nat just signed.
I mean, I think the scoreboard here works better for, like baseball.
Since there aren't as many runs its leg over basketball, it's a little tougher cause it's like never updated.
Basically, here's the tent.
This is his 10th season, so definitely a veteran.
He has a to seven.
I think that was either this year or last year to 72 average.
Oh, I think that was last year.
Here's the pitch catcher lines up a bit outside and that one is way up top 86 MPH.
It looked like he wanted it to work down back into the zone.
No on the on that Cavite on our stream, it still says Pregame.
Anyways, here's the pitch up and inside, and that is a called ball.
That should have been a strike, at least for the strike zone on our screen.
But like I said earlier, the UMP has been calling the strikes on a little bit down. Here's the pitch.
Oh, what is it? And Josh, Harris said, jumps up.
We will see you later.
Absolutely ripped to left field of of the visitors bullpen.
Wanna hit by Josh Harris? It and welcome to the Washington Nationals.
Oh, nice, Yeah, that's your first home run goal in SportsCastr Chris.
I think I've been lovely enough that I've gotten to do, like, three, But that's your 1st 1 Nice.
I was Oh, what? So let's talk about with the dugout.
Oh, like this, I, the Washington Nationals, I if you guys haven't seen our streets Oh, he's got the dance.
Who's to Josh Harris and really has the dance rooms I like.
I like it a lot.
All that was good.
That's is being battered right now.
Um, so I said, I'm gonna said that A quick trivia question to you guys and feel free.
Whoever still here to answer? No, no, no.
I picked the long answer. No.
I e o E o 11 gout to Carter Key.
Okay to pick that, Kevin, sometimes the what's wrong is really right.
4 44 average So far for Carter Ki Boon.
He's form lines upon.
So I don't want these ice a year better.
Wanted to Teoh one tabulating results.
Whoa! Correct, though incorrect c o But I e Here's the of 12 pitch to Carter Key Boom! And that one is down.
In a way, I think you got to be hitting his spots really for the streams.
When I re watched them, the scoreboard work.
But when I think I don't know if I think you do have to do something weird to get it to work.
Either that or it doesn't.
Even if that was a that was a big breaking ball, props to keep him for being want to keep that on his bat.
And this one was right down the middle.
Josh Harrison absolutely ripped it.
I saw right after he hit that he gave a big trump, and I knew that was gone.
Oh, and then he's got the dance moves.
He's got the fortnight dance moves.
If you like to see, we'll keep.
Boom gets caught looking.
Oh, yeah, yeah, we got to get back to the play by play.
You gotta give active play by play one out in the inning.
Uh, Harrison seems to be really enjoying that whole body's talking it up through the TV.
The old guy can still hit.
You know Don Jones has a to 44 average so far are being last season he had to 40 or no in nine seasons.
Here's the pitch as his career a way.
Yeah, his career average was about to say 99 home runs last season that this is what seemed like Young Go.
Yeah, I mean, 99 career home runs.
We'll see if he gets number 100 pitch.
And it is a way Young Guns is more of a defensive catcher.
Kurt Suzuki being the opposite Mormon offensive catcher.
You know, you know, not too much to expect off of the back from.
We've been seeing many triples this season.
What? What? Oh, and I don't think he went.
Yep, he did not go.
We thought in the dirt.
40 pitches already for mats, and he's only has one out in the bottom of the second.
Not a good showing for him so far.
Then, after up to 20 film steps back in the box, twirled his bat mats, winds up the throw outside and down, did not go home plate umpire looks back to the first base coach once again.
But I think that one was a little bit more of an obvious take to to count to 21 out bottom of the second.
Here's the pitch way outside, 95 MPH.
Maths does not be ableto has not been able to hit with the fastball.
He shakes his head in disgust, maybe gives his shoulders a little little wiggle is if that's gonna fix it.
But I will say it was the next fish.
I thought he made some good contact there, but it's fouled off to the right 94 MPH. He actually hit it spot.
There may be the shoulder wiggle worked.
Gristle really wants to do another home run call.
Yeah, I really dio and I think we have the right picture to do it Now.
He has been 15 balls.
28 strikes for that's here's the pitch.
Didn't give it a shoulder wiggle.
Oh, it's grounded all, and there might be an error here.
An error by the forward at Brian Dozier.
