and we are live Welcome in everybody to second and goal sports stuck.
We have used the Green Room and gotten Chris in in advance.
As you concede, it's awesome.
New feature on sportscast there.
This is my third live stream of the week.
I did one earlier today about the Memorial Tournament.
Third round played by place.
You should definitely watch, and the audio should be a little less delayed since I'm on a phone call with Chris.
You won't be completely perfect, of course, but it will be pretty good, I would say.
And we're gonna have the best show ever.
That's what we said.
And I see Mitchie Sports has already joined the broadcast.
Thanks for joining.
Uh, what's up? Um, so we'll get started in a moment.
This is gonna go until I guess we'll go till about 8:25:08:30 p.
Because once again we have started the show late.
We have not started.
A second goes aboard stock on time yet, but we're still trying.
It's always with one thing or another always happens, so we'll start with the probably the biggest news of the week and There were some pretty big news stories of the week, but this is the about the P G.
The Memorial Tournament third round has just wrapped up.
What do you think of them? Will be returning.
I'm really glad to see it back.
I guess there's already a couple of games on right now.
Um, Chris, I know you're I'm guessing you're glad to see it back as well.
Yeah, it's kind of the main topic of this video.
Actually, we're gonna be doing a lot of MLB things.
Yeah, that's versus Yankees Phillies, and that's there's game. Let me see.
There's Indians and Pirates on right now.
So, uh, yeah, the biggest.
The news from Gulf today.
I mean, baseball, I guess, is actually the biggest news.
And we're talking about baseball.
But the biggest news right now is the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament.
Third round has been wrapped up, and it was a really fun ride throughout the third round because you saw because of that, the course is playing so tough right now, all further through all the three rounds every player averaged for the overall players averaged over par.
The cut was at three over and we saw a lot of like leaderboard changing at one point.
Tony B now was up by a lot on the leader board, but right now, Jon Rahm is four shots above anyone else at 12 under par fee now and Ryan Palmer, type of second it eat under.
Danny Willett is at US 396 over par.
Thank you, Jax Man, 45 for joining the broadcast in 36.
Danny Willett is alone and forth at six under.
Jason Day Henrik nor Lander at minus five.
Matt Wallace Touch Ezri Viet minus four.
Revie finished off the day pretty badly.
He was at one under for the day, but then finished it to over Grand. They went to three.
Thanks for joining the broadcasts.
Well, Patrick can't Lay Rogers.
Hugh Mackenzie Hughes.
Three under par. Scheffler.
Gary Woodland, Kevin not Rory McIlroy At two under.
Tiger Woods is at two over par.
Phil ****elson's at three over par.
Berks captures at four over par and, as you probably already know, Bryce into Shambo was cut after shooting a quintuple bogey on the par 5/15 hole.
I'm so Chris, I think this is a really interesting tournament Web.
I think while it looks like Rahm a run away with that, I think the course has been so variable that anyone can catch up in just a matter of a few holes.
I mean, we saw thank you.
Just one and 45 for the follow.
But we saw Bryce into shambo Totally crumble at the end of miss the at the end of, ah, round to I think it was And that was just Yeah.
I mean, that kind of shows he was in the position toe, make a run and definitely make it.
But he had that 1 10 and that set him totally back.
So that could really happen to any player.
I don't know if you guys can hear the dogs barking, but I don't.
Well, I didn't hear by my home.
You have a working match in my front yard.
I don't know who they are, but they just decided.
I think they're all fans of the second ago sports talk.
So they all decided tune in pretty much.
It's probably Yeah, basically, Yeah, they're like they're all so excited for the show.
I mean, they came contain their excitement.
They just have to release it through barking.
Maybe we're just from allowing dogs in the backyard.
At least it through.
Yes, babies, The best cat ever.
So she's a little sick right now, so she's not going like she's not me yelling like usual but sick with this baby.
I think she's had, like, kidney disease for a while, and she's sick, but she's recovered each time, so she should be fine.
So there's no need to worry.
This is We're talking about sports right now, so let's see any other story lines.
I mean, Bryson to Shambo, was really up and down through his 1st 2 rounds.
It shows how like power can only take you so far, because I mean his accuracy isn't the best.
His power is insane, but he misses his first Cup since the pandemic came.
But yeah, the biggest news, I guess that we talked about skin is the MLB spring training schedule on the MLB is starting in like five days.
The MLB spring training is being played right now, Phillies and knacks, Indians and Padres, Yankees and Mets ball playing right now.
Tomorrow we've got Orioles and Phillies at 605 p.
Eastern time at 705 Mets and Yankees, 805 White socks and Cubs and 8 10 Diamondbacks and Dodgers sourcing.
All these teams come back, and right now I think, Chris, you said the Phillies air upon the NATS.
I mean, it doesn't really matter too much. It's just spring training.
I don't think there's any way that you could make that into a sign of things to come.
Or the Nats are gonna struggle of the greatest just spring training.
You know, they don't we don't know who the Nazi been playing.
I think Max choose their came in for like 1/8 inning, even though he did get, Ah, home run hit all him.
I don't think that's gonna be a consistent thing that we'll see, but yeah, I mean, this is spring training and mak Sure, there has always 11.
He's always a lot more home runs than other pictures, but he's like such a study, even at 36 so there's nothing to worry about.
If you're a Nats fan, Um, and the defending World Series champs should be fine.
Oh, thanks. Grand.
A 123 Did you listen to the podcast? It's called the Second in Gold Fantasy podcast for people who didn't know.
Yeah, that's cool that we have been doing, SportsCastr.
Put a lot of time in.
Yeah, we started our first episode of the lobster.
I think our latest episode is an interview with Christopher Harris.
So you guys want Crystal? Harris is like one of the top and people called podcasts on all of apple podcasts.
I mean, I think he's, like, sixth all time advantage.
Football podcast downloads.
We had a nice interview.
He gave us some advice.
He also gave all the listeners some fancy advice and as well as us.
I mean, always something that you can learn for fantasy.
And, uh, it's just overall really fun show.
Yeah, it was really great to have him on guessing ground a 123 Listen to that episode as well, but yeah, I think we're gonna be doing our MLB predictions later today, so I think we should probably save the ****ysis for then Unless you have anything else you want to say? Nope, I think.
Um, ready to get into other things.
