What's going on? Gorgeous George and goes here Ready for another Wednesday on SportsCastr junkie radio on sports Cap. Mr.
Yeah, this is the actually becoming one.
My favorites of all the things they do all week because of just the fact that it's live and it's in video.
So it's kind of a little bit more of a connection.
Um, the girls are you doing today good? Nobody and have to go there.
Is that it Goes on Instagram and Twitter.
Got a favourite sweater you got going on there.
What's going on? Somebody had.
I know when I want to talk about was another Was it another fire? Some of throwback pic or sometimes a throwback? Bigger watts.
It was like, wasn't it blue and red? I don't know.
I just know it's like a really close and years ago I saw that.
Who is it? I don't know.
I cracked the just about I could hold onto it and here I am, failing at it.
But anyway, have you update everybody today we're gonna recap you.
Have you have sees Siri's called Inuit Contender series on Tuesday nights? They started in the ready to begin.
I believe it's gonna be a 10.
We run through, like, the first week in October, every Tuesday, and we'll be here on what is there to recap? What happened? Tell you who the new UFC fighters are.
Because if you win your fight, then Dana, what decides who goes in? It used to be more gangster when only one person got in.
But I can appreciate that more than one getting in at this point.
Do you remember that when we would play the game ago, he just like me needed to him or she just eliminated her or whatever.
And then all of a sudden, I think even let or in one week? So now it was just win and win impressively.
What you think of that I don't like Well, well, I mean, we're gonna jump into the last night earlier.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
And will pick up the latest news, obviously, in the sport of mixed martial arts, and we will preview the UFC fight card on Saturday and belt or they have a fight.
Cardinals because? Well, well, what I didn't like was I feel like, and maybe because it was the first uh, the 1st 1 of this season.
I felt like maybe he was pressured to give out more contracts.
I don't know that that three contracts deserved to go out.
I really didn't know When you look at the level of talent that goes on in these divisions, when you see some great fighters getting cut, I didn't I didn't think I think maybe one contruction cuddle.
Well, remember, though, just winning and being completely it sucks because you can win and look good, but sometimes like your your opponent, she's not game, you know, like it doesn't.
Yeah, you got your land? Yeah.
You destroyed your opponent.
Your opponent wasn't really that great.
So what does that say? You know, that could happen on the regional scene.
That happens all the time.
You men and guys don't get select with USC.
So I think maybe, he said, comes to a little bit of pressure and he ends up just given the contract away anyway.
And remember, that's cool and all.
And everybody, we're all OK.
The guy his dream came true, but don't forget somebody else's dream get smashed and somebody has to be taken off the roster and I just don't know that the guy that we're replacing on with is really worth it Sometimes.
Well, normally I would agree with everything you just said, except in the pandemic, Would have noticed is the roster.
The whole roster isn't after disposal.
So he might be thinking We need bodies, you know, because if you think about it, remember when we had juicy Julian Arosa, Justin Jaymes, Gustavo Lopez, all guys that have been battling juicy to get back in James and Gustavo Lopez, obviously with dream toe, continue, you know, on the belt for the UFC on also boom boom boom opportunities.
Two days notice.
Three weeks, three weeks notice, one day notice, whatever.
And they got in.
I don't mean to disrespect guys does.
Look, just the change did he went in there, polished off Frank Camacho.
Who stumble Oppa's one elbow right that he gave Merab dollars.
Really? And then Julian Derosa.
He want to know if I'm not mistaken, he may have also taken a bonus, so it's not like they didn't rise to the occasion.
They didn't prove that they belong there, but, um, I don't know that part of the normal cycle if they would have been available to be called on.
So it could be that Dana goes back there, um, making Sean say, Don't forget, we're still filling up.
You have C fill in the blank on on ESPN and ESPN.
Plus whatever the CART fight Siri's is, they may be looking out to fill it out.
So I probably if he wanted to do a couple weeks of just straining everybody out.
If if he has a couple of rough weeks and he only goes with one that maybe he would get people to shape up what? For example, last night I was pleased with what I saw.
I thought there was a horrible decision, by the way.
I got to know our I'm sorry.
One bad scorecards together.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
We're here. Let's go over your classes.
Start with Dana.
Weight contender series.
It was called 27.
Or season 1st 1 was we were the first to at the Tuck, Jim.
And then one year.
Yes, it was a season for Episode one or overall.
The results are swallows the first fight.
Yeah, here we go.
Uh, Justin, love that defeated Liu Florence.
Now, this fight, I have no issue with the way it broke down.
Uh, floors is a submission wizard.
So, like Dana was saying, What you doing? Taking this guy down? It turns out we kind of know of this kid, Levet.
He wrestled here in Las Vegas.
Vegas boy, Vegas kid.
Biggest man is gonna be a dad soon, and ah, so love it, you know, may not have the actual jiu jitsu skills that floors has.
But when you blend everything in, uh, you know, e, I wouldn't say it was a slam.
I mean, I guess itwas floors was actually pulling guard, but either way, he had it.
He had an impressive submission on his own, yet your arm triangle did it in the first round.
Then he started just connecting with the audience.
You know what I mean? He had some moves.
He talked a good game.
He was a local Vegas guy right away.
You knew that I was gonna be talked to be if they were only gonna have one contract.
So he did his job.
Then we get to Jerome Rivera versus least Rodriguez act that Roger was one.
And I bet Rivera so when they called Rivera's mammals.
Like who? Okay, I'm getting a couple back here, you know, because I've got screwed so much over the years that it's nice to get a couple and and this is where I think you're saying 30 27 is the most ridiculous thing ever.
I think there were 2 30 27 There was going the other.
I mean, I was, you know? Yeah.
I thought he won two judges that night.
Said not only did he not when we didn't even think he want around now you left for sure.
For a sure it tonight.
And then I thought he had another 10 9 Where you know where you go when you look at it on the other way. I don't even think that.
So I knew one. He had one.
And then I think the other one was just who he got. I'm OK.
So I actually had a 29 28 for Rodriguez.
What have been covering this sport for a really long time? There's no way I could be that are off with another.
Just I thought this guy one and that I say Not only did he not let you didn't even went around it made no sense.
And even the commentators were kinda making jokes at the end like it was just that that night.
It was poor judging that night.
I mean, I don't understand.
And the kid when they read out the other guy's name, he didn't even really have this, like, look of disgust, er cooking when he gave that the standard like, uh, you know that that type of look, But my job would have dropped to the floor if that would have happened.
I mean, I'm looking for many decisions to see, uh, who the judges were.
I looked last night and it wasn't up.
There aren't enough they including, like, a tender series or not.
