He's doing a memorial.
Ah, and you know, we wish him the best and hope him and his family get through this.
So I wish him the best and we'll talk to him next week.
And, of course, Brandon morale hasn't been with us all week, But it's because, you know, when your dad you've got to get those things done.
So, um you know, trust me, I've been there. I know.
Uh, I know what that's like. It's not.
It's not easy at all.
Don't know why I have my glasses on again, but if you want to get out of 7198889985 is the number to text.
You get Texas let us know what's up.
Or you could just comment below right here on Facebook, where we do the show Facebook.
Live every day or excuse me every week.
Day at 8 30 is Jozy when we're here, but going to drop, Ah, jump of word or two in there if you so choose.
The MBA was the only sports league that had an existing rule requiring athletes to stand for the national anthem, and for that reason it didn't really get pulled into the Colin Kaepernick kneeling controversy of 2016.
But the the racial unrest this spring changed all that.
The MBA restarted in its bubble in Orlando last night, and there were two games Utah Jazz burst in New Orleans, pelicans and, of course, the Lakers and the Clippers in the Battle of L.
And during both national anthems, everyone.
And when I say everyone you know, I mean, everyone on the court kneeled every player, every coach, even the referees.
It was probably planned because it was the same.
It wasn't like there was like one or two people, not kneeling.
Everybody Ah was kneeling.
MBA commissioner Adam Silver is fine with it.
Afterwards, he said, quote, I respect our teams Unified act of peaceful protest for social justice and under these unique cir***stances will not enforce our longstanding rule requiring standing of our national anthem.
Oh, well, excuse may.
So if you want, you can always google it.
You can see the beginning of the games.
Um, here's the thing.
That's not a problem.
Um, I know the narrative has changed.
I know people have looked at it differently.
Um, for me, I understand.
I'm glad that they're doing that to show that it's it's a unified front.
And I appreciate that as a black man.
I appreciate that.
But I'm going to tell you the kneeling I want, uh, that's great, but I want more.
I want to see you guys do something in your communities.
I want to see you guys do something with your platform as being a professional athlete.
That, to me speaks volumes.
And look, I'm a man that grew up with a new Italian Irish mother and black father, so this means the world to me to see that.
But again, I want to see you guys do it in your community, so don't get me wrong.
I'm not downplaying.
And I'm not saying that kneeling isn't, You know, a way to show that I mean, it is in a sense, but at the same time, and you know you can talk to other people in communities.
They'll say that two, they'll say, You know what? It's great that they're showing solidarity, But what are they doing? That's kind of the big thing.
So let's now I'm glad you're doing that.
Now let's move forward and ah, kind of get moving on that.
So, um, but we'll see what happens.
New York Knicks Yes, my beloved losers ah, officially hire Tom Thibodeau as their next head coach.
Tom has officially been hired as the next coach of the New York Knicks, confirming reports that the former Bulls and Timberwolves coach had been chosen t coach.
The Knicks are desperate.
Ah, as they say in this article over on yard Barker that, um as they have not made the playoffs in what seven seasons now they have become a reliable punchline in the MBA and one of the worst rosters in the MBA.
I wouldn't go that far, but Tom Thibodeau will have a difficult task ahead of him.
However, Thibodeau, who was an assistant for the Knicks in the nineties, relishes the opportunity to bring the Knicks back from the brink.
He said in a quote, I'm grateful for the opportunity.
Um, he said, I'm grateful for the opportunity to return to this historic franchise as head coach and work alongside a talented front office.
Ah, that I have great trust and respect for he said. Also, CO.
I know what New York is like when the Knicks are successful and there's nothing comparable.
I can I can see that.
I'm Look, you're supposed to say all the right things, you know what I mean? Um, it's not that he has a bad track record.
Don't get me wrong.
Hey, also says I look forward to being a part of what we are building here and can't wait to get to work.
Look, I don't know if Tom Thibodeau is the answer, and I'm not going to say that he's not.
I just have a hard time.
I think that there has to be more done.
I think that it starts from the top and we all know that.
But at the same time again.
I'm not saying Tom Thibodeau's, you know, I got a bad track record and he doesn't have the greatest.
