I've here on SportsCastr and this is the Premier League.
It's Southampton vs Manchester City to wrap up what's been a jam packed weekend in the Premier League.
Let's quickly get to the starting line.
Is first for the home team in South Hampton and will be McCarthy and goal at the back.
Bertrand Stevens, Bednarek and Walker Peters in the midfield.
It will be read Monroe, May Ward Prowse and Armstrong, and up to it will be the front to both Adams and the guy who's caught a lot of people's attention.
Danny Ings, who's trying to get the golden boot.
Meanwhile for Manchester City, Angola is Ederson at the back.
Zinchenko, Laporte, Garcia and Consuelo in them.
It feel if Silva Fernandina and the other Silva that is Daveed and Bernardo, both in the midfield.
And then it's the front three of Raheem Sterling, Gabrielle Jesus and Riyad Mahrez.
Well, it's a pretty stacked man city line up no matter what players Pep Guardiola decides to put in the starting on it because there's so much depth on this team.
They currently stand second place in the Premier League.
Southampton are officially safe from relegation.
They're about his mediocre as you confined a team to possibly be, but they have been poor at home and this will be a good challenge against Manchester City, Man said.
He pretty much just about walked in at second, although you never know what crazy things could happen.
But Man said he's still trying to build off of that momentum after a big for no win over the champions Liverpool just three days ago.
A quick turnaround for Liverpool just Friday and Saturday off now playing in this one on Sunday and Man City also have already won the FL Cup.
They also have a chance to win the F A Cup and they're still in the running to win the Champions League.
So even though the league is out of question now after Liverpool officially clinched the title due to Man City losing a Chelsea a week and 1/2 ago, men see still want to keep stay in good form and string together good results to carry their momentum into other competitions where they could still be in the running to win and have a good chance of winning in both the F A Cup and Champions League.
I really do think ST Mary Stadium is the location for tonight's encounter in charge as the referee.
Tonight is Andre Marriner a familiar face in the Premier League.
It's a seven PM local time kick off in England.
The sun doesn't settle about nine o'clock, so there'll be some sun, some shade for pretty much the entirety of the 90 minutes of this one.
Meanwhile, fancy already putting on the pressure here is, well, Consuelo Consulate.
He plays it across the back.
By the way, Southampton are coming off a win against Watford 3 to 1 last Sunday, Man City bounced back, as I mentioned against Liverpool with a four nil win on Thursday.
Uh, before that game, though against Liverpool obviously hit a blip in the road in that loss to Chelsea, but it was a great bounce back performance.
You can say all you want about the fact that Liverpool already won the title in that they weren't trying.
But it's still a statement performance from Manchester City and Fornell.
Quite quite, Thea, quite the feat in beating the champions by that big of a margin just wasn't a good night for Liverpool.
and Man City still showed Liverpool that heading into the next couple seasons down the road, they're gonna be right up there with them and they're definitely I, I would expect, are bound to close in on what is a 20 plus point gap between the two sides of this season, which is really shocks astonishing.
The more you think about it.
Thank you, Daniel and Mohamed for joining the broadcasts.
Hope you guys are having a wonderful Sunday.
And if you thought yesterday was a jam packed in the primarily because it waas, today is just about as good.
There were five game yet five games yesterday.
This is the last game of the day.
I will get to the other results around the rest of the league on the halftime report.
Make sure you stay tuned for that.
I'll go over all the action that took place earlier around England in the Premier League.
Then the wrap up the match day.
Tomorrow it will be taught them versus Everton in a good one and the fixtures keep on rolling and you love to see it as a fan.
Here is re on Morris in the midfield with David Silva.
Javid Silva, Probably his last season.
The captain for Man City, The veteran for Manchester City.
Silva find Jesus.
Now here's Raheem Sterling.
Sterling takes it to the byline.
Cuts back in, but the flag is up for offsides.
First off sides of the game Raheem Sterling clearly wasn't disagreement.
I like to see the replay of that one.
It does look like the A R made the right call.
Four minutes in.
It's Southampton Man City here on SportsCastr.
By the way, for those of you looking for what channel this game is on its on NBC.
You wanna watch the game and listen to my commentary of it? I would greatly appreciate it.
Or if or if you're on the road or something.
I appreciate you guys tuning in tow.
Listen to the commentary of this one.
Oh, what a move by Gabrielle Jesus! Making a fool of James Ward Prowse! Southampton eventually win it! But they just blasted right back into the leg of Alexander Zinchenko.
Zinchenko does get the start tonight for Man city.
Definitely someone to keep an eye out.
Uh, I out for I definitely think Zintchenko, the left back has plenty of talent.
Still, at a young age, so much development could be made by the youngster, and we'll see what type of ah defender he turns into down the road.
Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez this time around is offside. Southampton.
So far, so good playing that high line, it's paying off thus far.
The free kick coming up for the Saints.
Bednarek back to the goalkeeper, Alex McCarthy.
McCarthy at an absolute blunder against ****nal about a week ago.
We're gifted them a goal.
You will not be able to afford a mistake like that against a team like Man City.
That's a definite fact.
Now here is Danny Ings.
Danny ings connects through the cross is a good one, but not ableto find is Find the ball, quite frankly, was Nathan Redmond in the whole wide open net, making the run to the back post, but couldn't get his footing right? And it's a miss chance for Southampton.
My oh, my man City absolutely exposed right there.
It really should be one.
Nothing to the home side, but Nathan Redman, as I said, just couldn't quite figure out where the ball was.
It was somewhere under his legs, but he couldn't quite get his footing right and get the shot off in time.
By the way, Danny ings what a season he's having, Uh, just a few goals back of Jamie Vardy, who's the leading scorer in the Premier League? Maybe.
I mean, if Dennings keeps up what he's doing, maybe he could catch Jamie Vardy.
Who knows? Sparty did have two goals yesterday against Crystal Palace.
He now has 100 all time. Primarily goals.
Just a few years ago, he was playing with Fleetwood Town in the fourth tier of English soccer.
So it would sound, actually.
Now have a chance toe.
Get up to the second division there in this Ah, the league one, which is the third division, the League one playoffs against the Wickham Wanderers.
But I believe they lost the first leg by a score of 4 to 1.
If I'm not mistaken, so it will be tough to come back.
But still, uh, that was Jamie Vardy is club, and now he's risen up the ranks quite rapidly and for him to do what he's been able to achieve after being someone who nobody quite frankly, knew about him a few years ago was incredible.
Redman will go for goal, and that is blocked by I think that was Gabrielle J.
He had one man on the wall and that man was Jesus and he got up there.
I think he blocked it with his back.
It will be the first corner kick of the evening.
James Ward Prowse, another talented player on the South Hampton team, will take the corner kick, so we'll be right footed delivery and outswinger here.
South Hampton with four in the box, in some more making a run in.
That's towards the near post, and it's out of play once again for yet another corner kick.
So we'll do it all over again here and a reminder for all of you tuning in.
I know you guys have the countdown walked into your brains by now, but three days left until the MLS returns, I cannot wait for it.
I'll be calling. Plenty of ****ysts.
Is back tournament games, especially Revolution games.
That's a definite This is towards the back post.
It was popped up by Garcia Garcia, who suffered that horrific injury in the collision with Ederson against ****nal.
He returned on Thursday against Liverpool, so good to see that that injury maybe wasn't as bad as many had expected.
At first, it was definitely pretty serious at the moment, but it's good to see him back on the pitch and we're covering quickly.
Thank you, Paul, for joining the broadcast.
I appreciate it.
Paul were nine minutes into this one between Southampton and Manchester City, throwing for the Saints on the near side line.
Uh, Ryan Bertrand Nathan? No, Rather.
Yes, that's correct.
It was Ryan Bertrand to take the throwing.
It will go into Yon Bednarek, Jack Stevens all the way to McCarthy, Southampton in there.
Jerseys in their kits that were used to seeing them in their home. Kids.
Red and white stripes.
Man City in their blue uniforms with white shorts and blue socks.
Men City going left to right in the first half.
South Hampton, right to left, 10 minutes in no score from ST Mary's Stadium on the south coast of England.
Anderson, well outside of his box, decides to go out wide to Zintchenko.
It's up to sterling.
He's act from behind down in a bit of pain as well.
He was taken out by Walker.
See the replay of this long? It didn't look like there was much in the foul from Kyle Walker. Peters.
