Okay, once again.
Walk into the sports talk with care with our show for, um um Right.
We're going over to Jesus.
Headlines here on SportsCenter, Gasser.
And also on, um, you two today.
So we are on YouTube and, um um, SportsCastrs we will be doing our today's headlines.
Also, we'll have interviews with, um, Darius Miller and also JJ Red****.
We will have those up in just a second.
So once again, thanks for joining us here.
Um, afternoon edition of sports talk.
Well, but this end No, give me one second to set it up.
Okay, let's go ahead and I'll put the invitation.
Then we'll set you up here on on.
Sports Star had set that up.
Give me just a second to switch it.
We're not getting a switch over.
Okay, We have that set up.
Also, we will set up on on YouTube this well, so we get this set up, some going so once again, Thanks for joining us.
Let's begin with today's interviews will have Darius Miller and also JJ Red****.
So we will be doing that today for you.
We're on on live, so Let's go ahead and switch this out.
Let me go ahead and switch it over to, um okay, we'll start with JD Erratic first.
That will do Darius Miller.
And just a second.
Must begin our allowing us Use our to express ourselves and speak out, Uh, and be advocates.
I think it's great.
You know, we're gonna ask you start before eventually help on our charities.
Secondly, I think more importantly, league union players, we're actually trying to create policy change and the best black communities, real dogs.
That's gonna happen over the course Any number of years Gonna not be, uh, quick changes be incremental.
I think that second piece is more important than having the ability to write something back.
Assistant has obviously relieved to change some of the the way that we portray the way that we talk about way that we treat people.
But the system itself, these change.
So I think that's more important Piece for our league is how do we How do we help in creating systemic change? Oh, a J. J.
Christian Clark with Milady icom going into this campus will require everybody to be away from their families for five weeks.
Not easy for anybody, particularly people with young Children.
Was this a difficult decision for you to make? Not really.
Um I feel like I have a responsibility to my team.
I feel like I have a responsibility to the league.
I feel like I have a responsibility to, uh the younger guys who are trying to, uh, earned their livelihoods.
I mean, I knew that if we were gonna play as a league, I was gonna play no, there.
The only part that was difficult waas it is, uh, is navigating.
Um, you know, what we're doing in regards to black lives matter in regards to social justice movement.
That's that's mawr of the thought processes.
How are we doing? You know, uh, doing things there in regards to my family.
It's no more than five weeks.
It's It's two weeks here in New Orleans.
It's five weeks.
Six weeks in Orlando, potentially eight, essentially 10.
You started adding it up and you're looking at two or three months, uh, no contact with, you know, your kids and your wife.
So it's, uh that's a very emotionally daunting thought is to just be away that long.
Uh, this is well, Guillory from the athletic.
We've heard you speak about the black lives, matter, movement and all those difference office a lot on your podcasts and social media.
Why do you feel the responsibility to speak up? Almost topics as much as you have a smudge passion, if you have a few weeks.
Um, I would say first ball.
I don't think it's just been the last few weeks.
Um, I have felt like a lot of people more.
Ah, a need in a poll, um, to speak up.
Um, since George Lloyd was murdered.
But this is not something that's, like new for me.
I don't I don't think it's new for me.
And, you know, a lot of the stuff that you know Chelsea and I have done in the past is not in public.
And that's what intentional.
Um, so I think, you know, in trying to listen, uh, especially listen to black voices.
You you have to figure out, you know where you should step aside and where you should speak up and where you should act.
And we're all figuring that out in real time.
Um, but, you know, just having the basic human emotion of empathy.
I think it's very easy to say.
All right, I need to I need to speak up.
I need toe after him to help.
I need to listen, whatever it may be, um, some of it is just that.
Having it, they must go ahead.
I'm just curious about the ah, the players coalition you guys formed with Mario Alonso.
How did that come about? You know, how did that discussion start? And what do I guess? Your plans for that? Ah, organization moving forward? Yeah.
So, uh, I see it all happened pretty quickly, Miss Benson.
Uh, and exactly from the same since the *** elegant sort of took the lead and sort of getting this together.
And they just asked a few players that we wanted to be a part of this.
Obviously, it's It's an open invite.
Ready? Player wants toe help.
Um, you've had, ah, number of email exchanges.
Um, we we just have, uh, you know, the last few days got sort of a timeline of what? It looks like the next, uh, basically two months in us trying to figure out.
Um, uh, action plans.
Uh, so again, we're in the initial stages of this, and we're trying to figure out what exactly you want to focus on specifically in New Orleans and Louisiana.
How we can help change Android.
Um, two questions for you, Uh, one How much of the mental preparation for, um, Orlando or the bubblies? Figure out what to do with non basketball time in filling the day on.
Kind of what hot.
What sort of your plan for that? And then I then secondly, we saw that picture of Zion yesterday is an Internet connoisseur.
I'm sure you saw that photo is Well, what do you expect from him? Uh, in this people, uh, first question for me.