But just when you're when you're five from places in, of course, the phone is gonna ring right in the middle of Ah, the show and not awesome.
Um, but you have to be, you know, not to be presumptuous, but I mean, you know, it is what it is.
He's let go for a reason.
Did he do a good job in Chicago? Absolutely.
He was a great coach with the Bulls, got them to the playoffs.
So I'm hoping that his sternness and his ah, forceful nature, he's kind of has He has a rough exterior, and this is a very young team.
And this is a team in the New York Knicks set.
Actually could benefit Ah, from having somebody like Tom Thibodeau in there and not, you know, not cradling these guys.
You know, making sure that you know, they understand the fundamentals go back to that is that this is a coach that is very, very stern.
And I hope that maybe this is the, uh maybe This is the coach that they're looking for.
I can't say, um, that it's a bad pick out of everybody that they were looking at.
Okay, it's fine.
I just You know, I'm just being me because they're my knicks and they haven't begun a long time.
And I don't know if Tom Thibodeau, um, is really gonna be the answer.
I just not quite sure.
So anyway, in other NBC news, of course, the Utah Jess took on the New Orleans Pelicans and the Lakers versus the Clippers.
Now, I'm not gonna lie to you and sit here and say, 00 so happy for the Lakers because I wasn't because I wanted the Clippers to win that game.
However, Utah Jazz beat the pelicans 106 toe 104 I didn't get a chance to watch a lot of this game.
I was doing other things.
Unfortunately, don't get too mad at me.
However, um, this was an interesting game.
The highlights I saw, I don't know if unnecessarily Zion was, you know, look, this was a game that was lost by a bucket.
It was tight the whole way through.
You're talking about both teams were at about 40% field goal, However, New Orleans shot the ball better from three point range at 35% verse 23% turnovers.
Pretty even 20 turnovers for Utah, 21 for New Orleans.
And they were about even in rebounds.
So this game was tight all the way through very close game.
I will say this about, um, the Jazz, the Jazz When all this was said and done when all this went toe poof and went into Cove it Ah, the Jazz were 42 23 the Pelicans believe it or not, we're 28 37 watching this game.
You would not think that the Pelicans were a team that were so far below 500 and the Utah Jazz were so far above 500.
These teams looked equally good.
They were, but they both played well.
Defense's played well, obviously, with 41 turnovers in a game, defense was phenomenal.
Here's the thing.
And you know, 110 rebounds.
Is this the thing for me? The restart, the reboot, the sit down for a minute.
Corona viruses here it almost puts everybody on a level playing field.
You have to look at it in that aspect.
When it comes to talking baseball as well.
Some people are gonna rise to the occasion.
Others will not.
The New Orleans pelicans rose to the occasion.
Now I know they lost.
They lost by a bucket.
This is a very close game.
Not something where you would go.
Utah just smoked him.
You couldn't say that if you tried.
Ah, Zion had I think he was in for about 15 minutes.
It was six for 8 13 points.
Uh, Ingram was the big score last night.
He had 23 points.
He played 33 minutes for New Orleans and they played well.
Um, so it definitely has the sense of a reboot.
You know, everybody is on the same playing field if you ask my opinion because when we come back, I'm going to talk about the Laker Clipper game because that when I watch from end to end and that one was really interesting.
And again, you look at these two teams and you feel like them going to sit down because of Corona virus Probably helped a lot of players, players that were hurt, players that weren't in the perennial shape that they're supposed to be or should be.
Look, I'm sorry if you're an N b a player and you have a contract and you're getting paid, I don't care if your second or third year guy doesn't matter.
You still got dough.
You're going to tell me that even if you live in an apartment, there's no basketball hoops out there because you're making all that money.
I'm hoping you're living in apartment At least a nice apartment complex.
Even the ones in the hood got basketball hoops on him, right? I mean, come on now, just saying should not be a ah should not be an issue.
So for these guys to be out of shape and some of them even saying things like, Well, you know, some of these guys just didn't have the, um most of word they used didn't have the resource is to be able to, you know, to get to a court, to be ableto you know, to do this.
And I'm here to tell you that's hogwash.
