And welcome into the broadcast by, um, Samuel Reese Coming to You live here on SportsCastr And it is Monday night action in the Premier League, its 11th place Burnley hosting ah, 10th place Crystal Palace, actually vice versa.
Crystal Palace hosting Burnley is what I meant to say, and usually it is an electric atmosphere at the home of Crystal Palace.
What a fan base that you have the London based club.
But of course, with no fans in attendance is definitely a different field.
This is palaces first home game since March 7th and since the Premier League has returned from the Corona virus pandemic.
But nonetheless, Crystal Palace will look to get the victory today against a Burnley side who who are battling with the injury bug.
They only have seven available subs, and a lot of their injuries have been picked up by some of their star players, especially on the attack.
And the latest one to be added to that list is Jay Rodriguez from last game.
We'll see how they cope with it as this game is underway from London, England, and it is Crystal Palace going left to right in their red and blue stripes and its Burnley going right to left from Selhurst Park.
Thank you everyone for joining the broadcasts.
The SportsCastr primarily Scoreboard now works, so that is good news.
The referee tonight a Simon Hooper And here come Burnley on the attack.
It's played out.
Why? To the near side, it's Erik Pieters with it.
Peter's across takes a deflection on the way, but it's off of his own teammate and it will result in a throne.
Crystal Palace is primarily form while they were on a four game win streak before they lost against Liverpool on Wednesday.
Four. No Burnley.
Meanwhile they Ah, they were unbeaten in three.
Then they had a loss.
But they went back onto the winning track after a Thursday win, one to nothing in that one against Watford.
So both teams actually not too far off from Europa League spots.
How are having their best Premier League season ever? What's going on, Josh? Glad to have you here, man over doing well.
And yet Crystal Palace, only three points away from a Europa League spot, actually and Burnley are only one point behind Palace.
So there's still plenty to play for in this game.
But obviously, uh, yeah.
As we look at it.
10th place Crystal Palace on 42 points.
Oh, no! Burnley also have 42 points. My apologies.
So they're both tied on points.
Crystal Palace is only ahead of Burnley on goal differential.
That's how close they are in the table.
Danke, Tricia, for also joining the broadcast for some Monday afternoon Premier League action Monday night in England at eight PM local time.
Kick off here has been me the Captain of Burnley that will be played across the back four.
Ben Me once again Bend me out wide to the touch line.
Does he finds Charlie Taylor.
You made you the ****nal game coming up on Wednesday? Yeah, Cool for sure. Yeah.
Um, there are plenty of primarily games.
Look forward to this week, that's for sure.
All the teams that were what were are involved are going to be involved this week, I should say, in primarily games that involved teams who are, uh, taking part in the quarter files the F A Cup.
They'll all be in action in the Premier League either tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday.
Phil Bardsley is back in this In the Burnley steam he is.
He's back from injury, which is good news for Burnley as it's now into the midfield with Eric Peters.
Peters all the way Allied for Charlie Taylor Taylor to Peters.
And now Ashley Westwood will switch it the other way.
Oh, yeah, Chelsea plays West Ham right after. Yeah, you're right.
So, you know, you don't know if you'd be covering that game. Cool.
I'm most likely going to be on the call for the Chelsea West Ham game on Wednesday, but yeah, that's right.
They're both in action on on Wednesday.
Thursday there's some two great games, Actually, Sheffield versus taught them.
And then the big one.
Liverpool Man City.
I'll definitely be on the call for Liverpool Man City that that should be a great game.
Even the Liverpool have already clinched the title.
Ah, that that should be a cracking fixture between the two best teams in the league.
Thank you, Nathan, for joining the broad. Jess.
Yeah, There's no Friday games this week.
I don't I don't know.
Yeah, Friday has been often the last two weeks.
I mean, for the primarily since they returned last Wednesday.
There's there's games in 35 out of the final 40 days of the season.
So there's there's only five days whether or not where there's not games in front.
And, yeah, you're right.
Last Friday, there were no games.
And then this Friday, there's not any snow.
That seems to be the off day for the Premier League, I guess, but I'm not sure I need to look at the schedule more.
Uh, I need to look at the schedule down the road, um, to see if ASA, a recurring theme where there's no primarily games on Fridays, they could Karam for joining the broadcast.
What's going on? Karam.
Glad to have you here also.
I appreciate the tip, Tricia.
I appreciate that.
A foul called here as it goes against Burnley.
A late challenge there and the foul called against Mattei.
Vydra Richard, the center striker for this game, Crystal Palace in a 4141 formation, burning the 4321 formation Crystal Palace, led by Roy Hodgson and Burnley, led by Sean Day.
Each Shawn Dake has ah provided us hints with the possibility that he will be on his way out at the end of the season.
He's done so well with this Burnley side, but maybe it's time for him to leave and make a bigger move to Ah, we'll see what kind of club would be willing.
Teoh have Sean Dietsch is there manager, but we'll keep an eye on that when the primary season comes to an end.
Jack Cork over the Charlie Taylor Taylor now finds Eric Peters.
It's a good cross by Taylor.
It's now outside of the area, headed back in by Westwood.
McNeil couldn't control but Burnley on the front foot as they win it back once again.
How do I feel that Cam Newton going to the fats? Yeah, it's a very good question. Karam.
Um, I'll know how to feel, to be honest with you.
Ah, I guess I guess I could say I was pleasantly surprised last night to hear that move.
I was surprised that they, uh it took till the, you know, almost july for this move to happen because I don't know what the weight was.
If the Patriots had this in mind the whole time to get Cam Newton.
Uh, and maybe it was part on Cam Newton's and he wanted he wanted more money.
And, um, you just had to come to the realization that if he wanted a ah, if you wanted the job in the NFL, he was gonna have to accept Ah, a contract like the Patriots gave him.
And yet, for the Patriots, it's because I think it's a good deal.
It's low risk, high reward.
Ah, and I don't think Jared student needs to play to develop.
So I think I think it tells you that the Patriots ah, you know, work absolutely confident in Jared Stadium.
They probably want one more year for him to develop, and then he'll be ready next season.
Um, but yeah, it's a low risk, high reward situation because we all know what Cam Newton is capable of.
You know, who knows what type of season he's gonna have, But we all know what he can do.
Ah, at the quarterback position, which is be an M v p.
Like he was back in 2015.
Ah, but there's still questions as to what kind of Cam Newton we're gonna get for sure, but and there's always the injury concern as well I mean, there's always the possibility that if he's not healthy, that he could be, You know, he could be gone by the time training camp begins.
Burnley having a tough time clearing it away.
But now Ben Me, the captain eventually able to do so.
But as I was saying Yeah, but I think if Cam Newton's healthy, then I'd be surprised if Jared student was the starter. Week one.
If he's healthy.
Cam Newton, I believe, will be the starter for the New England Patriots this season.
And, um, yeah, I mean, hey, if, um, if Cam Newton doesn't doesn't play well and it goes all wrong or you get injured, you have Jared Cinemas as a second option, which seemed to be the plan, Uh, until we were until out until everyone was proved wrong yesterday when they when they got Cam Newton.
But that seemed to be the plan going with Jared Stadium.
And so that wouldn't be the most awful backup scenario if it came down to that.
Um, so yeah, I don't It's a move that long that won't harm the Patriots in any way whatsoever.
It could only it could only benefit them and maybe a dozen, but it's definitely not gonna hurt them.
I don't think if it goes wrong because you still have stood in there and, uh and yes, so So we'll see.
I'm definitely, um I'm definitely looking forward to To it, though I never thought I never thought I'd see Newton and Ah, Bella check working together on the same team, but ah, but here we are.
So yeah, missions to see how it goes.
I I know Kim Newton has a big ego, but I think he'll really put his ego beside because he's getting a big opportunity with the Patriots with Bella check as his coach.
And yeah, I think the Patriot should definitely be a playoff team now, with Newton as the quarterback.
Thank you, Joe, for joining the broadcast were 10 minutes into this one.
It's Crystal Palace nil Burnley Nil in some Monday night football from London, England at Selhurst Park.
Yeah, Canyon has a big ego, I think around.
I mean he when he was with the Panthers, he was pretty much all about himself, and I mean, I I think he does have an ego.
He's a selfish player in my opinion, but I think he'll he'll change in New England.
I really do think so.
Um, I don't know.
I think he after that M v p.
Yet he was just, you know, all about himself and was so was so confident about himself.
And I think that played a role in to his downfall in the years to fall, Obviously in injuries or a big part of that, too.
But I don't know.
I think he just had too much confidence in himself And also, you know, in the Super Bowl game, uh, he didn't go for the fumble, which was right in front of him.
Um, yeah, so I don't know.
I don't know. We'll see.
Um, I know he doesn't have, like, a huge ego, but I think he he does.
He does have one.
I definitely think he does.
People say he celebrates too much and stuff, which I mean, if it if he performs well with the Patriots, I don't care how much he celebrates to Beyonce's with you and dances, but but yeah, we'll see.
I don't think his ego will be a big deal in in New England, though, um, but I definitely think he had one while he was in Carolina.
This is a good through ball, Wilfried Zaha Boo, by the way, is back in the starting lineup for Crystal Palace is on the ball here.
It doesn't matter after he celebrates up if he celebrates after touchdown.
I mean, I just I'm just saying people were criticizing him for, you know, dancing too much and celebrating too much when he was with Carolina.
Um, But as I said, if if he does well with the Patriots, I don't care how much.
Yeah, he dances and celebrate.
