This is gonna be a special little show going in on the MBA.
As you know, my name is Juice.
I worked with the fantasy football par on all podcast for formats that say I want to talk a little about the NBA.
A native s So it's gonna be humongous this year.
Um, then be hasn't been this exciting in years.
And when I say years, years since, literally what past When the Celtics came together with the big ticket Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.
Because every year in basketball, we know who's going to the finals, right? You say, OK, LeBron is going in the East Warriors going in the West before that LeBron is always going in the East.
They're gonna win against whoever shows up that they're gonna be playing against, right.
And then before that, it was the Celtics most likely be going in the East, and then whoever collector who everything going the West were.
It was always done in a couple different teams.
It's been a really long time since we could say there is a lot of different teams.
I can make it this year.
The West is straight stacked.
No disrespect to these because he's still do so does have a couple of good teams.
But the Western Conference finals hasn't been this good since of anybody remembers East to be Lakers with Shaq and Kobe against the Kings with Baby Webber or White chocolate and Weber picture choosing Portland with Shed and Bonzi and Steve Smith and all these dudes.
Then you had to go through Timmy D and and Bowen and TP Tony Parker.
And noble enough and all of these.
And then, at the same time, you have to get past the Sons who, of course, had a Mars started, my still bawling.
And also the Mavericks were okay with Dirk and Steve Nash.
So those days, with every single round, you can fight because they could be a heck of a team.
We're back, but off the West and of the nice teams that we can see the thinner the basketball universe in my eyes is in Los Angeles.
We got the Los Angeles Lakers against the Los Angeles Clippers.
They're gonna be the two most dynamic teams in two opposite teams in the same way, and I'll tell you why.
I'm gonna tell you which one's gonna be better, But let me start with the Los Angeles Lakers names four days names, household names, All Star or used to be all star names all over the place.
So starting out at point guard, they said they're gonna play LeBron James.
Who knows if this is sure not, But regardless you got LeBron James.
I don't care what anybody says.
He might be the most skilled basketball player in the history of the MBA.
Then you're gonna go with Anthony Davis when healthy.
Anthony Davis is a stirred up by stud in his coat is ice.
So we got him going on a team you got car cools my up and coming little shooter.
Good little to guard does a lot of the team can get hot.
And then you got Billy Cousins and JaVale McGee and a couple other people along with that.
So I like everything that the Lakers the door.
But then you go to Los Angeles cookers.
Slippers are the roll up your sleeve in the n B A.
George won the best two way players.
You leave top 52 way player in the game, and you got quite a letter.
The number 12 way player in the game, along with a whole lot of defense from Patrick Bradley, Montrose, Harold so that maybe the little Harkless if they just got in Portland, who was their best defender and sue back, who's a more than nice center defensive player, and I look a tte both directions of bold, different teams.
I have two different mindsets over the Lakers.
What's their identity? Is our identity.
Putting together a bunch of big names and see what happens is their identity.
Offensive skill will make it work.
I like I'm a little bit lost because LeBron and his age doesn't really play defense. Let's be honest.
I love LBJ, but he doesn't play defense anymore.
Kyle Kuzma doesn't play the Regents booby.
Cousins cannot play the defense.
So now you're down to two guys I see on the team playing defense, which is racial.
Rondo and Anthony Davis.
So then I say, Well, maybe they'll just outscore any team that they play guns.
Let's see who's oh well, be of average three point shooter that they have on the Jeep that's gonna log big minutes.
Is a good kid. It's good.
Looks like it's a lot of promise.
He's not a shooter.
He's not a straight shooter.
He's no Clay Thompson.
Of course, it's hard to say it's Clay Thompson.
He's no Kyle Korver when Kyle Korver was younger nowadays, but Cosma can hit some games.
Another game. She's off.
LeBron could shoot the ball sometimes, but other games up raise our Rondo should not be allowed to shoot.