So don't give me that nonsense, but anyway, All right, let me get back to doing this.
I'm kind of do two things at once.
It's not working out, so I'm gonna take a quick break.
When we come back, We'll talk about Clippers.
Lakers, everyone a chime in hit us up.
I'll read the text.

Welcome back to the sports Guy Mike Show right here on K C P R 98 5 a.
10 40 in Colorado Springs, as well as 95 7 and we're online and 100 mics FM dot com.
And you can also see us over at SportsCastr dot com.
So there you go.
Sports Got Mike hanging out with you rockin solo on a Friday.
I wasn't expecting it, but hey will move forward.
So real quick back Teoh Some MBA scores from last night with the Utah Jazz in the Pelicans.
Donovan Mitchell had big numbers.
20 points, five rebounds, five assists for Utah in Over in New Orleans, you had drew holiday with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists for your big numbers for that day.
So, uh, like I said, Ronnie, I don't know why you're angry, but let me know.
Put it in the comments down there anyway.
Look, I know everybody loves LeBron James.
I am a guy who is a firm believer that LeBron James has tons of natural God given talent that I personally all my years on this earth have never seen.
And I give him the ultimate credit for that I always have.
But last night I it really irked me.
So anyway, the Lakers beat the Clippers one of 3 to 1 on one.
Okay? Paul George, 30 points, five rebounds.
Was the top performer for the Clippers for the Lakers.
Anthony Davis had a unbelievable game last night.
34 points. Eight rebounds Forces.
I had a great game.
His hair was killing me, though knocking a lot.
This is a show that we've always told the truth about, even the way guys dressed.
Look, act, You know, we get down to the nitty gritty.
We talk numbers in our opinions and everything else, but that, but with them Dukies, I'm sorry.
Look, this is a dude that is eight feet tall wearing Dukie breaks.
Sorry it wasn't working for me.
He was bothering me.
Every time I looked at this brother, I was that young man.
That's not a good look for you.
Just saying it is what it is.
However, he had a monster game played phenomenally.
Well, however, LeBron James Okay.
I don't know how better to put this.
I was watching this game.
First of all, I know that Everybody's rusty rest the players, coaches, whatever.
The roofs are hella rusty because they were missing all kinds of calls last night.
Now, I know people hate to hear that, but it is what it iss Don't tell me not to say it.
I'm gonna say it anyway, I'm gonna say in any Okay, so it doesn't matter.
The rest were horrible.
Missed a lot of calls in that game.
Um, I was kind of on the side of LeBron on a couple of them.
Um however, the end of the game, it's tied up, quiet comes down, gets the points, right.
Here comes LeBron flu and to end floor whole way down, gets the ball inbounded to him.
Start streaking down.
He's not looking for wing.
He's not looking for anybody open in the middle.
Nothing mind you two guys wide open could have taken a shot.
Okay, what is LeBron do? Drives to the basket.
Mind you with two people right there in front of them again.
Hence two guys open out on the wing, right.
Puts up this crappy shock leaves this feats.
One of the ugly shots I think I've ever seen the guy make in 17 years.
Being in the MBA, I don't think I've ever seen the guy shoot that ugly.
It was ugly when a bricked off the back, the back iron somehow he gets to his feet and jumps up, grabs it, tips it in Lakers win.
It was one of the most selfish things I've ever seen.
And this is a guy who I thought was becoming a better facilitator and has proven that over some time because in Cleveland, in order for him, that for them to win that he took a lot of it on his back and I get that.
But he became is a better facilitator in Cleveland the second time.
Then he was when he was in Miami.
Now Miami kind of didn't have a choice with Bosh and Wade and, you know, and everybody else, But he still wasn't a great facilitator.
It wasn't a guy that you wanted, bring it down the ball.
I still don't think that he should be dribbling from end to end.
It was ridiculous just to watch this.
Look, man, get back down into that forward spot.
I don't like him as a guard.
I don't like him bringing up the ball.
He's supposed to be technically a small forward, but this dude brings up the ball more than frickin guards do it just It bothered me.
It looked out of character for the way he's been as of late.
Is all I'm saying.
Did they win the game? Sure.
