There's a new option out on SportsCastr.
Probably guys out there and you can actually be a dual SportsCastr with wonder buddies they give to make out there dropping, not SportsCastr bomb.
As you like to say, we're going to see if we can get Sam on this broadcast tonight I met Dr Were talking off the in camera league restart.
We're talking Liverpool were talking Man City.
The top four race, the relegation vital all things Pemberley, Greece.
Week 29 has just finished and as recently with Manchester City beating Burnley today five.
Now let's even get Sam onto the broadcast.
He's requested to co host Cross Your Fingers.
Hopefully this works and I'm accepting his co hosted by Please tell me that this will work.
Though sports broadcaster Sam can hear then yes, I can.
Can you hear? May I can't.
How's it going? Right there? We're going.
Going Well, I'll have about you.
I'm doing great, man.
I'm excited that we were getting back to these technical issues.
I'm excited that we're able Teoh go alive now.
Let's talk some soccer.
So let's go back because it was a great match.
What's start off with the table? So, of course, are not Liverpool.
Hold a 20 point lead over in Manchester City who are currently in second place.
Leicester City drops points this weekend.
They're currently in third place with Chelsea in fourth place, three points behind Leicester and Man United, five points behind Chelsea for that Champions League battle.
But a lot of the talk Right now it's towards those Champions League spots.
But unfortunately for you, gunner, fans out there are so does not look like they're going to make the champions or even the rope a leak.
Quite honestly, they suffered that bad, embarrassing.
Lost in Manchester City this past Wednesday.
Mid week, Dr Buoys get sent off in the 20th minutes.
The 45th minute I believe it was.
He comes on the 20th minute, gets sent off in the 45th minute.
Ourself ends out there.
There is hope for you guys.
For the future, though.
Arteta is a good manager and you have a lot of nice young developing players.
But this season, good for ****nal, Sam.
They lost a mansion the 3rd 3 now on Wednesday, and then they put up a terrible performance against Bright and Nicholas.
A great goal against Brighton on Saturday.
They're up one now.
They're looking good and then they somehow concede two goals in the last 15 minutes of the game, with Ma pay of all people scoring the winner in the 95th minute.
Take us through your thoughts on ****nal struggles recently because before the break they had a lost and the president leak in 2020.
Yeah, I know it's it's actually crazy when you when you think about that.
I mean, it has been a Ah, very frustrating season for ****nal, and it was surprising how, you know, before the break they were undefeated in 2020 and the Premier League before it came to a pause in early to mid March.
But yeah, that this returned been absolutely miserable.
And it's it's the ****nal were used to at the beginning of the year as well.
Ah, and yeah, it's it's a mess.
Quite frankly, I mean, okay, you lose to Man City.
First game back three.
No, I mean an awful performance in awful performance, pretty much.
And you know, David Louise didn't help.
And, uh, you know, they didn't know that problem.
Ari was gonna get injured and dabble Louise, As you said when it is a substitute and his night couldn't have been worst for the awful mistake of the back that gifted Raheem Sterling the first goal and then just a stupid Ah, stupid red card! A clear red card taking out Riyad Mahrez and then Kevin Dobruna converting from the spot.
Just like that, You're down two nil.
But even though David Louise made those two mistakes, Man City still deserved to win three.
No, I thought they were by far the superior side.
But then Okay, ****nal, you lose Demand city on Wednesday.
Quick turnaround! The Saturday you're playing brighten a team you should be able to be in.
We thought I think a lot of us thought we're gonna beat after that Wonder goal.
As you say from Nico Pepe Pepe a player who has disappointed since he really joined ****nal.
But that was an absolutely beautiful strike.
Left footed curler.
No way the keeper was getting to it in ****nal and typical ****nal fashion.
They can't they can't hold off for the win and ah, they allow a sloppy goal in the box.
First off, where the defense was all over the place for ****nal, they couldn't clearing away on that.
That's what tied it up past the 80th minute and then the last kick of the game, literally from Paramount Pay, who was involved in a bit of controversy in that game.
The last minute play.
Cheeky little finished over Martinez.
But once again you have to question the defense from ****nal.
I mean, brighten.
