uh, show you good.
So let's start off by overview in the games that we didn't do you created for or the the rest of Braves series that scene, which has been less than an enjoyable to watch.
So let's start off the 11 to 10 loss.
What did you see? Especially in the East Inning, that could be nurse scary for the future of the bullpen in Keuchel.
Signs of the bullpen being as bad as it was last year.
Well, I basically just saw the bullpen doing a lot what it did last year, just completely farming with losing control.
And I don't remember.
I was watching the uni them.
I couldn't watch the very end, but I wouldn't watch the week of the and the pitcher, the pitching, It just it got out of control, and I feel like the bull.
We just saw a lot of what we saw last year with the bullpen, just even though we had a giant lead the bullpen, I think they yet a lot of our bullpen pitchers, they're getting too comfortable.
And then something like this happens and that it just can't happen when you haven't When you have, like an 8 to 2 lead.
You can't. You can't lose 11 to 10.
And not just with the bull kind.
Like we need toe.
Make sure that we fix that.
And because if we don't fix that, then our playoff hopes are gonna be are gonna be much harder to achieve.
Yeah, I just think that we saw a lot of what we saw last year.
Last year was watched the 1st 6 innings of the Mets game in and turn it off.
I hope people through, and I just I remember washing kind of eighth inning and then just seeing what the situation the Mets for in just turning it off, hoping the would us to pull through, which is something I didn't like that I had to do last year just because simply things were not going to get better in the game after the 60 because the hope after the story in picture came out of the game, it was just not going to end well.
And that's just something that's had played the Mets for the past year and it's just, yeah, it's just not looking good for their bullpen.
Um, I think It's just it's a big problem for the Mets this year.
If they want to make the playoffs, they're going to have to figure out their bullpen off in the like by the end of the week, just simply because the short season they need to show signs off being better in the bullpen, they need to show signs of being able to close down games and hold and hold the young, hold their opponents.
A lower amount runs than they are at the moment.
They're just bullpen has kind of started to fall apart, especially in this Braves.
Siri's any extra Braves.
They've just not delivered.
Um, we saw him this 7 to 1 game or the loss yesterday.
The Mets Marlins don't have a better chance if they get.
If the monster playing, they will not have a better chance.
I mean, their starting rotation isn't that bad besides walking and Force Ellis, so he's only pitch one start, but yes, but it won wondering Picture one picture that's a cer*****y.
And then Seth luego has been kind of badly lost.
I don't think it's completely hopeless that we're not gonna make the playoffs like if we didn't, if we weren't, if the 16 game playoffs would happen, I would agree.
But since there, I think we still could have a chance.
It's just that that means a lot of faith.
I think that that is a pretty low chance that were fixed. Everything within.
Yeah, I think there are.
I just think that we saw that Purcell Oh, walking had a great start.
First start against against the Red Sox.
And then he came out against the Braves.
And so I think we just saw that Purcell walk our own be inconsistent pictures that's here.
I just don't think they're gonna be very solid.
He's gonna pitch today.
Eyes kind of still up in the year.
He had a very good first start in the major leagues against the Red Sox.
And I'm hoping you can continue that against the Braves, which the Mets have had very little success.
I think they've been gone one and four against the praise this year, girl, but we're gonna move on from the losses.
They've had a liquid under 14 losing streak and move on to the certain lineups.
So enough for leading off for the Mets.
Is Brandon never difficult team.
So I mean, extinction give me nothing, but it's either names, but, um, those have weird pitching situation as well, but, um yeah, Marlins are approved, but they're not going to be a miss.
Probably the best that they could come up with with the players that are playing Teoh.
But, um, everything down about this.
Oh, well, I really I personally, I I'm really liking you slide up because, uh, I think that this is one of the first time that we see like this whole of high season.
So far, I think we haven't been.
Now Cano's Robinson Cano.
He's after starting to show signs of improvement because he's been hitting well the past few games.
And now he's now he's all the way up at fist.
So I'm glad to see that least vote bosses putting him higher because currently compared to like Cesp, Innis and Ramos, everything you're putting that him putting like those guys like higher than him.
And I think that he deserves to be up there now because he's been hitting well the past few games.
So I like that out of the slide up.
It's very it shows what a very deep lineup with Ah Smith banning seventh themes.
Both are great hitters most Both are very good with that.
The last two games in secretaries.
He's not very solid with that, which is really his main weapon.
That being not that great defensively, it's catcher.
But what do you think about Ramos not playing today? Well, I think it's Ah, I'm not personally to obstetrics.
As you said, it might be that there s pension because he's tired of off a couple of days.
He hasn't been hitting well, his and I know that.
I believe this was with I believe, one of the picture.
I think that I leave for some of the messages I remember last year.
I believe, uh, Syndergaard whenever send a guard was starting, he, um Neto usually started instead of Ramos because he preferred Nido toh cash Katherine instead of Ramos.
So I don't know if that maybe that'll maybe that's something with Peterson.
I don't think bacon develop that you have a state two games, but I think that overall, it's probably just an off day for Ramos and maybe they'll probably get a meeting put him and as a pinch hitter, possibly if the Mets are down, like and a lot.
