00:08:29

00:09:13

00:09:14
Next time I do this, this is going to start and look really stupid, but whatever.
00:09:19
So, um, we got a fun show tonight, though.
00:09:21
Obviously we're kicking inside with Bob Costas, and then we got normal show here.
00:09:24
We got breathe easily.
00:09:26
Busy day here in sports.
00:09:27
So it's gonna be fun.
00:09:28
A Spencer Dinwiddie.
00:09:29
Um, her environment for the Nets.
00:09:31
Well, what's left of the nuts? J.
00:09:33
R.
00:09:34
Smith, the Lakers money, Bates, the Michigan State.
00:09:35
So when this interview is over, which is gonna be about 70 minutes one after it starts, don't leave.
00:09:40
The show will not be over because we gonna having our normal show. All right, I'm gonna go.
00:09:44
And I'm not gonna come back because knowing me next time I joined was going to start.
00:09:48
And we were really stupid.
00:09:49
So I'm gonna go you guys a few minutes for two? I don't know, but by all right, we broke 50 and we've even started yet.
00:11:04
Just got a point. That out business.
00:11:06
And our guys.
00:11:07
Seriously, though, um, once the zoom starts, we're talking about for a minute or two.
00:11:11
So, um, it definitely will be a couple minutes, but we are really excited.
00:11:17
It's gonna be kind of fun.
00:11:19
And yeah, let's go ive way.
00:15:38
I think I figure out the problem because it was not good for them.
00:15:41
Now I think it's good.
00:15:44
Yep.
00:15:45
We're good. Okay.
00:15:47
All right.
00:15:48
Now joining us.
00:15:49
One of the greatest broadcasters of all time, Bob Costas not Thank you so much for doing this.
00:15:53
Takes to the Virginias, Michael.
00:15:56
Thank you.
00:15:57
And thank Josh and Luke.
00:15:59
And congratulations on winning the contest and helping to raise money for a worth.
00:16:03
Because so the floor is yours.
00:16:05
Whatever you want to ask, I hope.
00:16:06
Perhaps an answer.
00:16:08
Are you currently work for Emily Network as a put up Like I, uh, before you were for NBC sports who were hosting and you know that you put up like a boxing Golf, baseball, NASCAR, basketball, focal hockey, the Olympics.
00:16:21
You know use on horse racing.
00:16:23
You don't talk to those who made appearances on HBO's sports and now have a interview show on MLB Network called Studio 42 with Bob Costas 1 28 Emmy Awards hosted 11 Olympic games.
00:16:34
You know, Syracuse University love, you know that That's a lot.
00:16:37
And you're also in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
00:16:40
And the same it was Sports Hall s.
00:16:42
Oh, I want to know, you know, we know all that.
00:16:44
What was the jury like? How did you get there where you are, right? Well, going to Syracuse University was a purposeful thing from a standpoint of becoming a broadcaster in the early 19 seventies.
00:16:57
Most universities have journalism departments, but they were almost exclusively print.
00:17:03
Syracuse was way ahead of the curve in that they had a communications department that was already pretty well developed, already had professional level facilities from a radio, that celebration, and they took the broadcast part of it.
00:17:18
Shooter is right, so that, coupled with the fact that I was aware that Marty Glickman, who privately invented how basketball should be called on radio and lose the first course of the next and later the legendary voice of the New York Giants on radio football on all kinds of other sports around your bark, that Marty placement and just for the shame Marv Albert and both concerts is since then, you probably wear that.
00:17:44
Syracuse is pretty much SportsCastr.
00:17:45
You dozens and dozens of very accomplished voice jesters have come out of Syracuse.
00:17:50
So starting there, I was able to get experience hands on on our experience, beginning when I was a freshman.
00:17:58
I was just 18 years old and none of us at that stage there really all that good.
00:18:02
But at least you get your feet wet.
00:18:04
You get some sense of how.
00:18:05
What ISS.
00:18:06
And after that, I was lucky enough that it's going to land a job in ST Louis doing games in the old American Basketball Association.
00:18:14
When I was 24 I did my first network broadcast.
00:18:18
Did football and basketball or seat? Yes, someone at NBC.
00:18:22
You noticed me in a separate just freelance work.
00:18:24
They hired me full time when I was 27 on.
00:18:28
I was perfectly happy doing what I was doing.
00:18:30
Play by play of regional football games, a backup baseball game of the week on NBC.
00:18:36
And then you know things just have to happen or tend to happen, and you have to be ready to combat the opportunity when it presents itself.
00:18:43
Bryant Gumbel, a very, very accomplished broadcaster, left his position as the host of almost everything at NBC Sports to become one of the hosts of the titillation.
00:18:53
And at that point they had number one.
00:18:55
But moving into Brian slot, and I had never done much hosting.
00:18:59
I've never read a teleprompter.
00:19:01
Almost everything I have done was I radio stuff where I'm by my place.
00:19:05
I it was all that play by play, not host, but they don't that I could do it.
00:19:10
They threw me in kind of without much of an audition and from there, since I did pretty well with that, that leads with a lot of other things, including programs, outsides, forwards and then eventually hosting the Olympics.
00:19:22
You know, one thing led to another is kind of the way that often goes answering what do you enjoy more play by player hosting? I enjoyed play by playing of baseball and storage with very much.
00:19:38
I loved it when I did play by play of the end A on NBC, Michael Jordan, Ankara in the nineties.
00:19:44
And generally speaking, the things I enjoy most are play by play off Those two sports, especially long form interviews and hosting that has some sort of commentary in journalism.
00:20:00
Second, there are perfectly for Luke.
00:20:02
All right, So, uh, look, by the way, I have a question for you.
00:20:07
Yeah, he decides, besides the fact that we can discern that you're a Bronco fan, are you in the federal witness protection program? I am here.
00:20:16
I appear to be over lead.
00:20:18
Josh and Michael are properly lit, and you are in deep shadows.
00:20:27
Okay, I'll try this one on too.
00:20:29
Is that home? There you go.
00:20:31
All right.
00:20:32
So much that I have.
00:20:33
No, I have no lights on at all in my house.
00:20:35
It's just I'm on the West Coast.
00:20:37
It's just natural life.
00:20:38
Yeah, Naxalite is coming in, but pitch black? Yeah, with the well, we Alright? So back in May and April, Uh, we saw one of the greatest sports do***entaries of all time, The last dance, and we saw you in that as Well, whether it was a talking head interview or it was voiceovers on the highlights that during the gate Well, those little best vote smoke, those weren't voiceovers.
00:21:08
Oh, yeah, I got a lie.
00:21:10
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:21:14
So what was it like to be part of the last dance? Well, they interviewed me at some length several months before the do***entary premiered, so I was aware that was gonna be in it.
00:21:26
Toe wanted to stand or another.
00:21:28
The most of the honest thing about it for me was hearing all the play by play clips.
00:21:36
I've done those games, right? I hadn't heard any of them into 22 years on, and I didn't remember what I said in.
00:21:44
In each case, I remembered pretty much what I said on Michael Joints Last shot, Game six against Utah.
00:21:50
But all the things leading up to that, it was a revelation to me.
00:21:53
Oh, I said that until can start that.
00:21:56
And I say at the time said that So I was kind of reliving it, and it will be back. How gratifying.
00:22:02
What's to be part of something which even then I realized it wasn't just that at year's end Be a champion chalian.
00:22:09
It was one of the epic stories in American sports history, and I knew even then that people would be talking about it well beyond that season.
00:22:17
