again conversation here as a DeAndre.
Jordan, unfortunately, did test positive for the Corona virus and also officially said that he will not be joined the team down in Orlando.
So let's get let the guys jump in here and then we'll dive it on what this means, not just for the Nets.
We will go a little bit broad stroke to, I think, here, just saying what this looks like for the N B A as a whole, as we start to ramp up to when teams were going to be going down to Orlando and what it might look like if a couple more of these players come through testing positive, you know, right now for the Nets, which will get into a little bit.
But they have had a number of names brought up as faras, either testing positive or not taking part in Orlando for different reasons.
As we be welcome in this shimmering that Brooks.
I think Keith in here in a second.
But you know, there's been some other players around the league that have gone the route of saying they're you know they're not going to go.
Uh, that same direction here comes back.
We are classic classic.
That was I didn't realize the Web team I was on.
What's up? It was very ominous.
It was very glowing.
Yeah, it was a transition right there that we want to do that the whole time.
Well, as Ah, Studios has anyone who's been watching the Keith and I have gotten on a couple of times here, and that's a good conversation.
But we've also had some problems getting the Kittner streams off the grab.
I keep sitting quietly on a stream while he was watching everything that I was doing, but I couldn't see him.
So he just I just rambled for a while, thinking like Like I never know where Keith is and he's like, Is Is Adam ever gonna let me talk? Or is this just gonna d enjoy the view? I've got a safe.
It's It's kind of fitting that, you know, I come in facing the wrong way because, you know, we are talking about the Nets, which are practically facing the wrong way coming into this tournament.
I mean, it's only fitting that it's a total misfire.
Absolutely, it is.
Almas was away for Keith to get in here, man.
Fast and furious has the has the news for the Brooklyn, and that's come first.
It it feels like I just recently was saying, You know, I wouldn't mind getting a look at Nicholas Claxton down there in Orlando, Young player got a nice skill set.
Let's see what he's okay.
Did for surgery.
See it. See you next season.
Ah, and then immediately turned around Wilson Chandler size that.
He's not gonna partake in it Now.
You got a couple of positive test beyond DeAndre Jordan.
You've also got Spencer Dinwiddie testing positive as well.
Now he's still up in the air.
I remarked, Teoh, my my podcast.
Doug, the other day that yesterday I think I was like, Wow, this is gonna looks strikingly like the roster Before all the big moves we're taking this past off season, it's gonna look like this.
The young upstart team minus our ah, our leader and Kenny Atkinson.
Yeah, well, it's really gonna look like the Long Island that says that.
It's like because I don't even have, like, a d Angelo Russell or anybody like you.
That is anything as welcoming keep McPherson is Well, you're right.
That with one caveat was like, Oh, wait.
You know you're not gonna have, though.
Is the reclamation de Lo project that actually gave you, you know, a heck of a couple seasons there for the Brooklyn Nets.
Dude, it This is going to be interesting, man.
Keith, we didn't get far.
Just, ah, be gonna be palette.
And now that this for all after that is to be light, I'll say on some of the big names and also thin just from a death perspective.
What? How we feeling, how we feel? It is the next fan right now.
I don't see why people are bugging out there posting that old picture of the Nets with the Yogi Ferrell I'm like, Do you guys understand? Like, none of this matters through.
This is none of this matters.
I said to someone last night, win win situation for me, and they're like, No, it's not win win.
You know, if we unlike, think about it for the organization and the franchise.
They've been on to next season since this time last year when we signed Katie and we knew he wasn't gonna play.
So this is our exhibition.
This is all this is all bonus run.
This is all scrimmages.
This doesn't matter.
We know we're not gonna win the whole thing.
There's no way we were gonna win the whole thing even with Katie and Kyrie, right? We had those rumors.
Of what if Katie and Kyrie a ready to play And no, Kyrie wasn't playing with shoulder injury.
Katie wasn't gonna come back.
He had Corona virus is one of the first nets to come up with the Corona virus.
We weren't gonna win it with them.
This is all exhibition.
This is just to see and I'm actually more excited now.
