I don't care whatsoever.
Let's let's get people in here.
How's my sound of my sound? Okay, um, I'm doing this like a little preemptively, so give me a sec as everybody's coming in.
What's up? Hope everybody's doing well.
I'm pulling up the chat.
You guys know the drove? Um I don't know what the hell just happened from being If I'm being honest with you guys, I have no idea what just happened.
And ah, and that was the craziest basketball game I've watched in.
I don't even know how long I I honestly cannot I on hold? Uh huh.
Oh, Jared Allen.
Jared Allen tweeted out it.
Ah, at birds nets telling him to get a to get a tattoo that this is the most hilarious afternoon that caps it all.
If you don't already know, go to Jared Allen's profile right now, And, uh, and and go and go see his most recent tweet.
That is absolutely 100% hilarious.
Justin Anderson was great tonight.
I don't know what I if you can tell, I can't even put words in just sentences right now because that made so little sense.
So let me start off the top and ice and let me say Hats off to Jacque Vaughn for making a change.
I was planning to write about in this trending up, training down column, which, if you guys don't know training up, turning down is a Siri's that I do where I write about 2 to 3 things that I like and three things I don't like.
The zone defense is going to be one of my notes.
And Jack Von made that instantly, like he made that change and it was huge.
Um, it gave the Bucks. It's on a trouble.
It took away the painted area, which I'm not sure how they managed to do that, and it kind of exposed the one big thing with the Bucks, and that is that they have a team that's very willing to shoot threes, but they don't have any necessarily excellent three point snipers.
So that's my big thing right here.
Uh, and and let me just say, like I talked to bottom, I feel like that was like 19 players best games ever.
So, like Moussa, that was the best game I've Maybe ever seen him play.
Um, you know, Chris Geos.
It was amazing today and just move the ball so well and really got the offense harmony.
I think he's such an important part to what they do.
I really hope he's around next year.
TLC was, is, I guess isn't gonna miss in Orlando.
Like I don't I don't even know what to make of this anymore.
The guy just will not miss, um, was absolutely incredible.
Dante Hall gave them a lot of energy.
Like they just got energy from their roster, you know, one through nine in a way that I just couldn't have.
So that is And yes, the only guy who didn't play well was rodeo school works who has not shot the ball well, And I'm hoping the jump shot comes around because I think that was gonna be a big thing.
Of what? Of what they do.
Well, that is a good point. Who is that? Right here.
This is at waved out.
Oh, it's up. Good to see Roe.
Um, so so that's what That's my biggest notes right now.
I thought Jeremiah Martin was a nice little spark.
If he could just hit those, you know, pull up jumpers off off a couple of dribbles.
I think that greatly enhances what they're doing out there.
But, I mean, as a whole.
Like, I don't know, that was the most fun I've watched.
I've had probably watching the Nets this season.
I just I really can't pick another another game.
I'm gonna look at some stats right here, while we kind of, you know, see, See what the drill is and how many people are gonna be coming in and out of here this afternoon.
But, um, Luca Bro is a big spark for me.
I thought that Garrett Temple obviously it was nice to see him break that slump.
You know, he has not shot the ball well, and he was one of the early guys where I was like, Boy, is Garrett Temple gonna be the reason that they don't? They don't pull this game out his minutes upto like that.
Second half were just so bad.
And I just, you know, again like not to bring this call him up again.
But he was going to be a trending down guy for me these first couple of games.
Now I think he's I mean, that's who Garret Temple's been this entire.
And, yes, I honestly think this game was more fun than the Celtics game.
I'll say that right now, Um, but no, I mean with Garrett Temple like, that's kind of who he's been this whole year.
He's definitely streaky.
I don't feel Ah, I don't feel like that's too bad of a thing to say about him at all.
He's just been that way of this whole entire year for the Nets, and, um, and I'd expect that to be more of the same from him.
But, you know, he was a big I'm excited to go through and look through some of these clips.