Maybe just an awkward landing right there from for Sterling, perhaps.
And while they were showing the replay of it, I guess the free kick was put on put on goal.
But in the end, why did the post for a goal kick? Here is Ederson.
Anderson has been so good in gold for man city that Brazilian is really impressed for Manchester City.
Of course, when for him it was Claudio Bravo who is the starter, and that just didn't go well.
For whatever reason, Bravo's career really has gone downhill very quickly.
He's still he's still on men cities, the backup for, um, Manchester City.
He was so good at Barcelona, made the big move to Man City and just never worked out there.
Redman's through ball just a little too much on it, and now here come in city the other way.
Bernardo Silva tried to get by Ryan Bertrand there, but wasn't quite able to do so.
Thank you for the popcorn, Paul much appreciated man.
Glad you're enjoying the broadcast now all the way back with Alex McCarthy.
Oriole remain, Remain you.
He's been on South Hampton for a while.
No, Southampton seemed to have Ah, a different roster every year.
Basically Ah, the definite not the definition of a selling club.
But did you sell a lot of their Ah good young players? There's so many Liverpool players currently that were at Southampton just to name two of them Saudi, Omani and Virtual Van ****.
That's where they became known.
Stolen away by Sterling for Andino, back for Sterling.
Sterling switches Fields looking for Riyad Mahrez and Mara is now controls back to John Consuelo Eric Garcia across the back for a miracle. A port.
Now it's Zintchenko.
Earlier in the season, Southampton suffered the their worst Lawson history in their history.
And, ah, probably the largest I forget.
If it was the largest.
Ah, if it was the most lopsided defeat in the history of the Premier League, it was definitely up there.
They lost the Leicester City earlier in the season, but then, if I'm not mistaken in the reverse fixture Southampton actually one or it was a draw or something like it.
No, just unbelievable.
You don't see that in a league so good.
Like the Premier League at all.
Really? That wasn't a good one from Danny ings, but you can see what Southampton are trying to do.
They're trying toe expose the man city defense by playing these through balls in down the middle.
They just haven't been quite working out yet.
We'll see if that changes here.
Just 15 minutes in.
Thank you everyone Glad to have you tuning in here on SportsCastr Nil Nil The score between Southampton and Manchester City.
It's the Saints and the citizens Javid Silva in the midfield.
Now it's back with Zinchenko.
But yeah, it's been a relatively solid year for Southampton.
Pretty much dead smack in the middle of the table.
They're safe from relegation.
It would really be tougher.
It's it's mathematically possible, but it would be extremely tough for them.
Teoh, get a Europeans place.
I mean, is it possible? Yeah, but the percentages of that happening are very low.
They they'd have to win the rest of their games and have quite a bit of help other in other places as well with the teams in front of them.
But Southampton will just be content with the season and move on the next year.
It's definitely Ah more easy to finish out your season, the last few games when you're not, when you don't have the threat of possibly getting relegated looming above you.
Relegation battles so close in the Premier League, by the way, so far.
60 to 40% in favor of Man City.
But the shots to nothing.
Neither team has put a shot on goal yet.
As a matter of fact.
Well, it's a bad give way at the back.
He's going for the chip.
It's in the back of the net.
It's Chay Adams with the goal.
Eso goal Southampton strike first It's a bad give away from Manchester City and wanna chip? It was from Adam's Anderson way off his line and that's a cheeky finish right there to put the Saints in the lead.
60 minutes ended.
South Hampton one Manchester City.
Nell! Oh my, what a goal! Right there from Chay Adams, the striker for Southampton.
Thank you, Bill, for joining the broadcast.
You've come in just in time because that is a terrific strike.
Zintchenko just going through the motions in the midfield and all of a sudden in came, it looks like that was Stuart Armstrong.
Yes, it wasn came Armstrong with the steal into the feet of Adams.
Adams didn't even need a touch to set himself up.
He had his eyes for gold the whole time and didn't just get it over Anderson, but also curled it around him and into the off the bounce into the roof of the net.
It went, and that is a world class finish right there from Chay Adams and the reaction from the head coach of Southampton, Ralph Hasson.
Huddle says it all in South Hampton, trying to pull off an upset here.
Obviously, we're still very early on in this one, but Adams has made things interesting in the early stages.
It's actually his very first goal of the Premier League season.
It's a goal to remember for him, that's for sure.
Just 1/4 shot on target in his whole Premier League career, Chay Adams.
How about that? Well, we've got a game, folks.
Let's see if Man City wake up here after that goal after that.
Gola after that ball one and I should say Man City, multiple players or arguing with each other.
It was just a bad mistake by Zintchenko.
I was giving him some praise at the top of the broadcast.
Maybe I should take those words back.
We'll see if Man City can bounce back here because we've seen so many times, not just in this season but in seasons past, especially in their title winning seasons, where they would go down occasionally.
But they would ah, make it look seamless in coming back in those games.
To get the three points, we'll see if that's the case.
Tonight is a collision in the midfield play on, says Andre Marriner.
Fernand Genio now over to Riyadh.
Morris, Mars back to Fernandina.
No, he now goes out wide for Zintchenko.
Raheem Sterling one V one with Walker Peters and it's solid defending from the Saints, cleared back in the Manchester City's half of the field here, now is ever Garcia back.
It goes for Ederson at her.
Ederson finds low support.
Here is David Silva Silva into the midfield Fernandina.
We know he can shoot from there, he decides to go wide.
Riyad Mahrez in the box.
Mahrez leaves it and drunken Celo had a decent service, but Southampton had too many players back.
It's poked away, but Man City's still on the attack.
And that cross from David Silva is off of a Southampton defender and cannot be kept in play.
It's a corner kick the 1st 1 of the game for the away side.
20 minutes in its South Hampton, one Manchester City nil live right here on SportsCastr.
All right, let's see if what man said he could make of this set piece.
It's an outswinger from Silva headed back to Alexander Zintchenko.
Raheem Sterling back for drunken Celal Kinsella plays in the middle with Zintchenko, so the left hand side they go with Javan filled up Fernandina.
Now here is Riyad Mahrez Southampton not making it easy for Man City to move forward into the attacking Third.
Here is Morris Maheras.
Into the middle.
Here is Bernardo Silva, trying to split the defense.
He goes down but too easily and no foul called.
We play on South Hampton in possession, and that's blasted straight out of bounds for a throwing.
And wait a minute he's gonna hold the throwing and maybe we'll see our good friend Via are for the first time tonight.
No, he went down too easily.
Bernardo Silva? Yeah, he was certain he was looking for it, that's for sure.
And yep, it just halted for five seconds there.
But we play on no need for VR toe.
Look at that one for an extended period of time.
Ederson over to consult Loken.
Celo keeps it in Play Portuguese to Portuguese console.
Oh to Bernardo Silva Daveed Silva.
He finds Bernardo Silva now man city, moving the ball downfield.
It's a good ball sent over the top.
Silva connects here with John Kinsella.
It's a good cut back by the Portuguese to the far post.
Too much power on the cross.
Gabrielle Jesus couldn't keep it low and it results in the gold kick for Southampton.
What a bit of skill, though from drunken Celo I mean, it was a It was perfect placement on the cross, but too much power.
In the end, it was a good cut back on.
It was right foot that might have taken a deflection.
As a matter of fact, it might have went off the leg of Ryan Bertrand.
Let's see the replay here.
It's too hard to tell their, but that's that might have. Here we go.
Here's a better look at it.
But just the power of the ball sent across by Consuelo made it hard to deal with or the Brazilian Gabrielle basis.
And that takes us into our first half hydration break midway point of the first half its Southampton one, Manchester City nil.
If you're a primarily fan, this has been one heck of a weekend.
It's been an absolute blast, tuning into primarily games and calling some of them for you guys as well.
And Jay Adams Brilliant strike.
That's the difference so far between these two sides.
Armstrong stealing in the midfield from Zinchenko Ederson way off his line.
Adams the whole time knew what he was doing and even the in the slow motion replay.
That one just makes it all the more sweet.
And get that the Southampton fans at home on the virtual watch party.
They sure are loving it and a surprising scoreline here.
1/4 through this one and you afterwards, Raheem Sterling expressing his frustration with all Exanta Alexander Zintchenko.
He was basically telling him, You can't hold.
You can't hold onto the ball in the middle of the field like that.
You have so many options, you can play it back.
You can play it out wide.