I mean, I guess it's up to Bill Bellocchi.
Thank you, John, for joining the broadcast.
Yes, we have a scoreboard.
Finally, ah said that the primary league wasn't suspended.
They finally got up to date, which is good.
So we have the Premier League scoreboard now, so that that's an that's an awesome added benefit to my primarily broadcast now.
So I was pleasantly Ah, happy to see that.
Um when I when I went to start this broadcast, when I saw that the scoreboard was available.
You I'm glad you notice one.
That's therefore the viewers.
So I don't have to keep reminding you guys about the score every few minutes.
Mill avoid ***** with the free kick.
We saw him score a free kick against burn myth nine days ago.
That one over the bar mill.
The captain for the Crystal Palace team.
Every player does that.
I mean not No, not not every player.
Not as much as he'd.
I mean, didn't he invent What was it called? The dab? That's stupid celebration.
The possession, by the way, is in favor of Burnley 66 to 34%.
I mean, he was a little excessive. And celebrations.
I thought Cam Newton, but and not No, not every player celebrates this much is as he does.
Um, but listen, I don't really care about that if he has, if he has talent on your own, it's still says the probably suspended.
All really interested.
Maybe it still says it suspended, but the scoreboard is now an option, So yeah, maybe you're still arrive.
Maybe it still says it.
Suspended on the main on the main page on SportsCastr.
But now, when I went now, when I started broadcast for the primarily the scoreboard is an option which it wasn't since the primarily returned.
Um, so yeah, I'm just I'm just glad we got the scoreboard now, so that's good.
Thank you, Lisa, for joining the broadcast.
What's going on? Lisa? Glad to have you here.
I You were 14 minutes into this one.
Gary Cahill, the former Chelsea man.
Place it across the back for Scott Dan Andrews town sent with a beautiful ball out wide.
It's taken down nicely by Cogliatti, but is ah received the pass after that And it was actually good defense to be fair from Phil Bardsley.
Be right back for Burnley.
And then eventually it was actually Westwood.
You got a foot on that, won the poke it away and thank you, Mitch, for joining the broadcast.
What's going on, Mitch? Glad to have you on board here on SportsCastr or 1/4 of an hour in.
And it's nil nil between Crystal Palace and Burnley as the Premier League.
Ah is now what almost two weeks back since they returned into action since They returned to play after it was paused for about three months.
Do the Corona virus pandemic.
What's going on, Mitch? How you doing? I know you've been doing great coverage of all of the, uh, now that golfs back, I know you've been doing.
Ah, great job covering covering all of the tournament's each week now.
Yeah, I know from I've tried tuning into some your broadcast, and now you just you definitely know a lot more golf than me, that's for sure.
Um, so, yeah, I know you're doing a great job.
Um, commentating the tournament's Yeah.
Yeah, well on, you know, you know about you know quite a bit about golf as well.
Here is an dressed town sent in town.
Send now into the midfield.
It's with Joel Ward.
Joel Ward, two mil. Avoid *****.
No score after 16 minutes of play from London, England at Selhurst Park.
As I mentioned, Crystal Palace having their best primarily season in their history, and they were doing really good until they ran into Liverpool last week, which was always going to be quite the task.
Yeah, you have on you. Definitely.
Since you're a big golf fan, like Mitch.
Ah, great job covering covering golf on his channel.
So yeah, definitely.
I definitely recommend checking Mitch out for, um for all.
For all all things golf, for sure.
So yeah, he does a great job.
I think you'd like tuning into his broadcast one.
Liverpool is still Yep. They actually clinched the title.
Mitch the on Thursday? Yeah.
So Liverpool are the champions of the Premier League with seven games still left in the season.
They've already clinched the title. Unbelievable.
The after Chelsea v Man City on Thursday.
That meant that the report We're the champions.
So yeah, they've clinched the primarily title in Liverpool actually play Manchester City on Thursday.
I'll be on the call for that game.
It should be not to be a really good one.
I know Liverpool have already clinched the title, but they still wanna win.
They still want toe break some other records.
Um, yeah, it was incredible season for Ah, for Liverpool, that's for sure.
Um, it is still not done yet.
Still seven games left, and, uh, they're on.
They're on pace to break so many different records.
Yeah, Record breaking season, their first primarily title in 30 years.
They've waited that long.
You follow Mitch. Okay. Cool.
This is Ah, decent looking ball sent in by Westwood.
But it was mill.
Avoid *****, you got ahead or to it.
But it leads to our first corner kick of the night Burnley with a chance off the set piece coming up.
Sean Dyche, who has done a great job at Burnley, And Roy Hodgson, who has done a considerably well job at Crystal Palace, is well, since he's took over.
Both teams are having a pretty good season this year.
Well, it's a great editor in and that trickled across the goal line second opportunity.
And that left footed strike from Dwight McNeill blasted just barely over the crossbar and girly nearly found the opening goal.
What a chance! Here.
This is a beautiful ball in and let's see what happened here.
Oh, my trying to clear that when I believe was Cogliatti, and he tried to clear it but hit off the crossbar.
And he was fortunate that that that didn't turn out to be an own goal because it very well could have been No, no, it was Van on hold.
It was then on hold who tried to clear it away and it went off the crossbar.
Unbelievable chance there for Burnley.
And it was nearly a gifted goal as well.
Nearly an own goal here.
20 minutes in the goal kick taken by the Sunday Guaita Wayne Hennessey, the backup for Crystal Palace. He was the starter.
But according to Roy Hodgson, Juanita has been better in goal.
So he's pretty much won outright.
The starting position over Hennessey.
Am I surprised the crows lost the lines? Oh, in the FL Uh, no, I thought, Aren't the crows like the worst team in the NFL? So I'm not I'm not surprised that the if the crows lose Teoh anyone.
From what I've heard, they're pretty awful.
Here is Dwight McNeill on the attack, left footed strike went right into the arms of Why eat up.
I was a promising attack, though right there from Burnley, they've had the better of the chances in the 1st 20 minutes thus far, Crystal Palace have been a little bit sloppy and I expect Crystal Palace to get the win tonight just because they got Zaha back.
Obviously still now finished Inventec A.
But I think they have more talent overall even though they are tied with on points with Burnley in the table.
But Burnley are aside who are missing so many of their best players.
The latest guy to get injured, Jay Rodriguez, who is their center striker.
That's a huge loss, but so far the possession.
Burnley the shots 2 to 1 Burnley as well.
And so um, it's it's not the worst start from the away side, that's for sure.
And um, that was a funny fact.
The commentator on NBC Sports is Dwight McNeill of Burnley.
Actually, he still lives with his parents and apparently I had no idea about about that.
But he was Ah, according to the commentator on NBC s and he was, ah, training with his father during locked down.
That's a that's a good way to take advantage of ah of living with your parents.
So, uh, he was staying fit that way.
Here is Wilfried Zaha So such a skilled player, Wilfried Zaha and as I mentioned, the top of the broadcast currently only have seven substitutes available on the bench because of all the injuries they've been dealing with.
That will be a corner kick for Crystal Palace.
Lost to the Hawks are really? Yeah, but, um and there's five substitutions allowed for both teams now in the Premier League for the rest of the season anyways.
And so, you know, if Burnley use all five substance, there's only gonna be two guys on the whole Burnley roster today that aren't going to get into the game.
That's kind of crazy to think about as Gary Cahill misfires.
That one on the volley.
It was a short corner, kicked Osama and it was a good ball.
Buys 1/2 picking out Cahill.
But Cahill, clearly frustrated with himself after that strike that wasn't quite what he was intending for as that went well over the bar, just didn't quite line himself in time.
It correctly we are at the midway point of the first half, and that means our first half water break no score between Crystal Palace and Burnley.
Glad to have you all tuning into the broadcast.
What do we got here? There.
They're repainting the ah, the crossbar.
It looks like not sure why? Well, some, uh Burnley have been the better side in the first quarter of this game, and, um, apparently we've got some maintenance maintenance issues that are being sorted out during this water break.
It's a good time to figure it all out.
Yeah, going back to the chances for only have had, well, the best one had you have been the corner kick that Dwight McNeill nearly foot into the back of the net.
You had a good look at it, but the left footed strike ended up going over the crossbar.
An absolute chaos on that play on that corner kick.
Crystal Palace just could not clear it out, and they were fortunate to see Dwight McNeill sent his shot over the bar for a goal kick.
And so the water break is done.
We are ready to resume play here, ID, sell her spark and for Burnley to keep doing what they've been doing.
That, and it's not really anything too complicated.
Burnley have just complain.
You compare it to Crystal Palace.
They've been they've been moving the ball around much more, much more nicely compared to Crystal Palace.
Crystal House have just been a bit sloppy and Burnley have been more clinical in the final third as well.
Obviously, they haven't found the back of the net yet, but they've had better chances.
And you have to think if they keep that up, a goal will be coming soon.
NBC now have the broadcast rights.
The U. S. Open Golf tournament.
Fox used to have the broadcast rights to us over.
Yeah, Yeah, I actually read that somewhere.
I forget where? Yeah, NBC have the rights.
Now you have for for the U.
S. Open, not Fox. Yeah.
Yeah, I read that somewhere this morning.
I think I forget where when I heard about that.
Fox sports there.
They're losing a lot of the other You, they're losing a lot of sports.
And, um, And when it comes to like ****ysts and commentators for their sports to, I think I think they're letting go.
A lot of you know of their talent to go to other channels.
So I don't know what's going on with Fox Sports, but yeah, they're losing a lot of different leagues in sports.