That should professional bouts.
But I'd like to see who who came to the to these decisions on two more crazy too.
Social media agreed with the disagree with official call.
Luis Rodriguez fought till the bitter end to I mean, that guy, man, he had a motor on him.
Uh, if there was ever gonna be someone that almost got a contract.
In fact, Dana White said, Boy, both of these guys, they're young.
They're gonna be in the UFC one day.
I think it's in putting both in right then and there because 11 and the other one just shown so much heart and should have won.
I'm wondering if Luis Rodriguez wins.
If I if he doesn't get in because Dana thought you want.
I think in the end these young, very young and he belongs to a market that they really want to infiltrate.
I don't know. This is a smart decision.
I'm Millet or and I see it means just like, uh, you know, English premier.
Soccer is where we fall, right? When there is a young guy with talent, you take that risk and I'm belt or I swallow that kid up right now.
Are you telling me that that's what he can dio? And on top of everything, he's only going to get better than sure.
Yeah, I pulled it ice.
I don't think he's asking for very much money.
I think you just wanted to get in on a big show.
I'm here both of their stories that did come through some rough times.
I swallow those guys that quick.
I don't mind me.
Yeah, those would be the type of fighters I go after will for sure.
Actually, I think Rivero, I just get another chance on contender.
She's I don't be both, Do you? Honestly, fights keep falling off, I think to come up.
Um, I would expect that to happen soon.
Did them winding up somewhere.
Okay, the next fight was euros. Mitch.
He defeated Mikey Gonzales v a T k o punch.
Is this happened in round one? Manage again? Man did his job and he looked good.
Not only that, I mean, he just had this commanding presence in the Octagon, and they used a smaller after going to so that action was forced.
Um, think Mikey Gonzalez.
You know, he was He had a really, really nice fancy kicks.
He kept going to the well, a little bit too much.
But then hand started coming in from manage.
Um he was just bigger.
I joked around on Twitter that looked like a Walter waivers.
You know, it looked like the growing McDonald versus Cody guard brown and look Odegard grounds, one of the meanest Iscariot stewed you'll ever meet.
I don't think he fears anybody, but Cody Garden is a regular sized man away, maybe even undersized, who's struggling to go toe finally.
So that goes to show you how undersized used at 1 35 Android McDonald is a solid 1 70 who actually even moved up to try and find out 1 85 At one point I get skate Carbon Saucy didn't go his way, but still he's just on the bigger side, and that's just what it looked like.
So, congratulations that arose. Manage.
Ah, you have a feeling that he was gonna be in a swell And if the only took one contract, if I was love it, I'd be sweating.
I love it, was more charismatic, and he had the old Vegas thing on but managed in like, the type of prospect I would want to lose.
So I understand how tempting it is for Dana White to go.
Whoa, now what I do.
Plus, like I said, this pandemics just really flipped the sport upside down.
The UFC needs bodies, North American based bodies and then for the Yas Island shows they bring in the rest of the roster.
Their hands are tied a little bit.
So to me, it looks like if they're gonna have 42 events this year, I'd say 30 will be in the United States, at least.
And the rest will be on Fight Island.
Or some may have already happened before the pandemic.
It so, uh, see your next up? Justin.
Excuse me. Defeated tai floors.
Dustin, I thought, or her being he was the referee.
T I thought in the second round he could have stopped it.
I wasn't screaming.
I wasn't outraged.
I just thought he could have stopped the fact that he didn't and type floors, actually came back and do some wicked knees, toe end, round two, and had a little bit of momento going in around three.
Maybe a validated What her being felt and saw.
Is that a way better sheep than any of us? He he is right there.
He can not only see it sense it, feel it, smell it.
He knows an ending when you've seen one, um, you let them go on around three.
Jacoby was really, really tired.
Well, they both were, and Jacoby could not finish.
Floors and floors didn't pull off the miracle comeback.
So I was thinking, Oh, boy, Jacoby might like I might not be able to make it if he's only taking finishers housing in the step of paying for the year.
They look just like your ass off and you're in.
I want finishes one per card.
And this is only four fights, folks.
Imagine that 51 of the law.
Uh, but he was able to bring in Dustin Jacoby, who had been in the UFC before, had finally have seen at least five or six years.
He was able to stop arrester from getting the bites of the ground.
Yeah, it's a really, really nice hands.
Um, good looks home.
I think something that you see can get behind and market and promote.
So Dustin Jacoby is in Israel, and there you have it.
That's in Jacoby arose.
Levett had it only been one.
I think he goes with manage Quarrel of that would have been What do you think or does the negative? The problem with Levet was Flores Flores was super tough, but skill wise.
I don't think he really showed much.
So I mean, that was just beating on him, which is what he should dio.
But we couldn't really tell if that that would happen if we put somebody else in front of him.
So I would probably pass on the bit. Mm.
I honestly, I think I think I would, um, manage did his job.
And he had personnel.
He said about Mikey installs you didn't look backward and he kept on the same spinning kick.
Yeah, import to the head.
And I think it landed nice and clean one time, but a looked undersized be didn't really How was that? He folded broke early, but I think Beltre was saying he doesn't want to be in there.
There was a time where I think he saved himself.
You know, the referee was saying show me something, but you know what hurt him? Was he? He gave the whole me and my brother were gonna be the new Diaz Brothers, and he didn't display that DS toughness.
I guess not really know? Yeah.
Anyway, that's that's kind of what I've been last night on.
Then we found out some news.
What's stepped on? A little bit of new looks.
Winds are gusting beyond, uh, he's working to attack his shoes right up.
And so any second going, we do have a question.
Says, what do you think can replace your here if, uh, beat are in this of the fight For me, it's cater Ortega.
So running back with the beat and cater you kind, would you? Honestly, the guy that I think fits the most It would be a fun fight, Mrs.
I think that would be a fun or fight.
He He's dealt with guys like that before with length. He's really good.
He's a smart fighter.
Um, I would love to see those two table.
I just don't see that happening.
I don't know what's gonna happen.
Get air Rodriguez Obamacare.
He's out of his fight has gotta hang on a second fracture.
So the good thing is, it's not for knee ligament.
It's not a Tauron shoulder like a labor.
Um, those are usually the nine month one year, uh, injuries.
So I don't like broken osteoporosis.
So I'm plugging someone in.
I think I'm plugging in the zombie.
Just think he sellable and he goes along with what the UFC wants.
So then what am I doing with Holloway? Well, I guess you could give him the bee, the young Callum or Calvin.
And then that leaves Ortega to take the other guy.
I ve given Calvin and that leaves that horse.