All right. Sounds good.
He said that podcast was a me.
You should do more co labs.
Yeah, we've done a couple in the past two weeks.
Last week, the previous week, we interviewed Austin, our good friend who hosts a podcast called Don't Worry About It.
And you Have you been reaching out to a ton of people for a guest.
So yeah, I I agree.
Coal abs are really fun.
So, um, yeah, thanks for listening.
It's good to always have new listeners.
Next piece of news from the NFL is the NFL announces a or three week injured reserve stint for players who test positive for Cove in 19.
And since we have a fence for podcast will be talking about the fantasy impact here is well, was on the show.
But I think Chris, let's just start with the NFL impact.
I mean, three weeks, obviously u um, having anyone who was exposed to someone having cove it is supposed to his quarantine for 14 days.
I think three weeks is a nice, safe way to do it, but that's gonna be really interesting to see, like how the I r will work like, Well, I guess they'll be able to come back infinitely.
It won't matter that if they use one of their i r returns loss.
I mean, it's just it's kind of Ah, I guess it's the right thing because, you know, people would say, Hey, do two weeks Because that's the thing.
But you always it's better safe than sorry.
So you want to make sure that you're getting rid of it with that three week thing? But it is to have Aton of NFL impact.
I mean, because even if someone say is all like is on Lee hasn't for a short period of time, then right away they test negative or something like, I don't know how long it takes to go away.
But if it goes away really fast or something, then they could be sitting on the i r. For three weeks.
Not having anything to do, you know, it could really yeah, not only fan, uh, the NFL, but fancy.
Yeah, and the thing is about that, too.
It's like you've got the NFL impact and yeah, like you said Chris, you've got fantasy impact to major fantasy impact because I think the NFL is also considering where players could off out of playing the season even without a medical exemption.
I think, by the way, thank you, Angels Angel for joining the broadcast.
Um, but yeah, you could be maybe potentially off, down just if you wanted Teoh.
And then I think it's good to be safe, but that will be very interesting to see if players oft outfit like NFL and then therefore they're not.
They're useless and fantasy.
And then you see last depth, more little known guys emerging.
And not only that players were covert going the i.
R for three weeks.
This is gonna be an insane fantasy season.
I can't wait to do it because it's gonna be so many things.
I don't want time for someone to get fantasy football Hall of Gas, specifically the second goal fantasy podcast.
It's now because there's gonna be Aton of changes in different things.
Cons of news that you're gonna eat and not last.
The season goes on and and before the season I mean, everything kind of covert related is gonna be going down and more then be giving you guys Probably the spiel of what's happening each week, because it's gonna be totally different each week.
I think, yeah, there's gonna be We're probably gonna have to make a, uh, an injury report segment sort of a little future.
I look for the podcast.
I mean, we actually have not revealed this to anyone yet, but right now, I mean, our current plan, like for the regular podcast is during the season will have a waiver wire segment.
I mean, the podcast will release every end Wednesday.
So if you want to see guys who will probably be taken before the waiver period ends, you should look at our urgent ads section of the website at cites dot google dot com slash view slash second goal fantasy.
But we'll have a waiver wire segment, will have starter sit with some players and will have plays in spades.
Guys that were playing next week or like put high on and then guys that we're are also fading and things like that and I think plays and fades might have some guys that are close to playable as well, but like mainly the guys who are coming out as sleepers not necessarily people on the waiver wire, and I think we might Chris have to have a covert 19 segment every single week now.
Oh, this is happening.
Covert is gone by then, so we don't have to worry around it, but oh, I wish it would just go on by September.
Yeah, I hope I I'd like to hope that it would be gone by September.
You are a least not too big of an issue. Yeah.
I mean, there's make really gonna be some impact.
You want it to be small enough where, like, you can pretty much resume normal life.
Just maybe a little bit of extra hand washing itself.
Thank you for the popcorn.
I hope that means that you're enjoying the show.
Yeah. Thank you. Angels Angel for the tip.
We really appreciate it and s Oh, yeah, that's that's basically it for the NFL right now.
We'll let you guys know in future weeks about what the NFL is agreeing to.
I think training camp are supposed to start on time right now just to get the players time to warm up and stuff.
But I mean, overall, if it's if it can be safe, I'm super happy Decided not to.
I mean, I'm I'm just I can't wait for sport to be back from Calvin.
You sent a video to me the other day of the top 15.
Like sports network themes.
Oh, yes, like Oh, no, go away, Corona virus, please.
I need the TV NFL on Fox Seem was number six and I was like, What the heck? That's like the best one ever.
And then CBS March Madness is number two.
And actually, of course, when I heard that college football, it's so good to Yeah, I mean, CBS is has good ones in general, but like their March madness, it's just it.
Partly it has to be based on the sport, because when you get that thrill, it's like someone has made like, this dunk or it's like a minute to go.
And they made, like this long three to get up by two.
And then it's like, done and then done.
And then it goes commercial.
It's like so you get chills.
And then, though, do we have copyright rights to play it on the show E play? Let's see here Eso while we wait.
Let me just get pull up the next piece of news for today.
Um, I'm getting some texts.
I better not see you texting like you were on last show.
Chris was texting during the middle of the show last time, but next piece of news.
The Canada has banned the Toronto Blue Jays from playing home games in their country.
So the Blue Jays cannot play their home games in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, which Chris is going to be really interesting.
I mean, I think I understand Canada wanting to be safe and stuff, but I think it's gonna be interesting to see where they choose.
It's definitely gonna be a competitive.
Actually, I can't say it's gonna be a competitive disadvantage because there's no fans.
So I think this might be a little bit overblown in terms of an impact, because I don't think it'll have too much other than the Blue Jays having to live somewhere else besides Toronto.
But, of course, they have enough salary to do so.
Yeah, so, yeah, they could, just like I don't think too much of an impact out of it because there's no fans I mean, you don't have to worry about it too much.
Really competitive disadvantage.
We'll get into our MLB division predictions now, Chris, you ready for that? No, that's the main topic of this show.
And so we'll get into them.
And this is not our playoff tradition.
Were predicting who will make the playoffs.
You know what, Chris? You just texted just Oh, my God.
Texting during the show.
Chris, that's unacceptable.
And you're like, Well, go.
Okay, I'm very serious.
You can tell. Right broadcast.