This game was your so fast.
That was the other thing, like my goodness, this game was I could barely keep up.
I keep you know, I take notes during these games, and, um, I have a lot of things I need to rewatch because I honestly could barely understand what was happening on the floor.
There was just moving around so fast, and there were so many threes and the Nets were just I honestly just ran him out of the gym like they ran the Bucks out of the gym and I don't know what I would say if I'm Milwaukee.
I probably wouldn't really fret because you want a lot of games, but very uh, very, very crazy.
And yes, I do think it's more I just me personally.
That was the most fun I've had watching the Nets this entire year.
Hey, just once, um, they had awards for team development.
Step nets would win every year.
Let's be honest.
Yeah, they're They're very good at finding these fringe guys.
Like that's That's what Marx has gotten.
That's how they found all these guys like Jared Allen, who they picked late in the draft course the prime examples being Dinwiddie Joe Harris.
Um you know, they had David Nawab A this year who? I hope he returns strong in Houston.
But this is this is what they dio they just They play on the fringes and they and they do what they've got to dio and, um and you know, TLC.
There are nights like this where it's like, Yeah, is this the next three indie guy that that they have come across? I don't know.
I mean, this is this is reminding me of one TLC first came out the gates against the Mavericks in that game.
Must have one of his first games in December, maybe January and, um and yeah, I mean, just, you know, when he's making that jump shot, he's Ah, he's very, very valuable.
Very, very valuable.
I thought that, you know, Tyler Johnson didn't shoot that well, either, but I thought he was good today.
Um, I like the way he pressures the Cup.
And the rebounding was really nice toward the end.
And I just liked his minutes.
Um, other guys that I thought stood out.
I've mentioned Jeremiah Martin, who's just a pest defensively, like one of those guys that I'm like, Boy, like I've been clamoring for a defensive guard like a Chris done or somebody like that.
But do it if that's what he's able to dio, then, like they might already have that version of their of their Chris done or their Michael Carter Williams or their Gary Payton.
The second, like whatever guy I've thrown out in the past, like I mean, he's he's a monster, he makes it tough and he gets deflection gets in your jersey like that play at the end of the game where you just ripped Dante de Vincennes.
I believe that's who it was.
That was That was a big play.
That's a very rare thing to see at the guard position.
Just somebody that's that terrorizing on that end of the floor.
All right, let me look at some, uh, some some comments here.
Any word on why, you honest Chris Middleton didn't play in the second half.
Probably because they had awful energy and they were like, we're just gonna We're just gonna let our bench figure this one out.
I mean, I thought that was a little weird, but I just think the like Their energy was so bad they didn't want to make, you know, expose that those guys or put them in a disadvantageous situations.
So, you know, I mean, I think that but must have realized right away that this is probably not gonna be the game that they were looking for.
Um, Jacque Vaughn was on his feet the entire game, directing the game, playing the bucks game.
I saw that on Twitter last that Wizards game I saw this in passing that like he wasn't aggressive enough.
I honestly have loved Jacque Vaughn so far.
I think he's been excellent, and he's my leading candidate to have that job next year.
He's he tries things.
The players seem to love him.
I'm really a fan.
I'd love if they did a little more zone coverage in the next couple of weeks.
And that was a change that he made pretty quickly and something that, you know, I was really hoping they would make. And they did it quickly.
Um, I really hope no Wahba recovers.
Well, yeah, me too.
Ah, they didn't beat ya, honest.
Really? Cause they said him basically for 3/4.
Well, what they did today was they said, let's let all the other guys beat us like we're not gonna stop.
Be honest, nobody is going to stop you on us, but especially the nets, who don't have anybody with the required size to even match up with him.
So they said, Yeah, like, let's let all these other guys beat us.
And And it worked today, Um, it really did.
And I think That's something that the Bucks need to figure out is Hey, what what is our third and fourth option? That's always been a question for them.