It's not looking too bright for them.
They do have the They are showing games in the MLS is back tournament, which I think will be huge for them.
There's one game actually on Fox, with all the other ones being on FS one.
They lost the Bundesliga. Yup.
So, yeah, they pretty much right now for soccer.
They just have, Ah, MLS and then the men's and women's World Cup.
I can't think of anything else.
They have rights, too, for a soccer.
Now they have lost so much.
There used to be the Fox soccer channel back in the day where they had, like, all the leagues.
Fox soccer, they the Fox soccer channel.
They used to have city out Bundesliga.
Ah, the Premier league.
Um, even the Arjun Timely.
I think they they had so many leagues and ah, and yeah, they Fox sports, They just lost so much they used to have obviously, very recently, they used to have the Champions League and Europa League.
Um, then it went to TNT, TNT.
They had a disaster with the, um, TNT.
Actually, they signed a three year contract to show Champions League games, but they backed out of it.
They backed out of it last week.
So now the Champions League will not be televised in the US unless someone picks up the rights for the rest of this Champions League season and all of next chimp of next year's Champions League because CBS Sports doesn't have rights to show the Champions League until the 2021 22 Champions League season.
So hopefully, CBS Sports are willing to come in earlier than they originally going to show the Champions League and pick up rights to show the rest of this season's Champions League.
And then all of next year's, we'll see how that's how that all goes down.
Right now, there's knowing the for the rest of this Champions League season all of next year's.
There'll be no English language, uh, channel showing the Champions League, which is a bad situation to be in.
So but I don't know, I'd be shocked if if no if No.
I'm assuming CBS sports of the front runners for that, But I'm assuming that I would I would say that if I had to bet on that CBS Sports will pick up the rights to the rest of the season.
I'd be shocked if they didn't because you know it's the Champions League.
So or someone has to and spent.
Yeah, I think I think, uh, in Spanish.
It will still be two d n a.
Who will show it? Um, I think they still have the rights to it.
So I think it will still be shown on Spanish channels here in the US.
Yes, so at least will will be able to still watch it.
I mean, hopefully an English language channel picks it up, Aziz.
Well, but we'll see.
No score at Selhurst Park.
Burnley Within the midfield, Dwight McNeill finds Ashley Westwood, Westwood all the way.
I wide for Josh Brown out Brown Hill where they actually got from Bristol City.
McNeil now switches it to the other side.
Here is Charlie Taylor Taylor's past intercepted by Andres Town Sent Got Dancing Mill Avoid which will avoid bench for Gary Cahill.
Looking to established themselves in this game because they haven't really done so so far.
They really been able to get behind the Burnley defense.
Who was the better team? Burnley Crystal Palace.
Actually, Mitch, it's a good question because they're actually currently tied in the standings they both have 42 points.
Crystals houses in 10th place. Berlin 11th.
Crystal Palace on Lee is ahead of Burnley on goal differential on So they're pretty even, to be quite honest with you.
But on odd today, if I had to pick like right now today, who's the better side? I would say I would I would lean towards Crystal Palace.
Ah, just because Burnley are dealing with a lot of injuries.
Um and you know some of their best players as well um are out with injuries and meanwhile Crystal Palace.
They They have Zaha who went out with an injury against Liverpool Ah in their last game.
But luckily for Crystal Palace, he was ready to go for this game.
I think Crystal Palace to have a little bit more talent than Burnley.
Um, so yeah, I would lean Crystal Palace, although they are tied on points right now in the standings.
So it's about as even as you get, Um, but yeah, it's very close.
It's very close, but I would lean Crystal Palace, although in the 1st 30 minutes of this game it's been it's been quite impressive.
It's been it's been a pretty good start for Burnley.
I won't say quite impressive, but it's been a decent start for Burnley.
They've been the better side so far, but still no score line here in the 1st 3rd of this game.
Amato's own being sports are really she's she's the host for a lot of legal coverage today.
At least, they only are showing.
Ah, there's only one game in La Liga today, so you don't have to put up with her too much, huh? Yeah, Who's point? Isn't it Qathafi and Soc Dad, I think that's who's playing in the lone La Liga game today.
It's a good turn by Jordan, I you Jordan, I you from way out.
In the end, he does, forces say, from Nick Pope, but it's a comfortable one at that.
Nick Pope, who's been really good for Burnley.
I believe it's 12 clean sheets for him on the season.
I think he's the 3rd 2nd or third best goalkeeper, the English goalkeeper.
I I definitely say Dean Henderson, one.
I'd probably put Jordan Pickford still slightly above Nick Pope, although I'd say its close.
You could argue that next pope's better than Jordan Pickford and Ah, so yeah, they're definitely They're definitely He's definitely had a great season.
And I think, Ah, he'll be the backup to Henderson at the Euros next year.
I really do think so.
Here is Johnson for Crystal Palace City.
I have broadcast rights with ESPN, plus until 2021. Yeah.
Yeah, I I I think ESPN done a pretty good job covering city.
Also, I think that will be extended.
Um, but yeah, we'll see. We'll see.
And Sven on hold.
Going to get a booking here.
It doesn't look like it.
What do I think of the Lakers signing J.
Smith? Yeah, very, very interesting, for sure.
I mean, listen, J r.
Smith and I never really liked them all that much, but, I mean, he is a He is a decent player.
Um, I I think obviously, you know the loss of Avery Bradley? I think I think you know it won't.
It won't kill the Lakers in their championship run, but Avery Bradley is a is a pretty big part of that team.
So it's not like J.
Smith is gonna is gonna completely ah, make up for that loss of Avery Bradley, But I think he's the best option.
To be honest with you, it's It's fascinating how he's gonna reunite with LeBron James and L.
Yeah, so, you know, I think it's some.
I think he's the best option available for for a replacement.
After Avery Bradley announced he'd be, he'd be sitting out the rest of the season.
Um, so, yeah, I mean, we'll see what he's got.
He hasn't met on a team in like a year now, I think, if I'm not mistaken, so no, I said in Crawford would be better.
I mean, it's it's possible.
It's possible that that Crawford could be better.
Um, I just don't know.
I just don't know.
Um, it's really a coin flip, in my opinion, between those two.
So So I don't know Jerry Smith.
You know, he's been with LeBron before in his career, obviously, the last, probably the last.
The first thing that comes to mind when you think of J. R.
Look, LeBron is when he didn't know the score and was dribbling it back instead of getting a shot up.
And, of course, that game ended up going to overtime And we know what happened after that in the n B A Finals.
But, um, listen, I don't really I don't really ah disagree with the decision to get J. R.
Smith from the Lakers perspective.
Um, you know, Crop Crawford could be better.
It's possible, but I don't I don't think I wouldn't say for sure that that Crawford's that Crawford would be better than J.
R. Smith. It's possible, no doubt.
But I wouldn't guarantee it now.
ESPN plus will have City.
I am Buddhist like a next season.
Yeah, they will.
You really on ESPN plus CIA I I definitely with ah with recommend.
It's really anybody.
It's only $55 a month, so hopefully they don't increase.
That prides a good balling.
But I believe that was James Tarkowski at the back post for Burnley Got a crucial touch to that one.
That could have been a goal for Crystal Palace.
You know what? A delivery and in swinger towards that back post from the right back Joel Ward That was a great looking ball.
And then the header Yeah, just a slim touch from tar.
No, it wasn't Tarkowski Excuse me.
It was Phil Bardsley is a slim touch from Barnsley is what threw off James McArthur, who would have had a good look on goal.
And it does result in a goal kick here with under 10 minutes to go until the half.
Burnley leading possession 55 to 45%.
The shots are now even at 44 What's going on, Drew? How you doing? Welcome in, man.
You're just kidding.
Okay, I was going to say it says first half on my end as that delivery comfortably dealt with by the goalkeeper be sent A Guaita.
Yeah, I'm glad the primary scoreboard is finally working here on SportsCastr.
So that is good.
What do you mean? Oh, thank you, Isaac, for joining in.
What do you mean? In this craft is a hunt again.
No score between Crystal Palace and Burnley.
Soccer is not crap eyes like It's the most popular sport in the world.
I don't know why you hate on soccer so much.
Yeah, he definitely hate soccer, Drew.
I don't know why I don't know why he Isaac eight soccer so much.
But you knew once one player opted out players would consent.
Oh, and that will be a Oh, yeah, I saw that.
Yeah, the first player opted out.
Um, I saw that indeed.
I mean, I just always love soccer because, you know, it's it's in my blood.
My dad's Portuguese.
He was a really good soccer player himself.
And, ah, he coached college soccer.
And so, you know, I was kind of born into it.
And so I I love the game.
I mean, I love also I love a ton of sports, but that's that's why I like soccer.
You don't hate it.
Okay, well, it seems like you dio I'll take your word for it.
A reminder Man City Take on Liverpool in the game of the match day in the Premier League.
That will be Thursday at 3 15 Eastern time.
That's that should be a phenomenal came.
I'm looking forward to that one.
I'm looking for that one so much because, you know, man City will be disappointed that they lost to Chelsea and therefore lyrical clinched the title.
So they want they want revenge or not revenge.
But they'll be They will be Ah, definitely anxious to get out there and beat Liverpool.
Liverpool, of course, only have one loss on the whole season and so that that should be a fun one.
Meanwhile, Liverpool still looking that to break a ton of records, which they still could do with seven games left in the season.
Even though they've already clinched the title, they'll still put out their best squad.
I really do think so.