I'm like, OK, I don't want to see slow as DeAndre Jordan out there.
I don't want to see Wilson Chandler's old ass.
Either Show me these young guys and let me see who's hungry.
Let me see who's got a little bit of like firing him guys like Chico's.
I think this kid is gonna go out there and shine.
Well, I'm really hoping is that Caris? Levert doesn't opt out, But like the rest of these names, like I sent to you guys in the in the chat.
I'm like, Yeah, let's see these guys Run, Taurean Prince.
Show me something, Dude.
People hate it on him all year.
Maybe he's gets hot, maybe balls out.
Don't forget about Joe Harris.
Maybe Joe Harris gets to take more shots.
I'm like, I like what I'm seeing with this.
I don't care for Katie Kyrie, DeAndre Jordan Wilson, Chandler, Spencer Dinwiddie.
And then Nick Klaxon has hurt.
I don't I'm fine with not seeing those guys play in Orlando.
I'm really, really was.
I want to see some of those unknowns like Tyler Johnson.
I mean, but okay.
So real quick after you, Are you in agreement with teeth that this didn't matter to me? I mean, really, I know where you stood on it, I think.
But this this was never really that big of a deal from a Brooklyn Nets organization perspective right there.
This was a formality of just getting through this season, right? I mean, they're just kind of kicking us while we're down.
I mean, like, my thing with this is like, I wish Claxton was playing because I think klaxons fun.
I like that she owes a care sliver thing will be fun to watch.
And then at this point, I'm kind of hoping they go into their like Long Island town a little bit like, uh, what's the name? Johnny Bungu. I think that's his name.
I want to see play a little bit.
They have a stretch guy that I think would be worth a look.
It sounds like I 20 net income it nets daily, wrote up the thing on it, and I was just like, Oh, that name sounds interesting.
It's on about like their G League team at all.
Um, we have a guy that's daily who, uh, covers the net.
The Long Island.
That's full time Chris Maholm.
So I kind of want to debrief him.
And I mean, maybe that, you know, that might be, you know, something I have to do on SportsCastr here because I'm like, I might need to learn the Long Island Nets roster now for about playing here.
Well, here's a couple of the things that positive I took away from it to like.
Let's expand it beyond just the DeAndre Jordan News.
We know that then would end things at the top that somebody tested positive to some chance that maybe he said he's up in the air right now.
I think that if you can, I think he's more looking at the timeline of isolation and then getting down and training with the team.
I think that he will play if if he's able to.
But Wilson Chandler, going up on a one year contract and, by the way, like we may have just seen the last of Wilson Chandler, the Brooklyn Nets uniform, right, like which is fine.
Exactly what gave us this year.
And I think there's other veterans, three in D, kind of guys that, you know, I mean, the That's a very replaceable commodity for the Nets when you look at maybe some G League prospects.
But the other thing I think we'll get here is let's get on.
And maybe you've already moved the needle on this.
But, uh, Musa Kourou looks like Hey, guess what, guys, this is if you're not already done.
This is your last opportunity to assert that you have developed will develop herbal talents still, because this past season we're supposed to be while we wait for Katie return, Here's a chance for you guys.
And I mean crews, especially given a real opportunity early in the season, effectively undid any goodwill that he had the year prior and has made it look like that may be a very coachable contract, movable peace, and not necessarily a town that we want to move forward with.
So those are a couple of the names that I think I'm gonna look at to now, especially when you don't have Wilson Chandler.
And if you want to keep maybe Tori on prints out of the four position, you're going to run some other names out there and see what they're capable of.
Friendly over the eight game strikes, right? This is less about that first playoff series and this aching Ames.
Let's see what I want to see.
Cool rocks, Roadie.
I could've directed that, But this one? Yes.
Are you cut out a little bit, so I don't know if I talked over you.
I kind of want to see karaoke since I'm writing something up on him right now.
Uh, and I mean, when he just didn't play this year, I was like, you know, I had a feeling, you know, because I just remember from the year I don't remember much rodeos groups, but you look at he's played like 500 total minutes.