It was just pour in the end from Zinchenko and Southampton made him pay.
We're back from the hydration break gold kick for Southampton and here they do come Armstrong looking for Bertrand.
But Maheras Rather Consuelo. My apologies.
Read it all the way.
Garcia toe Ederson Anderson on the one touch Pasko's to the TA sideline with Bernardo Silva.
Fernandina is first touch wasn't the best one, a man city's still control that was nearly intercepted by Ward Press, but not quite.
Now bring numbers upfield, then Shango into the feet of David Silva.
He was looking for Jesus, who couldn't control Well, as I mentioned, tomorrow will mark the end of this match day, but don't worry at all you guys.
The Premier League action continues with mid week fixtures Tuesday through Thursday.
Really, uh, with the congestion of fixtures, Friday's the only off day in the Premier League.
Or at least thea it spend that waste for the last few weeks, and it will be that way for the next few weeks.
As the season does wind down.
The final game of the season will be three weeks from today on July 26th when all the games will take place simultaneously at three PM local time.
Eastern and who knows what the relegation and Champions League and Europa League implications will be? Ah, when it comes down to that last game of the season, what I do know is that Chelsea play Wolves and Man United play Leicester on the last day of the season.
And couldn't that make for some drama on the last day of the season, when it comes to who gets into the Champions League and who misses out and then also down at the bottom of the table that could easily come down to the last game of the season? It's always fun championship Sunday, although it won't be.
This is a good run from Raheem.
Sterling is a good ball across, but coming to the rescue for South Hampton was, in fact, Danny ings Danny ings all the way back, doing his defense of duties and if he hadn't been there, it probably would have been.
It's happened at the back post for Manchester City, but as I was going to say, they call it Championship Sunday, But we already know the champion is even now.
Ah, and so it won't be the title that's decide in the last day of the season.
But as I just mentioned, it will be a whole lot of other fact things to look out for on that last day of the season other than the title.
And yeah, that's nicely done by ings Just to clear that away because it was a good ball from Raheem Sterling.
It really Waas was the ball over the top.
Is it on side? No, it's not.
Danny ings went for goal anyways.
Try to chip that one over the bar.
The a r Spotting the offsides.
Jenny anxious a step ahead of the last defender right there.
But Southampton fans have to be pleased with what they've seen here in the 1st 28 minutes.
Most of the field now is in the shade, but not far.
Sidelines still is quite a bit sunny.
Raheem Sterling over the Riyad Mahrez, the former Leicester man pumps the brakes.
Practice Bernardo Silva.
Now it's stabbing Silva for Nandhini.
Oh, looking out wide for Silva, but not quite able to connect A reminder.
After this, it's NASCAR from Indianapolis that's today four Eastern time.
For all of you tuning in.
Who are NASCAR fans? NBC with a jam packed day of sports, hasn't been the case for many sports networks.
Ah, as of as of late in these last few months, but it's a good sign.
It means sports were coming back.
Oh, beautiful ball I wide Giusto, Starling Sterling with a strike in absolute Ken.
But right at McCarthy, you makes the Save Man City, though still not done, Maheras the give and go.
But Silva's passback wasn't on frame for, and Daniel from range takes a deflection off the post.
Second chance. The other.
Once again, it's McCarthy with the denial Ryan Sterling with 1/3 chance in that time, it's well wide.
Alex McCarthy coming up big between the pipes for Southampton, Man said he had three or four opportunities and just what the spin of 15 seconds and south, and that was a poor poor clearance right there from, Ah, Kyle Walker! Peters! Fernand Jean, You hit the post.
Then the header from Silva was say then Raheem Sterling was trying to curl that went into the far post.
And finally that one missed.
Oh, so close to finding the back of the net at the near post.
But at the half hour mark, it remains a one nil scoreline in favor of Southampton.
Here is Ederson, Ederson to Garcia, the possessions 76 to 24% Man City.
And now they do have the advantage in shots 53 also in shots on goal, 2 to 1 in that category.
And those stats right there just tell you that men city are starting to find their game.
They were off to a little bit of a sluggish start, but really just ah, mistaking the midfield is what led to that Southampton goal.
Other than that, it hasn't been poor by any means from Man City because the chances have come in these last few minutes and they will come.
You have to think if they keep this up in the, uh in the final third of this first half before heading into the dressing room that played behind Sterling and it's Romania who comes up with the steal.
This one is with Jack Stevens.
Zinchenko breaks it up in the middle.
What of both played through, But in the end McCarthy.
Reddit Sterling was making the run then Shingo wasn't even intending.
Teoh, find a guy there, just kind of went off his foot, went off his boot and went right into the pathway of I think it was Maheras who was looking for Sterling there and could have led to a chance for Man City.
But it wasn't meant to be.
Here Now is Bednarek Bednarek to McCarthy.
McCarthy gives it away.
Fernand Genio heads it.
Tamara's his first touch, though.
Let them down, Consumo under pressure.
Bertrand comes up with it.
You're comes! Southampton! Bertrand goes himself, goes for goal himself, I should say, but its way over the bar In the end, Consuelo really should done better with this ball.
I mean, you let Bertrand take it away quite quite easily.
Bertrand had options.
Not many, but you did have some other options rather than going for gold there.
Thank you, Vaughn, for joining the broadcast.
What's going on? Vaughn.
If you're having a good Sunday, it's South Hampton leading man City won? No.
We'll see how much longer that result holds up.
Because I just have a feeling that there's gonna be more goals to come.
I'm not saying for which side.
Maybe both remain You? Who in Birch.
Redman? Rather was in the area con several.
Gotta touch to it, though.
A crucial touch there for Man City.
And it's a throwing now.
Well, Fulham make it to the Premier League next year.
Yeah, I, um I actually, when I went on Sam Federman za show the power our the other week.
Ah, we talked about you know who's gonna get promoted.
And I said pulling would win the playoffs.
What are they in fourth place right now in in the standings in the championship? I don't know Brentford.
They're a great story.
Don't get me wrong.
But you know, I feel like I know.
I don't know how many of those Brentford players are playing the primarily I'm assuming maybe even none of them definitely a few.
A lot of that Fulham team, though they have had experience in the primarily I just feel like experience will pay off in the playoffs.
Eso Yeah, I'd say yes for Fulham, but those playoffs are so unpredictable.
Really? So between the three.
The third place through sixth place team in the championship And ah, so I don't know, I don't know, but I I'd say yes right now for ah for full on making it to the primarily It won't be easy.
I think the top two will be leads and, uh, in West from definitely leads, I think leads air gonna win the league.
They've had an impressive season, but yeah, there's still there's still much much to play for in for those three through six spots and order to see who gets into the playoffs.
And then you never know what's gonna happen in the playoffs, but should be interesting how it all pans out.
10 minutes to go until stoppage time here in the opening half.
Glad to have you all along here on SportsCastr.
This is the Premier League and it's Southampton vs Manchester City.
One nil, the Saints in the lead.
Of course, Man City.
They've got to focus on the pitch.
But you know, you have to think that the ah, the ruling on whether or not they will be there have been from the Champions League for the next two seasons will be upheld or not.
Not Decision from what I've heard will be made on July 13th.
So in eight days time, not not Monday, uh, tomorrow.
But the following Monday it was a good through ball to Raheem Sterling Sterling trying to get it back to Jesus.
It's broken up, though, and now it's Redman with it one.
Right back, though Consuelo fakes the shot, Consuelo still has it allied from our as Maheras.
Closing any goes for the back post, but McCarthy gets down to make the kicks stop now it's Bernardo Silva in tomorrow's.
Once again, Maheras wants a goal of his own, but that's blocked in front in Man said he still can't find the book back of the net, by the way, a reminder that next weekend it will be a good one.
Tottenham vs ****nal.
That's next Sunday at 11:30 a.
m. Eastern time.
What a great game that should be in the Premier League a week from today course the London Darby that the possession, now 72 to 28% Man City.
They lead and shot 65 shots on goal Now even had to all.
But here come the citizens yet again.
It's Bernardo Silva onto his left foot, this one sent towards the penalty spot.
It's a collision of the heads there, so play is immediately stopped by Andre Marriner, and the athletic trainers immediately called on to the pitch to attend to the players involved in the collision.
It looks like it's David Silva and I believe Kyle Walker.
If I'm not mistaken here, Yep, those are the two involved in the had to head collision? Nothing intentional, obviously, but a scary sight for sure.