Insulin acts and they're still talking.
00:22:20
Absolutely.
00:22:21
You were there for, you know, you were covering Michael Jordan's career or your or your there could be a big gains on Michael Jordan was playing, you know, and I'm sure that was a thrill, cause he's now the greatest of all time.
00:22:35
Yeah, yes, we knew.
00:22:40
We knew even then that he was in the discussion of the greatest of all time.
00:22:44
Some had already proclaimed him that it's difficult to compare athletes from one year into the next because the cir***stances under which they did, they do the great things they do by different an investable.
00:22:57
It's very difficult to compare a guard or forwards with center.
00:23:00
I don't know how you could hear like two will shape or curry or some of them like that.
00:23:07
Let's certainly no one could rank ahead of Michael Jordan, right both in his individual talents and his accomplishments.
00:23:15
His teams won six Endia titles.
00:23:18
It was the M V P in all six n b A. Finals.
00:23:21
You want 10 scoring titles? How is a case to be made from Iran, perhaps on mere physical ability? A brought LeBron's bigger and stronger.
00:23:33
If that's been blankly argument, really, he can play.
00:23:36
You can play four positions on a court other than center.
00:23:39
He doesn't have any limitation.
00:23:41
Is weak, Grant LeBron all of that.
00:23:44
But LeBron's accomplishments equal to Michael Jordan's accomplishments.
00:23:49
So until further notice in my book, Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time.
00:23:53
I'm with you.
00:23:55
Yeah, so what? We've covered seven Super Bowls, some of the number.
00:24:01
Yeah, that's the number.
00:24:03
Oh, right around there. Yeah.
00:24:05
So for me, probably the best game that you cover out of the seven with Super Bowl 49 between the Patriots and Seahawks.
00:24:13
Malcolm Butler interceptions.
00:24:15
So what was it like for for covering Zabul? But, I mean, that game in particular was incredible.
00:24:22
It's that game, as other things like the Jordan shot will live forever in sports history.
00:24:28
It is my role there is much less integral than that about Michael's Cris Collinsworth.
00:24:34
So you handle a six hour pregame show.
00:24:38
You know that the halftime show on a Super Bowl is just a quick in and out before getting out of the way for the big halftime extra***anza of entertainment.
00:24:47
And then the postgame show is gonna be an extended postgame show.
00:24:50
So what you're doing is the host is your making medical knows, especially throughout the second half of what the various keep bonus were the turning points might have been.
00:25:00
And in that case, the case of that game, things shifted point.
00:25:06
One moment I'm thinking that the Patriots have been yet again deny in the Super Bowl and the CIA, bouts of won back to back super bolts.
00:25:17
So I'm imagining Russell Wilson being interviewed and Pete Carroll being interviewed.
00:25:23
Uh, Marston Lynch refusing Teoh.
00:25:27
I'm imagining all that on this year.
00:25:29
So I get Iran now what steps in and and rewrites Sprint.
00:25:35
But what I had to think about and what I had Dude was much less impressive and much less important than what Al Michaels had.
00:25:46
He's doing a play by play in real time in the moment, and Alice stunt your master of his craft.
00:25:53
If you go back and listen to that call, very few people could have anticipated that play turning out the way. It's good.
00:26:00
Malcolm Butler was not a big name.
00:26:02
Stars undrafted rookie.
00:26:05
He had grown up.
00:26:06
Undrafted rookie.
00:26:07
He immediately identified, Uh, you don't you live in fear? When you're a play by play person? It will screw up in a big moment, especially at the social media era.
00:26:19
Where will live in infamy if you mess it up and how I'm not aware of any time when I was pressed it up, but he faced that unlike you.
00:26:28
How Michael's definitely not all right, You've covered 11 Olympics hosted deal Olympics 11 times, and we just, you know, a ton.
00:26:37
And the world is once you know, it's Olympic time.
00:26:41
The whole world.
00:26:42
Arthur Review in the Face of the Earth is a year of the Olympics.
00:26:44
So what is that like having you know, a bunch of people from all over the world washing you when you goes Well, I don't think about people watching your world lied, but I do think of tens of millions of people in my time watching me in the United States and over time since the Olympics are basically a nearly three week miniseries, that's what it is in a prime time out.
00:27:08
The network the host the Olympics has.
00:27:11
It's a real on in all day parts because, like NBC has multiple life forms, they've got MSNBC that got nbcsn.
00:27:20
Now the sports network.
00:27:21
They've got Telemundo another.
00:27:23
So at various times, day and night, and a lot of stuff is going on.
00:27:26
But I've only been on the exception of the first Olympics.
00:27:29
I didn t a It's all Korea.
00:27:31
When Bryant Gumbel's primetime host times late night host, I've only been on in prime time.
00:27:36
So what I'm thinking about is that my role is to provide an overview.
00:27:43
I don't have to memorize every platform diver from grew or every cross countries skiers from Norway.
00:27:50
I need to be well informed on the story lines that are gonna take up most of the time in prime time.
00:27:58
I need to know a lot about the history of the Olympics.
00:28:00
Like things in perspective, I need to know a good bit about Khost City on the host nation because I could come into play.
00:28:09
The hosts of the Olympics is a SportsCastr, yes, but he's also a times a news broadcaster.
00:28:14
Also it's times journalists.
00:28:16
Also at the time, at times he's conducting to travel the long because a lot of the viewers aren't interested just in the competition are also interested in the host city of the host nation.
00:28:26
Not just the tourist sites, but some of the to start a little background.
00:28:30
And I looked at that as a good fortune of my job.
00:28:34
I didn't have to know as much about each individual venue and each individual event as the experts were at that time you call us.
00:28:43
That's have the That's the way I saw.
00:28:46
If if I was thinking every single moment, uh, X number of millions of people are watching May and probably judging me, then you couldn't do your job After the first couple that I did, I was comfortable doing it.
00:29:01
I knew how to do it, and I knew that it was impossible to it perfectly in the minds of the entire audience, because people come to an Olympics with so many different expectations.
00:29:12
A lot of people watch the Olympics avidly, who are not really sports fans.
00:29:16
Hard from that, they don't watch that much baseball, football, basketball.
00:29:20
In fact, you might be amazed to hear that.
00:29:24
Maybe not often, but at least a few times over the years I've had people say to me, What do you do when you're not doing the Olympics? I don't know.
00:29:33
The Super Bowl, the N B A Finals, the Kentucky Derby, the World Series because they only watch the Olympics.
00:29:39
So you have to be money full, especially as the prime time host of the producers have to be mindful that a lot of the people watching in prime time aren't watching for granular detail about the pole vault or every aspect of gymnastics.
00:29:56
And if they are, they get that from the people of the venue.
00:29:59
They're looking for big picture stories and personal stories, a backdrop type stuff, and it was our job to deliver that.
00:30:07
Yeah, and aside from the big Olympic sports like soccer like a big sports soccer basketball, yet hockey, they get blends in Olympics.
00:30:17
Let's want what's the most like entertaining to cover outside of those look surprisingly entertaining sports, right? Yeah, because, President, Well, I mean the most obvious twenties curl.
00:30:28
I knew it went over in the Winter Olympics, which is just I mean, it's when you and I said a few reverend things on the air, most people appreciate it.
00:30:36