I'm right there and then you're here when he's back, Maybe he takes one of those guys on.
You know, we proceed.
We find out who wins between the zombie and broken off ski.
But yeah, and I understand that Dana wants to get Holloway in, and once he fixates himself on something, it's hard to really get him away from that.
But I don't think there's anything wrong with our right, although we just win one and then we'll somehow get you back in that title picture.
But straight into the title picture, look Yes, he got arguably robbed in the second.
I I thought he won.
I thought it was clear that he won.
I was shocked to give it the woken house key.
I'm not calling for an investigation into the judge's suddenly it was robbery.
You know, But I do feel pretty strong about like it wasn't like, don't even in the hands of the judge.
I'm not saying that.
No, I feel strong that Holloway won that fight.
But remember, the 1st 1 was clear.
So he actually got a gift to get into the sickle, and ah, so could be another gift.
You know, you get you gotta shake it up a little bit and so Okay, well, now then is the big probably earned it more than the Korean zombie, but the fact that they haven't given it is the beat tells me that that last night vs Complicate er just it wasn't what got gets him into the title.
Therefore, I think the zombie was probably right for the pickings. Right.
Let's bring in our guest.
The voice of the Octagon is doing it for over 20 years.
He is the one and only.
How you doing? How are you, man? You good? Yeah.
Great to see you again.
Great genes. You can hear me.
OK, I was having some issues here with my computer way just fine.
We hear you perfectly.
Last time when we caught up the pandemic, it just started.
I remember one of our questions was Hey, man, uh, are you gonna go to Jacksonville? You're gonna make it the fight island.
In our you were gathering the data, you're still doing some shopping for the family.
So it was, you know, the beginning stages of it all.
Catch us up and tell us how everybody's doing your family and actually maybe how those experiences where? Well, you know, when we spoke back then, Jacksonville was happening, and Tachi Palace was supposed to have before that I was not sure I wanted to go to Tachi Palace back then when we were like in the first stages of this pandemic which were still on the same stage.
We're not out of stage one.
I know we all know that to a large extent, and I'm happy that got canceled.
And then by the time Jackson go came around with safety and protocol, that was put in place when I was informed of everything I was comfortable doing.
And although I was very I don't want to go in the airports, and I still don't want to go in the airports.
And we did the airport run got there, Did the ah, was that the two or three shows that I did when I was there, got back.
And then Abu Dhabi, I got to give Dana White and all the medical staff all the powers would be UFC tremendous credit.
Because even though people have tested, you know, it's happened, What has been positive test and stuff, But that's just the nature of the beast.
If you're in a room these days with 10 people close based on the odds, you gotta figure that too could be asymptomatic.
You know, you've got to really be careful about this.
Um, but we got over the Abu Dhabi.
It was an incredible experience, A lot of safety in place.
Next trip is gonna be even better.
Um, it is fight island by all standards.
And they put a lot of stuff in place and the show's went great.
You know, everything went great.
I have no problem announcing with no audience when fans in attendance, because it's always me and the fighter and looking into the eye of the tiger has always been that way.
I block out at the audience when I worked as much as I love and feed off the energy of the USC fans.
So I just go win it.
Still bring it the same way I bring all my energy on my passion.
And as the old adage goes, the show must go on.
Right? Boys always must go on.
You know, back when you know you brought up something that I wanted to talk to you about.
If there they talk about fighters all the time, feeding off the energy is proud and vice versa.
I can't think of anybody else that doesn't have more than you.
You know, the energy that you give the crowd I've seen assumes your voice comes out.
I've seen people run from the tunnels just to get back into the arena.
With that gone, how was that first show like that? What was it like for you? Not having that? Um, can you kind of play us through the mental side of how you went? Well, I mentally prepared myself forward.
You have to remember.
Or maybe you don't know that I've done so many movies, TV shows in front of green screens, the videos.
You know that we thought for the fans here that order through my website Bruce buffer dot com.
I film in front of a green screen so I can put images and back.
So let's say I I can give full bore.
Let it all fly like King Kong's chasing me behind me, you know? So you assume that kind of an attitude and you go in.
I miss the fans.
It's actually a more relaxing experience for me because instead of interacting, you know when he 500 pictures of night or whatever the case might be, which I'm happy to do.
I love the fans.
As you guys know, Um, I have a lot more time where I can announce the vice, sit down in my alone six foot table, distance from everybody and actually enjoy the fights.
Even Mauritz kind of like I'm home.
I stepped in my living room.
There's an octagon.
I announced him and I go back and I sit on the couch, you know, very interesting experience, very interesting appearance, but I like you when you watch the fights and you hear the punches and kicks more and you can hear the coaches and all that kind of There's a sign of the show with no audience that actually is more accentuating.
I wonder if you agree with me that with that or not, yeah, I know we've actually had quite a few people say that.
They just aren't like they miss going to the live event, but they're not really missing.
Um, the fact that there's no crowd cause on TV you're right.
You can hear the coaches.
I just did a piece with the two coaches and that they were talking about bacon actually hear each other.
I mean, there's so much more as if this wasn't human chess already.
They're adding another element to it.
I ask you about something.
I think I saw this on Twitter, and you just brought it up a swell.
You drove to Vegas, right? You're trying to avoid the airports.
And I remember the first time we interviewed you, right? Right.
As all this was kicking off, it almost.
We forgot it was an interview because we were on the same page.
Is trying to figure out.
How are we going to do things we're no longer at the Mandalay Bay were here.
You're trying to figure out how you're going to do shows, avoiding airports and all that.
Uh, can you talk a little bit about that process of driving down there? I know sometimes spiders are creatures of habits or become a creature of habit.
Just with your routine and the changes in all that yell right now the Vegas eight.
Let's face it, I mean that our future is This is either the Vegas Apex, right, or Abu Dhabi.
Now California announced that they opened up her boxing and ever made events.
But why would USC want to go to California when everything is in place in Vegas with safety and protocol, so is the apex. And it's a great place.
Is they, Dana? And again, the powers that be did a great job with this.
So my M O now is, for instance, I just did a show last week in Vegas.
I am not doing this weekend show.
I will be back for UFC 2 52 of the two shows after that, so I have to pack up head to Vegas.
What I do is I hit the road about nine in the morning.
Wind up getting to Vegas around 1 to 2, give or take.
It's a four hour drive.
You know, Put the pedal to the metal, have a good time.
You know, I've known to hit about 105 110 but I look around and that's what nobody's on the road. Of course.
Did I just had that? I just admit to something started.
You didn't hear that? No, No.
Um and I have, you know, I'll either have a driver.