Personally, I think I think it would be a lot of cool time.
Open the non game days that we don't have that typical to three o'clock, 30 minutes under storm that we always get in central Florida.
Um, open for clear skies.
Um, you know, in the last few summers, July and August of all of that, I've always been about getting a great tan in the Hamptons.
So this year, now it's gonna be trying to get a great family? Um, no.
In all seriousness, I plan on bringing it's on the books down there.
I'll be doing my podcast down there.
I play a little golf.
Um, definitely gonna try to catch up with some of the some of the guys around the league that I don't get to see as much as I like in regards to die on, uh, the expectation is that he's gonna sort of pick up where he left off.
Um, key for him is his body and just being in shape.
And, um, as you saw yesterday, it was all over my He looks he looks fantastic.
Luck with the dam.
I've been rooming.
I've actually been rooming with True since I've been back are least on the Iran through the school year, so I don't have a place to stay.
So I was living with through.
And so I've gotten, like, two days so far out, out.
So we're getting the base that they stand down before Lent.
Let's go ahead, J.
It seems like a world ago when it was media day in in our paraphrase here.
When you say you told Xai on.
Don't act it up for me regarding the playoffs, so much has changed, and obviously, that was a moment of levity.
But how important is that for you to continue that street? Even in a situation like this resuming season and knowing there are other bigger factors at play? Why, when we discussed this as a team, what we wanted dio whether we won't play what that would look like, I made it very clear my playoff Street was indignant in the grand scheme picks tonight.
But I truly mean that, Um, I feel like this entire season **** this entire year has an asterisk asterisk next to it and, uh, you know, way make the playoffs or we don't make the playoffs like I will.
I will be a piece either way.
Having said that, we're obviously going down with the attention of making the playoffs.
Uh, I think so much Orlando and the results in Orlando will be about who wants the actually being there.
And I feel really good about the mental makeup of our Jay.
We haven't heard anything from the league about whether Alban will be allowed to coach or not.
He said the other day wants to coach and he's planning on coaching.
You have an opinion about whether the league should allow him to be inside the bubble.
That is way above my pay grade.
I have no opinion.
I would just say that health matters most, and any decisions should be based on that.
Well, if I could ask you a follow, could you talk about how Alvin and his personality has sort of worked for this young team with what is special about Alvin in connection to a teen this young? You know, I think a lot of it is just his personality.
He's he's fairly even keel that he's it doesn't get too high, doesn't get too low, and he's been around the N B a long enough to understand.
You know, you're gonna hit some rough patches.
Um, one of the most remarkable things about our season.
That way we have this 13 game losing, and in the middle of that losing strength when typically guys and be pointing fingers, coaches be playing fingers.
Um, it seemed to me like it was more about let's all put our heads together and problems albums.
Obviously before that, leaders amongst the players was a big part of that.
Are coaching staffs are that Griffin Trading Were a part of that Everybody.
Everybody wanted to solve the problem together, as opposed to Let's blame this guy or let's play this guy.
It's one of the reasons that you know, after that losing streak, we've had a way.
Had a really good, really good run and some big ones.
What have you seen from that steam in terms of the growth and chemistry as the season has continued? And how quickly do you think you guys could get back to the group you were in when the season was called? I can't answer that question.
I have, like, no one really knows what any team Ah, the layoff or the break or whatever you want to call it from mid March.
Up until basically July 10 not, you know, playing basketball.
Real basketball is significant.
Um, not having proper training, not really being able to access, uh, you know, great food all the time, like all these things, all these things that we've become so accustomed to and we're blessed to have thes thes resource is they're just They just haven't been there, you know, for Archie, I have no idea.
We can't even like we're here at the practice facility.
I don't see half my team when I come in.
I don't know if you guys understand that I come in in the morning with the morning group and I see half my team.
I don't see Brandon Alonso, so I think July 10th will start practicing.
You probably ask me that.
What about where you guys were the when it stopped? How did you feel about where you had gotten that when we were in striking distance? You know of the eight seed? Uh, no, like, G definitely had momentum there, but again, it seemed like every time people would sort of how Memphis out one out.
I know these these teams with would make a run.
So we're one of, ah, a handful of teams there that have a chance.
Hey, Sam. Thanks for joining this man.
Of course. Thanks for having me, guys.
It is It is well from the athletic again.
I know you said on your podcast that you are waiting to lose some weight during the shutdown.
Just how are you feeling now? Compared to before the shutdown.
And I know you were dealing with a hamstring before the shutdown.
How is that? Yeah, I know that hamstring.
I was basically clear.
Just start moving and shooting the day I left New Orleans.
That was exactly three weeks.
Um, so I was able to train, had access to a gym e.
I waited yesterday.
Two days ago when they waited 71 93.
So I was usually around 20 or two oo five deceivers.
I lost over £10.
That was intentional, by the way.
I wanted to get back to my do playing.
Wait, Um but, uh, yeah, I feel that a lot of help.