Like I said, You can't please everybody as they come through with different perspectives.
00:30:40
And some people think the Olympics should be like church, that it would suit all these solemn and serious and never having your reverence.
00:30:46
And that's no sun around.
00:30:48
Well, I I think it all those times, But I remember saying, You know what's great about curling? You're watching curling, and you realize that if they win the team that wins, they take home gold medals.
00:31:01
They're exactly the same as Michael Phelps.
00:31:04
Gold medals, 3% be the same as Bonnie Blair's gold medals.
00:31:09
They're exactly the same as the gold medal such Jesse Owens won in 1936.
00:31:13
They will be able to save 50 years from now. It's similar radio.
00:31:16
That's why Olympic gold level, and they did it to a sport that you could actually be drinking beer and eating a hamburger while you're doing the equivalent of the equivalent of curling.
00:31:29
And it's probably being involved.
00:31:30
More athleticism, curling about skill, though.
00:31:33
Yes, I noticed a billiards billiards involved still, but you could you could be quite a bit out of shape of a non athlete and the good billiards curling about skill.
00:31:43
I don't know how much athleticism it involves.
00:31:46
Race walking, which is a niche sport in America, is actually a big deals for it in parts of the world, especially Eastern Europe.
00:31:55
But to an American viewer looking at it, it's just kind of funny, another kind of wandering along and back on their heels and going as fast as I can, but without ever really breaking into a job.
00:32:07
And so I said at one Olympics might have been early in 92 in Barcelona.
00:32:12
You know, having a contest having a rake is just you can walk the fastest is like having a contest to see who can whisper the loudest I going on, By the way, that actually what? I just aren't running.
00:32:27
Most people thought that was funny, but a small number of people who are really into the race walking in the United States did not take kindly to it, but best an occupational hazard.
00:32:37
When you sit in that state as a natural love person that they can actually pretty well that whisper, just work I think I would be pretty.
00:32:46
All right.
00:32:47
So we found an article from a long time ago who they were considering you for the MLB commissioner job.
00:32:55
Who's now sickened by Rob Manfred.
00:32:57
Is it true that you were a potential candidate for that position? No.
00:33:02
There was a time when it was frequently mentioned.
00:33:06
Never buy me and whatever was mention I shot it down.
00:33:10
I said, You know, I appreciate it, but I don't really think of myself as qualified.
00:33:15
I background my temperament.
00:33:18
May be the commissioner of baseball.
00:33:20
At that time I was, I guess I still am, uh, somewhat outspoken and occasionally opinionated about baseball and what I stand resonated with a lot of people.
00:33:30
And so my name was tossed around, and sometimes it still is tossed around this possible commissioner of baseball.
00:33:37
But I never considered its beauty possibility, and I never really thought that I was qualified.
00:33:43
If you were to have the MLB Mr Job, what in today's Gabe? Would you change? What would you try to be better? Well, leaving aside the very complicated and damaging issue off the relationship between the owners of the Christian and the players Association on, they're gonna have to come to grips with it again very shortly.
00:34:05
A bitter dispute this summer which the nation did not appreciate its that all the other patrols that are going on, uh, the nation did not appreciate that culprits wobbling, but next head on, it is just around the corner.
00:34:18
And I don't envy rock man for that negotiations, but in terms of the game itself, face to play just the biggest issue.
00:34:29
You know, I favor a 22nd hits clock with nobody on base to keep things moving along.
00:34:36
I favor umpires, uh, urging hitters.
00:34:41
And if they ignore those urgings calling a strike or whatever is necessary to keep them from stepping out of the box after every pitch you don't.
00:34:50
During this period of time when we haven't had President Day baseball, we shone all time games that we pulled it out of the archives.
00:34:58
And one of the things that struck me about those gates is that sometimes you can see as many as three pitches from within 20 seconds.
00:35:07
There's no rule making it happened.
00:35:09
That was just the pace of the game.
00:35:11
Catcher returned the ball into the picture I destroyed vanity took all on.
00:35:16
He didn't leave the batter's box.
00:35:17
He looked at me, nodded.
00:35:18
He got his side and get in that the pace of play.
00:35:21
Is it so much how long the game boats is? Your guy game is 10 day.
00:35:25
There's lots of these time that you don't hear of that case pre Alice 50 minutes.
00:35:28
But the game is three toe one, and there's all kinds of pitching changes, and not much happens.
00:35:33
And that gives its pre Oscar.
00:35:36
You don't appreciate it.
00:35:37
So paced play it is really weren't issue.
00:35:41
And at the heart of it, or at least part of it, is that the modern ****ytics revolution in baseball.
00:35:48
Many work for giving teams a winning edge, but it works against what makes baseball answers, handing simply the all or nothing aspect of it.
00:35:59
Ah, home runner Dumpling front offices don't mind if you get five minutes of the game of three of them are holders.
00:36:06
They don't mind if you don't mind all the strikeouts, but the ball is in play less off, so you get fewer spectacular defensive plays, fewer doubles being spread in the triples or guys trying to go from first to third to score from first on a double, and the shifts may make sense competitively, but they take a lot of great baseball plays away on.
00:36:27
They also take basic.
00:36:28
It's away, which means there are fewer base runners.
00:36:31
And the ****ytics say that, except in certain situations, that stolen bases, not the high percentage point but the soul home base has always been a very exciting play in baseball.
00:36:42
Players in motion and throws and tags and baseball plays there.
00:36:47
Too many games now that don't have enough baseball place in baseball supposed to have a pleasing, leisurely case.
00:36:55
It's not supposed to have a slow as molasses, meandering pace, and that's the issue that baseball has to front.
00:37:02
It would be helpful if the players recognize that they have a stake and not to the more feeling that game is, the better the business of baseball to and by extension, the better Everybody involved, including the players with Yeah, and I said the fans would like that.
00:37:19
More is, you know, I I know some people that don't watch baseball because because they don't like basing its too slow for them, right, That's my biggest issue with right, not saying that's my biggest issue with it is the pace of play.
00:37:36
Exactly what you just said is exactly as someone who just not a huge baseball fan.
00:37:41
If they did exactly what you said personally, I would find baseball up more entertaining because I'm not waiting for every pitch.
00:37:48
Thanks.
00:37:49
Well, the other thing is that you don't invest.
00:37:53
Think of a movie you don't invest if a movie last two hours and 45 minutes.
00:38:00
But you can only stay out for two hours, you know, I'm going to say, Well, at least I saw most of it.
00:38:05
You can see the other commit.
00:38:06
You're not going to invest all the time leading up to it.
00:38:09
So if you're checking your watch and where two hours in and we're only in the fifth inning and it's the week night, it's school night.
00:38:17
Under normal cir***stances and getting under normal cir***stances, we'd like to go to work.
00:38:21
And very often this is true off season.
00:38:23
Yet because the most important games, the postseason games, tend to be even longer than the average regular season game, and you have a lot of people saying to themselves.
00:38:31