Here here is Ashley Westwood.
Now it's back with the captain Ben Me.
Well, soccer is like the only sport going on right now. Isaac.
So what else do you want me to comment? Teoh? I'm just glad live sports are back.
So why would I calm and say nothing? When I can come and see the a ton of soccer? Just watch it.
I mean, I could just watch it, but I want to become a play by play commentator, so I like, I like getting practice.
I like getting practicing poker.
No, I would never commentate poker, that's for sure.
Poker is not better than soccer.
Fokker is not even a sport.
Now it's forward.
Here is Jack Cork.
Cork lays it out wide for Charlie Taylor I mean, I commented just about like I compensate a ton of Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox and Revolution games when, ah, when they're on.
So why not commentator a ton of a ton of soccer game, since that's the only sport going on W W e uh, I'll really I know you liked lbw yvonne, but I don't consider that a sport.
It's more like entered seem, and I feel like the Red Sox.
They'll be playing the Marlins and you'll have to print out notes.
Yeah, I I have notes for all my games, just in case I I forget anything Melvoy.
Which, by the way, committing the fell.
I mean, it's better to have a ton of notes than, ah more notes than you need that not having any at all.
I like to come in prepared so you don't watch W W anymore.
It's a free kick coming up for Burnley here, and it will be Westwood to send it in towards that back post.
It's headed away, though nicely done by Scott Dan.
As we wind down here in the opening half, I was nearly giving away by Burnley, but it's picked right back up by Brown Hill.
Crystal Palace with numbers back staying disciplined defensively.
Wilfried Zaha nearly intercepting that one but not quite able to do so is Dwight McNeill is there for Burnley.
Here's Westwood and it's a good save by going toe.
But a second chance was in the end.
Ah, half chance if you could even call it that.
But Burnley definitely piling on the chances here in the first half.
They've been the better side, that's for sure.
Do I know Kinsler? I don't know him well, but I've heard of him.
Do I know GG? But tonight I don't know.
I don't know the second guy you mentioned.
Yeah, I I know. Shane Bieber.
I'm not an MLB fence.
I mean, I don't know every roster of every team.
I mean, I I obviously I follow the Red Sox very closely.
That's the team I know way more than anything else.
I'm a Red Sox fan and that is purely it.
I mean, most MLB games I watch in the regular season are just Red Sox games, but I I still I still watch some up some other games too, but yeah, yeah, I I know the other teams in our division will.
I just don't know.
Um, yeah, yeah, I definitely know that.
A at least a lot better than, uh Then any other divisions, that's for sure.
Boba shed, He's on.
He's on the Blue Jays.
Yeah, his dad was a great player, too, and I don't know, ever I don't know, like every single player in the MLB.
But, uh, you know, I know enough about it to to talk about it a little bit, that's for sure.
Baseball is just more of like a regional sport.
I feel like then, um, then, you know, like basketball and football like, um, like the n B in the NFL, I feel like an MLB.
Like obviously, there's diehard fans like you, obviously, Isaac, but I feel like a lot of fans.
They just follow their teams very closely and don't know a lot about, you know, other teams and stuff like that.
I mean, in the in the MLB playoffs, I watch, you know, like all all the games going on, but 44th minute here.
There was a good chance for Burnley earlier, and you know why it He made a nice save, but he probably could have caught it.
He gave Burnley a second chance, but in the end, it was Ah, Eric Peters, who couldn't get a clean strike off.
And it remains nil nil.
Am I free later tonight? Like after? Ah, possibly not.
I won't be available right after the game.
I have to go somewhere this evening, but, uh, I I might be later available later.
Um, I'll have to see.
No, I'm not saying just because there's only five players in the starting line.
I'm not saying like knowing all the players and stuff I did.
I'm just saying, like, the NBA's a league where, like, a lot of, ah, lot of the fans, you know, they follow the entire league and watch like, yeah, you're saying for you Okay? Yeah.
I feel like a lot of like baseball fans.
They fall there seems very closely, but they don't know a whole lot about, you know, um, other teams in the league.
Well, yeah, I I know it.
See, I know it's easy to fall that the rest of the n b a.
But Joe, but called himself out of that we can golf.
Well, that's funny.
There is one with a stoppage time here and, you know, coming in this game out.
I was thinking, you know, maybe one goal will will be enough to win it because these Air two teams that don't score an awful lot they definitely have solid defense is and that's holding up to be the case here.
After 45 minutes.
Now here is Charlie Taylor.
Taylor's cross deflected out of play, but that should do it for the first half and indeed it does.
Burnley wanted to be able to take a corner kick, but the referee is not having it.
And so 45 minutes are in the books.
Nil nil, the score line.
Crystal Palace and Burnley both tied on 43 points and Burnley on Lee are rather palace only ahead of Burnley on goal differential linking Matteo for joining the broadcast.
Glad to have you here.
I will be back for the halftime report in a moment.
So keep it right here.
No score at Selhurst Park in London, England.
I'll be right back.
Welcome back into the broadcast, everybody! It's Burnley Nil! Crystal Palace nil and both of these teams Onley separated by goal difference in the table.
Crystal Palace are only three points outside of a Europa League spot, having their best season in their club history in the top flight of England.
Let's get to the first half highlights.
There's not many highlights with no goals being scored.
But there are some to get to and I think the biggest chance for Burnley came in the 19th minute.
Off the corner kick.
It was a second chance for Burnley as it was across that Crystal Palace really had a difficult job of dealing with and clearing away.
And in the end Dwight McNeill had a chance.
But his left footed strike went over the crossbar for a goal kick and the virtual the fans having their virtual watch party.
The Crystal Palace fans relieved to see that one go over the Burnley fans disappointed that there so I didn't take the lead in the 32nd minute.
This is probably the best opportunity for Crystal Palace which says a lot about the first tap Crystal palace had, which was a disappointing one.
It was really a ah easy save on a chance from Jordan value from well outside the box.
Then in the 42nd minute, it was a second chance for Burnley off of the original safe from Guaita.
But ultimately Erik Pieters couldn't quite get his footing right in.
The shot was a poor one and it remains nil nil after the 1st 45 minutes.
Burnley do lead in shots five for just taking a look at some halftime statistics.
I thought Burnley were the better side in that first half.
They also have the advantage in shots on goal to tow one and I don't know Crystal Palace there.
It is sloppy honestly, with with the ball, Burnley had the better of the chances and were on the front foot.
They barely had the edge in possession 53 to 47%.
It was more lopsided in the early stages of the 1st 45 minutes.
But I think in the second half boycotts and he's got to make some adjustments.
I wouldn't be that surprised if he made a change or two at halftime.
Burnley have the majority of the passes to 61 compared the palaces to 25.
Meanwhile for Burnley, I mean they've got to keep up what they've been doing.
And that is, you know, connect passes in the midfield.
Ah, and which which they but which they've been doing in the 1st 45 minutes and and, ah, they just need to be more clinical in the final third.
I think it's been the finishing touch, just hasn't quite been there for Burnley and you know, if they don't take advantage of the opportunity they have, Crystal Palace could come out much stronger in the second half.
And, uh, they perhaps will make Burnley pay for the missed opportunities in that first half.
But I think it should be an exciting second half because both teams very, very much so.
Looking for three points one won't be won't be quite pleasing for either side because they're both three points away from the Europa League spot.
If either of these teams were to get a Europa League spot, that would be huge for both clubs.
To get to get into Europa League.
That would be absolutely incredible on massive for either club and Crystal Palace seemed to be in the better on a form coming in to do that.
But Burling were the better side in the 1st 45 minutes.
I'll give you my second half preview next, so keep it right here.
It's the Premier League live on SportsCastr Nil nil at the half between Burnley and Crystal Palace.
It's halftime in this one.
But let's look ahead to the week we have upon us because it should be a fun, fun week as the prime early summer rolls on tomorrow at 3 15 Eastern, it'll be Brighton taking on Manchester United.
I'll be on the call for that one that on Wednesday at one, it's ****nal versus Norwich City on the 3 15 West Ham vs Chelsea in the call for the ladder.
And then on Thursday will be Sheffield versus talking About one in Liverpool versus Manchester City at 3 15 Also be on the call for that big one.
And then on the weekend, it's a jam packed weekend.
On Saturday at 7:30 a.
It's Norwich City versus Brighton at 10 AM, both Manchester United both excuse me.
Manchester United will be in action, Uh, at 10 a.m.
And ah, that's just the start of this of the Saturday with a quadruple header.
Actually, it should.
It should be quite a day in the Premier League and let me just pull up the rest of what Saturday looks like.
Yes, so we'll have a 10 a.
Both Man United versus Burma and Leicester City vs Crystal Palace at 12 30 PM Wolves versus ****nal at three PM Chelsea vs Watford Chelsea are my favorite team in the Premier League, so I'll be on the call for that game on Sorry, which is July 4th.
What a way to celebrate July 4th with a quadruple header of Premier League action.
I'll be back with more and discuss this game as we inch closer to the second half between Berlin Crystal Palace.
Stay tuned down back in a moment.
Welcome back, everybody.
What's going on? Josh? Glad to have you back here on the stream.
And yeah, fans across America sending in their pictures toe NBCs and celebrating their Premier League summer supporting their respective clubs.
I should send in a picture one of these times.
Actually, my dog, what I named her actually Chelsea, after my favorite team in England in the English Premier League, um, I should put her in my Chelsea jersey.
Now, that would be funny.
But Neil now at the half in this one between Crystal Palace and Burnley, the second half is next.