It was a simple It was simple combination.
12 from ah, from Al Pain.
Don't get me wrong, brighten.
It was a beautiful, beautiful goal.
But ****nal let them go right through them way too easily.
And it was a great friend of finished from Mount Pay.
And just like that, ****nal lose the game.
What seemed like a sure three points after that pep bagel ended up being a second straight loss.
And uh, that's a nightmare situation from ****nal back from the, uh what was that 100 day hiatus? And yeah, you said it.
I mean, they make LR Tetteh.
He is, he see he is a good coach.
He's in a tough situation right now, and they do have good young players.
But, I mean, it's gonna take a while for them, for them to get back into ah, get back to being a team who you can consider a real title contender because there's just all kinds of things going wrong with them.
I mean, why is most why does move stop? You still start at the back for our So I think men stop.
He's been awful, quite frankly.
And the problem with ****nal is it's not like they can they consent, sell any any of these players because no one wants them.
Who wants Mustafi or Daven Louise? Right now, nobody and, uh, it's a tough situation.
They're in and you have the whole situation with Ozil.
Lack is that didn't start against Man City.
And then Mikel Arteta puts and catchy on the bench for the game against Brighton and then plays.
Lack is that I think he's just trying to mix it up a little bit and find what's right, but, uh, but it's just made things worse, I think.
And yeah, I mean ****nal.
They have so many issues, especially at the back.
And, uh, I don't know, man, it's it's gonna it's gonna take some time before I can.
I can really take ourselves seriously again as ah pause of team who can possibly compete for the Premier League title? I agree with you in part of ****nal's defence has shown just terrible performances recently even in their winds.
It's very questionable.
Mustafi as a centre back.
I know about that.
But I think for our so right now, the important in for them, Sam is so just not worry about the rest of the season.
Gets next season replenished.
Yes, active in this transfer market because not a lot of clubs can be there.
One of the lucky clubs that probably can't splash out a player and probably can buy a player like a really and they need to look for to next season because it's not looking like they're gonna make Europa league spot this coming fall and it's going to go downhill for them.
For the rest of this.
Leno's injured Now You mentioned moppet earlier with that altercation with Leno, the goalkeeper.
You really get to see goalkeepers get injured too much in soccer games, especially the primary league they call get stretched out.
And that's all a big altercation, especially with moppet post match going on on ourselves, saying that they deserved it because they were talking smack during the game.
This is crazy with arson right now.
I think that you stay healthy, look forward to next season and move on and hope it contend for a Champions League spot next season, transitioning into two teams that could potentially make the Champions League for next fall.
Tottenham, Hot Spurs and Manchester United.
They both had City seasons.
A lot of injuries between both of them, but players returned that probably wouldn't have returned if they this have a break back in March.
Paul Pogba, of course.
Coming back and Ryan out.
Spark for Manchester United, but also Anton UM 100 song. Coming back.
One of Tottenham's leading goal scores for the past 10 15 years.
Harry Kane comes back.
Who was in Marino's? Finally, it seems like, sparked a charge in this burst in which he has really been able to do these past couple months.
I thought that's on.
It would be higher in the table, and they're just not.
So what are your thoughts on Spurs? Manchester United? I think it's a well deserved draw for both teams, of course.
Stephen Burge Wine gives Spurs that really read on that counter attack by the bad save on the hair.
There's questions on his future.
15 Henderson really impressing at Sheff United this season.
So what? Your thoughts on Metro Tonight and Spurs going out again? A deserved draw.
But both of these teams really needed those three points.
Yeah, they did, but yeah, you Ah, you make a good point.
Both teams really did need the three points.
I do think a draw was a fair result.
It was It was a fairly entertaining game.
I mean, first game back for both teams Friday, and I under the lights at a Tottenham's awesome new stadium in London much bigger than White Hart Lane, that's for sure, but it was always going to be weird without fans, which is something we'll have to get used.
But yeah, I thought I thought it was an entertaining game.
Tottenham started great.
I was impressed with that with that first half.
But give grants a man united they didn't.
They didn't give up.
They didn't back down.
In fact, late on the second half they could they could have could have won it.
And I think the key was Paul Pug.