Could they have won the game if he would have passed the ball to somebody who was wide open to take a shot? Oh, for sure, ill advised.
It made him look selfish, like he wanted to be the one to win the game and that's fine.
I guess you have to have that mentality in some way, shape or form When you play professional, competitive sports, I get it.
But do these guys were wide open? Why don't they could have even driven to the basket, probably dunked to make sure that it went in.
And instead you throw up some brick.
He's one of the greatest players to ever play physically, is talented.
It's a big body.
It's a great player, but that was completely selfish of him, and it rubbed me the wrong way.
Not that LeBron James cares that sports guy Mike was rubbed the wrong way last night, But I'm just saying, because it's my show and it's my opinion.
So, um, as far as the Clippers quiet, Leonard had a really, really impressive game.
33 minutes free throws, really good, 11 for 13 3 for four on his three pointers and some of 16 from the field, he scored 28 points.
Look, y Leonard, for all intensive purposes, in my opinion, since the day since his second season in the MBA, all I could look at this kid and say this is the most well rounded, all purpose player I have seen in a long time.
Quiet, Leonard is that guy that that when people talk about putting LeBron James on any team makes your team better.
Makes you a playoff contender.
Were we talking is highly about the Clippers before Kwai got here.
No, no, we weren't right, So co I had an unbelievable game.
This guy is making this Clippers team better.
Everything about what he does, everything he shows these other players.
And look, you have a veteran presence on his team.
And Paul George, who played 34 minutes who was kind of getting robbed by them referees last night.
Um, he went two for four from the free throw line, 11 for 17 from the field and Natalia Paul George is pulling him threes.
Boy, last night he was 11 for 17 and scored 30 points.
Look, Paul, George is always gonna be a pain in your rear end having quiet.
And Paul George, Reggie Jackson These are your big three as faras That l a Clippers team goes right now.
Um, Reggie played 34 mention only had 10 10 points.
He didn't shoot as much.
He was three of 10 from the floor.
Um, but he facilitated Well, so this is a guy that you know it is always in the mix.
He's always under the boards.
Um, as a point guard.
To go out and grab six rebounds is pretty impressive.
Um, this is a very, very good basketball team, and I honestly, it bothered me that they didn't get to win, and I know that's just a personal thing for me.
Um, the Lakers went all this was said and done and and the Corona virus hit.
They were, what, 49 14 and the Clippers were 44 20.
Both these teams well over 500.
Both these teams the biggest threats to win and come out of the West.
Word these both these l A teams.
But last night it showed you.
Hey, Lakers, wake up.
Because if you don't, the Clippers are going to take this from me. Guaranteed.
Um, I know you have LeBron James.
I know you have Anthony Davis.
35 minutes, 34 points.
He was eight for 19 from the field.
Anthony Davis played his behind off and he moved to that basket more times than I've seen him in a long time.
Which took him to that freaked or line 17 times 16 to 17 and right.
He had eight rebounds, 34 points.
He played his behind off.
I would like to see him, maybe get his hands up a little bit more and get some blocks going, but you know, that's just me.
However, Anthony Davis is by far one of the most talented big men that LeBron James has played with. For sure.
Um, one of the best well rounded big men that LeBron has played with Chris Bosh was great.
Hey, no Anthony Davis and I like Chris Bosh.
Chris Bosch, unfortunately, because of medical reasons, you know, obviously can't play anymore.
But when he did play was a very talented guy.
But Anthony Davis is just It's completely different ball game when you get him And LeBron James.
JAVALE McGee Danny Green was killing it last night.
Um, two for six and a three point.
He only had six points, but they were points that were needed at a certain time.
So Danny Green was playing and you were just kind of like, Wow, Kyle Kuzma, Jesus marrying Joseph 32 points in 16.
32 minutes, 16 points.
Um, he was kind of a pain in the rear m for the Clippers last night, too, Because he was It was make.
He was scoring when they didn't think he was going to be able to drop in those threes.
He was four for seven.
You gotta You gotta cover that kid.
You know, half of his body is tattooed.
The other body half isn't.
I guess he's just slow working one side to get to the other, I guess.
It's just weird and the weird.