But they're definitely trying, toe.
I think they're definitely just giving him an off day because he's been struggling past few days.
Yeah, I by the way, about him, Peter something and not think David Pearson could have a preference with catchers this early in camp is just no way.
It happens that quickly.
He hasn't proved himself enough to say I don't want this catcher to start pitchy.
What is didn't Guard has had has proved himself a Zibri picture.
So yeah, I just don't think Did you see that? The power to do that as a going into the second start in the major leagues.
But so, uh, you want to go over ideal laps because I really don't really have anything.
I really want to see my dio.
The what? The other What? Probably one only thing I did do is I'd either I don't low.
I feel like we're kind of getting We're kind of getting mixed like ideas from with toss from where Rosario is hitting, cause he said.
He's hit him lead off his hit, an atheist hit and ninth, and I think that I remember he definitely.
He hit nine plot last year, and I like that spot for him because he is a good spot off when he hits into the top of lineup comes up.
But if you want, I feel like if he's gonna put him eight like, I feel like I would if he wants to have a higher.
But he doesn't want to hitting ninth that I have a pitting.
I would have him above Smith, just which those guys, But if I mean I'd be fine.
I just still understand putting him eighth.
But that's just Mads one spot.
So it's not a huge deal.
Yeah, um, I just think that, um, we see we've seen this with Nimmo and Rosario.
Both of them have been in this bucket where they're either meeting off or their batting ninth.
There's never batting.
I don't think you've seen Nemo or Rosario Baton Middle of the order this season.
I don't think we will see them better.
Middle order this season is just simply there, the way Rohloff says.
Showing that he's going to use them is either going to that leadoff or eight or nine there, either top of the water of the bottom or so I think that's the way we'll see them play for the residency.
I just think, I think actually, we're kind of seeing a battle between them for who's going to lead off either Rosario or, um, no.
So, yeah, that's what I think that Ross has been doing So at the Braves starting lineup.
Uh, we have leading off Robert ****ey Jr second Swanson There.
Freddie Freeman batting fourth, Marcel Ozuna but in Fifth Trust are now betting. Six.
Uh uh Margo batting seventh.
Duval, Ben Eat Riley and batting ninth Intra Maria.
And then pitching is kind of right.
So what do you think about this Braves lineup? Well, starting who in the last series we saw.
Sometimes they were switched out for players like in CR Fe who are on defense.
But they definitely seemed to be folks that want to be focused on offense of the day, and I notice that there are no it is hitting.
Fifth does he had a He's had a good he's had a good couple of games self car and some Mets.
So they seemed to be warning him with that fist go.
And the only other thing I noticed that the site is that I'm looking at the stats off like MLB dot com and, um, Kyle, Right, the picture for the picture for the Braves.
Um, I know this is just like the first game, but he has a 16.
With minutes to do against this line of cow rate structure is in his first start.
Kind of struggled, raised, put up some numbers against him and run.
So being the Mets lineup, which is great off depth if you put up some pretty solid runs, uh, you know him pretty solid.
Just, you know, can I continue in off what the raised its calorie and just putting pressure, putting pressure off David Peterson on Still, we're gonna move on to So we go.
What do you see? Whatever you see lately on Seth Luego.
I wasn't too concerned about it at first because he bounced back and got like, two strikeouts.
But now that we're seeing in struggling these last few games, more I'm starting good.
I feel a bit more concerned because without help him are.
Our bullpen is not good.
And especially with the stockings, that the rest of our bullpen is also showing.
It's kind of fun, full of disastrous, at least for the time being, because no one way don't without luego and, awfully, Wilson.
We don't really have a guy we can really trust on in the bullpen toe.
And that's a problem.
Him? Yeah, the Mets need their bullpen for them to be successful if you struggles.
We saw Wilson struggle in that Boston game you're talking about as well, letting up three runs and giving the Sox the lead.
So we saw Well said, We've seen Wilson trouble, and we've seen luego scribble lately.
So those air some warning signs because luego on Wilson last year down the stretch were kind of the cornerstones.
They were leave pieces in the bullpen.
There are kind of they were the they were the only reason the Mets had, uh, the woman would be a lot worse without them, and they would just speak.
It would just think that it would be very, very bad for the Mets if they don't have Wilson, and we go in the bullpen forming at the level that we know they can't for, though the Jancis eyes still kind of and he's up in the air.
I don't know what he's gonna dio if he aims to put up solid numbers.
Uh, then you know DS.
He's still very, uh, he's He's shown signs of kind of improvements with mechanics, but he's still shown that he's going to use struggled at closing out games.
And he is still struggling, really is still pretty bad.
So the rest of their hope and doesn't show much death or has literally no depth.
And I think you just the Mets need luego on Wilson to continue what they were doing last year and step up and perform this year around us, The measure going me in big trouble out of playoff hopes this year and their proper.
They're not getting my opinion where if they do make it, they're not made it far without set Louisville.
It just on that moves is onto what we saw walking in or sell what you see with and we're strong coming back.
Do you think we might not see one of them in the starting OT If Pearson continues to perform Well, I think that is definitely, definitely a possibility, because so far, Torsello, I don't think this store it wasn't as that.