I don't get Brian Dozier.
That was a full count younguns ground that it overdid.
Dozer knows your first can get it with the glove, then can't take it out of his glove and tried the carrot, and it then tried to glove it, then tried to there.
So glove, no bare hand, no glove.
Yes, into bare hand Know what is it? He's not apple pies.
One was from his base.
Quick after that.
Well, here's the cruellest, manager says No, we're playing around with your old debates.
You can't do that, you know.
Euro place 304 so far.
Seven for 23 1 out, one runner on base.
The pitch is in his side, 94 miles an hour.
So goes back with the fastball.
But he has not been able to hit his spot, especially on the first pick on a first pitch, which was most likely gonna be take.
He's got to get that one in strikes on she.
As long as he doesn't get the shoulder wiggle.
It's not good from mats.
Here's the pitch way inside again.
91 MPH that looked like the cutter.
Maybe a slow fastball trying to get things back.
And no, so, yeah, no shoulder wiggle And the catcher is like, OK, but I'm gonna slap your but your folder we go.
A soldier reloads.
The only reason that you're ever good picture mats nods.
OK, well, I mean the oh, he was just coming out.
The catcher Nido coming out to talk to him.
I would to account.
He's no to accountant, struggling so far, one runner on base, one out in the bottom of the second.
Here's the pitch, and it's grounded up the middle o double play opportunity doctors dribble on to the ball truck is to eat.
You need to see what happened here.
So this golf ball Good went up the middle.
Dozer gets it in his glove.
Ghost Bear will.
No way did he go bare handler.
Let's see where we're going to love it.
Love it picks up with.
No, He tried to glove it, but it hit the top.
It is the top of his glove years wrist and either knock up.
He barely grafted to get young go homes.
What is nowhere in year able to Originally, it looked like to me on the original thing.
It looked like he was trying to touch the bag with the ball.
I was not right now, but the runner just not advanced at the end of it.
But they were not just a double play opportunity.
There is trade Turner with two outs.
Well, that's a ball, Kyllo.
Yeah, that looks like a block.
Yeah, I'm not really sure.
I think maybe he stepped off backwards on learn how to fly out in the first.
Here's the pitch.
A way for ball one grabs the rosin bag, the rising bag or I was out that steps back, doesn't do his shoulder wiggle e something's gonna roll around.
The pitch swung on and that is a pop up.
Oh, it's Does it still hurt? Oh, he almost falls with stumbling backwards when he made that crab.
That would have been funny.
Practically three errors.
It almost could have been for Dozer Aid.
One inning, whatever is having an issue right now against his former Josh Harrison with the home run.
Welcome to the Washington Nationals, Josh, that we're glad to have you there.
I'm sure after that.
So that's the end of the second to nothing.
Nationals on top of Metz.
We'll see what Patrick Corbin conduce to try to hold onto this lead.
So I'm wearing a commercial right now.
I think I might have been a little bit ahead of you.
It just tell me if I am and I'll do the pause play.
Once I start announcing, I can't believe behind the ball sports just joined and then left.
I mean, I'm I can't really blame him cause I haven't watched his broadcast for, but I mean that again, I'm gonna blame him.
All right, so let's see. Let's do this question correctly.
Now, you guys make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

No one who it No, it has the faint the page.
It has our actual Facebook account and then it has Doesn't have anyone.
I'm not sure, so I'm confused how it worked.
Okay, Anyway, this is the trivia question.
It randomize the order of the answer.
That's why I picked you the first time, Chris.
It randomize the order, but make sure to answer.
All right, so we're in the top of the third Nats to yet are mets. Nothing.
And the pitch comes in from Patrick Corbin.
That one is that looked like a called strike even though is outside to Andres Jimenez, who was hitting 2 94 this season.
The old one pitch from Corbyn outside Target.
And it does go outside 90 miles an hour to account or no 11 camp.
So let's see you.
The results, Um all looks like Chris Got it wrong.
11 Count the pitch inside 21 Chris, you It must feel bad, too.
Just like not people to run the tribute thing.
You must be so mad right now to one pitch from Corbyn.
That one's low 31 Chris in my head.
No, you're perfect.
Are you? Do you like to delay your calls? Just a little bit, like right after they pitch? No, I was That one was like, right on.
But something like, You're like a millisecond ahead towards Corbyn.