But he came in and he made an impact, which we haven't seen a while.
We haven't seen him do that in a while for for Manchester United, he drew the penalty, and then Bruno for Nan Dez, the young Portuguese star converting from the penalty spot, who was quiet for most parts before leading up to that leading up to that penalty that he converted.
But he came up big when it mattered.
He got Man United the point.
Um, I think, I think, um, you know, many night it will be a bit disappointed that they didn't get the three points to inch closer to Chelsea, but at least they sal***ed a point.
They were given another penalty kick later on, which was Ah, which would have been crazy.
But via are rightly overturned.
It it was It was the correct decision to not give a penalty kick too many night.
And I think based on what I saw for the full 90 minutes, a 11 draw, a fair result.
And you know Josie Marino.
He won't be super pleased with not getting the three points, but, you know, taught them we'll move forward from here and in so well, Man United's.
It's not the worst result coming back from break, even though both managers, you know, would have definitely preferred, Ah, three points back based on taught them trying to at least make a Europa League spot and get back on track in many United battling for a Champions League spot.
But, yeah, I thought I thought it was a good game 11 A fair result.
We had have been a VR controversy as well, which is nothing new to the Premier League.
Even though it's Ah, a lot of things have changed.
No fans, different protocols.
We still have the controversy from Via are so that hasn't changed.
First game back, in fact, with villain Sheffield had controversy in it as well.
And just one more thing on day.
I'm glad you mentioned him because David today I mean, he's declined significantly.
I mean, he was he was one of, if not the best goalkeepers in the world.
You know, back in, back in, I mean, you could probably say the 2016 euros around that time, uh, for both Spain and man United.
But I don't know what's up.
I mean, that that have been a pretty routine say, for a goalkeeper like to hate a make on that shot from Bourg wine and, uh, just a mistake.
Ah, goalkeeper like to Hey, I can't afford to make.
And yeah, Dean Henderson.
He's on loan to Sheffield United.
As I say, he's been doing pretty good there.
I wouldn't bring him in quite yet.
I'd let him maybe have one more season with Sheffield.
I waited out one more season to see how day it does.
But if if, if he if he struggles once again next season, then why not bring Henderson? And because it's it's getting close to time, I think, because the struggles have been really today at Man United, Do you agree? And Dean Henderson has been won the best school Capers and the permanently this season.
Maybe it's putting him all alone to another team that are playing Champions League football to get usedto the bigger clubs to get amused, toe blocking shots from the big time stars in the Champions League.
So probably won't be at Sheff United either way next year.
They problem sent him to a bigger club alone, But you mentioned it earlier.
It's the gift that keeps on giving man.
I mean one season in and the permanently fans are already calling it to be scrapped.
It's a very if you're not watching your team, it's very fun to see their cows.
It's if you're neutral watching metrics and I experts game like we were on Friday, it was hilarious to see the A r almost mess it up again.
I agree with you that that second penalty, if they gave that, that would have been awful.
That another bad look on BR and Manchester United have already, uh, got 11 penalties this season, most in the primary league.
So they just the VR is a tribute to see how they change that going next year because it's a big concern for the permanent league.
But let's move on to our favorite club Chelsea Football Club.
There are back in action on Sunday afternoon against Aston Villa Aston Villa. Of course.
Not the best season, of course.
Losing Tammy Abraham, now Chelsea's number nine Ah, they won the championship last season.
If I remember that, rightly, they move up to the primary league.
They have a solid salt starlet start.
They challenged Chelsea back in December.
Ah, and they challenged them again.
They really did.
I was very nervous for the 1st 30 minutes Chelsea controlled the possession the whole game, which has been the story for a lot of choses losses this season.
They control the possession.
They moved the ball around, but they just can never seem to get the ball into the back of the net.
And that's what Aston Villa did do in the 39th minute of that game.
Our before halftime.
They put it in the back of the net from a set piece.
When I chose you, struggle is defending.
This abuse is defending the corner kicks.
So Chelsea, of course, Though they bring a Christian Pulisic, the un American, he really sparks the charge that they needed Ruben Loftus Cheek returns.
So that was good to see.
Angola content returns after some fiscal room buyers concerns.