Yeah, Fulham does seem to make it to the primary league.
Yeah, every other year. Yeah, it's funny.
They they go up and then they go back down.
They go up and then they go back down.
I know it's true, Von Yeah, so going back to that Maheras chance a little while ago.
It's It's a good safe from McCarthy.
It is near post covered, but also knew that Mahrez would probably go for that back posts and McCarthy able to get down for the kick save it's nicely done by the Southampton goalkeeper to keep Man City off the board.
Of course, you know a lot A lot about the future is uncertain for Man City, This will be David Silva's last season.
Ah, Kevin de Broin has publicly said You know if if the ban is upheld and there are a lot of playing Champions League, he would definitely consider leaving that he had kept Guardiola.
The really big factor in this as well is he enters the last season of his contract next year.
And I'm sure you know whether or not whether or not he'll extend will largely depend on what that ruling is next Monday on whether or not they'll be playing Champions League Soccer the next two seasons or not.
Because let's be honest, the haunted players go to a big club like Man City, obviously to win the Premier League, but also to win the Champions League.
That's really the big goal and so it will be.
It'll be interesting to see because I think if the band's upheld, Pep Guardiola could be on his way out because he's not gonna want a coach without being ableto coach in the Champions League for two straight seasons, no matter how big of a club he's at.
Like Manchester City.
Here's Nathan Redman.
Redman goes over to Stuart Armstrong, sent back into the middle with Romania.
My thoughts on the Huddersfield Yeah, Huddersfield Town.
Aren't they near the bottom of the table in the in the championship? Yeah, that's crazy.
Yeah, they were just in the primer league not too long ago.
I don't know, man, what else to say? And that's an epic collapse from them.
Hopefully they'll stay in the second division, but I think they are near the relegation zone.
When I looked at the table the other day, I think they were Ah, they were definitely near the bottom.
I remember Leon says Andre Marriner.
Here is Raheem Sterling.
Now it's Zintchenko, Back for job and Silva Gabriel Jesus to re on Morris Maheras.
A wide here is Bernardo and it clear by Ward Prowse, but only as far as Eric Garcia.
41st minute live here on SportsCastr Man City.
They've generated plenty of chances, but Sand been able to quite get it by Alex McCarthy, yet have to think that goal is coming soon, though.
Halftime is nearing Juni ing's to Jack Stevens.
You're a foul committed by drunken sailor taking down James Ward press for the free kick.
I'm gonna see Ben for Manchester City.
He is an option on the bench.
Kevin de Broin is actually warming up right now on the Manchester City sideline.
Maybe we'll see Ah, one or multiple changes at the half from Pep Guardiola.
We'll have to wait and see Ryan Bertrand to take the throw in four Southampton.
It's cleared away by Eric Garcia.
Two minutes left until stoppage time.
It's a good one at ST Mary Stadium.
It was a mistake from Zinchenko in a beautiful finish by Chay Adams that's put Southampton in the lead.
The throwing here will be taken by Ryan Bertrand Reminder to stay tuned for the primary halftime show.
That's coming your way.
Next is a good ball in.
Dennings connected, but he was stretching out for it, and in the end, the strike one well over the crossbar.
But what a ball! This was from Kyle Walker. Peters.
Brilliant ball innings didn't appear to be on.
Sides had to stretch out the very end and couldn't really put any control whatsoever on the strike.
Which team will do well when they get promoted from the championship to the primary league? Um, I feel like Leeds could dio.
I feel like Leeds United could do well.
I mean, lease used to be one of the best teams in England.
Back of the day.
I know we're talking about a long time ago, but I don't know.
I just feel like leads have been really good and in the second division, and maybe they could.
They could do pretty good in the primer league.
You know, I'm not saying they'll do as good as Sheffield United have done.
Ah, this season.
But maybe mid table.
Um, yeah, If I had to pick, I'd say, Probably leads.
Yellow card, meanwhile, has been given to Romeo.
You gets a booking and we're in the stoppage time.
Let's see how much will be added on here.
There will be three minutes of stoppage time here, three minutes tacked on to the 1st 45 Willman City.
Get there for a school before then, Garcia to join Consuelo.
For now, though, into the midfield, it's now Garcia, who goes wide straight up the middle at the edge of the penalty box sent out to Daven Silva.
Now it's Riyad Mahrez, South Hampton compact defensively, shifting as a unit and making it difficult for Man City to get through now.
Alexander Zintchenko for an in genial wide with con se lo down the line.
Silva Bernardo, that is, with the cross handed down by Jesus looking for silver right there.
But it's sent away by Southampton.
Give credit to the Saints.
Defensively, they've done really well.
They've got that goal as long as they can keep men city off the board, which won't be easy for another 45 minutes.
But if they're able to do, it will be three points for the Saints and one of three points.
That would be if they were able to pull that off.
Meanwhile, offsides has been called against Manchester City, and so it is Alex McCarthy, the goalkeeper who takes the free kick.
Now it's controlled by Walker Peters.
Sterling nearly came away with it.
Romeo now blast this one towards Ederson.
Anderson will control this feat outside the 18 yard box.
Andre Marriner looks at his watch and That's it.
The three minutes of stoppage time up its halftime between Southampton and Manchester City from the south coast of England at ST Mary's Stadium in a surprise result, are a surprise scoreline.
I should say right now at the midway point in Southampton one, Manchester City Nil with the victory if the first Southampton, if this result were to hold they knew up to 13 place on 43 points, Man City would remain in the second.
This no matter what the result turns out to be.
Which commissioner going on and meet.
One day I'll know Von probably Don Garber, the MLS commissioner.
I like what he's done with the lead.
If I had to pick one, it would probably be him.
I'll be back for the primarily halftime report.
You won't want to miss it.
I'll get you caught up on all the action earlier in the day in the Premier League.
But in this one at the midway point at Southampton leading Manchester City, still plenty more to go but may be a shock result to wrap up.
The weekend is in store for us. We'll see.
I'm back in a moment.
Welcome back in everybody.
This is a primarily halftime show and Southampton one man sitting nil at the midway point of this one.
South Hampton taking the lead over Man City, thanks to 1/16 minute goal from Chay Adams.
And what a wonder goal it was from 45 yards out.
Let me tell you all about as we go over the first half.
Highlights. Let's get right to the goal.
Ederson way out of his box.
But it wasn't really always following the Anna Baggio advising shingle in the midfield, poked away by Armstrong.
And it was Shea Adams who had an eye for goal the entire time, didn't even need to take a touch to set himself up.
He went for goal on the one time effort, and I only did it get over Ederson, but curled up around him as well.
Just an absolutely fantastic strike right there from Alexander.
Zinchenko and Anderson tried to get back, but it was too late after that.
Just an unbelievable finish and frustration brewing over afterwards from Man City.
Raheem Sterling, clearly unhappy with Zhensheng, goes mistake.
Then, though, in the 29th minute, Man City started to get going.
Raheem Sterling's left footed blasts right at McCarthy in the end.
But then, on the follow up, another chance for the citizens, a bad giveaway and then Fernandina off the post.
It looked like it took a deflection on the way.
Then another crossing Denbigh Bernardo and David Silva center was saved.
Raheem sterling at another Schriock goal, trying to curl that one into the far post.
But finally that one went wide.
It was four chances in that one sequence for Man City, but they have been able to find the back of the net despite out shooting Southampton 8 to 6 in this one 100 fill towns.
Okay, Von Yeah, I mean, wow, that's crazy! The shots on goal in this 13 to 2 Manchester City.
And that wasn't the only time that give away by Zinchenko that I've really I thought that men's multiple players immensity have been a little too casual in their play.
There's been other occasions and say leading possessions 70 30%.
They also 395 passes compared to Southampton with just 1 71 But it simply needs to be better from Manchester City.
I mean, yes, they looked better late on in that first half and you'd have to think that if they keep that up they will find the back of the net sooner rather than later.
But it's still been underwhelming and just too casual.
As I say, we'll see if they can turn things around the second half.
But before then as the halftime report continues, I will get you caught up on everything that happened today around the Premier League.
All the highlights I will discuss next, a tune that's coming your way.
All right, welcome back.
Let me get you caught up on all the action earlier in the day.
Let's get to the game that finished before this one.
It was Liverpool taking on Aston Villa.
It took a while for Liverpool to finally break the nil nil deadlock.