Gee, I love to invest my time in this, but I can't stay up until past midnight.
00:38:36
So it isn't that I'm gonna bail on it at 11.
00:38:39
I'm gonna bail on it right now because I know I can't invest enough of my time to see it through to the at.
00:38:47
Yeah.
00:38:49
So over your career, you've done many things you've called many incredible moments from Kobe's value.
00:38:58
The shack on Western Conference finals to Jordan's final.
00:39:02
Shocked. They're cheaters.
00:39:03
Walk off single against my Baltimore Orioles.
00:39:06
Um, there is a very interesting story that we found about Kirby Puckett in your son.
00:39:13
Um and of course, pinkeye him the optics.
00:39:18
So of all of those things are, once we did mention will be one story that's just really a stood out on your career.
00:39:27
Well, I I think that clearly my greatest cheap it was managing to soldier through the Olympics with pink eye.
00:39:35
And people sometimes say, you know, I guess they mean well, they're just looking for a conversational icebreaker.
00:39:41
I'll be in an airport or something In someone starts Kaibab, How you blah blah on The next thing is you remember that time I let this and I know what I don't recall that I remember fresh. Find a memory.
00:39:57
Why would I remember having some kind of affliction that couldn't be hidden like a broken leg could be hidden under a table? Or if you just felt lousy, you could just show up at work and don't know.
00:40:08
Why would I remember that on all of America was talking about.
00:40:13
And it was only a few years.
00:40:15
But why would I remember that? No, I have no idea.
00:40:18
Remind me again what? On the congressional.
00:40:21
That's one thing.
00:40:22
Uh, I was in the Red Sox dugout, a clubhouse rabbit.
00:40:28
I wasn't in the dugout before, but then I wound up in their clubhouse in 1986 when their lead in the World Series slipped. What a stadium.
00:40:39
And the, uh, curse was prolonged from 1986 until I finally broke it in 2000.
00:40:47
For for the moment through Buckner's legs and everything else, I was in the clubhouse thinking I was going to interview a victorious Red Sox team.
00:40:56
And then when that'll all unravels, uh, we could adul out the homily door in terms.
00:41:02
No sign of us when the Red Sox and trudging down the tunnel on into the visitors clubhouse, chased A I was also in the corner of the Dodger dugout two years later, when Curtis and get one of the most dramatic all Mosley, a small street game one of the World Series.
00:41:17
Brain calls by Vince Fairly on television and Jack Buck on the radio over it was five up through the postgame show.
00:41:23
I jumped out on the field and interviewed Kirk, 8/7 in the immediate aftermath when Mohammed Ali lit the torch.
00:41:30
Yeah, Theo opening ceremony in Atlanta, Connivance United six.
00:41:34
That was a goose bump raising moment that people still talk about with great reverence and a Michael Jordan shot.
00:41:42
I realized in that moment that it was just an exciting from collusion to in N B A finals.
00:41:49
Every N B A Finals is a big story in that moment or not pieces time.
00:41:55
But I knew that this was something bigger than that.
00:41:59
I knew that Michael Jordan would be not only on the cover of Sports Illustrated, that this would be a big story on the front pages of newspapers, not just sports section.
00:42:07
It would be something that transcended mere for sports fans.
00:42:11
And that's still the highest rated game in N BA history.
00:42:15
And Michael Jordan, With all due respect, the other's Michael Jordan, just I devise a different place in pop culture.
00:42:22
So I knew in that moment it wasn't enough.
00:42:24
Just say, Here's the score at Here's the leading scorers and all the nuts and bolts for the game that I had to put it into some sort of a larger context.
00:42:35
And I did the best I could in that moment, and you referenced the last dance.
00:42:40
When we started this watching the last stance, it was gratifying that what I stand in that moment still holds up pretty well.
00:42:49
Maybe it holds up even better than it did then 22 years down the road, because I was aware on some level that this was not just a story for that year, that it was a story.
00:43:00
It's points terms.
00:43:01
It was a story for the ages.
00:43:04
Yeah, I mean, those are all great play sports, you know, defining moments in history for for the world of sports.
00:43:12
Uh, so we say thank you so much by doing this, we really appreciate it, and it's been really fine.
00:43:19
It's a great insights, but the way we would like to wrap a burning bins be ask one final question.
00:43:25
If you have one piece of advice for aspiring sports broadcasters, it's Josh speak, and I are.
00:43:31
What would that be? Apart from wearing the white shirt and tie at all time, like a latter day member of the cost of sense? Um, I wouldn't say yet as well rounded education as you can.
00:43:50
Don't just confine yourself narrowly to sports.
00:43:54
The more well informed you are the broader.
00:43:57
Your frame of reference is better broadcaster you will be and who are interesting you will be toe listen into.
00:44:03
Plus you never know.
00:44:04
The road takes lots of twists and turns.
00:44:07
You may decide you want to do something else, but you may want to be involved in parts SP.
00:44:10
But behind the scenes supper to do sir, as a director or something like that.
00:44:14
So get a broad based liberal arts education and get as much hands on broadcasting experience as you can.
00:44:23
Don't be too hard on yourself.
00:44:25
You're not gonna be fantastic.
00:44:26
Your voices on kind of sound when you're your age or a few years older.
00:44:31
When you're in college, it's not gonna sound the way you over it was found.
00:44:34
Eventually, you're not gonna have all of the craftsmanship of it down being be critical.
00:44:41
Yes, Listen to it.
00:44:43
With a critical ear, maybe you'll have a teacher or an older person less from broadcasting experience.
00:44:49
We will review it with you and off constructive criticism.
00:44:52
So you want to do that? But don't be too hard on yourself.
00:44:56
If you're gonna listen to your tapes to the first year or two they were doing this and say, Why don't I sound like gymnasts fired, guys, Good is my paprika.
00:45:05
Oh, you're gonna destroy your confidence right off the back.
00:45:09
Cut yourself a little more slack than that.
00:45:11
And then when it's kind comes to actually try and land your first jobs, send out as many tapes or now it might be video links, as you can send out of 100 of them and just play the law of averages.
00:45:26
Maybe two or three will get back to you.
00:45:28
And don't take it personally when you either don't hear back when you get some sort of polite form letter or email that says we're not interested because there are hundreds of not thousands of other people out the same idea.
00:45:40
So don't take that.
00:45:41
It's personal rejection.
00:45:42
Don't let it thank your confidence.
00:45:44
Throw everything against the wall that you possibly can send out as many applications as you possibly can.
00:45:51
And maybe a handful of them will return with a positive reaction and then build your resume.
00:45:58
Don't confine yourself.
00:46:00
Just a sports broadcasting if you've got a situation where they want you to do high school basketball with some small radio station.
00:46:06
But then on the weekends they also want you to read the news reports.
00:46:10
Do it.
00:46:11
Do anything that gets you on the air that helps to build your resume and build your background as a broadcaster.
00:46:18
And then you'll move step by step.
00:46:21
Great advice.
00:46:22
Thank you.
00:46:23
Thank you so much.
00:46:24
Food. You know this. We really appreciate it very much.
00:46:26
Yeah, very welcome.
00:46:27
Thank you, Michael.
00:46:28
Thank you, Josh.
00:46:30
Absolutely an honor having you on the next interpreter.
00:46:36
Good block. Ancient.
00:46:38
Thank you. Thank you.
00:46:39
All right.
00:46:40
I'm Good Night's trio.
00:46:41
Say about it.
00:46:43
All right.
00:46:48