You feel good? Uh, all right.
Don't know if you guys know I just turned 36 So you know that it starts to hit a little different.
Should get older, but I feel good.
Today it's ah, Andrew from ESPN.
You talked about not having all of those things you're accustomed to as an MBA player.
How important was it for you and for other players to get your own work in a separate gyms and things like that.
As you were starting to ramp this process back up.
Yeah, I think it was really important.
You know, there was talk a bunch of different guys on my team, guys around the league.
I think everybody sort of went through those three months a little bit differently.
Um, I feel like for me, I never really shut off.
And some of that was because I was coming off an injury.
So I I went up to New York and I quarantine for you know, that 10 to 14 days, period when I got back, Jim, pretty much just on the court, six days a week for three months.
And, you know, I talked about Resource is you know, I couldn't so I could train with my trainer.
Uh, you know, So he was sending me workouts.
I was trying to fit it in where I I got really adept, uh, using a slow cooker.
Um, so that I had sort of, you know, uh, meal prep.
Done beginning of every weeks by my normal sort of them nutrients in uh, but every guy sort of is different.
I know some guys actually took time off and sort of used this as a vacation.
Um, I feel like for me, I just I never really meant to be checked out.
She's been one long.
Most are break, I guess.
Actually, it's a terrible I should.
That's a terrible ****ogy because normally during All Star break 130,000 people don't die.
But it just for me mentally, he's, you know, in regards to see that I just never, ever shut off Hormel's great that it's going to be the case.
Molly Andrews of ESPN, Jay talking to Avery Bradley and other folks players have said that it took a little while to figure out not just We want support from the league, but what are the actual tangible riel, Um, measures that we want teams in the league take in order to continue to support social justice, causes black lives matter.
So I'm curious for you.
What was the process of figuring out not just say you care, but this is the things that we actually want and need to see and presenting that Yeah, So I assume you're talking about sort of that group of players that was on those two phone calls is that like, generally speaking, there's, ah, a collective sentiments you want lower her, but there disconnect when it comes to what that means.
And what those tangible actions? Sure.
So I was not on the first ball.
I was on the second ball.
I know maybe some of you in the media where I'm that all is.
Well, it seemed like guys were being quoted verbatim.
Um, so I was on the second call in between those two calls, I actually got notes from the first day I reached out, guys got notes for the first call, and it was apparent right away that these tangible things that you were talking about were not only important, but more than reasonable.
Um, I think that was it was really key for, um I would say everybody that the league and the players union that we sort of joined together and figured out a way to take action in regards to specifics and what is being presented to league What league is coming back with again? I'm not in those discussions I do know for a fact they're happening.
And there are things in motion.
Um, you know, again, uh, is there is not something that's gonna just happen over night.
And, you know, the money has to be there, not that simple process.
Once the money is there, you know the board, whoever is on the board and understandings, there'll be a mix of players on the board as well as executives and owners.
We'll figure out where that money gets allocated amongst grassroots organizations and in certain black communities.
Um, but I know the league is actively taking steps that a lot of players wanted.
And, you know, I I never wanted men back group of guys taking leadership on that.
Um, I think he was phenomenal.
And I believe for listening and moving in that direction.
Yeah, I think so.
I didn't really give this I more specific question.
That was for a while.
It seemed like there was just intimated.
We want something happened, but we don't know what we want to happen.
So how did you go from wanting? Something is very ***ue.
Something to wear.
It's just what was something? Yes, that Z that I get saying That's probably a question that I can answer.
Um, I think you are.
I know are, I know because I've talked all of simple.
Our leadership at the union is on this, and they have been much more specific in terms of what it is we want in a No.
Pirie has been a part of that, too, not just on the executive committee, but also in separate conversations he's had with people around the league.
So I know he's taken action on that as well. But there there are.
But there have been specifics.
But I think enough guys felt like people report a year and J.
J Rod walking with The Advocate just as a as a shooter.
How differently do you think it would be just playing in the gym without fans? And And just where do you find the energy as a team without fans there, there's gonna be a lot of interesting some plots to this experience in Orlando for me.
I think that most interesting will be playing the A game with no fans.
I think it's gonna be very surreal and almost eerie.
Um, it could provide a very unique viewing experience on elevator? I'm not sure, but, um, I will say.
And I played in those arenas on those on those ports before in a you and I, and one got double national championships down there in Orlando.
So I feel like, you know, comfortable playing playing there.
Um, but it will be It will be surreal.
All right, Sam, go ahead.
And this is gonna be the last question, guys.
J J great to see you.
Um, the last time I saw you, we were in that hallway at the Golden One center, and we said briefly that, you know, I remember asking you if if this was gonna be a rap on the season and like a lot of people, you thought it probably was gonna be I wonder now, how surprised are you? Not only that, we're restarting, but what has transpired.
What the league is trying to build.
And within that and where is your comfort level in the functionality of all of this? As you head into this, I had a strange new world.