That's nothing like that is compared to the year before.
Yes, so and like, I have started 40 games, right? So I was like, a year ago.
I was really high on him like he was like this, like Jack of all trades guy that I tend to gravitate toward quite a bit.
So I That's the one guy I think I'm really watching for outside of Chios.
Oh, I like, but he's like he's the needle mover for me.
Moussa, I I'm not I don't really see much of him.
Another guy I don't even know to.
You'll see, I guess.
What best be used in a trade filler.
I expect him to be cut by next year.
It's nothing against him.
Then we give him a contract.
Didn't then that's Ah, yeah, but it's not guaranteed.
Get become trumpets for this season and the next year's deal it years removable.
Yeah, so it's not guaranteed so they can just get naked.
Wave him essentially for nothing.
It won't hit the books, but even But even he is looked as made himself look more quote promising than Moussa has.
You know, by just by being on the court, I think just being good enough that the team was like, Okay, you can go in and play in the N B a level where his moose's seems to have very much They were like Who? Buddy? And just head back to Long Island? Well, well, Teal c hit threes for a month.
Like he was hitting threes. And he's like, Wow, this guy's amazing.
Like I was also into, Yeah, I was like, This is their latest three indie guy And then it was just, like, stopped happening.
And I was like, OK, well, now that the three isn't falling, you know guys aren't biting on his pump fakes.
He's not necessarily getting to the Ram.
It kind of just felt from there, So I don't know.
I mean, Keith, I'd love to hear you are excited to see, but it's really just the two.
The two guards right now that we saw in Boston game and roadie, and that's probably about it.
Well, throughout this season, that didn't really matter.
We all do Nets, podcasts and a re occurring theme on talking nets was that this is an audition these guys are auditioning for next year.
Are they worth keeping around? Do they have value? Are they developing? It sucks that Kenny is not here right now.
Like think about Kenny coaching this team and these eight games in Orlando like that that I'm never gonna get over Kenny.
But like looking at this team, some of these guys, I really don't know.
But like you said, what roadie? Coup roots and ah, Dizon moves.
So those are two guys that we drafted that I want to see, like, rise to the occasion here, show us your N b A Players show us your talented show is that you want to be on this team and that you're worth a roster spot when we do hit the bright lights with Katie Kyrie next year.
The rest of these guys, like at the top of that list that I sent like Caris, Levert, Joe Harris, Jared Allen, Taurean Prince Garrett tumble Like we we know we've seen those guys.
We know who they are and what they are.
But the bottom of the list There's still a lot to be seen.
We were just starting to watch him cook at the end of the year.
He was just starting a shake, guys up and make plays.
We were just starting to learn about him.
I really want to see him play.
Um, I don't really care for Tyler Johnson or Jeremiah Marin or Justin Anderson, those air feeler guys and I know we'll sign another.
We will sign another guy.
But Jared Allen You know, everybody talks about Jared Allen being a part of a trade.
The whole year Kyrie left him off his list.
People were saying, Oh, you know, they got DeAndre Jordan.
That's gonna be their starting center.
That's gonna be the guy to room with Katie and Kyrie.
Well, yet let let DeAndre Jordan rest so that he'll be ready to run next year.
But Jared Allen, show us who you are.
You're older now.
You're more mature now, like you're not the young guy that everybody talked about, like p a beast going to Orlando and dominate and show the world that, like you, could be a force not just for the Nets but in the MBA whether we trade, you are not like, rise up and, like, I want to see Jared Allen get a little bit of a mean streak in Orlando.
I want to see him, kind of pushed them guys around and turned into the bully.
I feel like he's too big, like a gentle Giant like he gets bullied.
I saw Ben Simmons William like That's a guy I'm looking forward to seeing in Orlando.
You know, it's funny because before we switch over to the coaching side that that's one of the names man coming into the season, the perception of Jared Allen a lot different than where it stands right now and a lot of ways, especially down the stretch before things cut off.
I mean, listen, I have my opinion, DeAndre Jordan.
Overall, I'm not necessarily swayed.