Um, you know, I have a driver here in L.
That takes care of me at events and stuff like that, and I'll be there and then drive me or a friend will go with me or I'll just drive myself.
Quite frankly, the drive to Vegas is It's nice.
I'm used to it, so I'll drive there immediately.
I have to get tested just like everybody else.
There's no going to casinos.
I'm not interested in going to casinos and interesting going on in Vegas.
Vegas is spiking right now.
Also, I go back to my room, which I'm forced to.
We all cannot leave the hotels to recording team for 24 hours if we don't get a call by 10 in the morning with the bad news, Scott for good.
Um, we know everything. School.
Get a temperature check and boom.
I'm at the arena by two or three o'clock in the four spikes, usually before.
And let's get this show.
Let's get it done.
Do the show have a great time.
I will never let down. Guys, I will give 150%.
I don't care if I'm announcing the UFC in the street outside my house.
I'm going to give it 150%.
You guys know me by now. You know I am.
How am I so enjoy? Enjoy the experience and I have a choice.
I could drive back at night, which I don't want to do.
Hit the road early morning it back, put on a bandage or grab a surfboard.
Where's my weekend? See the family? And the whole bit.
I mean, listen raw. Still sequestered.
Okay, I'm not a party.
I take this very serious.
I've had two people close to me have been infected on and turn the six degrees of separation that people I know that have died last week, I got a call from one of my good friends and it's horrible.
44 year old friend is a firefighter.
You know, firefighters air Stutts okay? And commit a ninja warrior.
Is that great shape 44 back open and died three days later.
We're reading about this all the time.
So if you do not take this seriously and people, some people out there, you know they're there tourney.
And And I don't care what your opinion of me is after I say this, if you're not taking this seriously, if you're not wearing a mask, if you're not washing hands, if you're not practicing, distancing and everything we're supposed to be doing to try and fight this and get back to normal that you are part of the problem, you are not part of the solution.
You don't like me for saying that? Don't listen.
My podcast don't was his interview.
I'm part of the solution, not part of the problem, and say guys, I hope you don't mind not at all.
We gladly agree.
Yeah, I'm glad you emphasized that we feel the same way.
Um, it is no joke.
We have a lot of family members that have been infected.
And I say this obviously loosely.
Luckily, it's the younger ones who ah, are more likely toe, you know, come out on top.
Obviously, the older ones were telling everyone stay home.
And uncles, their parents, couple younger ones have gotten that they're battling.
And some are saying just, you know, just like you here, man, it is no joke.
A couple others have gotten the lighter symptoms, but we feel the same way.
We haven't been back to the Manly base since mid March.
Right? Studios still there? The Mandalay Bay did open.
Everybody's wearing a mask.
But the sports work is just not the same right now.
Everything separated sports with no fans are on the vibe is still not there completely, you know, So I'm not ready to go back.
I'm not willing to risk it, so I'm on board just like you are brutes.
Well, guys, listen.
I'm a total optimist, okay? I'm gonna most positive people you ever meet.
I'm also one of the most realistic people you ever meet.
Like it ISS Okay, I go from point A to point B in a straight line.
There's no bull**** when it comes to me.
Okay? The bottom line is yes, the overly can get affected.
The elderly can die.
The bottom line is young people are dying.
Okay, There have been nine deaths of Children, if not more teenagers, 20 year olds and again people that are not compromised.
We always hear that you have your compromise.
You know, like let's say you have cancer or EPA, senors.
And sure that's horrible.
The bottom line is this is a very finicky virus and everybody is different.
There's, like, no pattern, and that's the problem.
And we won't know the pattern for months to come for years to come.
God forbid, Um, as we ****yzed the medical professionals ****yze what these results are.
So again, not three Pet of not standing negative.
You just have to take this seriously.
It's not about you getting sick.
It's about infecting the people around you.
And if you're not that kind of person who cares about the people around you and again.
Don't watch my podcast.
I don't want you, Teoh.
The firefighter you were talking about.
What was it? A firefighter Perez For where? It was his last name. Perez.
No, no, that's another fire fire.
If something happened there, that's another 44 year old, Uh, a buddy of mine that told me about l. A firefighter.
Just like that to get, um, you know, front.
I mean, are you know that the nurses and doctors and firefighters and everybody that's out there, you know, doing this every day and then you got ta? Who's arguing over a mask? You know, it takes you 10 50 minutes to go inside, grab your food, get out of the store that you go home and not wear a mask all day if you want.
You know, you think about a lot of people out there, a lot of people out there, you ask yourself, why is the United States the number one infected country in the world? Why are other countries been able to get this down? Because we had a period of time up until recently.
And maybe still, where is very confusing our leadership is very confusing to us as a massive people.
You know, you, us citizens, Um, where a mass don't wear a mask. Do this.
You have to lead by example.
You have to lead by example.
And it's not just leaving it up to states to make their decision, in my opinion, as it it's possible you make a mandate that's good for all 50 space, and every 50 states follow the same pattern.
Therefore, you're fighting the same war, right? If you're in a war and different armies that are part of your army are fighting it differently than there's no organization.
All right, I don't want to get too political.
We just have to do the best we can do right now with everything we have at hand and we're about to come into flu season were about to commit in November.
You know they don't have ah vaccine, so let's see what happens.
My heart goes out to so many people suffering from this right now, and big goes out.
I want my 12 and 15 year old boys and the fact they're missing school.
Like all the kids at school, they're missing the age of innocence they're missing interaction.
I mean, communication amongst the youth was was problematic, as it was with all the modern technology Is wonderful is that they're not talking. They're just texting.
And now they're not even able to be in the same room together. It's all virtual.
This is gonna have, in effect, a future effect on our current generation.
I'm sorry to say, and I hope I hope it's not a negative one.
Bruce, I want to ask you something.
We were just talking about goals.
Karnowski and Holloway.
Um, I don't necessarily want you to opine whether you think where fight is this stable.
What I want to ask you was what's the process of when you get this? Judgesscorecards? You look at it.
Never have that moment.
Because even yesterday there was some terrible scores at the apex center for Tuesday night contender series.
But you get it even for half a second. Go away.
You know, like one of my book to read, you know, because you've been so laser focused, even more focused on the fight.
You probably have an opinion of who you thought One.
Therefore, by the time you collect it, walk up the steps.
You're ready to do your thing.
Do you even have this one moment of like, Whoa, These people will be surprised about what I'm about to say.
Probably every time you do, my friend, if you do, I'll sit there and watch the fight.
It'll actually just a fight on my own card, you know, as they account the rounds and then I'll go over got Remember, I have to do a job.