But Saudi Amani got what turned out to be the game winner.
Liverpool 12 nil, then Newcastle West Ham that took place before the Liverpool Villa game.
West Ham were up to the one but Newcastle with a quick response was Jonjo Shelvey with a left footed finish.
David Moyes, frustrated with the poor defending on West Ham's part boat team settle for a point to to the final in that one and then the first game of the day, the early game between Burnley and Sheffield.
It was one nail Burnley, but Sheffield would keep on fighting and it was actually a great strike.
Beautiful strike, in fact from Eagan A one time finished to the far post 11 was the final of that.
That would also be a drop between two teams looking to push for a Europa League spot.
That's what happened earlier in the day.
Let's look toe what's ahead tomorrow at 3 p.
Eastern sign will be Tottenham vs Everton than Tuesday, A one palace vs Chelsea at 3 15 ****nal vs Leicester than on Wednesday.
It's Man City vs Newcastle and at 3 15 it's Brighton versus Liverpool.
So many games to look forward to in the Premier League just in the next few days as the games continue flying at us left and right.
There's been plenty of great action around England and in this one between South and in the man city, maybe an upset to wrap up the weekend second half nearing, I'll be back with more on the halftime report.
Keeper. Right here.
Welcome back, everyone.
For those of your NASCAR fans, well, that's today at four Eastern time from Indianapolis at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
It's NASCAR Cup, Siri's racing after this one between Man City and Southampton.
But we still got plenty more action left in this one between Southampton Man City won Dale.
It's the Southam.
It's the Southampton team in the lead over Manchester City.
Can they pull off the upset? It won't be easy, that's for sure.
There's still a lot of work to be done for Southampton.
The same the same case with him and city as well, if they want to come back in this one, the second half.
Next, Stay tuned for that. It's on the way.
All right, everyone, it's time for the second half.
Southampton one Man City Neil.
The scores Chay Adams in the 16th minute.
His goal as proved to be the deciding factor between these two teams thus far, but still a whole another half of soccer to be played.
Southampton, now going left to right, Man City writes a left Southampton kicked things off and the final 45 upon us, a reminder of Who's out there? It's for South. Anton's.
McCarthy, Bertrand Stevens, Bednarek Walker, Peters, Redmond, Romania.
Ward Proust's along with Armstrong, Adams and inks.
That's South Hamptons, starting 11 and the same starting 11 still out there, and the same goes for Man City they have on the pitch.
Ederson, Zinchenko, Laporte, Garcia, Consuelo, David Silva, Fernandina No, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling got really Jesus and Riyad Mahrez.
All right, Let's see if Man City can come back in the second half.
It's Alexander Zinchenko with it.
Zinchenko back for jabbing Silva.
Now it's Raheem Sterling.
What an absolute wonder.
Goal, though from Chez Adams in the first half can't get over how good of a strike it truly Waas.
Here is for an Andino Fernandina all the way out wide.
It's Riyad Mahrez with it.
Maheras back for Eric Garcia, and it's now Zinchenko Man City.
Not in any rush.
You're in the early stages of the second half, trying to find the right moment to break through the back line of South Hampton, Southampton have shown that it's gonna be It's not gonna be a cakewalk and doing so.
It's gonna be a difficult task, but a team like Man City definitely will find ways to create chances.
You have to think once again for all be tuning in a reminder.
We're three days away from the return of MLS.
I'll be on the call for the opener between Orlando City and Inter Miami Wednesday night.
Then I'll be on the call for my team, the New England Revolution, taking on the Montreal impact on Thursday.
I mean, commentating.
Plenty of MLS is back tournament games.
This is going to be a fun summer of sports folks.
And before we know it in a few weeks time, the MLB will start a week after that.
The MBA in the NHL, this takes a deflection.
It's over the end line out of play and a corner kick has been given to Manchester City.
Thank you, Josh, for joining the broadcast.
What's going on, Josh? Hope you are doing well.
Yeah, this has been a crazy game, really? Has That goal was incredible from Chez Adams.
His first ever primarily goal is his fourth shot on goal in his Premier Li career.
This header towards the back post there were two players in the era for man City J.
Zeus got the head to it and the third corner kick of the game for Man city.
It nearly resulted in the equalizer Pep Guardiola, with his hands over his head and just believed that it hasn't gone in.
Oh man, So so close.
Guardiola thought it was a goal.
It wasn't meant to be.
Man City remained patient because they could have that first school by now, that's for sure.
Here is Raheem Sterling Sterling to the bylines.
Still keeps it in playing in wins inside a corner kick corner kick.
Coming up here for Southampton rather for Man City is what I meant to say.
Cleared out by Southampton, Maheras goes shorts and Cheng Coz cross is blocked by Walker Peters Man City.
Those still in possession remember five substitutions allowed for both sides.
Neither team made a change at the halftime interval.
You can only do it at three different windows, though, for an engineer with a good ball and the shot is saved, the header once again is denied by McCarthy.
Jay sues had the second chance and what a chance of Waas McCarthy getting his glove to that one in man Citys still without a goal.
Truly unbelievable. Here.
Do I watch the championship? Ah, yeah, I will.
I watch a little bit.
They show like, like, three or four games each week on ESPN plus of the championship.
Like this morning.
I, uh, for like, a few minutes I checked out Ah! Swansea City.
Swansea City's game.
I completely forget who the heck they were playing.
And then yesterday I Ah! I checked out the game.
McCarthy stretches out.
Teoh, get a fist to that one! But once again it's a corner kick four Manchester City five instead of the second half.
Southampton still with one.
But that could be change soon.
Here is in shake.
Oh, left footed shot straight into Walker Peters and now Southampton Move up field as it's all the way back now with Anderson.
Well, it's going to go away right there, right into the hands of Alex McCarthy.
We take a look at that header from J Zeus, who was popped up by Walker Peters.
You just couldn't clear it out.
And it landed right into the path of Jesus who got upto Get ahead to it.
And that's a good reaction, right there.
from McCarthy. It's not the easiest of saves.
It was never gonna be easy.
First Jesus toe, you know, pick out a corner.
But ah McCarthy still to get down to make that save.
And it was a good job by him in the end.
Do I know Sheffield Wednesday? Yeah, Sheffield ones there are in the are in the championship there in the second division.
Yup, here is diving Silva into the feet of Jesus.
Now it's Consuelo through voltage.
Jesus, It's a good Balta Mahrez Maheras, Full speed ahead.
Couldn't get the shot off Southampton once again do their job Well done.
Defensively you're now is Redmond, Fernandina for city with it might have been a foul there.
And now a late whistle comes in from Andre Marriner.
It appears as though he was looking to play advantage, but there was no advantage to be given, as it was meant.
City giving away but are good officiating, thereby Andre Marriner.
He calls the foul back in Man City quickly take the free kick.
Here is Fernandina into Jesus to Jesus leaves it for Zinchenko.
It's a good through ball.
David Silva turns the corner.
The left footed strike saved by McCarthy.
Alex McCarthy coming up big time and time again.
This was a brilliant ball from Zinchenko.
A great turn as well.
From Silva, he did everything right except the shot blocked by McCarthy.
In the end, Alex McCarthy making himself big stretching out, making the angle tougher, Silva.
And it pays off in the end.
54th minute and still a one nil scoreline.
Do you want to know what Commissioner You want to meet One that? Yeah, the, uh the A F l Commissioner.
Right? Don't you want to meet him? I forget his name already.
It's a nice steel in the midfield by South Hampton.
Now it's Stuart Armstrong still going over the Nathan Redman.
Chips it over the top takes a deflection, But it's a miss clearance there from Eric Garcia Southampton Go all the way back to McCarthy.
Bernardo Silva now with it at the back for Man City.
And he goes across the back to Aymeric Laporte the doctors with the cross last night.
Yeah, Not surprised the crows keep on losing.
Don't they have it sealed with a Fernandina? You come sail.
Oh, now with it one v one against Redmond is a good ball in.
And how about that? A volley on what would have been a spectacular goal if it had gone in for Gabrielle Gee.
Zeus sure was a spectacular effort from the Brazilian, but the chances just keep piling up at this point. For Man City.
It's a corner kick now for the citizens.
They play it out as its con se lo to the back post.
Avid Silva sets up Jesus, Jesus, create space, gets the shot off.
But in the way of it was Oriel remain you.