Who is their third and fourth option? I said I should say, uh what I think of Dante Hall.
I think he gives a lot of energy.
I'm curious to see what he's like is a rebounder.
Um, I know what he is as a roller.
He's a solid screen, said.
I don't think he's excellent, but he's definitely an energy guy.
Um, those guys are always really hard to read, though.
I think I need a little more of a sample with him, but I like what he did today.
Is Jeremiah Martin the next Tory Craig? Uh, you know, like in terms of being a good defender? Yes, but probably not, because Tory Craig's like a four.
So, um, I would say he's a little bit closer to some of the guys I mentioned earlier.
Like, you see a Chris done type.
I mean, Chris stands a little taller, so maybe is he like a Pat Beverly? That's probably the best example of that.
What's up? Brooklyn Nets UK good to see you guys.
Yes, Justin Anderson played well to thank you for letting me know.
Yeah, that deep three that he hit.
What was he like 28 feet out? Alright.
Justin Anderson, Do you? Dante Hall is better.
Has been better than Lance Thomas.
Yeah, Lance, Tom has been the one negative for me so far.
Um, hey, he has not looks great so far.
I'm trying to see if I five snubbed anybody.
I don't think I really have.
I mean, even Jamal Crawford was like, I feel like Jamal Crawford was the catalyst to them playing so well.
Like he just gave them such great energy.
And it's a shame he got hurt after six minutes, but, um, he I feel like he really was a breath of fresh air.
So, um, so that was That was pretty Ah, those pretty hilarious here point what happened with, uh, with John.
With JD, she owes a tweet that j d.
I got to check my mentions.
Have I said anything that's gonna get tweeted at? Um, sorry.
This is super not entertaining.
I'm trying to figure out what Chris Geos I just said Twit Nets Twitter is on fire today.
Sorry, I'm gonna answer some of these questions, but let me see.
Why was everybody saying they'd get tattoos? To be fair, I said back in February that if the Nets get Anthony Davis, I'll dye my hair bleach blonde and drop a 30 track mixtape.
You could find that tweet somewhere on the Internet.
So So I guess I have said some pretty crazy things to That's hilarious, man, I got to share some of these these air so good.
Looking at Twitter is like the worst content for that's really Meadow of me, too.
Do a Twitter stream and talk about Twitter.
But there you go.
That's That's what we're doing today.
Um, Tyler Johnson wasn't very good today.
I disagree, actually, kind of like Tyler Johnson.
Um, and I don't know.
He hasn't shot the ball well, but my real test for Tyler Johnson was like, What does he look like when the shot isn't falling? And I actually think he's been pretty good.
He's pretty good at getting over screens.
I love that he crashes the boards, and I really like that he tries to get to the basket and draws contact.
That's really refreshing for this team specifically because they just don't have guys that are able to do that right now.
Like I love Christiane.
Christiane is not really going to go to the rim and try to draw a foul and said he might do like a kick out past to a shooter.
But Tyler Johnson pressuring the basket like that is big for them.
I respect Dante offer.
Always contesting the dunk.
Contested dunk. Yeah.
I, uh I forgot about that.
Dude, how did like this is so much happen in the last hour? So much? Look, I don't understand how we just had six million notable things.
Um, happened in the span of 2.5 hours.
Like I That was like sensory overload for me.
How are our ball handlers able to attack the pain all day is the number one defense.
Your guess is as good as mine, my friend.
I think part of it was not having Brook Lopez.
And I hate to bring that up because I know everybody is very excited about this.
Do Brook Lopez issue like this was a a a big testament, Teoh.
Why? I think Brook Lopez should be in like the defensive player of the year.
Talks like really be in the top three because the Nets like and I like Robin Lopez a lot.
I think he does a lot of the same things as Brook Lopez, but man like they just got into the pain a lot easier.
Like not having Brook Lopez.
They're contesting shots is like a huge difference maker.
