Well, some everybody.
Can you hear me? See how we're looking.
All right. Cool.
Um, give me one sec.
You guys know I got to do it on my phone.
Right? All right.
We'll see how many people are in here.
I haven't done one of these on a Friday in I don't even know how long it's been.
It's been a while, man.
So I don't really know what it's like on Fridays anymore.
Um, it's hot if you can't tell.
My whole face is breaking out. I look sweaty.
I've been It's hot out here, man.
So that's all I know.
What? This moment in time, Uh, hope everybody's doing well, tonight's, um, doing I'm doing okay, man, at a productive little day, You know, uh, clean the house very domesticated day and just kind of got things together a little bit.
Last couple of days have been busy in a good way, you know, Had an article come out this week about rodeos, quirks that I was happy with.
And then that stream will sub Nolan, how we doing? Grilled meats.
And I come a good questions.
Had article come out this week had, Ah, that stream yesterday with with Brian, that was awesome.
I mean, I just He was amazing.
And I, you know, I'm usually I'm usually pretty hard on my stuff, but I was really happy with that.
So that side of things has been good, Um, on my own right now, here in New York don't know how long that's going to remain the case, um, it will see.
I don't know that there's a chance that I'm going back to California for a little while just to save, to be completely honest with you and not pay utilities and not pay all this stuff out here, not pay for groceries, because I'm really not, You know, I can continue to do what I've been doing with all this streaming stuff in the writing.
Um, I can do that out there.
So So that's so that's a big thing going on my life hanging over my head a little bit.
But other than that, that's a more long term picture.
The short term, everything's been pretty good.
I do want to stay out here all the way through the basketball season, or at least the Nets basketball season.
Um, which I hate to say this.
I think it's gonna be shortly over.
Um, you know, problem probably will be done.
Whatever the first round, like, what's the the soonest state that the first round could be done? That that would be my my prediction on this.
Not to be too grim on that, but yes, so once, once that that sort of period of Nets basketball in the season ends, then I've got some bigger things.
I'll probably get into that a little bit more later when we actually get there.
But that is a possibility that I'll be doing this from a different location.
I'll be doing these types of streams, um, this stream itself or this this channel.
I'm planning to do some interesting things with over the next couple of weeks.
Um, I'm having bucks film room on Monday to talk over some bucks stuff, which will be really exciting.
Um, it's gonna be a really good way for me to get really current with the league and touch on some of these playoff teams and kind of prime myself for once we get there because my plan, at least right now, is to transition over to a little bit more general N B A stuff once the season does.
You know whenever that may happen again.
As I said, I think it's gonna be pretty soon.
When that does happen, I do plan to switch over to general MBA stuff.
It's something that I've done pretty much every year.
I think since I've started writing is kind of once playoffs rolls around trying to do the best that I can and like, cover every other team because eventually that's what I want to do one day.
If you guys don't know that, so so that'll be interesting.
And I have the now than added caveat of Maybe it being I'm on Pacific time and trying to do all that.
So so that's what's new with me.
Um, I'm taking an easier time, and I'm nothing really too crazy.
As the title says in terms of like talking points, Um, I definitely added some fuel to the Bill and Gregg Popovich fire today.
I actually really don't think Gregg Popovich is gonna come here to Brooklyn.
I just he's in his seventies and I think there's a LA higher chance of him retiring than him taking this big home run swing, you know, with these Nets and trying to do something with that, that's personally where my head's at. Right now.
I get the Godfather offer.
I get what that could entail.
It could mean you know something along the lines of like, I my guy 85 said that on here.
Like if you give him some options of like President title in a way that we haven't really seen, um, that we really haven't seen since.
Who was the last guy to be? I guess Coach president.
Would that be Stan Van Gundy, Tom Thibodeau? A thing you don't see too often? It's It's kind of a a little bit of a challenging pairing, I think for a guy who wants to just do the coaching stuff, that could be a bit of a big ask.
I think the idea, though, if you are running something like a Kyrie and a K d and let's say Abeel and they're just because I I want to continue that fun little idea and theology.
Um, if you were to do something like that, the team has kind of figured out probably the case.
Good to see, you know, um, yet probably the case.
He honestly looked relatively disinterested in basketball types at times this year.
I'm assuming is I don't know.
I don't have that message cut off.
Yeah, I agree. So that's the other thing about Gregg Popovich.
I don't think Gregg Popovich, and this is I have to be very careful, but I just don't want to look like a new idiot here.
Gregg Popovich doesn't need to prove anything else. He doesn't.
He doesn't at all that Spurs team, I think no one could even for a test to this, it was not maybe the most entertaining group or interesting group at all times.
The same way that I'm gonna be honest.
The Nets weren't always the most interesting group this year.
I felt that way a little bit about the Spurs as well.
In the in the two times that they faced each other, I just They didn't really jump off the page for me.
So with that said, I could see if pop is kind of, you know, I don't know, taking us foot off the pedal a little bit, You know, the way they were playing just that.
I have no issue with mid range shots.
I do have an issue with it.
Um, his wife passed away a few years ago.
Tony, Tim and Manu and Choir gone hard to blame him.
Yes, and that's the thing like, this isn't anything.
God, that's a great point.
I actually, I might even be.
I might not even make this point cause that's such a good point that you just made right there that this is probably complete noise and nonsense.
All I'm wondering is like, Do you really want to take on that big giant assignment in Brooklyn and try to coach these? You know, these really star superstar players, but also can be a little bit finicky.
I think I The word I'm looking for, like, a little bit, just egos that you have to manage a little bit.
I don't know, a little skeptical of that.
It's just a big ass for him, and it's just a lot on the line.
Um, it's not like the Nets, like right now, they are a great, great situation for no matter who coaches them.
But I don't think that there this giant giant giant giant slam dunk because of the injury concerns.
And that's something at me and Brian talked about yesterday.
I don't remember if we did that on here or not, but I would.
I'm just a little, I don't know.
It's it seems like it could be a difficult situation.
I'm not sure that's something he would want to take on, obviously, the talent.
You take that 100 times out of 100 but but that's that's what That's my kind of like thoughts on this whole thing.
So, yeah, that's my main talking point.
Otherwise, we're kind of waiting on.
I'm waiting on the Nets to come up with a replacement player.
It's been they drag their feet.
I mean, I kind of heard that they were going to make a signing, and I we were about to scrap that stream that I did with Chris, you know, sort of through the g****vine that they were gonna make it, you know, sometime in the last couple of days.
And I don't know, I guess that that didn't happen.
So now I'm kind of wondering when that's gonna happen.
What it's gonna look like what they're gonna target and what? You know, Just what What's gonna be that the the move there.
I I hope for any of these guys that there's anything guys they're gonna bring together on this roster and just in general, with the style of basketball I would want to watch.
I'm actually leaning a little bit more in the direction of, like, I would want to see a little bit closer to a summer league type of roster versus something along the lines off.
You know, a bunch of older veterans, you know, maybe like a bunch of I mean, you think about it like the Nets.
Right now, it's a bunch of like three and D two guards and not much else.
Really, Like some undersized four is, It's a very weird mix.
It's a bunch of guys that would look much better next to other guys that can create on their own.
And I love care.
Silver. I think he's going to do a great job.
I I have some modest expectations for what Christiane's is gonna look like, But, um, I'll talk about Justin Anderson in just a second.
I actually don't have many points on Justin Anderson.
I haven't watched him enough.
Um, but for them, I'm just wondering.
A little bit of it doesn't really make sense to bring Garrett Temple and TLC and Taurean Prince and all these guys down there when there's nobody that's really going to get them the ball.
There's not gonna be a ton of creators outside of those two guys that I just mentioned.
Maybe Jeremiah Martin, depending opponent.
He looks like it just seems like I would rather see a bunch of, like, guys that could potentially be a two way contracts or something like that throughout this next year.
Non guaranteed deals.
I would personally rather see that because I think that there is a firm ceiling on this team, no matter what.
So why not just throw in a little bit of influx of youth talent personally, that's where I'm at right now.
Uh, Noah says no.
Appreciate you dropping on this.
I've loved on you, By the way, Men.
I've just started following a bunch of guys from other teams.
No, was one of them.
His stuff is great.
Um, and I I appreciate you being in here, man.
Justin Anderson, Absolute dog.
Are we sure this isn't my guy.
Jensen, um, typing this out.
Didn't know and take your take your phone for a second? No, I just in Anderson.
I mean, so I was talking a lot with Chris, like, I think that Justin Anderson maybe outside of, like, cool work.
So I wrote about this week and I cast maybe Jared Allen.
Levert's the obvious pick, but he's one of those guys that has a lot to benefit from this tournament.