So keep it right here.
That's coming your way.
We still got Ah, whole another 45 minutes to decide who comes out victorious or if it will be a point for each side in this one.
Also a good name. Yeah.
Yeah, I appreciate it. Yeah, I know.
I, um I was thinking of what we should name our dog.
And I was like, Hey, we should name or Chelsea.
That's my favorite team in England.
The rest my family was like, Yeah, sure, why not? So he also Crystal.
Yeah, that's true.
That's true. Indeed.
So that's Ah, that's a fun little story right there.
But I'll be back for the second half between Berlin Crystal Palace.
So keep it right here, folks.
All right, Welcome back.
We're ready for the second half, folks.
But you would slam it down. Liverpool.
Yeah, I would agree with you on that.
Thank you, everyone, for tuning into the broadcast.
The final 45 minutes about to get started both teams switching sites.
Crystal Palace now going right to left.
Burnley left to right and we're ready to go in this one.
Crystal Palace kicked things off in the final 45 minutes upon us.
No score at Selhurst Park.
Definitely weird with an empty Selhurst park.
Usually that place is absolutely electric.
And let me just go over who's on the pitch right now for both sides for Crystal Palace. Coy Otto.
Why Ito? Excuse me.
Still in golden on whole Cahill, Dannon Ward All at the back and we got MacArthur mill.
Avoid ***** McCarthy ans ah ha! Along with Are you in town? Send in there for Crystal Palace.
No changes made by Roy Hodgson at the half mean.
Meanwhile, the same goes for Burnley.
It's Pope in gold Taylor Me Tarkowski Barnsley, Peter's Court.
Ah, Westwood, along with Brown Hill and McNeil, with Vedra as the striker up top out there for Burnley.
Do I know Conquer calf? Do I know what it is? You mean Von Yeah, it's the, um it's the It's the soccer association for, uh for international soccer in North America and Central America Basically and the Caribbean, it's the confederation that the U.
S are in Konka Calf postponed all World Cup qualifying for September.
Oh, really? I'm not not that surprised, to be honest with you, but, I mean, I'm just anxious for World Cup qualifying because, you know, the U S they got they got to make this next World Cup, so and they've got so much talent.
I'm just looking forward to, you know, the new young looking us side with so much talent in it to, um yeah, I definitely am looking forward to whenever those World Cup qualifying matches take take place because, you know, the U S.
There's no there's no there was no excuse in 2018.
And there's no excuse in, um, this time around, they've got to make the World Cup, and they I think they should do good in the World Cup, cause, you know, they've got a lot of young talent, you know? They got Sergeant Tyler at Josh.
Sergeant Tyler Adams, Christian Pulisic.
You a desk desk is really good, actually, um, that's just a few of the names.
S. Havel G arena. Of course.
Why am I leaving him out.
So, yeah, I definitely think it's a bright future ahead for the U. S.
And yeah, we'll see.
Did you definitely qualify for the World Cup in? And we'll see what they do in the World Cup in 2022 because they definitely should be there.
Although it's no guarantees after what happened back in the 2018 qualifying campaign, this is a good ball over to the edge of the 18 with Wilfried Zaha Ha looking for Jordan.
I you, but too tight of a space right there to connect the past.
It's out of play for a throwing.
We've been on hold to take the throwing.
It's a little bit of a chilly night in London, England, Believe it or not, Jordan, I you going out with the arm? And that could be, Ah, booking.
That could be an offense worthy of a booking.
I don't know if the referee is gonna give Ah, you a yellow card here.
It looks like it's just gonna be a talking to, but I don't know, I'd like to see the replay this one, because Jordan, I you might be fortunate to not get a yellow card here.
He was frustrated that the original, the original play before that when he was taken down, was not called a foul.
But you can't react in the way he did.
Yeah, that arm was, uh well, that arm, you know, that was not an intentional slight that I'll put it that way.
And I think the A R might be checking this for a possible red card, actually. Yep.
They are checking it for a possible red card.
This is at least the yellow and I mean, let's take a look one more time.
His arm is way up there.
He knows he knows that Josh Brown Hill is there.
Yeah, that that could be a red.
I mean, you can't elbow a guy in the face like that that that that that actually probably should be a red card right there.
That is a vicious elbow to the face right there.
Nasty looking from Jordan. I you.
And the more I look at the replay, the more I think it is a red card.
I mean, he just went like this.
I mean, clearly on purpose as well in Crystal Palace could be in a position where they have to play down a man for the last 40 minutes via are taking a long, good look at this one.
Simon Hooper, the referee waiting on what the guys upstairs in the room are looking at.
And on we go the decision.
No red card, no violent contact by Jordan.
I you is the official wording from B A r.
I think he's a bit fortunate to get away with that.
I'll be interested to see what Kyle Martino and Rob and, uh, Robbie Mustoe have to say about that, Um, in the in the postgame NBC sports studio.
But I don't know.
I think I think it could have easily been a red as they show another replay of it.
I mean, he went elbow out right to the face of Brown Hill.
That was not an overreaction from Brown Hill.
That that was that was an elbow to the face that's gonna that could cause damage for sure.
Luckily, Brown Hills okay, but and maybe that plays a factor into it.
That Brown Hill is okay because it shouldn't play a factor into whether or not Jordan I gets a red card in that situation, but I think it might have really.
Brown Hill had gotten a serious injury there.
Then we might have seen a different outcome when it comes to whether or not Jordan I was shown a red card, but he gets away with it here.
But you'll have to be careful at this point.
You're in the 52nd minute early stage of the second half.
Going ahead with the World Cup qualifying it qualifying in September.
Yeah, yeah, it's It's up to each confederation what they want to do with the World Cup call flying.
So yeah, I mean comparable by the way that is, That is ah, hard region that come out of to make the World Cup.
That region is absolutely stacked.
Um but yeah, it will be a throwing here for Burnley Burnley in Crystal Palace's third of the field.
Thank you, everyone for joining the broadcast today.
Here on SportsCastr.
You're his Westwood and failure with the ball in, but it's cleared away by Crystal Palace at the in the 18.
Now here's Wilfried Zaha ha plays a little bit behind, but I you does get the past back to Zara NFL called against Brown.
Help free kick coming up for palace.
No, no doubt about it.
Um, uncommon will have the best teams.
100% agree with you on that.
So a clear foul there it will be Patrick van on Hall to take the free kick.
It will be a left footed ball delivered into the 18 towards that back post.
Burnley having a tough time dealing with this.
Back to Gary Cahill.
Kale, with the strike but down in time to make the save is Nick Pope.
It is a good luck for Gary Cahill. Right there.
It was a great back heel flick by I you.
And actually Cahill went through the legs of, um, James Tarkowski there, on them with the nutmeg.
It's forward to town.
Send somehow some way was ableto take that down.
Here is Ah ha has crossed back to Andrew Andrews.
Town sent town centre.
It was right foot. The strike takes a deflection.
It's now back to his Ah huh, Zaha trying toe curl that one in towards the far post.
But Ben me is there to send it the other way for Burnley.
Now's a hasn't lost Burnley Looking to make something out of this counter attack, It's much David Ra who's gonna take it into the middle now lets it go for Westwood.
Westwood, with a chance to drive forward, leaves it out wide for McNeil.
McNeil ends up going for the shot, but it's an easy save from why eat up and now the game starting to open up here.
The floodgates opening up, up and down action here in the 1st 10 minutes of the second half.
No score between Crystal Palace and Burnley.
Huh? Now here come Palace.
It's laid off for I You are You lets it go by and now sends it two's up.
Looks like he might have been that what went looking for a Hambo.
I should say it's not called now, this one clipped in Burnley.
Clear here now is Gary Cahill.
He finds real Wilfried Zaha.
I've been on hold.
It's a good through. Ball buys up.
He finds McArthur McArthur trying to get across into the box.
Instead, he'll go back to McCarthy, got MacArthur to McCarthy, can get a little bit of confusing Zal with a nice through ball here is mill.
Avoid that ****s across the six, but no one there for Palace.
But it's much better from Crystal Palace at the start of the second half that that is Ah, a no brainer when it comes to the difference in how Crystal Palace is performing the second half compared to the first half and for Crystal Palace.
I mean, they could only improve really in the in the second half because that first half was was was really bad, in my opinion, from Palace and they were fortunate to keep it.
Anil Nil scoreline.
And it's better here at the start of the second half is that fell is committed by Scott Dan free kick coming up for Burnley.
And of course, the big conversation tonight in England will be whether or not Jordan now you should have been sent off.
I think you should have.
I think it should.
It should have been a red card and he got away with nothing.
VR took a look at it for a possible red card and apparently they didn't see anything in it.
And ah, I would tend to disagree there.
I think Crystal Palace are fortunate to be playing with Jordan.
I you on the field, Jordan.
I You could have easily been sent off there, and Chris Crystal Palace could have been down in it.
Instead, they're not.
And here they come.
Wilfried Zaha with a through ball.
Four i you He's taken out just outside the box and a yellow card is now going to come out.
It's our first booking of the night and it will be Tarkowski who's given the yellow card.
Let's see the replay here.
Yes, you didn't get the ball.
It was clearly outside the box there, but it was pretty close to being inside.
But looking back on the replay about two yards outside, and here comes a dangerous free kick for Crystal Palace.
It's a good opportunity here after Tarkowski throwing the ball away from Zaha.
Clearly, the tensions are boiling over here from both sides after Ah, you know, you could easily argue that you should have been sent off.