Jeremiah nearly broke divan Shen's ankles.
I gotta rewatched. I don't remember that.
I'm telling you, there's so much that happened.
I don't even remember every highlight.
I can't even keep track of it.
Um, let's see here.
Massive positive to see these guys put out this level performance with C. L V.
Allen and Harris all out.
Yeah, I don't I just can't believe that I don't know, I That was a very good sign.
I mean, the thing that I want to give I want to give credence to is is what Jacques Von was able to do and empower his players like that.
That takes that takes some Ah, some balls as a team and as a coach to be like, Hey, we're playing a historically great team that is blitz teams by, like, 12 points or more in most of their games.
And we're missing.
There are really only three riel rotation guys like I like a lot of these guys.
I don't know what they're gonna if they're gonna be integral parts of this of this specific Nets team next year.
I really don't know, but to come out there and and and play these bucks like this is just fantastic.
And I it really comes down to to what, the, uh, toe what Jacque Vaughn was able to do.
You're supposed to be the defensive twin.
Um, who are we talking about? Jeremiah Martin? Because I'm curious to know what you mean.
Ethan was Justin Anderson poster after you should be honest, cause the honest might have told but to take him out.
Um, I'd have to look, I'd honestly have toe Look, I mean, I'll have to look at the sequence, but I believe the the when when Yonas got pushed down on the poster was right towards the end of the second of the second quarter, I believe, But I got to Check that again.
Jacques Von Through Katie and Kyrie 100 bus pregame.
Think he'll be the coach? Where? When did that happen? Wait, What? What do you mean he threw them under under the bus? I'm curious.
About what? That what that means at all? Um, I didn't see that to be.
I was on a podcast, like, right before the game started, actually, like, lead into right when the when tip off was So if I missed that, I apologize.
I'm going to go.
I'm gonna have to go peep that now.
Oh, Your time by Robin Lopez.
I mean, you know, I You look at their defensive numbers especially like the field goal percentage around the rim and there close in terms of Robin and Brook Lopez.
But, Brooke, I just I mean one.
Robin Lopez is mostly going against backups, and sometimes they'll even play him next to Brook Lopez.
So that can also help his stats, I think a little bit, but Brook Lopez is a forcing him in, you know, all by himself, like he's awesome.
And yes, a lot of it's playing next to you, honest, but, um Brook Lopez is the guy that protects the rim.
It'll cost like and he does.
He's one of the best in the league.
And it doesn't make any sense considering where he started.
But that's what he is now.
Some credit to him.
Um, let me see if I'm gonna see if I have any.
Because sometimes I have comments in the actual in the actual stream post.
All right, let me see one thing.
So we going for the seven seed or not? Um, yeah, right.
Like why? If you feel like you can, you can, because I still don't think you want to play the bucks in the first, right? They've looked weird.
And the the Raptors have looked unbelievable, really since getting into the bubble.
But, um but I still don't think you'd want to play honest and Rome one like you, Honest.
You have to imagine they're gonna up his minutes, Hopefully if if but doesn't do what he did last year and keep him, like, under 30 minutes a game.
Hopefully they up his minutes, But, um but yeah, I mean, I I wouldn't want Teoh.
I wouldn't want to see the bucks, especially now, because, um because basically, they're gonna take this matchup personally.
It's gonna be like the MJ do***entary where he's like I took that personally, It's gonna be like that.
But for a Siri's any games, will we beat the Bucks? And I made that joke five games.
We'll let the bucks get one.
That's fans are wild today.
Prediction for Boston Game How are you feeling for this game? Knowing tonight's results? Um, first off, having a back to back sucks.
So that's not ideal.
Um, am I right? That games tomorrow, right? Because don't the the Celtics are on a back to back as well, right? Am I right about that? Because they're playing Miami tonight.
I write about this.
Yeah, so that's a double back to back housing.
Do you see that? That's a weird one, I feel.