So if he really plays well, he's out of position.
That three and D type of talent that 30 teams in the league want.
If he plays well, there's a lot to gain.
You want to say Hi.
Uh, so So that's what's That's kind of what's on my mind.
I you know, again, they could really, really, really use, not the type of player that no Wahba is because I think he's super, super, super unique.
But they could use somebody that does a little bit of similar things.
Justin Anderson plays really, really hard by all accounts, and if he hits the three that's going to keep him in the league, that's it.
That's that's it, right now, as I said with Chris the a couple days ago, he was somebody that because he was drafted to the Mavericks, he was kind of expected from day one, and I think this is probably realistic for him.
Honestly, Even though he was so explosive and athletic, he was expected to be, you know, a three and D guy.
And when he wasn't hitting threes, he moved on from him.
They weren't gonna put the ball in his hands.
They were gonna let him create by himself.
Like they kind of They had an idea for what they wanted him to be.
And I think a lot of other teams had an idea for what they wanted him to be.
And that's what's kept him out of the league until now, you know, you shooting what did he shoot? 37% in the D League.
So if you could maintain that, then I think he has a real shot.
I really dio So, um, what do we got here? Pop to Brooklyn.
What's up, Fred? Um, why don't we bring Mike Beasley Crawford? I t down there because I don't know the upside is man.
That's the thing like offense isn't going to be the problem next year.
So any guys like that, Yeah, it might help in the short term, but I would just like we know what they're gonna be.
Those guys, they're on the other side of the hill.
I like I t to a degree because he can still shoot at a pretty high level, but it's always been a net loss, one of the worst net losses in the league defensively.
And because he's not really getting the line anymore, I don't think he's really bringing anything.
I haven't been to Jamal Crawford.
I don't even know the last time I was into Jamal Crawford.
Anything of that Big 50 point game that we see every, you know, 15 minutes on Twitter.
But he hasn't been good in really since Clipper Land, and even there were moments as a Clipper where you felt like they were a little bit better with him off the floor.
That's just I've never been a Jamal Crawford guy and then Mike Beasley.
Mike Beazley's another one where it's like it's way more enticing in theory to have him on a team.
But when you actually get him the production is not really there.
He'll have, like, big, big, giant quarters.
And then it will be like You will kind of forget that Mike Beasley is on your team.
So I'm not not super keen on any of those guys, but I wouldn't You know what? Like here's a guy like Carmelo Anthony, I could get into Carmelo Anthony next year.
He was productive this year, and I think I'd rather have him for some, I guess.
Like bench production.
I know Billy Reinhardt will live here in that, but yeah, that I would rather do that.
All right, Down you go.
What else we got? We'll start.
What's up, bro? Ah, one dimensional.
Not a lot of upside of, obviously, but he hustles.
Yeah, Justin Anderson, man like him, a rational Dragan Bender said, Yeah, what? I'd love to see him on a team with a legit developmental staff.
I'm not sure about his availability.
Another guy that we talked about on what day was that? Wednesday.
God, this week has been very compact.
Let's see yet, Yeah, Dragan Bender.
Dragan Bender is one of those guys.
I will forever have stock into a degree because of how well he moves for his size.
And I'll answer the bill question in a second cause I do.
I sway every week, but um yeah, Dragan Bender again like he was drafted and you'd see videos of him playing and even just practicing in Barcelona.
And this guy really moves well for his size.
That's something that the 11 of the few things that really translated for him was that speed.
He's really quick on his feet.
If the three ever starts falling, I think he's something.
Um he's his field was awful like in the first couple of years.
I admittedly did not watch him a ton in Golden State because I didn't watch Golden State period.
I made a point of not watch state this year, so I don't know what he's looked like all the way.
I again with this project that I'm planning to dio.
I want to bring on one of the guys that covers gold Golden State pretty extensively, so I can kind of get a better feel for some of these guys because there's just a lot of guys that I think are Young and I want to know if they performed well or didn't perform well because they were on a talent strip team or if they're actually really pieces, because I think you can get a little sucked into that.
There are certain guys that look better than they actually are on a team that's gonna win under 20 games.
And then there are certain guys that look a lot worse where you know they get cut and it's like, Oh, we probably How did the like you look back a couple of years on like basketball reference? And you're like, How was whatever ex player will use David Guava since I brought it back? How was David? No Wahba cut by the 19 win Cleveland Cavaliers.
If he's so productive and you know his his, I guess his role dwindled, and it's just because again, he's somebody that need meets other productive players around him.
So, yeah, I was a long, long tangent.
I don't know how I got that far into David Alaba, but that's kind of why I do these liken ramble for uh however long about various teams, including the Nets, including the Warriors.
So yeah, Dragan Bender. I like him.
I don't not like holding out hope that he's amazing, but I like the I like the idea of him, Um, I a fan of gutting the team for Biel.
Yeah, I think you take the talent grab, right? I don't think that's even should be.
Much of a question Depends what Caris Levert looks like.
I'm the same things that I was skeptical about in March with him, and I like a lot about him, so I don't I hate that I always do this first because I should preface it with.
I really, really like him as a player.
I think he's a really, really awesome piece for just about any team.
I do wonder for his sake.
If there's another team that actually fits a little bit better for him.
I'm not sure if playing off ball, it's on and you know, and and the demands of that is necessarily the thing that I would want for care subvert in the meantime.
So yeah, I think that some package of veal would include didn't witty Caris Levert, probably Jared Allen, something along those lines, a couple of pics and I would think about doing it because I think you take the town grab 10 times out of 10 and you figure it out from there because Bradley feels really good, man. He's really, really good.
It's you can look at the 30 points a game.
You can look at some of his efficiency like I would he shot from three, but I don't care, man, like he's gonna look awesome next to other really good players.
And you can't say that about every single proposed third star like I saw.
But I know my guy.
Jackman well put out a poll today, and he was comparing Brad Beal to Donovan Mitchell.
I actually think I'd rather have Brad Beal A because I think he's a better player, but b I actually think he fits a little bit better.
I know the defense is troubling.
The defense is going to forever be troubling, with Kyrie, Irving and Kevin Durant often Achilles injury.
I just you're gonna have to add pieces no matter what that are going to insulate those guys a little bit.
Bradfield doesn't help that, but I do think you can get him at a at least league average serviceable defensive role and allow him to dial in a little bit defensively if he's that third star.
So there you go.
Yes, I am in favor of gutting the team, I guess.
What's up? Dawg wants to play right now.
I can't walk every time I want to walk my dog.
It starts pouring out like a thunderstorm right now.
Well, I always forget how bad this summer it's here.
I don't know how I forget it every year where it's like human human, Hubert.
And then it just is like gross thunderstorm for two hours from like 7 to 9.
I worked outdoors last summer at this spot in Manhattan, like SoHo area and the restaurant.
So I do restaurant where most you guys know this.
I do restaurant work to subsidize living out here because it's expensive.
And, um, I work in this outdoor bar and it ah, every time like like most of it was covered.
But there were certain parts that weren't covered.
So with the way it is out here, it would rain every single day every single day, the sit like about two hours into my shift because you know it's restaurant stuff you started.
Go till whatever midnight or whatever you want.
It depends on the restaurants.
I don't pick her up.
So, basically, I, uh it would like I would have these shifts I get there for get my stuff ready, and then, you know, it would start pouring, and I would be outside a little bit.
And I would be like serving people food like I like the hair is like, wet over my eyes.
I'm like dripping water on the food.
I don't know why anybody came there.
It's so gross toe have soaked servers giving you food and stuff, but yeah, that's a little fun.
Uh, what else we got? Beeler? Booker.
Ah, is I don't think Booker's available.
But, Bill Well, saw JD Mitchell or Bill, I just answer that.
I don't know which one will be, but I would rather have deal personally.
Show us the dog. All right.
She did not like that.
Um, yeah. Keep firing off questions.
I wish we had hair like Matt.
Right now I have.
So it's like curling up, which I didn't know. My hair did.
I haven't grown out my hair and I don't even know how long since I was like, You know what in middle school, back when I was Ah skateboarded and tried to do kick flips and never even came close to doing one.
So I haven't grown my hair out since then.
And because there's no way to get a haircut ever, Um, it's grown out and it's it's ugly.
I have poofy hair.
It doesn't grow down.
It's a lot, man.
Well, stop Mark.
Thank you for joining.
I got all my all my people in here.
Let's see what else happened this week.
I don't really have its under tow.
I kind of talked about most of stuff. I wanted to dio.
Do you like a little Mohawk? It's pretty sweet thoughts on Gobert's fit.
You know, it's funny.
I actually like Rudy go bear on the nets a little more than the average person.