So that was going to see them back for the Blues.
Were your thoughts on Aston Villa really given Chelsea, um, a run for their money? Because what's not a show seeing without some drama? Hey, I, you're exactly right, Shane.
With both of us being Chelsea fans, you know they win quite a bit, but they never they never making a comfortable win, do they? It's really a full 90 minutes of ah, of sweaty palms throughout, but, uh but yeah, no, it was it was It was if you're a neutral fan, that was That was a pretty good game to watch.
If you're a Chelsea fan, very nerve racking for sure.
I was interested with, um with you know, the decisions made by Frank Lampard to, you know, start Loftus Cheek.
Andrew Ah, have you know Tammy Abraham on the bench? But hey, hey, Prove me wrong.
Drew ended up scoring and then they turned out to be the game winner.
And that was just a striker's goal right there.
Great instinct turning, turning the corner and finding the back of that.
Yes, it took a little bit of a deflection, but it was a great term by Djourou.
But before that, as you say, we see Captain America, Christian Pulisic, come in.
And you know I love this guy.
Not just because I'm a Chelsea fan and I'm American.
I want to see, you know, Americans do good And no doubt Christian Pulisic has a bright future ahead.
But I feel like he's just such a up such a humble player to I mean, you know, it's disappoint that you didn't start, but he was up to the task.
Franklin part put him in early second half.
A few minutes later, he's on the score sheet.
By the way, that's not an easy finish.
It may look easy, but that's a great run to the back post.
By the way, Hats off Assessor asked that question.
Red, the assist on both goals.
Beautiful service into the box and then politic.
One time finish with the left foot into the roof of the net.
And that's really good.
What God Chelsea going? Because Djourou scored what two minutes later and that really swinging the pendulum and Chelsea's direction And, uh, you know Aston Villa when they got that goal in the first half? Definitely.
It definitely made me nervous.
But I think overall Chelsea were pretty much fine for the better side.
Aston Villa have been a struggling team throughout.
That's why I was kind of surprised.
They're the one newly at the half.
But I wasn't that freaked out because I thought, you know, as you said Chelsea and more the possession, I thought they were the better side throughout, creating more of the chances and that those those chance more of those chances did come in the second half and they converted on those offered opportunities they had.
So I thought it was a well deserved win for Chelsea.
A huge win for Chelsea, especially as we're discussing after Man United dropped two points against Tottenham so now Chelsea Onley are three behind, less than three points behind Leicester and five clear men United.
I think a champion Champions League spot is a sure thing now for Chelsea.
I know there's still a good amount of game, but the way they're playing I like what Frank land parts doing and we can talk about next season.
We got team a burner coming in Hakeem's IAC from my ex.
I mean, you know the goals are going to be coming from Chelsea.
The area where I do where I do have concerns is on defense that I think this is what makes us so nervous.
For the most part, Shane I mean, we we saw I think it was Ah Antonio Rudiger with with a risky back past that he got away with and then it was Andreas Christensen who made a mess of ah of a past that should have easily been cleared away, and that nearly cost them a goal.
So Chelsea just ah, their defense.
It's It needs to be better.
They've got to go out.
And this summer, hopefully and improve on the defensive side of things because that's where they're still vulnerable.
And on multiple occasions in multiple games.
That's what keeps the other team in it, you know, mistakes from Chelsea on defense in Kepa Arreaza Malago, the goalkeeper for Chelsea.
I mean, I haven't been too impressed with him since he's come over from.
I believe it was Athletic Bilbao.
I haven't been that impressed.
He he's still, you know, makes me nervous at times I don't and you know, a good defense starts with a solid goalkeeper and I don't think he's really that, you know, I love Thibault Courtois.
When he was here, it was tough to see him go away to Ray all and, uh, you know, when Mauricio sorry was here, there was that whole drama with a capital where you wouldn't go off when in the F A Cup.
I believe it was in the league Cup, I think when sorry wanted, take him off to put Caballero in for penalty kicks.
That whole drama now Frank land partisan.
I mean, obviously, Kepa is is their starter, because who else hard they they gonna put in, But I don't know, man kept.