Yeah, thank you very much.
If Either way, if you want to comment along, join us on at SD Sports talk.
If you join on at Krispy, we're not looking at the comments.
Oh, yeah, I think that might be my grandma.
Thank you for joining us.
Uh, it's possible.
I don't know if she made an account or not, but she's I know she's watching the show.
So shout out to her.
But we're doing our will be division predictions now, and so we'll start out with the N.
Of course, we're just predicting who will win the division and then the two wild cards in each each week, like the NL in the A l.
So we'll start with the N L.
East and Chris, I think at the top, the end at least is gonna be really close.
Like you've got the Nats and the Braves competing for the top spot there.
And I think I'm interested to see who makes your top spot.
One team is on the rise.
One team has really nowhere to go but down as they're the defending World Series champs just going, I want to hear your take in your argument for this.
Yeah, So, uh, for the number one, I have to see them Washington Nationals And I just feel like it's gonna some price of people.
What? I feel like it's the right pick.
I think that they have ah, lot of talented pitching staff.
I mean, they have Mac Shires, Aaron, Patrick Corbin who are both like, top in the top five for favorites to win the N L. Cy Young.
Then they have ah, Strasbourg, who is probably in the top eight, you know? So they've got three guys that are at the top of the NL division.
As Faras pitching goes, I think that that's really a huge strength that there's.
I mean, David Martinez isn't an insanely good coach.
I mean, since they fired him, the Nats have won the World Series.
That kind of turned a poor season with him into just a totally insane season, obviously, winning the Super Bowl like they had the best record after that 19 and 31 point.
They have the best record after that and went on to win the world's use.
That was fun to wash.
That was a really That's just a good story.
Good, not it wasn't really actually was pretty much a Cinderella story.
I mean, like, tell you want it how you want the year to end for with a crazy win like that.
But I just think that the Nationals have a lot of potential and I think that they can make something out of.
Maybe they don't have the strongest hitting core.
I mean, maybe they don't have all the talent that the Braves you, but at least in the batting order, I mean, they have ah, more talent in pitching, obviously batting, Maybe not, and that's all kind of opinion, But then I just think that David Martinez could make something out of that.
I really like Juan Sodas chances next year to be really good.
So he's a favorite player of mine.
I just think that they're all gonna overall have a really solid seated.
Yeah, I think they will to I agree with you.
I think it's gonna be close, but that the natural hold on for one more season.
I think the Braves are a year away from winning the division.
They've got a lot of on the rise up talent that obviously losing Anthony and losing Anthony Rend own for the Nats.
Hurt, of course, but I think they'll still be able to recover and hold on for one more year.
They are very old team.
So on while they do have young stars like Juan Soto and Victor Roadless, they've still got some older guys on there, so they'll be able to hold on for another year.
But this might be the last gasp for the Nationals that you'll see for a little while, although I think I mean, though, they should be able to hold on at least be decent for a few more years, I would say I mean, they're starting.
Pitching has really been like the pride of that team for so long, So I guess we agree.
I think three and four in this division is where we start to disagree.
And I think I think it's a really close call.
I mean, yeah, I mean, it's Phillies and Mets and I have the Phillies and the Mets go in that order.
Chris has Mets and Phillies three and four.
I just think the Mets have never really lived up to their potential.
And since they fired ****ey Callaway last year, they have a new manager in Lease RoHaas and the Mets have just They have a lot of talent.
Thank you, Amos 22 for the tip.
But they have a lot of talent, but they just never really been able.
They've never managed it well, and having a new manager doesn't really help.
Ah, they just don't have that many stars.
Jacob deGrom and I mean Noah Syndergaard has sort of underwhelmed the past couple years.
I won't say the Grown has, but Noah Syndergaard has been a little bit underwhelming on their pitching.
I just feel like can't really do as much as people expect it to.
Meanwhile, the Phillies have Aaron and Nolan picture who's a stay.
I mean, they're pitching is that pitching is good, But I mean, I'm just saying I know and I know I know.
I didn't say about the Graham.
I was just saying Syndergaard hasn't been playing as up to his expectations the last couple years.
I'm saying I know the pitching stop is still great, that it's not as good as people think.
Okay, well, the Phillies have more overall firepower.
I didn't mean to say maybe from an officer standpoint, but I don't like the from A From an offensive standpoint, the Phillies definitely are better.
I'm just saying, I mean, I think the Phillies can get closer to the Mets in terms of pitching and during people think Then people think I'm not trying to say that Mets have a worst pitching staff in the Phillies.
That's obviously not Yeah, okay, I kind of agree.
I still think that the Mets are gonna hold on.
I think that Jacob deGrom's can ever really good you.
I think that no Syndergaard is gonna have.
Ah, a bit of a bounce back year.
So I don't mind the Mets.
I just don't trust their ah, their offense, a batting order.
And there, on that end of the scale, as much as I think I need to to get them it, number one or number two? Yeah, I think that's where I just think that mats their offensive firepower, they're not gonna score Brennan runs, and their bullpen has been inconsistent over there and then and use to number five out ago.
And Marlin, I mean, I think this is their kind of the odd team out in the N L East.
You know, they don't really have any kind of our firepower on the offensive or defensive sides.
Yeah, I've got daring that Peter, who is no longer playing, of course, but as their owner.
So, um, but yeah, the Mets don't really have much, but are the Marlins don't really have much There definitely finished last in the division.
You don't really need a They're not really that much of a threat might sneak a few games here and there, but they're just one of those teams.
That's so go to the n F Central and Chris.
I don't think this is the division where we might have disagreed the most, although I think we started to agree more as we ended preparing.
I got the Cardinals at number one because the Cardinals have been really solid for a number of years.
And Jack Clarity, their ace had an outstanding season last year.
It was one of the best pitchers in baseball.
I think that's supposed to continue this year.
He's super young, so there's no progression that should be coming unless he just suddenly has a strange drop off.
But I think clarity will lead this team that's very consistent all around.
They've got nice hitters, Teoh.
I mean, I guess they've got okay, depth and the rest of their starting rotation, and I think they'll be led to.
I mean, this division is a good division, although it's just sort of muddled with a lot of teams that have potential.
But I don't think we'll like, really fully exercise it, at least in this coming year.