The pitch is swung on and that one is belted over into the right field corner, but it will knock it out.
The right fielder makes the catch over there.
Adam Eaton making the catch.
That one looked like it had the juice to get out.
And I know that that looked like the biggest swing I've seen today.
I mean, the Howie Kendrick one looked like a little.
A little blooper baby would get to the warning track of Josh, Hare said.
I kind of knew was gone, but that pitch was absolutely smoked, but it did knock it out of here.
Didn't even get close.
That one surprised me.
Yeah, I mean, the those calls.
It's always hard, like, not supposed to get too excited over a fly ball, but that one looks like it was coming out one out.
Now Corbyn pitching this one in to the catcher Nieto.
That one is high for ball one, Comas Nieto hitting 3 33 this season in six at bats.
He's got two hits, no home runs or R B.
I's though 10 pitch.
Neto pops that one up.
This one's in foul play.
It looks like it went out into the seats.
So no chance to get that 111 count now for Corbyn, who scratches himself and adjust his necklace.
Maybe that's his key for a good pitch.
Yeah, that's maybe yeah, I mean, I wonder, aren't you not allowed to wear like necklaces? during the game.
I guess you are.
It's clean basketball.
11 pitch that one would look like Eavis, their 64 mile an hour curveball in the dirt to one on Nieto Corbyn.
Working quickly, he puts that one in the zone.
That's a curveball, but 79 miles an hour to two count.
Corbyn's next pitch will be the 35th of the day so far for him, Boss, Someone threw a 41.
7 MPH ball years ago.
That one is absolutely smoked.
It looks like a fair ball going off Carter Key.
Boom all the way over into foul territory.
Nieto will stop it first.
I'm guessing not the fastest guy since he's a catcher, but he gets on base.
That would just rocketed toward keep him and he couldn't handle it.
And Tomas Nieto will get I. But I'm not.
I guess that's probably gonna be ruled in error.
Boom! Yeah, keep going.
Sure to grab that one.
Definitely read it way Rog had is Ah, how does glove all the way down by his knee and it bounced all the way up to his chest.
I mean, he was crouching, so it's not that big of a difference.
But you still a play that a new third baseman trying to earn some trying to show that he can play that position and replacing? Yeah, one of the best tired, probably best for for the Nats last year, and he's got to make that point at the hot corner.
So here's the leadoff guy, Brandon Nimmo, who struck out.
He's over one, and that one.
Looks like he went on the check swing.
The umpire rule.
He went, Oh, and one now for Nimmo.
He struck out of in the first to lead off the game, trying to get something done with the runner.
Neto on first, the Nats on top by two, and we'll see if Nimmo can cut into the deficit.
The pitch to Nimmo is swung on and missed 81 miles an hour.
No balls and two strikes, and the fans and nationals Parker really getting excited here.
I just got out how I was on the border.
Has two strikes of fans are like somebody like 02 strikes like like another complete silence.
The only person away and that will know that rings him up breads and Nimmo not happy that one was clearly outside.
But the ump will ring him up.
Nimmo looks back as he walked to the dugout.
Kind of phased, but not that faced.
How? Wait, Chris, What were you gonna say? I was gonna say that.
That's funny, because the only people who can see the two strike thing are the catcher who basically has to know the count because he's the one calling the pitches and the battle that will use the one who's like It's like, 02 strikes like that.
That's like that scoreboard or whatever.
Managers like friend like show the batter that he has two strikes like that.
So they had no, which is fouled off by JD Davis, who walked in the first inning.
Two outs now one count.
His Nieto step back, firstly, pumps into his first base coach there, um, 01 count with two outs in the inning.
Thank you, Nathan, for joining the broadcast.
Moving at someone, joining a while.
If you want to comment about anything at all, he could do so in the comments.
So neo his leadoff.
Oh, yeah. We gotta ask him the question.
Um, hold on, Nathan.
You got to stay for a second.
I'm gonna ask you question.
01 count that one is way high to Davis.
92 miles an hour.
Let me type in this trivia question, Chris.
You can actually hold on.
Let me just get type this in, okay? I'll call the game.
I'll do the play by play.
Just what you do that they consist.
You guys have such a cool logo.
Is actually designed by the SportsCastr design team.
So is part of being interns.