Could you can I dare I say it? I feel not terrible about it because both teams are on a back to back, and that Miami matchup is, like, kind of a little tricky for the Celtics.
I I don't think the Celtics have looked amazing just yet, like they looked really good when Jalen and Jason went off, but I, uh I I don't know.
I I like why? I mean, here's the thing.
So the zone defense works really well against the Bucks.
I don't know if that's the look.
You necessarily want to dio against the Celtics just because, you know if you're dropping your big back like like they were today, especially with Jared Allen back and playing a little bit more of his own.
That gives up the pull up three pointer, and that's like what the Celtics are good at.
I actually wouldn't mind if they tried doing a switching defense next game, just because, um, just because that Celtics team isn't like, huge at any one position, So I think you could maybe get away with it a little bit easier, so I don't know.
It all depends on what Von does.
It will be another good test for him, though, to see if he's gonna flip back to what they were running the first couple of games because actually could see a switching defense working a little bit better.
Your there's gonna be no seismic, not as many size mismatches, I should say, like we saw in those first couple of games especially when you have plays like, you know, like I don't know.
Christiane is a guarding Aaron Gordon on the block.
Like I don't think you'll have that quite as much.
So yeah, maybe I would I would be interested to see what he throws out there.
I'm gonna cut this one a little bit short today.
I got to eat some food.
I haven't eaten anything today just to let you guys know it's a little bit quieter in here.
I think I kind of missed the mark and when to start this.
But, uh but I, uh I need to eat because I have a podcast at 5 30 with the buzz with my guys Nick Faye and Jack Manuel.
So I got to get off a little bit earlier today, but this has been very fun.
I'll answer a few more and then we'll get out of here.
Vonn was asked about Katie Kyrie.
Vonn said they don't participate in any Nets meetings.
Is that a shot? I mean, that's me.
I guess that is kind of your putting them out there like that.
That's that. Great.
But I mean, I guess they're not in the bubble So would you like Skype them in? I don't know.
I don't know if I would read into that too much, but I do need to see the full context of the quote.
So that's an interesting one.
That's something to keep an eye on.
Don't bet it's at.
Yeah, I Well, I only bet I said this earlier.
I only ah said I would dye my hair bleach blonde.
If Anthony Davis comes with the Nets, which I feel pretty good about right now, I don't think he's coming.
Q b a Don't fit, though, huh? Um, yes, caress does love the Celtics.
Great point, Doug.
I feel like back to back storms.
Crucial one. There's no travel on.
Everybody's in the same place.
Yeah, I agree with that, partially.
But I do think you're still playing two games in a row.
So especially at the way that I'm assuming that books well, the the Heat Celtics game is going to be pretty tight and competitive.
I would just keep an eye on that.
I could see both those teams actually being pretty exhausted in that situation.
Alright, guys, I'm signing off.
I know this one a little bit shorter, but ah, but I just I have this This game has taken over my day.
I need to go through a bunch of film later, so I need to, you know, feed myself and make sure, um, I don't decomposed into a pile of hunger and and whatever.
So so that's it.
Bigs, My man, you are just in time for me to leave.
Good to see you.
We need not telling the team next year a great big Yes, I do Like I think it was Brooklyn.
It's Brooklyn Nets 85 saying that he should be on a two way spot.
I wouldn't mind.
I just need to see if he can rebound.
Um, because he's a little undersized, but he's got great energy, and I like that.
He tries to block shots, and I just you know, I like him.
He's got good energy, but we'll see, uh, definitely need to see a little bit more from him, just in terms of sample, but yes, with that, guys, thank you all for watching.
Keeping this one short.
We'll be back tomorrow for that nine PM Celtics game should be a good one.
Hopefully, it doesn't run too late.
It probably will, though, So we'll see.
Well, it might be another short string tomorrow, but with that thank you guys for watching.
I'll see you guys next time piece.