00:46:49
So again, don't leave.
00:46:51
Just yet.
00:46:52
We're going to take a couple minute break, but yeah.
00:46:55
So it would have been, like, five minutes to stay here.
00:46:58
We will be right back.
00:46:59
So we will have a normal show today, Um, on the next.
00:47:04
But you'll be in a couple minutes.
00:47:06
So stated go anywhere commercial work without the commercial interruption, right? Yeah.
00:47:12
You Well, you'll see the next Logan.
00:47:13

00:47:19

00:47:23
Don't go.
00:50:37
All right.
00:50:38
What was that? That was great.
00:50:42
That that was how does great.
00:50:46
Yeah.
00:50:47

00:51:25

00:51:26

00:51:28
No, it's not.
00:51:29
I got the change into my caps shirts.
00:51:31
01 more thing.
00:51:32

00:51:36

00:51:37
It's like I need to lie completely, you know? Looked for across his head.
00:51:41

00:51:43
The whole interview that you should just, like, put that on just on.
00:51:48
Yeah, well, them all right.
00:51:51
We already have 262 viewers. Whoa.
00:51:56

00:51:58
Keep that number going up.
00:51:59
Let's go.
00:52:02
All right, so we got some news.
00:52:04
Uh, David Guetta will not Here.
00:52:07
He's like his lips were moving.
00:52:08
We can't hear you.
00:52:15
Uh, okay.
00:52:16
Now you can probably hear me.
00:52:19
I was just about to say Ah, and could it want it? Including those viewers is swaggy D who just left us a popcorn, which is a 206 tip.
00:52:30

00:52:32
That's a very kind.
00:52:35

00:55:28
This is NFL, right? Yes.
00:55:32
Our 2020 predictions last I want I want I want you to spring.
00:55:38
Really? Official Who is going to win offensive Rookie of the Year Alec to you to go first.
00:55:44
I'm gonna let Josh go first.
00:55:45
You probably all know my mind.
00:55:48
I want to stress this again.
00:55:50
Not official predictions.
00:55:53
So nobody is allowed to hold me to this.
00:55:55
If somebody else went all right with that being said, I will say Jonathan Taylor.
00:56:04
I know Operation.
00:56:05
What? I will uphold.
00:56:08
What do you think? Um, uh, bad sarcasm.
00:56:13
Sarcasm.
00:56:14
I'll go. Jonathan Taylor.
00:56:16
I do like Herbert as well as a potential candidate, but I don't know how long how many gangs is gonna play this year, so yeah.
00:56:23
Um, I'll go.
00:56:24
John Taylor all played safe.
00:56:25
But again, not my official prediction.
00:56:28
My prick is also Jonathan Taylor.
00:56:30
I was gonna say him to, uh I mean, Jonathan Taylor, as Brian said earlier today, he is the most pro ready running back.
00:56:42
That was of the draft, and he was acting sake.
00:56:45
Want my opinion? Well, uh, since Tae kwon, in my opinion, yeah, Josh Jacobs is pretty program. Everything.
00:56:51
Taylor is the John? Yeah.
00:56:54
I mean, I just think he he's the April ready player, and he's gonna be able to take over the season.
00:57:04
Michael shot Nick with your pick.
00:57:07
My pick is a guy I've been hyping up for a very long time, and he is just it hurt.
00:57:13
No kidding.
00:57:17
Teoh.
00:57:18
Taco, My lower Ah, a great rookie year.
00:57:25
He won't play is go by zero starts.
00:57:29
Just wait one.
00:57:31
And originally I had the Dolphins going 10 and six.
00:57:33
And for those of you that don't know, I have changed my picks.
00:57:40
The Dolphins no longer go 10 and six.
00:57:43
They go nine and seven.
00:57:46
Bumper Dallas or you're almost there. It's seven now.
00:57:49
Almost there are still at minus seven.
00:57:52
But this is because of the Cam Newton thing, which we should probably make a topic side.
00:57:56
And I could just talk about it.
00:57:59
No, but are you so so? And Bills are still builders.
00:58:06
So my and seven and then the hatreds are the Patriots pagers. Air eight.
00:58:14
Nate.
00:58:15
All right.
00:58:16
So I brought my athletes work of the Earth to her.
00:58:17
I mean, he doesn't necessarily have all the weapons, but he's got a great arm.
00:58:24
He's got athleticism.
00:58:25
He's gone after you were.
00:58:27
So he's got power strength.
00:58:30
He's very good at staying healthy.
00:58:31
Is all of you know, uh, he is a great role.
00:58:34
He's a He's a great rush around, especially defense.
00:58:37
He has a good roster.
00:58:40
I mean, Josh, you you love Jordan had word.
00:58:44
I like that. Matt.
00:58:46
Brita.
00:58:47
I love Jordan are back to front.
00:58:48
A Parker.
00:58:49
I can't wait to see, like, a step.
00:58:51
He's gonna Democrat lower on the day.
00:58:54
You don't have a really solid number two receiver. I mean, Albert will.
00:58:57
Do You know what? I think this once the dolphins in the east, they got a draft.
00:59:04
Jalen Waddle.
00:59:06
So for two, uh, so who also fall a draft is also part of that prediction.
00:59:11
Because if they win the hose, no, he's not gonna fall in the draft.
00:59:16
What? We're gonna expecting to go.
00:59:18
Well, yeah, I think that part back I jump the gun on that one. Never mind.
00:59:25
I think you think of Devante Smith tomatoes, Mr Better See? Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
00:59:29
Exactly what's going to actually write waterless? Really good.
00:59:32
But I put Devante Smith, but yeah, so, to, uh, it's gonna get some weapons along the way.
00:59:39
I wouldn't be shocked if they pick a guy like you know what? You know what? I'm about to make a prediction right here on the spot.
00:59:49
I'm going to make a bold take.
00:59:50
Oh, no. Here it comes.
00:59:53
The Dolphins should sign.
00:59:55
Here comes Onedio Prod.
00:59:58
No, A dolphins need to sign Antonio Brown.
01:00:05
Can I remove him in the stream? No, no cause and talk address.
01:00:13
You won't really matter for you.
01:00:14
My allowed to remove it from the street.
01:00:18
You know, you gotta realize it's gonna be good for dolphins and you because apparently, you know you don't want to 21 in Baltimore.
01:00:23
Do you really think I come anywhere near here? Most of Miami? He's not What is going on behind you right now.
01:00:31
I don't know what is going on behind you right now.
01:00:34
What? What key levers translate to? Maybe you know, Dina.
01:00:41
All right, way not move on me trying to around 20 my best for the decade, right? He's much too licking Godolphin's night.
01:00:52
The number two guy, he will be number.
01:00:54
What? He'll be the number one guy, right? Right.
01:00:58
So right.
01:01:00
And he, Antonio Brown could provide that.
01:01:05
And I a person believe that if the Dolphins do San Antonio Brown, they could be as hyped up is last year's Browns and could be similar cause the characters, they don't have any right now.
01:01:20
All right, I want to go first because I know that if Josh goes that, it'll be about driving up E o.
01:01:28
I don't exactly Yeah.
01:01:31
So I don't disagree with you.
01:01:33
I mean, at first, my reaction was a savings.
01:01:36
Josh, I don't want it, don't I? I don't think I'm not going to say that.
01:01:42
I agree with him but a doctor to see that big sense.
01:01:45
But what I've also black would say is that it doesn't make sense.
01:01:49
It doesn't.
01:01:51
What is wrong with Antonio Brown going to the Dolphins? Antonio Brown will play for any team.
01:01:58
Except for the Steelers, Raiders and patriots.
01:02:00
That's keep fighting the pain trees.
01:02:03
Yeah.
01:02:04
I was about to say Yeah, if he if he was able to go back compatriots, which they would never offer, uh, then he would take it.
01:02:11
But other than other than those two teams, the Raiders of the Steelers, he will play for probably anybody.
01:02:18
The Dolphins are a team that these right now in their division is the camp.
01:02:23
Do and patriots air the bills.
01:02:26
Who made the playoffs with without? They made the playoffs with a child Brady in their division.
01:02:32
Now, without, they will be a playoff team.
01:02:35
Uh, great.
01:02:36
And obviously the Jets are gonna do anything this season.
01:02:39
But if the Dolphins add Antonio, somebody like Antonio round to their team that Josh floored apartment.
01:02:50
No denarius Thomas, I don't get the logic.
01:02:54
And guess what, Luke.
01:02:55
Guess what? What were thing? Antonio Brown is gonna get signed to a minimum contract.
01:03:00
That talent, that skill set that production for about a little Nemo contra deserves to be the highest paper Seaver people.
01:03:11
He's not gonna make anything near that because he's so good and he's gonna be so little and he knows he's gonna need so well, he's gonna ask for a little, because if he's not gonna get little, he's not gonna get anything if he could.
01:03:25
By the way, what he needs to do first is find an agent, right? He does not have one joke.
01:03:35
I'm being serious.
01:03:36
These defines a mental institution during his brain, right? And then then you could come back.
01:03:42
And I wasn't kidding with that either.
01:03:44
He needs to get his brain right before he is able to play, you know, what we need to leave.
01:03:50
The more Jackson's mom? Yeah, I don't know about her. Maybe.
01:03:55
God, Well, she's his agent, and he she's also like his mentor, and she keeps and, like, calm and everything in it.
01:04:01
She has done an excellent job because she got all excited.
01:04:05
You're right.
01:04:07
Not like out there, you know, speaking out.
01:04:09
Are you keeping me? I would.
01:04:12
The island could vehicle itching like crazy Me? Yeah.
01:04:16
Yeah, I know.
01:04:17
I wanna your friend left out, but a day will be like that.
01:04:21
I guarantee you, if I even come back, you will not do a difference program.
01:04:25
You will not, but our anyway, Michael know what is? Yeah.
01:04:29
He used to get a guy like you are a girl.
01:04:32
Someone like like Mark Jackson's mom.
01:04:34
So I don't have you said until, except for the name Antonio.
01:04:42
If you said any other free agent veteran wide receiver, I would have no problem with it.
01:04:49
But, you know, are they should go after, like, these trade from I didn't know what if Yeah, I already have a slot for that.
01:05:01
What? We've won didn't Cleveland's not gonna trade him but anywhere, Evelina, but V.
01:05:08
But don't you think it makes sense? I think it makes it.
01:05:11
I think signing a receiver makes sense.
01:05:13
I don't think signing Antonio Brown make sense to anybody, right? Signing one of the best.
01:05:18
OK, so you like.
01:05:19
It's a great That's where I disagree.
01:05:21