I get it, he gets played out of games.
You're gonna close with Durant at the five.
I think, in deep playoff runs, no matter what, but, uh, I actually really like him on the nets.
I think he buys you a lot of ground defensively, and I I almost wonder if I should do an article on this because of how much I like that fit.
There's just there's something about the idea he's he just do such a gravity changer in that way.
Like even though he lost what, like 5% of his efficiency this year? I there's just he's still just such a gravity defying center guys.
They're just scared to go at him.
And that's still the way it is just because he's so tall.
He's got such long arms.
I got to say I'd be really into it on the Nets.
I think he's a little bit of a lower key option.
If, of course, the Jazz do decide.
Hey, maybe we're gonna try to rebuild on the fly a little bit with Donovan Mitchell.
Um, Rudy Go Bear has worn out his welcome.
Believe it at that, and if they wanted to do that, I can't lie, man, I'd be kind of into it.
I and I think that will surprise some people because I think most people would be like, Oh you know it.
It doesn't necessarily seem like a guy that I'd be super into because I do think he is not at all matchup proof.
Um, he's somebody that can easily get played off the court.
But I don't know if that matters again.
You know, if you look at the N B, a finals or even a conference finals, there are certain guys that play in the first half that you don't see as much, you know, a little bit ****her down the games.
And if Rubio bear is that guy for the Nets, so be it.
I maybe you even could survive with them.
And you run a little bit of a Twin Towers alignment where you have Rudy Gobert's the strong side Shah plucker.
And then on the other side you have Kevin Durant as the weak side shot blocker.
You know, I don't know if I'd want him running around like crazy and trying to do like a little bit of a unionist fous Emily.
But I I could get into it a little bit.
Lucas is on here.
What? I'm getting your thing.
I'm way behind on questions. Per usual.
I I'm talking to tonight.
Okay, So what's the plan for the four spot? I really like Aaron Gordon, but for Spencer.
I want Aaron Gordon to get traded.
I don't care where it is.
It's like every stream we got Aaron Gordon question and that's not me.
I don't want to sound like a ****, cause I actually really like the Aaron Gordon fit on the Nets.
It's just been rumored for so long that, um and especially the Spencer didn't Would he trade that? I, uh I it's become a mean for sure.
The Aaron Gordon Nets Twitter thing has become a mean.
I laugh every time I see it on the timeline.
Not because again, I don't.
It's a really good idea.
He's actually one of the most ideal low cost fits out there.
But I just like I'm just waiting for it to happen at this point because we've heard so much about it.
Um, I like it, and I would you would probably move.
I guess I would move Spencer Dinwiddie for that.
I don't think I've made it pretty clear that I don't love the fit of Caress and Spencer and Kyrie I just don't I just think that's too many guys that do similar things and don't do enough of opposite things.
So I do think there is a move to be made between those three guys.
And with that in mind, yeah, if it means an Aaron Gordon for Spencer Dinwiddie.
You know, I guess I would actually hope that Orlando would send something else.
But, you know, I have talked about this one quite a bit, and I still like it. Nothing's really changed.
Um, And it might be the fresh start that Aaron Gordon needs, or he might just not be that good there.
Teoh also had that thought.
The ferret on my face needs to go.
Is that young with my hair? What does that mean? Oh, no, that's not Ah, mustache reference.
I should have done a stream with a mustache.
That man, I dropped the ball there.
God, that thing was iconic and ugly.
Possible backup center When Jared Allen is gone.
Who? Rudy go bare.
Lucas, if you're still on, let me know.
You met? I just had to cut my hair.
Didn't cut in a year. Wait too long.
I might get a friend of mine.
So I have I don't have any clippers.
I have, um, like a razor for my dog.
And I might have to use that.
I guess I could just get a razor.
That would probably be the smart way to do that.
I think I would have to recruit a friend of, like, give me a haircut.
Biggs would likely it would be a sign and trade.
I don't I don't think the Nets would get him for the taxpaying Emily, which we don't know what that's gonna look like yet, because the cap will have an effect on that.
I can't see Katie at the five match up with big men in the east Coming off the Achilles.
I I'm not even I actually want to hear your reasoning for that because I also can I can see that argument, but I want to hear yours.
Lucas is a very smart basketball guy who is very good at this stuff.
So I want to hear that explanation.
Hey, man, I'll take a G to the nets over Koosman of the Nets.
Rumors, I fair point fair point, my friend.
Although Koosman kind of played well down the stretch and was defending a little bit more than like especially in those last couple of games, the one against trying every was the Bucks or the Clippers.
Honestly, the Bucks.
He had a really nice game.
I actually might go back and rewatched those Lakers clippers, um, and Bucks games.
I might even do that on this streaming channel.
I'm thinking about it because I want to see those again.
I saw bits and pieces of them, but I really, really, really.
Those were two really important games this year, and it's kind of a shame that the season shut down when it did, because the Lakers were getting like a crazy second wind.
So, yeah, I would say Koosman actually showed a little bit down the stretch.
But I don't know if he's, you know, a records, a very good defender.
Say what you want about him offensively.
He's a very good defender.
Kuzma is No, we're really close to that right now, but he's starting down like I feel like understand it a little bit like what his role is gonna be for the Lakers, and it's not gonna be the guy that's gonna get whatever 18 shots and get to do hook shots from wherever he wants.
That just not really what it's gonna look like for him, all right, possible targets.
Oh, you're saying OK, so Lucas is saying possible targets are going to back up center personally, and I've mentioned this before.
I think it's very crucial for a team that wants to go all the way to the finals, which I know the Nets obviously dio.
I think it's very important to have a many counters as possible for whatever matchup you may face in the East, because a lot of this does depend upon matchups.
So I would try to look at getting a stretch five I because I right now my biggest issue with what the Nets have right now with Jared Allen and D.
J, who I both think played well at different points in the season.
They do a little bit of the same things to a degree that concerns me.
So I would want to look at something or someone that brings a different skill to the table stretches.
Defense is you know you can play a little bit more five out ball versus just straight up pick and roll.
We're gonna hammer down lobs or kick outs against you.
I I just That entices me a little bit.
Um, and I I like that I like five out offenses.
I'm a sucker for it.
It's not because I like many people.
I was not into the three point movement, and now I'm like, I'm pretty into it now.
So though it can be a little bit overkill who's most overrated his first season? It's crazy thing about that now, Um, I don't member his first season All if I'm being honest.
I remember the summer league showing, but I e he was just a guy on a bad team.
I actually don't know why.
Call Kosmas. I mean, I get it. I get that.
He's kind of like a you could be a little corny.
I don't think I feel bad about saying that, but I don't think he's is terrible.
Some people make him out to be, and again, I do think he was getting it a little bit.
What people were expecting from him and what the Lakers are expecting from him.
I think the Bang with 2 £80 behemoth MB Gasol Thais Lopez Ibaka is going to be a tough ass from Katie.
The Nets might shell Katie from coming off an injury.
Yeah, I think again, it would just be in, like specific closing lineups, kind of in the way.
And it wouldn't even be like around one matchup or around to match up.
It might be like a conference finals thing or just a finals thing.
I mentioned that in passing before, and I should probably specify that that again, I don't want you like closing out with Katie at the five in a January game against whatever the Indiana Pacers, or even in round two against the Raptors or whoever they would might face, it would be more of like a again, the situation of like, you're in the finals.
You're playing the the Clippers.
They've gone Marcus Morris at the five.
I guess that I don't know if they have Marcus Morris next year.
He's a free agent, right? No, no, no.
I'm trying, Remember, he's Does he have an option next year? I need I need to check that when I got off.
But let's say it's the Clippers.
They have Marcus Morris at the five.
And that would be the time when I could see Katie playing a little bit of the five and doing that type of thing.
Can we get you the check mark on Twitter? Matt, I If you guys want to help me out, I wouldn't be mad.
But, uh, I don't know.
How does that even work? I haven't been on Twitter that long, so I don't know the whole logistics of that.
How How do you get a blue check? Mark? I don't know.
Is that just something you get if you get, like a really, you know, like, land a full time job? I don't.
Is that just you get there your first day at the desk? You've got a blue check sitting there like all right? Just Ah, this is yours Now.
Is that how that works? I don't know.
That was a stupid joke.
Fred says Myles Turner trade another one. I like Nice.
That's a good wood.
Another one I really, really like.
Because of the stretch and shot blocking, I really heat. There s a look.
So here's the thing.
There will be games where Nets Twitter will be pulling their hair out because he has games that are total duds like he'll have, like a five point game with, like, a block.
And he doesn't rebound exceptionally well for his size.
So there will be nice.
Like the way people killed Jared Allen.
