to another episode of sports Time podcast, and today we will be redrafting the N B A draft in 2000 and 12 and we will go from the lottery pick.
So from 14 to 1, but in this case will go from 1 to 14 and some honorable mentions before I start and redrafting are Tyler Zeller, Jared Sullinger Miles come we Tillman, said Hranjski and Kyle O Quinn.
And let's get right into it with the number one overall pick.
We say the same with the first overall pick, and that will be Anthony Davis as he got drafted by the New Orleans Hornets.
And he will guess, and you'll still get drafted by the horns.
In my redraft, he's just a generational talents.
We've never seen anything like it before.
His athleticism, his defense is shooting his Coast Movies was such a good all around player, and I believe he can help with waiters to win a championship.
And it's this is the pretty obvious choice to go.
I number one again and then number two.
We have the Charlotte Bobcats originally taking Michael Kidd Gilchrist, which is a huge mistake.
But this time in my redraft they'll be taking Damian Lillard.
Damian Lillard has been the cornerstone of the entire Portland Trail Blazers team for the past eight years.
He's been single.
Hand will be carrying them to the playoffs.
Clutch sought after clutch.
He he's been there.
Obvious Vespa lighter.
He deserves all the credit in the world for being so loyal to that organization.
And like as in Davis, he's the clear cut for the number two overall pick and then with the number three overall pick.
This is where could get controversial.
You could go with Dream on greed or Bradley Beal, the original pick here. Waas.
I'm pretty sure it waas it was Bradley Beal.
But this time we're gonna go with Draymond Green.
Green was originally taken in the second round by the Golden State Warriors with 35th pick in the draft.
Green has proven everybody wrong coming out of Michigan State.
Nobody thought he was going to be good, and that's part of the reason why he went in the second round.
But I have him going with the third overall pick over Bradley Beal.
I mean, Bradley Beal has been putting empty stacks.
Good stats on an empty team like And what? Until he shows me that he can win and lead his team, Then I'll put him over.
But Draymond Green has been a vital part of those orders championships, and he's are arguably, Ah, Hall of Famer and one of the best defenders of all time.
And I have him going at number three instead of number 35.
And now the Cleveland Cavaliers select Bradley Beal, where they originally took Dion Witter's.
Witters had so much have going into the, uh, NBA season as people, as his nickname was Philly cheese because he was from Philadelphia.
And now I don't have them going at number four as he's completely disappointed.
But he's still not a horrible and a player.
But this time we have Bradley Beal.
Now, despite what I just said about Bradley Beal, I still love him as a player.
He's a good player, a great player.
He's an all Star.
He's one of the best scores in today's game.
Just appear bucket getter.
He's he's one of the Wizards best players, but I still have toe haven't go for and not three and hope you guys understand my decision.
I know that could be controversial.
But Bradley Beal he's great, but Draymond Green's better.
Like I said, he's when she debuts 64.
And yet, and at number five, we have Chris Middleton, who was originally taken in the second round with the by the Detroit Pistons with the 39th pick.
Kind of like a dream on Green Story, except for not winning championship.
But Middleton was taken in the second round.
Everybody was doubting him.
Thank you for Rocky Me baby for coming into the streams.
Thank you, Thank you, thank you.
And Chris Milton.
He was coming into the league with the Pistons, not the best player, but then, slowly, slowly, slowly uses.
But he's just turned into a really good player on a good seaman MBA.
He's found his role with the Milwaukee Bucks and is a huge part of the reason why the Bucks are 53 12 hours sitting at the number one seed and are given some of the best favors to win the 2020 n b A championship.
But Chris Middleton, great three and D player I still think he was a little bit over paid this offseason.
He's a good player, but I don't think he's worth that much. That much.
Money, especially if they want to make, retains some of their players like Johannes and some other guys.
They need toe and they need a save up.
They can't be pig Chris Middleton.
And at number six, we have Andre Drummond taken by the Portland Trailblazers in the Portland Trailblazers were originally originally took Damian Lillard, but, as you guys can see already know, already took Demon Lawyer with the second overall pick further Charlotte Bobcats.
And this time you have Andre Drummond.
Now Andre Drummond was good with Will Get three Pistons for a couple of years wasn't Ulster in the 2016 envious season, but after that, he's just been really stop heading.
And I just He's slowly for me, becoming one of the one of the more old rated players in today's game.
And actually, whenever he's on the floor of the calves were doing much worse.
He's not doing he's not playing well for the Cavs at all, and then we have now.
From here on, we don't have any all stars.
We had just have some solid role players who conserve as good players on a contending team as this is where Harrison Barnes comes in handy.
Harrison Barnes, seventh overall pick taken by the Warriors, where he originally got taken.
He's not moving.
He's not going down.