I don't think I don't.
I don't think was as bad as his 1st 1 but it still wasn't great or anything, so I hope it.
I'm hoping that either Stroman will come back and you will and possibly replace him or walk up, or they both somehow step up and start doing really well.
Walk up by he, um, in the last game, he definitely did yesterday.
He definitely didn't show his best stuff in the Red Sox name I thought he would show.
I thought, What? Um a lot of the like S and y broadcaster said about how much offseason work he did work like washing past games.
I thought that looks like it really paid off for him.
But what Jackie without game like, it might just be that they're just old pictures now and that they can't perform the same great way that they used Teoh.
And so I I think it's definitely gonna be a possibility that when Stroman does come back, one of those guys might be out of our rotation.
Yeah, I think it is a high possibility.
It Peterson continues to perform well, if he goes from what he did against Boston and if he could continue that against the Braves.
And those are two very good offensive teams with Boston having to her like having on their offense with their pitching P weak this year.
If Peterson didn't perform against high level offensive opponents like the Braves and the Red Sox on you can do well, I think that will put a lot more pressure.
Which a lot of pressure onto Porcello in Wachootoo box.
And we saw him do very well, not so much against Bruce.
So I think Walking needs his changes to be on more than it's not kind of Tanaka with is on pitch.
So with Tanaka, who, when he's on his pictures, are doing very well born.
His pitches aren't doing well.
He's kind of easier.
He is very, very bad and then he gets hit off and then he lets a fire Situations like we stop with walk today are but for sell you something a little better not great.
But, um yeah, I think it was a lot of pressure on to them before.
If David Peter seems, can do well today.
So, um, moving on, we have the money.
What we see out off, uh, the batting that has been very good in has been been very bad.
Well, so so far.
I think that there bats they lots of their players like Nevo, Rosario.
They've been hitting consistently, They've been hitting well, and then we got other baths, like Ramos And like Cess Pit is who just haven't been performing well, so it's kind of an unbalanced.
It's kind of unbalanced throughout the team, which is expect which was expected.
I did expect all of them to be doing well, same time.
But the thing I think the one main problem with the Mets offense is that we're getting lots of lots of hits.
But the problem is we're not driving in the rocks and that because whenever someone gets a, whenever someone gets hit, whenever somebody gets out on base, even with this like staff offensive lineup, we have, we can make it almost never like Dr in these runs and That's why I feel like we're seeing, like a like a consistent, high like hits, sometimes in the double digits and then most of a kind of double digits and then some.
And the runs are usually skewed, like when the Mets Mets going 10 runs and in the net score one more.
And it's it's crazy because I believe I heard if I'm not wrong and this hasn't changed.
But so far, I heard on the Mets radio broadcast last night.
The Mets are the have the most hits out of any NL team so far in the major leagues and their three and six, and they haven't been scoring runs consistent.
So I think that the Mets have.
The Mets offense has to fix that in order to be more successful.
Yeah, I agree with you.
On practically every point of years, the Mets have been getting on base.
We've seen a pretty solid amount of walks.
We've seen good things from Nimal is here.
He has been very solid.
We've seen things across the board.
It was getting good recently.
Cess pit is this is a couple of home runs.
He's been very good coming out, Mrs Baseball, Everything a year, half, but with runners in scoring position, they have been very, very bad.
I do think if I'm not mistaking the bases loaded one out in the fourth, last bombing off the top of form yesterday against the Braves and they did not, uh, they strike, struck out, was ground out.
So Ronald struck out, and then Rosario grounded out.
The Mets have been very bad this year with runners in scoring position.
They've just been weak.
They have not been able to put the ball in play with runners in scoring position, liking bases loaded, one out.
They've not been able to hit pop flies to at least driving one run.
They've just been struggling to get off the ball in play with runners in scoring position, and I just they have not been able to do.
That thing could be successful, especially with the bullpen.
That's kind of struggling this year and has been trolling in the past.
I think they need to be able to.
Their offense needs to be what drives them forward and if they can't hit with runners in scoring visit to uh and I think that they're drug.
The thing that they need to be successful the most is it's going to be, like, now and it.
So that's that's what anything about their often I think, they just its intensity, the thing that propels them in the playoffs.
If they're gonna get their because their starting pitching has good, it's very good in some parts.
It's some instances, but it's very got another.
You, uh, Iran, who? Yes, master against the British.
And then it can be not so others.
But here I don't think he I think you'll be late for your guns or something, but, um, against the Red Sox, but like it just is, their pitching isn't going to be in the levels there was in the past, and they need their offense to do well.
If they're only John and playoffs or the Do you want any? Do you have any topics to bring up with our little think there's anything else I can think of? I mean, there's not much de as debacle on extra extras.
That was that in the new new loss.
You would Steve because the Mets Twitter posted like 82 and they're like this descriptor this great that they lost it Said so, uh, with out.
Who's that? I think we will end in the Broadway cast.
Thanks for coming on.
And I dont know what we get is probably for the next series.
There was something there Tuesday that.
Yeah, well, weird Out in.
We will see you next.