I think Myles Turner would be very.
You might get a little bit of that, but I like the fit, man.
I think he's an interesting player.
Um, you know, at first I thought he was a little bit overrated.
Now I almost wonder if he's underrated.
The pendulum swung a little bit too far, I think, on him and again yet to think about where he's playing.
He's playing with a guy Sabonis, who is a center, and other guys that are, you know, that that are gonna be vying for minutes with him.
It's the best fit for him.
I think they make the most of playing him and Sabonis together just because he can stretch.
I think there are better destination for him.
Ibaka is so perfect for the steam.
I do love Ibaka on this team.
I really dio really, really doing on exceptional exceptional season.
I really like it.
Other options A G and Millsap.
Yeah, I was tossing around Millsap last year.
Actually soured on Millsap a little bit.
I shouldn't have, man.
I should have, you know, fully pulled the trigger on it.
I actually think remembering I'm trying, member.
Last summer, I might have been a little bit higher, and obviously they were gonna track different focus. No steps.
A free agent this summer, but, um, I was actually a little bit higher on Al Horford if I'm being honest of the two former Atlanta guys of him and Millsap.
Even though Millsap was great, I wrote stuff.
This is, I think, when I was writing for elite sports, New York actually wrote a couple of things about Millsap in the playoffs last year, watched a lot of that first round series against the Spurs and the 2nd 1 against the Trail Blazers, and I don't really know when it happened.
I just think the age thing freaked me out and it still freaks me out to a degree.
But Millsap is just so crafty that I just feel like he's gonna play till he's like, 39 be decently effective.
We need toughness.
Pacers void us inside with the bonus.
Alan needs muscle still deejay older.
You know, I I get that fear.
I don't Are you talking about next year? Because it next year the Pacers are gonna be? I think there are perennial like five seed, forcing, maybe, but five seed more likely, depending upon what all the Depo looks like and, by the way, get well soon to him.
Hope is, rehab continues to progress.
But But I will say with them, I think the talent would win out between them and the Nets. I get that.
It's probably not a great matchup, but that would be a huge upset man, you know, and that's the thing.
Like the Pacers can sweep them in the regular season, whatever, even with Kyrie and Katie.
But I just don't see the Indiana Pacers just based on a talent perspective alone, and just that the Nets can throw a bunch of things and, like play certain guys of theirs off the court, the I I just you know, the Nets again.
They could play this really interesting small ball alignment and and throw a bunch of things at them that, you know, as much as we want to play the well bacon ground and pound the Nets, well, the Nets can actually run a little bit of five out offense, depending upon who they sign and really run this Pacers team off the court.
I know they have some great perimeter defenders, but I you know, I think it goes both ways.
Thoughts on free agent DeRozan.
No, I'm not doing that.
No, I no, I I don't see any shape or form that DeRozan becomes a net.
I don't even know what it would look like.
I don't even know if I'd want him to start, which feels like a huge jab.
It a guy who is a perennial all star.
He actually a really nice year this year, but he doesn't solve any of the problems that the Nets have, which are defensive.
And, you know, and I guess the shooting aspect of it or I don't know, you just want somebody that's gonna play a little better off ball.
But I I just I don't think he fills any holes, and he doesn't do it for me.
I like him elsewhere, though.
I think there's a spot for him.
He's very good and had a great year.
Is I mean, if you look at his numbers like his isolation sets and the percentage that he was shooting for mid range and just again is overall, whatever you want to throw out through shooting or filgoal whatever you like, good numbers in a good year.
Moore says the option.
Yeah, because he signed that. What? That two year deal.
I forgot that Marcus Morris with Nick.
Okay, Yeah. Marcus Morris.
So he has an option.
Will probably pick that up.
Right? I would assume I feel like every guy with an option is probably gonna lean toward picking it up with this market.
Lucas says he's gonna want a real payday, but I give a kidney for Gallinari.
The Nets do not have the room to sign him, but Gallinari is sick, man.
He's one of those guys.
Like he can shoot it off a couple dribbles.
You can play him off ball.
He's an using fine defender, and I don't think he's by any means a total zero.
I love Gallinari, really dio.
He's finally like healthy ish.
There were just so many years where he just I think, because he lost so much time with that that, um, that you just never really got to see it.
But I'm trying to play catch up right now.
I totally agree with the starch. Five.
Kelly Olynyk is a free agent who that might be cheap enough to back of B J.
R. Kelly. Olynyk. Another weird one.
Um, hey, had a good year, right in Miami.
I feel like he had a pretty good year again in the limited time that I saw them.
But I like that one.
That's a good one.
Top third stars you'd want Whoa, top three put me on the spot.
Could I answer that after I'll circle back to that? I promise.
I want to get through a couple of these cause that when I need time on, the only problem is that these players air slight build.
We need toughness up front, not finesse.
I do agree they do need a little bit of thickness.
Oh, man, I do love gallop.
Before Katie had the Achilles it.
Oh, man, I do love Gallo at the four.
If Katie had both Achilles Katie at the three Gala, the four be amazing.
Not sure I want Katie playing the three because of the speed at that position.
Especially now, so many teams are gonna throw in little things like three guard lineups.
I mean, I guess you could just make that adjustment to if you're the Nets, but, um, but I actually think I'd rather see Katie at the four.
There just isn't a ton of talent at the four in the league right now.
I at least in my humble opinion, I know there are, like, the Paschal SIAC ums and the honest is of the world.
But, um, you know, I I mean, I guess there's a bunch of guys that kind of play 34 so doesn't really matter.
I just don't really know if I want Katie guarding smaller guys that are sprinting around screens and stuff like that in the same way that I don't know if I want Katie guarding big bruising, um, centers, which kind of points to the central issue issue, which I think there's a correlation here.
I don't think that there's no accident that I'm saying that for both of these things.
I don't know what Katie's gonna look like defensively next year.
I don't think any of us really dio And that's something you have to work around because in certain games you need a high Kyrie and it's not because of effort.
Anything is just a little bit smaller, and that's just the reality of it.
Like, you know, against the right match up. He looks great.
You can point to the 2015 Cavs Warriors finals.
Looks great there other other teams that have taller guards.
I don't love it.
I really, honestly don't.
So, you know, I'm a little worried about that.
That's the biggest thing I think other than health is gonna be figuring out.
Do you need to hide either these guys, Katie might come back 100% and 100%.
Katie is a good defender, so I don't want it to come off like that.
I just, you know, again, we just there's going to be I feel like there's gonna be some lost ground somewhere with him, and I would wonder if it would be on defense.
No one saw Horford's fall from this year coming.
He shouldn't be used as a power forward.
Yeah, listen to Zach Lowe, and I think, Who was that? Was that Hollinger? Zach Lowe has been doing some great stuff.
You haven't heard his Where the hell are we serious that he's doing on his podcast? It's been really, really good, but, um, I think they I want to see what's.
Hollinger said that actually, a lot of Horford's minutes were at the center position, so or for just kind of fell off this year.
I it isn't I was actually a little bit less of a positional thing, and just Horford wasn't that good.
Are the new coach.
Rumors True? Seems like it's just a loose rumor.
If you're talking about Gregg Popovich, I do like here in the jock von is getting a chance.
I made I tweeted something about that. I like that.
I mean, just sentimentally, it's nice that he is getting a real shot, and he's not just kind of getting played out and auditioning for another job.
I kind of like that, and I I'll be honest like some of the stuff that he said.
And in the three games that again, it's just three games, so a bunch of flutes can happen.
But, um, you know, I he's seems to get it.
I really like the communication aspect that he's tried to push.
I think the communication aspect is going to be huge because there are one.
There's a lot of different age groups on this team.
There's an old regime.
If you want to call it that with Jared Allen and Joe Harris and Spencer Dinwiddie and Care subvert.
And then there's a bunch of new guys, all of the I guess we could call this the Clean Sweep Crew, the clean sweep friend group that Garrett Temple is a part of.
Maybe Wilson Chandler is a part of, um, just It's a bunch of different age brackets, different groups and I think it's very essential to have somebody that can communicate with all of them.
That's not to say that Kenny didn't because I don't feel I don't feel like I have any room to say that.
But it's I just them saying It's a It's a nice thing that he's made communication a very big part of this and he's made it that since he really took the job.
That was one of the first things He said that he wanted communication to be a big, big thing that he was gonna push, and I think that's really important.
It's a huge part of having a championship team.
What if gallows your third star, you just hammer down the rest of the Ross for three years.
I mean, I like that idea.
There's only so many three and do you guys to go around, and this summer, I haven't I'll admit right something.
Right now, I haven't transitioned into offseason mode.