Zintchenko wins the ball back and he goes all the way back for Ederson.
Well, it's one nil.
South Hampton, with the advantage at Saint Mary's Stadium on the south coast of England.
Thank you, everyone for tuning into the broadcast.
Raheem Sterling finds David Silva seal the back for Bernardo.
The shot is blocked in Southampton.
Well, their defense still holding off.
Although Man City just seemed to be getting better by the minute.
And now a yellow card has been given out the second of the game, this one to Fernandina.
Yeah, a late challenge there on Redmond and no complaints there.
Well, Fernandina shouldn't have any complaints, is what I should say.
But nowadays, every player has something just say no matter how obvious a foul and, uh, foul is.
And how warranted a yellow or Red guard is 57th minute Southampton lead by a goal and say a little shaky at the back.
Here is the gold score, Chay Adams.
And now somehow, some way it was offsides and all of that.
The flag goes up from the a r A man city prepared to make some changes.
We're gonna see filth.
Odin and Kevin Dobruna come in.
We saw both of them warming up at the end of that first half, and Pep Guardiola is going to need to make some changes if he wants a difference.
Because right now, men City just cannot find the back of the net.
And obviously credit has to go to Alex McCarthy, the goalkeeper for the Saints.
He's been coming up big.
Uh, he's came up big on multiple occasions.
Do I want to go to the South coast of England? Yeah, that would be That would be cool, for sure.
It seemed it seems nice.
The whole country of England really so no.
And now here do come.
The changes will see Raheem Sterling.
I believe his number went up on the board. Will see.
Yep. We'll see Sterling coming off.
Really a non factor.
Raheem Sterling tonight never really got into the game.
So photon comes in for him and Deborah Aina will come on for Riyad Mahrez.
So double change from Pep Guardiola the 1st 2 changes of the game for either side.
So we'll see what these two substitutes conduce Oh, off the bench and both abroad and food and very much so qualified for being in the starting lineup for city.
And they have been in just looking back in a few games prior to this one in the past few games, Dobrien a and photon of both men in the starting lineup.
Obviously, with the congestion of fixtures all teams, it's required that it's a mandated that all teams have tohave three days in between games.
But that's still not a lot of red.
That's still not a lot of rest.
Just two games, two days in between games on on multiple occasions for most of the teams, that was the case for Man City.
They just played on Thursday when we got Friday and Saturday off.
So rest is part of the, uh is part of the situation here because you're not gonna be able to put out your best team every single game, just the way the just because of the way the, uh, the fixtures are have been arranged.
Obviously, the ah five substitution ins rule now was put in place due to how Maney pictures are being played in such a short period of time.
And so we're at the hour Mark.
Khalfan our left, Southampton will still leading by a goal.
It's been that way since the 16th minute, but this last half hour will probably feel like a few days for Southampton, but they can pull out the victory.
It will be all worth it in the end.
And maybe they can get a goal on the counter here to really make it tough for Man City to dig their way back into this one.
Here is Auriol, Romain, Romania, Back four Armstrong.
Prowse sends it towards the corner flag and he's actually going to get to this.
It looks like he does, but only to prevent it from going over the byline and clears it away for a throwing instead.
Sorry for the background noises throwing for Manchester City.
Here is Kevin Dobruna, Phil Phone.
And it was a good turn, but couldn't quite get it to the other substitute Kevin de Broin.
Oh, yes, that is my dog Von.
Sorry about that.
Sorry about that.
For all of you tuning in, I thought the door upstairs was shut, but apparently it isn't all right with the Brian are looking to the back post, but too much on it in the end.
Sorry about my dog barking furiously in the background.
Someone I think arrived at my house.
So that's what all the commotion is about from her.
Now we've have a man down for a Southampton and his Ryan Bertrand.
Who's down? I believe so.
We'll see if you'll be able to continue the athletic trainers out to attend to him.
So he's being looked at here.
It looks like his right foot is the issue 62nd minute here on SportsCastr, and I don't know if Nathan or rather no, it's Ah, I don't know if Ryan Bertrand will be able to continue here.
He's back up on his feet and you'll walk it off to the sideline a little bit gingerly.
It looks like he may be able to carry on.
We'll keep an eye on that.
Southampton have yet to make a substitution in this game.
The possession in favor of Man City, 72 to 28 percent.
They also have the invention shot 16 6 shots on goal.
Five to my thoughts on Matt role.
Is that another NFL player? Sorry, I I don't I don't really watch the fl of on I.
I tune in now and again, but it's during the middle of the night side here and the Eastern Time zone.
So I can't really, um so I can't I can't really, uh, have any thoughts on any NFL players.
I I don't. I barely know any player.
So here is Zintchenko Javid Silva, Flick the Head by Deborah Aina, but cleared away on Leah's faras Fernandina.
Now it's in Shango with the through ball Excellent defending right there from Jack Stevens.
But it is yet another corner kick for Manchester City.
Here is Kevin Dobruna that left footed services blocked background tuna, Bryana.
He now goes toe Zintchenko for an Andino finds Dobrien of the square ball lands to Silva.
The shot is deflected wide in Manchester City just cannot find the back of the net.
I believe it was Kyle Walker Peters who got in the way of it 65 minutes in in the score.
Still one now, another corner kick for Man city.
Can they finally cash in on one of them? You'd have to think so.
Here is Bernardo Bernard of the Kevin Deborah Aina.
Now it's stabbing silver.
Once again, he goes out wide for Zintchenko through the Bernardo.
It's a good touch back to Zinchenko, curling it in Jay Zeus in the area but headed down and away by the Saints.
Jennings went down, but no foul called We play on Man City.
Continue to apply the pressure in create chances.
It's the brought into the back post and out of nowhere in game Walker Peters toe had it out of danger, said he's still looking to hurry things up.
Quick corner kick taken place short by Bernardo to Daveed Silvas and check with the in.
Swinger the head or write to the keeper off the hop.
Easy saving the end for McCarthy.
That isn't the first opportunity that Jesus has had, especially when it's come to headers as well.
Chances really are, though, piling up Man City dominating right now.
But the scoreboard says otherwise.
There's been so many great chances went chances that on any other day, you'd say Man City would would finish.
Just hasn't been there day so far.
David Sillitoe, Bernardo.
There are no to the penalty spot South and the numbers back and Armstrong now with it.
Ryan Bertrand down the line is a bad gimbal.
Anderson comes out and it's the right decision in the end, from the Brazilian as he goes with a sliding effort and got there just in time to clear that one away with his feet outside the box that could have ended in disaster.
But in the end, Ederson looks like the genius because it turned out to be the the right decision.
Now is just a horrible Give away at the back.
Let's see the replay This It was a ball that didn't seem too threatening.
Consuelo tried to play it back, and that nearly led to a second goal for Southampton.
Anderson had to come way out of his box.
It was almost like a defender's sliding challenge there from Ederson to clear that one away.
And that does bring us to the second half.
Unbelievable here from ST Mary's Stadium, South Hampton just defending for their lives.
They have 20 or so more minutes to do that.
And if they're able to hold off what a victory would be for the Saints over a second place Manchester City Man City have looked like one of the best teams in Europe since the ah since they returned from the hiatus.
Obviously, excluding that little bump in the road against Chelsea, Fulham will get relegated again next season.
The way, The way that it's gone the last few seasons, it's probably going to be the case here now.
You're probably not wrong about that, Von Oh, look at that beautiful skyline shot over ST Mary Stadium right on the water.
Beautiful sight right there.
The sun still hasn't set in England.
A lot of cruise ships come into the port right on that on the south coast of England, right near ST Mary Stadium, Really a cool sight with the skyline shot over ST Mary Stadium looking at the surrounding area.
Yeah, the sunset, actually in South Hampton, England, isn't until 9 21 so it will be light out for the rest of this game.
70 minutes in, and now we will see the first substitution of the game for Southampton.
It will be Che Adams, the goal scorer who will be taken off, interestingly enough, what a game is.
I had what ago? It waas from Adams.
An absolute wonder goal goal of the weekend, for sure.
Maybe goal of the restart since the primarily came back in the action celebration.
Shea Adams comes off a good 70 minutes shift, and it Shane Long, who enters long who on may be any other day, would actually start ahead of Adam's.
But looks like Ralph Hasen.
Huddle has made the right decision to put Chay Adams in the starting lineup because he might have gotten what may turn out to be the game winner.