Don't kill the messenger.
I have to do a job.
I have a very good poker face when I play poker, and I've got a very good announcer space when I get get results.
Yes, I'll see results sometimes, especially in split decisions where it's like 29 28 for the winner, 29 28 for the winner or 30 27 for the winter and 30 27 for the loser.
It's like was watching this fight, you know? Um, yes, it's a surprising I am.
My reason is not my role to reason Why is mind to do or die, as Roger Kipling said in his poem, So I have to take that result and read it And that's all I can tell you that yes, and my surprise.
And yesterday I react inside.
Do I sometimes say something? I've been known to say something, but it's not my role at all the judges of the judges and data white.
He said it before, he said, A 1,000,000 times, Don't let it go toe hands of the judges.
And it's one of the most true statement state has ever put out there.
Maybe if you don't want to get any trouble, but one so far back that you can release open up to us and tells, Yeah, this is one where I thought, you know, I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Yeah, you know, there's been a few of those You could probably mention a couple.
And I'll tell you, if I remember, it was, quite frankly, with all the lights and announced that thousands of fights that I've announced, I forgot more than remember guys.
It's like I'll be some sitting here searching my memory banks right now, and I probably have to go on the Internet.
You have a couple because there's definitely been more than one.
If you want to mention one that I'll tell you how we felt, do you? Do you remember the first time you guys went Teoh the Middle East and he used you? See, 1 12 I've got a pen One, but they gave it to Edgar B.
Penn for strength and for the first time, human rights Or surprising, Or did that go along with what you thought that was one of those ones? You know, I remember.
I remember that.
But that was one of those ones where it could have gone.
Either way was closed.
I was leaning towards BJ and that fight you.
No disrespect to Frankie actors, one of my favorite fighters, and BJs my little Hawaiian brother.
So it's, you know, I have so much respect for these guys.
I mean, you gotta remember, I we're like Boy scouts go to camp.
You know, we create these relationships and it's hard for me sometimes inside.
When I read a decision knowing that the one that's losing, in my opinion, should have been the winner as a fan, watching the fight and realizing the devastating effect that this has on himself and on the future of his career, when he thought the next fight would be for the championship or the next would have been his $1,000,000 payday, you know, and realizing you lost it there dio potentially some faulty judgment.
But listen, life is not easy.
Life is tough, okay? And the strong survive.
And you have to learn from these experiences.
You can only be upset for so long.
It's like my dad always told me Win like you're used to it and lose.
Like it doesn't bother you and go to the next level.
I like that one.
All right, one more real quick.
Hendrix versus GSP.
I think it was 2013 years.
Someone better. That was a talk one.
That was a tough one.
Yeah, that was both I thought 100.
I thought Hendricks one that I had a ticket I was gonna skip from the MGM Grand Marina all the way to the sports book cause I thought it was sitting for a couple grand a year at the GSP.
I couldn't believe you remember Dana White in the back.
Also about the same thing and oh, yeah, I know, I know.
Uh, how about this? What about when you've seen whether you agree with the decision.
I'm not going for that one in this.
In this question, when I want to know is what about when you see history's about to be altered.
Like when Cejudo B D J d j had defended 11 times in a row he hadn't lost since 2012.
You knew you were about to say, you knew for the next 10 seconds something the world didn't know, You know, they even think about it like that.
Or you just so focused on getting the scores.
Like, I don't wanna hear that.
Remember what I just told you.
I mean, in my head, I'm realizing what this decision, the effect it has on the individual fighter.
So there's an example.
You realize that I'm about to potentially change what this man or woman was fighting for for their future, their income, their family, everything with their next big fight was gonna be.
And this decision suddenly changed it.
You know, a decision that might be that is very questionable.
So yes. No, because I feel for the fighters.
But I have a job to do and I have to do my job.
I'm going to tell you something that nobody ever wants to hear.
Whatever way go.
It's going to keep going for you.
But I'm here sipping my coffee.
And when I see your face, I wish I could drink alcohol this way with this for more people.
Because puncher's chance.
You're involved, right? That can.
I saw your face.
I was like, Man, I wish this was some bourbon.
I think it would look cool.
Can you tell us about puncher's chance and how it all came about? May I think it's terrific news? Absolutely.
And, you know, I'll tell you guys, I think Puncher's chance would be really nice sitting there on your table during your shows if you don't have to be there.
So here's the thing we all know Connor McGregor cannot proper 12.
The Rockets come out with his term mania.
I don't think I'm saying correctly.
That tequila I got involved with the people that were behind remember Sammy Hagar is Kabul Wabo tequila, Remember? Ah, skinny girl.
You ever hear of the products getting girl? Yes.
Okay with people that market, and we're behind these products.
Um, I met over a year ago, and I have always had a bucket list wanting to have my own spirit line.
I was actually working on my own Kinshasa, which is Brazilian rum, that I was going to start distributing out of Brazil through people who want to make it there.
And I would have been the, you know, the spokesperson here, I have partners, and I'm a partner in this.
This is a big thing.
I'm very excited about my partner.
Christine and I have been working on this for over a year, and now it's come to fruition.
And in about two weeks, uh, 23 weeks, you're going to hear an announcement.
That puncher's chance has been released.
And what we did is I I am not a big drinker, okay? But when I drink, I enjoy a fine bourbon.
Um, like the aftertaste.
So that was my product of choice.
And they went and they did research, and they did all they had to do.
And we came and made a deal with one of the finest distilleries in Kentucky.
Secured about 50 to 100,000 barrels of the finest Kentucky bourbon you can you can possibly taste.
And the very high end this is not low in That is very high end.
And the bottles were having made Did I send you a picture to show you want to show you a picture? Yeah, but what I liked about it was just had this cool, sweet looking with a black bottle with white writing on it.
The great was got bottom area, which I'll bring up a picture and I'll show you.
It's got the bottom area that you can actually see when the bottle is getting low.
So you get to your next one or whatever.
Here's the point.
Here's the point.
It's, um, the bottles especially made in Europe.
We got very unique bottles again.
This is first class, guys.
I'm not I'm not chancing here.
This is first class, so we're able to get so many.
We're going to release a number of cases this year.
Next year, we're gonna explode with a whole batch even more, and we're gonna open up in about eight states being Vons and Pavilions Albertsons in these states.
I'll make all these announcements Follow me on Instagram and respect for UFC on Instagram.
You hear about all this and also be a website that if you're not living in the States, will be able to order from it.
So we are fully national as well as international with this brand.
So when I got with these people realize their ability to market cause I'm all about market, you can make the greatest product in the world.