For some reason, they just decided to send us a logo, So yeah, it was nice to them.
One to count down for, um for Davis Corbyn.
Looking in now he's pitching from the stretch.
But, Chris, you can call this.
I'm gonna try to type it in.
Yeah, Thanks, Nathan.
Okay, here's the pitch.
One to count into JD Davis and that swung on and flied to right, But it is foul.
Ah, in his career was Patrick Corbin is batting to 78 5 for 18 but in five those hits, three of them were home runs.
So when I have a collection has been good connection? I don't know Way we're trying to get some were trying in some answers, because whatever we send these kinds of questions, Chris and I are the only ones who answer.
And so we're trying to get answers here, you know? And one of them, you know which ones.
So if you want to get the correct answer, you know which one to put that one is way inside to Davis.
Come on, Corbyn steps back up to the mound.
Let's see what he said.
Look, I want, like, a longer would go on. Go on.
Oh, wait, no, I forgot.
You can't answer it on mobile.
Oh, yeah, because I don't know what Yeah.
No, no, no, thank you.
OK, but he must be okay.
You can't answer the actual like you can't answer in the actual trivia box on mobile, which is annoying.
But I'm glad you answered it in the comments, but if you had said something different, I'd be even more glad.
So Oh, dude, you Countess Davis fouls that one off.
All right? You'll be proven wrong to Ah Okay, All right, that's enough.
You know he'll be proven wrong this year.
Are fantasy Leak were in the same fantasy league and you listen to the podcast.
We'll keep you updated.
This is a second and gold podcast, so it kind of fits with our show name to two counts.
Corbyn goes into the stretch.
Here comes the pitch that one's fouled off again.
JD Davis making Corbyn work here.
It's still doing, too.
You have very young at that.
Corp is up to 45 pitches.
So not not the easiest of games, even though it's it seemed quick, but he still has quite a few pitches.
Yeah, on deck is Ah, Pete Alonso.
So that's not that's not someone you want to face with two runners on base.
So hopefully Corbyn can end the inning right here, at least for the Nats Sick.
Corbyn is now in the stretch.
2 to 2 pitch with two outs is coming in and it is low 81 miles an hour by a good pitch by Corbyn.
He really missed his spot with the slider.
When he doesn't do much are doing it.
He had to leave on that note.
Oh, I wonder if he listens to the podcaster feed just, like didn't like how it was trying to make myself the correct answer.
No, I can't even see the question.
No, no, I remembered you couldn't do the trivia thing, but he said, How did he know what the answer options were? Oh, he can see the question because it's like sent in the chat 32 pitch swing and a Miss Davis's struck out and the Nationals won't go around the horn as Corbyn gets out of the inning.
So our national had one hit in an error, and we'll go to the bottom of the third in just a moment.
You coordinated that one with Pete Alonso on deck.
It could have been trouble for safety.
Alonso decided to regain his rookie of the year.
Foreman, uh, decide that he was going to be really good, which he has struggled at the beginning.
But maybe he could have pulled Howie Kendrick and going deep, so I'm glad that they were able to get out of that inning await.
Nathan liked our name, too.
I mean, okay, just just so the viewers know the logo is designed by SportsCastr.
The name we made up.
We want to take credit for everything we can, Right, Chris? Yes, definitely.
It's under their half inning of play by play before I turn it over to Chris.
So I better make the most fit.
I'm so hungry for fried chicken watching this Popeyes commercial.
I haven't having late dinner because my parents aren't home right now.
They're bringing something.
And so now you're I'm already home.
Greek having you? I was cheating my throat and you made me look up from my phone to look at Popeyes.
Actually had dinner to have chicken for dinner today.
Um, not Popeyes, but I did have chicken or chicken, and they had some, like, honey and syrup on it, too.
And it's got some fresh biscuits, fresh bread straight out of the oven, and, um, all Popeyes is delicious.
Don't you agree, Chris? Uh huh.
Started lousy coming, but it does look like to check your text messages.
If I were, you know, Chris is texting during their so again bottom of the third inning.
Chris is sending messages about him being like a fantasy stud.
He said the fantasy stud sticker from ESPN stickers and waded here making You heard it from Nathan first, uh, but I guess it's hard being the champ you haven't won in this league.
It's hard, I'm saying, like the champion.