Yeah, the I have Thea, I've the Cubs at number one and and ah the Reds at number two and the Cardinals at number three and I think the reason I have the Cardinals at number three, because there's no one in that batting order that I'm too scared of, No.
One that I think that as an opposing ah team or picture that I would think, Hey, we need to watch out for that car.
One guy that I can trust to step up in big moments and ah, Clarity's is only gonna play one in every five games.
So if you don't have him on the mound, I'm a little bit worried about the Cardinals trances.
I think they also have Ah, Matt Carpenter to I think he's a picture I'm not.
Oh, no, he's a But he's a good guy.
He is, He's you're scared of.
He's the guy couldn't get on base that you can get on base.
There's the firepower in that offense, and I feel like when Jack Clarity's out, I don't really trust that offense.
Teoh pick up what What's missing? But I feel like I like starting pitching takes more importance like I mean, this might sound I mean that I don't think this sounds that ridiculous.
Like with the loss of Anthony Rend own for the Nats like, Who are you really scared of? Besides want.
So they've got a lot of good hitters but wanted to someone.
But their starting pitching is good enough to wear those make a good running in their division.
The Cardinals starting pitching is enough to make up for that.
I agree that they don't have the same death, but I think they're pretty good, I think are solid.
But I don't think they're a first place team, but I think they're definitely in contention.
I think 12 and three with the Cubs, Reds and Cardinals and even for with the Brewers, I think that's gonna be a 14 race all for that top spot.
Okay, I'm not just that excited about any other teams.
I think I put the Reds at number two because they, they have depth in their starting rotation.
They don't have the None of them are as good as Jack Clarity, but like they've got a very solid guys and Luis Castillo, Sonny Gray and the other Bauer.
I'm not expected there did.
They are using your Suarez or something you know so far is like he's the one guy that I really scared of on offense.
I think they won't do that much on the offensive side of the ball other than that.
And that's why Minister, this division in general just doesn't have that much offensive firepower except the Brewers, who have Christian yell at you.
If you're not scared of I don't know what's wrong with you.
Yeah, and then So where do you have the Brewers? Christie of them at four.
Yeah, I have a bruise that I have the Cardinals at three in the Brewers at four.
I have the Berbers at three and the Cubs it for I mean, the Brewers there just I mean, they're all round solid Christian Yelich shot and break out near M V P season last year.
I mean, Josh Hater is one of the best relievers in the game.
He had a bit of an inconsistent stretch, I think, but he's still up there.
He's still has that huge firepower, and I think he has the ability to go multiple innings.
So, yes, so he's kind of guy that he's such a useful reliever, and he's one of the more useful, like the more influential relievers for a team that.
I think the Pirates are obviously number five and the Cubs are just number four because ever since 2016 they just haven't really excited.
I mean, they know this.
Let Kris Bryant still got some of their guys still about Jon Lester.
But I'm not excited about Jon Lester.
Jon Lester is good, but he hasn't really been great for a few years.
I feel like and even when he was great, he wasn't like the best in picture in the in the in the game or anything like that.
Yeah, the reason I have the comfort number one.
And like I said, this division is gonna be mushed between 1 34 I mean, the fact that I can have the Cubs at one and Calvin can have them enforced so shows how crazy this division could be.
I mean, they could go really Anyway, recent.
I have the Cubs.
There's I think they have the best offense in the N L Central.
I mean, have ah, Kris Bryant.
They've Anthony Rizzo.
There's just a ton of guys that I trust to get on base.
I think I'm not sure Ben Zobrist is still with him, but yeah, I mean, he was when he was, he was just a solid player who put up numbers.
Wasn't the greatest ever, but like he did the job.
Yeah, uh, I think that they have enough starting pitching to, ah, kind of well to compete in the n l Central and, ah, I don't know.
I kind of just overall like the team are easily I like head coach, still matted.
I mean, he's been around in the game for so long, and he knows what he's doing. Definitely an overall.
I just really like the team.
So I think that they're going to sneak by air, going very sneakily.
Maybe towards the end of season, kind of move up those rankings and again, a top four that I think is gonna be bunched together.
But then we have number five, and that's the Pirates.
And I think they're similar to the Marlins in the way that they are definitely the outlier in this division, and they are going to be absolutely awful and really struck next year.
Total rebuild? Yep.
Especially in this tough division.
There's gonna be every division matchups gonna be like a struggle.
They're gonna lose like almost every single one.
And even if they win, it will be a huge struggle.
Because all these teams have good strengths.
Even the cops rabbit for so, um yeah, right, Chris, that it's so close.
The NL West isn't really close for number one, Chris.
I mean, the Diamondbacks are good, but it's got to be the doctor I got.
One of the group is this officer that they got, Ah, Mookie Betts and David Price, too, though David Price will be sitting out.
So I guess that doesn't really count with just the addition of Mookie Betts is gonna help.
They also have Ah, what's name? Uh, Cody Bellenger.
Except Khomeni Kershaw.
And then they still have up like Clayton Kershaw.
Clayton Kershaw is on the on the down.
I think a little bit, though.
I think that he's gonna have an off year next year.
Yeah, they're starting pitching isn't what it was last year, because last year they lost Kenta Maeda and Rich Hill in free agency.
They've stepped, got the same depth there, still a good starting rotation.
But since they've been a World Series contender with almost the same team for a few years now.
I feel like they can still be and do definitely do enough to win the division.
Yeah, and we'll go with the Diamondbacks at number two.
I think, Chris, we both agree with this one is Well, uh, they obviously there.
So, the Diamondbacks, I think he is when we see her.
Right? Sheckler, go check here.
Well, I mean that in any way.
The Diamondbacks, they still have the same Basically same thing, kiddo.
Marty back is on the Cardinals.
Really? Just my rankings for the Cardinals.
We don't have the cardinals.
The number 10 in that case, that proves my point.
I know. I did not.
Uh I'm going to move the cardinals up to number one with that.
All right? Hey, back.
You're so not often the weapon that I think anything that's interesting.
Yeah, it kind of hurt the Diamondbacks a little, but I don't think it puts them far enough down who? I haven't number three to the, uh, whoever number three Colorado Rockies.
So, yeah, I think the Diamondbacks they basically have the same roasters last year when they were really competing and really in the mix for playoff spot.
They got Madison Bumgarner to who isn't what he used to be.