Yeah, Um, so like a lot of people that, you know, it seemed like especially the first couple months.
There were we're really good days of of hope and optimism not just regards having Caesar, but regards Toe Cove in, um, in There were days where you just go down.
That sort of feeling of despair.
Um, we started seeing that momentum that we were gonna maybe play.
You know, it seemed like we had had bent the curve. Billie bet.
And then all of a sudden, you know, George Floyd gets murdered.
Uh, Rianna Taylor was murdered.
The shape of a model robbery comes out.
So now we're dealing with this, and we're still trying to figure out the logistics of playing.
And then this second wave has hit for Cody.
So to say that we have, like, any sort of comfort level would be a lot.
There is no comfort level, right? We're not with our families.
Our homes were isolated in a bubble in the middle of a hot spot in the middle of floor, while their social unrest going on the country.
And we're three months away or potentially the most important election in our life.
So there's all that going on now we have to figure out a way to perform and play basketball that because I do believe it is the right thing to go and play.
But there is absolutely no comfort.
And I know the league.
And I know the union has tried to create this environment, and and I get it.
But there's so much else going on right now, we're just We're gonna go play where to do our best.
But we realize there's so much, so many more important things.
Well said, Thank you so much, JJ, Guys.
Okay, I will say this about Jackie.
Erratic. I'll be honest with you.
He's taking this song.
This situation would be on a Corona virus and the social ingress in the country.
Um, very well, but the truth of the matter is, like he said, there is no comfort level.
Um I mean, wait, where you gonna find comfort level? You ain't gonna find it anywhere.
Now we're facing We're in uncharted waters right now.
We're absolutely an uncharted Waters.
So, um, I look at it this way.
I hope the pelicans do make the playoffs.
I really hope they do, but if they don't there, they're gonna Devon, um, like I said they're gonna represent on setting real well in Orlando.
I think they will.
So, once again, this is for my JJ.
Red**** will have Darius Miller in just a second.
So we switch it over to ah Garris Miller.
So we're gonna, um, listen to his talking to the media, so go ahead and play.
This fire began with Doris Mera.
Save up your hair.
Same have been here.
It's like you can't hear.
It looks like you got it.
Looks like rain got a bead on him.
Looks like when you got a fee.
So once again, we're apologized.
We can't get there a smell of, um, a lot of strings.
So once again, we apologize for that.
So I know it's a low sounds a little while we can hear it.
So once again, we will.
Um Well, we will.
We'll move along with news headlines here on on this Friday.
Let's go over to check the whole first us begin break it down.
Technical articles that still ahead and do that you're a non sports offer. Carry my show.

Uh, let's go over some check the whole articles I was began Eastern Conference players to watch out for so that some going into the 2020 restart the MBA season.
So this players is, um, to look out for this is from a beer Scheller as, um C h a W um l a.
That's his articles so you can follow him.
He's talking about eight players to watch out for Dante.
That's one of them.
Marc Gasol as one of them.
Also Andre Iguodala.
That's one of them.
Erin Holiday that some He's with the Pacers.
Not on Drew Holiday Aaron Holiday.
I would be on also Al Horford Quit.
Um um he filled out 70 Sixers and, um, careless Liberte, Joe Harris and, um, General Allen.
That's one says, um, more Keogh.
Um, a few lists.
That's f u l T Z.
He's with Orlando.
That's not a guy to look out for going into the shebang. Anapa.
Um, also So once again, I visa from check.
The whole sportscasts are related writers.
So please follow these guys as, um humanly possible.
Is is as you can, they'll appreciate it.
Okay, let's go over to, um you step, um, Masters.
If you step Masters East.
One of our SportsCastr guys talking about efforts to show it in the preseason, I think they should sort a preseason from 42 because that's just Teoh too many games.
And it takes too long to find out who's gonna be on the team and stuff like that.
So I look at it this way.
I think it's absolutely necessary that they short in the preseason.
I from like I said, imported to because half of those players that trying to make roster spots won't make it on that team.
So I think to be honest with you, maybe next year if they if the Corona virus columns down stuff like that, maybe don't probably go back to the young four game format in preseason.
But right now I don't think they will.
So, once again, this is from, um you step us yo as Joosep Masters follow him.
Um um uh, sports cancer.
So we will move along with another check the whole headlines and must over to jack more than Jack Morgan.
It's whip on golden hour.
Those guys hijacked more than and I drew on style.
I follow those guys.
They talking about MBA likely to have a second bubble in Chicago, so it's most likely gonna happen.
So that will be another on bubble coming up or D on non, um, playoff teams for, um, we'll show up.
So that's most likely gonna happen.
So that's just what's gonna happen now in Orlando.
This is gonna be the first bubble, Some of the teams that they're gonna be in the playoffs.
I will most likely stay in Orlando.
But the second bubble will be in Chicago.
So So, once again, this is from Jack.
More than follow him at Dover in our sports is going our sports.