Even when people dive inside the numbers and try to convince me that it's fine.
I know guys there.
I understand the function of the and I'm not saying that hasn't been yet in.
The contractors got brutal, but Jared Allen right now has the opportunity because it's a couple of factors.
One you're going to start center this team, you're going tohave to battle whatever Biggs will this eight game stretch in.
And if you get into that, you know the first playoff round against Toronto right now would be interesting, because you're not gonna have too many big body issues necessarily for him.
I'll be curious if if you kind of just get himself back on track over this run, the other players that mention before that story on Prince like, I'll be curious to see if the Nets choose to avoid putting him in the four.
Like given the eight game who's coming off the bench before the stoppage, keep him at the three and at least find out what his true value is at his right position.
Because a lot of the criticisms of him has been well, you know what defensively.
He seems overmatched offensively, difficult for him to get his shot, not knocking down some open looks.
And those things may just be Hey, listen, you're not knocking down your looks, but the other side of it is you're playing out of position.
So you're playing against bigger bodies defensively, and then you have harder matches on the offense event, so I wonder if to go into the coaching.
Will Jacque Vaughn look to have Tory on Prince playing where he should be? What is he going to do it? The four spot in the starting lineup? It It's not Tory on prints.
And then step further.
I would say, I know that you're disappointed, Keith in Kenny Atkinson being let go.
But how much does this hurt or help job on like this? Feels very much like like and thank you so much shock.
It's been a note.
Any couldn't do anything over this eight game stretch in that first Siri's like, What would he have to do here in order to prove wow, you tend be the next level beyond Kenny Atkinson for this team? Don't fall out of it like because there is a chance that we could fall out of it, um, and not be in the actual playoffs and show us something as far as like, leading these young guys and having them play together.
And we want to see them like mesh well and play well and execute under Jacque Vaughn in a way that, like nobody, knows what it's gonna look like.
These guys have never actually been on the court together.
Like if Spencer's not on the court is a whole different.
Like, that's a whole different look.
And I know she hoses ready, but, like, there is gonna take a lot Job bones.
Gonna gonna have ah, lot on his hands with a little with literally like no real stars.
Like we gotta play the bucks early.
We got to play the Wizards early like they have superstars on their team like, Yeah, so let's get into that.
Then I'll go to you, Matt on this like there's a couple because basically, it's going to be the unit that was there minus D Look, deal essentially is not Chios.
That's what that little one for a while and swap would be.
And then you have everybody that was there from the year prior.
When you look at this schedule, though, to there's a couple of factors your Clippers clippers that it's not the Clippers, you're not playing the Clippers in that game.
Clippers aren't really gonna have a lot tohave to play for when you look at that schedule the 1st 2 games out the gate and it's Orlando and then It's Washington.
The Nets will either solidify their position and have nothing to worry about over the next six games, including a later matchup with the Orlando Magic, even if they, maybe they want to avoid fall into the eighth spot and playing the Bucks.
But really, 1st 2 games beat Orlando beat Washington.
Washington may be too far removed to make a push and Orlando be far enough back that they're not gonna close that gap and then playing playing Boston doesn't matter.
They're not moving anywhere in the standings.
The Clippers aren't moving anywhere in the standings like that.
That's have, despite that, I think is like 5 43 win percentage, a very easy road because it's all teams that are pretty locked into their positions, right.
I believe they had losing records to both Orlando and the way those teams on the way.
I'm not saying it as in just Windows.
Just win those games.
I'm saying if you want to hold her fate in their hands, win those 1st 2 games and you're good beyond that like and I don't know what it looks like now because that's the next thing that I want to get into.
Really, As you said Keith about for Giacalone.
Order for this team in general.
Don't full out of it.
The Nets currently sit there with that protected pick that goes to Minnesota at which will be a 14.
If they fall out of it, that's where they'll cycle back up to.
They currently are in line to get.
Will be a 20 right now in the draft, picking with a swap of Philadelphia through a lot of different moving parts of stuff.
I mean, does anybody care about that? You a Jew Point say, Don't worry about it.