Once I really get there, I'm gonna like, look it like every little nitty gritty single person that's available is a free agent.
I haven't gotten into that stage it.
I'm still trying to focus On this year, I've been doing film studies and stuff on guys that are on the team.
I'll get there, do all that stuff with writing and streams and podcasts.
But just looking through it kind of a quick overview.
It's not like a ton of three in detail it Now.
Maybe you could get that in this draft, which I have heard good things about three Andy talent in terms of this draft class, and I have a guy picked out already.
I've actually had this guy picked out, Um, his name's hardwood.
Harold, if you guys have seen him before, you can even pull that up.
Let me see if I can pull that up.
I might be trying to do this too much on the fly, just typing.
Isn't this the worst thing that hear me hammer away on my computer? Harold? Yeah, his at is at hardwood.
Harold, He's awesome.
He does amazing, amazing draft videos on YouTube and stuff like that, a lot of good Twitter content as well, so I'm bringing him on.
Once we get closer to draft season, I always retweet his stuff.
So if you ever see his videos or draft videos that are being randomly retweeted by me, it's because I really like it stuff, and he's got a pretty good eye for a lot of this.
So, yeah, I go check him out.
This stuff is awesome.
Maybe all link is one of his videos and the description of this.
It's Joe Harris Sting, and I would hope so.
What's what's the What's the alternative? You know, it's not like you're gonna get somebody that shoots a high percentage from three and at least plays hard on defense and can do other things.
If he gets run off the line, he can score at the rim.
You could make plays occasionally.
I would really hope they don't move on I But I guess there's a price for everything, though.
It seems like Joe Size doing pretty well.
That was a lot of lightning for anybody that's in Brooklyn area.
Um, yeah, that I would hope so.
Fred, I got to give you my top three.
I'm on the clock with that.
D says I pause my show tow.
Worth it. I appreciate that, man.
Do you care for a LaMarcus Aldridge on the net.
I like another weird one that I'm really into.
Yeah, Like like a Because I think lamarcus is gonna be a really interesting not starter player.
But I kind of like him is like a backup bench.
45 He's not, you know, And he had a couple of years of, like, he never was an elite defender by any means, but he was certainly above average.
I think in one of those 1st 2 years, maybe I guess that second or even the third year one of those years.
He was a pretty decent defensively and had pretty good shot blocking numbers, you know, field goal percentage against in the painted area.
So I don't think he's that type of a defender anymore.
I would worry a little bit about that, but I kind of like him now that he's shooting threes.
It's pretty interesting, right? Yeah, I like that one.
That's a good sake.
All right, top three. I got to do this on the fly.
Um, all right, um, I doing guys that are available or just in general because I have a different list, I think for both.
All right, top three, top three.
I guess I'm gonna have to start with Ben Simmons because I've been dying on that hill since day one.
I went on a podcast with with a couple of days ago, and I talked about some of the potential options I mentioned Ben Simmons on there.
I'm still kind of dying on that hill.
Um, and I, uh, yes.
So I think I'm gonna include Ben Simmons.
And then I'm I kind of like what? Brad Beal on there just because he's actually realistic.
So I'm gonna go those two.
Although, I don't know if Brad Beal would be like, my top top tier option, but I feel like I need to be a little bit realistic, right? Gotta be.
So I gotta draw a line somewhere.
Ben Simmons would be probably, like a couple years down the line.
Maybe they're just, like, make a decision between him.
And indeed, I would probably keep Ben Simmons over.
But let's say they did that, I guess, for fun, I'm gonna throw him on their since again.
That's my brand at this point.
And what what's the last one? Which of my last one be, um, I to think about everywhere I want to pick somebody? That's an interesting option.
So I would pick like it either a four.
There's not a ton of, like star fours in the league, I guess, of five, although I don't think you really need a star five or two.
Tuesday is an interesting one.
I mean, I would if you really want to do what I would pick James Harden, but I feel like that's, um such a lame answer.
Like who wouldn't want James Harden on their team? I know people don't like James Harden, but you take that talent crab.
So maybe Jane started.
Let me throw Rudy Go pear on there.
I like the idea of Rudy Gobert there.
I'll just say it on here.
Yeah, he's a star level player.
Okay? All we could do Drew hauling it.
Little dude, we'll throw Drew holiday out there cause I think through audio is an interesting option.
Maybe not a star level player, but like a really like that top tier star level.
But, you know, he's a very interesting is about, as am close is you get to being a star, so he could be that, and I kind of went through to go bare on there. I like that one.
So I want to keep it sort of realistic, cause if I'm just throwing out names, you know? Oh, I like Paschal.
See, hawking for the Nets like that's not gonna happen.
So that's the ones I'll go with.
That will change.
I wouldn't necessarily, you know, make a deal right now.
Unless, of course, you do have an option to get somebody like a Brad Beal or Drew holiday.
Um, if you have that option, you obviously swing for it.
But, you know, you never know.
The MBA moves a 1,000,000 miles an hour.
Guy's voice, their displeasure all the time.
So, uh so, yeah, that would be I don't think you need to make a move, like, right right now.
And I would actually like to see Caris, Levert and Spencer Dinwiddie next to Kyrie and Katie.
Is that the worst thing to say? Oh, my goodness.
John, you got something? Niche names.
Seeing this Burton would be unrealistic. Amazing.
Can you imagine the audacity of having a lineup with Joe Harris and Davis Davis batons? Oh, my God.
That be offensive, man.
Oh, that would be so offensive.
I mean, who doesn't love Dobbs protons? You Did you catch that? Almost mispronounces name.
I'm telling you, man, it's an issue.
Love Danny Green would probably take something like Genuity trade.
I actually don't think so.
I mean, I think I don't know what Danny Green's market is.
Yeah, because I always thought really highly of Danny Green, but, you know, you hear about like, Riel.
You guys don't like us being like low and people like that they like, I think a lot of people like Danny Green a lot, but I don't know if he would cost, like, a dinner lady.
That actually might be a little bit of an over Pitt.
I feel like I just snubbed Danny Green.
I liked it. Agreed a lot.
I really like Justin Holiday.
Um, I didn't watch enough of him this year.
I don't want us.
I I hate doing the thing where you talk about somebody, and you act like, you know, a bunch about him.
And you actually don't know a thing because I've been guilty that before, and I just haven't watched enough of him, But I've heard very good things.
Give us your Eastern Conference in Western Conference match, and then you you got going in the row, Nable.
I shouldn't love of that.
Um, I have Boston and Milwaukee and then I have the L. A teams.
And then I have Clippers.
Milwaukee, go to the finals.
But I can get talking to Toronto just because they've had all this time off.
And I know everybody is gonna be healthy, but that would be my pick right now.
Have I talked about Pop? Yeah.
I don't think it's gonna be super realistic for them personally, but it's a fun idea to talk about, right? I got nothing better to do, Johannes.
It would not be great.
The honest is my third star for the Nets.
Fio is gone, so you can't mess it up.
Oh, you see, I got it.
Of course I get his name right Right when he you know, right when he signs of the team across the pond.
Classic, right? Course I start getting it right now.
Shout out, Theo! I got you. I finally did it.
It took what, two years for me to finally get that right. But I got it.
I think I've gotten everybody as usual.
I fall a little bit behind on these things, but I tryto answer everybody's questions.
This is a good one.
Um, I think I can.
I can tell the spirit of Nets. Twitter is.
It's it's rising a little bit.
I mean, I guess that happens when you have basketball coming back.
But this is fun, man.
I like feeling like we're talking about a sport that's actually potentially gonna come back.
And we're not just talking about this hypothetical game that we all once watched 2000 years ago.
I mean, it's it's it feels a little bit re alert.
So and you know, I am again like it's not like the Nets trading for 1/3 star stuff ever really died down, But I do feel like there's a little bit more excitement.
And, uh, you know, once we get into the tournament, it will be fun to talk about these games and do recaps.
I just, you know, again, I was thinking about this this last week.
I miss doing game recaps.
I miss talking about this stuff I miss, you know, having people in in the comments, whatever.
Hammer away all caps about how angry they are, whoever player.
I'm just that stuff, man.
I really dio just wait until the game start, Nets fans spirit will turn into doom and gloom.
Course they will.
I mean, let's be honest.
Even throughout all this, with no basketball, people are still finding ways to be mad at the Nets and be mad about everything and to call the franchise curse.
Uh, that never dies. Men.
Do you think you honest leaves? No, I think he stays.
That's a good question.
What up, Logan? Do we need to get on a pod soon? Yeah.
We need to flag weighed down.
Logan's one of my good friends.
Thank you for hopping on.
Um, do I think you're honest leaves, though No, I don't.