But between OSU Wait, What when it when have you ever beat me like and love? Hear anything ever you traveled? A.
So matter of fact, let's make it not even about crazy.
Like anything ever.
Here's the pitch the out of Eton and that ones that called strike 72 fives an hour.
Also, the up is definitely calling a low strike zone.
Yeah, eaten over one with a strikeout in the first inning.
Chopping on the gum is mats throws in the 01 pitch that was called ball one of one.
All right, I'm gonna stop doing that.
I just it it's looked and do my show.
Them action slipped into its if you like, have air at some point.
Like had a sudden back mats.
The 11 that wants oil strike looked way outside eating.
Not happy with that when he steps out of the box pacing around there, I'm gonna write him up here.
But I'm sure you get a raise or he's gonna come within six feet and that he's gonna get thrown out.
Look, Mats is about to go back to that exact same spot, and eaten is going to strike out swinging.
And then he's gonna be mad at the ump.
The pitch eaten blast that one deep to right.
That's a line drive, but it is caught by Michael Conforto.
That one didn't look like it had the distance for the home run, but that was blasted.
A huge line drive to right cop.
So nothing became of it.
So back in the first thing, I mean, they're showing some replays right now.
We saw the Kendrick home run.
That was a nice blast going low in the zone, Dean out past the bud light homers.
Torp signed thingy.
Max is pitching in to Kendrick, who's back up again 93 mile an hour heater for a strike on the outside part of the zone.
So Kendrick improves his average toe 1 76 with a home run in two r B I's 01 pitches found off to the right and out of play Kendrick seems a little bit weak to the opposite field.
I think he's really good if he gets ahold of it going, going toe left field, pulling it.
But he has that seemed too good for going to the right other than that one home run off the foul pole.
So oh, to count to Kendrick the pitches way high 94 miles an hour.
Yeah, just having some crazy pictures right now, and I think that's what's putting him.
Uh, that's what's causing all these runs at the moment, I think for him you have 56 pitches for Max.
Here comes 57 targets low and it goes low.
That's a ball 84 miles an hour.
Two to account with one out.
Kendrick getting ready here.
Nobody on base Inside Target from the catcher Neto, and this one's on high heat or Kendrick.
It's It's the right and, yeah, he had trouble fighting it off.
He was a little late on that one.
Once again, it and Chris is texting again.
Looks like Chris is texting again, but he don't worry.
I'm looking for some things to send you the wind up in the delivery from mats Kendrick hits that one down into right field for a base hit.
He just slapped that one past the first baseman Steven Matz, struggling a little bit.
Kendrick is two for two so far on the day he pretends to be Oh, Lou, I felt that I felt that, uh, match was pitching Kendrick outside and that that Kendrick was trying to get it off to the right so that I said So.
I said, Kendrick, is it very good going to the opposite field? Oh, you need to be stole it from somewhere.
No, no, no ice, no ice.
I saw, Like the way math was pitching him in the way Howie Kendrick was hitting you Asimo try and hit it a little bit off, so I said he's not that good. Bye.
You know how I said like, there haven't been many singles? Yeah, you know, So I didn't see anything.
So Kendrick is Ah! Oh, no.
Hendrix Two for two.
Today he that one was 101 miles an hour off the bat.
Here's us trouble.
Cabrera, who is single in the first.
He's one for one today.
One out that one is inside and low for ball one.
One account on Cabrera's mats.
He's pitching from the stretch.
Now, with one out in the inning, the Nationals air up to nothing in the bottom of the third.
So Max is looking in and Cabrera getting ready.
Target in the middle and low.
Cabrera hits that one to the backstop.
That one went off the short under the back there and looked like it.
Stung his hands a little bit.
Yeah, those record in baseball.
So 11 count math looking in at the signs is Cabrera steps in very side of pretty good art Inside.
So that one, the target was inside, but it looked like it painted the corner and he got the call.
Chris just sent me something, sent me image.
Let's see what this could be about logging into my phone.
Ah, let's see here.
One to count to Cabrera.
The pitch is swung on and belted down the right field line.
That's another base hit into right.
That one's going off the wall.
Kendrick, heading for third is this.
One gets thrown in.
Kendrick will stop at the corner and it looks like a struggle.
Cabrera got a double here he plays the flute to is about.
We talked about the doubles earlier.
That's come through that said it.