He's staying this scene.
One of championship back with the Warriors in 2015 he was in good three point shooter, and, you know, he was a solid defender.
But now, ever since he left the workers, he has been really good.
He's really overpaid with the Sacramento Kings right now, and he actually said, Does this is off topic, but it's about Harrison Barnes.
He said he's not shaving his beater until to Sacramento Kings get to a 500 record.
And I don't think that's happening anytime soon as the King's air eight games over 500 it looks like he's gonna have to keep his beard for another while.
And then we go on to the eighth pick Will Barton.
Now you could put Evan Fournier over him, but I have Will Barton Staying here has athleticism, is insane.
He was originally taken by the Toronto Raptors in the second round at the 40th overall pick.
Right now, he's playing for the Denver Nuggets.
He's a good player on that team, good role player, and he's a good player.
Alongside Nicole, Yo Good Schimmel, Murray, Palmo, Sap and all those other guys like Tory Craig and one Home and One home and Gomez those.
He's just a good complementary star or above average player on a good Denver Nuggets team.
And then we go to see a ***.
Sorry, The ninth pick where we have the Detroit Pistons taking Evan, 48 where they originally took Andre Drummond.
But Evan Fournier moves up 11 spots, as he was, as he was originally taken with the with the 20th overall pick.
But now he's getting taken with the knife.
Has been playing great basketball for the Magic.
He's one of the only bright spots on that team, aside from Jonathan Isaac in Nicole, abusive Rich and Aaron Gordon.
Aside from that, there's really no bright spot on that Orlando Magic team, as we've just been, as they've just been a mediocre team for the past two years now, and he's been putting up 20 points per game.
But even if he puts 20 points per game, that's on a bad team.
He needs toe put up better numbers until he shows me that he can put up better numbers on a good team than he could possibly move up from Will Barton and Harrison bars and possibly Andre Drummond.
And then we go into the 10th pick of the 2012 envied redraft where we have the Charlotte Hornets, who originally took Austin Rivers taking Jae Crowder.
Crowder's more of a grit and grind type of player, as he has been bouncing around the league for the past two years, now plays for the Utah Jazz Memphis Grizzlies and at the trade deadline, he was included in that trade for Andre Iguodala.
That's ended that sent him to the Miami Heat with $100 in exchange for Solomon Hill and Dion.
Waiters between winners ended up getting waves, and now we're actually gonna talk about the young writers as he comes up with the 11th overall pick where he originally got taken force that seven spots down.
That's the largest gap, this entire video, and he didn't really live up to the hype fourth overall pick by the Cavs.
They could have had so many so many better options, but instead he he's being taken by the Portland Trail Blazers, where they originally took Meyers Leonard here.
Dion Waiters has had some off the court issues, but in his time with Oklahoma and part of this time with Miami, except for less except for this season, he's been a solid player, and he's looking to try and his career around as this might be a spinal shock, as be at being on the N b A of being on a competitive N b A team with the Los Angeles Lakers.
This might be his final year with them, then thank you.
Ruin on hide for the following.
Glad you are enjoying the podcast.
Thank you. Thank you for the follow.
Appreciate it, and then we go into the 12th overall pick where we have Jeremy.
Lamb, who was originally taken by, was originally taken 12 will stay at 12 as he's taken by the Houston Rockets.
Jeremy Lamb has been playing good basketball this past season for the Indiana Pacers, but he unfortunately towards a CIA Prior to that he was point some good basketball.
Last season he was playing for the Charlotte Hornets, and he's just been a solid role player.
And he's been a big loss for the Indiana Pacers.
But he's just been a good all around player his whole entire career.
Mediocre player never really lived up to the hype of what people thought he was going to be, but he certainly did not become a scrubby basketball player like a screw up.
And then we go into the 13th overall pick where we have Austin Rivers being taken by the Phoenix Suns.
Rivers Waas playing for the Clippers people.
People don't even think he was nb ready, but he has all the crossover moves in his back.
He is currently playing for the Houston Rockets, and he's been playing for the Ah, New Orleans Hornets.
Who was you, who? He originally was taken, who originally was taken by at the 10th pick, but now he's moving down to the 13th overall pick.
But Rivers, the son of coach Doc Rivers, has been a solid player throughout his creator, but nothing really special.
And at 14 the last pick off the entire video, Maurice Harkless Harkless was playing well, take a mo Harkless.
His full name is Maurice Harkless. Put.
He was playing for the Los Angeles Clippers this season and then got traded to the New York Knicks, where he does not seem to be happy this season, and he's been a good player throughout his career.
He's been playing for the Portland Trail Blazers as well.
He's been playing for the Clippers in the half midway through the season, but he did get a end of getting treated like I said to the New York next floor marquee for Marcus.