But if you don't mark it correctly, it's gonna look like a piece of coal nobody's gonna buy.
Just like you could market a piece of coal correctly and everything's It's a diamond, right? Well, I have a dominant.
We have a dining and we're gonna market it like a dime and the bottles unique.
It's great looking.
The Berman is fantastic, and I'm just extremely excited about this.
It's really it's really a fun ventures, something I wanted on my bucket list for many years.
Here's the bottle, guys.
I don't know if you could.
Yeah, Now the whole thing about puncher's chance it's about the underdog.
It's about how one punch can change the fight.
I've always been about the underdog, my entire life.
I've been an underdog is we all have in many situations, but I fought to get on top, and that's what I am.
I'm a fire immensely physically, and this is all about like, Rocky said.
You get knocked down, you stand up, you move forward and your funds harder than you've ever punched before.
Okay, that's what life is all about.
And that's the position all of us are in right now with this pandemic.
So I told you in the last show of my attitude is to get the best mention with physical shape I can during this time.
So when it comes time to run out of the gate, I'll be like 1/3 red.
Running out of the gate is I hope everybody else's in their own personal lives in this forest.
But this is again something.
I don't stop working just because this is happening.
I'm sitting down trying to make sure that I could do everything I can to take care of my family and do everything that's needed and still fulfill my business ventures that can be fulfilled during this time when so many businesses cannot fulfill themselves, which again I'm so sorry that my heart goes out to so many people.
I think when we all think about the things that we're missing out on, that we don't have And what would make us feel normal again? I always pictured myself a baby, a baseball game or something with the heart here.
But one picture that I think if I ever saw would really bring a smile on my face would be you at a poker table.
The country's chance.
I think that would make me feel like all right, things air.
Things were back to normal.
Little bits will be cool.
Cool thing that see? Well, I have a photo session coming up for marketing soon, so I'll try to bring in poker table and to make you happier going room here, and I'll send you a picture of me with a bottle of countries chance.
But, you know, thank you for that.
Uh, this is a time we should all be like a role model.
Like I say on my podcast at the end of the show, you know, he is positive you can be and be a role model, dear sphere of influence.
we need to support each other.
You know, we're all in a war right now, so let's let's fight and let's be supportive of each other as we can.
Most definitely, you know, along with the punters chance.
Um, I'm also gonna be coming out the beginning of the year towards the end of the year, and I've already made this announcement.
I'm coming out with my own line of toilet training, which is going to start with the it's time.
Hello? Is going? Yeah, Chuck, you grow very cool.
Yeah, this is done out of England is gonna be international distribution.
And then I also have a whole line of energy products that will be released the first quarter of 2021 from drinks to food bars to new shots.
Guys just do use do you or can you still play online poker? Oh, yeah.
You're stuck in Abu Dhabi is the question in your hotel room for 24 hours.
Thank God for online poker.
That's all I can tell you.
I think I've already seen every movie out there about 14 times.
So yes, I am playing online poker.
I will not play poker in person.
I get invited to, you know, different games and stuff like that, but I am not going to do it.
There is probably no in person Parker play in my life until sometime next year.
Still a sharp is always are.
We stayed on top of it.
It's like riding a bike, my friend.
You know, what about you have mentioned television movies.
You've done a lot of that.
Um, should something like that come up? Is that something that needs to be put on the backward? Or is it something that you would maybe taking the consideration and do? Well right now, here's the way it works.
Recently, I had Michael, and you can watch it this weekend.
The Mike Tyson vs Jaws, the rumble in the city or whatever they're calling it.
Have you heard about that? Yeah.
So that's, you know, that's put together, Craig religion And does the ultimate fighter produced the ultimate fighter and land was involved. Or two.
I have my brother Michael announce it.
And, um, when you're doing stuff like that or when I went in recently ended a voiceover for really cool video game is coming out of being on this racing game.
Um, you have to be tested, you have to, and if you're not tested, you have to go in and it's all distance mass.
Production companies have to be very Kobe safe the way the UFC is covitz safe when they put on a show.
So to answer your question without going to Lord winded, I have a big project in the works right now.
I just can't tell you what it is, but obviously it will not be filled at this time.
So, um, Hollywood is on the back burner, although some shows air coming back into production.
But it's a gradual thing.
You know, they've got to be safe, that whole industries on a standstill to so long winded.
Answer to your question, given the right situation, and I have a couple coming up like a day's work.
If it's covitz safe, then I'll do it.
It is a, uh, that I want, you know, I don't care how much money is being thrown at me.
I won't going back really quick to puncher's chance.
Was there a Plan B when you when you brought up bourbon.
If they would have that added Jorge Mas.
But I was working on bourbon.
Would there have been a plan B is for his alcohol? Is there a second favorite one you got? Well, a second favor would probably been a tequila, you know, But there's a lot of two killers out there, you know, I ****yze the whole marketplace and, like, what is, if something is how unique what's gonna make the biggest bag? And my decision with my partners was burning, but yes, we considered a potentially it tequila or a fine whisky.
But again, I like a great burden. I like that aftertaste.
And I've got I'm gonna make something get behind it.
I always say that whatever you represent in life, the way it will sell best or market best is if you're a product of the products.
And I was tell everybody, if you're passionate about something, find out what your passion about monetizing and that's the greatest business in the world to be it.
So I don't break my rules. I follow my rules.
These are my real personal rules for potential success that I practice or a long time and preach when I do motivational speeches that I teach branding and marketing to young entrepreneurs and companies, which I'm not making those appearances now anymore.
Because there are no events until future notice.
Last question for me.
And that's, um you told us back in April.
I believe that you were doing the shopping for your brother and your mom.
You know, uh, you still doing that? Have you been ableto see them like, you know, if you have you all agree deporting yourselves or a certain amount of days where you finally able to come together is still keeping a distance in the buffer family.
Well, uh, answer your questions.
I still shop when I have to, but that back then we weren't able to get the deliveries to home like you can now.
You know, whole food the markets are delivering so we can cover all that I have in my family.
Everybody, including myself, to stay out of the stores as much as possible.
I have to go to take care of them.
Of course I will.
Um, with that being said, the you know, months now I'm not hug my mom as you guys probably haven't either for five or six months now or whatever it's been.
And I see her from a distance.
I'll go over today.
This afternoon should be at the front door.
I'll be outside.
I just You know, you do what you gotta do, you know, And, uh, as long as I can see her and see that smiling face and guys, thank God for face time, man.
Think about all the people out there that can't see the relatives.
Thank God for face time.
I think that's helping a lot of people.