But he's still good.
I mean, he's yeah, undoubtedly, still go.
Definitely. And they have a lot of young guys.
They have a lot of fast guys.
The the, uh, Diamondbacks were always that one team that you never knew why, But they always did sort of, well, against your team.
And you're just like, Oh, come on, you know, because they played in 9 40 each night.
We'll know, even with a lot of what a weird time eats piece of their rosters, just like I feel like That's the Marlins.
That's the Marlins two.
That's the Marlin Marlin, the marlin Now there are there.
Well, they're still pest, you know, the Marlins air like pesky e like they always I don't know against them all.
And then they just you get to see your team, Okay? Little money runs as they can.
Well, I end in the past few years, when they were okay, they just almost like Katy Lopez applicable team.
They were never Well, they are the Marlins record 2020 right? Okay, Yeah, that's very good.
One of the best teams in the one of the best teams in the now and in the in their division to save a lot of games that works.
Uh, all right, don't let alone.
I think the Rockies are a good contender at third.
I mean, they're hitting has always been great for years and years and partly because they play in the most batter friendly ballpark there is at Coors Field.
But if they're pitching, their pitching hasn't been.
It was better than usual last year, and I think if it takes a step forward, they have a chance to beat out the Diamondbacks for second.
It's not a huge chance, but like they actually, they're pitching actually was not bad last year, so that's what that's what I liked from the Rockies.
I think they could still haven't have a role.
There are not quite a playoff team, but I would say they're pretty close and in this division, I think they'll finish there.
What about you, Christian? I mean, like, let me see if I can find this on.
That's for sprawling things.
Well, here, actually What did you What did you say? Hall.
And your question? I'm just saying that the Rockies, I feel like if they were pitching, took a step forward that could become second in the division with the Diamondbacks.
They're hitting is always been great.
And their pitching was better than usual last year, so I mean, I like a lot.
That's good to see.
Yeah. I mean, I would agree with you.
I agree with you.
There you have it. Number four.
Who do I have a number for? The Padres really up.
Fernando Totti's juniors, obviously their main star, but they've got a really not news Instead of man.
Emilio was added Manny Machado to it.
He was added to complement Kirby Yates, who is top probably top three, at least top five closer in baseball.
So the Padres have a really nice bullpen, and they've got enough on offense to beat out the Giants, who are another just rebuild team.
So I think they'll finish fourth.
Yeah, I mean, do I don't I don't trust many, Machado enough.
I mean, I think that this is a division that I don't mind too much.
I just think that the Rockies, we're gonna just slide in front of them.
I think it's gonna become is a bit of a surprise to some people.
But I think that Padres haven't totally figured out their team yet.
There are a lot of question marks there.
I mean, I don't think it's a surprise to say the Rockies.
A lot of the Padres.
The Rockies were in contention.
Audrey's were ahead of the the Rockies.
I feel like the kids were playing well last year.
So are the Diamondbacks.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think I think it'll be pretty close.
But I think that the Rockets will grab.
Like I said, I just don't trust the San Diego.
Yeah, I mean, that's where they still need to figure out their team for sure.
And they paid Machado's so much to so the wild cards.
Chris, I think the Braves in the Diamondbacks for my wild card race because our number five, both the Giants who were in rebuilding but go back to your wild card, don't have the Braves is my 1st 1 I think they'll easily won the most games out of any non division winner in the National league.
They'll get the easy number one wildcard spot with all their young attack, and they might get a few upsets in the playoffs to I wouldn't be shocked.
Also, the Diamondbacks, I think we'll make it, will piece together another solid season like they did last year.
Another wildcard season.
Sneak into the second spot once again.
Yeah, I originally had the Braves in the Red six.
I had the Reds in second place.
Brit, looks like my new wildcard team will be the Chicago Cubs.
All right, I think that me, I just think that they're gonna I think they're gonna have a good season.
I think that now, with the Cardinals being number one now knowing that they have Paul Goldschmidt, who I really like next year Ah, I think that that's gonna forced to come down number two.
But I think that they're still going to get a playoff berth in form of the wild card.
I mean, that's fair.
I think they'll be a few games back, but I just don't think they have enough firepower right now.
Um, get it So I mean, I can see your point, but they just start there not the team that they used to be, that's for sure.
Like you could look through every respond on their roster and just say, Old this guy in 2016 and say This guy did so much for the team like then they've still got some of those guys, but not nearly as money.
So we'll go to the A L.
This is, and we'll start with the A L East to I think this might be one of the most obvious division wears, even though there's another good team in this division, the Tampa Bay Rays.
I think the New York Yankees, they were already like, so good, especially it in batting, and their one weakness was pitching.
I just is Masahiro to knock out for the year.
I think he might be.
No, but I mean, at least we're replacing with Gerrit Cole is an upgrade, for sure.
So I mean, their pitching has gotten a little bit better in any case, and I think that's one of the things that's their weakest point and they'll definitely win the division.
Although I mean good batting, but not good pitching can only take you so far, not having to prove my point of the the Nats worth Ah, them are The Marlins were foreign 15 against the Washington Nationals.
OK, I worry about Pesky.
That's the one game like on any teams roster and look and say over the Marlins.
Yes, the Tigers, the Royals.
The one game, the Mariners, Marlins.
Okay, well, the Tigers are Napoli might be helpless.
Yeah, the Marlins There might be like, the third worst team.
And we should do a segment where we rank the teams who are the worst.
And but yeah, I mean, Chris, I think the Yankees is pretty obvious.
I don't know if you find anything else to say.
I mean Aaron Judge, of course, just really breaking out.
As if there was, like, not a more obvious statement than Aaron judges really breaking out.
And they have so many injuries last year.
Keep in mind and they still played well.
So if they can stop getting hurt, that team is taking off.
They might win a World Series even without good pitching, which is so where, um, but they also the Tampa Bay Rays are my second team in here, and their pitching staff they think the thing about that is they have such a low people.
They don't have those guys that are on high contracts, but they have guys like lakes.
Now we're just like stars.
And their starting rotation was so good last year, so I think they're sort of like a I guess they're pretty young.
Sort of like a on the rise team.
That's not in the elite here just yet.
Yeah, I kind of agree with you.
I mean again, I have some agreements here.
I definitely agree.
I mean, there close to the elite here, but quite I would definitely rank them.
