This is your Barker's Chris Muller.
This time on the NFL calendar is one usually defined by optimism.
Teams and their fans are excited about new additions to the roster as well as players coming back from the previous season who are expected to make a major leap forward.
Even though this off season has been unprecedented in league history, that general sentiment still remains.
So with that in mind, here are three things I'm very bullish about for the 2020 NFL season.
The first is Kyler Murray.
I think the Cardinals quarterback has a chance to make a major leap forward in year two.
He acquitted himself well last year despite having very little help from his offense of line.
Third round pick Josh Jones out of Houston should help that immensely, as he was protected by some to be a first round talent.
And Murray has better help this year in terms of skill position players.
Kenyan Drake played 1/2 season for the Cardinals last year and was effective, but he should be even better now that he's been joined by DeAndre Hopkins, who should make a solid, wide receiving corps elite.
If Murray can take advantage of his weapons and what should be a line that holds up better in front of him.
He could be one of the league's best quarterbacks, and Arizona could be a surprise team in 2020 second thing.
I'm bullish about Kevin's.
Stefanski, now the Browns new head coach, didn't have a traditional offseason to implement his way of doing things, but he scores points simply by virtue of the fact that he's not Freddie kitchens.
Stefanski has sounded and looked the part.
So far, whenever he's been on camera, he has struck a more balanced and more normal tone, frankly, than kitchens did.
And he should have the kind of offense that works perfectly with Baker Mayfield minimizing risk while allowing a talented quarterback to still take shots down the field.
Stefanski loves play action.
In last year, when Mayfield was throwing play action passes, he was much better than on traditional drop backs.
Lastly, on bullish about the Detroit Lions this coming season, Matt Patricia has to win.
And lucky for him, he has a team around him that might be capable of doing it, mainly because Matthew Stafford should be healthy this season after missing most of last year with a back injury.
If Stafford stays healthy and a bunch more New England Patriots imports are able to shore up a defense that added third overall pick.
Jeffrey A Cuda cornerback.
The Lions could be able to contend and save Patricia's job in what appears to be a watered down and have see north.
So there you have it.