When you see people that are, like, covered in tattoos on like one side and then the other side there's not like a tattoo for miles, Just weird.
Anyway, um, but this was by far much, uh, it was a much better game than I thought it was gonna be.
It was, you know, from beginning to end, I mean, the Lakers came out and kind of blue the Clippers up in the first quarter, 35 to 23.
Then the Clippers came back second half 29 to 19.
They were pretty even in the third at 25 22 the Clippers actually had a 10 point lead at one point and I was like, Great, it's gonna be great.
Clippers gonna win.
And Lakers just came back and, you know, outscored him just enough in that fourth period by three to get this done.
And they ended up winning one or 3 to 1 on one.
But it is a great game.
Great way to start the MBA restart.
Ah, the MBA bubble, if you will, That people like to call it.
Um Look, I just call it basketball, man, you know, and got to be, you know, I mean, but I will say this.
You have that many people tested between Dana White in the U.
And Adam Silver in the MBA.
I know that the NFL cannot do a bubble like that.
I understand that.
But they can somehow figure out team bubbles because these guys have zero Kobe positive cases.
So, you know, then you have to think Is this how the MBA is gonna be from now? How crazy would that be? No more going to the game.
Oh, no, I will say this.
If you guys were watching last night, you saw the wall, so they took it a step further. than the MLB.
Instead of having cardboard cutouts and seats, they had these giant video walls and they had people in them.
And it was people like Boo in and cheering.
And everything else is hilarious.
It was absolutely hilarious.
They had have been using, like, n B A to K 20 You know, sounds for this thing, which was great because it helped because everyone somewhat I would look up And I was I I was on my phone. I was on my computer.
I was trying to watch this game and get some stuff ready.
And I'm looking and I would look up because I would hear the crab like And I look up and I'm like, Oh, crap.
So it, um, it definitely helped.
Definitely helped with them having that background noise.
So kudos to them.
Great. Start to the EMBA.
Thank you, Adam.
Sober Good job, buddy.
And ah, we look forward to, you know, more games coming up.
Because now tonight, I think, Jeez, how many games are on tonight? I think there are six games on tonight.

I'm just kidding, All right? Um, veteran running back LaShawn McCoy has reached an agreement on a one year deal with the Tampa Bay Bucks.
According to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who told ESPN Is Adam Schefter yesterday? He's very excited to play with established vets like Tom Brady and Gronk in trying to win another championship is what Rosenhaus told ESPN.
Now the addition of McCoy will push Ronald Jones, who took over duties on first and second down for the Bucks last season but struggled at times in pass protection and isn't a natural pass catcher.
McCoy also will push um, Dar Oh, for the third down spot as well.
Ogan by Ouali I think I said that right.
Anyway, Ah, the bucks needed a running back who could contribute in the passing game.
And McCoy has done that in previous stops.
As we all know, rookie running back Christiane Von was expected to help in this area, but he was placed on the reserve Kobe 19 list just this week.
So there you go.
Shawn McCoy could find himself deployed as a passing target in Tampa as well.
Because of, um, you know, it's just because of him being able to do it Before down April, McCoy told Sirius X M NFL radio that he's not ready to retire and hope to play two more seasons.
Nice, 32 years old.
This is a guy that you know at that age.
Running backs really don't last that long.
Those These are what we call unicorns.
Um, Adrian Peterson is definitely running back unicorn.
Not a guy that you see playing as long as he adds, but McCoy still got it.
So we'll see what happens.
Was reunited with coach Andy Reid shortly before the start of last season after signing a one year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs following his release from the Bills.
So we'll see what happens.
This could be that extra spark that Tampa needs, and I'm telling you, you better watch out for this team.
This is not a team that you know.
It is not going to do as bad as people think they're going to do.
I know that during the tough division, But look, these aircraft, Yvette's these guys that have been around a while, and when you get guys together like that, it's dangerous.
Just saying, Ah, this was some weird dis heartening news toe.
Find out Former Jacksonville Jags executive Super Bowl winning New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is in recovery after being hit well how riding his bicycle over the weekend, I'm like, Wait, what? How do you hit a 73 year old dude on a bike? So, apparently, Kopplin says he was riding in Jacksonville when another biker came out of nowhere and hit him.