It looks like it's gonna be mill.
Avoid events to take the free kick.
No surprise here, as he is there, free kick specialists, although we also see been on hold lining up maybe he will fire one in on goal.
No bill be Mila Voinovich curling that one to the back post.
But Burnley do well defensively as Ben Me was there, They had it.
It's a good tackle, though, and Crystal Palace back with it as we approach the hour mark, the possession just barely now in the favor of actually Crystal Palace, 51 to 49%.
They also have the slight edge in shots 76 Burnley still have the advantage on shots on goal, 3 to 2, but it's definitely even down here at the start of the second half and Dwight McNeill taken out, and that's gonna be a another yellow card this time.
It's a Crystal Palace player getting yellow card McNeil down and quite a bit of pain here as we're 60 minutes in an 30 to go.
The last thing Burnley need is more players being injured and McNeil is still down right now.
Yeah, that's just Ah, clumsy and, ah, poor lunging challenge there from McCarthy.
And so McCarthy gets the yellow and he gets the booking.
McCarthy, by the way, did come in 1/2 time.
I said Crystal Palace didn't make any changes.
But he was Ah, the He was one of the one player that came in to start the second after Crystal Palace.
I completely forgot that that he came in and ah made that.
Or rather, Roy Hodgson made that change a halftime.
But then he did come in for Cogliatti.
Looks like MacNeill's back on his feet and it appears that he is going to be OK, which is a good sign for sure.
62nd minute in a free kick for Burnley.
It's a good ball and that, er in a beautiful save right there.
Oh no, it's gone in.
I thought it was saved, but it's deflected off the glove of Ouachita and in the bag of the net go Oh Burnley have broke the deadlock and it's none other than the captain Ben Me, who puts the away side in front.
It was a good adder towards that back post, but I thought Guaita had that saved all eyes on the palace goalkeeper as he really should have done better with it.
I mean, he got there in time.
Let's see the replay here only went off the post and I thought I thought he parried it wide, but that was not the case.
Kind of a strange goal right there.
But he tried that.
Steer it wide of the goal for a corner kick cause he definitely wasn't gonna catch it.
But instead it went off.
The post it in and the power from Ben Me generate on the header really seem to be the deciding factor on that.
And it's Burnley who take the lead one to nothing over Crystal Palace.
62nd minute goal from me and it says every first Premier League goal this season.
How about that from the defender Crystal Palace now looking to respond? Do I watch comparable World Cup qualifying? Yeah, yeah, I do watch a little bit of comparable World Cup qualifying.
I believe being sports shows comparable World Cup call. Fine.
If I'm not mistaken, it's now a corner kick for Crystal Palace.
Right footed in swinger from McCarthy.
Eric Peters was there to clear it away.
Thank you, Super Sam for joining the broadcast to remind it will be an IndyCar NASCAR doubleheader on Saturday.
It will be IndyCar at 12 Eastern and then on Sunday at four Eastern.
What a weekend that should be at Indianapolis Motor Speedway over doing good. Sam.
Glad to have you here for some Premier League action between Crystal Palace and Burnley Burnley Just breaking the deadlock.
It's Ben Mee's header who has put the away side in front.
Hit the top of the hand of Guaita.
But he really should have done better with it, I thought, anyways, and the Burnley fans watching from home in their virtual watch parties, celebrating a plenty because their size got a crucial goal as they look to get a big three points on the road.
But still plenty more work to do before that, I should have done camp.
Yeah, I mean, I thought about it, but I just I I wasn't willing to pay that much for a virtual camp.
I mean, I could have done it, but, Oh, no, I don't know.
It's kind of cheap for three weeks.
I mean, in my opinion, that it was a lot.
I know it's three weeks, but but, um, I don't know it.
Eight hundreds a lot, though that's that's Ah, that's a lot of money.
I talked with my parents in the they didn't really.
I mean, they were really willing to help out, either.
I mean, I would have probably had to pay for, like, 50% of it.
So I don't know.
You're meeting people like Adam Schefter.
That's that must have been cool today.
I saw you posting that you had tons of people from sports gastro there.
Yeah, I'm sure Michael and Lucia Nathan Yeah.
Cool minutes. Yeah.
Yeah, I saw I saw that Sam Federal mons up is doing it too.
I mean, hey, I was, um I was definitely thinking about it, but I decided not to do it.
You want the A F c World Cup qualifier to be on TV? Yeah, that's probably not gonna happen, but I would definitely like check it out if it waas 66th minute Here.
Crystal Palace Nil Burnley one on SportsCastr.
Glad to have you all tuning in Burnley in the lead.
This would be a huge three points if they can get the victory would be a big a big loss for Crystal Palace because yes, they lost four nailed a Liverpool.
But that was against Liverpool.
You know that was more or less expected, but they were on a four game win streak before that and I was really expecting this game to be won that they bounced back and get a victory over a team and Burnley, who have been dealing with so many injuries and still are dealing with a lot of injuries.
Jack Cork is down and now we have a stoppage in the athletic Trainers will take a look at him.
He seems to be in quite a bit of discomfort here and this is a good time to take the water break, which they will indeed take right now right around the midway point.
The second half, 3/4 through this one.
And it's one nil.
Burnley with the lead.
Let's see what happened.
Oh, yeah, he landed on his ankle awkwardly there.
Yeah, that was quite a strange landing from Cork.
Just twisted his ankle.
It looks like hopefully it's nothing too bad here for court, but I don't know if he's gonna be able to continue.
You definitely rolled his ankle there and hopefully it's not too bad, but we'll keep an eye on that as the second half water break takes place as I speak Monday night action in the Premier League and primarily action roles on all of this week.
All of the teams who were in action in the F A Cup this with this past weekend, they'll be having their Premier League games either tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday.
We've got some really good games.
I'm looking forward, Teoh being on the call for Ah brightened Man United tomorrow, then Chelsea West Ham on Wednesday.
And then, of course, Liverpool Man City on Thursday on Thursday up.
So a ton to look forward to.
Good to see Cork on this feat for Burnley.
You're going to be able to walk it off on his own and we'll keep an eye on the on cork.
But I don't think he's going to be able to continue here.
It looks like Burnley are gonna be forced to make a substitution and you won't.
You won't want to really risk it with with Cork, either firmly have enough injuries already and still I If I were them, I would I would definitely not take the risk.
Even if Cork may be able to continue, it looks like Sean Dietsch will make a substitution.
But as Cork is being looked at, Burnley is playing with 10 men temporarily.
And we'll see, of course, will be able to continue.
Or if Sean Dietsch will have to make his first substitution of the night, there are five substitution.
So it's, um there is the possibility that that Dutch could make a substitution because he hasn't even used one of them yet.
You're going back to camp from 4 30 to 6 30 All right.
Will you enjoy Isaac? It sounds like you're having a good first day.
Especially since you got to meet.
Um, since he got Teoh, see Adam Schefter and ask him a question.
That was pretty cool.
There will be a substitution now made Cork will be coming out for Burnley every Tuesday and Thursday.
There are night time. Hang out.
So we do the talk show after nine or before 4 30 Okay.
Yeah, No worries.
I should I should be good to go tomorrow night.
70th minute here.
And so it is long coming on and it's cork coming off.
This is back now for town centre.
MacArthur with the ball in and it was actually a good looking service into the area.
But it was Peter's there with the sliding challenge to clear the way.
Good pressure from Crystal Palace that's really looking for the equaliser.
With under 20 minutes to go Now here comes the corner kick.
Been on hold with the delivery.
It's right at the edge of the six yard box.
They can't clear it out.
Birnley Mill Avoid.
***** sends it in the mix and multiple collisions there eventually Ah, foul called against Palace in a free kick going out the other way.
Roy Hodgson, watching on from the sideline, looks to be a little bit worried at this point.
His team really Ah needs three points here if they want to get if they want to get near Europa league spot or even want to be Ah you know, talked about about the possibility of getting a Europa League spot because there's still plenty of work to do for Crystal Palace if they wanna, you know, get a Europa League spot finish in seventh place.
It's definitely still a possibility.
Don't get me wrong, but ah, loss against Burnley will not help one bid What's going on? Brad, Welcome into the broadcast breath.
Glad to have you here as we're in the 72nd minute.
Burnley with the lead.
Ben Me scoring 10 minutes ago on a header and it was actually the captain Ben me use the left center back scoring his first goal of the season in a big one.
It was for Burnley.
Can they hold off for the three points? Or will Crystal Palace get the equalizer and make make this one a very fascinating ending? Long clear to the way from Burnley There were shots for a foul.
But the referee, Simon Hooper, it's not giving it.
It will be a throw in for Van on hope.
So you're his chance sent looking for Jordan I you and it will be off of I you for a Burnley throwing This would be a huge result for Burnley and the goal that separates the two sides is that diving header from me.
It was a good head or I'll tell you that much.
I do think though, that while you toe should've done better with that, the goalie for Palace.
I mean, I just didn't get enough on its A stents to send it wide.
It went off the post and in.
It's not an easy save by any means, but I think he could have done better with it.
And I thought he did make the save it first until I realized that it was in the back of the net off the post and went.
And that's the difference between these two sides so far.
Event Just most likely to win city out of the season.
Yeah, Unfortunately, that does seem likely.
Although you never know.
They have a four point advantage over Lazio and they're still Ah, a good amount of games left in the season.
So I'm not I'm not, you know, saying you meant this are the champions.
I'm not I'm not.
Ah, I'm not writing laws.