Anthony Davis is a good shooter for a big man, but Anthony Davis isn't signing up for a three point contest.
So the three point game is not gonna be the Lakers game.
So they're not gonna just outscore you with these.
Like the Golden State ways have previous years, So do they have the mind set to become defensive lock down players? Yeah, I don't think so.
I don't but the Los Angeles Lakers, to me look like a car that pulls up with beautiful wheels, a beautiful paint job.
When the engine turns on, it sounds beautiful.
You like man, and I got me a car here But then you pop the hood and you realize there's not much substance behind this.
Oh, this is just a Honda Civic engine look good when it pulled up and I said, Look, all these pieces together, this must be the best car in the world.
But when I pop the hood and diagnose what I actually see, I see if Tina doesn't fit together, not in township level.
I'm in Los Angeles Lakers, though, be a great or beautiful thing to see.
Exciting thing to see.
I don't see it being winning culture.
Everybody knows ownership and g m's everything's disarray.
LeBron wants to be the coach of the team, which I get it previous years.
That's helped him win.
But Lakers can't go halfway and not all the way.
LeBron said. Give me tie, Lulu.
They said, No, sir.
Let me give you who I want to give you.
So, Lakers identity, please.
Unlike you will read a message because the Lakers I did me is something that I literally I'm waiting to see what it is because I just don't see it right now.
Now let's go across the locker room to a team called the Los Angeles Clippers.
They have an identity.
We know that Danny s hard knows defensive basketball, but that's not all, folks.
They're not the Grizzlies.
When Tony Allen was bawling and Zach Grandma and they wanted to win the game 78 to 70? No, sir.
Last time I checked.
Leonard is a stud on offense, so it's Paul George.
Last time I checked, they have the best score off the bench.
Maybe in the history.
No disrespect the Jamal crop because I love you.
But off the bench score, Lou Williams might be the best.
Let's see when it comes up to a point, and then what else do they have? They have guys who, though they don't have an offensive game as much.
Our great setting up and just shooting the three point ball went open.
Patrick Beverley can hit the shot when he's open Mo Harkless and hit the shot when he's open, but they're gonna let Paul George in quackery and then go from there.
I don't see the Clippers with the same pretty much same team without Paul.
George, without quiet, was able to take the Golden State wears six games.
You know why that is because they are defensively sound.
And on the same page, Patrick Beverley was the best defensive player on their team.
Do you realize that Patrick Beverly was put on LeBron James and Kevin Durant? Playoffs.
Patrick Beverley Patrick Beverley, though, was Stout.
Now becomes your third best defender on the team.
Yeah, I want you to tell me a team who's third best player on offense, it's gonna be able to outdo a Patrick Beverley the third best work before We're gonna stay.
Where's I could say, Well, Clay currying Katie.
I mean, I'd be a heck of a barrel always around.
But with two players was the third player Draymond Green, Russell, D'Angelo, Russell Is that what's gonna put fear in their heart? And you realize Patrick Bradley took Katie out of two of those games and that's coming.
When the best wouldn't best when a best players in all of basketball, maybe the best when he's healthy.
So you have the best defensive team since Chicago Bulls will run Harper Jordan, who haven't identity, who don't have egos who have a purpose going against a team that has big names but all have different agendas and I don't see them messing quite well at all.
L A will be live and I'll be at that game.
Lakers Clippers the first time they play.
But don't expect too much of a game.
You'll see you'll see when they put Kwai Leonard on LeBron.
When Zuba is letting a D score May 25 game for him, and Kuzma has to be guarded by Paul George and whoever else they want to put the damn game gets put on my patch above it, you'll see Clippers have run the Lakers for quite a while and they're going to continue to run the Lakers.
I think the Clippers finishing this year in the top three, the Lakers 67 or eight.
But I see the Lakers on early exit, and I said it was going far.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
I'll have another dream.
You know what? This? Let me know, but that's what I see. Going forward, folks.
Thanks for tuning in.