Kabul was pretty banged up in the accident, claiming he suffered four broken ribs.
Ah, punctured lung and required stitches.
Look, I don't know what kind of bicycle in Yala doing in Jacksonville, but that sounds a combat bicycling to me now.
I don't know if it's because he's 73 years old and it didn't have to be that big of a hit and for you to puncture.
Ah, frickin lung and break four of your ribs.
Coughlin initially didn't want to go to the hospital, which makes it even worse, Coach, But family members were able to persuade him to go to the emergency room for X rays and a C T scan.
Look, I'm not even gonna I'm not even gonna front.
I'm right there with the coach.
I probably I don't know, though.
I would have felt that.
And you're like, No, gotta go.
Gotta go the hospital, Because using on that guy, you know what? It will just fix itself.
It would be fine.
I would have been That's what I would have done.
However, if I'm breathing.
No, because if you got four broken ribs, one of them ribs and got you know that messed you up, You need stitches, and you got a punctured lung.
Look, I'm hardheaded.
There's a big, big difference between the two.
Just saying it now.
We all know Coach uh started his NFL career in 1984 as an NFL coach.
Most memorably are.
Excuse me, most notably with Jacksonville and the New York Giants.
So we wish him well.
I hope he's doing better.
And, ah, the careful on their bite coach.
I mean, Dang, that's dangerous stuff, man.
Apparently, if you're in Jacksonville, what's out when you ride bicycles? Just saying, Ah, other news in the NFL.
The Buffalo Bill sent their rookies home from the teams facility yesterday as a response to five positive Corona test this week.
Um, she's Bills offensive back.
Dane Jackson and Ceron Neil were placed on the NFL's reserve Kobe 19 list yesterday, with the league source telling ESPN an NFL that both players tested positive for the Corona virus, leading the team to decide to conduct the day's meeting virtually again.
This is why I think that these guys need to be in a bubble while they are a training camp.
Look, if you're gonna miss the birth of one of your kids, I understand if you want to somehow get out of the bubble, come back.
Wait your 10 to 14 days in quarantine, then that's fine.
I know how important it is to be there at four.
Children love them all.
They all make me crazy, but I love them all and being there for the birth of your kids is huge.
It only happens once, so I understand that.
But at the end of the day, it's still your job.
And I think that the NFL needs to seriously look at considering putting these guys in training camp and in these facilities into a bubble because it is cut.
We're constantly hearing about this.
Guy's opting out up.
This guy got Corona by up this dude's positive up.
Just guys opting out.
It's going to keep your players from opting out.
Now, we don't have any new opt out on the list.
I'm looking at the list right now.
I don't see any new names on there.
However, putting them in a bubble might not be a bad idea.
Now, once you get them on a plane and you gotta have, you know, Jacksonville going to New York.
Okay, then Now we got to be a little more careful, you know, maybe those facilities need to bubble up.
There's no fans.
They're not letting fans in right, So why not bubble those facilities? Why not bubble? The training facilities say, Look, guys, we got it.
We got to stop the outbreak right.
We got a flatten the curve, right? That's that.
That's the terminology.
That's what everybody keeps saying.
So why not put a bubble around all these arenas now? Granted, I'm not saying go outside and put this giant round bubble thing over, you know, over Mile High Stadium, someone I'm saying.
What I'm saying is lock it down.
You're not going to tell me that there's not facilities or should say hotels and stuff like that, right next to your facilities that could be quarantined off.
Right? MBA? That's how many positive covert cases that have zero zip nada living in the bubble man.
And I think the NFL should I think, honestly that they were should think about it.
Look, Roger Goodell.
Look, yeah, I got nothing better to do, ma'am.
Figure out how you can do this.
I think it will save the NFL, and I think it'll save 16 games because right now it's not looking good.
It's just not you got too many guys opting out.
You got too many guys testing positive guys have pregnant wives there freaking out.
They don't want to get it, that I want to give it to their wives because the wives, because the pregnant mother is going to give it to the baby.
We've already seen that, and I don't blame these guys.