I don't want Trump, maybe Trumpet Flute.
I don't know something, but, anyway, that's Cabrera's third double this season.
He's a triple in a home run away from the cycle, and there are two runners in scoring position with one out now as, Ah, Starlin Castro's about to step up to the plate.
I'm not really sure what the point of that was.
If somebody celebrating you sent that to me No, I have no one like all the confetti going on me because, okay, well, then I want That doesn't really make that much sense.
Castro's one for one with a strikeout in the first one out.
Now, as maths looks in, he's in trouble.
Once again, NASA's bats are lighting up the Mets, even without Sodo.
Yeah, I think one more run and we're gonna see mats out, but we'll see and ah Castro pops that one up to the right and out of play.
Why does he have O B J hair He's over. Always had.
Oh, you got oh, BJ hair kind of the same.
It's the same colors gentle and it's O B J helmet hair.
01 Count His math gets in the set up Target in the middle once again.
Now goes inside, and that's a base hit into right.
A one hopper over to Conforto.
Kendrick will score heading home.
The other runner will stop at third.
Cabrera is at third and storming about right here.
Nothing Nationals as Castro's is standing on first, and that's have an opportunity to get even more runs.
We've had a single, a double eight, a single this inning.
Castro hits that one into right.
Kendrick scores and Cabrera playing it safe, stopping at third.
But the Nats are up three to nothing already own track and their quest to get back to 500.
Yes, so they're starting out strong after that break.
They don't seem to have missed a beat from the two games before they went on that short little break.
Harrison again, we're already had a home run.
Yep, he hit his home run back in the second.
These runners on the corners.
That be a good time for another home run right now? One out in the inning And no, this one's way inside.
It looks like it hit him.
Harrison will step out of the box.
Or maybe it didn't hit him.
It looked like it went like between his legs or something.
It's almost a wild pitch, but Hairston will stay in the box.
Steven Matz is really wild right now, not having a good outing.
The only the bottom of the third.
And let's see Oh, it looks like Wow, he just got away from that one that almost hit him swing and a miss on the low curveball or the low slider.
That was a home run swing right there.
Yeah, she was waiting.
He was waiting on a fastball and was swing all the way then, because it was a slider but couldn't stop himself.
You and the bullpen sue old for the Mets.
So you were right about Mats May be coming out soon.
I thought it was gonna be after that hit by Castro, but I mean, that's a little and you feel like the pitch swing and a miss from Harris, and I was right down the middle, Harrison kicking himself for missing that one to count with one out stars and getting ready to hit.
Here twirls the bad, a couple of times mats pitching from the stretch again.
Target is out on the outside corner and Ah, Harrison fouls that one off.
That hit the end of the bats.
That looks pretty painful.
Still, as Max is about to throw pitch number 70 off the day Cabrera takes his leadoff third, Castro takes his lead off first, both chomping on gum, and Steven Matz pitches it in, and here is a blast to left field.
That one won't get out, though, but it will be deep enough for Cabrera to run home.
It's caught by the left fielder, and Cabrera slides into home and Castro tags up to second.
So Josh Harrison doesn't get the home run that he wanted, but he gets a sacrifice fly.
It's four nothing nationals, and that one wasn't that deep, but I guess, preying on the out.
I mean, it didn't look like the guy and left had as good of an arm, and rarer is able to head home even though he had a bust.
That was good baserunning by Starlin Castro to He kind of predicted that the throw was going to go near the pitcher's mound and ah was able to advance the second.
So really good play by him.
Yeah, now he's in scoring position with two ounce.
That was a very smart play by Castro for nothing.
Nationals in the bottom of the third and ah, Carter key Boom is up now.
You always get the good innings.
That's a called strike.
There inside 78 miles an hour.
01 count Montes is looking in.
Castro has a leadoff second.
01 count the pitch.
That one's low 83 miles an hour in the dirt.
One and 12 Key Boom.
Yeah, but we may hit me.
Maybe seeing some of the last of Stephen Mask mats today.
It's not having a good outing.
The Nazis backs are getting to him.
11 Count the pitches ripped into right field.
That is another single, a one up over Conforto Starlin Castro's rounding thirties heading for home.
The throat of the catcher will not get there in time it is five. Nothing. Nationals.
They're celebrating in the dugout.
That's the third run of the inning for them.