Kevin still makes me a little nervous at times.
And the defense, definitely.
You know, Rudiger with got away with that back passes.
I said Christian said nearly cost them a goal.
And, uh, that's still what concerns me a lot if they if they shore up defensively, Chelsea are gonna be a really good team going forward.
And I really like what Franklin the car is doing with Chelsea because the goals aren't an issue for me.
It's just at the back.
That really concerns me.
And that's why a lot of players like a bench.
And like a carino color.
Bailly have been linked to Chelsea because we need that defense of support dimensionally.
We have the clinical finishers like team over and are coming in, so that's not an issue.
I think what we need to go out in the remainder of the transfer window by player, potentially like venture while by a player, country like Nicholas taken by lethal Just a shore up our back lying concert traditions.
A capital Oh, I think you put pretty solid on Sunday.
I don't think that goal wasn't really his fault.
You've seen the photo of him making that first aid and five cozy players are out of the box.
You have that lost out of the box.
You have asked the quit add.
The blocks are centre backs out of the box and it's three Aston Villa players ran from the goal.
How are you gonna stick or I go? So Kepa, he's performed really well these past couple games, especially before the walk down.
You guys met a little bit back.
I was gonna see his confidence get boosted and you measure earlier Christian Pulisic really came in. He did his drop.
Didn't get this started on Thursday against Manchester City.
We're gonna preview that game little a little later on.
That's gonna be a huge game for Chelsea.
But he came in, he did his job and so did Ross Barkley.
I really want to give water credit sparkly because he also had some really nice passes in the deep end when he was connected with Mason Melon.
He was connected with the route in the box.
So make uh, Ross Barkley also made really good impact, and Tim Abraham did eventually come on and eat your against up against his former squad.
But I think that began, but they're really looking forward to Was the man seen again? Which is why you probably didn't see the likes of Tammy Abraham Plane and the likes of Christian Pulisic starting and the likes of Reese James.
Probably not getting the start, Maybe seeing a little bit of that energy for the Manchester City game.
Let's transition into the Merseyside derby.
It ended at 00 Mohammed Saleh had a bane so he could not start against, uh, Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool have dominated this game for the past decade and 1/2.
German club has gone this close to win the primary league title.
He needs five more points to win the primary title.
But you can also do that with Lynn and the Manchester City lost the next icon weeks.
They do play each other, however, though, and the upcoming weeks of intricacy win.
Liverpool necessarily hold up the trophy.
But let's talk Merseyside derby because it was pretty underwhelming.
I mean, I said out there for an hour and 1/2 it's out there for two hours.
There wasn't a lot of action, quite honestly, Liverpool deny little my expectations of them recently.
Their results have been pretty God losing Athletico Madrid, of course, in the Champions League and then losing it show See an F A Cup losing a water for in the Premier League.
So their team, I feel like after January really took a step back and I think you might see that. Now.
I'm Man City are looking really good and I'm not going to say that Manti your journal title because I don't think they will.
They're going to challenge for I think it's going to be less than 15 points at the end of the day.
So let's talk about Liverpool's struggles.
Men Amino start on that right wind side.
Everton held their ground almost scored in the 87th minute.
They had a lot of opportunities were Charleston and cover fluid started up front together in this game.
What your thoughts on Everton holding their ground A mighty Liverpool site? Yeah, I mean, give Carlo Ancelotti Credit I was Ah, we can't forget that ****nal or in the event that sorry Everton are in the bottom half of the table right now you've been even below ****nal in the standings.
And, uh, Marco Silva, the Portuguese manager who did so well at Watford unfortunately had an awful time at Everton.
So they sacked him in December, broadened Carlo Ancelotti.
I was a little bit surprised first that Karl Enchilada he was willing to go to average.
And I mean, this is one in my in my book.
He's one of the best managers of all time.
I mean, this guy has been to all the big clubs in Europe and for him to go to a club like Everton, I mean, I think that shows you, uh how willing he is to take on this challenge and turn around.
This team never didn't haven't been that bad since he took over.
I mean, dominate Calvert Lewin.
He's been even the top goal score since Christmas in the Premier League.