I honestly don't so NFL, wake up, try to figure this out.
So I'm looking at this list and again, we haven't had anybody else opt out since Johnny Atkins on the 29th along with Jamie Williams and those guys that I mentioned Now Nate Solder.
That is kind of a big hit for the Giants.
I will say that, but other than that, so apparently there's a lot of uproar in regards to this top 100 players of 2020.
Now, keep in mind, guys, this is a list of people and plus use me.
Players voted by players, so they literally say who they think +123 foot, you know what I mean? So they have a list one through 100 they get to put their list together and they turn it in. And that's how.
And if the NFL NFL dot com and all these guys come up with it and there is a huge freak out, apparently over where Patrick Mahomes fell Okay, now Obviously you go to NFL dot comment and find all these out.
The only thing I don't like is that they don't give me just a straight up list so I can see everybody.
It's only 100 names and I can't find it.
So I'm gonna click on these.
So number 10 is Derrick Henry.
Titans running back number nine.
Stefan Gilmore Cornerback, New England Patriots.
DeAndre Hopkins came in at number eight.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver.
Can't wait to see what he does in Arizona.
Number seven George Kittle.
Probably one of the best tight ends and blocking tight ends right now.
Um, look his honestly.
He San Francisco's number one receiver? Um, number seven.
Okay, I don't know if I feel that he should be in the top 10 but okay.
Christian McCaffrey, Number six.
Last year he was number 42 which was travesty.
The fact that he's in the top 10 is awesome.
The fact that is Number six, I think it's stupid, but whatever Michael Thomas great Hands last year was number 13 is number five this year.
North Saints wide receiver.
This is where everybody gets all butt hurt because Pat Mahomes was number four last year and he's number four again this year.
And everybody is in is up in arms.
Oh, my God, how could you make Pat Mahomes number four? He is the best quarterback in the league.
He's 1/2 a $1,000,000,000 meant great.
So what? That's where he fell, right? Look, I think Pat Mahomes is probably one of the best football players, period.
Front to back, um, in the league.
I don't doubt that for a second.
I will agree with people all day long, But there's some other guys, you know that apparently, players think are better.
Rams defensive end.
Look, I'll tell you what I think he's the nastiest, frickin defensive player in the game.
I don't mean dirty. I mean, he is good.
These nasties you'll get after it gets after the quarterback split, sees the fight.
I mean, these Lyman just bought some open.
He's a joy to watch.
I love watching this guy play.
I wish he was a stealer brand.
Someday he could be a Steeler before it's too late.
Number two Russell Wilson Last year was number 25 on this list again made by players.
Um, if you ask me, Russell Wilson is a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers.
We've had this comment.
We've had this discussion before not going to dive into it right now.
Well, since I'm by myself because I got nobody to bounce, that bounces off.
You got nobody to bounce it off.
So, um, I don't know if Russ is number two, okay, but he's definitely better than Aaron Rodgers.
Lamar Jackson came in at number one, Of course.
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback M v P.
Look, this is a guy that by far is a phenomenal town.
Is he the best player in the NFL? No, I know.
Um I I could put pat it one.
I'm OK with that.
I know people don't like putting defensive players as number ones in this thing.
I mean, I could put Aaron Donald up there.
I could put heck, I could put Michael Thomas up there.
He was beyond impressive this past year.
I think out of this top 10 I think the only one that really doesn't fit in my book is George Kittle and maybe even stuff on Gilmore.
Even though last year he was ranked 22nd.
He is definitely that guy, but I don't know if he should be in the top 10.
Derrick Henry? Absolutely So before I move on, gotta check.
So let's see who is 11 through 20.
Right? So 20 you got to Sean watching quarterback Houston Texans.
Khalil Mack is 19 of course, from the Bears.
Outside linebacker Travis Kelsey is number 18 Now.
I know people have been wondering.
So where did they put Brady? Nick Bosa is number 17.
Defensive end for the Niners.
Aaron Rodgers, 16 on this list.
Last year was number eight.
I think Aaron Rodgers could have been out of the top 20.
To be honest with you, their record did not reflect their play.
Sorry, they were not a 13 and three team.