I mean, anxiety, depression, addiction There everything is going up in the home, in the home front, you know? So the more in touch you stay with your loved ones, uh, to support you with the better it is that we all have to do.
We have to do it. Ask your question. Yes.
Distancing is very important.
Look at that Discipline, folks. Great. Bruce.
Uh, six months in, still practicing the distance.
They're trying to keep him, and it's family.
Say, listen to him.
Thanks, Bruce, for spend some time with us here.
I got something else for an excuse.
You want me to bring something on, right? Oh, yeah.
I remember last time he brought wear something.
Well, you know, I'm a big collector of various things, right? Obviously.
Movie posters behind all that.
So one of the other big things that I love to collective sports memorabilia.
And one thing I'll tell you is that in times like this were times and economically, your heart and everything else were in potentially if not in one economic depression.
No matter what the market's doing, we'll see the effects of this because the economic effects are going to be for a long time.
But collectibles are like gold bricks, if you buying correctly.
So one of the other big things aside from the military items.
And remember, I'm not a hunter, but I collect antique weaponry.
But I do collect sports memorabilia.
I mean, I've got cases of the first UFC cars sitting in there that have gone up, you know, dramatically but sports cars pre 1975.
If you buy them correctly, our great I'll give you a couple examples.
This is a 1957 unopened Topps baseball wax back.
Okay, this is graded eight by P s a.
And this could contain 2nd 3rd year ****ey Mantle.
Are, you know, escapee Willie Mays.
All this plus rookie cards.
Some of the greatest baseball players ever.
Very highly desirable.
This is a gold brick.
This goes up on average of, like, 25 to 50% here.
It's crazy, because why? The basic rule of economics is supply and demand.
But if you bought it correctly by grated wax packs is one of the greatest things you could buy.
Buy in pre 1975.
If you want to know values, you're gonna ask me and I'll let you know.
Otherwise, we'll show you the products.
Well, you don't mind? Yeah, that would be cool.
All right, well, I'll give an example.
I paid $2700 for this about five years ago.
I don't think I think if I put this on the market what I've seen recently, it would sell roughly for about $6000.
Okay, Maybe even more So that's one.
This is 1961 Fleer basketball.
Ah, that's great.
We do you know who is in this? Maybe will's Bill Russell.
Wow ones Rookie card.
Okay, well, Chamberlain's rookie card. That's greatest.
I bought two of these for $1100.
They're selling for over $3000.
Right? If I put this on a day in a week, it's gone.
That's what I call a gold brick again.
And I'm not trying.
Listen, when I talk money, I'm not trying to impress right now.
I'm sure impress Little bit did not like.
Look at Bruce is not that I'm trying to teach people about collectibles.
If you have collectible stuff, this is a gold brick, because this will make you money.
One of the best investment I've ever done is real estate.
But there are other investments that are great investments we had.
This happens to be one of them.
Now I'm gonna show you something and tell you something's gonna blow you away.
Did you watch the last dance with Michael? Jordan? Just loved it.
Well, his collectibles have always been here, but now there for the roof. Okay.
And they have been through the roof.
This is a 19 rated eight.
This is 1986 cleared.
Remember? I told you pre 1975.
But there are a couple of exceptions.
Back in 1992 I would go into a sports memorabilia store and I would buy this pack for $20.
The first pack I ever bought, I pulled out of Mitt Michael Jordan card, which I sold mistakenly, uh, about nine years ago for $1100.
That custody 20 pucks.
Right? The same car graded today.
Just so for $60,000.
All right. Oh, my God.
This pack was 20 bucks.
If you want to buy this back now, it's gonna cost you over $2500.
I was able to buy the box, which I didn't could kick myself, But you know, there's always stories in the naked city.
The boxes were 200.
The box is now our 60,000 in the area or more.
I could've bought a case for $4000.
The case is still for 1/2 $1,000,000 they sell if you can find him.
Is that crazy or what? Oh, my God.
I can't I can't even imagine that. I know.
So think about the values I just showed you on these items.
Now think about What's gonna be the value on these items in 10 years, Bruce? I went way too.
What's that? I want to play, too.
You have any questions? Tell me.
I talk about my pockets all the time.
I listen, there's a lot of things you can do in life and right.
Oh, Joe Montana.
Second year, first year rookie is the rookie card.
You know what you should do with that is you just send it into P s a and have a great ID.
Like I just showed you rights, Custer, like, 15 20 bucks.
But depending, once it's grated, then then you're solid your set, then you have a true value, and they're gonna be worth more than just the way it is right now.
The story on that card.
One of our listeners, a caller from Seattle, Christmas the apple, Just George would always talk about the 40 Niners, and one day he showed up at our studio.
And because I heard your 40 Niners fan deals, I think you might like this.
You just gave it to me as a gift.
Chris, from Seattle, one of our collars and think about it.
He's a Seahawks fan on.
So we're usually cussing each other out on Twitter cause they've had our number up until last year.
Yeah, he he gave me that as a gift.
And then I know something about Jordan.
I know you mentioned Fleer, but wasn't there also lying called star That only came up for a few years? Yeah.
I have a value to write.
Well, they were really valuable when they came out.
This is where I got misdirected.
Instead of buying more of these, I got into the new stuff which was take because Well, and the basic rule of economics is supply and demand.
The modern day cars, they produce crap loads up Right now.
Star was a big seller when it came out.
I still have the whole set, but it's not gone crazy.
Oh, well, unless something happened recently that I'm not aware of, but I would not.
Don't throw it away because you never know when it possibly could go crazy.
Price wise, LeBron James Rookie card just recently stolen, and I'd have to look it up.
It's so the highest price ever.
4 million that. Yeah.
Well, well, I hate the one of you guys.
What? I'm about to blow you away.
You ready? Go ahead, correctable.
I have here a Bruce buffer ball.
Now, you can find these right now, but I'm telling you, in years to come, there's gonna be another show like ours, and they're gonna bring up somebody else, and somebody's gonna pull this baby out, and I think it's gonna be a cold moment, you know.
Thank you for that.
That's one of my favorite items has ever come out.
Whether it's a trading car, different action figures in the May to me and, you know, other stuff, that is by Mm, a bobblehead.
Dave Manly owns that.
He does. And I know he's been on your show.
He does an amazing job now.
They only made 1000 of those, and I think they first sold at 39.5.
Sign it was some more.
But I would venture to guess that aside from mind, some of the others are probably hitting up to $100 right now.
Right since they came out.
That is the true collectible.
One of the key reasons why is it's a limited edition collectible.
So there's only 1000 of each of these that are made.
And I tell everybody if you're never make band UFC fan, get all those intimate bobbleheads.