Actually, obviously there were no goals in this game, but, uh car Lancelot, he had a game plan that was for Everton to sit back and maybe get some goals on the counter attack and they had the better of the chances.
Liverpool had a majority of the possession, that's for sure, and add some opportunities, not really any good ones, but average and had the best of ah chances.
And Rich Charlison will be.
Will be scratching his head at the end of the day because he really he really should have scored on one of his opportunities.
I think and and he'll be looking back on that and saying, Oh man, I could have scored against Liverpool by the Labour Charlison Ah guy who just a day or two before the game was trash talking Virgil Van **** naming a list of defenders that he said were better than Van ****.
And you know Van ****'s good without needing to be fired up.
But if you're gonna trash talking like that, then it's gonna be a tough time dealing with him.
But as the whole of the of the Liverpool team, not just Van ****, as you say, but the whole Liverpool team just a underwhelming performance overall, and, uh, and you know, I think I think Everton will be will be fine with with a nil nil drug and slipper Public eyes had the feel of, ah of, ah, preseason scrimmage and uh, it was strange with an empty Goodison Park for what's that was a big Derby game like this.
A great rivalry, Um, and so many of the mercy side.
Darby's have been fantastic games.
I'm thinking of What was it last year, When and late in the stoppage time, the ball bounced twice off the crossbar and then Divock origi was there to head it in just extraordinary.
But yeah, that this game, I mean, I was on the call for it on SportsCastr.
I nearly fell asleep commentating it.
Unfortunately, it did end up being a done but up.
But yeah, I mean, it's just it's just a ah, it's just Ah, first game back for both sides.
And yes, Liverpool drop points and they've been showing a little bit acidly.
But, you know, we all know they're gonna win the title.
It's a matter of Wen and the fans have been waiting for 30 years for this title, so I think they could wait a few more games.
So and by the way, credit to Jurgen Klopp.
He's done incredible job with this Liverpool team.
He'll actually become the first German manager ever to win the Premier League, believe it or not.
So so, yeah, he's done incredible job with the team, but yeah, they were just off off on the day.
Uh, minimum, you know, did get the start.
As you say, the Japanese international his first primarily start They've gone from RB Salzburg.
Imagine RB Salzburg.
They had early Holland and Mina mean Oh, that's pretty.
That's pretty crazy to think about, but I thought men amino is actually pretty good on the day.
There's no really other Liverpool player that I can say that.
And then Anthony Anthony Gordon for Everton.
You just Ah, night was a 19 years old, I believe, and he got.
He got his first ever, primarily starting in a big mercy side.
He didn't get subbed off in the second half, but I thought that was a bold decision from Carlo Ancelotti.
Ah, but yeah, Britten's Everton's playing work.
I'll give them credit and they seem toe frustrate.
Liverpool in Liverpool just never found their groove.
You, you know, we've seen so often.
Even when Liverpool get off to slow starts.
You think they're eventually going to get going? But that just that just never happened.
Give credit average and they were disciplined defensively.
And, uh, I thought I thought their defense was was very disciplined.
And the whole leveraging team is old, very disciplined throughout.
There were no mistakes that I can think of, really.
And, uh, that they didn't make it easy whatsoever for Liverpool.
I was impressed with Angelotti.
His game plan going into the game was interesting.
Those two strikers paired up at the top.
You complain that 442 formation recently.
They put it against jealousy, of course, and have worked so well there.
But against Liverpool, it worked really well.
It compressed Saudi Oman a speed on the outside compressed Trent Alexander Arnold's crossing ability.
So his gang plan worked.
I got the more voters of pointless probably feels like a three points for them, honestly, just trying to stay up in the table right now.
But I think that Liverpool are going to get this title really do.
And one part about those late winners is a field and those fans pushing the long toe a victory.
I've seen so many times this season there actually have been down many games early on one now 213 to whatever you want to say.
But then they come back and then they win 3 to 2 want Ah one now so they're fancy really helped them.
That's why I think Everton really messed in this game because this game is you wild with their fans at Goodison Park.
So I think John Everton this this this is probably going to feel like a win for them and I think this is a good step in.
Angelotti is rebuild for ah Everton squad.