No, Birmingham seems a good city to watch a game.
Yeah, yeah, there's a lot of nice cities in England.
It looks like from from, like pictures I've seen in stuff Yeah, it's not just the big cities to like London, Manchester and Liverpool.
Yeah, there's also cities, you know, like Birmingham.
Some cities on the south Coast that are nice is well, 71st minute here on SportsCastr Laporte goes across the back.
It's now Fernandina on the ball.
This is played out wide for Zintchenko.
Now it Zinchenko once again along the sideline back It goes for report.
72nd minute Man City remaining patient but running out of time.
Slowly but surely have I seen fans running on the field in the primary before? And Ah, all.
You mean, like streakers that Yeah, like, knucklehead fans that just run onto the field during the game? Um, I don't know if I have seen in the Premier League before.
Yeah, maybe I have.
But I'm not sure, actually, the security is pretty well in the primarily I know, like mostly at the international level is when I see fans just run onto the field.
Ah, it actually happened in La Liga a few weeks back.
There's no fans line the stands, but in the in the my arca Barsa game, somehow some fans snuck into the stadium and then ran out of the field to try to get a picture with Messi.
Ah, well, yeah, but no, The probably I don't think I've ever seen it honestly, actually went to a sporting vs Celtic game at Fenway Park a couple summers back.
It was a pre season friendly, and there was, Ah, that was somebody ran on the field in that game.
I remember it quite clearly.
Now is a fun experience seeing a soccer game at Fenway Park here is Bernardo, threaded through de Broin with quite the strike.
Couldn't keep it low enough, though, as it's over for a goal kick back on the replay.
This this just landed perfectly for no Brana, and he had that send that one on goal in the blink of an eye cause he wasn't really expecting that the land right in his path.
It was also on the volley.
Not an easy technique by any means.
73 to 27% Man City.
The shots keep on increasing for cities 1906 Now they also lead in shots on goal, 62 Remember the championship game last year of hand right out of the field? Really? Yeah, it happens.
There's some knuckleheads like that beautiful night in South Hampton, England.
15 minutes left in this one can man city, at least get an equalizer and, ah, even pull off the come back and get the win.
Maybe not, because here comes South Hampton.
It's a good save by Ederson.
Stuart Armstrong, with the strike in, nearly made it two for Southampton.
But it wasn't meant to be as Ederson in the first big stop of the game.
Really, for Man City, Southampton.
Those still in in possession, I should say, Gabrielle Jesus, though, steals it along the sideline but couldn't keep it in playing a throwing awarded.
Yeah, this is a good save.
Hereby, Ederson looking back on the replay of it.
It landed right to Stuart Armstrong.
It actually went off the hell it looked like of Danny Ings, and Ederson had to go down low to make the kick save 76 minutes in the books.
14 to go, You're comes out xanthan yet again.
This time around, it's Stuart Armstrong yet again with the chance, but it was never too threatening at.
It's a comfortable, safer Ederson Man.
City's still searching for that first goal of the game, which could have come on multiple occasions.
At this point, they could have Ah, a number of goals right now, but between just great goalkeeping from Alex McCarthy at times toe, just bad shots.
At other times, it's remained one nil.
Spend that way since the 16th minute.
Avid Fill that out wide.
It's on the feet of Bernardo Bernardo over the groin.
He takes it down nicely.
Didn't quite get off the strike.
He was looking for Man City.
Those still with it here is Deborah Aina.
So didn't battered Obrinje.
The ball is a low one in towards Jack Stevens, who decide to head it away.
Back with Alexander Zinchenko.
Zinchenko DeBernardo cuts it back.
Ford Zintchenko, who curls this one looking for food in but can't quite get there in the end.
And now Nathan Redmond nearly had it lost, but there help him out.
Is Romeo Redman goes up the sideline out of play in front of the bench area.
The big news earlier in the week was Man City selling Leroy sonnet toe.
Leroy Sunday just didn't really work out at Man City.
Unfortunately, he I think he's only played two games this season.
He suffered that injury that has kept him out the whole season, and it just never quite clicked for him at Man City.
But what a talent he truly is.
And I'm sure we'll find a way into the starting lineup at Bayern Munich.
I mean, maybe it will take some time.
He's not just gonna be an automatic because that paramedic team is so good.
But I think he'll definitely maybe him and Koeman will rotate.
Still, David Silva, that is looking for the through, bounce back to Foreign Andino.
The strike is blocked.
Now it's on the foot of Zintchenko.
Then *** Oh goes outside of the left boot for David Silva and Kyle Walker.
Peters thereto blasted out of play.
That's off of Manchester City, Southampton.
With the throwing, they'll be in no particular hurry to take it as the time keeps on ticking.
Ninth minute is where we now currently stand.
Thank you, everyone for its shooting and hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.
This has been a fantastic weekend of primary league action.
It really has been.
I've I've sure enjoyed it.
I was happy toe see Chelsea when? Yesterday.
It's only call for that game.
You're ashamed along the substitute.
It's a poor poor cross in the end, right into the hands of Ederson, a reminder of Southampton have only made one substitution around.
Passing Little for the most part, has stuck with his starting line up all the way.
Three D minutes now that Guardiola has only made two changes that was followed in and abroad, who came in at once replacing those Sterling and Maheras, respectively.
We've got 10 minutes left now, Man City.
We're running out of time to even get a point out of this one.
Here is David Silva.
Square ball for Fernandina.
No, Fernand Jr looks to go to the other side.
It's blocked by ings, but right back into him.
Eric Garcia Garcia Across four Aymeric Laporte.
Now it Zintchenko Jenko with a decent ball in.
But Romeo is there drops for David Silva Silva at the edge of the 18.
He's looking for Bernardo, but Southampton come away with it and maybe Shane Long can generate something on the counter.
But that last touch way too far at he didn't have much options and support to be fair, but Instead, he just should have held up play to wait for his fellow teammates to get upfield and for Southampton, get numbers on the attack instead.
City of throwing.
And maybe it will lead to a goal here phone and with the cross Jesus in the area drops for David Silva.
And what a block it was by Stuart Armstrong and the 100th corner kick of the game for Man city.
At least it feels that way.
At this stage, it's true that more games means more money.
Yeah, Oh, yeah, yeah, it's a near post delivery from Kevin Dobruna and now Lansford J Zoo.
Surely he was offside, or maybe last went off.
A Southampton player, actually in the corner kick has been given NHL cares about money.
Yeah, I'll always care about money.
So you know the more games they can get, the more money they'll learn.
Kevin de Broin, a service cleared once again et second minute.
Here is an Jenko.
Now it's Bernardo.
Who would have thought that we would be in for a possible upset in the night cap.
This is now wide for Deborah Deborah, when it gets by Bertrand's once again South Hamptons so good defensively and it sent out of play for a Manchester City throwing.
Here is Ederson Anderson Till the port.
Now it's Fernand Genio switches fields and connects with Kevin Dobruna to Brian A Finder.
Zinchenko Zinchenko to Daven Silva back Ally for Zintchenko.
The cross isn't the best one, but it makes its way all the way to the other side with Garcia Kevin de Broin up hurling that one in towards the far post.
It was Jack Stevens got ahead to it.
But it's the Bryana.
Once again, out wide for Zintchenko.
That ball headed away.
And now reports gonna have a go from way out there and it's over the cross bar for a goal kick report.
Set himself up nicely.
Got plenty of speed on the strike.
Plenty of velocity on that one, but just couldn't keep it down.
That was never gonna be a threatening shot.
At the end of the day, we're 84 minutes in.
Well, man saying may suffer their ninth loss of the season.
And, uh, that's that's really crazy.
Nine losses for a team like man city, Just something you're not usedto seeing.
They've been so good the last couple of years, and it's been an up and down season, really, for Man City standards.
Yes, there in second place.
I understand that.
But the reality is there more than 20 points back of first place Liverpool.
And that gap needs to be way closer.
Gabriel Jesus, one in the corner kick.
He's not going to get it and he slams the ball down in frustration.
Could have got a card for that, but I was lucky enough to get away with it.
Five minutes until stoppage time actually does get a card. Okay.
Yes, I was right, Gabriella.
Jesus in frustration slams the ball down and just a pointless yellow card to pick up right there.
And the less postpone the game.
Yeah, I know, I know.