I will be interested to see what the cap implications of all this are.
I think a lot of teams have lost money and they're trying to recoup it, and they're going to lose a lot of money by having no fans there.
And that's inevitably going to affect the salary cap.
And I think there's going to be certain teams that were in the running like I'm looking at Miami, for example, that, um, that I don't think will be, but you can always make money move around.
And the guy you know, smart teams like Miami always find a way to get their guy.
They did that last summer with Jimmy Butler with you in cap jail cap.
Hell, but I would lean towards him standing right now, and I actually could see them winning it this year.
I've talked myself into them quite a bit, and, you know, just looking at some of these middle to numbers and stuff.
That guy was The guy was like a Paul George last year.
Maybe not as good as last year, but **** **** close to some of the Paul George years in terms of productivity relative to efficiency.
That's a hot take.
What is that? Minute 55 for me to drop the Paul George to Middleton comparison.
All right, Maddie, be Who do you think the next head coach of this team is invited to predict? I don't even know anymore.
I thought I had an idea.
I was I was doing the tile.
Ooh, thing for quite a while.
I'm waiting till the playoffs or done.
How about that? How about that For an answer, huh? How do you like that? Yeah, actually, I'm gonna wait till the end of the playoffs.
I want to see if anybody gets fired.
There always are.
I mean, you look out, Let me say this.
You have to be a riel *******.
Toe fire your coach And again, a lot of these coaches are like 40 and older.
You have to be a riel ******* to fire your coach after he goes down to the epicenter of Corona Virus.
After he goes down there with the basketball team to coach them.
If anybody gets fired, you best believe I will be the first person on Twitter.
You know, I won't be adding the, you know, tagging the organization.
But I'll be, Yeah, I'll be sub tweeting.
I'll be like, really gonna do that to somebody fire them after they put their potential life at risk for a frickin basketball tournament.
So I hope nobody loses their job, you know? But if that does happen, you never know who might come available.
I don't I don't want to give a concrete answer right now, but I'll just I hope Jack.
Jack von Alright, what's sick with Jacque Vaughn? I want to give him a chance.
Be honest, goes West.
Does players chasing rings go east? Oh, that's a good take, Jerry.
Who? I like that one.
Would that make sense? Although you have to go through the Nets, then that that everybody likes that.
Uh, another great fit I could see have happening.
Is Avery Bradley do Johnny D.
Coming in with these sweet role players.
That's a good one.
Yeah, I'd be very interested in Avery Bradley shot the three ball.
What? Like it around 35 ish, I think.
Still a really good point of attack defender, somebody that guards point guards really well.
Which is really good for a team with Kyrie Irving, who isn't always involved on that end of the floor and is a guy that defensive metrics perennially hate.
Even though I think he's probably a little bit better than those metrics.
He's still not means a great defender.
So, yeah, I do like that fit a lot.
That's a really good one.
That's a really, really good one and also cuts really well. Great cutter.
Logan, if you're in here, I know you can.
Ah, a test of that.
Is there any substance behind deal to Brooklyn.
Nothing concrete yet.
I would say there's just been a little too much murmuring a little too many, you know, little whispers from people on TV or in articles.
Um, and also those guys are just so flirty online.
I mean, I know N b A players.
They're all flirty with each other all the time.
But my goodness, it is It is scandalous.
What's going on on Instagram? It's being so the Nets and and Brad Veal.
Ah, So with all this happening, you think the era of super teams is over for a while now? I don't think so. Right.
If you're talking about like, big threes because you know the first team that's gonna get a big three, everybody's gonna be trying to match that.
So, no, I All it takes is one team for everybody to try to copy that.
Um, so that would be my answer.
It's just historically, it's what the what has worked.
And now I will say with how fast the league moves now.
And you know how much three point shooting there is.
And just how much you and the big difference is really how much you're moving around on defense.
You just have to close out two guys so much more aggressively.
I actually think there is a real argument to be made that maybe it is better to have a little bit more depth.
It is a little bit better toe.
Have a rotation that goes a little bit deeper versus having a big three just because of the load, the mileage that you're gonna put on guys bodies in playing this super fast cause look.
And again, it's different from like the what 19 fifties when they played fast.
You know, the Oscar Robertson days.
It's different than that because that's just going up.
In fact, you know, up and down as fast as possible.
I'm just trying to go to the rim.
This is a different like it's like lateral movements like you have guys cutting around screens.
You gotta figure out your way around off ball pics and stuff like that.
It's a different type of movement and I do think it takes a lot on guys bodies.
So I think there's a real argument to be made.
But right now I would say no thoughts on John Collins to Brooklyn at the trade deadline talks.
I actually have talked myself into John Collins a little bit more.
My biggest worry is on defense.
I don't know where he plays that is going to remain the case.
It's the reason I think that Atlanta was shopping him.
He's not quick enough to stay with other fours like, you know, in general, I'm looking at like the LeBron's and the Yohannes is, and he doesn't protect the rim well enough to be a five.
So I don't love the fit.
I worry about what it would cost, and I actually think you could probably keep those assets for something better.
But I think he's a very interesting, nice, better than nice could even be an all star player.
Um, yeah, he's just He's very interesting.
I got to get some water.
You know, Ibaka, like the Nets post on Instagram last week.
What was that? Ana was on the Nets clutch clutch points page, right, I believe, which, by the way, a shout out to them.
I'm working in directly with them.
If you ever go on clutch points, you might see my face on there.
If you ever do that um, I'll leave it at that.
Do some detective work if you want.
Yeah, I'm my streaming isn't just here.
I'm doing a couple other projects that I share here and there.
All right, I'm going to get a take off.
It's that three stars produces diminishing returns.
Who? Lou Kaplan.
Yeah, I As I said, I do think that the there is a little bit of net loss because A there's always gonna be one guy that's marginalized.
I don't care what team you have.
You look at the I mean, the Warriors are a rare example because Clay is the what the dopest teammate over the guy's awesome.
But you look at the Big three Chris Bosh.
You look at the Cavaliers with Kevin Love.
There's always a guy that has a lot to lose and loses a lot.
And I actually think there is a point that can be made that in having 1/3 star that's losing out on a lot of opportunities, you might be better suited to having a deeper rotation and again having more counters, having you know, a lower minute count for this Nets team who, by the way, should absolutely be resting at least one of their stars, if not both of their stars.
So I That's a very good point.
Another good role player I like for the Nets is D. J.
He played the ball ball with Katie twice in college.
I would have said that last year.
I did not have a good year this year.
And he's smaller.
And I think there is a pretty steep age curve with smaller point guards.
So but otherwise you had some killer absolutely killer, um, suggestions, John.
Hypothetical, Of course.
Would you take dream on on this Nessie, dude? Um, yeah, I would.
I've always rooted against Raymond, but I think if he was on a team that I you know, and I'm not like, as I said, a $1,000,000 amount of Nets fan, but I mean, look, man, you watch a team day in and day out, you end up at least partially.
You have certain moments where you're rooting for them.
I mean, again, you look, you just see these guys all the time.
Eventually, um, you know, you're gonna root for certain guys on the team and maybe even root for the team.
So for the Nets, it would be fun tohave dreamin on the team.
I think that would definitely change a lot of my perspective on him.
So hypothetically, Yeah, I would, um defensive numbers were decent on him this year.
Ah, and I actually like it is a spot for him.
Obviously, it won't happen because of the, uh, relationship to him in between heaven, Katie, but hypothetically, Yeah, but it won't happen.
Luke says k Kyrie and Katie can initiate all the offense.
Kay love got banished in the corner in Cleveland.
Yeah, So I think part of that also was that, um, que love and LeBron kind of preferred the same spots.
They both liked that, you know, that Basically the slot on the court, where there parked either on the right or I think a love was actually even a little bit more on that left wing.
That's where he initiated a lot of his offense that I remember again, as many of you know, watch the Timberwolves basketball in my life.
Him and Rubio, they'd run a lot of pick and roll from that.
That that left wing and because of that they would do, you know, like Rubio again. Really smart passer.
He'd either find him with, like, over the head passes or handoffs and k love really, really like to initiate all friends from there either by just popping the three in your face or by going to the basket or by, you know, sort of backing down guys.
So that was part of that.
Was that, um was that they just kind of like the same spots.
But I do agree with your point and as a whole, I feel like I just didn't answer that at all.
That's part of this, though, right? Trey Young to the clutch sports directing Trey Young to the Lakers for the post LeBron era.
Oh, yo, save that for the podcast.
Whoa! Wow. I don't know.
Is that Is that a thing? Or is that what Lakers soon's are discussing these days? I like that fit, man.
I maybe I have I just, like, missed a huge topic on Twitter or Instagram or something like that.