Let's move on, go to the top four race So Liverpool gonna win The title was a matter of time.
They're currently 20 points ahead of Manchester City with eight pictures left to play in the Premier League season.
So the focus has gone from Liverpool to the top for race.
So now we have Manchester City facing some F F A A regulations, some penalties.
We're gonna have a here and pretty soon I think it's July from non stake in and now it's gonna be big for teams like a Manchester United or like a Tanamor like a wolves that are trying to get that fifth spot in the Premier League to get that Champions League spot next season.
Let's talk some challenges that we talked about.
Just bring up wolves.
They went to know this weekend they get three more points there, currently tied with Metro Schneider fit, but mention should have a better goal difference.
So they are ahead.
And what was are a good team.
They don't know it was hard, but schedule is chosen.
I think Teoh, come down the stretch, was chosen.
Started playing the reports that the plane, Metro City, That might be a huge game at the end of season.
Chelsea play Wolves or Lasky Premier League season.
I think they could really make a splash for that fifth spot.
So watch out for wolves to make a charge in the champions of exports, so it should be it city.
The Baku goes down.
But if you're Chelsea, If Your Majesty night, if you're wolves, that your Tottenham, you want him to secure the top four because you don't really want her here.
And especially now books like FFT might even overturn that to make Man City champions league eligible, which would be huge for Metro City and their franchise.
So what are thoughts on a challenger like wool with potentially creeping up there at the end of the day again champion 60 and steal one Them from the club? Yeah, absolutely.
I wouldn't count.
I wouldn't say that's crazy One bit.
And I wouldn't count out Wolves possibly competing for that Champions League spot coming down to the last few games of the season.
And, uh, imagine that Wolves in the Champions League, that would be truly incredible.
But they wouldn't deserve it.
If if they do get in the top for I mean, this is a really good team.
No Espirito Santo, uh, another Portuguese guy, By the way, he's done a fantastic job.
He got hired by Wolves.
He won this title in the second division in the championship.
First season there, gets them promoted to the Premier League, and now they're doing this.
I mean, and they have a good team.
If you look at their squad, they're they're good.
They got Roy Patrizio in goal.
Great great goalkeeper.
Another former sporting guy who played with Fernandez.
I'm about 3/4 of this Wolves team seems to be a seems to be Portuguese, but But it's a really good team.
I thought, uh, you know, they got Gorriti and Bali at the back.
The there are there solid defenders, I think.
And then John Latino, who it was very was very, uh, kind of invisible at Monaco.
I mean, he wasn't really a presence at Monaco, suddenly has come toe wolves and has become a leader of this team.
The captain of Wolves and influential in the midfield.
And then up top, you got both Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez.
I mean, that's a good deal right there.
You gotta Domine try or a I mean, I believe he's the fastest guy in the Premier League.
I mean, it just throws off every defender and he's a skilled player to um and he came off the bench against West Ham.
By the way, West Ham another story.
I mean, they just never seem to show up on the day, but that wolves got two goals in that game, and, um and yeah, I thought I thought I thought they were.
They played well in the in the game against West Ham and Wolves are.
I think you could argue the most consistent team in the Premier League.
They come out and they perform game in game out.
They they never really surprise you, to be honest with you because, you know, they get the results you expect them to get and and yeah, it's a talent.
It's a talented side and I think I think you can't count them out of the Champions League Grace, because they keep stringing together wins and they're also a very good team that I think is deserving of at least a Europa League spot.
But hey, why not put them? Put them in the mix with the likes of Man United and Chelsea competing for that fourth Champions League spot? I mean, it would be a great story if they did get that fourth spot, but not if it was Chelsea.
You got knocked out and talking about Chelsea.
They have a big game against Manchester size Metas your city this coming Thursday before grab up this episode.
I want to look forward to match Week 30 a lot of really good games coming up in particular measures.
City burst Chelsea but also met disunited place after you die in a huge game for the Arab League.
And the both of them really need those three points to get a Champions League spot.
So what's start off with Chef? You and I ever spent a night.
I don't know what the buyback clause is right now for Dean Henderson with me united.
Um, I'm not sure if you can contract really play in this game there.