Like that's exactly where I would have them pretty much.
All right, So you've got Yankees and Rays one and two.
Ah, Okay. Number three, Boston Red Sox.
All right, Nice.
Boston Red Sox just of losing Mookie Betts.
They really didn't live up to any potential last year and struggled in the agency.
Like why they have to get rid of me.
But when they have so much money like it definitely had the money to afford.
It was just over also removed.
And they got a really bad Yeah, I would like the Red Sox.
Just I don't even know.
I might move the Blue Jays ahead just cause the Blue Jays have more potential.
The Blue Jays at four have so much potential with the young guys two sons of like former Stars Cabin Vigee video, BDO and, ah, Glamour Guerrero Jr.
They could take a step forward and maybe unquote more on star level.
Then that's a team that I like even more.
You saw them last year playing, all right? I think they could outplay the Red Sox.
And I might Well, that's gonna be so close.
Red socks and Blue Jays.
That's gonna be very close.
Uh, the Blue Jays in for Chris.
All right, It's no more ****ysis, just, yeah, abilities it for I don't really know that much about their team.
I mean, to be honest, but I don't think that they haven't kind of things that I'm excited foreign last season.
So I think that they'll slide in before Yeah, those slide in the third or fourth for me.
They're just an okay team.
I would say the last team is the Baltimore Orioles, who, aside from Trey Mancini, basically have nobody and await. No, but they have.
Who's that guy? I remember that guy.
What's who's there? Good picture.
They have, like one good picture, too, from the Or Was the Orioles What's his name? Yeah, he played really well last year.
Rials. Good picture.
John means That's who it was.
I think he sort of struggled a little more at the end of last year, but John Means played pretty well.
I would say last year and he actually for a while he was like an east for them.
So besides means in Manzini the two m's.
I think they can't really do much.
They're gonna settle into a far last place.
They're not really close to the Blue Jays or the Red Sox.
Yeah, there's no chance for the Orioles here in Orioles fan.
I call just in the last two years and probably this year I'm just gonna was one name that I can use to describe it safe which Davis Christie bad.
And that's how I Oh yes, Oh my you know, you remember the Coal street where he, like, couldn't get a hit.
You like, Oh my.
The Orioles literally had no one else.
So they just have fun playing him.
It was so sad because it was so long like he could not get a hit from from that year where he had, like, 50 something home runs to that.
What a drop off.
Honestly, what happened to Chris Davis? Okay, I just crazy.
I know ideas, actually.
Just solid player to, you know, step for like, you know, he was a great pleasure for a year.
He was, like, a star.
I mean, really, I mean, he was never saw that he was either great or just bad.
You know, I was like, his own teammates cheering form when you got a hit like that.
It's just Yeah, he was, like, waving in stuff. Oh, my goodness.
Yeah, that was like on SportsCenter.
Like, every single day, we have my clock.
We got like, there are 22 minutes.
We're I think we're on right on track right now for some reason.
The SportsCastr clock that I have, you know, like the timer.
It's counting two seconds a time.
Maybe isn't counting 18 04 18 06 18.
08 Oh, but it's counting.
I thought it was just a test, Chris.
Maybe it's just counting.
Two seconds every two seconds, but minds at like 38 minutes out 18.
It's like stream for that long.
Wow! Oh, yeah, they were way over time.
Right now is buying ice, you know, But we're actually at, like, 38 a half, so we'll get keep going through the NL Central.
And this is one of the big teams.
I mean, I'm not a fan of many of the on of the rise teams, like they really teams that are.
I think there's a lot of them are still your way, But the Minnesota Twins will win the division this year.
Miguel's to no great hitters, Josh Donaldson from they added from free agency, whose a little overrated. A little older.
But he's still pretty good, I would say, and I mean, they add death, which they definitely need their starting rotation depth with back ad.
Last year, which hill and catching my ADA? Two guys vote from the Dodgers that doctors are patient, there's not all the players.
That's I think that people are doubting the twins a little bit, but they really struggled with pitching.
I mean, they hadn't absolutely insane offense, struggled with pitching, but now they just had to solid guys that they can trust to maybe put in a game or to get some wins.
I think that they're going to wait. Really flirt.
Can we talk about the Dodgers rotation at its peak last year, like Kershaw was playing out of his mind? Reuse.
You're sort of struggled, Buehler.
And were you? Both struggled at the end of the year? A little more for middle of the season, Bueller was like, so good.
Like we use here a Bristol reuse here.
It was, like at least 50 points ahead of anyone else's or lower.
Then you've got my Ada, who was like 300 right.
He's a good picture, and Rich Hill was having a nut a season for like, that's what I like really good.
Yeah, I said her, like all five guys can win you games like consistently.
Like when Rich Hale is your four guy and rituals like kind of numbers, he waas Oh my goodness, that was insane.
And my eight it was going to.
It's not like they had a week.
Fifth spot? Yeah, that was insane.
Rotation Also, she shares her Strasbourg Corbyn on the max.
And then they had.
And then when within their young doctors were breaking out to like that Shares were Strasbourg Corbyn.
I just had Ross.
And then there was I'm trying to think who else we have.
Both and Freddie were playing well, but I'm trying to think who their fourth starter, Sanchez Sanchez was next to you.
Hadn't seen playoffs too.
Animal. Sanchez was his playoff.
He really broke out at the right time.
I mean, not the giants there, right? I don't think you know, that would be nice for that.
At that they do because ah, yeah, I think they signed someone in free agency, I think A za four start.
I'm not really sure who bombing Sure does draw for Corbyn like your set.
I mean, it was still just like even I think, uh, Joe Ross is also sitting out this year, so I think Austin Voth will probably take the fifth starter role, But both was not really.
Is all of that kind of having a competition? Sort of for the spot, I think.
Yeah, and then Freddy.
Freddy was a really nice is a really nice backup guy, too.
He was a bit inconsistent over the years, but last year he was good.
And he's a nice guy to keep in the minors in case you need him.
So anyway, that's the thanks. The Nationals.
While we're talking about the A L Central, you can have a little bit of extra time.
So what would you say? Well, what pitching staff? Would you rather have that really good Dodgers pitching staff after the really good Giants won? I mean, why don't you think those national okay, Max Cher's perverse shares are probably season Walker Buehler at their peak at their week.