Another single here, Carter Key.
Puts it in the Nats, stringing together some hits.
They're not leaving guys on base, and they're now up five to nothing.
Uh, Steven mastered the shoulder.
We go earlier to get him out of a ah bit of a jam.
But right now, I think that it would have to He basically have to do the warm dance to get out of this.
Castro easily safe at home there.
And Stephen matches sweating, hard sorting buckets.
And you seem very frustrated right now.
Very frustrated with his play, which he should be.
Yeah, Yang go yet beyond Rome's Got re space on the Dozier error back in the second, um, he's still averaging 000 this season.
Hits break. That streak is maths.
Oh, he throws over to first trying to get key.
Boom! He was leaning in and then suddenly whipped it.
Side arm over there.
But G boom gets back safely with two ounce now in the third, that seems like more of a frustration throw than anything to me.
And now he throws over again, trying to keep key.
Boom, close that one more of a soft tones.
So with two outs in the inning, he is bound to face the batter gums and gold is pops that one up behind the plate, the catcher Nieto looking for it.
We'll see if he could make the play and it drops behind him.
He had misplayed that one there. That was weird.
It was sort of went to his mean is facing backwards.
It went to his right and, ah, sort of a little behind him.
He misplayed that one.
That could have been the end of the inning.
And so after that, um, guns will stay alive here.
Yeah, that's going to need some help from his in feel and and his defense.
I mean, does your already had an error? Almost two errors and, ah, almost three years, actually.
And, uh, I don't know if that's an error by no, but, uh, you don't think it is, since it's foul, that one goes back to 1st 01 count.
Still on key Boom.
That's got to be frustrating for math. Who's already struggling.
Now you can't get any backup from his defense.
Me, I'm in the Mets, not known for supporting their pictures, especially with little run support over the years.
Jacob deGrom and notable example 01 count the pitch, swing and miss from key.
Good swing by domes.
He was just a hair late that we could get solid swing right on the right line.
But we've been able to get there in time.
Oh, to count now with two outs, maps, one strike away from getting out of this inning.
Here's the pitch and Gomez fouls it off.
He stays alive for at least another pitch.
Making That's work, which is key.
Here is Max's pitch count gets high.
He's had 52 strikes with only 24 balls.
76 total pitches here.
So he's not doing badly, that's for sure.
Um, it's just his strikes are all, like, right down the middle.
And then his balls airway off, you know? Yeah, here comes the pitch.
That one's low 77 miles an hour.
That one escapes a wild pitch, but key boom did not head over to second.
Yeah, and Matt steps back onto the rubber one.
Do we? Did I miss a pitch? No, I didn't know.
And the one to delivery is swung on.
That's chopped over to shortstop.
The flip over the second gets the runner key.
In time for the third out of the inning.
So now we're gonna head to a commercial break the end of the third inning, the nationals up five to nothing on the Mets.
And Chris will be doing the play by play and will be with you guys for about 15 more minutes.
So Chris will have it until 8 30 When we wrap up.
Yeah, let's run some lights on quickly cause it's getting dark.
Some any outside, like so now when the TV goes dark, it really Oh, yeah.
And so, um, there we go.
Sorry for the bumping of my mike, as I probably should before I did.
Anyways, I'm back.
Tavernier. Mike is muted.
Did you see what I was mouthing? No, I did not Have you didn't.
What were you about? Thing way.
I think your frozen Either that or I'm really being kind.
Rates in something.
No, no, no. L o Okay.
I think I think are things just got a little bit on sink, but we should be fine now.
Oh, you see this championship moment when, baby, when Davey got so mad at the umpire? Yeah, that would not be allowed.
And todo social distancing in all.
Yeah, I think that was on that trade Turner grounder where you may be the first in the World Series.
And it was called off because he ran inside the base path.
Absolutely ridiculous that in the World Series that was not in the world.
Seriously, What are you talking about? Know what it was in the regular season? No, it was not when Davey did that, when Martinez did that, Yeah, it was It wasn't Look, was no.
I could tell you like it.
Why was it daytime then? I can promise you that was not during the World Series.
I mean, well, that that moment that they were showing on the TV was not during the world's years.
Well, we gotta be announcing the game 11 pitched to Alonso.
Oh, this to me, actually. Sorry.
Chris, you should be talking.