It's a great set up and keep the box.
Don't throw away the box.
If you can, orb, I'm signed and you will make money.
Here's the latest learning.
I don't want to sell anything. I hold onto everything.
Oh, look at that! The beast.
Derek Lewis came out.
There is these these three artistic work that goes into this is awesome.
Look at the tongue.
He said he had the lacquer the tongue four times because he wanted to make it look, you know, wet, like just out when Lewis wins this fight.
So at least Lewis kept his shorts on.
Or is that without this short hot balls are in there somewhere.
I Joe said I understand.
Okay, you Bruce.
But when we wrap up here, I just want to ask you one last question.
Um, the cards that you just showed us Obviously we're gonna interview you again in the future, but are you like saving the best for last.
Is that Where does that rank? Because that to me.
You know he Angstrom, as you brought out.
Are you about to prove something out? Maybe next time where we're gonna go.
Oh, my God, That smashes the last one.
Sure you want me to want Wow.
Yeah, well, so these are.
But I remember last time was a World War Two gun or so that, right? Yeah, that was crazy, man.
I think I showed you a couple of German Lugers.
I can show you, like, you know, Western guns.
And so I mean, I like I said, Guys, I've been at this a long time.
Collecting is another business of mine.
I used to put on one of my path.
You know, I had my first corporation when I was 19.
I've been involved a number of different businesses before I entered the world of sports and entertainment.
But one of my key things I did is I put on a collectible.
An artifact shows and I put them on in Vegas at the Riviera Hotel where they film the movie casino.
Before it was demolished, I put him on here in Los Angeles.
I did that for about 8 to 10 years, and one of the reasons was two by trade and sell on, Build my collection into my my bother monitor who had a huge collection to where I learned how to collect from.
Uh, it was a business, you know, and I acquired a lot of stuff.
My brother Brian's a huge collector, but I have to keep the stuff in different locations.
Guys, I have a lot of stuff.
It's not all here, but I'll find some stuff for you.
Bruce has been great having you on Thanks for sharing them all that collectible knowledge collectible along with with us and the positivity.
We needed something like that.
Our listeners needed something like that because it is It is like like it feels like wartime honestly out there, it is work.
When we're battling a disease, you know what I mean? A virus that's that It's an invisible enemy, so it's probably one of our most dangerous, if not the most dangerous enemy.
Thank you again for sharing that positivity argument.
It's my pleasure, and you all need to stay safe out there cause we're not just battling a pandemic were battling as the way it's got in this country.
A lot of people battling each other with difference of opinions.
And you see these horrific videos of people hitting, elderly and and arguing over Mass.
And it's just it's just sport.
So we are in a bit of a war, so please be safe out there.
Keep your eyes out.
Wherever you're going, we will get through this.
We will get back.
I'm almost positive personal world, trying to create possibly as much as I can.
But just realize that we're not out of this.
And so you have to embrace it and deal with it as best you can, right? That's all I can say our best to you and your family.
And thanks for spending some time with us today.
I appreciate it.
On one of the things like I always say before one of the big things it's really blown up here in my office is the, um, audio and video recordings we do for championship intros and weddings and virtual weddings and graduations, birthdays, birth of babies and business wise, they could write me for business stuff, too.
This whole pandemics created.
People want entertainment.
People want to smile.
They want to laugh.
So if I can help you in any way, I just go to Bruce buffer dot com.
You can get a championship intro.
Anything else you want there could be done.
Keep it classy and again, we make it very inexpensive.
But partial proceeds do go to animal, military and Children's charities.
And, of course, Kogan, 19.
So that's what we're working on here.
We're trying to pay it forward as well as get back what we can hear. My company.
Okay, we'll definitely Bruce buffer dot com for sure.
Enough Votes on Instagram and Bruce Buffer UFC Thanks, Bruce again, and we'll talk to you soon. Thanks, guys.
Your two of my favorite Say hi to John Morgan when you see him.
And thank you so much for having me on the show.
Stay safe, guys.
Using your face.
Be same chairs, Jerry lady.
All right, take care.
There you have it, folks.
The great Bruce Buffer hanging out with us here on a Wednesday for our weekly Wednesday chat here on SportsCastr the results.
That bottle here. Uh huh.
We gotta put that bottle here. Yeah, for sure.
That was a good looking bottle.
It reminds me of the visit of the class that you take to the gym.
Like the extreme cooked for one.
I think that's what it kind of reminded.
More like he was saying.
You in these boxes are cool.
So it's all in like it starts with the packaging, not just the drink itself.
I think that's like a key ingredient.
So that was That was great, that they knocked it out of the park it out that department as well.
All right, folks, you got your results from the Tuesday night defender.
Siri's, um on Friday, we have Michael Chandler versus Benson Henderson.
So ballot or is back? This might be Michael Chandler's last fight in Delatour.
He's been with Bella.
Horsens sues, like, 10 years ago.
He's been a world champion there two or three times, but not a steak. And I know these twice.
And, uh, but now he may have reached the point where he may be trying free agency after this fight.
In the past, they haven't even let it get that far belt towards locked him up recently.
Stock Coker did questions they recently.
A few months ago, he did an interview where he mentioned, You know, Chandler's obviously not no longer the younger Michael Chandler, and I think they probably have their criteria.
How much somebody's worth matched with their potential that they have, you know, to be an asset for the company.
Eso who know he was just leaving the door.
But to me, it sounded like like, uh, maybe that might be it, but I don't want to speak out of turn here.
First things first, uh, if he wins these a minute.
So spot, because the winner of this fight could be next for Patricia.
Afraid he's their champion.
Patrice, Afraid, is also participating in the featherweight Grand Prix.
He's one of the one of the few fighters that's left, so he's kind of doing double duty.
And then with a pandemic, everything's really, really far behind looking.
How thriving the UCS lightweight division is where you got Just engage E versus Tony Ferguson recently, and I gauge versus Beav announced.
Ah, you got monsters like Portier and Olivera and Marcus Sheff.
Even Connor McGregor whenever he drops and he's going to be a huge, huge tractor.
He's not going to drop very far.
So that just that division imagine getting someone like Michael Chandler to join in that division.
And then you got, uh, you know, you got Benson Henderson, who, if he can win ambulatory lap a WBC, UFC and belt or belt, that's pretty **** impressive.
That can definitely add to his legacy.
So I don't know what to see. All this fight plays out.
Chandler is the favorite.
Benson is the underdog.
And then the following night, the black beast.
He's fighting our Alexey Olynyk in the main event here in Las Vegas, the UC spy card here at the Space Center.