Why don't I actually deleted Instagram? So that's that might be where I missed that.
But, man, that's an interesting fit um three.
A really, really nice pick and roll play.
It's why they brought in Clint Capela.
So putting him with Anthony Davis, who was one of the better rollers in the lead.
That's I'm into that, And Anthony Davis can certainly cover up for some of those defensive mishaps that he has.
What do you think of getting Tristan Thompson signed in? If Allen gets traded, I like that right? You had a good year.
I again, I want somebody that's a little bit more of a shooter, Cause again, I just would be nice to have a stretch five.
It's not like it's not like a number one must have on the wish list, but I don't know, I kind of get into it.
He's a good player, and, like, if you can get him at a good cap, hold that. Yeah, right.
You take that home run swing 10 times out of 10 if you can get him on a good deal, Sure, but I could see him going somewhere else.
I could see him going to like the Clippers, maybe, or Boston would be an interesting one, although he's been rumored there forever and I just at this point, he's been rumored there for so long.
I don't think it's gonna happen.
Or Houston, if the small ball experiment goes haywire, he'd be a really, really good option.
Um, justice, somebody that you know could just give him a little bit of the presence on the boards and is a good defender.
For the most part, I like Katie getting I like getting a shooter.
But Katie is here.
So the shoulder shrug.
Again, Like I I think for the most part, Katie isn't really gonna be playing the five too much unless it's in, like, a final situation.
So, yeah, waited, buddy get paid from Sacramento.
Who? Well, who are you? Don't my body healed? Are you saying buddy like a different guy? But he healed is an interesting fit.
So my dream buddy healed fit is and I don't know how the hell the money would work.
I guess with the money, I would like to see him on Boston because they could use one more shooter.
So if you do a buddy healed and I've thrown this out here. There.
If you do a buddy healed for Gordon Hayward, swap I think the money would work on that.
And I like that one quite a bit.
Gordon Hayward is an expiring next year.
So if the Kings were like, Hey, you know we want to go, we would rather just go with Bogdanovich, the cheaper route who does most of what buddy Hell does.
And they wanted to trade heeled for an expiring like Gordon Hayward.
I, that's my favorite fake buddy.
He'll trade also like him on the Lakers to cause they could also use another shooter.
And he'd be that super interesting.
Um, sweet shooting, maybe even six.
Kind of that's going to do what J.
R. Smith. Well, what they're hoping J.
R. Smith and Dion waiters are gonna dio.
So that's a random one.
Hell to the Clippers are not Clippers to the Celtics or the Lakers.
I like that. Picture it.
How do you get buddy to play with Brown? And Tatum plays it? Yes, so you play Brown at the four Tatum at the fun.
You know what? You play Tatum at the four Brown at the three, because here's the problem right now, and it's not a huge issue for them.
I think they're gonna be fine.
But I think you could be better suited bringing in a shooter rather than just playing Gordon, Hayward, Brown and Tatum.
I think you can get away with that.
If you're bringing somebody like Buddy Healed who is not only, ah, high level catch and shoot guy, but like a **** near 40% pull up guy.
It's a really, really cool fit.
But I've just really like it.
And I think you can survive with that defensively, especially if you're and it might even solve a couple of the problems that they have, where they're like OK, like, what do we do about? You know, we have six guys that deserve to play down the stretch where you have Thais, I think who deserves to play in certain situations.
Brown Tatum, Gordon Hayward Um smart, who by not mentioned, Kemba Walker Duh.
I feel like it would make their rotations work a little bit better and actually make things make sense a little bit more.
Also, Kemba and buddy isn't exactly great on defense.
Yes, but you could see the nice part that you could do if you really want to get cheeky with it is you could run in alignment of Kemba buddy Marcus Smart, who was **** near, if not the best defender or guard perimeter defender in the league.
Brown and Tatum, you could even play Tatum at the five.
If you want to get especially crazy again if you're in the Eastern Conference finals.
So let me say, Sorry, I'm trying to catch up.
Also play with Kyrie.
So chemistry is there? Oh, yeah, with person Thompson like that Matt Celtics lineup next year of Camba, Buddy Jaylen Brown, J.
What? Ivanka is going to the Celtics That what's happening? A.
I think Thais does a **** **** good job and brings a lot of the things that he Baca does.
Obviously not even close to as good of a player.
But I think Tyce is a very good player. I would keep.
I would really try to retain him if I were the Celtics very multi positional and shoots decently.
He keeps you honest.
So, um, so I think that's a pretty interesting one.
Be park on the Celtics.
A real cheap option for the Nets is Andre Robertson.
I think Andre Robertson is personally shot to say it.
I don't know if I would want to take a flyer on Andre Robertson.
I liked Andre Robertson back in the day to I thought he was a just absolutely tremendous defender.
But do you guys air like you're killing it tonight? I just got a little Did that show up in my chat.
It said I got 100.
You guys see that on the screen? Ah, 100 messages today.
I feel like pooch over here.
Hold up. Grab my dog.
Yeah, man, you guys are killing it.
This is nuts, all right, What we see here also.
OK, so I read that one.
Now that all the depots in playing could his trade value be low enough for the Nets? I don't think that's gonna affect his trade value, Right? Maybe it will to his To a degree, I guess.
But I think everybody knew that that was a weird injury and a little unprecedented.
Speaking of Robertson, same injury.
So I don't think it would really change anybody's perspective on that.
Most teams have a medical team that's gonna if they don't like that injury or they don't like him getting that injury.
They've already had red flags on it, so I don't think I would move it too much.
And the other thing is, I think he realizes the Pacers probably aren't gonna win it all.
All right, talking about the Celtics, what do you think? It's semi.
Usually think you could be good in a train, Your senior? Yeah, I do, too.
I don't know why they don't play him a little bit more.
I The offense is an issue with him, and I think it always will be.
But, um, he's a really interesting defender, is just they threw him at.
Was it you honest that they threw him out and he, like, kinda was not kind of held his own thing? That's what I'm thinking of.
Iraq is going to the Nets if they could make the one that money work, Sure, but I'd be a little worried about the money.
I don't know, still feels a little bit like a dream like situation for him to take.
The Emily Bach is going to the Nets, all right, I just think there's no way back isn't on some Eastern Conference contender you know what's gonna happen is he's going to re sign in Toronto or something like that because they actually have a lot of cap room Watch that happen.
You know, he just takes the money.
They just they throat that they throw the bag at him and he's like, Yeah, I'll stay here.
He likes Toronto, could see that happening to.
And by the way, I think Toronto could be a contender next year.
Depending upon where.
See? Aacm advances.
And, you know, they have a couple of guys I got to figure out Fred VanVleet comes to mind, but I could see him staying there, too.
Alright, I get I caught up again.
How long am I doing this? Somebody tell me how many minutes this has been carrying Katie was a dream, so why not? Yeah, a good point.
Good point, Merrill.
We were talking about Julius Randle in D.
Angelo Russell and Tobias Harris is the ah, the dream scenario.
I do agree, Luke, Um, Toronto is a contender this year.
My one of my good friends, who, actually one of one of the one of the guys that I do this podcast with that I haven't done in a little while.
Uh, he picked Toronto as the Eastern Conference.
Actually, no. I think he picked Toronto. Go to the finals.
You're crazy, but I like the It was it wasn't It's not that crazy of a take.
I really think they could go to the finals.
Toronto team is scary, man.
They're so well coached in so many options defensively, I've actually talked myself into them a little bit more during the quarantine as a possible final steam.
Who wins the VanVleet sweepstakes? I'm thinking, Ah, broadband type deal.
Wow, I like that.
That's a good one.
Ah, yeah, I could see I mean a little bit different because there isn't as much money this summer.
The thing about Brogden is like there were just so many teams that are like, you know, like you take like Indiana, not necessarily a marquee destination for stars.
But they have the money for a star, and they're just like, you know what? Let's just throw the Baggett.
There are less teams like that this year.
Besides Beale, who's the story and one for the Nets.
Ben Simmons, Benson, Ryan Simmons.
You'll like that, Ben Simmons.
Realistic ones drew holiday.
And I said, Go there already.
I won't say go. Very good.
You have to stay dry.
Body actually could even get into Drew holiday A little bit more than Beale based on fit.
But I think you take the talent with Bill.
Get out! Good times Marcus saw is on the last year of his deal.
Ah, yeah, Another guy totally worth a look.
Totally worth even a vet Minimum is Marc Gasol.
Marc Gasol, even now, I mean, you still hear it again? Same podcasts I was listening to today, um, this waas him and art of its I think that's what Kevin Ornaments.
Um, he he And this is Mark.