Take the time to lose Orlando. Lose the Washington and fall away.
Lose their pick in 2021 it rolls over to 2022 if they miss this year.
I saw I think it was Eric Slater on Twitter who said that you could bump up immediately, but fall away later or you lose a pick later, which I don't know if that necessarily matter is like this isn't a great draft.
Actually, would I think I would rather I think I would write, Look, if I'm the Nets I would rather make the playoffs and then, um, and then potentially keep the picks in 2021 2022 because of the prospect of the double draft, which is where you have, like the high school players, potentially going straight from senior year of high school to the pro level.
So you're gonna have, like, double the amount of prospects.
So I personally would rather if I was the Nets to just make the playoffs. It's not.
It's gonna be like your classic.
It's gonna be your classic Eastern Conference battle for the seven battle for the eight in that there's not much of a battle, but, uh, but I mean, you know what I mean.
Like, it's It's not gonna be exactly inspired.
Run. Because, let's be honest.
Like the Wizards, Wizards aren't a good team, either.
Their second best player is out as well with protons and the magic.
I mean, if you watch the Magic, this year was not an enjoyable watch.
They're missing Jonathan Isaac A.
But both of those teams can beat us without those guys like Oh, it's like I don't know, man, it's I look at it like this, right? Okay, so we Let's say Let's say we do somehow play competitive.
We win those games.
We locked down our spot.
We go in as the seventh or a seed.
We're not getting past the first round.
So we have these eight games.
Then maybe we get another 45 games.
I rather get the pick like now.
I'm like, Okay, let's see this eight game exhibition of these young guys.
We're gonna sign another guy.
Let's see who we think is like, Ah, ballplayer, Let's see who we think is worth being on this team next year, right? Think about this.
We could have kept Theo Pinson.
They didn't want feel on this team.
Look at what we're seeing.
There's they could kept Theo.
They they're moving on from the old regime nets.
So what The future looks like No more dancing Bench grew.
They got the out of there because they want, like they didn't have to do that.
These guys are also auditioning.
These guys have to go in those eight games.
Show us something that that makes the organization think OK, they can fit as pieces with Katie Kyrie DeAndre, Jordan and I think that's all this is about.
Let's see what these guys look like.
Let's see who was working out over the last three months.
Let's see who's got some type of, like chip on their shoulder.
Yeah, they're not worried about.
Like we're not gonna win.
We're not gonna win anything.
Like even if we do win these eight games and get into the playoff, we're one and done one Siri's and done.
If we if we fall out, I'm fine with it.
Let's look into the draft and see if there's, ah, you know, a talented player late in the draft that we want to take.
Well, uh, my foot plot between that, because I I always think, well, get that asset a little bit higher, even if it becomes a part of the trade package that you want to make in the off season.
So there's value there to Matt's point.
If it's not the strongest draft class, how diminished will that asset be? Even if you're a 14 or 15 13 or 14 year highs, they could go, but the other piece of it, I'll say I I talked about this a lot.
Previously, there's a couple of factors if Jared Allen If Spencer Dinwiddie If Caris Levert are either going to be a part of this team next year or a part of trade packages in the off season if they're gonna be a part of trade package is the best thing that you could do is half Caris.
Levert pop off in the first round.
Maybe you win a game against Toronto, but even if you lose and four, he just looks like the truth.
Starting with no other real weapons outside of you say didn't Woody offensively.
That would be impressive enough and probably increases value.
Likewise for Dinwiddie, the other side of it is these guys, including Joe Harris, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jared Allen, Caris, Levert All have five games of MBA playoff experience That all came last year against the Philadelphia 76 ers.
The one case on make is if they are coming back getting into the playoffs, even if it is just to take some lumps, it's still going to be doubling their playoff experience before you come in next season with Katie and Kyrie, and I don't know how, how much I should wait that value, but there's something to be said for.
Like I saw all those reports about How is Spencer did what he gonna be able to carry the load in Orlando.
This is even before DeAndre Jordan was out and I looked back and said, Well, I saw him where to do that this year.
When when Kyrie was out.
Like I already feel pretty confident in him.