Okay, what else will talk about, Um Okay, um PGA Tour rocket mortar.
Classic recap Round one.
This is from Calvin K.
Follow him as well.
Eso he's got his recap of stuff like that.
This came out yesterday on July 2nd.
So follow on this young man again.

So that some good news right there for the Los Angeles Kings, Some fan base and stuff like that.
So please follow Grant bloodies with, um um, all sports talk.
He also does his own sports talk show, which is, um, like the sports own file on him there.
So please, on give your Patronus City some young individuals.
Okay, what else we're gonna talk about? Okay, what's going toe I six element this last but not least, I think element I'm playing fantasy sports on statement games is a great way to spend, um, your quality time with your family.
So unless less Ah, a couple of weeks ago, we had him on our show, and they gave us some great information about a statement game.
So please give them your patronage, because they really there.
They're part of the SportsCastr, um, partnership that we have with SportsCastr.
So I think it's Ah, excellent way to, um, um, get back and stuff like that.
So, um, so statement games was launched back in 2017.
Um, that's a fantasy.
Um, uh, sports, um, citing stuff like that.
So, um, please give him your, um, once again, please give him your patronage.
Probably most likely we'll have him back from the show again in the near future.
Will most likely will do that.
Um, we'll have a meeting on fantasy baseball or, um, or fantasy football's.
So we'll probably will have him.
Um, so once again, this is what they're talking about.
Here, Um uh, 10 on statement.
Go bare as over 11.
Damien Lil it 16.5.
Portland Trail places three point shooting over 25.5%.
That's what they're discussing.
Also, um, point statement.
Um, yes, um, in the over 52 points.
Also number six, um, Portland.
I will not win over 4.5.
Also, Rudy go bare under 12.5.
Donovan Mitchell under 16.5.
Also Hassan Whiteside, 11.5.
And also Portland Trail places getting 4.
5 blocks and also number one Portland Trail Blazers under 56 points.
So that is, um, once again, please follow.
These are youngsters right here.
These this is the best of the best.
Okay, let's go over some more.
Um, check the whole articles.
This is from July 1st.
Uh, this is MLB is back.
Um, MLB returns on the life force with many camps.
So many camp will begin as we speak.
Um, he opened a day will begin on July 23rd.
That's a couple of weeks away.
So it's where a couple weeks away from baseball season.
I just, um, getting ready to start, So I think so.
That's good news.
But hopefully that could do it in the safe, efficient manner.
So once again follow.
Um uh, uh. Travelers.
So I'm saying this name.
Right. Follow him.
Um um um a SportsCastr e hey, does his own show to a swell.
So we all got shows here.
Okay, let's break down.
And now a l east predictions.
So this is, um, Roy.
This is from put Riley follow him at, um um, So these are your predictions right? Here.
They have the New York Yankees.
Um 41 19 and also 42 19 going into the last couple of weeks of the season.
So 42 19 most likely be the young.
So now really for them now, Tampa Bay Rays.
What he wanted. 20.
Any? Also, the Boston Red Sox, 31 29 most likely will finished.
I went 31 wins and 29 losses.
Also, that's around Blue Jays at 27 33.
So it's another also the Baltimore Orioles at 18 42.
Um, the Atlanta Braves a 41 19.
So most likely will happen with the Atlanta Braves.
Um, next one is the Phillies at 32 28.
So probably gonna be a common denominator for **** for um, Philadelphia.
Now the New York Mets 31 29 Way do.
Um, um, get that record of 31.
29 are pretty short.
It will there be voting up or the future? So I think they'll be 31 29.
Also the Washington Nationals, 28 32.
Probably gonna finish that, Um, in that, um, insanity Right there.
Also, Miami Molins, 35 25 on the season.
Probably most likely will happen because they haven't been a relevant and almost years.
Um, go again to the young.
Now, once again, follow, um, follow Quentin rally.
Yes, his own sports show here on SportsCastr platform.
So see what else will discuss? Okay, lets go.
Um, those styles this came out a couple of weeks ago.
This is the an hour east, so that's gonna be the N L. East.
Who will be determined, at least when I think the Atlanta Braves will most likely will, when the eno ease at 31 29.
Most likely what happened for them.
So it most likely will, um, happened now, Miami I don't know about Miami.
Miami might not do anything this year.
That's just some my opinion.
If you want to comment about Miami, you can post your comments being a SportsCastr, uh, chat room and also YouTube chat room as well.
We are on live now, the New York Mets and not a guy as you, uh You, uh you name your your name is so I'm trying to say his name.
Um, So these are your breakdowns, right? here on players.
That's gonna be the biggest impact for the There are no East team.
So once again, please follow Drew Stell as S e a h.
I'm Golden Hour followed those guys eyes.
What else would discuss? Looks like, um, we have, um, broke down.
Let's go ahead and go with Brad Smith's on mock draft mock draft.
Um, with um, Brad Smith writes Memphis, some also another SportsCastr challenge here on, um Okay, um, Golden State.