01:05:30
He their eventual helping me.
01:05:33
He's he's in trouble with the law.
01:05:36
He's proven that he just he can't remember things sometimes.
01:05:41
I mean, it's just he needs some help there.
01:05:44
Remember, if he's open to being able to do that for nine years, he memorized the Steelers playbook.
01:05:50
He can remember enough memory memories, but here's then.
01:05:56
Well, maybe because that voters perfect it has been Roberto actually have damage to some of his Bensel.
01:06:02
Yeah, but it was fine in Pittsburgh.
01:06:06
Yeah, no.
01:06:07
Yeah, I I feel like they're I mean, the biggest part there's that you need to hear the states to help.
01:06:13
That's absolute, And but I feel like the vote next perfect play heard Vontaze Burfict brain more than it did in Tokyo, Rose.
01:06:21
You could not more wrong there, but I'm this I'm coming out.
01:06:24
What? Here's the other thing that you guys haven't take into account.
01:06:27
If he gets signed, you don't have him for week one.
01:06:30
You probably for six weeks because he's going to get suspended from the NFL.
01:06:34
The NFL, right.
01:06:35
Doing an investigation, you won't add up.
01:06:37
What? Midseason? Guess what? Guess what? Guess what.
01:06:43
And they're giving a minimum contract anyway.
01:06:45
30 is gonna be paying less then just great.
01:06:53
The third we're seeing I don't care.
01:06:55
And I'm a pain.
01:06:56
I don't want him on my team or any room.
01:06:59
All right, All right. You're fine. Fine, fine.
01:07:01
I understand your argument.
01:07:03
You're saying you don't want one of the best receivers in the NFL on a minimum deal? Not even for a week now.
01:07:08
Even if I did it because he worked with my locker room.
01:07:13
This is not mad.
01:07:14
And you can't let your best players it's all about it. Scheme.
01:07:18
Fick lottery Freight coach, Right.

So you know, I see a point you're telling me someone that hasn't done anything crazy in like three months for three whole months the same time period that you've been stuck at home like the rest of the country have been trapped inside that why that's slowing large.
01:07:42
Jackson ran to a jet ski that's pretty crazy inside of his house.
01:07:45
His training.
01:07:47
So what? I work crazy than Juan Antonio Brown's been doing over quarantine, which is Ah, you're truthful.
01:07:55
But he's been going personally.
01:07:57
Here's my Randall Jet ski.
01:07:59

01:09:20
No, I'm saying even if you don't agree, then I would still be 1/3 chance.
01:09:23
What you see that makes it deserve that.
01:09:24
Third chance, Uh, wait on me that I needed to think about your question.

01:12:21
How Maney on field chances to get with the Raiders? I just wanted I've decided hearing this mobile tired.
01:12:26