But Caris Levert would be this this guy that I keep my eye on and say, OK, you're legit.
We can have you plugged in here And maybe that makes dimwit immovable this offseason.
Or maybe it just makes you that much more valuable.
Or maybe Jared Allen does enough and he becomes unmovable piece.
Do you think that you can increase your value and or experience over this eight game in the playoff run? I'll go. I'll go to you, Matt first.
I mean, I think it's like the perfect opportunity for for Caress and Jared Allen either.
Like a to prove that they have like I mean, I guess this is the part where it's like there's no negatives for, especially for these two guys that I think I mean expensive.
Then we would be in this mix, obviously.
But, um, you know, they these guys are probably the guys that have the most value.
I think on this team, like in terms of other teams calling and stuff like that.
I mean, I I guess didn't didn't what he does need to be a not expelled.
I'm saying that I love, but regardless, like if they play really well, they either prove that they're like a part of this core.
Or it's like, Hey, we can package these two guys together or separately or something like that and and try to move with That s So I think that's intriguing.
I will say, Look, I know this is not exactly on your question on, but, um, I'm not exactly moved by the guys that they added, like since guys have gone out like the Justin Anderson Peace and the Tyler Johnson piece.
Tyler Johnson, obvious hasn't played in Brooklyn, but I don't know if I like I would have liked to see some new blood like I feel like we kind of got a little bit of a feel for Justin Anderson.
Tyler Johnson is like he's 27 like undersized combo guard.
He's a couple injuries and his athleticism is dwindled like I wish we could get a little more.
There's the big things. That what? Sorry.
It's just like it's raging me.
It's just like I don't know, like, it's kind of hard for me to get excited for this specific core because I've seen them all year long, like there's were just there is nothing moving me about this Kurt organization does.
I didn't care, bro.
They don't want you to get excited.
They don't want anyone to be excited about this.
They this is This is a glorified exhibition practice, really.
It's like a trial, right.
When you try for the basketball team, you show up to the gym.
There's a bunch of guys there and you've got to turn it up and run with no fans in attendance, nobody watching except for the coaches, and this is exactly what we're gonna see.
We're gonna get to see these guys in a practice setting on the court against better competition and see who is a dog who's got that chip on their shoulder who can turn it on like guys like CEOs, I think can turn it on whether there's 50,000 people watching, whether they're zero people.
So I think this is really just an experiment, an exhibition for the Nets to see who they have and, like, they're not trying to make a splash like, I don't know if there's a big name player out there like Michael Beasley or like I forget who else they're talking about floating around swaggy p like know that Brooklyn is not picking up a guy like that.
They're gonna pick up some of these lesser name, lesser known names younger guys that have experience with us.
No, our system are familiar with us and see how they handle this whole bubble situation.
It is the most unique situation we've ever seen in an M B a season.
These guys have to go toe like, literally like some dorm summer camp type thing and play basketball at a high level amid a pandemic of American revolution.
Like it's wild to really think about.
And I know that the Nets are not invested in winning it, and they're also not invested in like the fans necessarily enjoying it.
It's more about seeing like what talent we have, who We think like is worth playing with Katie and Kyrie next year.
But why not take the home run swing like? That's what I don't understand.
Like I just like they did.
You're a good they saw in Katie and Kyrie.
That was a whole bellowing you.
It's like a glorified summer league team at this point, like I just like, I don't know, there's something about it.
Like I is an all the speed, all or nothing to me, right? Like either.
Like I mean, you're so I'm sure that I'm sure they do.
But it's like either maybe your point, Matt, Like, pull a name out of the crowd and seat like Don't don't sign Tyler Johnson signed somebody and take a shot on them or dorks way.
All know, right? Having *** probably had to get his guy, but if not, then it's all because I'm like, Do I want to risk carousel averted nous like if you already know the carrot slipper, it's gonna be Oh, that's one of the other side of it, too, is like Remember when this thing ends in October, I know assume the nets get bounced out.
So by the end of July through the end of August, they will be done, and you know they'll have a bit of an off season for themselves.