I'm selecting dumb after the Edwige.
That's one of them.
So they need some, um um weapons sound to be relevant again.
Now, the Cleveland Capital capital is ah, Lemelle ball.
He played in Australia and stuff like that.
That's one of the balls.
Yes, he was in here. Almost.
Okay, um I am seeing Nick.
Thanks for joining us for appreciate you coming in.
Also, um, James Wiseman with methods says probably could be another selection with the Washington widgets.
Also, tyreese Halliburton from Iowa State's another guy that can pick up for their young teen.
Also, um, as it, um Oko Olo.
He's from Auburn.
Also, Tyree's Maxie from Kentucky will be selected body Minnesota Timberwolves and Gary.
Um, ever a boat.
A boat with Bollinger.
I'm saying his name right.
He's from Israel. Israel.
So that someone of their, um I hope we don't pick arm a basketball player from Europe or stuff like that.
Now, um, the Charlotte Hornets selected.
00 Kobach whom I'm saying his name right is a growing tricking name, but we'll get it.
Also open topline from, um, Dayton.
Also, another guy jumped, um, selection body on Sacramento Kings.
And that's Jay McDaniels for my Washington.
Also, um o J happen is a basketball player from Australia.
So is most likely gonna be selected now on the wall and selecting Isis Do it.
I think that most likely will fit the offensive philosophy.
A bomb of the New Orleans Pelicans because what I 62 it will most likely can be that center behind Zion Williamson.
So I think that will be a great selection for the young New Orleans pelicans.
And I'm selecting Isaiah Stewart for my Washington.
Now Precious, aka Waller from, um, Memphis will be selected by, um, you got San Antonio Spurs and I'm Erin.
Um Nesmith You most likely will be selected body pulling trail places or a Damian Lillard and stuff like that.
So I most likely think there gonna be some good selections on going into the 2000 and 20 nb I draft.
So once again, this is from a techno whole.
Followed them at tech mojo dot com.
Um, these are very good.
Like I said, once again, talents.
So what's that move along here? Let's see.
Um, okay, let's move along and we'll switch this out and we will go to W.
Sports will go to W G and no sports here in New Orleans Switches out.
And those sports will talk about North Shore returns you 2020 So we'll play that video for you So that some from Friday Night Football on Flight nine Football Exclusive.
There's a sense of redemption surrounding the North Shore high school football program after a no in 10 finish in 2019.
We didn't have the winds that we wanted, but I had kids who showed up every day ready to work.
And it didn't matter that, you know, the season wasn't where we wanted it to be.
They just want to be out there and play football.
They being one of the youngest teams in the state.
A year ago, Panthers head coats, Josh Fuel started anywhere from 10 to 13 sop****res every week.
Those guys got valuable Barson grips, you know, usually get sop****res starting 58 football.
You know, you gotta be a pretty special town, you know? So we had some guys that probably contributed no matter what.
Then we had some guys who, um, maybe weren't where we needed them to be.
But by week 10 they have progressively gotten better and better like that we didn't even know was 10 doesn't make the playoffs.
We still like play.
You know yourself.
We have chemistry, build up already, and we are for the heart, for the heart.
And we can't fight this every day for the same attitude and everything went OK.
One player expected to make a huge flash in his junior season is wide out. Defensive back Brandon.
Ah, five foot 8 165 pounder.
Ready to shoulder any workload and you want to win.
You know, I got a blackout Black.
I gotta run out catching.
New offensive coordinator Bobby Sanders is expected to improve the Panthers aerial attack and put guys like Brandon and the position to be successful.
If he plays offense, he's gonna be one of our biggest offensive weapon.
He's just good with the ball in his hands, and he just likes to be out there.
He's competitive, Um, and and I'm really excited to see what he does in our offense.
With Coach Sanders coming over, Coach Buell believes that the Panthers best football is still ahead, and by using last year's motivation, they can get the program back on track.
Now we need to be competitive in every game.
No blowouts, um, you know, and turned some of those close games toe wins and are part.
And once you start doing that, you start turning the corner and turning those competitive games into winning games.
You know, I think that's where you start your upward trajectory.
Ritchie Mills, I think to be honest with you, I think nor sure will be back on the map again.
I think they will.
It's gonna take a while, but the truth of the matter is, I think they will get back on the on track because last year they finished Oh, enchant, uh, on the season.
So that's something, right? There are 40 young North Shore fans to adore hopefully better days ahead for, um, a notional football.
So once again, next Tuesday, we will have high school football previews.
I will begin in the wallets area and also will begin in the Baton Rouge every on Thursday.
So we'll be doing high school football.
So let's see what else is on w d I know.
Okay, let's break down this.
Okay, um, MLB cancels All Star game for the first time since 1945.
So that's just some unfortunate for MLB because of this Corona buyers pandemic, So it's most likely goingto happen.