You're not gonna convince me otherwise.
They were not a 13 and three team.
Those numbers were fool's gold.
And they proved in the playoffs.
Like I said, they would.
Um, he has no business being in this top 20.
Chandler Jones, linebacker from the Arizona Cardinals.
Okay, maybe not in the top 20.
Tom Brady came in at number 14.
Who is now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback.
Bobby Wagner, middle linebacker.
Beast from Seattle.
Like him in there.
Number 12 on this.
And Julio Jones came in at number 11.
Why? Receiver from the Atlanta Falcons? A lot of people are expecting big, big things out of Julio this year, and rightfully so.
Some things have to change, Julia.
Just saying All right, So, um, I'm gonna give you my MBA picks for tonight, Saturday and Sunday.
Um, let's see where we're at.
Why my own? Okay, there's Friday.
I'm like, What is going on? Okay, so these are picks that you're getting for free, but soon, maybe not so free.
Just saying, like I said, things you're changing around here, folks, things to change, things that move it.
But let me give you some Some of my picks for tonight's nb a basket.
Bo, we have some games going on this afternoon.
Orlando Magic and the Nets are playing Orlando.
Is this seven point favorite you can't use the home court advantage thing anymore? Doesn't work right.
So these air straight up picks both These teams have 30 wins, but if I had to pick I'm not saying this is a shirt.
It's not my surefire pick.
But if I had to pick, I would take Orlando.
Okay, Um, another game that you might wanna be on the lookout for is the Suns Wizards game.
Both these teams struggled, but give me Devin Booker.
Give me the seven points.
I will take the sun's over.
The Wizards for tonight.
Ah, A lot of people are picking Milwaukee there.
5 point favorite.
I wouldn't touch this game with 10 football, To be honest with you, I do like you, honest, but you can't count out guys like Jason Tatum and the rest of that Boston Celtic team.
Look, I know the Bucks air good.
I just wouldn't I wouldn't want to touch this game.
Only because these are both very, very good teams coming out of the East.
It's gonna be a great game. The watch.
I just wouldn't mess with it.
So take the sons, take the Magic Four for tonight.
Tomorrow. Got some pretty heavy games.
He taken on the Denver Nuggets Right here.
Um, you know, our beloved nuggets, yo, Kick is the guy that was averaging 20 points a game.
He was doing the daggone thing.
Look, the heat are good, too.
You got Jimmy Butler over there, man.
I like Denver's chances there.
Only a two point favorite.
I'll still take Denver, Um, in that matchup.
My other pick for Saturday would be the 70 Sixers Pacers game.
Take Philly to the 5.
5 point favorite over unders to 13.5.
Look, he looked good during these old practices. They had.
It was playing phenomenal.
He's got a chance to rest up Simmons at.
Look, this is gonna be a dangerous team Toe beat.
I know they're both left.
Cove it around 39 wins.
I like the Pacers. They're a good team.
And they're going to do well, just not tonight.
Give me the 70 Sixers over the Pacers on Saturday.
And then Sunday you got some matchups as well.
Um, can early Some of the lines still aren't out yet, but I will say this.
Keep your eye on the grizz.
Just saying keep dried on the grizz.
Even though DEMAR DeRozan is part of that San Antonio Spurs lineup, you got the spurs.
You got the Grizz.
I kind of like the Grizzlies.
If I had a kill these kids, if I had to pick up now you got troubles and the Celtics playing on Sunday as well on ABC, that'll be a good game to watch.
Um, I know you got game time.
I don't know if he's playing, So give me the Celtics on Sunday.
Look that Celtics on Sunday, and that's your Sunday pick.
And those are some sure fire picks for you.
UH, L a Angels and MLB Place Mike Trout on paternity leave now is going to talk about this is being an issue with these MLB players, but I don't have any co host aim.
Unfortunately, we're at a time so good luck to Mike Trout and his lovely wife on their first child that will be born this summer.
So congratulations to the trout family.
Some great games coming up this weekend, so make sure you not only gets watched basketball this weekend, you get to watch a baseball and one of the biggest robberies in sports Red Sox Yankees in the Bronx this weekend.
So that's gonna be a great matchup.