You gotta compare surgery to re you.
Don't you or Kershaw? They were you, I'd say Rio, that's such a at peak.
I have to take Well.
Oh, no Nats at their peak.
Sure saying Joe Ross is performing insane and Sanchez is shutting out the asking price.
Okay, but no, I mean, not all the national starters peaked at the same time.
Are we just putting all of the players at their peak? Uh, sure.
Why not? We'll see that Oh, my broths was so good for a few games, and so was my A d.
Like, even there so deep that such a decision playoff? How lets you midseason pitching staff? Which one would you rather have so like mid season midseason? I miss midseason.
It's the Dodgers, cause Chirchir was like her and he wasn't doing that.
Well, it's the playoffs the next.
That's the difference in the playoffs.
Like Animal Sanchez was and re you in, like, factors.
There was your Max shows.
Everything is even Strasbourg.
Patrick Corbin was playing great, you know.
It was all clicking.
Yeah, it really was.
I mean, for they only had four starters in the playoffs, which most teams did.
But for is all you need room and the Dodgers staff was dropping off a little bit too by then.
So let's we spent a lot of time on the NASA, the Dodgers.
We will move on through the second team in the A L Central.
I think, Chris, we both have and use your right when Indians in the White Sox.
But like I said, I just feel like the White Sox don't have that were our house.
I'm looking for.
Put them out of the Indians.
I think that Thea What? That the White Sox have a really solid team, but they don't have Ah, the team to beat the Cleveland Indians just yet.
Yeah, the Indians air just like all around.
Okay, Francisco Lindores, not a star and just puts them well, not addition, because seems they're having Linda on the roster.
Put some just cat ahead of the White Sox for me.
So I think that's kind of what I think.
The White Sox may have more potential, though, Like Lucas, Giolito becomes an ace and their offense takes another step forward.
I think they could easily become second.
I definitely agree, and she really got was playing really, really well last So Number four. Number five.
It's hard to rank them because they're both so bad.
I mean, the Tigers were like the worst team in the league, so we put them at number five and the Royals or four.
But both of these teams Aaron huge rebuilding the Royals ever since the World Series.
Like where did all those guys go like it was like World Series done.
I mean, they were really like cheers and then garbage.
It's just crazy That doesn't make any sense.
You know, like, you know, I just really something.
It's like, Well, you think that I mean, relating it to sort of baseball to like I mean, the Nats obviously came back from 19 and 31 to win the World Series.
You've got I'm remembering the NHL is sort of a tangent.
The ST Louis Blues.
Do you realize they came from last place toe win? The Stanley Koplik.
Two great stories, I mean yeah, exactly.
Last place, though The Nats weren't last place.
They were like murder for last.
That doesn't sing cheese, but yeah, I mean, it's just crazy in sports, Especially when you come now from a corona virus pandemic here, just like Oh, man, I wish I could just have the sports from 2019 you know? Yeah, exactly.
I mean, do March madness again.
Oh, merch, man is, uh, fantasy football.
I hope football plays on time.
This is my fantasy football.
If fantasy football gets canceled like her football gets canceled and should be, I think, uh, if it gets cancelled, Chris, we're gonna have to dio if it gets connected, we're gonna do what we're missing.
Cast to heat on and then for every single week of football, and then you go through, go through all the matchups and goes up for the matchups in what would have happened? What we're missing.
Week 11 e even think about it.
You know, fans like grand a 123 won't be able to listen to.
We'll still be making podcasts, but they want people to listen to are in season fantasies.
So yeah, it's all of our fans will be so disappointed.
Okay, actually, and it's not even that sarcastic like with Christopher Harris reach meeting us.
We actually did get some more fans, so that's pretty cool.
I'm John up Christopher Harris for their each week.
He helped us out so much, we got tons of Do we have a bunch of new Twitter followers? Uh, and yes.
Oh, and I guess we probably get some podcast followers from this show too, I would say.
But yeah, I mean, overall, just fun doing the podcast.
And apparently people have fun listening.
So anything else you want talk about before we go to the n L West Don't think so.
I think I'm ready or not. And l s a list.
Oh, yeah, A low west week.
Did I write NL West on the Oh, I did write an hour west on the sheet.
Oh, men! Alright, Typo.
Well, Number one is the Astros and I put the Astros the number one.
I think they're definitely going to regress a little bit because of the whole cheating scandal.
But, like, I mean, their team is still loaded and not all of the players were participating in cheating.
The Athletics could take a little jump, but I just think they're not proven enough to really beat out the Astros just yet.
So I said the after when you actually brought I do not have the Astros.
That number one.
I have the Oakland Athletics at number one, I think pitching staff.
They have a lot of players that I like on offense and they're quietly going to be a top team in the league.
I think I think that they have a really loaded and really deep team and I just They've been on the rise for a few years now and I think that this is the year that they that step up.
And I think that I think a year or two from now on, you will want to beat the Astros teams.
They're not gonna want to lose to the Astros that I feel like things are gonna be different, just not not from like, they're not to have the ability to cheat or whatever, but it's just gonna be a feeling in that locker room.
I feel like I feel like teams were gonna be treating them differently.
I think that it's just gonna be overall different that the talent is gonna take him at number two.
But I just don't trust the situation enough.
So I have to put the afters at number two.
Okay, I think that's fair.
I just think that athletics, I mean, they're sort of unproven.
Matt Chapman. Matt Wilson stars.
Of course, on offense you got Hayes's Lazard, who's a young guy.
I mean, he could become an ace, but he's really unproven, and I think they might just be a year or two away.
I mean, it's possible Elizardo just pitches out of his mind.
Next year are this year, but I think like just in general.
There's team is not white there yet, like they were a year or two away.
They're very young team, but their stars or you're too away from really taking over carrying them.
And I think, but we both have the Angels at third.
Mike Trout and Anthony Rend own a stark or of hitters.
And Shohei Otani, the picture slash hitter who really it's insane because he's like a to 50 hitter lost like 300 e R A.
It's like, What the heck, How do you do that? His pitching skill with his batting school and just became like an insane batter because he could be, like, absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah, no, it's like, no d.
He's a decent batter, good pitcher.
But that's so good.
Like he doesn't even bat ninth in that offense.
I don't think it is just like you can.