So, um, so they will not have it this year because the MLB is going to be 60 games this year, so it's most likely that it will probably hopefully don't have it next year when the Corona virus, some pandemic, um dies down stuff like that. Hopefully it does.
I don't probably have baseball again.
So once again, that son, just to reiterate, uh, the MLB will be cancelling the young um uh, also or gain submit Midsummer Classic.
So that's always been a since 1925.
So once again, this is from Associated Press and go to the Associated Press.
Okay, let's play this.
Okay, um, ap sources, um, NFL to play black anthem before the national anthem.
I think they should, because that will, um, solidify the situation going on with the flag and stuff like that and all the races it just is going on in the country.
So I think the black national anthem should be played at the NFL games.
I know it's gonna **** a lot of people off, but the truth of the matter is, I think it should be fair about it and not, um um and not, um, given inch because, you know, these NFL players will, um, kneel for the national weapon.
They will absolutely kneel for the national anthem, but the black national after should be played in these, um, stadiums and stuff like that. I know.
I know it's gonna get a lot of people angry and stuff like that, and they just don't wanna watch NFL football in the more, but that's just that that's down.
That's not everybody else.
So once again, this is from I don t know sports that some see what else would discuss.
Okay, let's go over to this one.
Fifth year handle recruiting.
Found these bodies NC double A.
So they're going to be in a lot of trouble with DNC double A, uh, when, um, recruiting, they are put on probation, and Coach Jimbo Fisher will give um six months caused by the NC double late on Thursday.
Said they are going to be on probation so they will not participate in a bowl game this year.
So that's if doing the young at the end of the season.
So that's unfortunate for them.
But you have to follow the ruse off of the NC double life so that some, um, we're talking about here.
So if you're if you agree with this, if you agree with this decision, you could push your comments beardy on SportsCastr chat wrong and also the YouTube chat room.
If you don't agree with it, I'm The program itself was fined $505,000 also restrictions from the delay that's gonna come down on the pipeline.
Eso would be NC double A.
So once again, this is from WD and no, Jimbo Fisher and Texas.
And I'm, um, Abby's or going to be on our privation, and they'll have to pay to find this stuff like that.
So once again, this is from WGN.
Okay, let's see what else will talk about.
OK, um okay, Dr Rex, do it.
Um, talks precautions surrounding Tulane students.
So let's go ahead and play this video.
One second, the planter Stuart, you were recently elected to head the A C's Cove in 19 Medical advisory Group.
Kind of Tell me, you know what, that honor mints you to chair that group and just kind of the work that you have been doing well, I was.
It was very exciting to be asked.
Teoh, lead that group on.
It's It's actually a very smart group of, ah, of individuals.
There is representative from each of the institutions within the American Athletic Conference.
Probably half athletic trainers have physicians.
Very interested on the health and safety of the student athletes is our have our primary goal with an understanding that the end of the day we're working at coming back to competition but that we have to do that with the often safety of student athletes at the forefront.
So would have kind of you and your team a two lane been doing just toe.
You know, make sure that students do have, ah, safe avenue to return the campus.
We've actually gone through a process of trying to create this bubble that everybody talks about.
S o we have gone, uh, while everything was shut down, all the cleaning and everything was done inside to make sure that everything was kind of ready for people to come back.
Uh, flexi glass in areas where people might be close of part of the areas where there is a tutoring going on on the Tourister next tune.
So we got plexiglass hand sanitizers all around with our facilities.
Um, between Wilson Building Human Stadium and the Hurts practice facility for men and women's basketball and volleyball.
We've actually made it, so there's a single entrance to get in.
So we've locked down all of the doors from the outside so that you have to come through the front doors.
It Wilson, you have to be known.
We dio, um, the questionnaire that if you've gone Teoh your doctor's office or something like that.
You know the questions, um, symptom check list kind of thing for Cove in 19.
And then we take temperatures on and you know, you kind of past that screening, then you're allowed in that staff.
That's coaches, that is student athletes. It's everybody.
Um, and we started doing of the nasal swabs on everybody.
A zit comeback in Esso that if you test positive with that at the very beginning, as everyone for turning the campus, we're testing everybody and then you're quarantined until the test result comes back.
Test result comes back fine.
You're able, Teoh, get in and do everything within the within the bubble on.
Then, as's far as Theoden final testing, depending upon who and what you're student athlete, 20 team affiliation or you administration that may or may not have real close contact with student athletes were going to retest once or twice a week in order to keep up with this.
So it's kind of my understanding that to lay in like a bunch of other universities right now, we're slowly phasing in athletes of different sports.
I know football started a couple weeks ago or last week.
And then this week you guys have basketball and volleyball.
What? I guess with these phases, what are you noticing from? I guess you know, coaches practices the voluntary workouts.
What do you kind of advising people on? So we're really kind of watching everybody very closely with this still doing social distancing.
We've got the strength.
In addition, coaches are wearing the n 95 masks, the real serious mask when they're actually one on one with the with the student athletes.