Spend some band terms winter if you can play or not play because he is on loan from Manchester United.
So I don't know that's gonna be a big factor.
I mean, if you can play many time, I have a field day in this game.
But what your thoughts on Sheff United going to Old Trafford can Manchester.
I finally get the three points and they really need over Chelsea are just get close and get a Champions League spot.
Yeah, as you say, they really need it.
And that's why I think they'll get the three points, man.
You know, at the end of the day, it won't be easy.
I mean, Sheffield, what a story they've been, you know, take nothing away from Liverpool.
They've definitely been the story of the season, but I think Sheffield you can put him right up there as well.
I mean, Chris Wilder has done a great job in charge of Sheffield United, just truly remarkable what they've done.
I think they Ah they have the least money to spend out of Ah, out of all the Premier League teams and somehow some way they find themselves this high in the table and, um but I think you have toe yet the consider Sheffield.
They're coming off of a bad loss, just a uncharacteristic performance from them in the early game Sunday against Newcastle United.
A big win for Newcastle three? No, and it was just an off day for Sheffield United.
I don't know if they'll be able to bounce back.
I think it will give them some confidence.
I mean, I meant sorry, I think I think it will give them some motivation is when I meant to say Teoh, bounce back in this game and show that they really do deserve to be a team in in the European spots to at least get into the Europa League.
But I think many either gonna come out ready to go.
I think they'll they'll get the win 2 to 1.
It will be my prediction because the men united know they need the three points there.
Five back in Chelsea and then following day Chelsea plays Manchester City.
I hope Chelsea don't drop points in that game but man said You're looking awfully good right now.
So it's a It's a real possibility although that Chelsea Man City game should get to in a moment.
Should be absolutely fantastic game.
Ah, but Liverpool I'm sorry, Man United are probably looking at the opportunity thing.
Hey, we could get the win and then hopefully they're not usually rooting for Man City to win, But they're definitely gonna hope that man city, uh, be Chelsea.
And then, just like that, man United would only be two points within Chelsea and my oh, my the Champions League race would be on and just something else to chime in about.
Obviously, the title race is done.
There is none now because Liverpool are gonna win.
But thank goodness that we have ah, great battle for the Champions League spots and down the bottom of the table.
It's so close down near the relegation zone.
So even though we know who's gonna win the title, there's still there's still so many so many uh, so many spots to be sorted out.
I should say with the European spots, who is going to drop down to the second division? So there's a whole lot of games to look forward to.
By the way, in Project Restart since the primary returned on Wednesday, there's 35 days of primarily games in a 40 day span.
I mean, you couldn't ask for better than that.
So, yeah, as you said, the first official national back ended today.
And then we've got a whole another midweek match day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
And I like how the primary leagues spreading out their games to and dip in the different time slots you got to.
You got to time slots for the midweek games and then they're spreading the games on the weekend too, so we can get all the primarily soccer we would ever have.
Ah, dream for and making up for all all the friendly soccer that we missed.
But yeah, I think men you know they will get the three points against Sheffield.
But it should be a good game.
It should be good came no doubt about it, as you say, and my prediction for the metrics to check the United Game is similar to yours.
But I think that it will be a 22 draw.
I think that mansion shared are coming into this game attack minded.
I wouldn't be surprised to see polled Bun Boom all right with one another because metric denied press are really pushing for that.
They saw the impact that he had off the bench last week against Tottenham.
Different Formacion even made from only gonna social because it's hard to fit in and pulled Buck and Fernandez into that 4231 That their custom.
Um so I would say to two men HF united.
And then I think that the chose cemented the game is going to be really hard for Chelsea.
Ah, if they get a draw, it will feel like a win for the before the Blues.
Because manage that.
You look so dominant right now.
Even with players injured, Philip Holden's learn it.
Step up the young Englishman, you're gonna try to attack and try to get girls triangles early in this game because they needed a girl early.
They can't just sit back like against Aston Villa and not going to go into the later part of the game because, man see will already have scored.
So expect Frankland part to issue out a spastic team against Manchester City with the likes of Pulisic and maybe in the cold months until again the start on the right wing.
Because they need pace in that game.
But I think Dani are that he's looking forward.