What yet? Because event this could slip up there Not really having their best season, But they might still be the champions, but yeah, it is most likely that they do when City AJ It's true.
I you are you looking for Zaha? But it's a poor ball, but Burnley give it right back with a poor pass of their own.
And here comes Ah ha ha ha! Into the box trying to get on.
It was left foot.
It's a good challenge from the right center back.
James Tarkowski was on the yellow card as well.
God has got to be careful.
But that was all ball right there.
Beautifully done by the right center back for Burnley.
Didn't look like it actually went last off of Zaha.
The referee must have missed it because the corner kick has been awarded here 75th minute.
As the sun sets in London, it's all the way through.
And the strike from my you takes a deflection and Pope will cover up Inter might have a chance, not injure my over here.
In terms. Inter Milan.
Uh, maybe Maybe.
I don't know, man.
They the Tide Sassuolo And then they didn't beat Parma.
There could be Parma yesterday, but they really got lucky winning that game.
They did not have a good game.
They were down one nil and they had two goals inside the last 10 minutes.
And that second goal is a very lucky goal.
Um, not lucky gold, but I mean just awful defending from Parma.
A super easy heather at the back post and ah yeah, interred.
They got the three points yesterday which were big, but I I wasn't impressed with with the performance, To be honest with you, they'll need to play better if they if they want to have a chance, that's for sure.
Yeah, they do play brush on Wednesday.
Yeah, yeah, indeed.
Ever since City Oz return, there's been so many Golden City I'd spent awesome every game in city eyes that almost every game it seemed to be so exciting.
You're his town.
Send a little step over now takes into the box.
And he tried to clip that ball in, but Charlie Taylor was in the way.
It's Dwight McNeill helping out, but Johnson still has it.
And how about that strike from way out? Just over the bar.
But a good look from town sent? Yeah, definitely.
You have to play well against against pressure for sure they need to get back on track.
It hasn't been the best of restarts for Inter.
Russia is going to city what city be indeed.
And that will be it for Townsend.
Actually, he has.
He's coming out of the game and we'll see who enters four. Palace.
This is the second.
Just second changes the game.
Actually four Palace.
Both teams haven't made a whole lot of substitution is here.
It will be Meyer coming on for 10 cents.
See, this is a move that makes sense, in my opinion, from Roy Hodgson.
So I think I have Ah, I think he's a good player.
Honestly, Max Meyer the youngster.
But I think should be given opportunity in the starting lineup for Crystal Palace.
You didn't start tonight, but Roy Hodgson puts them in off the bench here.
And let's see what type of impact he can make in the last 12 minutes or so.
Benavente is replacing Brescia. Yeah.
So, Ben, events will be coming back up. Indeed.
Yeah, by the way, in the Bundesliga, stood guard is coming back up.
They won promotion back into the Bundesliga.
So, uh, congratulations.
Teoh stood guard on getting back up to the first division.
My dad's a astute guard fan in for that's his favorite German team because he actually he actually had a friend.
No, one of his teammates in college had a friend who played for astute guard.
Yeah, my dad's friend gave him a street guard jersey, and so ever since then, my dad's been a fan of ST Guard.
This one's been played short.
So how with the service, the header just marked by a hair over the crossbar? What a chance Awas Roy Hodgson having a laugh about he can't believe his team hasn't found the back of the net ever ever since Burnley scored that goal.
Crystal Palace have been on the front foot, creating chance after chance.
Oh man, one. An opportunity there.
Are you with the chance suit? Probably shouldn't even be on the pitch right now.
You should have a red card early on in the second half, but you still out there and I couldn't keep the header down.
And Roy Hodgson knows that time is running out for his side as Burnley still hanging on to that one. Nothing. Lead.
Billy Crystal Palace Haven't six corners tonight.
Burnley have only had one.
It's quite a fascinating stat.
Here is Gary Cahill.
10 minutes plus stoppage time left for Crystal Palace to get back into this game here might be a chance.
Scott Danto Men on hope.
Meyer lays it back for MacArthur.
MacArthur with a good Baltazar.
Ah ha! But you are.
Actually, I you My apologies, But I tried to bring it down with his chest.
It was too heavy of a touch.
And Pope is there for Burnley.
Oh, man, What an opportunity it was right there.
So here, Crystal Palace, come the other way.
It's in the midfield with McCarthy C****y over the vent on all now Cahill to McCarthy.
Burnley! Just trying to hold on to the shutout.
Looking to secure the three points is gonna be a long final nine minutes for Burnley though you've got to think here is Ah huh Let's do a kind of magic you can produce.
The cross is blocked, but it's back out wide.
Crystal Palace still in control.
Za again to Mila boy ***** back to Za zat with the shot from a tight angle.
But it does deflect and it's out of play for a corner kick.
All right, a lot footed delivery here.
Let's see what I have.
A ball will be sent in the box by ban on hold corner kick headed down, but not out.
Here is Max Meyer Meyer toe out wide for Jordan i u I u takes into the 18 I you to Meyer and Meyer trying to lay it off for I believe MacArthur.
But before that past could go through Burnley able to clear E third minute, folks, thank you, everyone for tuning in what a game this is turning out to be.
And that couldn't quite be controlled by Joel Ward.
It's out of play for a throwing.
How about these last 10 minutes, though? It's been all Crystal Palace with the ball.
Burnley Just trying to stay disciplined defensively and they've done so so far.
How much longer can they hold up, though, and stand to Meyer? Zaha lays it back, and here now is Meyer.
That's a wasted ball, though, and it's a goal kick for Burnley and Nick Pope will be in no hurry whatsoever to take the gold kick.
You got an overhead look of London? No, look at that beautiful, beautiful look at London, England right now, as the sun is setting on this summer evening.
Yeah, I want I want to visit London.
It looks like a very cool city.
That's a nice shot of the skyline in London.
Hamburg just missed out from going to the Bundesliga next season. Yeah, I know.
Yeah, I think of Bobby Would The American is on Hamburg? Still human.
He might have left them.
He was on Hamburg.
I remember foul called against Crystal Palace.
MacArthur, The guilty party.
Peters was the one taken down.
It's now a free kick. Your in the 85th minute.
Westwood takes the free kick, Head of the cross, but the shot way over from Brown Hill.
But that's better from Burnley right there.
Yeah, he just trying to take it off the bounce there and mistimed it.
That's why Brown Hill strike went way over.
In the end, like the referees, Simon Hooper was debating on whether call foul.
There it seemed like he had the whistle in his mouth.
Put the side of let them play.
And that will now be a Burnley.
Throwing it will be Charlie Taylor to take the throw, by the way, Actually, I meant to say this earlier in the broadcast.
A, uh, a new wave of Corona virus chests have come in.
Uh, I believe around 2 2.
5 1000 players were tested in the last in the last run of tests this week and the results have came in and just one player tested positive in the in the latest.
Ah, in the latest results of tests, That's great news.
That's great news.
The primary league has ah done a great job returning to action here, and they have kept the, uh, positive Corona virus test down a lot better than I probably would have expected.
To be honest with you, eso.
So far, so good since the premiere league restart here is Phil Bardsley, that is off the shin of Mila Boy of inch out of play for Burnley throwing.
And I spent a skill from Dwight McNeill Well, the Crystal Palace.
Have it back 87th minute time, winding down on the clock early with the one nothing advantage.
Still, can they close out for the victory? Crystal Palace.
Still searching for that first goal of the game, they've had trouble in creating opportunities.
It's been a frustrating night for Crystal Palace, but there's still time.
It turned around your in at least sal***ed a point.
They're giving it everything they've got here in the late stages Reminder in the primarily will be man city taking on the Liverpool that will cap off the ah matchday on Thursday at 3 15 Eastern.
That should be a good one.
Two best teams in the league years.
Jordan, I you with the opportunity, the shots Well, wide but Crystal Powers claiming it took a deflection.
But the referee is not having it.
And I actually didn't well toe create that chance for himself.
But in the end, the shot was not the one he was looking for.
Just couldn't get any curl whatsoever on it.
And you know the right decision by the referee to give a goal kick.
Did I see the picture from the Russian Premier League on ESPN F seasons two grand page? Yeah, I did.
I did find Yeah, that was a pretty That was a pretty cool Um that was pretty cool. What they did.
Yeah, Yeah, I I like that.
A banner they had up by the way.
Crystal palaces upcoming primarily fixtures on Saturday they'll be at Leicester City.
July 7th will host Chelsea well on from Burnley On Sunday, they'll host Sheffield United on July.
They'll be at West Ham and then July 11th at Liverpool as we're one minute away from stoppage time.
Now, you know that was pretty cool.
What? Ah, what Zenit ST Petersburg did.
I didn't see that.
That picture that ESPN FC posted here is the free kick.
It's all the way through to MacArthur.
MacArthur to the back post in the area was got Dan, but it's headed away by then. Me.
He's doing a great job tonight, Ben.
Meet having a solid game.
He has the lone goal in this one, and he's also been the focal point of the Burnley defense, as he is so often.
And let's see how much time they add on to the end of this second half.
Been on hold with the corner kick.
Hope missed it by this teammate thereto had it out of the box, and they'll be four minutes of stoppage time.
Four minutes left for Crystal Palace.
Here, here is Jordan I.
You He still has it.
The Joel Ward worn with a good looking ball pope.
That's a punch to its second chance.
Another save third opportunity.
And what a block it waas! How about that? Bodies left and right.
It was Chris Long, the substitute actually for Burnley who got in front of that second That third effort.