Um, for the most part, what we've done is our face coverings or more like the Gators.
That's kind of the neck band that you just kind of pull up over your mouth and nose to cover.
Of course I was, you know, as I'm sure everyone has the logo on it and everything.
Um, but that's the expectation is they are in the facilities on the dining hall, and everything else is within the within.
The bubble is well, so Ah, we're social distancing.
Um, you know, keeping everyone apart.
Um, you know some of the low weight training.
Obviously, you can't, but that's why the coaches are in the better ask The coaches were being tested as well.
On then out on the field, Uh, football.
When they're outside a little easier because, you know you can spread out outside on ultraviolet light kills the virus, so that's helpful as well.
Eso kind of, you know, the the twice week testing daily temperature checks on then continue with the mask and social distancing and those kinds of things is is what we're doing.
Try and keep everybody safe and then education on the part of the student athletes and staff and coaches that make sure they understand the importance of the mass important social distancing the importance of not going out some mass gathering, Which is kind of what we've seen going across the country, especially in this age group, that the outbreaks come when that integrity of the bubble is is is compromised.
You're probably referencing, you know what happened over at L S u.
I noticed that universities like Arizona, Houston, they've had the Khanna, you know, suspend their voluntary workout programs because they've had kind of many outbreaks over there.
Have there been any, you know, indications that that could be a possibility, maybe a two lane.
Or but it certainly could, because what you're saying and and not just l s u but Kansas State was that way.
Central Florida University of Houston has been a number of the of the schools that have had larger outbreaks.
That would really kind of do the contact tracing you go back.
And there was an event.
There was a party.
Uh, there was a bar that opened.
There was something that happened, Ben, uh, that people all came together.
And we've all seen those pictures, whether it's the bars of the pools of the beaches or something like that.
And that's really has been what has caused the most of these outbreaks in this population.
The phase three approach, which is, you know, 225 student athletes returning the campus that the date for that is set on August 30.
Think we have a long way to go before we can accurately say that August are you will have 225 student athletes on campus.
I think there's there's yes.
You know what people ask me what keeps me awake at night ones.
The July 4th weekend on the other is when all the students come back to campus.
Um, you know, those are the two areas that that really kind of make me worried.
Um, if we get past those than I think we've got a love of doing stuff.
But in the short piece, you know, as we get, people on campus and in the bubble were actually so far have been able to do a good job of maintaining and containing everything that's going on.
So it to laying.
The student athletes have understood and have taken this very seriously.
But I think that comes, you know, from Troy Dan and athletic director Teoh, head coaches of each of the sports.
I have been very diligent and educating and meeting on Zoom with the student athletes as they come in their parents.
I've been on those meetings, so we're very clear about what our concerns are, what we're doing to mitigate those concerns and how it important they are in.
In all of this, I've heard a lot of compliments about the way that you know your team in the university is definitely handling an approaching, You know, this whole pandemic returned to school situation.
How proud are you love your team in the university.
I tell you what it has been.
Uh, they've all done a great job.
The, you know, certainly from President Fits and Patrick Norton, up with the front of campus to all the people that they have working and implementing everything into athletics with with Troy and his senior executive group has really made it.
Uh, I don't know that easy is the right word because none of what we've been doing is really easy.
But everybody has understood what we're trying to accomplish on and, you know, and the priorities are, uh, you know, health and safety number one, Uh, certainly the student athletes, but the staff and the coaches and everybody else is well, ultimately hopefully the fans in this on then operationalize ing all of the things that we need to do in order to keep everybody healthy and safe comes into play with all of it.
So it's it's been a lot of work, but everybody understands that's number one, uh, number two is getting back.
Teoh practicing and competing and then winning on and those air kind of our goals and priorities a z a z.
We're putting everything together and kind of looking into the crystal ball that you might have in there on your desk.
Do you? Ah, do you see a possibility of fans Maybe being in the stands? You know, this fall come football season, I I think that there's a chance some with with football.
Ah, and that's, you know, mostly because it's outside.
I think some of the indoor sports certainly early on volleyball and some things like that.
Um, you know, not not just my decision.
Obviously, um, football, you know, becomes ah whole different deal.
Because not only is that, uh, the fans in the stands and everyone thinks about that and families and social distancing in the stands, But you also have to understand that the other piece that you have to do with all of this is get everybody in and get everybody out.
And so you've gotta have a mechanism to keep everybody safe as they're coming in and out.
And just think about the less last time you you left a football Game three.
The lack of social distancing as everybody is, is exiting the stadium regardless of what stadium it is.
So I think Those are the things that everybody kind of has to keep in mind with what we're doing and that this doesn't have anything to do with not wanting fans in the stands.
But it's it's ultimately about their health and safety as well.
Yeah, I said yes.
So I wo I hope, um I hope it does happen.
So I hope it does happen on the safety and welfare of the student athletes and also the young pains and stuff like that.
So, um, so that's, um but some conclude to show today.