01:12:32
He deserve it.
01:12:33
You think you deserve to play after out? Yeah.
01:12:37
Freezing your feet literally. Which is something.
01:12:40
It still sounds crazy, but not on purpose.
01:12:43
Okay, Fine.
01:12:44
Demanding a new helmet because of safety foreign.
01:12:47
Retire over perfect.
01:12:49
That's fine.
01:12:50
You know, I know you're here.
01:12:55
You're defending Joe Ingles for not wanting to play because of safety.
01:12:59
And then was Antonio.
01:13:00
Brand wants a new helmet, and he's threatening to retire for his own safety.
01:13:04
You say it's a bad thing over on What? That's what, boy.
01:13:07
And as a weight with Dylan before commuted, for example, worried about Michael.
01:13:16
You just made the example of Show Ingles.
01:13:19
Joey is a break from a state where he is trying to protect his family.
01:13:25
There is a national inter international pandemic where if you play a organized basketball game, there is a high risk.
01:13:37
And you know what? As ridiculous talk.
01:13:40
What, you know what we're like.
01:13:44
How does it help? We just talked to a guy that, if I'm not mistaken, is not letting your son play football because it's too dangerous and guys been associate with the NFL or that has that love the sport of football but has publicly criticized what the NFL is done and not say anything gets about conscious because something I do agree with, I think, and they've been trying to improve on player safety player.
01:14:08
Safety is a big thing for anyone around everywhere and toying around Why grand wasn't safe.
01:14:15
We'll say it again.
01:14:16
The whole reason why he found it was banned with because the NFL said is how it was not safe enough.
01:14:21
Alright.
01:14:22
In the end, Josh.
01:14:23
And in the end job, Antonio Brown understood it and he didn't retire.
01:14:26
You know why they haven't? Well, I'm saying I can give you other examples.
01:14:31
How about I for you called the phone? The phone call was one justice.
01:14:36
Okay, I'm just If you were punting a football, causing a scene, being upset over a flying about missing practice, which is the rule in sports of you, miss practice get fine, but getting mad that I would I be upset with Brown Mike Mayo, right? And also, I have you know, I you know, if you want you understand why I'm trying to call is gonna go onto the field.
01:15:05
I don't get what that that is.
01:15:08
My point was causing it was absolute temper tantrum.
01:15:13
He has anger issues.
01:15:14
So what? So it's sort of matter what? Mug quiz? If any of these were one off incidents, Michael, I would be able to take.
01:15:26
This is a fine.
01:15:28
You have a point, but the fact is that you've not had to stand up for him on.
01:15:32
I didn't count, but I would say six or seven different things if any of them were one and nothing else.
01:15:37
It be no big deal, but he's done.
01:15:39
This has been a pattern.
01:15:42
He's done all of these things.
01:15:44
And even if you have a point on all of them, what happens so many times over and over and over and over again, you can't stand up for me.
01:15:55
No.
01:15:56
Well, I can't because we all we all make mistakes.
01:15:59
But he's made so many in a row, so many that John Gosh, and they were different, though they were there.
01:16:09
Different mistakes doesn't matter.
01:16:11
It does not matter.
01:16:13
It gets too late.
01:16:14
Point where it's out of hand, and there's nothing you can do about it where at this point you still haven't learned.
01:16:22
Why should we sign you on until, I mean, there's nothing also out, You know, I'm because it's been months.
01:16:30
It's been months since this happened, so it's gonna be years.
01:16:33
He's very good on the field we should wrap up soon because this is going nowhere.
01:16:38
Way point.
01:16:40
All right. That's right.
01:16:41
Yeah.
01:16:42

01:23:00
What did he want? A fit of? Gierasch met with the Lakers.
01:23:03
Well, I mean, again, it's coming off the bench, shooting threes.
01:23:07
What he does best, What he's gonna do here.
01:23:09
He's not a star.
01:23:10
Never has been. Never will be.
01:23:12
Uh, and he said, This is where I think his role is perfect sharpshooter off the bench, right? You need a sense.
01:23:21
Makes sense, right? And that that that that makes sense.
01:23:25
And I I agree.
01:23:26
It's a Lakers fan.
01:23:27
I actually am a fantasist. Me.
01:23:30
All right, So shack Barrett, one of the I think this is a He is a perfect example of a breakout player.
01:23:39
Rising Star said that he will sign his franchise center if he does not get a long term deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and I don't play them concerned that the books are Super Bowl content.
01:23:51
Um, but Josh Red**** quizzes Well, he had.
01:23:54
July 13th is the big day.
01:23:55
July 15 will be the biggest day in the NFL in a while that we've had since the draft, probably with the draft.
01:24:00
The biggest day of the NFL is July 15.
01:24:03
That is the date that everyone's been franchise tag.
01:24:06
If they don't have a long term deal done, they have to either player the franchise tag or what? Yeah, so shack there it.
01:24:15
Good move.
01:24:16
The Bucks defense needs to improve in.
01:24:19
This is a guy who will do that for them.
01:24:21
He was the Bucks.
01:24:22
If it's a lot better with him out there than with him not out there so good for both sides win, win, move.
01:24:29
I really do You think, uh, yeah, I mean, so this basically be is that he's gonna be with the box in 2020.
01:24:39
A swell.
01:24:40
Just there is the 2020 and 40 with this NFL season.
01:24:43
Uh, which is good, Great.
01:24:45
Great news for the for the bucket years.
01:24:47
Uh, I ve never needed any more of it.
01:24:53
Yeah.
01:24:54
What are being season? Well, now I think they used more for our defense is defensively.
01:24:59
Yeah, because they're offside.
01:25:03
If if you have shack Barrett not all of the bucket years.
01:25:09
The chief is a little talking.
01:25:11
Put Frank know that you have.
01:25:14
What of the sacks leader for last year, right, Right, right.
01:25:19
Yeah.
01:25:20
Sacks leader on your TV.
01:25:22
That's gonna be a huge additional boost, which is going to be great for the Buccaneers.
01:25:27
Not yet.
01:25:30
All right.
01:25:31
Lengthy.
01:25:32
Cabrera has found a whole New York and it's with the Mets that signed better in Melky Cabrera.
01:25:38
Josh as tsunamis.
01:25:39
You have no thoughts.
01:25:40
I know many talking.
01:25:42
I don't know to What about the other? I don't know too much about of other than that, he was my first ever never a 1,000,000,000 baseball card because he was the first time I ever got an autographed baseball cards in a pack.
01:25:56
Just a fun fact about Melky Cabrera.
01:26:00
But I need the bets are a team.
01:26:05
Last year in August and September, I would check if they want every day because they were at 1.
01:26:14
1 game behind for the playoffs.
01:26:17
MP that I think are by dark horse playoff team.
01:26:21
Uh, Jack quoted to the show.
01:26:23
Like last week? I said The Braves are much he my sleeper team to win the World Series.
01:26:27
I don't think they will.
01:26:29
There's about sleepers.
01:26:31
Ah, but the Mets, I feel like what? This an issue? It's a It's a little bit of name power to the artist.
01:26:37
I mean, that's just kind of what it is.
01:26:39
I'm not a baseball fan at all, but I know he is Frank.
01:26:47
Okay, So, uh, not much good news Coming from another team in New York, the Brooklyn Nets are of unit trouble because, well, Spencer Dinwiddie might not play DeAndre Jordan ruled it out so more players ruled it out.
01:27:15
It's not looking good for that one.
01:27:17
Looking perfect.
01:27:18
Moretti may never really hungry right now.
01:27:22
Who really be hating my Yeah, Katie not gonna play Kyrie Not gonna play Didn't would be the best player or so I remember that place for Slivered there thinks he already is right? So what do you guys think? How How would you know? Door leaving.
01:27:52
I would have taken our tasty little I wouldn't take a look at, uh, the eight games and see if with the roster that they have, what gives the could live there after Partney.
01:28:04
I'll tell you this.
01:28:05
The Nets and Wizards are currently separated by six games.
01:28:08
If they can cut that to within four within a day game period, We have a play in tournament, all right, for the team schedule looks like, but team wise Wizards kind of riel shop.
01:28:19
All right, so the first.
01:28:20
Yeah, the first game was against the Magic for I think Machine.
01:28:25
Which team is this? The Nets over.
01:28:27
It's you, that's where that's a huge game.
01:28:32
That's those two teams there.
01:28:33
78 right now.
01:28:35
Yeah, I Orlando is favored 1.
01:28:38
4 living.
01:28:40
If Brooklyn wins that game, that takes the pressure off big time because they have a hamburger on Orlando Landau.
01:28:48
Then, as the pressure and Orlando got in that game right there, if they could take everything to win that game, that right away could be enough of years.
01:28:58
We have a bigger game, the Wizards next game.
01:29:01
I know we do our draft affair, but I call it It's not.
01:29:07
It's not actually televised all it's gonna be reflects that.
01:29:11
All right, Uh, that a three game stretch of potential or four game stretch of potential playoff teams.
01:29:19
First off is a set 20 the bucks loss, and then the Celtics waas and that the kids Decent game, but loss Clippers, Jeffrey, It lost that.
01:29:35
You could get question Mark and please believe in magic way.
01:29:41
I think the Brooklyn that's are the worst team in this bubble right now.
01:29:45
Really? Right now, you look at this roster, they do.
01:29:50
I mean, this is a bad, bad roster right now that they could go over eight.
01:29:57
They very welcome.
01:29:59
And, Max, I'm sorry, but I very I am gladly gonna do it.
01:30:03
If they go eight.
01:30:05
If any team is gonna go on in Orlando, it's gonna be the next I will tell you right now, backs is low.
01:30:13
If anyone's doing it, I'm not gonna protect anyone, Will.
01:30:16
But I will tell you if someone goes on eight Brooklyn Nets, You heard it right here first.
01:30:21
This is a horrible, horrible team that they're sending your window.
01:30:24
And it's a great, talented team when they're all playing.
01:30:27
But the guys they are sending Orlando or not, envy.
01:30:30
A callup is not an MBA caliber team.
01:30:33
I mean, it's a bad roster.
01:30:38
This is Max is late to call it.
01:30:40
Call in that next.
01:30:41
Why me? Why? I'm wrong.
01:30:44
Let's go.
01:30:45
Yeah.
01:30:46
All right.
01:30:47
You got one more topic? Yes, I am a everything you could recall.
01:30:50
So recently.
01:30:51
The Patriots made a pretty big move that's tiny.
01:30:57
And turns out they were the only ones taking offer.
01:31:01
But they were not the only ones interested.
01:31:03
It was actually the Cleveland Browns who also had a person.
01:31:09
Could I say the Russians would have signed it? This is such a like the most Cleveland brand.
01:31:14
I can I say no when I said the magic three words, Michael? Yes.
01:31:18
Brown's gonna Brown's Hey, go try, Mama guy.
01:31:28
This is like, I think you're gonna patriot.
01:31:31
If I could think of like, one thing, there's not very much like they're throwing the list of things the Browns could do to **** Baker.
01:31:39
Mayfield.
01:31:40
Well, it's probably about two things.
01:31:43
One of them.
01:31:46
Like what? Why? What you trying it available for? Enjoys quarterback.
01:31:53
You've tracking this guy number overall.
01:31:55
Two years ago, he had an unbelievably historic rookie season.
01:31:59
He had an undoubtedly terrible second year.
01:32:01
But after undoubtedly terrible second year used to say that camel what you want? Are you kidding me? I'm surprised that the Browns would cover it to this without him shoving a down it.
01:32:14
I think this was cams, agent.
01:32:16
I am, uh, I highly, but they had the occasion.
01:32:22
Rounds would do that.
01:32:25
Brown is gonna brown.
01:32:26
Yeah, the most inapt along.
01:32:29
This was because the Panther, the Patriots and Cam Newton made an agreement for a couple weeks ago.
01:32:36
If it was yesterday.
01:32:39
No, I know, but I'm just saying there was a couple weeks ago that they patriots and pant and the Pacers and campaign manager agreement.
01:32:47
Um, it's just like it was official yesterday, right? Um, I said, yeah, we got actually got word from the man himself today.
01:32:54
About that. Yeah.
01:32:56
Adam Schefter.
01:32:57
We knew about that for a couple of what? I talked to him earlier.
01:32:59
They would say Yeah, camps like away, like access back there. Clip somewhere.
01:33:06
Really images here.
01:33:07