He can actually hit better than some of the Angels starters and pitch better than a lot of the angles started because he couldn't play th or anything or he I mean, he couldn't be a hitting he could with any crime in Ultra.
He plays deviate from the the days when he doesn't like hell is hitting.
Oh, yeah, that's true.
No, but then he only gets to hit once every 50 no, wait.
Then he can Still what do you play like outfield or something? I think it's easier in the air because he doesn't have to play in the field of play in the field because the nine the ninth matter or not necessarily the ninth matter.
But the picture always hits in the NL, whereas I mean, this is that's changing this year.
But if no Otani can't pitch every day, though, is to pitch every five days, so you can't really hit that much.
I think it's better in the A l No, I mean he pitches every five days.
You d pictures like three week what the ale is.
You can always just playing with the D.
If you want to go that strategy, the same thing you would do in the Anna nl.
But if you feel like playing in picture, maybe then you could just play him and then he's gonna still have the opportunity toe put up points on the As far as I know, I don't just think of think of it this way.
Otani is a picture in the A l so he doesn't hit.
He's got 300 years, so he's like their second best picture may be your I don't know how good good he is in terms of their rankings.
Then you say he D h is three times a week when he's not pitching like that's like 1/2 the week he d h is.
And then the other half, they use somebody else.
But think of him.
He's taking up on Lee a pitching spot.
He's not thinking about hitting spot, so it's basically like he could sub in three times a week for their actual D H.
Except he's better than their actual th Okay, so I think for number four is the Rangers on their rotation.
Could be pretty deep if Cory Kluver core Kluver, There's some question marks around.
Yeah, I mean, there's some question marks around him returning toe form, though, but even so, Lance Land, Mike Minor and others will make give them really good depths.
And then the Seattle Mariners are just a number five because they're in total rebuild.
They really don't have anyone to the Ranger on the Mariners Rangers rebuild since 2001.
Which was the last time they made the playoffs.
Yeah, I mean, the mirror have been between rebuild and just mediocre for a while, but, I mean, the Mariners are clearly number five.
The Rangers don't have much more offensive firepower.
That's why they're behind the Angels for me.
Okay, well, my clock continues to count double time.
So now I have an hour and 45 minutes of time.
Apparently, I don't know.
I'm at 52 minutes of time.
So were almost done.
Anyone has any questions? Let's see who's watching.
Still watching? I think, um, anybody has any questions? You can them in the comments.
Um what? See here it's loading, loading, loading.
You've got a decent amount of people still on it, you know? So if you want to put comments, Oh, comment on SG sports talk cause we're not following the comment on that, Christie, because we should you win the stream through like at Krispy Stream.
Then it won't work.
What if you joined through Calvin's way? Won't see your So let me just see.
Let's just see what we're in 15th place on the leaderboard.
We don't want 1000 views this month, so I'm gonna check out your stream.
Chris, not to look at the comments.
I'm gonna see if anyone has commented.
There were, like, three other people.
There were, like, three people who joined your stream and not ours.
That's kind of tough.
It always happens, but I'm all right.
So anyway, if you have any questions, put him in the chat over the last seven minutes, Chris, I mean, maybe we could talk some NFL.
A lot of l b today in NFL's are for sure, so I know.
All right, so wait, let's see NFL.
So we got the fantasy football, Of course.
Um, are wide receiver at preview episode is coming out this Monday and we have a lot of debates to go through for wide receivers just because there's so many things agree with with each other about, like so many wide receivers, where we have differing opinions, most notably and various Layton, let's oh, and by the way, Christopher Harris that I was like, he has dairy slaying even lower than I do.
So he disagrees with Chris even more.
Oh, great broadcast. Thanks for the comment.
But, um but yeah.
So if anyone has any questions, if you want to comment, uh uh, we would be happy to answer.
But, you know, it's It's Christopher Harris, our guest on the podcast.
He had very sleeping so low and even lower than I did.
Chris, how do you feel? I want to hear unfiltered reaction.
I think that I I mean, it is somewhat generous Bonus when I develop more.
I mean, we aren't you.
I still think that it's gonna work out.
And I think if you were gonna be surprised, I mean, he also had Patrick Mahomes. We had a film.
Are Jackson which you agree disagree with, So, you know.
Okay, well, yeah, he has the thing about course.
For Harris, he is rankings.
He sometimes has, like, some pretty crazy takes, but like he's not stupid, he has reasons to back them up.
He backs it up really well.
He watches like tones of game.
He won't just tons of game film.
He will use his ****ytic not as much as game film.
And I think that's definitely a very respectable strategy.
And like I definitely he's like one of the best fantasy experts in the industry for sure.
Like Onley behind us, too.
Yeah, and maybe the fantasy footballers.
There's so many good experts in the industry, like I mean Fantasy Pro's podcast Mike Quaglia.
There is, like, super smart feel like he just gives up like that insanely smart vibe.
Uh, Christopher Harris is like, gives off that, like, smart body.
But the same time it's like he knows what it's like.
Not just like nerdy, smart, like he gives up off that he like, really, he knows football.
I'm not calling nerdy.
I'm just saying he kind of like it feels like he like what he does the ****ytics more.
I'm not saying nerdy, and I'm not saying nerdy in a bad way, but I'm just saying, Oh, I seen talk more about Astros.
All right, Chris, what you have to say about the very frustrated with the Astros.
I think it's a total bad thing to be cheating.
I mean, it totally kicks away the profession journalism of the game.
It's good classic Americans for you can't be cheating in baseball.
Come on, that's just wrong.
I don't want to say that. I hope the teams.
I hope that the you choose my opinion.
I hope that the pictures throw with the Astros and hit them.
But I hope that the Astros players are fine way, because this I'm just wishing to get it's.
So they learned their lesson.
You're wishing for them to get walk.
No, but Chris. Chris, Chris.
Okay, so here's what your new don't know that I never told you.
My grandmother is actually an Astros fan.
I think she's fine.
But I mean, like, you know, yes, they talk more about the players, not the cheating.
That was so funny, Chris.
Just like has this huge reaction and he and didn't even know.
I mean, the players in the boat Thanks the dollar 22.
Thank you for joining this broadcast.
You missed a big moment, but, um yeah, anyway, that the players that their team is loaded it's not like all of the players were cheating like, yes, they were cheating.