Yep, they postponed Thursday's game against between I should say, FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps you have seen else have had nine players chest positive in the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Apparently, they had I think two players test positive, but they also had some inconclusive tests, so they delayed their departure from Vancouver because they want to make sure that everyone was then was the negative and ready to go, so they're not arriving until tomorrow.
It just for both sides.
It didn't make sense toe to go on with that game on Thursday because ah, FC Dallas need time for all of their players that tested positive to quarantine and recover.
And ah, Vancouver.
You know, if the game had gone on, they would only have arrived three days before the game, and they need toe.
They need to settle in and get some trainings training under their belts.
So it only made sense for them to postpone that game between Dallas and Vancouver.
The way a reminder.
Next Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
Eastern time, it will be taught them versus ****nal in the London Darby.
That should be a great one a week from today.
Meanwhile, on this Sunday, this game's not over yet.
Zinchenko service send away throwing for the citizens.
They quickly put it back in place in Southampton.
Pull off this upset.
They're defending for their lives.
Here, here is Daveed Silva.
Through long, he finds Bernardo Bernardo into the area phone and shouted for a hand ball and a bit of confusion in the box.
In the end of foul called against Manchester City.
And it's Walker Peters, whose down from Boo ****nal yah boo ****nal. Ansan.
I know you're a Tottenham fan, Bonds, but you know, I don't I don't like either team, obviously with myself being a Chelsea Finn.
Yeah, there was so much going on in the box right there.
It was kind of hard to make out what even happened.
So 88th minute, the most likely be a substantial amount of time at it on.
But this injury does seem to be a serious one for Kyle Walker Peters.
Maybe more serious than I maybe expected at first, but he is getting back up on his feet.
This is a good sign.
Here is he walks his way off.
I was a challenge from Garcia that put him down, but he seems all right.
Walker Peters does.
Why do I like seed on? Because I'm around Madrid fan vaulting and he's done a great job at Rail of Madrid, by the way, saw them.
Its upcoming probably fixtures look like this Thursday will be at Everton and then for Man City Wednesday they'll be home against Newcastle who this is laid off.
You're a Shane long maybe Southampton can get Oh, the dagger.
Although this one's taken away by the Broin up its into the feet of Jesus, Jesus lost it.
Man down. Three.
Approach stoppage time and I will be played out by Ryan Bertrand because we have another injury here for Southampton.
It's Bednarek who's down? Oh yeah, he took an elbow to the face there from Gabrielle Jesus. It appeared.
No records back up.
I'll be curious to see how much time is added onto the end of the second half, though.
Probably gonna be a lot.
I'd have to think so Anyways, Jesus is on the yellow card, which he got just five minutes ago.
I believe you have to be careful, that's for sure.
B R can check for possible red cards, but I don't know if it was really intentional.
At the end of the day, they'll be five, and it's a stoppage time here.
So there you have it.
Five minutes added on.
This will seem like a century for Southampton.
Can they close out here? So even Erica's back onto the field? Let's see if Man City can finally get that equalising goal that they've been searching for for 75 minutes.
Now it's given away in the middle of the pitch in the feet of the field. Excuse me, Phil.
Food in finds Gabrielle Jesus J.
Zeus into the box.
It's a good sliding challenge there.
From Bednarek now a corner kick.
Kevin de Bruyne with the service cleared again, this time by Danny Ings Things was a little shaken up, but he's back up Man City.
Meanwhile, back on the attack, Indians takes another knock as that cross one right into his stomach.
It looked like my oh my Jennings, though back on his feet You gotta love the way this guy plays just in Absolute warrior Here is David Silva.
The shot is blocked by Jack Stevens and now cleared away.
Two minutes down in stoppage time.
Zinchenko keeps it alive for Manchester City.
Zintchenko finds Bernardo now It's back with dabbing Silva Silver The Kevin Dobruna sent in.
And the way Now here is Ryan Bertrand.
Maybe Southampton can catch them on the break.
Shane Long is free Down the left hand side.
What? The past was a poor one from Armstrong and now south. And a lot.
The hustle back on defense midway through stoppage time.
So long switch out wide to fill, Flowed and flowed in Finds Kevin de Broin a good chip over the top.
But the shots wide from Bernardo Silva.
Oh, man, Ze**** might resign.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not ruling it out.
I mean, he literally left Real Madrid and then came back to coach them once again.
So I definitely wouldn't be mad at him if he did resign.
Because it looks like Real Madrid are gonna win the LA Liga title.
And obviously they're still in the running for champions like that, actually still to play their second leg against Manchester City.
But if Raya Madrid are able to make a run in Champions League and they do good in that competition than my oh, my I mean, that would be the ultimate ending.
Presenting Z Don in charge of rail And why did he come back? I mean, I don't know, Um it wasn't really working at Real Madrid after you left, so I guess he missed coaching to and and decided that he wanted to go back on the job.
He's doing good.
Once again, he had so much success first time around.
So I guess he just missed it and want to help out The team Here is Bernardo.
One minute left in stoppage time, Command said to get the equalizer.
Will Southampton pull off the biggest upset of the weekend? It's Alexander Zinchenko, a good cross in South Hampton scrambling for their lives.
They get out of the box, but only as far as Kevin Dobruna.
They brought it out.
So Eric Garcia, Phil photo now wide to the body to the touchline.
Rather, we are 40 seconds away or thereabouts from the final whistle to Brian out.
If Odin it's the Portuguese walk on sale with the cross, it's got by the keeper.
It's deflected wide of the post, but just barely.
It was nearly an own goal as that took a massive redirection off the foot of Stuart Armstrong.
Oh, man! Yeah! Alex McCarthy, the goalkeeper for Southampton, just missed time.
That one in my own mind.
Well, Southampton, pull it out! They're trying to clear once again men city trying to send it forward, trying to get one last shot off.
They won't be able to do so Or will they know they might be able Teoh as a foul has been called against Armstrong right outside the 18 yard box.
And what a chance now for Manchester City.
Surely it will be the last kick of the game here, but it's in a really good area, and I expect Kevin Dobriant to take it.
You truly is there. Free kick specialist.
What we have here in the comments, ready for some summer hockey? Yeah, yeah, definitely.
Von. I'm ready for it, man.
I'm ready for a summer of sports and should be absolutely spectacular.
All right, so McCarthy sets up the wall.
Let's see how much is on the wall first.
How many players are on the wall for the Saints? Well, before the free kick has taken, Southampton will make a substitution.
This is just their second change of the game.
It's pretty remarkable what this team has been able to dio.
Obviously, Man City have dominated, especially in the second half, but it will be a well earned victory of South and again pull it out here because they've defended for their lives and they just grind it out.
Here it is Armstrong who's come off, by the way you know that small bone who's come in come Well, this isn't right here.
Could man City sal***e a point? Or will Southampton come away with all three? It's the brilliance and shingle lining up.
I predict it would be to broaden it to take it.
Let's see if that's the case.
Yesterday's That's Kevin Dobruna right into the wall, and surely that will do it.
But the final whistle hasn't been blown.
It's back with Kevin Deborah Aina, and the sliding challenge is a good one and might be the game savior for Shane Long.
And indeed, it is the final whistle blown by Andre Marriner, and it is all over from ST Mary Stadium.
How about that for a victory in an upset to wrap up the weekend in the Premier League.
The final score.
Southampton one, Manchester City Nil Southampton.
Goto 43 points in a comfortable 13th place as a mid table side man city.
Meanwhile, stay where they are right in second place in my oh my von.
You're saying you remember when Man said he was bad? Yeah, I mean, just 10 years ago, they weren't even that good of a side.
And as I wrap up the broadcast.
Let's just go over the full match stats.
The scoreline said one thing, but the rest of the stats said another.
The final score.
One nil south hand about the shots.
The shots on goal.
74 Man City had two more fouls as well, but in the end, it south and new grind out the victory.
Well, there's a NASCAR race coming up.
It's the Brickyard 400 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
But that's gonna do it for my broadcast.
As I hope you guys enjoy its Southampton with the upset.
How about that? For a surprise to wrap up a quadruple header of action in the Premier League today, I am Samuel re signing off, saying so long I'll be back tomorrow for the last game of the match day at 3 p.
Eastern sign will be talking vs Everton that what should definitely be a great game to wrap up the weekend in the Premier League well, south end and pull off the upset.
What a game! It waas plenty of entertainment in it.
I enjoyed calling it for you guys and I'll see you next time