01:33:10
Okay.
01:33:11
All right.
01:33:13
So yeah.
01:33:14
So Brown's did this, and I mean I, by the way, I asked one of the top and you're very welcome.
01:33:20
The Cleveland that's runnin fit organization.
01:33:27
And I want to say we're going to paint rivals the Patriots.
01:33:31
Fine.
01:33:32
And Kim doing was actually, like most patron today.
01:33:35
Who do you got? You gotta get to replace Tom Brady.
01:33:37
How about someone that have another person that has a lot more Drew Brees? What about the opposite of Tom Brady's? The guy you signed? Of course I haven't.
01:33:46
No.
01:33:47
And also, a guy is still still a guy that has more and be peace and who preys.
01:33:52
I, uh I have more means your rates of the same out of people's way, the jokes, all that.
01:33:58
Oh, for your school, bud.
01:34:00

01:40:10
If your best player is worse than DeAndre Jordan, the best bet.
01:40:15
It's an awful team.
01:40:18
But I would take DeAndre and Devin Booker over 50 points out.

00:09:33
R.
00:46:36
Good block. Ancient.
00:46:38
Thank you. Thank you.
00:46:39
All right.
00:46:40

00:46:41
Say about it.
00:46:43
All right.
00:46:48

00:46:49
So again, don't leave.
00:46:51
Just yet.
00:46:52
We're going to take a couple minute break, but yeah.
00:46:55
So it would have been, like, five minutes to stay here.
00:46:58
We will be right back.
00:46:59
So we will have a normal show today, Um, on the next.
00:47:04

00:47:23

00:50:37
All right.
00:50:38
What was that? That was great.
00:50:42

00:50:46

00:50:47

00:51:28

00:51:29

00:51:31

01:02:55

01:03:25
By the way, what he needs to do first is find an agent, right? He does not have one joke.
01:03:35
I'm being serious.
01:03:36
These defines a mental institution during his brain, right? And then then you could come back.

01:04:32
Someone like like Mark Jackson's mom.
01:04:34
So I don't have you said until, except for the name Antonio.
01:04:42
If you said any other free agent veteran wide receiver, I would have no problem with it.
01:04:49

01:06:59
All right, All right. You're fine. Fine, fine.
01:07:01

01:12:43
Okay, Fine.
01:16:41

01:25:27
Not yet.
01:25:30
All right.
01:25:31
Lengthy.
01:30:41
Why me? Why? I'm wrong.
01:30:44

01:30:45
Yeah.
01:30:46
All right.
01:32:54
About that. Yeah.
01:32:56

01:33:11
All right.
01:33:13
So yeah.
01:33:52

01:40:10
If your best player is worse than DeAndre Jordan, the best bet.
01:40:15
It's an awful team.
01:40:18
But I would take DeAndre and Devin Booker over 50 points out.
01:40:27
It was 1 50 point explosion.
01:40:30
Okay, e.
01:40:43

01:41:02

01:41:04
Yeah, okay, so e e for well, like a role player.
01:41:26
That would be a big impact on a team or non team.
01:41:30
You're saying you are using free agents? Are you saying it's like a role player that got to be a big impact? P.
01:41:40
J. Tucker P. J.

If the Rockets are going to succeed, P.
01:41:48
J.
01:41:49
Tucker will be Justus.
01:41:50
Big of a reason for that is Westbrook and hurting because he is the only guy with some sort of size on that team.
01:41:55
And he wouldn't the rocket succeed Italy because he bawled out during these points.
01:42:03