21 count to Peter Lanza.
Oh, yeah, It wasn't actually.
Never mind that that play was at a different time, but David Martinez did get really mad.
Here's the pitch to Alonso.
Swelling on a grounder to short.
Trey Turner picks it up.
Roast a first and a good pick by Howie Kendrick.
That one bounce right in front of him.
But he makes a good play.
Ah, Hendrick gives a little smile because he knows he you saved and saved the an error by Turner there, but, uh, good Out.
So, cabin, there was a very similar.
Like Davy Martinez got really mad.
But And that was in the World Series, By the way, That's what I was thinking of.
That you and the Astros shortstop out Pitch.
Teoh Wilson Ramos, Former nationals catcher.
You're so wrong.
Oh, my Ah, Sick of the You're so they don't leave, please. Saw.
But here's the pitch.
It's sort of blast my mike.
In case you didn't notice, in case you didn't notice is trying to blast the mike Actually stopped, actually.
Why? Why why we were like, yes is what happens when Catholic Christ a broadcast for too long through. Okay.
Without a single to right, Adam eat and Adam Eaton picks it up.
But I didn't remember Wilson Ramos.
This is her cabin five enjoyment when just blasting everyone else was like everyone.
It's just you, all the listeners.
Well, it's funny to blast you, not black not to place listeners.
I don't enjoy Blast you.
Here's Michael Conforto at the plate with one out in the fourth.
I thought you were supposed to be doing the broadcasting.
Chris, you're not even talking.
Well, yeah, because I was distracted.
Here's ah, Michael Conforto at the plate.
That one's low for ball 1 50 just for Patrick Corbin.
Stop! You tell me that you get a reaction.
It's funny to get a reaction out of it.
You tell me to concentrate on the broadcast and then you do that.
Okay? I'll try to get back.
Here's the pitch from Corbyn's and it is down and away.
All those funny.
Yes, I'm broadcasting right now.
Okay, I'm trying.
Right now and I'm everyone's hearing what you're saying, Grizz.
You heard that, right? Yeah. Okay.
Here's the pitch to a, uh, comported.
And that one is a way for ball 33 No, Council Corbyn is struggling a bit.
At the start of the inning, I was able to get really than a lot of a single and a 30 count.
It's not fun if I don't get a reaction.
Three account right down the middle.
All right, down the middle.
Better watch out.
There's the student.
Michael Conforto always happens with That's over an hour.
Okay? That one is what? That one is really deep.
And that is gone when Gene is it? What? What? It's not about the touch. First base.
Uh, why did you tell him, Umpire? You should have told him.
Then you would have been out.
Well, I think he made it. I don't know. You might have remembered.
We'll see anyway.
Well, yeah, That's a two run shot for Conforto.
Kendrick was at the wall.
That one just went over.
So we really need to get Chris.
That was a home run call.
You had a chance at that.
I'm sorry. I was distracted by subway towels.
Oh, my bad Calvin looks.
It's fun. I think it's funny for the viewers.
It's not like he did one call this next over.
If we were on national TV, that would be another matter.
But this just like you like what is? Osher comes out swinging, and that one is deep to center.
Fields of Victor Robles has got it.
Robots made that one look a little bit harder than I think it actually was, but he makes the grab, so that's all that matters.
All right, Two outs in the inning.
Ryan Cordell have a line out in the second, so he's over one number 18 for the New York Mets.
Corbyn pitches, and that is a curveball right in there.
So the 1st 2 runs for the Mets they have cut the lead from 5 to 3 off that comport a homer.
Another curve, another curve ball.
A little bit of a faster 1 81st with 70 through this one was 80.
But it is an ode to count nonetheless corporate pitches, and that one is swung on and missed butts.
He almost gets the first base to stop eat at the throw.
If he wasn't mad at himself kicking the dirt and getting matted himself, he would have made it to first base, but and said he is out. Manager.
Can't be happy about that one.
That's the end of the inning.
You wanna wrap up, Chris? I think I have toe Get going.
Yeah, I appalled.
Okay. Anyone's eaters.
But, um, we're done.
All of us on Twitter at SC Sports talk.
Check out the second goal. Finished podcast.
Thanks for watching, does it, Captain? Does it count as a second? A second stream of the week? If I do it, Uh, I'm probably not no part.