Excuse me for from Crystal Palace.
Good job, Russia.
Yeah, it was well done.
It was well done.
I will say two good saves from Pope and Burnley A little.
Ah, little shaky at the back there, But, um, in the end, the second, the third chance was blocked.
Excuse me by by long And who knows if that would have gone in the back of the net had he not gotten in the way.
Take that shine! Ah, no! Now it's MacArthur! Back to Max Meyer.
Good ball in but the header Streets of the Keeper Gary Cahill was on the end of the service, but no difficulty whatsoever for Nick Pope.
It's a comfortable saving the end for the English international as we're about midway through stoppage time.
Roy Hudson thought that might have been the chance Golden opportunity.
But in the end, Crystal Palace still searching for that goal.
URAS Max Meyer, back for Mila Voinovich and ever from Guaita we'll let Ben me score leg.
What might turn out to be the long goal of this game and yeah, I said it earlier.
You know, one goal is maybe all that's needed in this game to the side of winner.
And that might turn out to be the case.
And I'm not really surprised that that might turn out to be the case.
At the end of the day, it's halftime in LA Liga.
Okay? Is there any score between on top and rail? So see that as we've got one minute left, it looks like Burnley will be able to close this one out.
Oh, it's one nil.
Wow! Yeah. Associate data are struggling.
Both of those teams actually are in a are are in good spots on the table.
I think they're both six and seventh place, respectively.
The Europa League seems like a realistic possibility from both.
We associate have been struggling ever since the break.
So have a top, I thought fate.
To be fair, I don't think either than have one since returning 10 seconds left.
One last attack for Crystal Palace Maybe, but they're not going to be able to generate one.
Is Burnley just blast this one down the other way.
It's taken down by yeah G to excuse me and now well, the referee at a few more seconds.
It's a nice move in the midfield by Van on hold, but they won't be able to create another chance because the final whistle is blown by Simon Hooper and this game is in the books.
It's Crystal Palace nil, Burnley one and Burnley! Move up the table.
Ah huge! Three points for the away side.
They move up to eighth on 45 points.
Crystal Palace remain in 11th on 42 points.
It was Ben Mee's goal in the 62nd minute that gets Burnley the wind water when it is for Berlin.
Looking at the upcoming matches for both sides for Crystal Palace, they'll be in action Saturday at Leicester City.
Burnley's next match will be Sunday against Sheffield United at 7 a.m.
Gabrielle, not it will be on the halftime.
Yeah, I switch it over the Nbcsn, then for primarily postgame coverage.
But what a win for Burnley on the road of Crystal Palace.
I know it's different with no fans at Selhurst Park, but nonetheless Wow, what a victory and it's all smiles for Burnley.
They got thrashed by Man City in their first game back.
Not a big win midweek against Watford.
And then how about this win against Crystal Palace? They seem to be trending back into the right direction.
Burnley! And it's a really good sign considering they don't have some of their best players available due to injury as well.
And that that should be an entertaining game, actually, between Burnley and Sheffield at the weekend to Sheffield or Assad, who have struggled since the return.
And ah, as I said, two teams heading in the opposite direction because Burnley are heading up boards.
I don't I don't think that will be easy. Win for Sheffield.
Maybe Burlington get a point out of that game.
You never know, but rightly so.
Our ah rightly deserved victory, I should say for Burnley on the road against Crystal Palace once again a reminder of what's ahead in the Premier League tomorrow at 3:15 p.
Eastern time, it'll be brightened vs Manchester United.
Then on Wednesday at one, it's ****nal versus Norwich City at 3 15 West Ham vs Chelsea Then on Thursday at one.
It's Sheffield United versus taught him in 3 15 Manchester City versus Liverpool.
Looking ahead to the weekend on Saturday at 7:30 a.
It's Norwich City versus Brighton at 10 a.
It's both Man United vs Bournemouth and Leicester City vs Crystal Palace at 12 30.
Wolves versus ****nal and three Chelsea vs Watford.
What a week ahead.
It is in the Premier League, so many games to look forward to so many great matchups as well.
And just as I wrap up my broadcast here, certainly not a fun team to watch by any means, but they find ways to win.
It's not aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but they find a way to win and they move up to eight places, I said huge, three points.
They now move up to 45 points.
Crystal Palace in 11th.
They remain on 42 what I want to win for Burnley.
And uh, I think really what stood out to me is well, Burnley were the better side in the first half, first of all, and it was a little bit of a slow start the second half, but then they got going a little bit.
Um, Crystal Palace did improve in the second half but just didn't have the finishing touch and Burling out 13 clean sheets the season, the second most in the Premier League.
And what I was actually just going to say is that discipline Defensively, the defense is what wins Burnley games.
Obviously, the goal scoring has been an issue for Burnley.
But they get a breakthrough goal today and it gets in the three points because now that they rely on their defense, at times they maybe do.
But their defense really, really gives them the confidence to go out.
And ah, you know, keep the clean sheet with Nick Pope behind the pipes and a great back line of Joel Ward Scott Dan Rather, Excuse me, Charlie, Charlie Taylor, Bend me, James Tarkowski and filled Barnsley and burly.
They have one loss in the last 10 Premier League matches.
I think that says a lot about them.
They're only four points back of sixth place Manchester United and so hey, could Burnley make the Europa League? They did so in 2018 and 19.
I'm not saying they will make Europa League, but it's being interesting into the season for Burnley because they're actually looking pretty solid, I'd say and Ah, and watch out because, uh, the these players on Burnley's seemed seemed to have a lot of confidence.
They seem to be united as a team.
You know, who knows? There's question marks going forward for whether he'll remain at Burnley or not, but the seams given him everything they've got.
Sean Dyche isn't letting that.
Ah, those those rumors, you know, play a factor in affect the team in a negative way at all.
And so, yeah, a big three points for Burnley and before I sign off, let's go through the highlight shally in the 19th minute.
It was first Burnley with their best opportunity up to that point in the game off of a corner kick and it was actually to Ah, Dwight McNeill, who had the Ah second chance and he had a good look, actually.
But the left footed strike went over the bar and, yeah, a lot of faces, a lot of Ah faces of frustration for Crystal Palace in the early stages and Crystal Palace would get I guess you could call it 1/2 chance in the 32nd minute.
Where Jordan, I You struck one and on gold from distance.
But it wasn't really a chance whatsoever. Easy.
See, for Nick Pope and Ah, that was really the type of first half it was for Crystal Palace than in the 42nd minute.
It was Burnley once again with a chance and original say, by Guaita and in the and then on the rebound, Old man, What a chance! That was for Eric Peters, but just didn't.
Didn't, you know, quite get his footing? Right? And it was Ah, he took a swipe at it, but not quite quite the contact he was looking for.
Then the 49th minute.
This is where the controversy took place.
An elbow from Jordan.
I you into the face of Josh Brown Hill.
I think this is violent conduct.
VR took a look at it for a possible red card.
I thought it should have Should have been a red card.
In the end, it didn't It didn't cost Burnley, but I thought that should have been a red card on Crystal Palace.
I thought Jordan, you should have been sent off.
It clearly looked intentional to me, but then we move ahead.
It was Gary Cahill actually had a pretty good look but didn't get the strike off that he wanted.
And then in the 62nd minute it was the breakthrough goal.
Bend me with a diving header on the free kick.
How about Ben? Me, the defender and captain for the sperm Lee side able to find the back of the net.
And you know it's solid defending actually from Ah from Joel Ward.
It's just a beautiful goal from Ben.
Me and I do think that you two could have done better with at the Palace.
Goalkeeper was trying to steer it wide.
It went off the post and in and Burnley took the lead.
Would that be the only goal of the game? Well, it wasn't over quite yet because Crystal Palace poured on the chances in the 79th minute.
It was a header that went over the bar.
Oh man, what a chance! This waas it just the header couldn't quite be controlled by Jordan.
I you in the frustration really started kicking for palace then in the 81st minute.
A few minutes later it was a service towards that back post in Jordan.
I you try to take it down with his chest but he just couldn't quite do it and it went into the hands of Nick Moke, then 82nd minute, another opportunity for Palace across from Zaha that took a deflection out of play for corner kick.
Then we had two stoppage time, 91st minute.
This was the real opportunity, I thought one chance, say made by Pope.
Second chance they made by Pope and then on the third opportunity out of nowhere, the substitute long comes in and blocks the opportunity and that ended up being enough for Burnley to get the victory.
Let's look at the remaining primarily fixtures for Burnley will take on Sheffield on Saturday.
They'll go at West Ham on July 8th at Liverpool on July 11th.
Then they'll host Wolves.
Then they'll be at Norwich City and they'll close out on July 26 against Brighton.
Hey, there's some tough fixtures in there and then some some Ah, some doable games in there for Burnley know Rebecca Lowe? Yeah, now Rebecca Lows, Ben offs all weekend and she won't come back, I think, until until next weekend.
She's getting the whole week off.
She works pretty hard for sure. Yep.
Kyle Martino was there with with Robbie Mustoe half 1/2 time in the post game.
All right, that will do for my broadcast, folks.
I appreciate you tuning in its Burnley one Crystal Palace nil The final Ah, huge away victory for Burnley! Despite the injuries, they find a way to win.
The defense is the story of the game for Burnley.
But then means breakthrough gold turned out to be the difference.
It's Burnley! You move up to eat place in the table.
I'll be back tomorrow for Brighton.
Many night at 3 15 Eastern Hope to see you, then enjoy the rest of your Monday folks.