But the next season next season is not gonna be too far around the corner.
So it's like, How much risk do you want to run it? Anybody on the Nets roster that's gonna be back gets injured.
You're not going to see them for 3/4 or potentially the entire next year with guys that have some, you know, arguably, UM, no fluke injury, especially with Paris labor.
But, like, do you want to risk that? I will say it.
She knows it probably has the best ability to move the needle for himself, whether it's what, the Nets or anywhere in the league over his career.
This is a big opportunity, which makes it exciting to see him, maybe against a Van Fleet against the Toronto Raptors, because they match, you know, size matchup.
Um, but just let's go, let's go big picture because you brought it up the bubble keys with DeAndre Jordan testing positive, dimly test positive to Is the MBA our sports in general being a little bit casual with their athletes and their health, you know, and running into these things and are we were butting up against the wall here where you're like, hey, reunited down in Orlando with, like, 40% of everyone starting roster in some form or fashion and basically a G league showcase.
Yeah, it's gonna happen, guys.
They're gonna test positive for the Corona virus.
More guys are gonna test positive.
Other guys are also going to opt out for family reasons for financial reasons, like it is what it is And going into this Orlando bubble, Um, I think we're going to see even like I said, more is gonna happen like they're going to guys that play games and then all of a sudden they come a positive and like, that's the thing about this virus.
We've learned to live with it.
Adam Silver even came out and said, like, you know, we've learned to live with, live with it.
We have to be able to do business and proceed with the virus and, you know, take our precautions and have these things in place.
But it's just gonna be the type of thing where you know more guys gonna get the Corona virus and we're just gonna have to keep moving forward.
And it will be like, Ah, glorified G league showcase.
We're going to see a lot of guys on the court like, Who is this guy? Not just on the Nets.
Other teams, like I've never heard of this do before.
I don't think they should be a little bit tournament.
I mean, like, maybe that's why my attitude is just like business.
I get it, I get why they're doing it.
Uh, we'll see what happens.
I mean, the worst thing, like this stuff happening day by day and like more and more guys testing positive, I don't think is really gonna stop because guys aren't in Orlando yet.
I do wonder if a little bit of groupthink comes in eventually where guys are like, OK, like, you know, look at the Nets.
They now have lost what, 3 to 3? I mean, I guess to right now, but it feels like a lot more because of other guys that have tested positive.
You know, a certain amount of guys on this Nets roster are gone because of Corona virus.
Like do I really want to put myself at risk and deal with that.
I just I don't feel like this is over in terms of the amount of guys testing positive before Orlando.
And I do wonder if there is eventually gonna come a point where guys are gonna look around and be like, What are we doing here? Like, what am I doing here? Really? Yeah, Unfortunately with the way that cycled right, all the the it seemed like we were flat lot flattening the curve and starting to move away from it.
Now it looks like all of this planning to get to Orlando because I felt like the safe haven has now maybe become one of the hot spots that you would not want to go and you can, Right? And you can't pivot now you can't.
Okay, what's the other big venue that we can go in the house? All these people.
So that's I think, as much as anything is the reason why the NBA's like, steady as she goes, because we don't have any other plan.
Your outside of if it reaches that threshold where they go, OK, it's not going to work out that you know this is it.
We tried and we came up a little bit short.
So it'll be interesting to see man end seems in one of the better positions to try to pull this off.
I'm very curious to watch other sports like the NFL in visually baseball tryto figure out whatever their plans, which seem inevitably just destined for disaster.
But there's still this doesn't time for those things that unravel.
We'll leave it there, and I'll just say, Whoever the Nets put out there, I'm obviously gonna be excited for it.
Obviously, be brushing up on my G League roster just to make sure I got the names on the tips of my tongue there, uh, for myself, for Matt Brooks, who you can follow on its daily.
You can follow him on here at Matt Brooks en be a very, very powerful monitor monitor and has your God keep McPherson.
He's doing talking nets.
He's also here and on social media.
Find us everywhere, man.
If you like the Brooklyn Nets, I mean, three guys couldn't be better toe