This is Zach Lowe and an art of its We're talking about defensive teams, and they actually brought up Marc Gasol.
So Marc Gasol still got it.
And those guys know what they're talking about.
So, yeah, I could do Marc Gasol and yes, the great passer, as John said, And a guy that can stretch the floor a little bit.
Family getting a contract from the Knicks.
I don't hate that form.
Honestly, they need a point guard, right? They really need one.
It would be nice to have.
And he's a guy that can play off ball a little bit.
Right? So that's the perfect situation for R.
Kind of like that.
You know when people will clown on them.
People will climb on the Knicks for whatever they do it.
As much as I want to be like the guy, that's part of that.
You know, just being on the other side of this, I have to say like, there are moments where the Knicks get climb for things from like All right, we liquid Oh, no, man like don't they deserve that? Actually, kind of like Fred Vanvleet for them wouldn't be the worst thing.
It'll be, what, a three year deal.
It's not like they're gonna have the money to spend on anybody else.
That Anyways, I think we know at this point that they're not gonna get any stars until they change their culture.
Kind of similar to the way that the Nets did.
So yeah, man like, I don't hate it for him.
Good building book.
Don't look or what? Devin Booker for the Nets? Uh, yeah, I like I like Devin Booker, but I just don't know if he's gonna be available.
I don't know why they do that, Luke.
Thank you for hopping on, bro.
Next. Come up. Come again soon, man.
It was fun having you on.
Who's the best vet men? Bench roster for the Nets. I'm not.
I again give me I'll start doing that type of stuff and really, cause I don't know the free agency class well enough right now.
I'm not in that point of the year once you gotta let me transition over to that.
That's gonna be, um when his When his free agent.
This year, October October.
Matt will know everything you need to know about free agency.
I'm just trying to focus on the current team right now.
No, but I like that.
Ah, that that Marcus Sulfite.
That's a cool one, right? I'll be hanging banners for them if they get Fred fitfully.
The photo South King. Yes. Please do.
What's up, Dylan? I'm Yeah, I'm good, man. I'm good.
This streams gone long is held today in the best way possible.
So I'm part of my voice is almost gone.
This is, uh, who's the prospect you want the Nets to look at for their first this year.
Not the guy to ask about that.
Don't watch college really at all.
And I would much rather outsource and bring somebody else on that knows what they're talking about.
And I as I mentioned earlier in the stream, I have somebody picked out.
Shout out my guy Hardwood! Harold, I'm gonna bring him on.
He's a just killer draft guy.
We're gonna do some options for the for the Nets first round pick, so subscribe to this channel described in my periscope.
Get updated when I'm doing stuff Big boss.
So when the games start, will you be doing these streams? I e yes, love this.
Love your content and talking.
I'm happy, My ****.
My talking is good.
That would be a problem.
Write a few words from the worst talker ever.
I just can't get through a sentence.
I appreciate that, man.
That's very nice of you to say, Yeah, they will be.
So I do post games once, you know, because again, we got Pooch doing the written post games for Nets daily.
So that's my time to shine.
I do the periscope stream stuff when when the games were going on.
So yes, after games, I do, you know, streams related to the games.
I talked about the main points of the games.
I talk about key players and then we just go into this type of stuff.
Usually it will turn into, you know, whatever.
Aaron Gordon to the Nets.
It's usually where this goes.
So yeah, but thank you.
And I appreciate you for tuning in and asking questions.
And it's been fun hanging out.
First time I've hopped on one of your streams.
Let's talk more soon, my guy.
Yeah, dude, Um, my Diem's air open.
I'm always down to collaborates and do different things and and just work on things together.
So hit me up, DME.
They're always open.
I'm pretty good about responding.
And if I'm bad about responding, I get back to you and I apologize over and over and over about it, but yes, hit me up. I will.
I will get back to you.
His talking is good until he tries to say Theo Pinson Yeah, I don't know how to pronounce names, but outside of that, I I can ramble on about just about anything.
It's a real skill.
Or maybe it isn't.
What do you think about No.
One's guy, Justin Anderson? Talk a little bit about him earlier I and not super high on him.
I am high on the opportunity that he's gonna have, and it all comes down to if he can hit the three.
So if he hits the three well, he'll have 30 teams in the league chasing him.
I really mean that.
Like if he hits the three well enough during this Orlando tournament, and maybe it isn't a big enough sample, but you know, if he's able to keep defense, is honest and played hard nosed defense.
It's a very desirable player, really is.
Who do you think replaces deejay in Orlando? Do you and D.
Augustine, the biggest D.
Augustine Finn, you know, and also I can't make fun of you for that, because I talked endlessly about D.
Augustine after he hit that dagger three in Game one of that first round Siri's last year.
I was like I was over the moon about D.
J. Augustine that just I didn't.
It was a great year for him.
Let's say folks, right, let's I don't know.
False is a little bit like Wiggins, where he's just he has the ability to rise up and speed past guys in that way where he's always gonna be an enticing player for me personally.
Because I got to say I have a little bit of wing in stock.
I dio I just have a little bit of Wigan stock.
And, uh, so he's gonna be one of those guys because of his gifts.
DeAndre, Jordan B J and Orderly.
Oh, my God. I get it.
I just went on for 15 minutes about Tice Augustine.
I gotta get all student fried.
Uh, DeAndre, Jordan.
Chris did a good job.
I I could get into Egg boo can get into him.
Yeah, I got it. I'm an idiot.
Yeah, I know that one.
Uh, dumb blonde moment. Yeah.
So I I like I could even do a little Dragan Bender.
That would be a fun one.
I can get into that a little bit, But at one of the to Long Island nets, center.
Seemed like a good were the look, you know.
All right, I'm taking three more questions.
Always do this and then I get zero questions.
So I hate doing that game, because when I'm just sitting there for, like, 10 minutes, just looking like a loser has no one asked questions, but I'm gonna say three more.
See? Look, you know that, uh, three questions.
I asked last time.
Was it, um which would you ask me? Ask you to do it again? Because I didn't see it.
I do it every time you do it.
Every time I asked somebody, I say three questions.
Let all right. Two questions.
We work down till I get none.
This is a good one today.
I want to see how long this is.
It's funny I did these two other streams, I think I might have doubled them are like, Well, I definitely doubled him, but I bet this stream is longer than those to put together out of 45.
And a 30 minute stream yesterday like this has got to be what an hour and 1/2.
I mean, I feel like I've been doing this forever.
An hour and 1/2.
It were one question.
This is now. Yes.
Uh, does an n B a championship finals? M v p.
This season, Change the goat debate for LeBron at all? No, because there's an Asterix.
I'm just saying that because you're a Lakers fan, but I actually don't think it does.
Maybe it does now.
I don't want to give you that. No, it doesn't.
After that whole last dance propaganda, there's no way people are going to sway the goat debate.
There is no way, you know.
Sean says he can't get big questions with the pressure of thinking on one.
Yeah, that's like when you're, uh, I I sound what? This is going to sound really washed.
I'm not a sound old, but it's like wearing when you're in school and, uh, the teacher professor is like, so, like, any questions on today's lesson.
And everybody just sits there with their hands, you know, under there under their legs.
Even though I think you know, it doesn't matter how many questions the group may have.
That's what's going on here.
Do you think Katie can go longer? Uh, then his contract and play another two plus years of the Nets? I don't, uh who I don't know if I even want to answer that.
Are you saying like, injury wiser? Do you think? Are you saying will he leave? And God, I really got to think about that.
I would say I would say the Nets have two years to make this happen personally.
That's That's just me.
Kind of like speculating with how much guys move around in the league, I would bet probably more on this window of Kyrie and Katie being whatever two years just because it get guys move around a lot.
All right, I was logged off for a minute.
She may have answered this best fit for D book going forward.
Best fit right? I got to be a young, another young team.
That's a good one.
What about the Sixers nugget? The Sixers? They need a shooter.
They need a creator.
They need to go to Guy.
Let's throw him on the Sixers with them beat and Simmons.
So, yeah, that's my final answer.
Look at this dog staring in the corner where she big our month.
What you looking at? All right, side up.
I'll leave it on that note.
Devin Booker to the Sixers.
You can write it in now.
Thank you, everybody for hopping on.
I appreciate you all Thank you, Bruce, for coming on for the last two seconds of this.
You picked a great time.
And, uh, I will see you guys next time.
I'm gonna be trying to do this once a week.
He's an maze Air fun.
I think it's a good way to stay connected with you guys and take questions and just hang out.
I like doing this a lot with all of you guys here on on its twitter and everywhere else that people are finding me.
So yeah, Thank you all.
Have a great night.
I'm gonna go clean my house more and scrub things, and that's it.
